La Suerte de Loli - #66 – Parte 1 de 3
From Tuesday: Rogelio offers Loli 30% of the GR shares, the same as Vicente. It was Domingo who found the report on Nicky’s bio dad searching through Octavio’s papers and then gave them to Rafa. Idiot Bruno approaches Vicente as he’s leaving Global Radio, introducing himself as the assistant to “our” papa and tells Chente he can count on him for anything.
We begin with Loli’s complete astonishment at Vicente thinking that she would cooperate with his plan to ruin Roglio or darle en la torre a él (hit him where it hurts the most). Loli: “Why would I?” Vicente: “Because he deceived you. Your life is a complete lie and so are the lives of my family. I’m going to deal with all of it.”
Lolil: “I don’t know what you’re up to, and I don’t want to know. What Don Rogelio did was very bad; but I, unlike you, am grateful". Chente sneers that maybe he gave her unconditional love. Loli: “That’s it! You can’t come to my home and try to poison my heart with your hatred. I’m not going to be part of your plan…not going to try to get revenge on him. You know why? Because, thank God, I’m not like you!”
Chente shifts gears and apologizes to Loli He says this has been difficult for both of them. He says he doesn’t know what he was thinking. He’s sorry. [I smell a rat!]
Selma is back. She had gone out for a hamburger and Jack saved the day remembering the place he’d taken her to a while ago. Mati and Art talk. Mati suggests changing the locks (presumably so she can’t wander off). Art begs Mati’s pardon for the way he behaved with Gabo and Christi. Mati accepts the apology and puts his arm around Art, but something about his expression tells me he’s not completely over it.
Paulina and Vicente are having dinner. He tells her he’s thinking of trying to get closer to Loli. He says that he hates that his father deprived him of growing up next to his sister. [Wow! I need a shovel instead of a keyboard for this crapola.] Paulina is impressed. She thought he was going to sue Rogelio and sue Loli. He tells her he wants to put all this behind him.
Rafael is looking on his computer for Raúl Acuña, Nicky’s bio dad.
Bruno is in his garage ragging on the guy who took Rogelio’s car instead of working on it in Bruno’s garage and then replacing it with that car with the flames on it. Altemio tells Bruno that he had to give some guys Bruno’s boss’s car as “part” of a debt he owes. [This guy DOES have some avocados.] He goes on to say that Bruno can’t take the replacement car out of the garage yet because the cops are looking for it. He says that they’ll change some things on the car and that it will be moved then. Bruno tries getting tough for a millisecond, but the guy threatens to tell Melissa about all Bruno’s lies and he backs right down.
As I predicted, there’s some tequila involved while Rox and Mati talk with Loli about her leaving GR. Rox tells her that Don R. has been wandering around GR looking lost. She ends up telling them that she began working at GR as an assistant, but her rise later wasn’t because of her merits. It was because her biological father is Rogelio.

Vicente is at home and telling someone over the phone to take charge of what they discussed. We hear a man ask him if he’s sure he wants to do it. Chente says he tried to do the right thing with Loli. But…the way things stand now she’s with him or she’s against him. After he hangs up, he muses to himself that he has nothing against Loli; he’s just looking out for himself. Then he smirks and says: “Well, it’s a little bit personal.”
Loli has taken Nicky to school. She may be leaving here to enter a contest. She’s sure to win first prize for the ugliest sweater in California. Octavio shows up. He says he just wanted to see how she’s doing. He knows that she quit her job.
Bruno once again tells Melissa that Altemio will bring back “their” car soon and take away the other one.
At GR Rafa tells Rogelio that Loli left everything in perfect readiness for the music festival.
Octavio’s surprise for Loli was to take her golfing. They talk. Octavio is very supportive. She tells him that her life is a lie; she did well at GR not for her abilities but because Rogelio is her father. He hugs her and tells her it’s not true.
Rufino approaches Bruno, who’s managing to screw up photocopying. Rufino praises Bruno and said he and Vicente were talking about Bruno’s talents. Bruno says that he’s a larva, ready to become a beautiful butterfly. [novelera gags a little.] Rufino tells Bruno that he’s asking Bruno to do a favor for Vicente and Bruno eagerly agrees. Rufino hands him a thumb drive.
Rafa comes to Hunky Bar and confronts Apolo. Apolo says he lied about Nicky’s father being dead because he didn’t want Octavio to keep obsessing and to put it behind him. Apolo: “And I’m sure you found out that he’s en la bote y le dieron penal de muerte (in jail and has been given the death penalty). [Not sure the timing of Raúl’s sentence, but Governor Newsom issued an executive order in 2019 declaring a moratorium on the death penalty in California and ordered the closing of the execution chamber at San Quentin.]
Loli cries on Octavio’s shoulder and then the golf lesson begins. After a couple of suggestive moments where Loli puts her trasero near Octavio’s nether regions and Octavio looks around to see if anyone saw, Loli is ready to try. She takes a massive swing with a wood and hits Octavio in the face on the back swing. Later we see him covered in blood and Loli driving him away in a golf cart.

I hate even writing the next part. Somehow a laptop that was Loli’s is still on the desk in her empty office. After 3 tries Bruno guesses the password as Mariana and puts the thumb drive Rufino gave her into the machine.
Cesar is outside his former restaurant, taking a break and castigating himself for the lies he’s been telling Rox. Dulce comes out, impatient, but listens when he tells her how bad this is…lying to Rox. He tells her he’s still fond of her (Dulce) and that the restaurant represented everything to him: his savings, his hard work, years of his life. He has tears in his eyes and Dulce embraces him. And, of course, Rox has wandered up and sees this.
At Hunky Bar Loli is taking care of Octavio. He has a bandaged face, and she’s doling out pain medication. His phone rings and she answers. His beer supplier had shorted an order. Octavio tries to get the phone away from her, but Loli won’t give it to him. She negotiates perfectly. There will be no price increase and two extra cases will be sent to compensate for the shortage. Octavio: “Wow! How could you think your radio career wasn’t real?”
Rafa tells Domingo about Raúl Acuña and says he’s been trying to tell Loli but she isn’t picking up.
Rafa then looks at his phone, rushes out of Loli’s house mumbling: “Loli, what did you do this time?”
Rufino takes back the thumb drive from Bruno and tells him that Vicente is very pleased with what he did. He’s sure to go far at GR. He goes on to say that discretion is important. Bruno makes the lip sealing gesture.
Lupe rags on Bruno for the umpteenth time about Rogelio’s car. Bruno gets a call from Altemio who says he has good news. The guys are prepared to give back his boss’s car. They want $5K. If Bruno gives Altemio that part of the money Bruno owes [for the repairs?] to give them and later pay Altemio the rest. [So…what was wrong with Don R’s car was worth $10K? novelera, stop trying to make any sense of this.]
Octavio is starting to offer Loli a job at Hunky Bar after seeing her skills in action when Rafa calls. She does pick up. He says: “You aren’t capable of doing something like this. An email came from your computer.” He sends it to her. Apparently an email went from her computer containing a confidential psychological report about Don Rogelio and it went to the entire Board.
Is Bruno ever going to get any comeuppance for his idiocies?

I thought the golf course “Octavio therapy” was the best of the episode. I had to laugh because in my first attempt at golfing, I had a similar situation where I took a swing and smacked the golf pro giving me my lesson in the head! It was awful! Luckily, he and Octavio were just a bit bloodied. I never golfed again. 😊
I was sad for Cesar. The whole Bruno situation was ridiculous, I hate what is transpiring. He definitely needs his comeuppance!

Muchísimas gracias, novelera, for this excellent recap of a dreadful episode. I am grateful as always for your including some Spanish, and, like VVS, I loved your asides. As for the episode itself, I think your comment near the end ("novelera, stop trying to make any sense of this") says it all.
I was puzzled by Mati's suggestion to change the locks. How would that stop Selma from leaving the house? Do the three of them have to unlock the doors just to get out of the house??
You ask whether Bruno will ever get his comeuppance for his idiocies. Frankly, I'm afraid that Bruno, Melissa, and Carol will not get anything like the nasty comeuppance they all deserve--for their idiocies, their greed, their cowardice, their mendacity, etc.
Actually, I was astonished that Vicente entrusted Bruno with carrying out his plan to ruin Don Rogelio and Loli. I wondered why Loli's computer would still be on her desk; I assume the laptop must have belonged to Global Radio. And that no one has ever warned Loli about using an insecure password, one that even a moron like Bruno could guess. Of course, a hacker could have broken that password in two seconds, even if s/he knew nothing about Loli. Any password-breaking software would instantly identify it, since it uses a normal name. So even if the laptop belongs to GR, part of the blame belongs to Loli.
To end on a positive note, my favorite part of the episode (indeed, just about the only part I liked) was Loli's golf outing with Octavio. I enjoyed Octavio's concern that someone might see Loli repeatedly backing into his, um "nether regions" (thanks, novelera). I also was impressed with the expression on Octavio's face when Loli hugged him for comfort when she was upset (right before the actual golf lesson). That expression spoke volumes about Octavio's feelings for Loli. Bravo to Joaquín Ferreira, who plays Octavio.

Are they going to find out that Raul Acuña was wrongly convicted of the crime? Otherwise, I can’t see why they would write a death row inmate into the story as Nicky’s father.
I laughed when Bruno thought of “things Loli likes” while guessing at her password. He typed S-E-X.
I got a kick out of Loli’s golfing moves and Octavio’s reaction.
Really felt bad for Cesar even if he’s causing his own problems. Maybe Dulce will let him have his restaurant back and she can be a “silent partner”.
So far I’m batting .000 with runners in scoring position in the theory/wishlist department. How’s that for a baseball analogy, novelera? (I’m a lifelong Mets.)

Thanks, all. Yes, that was a very confusing episode and doesn't bode well for Loli.
And, as usual, it made no sense. Why would there be a "psychological report" on the CEO of a radio station that presumably also is a registered California corporation? If the Board felt that the CEO was unstable, I suppose such a thing could exist. But the whole board would have needed to somehow get some shrink to evaluate the guy without any actual therapy sessions. And it looks like Rufino is the only snake in the garden.
It sounds like the lackluster writers of this show are having Bruno need to come up with the money to get Rogelio's car back. Bruno was originally supposed to merely take the car to a reputable mechanic. There was no body work needed until Carol got behind the wheel; I thought it was meant to be routine maintenance. That tiny dent could not amount to $10K, even with the high repair prices in CA! Bruno is just being screwed by Altemio, another in a very long list of stupidities.
I don't think Loli will be working at HB for more than a short time, if at all. GR is her great love and I'm sure she'll somehow end up back there.
My father had Alzheimer's and wandered off. He once drove to a shopping mall 20 miles from home and could not remember how to get home. The writers have been pretty subtle about Octavio and Loli. They did the deed once, but he doesn't show the usual telenovela signs of "madly in love", at least that I've seen. I predict he and Loli being close friends helping to bring up Nicky and Sam. And...Rafa. I don't find him as unsuitable as some others here. He's a good father, and has been very warm toward Sam and Nicky both. I can't imagine a novela that showed the passion they have for each other and then went another way.

And, as usual, it made no sense. Why would there be a "psychological report" on the CEO of a radio station that presumably also is a registered California corporation? If the Board felt that the CEO was unstable, I suppose such a thing could exist. But the whole board would have needed to somehow get some shrink to evaluate the guy without any actual therapy sessions. And it looks like Rufino is the only snake in the garden.
It sounds like the lackluster writers of this show are having Bruno need to come up with the money to get Rogelio's car back. Bruno was originally supposed to merely take the car to a reputable mechanic. There was no body work needed until Carol got behind the wheel; I thought it was meant to be routine maintenance. That tiny dent could not amount to $10K, even with the high repair prices in CA! Bruno is just being screwed by Altemio, another in a very long list of stupidities.
I don't think Loli will be working at HB for more than a short time, if at all. GR is her great love and I'm sure she'll somehow end up back there.

Loli has read the message that went out from her email but she had nothing to do with it. I know it says I sent it, but I didn’t. Rafa believes her but if she did send it, tell him now. Do you believe me or not, she shouts. Yes, he believes her, but he doesn’t understand what’s going on. Neither does she. Rafa proposes they meet. She’s on her way.
Octavio asks her if everything is ok. She’s in a rush to leave, she has to fix something. She will be back. Poor Octavio falls off the couch.
Selma is complaining. She doesn’t want to brush her teeth, she wants a hamburger. Art tells her she just ate. But she says she’s hungry. Jack takes her to brush her teeth, then they can talk about it.
Art feels terrible. He hates to see his mom like this. He hugs Mati for some comfort. Jack comes back and says Selma is calm now. Art apologizes to him for yesterday. Jack says no need to apologize because he deserved it. Art chalks it up to we all make mistakes. Jack says we all make mistakes but what he did was very serious. Uh, oh, check out the look on Mati’s face. He’s thinking about that other serious mistake.
It’s not that big a deal, Mati says, besides we are very happy to have you here with us. Mati looks very nervous and guilty. It’s not that simple for Jack. He can’t face them and pretend nothing has happened. He’s quitting. Today is his last day. What? Whoa, you can’t quit, Art says, why?

She hangs up. Oh, no the dog trainer is there, and she begins to flirt with him. She circles him and touches him. She talks about dogs needing love and care and respect but she’s really referring to herself. She’s acting like a dog in heat.
Art is still trying to apologize for how he acted towards Jack; he doesn’t want him to quit. Jack insists that’s the way it has to be. Art gets a call he has to take and asks Mati to continue with Jack. Mati tells Jack he’s exaggerating. Think of Art and Selma. Jack is thinking of them. It was only a one-night stand, Mati tells him. It was more than that for Jack. Selma walks in. She asks if they are arguing. She can’t sleep. Jack takes her away and Art returns.
Art is upset, how will they get along without Jack? Mati says they will interview for a new nurse. Art remembers how hard it was to find Jack. Mati says no matter, maybe they can work it, just the two of them. We don’t need anyone else coming between us. Art questions, what are you talking about? Mati covers quickly, what I mean is we can do this with or without Jack. Mati will find someone to take care of Selma. He hugs Art.

Don Rogelio asks Bruno for his car. He has to go out and his driver is running an errand. Bruno is embarrassed--he doesn’t have the car back from the shop yet. He’s been calling them nonstop. He yelled, he even threatened to sue. Rogelio is concerned. He’s going to call the owner right now. No, no, Bruno says. You’re the big boss don’t tire yourself with these little details. That’s why you have an assistant. Trust me. I’ll get your car, or my name isn’t Bruno Tadeo Torres Tovar. [then his name must be mud] Please hurry, says Don R.
Loli is at Rafa’s place. Loli had no idea such document existed. She knew Rogelio had a crisis 15 years ago after his wife passed but that would be normal. Loli also understands why Rafa would think she had something to do with this because of the current situation but she would never use this for revenge. Rafa believes her, nevertheless, the email came from her. Hackers! She claims. Rafa gets some beers.
Loli floats a theory, she thinks Vicente is behind this. She tells Rafa he came to her house to get her to join him in screwing Rogelio. Of course she turned it down, and then Vic apologized. Rafa says, you believed him? Well, Loli thought it would buy her some time.
Loli can’t believe Vic would do this to his father and that he would ask me his… his…half…half-sister, both Loli and Rafa have trouble with saying that. Well, Vic doesn’t have any friends, Rafa says, Vic lost all his friends.
Loli can’t let this go. She has to do something. She has to let Rogelio know she wasn’t involved. We will do it together, Rafa says. Loli says we need proof. Rafa will look around at Global. She gives Rafa a bunch of kisses and a big hug.
Bruno’s on the phone trying to get Don R’s car back asap. Rufino has walked up behind Bruno and is listening. $10K to get the car back! Oops, Bruno didn’t see Rufino, he was talking to a salesman. Rufino didn’t mean to interrupt, and he couldn’t help but overhear. He will give Bruno the 10K. Next time the salesman calls, tell him yes. No, Bruno can’t accept.
Rufino asks, does Rogelio know why you haven’t returned his car? Rufino knows Bruno is stalling. Rufino doesn’t want an explanation. He says Bruno helped him with Loli so now he will help Bruno. We are a team.
Rafa is on the phone trying to get more info on Raul Acuña. Rafa wants to get a pass to visit him in prison. Rafa also asks this person to find someone to hack into a computer. He wants to find out if it was done and how it was done.
Loli is trying to figure out what is happening and who would do something like this. She needs Mari and opens a video. [like Mari’s gonna tell her Vic did it!] Mari is saving pictures to a flash drive. She wants Loli to take good care of them. Mari plugs in the drive and her computer crashes. So of course, Loli pulls it out of the air that someone hacked her computer with a flash drive.
Well, I guess Bruno took the cash and got Don R’s car back. He thanks Rogelio for allowing him to drive it back to his house. Bruno calls Mel and Carol. Did you buy my car? Are we going on a cruise? No, Bruno got a bonus at the office, however he had to use it to get the car back. They are disappointed and to add to that, he tells them he returned the car to Don R. Mel says to call Altimio to take that junker out of their garage.
Rafa goes to security and the guard immediately asks him if he needs another video deleted. No, he needs footage from Loli’s office from the day she resigned. Rafa asks for discretion.

Rogelio is talking to Rufino about the email scandal. Rogelio says Vicente and Loli were the only ones who knew. Rafa walks in on this and says he spoke to Loli and she knows nothing about this. She didn’t send it. He thinks her account was hacked. Rufino says that’s the typical excuse, a hacker did it. Rafa says the person who did it wanted to hurt her. And me, Don R adds.
Lupe comes running in and says she has something to show them. Telemundo is reporting that Loli Aguilar has sent them information regarding Rogelio Varela. He was admitted to a psychiatric hospital 15 years ago and we have a copy of his file. Rufino pretends to be angry, this woman wants to destroy you! We also learned that this woman is also Varela’s daughter from an extramarital affair and she was never acknowledged. We see Loli, Nicky, Sam, Nora and Domingo listening to the same broadcast.
Nicky and Sam question Loli about Domingo not being her dad. Loli also tries to explain she is not responsible for putting this information out. She must have been hacked. The doorbell rings. It’s Vicente. How could you do this, he accuses. It was you, she responds.
Vicente claims to understand Loli is hurt, but to call their father crazy? Loli says, you know I had nothing to do with this. She reminds him he came to her for help. He’s the one who wanted to destroy his own father. Vicente admits he acted badly but he wouldn’t hurt his father, he loves him. Loli is furious. She swears she will prove he was behind all of this.
He tells Loli she has a sick mind [pot, kettle, black] how could he do something like this? He doesn’t even work at Global. [neither does she, Vic] Did I hire a hacker, he asks? Vic thinks Loli wants to hurt him and his father for the inheritance. Vic says the email came from her computer and her email. Vic apologizes to Nora for coming over like this. Nora understands and says this is a terrible situation. Nicky says it’s time for school and Vic finally leaves.
Lupe asks Don R if he is really Loli’s father. Yes. Her jaw drops. Rufino says this is uncomfortable for us, the station, for you and Vicente. Rafa reminds them to be discreet. Especially you, Lupe. Don’t let this become watercooler gossip. No, no…this isn’t watercooler stuff, she says, it’s on national TV! [hate to say this, she may have a point there but they should not gossip about it.] Don R asks Lupe to leave. [still waiting for someone to ask her to leave for good]
Rufino pushes the theory that Loli did this for revenge. He never acknowledged her as his daughter. It’s obvious. We’ll have to see what the shareholders and sponsors have to say. Rafa defends Loli. Don R is aware of the coming storm. He wants to speak with Rafa in private. If this isn’t Loli, then who, Rogelio asks? Rafa says Vicente. Rogelio can’t deny that as a possibility. Rafa says they need to investigate.
Rogelio says that Vicente declared war when he learned Loli was included in his will. It’s sad to see a son turn against his father for money, he says. Rafa agrees but he has no answers. Don R might have an idea.
Rox and Mati read about the scandal and contact Loli. They have the convo on speaker. Loli tells them of course she didn’t do this. Bruno overhears the convo. Loli says someone hacked her computer and sent the message. Rafa is on the case. Rox and Mati pledge their help, too. Uh, oh, Bruno…
Pau meets up with Vic in the halls of Nova Radio. He’s smiling away. Have you heard what Loli did, he asks Pau? Yes, she heard and Loli shouldn’t have taken things that far. Pau sees the look on Vic’s face and realizes it was all his doing. You did it and put the blame on Loli. That’s what you were discussing with Rufino. You did this to your own father.

Of course, Vic denies it. [and he is enjoying every minute of it.] He says he gave Loli a chance to do things right. Now she will have to face the consequences against me. Didn’t I tell you we would both benefit? Are you going to deny you like seeing Loli dragged through the mud? Pau thinks he has gone too far. He tells Pau he knows what he’s doing.
Rox and Mati are in with Rafa. Security Pancho show up. Pancho says there’s no footage, someone deleted it. Rox says the person who deleted it sent the email. Rafa wants Pancho to ask his coworkers about this but he is worried he will lose his job. Rafa assures him his job is safe. Rafa suddenly gets up and leaves the office.
Bruno asks Rufino about the flash drive he gave him. What was on it? Info about the festival. Some of Loli’s documents. Octavio’s looking better. He’s able to do some work. Apolo tells Octavio that Loli is a bad luck magnet. Octavio asks Apolo if Rafa questioned him about Nicky’s dad. Bruno comes home. He’s been feeling sick all day. He calls out to Mel. Wait till you hear about Loli. You will be shocked. Mel says what a coincidence, I have something to tell you, too. Remember Gema, my father’s girlfriend? Surprise! She’s here! And my little sister, too.
Octavio is at the shelter. Gabriel was in a fight, but they don’t know much else. The worker hopes Octavio can speak with Gabriel. You traded basketball for boxing, Octavio jokes. Are you ok? Rox and Mati are in with Rafa. Security Pancho show up. Pancho says there’s no footage, someone deleted it. Rox says the person who deleted it sent the email. Rafa wants Pancho to ask his coworkers about this but he is worried he will lose his job. Rafa assures him his job is safe. Rafa suddenly gets up and leaves the office.
Bruno asks Rufino about the flash drive he gave him. What was on it? Info about the festival. Some of Loli’s documents. Octavio’s not buying it. Aren’t Mati and Art adopting you? Gabe says he didn’t mention it before, but they are not. Arturo doesn’t want us.
Arturo is arguing with his mother about laundry. She goes to put the clothes in the oven. Ok, she says, she will make a cake, then. Art tells Mati his mother has been like this all day and he can’t get any work done. He’s got a project due tomorrow. Mati says he will take care of mom. Art just wants Jack back. He would do anything, pay him double.
Art’s mad at himself, if I wasn’t rude to him, he wouldn’t have quit. No, Mati tells him, it wasn’t your fault, it was mine. I don’t want to lose you, he tells Art. Why would you lose me? Arturo, what I have to say is very serious, Mati tells him. Art looks worried. Mati is about to tell when Selma drops something in the kitchen. They rush to her. She’s okay.
Octavio is upset that Mati didn’t tell him anything. It’s not Mati’s fault, Gabe says. They are busy with Arturo’s mom. It’s not Mati’s fault. Octavio says he’s going to apply again. Gabe thinks it’s useless.
He tells Gabe after his parents were deported, he was told he would never amount to anything. But now he’s got a bar, his family, his friends. I’ll find a way to have you and Cristi live with me, he tells Gabe, I promise. Trust me. Gabe nods.
Angie is at Pau’s. Angie asks if she is sure she wants to do this. Do you think it’s too much? She says she wants to go through Loli’s garbage and see what she can find. She wants to do this before Loli has the power of the Varela name.
Cesar is at the restaurant, and he’s trying to reach Rox. Voice mail. Dulce says are you going to keep trying? Dulce tells him to come clean with her. He can’t leave the restaurant…or is it me, she adds. No, no, Cesar wants to make that clear. I’m only helping so the restaurant doesn’t fail, he says. It’s temporary. Cesar goes back into the kitchen.
Uh, oh, here comes Rox. What are you doing here, Dulce asks? What do you mean, Rox says, I’m here to find out what Cesar is doing here. Dulce invites Rox to sit down. There’s something I have to tell you, Dulce says, I’m pregnant.
Rafa and Loli are lying on the couch together. They missed each other. Loli says she was acting crazy. Rafa says the rough times are over. There’s a bunch of cutesy things they say to each other.
Both Loli and Rafa get phone calls. Did you find anything Rafa asks? The caller says he knows where Raul Acuña is serving time. When can I see him?
Loli asks what do you want? It’s Vicente. He says, you got your way in the end. Loli says it was you. You erased the security footage, but Rogelio believes me. Vicente was talking about the money, not the email. You may look innocent and say you don’t want the money, he tells her. She doesn’t want it. Drop the act, Loli, you took the money.
Back to Rafa’s call. His caller says, I don’t know if you will be able to see him.
Vicente says, my father changed his will and named your godchildren as his heirs.
Nicky’s father is on death row and he’s going to be executed in a week.
Loli and Rafa turn to look at each other.
And we are out.

Well, dondi356, as we all know, your recaps are well worth waiting for!! What a magnificent job you did, in spite of weather and technology conspiring against you.
Needless to say, I loved your asides and snarky non-asides. I almost always do, but these seemed especially good, starting with "She’s acting like a dog in heat." That really is a perfect description, and you follow it up so well with "Rox says she needs a shot of tequila [how about a cold shower?]" I also appreciated the snarky tone of " So of course, Loli pulls it out of the air that someone hacked her computer with a flash drive." I too was thinking "oh, come on" when the video supposedly inspires Loli's thought about the pen drive, but you expressed this well-founded skepticism with much more flare.
It's getting to the point where guessing what comes next in the plot is easy--all one has to do is think about the least reasonable thing, and that's surely what will happen. A couple of days ago, I said that common sense would dictate that Gema and her baby would not come to live with Bruno et al, and so of course she will. And sure enough, there she is, in spite of Melissa's thinking all kinds of nasty thoughts about her and in spite of the fact that Bruno et al. don't have even enough money for the three of them, let alone a golddigger like Gema.
So how long has Cesar been with Rox? If she is pregnant, how likely is it that Dulce is pregnant by him?

I had hoped for a while that Pau was heading toward redemption, but her wish to harm Loli makes that seem less likely. Although with more than 30 episodes to go, I guess there's still time. Sigh.

So...people who work at Global Radio have cameras recording their activities all day? Yikes! As much as I would have loved a video of Idiot Bruno coming to light, it still seems odd there would even be such a recording.
OK, I'm going to take a bow. I predicted that Gema would come to live with Melissa, Bruno, and Carol after Melissa took that phone call. What will really be fun will be Carol's reaction!
Vicente is getting more awful with every episode. He has the cojones to show up at Loli's house and behave as if he believes SHE put out that email about Don R.
Speaking of Vicente, he keeps showing his cards to Paulina, revealing his dark side. She's looking more and more like the one who will stab him in the back eventually. I was surprised that Pau wants to sink Loli. The writers had, in my view, begun to redeem her. But, if she wants Rafa back, then presumably all holds are barred...according to the "other woman" plotting of all TNs I've ever seen.
Apolo continues to behave oddly. He's been shown as gay; could he be harboring lust for Octavio and this is why he keeps trying to get the old Octavio back? He has outright said it a couple of times. He prefers the self-centered guy who only wanted a successful bar and a string of meaningless sex encounters. Anyway, I don't like his lecturing Octavio about Nicky and/or Gabriel and Christi. And I don't think Octavio does either.
It looks like Bruno has been completely corrupted by Rufino. I predict more less-than-skillful sabotage in episodes to come. I had a brief hope (should have known better) that Bruno would realize how he'd done a horrible thing to Loli, but no. Bruno is too stupid to live!

What is Ruffino planning to get out of sabotaging Global Radio? I don’t understand that at all. Of course, stupid Bruno will continue to help out in that sabotage if Ruff keeps forking out a ton of cash.
I think Apolo is jealous of the changes Octavio is making to be a better person. Hopefully, Apolo will see the light and join in that change. The scene with Octavio and Gabe was terrific. Octavio is the most positive person and influencer of the show. Paulina and Chente have nothing but money and influence and choose to use it for their own, mean and evil benefit. I knew Paulina was a phony.
Your description of Rox and the dog trainer was perfect. She definitely was the dog in heat. I guess the novela producers have to pay actors more to talk? So strange that the dog trainer hasn’t said one word in the few times we have seen him!
Dulce is pregnant. Hmmm, I never got the impression that Cesar and she consummated the “marriage for papers” but she is a pretty lady, if she did away with the blue eyeshadow and did something with her hair.
So glad that Don R believed Loli and that was quite the twist to put the kids in his will instead of Loli. If there are security cameras in offices at Global Radio, certainly there is other camera footage proving that Loli wasn’t even in the building since she resigned. Pancho, the security dude, should have changed the password to the system after Chente left, who else would be able to access the system so easily? Of course, Ruff could be dropping $10k to another security guy if he was able to do that with Bruno.
Loli sure made up with Rafa pretty quickly. I am with Victoria, I like Octavio better.
