Jarifa, thank you so much for your "Highlights not necessarily in order." My days are filled with gardening right now and I sometimes overdo while trying to catch up with all the weeds and mowing.

So Nina hit the nail right on the head with Lucas being SerJerk's illigitimate son; I never would have guessed. so is this a trend in TNs now..the illigitimate sons mom is an invalid? (remembering ScarioDario in "Imperio de Mentiras.)

Here is some brief notes on Episode 7--

Part 1:
DEJAN Ep 7 Part 1

Alicia overhears Martin speaking on the phone and asks what it is that makes her so special. Martin responds that she is unique different from all the women he has known...she floats rather than walks, but she hides something behind those eyes. If she allows it he would like to find out if what he is smelling is right. He invites her to coffee while they wait for the mechanic.

Eva tells the Jerk that he can count on her. (Blech)

Fabian talks to Juleach who thinks SerJerk sent him. Juleach asks him who he thinks SerJerk will end up with...it’s time that he decide. Fab advises her not to pressure SerJerk.

Lucas finds his mother on the floor. He tells her that they will find someone to take care of her...SerJerk will pay. He has to pay for what he did to her...he seduced her while she worked for them as a maid; and she isolated herself while pregnant as if she were a leper. SerJerk has been sending money, but it’s just leftover change…to keep her happy and quiet. When mom had the accident SerJerk did nothing.

Miranda dresses up as a boy so she can meet with El Culebra and his buddies.

Moises and Yuri argue because he is an insensitive louse who doesn’t take Yuri’s parent’s problems seriously. .

Martin notices that Alicia feels uncomfortable. She confides that she doesn’t feel uncomfortable anywhere lately. When he mentions that SerJerk is not allowing him to report what he would like, Alicia tells him that SerJerk has always like to have control and he is too old to change. Martin argues that it’s never too late to change what we don’t like in our lives.

Miranda arrives at the game room. Culebra teases that girls are not allowed, but Miranda ignores him and goes right on in. Culebra thinks he has seen her somewhere but can’t think of where. He still allows her to join them (as a boy) and Miranda smiles.

Julieta tells Chiquis to get close to Emiliano...he will be an important part (of her scheme).

SerJerk shares with Fabian his plan to smooth things over with Alicia. Fabian again warns SerJerk that he needs to protect his career.

Martin offers a listening ear to Alicia since he knows from experience the crises that can happen in a marriage. When he confides that he is divorced, Alicia wonders if there was a third party involved, but nopis, neither Martin nor Carlota were unfaithful. They got married too young and as a result of an unexpected pregnancy.

 

DEJAN Ep 7 Part 2


Sofia asks Carlota what happened between her and her father. Carlota explains that they married very young and found out that they didn’t have much in common. Sofia wonders if her mom wants to get back with her father. Carlota's look says yes, but her mouth tells Sofia that things don’t always work the way they want. Meanwhile, Martin continues to tell Alicia a similar version of what happened with his marriage and Alicia is impressed that he talks so well about his exwife.

The college director/professor/juarever warns Gonzo about his grades and his absences. If Gonzo doesn’t improve, he will be dropped.

The kids play video games and Miranda beat Culebra. They offer her a beer which she initially rejects but then joins in with the guys..

Martin is done talking about himself and wants to know about Alicia who doesn’t think being a housewife is too interesting. She has always wanted to be a theatrical writer. She likes to go to the theater but Sergio can’t join her so she doesn’t go anymore. She smiles as she tells him she has never talked to anyone about this. Before parting, Alicia thanks Martin for the talk. He tells her that she has his number if she needs to talk again.

Gonzo and Yuri try to figure out what is happening with their parents. Eva tells them not to worry about it.

The guys ask Enigma/ Miranda if he has a girlfriend. Miranda makes up a gf that he broke up with because she was odd and never wanted to go out.

Martin tells Fabian that Alicia is a very interesting woman.

Chiquis has lunch with Emiliano to try to get info from him since he is SerJerk’s chauffeur.

Eva continues giving bad advice, but Alicia doesn’t listen. FFW--

Fedora sees a young hunk jogging as she arrives at Alicia’s house. The hunk is Gonzo! Fedora wonders where Alicia’s kid got that body! (Cougar on the prowl!)

Eva is watching SerJerk’s program as Fedora and Alicia enter. Fedora wonders how Alicia can stand watching SerJerk and Julia together. At the news set, Diablo notes how Julieta keeps interrupting SerJerk (to get all the attention).

Alicia notices Miranda ‘s new look as does Yuri. They are mot impressed.

Lucas looks for a top of the line wheelchair. He can’t believe his mom continues to watch SerJerk’s program.

Yuri pressures Alicia to do what she can to fix things with her father.

Martin has a segment on the show and SerJerk is not happy with it.


SerJerk corners Juleach and flirts with her. He reminds her that she got him drunk the first time they were together. As they smooch, Martin enters!

Now at the not-so perfecta home, SerJerk brings mariachis to serenade Alicia. He reminds her of the night he proposed to her and now he is asking that they renew their vows…in the presence of all the familia! (What a JERK!!)
 

TU AMOR ep 36

At the hospital Anelis thanks Claudio and Valentina for everything they've done for Fatima and she will try to pay them back little by little. Claudio tells her that she doesn't owe them anything and wants to go somewhere quiet to talk. They have a proposal for her. Sister suggests that the orphanage would be a good spot for this. Claudio's proposal upsets Analis. It's that she give up Fatima to them. Analiz explains that she was forced to leave her baby but never wanted to. Sister asks her if she's sure she's able to take care of a baby because she's very young. Claudio asks if she's certain her mother will help because she didn't support her before. Valentina sees how upset this is making the girl. She doesn't want to distress Analis any further. She takes her hand and hugs her. She assures her that neither they, nor anyone else is going to take her baby from her.

In his hackers lair, Cybernético is unable to get into Ricardo's bank accounts because they're too secure. Almaida (Ricardo's lackey) asks if there is any way to transfer the money to a tax haven? No, the banks have updated their security and it's almost impossible to access the accounts. Ricardo will have to go to the bank in person if he wants the money. Worse, the accounts are so poorly hidden that a child could find them. It's going to be too easy for the auditors from the U.S. For half his payment, Cyber will encript the accounts and hide them on the deep web. They're already empty but this will keep the accountants from finding anything. Almeida agrees and hands over the money.

Guillermo is no longer unconcious. He says that everything went black. Adelaida thought that he had a heart attack but Guillermo tells her it was nothing. He needs to set up dinner with Claudio. He can call while the doctor is coming. Adelaida sends Mechita for the phone. He gives Claudio a call, asks him to come, and to bring his novia. His sister will be happy to see him again. When the doctor leaves, he stares at his potential heart transplant beeper. Go off, go off, he tells it. (Ironically he wouldn't even have it, if not for Enrique) Adelaida brings him a tea and asks him not to offer a job to Claudio. Lucha hides where she can hear them. Adelaida doesn't want anything to cause more problems between Guillermo and Helena. He reminds her that he doesn't mix business and family. Tomorrow he'll make Claudio an offer he can't refuse.
 

TU AMOR ep 36 part 2

Majo brings Helena something to eat. Hector hasn't called or texted and Helena can't get him out of her head. Majo says that this is exactly what Patricia wanted. Helena realizes that but can't avoid it. Meanwhile, Hector, sitting at a cafe table, starts typing a very nice text to her. "Helena, we have to see each other. I know this week is very difficult but I need you to let me explain. I only want you to know that I love you (quiero), that I can't get you out of my head. (He wonders if cabeza is spelled with a Z or an S) My love, I don't stop thinking of you." Patricia show's up before he can send it. She doesn't want him thinking about Helena while he's with her. She wants his complete attention while he's working for her. He leaves his phone on the table and goes to wash his hands. At this point Majo convinces Helena to call him. She dials his number and puts the phone on speaker. Patricia checks to make sure Hector isn't back yet and answers. Helena asks, "Are you Hector's secretary now?" No, something more than a secretary, says Pat, do you want to talk to him or should I give him your message? "Give the phone to my novio," Helena says. Why are you always so violent and rude?, says Pat, what ugly ways you have, you never change. I can't give him the phone because it's during work hours. She says goodbye and hangs up. It really burns Helena that he's letting her answer his phone now.

At Analis's room, Ricardo is upset because Rosamaria hasn't followed his plan. He needed to use the girl to break up Valentina and Claudio. Rosamaria tells him she just realized that he only uses women for what suits him. He wants to know why she didn't tell him what she was going to do? He was going to use that baby to stop the wedding. She says that the more she knows him the more convinced she is that he doesn't have any feelings. And he says he's convinced that she doesn't want to help with Valentina. RM says she told him that if he didn't tell her the truth that she would go. There is something he's hiding and she wants to know what it is. Ok, he will tell her. It involves a lot of money. We're talking about many millions. And what does that have to do with Valentina?, the doctora asks. All the money is in her name but she doesn't know it. Rosamaria asks him how he'll get the money without Val knowing. She says it's impossible. Why not just tell her the truth, go to the bank and get the money? If she finds out that she signed something without knowing she would never forgive Ricardo. Why do you care about that?, asks RM. Because she'll realize I stole the money and could turn me in. Rosamaria thinks that's unlikely because the account is in her name and she's the one who would end up in jail. There is a knock on the door and Analis and her mother come in. They're super grateful to Claudio and Val for everything they did for Fatima. In answer to Ricardo's question, Analis thinks they're still getting married because they said they want to be Fatima's godparents at her baptism. She also thanks Ricardo and Rosamaria for all their help.


 

TU AMOR ep 36 part 3

Patricia asks Hector why he feels bad. Helena broke up with him and wouldn't let him explain. Hector says that happens with couples. Pat says no, couples treat each other equally but Helena doesn't know what that means. She's used to being in charge and she decides when relationships will start and when they will end. She decides when you're lying and when you're telling the truth. Because she thinks her money, her fame, and her position gives her the right. Hector doesn't want to speak ill of her. Patricia says that Helena's brother called her "The Siren". Hector asks why. Because she enchants men and when they get close she turns into a monster and devours them. Well, that's what Alfonso said. Helena doesn't see the class of man you are Hector. Hector asks her what she means by that. She says she can assure him that Helena sees him as an easily manipulated mediocre. He doesn't think she would be capable of.... Pat says that's his Achilles heel. He's a good person and incapable of seeing the bad in others. Helena takes advantage of that. It makes her angry how Helena mocks him without him even realizing it. He doesn't think she mocks him, why would she do that? Pat asks him why do you think she told me to give the phone to her novio? To make it clear to you and me who your owner is. Well, he says, I'm not anybody's property. Pat says she knows that. Don't let Helena turn you into her puppet. And don't forget. She broke up with you.

Yolanda looks over the models to approve their makeup. Beba berates them and tells them to get to practice. Let's pose less and think more, she says. Yolanda likes this quality in Beba. It seems like she doesn't need Patricia. Obviously not, says Beba. Pat doesn't have a passion for this. It's fashion week and where is she? Yolanda tells her to keep taking care of everything right as Patricia shows up. Pat asks Beba if she did everything she told her to do. Beba says no, she doesn't remember even talking to Pat. Pat tells her not to forget that she wouldn't even be there if not for her and she can send her on her way. Beba realizes this is true as Patricia pats her madrina on the back.

Helena tells Leonardo to come by so she can give him a box of material to take to Mina. Leo thinks the material is too fine and too expensive for a little tramp (mugrosita). A WHAT? A tramp, a kid, a girl. Helena tells him to give her a big kiss and ... don't call her a mugrosita. He pretends that it's just a pet name he has for her. Majo comes in and tells Helena, nice distraction. Looking for material for the daughter of the man who is with Patricia. But you're right. If you want to get Hector back your best weapon is to have Mina and Consuelo on your side. Helena works very late and Claudio comes in to tell her something she's not going to like. He reminds her that he met her aunt when he was shopping for a bonsai. She must have told Guillermo and he invited Val and him to dinner tomorrow. Helena immediately concludes her father will be making him an offer. Claudio offers to cancel. No, Helena apologizes. There is no problem with him going to dinner with her father and aunt. He says this won't be the first time he's received an offer from somewhere else. He's loyal and she knows what his answer will be. She tells him to go and to tell her how it went.
 

TU AMOR ep 36 part 4

Almeida, Ricardo, and Rosamaria discuss things over coffee. Ricardo thinks there must be some way to access the money in the account. No, Almeida tells him. The amount of money is so large that the account is shielded. There is no way to get the money without Val's signature. Almeida thinks they have to get her to sign several things at once without her knowing that she's giving them access to the money. Are you serious?, Ricardo asks. That's all Almeida can come up with and he excuses himself. Ricardo says to Rosamaria, do you see why I have to marry Valentina? Yes, but I don't know why Val would have any reason to marry you. I can tell that Valentina loves Claudio with all her soul and you don't represent anything to her. Don't be angry, but compared to him you're a boy and he's a real man. He tells her he needs her help to get that money and that he'll share it with her. He asks, What do you say?

Leonardo brings the material to Consuelo's house and tells Mina about the photo session he's set up for her. They open a box that arrived and it's loaded with dolls. He tells Mina to get all her outfits ready. On the way out he meets Helena who apologizes for slapping him for the way he treated Nora. She also thanks him for letting her sister stay at his apartment. He says that Nora can't find out that she knows or she'll go where no one can find her. He tells her not to worry because he's laid down very strict rules for Nora. She feels better knowing that that Nora is with him. She thanks him again and kisses him on the cheek. When Hector gets home he gets all worked up because he thinks Mina is being overwhelmed. School should be her first priority. Why are you being like this?, Camila asks as she gets up to answer the door. Because I don't want Helena Vargas near me or near Mina, that's why. Unfortunately, Helena walks in right as he says it.

Valentina is sewing something on a machine that is so old it runs on a belt. Horacio comes in with a stack of letters about a foot high. He says that for many years your mother sent all these letters and I never answered them. I never even opened them. And now, looking them over, I realized that some of them were for you. Well, maybe they contain the explanation of the photo. Here is your life, and that of Norita explained. But those letters are yours uncle. No, here is the truth in your mother's handwriting. It's your story.
 

TU AMOR. Another excellent and very complete recap, JoelD! It's hard to decide who is the more stupid, Helena or Hector. Really? He leaves his phone on the table next to Patricia when he goes to wash his hands, even though by now he has abundant reasons not to trust her? And why does Helena take Patricia's word that Hector is allowing her to use his phone, even though Helena knows that Patricia is trying to ruin her? Also, why does Hector listen to Patricia badmouthing Helena and Helena listen to Leo badmouthing Hector? Idiots! The bad Hector should see in others is in Patricia. Thank goodness Rosamaria is an ethical doctor! Godparents is a good relationship for Val and Claudio to have with Fatima. My sister had a great relationship with her godparents. They were always giving her little gifts, visiting, etc. The rest of us were a bit envious. Will Claudio and Val go to dinner with Guillermo? And if so, what will happen? Oh the suspense! It seems to me that Ricardo needs a good actress who is also a talented forger.:) Let's hope they don't put off telling us the contents of Val's mother's letters too long!

Spanprof, great idea about getting a forger. Why not give it a try? Ricardo doesn't seem to have any scruples. I laughed about how stupid you said Hector and Helena are. I do think Val and Claudio will go to the dinner and that Guillermo will be surprised to see her. They met on the street in an earlier episode. I think he was having an attack and she helped him by walking him home. He tried to get his driver to find her but he was unable. I don't think Guillermo realizes that she might be his daughter though.

Excellent recap, JoelD. This episode really highlighted the difference between Claudio and Hector. Claudio is loyal and transparent, telling Helena about the dinner with her father and aunt. I can see why he's her right hand.

SpanProf, I can't remember one scene with Patricia and Hector where she hasn't badmouthed Helena. He knows Patricia hates her and yet listens to every word she says and keeps her company (that's what she hired him for it seems).

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you and it is time sensitive to boot! Anyway, I can put up something for tonight’s episode tomorrow.

Mayrín Villanueva has really mastered that “kicked dog” sad and fearful look.

I liked that Miranda cut her hair and has immersed herself in finding a place for herself in society. Personally, I liked the new “do” better than the old one. Her mother’s and sister’s reaction left a lot to be desired. They think they are being accepting of her, but they aren’t.

Yuri is too old to be begging her mother to fix things in the family for her and the family’s sake.

Martín’s background with his ex Carlota contained no “high drama” for a change. It sounded so normal.

What a surprise to see Paco Luna who played a mid twenty something in “Vencer el Desamor” playing a teenager here!

I had to laugh at Fedora and her plastered on smile after being scolded by Eva.

RgvChick, your “JERK” comment was a perfect summary that last scene. He actually thinks he still can have it all. I hope Alicia tells the truth to everyone and lets the chips fall. . .

 

Embajador S2 #12 part 1

Uni did a lousy job of editing and translating this episode. It was too much to fix it all.

Nare has set a very elegant table for the family meeting. Elvan comments, we just prepared keşkek and some yogurt for Refika and you put out three forks. Zehra teases, I'm just glad she hasn’t put out the champagne glasses or cutlery to eat lobster. Nare retorts, but I thought you were going to prepare something worthy of them. Zehra laughs.
Nare notices Kavruk smiling at Zehra. She asks him, what do you think of Zehra’s cooking? Ayse walks up and overhears. Kavruk replies, she cooks very good. Elvan says, I would have flattered her a little more, although I am not in love with her. Zehra shyly looks down, Kavruk looks fazed and Ayse is definitely unhappy.

Elvan continues to needle Kavruk, why did you shut up? Recite to her. [in the original, Elvan calls Kavruk, Mecnun, the legendary crazy obsessed lover who wrote poems to his beloved] Melek asks Kavruk, what is “recite”? [in the original Melek asked, who is Mecnun] Is it something a husband does? Zehra steps in here, no, not necessarily. She said it’s to recite a poem, and anyone can do it, like any of us can sing a song if you know the lyrics. [Zehra tries to explain about Mecnun here]

Melek asks, and poets do not love? Zehra answers sometimes, although people mistake the love of a poet like someone who has already gone crazy [like Mecnun]. Zehra looks at Kavruk and adds, but it's just that they love differently, right? Kavruk smiles at Zehra and gives us a sample of his style: He's very crazy. I know that he can be very sane, although with you, he can forget the whole world. What nice things you say, Zehra responds. Ayse is very displeased.

Refika and Muge arrive and are welcomed, and the guests comment on the elegant table. Nare says they will talk here, but there is still someone missing and until then we can eat. She sends Melek off with Kavruk to go wash up.

Necdet approaches Gulsiye who is out feeding the chickens and ducks. Good morning, he says with a big smile, how are you? Gulsiye looks at him with annoyance, nothing’s new, Necdet. I’m feeding them. She holds out the pan of feed. Do you want some, too? But that's chicken feed, he says. Yes, she answers, but I know that you can digest stones, so don't say you're not hungry. Necdet says he has to eat a lot because he’s so busy and he burns it off so fast.

Yahya pulls up to the gate and Gulsiye watches. The guards block Yahya’s way but Gulsiye intervenes. She tells the guards that Elvan invited him and Sancar doesn’t care if he enters. Necdet greets Yahya and Yahya returns the greeting with a dirty look.
Gulsiye accompanies Yahya to the patio and Necdet follows. Necdet asks Gulsiye what is going on. Family business, not his. Gulsiye distracts him by telling him there's still keşkek in the kitchen and off he goes. Gulsiye says, I hope you finish it and choke, you fat idiot.

Yahya shows up at the table and Halise is surprised. Didn't your brother kick you out, she asks? Why did you come back? Yes, my brother kicked me out and my wife called me, he answers. Do you give me permission? Elvan addresses him without looking, I didn't call you because I miss you, so don’t get excited. Nare wanted us all to be here so that we could talk.

Nare asks Melek if she’s done eating and she should let Kavruk take her inside. Are you going to talk about adult things, she asks her mom? Kavruk takes Melek. Nare tells Yahya to have a seat. Yahya is resisting. Now is not a good time to argue, she tells him. Yahya sighs and sits.

Nare starts, Mrs. Refika and Mrs. Halise, we already agreed on the custody matter, right? They nod. You are going to get rid of the woman who separated your children. Yahya spouts off, where do we bury you, Nare? Elvan is annoyed, no digas estupideces. Nare is unperturbed and explains to Yahya they will go as witnesses so I can get my daughter back and I'll leave. It's a deal, she affirms, you will all go to as witnesses for me?

Yes, the ladies reaffirm their support. Refika even goes so far as to tell Nare they would pool their money to buy her a house in Switzerland. Halise agrees that they must separate Nare from their sons. Nare says she doesn't want money or property. She just wants them to go to testify.

Yahya is wondering if Nare wants him to do the same. Do you want the man who you think kidnapped you to testify for you? He doesn’t understand. No, Nare replies, I'll tell you why you were invited. I have another problem and I would like you to listen to it before going to the trial.

Muge asks, what is the problem? Nare answers, I need you to testify that my mental health is good enough to take care of my daughter. Muge asks if this is what Sancar is using against her. Nare nods yes. Zehra can’t believe it. Elvan adds, his wife is the one who is really crazy. Even Halise takes Nare’s side on this saying, how can he talk about the mother of his daughter this way? Nare makes an admission, he’s doing it because he is right.

She explains she gave birth to Melek while in a psychiatric center. Halise stutters, uh… because? Why there? Nare says she was not stable. One day I wanted to jump off a cliff, she says, but I didn't know I was pregnant. Everyone is affected by this revelation. Yahya is especially shocked. He asks, didn't you run away from my brother ...on your wedding day? Halise asks, why did you want to kill yourself? Nare says he (Sancar) will not use that part in the trial, so you don't have to know this. Elvan says, we won't mention it if he doesn't. Zehra concurs, I give you my word.

Nare says she wants them to think about the trial, not the past. She asks them not to talk about it at the trial. Halise says she’s still confused. You told us you gave birth in a psychiatric center, she asks, and then what? Nare says her dad filled out a report so they committed me, and I couldn't run away when I gave birth. Halise gasps.

Nare tells her, your son found that report and is going to use it against me tomorrow so I can't get my daughter. The report it says that I am not mentally stable and that I could commit suicide. And that I am not a suitable person to take care of my daughter.

Nare asks if Muge would give her professional opinion to the court. Of course, she says, I will attest to your mental stability tomorrow. I am still a registered psychologist. Muge is hopeful that they will give custody to Nare.

Yahya says, even if they gave you custody and you leave, they will not reconcile. I know that my brother will not forgive Gediz. The lawyers are working to divide the shares of the company. They hate each other till the death. That’s how it's going to end. Nare nods and replies, I did not call you about the custody. I want you to represent me. Yahya doesn't understand.

Nare says, their separation is based on both signing a document. I can't stop them from doing it, but you can stop them. The group thinks about that and Nare explains, aren't you all Sadiclar shareholders? Zehra says, yes, but they (Sancar and Gediz) are the representatives. We are the shareholders as you said, but when it comes to making decisions, they are the ones who make them.

Gediz lets his lawyers into his house, while Sancar meets with his lawyers at the olive grove. This scene alternates between the two locations. We have already separated the companies, the lawyers tell their clients. Just as before, Sancar says the old marina goes to Gediz and Gediz says the olive grove goes to Sancar. The decision on Kman’s marina will be held off for a while. And when should we sign this agreement? Both agree it will be tomorrow.

A contrite Yahya speaks with Nare at the stable. I made a lot of mistakes with you, he tells her, I don’t deny it, I accept it. I got Necdet out of prison to save my mother. I also brought Melek to Menekse, but I swear, I didn't sell you. Why should I believe you, she asks? Yahya replies, because my brother believes me. What did you say? Yahya explains they are playing a game to reveal who's behind the kidnapping. We are working together, he says, to find out who was the person who helped Akin.

Nare says, suppose I believe you. If it wasn't you, have you found the culprit? No, not yet. Yahya stops short of naming the suspect. He says, I'm sure Sancar will tell you.
Yahya sincerely says, I just want you to be happy. Nare, I witnessed your wedding. Brief flashback to the wedding ceremony in the shack. Believe me, I didn't kidnap you. It hurts that I’m accused of something like that. I've committed many errors, but I could never sell my brother's wife. How could I sell the woman my brother would spend his entire life with? I'm not married to your brother, she replies, but thank you very much.

Yahya starts walking away. Nare calls to him, where are you staying? Wherever I can, he answers. Nare tells him where her house keys are hidden. She is allowing him to stay at her house. He nods to her and leaves. Elvan sees Yahya leave the stable.

Elvan tells Nare that Melek is looking for her. She notices the look on Nare’s face and asks if Yahya did something to upset her. Nare says, let's find Melek. I'll tell you what we talked about tonight. Elvan tells Nare she forgot to tell something to Yahya and runs off to catch him.

She catches up to Yahya and confronts him. What did you say to her to make her feel so bad? Yahya denies he did anything bad. Elvan chastises him, you are a person who sold his brother's wife, but you didn't say anything bad to her? I'm supposed to believe you? Are you done, Yahya asks?

She’s not. There’s something else she wants to say. Nare is my SIL but more like a sister to me, and if you do something again….I promise you-- What will you promise, Yahya asks, are you going to insult me again? Are you going to hit me? Are you going to kill me? Elvan declares, I will divorce you! Yahya looks devastated. He sadly says, I wish you would trust me as much as you trust your SIL. He leaves.

Kman arrives home to find Akin sitting out on the patio. Akin asks, did you give them money? Did they believe it was Guven's friends? Yes, of course they believed it. Don’t even think about that anymore. Kman has a proposal, would you want to become a partner of theirs? This gets Akin’ interest and he asks how. Kman mentions Yahya selling his shares. Give me money and I'll buy them, Kman says.

Yahya has been drinking. He’s stumbling back to his car when he encounters Dudu. What are you doing here? Dudu tells him she left work, from which she was fired because of him. The job I had to leave in 15 days, remember? She notices he is very drunk.

Embajador S2 #12 part 4

Yes, he confirms, I'm drunk, and you are right.... I'm drunk and I'm lying, he says, but Elvan lies more, and you do not. He’s really in no shape to drive, he can hardly walk. Dudu asks for his keys and tells him to get in the car. Why? Dudu says, don't be ridiculous, you're drunk, and you can't drive like this. Give me the keys. He relents and she helps him into the car.

Dudu asks, going to the mansion? Yahya replies, Gulsiye hasn't told you anything? They kicked me out of the mansion. I will go to Nare's house. Big shocker to Dudu

Nare and Elvan have had a talk. So you say Yahya is innocent, Elvan asks? Yes, Nare says, he didn't kidnap me. Does Sancar know about this, Elvan asks? Yes, he knows everything. They are working together to find the guilty one.

Elvan says this is all too complicated for her. If they know who it is just go and hit and that’s it. Nare reminds Elvan she threatened her innocent husband with divorce. Yeah, Elvan feels bad about that. Elvan asks Nare, what do I do? Should I go to your house? He’s there, right? Do you think I should apologize? Nare motions that maybe she should.

Dudu drives up to Nare’s. She holds on to Yahya as they search for the keys. They enter the yard and sit out on the patio. Yahya tells her, sometimes I see you and question ... why did you appear in my life now? Why didn’t you appear five years ago? It would have been good if you came into my life at that time. She looks a little uneasy and asks where the keys to the house are. Yahya points. Dudu finds the keys and tells Yayha not to move until she brings him coffee. Yahya smiles at her, it looks a little lecherous, I won't go anywhere, he says, come back. She goes in the house.

Kman wants to know what Akin thinks. Are you going to buy or not? Akin asks how much are the shares are worth? Kman doesn’t know, but he can calculate it tomorrow. Are you going to buy them? Akin tells him to calculate the value, and maybe he will buy them. They both laugh.

Ceylan brings them coffee and asks Kman, can we talk? He steps away with her—what, Ceylan? Ceylan wants to gossip. What did your ears in the mansion tell you? Did Menekse lose her baby? Oh, at least tell me a little, please? Kman is ticked. He doesn’t want to gossip with her. He doesn’t even want to see her here. He orders her to go inside and take care of his dad and make him some soup. Ceylan makes an appeal, ay Kahraman, I just want to know if he (Sancar) will have a child with another woman. What did they tell you? He tells her again to go into the house and she goes.

Elvan asks Nedim for a ride. He asks, where to? She informs him she going to see her husband. Now would you mind taking me, she asks, if you give me permission to go? Take me, now, quick, she demands. They go.

Yahya has had a lot of coffee but he’s not sober yet. Dudu asks, how can you stay drunk with so much coffee? Yahya smiles, it’s funny. Dudu asks, what's so funny? He replies, you lost your job because of me. And ... the truth is we did not have anything together, but ... I didn’t defend you. I made a mistake with you but now, he moves in closer to her... you're the one with me, aren't you? And my wife is against me.

Dudu looks uncomfortable again. She says, the truth is I was very stupid, what did I expect? Yahya brushes her hair back from her face and gives her a little kiss at the corner of her mouth. I was a jerk, he tells her, it should have been like this. He lays his head on her thigh and puts his and over hers. Elvan arrives at Nare’s, gets out of the car and takes out her keys. She stares at the front gate. Inside, Yahya has made himself comfy on Dudu.

Embajador S2 #12 part 5

Sancar arrives at the mansion with Guven and tells him wait out there.

Sancar goes up to grandpa’s room, where Nare and Melek are asleep. He watches them for a moment, and then goes to the safe. He takes out a big stack of bills and shoves them into an envelope. One last look at his sleeping girls and he quietly leaves. And it’s just in time because Nare wakes and finishes a glass of water that was at her bedside. She gets up and goes downstairs to get more water.

Sancar hands Guven the envelope. Guven looks inside and thanks him. Sancar asks Guven, you understand what you should say in court, right? Don’t worry, Guven replies, I know. Excellent.

Sancar enters his room and has an unpleasant surprise. It’s Meanie in a skimpy nightie. She’s holding one of his shirts. [wonder how long she’s been standing there like that?] What are you doing in the room, he asks?

We get a flashback to the midwife’s house. Meanie is bawling her eyes out and Akin is trying to calm her down. He tells her, don't worry, we'll find a solution, okay? Meanie cries, what solution is that? My baby died! Sancar is going divorce me and throw me out on the street and everything will belong to that tonta Nare!

Akin tells Meanie to be quiet. Just sleep with him again and the problem is over. Meanie looks at him like he’s crazy. She says, even if I could sleep with him again, I couldn't get pregnant. I just had miscarriage, she cries.

Akin tells her she just has to seduce him and that's it. Make him interested, he says, or do I have to teach you that too? Meanie says it won’t change anything. The damn dates will be off and everyone will realize. Akin says, take care to get pregnant first and then tell him the truth. In case you haven't noticed, he won't kick you out of the mansion if you have his child, don’t you understand? End flashback.

Meanie tells Sancar, they didn't take all his clothes from the room. She notices his hand and takes it, what happened? He tries to pull it away but she holds on. He breaks free and moves away from her. It’s nothing, Menekse. She grabs onto him again. Nothing, she asks, really? She puts her hand around his neck. She’s all over him. He is not enjoying this at all. [good grief, man, throw the biotch out!] He says, Menekse, enough, please. She does not let up, can't you see I miss my husband. Don’t I have the right to kiss and hug him?

Finally, he moves her away. He tells her, I am your husband, yes. But you are only the mother of my child. And you should see me as the father of your child. That’s it, now go away. Meanie loses it an shouts, but if Nare entered through that door, would you do the same to her?! Sancar replies, she would never do that, and you must leave.

Nare comes back upstairs with a glass of water. She stops to pick up something that fell to the floor. And as she does, she sees Meanie come out of Sancar’s room. The two wives face each other. Meanie plays it up for Nare’s benefit. She fixes her hair, touches her lips. Poor Nare is shaken. Meanie approaches and Nare retreats. Meanie catches up to her and says, that's right, I just saw Sancar.

And we are out.

An excellent recap RgvChick.

My favorite scene was Fedora zooming in on Gonzo in his running attire. She is quickly becoming one of my quirky favorites.

Miranda was great and as beautiful a young girl as she is, looked totally believable as a boy. I wish her mother and sister would have given her a compliment for her hair, it is always criticism.

“Martin responds that she is unique different from all the women he has known...she floats rather than walks, but she hides something behind those eyes” was so vivid and expressive.
“Moises and Yuri argue because he is an insensitive louse who doesn’t take Yuri’s parent’s problems seriously”. I see nothing attractive about him at all.

SerJerk keeps getting worse…the serenade. Really? And Yuri still encouraging Alicia. Your “Mayrín Villanueva has really mastered that “kicked dog” sad and fearful look” nailed it Jarifa.

Hector’s heart might be in the right place but his head is buried elsewhere.

Now, the doctora knows the truth, the whole sordid truth. She’s digested it and is now not only weighing in on the repercussions but if she will be Ricardo’s accomplice! Why hasn’t the doctora turned on her heel and run like the wind? She sees Ricardo in all his shadiness, why on earth is she still there? She can’t save him or reform him. She can’t possibly still want him (right?) I ask as I have before, what does she want??

Leo is despicable. How is it no one but Hector has caught onto him? If only Hector could see Helena as clearly.

If I were Helena I would pay Patty a visit and wipe that smirk right off her face. Hurt feelings aren’t going to help her, she needs to fight. And that includes giving Hector a little nectar with her vinegar.

“Also, why does Hector listen to Patricia badmouthing Helena and Helena listen to Leo badmouthing Hector? Idiots!” Thanks SpanProf, for asking what I was thinking and answering it in one fell swoop 😊

Any words from Kavruk should stay intact as far as I'm concerned. When Melek asked what “recite” means, it made me wonder “Is anybody remembering to take that girl to school?”

Poor Elvan. In a way, though it will hurt I hope she catches Dudu there. Elvan and Yahya need to lay their cards on the table.

Poor Nare. I don’t want her to believe Meanie’s lie.

Watching that smug act of Meanie touching her lips like they had just been passionately kissed and flipping her hair in ecstasy as Nare watched was disgusting . And you know Nare is going to buy it. Frustrating .

SI NOS DEJAN #8 Part 1

Alicia takes the ring from Sergio but manages to finesse her way out of accepting the vow renewal. Only Gonzalo notices that things are amiss as the mariachis play on.

Chiquis reports to Julieta that Emiliano took Sergio to go buy a ring. Chiquis wonders if it could be for Alicia. Julieta thinks not.

It turns out that Sergio chose a white gold ring with a pearl to represent his 30th wedding anniversary to Alicia. Eva brings out champagne for a toast. Alicia stoically goes through the motions.

Martín’s colleague fills him in on Sergio and Julieta. Being discreet is the name of the game. Martín feels sorry for what Alicia’s marriage has done to her.

Alicia informs Sergio that all he did tonight in no way erases what he did with that other woman and reminds him he is still sleeping in the study. Sergio wants her to know he is sorry.

Julieta has a video chat with another friend who asks her the same pesky question about the ring really being for her and not for Sergio’s wife. Julieta refuses to think about that possibility.

Martín sits with his puppy Enzo thinking about Alicia and her desire to wrtie for the theater. He declines a call from Karina.

Yuri tries to talk Alicia into forgiving her father AGAIN.

In his study, Sergio looks at his wedding photo. Julieta calls him and they have a flirty conversation which he enjoys.

Martín has to take his daughter Sofía to school in Carlota’s car. Before he leaves to pick her up, he finds a notebook and informs Enzo that today is going to be their lucky day.

As Alicia drives Miranda to school where she is harassed by the same girls over her hair.

Sergio tells Fabián about giving Alicia the ring, how she needs time to make up her mind and how he is sure in the end she will give in. He knows her. Fabián isn't too sure and wonders what will happen when Julieta hears about this. Sergio doesn’t think that Julieta has to know about this at all. He is is taking charge of the situation. Fabián asks if Sergio is planning on keeping both women around because Alicia doesn't deserve that. Sergio is offended by his friend being critical of him.

Chiquis finds out about the mariachi performance at Sergio’s from Emiliano as well as the tremendous ring Sergio gave his wife and it all having something to do with them having a vow renewal; like a second wedding.

Martín clarifies for Sofía that Karina and he like each other but they do not have a formal relationship. No, Karina isn't the love of his life.

Martín meets Alicia outside of Miranda’s school with two cups of coffee. He explains he borrowed his ex’s car to drop off his daughter and decided to wait for Alicia.

 

DEJAN Part 2

Martín gives Alicia the notebook. A writer always needs a blank notebook. He had bought it for himself when he was in New York a while back and was looking for inspiration to write some short stories. He thinks she might get more use out of it than he would. Alicia thinks him giving her the notebook is lovely. She is all smiles but has to leave.

One of the mean girls changes sides and helps Miranda hide from her tormentors.

Yuri goes to the market looking for someone called EL Trompeta. She finds him and introduces herself as Cholo’s lawyer. She needs to ask him some questions.

Sergio announces their excellent ratings to everyone on his team. He thanks his producer and friend El Diablo. Martín finds out that his interview did very well. Sergio still wants to talk to him. Chiquis needs to talk to Julieta.

Alicia shows the pearl ring to Fedora and tells her about the mariachis as well as the wonderful reaction of her daughters to it all. To be honest, Alicia doesn't know if she is going to accept Sergio’s proposal or not. Fedora thinks that Alicia is hiding something from her by the look in her eye.

Chiquis tells Julieta what she found out from Emiliano. Julieta goes bonkers.

Sergio critiques Martín’s news segment from the day before. Martín is informed that he needs Sergio's approval for anything he is going to do because it is HIS show. Before Martín leaves, Sergio mentions what he saw last night. Martín tells him not to worry because he has a bad memory.

Yuri talks to El Trompeta about Cholo and what he said went down. He says it was just a misunderstanding among the market vendors. They arrested them both but then let him go. He thinks Cholo ended up being in custody because he must have been into something really bad. She asks if he thinks that Cholo is capable of killing somebody. El Trompeta thinks you cannot tell what a person is like by how they look. Someone is watching them talk.

Gonzalo is baking bread.

Julieta is looking for Sergio but he has left.She assures El Diablo that the current ratings are nothing. They are going to be phenomenal.

Sergio goes home and Lucas is waiting for him outside with all of the info for the wheelchair his mother needs as soon as possible unless he wants their story to go public.

Yuri leaves El Trompeta at his stall and leaves the market as someone observes her. She senses she is being watched.

Eva is still trying to talk Alicia into staying with Sergio. Alicia says she is thinking of trying to give Sergio another chance but she is terrorized by making the wrong decision.

 

DEJAN Part 3

Julieta tells Chiquis that Sergio will never humiliate her again after what she has planned. Julieta has invited Lalito a gossip columnist over. She is going to give him an exclusive but he has to promise that he will never admit that the info came from her. He agrees.

Sergio and his family are sitting around the supper table catching up on the day’s activities. Yuri wants to know when they will find out Alicia’s decision. Eva tells her to be patient. Tomorrow Alicia will let them know.

Sergio is all alone in his study with some whiskey and his cellphone. He texts Julieta that he misses her.She texts back that she cannot stop thinking about him. She wishes it were tomorrow so she could see him.

The next morning, Emiliano hands Sergio his newspaper as he gets into the car. He sees himself and Julieta on the front page with the title: “Sergo Carranza and Juiieta Lugo From Work to Bed/Unexpected Lovers”.

When Alicia comes down to the kitchen, Gonzalo tries to get her to go out to the garden with him but with no luck. Alicia sees Sergio’s scandal play out on the TV news.

A very entertaining episode. I cannot believe that Alicia almost seemed ready to succumb to the familial forces and give old Sergio another chance. Uggh! Let us hope the public airing of his affair is enough for her to throw him to the curb.

My favorites included “Alicia stoically goes through the motions” and “She is all smiles but has to leave”. Just great..

“Alicia doesn't know if she is going to accept Sergio’s proposal or not”. Like you, I was flummoxed by this. I have faith in her and think this is a momentary weakening due to pressure. Eva is unconscionable. I’m trying to be fair in that Alicia’s daughters don’t know the truth. But don’t they have any faith in their mother? The daddy dearest routine is wearing thin. I suspect they will change now that everything is out in the open.

“Martín tells him not to worry because he has a bad memory” made me sad he had to placate Sergio.

Did Sergio really think Julieta was going to keep quiet? Julieta is hedging her bets. Does she really think Sergio will leave Alicia?

“Gonzalo is baking bread”. And looks very good doing it Fedora and I must say 😊

Looks like someone other than El Trompeta might have killed Martin’s brother.

Val tells Horacio that maybe her mother wrote things in her letters that she only wanted him to know. Perhaps, he says, but now they're yours, and you're the only one that is going to know the truth. He says it's up to her what to do with the contents of the letters. She says if he wants she can tell him what they say. No, he says, it's entirely your right not to. If it helps, you're not alone mi hija. She remembers telling her mother, that her father said her tio never writes her back. Her mother tells her it doesn't matter. She writes to let him know how his family is doing. Young Val tells her not to cry and hugs her. Present day Val misses her so much that she cries too.

Outside Consuela's house, Helena tells Hector he doesn't have to worry about her getting involved in his life. She's still going to help Mina because she gave her and Connie her word and turns to go. Hector asks her to wait and desperately graps her arm. He wants to explain but says she never let's him speak. He asks if she thinks she's the only one that has a right to own the truth. She says she didn't come to fight with him. He agrees, because a fight is between to people and you're the only one in the ring. You did the same thing at your house. You broke up with me and didn't let me talk. She says, you're very different Hector, you don't know what you are saying, and I don't like you talking to me like that. She turns to go again but he's not finished. He tells her, You're the only one here with a voice and a vote. She says, How quickly Patricia has turned you against me. The queen of intrigue and lies has spread her poison. But I never imagined that you would listen. He shakes his head and tears up a little as he replies. It's always the same with you Helena. You twist things around in such a way that everything is always my fault. Is it because of who I am? Poor?, Ignorant? He tells her not to lower herself. (darse baño de pueblo) At this, she leaves and he shouts a desperate "Te amo Helena" which is both ironic and futile. Connie and Camila hear everything. Consuelo thinks they should help them reconcile but Camila doesn't think they should get involved.

Adelaida fills in Patricia and Ricardo about Guillermo's collapse. They say she should have called them right away. Adelaida says she was too afraid and didn't know what to do. She thought he was dead. Patricia calls in Mechita and Lucha to reprimand them. She calls them useless and asks them if they're fools or what. From this moment forward if anything happens to the señor or the señora, they better call her or send a text or she'll fire them both. Ricardo has heard about the trouble Patricia has stirred up and after Adelaida goes to bed he asks her what she's up to. She's taking revenge and getting back what was taken from them. He asks her if she needs any help. No, for now, everything is going well. She asks him if he's been looking for Val and Nora. He tells her it's as if the earth has swallowed them. She says to stop looking and get closer to Rosamaria. Valentina and Nora were employees and not for him. He says she's just like their father. Yes, she is, and fortunately those two are not going to show up again. That's what you think, he says after she leaves. One of them is Gullermo's daughter, I win either way.

Valentina is in her room reading one of the letters. "I wish you could see your niece Horacio. When she opens her eyes it lights up my whole life, her tender smile when I sing to her fills me with love and hope. She's so pretty, I know that she's a gift from God. I pray that she is strong, that she's not afraid of anything, that she'll lack for nothing, that she'll always be true to her values, and that she'll fight for her happiness and her dreams. I love her so much."
 

TU AMOR ep 37 part 2

Majo finds Helena crying on her couch. She holds her and tells her to cry all she wants. Helena asks why can't she be happy? Is she really so bad that she doesn't deserve it? Whenever she thinks she can be happy Yoland or Patricia appears. All this changes the next morning. Majo says that Helena looks radiant. Helena says gracias, the tears and sadness are over. She won't be suffering for Hector or any other man. No more believing in love for her. Majo is happy for her and, today only, will serve her some mexican comfort food for breakfast - Chilaquiles! Helena lights right up. Chilaquiles?, oh my God, delicious!

Ricardo comes down to breakfast and asks Guillermo how he's feeling. He's doing OK. He hands Ricardo the response from the Chicago firm doing the audit. Ricardo says it states that there is no trace of hidden, parallel accounts. Guillermo says he's been asking himself who could have embezzled millions without anyone realizing it. Ricardo says his father owed money everywhere. Guillermo asks if he's accusing his own father. Well, neither he nor Patricia had gambling debts. Gullermo thinks he may be onto something. Ricardo's father, Armando is the one that told Guillermo that money was being embezzled, and he was buried in gambling debts. Ricardo asks, if Pat and he had millions in an account somewhere, does Guillermo really think they'd be here right now?

Nora and Leonardo are in an embrace in his office. They're getting carried away and he tells her no, not here. He sits her down and asks her to finish telling him about her sister. Nora says Val was in love with Ricardo. Leonardo asks what about Claudio. Does she love him or is it an infatuation? Nora thinks so, because of the way Val looks at him. She asks why he's so interested in her sister. No reason. Just that she's very pretty and has a great body. She looks like a model. Nora asks him if he's saying that she doesn't? No, he says, it's just that you're a little more filled out than her. Are you saying that I'm fat? I'm thinner than Valentina. Leo says he didn't say she was fat. He said she was a little more llenita (plump) but it's almost not noticeable. It's just a tiny bit. She stares daggers at him, and you can almost see smoke coming from her nostrils, but she doesn't say anything.

Enrique is clearing out his things from the office. Patricia says he shouldn't go like this. He asks what he is supposed to do, wait for the guy who was always like a father to him to put a bullet in his head? I spent my entire life looking out for his interests and now he thinks I'm a vulgar thief. Pat tells him that if he doesn't want to stay and clear his name she'll do it for him. He asks her not to. If Gullermo were to do something to her, he swears he might kill him. She says if something happened to her, it would be worth it to save a man like him. He's meant so much in her life. She goes to talk to Guillermo. She says someone might be trying to incriminate Enrique. He says the only ones high enough in the business to do it are Enrique, him, or .... you Patricia. She makes him take it back and he apologizes. He shouldn't have said it. He says that after this blow he doesn't trust anybody. She says that's not fair. She's never given him any reason to doubt her. Guillermo has called a meeting of the legal and finance departments to choose a replacement for Enrique.
 

TU AMOR ep 37 part 3

There is a knock on Claudio's office door and Rosamaria comes in. She's told Ricardo that she'll help him, but not for the money. What she's interested in is Claudio. She takes a seat and says she's not sure if she should say this. It's possible that Ricardo doesn't have much more time to live. Nora listens from nearby. Claudio says the doctor said Ricardo was out of danger, how could he be about to die now? Traumatic brain injuries are unpredictable. Some day he could drop dead or simply not wake up. Claudio asks why she's telling him all this. Rosamaria tearfully replies, because Ricardo doesn't know and I need your help to make sure his final days are happy ones. She says she loves Ricardo with all her soul and can do absolutely nothing to save him, boo hoo. Claudio won't do anything behind Valentina's back. He says what she is asking is terrible. It's really aberrant. No, she tells him, it's love.

Helena invites Valentina to her apartment. She's aware that she and Claudio will be having dinner with her father. She doesn't want to offend Helena but she knows how her father can be. She beats around the bush awhile and says if it bothers her Val should tell her and she'll apologize. Just say it, says Val. Helena wants to give her a gift so that her father will see her as a queen. For him, social norms and protocols are fundamental. Even more so for a formal dinner. Val says not to worry. She knows how to comport herself at the table. She knows how to use the utensils. Helena is glad to hear that. She wants Val to look even more beautiful than she already is. She wants to give her a dress from the collection they're about to launch. She hopes Val likes it. By Val's reaction when she opens the box, you can tell the dress is very special.


 

TU AMOR ep 37 part 4

Patricia calls someone on her phone and tells them to get ready. The bomb goes off today. She hangs up and starts to talk to herself. She says if it's the last thing she ever does she's going to hit Guillermo where it hurts him the most. Whether it's Valentina or Nora, she swears, they'll never get one peso of his fortune. She grabs Enrique and tells him to come with her. The board of directors is meeting. She enters and quickly takes over. She says they've suffered industrial sabotage at the highest level. Someone is trying to implicate the boss of these two departments. They're trying to cause a rift between señor Vargas and Enrique. Anibal (the guy she paid to write the power of attorney letter) says she has no right to go through the computers without any proof. Yes she does, because they're company property. Check Anibal's computer first, she tells security. Sure enough, they find the letter. Anibal says he did it because Enrique is too old for his position. They need a younger man willing to take risks. Guillermo tells him to lárgate and has security accompany him to the door. He tries to apologize to Enrique who doesn't want to hear it. After all, he had a gun pointed at him. Pat says if Enrique were in Gullermo's shoes he would have done the same thing. No, Enrique says, he would have put a bullet in his own head before he would have doubted Guillermo. Enrique leaves and Guillermo grabs his own left arm and slumps in a chair. He doesn't look well. Pat finds Enrique and tells him it's time they taught a lesson to Guillermo for all the hurt he's caused them. Then they can go somewhere far away and be together for always. She gives him a long kiss. Enrique doesn't want to take revenge. She tells him he had a gun pointed at him. He can't just go like a beaten dog. She wants Enrique to steal some of Guillermo's money. They can transfer some of the foundation money to a tax haven and use it to be together. Maybe his bastard daughter won't even ever appear. He says she should know him better than that, but he looks like he's having a hard time resisting her. Later, she gets Guillermo and Enrique together to shake hands which they do reluctantly.

Rosamaria meets Ricardo at a restaurant. He asks her if Claudio went for it. She says he still hasn't accepted, but she guaranties he'll do it. He asks her why she's laughing. She never imagined she could cry so easily. Love let's you do anything. Ricardo thought she loved him. So did she. Without his memory she could imagine him as the ideal man. Now that she knows him. Not so much.

Valentina and Claudio have arrived at Guillermo's for dinner. Val looks like a million dollars in the dress that Helena gave her. A maid tells them that the señores will be in shortly. Claudio says he'll never get tired of telling her she looks spectacular. Adelaida comes in first and they hand her a small gift. Guillermo comes next. He and Val recognize each other right away. He says his chauffeur was looking evrywhere for her. She brought him his car the day he was ill. He never got her name. She says her name is Valentina as Patricia and Ricardo arrive. Patricia looks shocked and Val looks uncomfortable.

 

TU AMOR. Another superb recap, JoelD! Helena and Hector just get more and more annoying. Resolve it already! I was really disgusted with dra. Rosa--lying about something medical just to try to get the very good Val to go back with the supposedly dying Ricardo in order to make time herself with Claudio. It actually seems a bit of character. Is the writing in this novela not really first rate? If I were Claudio, I would insist that Ricardo be evaluated by a very good neurologist from CDMX. Now we know exactly what Patricia enlisted Anibal for--more than just writing a power of attorney letter. I suspect week may be all Fashion Week all the time. :)

"Alicia stoically goes through the motions." How can this family watch Alicia be tormented with the pressure of "forgiving" SerJerk? Gonzo did notice how awkward it was for her but still did nothing. And how can the kids not have an inkling about what is going on? They were present at the awards ceremony when Julieta was all over SerJerk and I'm sure there have been other occasions when they have witnessed the interactions between the Leech and the Jerk. And I just want to slap Eva every time she opens her mouth. So what happened to her not wanting to touch SerJerk? I wish I could think of an appropriate derogatory term for her, but right now my mind is blank.

“Alicia doesn't know if she is going to accept Sergio’s proposal or not”. I think we are all at the "flummoxed" table, but with so much pressure coming from all sides, it shouldn't surprise us; though she would ONLY be doing it to keep the fmaily together.

I'm glad Julieta dropped the bomb. It'll put an end to any doubts Alicia has about keeping SerJerk away and it sure will bring on many headaches for the Jerk. What puzzles me is how such a seemingly bright and beautiful woman such as Julieta would be so obsessed with having a family with the Jerk. It. Just. Does. Not. Compute!

Diana, "Looks like someone other than El Trompeta might have killed Martin’s brother." True, but El Trompeta sure looked nervous and must be hiding something. He was the one that had that scuffle with Cholo; so maybe he was the one who planted the medallion on Cholo. Maybe he was paid or coerced into getting into that fight??? Yuri is taking a huge risk going into that neighbor by herself; and of all people Cholo should know it. I like the guy, but he is not thinking.

I readily admit I was lost and trying to figure out what transpired. So the not so good doctora is agreeing to help Ricardo so she has a chance at Claudio? So, a well educated beautiful doctor who could likely have anyone she desires follows a callous, selfish patient like a love sick puppy. And NOW she decides she wants Claudio, putting her ethics and morals completely aside. I’m wondering if that beatific smile she wears constantly is masking a bit of cray cray? I’m grumbling along with you SpanProf but this curve ball is an interesting (if unbelievable) turn of events 😊

“Leo says he didn't say she was fat. He said she was a little more llenita (plump) but it's almost not noticeable”. Leo once again shows he knows and cares little about women. He might as well have called her obese.

Everything is falling into place perfectly for Pat. At least for now.

I didn't want Rosamaria to go to the dark side either. Something must be wrong with her. She should be back at the hospital helping other patients. I can forgive her for falling in love with a patient she was trying to help but now she's going off the rails. She was one of the characters that seemed to have integrity. Three others are Enrique, Claudio, and Valentina. I think Enrique might be the next to fall. Claudio's character never should, but I'm worried that the writers will will cause him do something he'll regret and he'll need forgiveness. I don't think Valentina will give up her integrity even once. I'm putting all my faith in her. Writers, please don't tarnish her, please. Ricardo's been lying to his sister this whole time. He found Valentina a while ago and never told Patricia. He was lying about it again in the first part of this episode. What's going to happen at Guillermo's dinner party?
 

Embajador S2 #13 part 1

Meanie tells Nare, that's right, I just saw Sancar. If you're going to stay in this house, dear Nare, you'll have to get used to it. Meanie lets out a big ohhh and puts her hand on her not-pregnant belly. Wow, I felt something, she lies, I didn’t think that babies kicked in just a few months. Surely, he reacted to the scent of his father. Meanie walks away and Nare looks devastated.

Flashback to the rehab and a very pregnant Nare is asleep. The baby’s movements wake her, and her hand moves over the empty side of the bed. She cradles her baby bump. End flashback.

Nare thinks for a moment, then heads off to Sancar’s room. [do you notice when she’s upset or determined, her walk is just like Efe’s?]

Sancar is sitting on his bed flexing his bruised hand and stewing over Meanie and everything else. Nare comes bursting through the door and smashes her water glass down on the floor. She screams at him, how can you be upest because I left with Gediz, when Menekse leaves your room at night!? Answer me!

Sancar is stunned. He slowly rises and walks over to her. [I’m gonna give you the Turkish here] He begins, so you decided not to burn yourself, but burn everyone else. Come on, shout. Bring the whole mansion down on me. Attack me with the words, “how can you do this to me!” Tell me I do not belong to Menekse, but to you! Say that I am your love! Come on, Nare… come on. Do it! Do it!

She starts to walk out and shouts, may Allah punish you, then adds, may Allah punish me, too! He stops her from leaving. He tells her he already made this mistake once; may Allah take my life if I do it again!

That stops her in her tracks. Don’t say that, she tells him. Sancar says, she only brought me clothes and I asked her to leave, that was it. Nare begins to feel foolish. I shouldn’t have scolded you, she says.

Sancar tells her to do it, she has that right. We got married, we have a child. Even if you never touch my hand again, you can chastise me for everything. And speaking of his hand, she asks what happened to it. He replies, it’s not important, just look at me. She knows better than to look him in the eyes and she asks again what happened. He puts his hand behind his back and quickly answers, I hit Yahya, look at me.

Nare asks why he would hit Yahya. He’s innocent. Sancar is surprised, how do you know? Yahya confessed it and I was glad he didn’t betray you, she responds. Sancar is frustrated with Yahya but wants to get back to the matter at hand. Let’s talk about that later, he says, forget betrayal, forget custody…. raise your head and look at me.

Nare gets upset, takes a few steps away from him and turns her back. I can't. I can't do it, don't you understand? Your wife was here, I shouldn't be here. No, this can't be, I'm so ashamed! I can’t wait to get out of here! She turns to run out of the room, but Sancar is blocking her way. Their eyes meet and he’s got her where he wants her.

Tell me, he says softly. Come on, tell me you're going to leave, huh? Tell me. He moves in closer. Tell me. Come on… He’s got his forehead against hers, their noses are touching, their eyes closed. Tell me and take my longing away, he whispers. After a few more seconds, Nare tells him, I will not say it. She moves back.

Sancar takes this as a good sign. He smiles and asks, why won't you say it? She has to catch her breath and compose herself, then she says, you’ll understand when I go. She leaves. She composes herself again outside the room and walks down the hall.

Embajador S2 #13 part 2

As she passes the door, Elvan returns. Elvan closes the door and leans against it. She looks sad. Did you apologize to Yahya, Nare asks? Elvan did not. She couldn’t even make it through the door. She reasons, let’s say he didn't kidnap you and that he did not betray his brother. But he put me aside and became Menekse’s puppet. I was right to threaten him with divorce, she tells Nare.

Next morning, we see that Dudu and Yahya spent the night on the patio couch snuggled together. She is awakened by her cell phone. She extricates herself from Yahya’s arms, checks her phone. That message must be important. She gathers her things and reaches out to touch Yahya but thinks twice and heads off. Outside, she looks around then heads toward a parked car.

Kman steps out of the car. Hello, eyes and ears, he says. Dudu is the snitch. Dudu warns him not to text her when she’s with Yahya. He understands. He takes a good look at her and asks, did you soften? I hope you didn't make up with him on the first night.
Flashback to when Dudu was fired by Gediz and Yayha did not speak up for her. End flashback.

Soften me up, she says, I will not forget what that idiot did to me! He stayed quiet while Gediz fired me. Exactly, Kman says, don't forget. He asks if there’s anything new. Is Yahya really angry with his brother? Or are they playing with me? Dudu does not mention Sancar kicked Yahya out of the mansion, instead she says Yahya was drunk and he fell asleep. Kman tells her call the mansion. He’s desperate for news. She dials.

The doorbell rings at the mansion and Gulsiye answers. It’s the police. Sancar hurries over and says it’s fine. He directs the officers.

Gulsiye takes Dudu’s call. I just wanted to wish you good morning, Dudu tells her sister. Gulsiye says she’s sorry, but she has to hang up, policemen came to the mansion. Dudu asks why. Gulsiye doesn’t know but will call her later. Dudu passes the news to Kman and that Gulsiye will call back later.

Nare is doing Melek’s hair. She reminds her daughter that they are going to court today, and she will get custody from her grandfather. You will have to talk to a psychologist, okay? It’s ok.

Sancar comes in to say the police are here to make a sketch. Melek asks about this sketch and Sancar tells her to come with him and he will explain. Gulsiye had been listening outside the door and she ducks away as Sancar and Melek exit.

Sancar carefully explains about what Akin did and that there was a woman who helped him. The police are going to draw a picture of the woman with your mother’s help. Will they put her in prison, Melek asks? Ojala. Sancar takes Melek downstairs and Gulsiye jumps out from her hiding place.

Gulsiye calls Dudu, who is riding in the car with Kman. The police will make a sketch of the woman who kidnapped Nare, she tells her sister. Kman is rightfully concerned.
Nare finishes with the police. I guess it kinda looks like Ceylan.

Cut to Ceylan feeding Kman’s dad. The TV is on and Ceylan is laughing at the show. It prompts her to start talking about herself to Kdad. She says, parents give you a name, but it was my pimp who gave me my name. He told me that it was no longer going to be Cemile. I guess he saw something special in me, hence the name. [Ceylan means gazelle]

Ceylan keeps jabbering away and tells Kdad that her story is more interesting than the one on TV. I also scammed men like that and made them pay for everything, she says. They come to the bar, get drunk, and tell their whole story. But you can't tell them your problems because they are not interested in that. They only go there to see who they can sleep with.

Akin has entered the front door unnoticed. He stands in the doorway and watches and listens to Ceylan yakking away.

Men just want to have fun and they don't care about your life. But my beloved Kahraman is different. He does care about me. At least that's what he told me. Because he learned it all from you.

Does Ceylan ever stop to take a breath? She babbles on. He holds us both as prisoners, Ceylan tells Kdad, but at least you do deserve it. You were a maldito miserable, she reminds him. You took care of all the women in the damn club, and just look at yourself now. [Kman’s dad was a real creep]

Ceylan tells Kdad, you taught him everything, but I hope that you taught him how to be a good father. Kahraman goes crazy when he hears the word baby in a sentence. How do I tell him I'm pregnant? Akin’s eyes pop out of his head. There’s the solution to the Meanie problem. Ceylan continues, he will force me to abort. I’ll have to hide it until it’s too late. For now, it's going to be our little secret. [and Akin’s too]

The ultrasound machine has been fixed. Halise tells Meanie that Sancar called the doctor, and they will check tomorrow. Meanie is panicking. Akin calls her. Did you tell him, he asks? Of course not, but he will find out, she says, they repaired the ultrasound machine, and the doctor is coming tomorrow.

Akin asks if there will be a new pregnancy? What? I just told you that the doctor is coming tomorrow. There’s no time for a new pregnancy. He does not want to be with me. It’s over! Akin says it’s not over yet. You are very lucky because you can count on me, he says, I'm going to solve it, don't worry.

Meanie scoffs, and what will you do? Are you going to put a baby in my belly? Akin tells her to calm down. He might have someone who can help. Or he might put that baby there himself, you don’t know Akin Baydar, he tells her. We see Ceylan in the distance. You just have to give me Melek, he tells Meanie. Ceylan walks over to bring Akin coffee. He thanks her with a big smile.

Time for the custody hearing. The family of three arrive. Nare reminds Melek she will speak you with a psychologist, she won’t enter the court. Melek understands. But, she asks, they are going to give custody to you two, right? Sancar says we don't know, but it doesn't matter because you'll stay here.

Melek says, so we can make up, we have to be together. We are going to be just the three of us, right? Sancar looks at Nare and says, all three, of course. Nare says nothing. As they walk to the steps, the families pull up. Sancar is surprised as everyone gets out of their cars. Kavruk asks Melek, come wait with him. She tells Kavruk that today the judge will take custody from her grandfather and give it to her parents.

Sancar wants to know why everyone is here. Elvan says, we are witnesses. What for? Zehra says, so that custody is given only to my SIL. Sancar turns to Halise, you too, mother? Are you going to stab me in the back? Halise says she doesn’t care because she’s doing it for his good. Sancar looks around and says, all of you? I don’t believe it. What a pity because nothing is going to change, he says, your plan won’t work.

Muge mentions the mental instability report and she tells Sancar it won’t work. He asks her if she’s going to testify. Muge nods. Is this how you intend to take my daughter from me, he asks Nare? Do you want to put my whole family against me? Nare tells him you never think twice about the low blows, but at least I play clean.

Gediz shows up to the party. Just what Sancar needed. Are you also going to be a witness, Sancar asks his ex-partner? Nare quickly responds, he is not a witness. Gediz asks his sister what is going on.

Muge invited Gediz. Why? Nare answers because you can't separate even if you want it. We want you to hear this together. Gediz says to Nare, it can't be, now you give orders, Nare? Sancar warns Gediz, don't talk to her like that again.
Yahya steps in. Both of you listen. You want to separate. You have 45 percent of the shares, and we have 55. Gediz asks, who the hell are you? Muge says, the Efeoglu and Isikli families.

Sancar says this is stupid, we are the representatives. Zehra says not anymore, and she hands Sancar the Power of Attorney. Refika chimes in saying, you cannot be separated, not without our permission. Halise adds, and we don't give you permission.

Gediz turns to Nare and says, so this was the game you bragged about in my house. You entangled the families to protect the alliance. Nare says, what's wrong, you didn't you think I knew how to play? Sancar tells everyone this is nonsense. Take your stupid shares. I don't care about this idiocy.

He looks at Nare and says, my daughter is enough for me. I don't know about gambling, he tells her. I only know about horses and weapons. Do you want to know how serious I am, or does it scare you? Enter court and find out. I will use all the weapons that I have. Sancar goes up the stairs, takes his daughter’s hand and goes inside.

Elvan asks Nare, what is he planning? Muge thinks he will show the report, tell the court that Nare is not mentally stable. I will serve as a witness, the court will appoint an expert and it will be discovered that what he said is a lie. Don’t worry, she assures Nare.
Nare thinks since Sancar has already shown the report, it must be something else, something more powerful. Zehra asks, what else do you think he’s hiding up his sleeve? Nare admits she’s scared.

Sancar asks Melek if she wants to see the psychologist now. Melek asks, what do I have to say to make you two take care of me? Nare walks over and tells her daughter this is very complicated. Sancar assures Melek they will always protect her.

Melek tells her parents she wants them by her side all the time. Come, we must give each other a big hug and she pushes her parents together and puts her arms around them both. The psychologist shows up and watches the interaction. Melek tells her parents, this is the only thing I wish for. Understand?

Nare tells Melek, I don't think this will happen, but you have to talk to the psychologist first. Melek refuses to go. She changed her mind. Why, Sancar asks? Because you won’t do what I want, she answers, so I won’t do what you want. Nare tells her she must because the court asked us to.

The psychologist steps in and says, it's not mandatory, and she introduces herself to Melek. I am Cagla, I'm going to be your psychologist. Melek asks, isn't it mandatory to attend? Cagla says no. Melek asks, what if the judge gets angry?

Cagla assures her nothing will happen. She tells Melek to come and they stand against a wall. Cagla explains you will stand like this in front of the judge, you will stay still, and you will keep total silence. Melek notices everyone staring and Cagla suggests they go to her office. Melek goes with her.

Cagla asks Melek where she wants to sit. Next to the toys, is it okay? Yes. Cagla tells her to play with the ones she prefers. Melek gravitates to a doll house that has 3 dolls in front. Two females and one male.

Nare asks Sancar, what are you planning? You told me to come to court to see what you had planned for me. Sancar whispers in her ear, are you afraid? Nare warns him, you will not hurt my daughter, nothing can scare me anymore.

Sancar raises his voice, I would never hurt my daughter. Halise approaches and says that's a lie. You already did. You left your partners, you left your stocks, and you dare to leave your wife. You sacrificed your daughter's future just for your pride.

Sancar asks his mother, and what are you looking for? What do you wish for? Will you save the saddle and not the donkey? Halise tells him she came here to save him. Sancar says she’s lying. I thought you were scared that the mill won't work without me. Now I understand.

He turns to Nare and says, the moment has come for the chick to abandon the home. Poor Sancar, turn your mill without any rest like a donkey. Will it work that way?

He looks at Gediz and tells his mother, [using the Turkish here] we will get along with this man and count our money, right? The main thing is that the wealth does not suffer. And we will accept the sin of the one who looked at what he shouldn’t have.

Gediz takes exception and rushes Sancar and they start to argue. Kavruk has to separate them. We are in court. It’s not the time to fight, Nare tells them.

Sancar asks Nare to come with him. He walks away and she follows.

And we are out.

The scene where Melek pulls her parents into her group hug really got to me. Divorce is hard on children. They can't understand why their parents can't stay together and keep the family intact.

When the psychologist took Mekek into the room full of toys, it suddenly struck me that we have never seen Mekek with toys. You would think that she would have at least one doll or stuffed toys . I wondered why i hadnt noticed that before because i have bought lots of dolls and toys for our granddaughters .

I guess Nare believed San when he told her tbat nothing happened with Meanie.

So generous of Akin to offer to put a baby in meanie. Yuck.

Why does that assistant finds it necessary to run to juls and tell her every thing, is she afraid of her? I'm just full of questions.
"Serjerkerkass Wants alicia to no he is sorry". He is such a lyar. He has no intentions of giving either one of those woman up. He thinks he can have ot all. Pompous ass. Now finally the family will know and the girls will know daddy is not the father he wants everyone to think he is.

Lester, the Sergio/Lucas storyline is intriguing to many of us. We would especially like more details on the mother’s accident.

In regards to the use of “propio,” this is a term used in response to someone asking permission to leave, telling someone that they need to leave or to simply get around someone. For example, is someone says, “Excuse me, I need to leave...” the response would be “Propio.” The equivalent in English would be “Go ahead” or “you’re excused.”

Nina, when Martin told SerJerk that he had a bad memory, he was meaning that he would “forget” what he saw (SerJerk and Juleech in a lip lock)...so SerJerk won’t have to worry about Martin telling anyone what he saw. Martin is too chivalrous to be spreading gossip...and he probably doesn’t want Alicia to be more hurt than she already is.

JoelD, I enjoyed and agreed with all of your comments but "Ricardo's been lying to his sister this whole time. He found Valentina a while ago and never told Patricia" particularly struck me.

It's rather ironic that the one person Patricia cares about lied to her by the sin of omission. At least there is someone she cares about, I'm having my doubts about Ricardo. It will be interesting to see how the dinner plays out. Valentina looked uncomfortable but her spine was stiff and I think she will be ready to fight fire with fire.

Yes, Rosamaria is ill. And, I think, dangerous. A bit too benevolent to be true.

Susanlynn, Alicia has all of my sympathies being expected to support and clean up after everybody (figuratively) so as to make everyone else happy. I am not a fan of martyrdom. Time for her to move on.

Looks like the plot to swap Ceylen's baby for Menie is going to move 4ward...rats....she gets to keep her claws into Sancar. But glad Sancar cleared up with Nare that nothing is going on between him and his wife. But this just means he gets to continue his quest to keep her from moving on with anyone....especially with Gediz...which I understand.

Didn't see it coming that Gul would be the spy...albeit unknowingly. Thought it would be one of the new arrivals to the mansion like Necdet. Gul is naively conversating with her sister, not knowing Dudu is giving all this info to Kman. Can't blame Dudu given the way she was treated by Gediz and Yaya over the none affair. They both were flirting with each other but she paid the price. I'd be made too.

Jarifa, I don't know if Sergio is capable of being embarrassed but it will be interesting to see his reaction. Will he realize he has broken his family and their hearts as well? Will he take responsibility? Hmmm, I doubt it.

Scandals are commonplace so the press will be focusing on the dirty deets. The judgement will be from Ser's "friends" and associates. I'd love them to freeze him out. Julieta has ruined her reputation and it's sadly the way of the world that there is far more criticism of women then men. I wonder if she has thought about if and how this will affect her career.

Susanlynn, we haven’t seen Melek with a lot of toys at this point. Maybe it’s because she isn’t in any one place long enough and there’s so much going on. She spends a lot of time with adults, in the kitchen, at the stable, etc.

I think someone questioned about Melek going to school. This show was filmed during the pandemic, and I think that’s why we didn’t see Melek in a school setting. They briefly address this at some point, but I don’t know if Uni will edit it out.

Imagine what the spawn of Menekse and Akin would be like….

Nett, I feel sorry for Gulsiye. I don’t consider her as the snitch. She thinks it’s innocent gossip with her sister. Dudu keeps sinking lower and lower.

Nina, even though his marriage to Nare is not legal, Sancar says he is married in the eyes of Allah. That means more to him than the legal marriage. For a believer like him, there is no higher authority.

Gediz didn’t know who Nare was when they met but didn’t distance himself from her once he did. Sancar is holding on to the one piece of his childhood that was perfect. And Nare professes to love each of them, in her own way of course. No wonder these guys are so messed up. She really needs to leave, but….

I didn't really notice that we never saw Melek with a stuffed toy or doll until she was in that room full of toys. Most kids hAve a favorite toy that they carry around with them . It made me feel even sadder for this poor, sweet little girl who has been tbrough so much.

I suppose San's big courtroom surprise is creepy Guven who will probably throw Nare under the bus to give San custody. San is the best bet to keep Melek and Nare safe from awful Akin. No way she and Melek should be going to Switzerland alone. She knows tbat Akin is still alive. She will be putting herself and Melek in danger again. Nare is stubborn and overconfident in her abi!ity to lrotect berself and Melek. San and Nare have to do whatever is best for Me!ek. That should be their first priority.

I cant wait to sed what happens tonight.
