Loli - Episode #93 Recap will be posted later this morning.

Loli – Episode #93 Some scenes are combined.

Part 1 The Serious Stuff

A heartbroken Rafa signs the release to allow the doctors to disconnect the life-support system keeping Leo alive. In a very moving moment, Rafa says goodbye and asks Leo to forgive him for not understanding him, not being there for him and for trying to control his life. (This is a several tissue alert). Rafa asks the question of all those left behind: Why? Why did this happen? We could have worked things out! Go now, our parent will be waiting for you with open arms. The doctor asks if they are ready.

Paulina and Jess hug each other and then Rafa as he cries uncontrollably.

Art calls the doctor only to find out that she was waiting for his call to make an appointment regarding his low sperm count. Art is surprised and then realizes, as he views the medical results online, that Mati has hidden (lied) about the first test results being contaminated. Art agrees to make meet with the doctor about ways to help him improve his sperm count. Mati comes into the room and Art doesn’t say anything about the results or appointment, just heads off to work.

Loli is dropping Nicky off at school. Nicky knows he cannot go to the hospital to visit Sam, but asks Loli to leave Mr. Coodlers (I think that is the name of the stuffed fox) with Sam, so she will know he is thinking about him and not alone. (More tissue anyone?).

Loli gets into the car and sends a text to Rafa asking how Leo is doing. Without looking ahead (in a school zone) she accelerates and hits the “doctor” who hypnotized her many episodes ago. Although holding his neck, he is not injured and they end up talking about Loli’s problems and successes in becoming a mom. He is impressed and offers to help her in anyway possible, wishing all the best for Sam.

At Hunky Bar, the Hunky Boys are trying to figure out where Divina/Roberto might be and who/where Zancudo might be. Octavio, nervously petting the stuffed kitten, (I have seen him do this all series in times of stress) says they will find Divina!

A very sad Jess calls Gabriel (who is at the hospital with Sam) to tell him her Tio has passed away. Gabriel lets Jess know that Sam is muy grave because the donor heart from Arizona never made it due to bad weather. A devastated Jess runs into Rafa’s arms, telling him that she lost her Tio and is going to lose her best friend too!

Loli – Episode #93

Part 2 The Ridiculous Stuff

Art is working at Global Radio and on the phone with Rox telling her about his low sperm count problem and how he is going to see the doctor to find a treatment to help. He doesn’t want Mati to know that he knows. Rox is not comfortable with this and being in the middle but agrees not to say anything to Mati who is sitting at her kitchen table on the computer. Art goes back to work and of course who was listening behind a cubicle? Lupe and the supposed HR lady. They feel sorry for Art and head to the Pharmacia for a quick cure to his problem, no doctors needed!

Sure enough, Lupe and the HR lady show back up to give Art a mason jar full of green stuff, telling him they overheard, by accident, his “problem.” Gay or not, Art plays macho man and claims that it wasn’t his sperm count but that of a friend of a primo that he was talking about. The savvy gossip girls are not fooled and Lupe gives him the recipe to make green tea. The remedy is sure to increase count, desire and lift! Sure enough, again, a few hours later, Art is dancing away cleaning the kitchen and waiting for Mati to whisk him away for some afternoon delight. We see an exhausted, but satisfied Mati a bit later commenting on Art’s virility. Art is in running clothes and heading out for a jog to allow Mati to recuperate, promising round two when he returns.

Octavio brings Nicky back to the Circus house and find Mel fast asleep on the couch with a glob of cream on her face. Nicky comments that she missed all the requirements for volunteering for the schools’ events and the Mom’s Chat are right about her not participating. A loving Octavio hugs Nicky as he says good bye and Nicky calls him Papi. Mel tries to make excuses for her absence, grabbing Octavio by the arm and commenting on his muscles. She ridiculously flirts with him until Octavio is forced to make a quick exit. Very strange behavior for a woman pregnant with triplets.

Speaking of strange and ridiculous, Bruno is at the hospital annoying Don Rogelio about marrying Norita and how happy Bruno is about this upcoming event! Don R clearly states that right now the priority must be on Sam, not a wedding. Stupid Bruno finally stops badgering until Don R gets a call and walks away, leaving his briefcase unattended. Bruno, making all sorts of cover up efforts, including a stomach, gas attack, finds the Will that Chente demanded he find or face the consequences. In way too many filler scenes, Bruno finally reads the Will and discovers it belongs to Norita. She is leaving the piano to Nicky, her jewelry to Carol and the house in Mexico to the triplets.

Carol is at the hospital trying to comfort Gabriel, she hugs him and then kisses him telling him that she really likes him! He is not at all happy and completely puts her in her place, boldly telling her that she will never, ever be as good as Sam. Carol (pretends?) to have a moment of self-reflection and asks Gabriel to forgive her.

Cesar visits Rox and lets her know that he has been offered a great job as a chef in Cancun. Rox pretends to be happy for him, Cesar pretends that he is not hurt with her for letting him go. (This really isn't ridiculous but I couldn't really fit it in the serious stuff).

Loli – Episode #93

Part 3: More Serious Stuff

Rafa is back in his apartment in LA on the phone asking if all has been properly coordinated? Are we in time? (We of course know that he is taking about Leo’s heart being donated to Sam). He then sees the letter that Leo left on the TV stand a day or two before the accident. He reads the letter as we see Leo writing the letter. The letter talks about Leo’s forgiveness of Rafa and hopes that they will be able to reconcile their issues. Rafa collapse in sadness and exhaustion onto the pillows of the couch.

A clearly distraught Angie is at Paulina’s listening to her talk about her favorite subject: herself! Paulina shuts up long enough to disdainfully tell Angie that Leo’s death sure did affect her. Angie says that although brief, her relationship with Leo was touching and he was kind person. Not skipping a beat, Pau launches back into what she told Chente when he came the hospital and how she is still planning on destroying him. Angie channels her inner Gabriel and lets Paulina know how selfish she is only talking about herself, not caring that Leo is dead and Rafa (and others) are hurting. Angie leaves and Paulina wonders what bee got in Angie’s bonnet?

Later we hear Paulina telling off the reporter she gave all the dirt to about Chente who ended up doing a puff piece on him for some fancy magazine. Chente calls her to let her know he is always one step ahead of her! (These two need to destroy each other and leave everyone else in peace!).

Loli is sitting alone at the hospital (because BBBB is too busy reading his mother’s will) waiting for news. Don R comes to her and clearly lets her know that she is not alone, she has a full team of people who care about her, including himself. He says nice things about Domingo and even Bruno. Loli leans on him and cries. Just then the Doctora comes in with the good news: We have another donor heart for Sam!

Sam is taken into surgery while everyone waits. Rafa shows up at the hospital (he never answered Loli’s text asking about Leo). Loli sees him and asks: What happened with Leo? Why are you here? Rafa shakes his head, indicating that Leo didn’t make it. Loli hugs him. Rafa tells her that he did sign the organ transplant authorization. Loli realizes that the heart being transplanted into Sam, belongs to Leo. She hugs, kisses and comforts Rafa, sad and grateful all at the same time. My tissue box is officially empty.

Cafe chapter 10
I am really enjoying this novela. I like the realness and naturalness of the acting; especially the scenes between Sebas and Gaviota. I like seeing the themes of racism and elitism being as important as corruption.
Looks like pressure is being put on Ivan. His laundering partner wants him to launder more money, Margot wants him to pay for her son’s college education in exchange for her continuing to keep silent, and Paula wants him to find Arthur a job in exchange for her continuing to support him, although she doesn’t always agree with him.
I wonder if the hackers will be successful in stopping an audit from showing that the company has laundered money.
It is so sad to see the way Julia treats Lemarcos, who is trying so hard to please her. Bernie tries to tell her to be accepting of her children’s choices, with I’m sure the hope of him coming out of the closet some day, but she seems so stuck in her elitist ways. I’m glad that Sebas and Gaviota got to go away for the weekend. I hope Sebas is a true galan and brings Gaviota to Ivan’s wedding. Hope he is willing to confront his mother and Lucia with his love for Gaviota. What evil will Lucia stoop to try and break them up?

Loli

I'm sorry I missed a tear jerker.

Cafe capitulo 10
Just want to add that I love the way Gaviota is not into Sebas’ money. She didn’t even want him to buy her that beautiful woven bag at the store. Such a contrast to Lucia’s motive for wanting a relationship again with Sebas.
I am sure that the phone call, that she did not answer, from her father was to pressure her to get back with Sebas ASAP.

loli

Thanks so much, VVS, for this terrific recap! I loved your organizing it into The Serious Stuff, The Ridiculous Stuff, and More Serious Stuff. All too often, an entire episode could be entitled The Ridiculous Stuff. This episode at least had some very compelling, serious issues and scenes, along, of course, with lots of Ridiculous Stuff. And you captured it all beautifully.

Needless to say, I loved your wonderfully on-target comments--e.g., referring to B&M's place as "the Circus house," "Angie channels her inner Gabriel and lets Paulina know how selfish she is only talking about herself, not caring that Leo is dead and Rafa (and others) are hurting," and "(These two need to destroy each other and leave everyone else in peace!)." Amen to that!! Though you describe Melissa's (mis)behavior with Octavio as "very strange behavior for a woman pregnant with triplets," I regard it as par for the course with Melissa. Just about everything she does is "very strange behavior"--for anyone.

I was hoping that Don R would catch Bruno in the act of stealing stuff from his briefcase. Alas, BBBB lives to screw up again. I was interested to see you say that the will was only Norita's. I thought the document contained both Rogelio's will and Norita's. I'm hoping you're right--and I suspect you are. That would mean that not only won't BBBB be able to carry out VVV's order, but he'll also very likely get in trouble with his mother if he starts asking her about provisions in her will. (I really Really REALLY do NOT want B&M to have a happpy ending. But yes, I fear they will.)

Bravo to Gabe for expressing his displeasure and disgust at Creepy Carol! She sure is Melissa's daughter!

Finally, I loved the way you ended the recap! Again, MANY THANKS!!

Loli

Thank you for Juanita for the encouraging comments. I am glad to hear you enjoyed how the recap was strung together. If all the episodes had been a little more balanced like this one, I think we all would have enjoyed this novela a bit more. Last night was one of the easiest to recap for sure.

Hmmm, so I am pretty sure the will Bruno took was just Norita’s, although several episodes ago Don R did tell Norita that he was changing his will again. So now I am confused, maybe there were two in the briefcase? I couldn’t believe it when Bruno got away with yet another unethical/illegal stunt (like stealing money out of the cash registrar at Hunky Bar) I thought for sure Don R was going to catch him with the will under his coat.

Creepy Carol is perfect! She is just like Melissa! That family does not deserve a happy ending, but like you, I am sure they will get it.

loli

Let me echo Juanita's praise for the terrific recap and the way you organized it by serious and ridiculous. Your asides were great; loved the empty tissue box at the end.

So they managed to get Leo's heart into Sam without Loli ever having to ask this of Rafa. It was well done. Jessica was especially endearing in the scene in Seattle. She really did love her Uncle Leo.

Carol really is her mother's daughter. She seemed on the road to redemption and then comes on to Sam's boyfriend. Gabriel reminded her of how she tried to snag Joaquín, who was only interested in Jess. And then we see Melissa make a complete fool of herself over Octavio. I could hear the collective "eeeww!" from Viewerville - coast to coast.

I'm sure that was only Nora's will Bruno got his hands on. The idiot! Do the writers think that pantomime of behaving as if his hands had a will of their own about the will was funny? And, suppose he had really gotten Don R's will. Bruno sitting right beside the briefcase would be the Prime Suspect when Rogelio goes through its contents and finds it missing.

ITA about Pau and Chente destroying each other and leaving everyone else in peace.

And...talk about ridiculous. That whole Art drinks the green stuff and is revitalized was beyond dumb. It doesn't matter how much sex he has with Mati. The amount of sex has nothing to do with the number of sperm in each "episode". And why are they going with Art needing to contribute at all? Mati apparently has nice, robust swimmers who could do the job.

Loli

I figured they'd redeem Bruno and Mel with the idea that they aren't really selfish dumb jerks, just dumb. Very dumb. Turns out they ARE selfish jerks who should be disowned by everyone. Bruno's niece is dying and he can still only think about money that isn't owed to him? If they get anything, it should be the Mexico house to move to right now so they get out of everyone else's way. No one is so horrible to deserve them. Unless Paula and Vicente are forces to get married and have Bruno and Mel as they're servants. In Mexico. That'd be fair (except to Mexico).

Cafe

Team Margot! It's nice to see a maid not just sit back and take the abuse of the rich family she works for, even if she is getting what she wants by blackmail. I hope she's able to get her kid into college before she inevitably gets murdered by Ivan.

I'm still holding out hope for Julia and that she'll someday recognize that it's the 21st century and that her children are actually adults capable of sleeping with and embezzling from the people of their own choosing.

Since Gaviota was a virgin before Sebas, doesn't that mean that she had to get pregnant the first time based on telenovela medicine and is therefore carrying the first heir?

Kelly

cafe

Kelly and Fe, I enjoyed your comments. Yes, Julia's sort of passive-aggressive treatment of Lemarcos is pretty awful. She's portrayed as being too refined to exhibit outright racism; instead she comes up with more and more outlandish reasons why Lemarcos, apparently working as a chef in Paris before he came to be with Marcela, can't cook anything for Sebas' birthday.

Kelly, you said what I hated to even write, Gaviota being pregnant. If not already then soon. It would be refreshing if this novela would break the mold of countless novela plots; i.e., poor girl falls for rich guy, family does everything it can to get rid of her, and she ends up pregnant. I didn't see any of the prior novelas with this plot so I don't know if a pregnancy was involved.

Ivan is already plotting something that was mentioned during a car ride with Lucía and Lucrecia. He really wants to make Gaviota suffer because he lusts after her and his mother caught him in an attempted sexual assault. He also asked Aurelio to tell him if Gaviota was there in the hacienda after hearing Sebas was skipping the birthday lunch. And...the icing on the cake for this pretty nasty villain would be hurting his better looking, more capable brother by ruining his relationship with Gaviota.

Looks like their getaway might really happen. I expected Gaviota to be left waiting there because of some contrived "emergency" by Julia.

Cafe episode 10
Good point made, Kelly and Novelera , about Gaviota getting pregnant.
I would hope that Sebas would have brought condoms with him as obviously he did something to prevent Lucia from getting pregnant in the five years they were together. At one point when Carmenza was talking with Gaviota about being careful about falling for Sebas and she was hemming and hawing a bit, I was hoping she was going to bring up using protection to prevent pregnancy, but no such luck.

Loli

Thank you for Victoria, novelera and Kelly for the comments.

I could hear the collective "eeeww!" from Viewerville - coast to coast. So true novelera! Octavio could not get out of there fast enough. The whole green drink and Art was ridiculous, but it came from the brilliant mind of Lupe, so expectations are lower than the sperm count!

Kelly, I like the idea of Bruno and Mel being servants to Paulina and Chente, maybe in a one-bedroom shack somewhere. Everyone of them deserve to be disinherited!

Café

I am finally all caught up on episodes and want to thank novelera and Adriana Noel for the recaps and translations from last week.

Thank you Fe, for getting the conversation started this morning. I also am enjoying this novela a lot! Last night, Whew, after a watching a sad Loli episode, my mood was definitely improved watching that hunky, hot WM Levy! I don’t care if he mumbles, just keep wearing that green shirt and the salmon-colored shirt the next day. Wow! He is one handsome guy. The chemistry between Sebas and Gaviota does feel real. I was a bit disappointed that he asked Gaviota to meet him “in town” but then when he really was getting the jeep fixed, I could see why.

I am glad Sebas didn’t let Julia guilt trip him into staying just for the lunch she planned without asking and he went off the celebrate his birthday with who he wanted and doing what he wanted.

Once the Colombian versions of the Mean Girls get to Casa Blanca, I hope Sebas, Gaviota and their allies can stay strong!

Café con Aroma de Mujer – parte 1 de 3

Sebastián and Gaviota are…somewhere. They left the pueblo nearest to the hacienda and appear to be in another one not too far away. They try some delicious, fermented drink from a street vendor, and Gaviota insists on paying.

Pablo Emilio is at Café Élites talking on the phone with Carlos Mario, who’s lounging beside the pool. I think they’re talking about the hackers or whatever has been set up to fool the auditor. Carlos Mario asks when they’ll go forward with the other part of the deal. Pablo Emilio tells him no; that this is what they agreed to. From the tone of the conversation it seems Pablo Emilio got a big bribe from Carlos Mario for the first $100K laundering, and C.M. wants him to get Ivan to go along with more of the same.

Julia gives Lucía a warm embrace when she arrives at the hacienda.

Aurelio tells Ivan what he wanted to know before: that Gaviota is not at the hacienda today, but her mother is there.

What’s up with these short dresses Gaviota wears? It reminds me of wearing mini-skirts to the office back in the day and having to be very careful about bending over to pick up something off the floor. And…something about them infantilizes her, at least to me.

Sebas and Gaviota talk about their both missing his father. He wishes he didn’t have to be dealing with the audit. [He explains to her what that is.] He goes on to say he has some doubts about his brother. And many of the doubts come about Ivan’s assistant. [I assume he means P.E.] He says he doesn’t feel the same about his brother because of what happened with her and some things with the business. He goes on to say that, if Ivan tries it on again with her, he’ll turn him over to the police. Of course, this being a telenovela, she doesn’t tell him about the second time.

Lucia and Lucrecia talk. [They talk a LOT in this episode, and novelera is going to save some keystrokes. It’s Luc and Lu from now on.] Lu tells Luc that she isn’t going to let her hurt about Sebastian show. She doesn’t want the pity. She goes on to say that Sebas owes her a lot. She opened doors for him in NYC, and her father introduced him to some millionaires. “You might think it’s pride, but to spend years with him and then to have this stupid, illiterate creature…. This is why I was short with Marcela. What would it have cost her to let me know that woman was after him. I would have gotten on the first plane.”

Luc: “Would you like it if I asked Marcela not to help with this wedding?” Lu: “I’d love it! But it would be too obvious.”

cafe

Café con Aroma de Mujer – parte 2 de 3

Talking with Sebas, Gaviota has the same idea as Marcela, making a hacienda into a hotel and restaurant. I don’t think she necessarily means Casablanca. Sebas tells her: “It’s either one thing or the other. Either I return here or you come to New York. I need to be with you.”

Lu’s father calls. He needs money. She tells him she already gave him everything she could. Lucrecia had to pay her way to Colombia. Dear Old Dad: “But you have an apartment, a car, jewelry.” Lu’s face falls at this. She tells him she earned these things with her hard work. He replies: “But it would really help me. What really needs to happen is for you to marry Sebastián.”

There’s a couple of scenes I don’t really enjoy. Sebas and Gaviota have sushi for lunch and he gets to chuckle magnanimously at her not having eaten it or to know how to use chopsticks.

We are back at the hacienda for the family birthday lunch without the birthday boy. Lu tells them that she’s going back to NY after the wedding. Julia says that Sebas needs to get back to his job also; he’s only stayed because she’s asked him. Lucrecia tells Marcela thanks for her help, but she’s going to have the decorators do the food for the wedding. You can see the hurt on Marcela’s face, but we see Ivan give a wolfish grin. He only cares about the siblings who are on his side.

Sebas is coming on strong in the plaza of the town they’re visiting. He swears that he wants to live with her forever. Gaviota kind of reins him in saying they have a long way to go before being so serious.

Marcela is crying and telling Lemarcos how upset she is. She realizes that Luc is punishing her because she can’t tragar Lucia (swallow or bear to be around). She thanks him for his patience. He replies that, if they think a few unkind remarks [from some of her rotten siblings, although he doesn’t say so] would put him off, then they don’t know how much he loves her.

The two witches agree that they don’t care for Marcela. Luc says she’s said bad things about Ivan, sides with Sebas, and is driving a wedge between them. Lu thinks she might even be a friend of “that creature”. Just then a sweaty coffee picker walks by and the two shudder to think Sebas would be into something like that.

Sebas and Gaviota admire a landscape with what they call a mountain and I call a big hill. He takes a cell phone picture of them with this background.

Julia appeals to Ivan. She doesn’t want to go to Bogotá for the meeting. [I am not sure if this is just a general board meeting, the audit, or both together.] He tries to convince her everything needed is there, but eventually agrees that everything needed will be brought to the hacienda.

cafe

Café con Aroma de Mujer – parte 2 de 3

Gaviota and Sebas talk about their love of nature and how awful it would be to have some of those 200 year old palms cut down. He tells her it’s his birthday, and she’s a bit upset she didn’t know so she could get him something. He, of course, tells her SHE’S the birthday present. [I’ll combine two scenes here.] He tell her not showing up for the birthday lunch was not an insult to his mother; he just wanted to be with her for this day. Later he goes on to tell her about the fact that his ex-girlfriend, Lucia, was going to be there. He assures her they are mostly just friends now.

I don’t think Paula and Arthur are going to make the grade. They talk about the job Paula wheedled Ivan into giving Arthur in Bogotá. He tells her that he hates working in an office all the time. He needs to be free. He works for a whole year to save up and then takes off to travel. He wants to stay in Colombia. He says something about having 2 weeks worth of savings left. But he might get a job tending bar at the bar in the pueblo. Miss Entitled Brat is appalled and storms out.

Sebas and Gaviota check into a hotel The clerk mentions that the Honeymoon Suite is available. Gaviota protests (probably about the cost) but Sebas says it’s his birthday.

The woman whose name I can’t remember, the one who was frowning watching Aurelio and Maricucha getting along so well, has appeared at his house and proceeds to jump his bones. He tells her about Don Octavio giving land to Gaviota.

Margot gets a big check from Ivan for keeping quiet about the quarrel Ivan had with his father that resulted in the heart attack. But she convinces him to get her cash instead, saying something about how the bank would question such a large check.

Bernie is mooning around. He starts a text to Carlos apologizing but Ivan comes in before he sends it. Ivan advises him not to rush into a relationship. In fact, he advises him to take up with the daughter of their mother’s friend and have something else on the side.

Lu and Luc talk some more, bad mouthing Marcela. Lu comes up with a bright idea. They need to get some help from the hotel in town for the wedding. Why not have Gaviota attend the wedding as a waitress. This would point out to Sebas how wide the difference is between he and the coffee picker.

In the Honeymoon Suite Gaviota and Sebas sit at the foot of the huge bed with flowers on it in a heart shape. He asks if she’d come to live with him in New York. He says he doesn’t know if he could put up with the fights here with his brother without her.

La Suerte de Loli - #94 - p 1 de 3

As the episode opens, Loli asks Rafa whether it's Leo's heart that Sam is getting. Rafa says it is, it's what Leo would have wanted. Loli is overwhelmed with gratitude and love. She says to Rafa, "You gave my little girl a chance to live." Rafa says "Perhaps it's better if no one knows." Loli agrees: no one will know. They hug. Octavio comes in, sees them hugging, and leaves without being seen. Rafa tells Loli that the burial will be the next day. Loli starts to say she'll be there, but Rafa tells her she needs to be with Sam.

The doctor comes into the room smiling. The surgery went well. However, Sam will have to be in the ICU so that she can be monitored for the first 48 hours, which are the most critical.

At Hunky Bar, Apolo asks Octavio why he's not looking happy. "I'm happy for Loli and the girl," replies Octavio. Apolo completes the thought: "But it pushes back the wedding date." Apolo then tells Octavio, "There are lots of fish in the sea. You can always marry someone else."

Rafa talks with Gonzalo, his lawyer and friend. Rafa is upset about how little he knew Leo. He has only one photo of him, and he knew nothing about his life. "He lived here for a while. He had a lover while he was living here, I think it was Angie, but he never told me anything. We never sat down and talked. He was charismatic, everyone he met liked him. He helped Loli and Paulina with Sam's charity event. He even managed to get Vicente to promote him. He was special." Gustavo says that that was in large part thanks to Rafa and what he did for Leo. "And it's clear from the note he left that Leo appreciated it." But then Gustavo continues, "The person who was good for you and always by your side was Paulina." [Juanita groans.]

The scene changes to the laundry room at Bruno and Melissa's house. We see Nicky sitting on the floor next to the washer or dryer. He has some kind of funny hat on his head. Melissa opens the door and playfully asks whether she can enter Nicky's castle. Nicky tells her she needs to say the password. Melissa tries, "Aunt Melissa is real cool." Nope. She tries again, but Nicky tells her she had only one chance. She pleads with him to let him come in, because she has something important to tell him. He permits her to come in, and she tells him that Sam has a new heart. "That's the password!" exclaims Nicky. "Your password came true," says Melissa. "Sam has a new heart!" Nicky and Melissa hug. [Juanita groans.]

Rox and Cesar are talking about Cesar's job offer at a restaurant in Cancun. "You and Tomas are going to love it there," Rox claims. "And when Tomas meets all the female dogs, he'll forget about me." "No," says Cesar, "you stole his heart." Rox then tells Cesar that he should think about the restaurant now. Cesar agrees that she's right. "I'm really happy for you," says a not very convincing Rox. "I should go," agrees a not very convincing Cesar. He thanks her...for the tequila. And then he announces, "OK, I'm going." He gets up, goes to the door, and leaves. Rox starts crying.

Loli talks once again to Mariana's photo. "You did it!" she announces triumphantly. "Sam has Leo's heart. I'm indebted to Rafa." Loli then wonders out loud, "Does that mean forever?"

Octavio is on the phone with Mario (his lawyer, I think). "There's nothing I can do now, Mario." I know the wedding should take place in order to get priority, but I can't rush Loli now. You've done all you can. Thanks for all you've done." He ends the call.

La Suerte de Loli - #94 - p 2 de 3

Rafa thanks Pau for all she has done. She tells him that Leo will be watching over him, "and now you have another angel to look after you." [I assumed she was referring to Loli, but now as I write this, I find myself wondering whether she means herself.]

At the cemetary for the burial, Rafa looks at his brother's casket and says, "I can't believe you came all this way to die. I'm sorry. Forgive me." Suddenly, Vicente appears. Don Rogelio hurries over to him and says, "You've picked the wrong time to mend things with Rafa." Nonetheless, after a brief interlude where we see Bruno and Melissa looking at and talking about Nora's will, we see Vicente come over to Rafa and tell him he's very sorry for what happened to Leo. They hug. Rafa thanks him for coming. Vicente then says, "At the end, Leo fought with everyone. With you, with me, with the company." Having said that, he then tells Rafa that he's thinking of naming the multipurpose room at Global Radio after Leo! Vicente continues, "Your job at Global Radio is waiting for you. Think it over. I mean it from the bottom of my [non-existent] heart. I'm always here for you." Vicente leaves. Rafa looks very puzzled. Jess suggests to her father that maybe Vicente has changed. [And maybe pigs fly.]

There's a flashback to Loli's helping when Melissa was having trouble with giving birth when she was pregnant with Carol. Bruno tells Melissa, "We're indebted to Loli." Melissa reluctantly shakes her head in agreement.

Loli manages to get to the cemetary after making sure all was well with Sam. Of course, when Loli arrives, she sees Pau and Jess with their arms around Rafa. She leaves unseen. We then see Loli bring flowers to the doctor/hypnotist she slightly hit with her car the day before. "I need to talk to someone," says a clearly troubled Loli. The doctor tells her to feel free to cry. She does.

Arturo thanks Lupe and ?? on behalf of his cousin's friend for the green glop they provided. The friend has asked Arturo to get more. Lupe tells him it will cost $50. Arturo quickly takes out his wallet and hands over the money. She's happy to help his cousin's friend. However, she wants him to warn his cousin's friend that he shouldn't take too much. An overdose could be fatal. Arturo thanks her and leaves. Lupe's co-gossip asks whether the stuff really cost $50. Lupe smiles and says, "It's called supply and demand."

Octavio is very upset. He's just learned that his mother's visa application was denied. He tells Apolo, "They say she entered the country illegally. I spoke with two lawyers. Both said the same thing. I have to wait six months and then can try again." He tells Apolo he was happy that his mother was coming. "I don't know what I did wrong. I want a family!"

Bruno and Melissa are arguing. Bruno feels that the right thing to do is to give custody of Sam and Nicky to Loli. She deserves it. Moreover, "we ignored Mariana's wishes so that we would get the inheritance." Melissa isn't buying this. "We worked very hard to get this. You can't back out now." Bruno protests, "But it's what's right." Melissa says NO. Bruno tells her, "I won't feel at peace until I do this."

Loli tells the doctor that she arrived at the cemetary late and saw Rafa with Paulina and Jess. "There's no room for me." The doctor points out that Paulina is the mother of Rafa's daughter. He advises Loli to relax. Loli blurts out, "I think Rafa is going back to Paulina!" And again she cries.

La Suerte de Loli - #94 - p 3 de 3

Pau has convinced Rafa to have some food. When she goes into the kitchen, Rafa notices a manuscript lying on a table: Recuperé a mi Ex (I got back my Ex). Rafa asks Pau about the manuscript, and especially about the title. Pau claims that it's not autobiography. Rafa says that it makes him feel she's using him. Pau replies, "I'm not a lunatic obsessed with you." [Which prompts Juanita to yell, Liar! Liar! Pants on fire!] Pau ignores Juanita and continues, "I know you want something else. Maybe we should take the trip Leo wanted. We could do it as a family. Go in a salboat."

At the hospital, Domingo and Nora meet with Loli. Domingo asks Loli why she looks so sad. Sam is doing well. The worst is over. Bruno arrives. He tells Domingo, Nora, and Loli that he realizes he doesn't really know Sam. "I asked for custody because I thought it was best for them [and be$t for him, Meli$$a, and Carol]. But then I realized that I was wrong about you, Loli. You're a capable, hardworking, responsible person. I messed up. I disregarded Mariana's wishes. Loli, you know the kids better than anyone. You adore them." Nora adds, "And they adore her." Bruno continues, "you deserve to have the kids. We're going to give them to you." A surprised Nora says, "I'm proud of you, son." Bruno is thrilled--she has never said that to him before. Loli is ecstatic. She immediately pictures Nicky's reaction, and Sam's. Then she tells them a joke she was thinking about. When Sam wakes up and opens her heye, Loli will tell her, "Sam, you've been asleep for ten years. The reason I look so good is that I've been using Maria del Toro's cream." Domingo bursts into laughter. Nora look somewhat puzzled. I am totally puzzled. [Could she have said Mariana Torres rather than Maria del Toro? But either way, I don't get it.]

Paulina asks Rafa to think over what she has proposed. She then asks whether he's going to accept Vicente's offer. Rafa replies, "I don't believe in it, but I don't know what I want to do."

A phone call from the doctor that was intended for Arturo goes to Mati instead. So Mati finds out that Arturo knows about his low sperm count and is trying to do something about it. Mati tells him he should stop taking the green stuff. Arturo insists it's not a drug. Lupe recommended it. When Mati looks horrified, Arturo assures him that he didn't say it was for himself. Mati still urges him to stop taking it. Arturo agrees: "OK, but just one more time." [Oops, this sounds ominous.]

Rogelio looks for Nora's will and can't find it.

Rox and Cesar are talking again. She tells him that Tomas is ignoring her. Cesar lets her know that Tomas has been that way toward him, too, ever since he told Tomas that they were going to Cancun. Tomas didn't eat. Rox tries to convince Tomas that it will be great in Cancun, with terrific beaches, etc. Cesar then breaks it to her that they want him to start very soon, and he's leaving on Sunday.

Loli has come to see Octavio. He's happy that Bruno and Melissa will be giving up custody in favor of Loli. And, he adds, that means that she won't need... Loli interrupts. "You still need the wedding." Octavio insists he doesn't. "No, no, I'll find another way to help the kids." Loli tells him, "I gave you my word, and we're still on." "No," insists Octavio, "you deserve to be with someone you truly love. I can find another way. Thanks you, though. Thank you." And on that note, the episode ends.

Cafe episode 11

Thank you so much Novelera for posting this excellent recap. I hope more people will begin commenting. To me this is one of the better telenovelas I’ve seen in awhile; excellent actors, lovely scenery, music!
I agree with you that Gaviota looks a bit childish, especially next to William Levy. I love her innocence and honesty but I’d like to see her occasionally dress in something other than those short dresses! I think she is smart and we may see her develop into an amazing creative business woman, with her love for the land and cafe. I cannot imagine her living in NYC but I do think Sebas may be drawn back to the land.
The evil is starting to come out in both Luc and Lu in Luc’s not having Marcela cook for her wedding, and in Lu wanting to hire Gaviota to be a waitress at the wedding. Mean girls!

Loli

Oh my Juanita! You outdid yourself on this recap! Nice and snarky with so many comments that I completely agreed with. Especially the Juanita (and VVS) groan with the “Paulina was with you” comment from Gonzalo and the Melissa/Nicky interaction in the laundry room!

She tells him that Leo will be watching over him, "and now you have another angel to look after you." Paulina was totally talking about herself! I thought it was pretty slithery smooth for her to come up with a month-long trip that “supposedly” Leo wanted to take. I never heard Leo say anything like that.

Chente’s “non-existent” heart…good one Juanita!

So glad that Bruno has seen the light to give custody back to Loli, but I do think Don R is totally going to figure out the Bruno snagged that will out of his briefcase!

I didn’t get the face cream, 10-year joke either Juanita.

Gosh, the one I felt sorry for was Octavio. He is losing on every side and cannot catch a break! At first, I thought he was sad not being able marry Loli, but then I realized all he wants is a family, with his Mom, Gabe and Christe. I appreciated that Loli was still willing to go through with the marriage for him, but glad that Octavio is saying no.

loli

Juanita, your groans were heard down here on the Peninsula! Thanks so much for the wonderful recap, loaded with special asides.

So...Loli quit her job a while ago and Rafa quit his. How are these people paying for the nice places they live? And...Loli...as far as we know she might be still paying a mortgage on the house she lived in before Mariana died.

There's a lot of magical thinking about weddings. Octavio and Loli both think that...presto-changeo, they tie the knot and immediately can get custody of the respective kids. Regarding Gabriel and Christi, wouldn't they need to demonstrate living together, a joint checking account...something?

Melissa and Bruno pore over Nora's will and, IIRC, Melissa says that Nora is rich. What? The only thing that was mentioned was the house in Mexico and some jewelry. I think there was one more, but still not qualifying as rich. And everyone in this show gets excited about inheritance when the respective writers of wills are seemingly hale and hearty and either in their 60s or early 70s. Melissa would have $80K in credit card debt by the time they get a red cent.

Loved Chente's non-existent heart! Although I thought he actually did feel a bit bad. He's a narcissistic jackass, but I felt like some sadness about the loss of a friend was there on the actor's face. And that returned hug by Rafa was stiff, to say the least.

In the flashback scene it was revealed that Loli asked Don R. for help and he flew in a special obstetrician from Argentina. That was nice, but...they don't have the best OB's in LA? And no one ever told Melissa and Bruno about how Dr. Buenos Aires managed to be there for Carol's birth?

Lupe said something about the green stuff costing maybe a dollar.

And I am wondering if Bertha will be so accepting of Bruno giving back the kids.

I thought the face cream thing at the end was referring to some well-known face cream that Latinas like to use. I certainly had never heard of the brand name. I hadn't considered that Maria del Toro could be related to Mariana Torres. But it would have been kind of a cute, Rip van Winkle prank on Sam that they'd play on her for...maybe...15 minutes. And Loli's not having aged would be attributed to this cream.

Café

Thank you novelera for this detailed recap! Sebastián and Gaviota are…somewhere, yes some quaint pueblo with a very fancy Japanese/sushi restaurant. I guess I was okay with Sebastian taking Gaviota there as she has said several times that she has never really experience anything different outside of the harvesting coffee lifestyle. I did like that she insisted on paying for the street vendor drink.

I really struggled to follow the P.E./C.E./Ivan money laundering story line so I appreciate you really covering that in detail.

Lots and lots of talking from the Colombian Mean Girls, most of it I had a hard time understanding so again, thank you for the conversation details: Luc: “Would you like it if I asked Marcela not to help with this wedding?” Lu: “I’d love it! But it would be too obvious.” I did not initially understand that the move to remove Marcela was actually preplanned. Even Paula was annoyed with that mean move and I was surprised Julia didn’t put her foot down for that one.

I thought Aurelio was a good guy, but after his romp in the sack with the sweaty, then not sweaty visitor and spilling the coffee beans about Don Octavio giving Gaviota and her mom some prime land, I am starting to wonder. He complained that his father worked for Don O for 40 years and got nothing but suddenly he was giving prime land away to Carmenza and Gaviota. Pillow talk is always dangerous.

Lu definitely showed her ugliness wanting Gaviota to be waitstaff at the wedding. What a biotch. She is gold digger, not Gaviota. Thanks again novelera! Please know how much I appreciate the recap and I think others out there do too!

loli

Wow! Thanks VERY much, VVS and novelera, for your wonderfully helpful and supportive comments. VVS, I too was/am feeling sorry for Octavio. It's hard to see how things will go his way before the novela ends. And I hope you're right about Don R figuring out that Bruno stole the copy of the will. The writers seem so intent on redeeming him that I fear that may wind up as an unresolved loose end.

novelera, many thanks for all the great details you've added. And I too thought it was unrealistic of Octavio and Loli to assume that all it would take for custody is a signed marriage certificate. I had a similar feeling about Bruno's "giving" the kids to Loli.

I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one mystified by Loli's "joke." Though I didn't do this when I was writing the recap, this morning I did check Google and Duck Duck Go for "Maria del Toro cream." NADA! Lots of photos of various Maria del Toros, but nothing that would seem to explain the reference. As I was writing the recap, I did wonder whether I had misheard "Mariana Torres's cream" as "Maria del Toro's cream." "Toro's" could certainly sound like Torres, and Maria and Mariana are also somewhat similar in sound. I wasn't convinced even then, and now in the light of day it seems even more far fetched. And neither version really helped me much to see the joke as belly-laughing funny, a la Domingo's response.

So what's left to be resolved. I'm hoping that stubborn Rox and somewhat less stubborn Cesar can overcome their pride and get together before Cesar feels compelled to head off to Cancún. Unless, of course, Rox goes with him. She'd probably have great success with a "Wake Up, Cancún!" podcast. I hope she does NOT serve as a surrogate for Mati and Arturo. I'd be very worried about her health. And there's our buddy Octavio. I hope he manages to get custody of Gabe and Cristi, and perhaps win the visa lottery for him mom. (What visa lottery, you ask? The one created by Telenovela Magic, of course.)

The Wednesday quickie

Bruno is a few steps ahead of Melissa in redemption, but he's almost there. He tells Nicky he's going back to living with Loli. Later he tells Chente he's not going to do any more rotten stuff for him.

Rafa and Loli both say they love each other, but Rafa needs to take the trip Leo had mentioned to him to get over things.

Jess and Joaquín tell Carol exactly what they think of her kissing Gabriel and in front of the mean girls.

Octavio tells Loli how the changes she made have really improved Hunky Bar. She has resigned.

Pau shows up at the place Rafa is trying to have this alone time. She has brought Jess.

Rafa is going to publish a book, a compilation of his journalism. Pau offers to help him get it to her publisher.

Raul is out of prison. Nicky is very happy. Octavio looks very sad.

Rox gets the fertilized egg implanted but doesn't get pregnant.

Angie quits GR.

Bruno gets a job, looks like as a UPS driver.

Rafa tells Gonzalo he's going back to Pau.

Octo gets big bucks from Seed Bank for messing up the privacy of his donations.

There's a great last scene. Loli shows up at GR. Everyone is astonished. Vicente gets ready to be nasty, but she tells him Sam and Nicky are now the major shareholders, and she's here to protect their interests. In fact, Chente now works for Nicky and Sam. [I think that was the change to Don R's will.]

Cafe:

Okay Gaviota & Sebas bringing her Mom mother than a purse home from their trip...Mom is going to be a Grandma! Sebas is going to get confused after the wedding and end up married to I need a Man with Money Lu! Mama has got me crying laughing eating a half jar of the cookies she doesn't like. This reminds me of her role as Berta in Yo Soy Betty. I think by the end the family will be homeless and Gaviota will be rich with the Vallejo grandson! I hope I got the names right I just binged watch all the episodes in 2 days. They need to give Gaviota some looser clothes because her side profile isn't is big as Sebas bicep.

CAFE

Thank you for the other day recap, Novelera, especially for pointing out the details related to the business dealings, that mostly go over my head.I'm preparing to watch last night's show so I might be able to do a short recap before I prepare for my Thursday show. I'll try to make sure not to recap more than was aired, since my episodes finish at different times than the US airings.

I watched ALL the other versions, but I won't spoil anything, especially since some of the things that are happening make some of the later stories in the other versions impossible. A virgin getting pregnant after her first time is a definite novela trope, I think it's safe to say things might go that way. And looking at that bed of roses, I do hope Sebas comes prepared.

CAFE

Quick question (for when you wake up): could someone tell me what was the last scene that aired last night? So I don't go into spoiler territory...

Café

Good morning Adriana Noel! The last scene was Marcela and Julia in the kitchen with Marcela storming out because she feels her mother is the one dividing the family by always defending/supporting Ivan.

CAFE CON AROMA DE MUJER
part 1

Sebastian and Gaviota make love… several times, I believe. At one point they stop enough for him to explain her that he and Ivan were never close because their father always thought Seb could do no wrong and Julia was on Ivan’s side.

The next day Maricucha is back in the village, with her son. Aurelio is very welcoming, reassures her about still having a job. Margara looks on… If looks could kill… Later on Maricucha tells him that she doesn’t want to attract Margara’s rage, but Aurelio doesn’t seem too bothered. He admits to having some fun with her, but nothing more.

Lucrecia and Lucia arrive, asking Aurelio to help them find some women to help with the wedding. Aurelio suggests that Maricucha could work in the kitchen and thinks of Carmenza and Gaviota for the waitressing jobs. Lucia jumps at the opportunity and when Carmenza shows up she tells her that Dona Julia herself recommended them. Carmenza feels obligated to say yes, but doesn’t look to happy about it.

Gaviota and Sebastian are back, too. They stop in the village for coffee and I keep waiting for them to run into Luc and Lu, but no luck! Seb tells Gaviota that he told his ex, Lucia, about being with someone else, so Gaviota gets scared. He tries to calm her, he thinks they are destined to be together.

As they drive to Gaviota’s hut, she sings and he drives. For quite a while. Then he stops the car, just to kiss her (must be love, huh?). And to mention how he’s been independent for quite a while, but now, being back, he feels like he never left. Even if the world turns against them, nothing will separate them.

Gaviota arrives home. Her mom is so happy to see her, you’d think her daughter got back from her honeymoon, not from a secret weekend getaway with the patron. Gaviota is super happy, Sebastian has been amazing, they’ve talked a lot about their future.

CAFE CON AROMA DE MUJER
part 2

At the same time Sebastian arrives home, to find the 4 good for nothing ladies of the house talk. Before his arrival, Lucrecia was expressing her concern about getting unqualified workers to cater her wedding, Julia wonders if the workers won’t bail on them. Lucia is sure that won’t happen, because she couldn’t care less about Luc’s marriage, all she cares about are her own devious plans.

Seb’s arrival stops the chat, he greets everyone and Lucia doesn’t miss the chance to wish him a happy birthday. When he leaves, she confesses to Julia that Seb has found another woman. Paula confirms this, she heard him on the phone. Lu gets upset she didn’t tell her. Bros before hoes is what Paula should say, but that would make her slightly less insufferable, so she only mumbles that she wasn’t sure of what she heard. They start speculating about who the new woman could be. Julia doesn’t care, she only wants Lucia for Seb.

Marcela and Lemarcos get into a fight because some woman flirted with him in front of her and he didn’t protest. Later on they look on as Lucrecia, Ivan, Lucia and Sebastian talk about the wedding. Marce thinks that her brother is either stupid, or just too nice to tell Lucia to get lost. She doesn’t think Seb will dare bring Gaviota at the wedding and is sure Lucia won’t give up on him so easily.

While Lucrecia is showing Ivan some trees (and he looks half asleep), Seb apologizes to Lucia for not being around for his birthday. She plays it cool, she’s here for Lucrecia, not for him. She understands that they’re over, but she’s still in so much pain. By the way, Julia knows about the other woman, Paula told her. Maybe Seb should talk to his momma (can’t argue here). Also, is this new woman just for fun, or is Seb in love?

We don’t get to see his answer, instead we jump to Gaviota and Carmenza talking about the wedding jobs offered to them. Gaviota realizes Lu and Luc were behind the whole thing, Dona Julia never loved them that much, she would never recommend them for the job.

Seb talks to Marcela about his weekend, he had a good time. He does want to introduce Gaviota to the family, but he feels bad because Lucia is around to witness it. Marcela encourages him to forget about their mother’s dreams of grandeur, and bring Gaviota to the wedding. She will watch over her and protect her from the beasts.

Later on Marcela confronts her mother about not sticking up for her with Lucrecia. She basically tells her that she’s weak, when their father was around they never used to have this type of conflict. Julia asks for her help to keep the family united, Marcela calls her out on her hypocrisy, she never thought she had that much importance in her mother’s eyes. After all, she does take Ivan’s side every single time.

PS: thank you for the your help, VVS.

Cafe épisode 12
Muchas gracias Adriana Noel for your excellent recap!
My favorite parts were the conversations between Gaviota and Sebas. It was the first time I heard Sebas speak in depth about his relationship with his family; how Julia always took Ivan’s side and how his father took his side. Sebas was always the son that never got into trouble, did well in school; etc. He wanted to be independent, make a name of himself that was more than just the family name. I also like the way Gaviota talked about the closeness she shares with her mother, that they are more like sisters than mother and daughter.
I think that if Gaviota were to move to New York, her mother would join them. Her connection to the land is so strong and beautiful, that eventually I see them all living on the land. Sebas also said that his love for her was forever, until death do them apart.
I can’t wait for Julia to find out what a disaster Ivan is. He’s not only money laundering but tried to abuse Gaviota twice and he’s having an affair with his Narcos wife!
The mean girls keep getting meaner. Can’t wait to see what happens at the wedding!

Loli

I appreciate the Wednesday Quickie (lol) novelera! I think you covered everything. I would add that Loli did try her “10 year asleep” joke with Sam when she woke up from the surgery and now Sam and Nicky are back at home with Loli.

It appears that Loli and the hypnotist/physiatrist are platonically seeing each other. With Rafa saying he is going back to Pauline (ugh!) does this reopen the door for what a few of us have been hoping for over the last 95 episodes? Will Loli and Octavio finally end up together?

At least Octavio is finally being compensated for the sperm bank lack of confidentiality. With Gabe telling him not to worry about adoption/fostering anymore and Nicky’s DNA dad out of prison, it was another sad night for my telenovio.

Oh I also loved the ending! Don R was way smart in changing the will and I am glad Bruno fished out Nora’s will and not this one because Chente almost looked scared!

You are amazing novelera! I can barely watch two novelas and comment, let alone work, recap two and comment. Thank you!

Loli

So sorry, I went missing from the patio. I’ve just about had time to do my recaps for Embajador and I haven’t been able to watch Loli live this week. The Telemundo site is horrible and crashes after every commercial break. I gave up. I am eternally grateful for the recaps VVS and Juanita provided and special thanks to novelera for the Wed quickie.

You filled me in on everything that was important and did it in magnificent style and wit. You never let me down. At least I’ll be able to watch tonight, and I’ll be back on track for my recap tomorrow.

What do the writers have against Octavio? The way they make him suffer, they better give him the happiest of endings.

Is it within the realm of possibility to redeem an a*hole like Vicente?

I’m glad Bruno is finally seeing the light. Carol is more despicable than her parents.

How many episodes will Rafa-Pau 2.0 last? We don't have many eps left. Will she force Rafa to stay married to her until after her book is published? That's what happened last time.

Thanks again, everyone.

Thanks so much, Adriana Noel. Another fine recap! Sorry to be so late in thanking you. I am working remotely and had a pretty busy day.

The woman who almost threw herself at Lemarcos in the plaza and completely ignored Marcela was the waitress from the bar where Gaviota sings. Is the bar called Don Pedro's? Not sure.

There were some things in your recap that I don't remember happening. It's possibly because I just forgot them. I don't remember Maricucha and Aurelo talking about Margara and her pretty scary rage about how fond Maricucha and Aurelio are of each other.

I also don't remember a scene with Sebastian talking with Marcela and her telling him to invite Gaviota to the wedding.

The scene you put in as last about the VERY interesting conversation Marcela had with Julia was IIRC the last one I saw. Julia has some failings as a mother. She clearly favors her firstborn, even though she lit into him HARD after seeing him trying to force himself on Gaviota. She probably was SO firm because she loves him the best and is very disappointed in his behavior lately. Marcela gave it to her straight and I think Julia knew she was right, at least judging by her facial expression after Marcela walked out.

Don't worry about whether you've put in something Telemundo hasn't shown. It must be very difficult doing recaps from a different channel or web site. We appreciate your recaps very much!

Café

Super recap Adriana Noel, thank you! I am glad I checked the comments before heading in to my early shift this morning.

You covered everything in a very snarky fashion! Your comments are great! I liked: Margara looks on… If looks could kill… No Kidding! That is going to be an interesting storyline.

We finally got to see Sebas shirtless. Sigh…I like how the birthday boy really does seem like a romantic and not on some crazy sexcapade.

Gaviota and her mom are pretty savvy and on to the mean girls mean game.

You did share an entire scene that wasn’t shown or I slept through: “Seb talks to Marcela about his weekend, he had a good time. He does want to introduce Gaviota to the family, but he feels bad because Lucia is around to witness it. Marcela encourages him to forget about their mother’s dreams of grandeur, and bring Gaviota to the wedding. She will watch over her and protect her from the beasts.” He better take Gaviota to the wedding!

Julia is going to get a lot surprises very soon I am guessing.
