Caught this one again during lunch today. For reason I missed because I tuned in mid-episode, Sofía was in bed and not feeling well, went to drink a cup of tea, then she missed the night table when she tried to put it back there. It all hit the floor, so Sofía just looks down at it and we can see the thought bubble "eh, whatever" and goes to sleep. Didn't call a servant to clean it up, just left it there. Really? Gah.
 

ECDLP #85

- Lalo helps Clara and her son, Benito, get settled into their apartment.
- Rebeca meets with Roman to talk about Lucia. She says she knows he is interested in Lucia. She says that Marcelo has only created problems in her family.
- Roman tells Rebeca to worry more about Nora than about Lucia.
- Nazario goes to the police station to ask about Clara and her whereabouts.
- Clara tells her friend that Benito’s health isn’t improving. She spent all the money Lucia gave her.
- Nora tells Marcelo that Lucia has been feeling ill and that Roman tended to her even though it’s not his specialty.
- Marcelo calls Lucia but she doesn’t answer. She is at the hospital to ask Sara for help.
- Rebeca sees Nora leaving the factory and realizes she went to see Marcelo.
- Lucia tells Sara that she thinks she’s pregnant. Sara recommends that Lucia take a test and see a gynecologist.
- Lucia says she doesn’t want to tell Marcelo until she gets the confirmation that she is pregnant.
- Rebeca tells Marcelo to stay away from Nora.
- Rebeca hopes Amador can get Marcelo out of the factory ASAP.
- Alfredo wants to take Daniela back to the city so she can forget about Ricardo. She refuses.
- Vinicio wants Amador to give him a different job within the factory.
- Marcelo goes to see Lucia to inquire about her health. Nora told him about it. He tells her not to be jealous of Nora when she (L) broke up with him.
- Amador announces to the workers of Vinicio’s new position. Amador fires Nazario. Lalo calls Marcelo.
- Rebeca wonders if Nora is truly over Marcelo. She tells her that Alonso had fired Marcelo before his death.
- Lucia is visiting her parents graves. As she is leaving she gets a pain in her abdomen. She sees Roman at another gravesite.
- Roman tells her that his wife and son died in an accident five years prior. Lucia invites him to join her for coffee.
- Rafaela reminds Milagros that Federico committed suicide and wasn’t literally murdered. Milagros stands by her opinion.
- Alfredo meets with the PI he hired and tells him about the three new people he wants investigated.
- Daniela complains about her dad to Ricardo.
- Marcelo goes to see Nazario because Lalo had called him to tell him what happened.
- Roman tells Lucia about the guilt he feels that he was driving when he and his wife and child were in the accident that caused the latter two’s deaths.
- Lucia tells Roman that she isn’t ready for a new relationship.
- Sara and Magdalena talk about Lucia and Marcelo’s relationship. Magdalena is worried about Lucia living under the same roof as Rebeca. Sara shares that sentiment.
- Marcelo confronts Rebeca about helping Amador.
- Lucia goes to visit Magdalena because she’s tired of being around Rebeca. She goes to the restroom but when she comes out blood is running down her leg.
 

OT - La Madrastra

IMO, the key to learning a foreign language is repetition. And, from this perspective. La Madrastra is a wonderful teaching/learning tool precisely because the dialogue is sooooo repetitive.

If you watch the entire novela, by the end an entire slew of phrases will be burned into your brain.

- Magdalena tries to assure Lucia that she’ll be okay. She calls Sara.
- Normita confesses her feelings to Nazario. Nazario is speechless. She says she’d understand if he didn’t want to see him anymore.
- Rebeca tells Amador that him firing Nazario will cause big problems.
- Marcelo tells Rafaela that Roman is trying to win Lucia over.
- Sara orders Lucia to be on bed rest because of the risk of miscarrying.
- Sara will send someone to do blood work on Lucia.
- Leti confesses to Rodrigo that she has feelings for Sergio but makes him swear not to tell anyone.
- Lalo and Teresa sort of confess their feelings for each other.
- Magdalena tells Rebeca that Lucia will stay at her house for the night.
- Rebeca tells Nora not to gossip to Marcelo about Lucia’s health problems.
- Magdalena asks Lucia if she really wants to have a baby of Marcelo’s.
- Lucia will take the pregnancy test first before telling Marcelo anything.
- Sergio is confused by the friendship between Rodrigo and Leti.
- Rodrigo tells Sergio that Leti is interested in someone (not Mario) but he won’t tell him who it is.
- Mario tells Magdalena that Rebeca will not like it if the will reading has to be postponed because of Lucia’s problem.
- They talk about potentially starting their own family.
- Gloria is angry that Sergio is ignoring her calls/texts.
- Leti eavesdrops as Sergio breaks up with Gloria. Gloria knows he’s interested in Leti and he confirms it.
- When Gloria leaves she runs into Leti and warns her that this isn’t over.
- Leti tells Mario that she has decided not to quit her job.
- Lalo tells Marcelo that everyone is refusing to work now that Amador’s in charge. Marc says Lucia doesn’t know anything yet.
- Lalo tells him that Lucia was sick so she is staying at Mags’ house.
- One of the detectives interrogates Clara’s friend on her whereabouts. She lies.
- Lucia tells Marcelo that she might be pregnant. She needs to confirm it with a test first.
- Marcelo tells her about Amador firing Nazario.
- Mario calls Rebeca to tell her about postponing the will reading.
- Rebeca refuses to rehire Nazario.
- Alfredo attempts to bribe Ric to leave Daniela
- Sergio tells Leti he broke up with Gloria. He’s jealous that he doesn’t know who Leti has a crush on.
- Nora wants Roman to continue to woo Lucia. She gives him Mags’ address as Lucia is there currently.
- Lucia calls Rebeca and berates her about Nazario’s firing. Magdalena reminds Lucia that Marcelo returned to the factory to try and help Lucia prevent something like this happening.
- Alfredo visits Marcelo at the factory to ask him for help in dealing with Daniela and her new boyfriend. When Alf mentions Ric’s name, it is familiar to Marc but he can’t place it.
- Daniela is angry with Milagros for telling her dad what she’s been up to. She’s not interested in getting back together with Marcelo.
- As he’s leaving Marcelo’s office, Alfredo sees Rebeca who he knows as “Adriana”. She pretends to not know him. Normita witnesses the exchange.

Minor mistake in my recap: Marcelo does recognize Ric’s name when Alfredo mentions it to him but he doesn’t tell Alfredo what he knows about Ric.
