364.) We're back to Dumbass Santiago sending a voicemail to Redhead telling her he's done with Gullible Aurora FOREVER.

He also calls Daddy Elizalde to inform him he'll be going to Florence.

365.) Over at Colegio Buena Esperanza: Gullible Aurora still crying like an idiot OMG 😤

366.) Mooching Damian trying to dodge the questions from Redhead about swindling the late Sra. Villasana & Co.,

367.) Martina & Venus ride in a taxicab over to the penthouse apartment of Jackass #2 Camilo.

368.) Speaking of Jackass #2 Camilo: he's getting his freak on with Natasha in the bubble bath.

369.) Casa Santorro: Franco & Steve, Jr., still discussing the problem with Venus including Franco wanting to come clean as Eduardo Juarez.

Steve, Jr., finally has the cajones to declare his love for Venus!

370.) In the meantime, Redhead & Mooching Damian still having marriage problems.

371.) Back at the penthouse: Venus sneaks over to the bedroom & noticed it's completely ruffled & messed up. She calmly walks over to the bathroom & sees Jackass #2 Camilo & Natasha getting their freaky escapade on.

372.) Venus realizes why Jackass #2 Camilo was acting strange earlier in the day over the phone.

373.) Right in the nick of time, Martina shows up & gets Venus out of there. They head over to the living room & argue.

374.) Back at Las Animas (Casa Santorro): Clingy Erika shows up OMG & starts kissing, feeling up & being all over Franco, who's started to regret making wedding plans with this clingy lady.

375.) Over at the Elizalde Mansion: Redhead informs everyone she's splitting up with Mooching Damian.

376.) Jackass #1 Anibal twists the knife with his evilness even further by declaring he & Priscila are having a baby boy. The kid's name will be named Vladimir! The look on everyone's face is like 😲

ECDLP #23

- Marcelo tells Milagros that he and Daniela don’t have any kind of commitment to each other. In fact, they’re currently on a break.
- Marcelo adds that whatever feelings he may have for Lucia are not even reciprocated. He doesn’t care what Milagros thinks and tells her to butt out of his personal life.
- Alonso goes to see Sara to seek counsel about Nora’s overall health. He first wants to make sure that she’s in good physical health before touching on the subject of her mental health. Alonso thinks he can convince Nora to go through with the blood tests etc
- Leti asks Sara what Alonso came for and she just says that they talked about Nazario.
- Lucia tells Magdalena that she saw Rodrigo and for the first time felt nothing for him. The hurt he caused her is slowly going away. But she will never fall in love again. Magdalena acknowledges that she herself has not yet fallen in love again.
- Rodrigo sees the bruise on Brigida’s face and concludes that his dad hit her. Amador tells Rodrigo to ask Brigida why he hit her. Rodrigo doesn’t condone either of his parents’ actions.
- Nora refuses to do any medical tests insisting that she is fine. After Alonso lays on a little dad guilt, Nora agrees to go in for the tests. Rebeca also reluctantly agrees to accompany Nora to the clinic.
- Milagros thinks Marcelo is sucking up to his boss. She tells Rafaela she’s going out alone to sight see etc.
- Lalo was unaware of the fire in the factory and asks Marcelo what happened. He tells Marcelo that he locked the door to the storeroom at the end of the work week so it shouldn’t have been unlocked.
- Amador gives Alonso the full report about the fire. They discuss Amador returning to work at the factory but Alonso won’t fire Marcelo just because Amador doesn’t like him.
- Nora and Rebeca go to the hospital.
- Leti tells Lucia about seeing Rebeca with a young guy at a restaurant.
- Milagros has found Casa Gaxiola and asks for Lucia. She introduces herself and promptly slaps Lucia. Lucia slaps her back. Lucia tells Milagros she’s not interested in Marcelo.
- Marcelo tells Alonso he will try and get along with Amador. He asks to see the official report about the fire.
- Amador and Vinicio agree to meet up later. Lalo sees them talking.
- Leti thinks Marcelo must’ve told his mom that he likes Lucia. She suspects that Lucia does like Marcelo.
- Marcelo visits Nazario. Nazario says there was a combustible substance on the floor of the storeroom that night. Marcelo suspects the fire was intentional.
- Amador gives Vinicio the rest of the money and tells him that the
- Magdalena goes to see Rebeca inquiring about her health. Magdalena says that despite their differences, they are sisters and she cares for Rebeca. With Adriana gone, they should be closer. Adriana would’ve wanted that.
- Marcelo asks Lucia why she treats him the way she does. She wants to keep distance between them.
- Nora and Gloria video chat and Nora says Gloria can date Sergio if she wants.
- Rebeca goes to the factory to tell Alonso about taking Nora in for the medical tests. Rebeca extends an open invitation to Marcelo to have dinner at the house again sometime.
- Sergio tells Rodrigo he’s still upset about his breakup with Nora. Sergio won’t tell Lucia the truth about Rodrigo and Nora.
- Nazario begins showing signs of memory loss.

QT #78, Part 1

- Leo takes advantage of Val's distress over all the missing people in her life and pressures her to agree to a month-end wedding. He wants to throw the house out the window (I love that expression), but she insists on a simple ceremony.

- Sandi fakes feeling faint, and Mat makes her call her fake doctor for a fake appointment.

- Basurto allows Servando to "overhear" him telling Cipriano to take Mags some things at the safe house. Later Servando "bribes" Cipriano into giving him the location of the house, while Basurto peers from behind a pillar with a campaign poster of Leo peering over his shoulder. It's a nice touch.

- Eva begs Bere to return to the pension and lets it slip that Sandi is faking her pregnancy. Bere confronts Sandi, who denies everything and tells Bere that it's Val or her. Tough choice.

- The padre is worried about Remi, who may or may not have ever gotten on the bus. Mat wants to round up a search party for the people-swallowing mountain.
 

QT #78, Part 2

- Servando passes his safe-house info on to Leo, adding the word on the street that Basurto has the hots for Mags. Leo muses that they can use this to their advantage -- kill her and frame him. Basurto's wife also comes up in the conversation, so we probably haven't seen the last of her.

- Came helps Esme move into Dalia's cottage. They talk boys. Esme tells Came to just ask Juan nicely if he's gay. (Would you take relationship advice from Esme?)

- Esme goes to see Dalia, but Corina says she's in with her boyfriend. What boyfriend? Why, the lawyer, of course! Cori says they're not official, but she can tell "which side the iguana chews on." Not sure if this is a real expression or just one of those incomprehensible things Cori says.

- Mat tells Val what Leo said about sleeping with Sandi and tells Sandi what Val said about the fake pregnancy. Everybody denies everything, bla bla bla.

- Tirso gets a very sweet letter from Angelita urging him to do everything he can to get better.
 

QT #78, Part 3

- Sab & Esme are sniping in the sala when Minnie and her shot glass stroll in. She calls them Twattledum and Twattledee; they both call her a boozy old hag and walk out.

- Eva tries to vamp Art into spending the night at the pension, but gets nowhere.

- Dalia's lawyer has set up an appeal hearing on the oversight of the inheritance, but Dalia has to be there in person to prove her competency. Leo and his mouthpiece will be there, too. She's nervous.

- Vicente leaves weepy Lu a voicemail telling her how strong she is, and predicting that Art will get what's coming to him. Art calls Lu, but she doesn't answer. Vicente's message continues as voice-over while Art goes to pieces in his lonely bachelor pad.

Kudos to Lucia for not buying into that "Be the bigger person" crap when that smother slapped her. I almost gave her a standing ovation when she slapped Milagros right back. Marcelo should kick her out yesterday.

Rebecca will not face her own mental health issues, so we can't expect her to see Nora's. Magdalena's come from Rebecca's cruelty and history is repeating itself.

What would happen now if Rodrigo would jut grow a pair and tell a few of the right people what really happened and why he didn't marry Lucia? Not that she didn't dodge a bullet but at least he could expose that nasty brat for what she really is.

Little brat thinks she's Nefertiti or Cleopatra. Have we got news for her.

I liked seeing Tirso rise from his bed of misery to read Angelita's letter. It was sweet and it did seem to encourage him.

I also liked seeing Art descend into helpless agony. From the way he treated Luisa when they were together, you wouldn't think he would be so upset at her loss. If he keeps falling apart, he'll lose interest in his political power.

I can't see how Leo could succeed in that scheme. Too many people already know that Victor has the hots for Magdalena. He is also too level-headed., nor does he deserve this.

It looks like both Eva and Berenice know what Sandy is, or has the potential to become. Maybe Matt would listen to them.

In this case, Esme's advice is very sound. She is aware of the rumors and would not want Camila to waste her time and energy on a dead end. This should be an acceptable question by now, but then again, a lot o hings are behind the times in this little hamlet.

Gla to see I'm not the only person who finds Corina's rants to be more babble than speech.

This is one of the reasons I can't get into the comedy novelas. Between the occasional regional accents, the rapid speech, and the colloquialisms I don't know I can't follow it at least half the time.
 

QT #79 Part 1 of 4

Artemio cried his childish eyes out while breaking everything on the vanity. He had lost his favorite whipping girl.

Sandy confronted Valeria about what she told Mateo. Val was unfazed because of what she overheard, like the time when the narcissistic Sandy accused Val of being obsessed with Matt. “I am a good person, she further said.” When Val told her to prove she was pregnant, Sandy slapped her and thus showed her crazy. “Don't mess with me” was her exit line.

Juan apologized to Camila and said it with flowers. She asked him the big question. He looked uneasy.

Victor brought food to the now-not-safe house. Magdalena wasn't hungry and wanted this to be over. He started to tell her about setting the trap and said it wouldn't be long. He wanted to protect her and said he loved her. She looked a little shocked.

Leonel made the acquaintance of Minnie's shot glass (or its twin) as he read Remi's text messages. He then sent a text to Val saying he met someone.

Val thought about her conversation with Matt about Sandy's fake pregnancy. He phone called to her and she saw the fake message. She texted back about why he didn't call because she was worried. Leo texted back that he had good news and laughed when he sent the next message that he had found her mother.

Magda was outraged because Victor was married. She felt like a prisoner. The fact of being married did not have anything to do with his feelings. She was angry. He apologized and left her alone.

Leo texted Val as Remi that he would be back in a few days to tell her about her mother. She was to tell no one. She was not to call because he couldn't talk. She referenced his failure to arrive at Avon. He dismissed this, saying that finding her mother was more important. She was to say nothing to anyone, especially Matt. Only to Leo. This confused her. He sent one more message and took another drink.

 

QT #79 Part 2 of 4

Camila became annoyed at Juan's lack of reply. He denied being gay, accusing Facundo of lying and threatening to take him apart.

Val went into the study to tell Leo. He put on his act. She was happy.

Surem placed medicinal plants on Remi's back near the wound and told him that Val was in danger.

The next morning Dalia looked out at the garden, longing to go out. Sandy played her dutiful nuera act to the hilt. She then gave her her pills [How did she tamper with these pills?]

Val visited Padre G with the “news” of Remi and her Avon project. She took out her cell to text Matt about ending the search.

Servando met with the corrupt cop we've seen before and got the info about Magda. However, Victor was nearby and heard this conversation.

Flavio testified that there was no impediment to Dalia's ability to administer the estate. Leo contradicted this, saying she was incapable. The radiologist showed scans and testified that Dalia was in control of her mental faculties. Guillermo also testified in her favor, followed by Leo's shark trying to contradict this. Dalia testified her mobility was improving and that she was getting therapy.

Tirso got some paper so he could write back to Angelita. He still believes she is his daughter.

 

QT #79 Part 3 of 4

Aaron had coffee with Esmeralda who asked questions about Dalia's condition. He told her that Dalia was doing well but they would need to be cautious. She then asked him to help her find Matt's mother. He said this would not be wise at this time because of Dalia's condition, as the news could kill her. He then got up and walked out.

Berenice and Chacho then talked about finding work. Her teacher's salary didn't pay enough by itself. Val arrived ad told them she had an appointment at Avon. Berenice asked if she needed an assistant or a secretary. Val said she needed to get ready quickly. Chacho said “Don't you need my permission” to which Berenice said “You are my fiancé, not my owner.” All is well (sort of).

Corina was teaching Lorenzo how to cook. When her back was turned he put a platano into the pot, but she went after him and they were soon dueling with wooden spoons. [Based on past examples, this is a Bingo square.]

Sabina told Esme nothing happened between her and Carlo. This got nowhere.

Val told Matt she was going to Mexico City for a few days. He said he could not drive her but she had come to ask him to help with the soup kitchen.

Aaron took a sip from his pet flask and looked at a large envelope. “I can't do anything; the damage is done,” he said.

 

QT #79 Part 4 of 4

Berenice told Chacho they could not have a relationship if she had to ask him permission for anything like this [Methinks it will take a while for him to get that.] She then told him about the tiff with Sandy over her fake pregnancy. He felt they should not get involved, asking if she was sure because Eva could be mistaken. Berenice was sure Eva was right because Sandy had changed. She listed all the possible motives for which Sandy could be lying about this and said she was afraid.

Val and Matt talked about Remi, which went into uneasy territory. She said Remi didn't trust him, that he was hiding something from her. This was strange to him because Remi had confided in him that he did not trust Leo.

Leo talked on the phone with his lawyer as he packed a bag. Since he was driving to Mexico City with Val he could not make a repeat appearance in court [If anyone could make out the rest, please fill us in.]

It looks like Sandy finally had a positive pregnancy test. She tried to call Uriel.

 

ECDLP #24 (if I could give this episode a title I’d call it “FLASHBACKS” lol)

- Nazario’s long term memory seems to be affected by his injuries from the fire. Trini calls the hospital to speak to Sara.
- Sara assures Trini that the memory loss is only temporary and that his brain only needs to be stimulated.
- Trini first asks Nazario if he remembers Adriana. Flashback to Alonso and Adriana talking about their life/future together. Nazario doesn’t remember Adriana’s accident and death. As the scene ends Trini begins telling Nazario about Rebeca.
- Nora is upset that Rebeca wasn’t home and left her to eat alone. Nora complains once again about having to do the blood tests etc
- Rebeca flashes back to Magdalena confronting her all those years ago about her being in love with Alonso.
- To help stimulate his memory, Magdalena tells Nazario (and Sara who doesn't know the story) about Ricardo standing her up at the altar.
- Upon hearing Magdalena’s story, Sara gets uncomfortable.
- Nazario asks Magdalena if she ever found out why Ricardo left her. Magdalena says she thinks that another woman was involved but still to the day isn’t sure. She remembers asking Rebeca why Ricardo called for her (Reb).
- Rebeca thinks aloud that she’s the worst sister ever. She remembers flirting with Alonso.
- Rebeca says aloud that it’s her fault what happened to Adriana. Alonso walks up having heard what she said and wants to know what she’s referring to. What does she have to do with Adriana’s accident and death?
- Rebeca says she feels guilty that she didn’t take better care of Adriana while Alonso was gone on that business trip. Alonso expresses that he also was worried about leaving Adriana and going on that trip.
- Rebeca remembers the confrontation between herself and Adriana and Adriana’s subsequent accident.
- Trini finishes telling Nazario of Adriana’s death and the theories of how exactly she fell. Nazario remembers being in Brazil with Alonso when Trini called him to tell him of Adriana’s accident and having to give the news to Alonso.
- Alonso visits Nazario. Trini tells Alonso that Nazario recovered one specific memory. Nazario says he remembered the day Adriana died.
- Alonso remembers going to Adriana’s hospital room and being with her in her last moments.
- Marcelo wonders why Lucia acts the way she does towards him.
- Magdalena tells Lucia about Nazario’s memory loss but says not to worry. Magdalena tells Lucia her memories of the day a newborn Lucia was brought home from the hospital.
- Magdalena says she’s also thankful to Rebeca for helping raise Lucia. Lucia confides in Magdalena that she thought she could trust Marcelo but she was wrong.
- Marcelo returns to his apartment and Rafaela tells him to give up his plans of revenge. He remembers when Federico first told him about “Adriana” then remembers finding Federico dead. He wants justice for his brother’s death.
- Rebeca remembers rejecting Federico and him pointing the gun at her before killing himself.

You’re welcome, UA. I totally agree with you. Absolutely nothing justifies what Rebeca has done when it comes to Adriana, Federico and even her other living sister, her husband, daughter, and niece/step daughter.

If anything this was a filler episode but one possible tiny hint of something was given which was that something was clearly on Sara’s mind after she heard Magdalena’s story.

ECDLP #24

Alonso is a vulnerable man whom I think over time Rebecca saw as weak. She knows he has never loved or would ever love her as he had loved Adriana, so it mystifies me how she could remain so obsessed with him. It's worse than Scarlett O'Hara's obsession with Ashley Wilkes.
 

ECDLP #25

- Rebeca freaks out remembering Federico’s suicide and starts screaming. Nora comes and asks her what’s wrong. She tells her that she had a nightmare.
- Rebeca tells Nora she needs fresh air. She goes up to her bedroom and picks up plotting earring for a moment. She leaves her bedroom.
- Trini is still worried that Nazario won’t get his memory back but Alonso assures her that he will in time.
- Alonso tells Trini that her love story with Nazario is enviable. He wishes he had had that with Adriana. He can’t love Rebeca the way he loved Adriana.
- Trini tells Alonso that she and Nazario always wondered why he married Rebeca but eventually concluded that he wanted Lucia to have a mother figure and a loving family. Alonso also knows that Nora resents Lucia.
- Alonso remembers the conversation/argument he had with Nora at the restaurant.
- Brigida is gossiping with someone about Rodrigo being treated badly by the family’s acquaintances because of the wedding fiasco.
- Brigida reiterates that she thought Nora was the better match for Rodrigo but Amador wanted Rodrigo to date Lucia.
- Amador remembers the confrontation with Rodrigo after Rodrigo left Lucia at the altar.
- Lucia goes to see Nazario. Nazario wants to know more about her relationship with Rodrigo and why it ended. Lucia tells him about the anonymous notes she received and discovering the same perfume scent on the notes and in her apartment bedroom.
- Lucia says that ultimately she and Rodrigo reconciled so she didn’t call off the wedding. Nazario says that if he had known something was amiss he would’ve tried to convince Lucia not to marry.
- Nora is getting ready to meet up with Gloria. Teresa hopes for Nora to find a boyfriend but hopefully not someone like Rodrigo. She is sure that karma will come for the woman who caused the breakup between Lucia and Rodrigo. Nora gets a mysterious phone call.
- Lucia concludes her story about her wedding that didn’t take place. She doesn’t know why Rodrigo left her but is sure that one day she’ll discover the truth.
- Nora remembers telling Rodrigo not to marry Lucia and warning him that there would be consequences if he did.
- Leti tells Sergio now that he’s single, Gloria will pursue him. Rodrigo walks up and asks Leti about Lucia. Leti tells him that Lucia is happy. She says that Lucia told her that she gave away her ring as payment for bus fare. Leti exaggerates a little that Lucia celebrated not marrying Rodrigo. Rodrigo says “good for her” and leaves.
- Rafaela asks Marcelo how he met Lucia. Marcelo tells her about first meeting Lalo and then about how he followed Lucia to her apartment. She asks how he confirmed that Lucia wasn’t the woman he was looking for. He tells her about going to Casa Gaxiola one night for dinner but doesn’t go into details.
- Nazario remembers being wary of Alonso hiring Marcelo and what Lalo told him about Marcelo asking about Adriana Murillo.
- Nazario acknowledges that now he owes Marcelo for saving his life.
- Leti tells Lucia about running into Rodrigo but Lucia doesn’t care for details. Leti asks about Marcelo but Lucia doesn’t care about him either. She remembers kissing Marcelo in front of Rodrigo.
- Rebeca is at a bar when a guy approaches her. She quickly rejects him. She remembers going to Marcelo’s apartment to talk.
- Nora arrives at Sara’s office in the hospital. She overhears the secretary calling Marcelo to ask about his arm injury/recovery. Nora remembers meeting Marcelo.
- Sara tells Nora that she wanted to see her alone. She gets right to it and drops the bomb that Nora is PREGNANT.



 

"MEPS" Episode 126:
