DEJAN Ep 9 The Falllout Part 1

So the fallout starts with Alicia listening to the news report on TV along with Gonzo and Yaya whose eyes are bugged out. Gonzo asks if Alicia already knew, bit she storms off and tells Yaya that she is not available for anyone after the phone starts ringing.

Martín and Karina are discussing Cholo’s claim to be innocent and not knowing anything when Martin gets the newspaper and sees the headlines.

Juleech proudly raves about the report htting the airwaves while Chiquis thinks they are out of a job after looking at the comments on line. Juls tells her to chill...she only wants SerJerk to suffer!

Alicia rants with Eva. She can’t believe that Eva still wants her to forgive SerJerk. Eva thinks it had to be Juls who talked to the press, but that is the least of Alicia’s worries…how could the jerk allow the kids to find out this way!!

Yuri doesn’t believe what the press says; they are always looking for gossip.

Now at the news station Juls pretends to be upset that the news got out. She is going to make sure who ever talked to the press is fired!

The phone keeps ringing but Alicia tells Yaya not to answer, Eva picks up and berates the caller. .

Once alone, SerJerk asks Juls why she did it. She swears it wasn’t her; she is going to lose her career. When he asks who did it, Juls accuses all the others in the station. SerJerk still thinks it was her. Juls turns on her her crocodile tears as she insists it wasn’t her. SerJerk gets a call from Julio to go to the office! (Uh-oh!! Paddle or suspension time!)

Fedora goes to visit Alicia. She sees Gonzo and they chat about how horrible things must be for Alicia. Fedora tells him that Ali will need his support and he tells her the same thing. Fedora then asks that Gonzo get her another piece of the pie he made and he promises to get her some. (I’m sure she’d like a piece of another kind of pie!)

Martin leaves Alicia a message; he is there for whatever she needs.

Gonzo goes in to tell Ali that Fedora is there. Ali will be down soon. She assures Gonzo that she will talk to them when she is ready.

Yuri listens as Moises and his buddy joke about the blow out news. She chides them for being gossips.

Julio is upset about the news and rakes SerJerk and Juls over the coals for about a minute. Juls thinks they should make a statement and be honest about the whole thing… after all she and SerJerk are lovers and their viewers will appreciate their honesty. SerJerk refuses to confirm anything.

Miranda is at school when the bully asks how it feels to have her mother being cheated on. Miranda pins her against the wall and raises her fist to hit her, but controls herself.

Yuri is told that Cholo was transferred to the prison. She goes and complains to Mujica but Mujica defends the transfer since the judge gave the order since Cholo is being charged with a homicide. Yuri complains that she was not informed, but Mujica continues to badger her and tells her to take her complaint to the judge. (Mujica has made it to my s*#% list.) Meanwhile, Chulo enters the prison and is harassed by his new “companions.”

Karina advises Yuri that Mujica treats all women like idiots though he actually come out and call them that. She warns Yuri that she will encounter many Mujicas in her career. She then advises Yuri that if she really believes in the innocence of her client, then she shouldn’t let anyone stop her or get to her, especially not Mujica.

Fedora and Alicia talk. Alicia doesn’t know how to face her kids and SerJerk hasn’t even shown his face. Alicia calls Rebeca so she can find out if Juls and SerJerk are still seeing each other.

SerJerk wants to send out a statement that the report is false. Juls insists that they admit the truth, after all the name of their show is “Upfront with the Truth.” Julio backs Juls but SerJerk refuses to have his family be ridiculed. (So only he can make fools of them?)


 

DEJAN Ep 9 The Falllout Part 2

Carlota reads the article while with Sofia who asks if she can spend the weekend with her dad, but Carlota thinks he will probably be “busy.” Sofia asks if Carlota will ever look for some else…and if Carlota does, she needs to give it up with her dad.

Katina and Martin discuss Yuri defending Cholo. Martin is upset that Karina is backing Yuri.

Miranda is with her new friends, the guys, who are commenting on the news and marriage. Culebra thinks that spending the rest of your life with one person is a really big deal...when people get married they should take a class to see if they will be compatible. (Good luck!)

Fabian gets home. Rebeca feels sorry for Alicia. When she assumes the SerJerk is going through a hard time, Fabian thinks he deserves it...SerJerk is obsessed with Juls.

Fedora is looking at the comments online. Eva comes in and scolds Fedora for telling Alicia about all the gossip. When Eva and Fedora start arguing, Alicia tells them to stop. Alicia then gets a call from Rebeca who tells her that SerJerk is still seeing Juls...Fabian just confirmed it.

Juls talks to Lalo, the reporter, and tells him the report was a hit! Fake blonde friend still can’t believe of what Juls is capable of doing, but Juls thinks that all’s far in love and war.

SerJerk calls over Martin and offers him a tequila. They chat for a while about the bar until Martin tells SerJerk how sorry he is about the news. SerJerk asks if it was Martin who leaked the news.

Gonzo confides in his friend that he should have done something sooner; he always suspected something was going on...it’s time his mother stop sacrificing herself for the family and start thinking of herself (points for Gonzo). Meanwhile, Alicia is looking at all the online comments when Miranda walks in and Ali notices that she has been drinking. Miranda thinks she should be able to do whatever she wants just like everyone else in the house.

Martin can’t believe SerJerk is asking if it was him; it would be very stupid of him to put his job on the line… and he doesn’t get involved in other’s problems. SerJerk asks what Martin would do if he were in the same situation. Martin deflects by replying that they have very different viewpoints...and he would honor the name of the show no matter what the truth was. Martin then asks if SerJerk loves his wife. SerJerk only responds with a grin and then walks away.

Yuri is at her office being questioned by Moises, where has she been! Yuri can’t believe Moises is playing the jealousy game. She brings up all the horrible comments being made about the scandal and insists that it is all just gossip.

Martin is home with Enzo when he gets a “thank you” from Alicia. Big smiles!

SerJerk arrives home and is greeted by Alicia and the kids. He denies and lies that the report was just an attempt to make trouble for him by someone who hates him. Alicia thinks it’s time SerJerk tells the kids the truth. When Gonzo asks if Juls is his lover, SerJerk admits that she is. Yuri asks if he loves her mother. SerJerk assures them that it was just something stupid that happened and it will never happen again (did I see his nose get longer?). He tells Alicia that his proposal to renew their vows still remains. Yaya then comes down with SerJerk’s luggage and Alicia tells him to GET OUT! (I hope the kids finally help her kick him to the curb!)

I so enjoyed Sergio and Julieta meeting with their bosses at the network and him ending up the odd man out as they sided with Julieta’s approach.

Yay! Loved the ending with Yaya and the suitcases and the “GET OUT!”.

Yuri got on my nerves with the tears in her eyes in front of Mujica after finding out that Cholo was transferred to the prison. That was not a good look. The woman needs to grow up and get rid of Moisés as well.

“Fedora then asks that Gonzo get her another piece of the pie he made and he promises to get her some. (I’m sure she’d like a piece of another kind of pie!)”. Yes, please. Are we taking numbers??

“(Mujica has made it to my s*#% list.)” Me too! Let’s add Moises. He is SO not worthy! Meanwhile, Karina has ascended…

I couldn’t figure out if anything was resolved in terms of the work situation. Are they going to admit to the affair or deny?

Yuri “Insists that it is all just gossip”. I am having a very difficult time understanding Miranda and Yuri. I realize they love their father but there was no hurt or anger expressed. Even more troubling is that under the circumstances, wouldn’t a loving daughter’s first and only instinct be to run to their mother, to console, to support? Only Gonzalo is expressing any sensitivity.

Good riddance Sergio. Get out and hopefully stay out.

TU AMOR ep 38 part 1

Hector and Majo are at a hotel lounge area having drinks and talking. They must have met by chance. Majo says she's been up and down the street all day looking for ribbon for the fashion show. She says she knows about the problems between him and Helena. Ha, he says, she has problems with me, I don't have problems with her. She says, "Here's your problem", and shows him the picture of "the kiss" between Patricia and Hector, at the restaurant the other night. She says that kiss has caused all the problems. What kiss?, he asks, It's the angle I'm being viewed. Now your job is to follow me? You guys are spying on me? No, Majo swears they had no idea that he'd be there. You're telling me it was a coincidence? Majo tells Hector that he complains about Helena, but he's just like her. He won't let her explain. Of course they came there by chance. Helena goes to that restaurant all the time. And we got there right when you were kissing. Oh, the kiss again, Hector says. They say pictures don't lie but I'm going to explain this to you. You know how an artist paints an abyss and as you get close you feel like you're going to fall? It's like that. Majo agrees and asks how they're going to get Helena to realize it. Hector says that's her problem and Majo realizes that he's not going back to her. He says in a relationship there has to be trust and that's what he doesn't have. Later, Majo tries to convince Helena to ask Hector whether he really did kiss Patricia because pictures are sometimes deceiving, but Helena refuses and doesn't want to talk about it anymore.

Everyone is getting to know each other at Guillermo's dinner party. Val had never told Claudio about taking him home the day he was ill. Yes, Valentina says, it was the day Yolanda gave her work and she saw his car zig zagging. Guillermo tells Claudio that his novia is his guardian angel. And where are you from Valentina, asks Adelaida, tell us about your family. Pat, sensibly jumps in at this point to change the topic. You were at Yolanda's? She's my madrina. What did you do for her? Surely she was one of her models, says Gullermo. The maid says dinner is ready and everyone heads to the dining room. Pat takes Val aside and tells her not to say they know each other and don't mention the ranch. They'll talk later. Val thinks about it on the way in to dinner. At dinner, Val says she's working at Helena's now. Adelaida asks if she and Claudio are getting married? Yes, in a few more days. They'd love it if Guillermo would come. He says that nothing would give him more pleasure but he understands that Helena will be there and, well, their relationship isn't great. She understands and asks about the bathroom. Pat says she'll go with her. She asks Val where she can find her later. They can't talk here. Val wants to know why she can't mention the ranch or talk about anything. She asks Pat what she's hiding. Pat says don't use the tu form of speach with me. Call me seńora. Val says, you were señora at the ranch but not here, PATRICIA. Pat gives up on that but says they have to talk. Guillermo is very dangerous. Dangerous how? Pat tells Val it has something to do with her father. Val says she doesn't believe her because her father never mentioned Guillermo. Pat says it was a secret which included Pat's father as well. She just found out, and all she can say is that she and Nora are in danger. Later, she's telling Enrique that Valentina has really changed but she still has that stupid girlie voice. Ricardo shows up and Pat excuses herself. Ricardo asks Enrique not to tell Pat that he's found Valentina and Nora. He also asks if Guillermo is dying and promises not to tell Pat. Enrique says he has 6 months to live if he doesn't get a heart transplant.


 

TU AMOR ep 38 part 2

Leonardo and Nora are dining at an upscale restaurant. He orders the chateaubriand with bernaise sauce for himself and a mixed salad with grilled vegetables for her. Nora asks what's wrong with him. She's hungry and hasn't eaten all day. She can eat after fashion week he tells her. One kilo more and she's going to look like a dairy cow, do you know how that will look on the runway? No, she says, why don't you tell me? In the history of humanity, a whale has never modeled in a fashion show. She apologizes and says she knows he's doing this for her. He says yes, he's thinking about her career and her future. He asks her to tell him why her sister left Yolanda's business. She didn't leave. Yolanda fired her and accused he of theft, but the one who was really robbed was Valentina. Yolanda stole her designs. Designs?, asks Leonardo, Valentina knows design? I thought she was only a seamstress. Nora says of course not. She knows how to do everything. Our mother taught her since she was a little girl. And all those designs that Yolanda is planning to show are Valentina's.

Hector stops by his mother's house to take her to the hospital. She asks him how he's going to clear things up with Helena. He says things are going the way Helena wants. Consuelo tells him not to give up. She tells him to fight for her. He tells her that Helena thinks she saw him kissing a client and there is no humanly power that can change her opinion. Connie agrees. She says if she saw it, she'll believe her own eyes. Maybe his client could talk to Helena and explain that nothing happened. He laughs because Helena hates this women to death. Connie asks if she might have done it on purpose to harm Helena and to stay with him?

Valentina tells Horacio that she doesn't know if she wants to read the letters he gave her. She doesn't know if she wants to find out what's in them. Neither her mother nor her father ever told her. Maybe she doesn't need to know what happened. She feels like she's invading the privacy of her parents, especially her mother's. Horacio says he'll speak to her like a father. Her mother, Chelita never told her because Val was a little girl, and later, well, she died. And your father, just becuse he didn't tell you doesn't mean he wasn't going to, the accident happened, and he couldn't. Or maybe he didn't want us to ever know, says Val. Horacio says sometimes life goes a certain way. She's the one that saw the photo, not Nora. Maybe she's the only one who should know. Val says even though she knows, she's not going to tell Nora that they're not sisters. Claudio overhears her say this. She shows him the picture. She says as soon as she saw it she knew the truth. She asks him not to tell Nora. Of course not, for him and his father, they'll always be family.


 

TU AMOR ep 38 part 3

At the hospital, Camila's doctor says the surgery was a success. The scar is going to be much smaller than he thought. She'll need at least three more surgeries. The scar won't ever completely go away, but Camila will be able to hide it with makeup. This is OK with Camila. It will remind her that she survived the plane crash. Helena comes in with flowers and is surprised to see Hector there. Connie thanks her for convincing Cami to have the operation. Hector tells his mother he needs to go to work. He says hasta luego to Helena as he passes her on the way out. Connie shakes her head at this and tells Helena tranquila mi hija. Tranquila. Helena nods and tries to stay strong. Later at a cafe, she doesn't believe, Consuelo when she tells her that Hector is suffering. She says Hector betrayed her. She saw him kissing another woman with her own eyes and it broke her heart. Connie asks her if she's 100% sure of what she saw? How did Hector react when you told him? Helena says she still hasn't told him. Connie asks her if she knows the woman. Yes, her name is Patricia Manrique. She was married to Helena's brother. She's also the goddaughter of Helena's worst enemy, Yolanda Pratas. Helena sees how Connie reacts when she hears that name. Before she leaves, Connie asks Helena to talk to her son before she decides what to do but Helena isn't sure that she can. She asks Consuelo not to tell Hector that they talked.

Analis introduces her mother to Val and Claudio at Fatima's hospital. She explains that they're the ones that paid for Fatima's operation. And they're the ones that wanted to adopt her, adds the sister. Analis's mom says she doesn't know how she can ever repay all that they've done for her granddaughter. Analis says she registered her child as Fatima but on the day of her baptism wants to name her after her padrino, Fatima Claudia. Oh wow, that was his mother's name, Claudio says. He thanks her and gives her a hug. As a reward for her kindness, and as a beautiful gesture, when the nurse brings out Fatima, Analis let's Val hold her first. Val tells the child that as her madrina she'll always be there for her, whenever she needs her. Later, in sister's office the phone rings. Sister tells them that the priest who was going to marry them has just died and they'll have to postpone the wedding.

Patricia is at Yolanda's filling her in. She tells her she got Guillermo and Enrique fighting. Guillermo didn't kill him, because she stepped in. Yolanda asks her if she's crazy and tells her never to do that again. She says Guillermo is an animal and acts on impulse. Pat explains what happened and says she made Guillermo and Enrique reconcile. Nice move, says Yolanda. Pat says she has everything under control, but that's the least of her problems. Yolanda asks her what she means by that. Pat says that's a very long story and she's going to tell her.

Enrique and Guillermo are talking in Enrique's office. Guillermo is frustrated that his heart transplant beeper hasn't gone off. Enrique tells him not to despair and to remember that stress isn't good for him. Guillermo is stressed because he can't find Valentina and Nora. Enrique finds it curious that Claudio's novia is named Valentina. If only, it were her, says Guillermo, but from what Pat has told them, the sisters are poor farm girls. He says they have to do something. He doesn't think that Ricardo is looking for them. Enrique says Ricardo has been checking some contacts at the boarder to see if the girls passed by there. Guillermo says if Ricardo finds his daughter, he'll consider him in his will.

 

TU AMOR ep 38 part 4

Ricardo surprises Claudio by coming to his office. He tells him they have to talk. Claudio says if he came to talk about Valentina he's wasting his time. Ricardo says he doesn't want to fight. He only came to tell Claudio that Valentina isn't in love with him. The one she loves is Ricardo. Claudio tells him to be careful what he says. Ricardo says he's just saying how things are. Claudio lives in the barrio where he breathes in poverty everywhere. He has nothing to offer her compared to Ricardo that could lay the world at her feet. He's not giving up on her. He didn't cheat on her and he didn't cause her pain. He went on a flight that had an accident. Yes, says Claudio, and I was able to win her over. Ricardo says he and Val were separated by a tragedy and if he thinks he's going to keep the path clear for him he's wrong. Claudio says they're about to be married so he doesn't think there's a lot that Ricardo can do to stop it. Ricardo says, "I never lose. I came back from the grave, and I came back to get back what is mine. I faced death and I won."

Enrique and Patricia are having coffee and talking at a cafe. Enrique asks her, what if Ricardo and Val have already found each other and he hasn't told them about it? She says, no, he would have told me. Or not, says Enrique, anything is possible. We have our plans and Ricardo might have plans of his own. Pat says that she'll talk to him. Also, she can't believe Guillermo and Valentina know each other. Well, Enrique says, they say that the blood calls (la sangre llama) Pat says she's sure that Valentina isn't Guillermo's daughter. He asks her why she's so sure it's Nora. Because, the few times she spoke to Juan, Valentina was his pride and joy. Why do you think that was? Obviously because she is his daughter. Nora is the daughter of Juan's sister Maria Amparo and Guillermo Vargas. He asks her what she wants to do. She says the first thing is to talk to Valentina. She surprises Enrique by having Val's number in her phone. Val says she was expecting her call because Pat has a lot to explain to her. Pat says she'll text the address and Val should come right now. Val tells her she'll get there when she can, but she's at work. After Pat hangs up she tells Enrique, "That stupid girl uses the tu form with me without any embarrassment, as if we were equals. I don't think it will be easy to get her to shut up. If not, I'm going to tell her the truth." He asks her why she would do that. She says she's preparing for the inevitable and if she tells her the truth, she'll gain her confidence. Damn them for showing up again! When Val shows up she still calls her Patricia, not señora. She says she only has an hour for lunch and wants to know what Patricia has tell tell her that involves their fathers and Guillermo Vargas. By chance, Leonardo and Nora have come the same restaurant and show up at the table.

Diana, I couldn't believe the tears in a professional situation and facing someone like Mujica. It only lowered Yuri’s already less than respected position in Mujica’s mind. This one sure has been a lot of fun so far. I hope we see plenty of Enzo.

I hope nothing happens to cholo in that prison. He is attractive and there are psychos there. Moises looks like an evil person. Why is she engaged to this guy? What's her problem? Or did she just want to please daddy? She can do better.

Eva, what a lovely mother shes not.
Why would she wish this disease on her child? Would she put up with it? Has she out up with it? Life is to short for that foolishness.
Well let's see what happens tonite.

Jarifa, sad and unfair as it is, tears only add credence to a chauvinist's rationale in worlds they want to lay claim to as theirs.

Nina, I think we are all concerned about Cholo! He looked really frightened as he was led into the new prison. With good reason. Ack.

I hope Alicia's kids get some perspective on what happened.

JoelD, simply outstanding! Crystal clear and chock full of juicy details. This was incredible.

Happy Camila’s surgery was a success and that Fatima’s future is secure.

Hightlight? “Pat says don't use the tu form of speach with me. Call me seńora. Val says, you were señora at the ranch but not here, PATRICIA”. Loved every second. Patricia’s gaul is unequaled. Close behind it was “In the history of humanity, a whale has never modeled in a fashion show”. Ahh Leo, what a loser you are! I say though I delighted in Nora’s aghast reaction (simply because she is so cruel).

Guillermo CAN actually smile, Valentina has certainly charmed him.

The not quite close siblings are keeping plenty of secrets from each other. Ricardo has given limited access to Patricia in terms of his vault of hidden treasures. Enrique’s “hint” was overt.

Helena suffers from low self esteem and given what she’s seen, I can only blame her for refusing to listen to reason. I’m starting to lose faith in Hector whose attitude is a bit too cavalier for me. Go to her tell her you love her and forget your foolish pride.

“Connie asks if she might have done it on purpose to harm Helena and to stay with him?” At least someone is thinking!

Bring on fashion week!!

TU AMOR. Another incredibly good recap, JoelD! Come on, Hector and Helena! Reconcile already! We know you want to. Besides, you're getting boring. OTOH, at least Hector is standing up to Helena. Why would Val pay any attention to what that creepy snob Patricia tells her? Consuelo is probably right on about Patricia's purposely disrupting Hector's relationship. So now we know that Val and Nora are not sisters but (possibly) cousins? The writers are still teasing us. How long before we know the whole story? Really? The priest dies and Val and Claudio can't have the wedding? I suspect the Archdiocese of Mexico City is huge and it should be easy to find a substitute priest. Ricardo is the same old same old in his arguments to Claudio.
 

Embajador S2 #14 part 1

Sancar offers Nare a deal—promise you'll stay in the country, and I will give up custody. Nare won't take the deal. Sancar warns her when they go inside, he will become a horrible guy. Nare asks him, what do you plan to do apart from the report, what else will you present? Sancar replies, I will show that my daughter’s mother is a psychopath. [original: he said I will tell you what I won’t do, I won’t tarnish your name]

Nare realizes that Sancar won’t show the report and he never even thought to use it. You used it to distract me, she says, I focused on the report while you were doing something else. Sancar tries again, tell me you're going to stay, Nare, because you will be upset with me. Why would I, she replies, I’m mad at myself. Why didn't I notice! Sancar smiles, it's not easy get mad at me, right? [he calls her “pamuk”, his nickname for her, it means cotton] Let's not fight anymore, he tells her, stop fighting and I'll give you custody. Let's make amends for our daughter. I’ll bring some sodas to celebrate.

Nare says, what if I lie again and instead of staying, I run away. How can you trust me? Sancar answers, I already distrusted you for many years, I won’t do it anymore. I will trust you, he says with tears in his eyes, take care of Melek and tell me you're going to stay. She says she can’t. He raises his voice, you'll suffer a death when you walk out of court! I hurt you for years, I'll hurt you to keep custody, and that will hurt me a lot! I won't be able to bear it!

Nare says, if you're going to end up hurt because you're going to hurt me, then don't do anything, give me custody. Sancar makes another proposal, let me take care of her, you can go alone to Switzerland. She’s stunned. He asks, can't you go alone? Can't you leave Melek? You can't, right? He asks her to understand. I can't separate from my daughter, he says [in Turkish], I burn without you, I die without her.

Nare tells him she won't be mad at him no matter what he does. I won't bleed even if you shoot me in the heart, she says, you know why? Because it will be the first time that you hurt me for a good reason, your daughter. They are called into the courtroom. Nare tells Sancar, I want to see how you are going to attack, it's time to enter.

Melek is with the psychologist and playing with the 3 dolls. Doll Melek says to Doll Nare, I just want to talk to you, I don't want to talk with Cagla. Cagla also uses a doll to speak, I agree if Melek does not want to talk to me, you guys keep talking.
[The following is Melek speaking using all the dolls]

Mom, can you please ask my dad if we can have a picnic on the beach? Nare asks Sancar, can you take us for a picnic? Of course, he replies, with pleasure. Cagla (with her doll) asks a question to Nare, can I go with you, I'm dying to go. Nare asks Sancar, can Cagla accompany us to the picnic? Sancar answers, I'm so sorry, but it will be a picnic for three, you, our daughter and me. Cagla understands and says, you will not take me because the family is just the three of you. Melek says, dad, do you want us to be alone? He answers that's right, just the three of us.

Cagla the person asks Melek the person, you are a family, should I tell the court that? Melek answers right away, it's true, tell them please, I want my parents back. Cagla tells her, if you are a happy family, they will give you to them. Are you a happy family? Melek says yes, but then sadly has to admit that’s not true. We aren’t happy anymore. Dad has another wife, and they will have a child. It will be different, they will be together and happy. Melek hugs Cagla and cries.

Embajador S2 #14 part 2

Meanie shows up at Kman’s house. Ceylan rushes to her, you had me worried, is the baby still alive? Meanie shoots a look over to Akin, sitting at a distance. Of course, didn’t Mr. Akin inform you? Ceylan says yes, but she doesn’t trust him very much.

Ceylan drags Meanie further away and tells her all that happened was a sign. You told him that you would give him Sancar’s daughter. And look what happened. Your little one got sick. Ceylan warns, don’t do it. This is not a joke, a curse will fall on you. The Lord will take your son!

Meanie tells Ceylan to stop talking. Akin walks over to the women and asks Ceylan to make coffee. She says she won’t make coffee for Meanie, it’s not good for the baby. Akin says then she should make tea. Ceylan leaves in a huff.

Akin warns Meanie, if you come here too frequently, they will discover you. Meanie tells him everyone is in court for the custody trial, they don't care about her. So why are you here, Akin asks? Meanie says she told him-- Sancar brought an ultrasound machine, and the doctor comes tomorrow. What am I going to do?

Akin explains that Ceylan is expecting a child and Kman doesn’t know about it. If he finds out, he will want her to have an abortion. Meanie’s not making the connection yet, why are you telling me this? I need a solution, she says.

Akin understands. He tells Meanie to have to fake a nervous breakdown to save herself from the checkup. This will buy time until you can give me Melek, he tells her, and I'll get a fake doctor. Meanie asks, what am I going to do when I have to give birth? Am i going to give birth to a stone? Akin tells her, don't worry, Ceylan has the child we need right in her belly. What? Ceylan comes with the tea. Meanie looks uneasy.

Tension in the courtroom as the judge begins, we have the testimony of Melek’s grandfather, Mr. Guven Celebi. He stated that you should be the one to take custody of your daughter, Ms. Nare. Our court will be in charge of deciding what is best for the girl.

The judge addresses Sancar, your wife is expecting a baby, right? Sancar stands and answers, that's right, your honor. The judge continues, the declaration of Ms. Nare mentions that your wife treats her badly and if you get custody, she wouldn't treat her stepdaughter well. She would be torturing her all the time, is that true? Sancar replies, if she puts a hand on Melek, I will divorce her immediately. She would never do it.

Nare’s lawyer speaks up, your honor, we brought a witness who can confirm. I invite the mother of Mr. Sancar, Halise Efeoglu to take the stand. We can see that Sancar is astonished his mother is really going through with this and Halise looks mighty uncomfortable.

Melek has stopped crying. Cagla has a question for her, your dad has a wife, does she get along with you? While Melek thinks about what she should say, Halise answers in the courtroom, she (Meanie) does not treat Melek well.

The judge asks, what has she done to the girl? Halise replies, Menekse is young and selfish, she is jealous. She wants to push them apart. The judge follows up, do you consider it more beneficial that the girl is with her mother instead of Mr. Sancar and his wife? Halise hesitates, she looks at Sancar, then tells the judge, yes, exactly, she will be happy at her mother’s side. Sancar feels his mother’s betrayal and Nare gives a nod to Halise.

Sancar’s lawyer addresses the judge, my client wants to talk, your honor. The judge agrees but has a question for Sancar first, wouldn't it be better for Melek to stay by her mother's side and not disturb the peace with your wife? Ms. Nare has a job that earns very well, she meets all the conditions to care for your daughter. You can see Melek on the days determined by the court. What do you think Mr. Sancar?

Embajador S2 #14 part 3

Sancar responds, your honor, if I could see my daughter, I would have a reason. She will take my daughter abroad as soon as she has custody, and I will never see her again. The judge asks Nare if it’s true. Nare replies it is not, he can visit when he wants. The judge starts, you will be able to see her—and Sancar interrupts, so then, why couldn’t I see my daughter for many years, why did she punish me by hiding my daughter?

Nare claims that he (Sancar) is lying. The judge asks Sancar, why do you think that she punished you? Sancar looks at Nare and says, she told me. Nare speaks directly to Sancar, that was a lifetime chance for the three of us. And then to the judge, living with me is not possible, but her father can visit her when he likes, there is no such punishment. She looks at Sancar.

Sancar’s lawyer says, we can prove the opposite, we have the evidence. Sancar is reluctant to use the evidence and he grabs the lawyer’s arm. Sancar turns to Nare and gives her one last chance. The shot is about to go off, he tells her, you will get hurt. Promise me you won't leave. She turns away from him. She’s standing firm. The judge is impatient, are we going to see the proof or not? Sancar gives the go ahead to his lawyer.

Sancar’s lawyer calls Mr. Guven Celebi to take the stand. Guven picks up a short stack of books and Nare realizes those are her diaries. The clerk brings the diaries to the judge. The families look puzzled and Nare begins to panic. Sancar puts his head down. He didn’t want it to come to this.

Flashback. Guven hands the diaries over to Sancar and says, she only took a couple of them, these she left in Podgorica. The ones with a bookmark will be very useful to you. Sancar reads and is upset. He asks Guven, what is the price? End flashback.

Guven explains, my daughter wrote in all these notebooks over many years. She wasn’t going to allow my granddaughter to meet Sancar. I confirm that it is her handwriting, and these are her notebooks.

Sancar’s lawyer asks for one book. He opens to the damaging page and asks Nare to read the excerpt. Nare is devastated. She looks at Sancar, who avoids her gaze. Even Guven keeps his head down.

Nare stands and starts to read hesitantly: Today Melek turned four years old. And what she wants as a gift is to see her dad. I had to find a way to explain to her that we couldn't see him. I had to be strong [they have her say "Sancar" here, in the original she stops short of saying it.] She has to take a breath to compose herself, then continues, you will not forgive him, you will not forget. He will never see Melek. That will be his punishment. [Turkish] He will only see her in the afterlife. End excerpt.

Nare looks at Gediz, who is crying. Sancar is teary, too. His lawyer says, we demand that this serves as proof and that these books are investigated by the court.

Gediz explodes and rushes towards Sancar, now you are going to invade her privacy? She wrote that because of the damage you caused her! He belts Sancar in the mouth. The judge orders that Gediz be taken out of the court.

Meanie finds her mom out on the patio sipping coffee like she owns the place. Where have you been, girl, Atike asks? You had me quite worried. Meanie questions her mother’s behavior, you don’t belong to this house, don't pose like that. Atike says she just wanted to enjoy it a little. Meanie tells her not to get used to this life. I do not intend to share the hospitality of this house, she tells her mom. [she means she will be the only lady of the house]

Embajador S2 #14 part 4

Atike shoots back, you shouldn’t get used to it because they will also throw you out when they find out you had a miscarriage. Neither woman sees Gulsiye sneaking up to spy on them. Meanie tells her mom the problem is solved, I found the baby today. Atike is thrilled. Are you serious, she asks, did you see it in a dream? No mother, our baby…. Meanie is just about to finish her sentence [and her stay in the mansion], when Necdet notices Gulsiye lurking. He shouts at Gulsiye, hey, what are you doing hiding there?

Gulsiye jumps out of her skin. Did you want to kill me or what!? Meanie comes over and accuses, don't tell me you hid so you could spy on us! Luckily Gulsiye has an out—the chickens laid their eggs here and I just came to pick them up. Why would I listen to what you say? Gulsiye adds, and where did you see your dear baby? Meanie replies, on ultrasound. They leave.

Back in the bedroom Atike asks, tell me which baby, where did you see it? What baby are you talking about? Meanie reminds her mom about Kman, the man who came the other day. Yes, she remembers, Sancar’s enemy. I'll take the baby of his lover, Meanie says, Sancar will be the dear dad of Kahraman’s son. What?! Atike says this will lead to ruin for them. Meanie replies, Sancar ruins everything because of Nare, I'll screw it up a bit, too.

Court is out and Sancar chases after Nare. She doesn’t slow down, she’s getting her daughter. He catches up to her and asks, are you mad at me? You promised you weren't going to do it. Look at me.

Nare asks, you read my notes? Sancar says he read just the fragment. You didn't read anything else, she asks? I really wanted to, he replies, but I did not. She’s upset. They were my secrets, she says, you didn't read them, but you gave them. He tells her he warned her. You and my dad teamed up to leave me completely naked. But don’t worry, I won't be easy to beat, I'll hit you where it hurts. She walks away.

Nare and Sancar enter the psychologist’s office. Melek is anxious for the news. Who am I going to stay with? Both, right?
Flashback. The judge postpones the hearing because of the new evidence. In the meantime, Melek will temporarily stay with her father.

Sancar explains, the judge said you're going to stay with me until everything ends. Melek asks, and mom? I wanted our family back, she tells her dad, but you already have a family. You already have a son and a wife, I don't want to go with you, I want to go with my mom. Melek clings to her mother.

Nare reminds her that dad said it will be temporary, it's only until this is over. Will it last long, Melek asks, when will I be able to see you? Nare reassures Melek, why are you talking as if we are not going to see each other again? I will always go where you are, isn’t that clear to you? Melek asks if the judge sent her with dad, too. Sancar laughs [he wishes!]

Sancar tells Melek, your mother will never leave you. Not even if Menekse is living at home, she asks? Nare tells her daughter, dad and no one else will stop me. Sancar says to Nare, [in Turkish], I will always have a place for you.

Cagla reminds Melek about what she wanted to ask her parents. Melek picks up her doll, mom, can you ask dad to take us on a picnic? We didn't finish the other time. Nare and Sancar look at each other. Nare picks up her doll and asks Sancar, picnic, tomorrow? Cagla give Sancar a cue and he picks up his doll. He’s not quite sure what to do with it at first but then answers, as your majesty wishes. [Loved that look he gave to the doll at the end.]

We see Gediz waiting outside the courthouse. Nare tells Melek to go with home with her dad. She’s going to talk to Gediz and will see her later. Sancar’s not happy. Nare tells Melek to wait in the car.

Embajador S2 #14 part 5

Sancar stops Nare, you send Melek home with me and will you go with him? You're attacking my weak point? You’re playing dirty, don't you think? Nare shoots back, you and Gediz's wrote the guide on how to play dirty, so I won't hesitate to use your best man (sağdiç) against you. So, you plan to dig my grave in front of my eyes with that maldito, Sancar asks? Nare reminds him, you revealed all my notes and used them as evidence; you played dirty. She gets in Gediz’ car and Gediz takes great delight in sticking it to his ex-partner.

Sancar won’t make a scene since his daughter is there. He tells his men to follow Gediz and Nare because Akin could appear.

As they drive, Nare asks Gediz, what do you know about Sancar that I can use against him in court? Gediz asks if it is because Sancar used her writings. Nare denies this. It’s for another reason—he got temporary custody of my daughter.

Gediz tells Nare that Sancar did many things. Nare is concerned that this might make things worse between the ex-partners. Gediz says, it doesn’t matter, and I'd like to attack first. Gediz adds a condition. Nare knows the condition. She tells him she still plans to leave the country. Gediz tells her he won't be able to help her then. But it would have been a lot of fun to be able to fight with Sancar. He says he will just have to find another way to settle accounts.

They drive up to Gediz’ special place. There are a group of men waiting there. Gediz warns Nare to stay put and lock the doors, they must be Akin’s men. Gediz gets out and confronts them, who are you, are you Akin’s dogs? Nare doesn’t stay in the car.
The guy who followed them approaches. They are ours, Mr. Gediz. What? The man tells Gediz, it is forbidden to enter, sir. Who's forbidding it, Gediz asks? The man responds, its private property, it belongs to Mr. Sancar. He bought it yesterday and barred you from entering.

Nare says, this can't be. Sancar calls Gediz. Rule one of enmity, he tells Gediz, if you don't leave my woman alone, you're going to have to see her from afar. Gediz replies, you can own all the places, but I have her. Nare doesn’t like what she’s hearing. Sancar very calmly tells Gediz, stay away, you bastard.

And we are out.

Serjerkio is , indeed, a little weasel , a lying liar who lies with no guilt or remorse. Juls is a grasping, entitled barracuda. Tgey deserve each other.

I love tbat Gonzo defended his mother from the start. The two girls must be Daddy's girls ....not unusual. My older sister and i were , too , as were our girls . Yuri and Miranda want to keep believing their daddy is a hero. They are closing their eyes to his little feet of clay.

I loved Yaya delivering those rolling suitcases to Alicia. Ha ha ...Hasta nunca , Baby

Dondi, this episode was torture for me to watch. Akin and Meanie are plotting to kidnap Me!ek , and instead of Nare and San puttinv Melek's safety and happiness first , they continue to fight for custody. I really don't know if i can continue to watch . I feel so sorry for that little girl who just wants to be part of a happy fami!y. Awful

So sad watching Melek soill out her heart and then patiently , obediently waiting in San's car. Basta. I am so angry with these supposed adults. Wbat matters first and foremost is Melek. She must be traumatized . She is the wisest person in this show. She knows what is going on and tells it like it is. It's terrible watching her being bounced around as her parents continue to struggle. Nare is completely ignoring the fact that Akin is still out there and a danger to both her and Me!ek.

Tough episode on many fronts:
1- Ceylan wisely pointed out to Meanie that her plotting to help kidnap Melek would only bring her bad luck. Too bad the idiot Meanie doesn't realize that is the reason she already lost the baby. What worse fate awaits her if she now tries to take Ceylans baby and pass it off as her own to fool and keep Sancar in her trap.

2-Sancar ...and Guven for that matter...added another deep wound to Nare. The 2 men that should have stood by her side to avenge and protect her against Akin are now conspiring against her to make her stay. That's got to hurt. She should be safest with Sancar (or Gediz) but I see her point....and to get gutted by Sancar and her dad in court hurts.

3-Not feeling Nare running to Gediz for help knowing how he feels for her. I get she knows he has info to hurt Sancar but this might give him false hope and don't feel she should be using him. 3

4 - Poor little Melek just wants to have a family. Her parents are now busy fighting each other. She's getting some well needed attention so the grown folk can see how their activities are affecting her. Can't imagine the torture and impact of her being kidnapped will have on her. Someone asked why the character wasn't in school. I do remember the 1 episode where Sancar and Nare took her to her new school and she greeted all the kids...but don't recall how the writing got around that....given the TN was shot during covid.

I love the way Nare says Sancar can visit when ever he wants. It’s not like Switzerland is down the block from Mugla. My grandchildren live halfway across the country from me, and it sucks.

I agree that Melek’s storyline is difficult to watch at times, Susanlynn. Read the recaps to keep up or skip the scenes with Melek if becomes too hard to watch. I would miss your voice in the discussion if you stopped. But you must do what’s best for you.

It’s unfortunate that Meanie has teamed up with Akin and now there’s danger in the mansion. Elvan should have told Sancar about the wedding dress.

I agree with your #3, Nett. Nare needs to stay away from Gediz for more than one reason.

This TN started running in December 2019. Filming started that late fall and the early eps were ok. Turkey shut down twice during the pandemic and it affected the show.

Dondi , We have four granddaughters . Two live four miles away, and Hub and I babysat them since they were babies while their parents worked. Not being able to be with them during the pandemic was difficult.Our other two live in another country , so only see them a few times a Year and haven't seen them in over a year.

I am starting to side with San . It was awful that he didn't believe Nare and rejected her and has made many mistakes(consummating that loveless marriage to Meanie), but he is certainly a loving and devoted father who wants to protect Melek and Nare.Geez, he jumped off the dock and swam to save Nare without hesitation and got shot.He earned forgiveness. I think Nare is not thinking clearly . How will Nare protect Melek and herself from Akin if she gets custody and goes to Switzerland?

Wow Dondi,this was a really good recap but this story is one hot mess.
What in the world is going on with these two adults? they are so busy trying to one-up the other (with love) that they're just killing the little girl bless her heart.
That part in the diary where she said she has to punish him for what he did...somebody's going to start askin a question, why does she want to punish him? and what did he do or rather what did'nt he do? Somebody might say something about that rape or is going to have to tell it or those judges are going to see it in those Diaries.

DEJAN Episode 10 Parting Is (Not) Such Sweet Sorrow Part 1

“All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go…There's so many times I've let you down So many times I've played around…” John Denver

The truth is out there – confirmed by the serpent’s (Sergio’s) bitter bile. Yuri and Miranda struggle to process this pronouncement of their father’s cheating, looking bewildered as Gonzalo looks on sadly. With a forked tongue, Sergio promises his three children (and his spurned spouse) it will never happen again! As viewerville roll our eyes and eyebrows heavenward, Alicia has heard enough. With rather astonishing and well-deserved ferocity, Sergio’s belongings have been condensed into two rolling suitcases which Yaya has produced with great flourish.

Sergio is entreated to leave!

Sergio’s long face and sad eyes are not enough to soften Alicia’s stance. Yuri, Miranda and Eva form a (temporary) circle of support around Alicia.

“No my love” Sergio pleads! “Papa” Miranda sobs as Yuri joins her at Sergio’s side. Alicia attempts to stem the hemorrhaging, asking to be respected. “It’s horrible” Miranda says. “Yes it is” Alicia agrees passionately. Eva adds her worthless two cents. Yuri and Alicia get into it about Julieta.

Alicia cries as does Sergio. Gonzalo stands off the side looking angry. Sergio hugs Gonzalo but the hug is not reciprocated. Yuri and Miranda envelop each other in a hug. They move to their father as Sergio holds each of his daughters in a tight embrace. “Te amo” Sergio says straight faced staring at Alicia. Man, he just won’t quit! Alicia stands alone but thankfully Gonzalo goes to his mother.

To his credit, as he leaves, Sergio does look stricken.

Julieta and her friend toast. She looks like a cat who just licked a saucer of cream, selfish and self-satisfied.

We don’t have long to wait to see where Sergio lands. A hotel? No of course not. He goes to Fabian’s where Rebecca is none too happy to see him. As she and Fabian make up the guest bed she gives him a piece of her mind. Sensing his presence is unwanted, Sergio says he will go to a hotel, but ends up staying.

Back at Alicia’s home with her unhappy children, Gonzalo gives his mother a glass of water. Yuri gives her grief. Guilt is bandied about and Gonzalo blurts out that the victim is our mother. No, it is our father Yuri (unbelievably) retorts. Miranda storms off. Eva is just worried about the scandal.

DEJAN Episode 10 Parting Is (Not) Such Sweet Sorrow Part 2

Alicia has had more than enough and goes to her room. She sits in her bed looking at the empty space beside her.

Martin tells Nelson he is preoccupied with Alicia. Nelson quietly concurs.

The next morning dawns. Alicia admits she has a headache and Yaya gives her juice and pills. Yaya is sweetly supportive and tells Alicia she admires her and that she is valiant. Seeing things clearly and precisely, Yaya offers sorely needed comfort and empathy.

Where is my mother Gonzalo asks. She had a bad night Yaya affirms. Eva asks him to join the family at breakfast. Eva says how difficult all this is for the family. What family Yuri snarks? Gonzalo puts down his napkin and leaves in disgust.

Lucas calls Sergio. What do you want Sergio snaps with little tolerance. Lucas chastises him about his amante. Lucas makes demands but Sergio says now is not the time.

Martin goes to Carlota’s and the ex-spouses talk. The conversation is immaterial as Carlota clearly has the look of love in her eyes. The emotion is palpable and yet, the moment is fleeting and quickly passes. Sofia greets her father.

Miranda, looking fresh as a daisy despite her emotional turmoil is ready to drive Miranda to school. Gonzalo looks on - take care he warns her.

At their destination, Miranda jumps out of the car. Miranda doesn’t understand that things are complicated, that things just can’t be fixed. Alicia tries to reason with her youngest, to no avail.

Like a mirage, Martin appears at Alicia’s car. He hands her a box. Is it a pen?

Sergio goes to Julieta’s and says Alicia threw him out. Julieta can barely contain her glee. She says this is his house. He looks at her rather menacingly.

Yuri arrives at the prison. After a gruff pat down, she proceeds through x-ray and is subject to a series of cat calls as she walks down the corridor. Cholo comes in and their eyes lock in a mesmerizing gaze. Yuri steps forward and hugs him. He looks pleased but startled. She brought him some food along with a book of stories by Charles Dickens. How are you? If anyone can provide his response, kindly do so.

Martin and Alicia have coffee talk. She opens up to him about her children, the scandal and he manages to make her smile and they laugh companionably calling each other amigo and amiga. You aren’t alone he avers. Alicia smiles sweetly.

Julieta wants to make Sergio his favorite breakfast. He pushes it away and asks for coffee. She pulls him away from his computer and kisses him. She blames Martin for leaking the scandal. It’s logical she purrs as Sergio seems to weigh this information.

Fedora is having a romantic romp and playfully calls her partner the wrong name. This time, there is no bemused smile. He grabs her face menacingly and warns her not to do that. I hope Fedora heeds this blatant threat and is more careful in the future.

Emiliano shows up at Lucas’ work with a wheelchair. Lucas is upset and the response is a punch in the gut. There is no doubt this is a warning from Sergio although I cannot supply what it is that Lucas wanted (more money?)

Julieta and Sergio are told there will be a special program that night regarding the scandal.

Miranda shows up at a tattoo parlor. We don’t need to see anything further to know where this is going.

The three amigas meet up and Rebecca immediately says Sergio is at her house. Wine is poured and Alicia and Fedora catch up. Rebecca gets a call and is told about the special. She relays this to the others.

At work, Martin receives the same news. Julieta greets Martin and I think she tries to blame him for leaking the scandal. Correct me if I am wrong.

Miranda tells her goldfish she got a tattoo (which is obscured from our view by a bandage. She says it is of the fish her dearest friend. Miranda is sorely in need of friends. Human friends.

The show is about to air and everyone is in place except the host. Frantic calls are being placed to find Sergio, things now in crisis, full panic ensuing. No one knows where he is.
Moises and Yuri join Alicia, Gonzo, Eva and Miranda around the TV waiting for the next round of fire.

We are privy to Sergio’s whereabouts. He is at a bar belting down drinks.

With mere seconds to spare, Sergio arrives on set, striding determinedly to the dais, taking his place next to Julieta.

“Buenos Noches Mexico” Sergio begins…And right at that moment, we end. Whatever carnage is to follow must wait until tomorrow.

Loved “Gonzi” leaving the bfast table in disgust after hearing Eva enlist the help of his siblings in getting Alicia to forgive Sergio.

Yay! Lucas is keeping the pressure on. His mother needs a new wheel chair.

Uh, oh . . . Sergio says he is going to find out who leaked the affair to the press and they are going to pay. He suspects Julieta even as she tries to blame Martín. She is playing a dangerous game, just like Fedora.

Okay Yuri had to sign a release in case she were taken as a hostage at the prison. That's a new one.

I am also disappointed in Yuri and Miranda's siding with their father, especially as they now know of the affair!

To me, Lucas is off putting as I feel he is asking Sergio for things for his mother in anger to get back at him (not that I blame him). A wheelchair is a reasonable request! I wonder when we will find out what happened to Lucas' mother. Sergio is horrid.

TU AMOR ep 39 part 1

At an outdoor restaurant, Leonardo makes some small talk with Patricia, excuses himself, and leaves. Patricia tells Val and Nora to sit down because they have a lot to discuss. Patricia tells them she doesn't want to talk about the past. Then what are we going to talk about?, asks Nora. Val gets right to the point, "You said it's something that involves my father, your father, and Guillermo Vargas, tell us." Nora asks what she's talking about. Val tells her that Patricia is the only one who knows. Pat tells them that a long time ago she heard their father and hers discussing a terrible secret. It was about a man who threatened to kill their father or the two of them. Nora asks why. Valentina guesses that it was because their father owed a debt to someone. Who? asks Nora. To Guillermo Vargas, the same as my father, says Pat. Nora says she's not interested in hearing anything else. If her father owed someone money, it's not her problem and she's not paying anyone a single peso. She gets up and leaves. Val tells Pat that Nora doesn't need to know that they're not sisters. That's better, says Pat, because her real father is a monster. She asks Val which of them, she or Nora is Guillermo's daughter. They can save her from his evil. Val thinks he seems like a nice man. Pat says it's his fault that her father, her brother, and her husband are dead. Val has to go but they'll see each other later. She says that Patricia has a lot to explain to her about Ricardo. When she leaves Pat thinks to herself that she must know that Ricardo is alive. She dials Enrique and asks him to come.

In Camila's hospital room, Horacio plays the miser, complaining to Consuelo about how much it's going to cost Claudio and Valentina to pay for Fatima's expenses. Connie tells him not to play the bad guy, she knows he'd help them out if they needed it. She also tells him how much he means to her but clearly lays out some boundaries. Though separated by a wall, they'll always be together, sharing bread, sadness, and joy, but their individual families will always come first. She thinks he'll move in with Claudio and Val when they get married and buy a house. He has a hard time saying it, but he thought she'd possibly move in with him when the kids leave.

An older doctor is taliking to Rosamaria in his office. He tells her that she was the best student in his career and he knew she'd go far. He tells her that she's at the ideal time for her career to take off. How better than as director of a hospital as large as this one? There is no one he would trust more to hold that position. She's an excellent nurologist and internist who's done incredible things with limited technology. Imagine all the things she could do here. She tells him not to take this the wrong way but she wasn't expecting this. He asks her where she sees herself in five years, professionally and personally. She imagines herself with Claudio and two little girls. Wouldn't a job as a medical executive be a great complement to that?, he asks. She thinks about it, smiles, and accepts the position. He welcomes her and shakes her hand. Later, she tells her assistant, Samara about her new job in the city. She talked to the board of directors, and if Samara accepts, she's coming with her. Samara is ecstatic.

Helena asks Majo to send her the photo of the kiss so she can look at it again. Majo will send it if Helena agrees to ask Hector about it. Then, Helena of all people, goes to Claudio's office to give him relationship advice. She tells him to give Val the freedom to choose the love of her life. If she truely loves him, he has nothing to worry about. Later, Majo convinces Helena to give Hector a call but he's out of the service area.
 

TU AMOR ep 39 part 2

When Enrique arrives at Patricia's table, they discuss Val and Nora, who are no longer the frightened submissive servants of the past. Pat says they're not going to be so easy to control, especialy Nora. Nora worries Enrique the most because she's young and rebellious. She has no filters. Pat realizes that he just gave her the answer. She won't look for Val's help. Nora is exactly the one to save everything for her. Enrique says they have to be very careful. He doesn't know if Ricardo is telling the truth. Pat says she doesn't want to doubt her brother. If he had found the sisters, he would have told her. Ricardo knows that one of them is Guillermo's daughter and how much is at stake. Enrique says they haven't seen him investigating, making calls, or asking about Val and Nora. This makes Pat remember somethng that Val said right before leaving. "She told me we have to talk about Ricardo, that I have a lot of things to explain, and that she and I both know it." Enrique says that makes him even more certain that Ricardo has already found them. Pat says that she's going to investigate this. Later, Enrique gets Hector's address from Patricia's phone without her knowing. She tells him that Hector will be taking her to Yolanda's fashion show. Hector is part of the plan she has against Helena. Enrique doesn't want her to be confused. Hector is very young. She knows he's jealous and reassures him with several kisses.

Mina is at home with Consuelo and asks her abuelo about the look in her eyes. Is she in love or something? Leonardo walks in and says he came to see the future fashion designer. He asks Mina to get some other dolls from her room so he can ask Connie something. He knows that Valentina are Nora are Horacio's nieces and Claudio's cousins but how are they connected to Patricia Manrique and Yolanda Pratas? Leo thinks they're hiding something. Nora told him that Val worked for Yolanda and that she stole her designs. Connie says Yolanda steals designs from whoever she can. Leonardo asks his mother how she knows that. Nevermind, he says, what else do you know about Valentina? Only that her father was on the plane that crashed and was sitting next to Camila. Leo says, Val's father was Horacio's brother? No, says Connie, her mother was Horacio's sister. Leonardo wonders how Val was working for Yolanda and later for Helena, the two best designers in the country. Nora came with her with ideas of becoming a top model. He thinks those two are hiding something. Connie says he should be a writer the way he thinks up stories in his head.

Ricardo is waiting outside Helena's studio as Valentina returns to work. He tells her that every day she becomes more beautiful and he misses her more. She was always in his thoughts even when he lost his memory. He didn't know who she was but he remembered their spring at the ranch and that he still loved her. Well, she thought he was dead and she was trying to put herself back together. He says that they are victims of destiny but life is giving them a second chance. She tells him that she's gotten over him. He came at the wrong time. She loves Claudio. He's not going to change what she feels for him. Just let me try, Ricardo says. It's the only desire of one condemned to die. Don't say that, says Val, you're not condemned to die. You know I don't like blackmail. He tells her that he loves her and he leaves (FINALLY).

 

TU AMOR ep 39 part 3

Hector and Luna are at the taxi dispatch. She is looking at the photo and tells him that Helena is right. He and Patricia ARE kissing. Enrique walks up and says good afternoon. He didn't come to fight with Hector, he wants to know what Hector's intentions are with Patricia. Hector says first he wants to know who he's giving information to about señorita Patricia. Are you her novio, brother, son father, or what? Enrique says, you know who I am Hector. I'm only interested in Patricia's wellbeing. That's two of us, says Hector, Señora Patricia has honored me with her friendship, her trust, and as you saw outside of her house one day, she can count on me for anything. So, Enrique says, your relation is only as a client and a chauffeur. Hector gets up in his space and says, I'm only going to say one thing. If you, or anyone want to mistreat her, they're going to have to deal with me. I'll be watching you. I'm a man of few words and lots of actions. If you come back here or if I see you I won't have a lot to say. Oh wow, you're threatening me?, asks Enrique. I don't know how the rich say things, says Hector, but here in the barrio we don't kid around. Enrique laughs and says he also came from a barrio, and it was much worse than this one. Hector, don't think I've always dressed like this. I left the barrio, but the barrio never left me. I hope I've been clear. As the decent people say, Con permiso. When he's gone, Luna tells Hector that it's obvious that Enrique is in love with Patricia. She thinks Hector is slightly jealous. No, he says he loves Helena, of that there is no doubt.

Helena gets ready to go to Yolanda's show while Majo and Valentina put some finishing touches on their studio's principal dress. Helena says the thing that bothers her is that she'll have to sit with her father. She plans to only talk to her aunt. She takes a closer look at their work and her purse catches on the material. She damages the dress as she turns to go. Majo and Val tell her not to worry and that they'll take care of the dress. When they're alone, Val asks Majo about Guillermo. Majo says he's the most miserable scoundrel you could imagine. If there was a prize for the worst father in the world, he'd win it. Beba is making final preparations for Yolanda's show when Helena arrives. Beba welcomes her and takes her to her seat. She tells Helena that she's going to love the show.

Somehow, Leonardo is able to abscond with the pricipal dress and hide it in a gym bag. Majo and Val are frantically searching for it and they're starting to panic. Majo is going to phone Helena but Val tells her not to. Majo asks what they're going to do. Val says we're going to look for it. Claudio and Leo come and and ask what's going on. Someone took the dress, says Majo. It's impossible to get another by tomorrow. Leo says, Well, I'll leave you, because I have to stay with Helena in the grand salon at the show. Do you want me to give her a message? No, Val says, please don't tell her anything about the dress. Claudio offers to stay but they send him home. Majo says they don't have the dress molds, the patterns; they don't have nada. Valentina tells her not to worry. She's memorized every stitch of that dress. She tells her to hand her the curved ruler as she bends over some new material. Nora shows up later and urgently needs to speak to her. Val doesn't have a lot of time but this can't wait. Nora heard a woman talking in Claudio's office. What was she saying?, Val asks. That Ricardo's days are numbered. He's going to die.

Great work, amigas. I have finally caught up.

Serjerk is some piece of work. He will suffer for what he has done to Alicia, especially because of the additional gaslighting. Blindsiding her with the mariachis and the "proposal" was serious dirty pool.

As for keeping the family together "for the children", that is absurd at their ages. Surely all of them would have seen divorces among the parents of their classmates all those years. However, I do have an old friend who used to say he didn't want his mother to marry again if his father died; he really would have been bent out of shape if there had been a divorce.

The accident must have had something to do with Serjerk.

Julieta seems to have really set herself up for career suicide thanks to that nasty stunt. We have to hope that Eva sees the light, but somehow I doubt it. My guess is that her husband cheated on her and she feels that it's Alicia's turn to grin and bear it.

Chiquis is a fool for enabling Julieta because she will turn on her eventually.

Can this relationship be saved? “Señora Patricia has honored me with her friendship, her trust, and as you saw outside of her house one day, she can count on me for anything” makes me wonder if Helena and Hector’s love is salvageable. One thing is certain, you cannot be friends with the enemy of your beloved. Pure and simple.

It’s a shame that Patricia is the only person who is thinking rationally here. Realizing Nora is the one to help her was a stroke of genius. She realizes Val knows Ricardo is alive yet she doesn’t seem to have any vitriol for the fact her brother lied to her.

Now Ricardo will play the pity card to try and win Valentina back. I hope she doesn’t allow her head to overrule her heart.

Rosamaria’s little fantasy with Claudio and the two girls worries me. Is it a harmless fanciful daydream or obsession??

I've said it at the outset: Serjerk will have a very humiliating fall for his sins. He is likely to end up with a serious case of ED that Viagra can't help. When Alicia isn't cooking for him and when he isn't home he is not following doctors' orders. He also drinks much more than he should. This can't end well for him.

My prescription for Julieta is for her to lose her beauty.

Mujica's misogyny put him in third place on my shit list. That is so 19th century.

Totally agree about Martin and his very handsome dog. I hope we see more of that beautiful pooch than we usually do with novela characters' pets.

Diana, you are a master at writing; thank you for such an astounding retelling of last night's events. Me thinks you are not as limited in Spanish as you think; you caught so much of the dialogue...but you are also a master of "reading" the characters and your interpretations of all the frustrating reactions from the girls and Gonzo (and everything else) was excellent.

It was really hard to watch Yuri and Miranda loyally hang on to their dad. They are both more than old enough to understand that cheating is not okay...and did they not hear the "cheating for years" part?? Do they really think an "I'm sorry" and "it won't happen again" suffices?? I really felt sorry for Alicia, but at least she has Gonzo's support and that of her friends.

And Diana, yes, Lucas did make a comment alluding to the fact that he was expecting more later on. Then Emiliano told him that he hadn't finished delivering all that Sergio had sent...the blow to the stomach was then "delivered".

The Yuri/Cholo romance is really blossoming. I just wish Yuri would be a compassionate with her mother as she is with Cholo.

I always love to hear your feedback. It really keeps me going. I don't want to see Helena hurt even though she's pretty stubborn. I can't figure out why Hector hasn't asked out Luna though. She and Majo are two really sensible and loyal friends. Rosamaria is nuts but her fantasy family was really kind of beautiful. Hopefully her new job will keep her too busy to mess around with other people's lives.

Rosamaria's burgeoning career could be torpedoed if her deception about Ricardo's condition becomes public. And Helena should definitely butt out of Claudio's and Val's love life. Why is Patricia wondering whether Val or Nora is the daughter of Guillermo It shouldn't be hard to get DNA samples from all 3 of them. Hector and Helena get ever more boring and Ricardo even more of a manipulator. Even though Leo stole the most important dress Val will save the day again! And Mina is so perceptive! I'll bet that at the end Consuelo and Horacio get married.

Gediz tells Sancar, you can own all of the places, but I have her. Sancar replies, stay away you bastard. Gediz throws his phone and walks several steps. Nare follows. She’s steamed at him. Gediz, how could you say that to Sancar? What were you thinking? Why do you keep stoking the fire?

Nare notices that Gediz is crying. He can’t even speak. Nare asks, this place is your weak point, right? She takes him by the arm, come let's take a walk so you can get some air. Gediz asks her, will you put your affairs aside to help someone else? Nare replies, what should I do? That's how I am.

She launches into that conversation thing: "Ah, don't do it, Nare. You should think of yourself first.” “Why, Gediz?” “Do you think I'm narcissistic? Is there someone more important what me?” “No, of course not, Nare. You have to concentrate only on yourself, and you have to love yourself. You should stay away from what bothers you.” “I'm very sorry, Gediz, but I've always been like this.”

Before they get in the car Gediz tells her, your good intentions will make you lose, you know? And one day you will lose that, just like I lost it. Gediz takes one last look at the ruins.

Sancar and Melek walk out to the porch. She asks, when is mom coming? She will be here very soon, he replies. [not soon enough for him.] Let’s talk together, Sancar asks her, do you think it's ok? He tells Ayse to call the family. Sancar lovingly gazes at his daughter. She smiles back.

Gulsiye is trying to capture the runaway chicken, Feride. Necdet is nearby watching her. She talks to Feride, I don't understand, your chicken coop is huge. It’s like the mansion. You leave your eggs around. Gulsiye notices Necdet staring, what are you doing? Don't be looking. Stop her and help.

Necdet laughs and approaches Gulsiye. You’re the one I want to stop, he says. Gulsiye replies, what did you say? Necdet says, I want to hold your hand. What, Gulsiye says with increasing annoyance. Necdet pushes his luck, I said I would like to hold you. Gulsiye says, I don't understand. Necdet explains, what I said is that I would love to hug you. Me, Gulsiye asks? [If looks could kill…]

Elvan and Ayse walk. Elvan wonders what Sancar is going to tell everyone. Elvan spots the runaway Feride. Let me take her to the chicken coop, she tells Ayse, and then we continue with the talk. Elvan manages to grab Feride and they head to the chicken coop where they come upon the Gulsiye – Necdet confrontation. The ladies watch from a distance.
Gulsiye asks Necdet, do you want me to spit in your face to see if you wake up? Necdet remains silent. What happened, Gulsiye asks? You were very daring with me, what happened? Apparently, you cowed. Where did your flirting go? Tell me, she dares him.

Necdet says, I just want you to love me. I'm not a coward, you just intimidate me. Gulsiye cautions, I warn you that if you say something like that again, I will destroy you. Necdet pushes his luck once more, the only thing I want is a kiss from you. Gulsiye threatens to punch him in the face if he doesn't stop. She raises her fist and Necdet does indeed cower.

Elvan gets Gulsiye’s attention and motions for her to tell Necdet she will give him a kiss. Gulsiye tells Necdet, you asked me for a kiss, right? Yes. Gulsiye agrees to a kiss. Elvan gives an ok signal. Necdet is ecstatic, will you kiss me? Yes, I will, Gulsiye replies. Necdet gets suspicious. A few seconds ago you wanted hit me, he tells her. If you dare to break my heart, you will suffer in the afterlife.

Gulsiye pours on the act, oh, honey, it’s serious. She grabs his prayer beads and twirls them. I am a very rebellious woman. I do what I please. I want to hit you and then give you a kiss on the lips. Would you like that darling? She swats him with the prayer beads. Necdet laughs with expectation. Yes, I accept, he answers. Elvan nods in approval.

On Elvan’s signal, Gulsiye asks Necdet to close his eyes and keep them closed. Elvan sneaks Feride into Gulsiye’s hands. Necdet puckers up for his kiss. Gulsiye has Feride peck him on the lips. Necdet laughs, don't bite me. Gulsiye laughs and pecks him again and again and again. Necdet opens his eyes and shouts. The women laugh hysterically as Necdet wipes his mouth.

Elvan tells Necdet, did you see? Feride doesn't love you either. Don’t dream in vain. Better leave her alone, you damn pervert. The women walk away and leave Feride in Necdet’s arms. He tells the chicken, excuse me, Feride, but I love Gulsiye.

Back to serious business. Sancar has called the entire family to the table. Halise asks, what's going on? Sancar announces, I want to talk to you ...about custody. Zehra thinks they should talk about it without Melek present. No, Sancar says, she has to hear it. Elvan speaks up. No matter what you say, Sancar, we are all on the side of Nare, and it will be so until Nare has custody of Melek. The court made a mistake. We witnessed it.

Sancar replies, bravo, Elvan. Well done. Do you want me to give you recognition? Elvan answers, please, the Lord knows even if you don't want to accept it. She’s driving Sancar crazy. Elvan continues, now that the issue is settled, the meeting finished—Sancar stops anyone from leaving.

He turns to Halise, mother, you commented that Menekse has not treated Melek well. Why did you say that? You know why, Halise responds. She looks at Meanie and continues, when you told Melek that she would have a brother your intentions were extremely hostile.

Meanie tries to defend, I didn't tell her to hurt her. Sancar, it's a lie! Do you think I would dare to hurt your daughter when I carry a baby? Elvan pipes up, really, Menekse? Sancar asks Elvan if she knows something. Elvan replies, let her (Melek) tell you. Sancar turns to his daughter, tell me, love, did Menekse mistreat you? Melek looks very anxious.

Meanie panics and asks Sancar to stop. Why are you doing this? She doesn't like me, she's going to discredit me! Sancar gently encourages Melek to answer. Has she ever hurt you? Melek hesitates with an answer. She thinks back to when she first came to the mansion and Menekse threatened to cut all of her clothes and pin it on her.

Melek looks at Meanie who has her hand on her belly. Melek starts to answer, well ... Sancar’s listening. She finally answers, no, she did not. Elvan is disappointed [Elvan, when will YOU tell Sancar?] Sancar senses Melek is hiding something. He looks at Meanie and says, Melek won’t confess, however... you hurt her. You will never be alone with her again. Do you understand? Meanie has no choice but to agree. [notice Melek puts her hand on Elvan’s.]

Sancar gives the orders, Gulsiye, Ayse, you will watch over Melek when Zehra and Kavruk are gone. Melek must not be alone for a minute, not a second. Okay? The order is understood. Sancar addresses Atike and Necdet and tells them, if I could trust Menekse, I wouldn’t have offended her with these measures. He warns Atike to watch her daughter. Meanie has the nerve to answer back to Sancar, do you feel calm after you've disgraced me? I became your wife. I am your woman! Sancar asks Meanie to remember the reason. Elvan says under her breath, for a child.

Flashback. The Efeoglus visit the Yilmaz family to ask for Meanie’s hand. It’s clear that Sancar does not want to be there. Meanie serves the coffee. Sancar barely looks at her and finally says thank you. Elvan whispers to Halise, do you know what he's (Sancar) thinking now? What? Elvan replies, "did I lose my mind? What the hell did I get into?“ Halise shushes her.

Halise begins, we are at your home today for a beautiful reason. If you agree, Menekse will marry Sancar. Atike understands and agrees—but—they say Sancar cannot forget the ambassador's daughter. [That gets his attention.] They all say he has not noticed any girl up to now. What happened, Atike asks? Halise takes a quick look at her son and answers, that woman is in the past. It's history, Atike. People speak out of envy and out of intrigue. Menekse likes my son, Halise continues, forget about the others.

Sancar looks at Menekse and asks her to come with him. He has to tell her something. Elvan asks Atike where the bathroom is. But Elvan isn’t going to the bathroom; she’s going to spy on Sancar and Meanie.

Outside, Sancar asks Meanie, do you want to marry me? Yes, of course, she replies, do you want to? Sancar says that's why he’s here [a non-answer]. Meanie asks if he finally forgot the ambassador's daughter. Did that legend of love finally end?

Sancar replies, can I be honest? Meanie says it’s what she would expect from Sancar Efeoglu. Sancar tells her, it is not finished, but it is past, it is past. [we know otherwise] Meanie asks, why do you want get married? Sancar tells her he wants to be a father.

Meanie says, a child is great...and love? Can you fall in love with me one day? I understand, I am not the same as her, but—Sancar interrupts her, listen, I'm going to tell you only once. If you want to be loved, tell me now, and I will leave here right away.

Meanie asks, if I am not going to receive love, what should I expect? Sancar thinks then answers, you will be by my side and we will have a nice home. That I can offer you. However, I will never be able to love you. If God allows it, I will be the father of your children. If you accept this ... we will be married. but if you don't accept, I wish you happiness. Meanie thinks it over. Sancar waits, hoping she turns him down and Elvan is on pins and needles listening in.

Meanie answers, it's time to organize our wedding. Elvan runs off before she is discovered and Sancar turns and walks away without another word. Meanie calls after him and he stops. She asks him, the legend says... that she flew so high that she vanished in the air. Tell me what are you going to do if she comes back? What would happen? Sancar replies, she will never return, and he continues walking. End flashback.

Meanie answers his question, it was because you wanted to be a father. She cries, but you said she’d never come back and she did. Sancar tells her, I know and she brought my little daughter. He looks at his daughter and says, Melek is the only good thing I've ever done. He turns back to Meanie, I married for a son, and for my daughter, I will divorce. Even if you are expecting a child, this will not change. He asserts, I will protect my daughter and send you to the streets. I won't even forgive my family and you will not be the exception. I warn you.

Meanie and family immediately get up from the table. Meanie stops and goes back to Sancar. Don't find me a doctor, she tells him, I already found my own doctor, and today I saw my son! Meanie cries and announces to the table, from now on, I don't want anyone to be close to me! She storms off, family in tow.

Embajador S2 #15 part 4

Sancar looks at Melek and smiles, my love. She smiles back, jumps into his arms and gives him a big hug, which he returns. He takes her face in his hands tells her, I will always protect you, always. She puts her little hands on his face and they embrace again. [I got a little teary here. Sancar/Melek have some of the best scenes of the show.]

Meanie cries outside her bedroom door and announces to her shifty family [I said shifty, but there’s a sound alike word I could use], I'm going to give Akin the daughter de esa infeliz! And I will give Sancar the son of Kahraman as if he were his!

Ceylan shows up at Kman’s marina. He’s ticked. He told her to stay home and out of sight. Ceylan says she’ll be here for only two seconds. Kman answers, and in the third second if Ms. Nare arrives, she will see you. Get out of here! Ceylan claims she has something important to tell him. Kman relents and asks her what it is. She mentions she came because Akin is around all the time and can’t talk there. She beats around the bush and he’s fast losing patience.

Ceylan says, Menekse almost lost her beloved child but it was saved, which makes me very happy. That moment I discovered… I remembered, maybe…. He interjects, just say it Ceylan! She blurts out, I would like to be a mom. Kman mocks her uh-- it's simple. I'll get you a baby, Ceylan. I won't get you a baby, he says, you will drive me crazy. He advises her, if you want to keep me, you will have to forget it. Leave now.

Ceylan asks, what if I'm pregnant? Kman answers, if that happened, I swear you and your child will end up on the street. Do you think we would marry because of that? I’ll make it very clear to you, he threatens, I'll take you back to that pigsty. Do you understand? Get out. Go! Poor Ceylan leaves crying.

Gediz and Nare have arrived at his house. Gediz blows right past his sister without a word. Muge asks, did he fight with Sancar again or what? No, Nare replies, Sancar bought the place that Gediz uses to clear his thoughts. Refika gasps and Muge freezes. Nare asks, why is that place so important? Gediz didn't tell me, Nare says, he did not want to talk to me, he did not want to tell me anything. What happened there? Muge says she'll tell but she needs time.

Dinnertime at the Efeoglus. Kavruk brings Sancar some paperwork. Zehra asks about it. Sancar tells her it’s from the lawyer. Either you give me your shares to manage so l can leave Gediz, he says, or you buy all my shares and become the new owners. Elvan asks, either way it means the partners split. Did I understand? Sancar says that's right.
Halise chimes in, what if we don't like either option? Sancar replies, there is no other option, mother. If you don't remove Gediz, I refuse to work in the company. I will not work with him again. Your blackmail is not going to work. You will have to take care of the company.

Zehra tells her brother, we prefer that you leave the company. She adds, and I'll direct it. Halise thinks this is nonsense. Are you going to replace Sancar, she asks, you, a woman? Zehra bristles, do you think I'm not capable? I've been in charge of finances for years. Do you think that because I'm a woman I can't do it? Elvan likes the idea, in fact, she asks if she can be the new secretary.

Meanie raises an objection, too. Is it that simple, Sancar? Do you think leaving your partnership was not enough? Will you ruin our little child's future? Sancar tells Meanie to shut her mouth.

Embajador S2 #15 part 5

Sancar asks Zehra, do you feel capable? Zehra sighs and answers, of course. We have the majority of the shares. You won’t be able to abandon us. Zehra makes a final plea, listen brother, clear your mind and make up with Gediz or I will run the company. I can end it all. [she means bankrupt the business] Kavruk laughs, enough girl, how funny. No one else thinks it’s funny.

Sancar takes the papers and gives them to his sister. I am not working with Gediz again, he tells her, you will have to take charge. Save it or sink it. He gets up from the table. Halise tells Zehra to stop him.

Zehra stands up and calls out to Sancar--like when you didn't get in Gediz's father's car? Will you let me crash again? Sancar freezes in his tracks.

We go back 20 years earlier ...

Gediz father, Cemil, arrives at the olive grove office. Sancar, is sweeping and Zehra is playing. Cemil asks Sancar, is your father here? No, Sancar replies, he’s in the field. Muge waves to little Zehra who runs over. She tells Muge the car is beautiful. Sancar says, your new car is beautiful, Mr. Cemil, I will buy one when I grow up.

Cemil bursts the little boy’s bubble, why don't you stop dreaming? Forget about the ambassador’s daughter. Let Gediz take care of her. Cemil puts his hand on Sancar’s shoulder and tells him, that girl and that car is too much for you. Be more realistic. Cemil musses Sancar’s hair and goes inside the office.

Zehra tells Sancar, let's get in Muge's car. Sancar is humiliated and wants no part of it. Zehra asks his permission to get in. He answers, do what you want, walks away and sulks.
Muge moves to the driver’s seat and Zehra hops in. They play the radio and sing. Zehra asks if they can take a drive. Muge says her dad has been teaching her to drive.

Zehra talks Muge into driving and they take off. Sancar sees the car move and he runs after it. The girls are enjoying their drive, singing to the radio. The car stops and Muge thinks her dad will be mad. Sancar watches helplessly in horror as a car comes down the street and t-bones Cemil’s car. End flashback.

Sancar turns to face his sister and she approaches him. Zehra lays on the guilt, will you say you can do what you want? She cries, I can't possibly survive with one leg broken. Sancar is upset and tells Zehra, that was a low blow. Elvan pipes up, she learned from the best. Zehra takes her brother’s hand. She sobs, can’t you see, you are abandoning us out of pride. Reconsider.

Sancar is saddened but he manages to walk away from his sister. Kavruk goes to follow Sancar but is stopped by Zehra grabbing his arm. She asks him, did I overdo it, Kavruk? Kavruk shakes his head no and a tear falls from his eye. Zehra hugs him and sobs. Poor Kavruk doesn't know what to do. Uh, oh. Halise and Ayse exchange looks.

Refika recounts history for Nare. Muge had an accident, did you know? And Kahraman lost his wife there. Zehra was injured. We didn't hear anything from Kahraman. Muge grew up, went to college, graduated, came back and started working. And when we first moved here, Refika sighs and hesitates, one night Muge did not come home. Kahraman knocked her out and kidnapped her. Refika sobs.

And we are out.

Dondi, thank you for a great recap of a frustrating episode. These people make life so complicated.

I felt sorry for Melek sitting there listening to all tbe drama that has been stirred up. Elvan should have told San how Meanie terrorized Mekek. Why did she expect Melek to speak up when she knows that Melek is scared of Meanie for good reason .

So San is willing to give up their wealthy lifestyle just ebd his partnership with Gediz. to prove a point

As for Nare, sge seems to thnk she is large and in charge , but she is not putting Melek abd her safety and happiness first .

I still dont understand how Meanie exoects to pull this scam off. Is she planning on hiding in that room for the next months ? Do we know how mang months pregnabt she is supposed to be ?

Looks like Ceylan will have no choice but to hand her baby over to Akin since Kman has told her in no uncertain terms tbat he doesnt want her to have a baby .

I must say these men are just brutal towards these women. Now I know that menekse is a bitch but how did she get that way? And Yeah she probly was that way to begin with, but he married this woman and if he knew he would never love her he should have backed out instead of leaving it up to her. I have no idea where this show is going, but I don't see happy endings. I don't think Melek will get her one and only wish...that she and her parents will form a happy fami!y. That makes me sad . The adults are making one bad decision after the other .

Susanlynn, I had mixed feelings about Melek sitting in on the family meeting. But in the end, I’m glad she did. She saw how her father will always believe her, defend her and protect her. Elvan had her reasons for holding on to the info at the time, but she’s held it for far too long.

We are getting more backstory and more insight into the characters.

Yep, Kman kidnapped Muge. Now you have a better idea of why Gediz and Sancar hate Kman.
Sancar was very honest with Meanie. I will give him credit for that. Meanie saw the dollar signs and probably thought she could eventually change him.

Ceylan was a prostitute. Kman took her out of that life and now she serves only him. I guess it is an improvement of sorts.

Nina, I wish I could forget the ending of Amor Eterno, but I never will.

I’m finally caught up —. OMG what a mess! Thank you Dondi for all your work, you make the recap read like a novel you want to be able to just keep reading to the end not have to wait for each night!
Gediz is off the charts-I don’t think I’ll say his name anymore. Young lady Nare THINK before you act and speak. We understand you are crushed and rightly so but as a mom you hv to think of Melek first and then Switzerland—As others hv said Akin and Meanie are running loose! Now Sancar, I’m shaking my head. Melek is the grownup in this trio.
Dondi, did they ever resolve the phone call Sancar made “in flashback” to Nare and got Akin instead where he heard Nare’s voice saying something like,”who is it amor?” In the background? He hasn’t yelled at anyone about that lately.
Wow Sancar and Nare are HOT together.

SI NOS DEJAN #10 Part 1

It occurred to me this evening that if this were a novel, it would be the perfect summer beach read.

Anyway, here are the highlights of tonight’s capítulo. . .

Everyone is watching Sergio on TV.

In keeping with the title of his show, Sergio decides to put the truth before everything else and unabashedly tells his adoring public a lie denying any romantic connection with Julieta. He converts himself into the victim of a so-called jealous journalist who wants to do him damage where it will hurt him the most by hurting his family. He publicly reaffirms his love for his wife and his family and demands respect for his colleague Julieta. He declares that nobody is going to ruin his credibility overnight. Julieta is not a happy camper but says nothing. When he starts to talk about asking his wife to renew their vows, Alicia has to leave her family in the living room because she cannot take listening to Sergio anymore. Sergio pledges to find out who was behind this unscrupulous attack and warns them he is coming for them. He goes onto a bigger question: do celebrities deserve a private life?

Everyone, especially the bigwigs Tamayo, Fabián and even Diablo, are pleased with Sergio’s performance. Fabián suggests they create a scandal which sounds like to get rid of Julieta. Sergio tells them that he will take care of that. Julieta overhears it all and sits in tears. Martín offers her some water. She leaves the set.

Lucas is watching with his mother. We find out that Sergio always supported them monetarily. His mother doesn't seem to hold any ill will towards Sergio and has come to terms with her situation. Lucas is jealous of the life that Sergio’s other children and Alicia had. Sergio was never around when they really needed him.

Eva is still trying to talk Alicia into forgiving Sergio. Her tactic this time is to concentrate on what a great provider Sergio is. Alicia tells her that she seems to be more Sergio’s mother than her own. She would like Eva to be on her side just once. Eva explains she is on the family’s side. Eva brings up her wedding vows. Alicia reminds her that Sergio broke his vows and she has it from a very good source that Sergio is having sex with Julieta. Eva then asks why do the children have to pay for their situation. On it goes . . .

Miranda as Enigma takes out her frustrations on El Culebra in a video game, He manages to take her down but invites Enjgma over for some talk and beers tomorrow. Enigma accepts.

Martín tells Diablo he cannot believe how Sergio lied. Diablo explains that te truth is what Sergio says it is. The only way that Sergio could lose is if he went to live with Julieta and that is not going to happen . Martín wonders what Alicia thinks. She is the real victim here. Diablo says it doesn't matter because Sergio will win no matter what.

Sergio tells Tamayo and Fabián that he is going to get Martín fired and make sure he never works again. He will make his life miserable. As for Julieta, Tamayo and Fabián advise Sergio to cut her off ASAP because the press will be hounding him and he cannot take the chance of being found out and falling from his position as the most important journalist in Mexico. Sergio never really agrees to do that.

After cancelling a date, Martín asks Kari for a favor: to see Cholo again.She is not pleased.

Alicia starts writing about herself in the third person in the notebook that Martín gave her with the pen he also gave her. Martín is thinking about her.

DEJAN Part 2

Rebeca and Fabián argue about Sergio staying at their home. She wants him OUT ASAP especially after seeing his “performance.” She tells her hubby that “Más rápido cae un mentiroso que un cojo” (A liar falls more quickly than a lame person) and that Sergoo will take them all down with him. Fabián refuses to ask Sergio to leave since he is his good friend.

Sergio pays Julieta a visit. He lied for everyone’s sake. If he didn't, Tamayo would have canceled his program. . . He just wants things to be like they were before. Julieta starts out playing hardball not wanting to be just his lover but gives in when he professes his love for her.

Alicia’s family harasses her about forgiving Sergio at the breakfast table. Alicia fights back time reminding them about what HE did. She ends up telling Yuri that honesty is not her father’s strong suit.

Sergio, Fabián and Rebeca have a very unpleasant breakfast when Rebeca tells Sergio what she thinks when he dares ask how Alicia is doing. She explains that Alicia isn’t doing well but she will learn how to live without Sergio and she will help Alicia do that.

Alicia finds out that Sergio took the driver with him.

Alicia drives Miranda to school. She doesn’t see that Miranda cuts out. Another student does. Somewhere in this episode, Alicia warns Miranda about her beer drinking.

Martín appears in front of Alicia’s car with coffee. They sit and talk. She tells him how she has started using the gifts he gave her and how well her writing is going. The bad news is she thinks they need to stop their little visits. He does work for her husband and she wouldn't want their friendship to be taken the wrong way. She is grateful for all he has done.

Cholo gets a visitor. It is Facundo who explains he is the father of the man Cholo murdered. Cholo said he did not murder his son. He didn't touch the medal. Cholo suggests that maybe his son was killed because he was into crime. Facundo is enraged and starts to hit him. The guards intervene.

Yuri goes to take care of the plants at Cholo’s. She feels she is being followed as she lets herself in and she is. Later she hears someone in the house but manages to get out unscathed.

Sergio is looking for a shirt than doesn't need to be ironed when Eva calls him. She congratulates him on his performance on TV since it is what had to be done. She has some advice for him in reference to his wife. He needs to start sending some gifts Alicia’s way. Sending back the driver to help her would be a good start. She advises him to stay far away from Julieta. He takes issue with that. He is no kid.
 

DEJAN Part 3

Miranda and El Culebra go on a drinking binge at his place. He wants to know more about his pal Enigma. Enigma starts to make up a life to tell him about.

Fedora has her hands full with a lover Samuel. She isn’t pleased with his violence the day before. He says that she made him be like that. It was her fault. She tells him that is what abusers say. He menacingly approaches her and asks if she thought that was abuse. Fortunately, Gonzalo has stopped by with a cake for her but he even asks if she is okay when he sees how Samuel is holding onto her at the door. She says all is well and Gonzalo leaves.

Facundo tells his wife Maruja what Cholo told him about their son maybe being involved in some bad stuff. Maruja doesn't know what was going on with Simón that last week. He was acting very strangely. Facundo blames the stress of his exams and graduation. Maruja asks what if Simón was involved in something really bad. Facundo refuses to think about that and tells her to never mention it again.

Yuri tells her friend about going to Cholo’s and feeling she is being followed.

Gonzalo finds out he failed his med school class.

Alicia talks to her psychologist Carlota who explains to her that no matter what she chooses it is not going to be easy. Alicia doesn't know what she wants.

Martín confides in Dragón. He is falling in love with Alicia. .

Enigma has had one too many beers and passes out. She hits the floor and when El Culebra checks on her, he sees Enigma’s head is bleeding and Enigma is unconscious.

As Julieta is making space for Sergo’s clothes at her apartment, she gets a visitor. It is EVA!!!!

Jarifa, another exercise in excellence.

“Enigma accepts” made me smile. “Más rápido cae un mentiroso que un cojo” (A liar falls more quickly than a lame person)” was wonderful – I always love your vocabulary.

“Alicia tells her that she seems to be more Sergio’s mother than her own”. The unvarnished, bitter truth.

The best offense is a (lying) defense seems to have sordidly worked here. Righteous anger at its cringeworthy best.

“Alicia’s family harasses her about forgiving Sergio at the breakfast table”. Almost inconceivable! Sergio admitted his infidelity to them yet had the unmitigated gaul to lie to the world adding insult to injury. And yet they STILL want their emotionally scarred mother to forgive while the wound is still raw.

Cholo’s words obviously struck a violent chord in Facundo. Unless the murderer can be found and prosecuted, the cloud of suspicion will hang over Cholo’s head. Maruja’s words were angrily dismissed but the truth often is.

Yuri and Fedora narrowly escaped disaster. Seeing strong, confident Fedora reduced to submitting to that horrid abuser’s lies was painful.

A bad day for Gonzalo. Time to tell papa the truth and follow your dream.

An even worse day for Miranda.

Lucas suffers from a variation of being a “first family” child, feeling unloved and neglected after a parent moves on. While he appears grasping and self-serving, the emotional pain a child experiences feeling abandoned is very real.

To be honest, if this had been my episode to recap I would have failed miserably as the dialogue was way above me. I was so happy it was yours Jarifa as here in your hands it became a work of art. Thank you…

Diana, thank you so much but DO NOT sell yourself short. I am sure you would have also done an excellent job with this episode. We each have our own talents and niche. 🥳 Very interesting comments about Lucas especially in light of his mother not having shown any ill will towards Sergio. I had not thought about his situation like that.

Fedora’s situation was very worrisome. Even Gonzalo knew something was off. She was not smart going back into her house with Samuel.

I suspect it will not take long for the true sex of Enigma to be discovered. The name is so appropriate at this moment in the plot.

What could be the need for Facundo to see his dead son Simón as basically a “saint”?

How long before Julieta upsets the boat again? I cannot see her settling back into the way things were.

And as for that love struck hound doggy eyed Martín . . . will he give up so easily?

I thought perhaps El Culebra would start feeling attracted to Enigma but I agree that cat will soon be out of the bag.

I suspect that Facundo is seeing Simon as his heart wants to remember him. I think that when we lose a loved one unexpectedly and here, cruelly, we want to believe the best and remember saintly actions, not sinner. I think Simon's mother has managed to see things as they truly are even in her haze of grief.

I was shocked to see Fedora with Samuel last night after he'd previously threatened her. Is Samuel living with Fedora?? She has her two great amigas, I'm surprised she hasn't confided in them. Gonzalo has his own troubles now, I'm wondering if he will remember to be worried about what he saw.

TU AMOR ep 40 part 1

Nora didn't see who told Claudio that Richard was dying. She only heard her. Nora says she probably misheard because she was listening behind a closed door. Nora tells Majo to shut up, she was listening unintentionaly. She tells Valentina to go ask Claudio if she doesn't believe her and leaves.

Backstage, everyone is getting ready for the show to start. Beba tells Yolanda that Helena has already arrived. Perfect, says Yolanda, even though she's closing fashion week, she won't beat us. Patricia adds that Helena is never going to beat them and tells Beba to make sure to sit them together when Guillermo arrives. Beba will have to move a couple of journalists but will do it. Pat says, so far everything is going incredible, don't let me down Beba. Obviously not, she replies and turns to Patricia. "When your family arrives, you should focus on them so you're aware of the guests." Yolanda sees that this annoys Pat and asks her to relax.

When Leonardo shows up at the show, he wastes no time breaking his promise to Majo and Val. "Helena, I'd like to stay silent and not tell you what happened, but I can't. Valentina, Majo and Claudio are at the taller searching for the principal dress but it isn't there. It disappeared". What?, Helena asks, how could it disappear?, I have to go. He tells her to sit down. Her leaving would be a scandal, the whole world and the press are out there. "They asked me not to say anything, that they would find a solution. That's what you pay them for Helena." Adelaida looks happy to see Helena when she arrives. Guillermo just looks pained.

Consuelo brings home some clothing for Horacio's booth and sees that something is bothering Claudio. Claudio says, you can guess our thoughts just by seeing us. He tells her he's very confused. Ricardo's return has affected him a lot. She tells him he's very capable, intelligent, mature, and above all has a noble heart. What good does that do, he says, if Ricardo marries Valentina because he's counting his days. Rosamaria asked him not to tell Val so she wouldn't be with him out of pity. Connie tells him there is something odd going on. These requests to do this, do that, do some other thing, but don't say why, blah, blah, blah... Claudio says, frankly, he doesn't know if he beleves it or not, but he has to tell Valentina. He doesn't want her to hear it somewhere and think he was hiding it from her. Connie tells him that he and Ricardo can't resolve this because it's not about an object, it's about the love of a woman. Of course, he says, I would never see Valentina as an object but Ricardo thinks she belongs to him. He told me he came back from the grave to recover what is his. Connie tells him to trust Valentina and let her decide. I know that she loves you, she'll make her decision and will be ready to be with you.

 

TU AMOR ep 40 part 2

An announcer welcomes the guests, the lights go down, and the show begins to pulsating music and a light show on a large screen. The dresses are amazing. Yolanda lights up when she hears the crowd clapping by the third dress. It's Ricardo's turn to hit the stage. Pat smiles at Rosamaria when he takes the catwalk. At first, he looks great in his formal wear, but the lights cause him flashbacks. He weakens and falls to the ground. He recovers backstage and says the lights brought on the pain. He assures his madrina that he's OK and that he's going back to the show. He comes back out after the model with the wedding dress and wraps up the show. The other models come back out, Yolanda appears and he takes her hand. The models part, and he escorts her down the catwalk to entusiastic applause. Yolanda is beaming. She congratulates Beba backstage calling the show a 10. It was a total success. Helena will never surpass this. Beba tells Ricardo to go with Yolanda for the interviews. Everyone will want to know what happened. Perfect, let's go, he says as Yolanda and Pat take his arm. Beba can finally relax. She fans herself and gives three arm pumps, squeeking like a mouse.

Helena is very gracias when she speaks to the press. She says she really liked the show and thought the changing lights was original. They ask her if she thinks someday she'll be able to surpass Yolanda after this great show? Helena says she doesn't know if one designer can surpass the creativity of another. The central objective of fashion is to make people happy. That's what success depends on. They ask Yolanda the same question. She says she doesn't know if Helena will be able to surpass her or not but after what they just witnessed she wouldn't want to be in her shoes.

Leonardo has brought Helena back to her house. She tells him that all the designs were exquisite. She loved them, but it's a pity that none of them were Yolanda's. She doesn't know if they were Valentina's or not but this show had no relation to the others. Yolanda has an unmistakable stamp and that line didn't have it. Leonardo changes the subject and asks Helena what she will do if the principal dress doesn't show up. She says it has to, they've never lost even one button before. She's going to check with Majo and Val if the dress showed up. He tells her that she's going to beat Yolanda and that she looks lovely as always. He kisses her hand and lets her go. Helena asks Valentina what she's doing to her dress. Majo explains that it isn't her dress. Val says someone stole it to harm them. That couldn't happen, says Helena, nobody comes in here that we don't know. Are you sure this isn't the dress? It's exactly the same. She asks Val how she was able to make it without the patterns or measurements. She doesn't have the specs for sewing. And the lace work is very special. Nobody knows how to do these stitches. Who taught you how to do them? My mother, answers Val, I've known how to do it since I was ten. Helena asks her how she could make that dress in only a few hours. Because she saw it being made and loved it. She committed it to memory. Helena tells her congratulations, tonight was a total success. I'm not refering to the dress. Yolanda triumphed with your designs.


 

TU AMOR ep 40 part 3

Helena goes to change and asks Majo how that dress could have disappeared. Majo says they'll find out from the cameras tomorrow. She asks Helena what's wrong? What is she thinking? Something horrible, Helena replies, I'm a bad person. Don't tell me you think Valentina stole it?, Majo asks. Valentina or Nora, says Helena. Majo says she doesn't like Nora at all but she doesn't think she is capable of stealing a pin, much less a dress. And let's not even talk about Valentina. Helena says she's sorry, maybe she's jealous. Jealous of what? She tells Majo that Yolandas collection was spectacular, and if it's true that those designs were Valentina's, it's possible they're looking at one of the best designers of this century.

Valentina explains to Helena and Majo how Yolanda was able to cheat her. Beba took her to a VIP room where they stored expensive accessories for the designs. They have a camera there that records video but not audio. Beba asked her to keep the gold buttons and the brooch. She put them in her pocket and it looked like she was stealing them. They fired her as if she were a thief. Helena says Yolanda did the same thing to her. She'll tell them about it another day. Val agrees. They have to concentrate. They need to be finished by dawn. They finally finish and the dress is gorgeous. Majo says she'd pay a lot to see Yolanda's face when she found out that Helena and Valentina are working together. Val says they're not the only two that Yolanda has robbed. You know someone else?, Majo asks. Yes, Val says, you know her too. Consuelo, Hector's mom. Helena really wants to ask Consuelo about it but Val thinks she was indescreet. She really wasn't supposed to tell anyone. Connie told her it happened when she was young. She was Yolanda's first seamstress. Then I'm sure she knew your mother, Majo tells Helena. Val tells Helena it's OK for her to talk to Connie. Tell her the truth, that Val told her. She wants to talk to her first though. Helena tells her to go home and relax but first they'll choose the dresses the three of them will to wear for tonights fashion show.

Ricardo talks to Patricia after they return home. He says she risked a lot with Guillermo and Enrique. He asks if she realizes what would happen if he killed him. She says she wasn't expecting that reaction and anyway, she would have controlled it in their favor. Ricardo asks her if Guillermo told her that his investigation of their accounts came out clean. She says it couldn't have come out any other way. "You and I weren't going to steal from our father. Something like that could only occur to Guillermo." She asks him if he's made any progress on the whereabouts of Valentina and Nora. He tells her that his contacts told him that every day it's more probable that they'll be found. She tells him, Ricardo, you know that one of them is Guillermo's daughter right? If they appear, he's going to have to conquer (in love) the one of them that is the legitimate daughter. He asks her why she's telling him all this. Because Guillermo is contacting an international agency to look for them. He says he'll try to find them ASAP and excuses himself. Pat says to herself that she knows Ricardo better than anyone and she knows that he's lying. He's already found them but why isn't he telling her? What is he hiding?

 

TU AMOR ep 40 part 4

Patricia and Adelaida are enjoying breakfast outside. Pat says her madrina is going to be happy. Her show is all over the internet. She shows Ricardo the marvelous things they're saying about him online. Guillermo thinks the show was very youthful. He says Yolanda has become more ridiculous as she's gotten older. Yolanda hears this as Lucha brings her to the table. She just laughs and tells Guillermo not to forget that they're the same age. She tells him to get up and say hi. He can be the worst, but a lout, never. He's always been a gentleman in front of a woman, that's why she fell in love with him. Adelaida rolls her eyes at this. Ricardo congratulates Yolanda again and leaves. Yolanda asks Guillermo if he'll be going to Helena's show. No, he says, only Adelaida will go. Yolanda tells him to go with her. He says they'll talk later and excuses himself. Adelaida takes her cue to leave as well. She says she and Yolanda have nothing to talk about. Yolanda tells her to let go of the past. Adelaida asks how she is going to do that. It's the first thing she sees every day when she opens her eyes, in the middle of her loneliness. Loneliness caused by Yolanda. She says, "It was you that caused my misfortune. It was you that caused the misfortune between Estela and Guillermo. Just like you did to Consuelo. Everything you touch you destroy. Patricia, there's time to save yourself. For your own good, get away from this spawn of the devil." When Adelaida leaves, Patricia asks her madrina what Adelaida was talking about. Why did she accuse her like that? Yolanda says she knows what she's going to call her now, "Soledad", too much drama. See you tonight!

When she gets home Valentina tells Claudio that she wants to talk to him but she has to see Consuelo first. Connie is getting ready to go see Camila. She thinks they'll be releasing her today. Val tells Connie, that she told Helena, that Yolanda stole from her too. Connie says this is OK but the other thing she told her.... No, Val says, I would never tell anyone about that. Connie tells Val that she knew Helena's mother, Estela very well. Helena can talk to her any day she wants. Later, Claudio admits that he knew about Ricardo. Rosamaria told him. Val asks him when he was thinking about telling her? When Ricardo died? She had a right to know. Why didn't he tell her? He was going to. It's not like he was hiding it. And besides, they can't do anything anyway. She tells him not to say that. He says well it's the truth, why are you acting like this? You wouldn't understand. I'm going to take a bath. Later, Val answers the door because Claudio has left. Ricardo comes in and says he's been waiting for her answer. She's been thinking that their separation wasn't caused by events that happened to them, but was something that would have happened to them sooner or later. He thinks she's only saying that now because she thinks he's a barrier between her and Claudio's happiness or that he came back from the dead to make her life miserable. She says she doesn't think that. He doesn't know how much she'd give to help him be happy. Really?, he asks, from the heart?, or are you saying it to get rid of me? She says, "As long as you don't ask me to leave Claudio or to stay away from him." Ricardo answers, What I ask is.....He grabs her and kisses her as Claudio returns. What is this?, asks Claudio as Ricardo smirks behind Val's back.

Almeida talks to Ricardo about the account in Valentina's name. A friend told him it's on a list and is going to be reviewed. They'll be investigating the origin of the money.

Nope, I don't think Juleech will give up easily. I was really surprised that she kept her composure in front of the cameras and was expecting her to blurt out the truth, but I suppose that would have gotten her fired on the spot. Sergio thinks he is invincible. If he continues going to Juleech's apartment he is bound to get caught. In that scene where they laid back on the couch, the cameras moved away from them; I was expecting to see some type of recording device...that would probably be in Juleech's next scheme.

And no, I don't think Martin wil give up easily either. He may back off for a while, but he'll end up finding a way to get close to Alicia (no spoiler, just makes sense).

Diana, "I was shocked to see Fedora with Samuel last night after he'd previously threatened her. " Me too! She's a fool to allow him back in. I sure hope he is NOT living with her.

Susanlynn, "Fedora is playing with a dangerous boytoy. " Yep, she's gonna get burned if she doesn't get rid of him FAST!

Embajador S2 #16 part 1

Refika tells Nare that Kman kidnapped Muge. Nare gets up and goes outside to comfort Muge.

Flashback. There’s a terrible rainstorm. Kman drives up to an abandoned building [the one that Gediz goes to]. He opens the trunk of his car. Muge is in there, bound, gagged and unconscious. He takes her inside the building and places her on a wooden pallet. Muge wakes up.

Kman stands over Muge and terrorizes her, do you recognize me? I am Kahraman Boz! You murdered my wife! Keep calm, he tells her, I’m not going to touch you. No one will come because of the rain. No one can hear you. They will look for you, but it will be impossible to find you. No one knows this place, it will become your grave. The only thing left is to wait for your end. Pray that a family member can identify you. He leaves her to die. End flashback.

Muge has been reliving this ordeal out on the patio. She collects herself and tells Nare, Gediz found me on the fifth day. Luckily, it was raining for five days, and I did not die of thirst. She cries in Nare’s arms.

I'm very sorry, a stunned Nare says. She asks Muge, that place… is it ... the abandoned building… the place where Gediz goes? That's right, Muge says, sometimes I go, too. But Gediz goes every time he is despondent, and he says to himself: "calm down, Gediz, you'll get over it." Nare and Muge stand together, holding hands and looking out over the night sky.

Next, Nare visits Gediz in his room. Sancar gave you a big blow, she says. You know, he asks? Yes, your mother and Muge told me. This must have been very painful, she tells him. Gediz thinks back to when he found his sister.

Gediz says that Sancar was sending him a message when he bought the place. Nare thinks it’s to find another place where he can meditate. No, Gediz says, that's not what he meant; he declared war on me. Nare does an eye roll.

Gediz tells Nare, you're going to move to Switzerland when you get custody of Melek. What? Will you help me get it, she asks with surprise. This morning you told me you weren't going to help me. That was before Sancar bought my sanctuary, Gediz answers. Nare asks him, what are you going to do? I’ll help you get custody, he replies. How? Gediz won’t say because he thinks she will begin to feel sorry for Sancar. Nare is concerned. She says, if it is something dangerous for him—Gediz interrupts her, it’s Sancar or it’s Melek. And of course, Nare chooses her daughter. Gediz will get on it.

Kahraman kidnapped Muge, Nare says, twelve years after losing his wife. Do you know what that means? What does it mean, Gediz asks? Nare answers, he suffered a lot during all that time. He dedicated his entire life to a woman with no possibility of ever seeing her again. Nare asks Gediz, you won't do the same, will you? No, Gediz replies, because you won't die. She leaves.

Dudu shows up at Nare’s house, where Yahya is currently staying. [they edited this scene. Kman drives Dudu there. She’s hesitant about going there at night. Kman pressures her. He gives her a cake and tells her, eat sweet, talk sweet and bring me some sweet news and I’ll make you a director at the port. That does the trick and Dudu gets out] Dudu knocks on the door and Yahya answers.

She tells Yahya, I heard that cake cures depression. I'm not quite sure that it will cure, he replies, but what a great surprise you gave me. Yahya lets her in, and he looks all around to see if anyone is watching.

Elvan and Melek are in the kitchen preparing food for the picnic. They sit and talk. Elvan has a question for Melek. You didn’t tell your father what Menekse did. Why didn't you tell him? Melek replies, I saw Menekse touch her stomach and I thought something happened to the baby. That’s why.

Embajador S2 #16 part 2

Elvan thinks that’s so sweet and tells Melek, you are a very nice little girl. I would be proud to be your mom. Melek asks, how will you have a child, Elvan, if you don't let Yahya get close to you? She adds, if he doesn't kiss you, you won't have one. Elvan is impressed, look at you girl, who told you to have a baby first you have to kiss?

Melek confidently says, I know. because [she picks up her dolls to use as a visual aid] mom and dad they kissed, and they had me. Elvan laughs, but Melek warns her, be careful or Yahya will kiss another woman, and like my dad, he will have another child. That hits Elvan hard.

Yahya’s “other woman”, Dudu, serves the cake. Yayha says, you left very early, you didn't even say goodbye to me. Dudu apologizes saying he looked exhausted. Besides, she had to go to work and was late because of him. Then of course, she was fired.

Yahya says he’s very sorry and he can’t understand why she’s still here with him. Because I thought you would be sad, she says. Why? Gulsiye told me, Dudu replies, I found out that Sancar resigned and Zehra will take his place. She asks Yahya, why will she take over when you could take care of everything? Yahya answers, I think you are the only person who thinks that.

Dudu says, you should be the boss. Yahya tells her it's not that simple. He laments, we were a very close family, but Sancar had an argument with Gediz and decided to resign. Everything got complicated. Dudu opines, Sancar and you are fighting, he just wants to make you uncomfortable.

Looks like Yahya contemplates telling Dudu the truth about his falling out with Sancar, but fortunately he thinks twice and just says, it's over, let's forget family matters. It's a beautiful night, no? Yahya says he made some tea and they should have it with the cake. Dudu says she will go pour the cups.

Dudu makes a quick call to Kman from the kitchen. She reports that Yahya and Sancar fought and Sancar also resigned from the company. Zehra is going to replace him. Kman reviews, Sancar got into a fight with his brother and with Gediz, too. And now his sister. So Sancar is left all alone, Kman smiles. Dudu has to hang up.

Dudu brings the tea out. She gives it to Yahya. Their hands touch and they have a “moment”. Uh, oh. Things get uncomfortable. Yahya tells her, when I'm by your side, I can barely contain myself. I won't be able to do it anymore if you keep coming here. Dudu replies, okay, uh… I have to go. He nods. She gets up and he watches her as she walks to the gate. As Dudu opens the door, Yahya appears behind her and stops her from leaving. Big uh, oh.

Elvan is nervously biting her nails and waiting in the hall. She whispers to herself, Melek, you have to do it, do it.

Cut to Melek with her dad in Grandpa’s room. She’s playing with her dolls. She places her mom doll on the pillow and her doll next to it. Sancar laughs. And the dad doll…. is going over the edge of the bed, until Sancar rescues it at the last second. Stop, give me that, he says. What's up, Miss Melek, he asks? I see you learned something new. Melek says Elvan taught her. I learned to give hints since we are not talking, she replies. Elvan told me: "teach him and don't talk to him." Melek zips her lips and crosses her arms.

Sancar looks at his daughter and says, seriously? You’re doing this? He crosses his arms and announces, tomorrow we will not go on a picnic. Because of your attitude, we will have to stay here. He zips his lips.

Melek’s strategy has backfired. Oh, no. She uncrosses his arms and unzips his lips. Let’s go dad, she pleads, it will be you, me and mom together. It will be fun. Let’s go dad. I’ll talk to you. I swear I won't misbehave.

Embajador S2 #16 part 3

Sancar asks, will you forgive me? No, Melek says with her head down, I will forgive you when we are a family. I’ll just stop ignoring you. Sancar takes this as a sign of progress. He smiles and asks his daughter, would you give me a kiss? Melek says only one, and she gives it. Sancar tells her it's his turn and he grabs her and gives her a bunch of kisses. She pushes him away. Dad, enough, we still didn't make up! Okay. He gives her a peck on both cheeks, places the dad doll on the pillow next to hers and with an I love you, he leaves. Melek is all smiley as she gets under the covers.

Sancar comes down the stairs and sees Elvan. He goes over to her and says, my daughter took your advice. Elvan asks Sancar to come with her and they go outside.

Elvan clears her throat and gets herself ready. She begins, Sancar, listen, this is something very important. Sancar is already impatient and asks her to hurry up. She asks him if he remembers when they went to ask for Menekse's hand. Do you remember what I told you, she asks? You told Menekse that Nare was the one that abandoned you.

Flashback. First, we get a replay of Meanie asking about the legend and what would happen if “she” came back. When Sancar walks back to the house, he’s startled by Elvan waiting for him outside. What are you doing here, he asks? Elvan responds, we have to go immediately. She doesn't suit you. Sancar asks if she was listening. Elvan denies it. So, why do you say this, he asks? Remember our deal, he tells her.

Elvan is uneasy and warns Sancar, but that girl ... has a look full of evil… much, much evil. Much evil! Sancar laughs it off. Elvan continues, she is not… she is not a good woman. Sancar chooses to ignore this bit of advice and tells Elvan to go back in the house. She hesitates and goes in, he sighs and follows. End flashback.

Sancar remembers Elvan warned him not to marry. That's right, she says, and you ignored me. I told you that woman didn’t suit you. And what did you do? You married her and got her pregnant. Elvan continues, you ignored me when I warned you and you keep doing it. She makes a plea, if you have any pity left, you will hand custody over to Nare.

Sancar feels stuck. I already told you, he says, she will take Melek! What should I do? Let her take her away? Elvan tells him to accept it. Let her leave. If you don't let go, your daughter's wings will break into many pieces. Can’t you see?

Sancar says, I can't. It’s impossible. I will do what I can to make her fly. I would give my own life! I can't let her take my daughter from my side. Elvan says Melek will not be happy staying here and the problem is Menekse. What are you going to do, she asks? Sancar tells Elvan, he doesn't know yet.

Elvan says she knows what will happen. Understand, she tells Sancar, Menekse will mistreat your dear daughter. Elvan finally drops the bomb! Melek didn't tell you, but Menekse cut the wedding dress and what did she do? She blamed the girl! And then she did the same with Melek’s clothes. Sancar is floored. What? Elvan repeats, give custody to Nare and don't stop them. You deserve this punishment, not your daughter. She leaves him to think on it.

Nare returns to the mansion to find Sancar sitting outside with his head in his hand. I thought I was going to find you celebrating your victory, she says, and she sits next to him. You took Gediz’ secret place. Sancar tells her he doesn’t feel like celebrating. He’s not feeling very happy.

Nare recounts, you took away Gediz place, then you used my notes. I think it makes you happy to play dirty. Sancar gives a slight nod and tells her, it’s the way I am. Nare says, you will also be hurt. You will have to fight both of us now.

Embajador S2 #16 part 4

Nare is curious. Do you want to tell me? Sancar says he will tell her at the picnic tomorrow. There is something I have to solve first. He tells her to go inside and see Melek. She gets up and proposes, let's stop fighting for the picnic, okay? But, she cautions, that won't change anything. I will take my daughter and I'll get out of here right away.

Uh, oh, she spoke about leaving and we see a lovely little flashback to Sancar telling Nare, “say it again and I'll shut you up with a kiss.” He jumps up and dares her to say it again. He closes in on her, come on, Nare, say it. She takes off in a hurry.

Sancar calls his lawyer. Sorry for calling you so late, but-- I have a problem to solve. [Let’s hope that problem is Meanie!]

Nare sits at the foot of sleeping Melek’s bed and cries. Melek wakes and goes to her mom, you were crying. Nare admits she was. Melek asks if it is it because her dad won custody. Nare reminds Melek it's temporary, he has not won.

Melek asks if it’s because of her grandfather. Did you fight again? Did he upset you again? Nare tries to deny but then must admit it is the reason. Nare answers at least it was just because of you. Some dads make their daughter’s upset because of other people. [who could that be?]

Melek wonders if her mom is upset with her. What? No, why would you upset me, Nare asks? Because I wanted both of you, Melek replies, I didn’t tell Cagla I wanted to be only with you.

Nare wants to make it clear to her daughter she would never force her to make a choice between her father and mother. Melek asks why. Nare responds, because if we force our loved ones to make that decision, it would mean that we do not accept them, that we don't understand and that we are not capable of respecting them. Nare gives an example, if you had to choose whether to go with your dad or with me, and if you chose to go with him, it would mean that I didn't deserve to have you.

Melek objects, no, mom, you deserve a lot. Nare tells her daughter she would never think about giving up on her. Of course, I deserve you, she says, because I have never forced you to make a decision. Nare promises, I will do my best to be by your side. Nothing can separate us, ever. I will fight and I'm not giving up.

Melek tells her mom, but I want you both and dad is not going to give up. Nare knows that. Melek asks, what will happen? Nare doesn't know. She says, sometimes everyone is right, as in this case. Melek asks, can we be a family without being right?

Nare explains that sometimes it’s better to choose to be treated unfairly, instead of us being unfair to others. Melek asks why. Nare answers because when someone else hurts us, we can use the power that is hidden inside of us to become stronger. But if we hurt another person—Melek interjects, will we be weak? Nare says it would be more difficult to recover. We could even get worse.

Melek asks if we don't invite Menekse to the picnic, will we be bad? Nare assures her daughter, no, we will not be bad. You have every right. She reminds Melek, don't wait for someone else to tell you what you deserve and above all else, defend your rights. You don't want Menekse to go, do you? So, tomorrow the three of us will go alone to the picnic. Hugs and kisses.

Gediz leaves his room and Muge is waiting for him on the stairs. He wonders why she just didn’t knock on the door. Muge gets right to it, are you planning something because you’re angry with Sancar? Be honest. Gediz replies, the problem is not that I’m angry at Sancar. He asks his sister, do you still hate Kahraman?

Muge says she was never mad at him. He went crazy because he lost his wife; I killed her. He lost his sanity, and he was right. Gediz says, he was not right. You don't hate him? Isn’t he your enemy? Muge says she was his victim. I don't hate him, she tells Gediz, but…I'm very scared of him. Gediz says she won’t have to fear him anymore. Gediz goes. Muge asks him where he is going. No answer.

Sancar is at the shack. He’s digging by the tree and unearths the shell and the red ribbon. He quickly puts the ribbon in his pocket, and he smiles at the shell. He looks at the carving “Sancar’s Nare” on the tree and places his hand over it. He looks excited, it seems like he’s got big plans. What could it be? He drives off.

Melek is in the kitchen with Elvan, Gulsiye and Zehra. They are making the final prep for the picnic. Melek goes off to call her mother and runs into Kavruk. He drops the volley ball he was carrying and Zehra picks it up. They laugh.

Zehra says the ball was a great idea. It wasn’t his idea, but Melek’s. Zehra gets playful and hits the ball over Kavruk’s head and into the hall. Elvan chases them both out of the kitchen. Elvan and Gulsiye have knowing smiles.

Kavruk retrieves the ball and says he didn’t mean for them to play inside. Zehra coaxes Kavruk to play just a little bit. Come on, Kavruk. Halise and Ayse appear in the doorway and watch unnoticed. Kavruk resists but then gives in. They hit the ball back and forth and laugh. Ayse says to Halise, isn't this too much?

The game is interrupted by Melek calling for her mom. Nare comes downstairs [good grief, she’s wearing boots to the beach!] just as Sancar comes through the door. [do you notice they are similarly dressed?]

Melek calls for Elvan to bring the food. Sancar is anxious to go. He says he’s hungry. Elvan heads up the stairs and shouts, I'm coming.

Zehra and Kavruk go their separate ways and oops, Kavruk runs right into disapproving looks from Halise and Ayse.

A little comic relief: Elvan hands the basket to “Mr. Sancar”. He looks at the frilly basket asks, what is this? So, she introduces “Mr. Sancar” to the basket. Nice to meet you, basket, he says, but Elvan, couldn't you find one without polka dots? She says she did it on purpose. Everyone gets a kick out of his discomfort.

Sancar tells Nare and Melek, quick, let’s go. They are trying not to laugh at him. He playfully calls them out, look who's mocking… we will go hungry as a family, because I'll leave the basket. Everything stops. Melek lets out a happy little gasp, you said "family".

Meanie comes charging out of her room. Sancar? Where are you going? He answers, with my family. To a picnic. Does that seem wrong to you? I am your family, Meanie declares, we will have a child! Nare and Melek go outside.

Sancar gives Meanie the death stare and says, do you think I didn't find out what you did? You cut the dress and then you blamed my daughter. Right, Menekse?

Elvan shouts in jubilation with arms raised, uh, uh! At last! What a glorious day! What a glorious day! An angry Sancar takes off. He stops outside looks at all he’s carrying and his face changes from angry to a sly smile and he goes.

Meanie retreats to her room and Elvan starts to sing. She dances and Gulsiye joins in. “we have to celebrate, let's dance”. Meanie loses it in the room and starts throwing things around. Meanie yells, shut up! Shut up! Elvan continues to sing and dance with Gulsiye: “we have to celebrate, let's dance “let me kiss you ambassador’s daughter, I'm going to kiss you” She gives Gulsiye a kiss on the cheek. They laugh.

Halise puts a damper on the festivities. I see you have a lot of energy, Elvan. You will need it soon, since Kavruk's wedding is going to be held in two days. No one is happy except Ayse.

And we are out. Let’s go picnicking!

TU AMOR. Excellent recap, JoelD! Ilusion? What happened to Dignidad as Yolanda's theme for Fashion Week? Ricardo was right about the flashing lights. They also set off migraines. His dark glasses to protect himself look a little bit like Joe Biden's. When Nora tactlessly tells Ricardo that he will be dying soon, it's obvious from his facial expression that he already knew about Rosamaria's lie. And Consuelo is right to be suspicious of that news when Claudio tells her. Claudio needs to get a second opinion about Ricardo's health. Yep, Val saves the day. Leo wouldn't try to steal the second dress, would he? I can understand Helena's suspecting Nora. I hope the bank examiners catch Ricardo, but that's not apt to happen for a while.
 

TU AMOR. SpanProf, you bring up some pretty big points that I must have missed. Yeah, what's up with Ilusion as the theme? Also, the glasses explain how Ricardo was able to successfully walk on his second try. I thought all the actors looked great for fashion night. Even Patricia and Yolanda. Pat's make-up took off about ten years on her. Did you happen to see the shoes Majo had on when she was assisting Val? At least one other scene I should have mentioned is when Enrique got jealous when Patricia was on the phone. He said he was getting tired of her games and if she wants him to go through with their plans she's going to have to marry him. Claudio was working out on a punching bag with Hector in an earlier episode. I hope he uses his new skills to punch Ricardo in the face.

JoelD, a sensational rendering of a pivotal episode. Your details, descriptions and dialog translations are perfection.

Well, this may not have been NY Fashion Week but the (Valentina’s) dresses seemed quite lovely. I say seemed only as the lighting was too dark. A far cry from the beautiful creations on the runway, Roseamarie and Patricia’s gowns were undoubtedly purchased from Frederick’s of Hollywood.

“Yolanda tells her to let go of the past. Adelaida asks how she is going to do that. It's the first thing she sees every day when she opens her eyes, in the middle of her loneliness”. This conversation was mesmerizing. Yolanda is making Miranda Priestly look like a saint. Her Pandora’s box is just beginning to open as we see the results of the carnage. We still need the missing pieces of what caused so many lives to be destroyed. Adelaida need not waste her breath. Patricia is unsalvageable.

Ricardo and Patricia are still playing their little game as to where on earth Val and Nora could possibly be…

Claudio’s insecurity are causing problems. For himself. He has to swallow hard, tell the truth when he learns it and face the consequences. Otherwise, he will push Val right into Ricardo’s arms.

SpanProf, I gulped seeing the beautiful black gown placed on the staircase! I doubt even Leo would try to ruin the dress the second time but as he has no morals or scruples, anything is possible.

So is Val’s name the primary one on the fraudulently accessed bank account? I sense trouble either way.

Having witnessed the accident that took Kman's wife...I don't see how he figures a child murdered his wife. Muge's car stalled albiet in an awkward spot and Mrs. Kman ran into it.
Was there a police report or anything...do we know if Mrs. Kman was paying attention or going the proper speed. And again...Muge was a kid...it wasn't done on purpose. He's just an evil person if he can't work thru this one. |Before this...I thought he had a conscious as he was contemplating the initial kidnapping of Nare. Now I know he's just another horrid person with his own warped sense of justice.

Glad Melek is getting her picnic...she needs the time and attention from her parents...
not relatives or the hired help.

Still not feeling Nare using Gediz...he's making it known that he still think there's a chance for them. Perhaps he plans to fly off to Switzerland with her. But Sancar did strike a low blow on both of them...he aims to win this war.

TU AMOR. On the website announcing the start of this novela, it said that there would be 120 episodes. It seems to me that there are characters and plotlines enough to sustain 60-80. I'm wondering if it sometimes seems "filled out" and suspense is sustained for too long (Gee, exactly how are Val and Nora related, all the information is there) because this tn is set to run longer than it shoul.

I, too , wonder how Kman can believe that teen Muge" killed " his wife when his wife was the one who ran into Muge's car. However, more important!y, why in the world isnt Kman in jail for kidnapping Muge and leaving her to die ? QTH? He is crazy dangerous.

I hurt for Melek . I won't be able to watch if Meanie succeeds in helping Akin kidnap that sweet, little thing.

I am amazed the way Nare just walks right into Gediz,'s bedroom.

The wardrobe is sending messages with clothing . Nare wears a !ot of white and tan...very modern , sophisticated, tailored clothes, and usually pants or shorts or short skirts . She has a lot of beautiful, expensive clothes. She really likes boots . Maybe she is thinkimg of the old song " Tbese boots are made for walking.. " On tbe otber hand, Meanie wears ugly , old fashioned dresses most of time if she isn't in

Sancar's buying Gediz's sanctary and meeting place with Nare is so wrong, but still I found myself cheering for Sancar one-upping Gediz. Gediz is too smug with his love for Nare.

So Meanie knew the deal when she married Sancar. She is loco to keep up the plan to kidnap Melek. Sancar knows she despises the little girl. Meanie will be the first one he suspects. Fingerscrossed though that the story never gets to this.

If this were a comedy (though Necdet is doing his part), it would be funny to see Sancar 20 years from now with his short, hairy son who has a thing for ripping prayer beads!

Most important, he found out that Nare was not on vacation with her rich boyfriend, she was a patient at the rehab center. After Akin’s attack on Zehra, Sancar had no doubts left. He realized his awful mistake. He believes Nare and says he will never doubt her again. That phone call doesn’t matter anymore. Don’t know if that answers your question.

Nett: Like Muge said, Kman lost his sanity after his pregnant wife was killed in the accident. What’s really crazy is he waited 12 years to take his “revenge”. It looked like Mrs. K was distracted by something and could have avoided the accident. Maybe that’s why Kman felt like he had to blame someone else for what happened. I’m sure Gediz thinks he’ll follow Nare to Switzerland.

Susanlynn: you raise a good question about Kman not in jail for the kidnapping. About the clothes, I just think it’s weird that Nare even wears boots to the beach.

Right now I'm just trying to keep an emotional distance and use the TN as Spanish practice as almost all of the characters are driving me crazy! Even if Sancar divorces or sends his wife packing, nothing healthy will come of it. He's obsessive, narcissistic and overbearing and Nare is not really using her head. Neither is really doing what is best for Melek now or in the lon- term. As for the attitude re the women--maybe it's somewhat cultural? After saying all that, of course, I still stay up to watch it 😏
