Karmageddon in the Public Eye: Si Nos Dejan

Paddy Chayefsky (1923-1981) would have loved this series. The madness and hypocrisy behind the scenes of television news was the subject of his greatest work: Network. The sexual politics is also a factor, with gender roles called into question, challenged, and – we hope – a victory for the deserving.

There are a handful of nasty and unscrupulous people here to deserve to hit rock bottom so let's get to it.

Sergio Carranza / Alexis Ayala

He's no Howard Beale or Max Rheinhard because he rocks no societal boats. While his name is on a foundation that allegedly helps the poor most of its assets have probably been embezzeled by a son he does not acknowledge... and he never told his wife about. We're fairly sure that this foundation was established purely to get Sergio positive PR.

Guilty of long-term adultery with Julieta Logo, the co-host of his program, to the abject humiliation of his wife of 30 years. Guilty of emotional and financial abuse of Alicia, even stating that her traditional wife role could have been better performed by a competent maid. Sent a private investigator to catch Alicia in the act with Martín Guerra. Willingness to bribe family court judges to get custody of Miranda. Blames Alicia for all family issues, despite that their first two “children” are now adults. Will believe accusations of any wrongdoing on his family members' parts on no evidence. Will create evidence against them to remain in control.

Abandoned Prudencia and Lucas, in fact threw her out of his house. May have been responsible for her being in a wheelchair.

Attempted to get his children to accept potential Wicked Stepmother Julieta taking Alicia's place in the family home.

Attempted to blackball Martin from their profession.

Had Martín arrested on false charges with perjured statement from eyewitness, followed by attempted obstruction of justice by attempting to prevent Martín's access to visitors or a lawyer.

Major Weakness: Ego, also medical condition and dependence on Alicia for his care.


Julieta Lugo / Scarlet Gruber

Homewrecker, like UBS's Diana Christianson in Network and just as ambitious. May be prostituting herself to the wrong client for this, as Sergio may not have as much power as he thinks. Guilty of setting up Alicia's discovery of the adultery, framing Martin for multiple revelations published by another journalist in Mabel's employ, including compromising photos. Guilty of a DUI and dodging the police over it.

Shooting a pistol in her apartment, during which she threatened to shoot Martin for an assault that never happened.

May actually be using Sergio as a stepping stone â la All About Eve,.

Major Weakness: Vanity & Selfishness
 

Karmageddon: Si Nos Dejan

Eva de Montiel / Susanna Dosamantes

Serious mooch, leeching off high-earning son-in-law. Guilty of foiling her daughter's efforts at separating from her abusive and unfaithful husband. Colluded in the P.I. investigation of Alicia and Martin and separately to dig up dirt on Martin... and invent some if they find none. Regularly recruited granddaughters in her effort to get Sergio back into the house. Stole at least one valuable piece of Alicia's jewelry and Sergio's latest trophy to use to pay off the gambling debts nobody else knows about (including Sergio, whom she told she needed more money for her medications). Completely – and possibly deliberately – oblivious to Alicia's suffering at Sergio's abuse. Possibly guilty of blasphemy as well.

Major Weakness: Casino gambling, inability to love, and “What will the neighbors / the public think?”


Carlota Vegas / Gabriela Carillo

Despite anything she says to her daughter, desperately wanted to reconcile with Martin. Violates professional ethics by advising Alicia to break up with Martin because of their age difference, which also included major insults. Got reamed out by Fedora for this with more consequences pending.

This just in: Was contacted by the National Commission for Ethics in Psychology that charges were filed against her for malpractice.

Major Weakness: Never got therapy after her divorce, so never got over it.


El Toro / Francisco Vázquez

Guilty of abusing all family members while dragging teen son into a life of crime. A major misogynistt who attempts to sabotage daughter's attempts at getting a better education. May be involved in the murder of Simon Guerra.

Major Weakness: Hair-trigger temper.


Samuel Fonseca / José Maria Galeano

Guilty of physically, verbally, and emotionally abusing Fedora and attempted murder of Gonzalo. May have suffered brain damage from oxygen deprivatioin by Fedora's actions (I would give her a pass on that). Regained consciousness in episode 56 and escaped from hospital. Currently stalking Gonzalo.

Major Weakness: Serious misogyny, possibly due to insecurity


Alberto Mujica / Mauricio Pimentel

Corrupt cop, likely in deep on the murder of Simon Guerra. Also guilty of sexual harrassment.

Major Weakness: Envy of any man who is handsomer or more successful.


Mabel Rangel / Sofia Rivera Torrres

Occasional accomplice to Julieta Lugo. Attempts to move in on Martin to take him from Alicia.

Major Weakness: Her sex drive.


Nicole / (actress unknown)

Typical mean girl. Guilty of bullying Miranda, framing her for drug possession, and distributing a strip video obtained by the hacking of Diego's phone. Manipulating others in their school into doing her bidding, initially including Diego then later his “friends” into hacking his phone.

Major Weakness: Ego
 

DEJAN – Ep. 63, Part 1

Alicia tells Rebeca and Fedora that Martin won’t answer her calls. She wonders where that man is who told her that he adored her. Fedora wonders if Sergio threatened Martin, but Alicia thinks that Martin should at least answer his phone.

Martin yells from his cell that he has rights….he should have a lawyer and should be allowed to make a phone call.

Yuri questions Sergio about what he is trying to do to Martin…he is twisting the law and abusing his power to hurt Martin. As they argue, Miranda yells that she is tired of all the arguments and leaves. Julieta suggests that they stop arguing and asks Yuri to show her the rest of the house.

At the casino, Eva celebrates that she finally won.

At the police station, Karina defends Martin, but Mujica reminds her of the charges. Mujica then gets a call from the “general” and tells Karina that Martin is in big trouble…Sergio wants his head.

Carlota thinks that Alicia was the one who reported her. When she continues her tirade, Maruja reminds her that Sofi is in the next room and asks her to calm down, but Carlota continues to rant that Alicia wants to ruin her reputation and destroy her career (we can only hope!).

Yuri shows Julieta the storage room and tells her that the room is rarely used. Julieta then asks to see the service area, so Yuri takes her to Yaya’s room. When Yaya hears them coming, she scurries Cholo into her bathroom. Once there, Julieta suggests that they knock down the wall to make the kitchen bigger. She asks to see the restroom but Yaya tells her that she just sed it and Julieta would probably not like going in right now.

Karina goes to see Martin. When Martin asks why they still have them there, Karina doesn’t know and tells him that Sergio wants his head…and the general called Mujica though she isn’t sure what was said. When Karina tells him that she will make a few calls, Martin asks her not to call his father…he doesn’t know what he will his parents, Sofi or Alicia. This sets Karina off and she tells him it’s time he forget that woman since he has had nothing but problems since he started seeing her. Martin brusquely asks her to not continue.

Nicola and Vanessa continue to harass Ariana and warn her to keep her mouth closed or she will end up like the odd one.

Gonzalo tries to placate Lorena who asks why he didn’t think of asking her for help…he could stay there with her. Gonzalo argues that he isn’t staying with Fedora as a choice; his mother is having a rough time and he needs to be there for her. He thinks that moving in together should be a decision they make together and it should be because it is what they both want. Unconvinced, Lorena tells him that he knows where the door is.

Fedora and Alicia are in the kitchen when a very happy Eva arrives. Fedora thinks that she must have been with a man (as if anyone one would want her!), but Eva deflects and tells them she was looking for solutions because she will not be poor in her old age. Eva then turns on Alicia and berates her for looking so sad…she should forget about Martin Guerra. She quotes the great Maria Felix who said that a woman should only cry for man for 3 days; after that, she should dress up and go look for a rich man.

 

DEJAN – Ep. 63, Part 2

At the Carr-angst house, the new family is having dinner. Julieta tells Sergio that she wants to call a house designer so that changes can be made. When she suggests that the room of trebejos (games/toys) can be made into a wine room, Sergio thinkgs it’s a great idea. When she mentions the bonsais, Yuri tells her that those are hers so Julieta backs off. After Sergio tells his pedacito that her first appointment with the psychiatrist is tomorrow, Miranda refuses to go and storms off. Sergio tries to order her to go, but Julieta tells him to leave her alone and calm down, Sergio swears that he will straighten Miranda out.

Carlota calls Alicia and chides her about what she is doing; she didn’t think she would go that far. Aliciai has no idea what she is talking about, but Carlota continues to rant and doesn’t let Alicia get a word in. Before hanging up, Carlota tells Alicia that she is just going to sit and wait to see Alicia and Martin fail. After Alicia hangs up, Fedora admits that she was the one who filed the complaint.

Mujica watches Martin as he lays on the bench. Martin squirms around trying to get warm.

Yuri goes to see Cholo and tells him that she worries about her father since he is always so suspicious about everything…and Julieta wants to do some remodeling. Cholo tells her to calm down, they won’t find him and he should be free any day now since they already have the guys with the gun. Yuri tells him that it won’t be as soon as he thinks since they let the guys go.

Miranda calls Alicia who is very happy to hear from her. Miranda tells her that things are horrible at home…Julieta wants to make a lot of changes….she doesn’t know how long she will be able to put up with living there. Alicia advises her not to let Julieta cloud what is really important…Miranda’s peace and tranquility. It doesn’t matter if Julieta makes changes. When Alicia mentions the appointment, Miranda tells her that she doesn’t want to go; so Alicia convinces her that it is really important…and when she returns to school she will feel better. Miranda agrees to go. Alicia then asks for Yuri so Miranda tells her that is out collaborating with the witch. Miranda quickly cuts Alicia off since Culebra is calling.

The next morning---

Fedora thinks it is very strange that Martin has not called Alicia and wonders if something might have happened to him. Alicia worries that Martin could have been in an accident, so Fedora tells her to calm down since bad news always travels fast.

Julieta gives Mabel a tour of the house. Mabel is very impressed. Julieta then tells her that her favorite news writer is in jail and proceeds to tell her what Martin did.

Luna wants to go with Marcela to go see Alicia but Marcela reminds her that she needs to go to school.

Yuri goes in to see Sergio since she can’t stop thinking about Martin Guerra; what he is doing is very unfair. Instead of trying to destroy Martin, he should concentrate on the foundation since the director was at the law office and met with Jorge. She doesn’t know why, but it has to be serious.

Lucas introduces his mother to Meche. Afterwards, he continues to show her around ad describes all the changes he wants to make.

 

DEJAN – Ep. 63, Part 3

Sergio calls Moises and wants him to find out what Lucas is up to since he is in charge of the foundation and doesn’t trust him. Later, Jorge tells Moises what the case is about. When Moises tells them that Lucas is not to be trusted, he is told of the DNA test. Moises insists that Lucas is up to something and taking his case would be a conflict of interest since Yuri works there. Lady lawyer argues that Lucas has every right to seek their services…and this case would bring them them much publicity.


Facundo and Maruja try to go see Martin, but Mujica doesn’t let them. When they plead for just five minutes, Mujica agrees to give them five minutes each.

Sofi and Carlota wait for Martin to pick up Sofi. Sofi worries but Carlota thinks that he probably went out partying with the señora and he forgot. Carlota then gets a call from Maruja who tells her about Martin being in jail. Carlota asks a multitude of questions but Maruja doesn’t know very much. Sofi asks to go see her father…and refuses to go anywhere until she sees him.

Facundo goes in to see Martin who explains that after he heard what that JERK did, he went crazy. Facundo thinks that he will need a good lawyer, but Martin hopes the attorney isn’t too expensive because he doesn’t have money.

Marcela is now with Alicia. Eva enters so Alicia introduces Marcela as her friend. When Rud-eva recognizes Marcela as the woman looking for work as a housekeeper, Alicia tells her that she is right but Marcela is still her friend. After Eva leaves, Gonzo enters and asks Marcela about the cake she made. After Marcela lists the ingredients, Fedora comments that they can make lots of cakes together.

Sergio introduces the psychiatrist to Miranda. Miranda tries to complain but Sergio ignores her and leaves. The psychiatrist knows that Miranda must be furious and hopes that they can talk.

Maruja takes her turn to see Martin only to chide him for what he did. When Maruja attacks Alicia, Martin defends Alicia and tells her that Sergio did horrible things to her. The only things he did was defend the woman he loves.

Yuri goes to see Alicia. After they chat about the family, Yuri tells her that Martin is in jail…and her father is furious because he thinks Alicia threw out his award…he is obsessed with that and also wants to destroy Martin. Alicia wants to go see Martin, so Yuri tells her that he is not being allowed visitors….only his parents were allowed to see him.

At school, Ariana tries to sneak away when she bumps into Diego who asks her what she is doing with Nicole. Ariana admits that Nicola and Vanessa are threatening her…they are dangerous. When he asks for specifics, Ariana is too scared…Diego doesn’t know what they are capable of doing…and the person who will suffer the consequences is her and that is not cool.


 

DEJAN – Ep. 63, Part 4

The psychiatrist talks to Miranda and tells her that she doesn’t have to deal with her ghosts alone. Miranda tells him that they aren’t ghosts, they are demons. When he asks why she took the pills, Miranda remains silent so he wonders if she was just trying to feel better. When he asks what is the primary thing that she doesn’t want to deal with, Miranda replies that she can’t deal with being odd. She can’t control anything…her mother is not with her and now she has to put up with the stepmother…and at school everyone hates her…everyone is bad. The psych tells her that the world is how she sees things…she should consider looking at things in a different way.

Lucas arrives at his office to find Sergio sitting at his desk.

After Gonzo calls Lorena, he goes for his run…as Samuel follows. (Oh Noes!!)

Yuri shows up at Martin’s cell and tells him that she will be his attorney. Her client hired her…Alicia. And they will do everything they can to get him out of there. Martin smiles wide.

Julieta is going through the house telling Yaya what needs to be thrown out. Julieta then recalls a vintage lamp that she saw in the storage room. Yaya tries to stop her but Julieta is too fast. When she opens the door, she sees something move. After she enters and finds Cholo crouched in the corner, he slowly stands up and they remain face to face!!! Ta-Ta-Ta-TUM!!

And so the episode ends!!

RgvChick, Thanks for your excellent recap. “Carr-angst house” was the best. The ending clearly was a “Ta-Ta-Ta-TUM!!

So glad Diego knows that Nicole and her minion are threatening Ariana. We also found out they were 15.

Looks like Julieta isn’t going to be eating much. Picky picky.

Could someone wipe that smirk off of Mujica’s face?

Yay! Maybe Yuri has made up for her prior stupidity by representing Martín.

What will YaYa tell Julieta about Cholo? Cholo should have bern staying in Yuri’s room. Nobody but Yuri or Yaya would have gone there.

Por Fin Yuri chose something useful and decided to defend her mother. I don't have any idea what will happen with Cholo or Juileta, but Julieta is stupid so I am not even worried about that, I am just relieved Yuri finally made one good decision.

I am also double relived that Miranda's doctor sounds like he knows what he is talking about I was so worried he would just be some hack but he sounded like the real deal and hopefully he will make an impact.

The problem now is that while Yuri has made one right decision, Juleech finding Cholo is going to erase that several times over at this stage. She is probably at a point where she wouldn't take payment from Martin but hiding Cholo could make her lose her license. And would SerJerk care about that? Only because it hurts his image.

I wasn't happy to see Eva finally win money, but how much does anyone want to bet that she will keep it all to herself and do nothing for her family? How much money could that be? Well, since I still want to see Eva scrubbing office building toilets at midnight that doesn't exclude the possibility of her running into a gigolo who will steal that money first. That would be very fitting, as the fate she had wished on Alicia would be hers.

Miranda's shrink? I don't know. If the people in one's environment are like Nicole and Vanessa [Is that name always or overwhelmingly given to nasty girls?] how can Miranda see the world differently? I had hoped that Miranda would get a female shrink who would understand this situation better.

BTW, that hairstyle is odd and does nothing for her. She is a pretty girl.

I hope Diego takes action and gets Nicole expelled. That will bring all the crap she poured on Miranda down on herself. She also needs to do time in juvie for distributing the video.

Marcela could become a pastry chef, too. Maybe Gonzalo can open a cool cafe in the "X Months Later" and have a place that will attract elite or artistic customers.

That is, if Samuel doesn't kill him first. It now looks like he will stake out the house and wait until Fedora walks out to get her.... after possibly killing Gonzalo and Alicia. That looks like his plan. I hope the car engine blows up first, but I would prefer to see Samuel in that cell that Martin is in now.

I have no doubt that Cholo will be arrested. The question is whether this could be accomplished without the gutter press finding out. This could lead to his death because

Prediction: Juleech will call SerJerk who will call Mujia, who will than get there as fast as possible. If the sirens are blaring this could lead to a chase that will distract the police from any pursuit of Samuel. If he goes there personally without sirens he would arrest Cholo, possibly killing him once away from the house and claiming it happened while resisting arrest.

Juleech could be the catalyst for SerJerk's downfall, but Lucas has an ace on the table. He has a DNA test result that cannot be disputed. That is a scandal in the making. Moises may not want to touch this but since Lucas has a legal right to the Carranza name, he can't be stopped from claiming it. Yuri would not side with Moises on this anymore because SerJerk has put the family through too much hell to the point of obstruction of justice.

The scandal could be enough for a Fatal cardiac event. There are too many episodes left to finish him off in this manner right now but too many people know now.

Urban, I was surprised Eva had her little windfall. Does anyone know how much she won???

So, Samuel has crawled out of the sewer and Cholo, the cat, is now out of the bag.

I am fervently hoping Samuel’s story ends with him in jail and yes, or worse.

What will Julieta do??? If she ends up calming down, I can see her relishing the chance to use this to her advantage such as holding it over Yuri’s head or interviewing the “criminal” on the run. Pure speculation coming from her unempathetic and self serving point of view.

If I were threatened with losing my professional license, I might have tried more cream than vinegar when confronting my “accuser”. I’m smiling as I think Fedora would be immune.

“After Marcela lists the ingredients, Fedora comments that they can make lots of cakes together”. Hmmm, a foreshadowing?

“The psych tells her that the world is how she sees things…she should consider looking at things in a different way”. I’ll be interested to see how the doc spins how you look at abusers who are torturing you differently.

Karmageddon Comment

Urban, you made many excellent observations but I thought Carlota's weakness that she "Never got therapy after her divorce, so never got over it" was especially perfect.

I could easily wish horrible endings for most in Tu Amor but this is not that TN by any stretch of the imagination.

Sergio is undisputedly despicable. However, there are others who reside in a lower level of Hades: Mujica and El Toro. It is especially egregious for those who are tasked with defending and protecting to violate those principals. Both deserve jail with no chance of seeing the light of day.

I think Sergio and Eva should be hit where it would hurt them the most: their wallets :). Sergio, disgraced with no political power or influence, forced to take what he considers a menial job. Julieta, professionally discredited and unable to lure any male into her web.

I wish Martin and Alicia happiness together (as that is what they want). I wish the same for Cholo and Yuri (after he is vindicated of course).

Miranda should be free of bullying. Carlota needs to find the wisdom to realize what she did and how wrong she was. The consequence is that she must start over in another profession.

Gonzalo needs to continue to grow up. I hope the writers do not pair him with Lorena at the end. Their romance really is not meant to be.

That Rebeca comes as peacefully to an end as possible. I have something speculative about Fabian but I'll save it for later.

Thriving careers for Karina and Gutirrez and perhaps something personal together?

Happiness for Fedora and peace for Simon's soul. Continuing sobriety for Facundo.

Juleech could also get fed up with SerJerk: Age gaps like this in relationships can work but this one has too many landmines in it. Since he has a chronic medical condition that she seems to have no interest in accommodating he could become careless. The salt issue in last night's episode wasn't the first time this came up. Alicia cooked very low sodium to accommodate this and Juleech has no interest in cooking. If she tries to get rid of Yaya because she cooks like Alicia this is a stress factor compounding what Juleech is trying to do to the house.

If Juleech does get her own show the timing could be way off and not in her favor. If there is a scandal just before the debut ratings will be in the toilet. SerJerk will also likely have a conniption over her getting more total airtime than he gets. I can see him suffering impotence at that stage. Of our All About Evetheory is on the money she will drop him like a hot potato before scandal hits her.

I reiterate my wish for her to lose her beauty so she can't trade off it anymore.

Carloca's own crazy just hung her. Fedora said it perfectly when she pointed out that anyone who did what she did is a danger to her patients. If Carloca goes off the rails at her hearing she's dead in the water and Sofie lives with her grandparents Until Martin is freed and back in action.

Finally, I think SerJerk's downfall will be the result of everything that's happened in this episode. There is finally something he can be arrested and prosecuted for. The scandal will destroy him after all the stresses brought on by Juleech, everything he himself destroyed in his own family, and Lucas assuming the rights to his name.

Mujica is a domino to fall from Martin's arrest and the abuse that followed. He will drag El Toro with him when Simon's murder is solved.

And a very special thank you to Jarifa for her excellent recap for Thursday's sordid, painfully frustrating episode...if I would have had to do that recap, my keyboard would have been in pieces with all the stabbing at the keys. I bow to you, courageous Jarifa!

Yay! for Yuri taking on Martin's case...that was totally out of left field but finally, Yuri is starting to see SerJerk for who he really is. But, Urban, good point that she may lose her license.

Jarifa and Diana, I would really enjoy seeing someone smack that smirk off of Mujica's ugly face.

I don't think Yaya has any choice but to try to explain Cholo's presence. If Julieta is true to form, I think Diana is right--she'll try to get an interview with Cholo before turning him in.

Darcy, "Miranda's doctor sounds like he knows what he is talking about" Totally agree! I was impressed with how he was able to get Miranda to open up...something I did not expect to happen so quickly.

Urban, I'll have to think some more about Karma for all these egotistical ogres and leeches, but I do like some of your and Diana's ideas :-)

UA - You make a good point about Miranda's shrink, but I am still optimistic. He seemed to really be listening to her and connecting. I was afraid he would just be some pompous jackass (like papa) who would talk at her instead of to her. I agree that simply changing the way you look at bullies isn't THE answer, but I didn't get the impression that the doc was focused on the bullying. Miranda was describing the way she sees herself and the struggle she has with her own self, she said her biggest problem was herself - and I think that's what he was focusing on - at least I hope. Nicole and Vanessa definitely need to be dealt with and not just seen in a different way, but I don't think just dealing with them would cure Miranda. She has internalized way too much. Her negative self-talk, cutting/scratching, attempted suicide, complete lack of self-love, etc etc etc. I agree with the doc, she needs to see life differently, she needs coping skills, she needs to look in the mirror and see there is no 'rara' there.

I doubt Eva won much money. I am sad to say I know a few things about gamblers....to a gambler, especially one on a losing streak any win could feel like salvation. The machine wasn't blinking and going off like crazy and people were not gathering around looking and celebrating - it didn't look like a huge win. She probably just won a few hundred dollars, maybe a thousand. And she won't keep it or spend it, or share it; she will gamble it tomorrow and lose.

Diana - I agree 100%. Just show Julieta how she can use it to her advantage and she will calm down and not call the cops. Julieta is a truly reprehensible character but I am a fan of Scarlet Gruber's performance, impressive!
 

TU AMOR ep 94 part 1

Consuelo slaps Leonardo and asks him how he could be so low as to sleep with Yolanda. She goes to the workroom and tells all the employees how Yolanda stole her designs. She warns them that it could happen to them too. Security arrives and escorts her out. The time has come to finish with Yolanda Pratas, says Uriel to himself. Leonardo returns to Yolanda's office and grabs her by the throat. Get away from me, she shouts, pushing him away. And never touch me again. You're a dreamer. Ok, they spent the night together in the cab, he says, but that doesn't mean they were... Hector shows up to explain, and Helena slaps him. She says she doesn't want to see his idiot face. Nothing happened, Hector says. I don't lie. Sit down and shut up, says Horacio. Tell me everything that happened and don't leave anything out. What happened? We were talking..., says Hector.

We have to convince the paparazzi to give us the video, Beba tells Uriel in one of the offices. It's the only way to put Yolanda in her place. He's asking too much money, Uriel says, but I have an idea, although it's risky. We have to do it, says Beba. Patricia comes in and looks at them suspiciously. She tells them they can go. Yolanda wants everyone to conserve their energy so they're ready for fashion week in Milan.

Yolanda calls Guillermo and tells him she needs to see him today. Tonight would be even better. Guillermo tells her it's not a good time. He's busy and asks her not to call him anymore. Ok, she says, hanging up, if that's the way you want it. Your sister will face what she did to me. Because of her you chose Estela instead of staying with me. I'm not going to rest until I see her crying for having lost what she most loves. She gets a call. I'll see you right away in my new taller, she says.

For some inexplicable reason, Claudio goes to Rosa Maria and tells her about the drug video. He also explains his plan not to say anything and try to get rehired by Guillermo. He's sure Patricia is up to something. He also wants to pursue the matter of Ricardo putting money in Valentina's name. Be careful, says RM, because at some point you may have to make a difficult decision and you might not be as prepared as you think.

Camila finds her mother crying at home. Consuelo says her heart is broken because Leonardo, among other things, caused Helena's downfall. All this time he was Yolanda's accomplice. I love my son, she says, but it turns out that he's a monster. Is it possible that he had something to do with the video that Beba recorded?, Camila asks. It really hurt me. Whatever you do though, says Cami, don't tell Hector or Horacio, and certainly not Helena. No, Consuelo says, I can't allow my son to end up in prison. I can't say anything until I talk to Leonardo. What's he done now?, Hector asks, entering the room. He's the worst person that I know. I'm telling the truth but you feel sorry for him. He's capable of things you can't imagine. If he's capable of abandoning... Say it, says Consuelo, capable of abandoning who? Of abandoning you, he lies, and all of us. He treats you with contempt. It hurts me because you're my mother and I love you. I've really tried to give you my love but you don't value it. I gave up all my dreams. I've been a cabbie, a mechanic, I did it for all of you. You know why? Because you deserved it. You, Camila, and my daughter deserved it. But you're always going to agree with Leonardo. It's not right. Where are you going?, Connie asks. I can't stay here, he says. I love you but you and I don't think the same. I'm having problems with Helena and I don't feel comfortable here. Think of Mina, Camila pleads. I am thinking of her. That's why I'm going to get a place and take her to live with me. Please don't go, his mother and sister beg. I'm really sorry, he says, leaving them in tears.

She says she won't confront Nora for now and asks Helena how she is doing. Now I know how you felt when you saw Claudio in bed with Nora, Helena says. Hector spent the night in a cab with Luna. Talk to him, Valentina advises. It could all be a mistake. What's he going to say?, Helena asks. That he slept with the first person that crossed his path out of spite? I know you're angry, says Valentina, but with time you'll see things differently. You're speaking to me as if you were Majo, Helena says. I'm going to see her now, do you want to come? Yes, let's go, and no more tears, says Val.

Yolanda must have hired a private detective because a man has brought photos to her office. Here's the man that broke Sara Eva's leg and robbed the cab stand, he says, handing her a picture of Regino and Leonardo. He was hired by Leonardo. I need to speak to him, says Yolanda. I have a job for him. Very well, says the detective. And apparently Uriel is very interested in getting the video back that your assistant recorded. He shows her a picture of the paparazzi writting down a price for him. Very well, Yolanda says, you know what you have to do.

Ricardo walks with David and says he couldn't believe Adelaida had a son. Life gives us pleasing surprises sometimes, David says. And what was so pleasing for you about this surprise?, Ricardo asks. Are you here for the money that Adelaida could inherit? Contrary to what you think, says David, I don't need money. Finding my mother is the best gift that life has given me.

Claudio and Nora meet Guillermo in his office. She asks for forgiveness. We did it for love, she says. You can't leave the man I love without a job. Is what my daughter says true?, he asks Claudio. Of course father, says Nora, answering for him. After Claudio is asked to wait outside, Nora tells her father that she wants to marry him. He has her send Claudio in and tells him to sit down. He says his heart is failing and without a donor he'll die. You can't lose faith in God, says Claudio. I lost that a long time ago, Guillermo says. I don't pray or talk to him like everyone, and I know I'm living the punishment that I deserve. I don't want to talk about that though. I want you to run my company but there is a very important condition. I want you to marry Nora. Claudio politely declines. After what happened, Guillermo says, if you don't marry Nora I'll have to withdraw my support of the orphanage. Are you blackmailing me?, Claudio asks. If you withdraw your support they'll have to close and Carlitos won't get his treatments. Now you're the one blackmailing me, Guillermo says, let's stop the games. I want my daughter happy and the best way for that is for you to marry her. You decide. I'm sorry, says Claudio, but I can't accept the position of running your company or marrying Nora.

Leonardo goes to Patricia's house to tell her about what happened with Yolanda. Pat's not very sympathetic. Play with fire, she says, sooner or later you get burned. Do me a favor, he asks, don't say anything to Hector until I can clear things up with my mom. You've never cared what your mother thinks of you, says Pat. I know, he says, but if I can't go home I can't get close to Helena. Don't worry, she always believes everything I tell her.

My friend, says Helena walking toward Majo and taking her arm. You don't know how much I miss you. She gasps as Majo slowly opens her eyes. She turns toward Valentina to determine if she sees it too. It's hard to tell if Majo is really awake and aware of her surroundings.

Juleech interviewing Cholo... possible if she doesn't consider the consequences. One thing is certain and that is that she won't care about SerJerk's reaction. She is so determined to erase his previous life that destroying Yuri's career wouldn't make her lose any of her beauty sleep. There could be consequences for herself and that is all she cares about. She is just as big a narcissist as SerJerk.

Eva could definitely gamble away that win. Can't wait.

Still thinking about Karma myself and will post more on that later, but one thing that occurs to me - if Julieta does call the cops, let it make the news that Cholo got caught hiding out in Sergio Caranza's house!!! Huge scandal! And it is his house now since Alicia was evicted. Sergio loses all credibility and position and is publically ruined for harboring a fugitive......all the horrible stuff he has done and he gets brought down by something he didn't do??? That would be awesome Karma! :)

My heart was in my throat when I read “Your sister will face what she did to me. Because of her you chose Estela instead of staying with me. I'm not going to rest until I see her crying for having lost what she most loves”. Is there any conceivable way Yolanda knew of David’s existence?? Please reassure me that David is not an imposter???

I did not understand why Hector was so devastated when speaking with Consuelo but understand now thanks to you Joel. How frustrating that he did not sit down so they could talk, but rather took this particular moment to feel irreparably wounded. And another clue that Mina might not be his by birth.

Excellent recap..but just sayin Martin did bring a lot of this down on himself
I mean he knows serj is a pig. Why couldn't they just keep it on the down low until she was divorced. Regarding luis fathers must acknowledge chilren and this children get an equal share in inheritance. I don't know about Mex but in america carlota would lose her license. Yuri also would be disbarred. I just read the Lincoln lawyer series. Miranda was messed up from the very beginning. Also how did they miss her being a cutter when she was in the hospital.

Alicia is divorced. She and Martin didn't tango until after the divorce was final. The photo of them kissing wasn't even taken until after the divorce was final; SerJerk's own lawyer pointed that out to him. The problem is that he was willing to cater to this creep about Miranda's custody because he was being paid the big pesos.

What I would love to see is the reading of SerJerk's will, which might be careless enough to read "All my assets are to to be divided equally among my children" without naming them. Nothing was said about his will during the divorce and any good lawyer worth his fee would remind a client that examining and possibly changing the will is essential.

TU AMOR. Another marvelous recap, JoelD! I'm not even going to ask why the change in order--I know this site can be a little glitchy at times. Yolanda's cruelty knows no limits, but Leo certainly has it coming. Otoh, he could be a very dangerous enemy. Putting off confronting Nora for drugging Claudio has mixed results. It will help him and Val find out more about what nefarious things she (and others) are up to, but it's also the cause of Claudio's problems with Guillermo. Yep, that was a pretty flimsy place for Enrique to hide all that money. I'm thinking a night janitor could be getting very wealthy. Clever of you to spot the continuity problem in Yolanda's dresses, JoelD! Helena should know by now to be more trusting of Hector. Val gives her good advice; after all, she herself has just learned that things aren't always what they seem. Leo is bad, but I don't think he had anything to do with Beba's video, iirc. If Hector and Mina move out, he's giving up a lot of very handy childcare. I think we've seen Yolanda's detective once before. Both Nora and Ricardo reveal their creepy selfish characters by thinking that David is only out for Adelaida's money. It was rotten of Guillermo to threaten to withdraw his support for the orphanage--not good karma if you're hoping for a transplantable heart to be available.

"Helena should know by now to be more trusting of Hector". I completely agree. But it was hard to watch the smile from her face fade as she walked up to the cab. I have to give her credit as most would have come totally unglued to what has befallen her already.

I hope Hector reconsiders. He can hardly eke out an existence now with likely free (or close to it) room and board.

Darcy, somehow I missed your post before.

That would be awesome, indeed. Alicia never knew about Cholo being in the house but good luck to her trying to explain that. It would be the ultimate irony if SerJerk has to take the blame. In fact, what would be appropriate since he tried laying every milligram of blame on Alicia all this time.

To another point I also want to see an easy and peaceful end for Rebecca. She seems to be going downhill fast. I have no experience of Alzheimer's and I fear it greatly for myself, but she has Fabian, a model husband. It's so bad right now that she is slipping away while Fedora is tempting fate and could end up in hospital or worse. Alicia could lose both best friends before the finale. I hope Fedora has made out her will and leaves the house to Alicia, as she appears to not have any relatives.

Sergio Carranza – Big fall from grace. I really like the idea of his downfall coming from an unexpected source. If it's not going to be for harboring Cholo maybe everything Lucas has done somehow all traces back to Sergio instead of him. The great Sergio Carranza embezzling money from the very foundation he started to supposedly help people. The public turns on him, he loses whatever he has that hasn’t been stolen or embezzled by Lucas. Alicia gets the house, custody of Miranda, and what is left of his money and Sergio goes to jail for fraud and other crimes. Julieta leaves him of course and his daughters lose all respect for him.

Julieta Lugo – She’s the one I’d like to see with a menial job. After all the fallout from the scandal with Sergio, she is disgraced. Her name is like a joke in the news industry and she can’t get a job anywhere. Not even Mabel will hire her. At the same time, the new sensation at the news channel is Chichquis who it turns out is an amazing journalist who has simply always been held back by Julieta. She gets her big break and just when Julieta is at her lowest Chichquis takes pity on her and gives her a job – as her assistant!

Eva de Montiel – Goes to jail for stealing from Sergio to fund her gambling. I like other’s ideas about her having to get a menial job but I just don’t think she would do it. She would just latch on to Alicia, or one of her grandkids and manipulate the family and they would continue to support her. She won’t even help with the preparation of dinner, she isn’t going to get a menial job. I would love to see her in an orange jumpsuit getting pushed around by the other inmates!!

Carlota Vegas – I wouldn’t necessarily ruin Carlota. Yes, what she did was wrong and yes her attitude continues to be nasty but she is the only baddie in the whole show who actually acknowledged her responsibility for her own choices. Her taking responsibility is a little paled by her continued aggression towards Alicia and her playing the victim when she was reported. She needs to use her license as a natural consequence of what she has done; but, and especially for Sofia’s sake, I would like to see her accept that, get that much-needed therapy, learn to accept Martin and Alicia, and live in peace with everyone.

El Toro – Revealed as the murder of Martin’s brother and sentenced to life in prison where he spends his time trying to mentor the younger men who are in for lesser offenses and convince them to reform and save their own lives and not end up like him.

Samuel Fonseca – needs to die. It looks like he did last night! I hope he is dead this time. Shot by Karina, yes!! I was yelling at them to shot him from the moment they pulled up. I thought Gutierrez should have done it a lot sooner he seemed to have a clear shot, but at least Karina did it!


 

Dejan and K continued.

Alberto Mujica – Arrested by Karina! I want to see her be the one to bring him down, although I still have a suspicion the Gutierrez is up to more than we think he is. Mujica goes to jail and experiences everything that comes with being an ex-policia and an inmate.

Mabel Rangel – I don’t think she belongs on the list. Yeah, she’s been Julieta’s buddy but throughout most of this, it’s felt more like she was humoring Julieta than actually agreeing with or helping her. She needs better taste in friends but even with her crush on Martin she hasn’t actually acted on it. Even last night at the station, she was the only one who didn’t give Alicia crap and actually spoke to her like a person. She even helped her to see Martin because she knew that’s what he would want. I would just have her impacted by Julieta’s downfall and learn from it – like down the road she’s always warning young reporters about getting carried away by ambition telling the Julieta Lugo cautionary tale. I would have her succeed in her career and find a nice normal guy with no kind of power or position or anything and just live a low-key but happy life. Maybe she could be the match for Gutierrez since I see zero chemistry or interest between him and Karina.

Nicole – this is the hardest one for me because she is a child. 15 years old. She needs to face the consequences for her actions no doubt, and she may very well continue down the road she’s going on and be much worse in 10 years – but I just have the hardest time condemning children…….Who knows, maybe if someone got to the root of what makes her so mean and she got some big doses of humble pie, she might change her ways. But she does need consequences, all of her deeds should come to light and she should have to take responsibility and whatever punishment.

TU AMOR ep 95 part 1

Helena talks to Majo as Valentina runs for help. Majo, I'm here, she says. You don't know how much I've missed you. It's so good that you're awake. Ma-Ma-Ma-Majo, wake up, Helena pleads as Majo closes her eyes again. I need to check her signs, says the nurse. Rosa Maria shows up on the run. I swear she opened her eyes, Helena says. That's a sign she's going to be better, right?, Valentina asks. I'm really sorry, says Rosa Maria, but Majo is still unconcious.

Claudio apologizes for the mistake, but insists he can't marry Nora. I can't marry a woman that I don't love, he says. You should have thought about that before having relations with her, says Guillermo. I was hoping you would answer like a gentleman. I'm going to have to withdraw my support for the orphanage. It's your money and your decision, says Claudio, but I think it would be very low of you to hurt those poor kids. They had nothing to do with this problem. Excuse me. Papa, says Nora hugging Guillermo, I don't want to lose Claudio. I love him.

I told you that you can vent, Patricia tells Hector at her apartment. I'm here. I'm all ears. Tell me. I had a fight with my mother because of Leonardo, he says. And Helena saw me with Luna in the cab. She's nice, says Patricia, and she's your life long friend, right? Why would that bother Helena? You work with her. We weren't working at the time, Hector says. We spent the night together and were asleep. That seems fine to me, says Pat, although I would have gladly had you stay with me. We're friends. You could stay here in the guest room if you want, no problem. She brings him some snacks and pours him a wine.

David is talking to Ricardo in Guillermo's yard. You had an accident too, he says. When you're in combat and see friends die you realize that being able to get up each day is a miracle. It's a new opportunity. But it's not easy, says Ricardo. No, David responds, but since my accident I've had to continue pursuing what I always wanted, and believe me, it wasn't money. It won't buy love and much less, dignity. Money can change a person for good or bad. It empowers the wicked and corrupts the weak. Has money ever transformed you?

Hector asks for a soft drink and Patricia laughs because he uses the slang "Chesco" instead of "Refresco". She brings him one with the lid on so at least we know it's not drugged. Helena is never going to forgive me, Hector says. You should give her some space, says Pat. You know that Mina is welcome here. Thanks, but I can't, says Hector. I have to go because my cab broke down. If it's expensive I could help you, she says. We're friends Hector, and friends help each other. Thanks, but I'll return the console and get the money to fix the cab. I'll see you later. Someday, says Pat after he leaves, you'll fall in love with me. I know it.

My whole life was transformed by my accident, Ricardo tells David. Well, you can try to build your future or stay stuck in the past, David advises. I recommend the first. Adelaida invites David to come with her to learn about Guillermo's business. It's always good to learn something new, he says. It's been a pleasure talking to you, Ricardo.

Nora tells her father that she's very sad. He tells her to have a little pride. She can't stoop to begging Claudio. She's a Vargas and they don't do that. Enrique interrupts their conversation. Claudio recommends that you decide whether to sell the ranch or not soon, he says. Dad, says Nora, with everything happening now, losing the ranch would be the last straw. She leaves. Check what formalities are required to withdraw support for Hope Orphanage, Guillermo orders Enrique.

Majo please, open your eyes again, Helena pleads. I know you can do it. Rosa Maria checked her, says Valentina. She's still unconscious but that doesn't mean we lose hope. I promise that we're doing everything possible to get Majo well, says RM. Visiting hours are over but you can come back later. No, Helena says. I'm not moving. Majo could wake up at any moment. Later, in the cafeteria, Valentina tries to encourage her. She says she'll always be there to support her. She and Helena agree it would be great if they were sisters. They check TikTok again and see that many comments are requests to buy Valentina's clothing. Helena tells the waiter they're ready for desert.

Hector shows up at Guillermo's house. Oh, it's the cabbie, Ricardo says. We have a matter pending and we're going to take care of it now, Hector says. Fine, says Ricardo, but first lower your tone two notches. I came to demand that you leave my sister alone, says Hector. I know you're cheating on Valentina. Well, I'm going to demand that you leave my sister Patricia alone, Ricardo counters. If you mess with my sister, I'll bust your teeth, Hector threatens. You're threatening me, Ricardo laughs. You be careful, says Hector giving him a shove. Goodbye caveman, says Ricardo.

Consuelo is cleaning up her kitchen and can't calm down. I can't stop thinking about Yolanda and Leonardo, she says. Well, speaking of the king of Rome, says Cami as Leo shows up. I can't believe you would do so many things behind our backs, Consuelo tells her son. And I can't believe you hid from us who you really are, says Leo. Don't talk to mother like that, says Camila, If she didn't tell us it's because she loves us. You better tell us why you betrayed us by helping Yolanda Pratas. Calm down, Leo says. Everything, absolutely everything Yolanda said is a lie. Everything?, Connie asks, because I saw the photos and you were kissing her. Admit that you were her lover. It's obvious those photos were altered with Photoshop, Leo says. They did it with the video right?, he asks Camila. Yes or no? Camila, look at my eyes, I could never hurt you. What kind of person do you think I am? You've known Yolanda a long time mother. You should realize she's crazy. I'm going to tell you something. The person behind all of Helena's tragedies is Majo. What?, says Cami.

Patricia interrupts Enrique talking to Lizia in his office. He asks her to leave Pat and him alone. How's it going with Guillermo's ranch, Pat asks. Is it ours yet? No, says Enrique, and it's getting more complicated. I don't know if I can sell it. That's incredible, says Pat grabbing him, with all your intelligence. Then you can forget about marrying me. You're going to marry me with or without the ranch, Enrique says. Guillermo will be very interested to know that Valentina is his daughter and you're using her and Nora. Do it, says Pat. He'll also find out about all the money you stole from him. You better be careful. You'll end up with nothing and you'll lose me too. Lizia watches as she kisses him.
 

TU AMOR ep 95 part 3

I'm sorry but I don't believe you, Camila tells her brother. I don't believe Majo is capable of betraying Helena. Swear you're not lying. We're your family and you have to be honest. Hector shows up and asks Leonardo what he's done now. He doesn't want him to give gifts to his daughter. Consuelo asks them not to fight but Hector says he just came for his things.

Claudio goes to talk to Salvador, the owner of the bar. Salvador says he knows he came to cause problems. You lied to me when you said you wanted to look at the security videos, he says. Who sent you? No one, says Claudio, but there are some irregularities with the payment of your employees. Sometimes you don't pay them overtime. If they don't like it I can hire someone else for less pay, says Salvador. If you don't comply with the law, says Claudio, we may have to see a judge. I have a contract here that is fair to all parties. OK, I'll sign it, says Salvador.

Lucha discovers Nora watching a novela on an ipad in her room. She tries to be friendly but Nora sends her away. She was watching a scene of a burning house which has given her an idea. If this house burned down, she thinks, the insurance would pay for it obviously. That's what it's for. But I can't do that to Guillermo. I also don't want to lose my ranch. I have to be the owner again. I want to leave behind all the misery I've lived.

Cibernetico discovers that Enrique has emptied all of his accounts. He's unable to determine where he moved it. I can't go back to jail, Regino says. We have to take off and to do it we need money. What are you going to do?, Cibernetico asks his father when he sees him pull out his knife. I'm going to settle my accounts with Horacio and Hector, he says. We can't take off without avenging your brother's death.

Hello Nora, says Yolanda having a drink at her taller. I gave everyone the day off. Why are you so happy?, asks Nora. Because I just told Consuelo who helped me ruin silly Helena's life. The poor thing was surprised to find out it was her little son Leonardo. Even more fun was when she found out that her little angel was my lover. Why are you so surprised? Don't tell me you were involved with him too. We're both intelligent, says Nora, we should work together. I could be the best model you ever had and I could help you get everything you want. Together we would have a lot of power. Power, my dear, is obtained by sacrificing many things, Yolanda says. Starting with your ethics and your loyalty. Get ready, because no one is going to stop us. We'll have a toast. Come to my office.

Uriel is having a drink with the paparazzi at a garden cafe. I told you I can't lower the price for Camila's video, the photographer says. It's for a good cause, says Uriel. In this business you don't run risks for good causes, the paparazzi says, you do it for money. If you don't have the money, maybe you could do me a little favor. (Yolanda's detective is watching them and taking pictures.) The paparazzi has an issue with Hector. He's the one that beat him up for taking pictures of Camila even though the world thinks Leonardo did it. I want him to suffer like I did. If you succeed, I'll give you a very good price for the video.
 

TU AMOR ep 95 part 4

Helena brings Valentina to Horacio's booth to make him a proposal. She shows him the TikTiok video. Why are you wasting my time with a video of your friend dancing?, he asks. Look how many people have viewed it, Helena says. Big deal, says Horacio, 2M - 2 mujeres. No, not two women, two MILLION people, she says. What? Yes, says Helena, and many of them want to buy Valentina's clothes. We could start by selling them here. I love her like a daughter, says Horacio, but I'm mad at her. She abandoned my son. Helena reminds him that business is business and he could make a lot of money. OK, he says, as Valentina hugs him.

Claudio goes to Rosa Maria's office to tell her about Guillermo pressuring him to marry Nora and withholding support for the orphanage. She advises him to tell Valentina. After all, she knows her sister better than anyone. She can't speak to Guillermo about it because the last time she tried he got angry. Rosa Maria doesn't realize that Yolanda has told Nora to get her away from Guillermo.

Can you hear me?, a nurse asks Majo when she opens her eyes again. She sends someone for Rosa Maria. Run!, she says.

Patricia shows up to Yolanda's taller and agrees to team up with Yolanda and Nora against Consuelo, Helena, and Valentina. They raise their glasses to celebrate like Charlies Angels.

Claudio goes to see Valentina and preps her for some bad news. Guillermo is going to withhold his support from the orphanage if he doesn't do what he asks. But he can't do that, says Val, now that Carlitos is so sick. What did don Guillermo ask you to do? What's wrong? He asked me to marry Nora, says Claudio.

Any infinitesimal step forward by the good folks are immediately erased by the villains fast forwarding.

So Guillermo is going to pull funding from the orphanage. Just another reason he turns my stomach.

“The person behind all of Helena's tragedies is Majo”. Absurdity in spades. If Consuelo discards what she saw, heard and felt at Yolanda’s, all hope has dissipated for her. She must set aside the love she felt (past tense) and remain resolute to the evilness of her son.

So, Satan’s sisters – Yolanda, Patricia and Nora have aligned. I am a tad bit surprised Nora has shed her last tiny shred of humanity. She deserves whatever befalls her.

“You could stay here in the guest room if you want, no problem”. We don’t in fact know where Hector is headed, do we?? I hope he has the good sense to sleep on the street before he chooses to go to Patricia’s. It appears his life is in imminent danger as well.

Yolanda is aware Uriel is betraying her. Does she know he and Beba are in an alliance?? Someone from her inner circle has to help bring about her downfall. It is Beba that has the hard evidence.

TU AMOR. Another superb recap, JoelD. I don't know how you do it day after day. Regarding Guillermo's threat to cut off funds to the orphanage and Nina's comments about his heart: sometimes if you look at his face from exactly the right angle, he does look a bit like the Grinch. And Nora is ever more despicable--her lie is helping to cause the cut-off of orphanage funds. David is so wise! Good comment on Hector's refresco not being drugged, JoelD. I too had thought Patricia might do that. David is an industrial engineer. I wonder if he could have some advice for Guillermo's business. Once again, dramatic irony. Val and Helena say they are like sisters--and they are sisters! Leo trying to frame Majo for sabotaging Helena's taller? Disgusting. I doubt that he gets away with it. I thought it was great the way Claudio advocated for the cleaning lady with her employer Salvador, who is violating all kinds of labor laws and thinks he can get away with it because he's the boss. Nora thinking of burning down Guillermo's house? That's almost psychotic. And she has no ethics or loyalty to sacrifice. Man, the bad guys are still coming after the good guys full force. When will it ever end? Thank goodness! Majo is conscious.
 

SI NOS DEJAN #64

Part 1

1. As Julieta brandishes a baseball bat, she orders Yaya to call the police. Yaya tells her that is not possible because Yuri is protecting Cholo. If he is found, Yuri will be arrested and she cannot allow that to happen.

2. Yuri tells Martín that Alicia, who is waiting to see him, begged her to get him out of there so that is why she is going to do. She understands how her mother feels. What her father is doing is an injustice. Martín is grateful and offers to pay her fees. She says they can talk about that later. Now, she will explain to him how his case will be handled. They have to see what evidence they have against him. The Ministerio Público has 48 hours to turn over his case file. Once they get that, they will know shat crimes he is being accused of. She explains it is complicated because her father is pulling our all stops to make it more difficult for him. She assures him she will get him out of there. (Painful to see Yuri make that pledge knowing what is happening on the home front)

3. Gutiérrez tells Alicia to have a seat already.The way she is walking back and forth she is going to make a hole in the floor. (Really? what a jerk!) She asks him for some water instead.

4. Maruja and Facundo arrive and she doesn't miss a beat is confronting Alicia and telling her off. It is Alicia's fault that Martín is in jail. They have lost one son and now are about lose another. Facundo tries to stop her while .Alicia tries explain that she and Martín are totally in love. Maruja doesn't see it as love but as some kid of novelty because her son is young and handsome, while Alicia . . . An embarrassed Facundo shuts her up and starts to lead her away but Maruja manages to get in one last remark: if Alicia has any decency left, leave her son alone!

5. Lucas sees Sergio seated behind is desk and tells him he is in HIS seat. Sergio informs him that he found out that he went to the Zapata and Associates law firm so now he is expecting some kind of desperate law suit. Lucas said he tried to go about the matter in the right way but that doesn't work with Sergio. Sergio tells him to shut up. Sergio insists he is not his son, but a bastarad (I have been waiting for that term to be used. Everything has been oh so civilized until now) Mercedes hears that in the other room and tunes into the rest. Lucas says "this bastard" is is his son and is going to ruin him and he will pay for all of the humiliation he has caused. Sergio brands him as resentful. He tells him to pack up his tings because he is fired. Lucas laughs in his face.

6. As Marcela makes the bed, she asks Fedora if she is married. Fedora says no. She has been through three divorces and now is getting out of a very difficult relationship. . . Marcela asks if she still loves him. Fedora admits to never having loved Samuel. He is one scary man and the worst sociopath ever. He is violent and very dangerous. He tried to kill her. (Must sound familiar to Marcela)

7. As Gonzo is jogging in the MIDDLE of the street (????pretty stupid place to jog), Samuel is following him in his car.

 

Part 2

8. Sergio insists that he isn't kidding. He wants him out of the foundation by the end of the day. Lucas tells him that he cannot get rid of him like that. There is a board directors. Sergio tells him HE is the board of directors. What he says go. Lucas says, okay fire him but he better get ready when everybody finds out about the fraudulent financial manipulations that are going at his foundation in his name. Sergio turns pale and wants to know what he is talking about. Lucas explains that he knows that the foundation is just one big cover for all the illegal things his friends in the government want to do with their tons of money. He has the checks and deposits to prove it. He has everything. Lucas explains if he leaves, it will only get worse. It is better that Sergio just get used to the idea that he will be a Carranza as soon as his lawyer files the suit in court. Sergio asks why he had to go to that particular law firm. Lucas explains his dear sister Yuri works there. Doesn't Sergio see how brilliant he is?? As a deflated Sergio leaves, he tells a smirking Lucas things aren't going to continue like this.

9. Moisés is asking his partner Jorge to hold off 24 hours before he accepts Lucas' case so he can talk to his father about it. Jorge asks if he isa really that afraid of Sergio Carranza. Moisés says it is only that he doesn't want problems with his future father-in-law. Things are going better with Yuri so he still hopes to become part of the family. Jorge advises him that it is not a good thing to mix work and one's personal life. Moisés is only asking for 24 hours before he confirms with Lucas. Reluctantly, Jorge give him his 24 hours.

10. Chela has been sent by the university to deliver some forms to Fabián. Rebeca answers the door and takes the papers but doesn't recognize Chela. Chela explains she is her student and works with her husband. Rebeca turns paranoid and afraid and calls for her husband. Rebeca thinks she is a student herself and doesn't understand what is going on. Fabián calms her down by sending her off to make some coffee. Chela apologizes saying she didn't know things were so serious. Fabián explains that Rebeca has Alzheimers. He only asks that she not tell anyone about what is happening to Rebeca. She agrees.

11. Miranda's psychiatrist Barcenas calls Sergio with bad news. Miranda is a smart, sensitive girl who has been very hurt. She is severely depressed. Sergio says that is no big deal. Teenagers are like that. he will make it all go away by planning a trip to New York and some theme parks in Orlando and it will all be over. Barcenas says it isn't that easy. Miranda tried to take her own life. He has prescribed some anti-anxiety meds for her but he will probably end up prescribing antidepressants for her as they go on with her therapy. A clearly perturbed Sergio replies saying that is unbelievable. Barcenas explains how Miranda needs support right now. She feels invisible and is punishing herself for being like she is. She needs everyone to listen to her, value her but most of all she sees her mother's presence. Alicia is the best "retention wall" they have. An infuriated Sergio tells him that Alicia is a disaster and is the very reason Miranda is in the state she is. 12. Miranda is talking to Diego about her psychiatrist appointment. It ended up seeming normal to her. Diego asks if she didn't feel weird talking to somebody who is her father's friend. She says at first she did but she ended up thinking he was okay. She says it was nice to have somebody actually listen to her when she talked. She will be seen him again. She really has no other choice. Diego says to ask him to go back to school. She would like to. Diego wants her to talk to Ariana. Nicole and Vanesa have been threatening her which means that she must know something about the video.

Part 3

13. Finally, Gonzo notices that a car has been following him. He looks back and starts to run down the road. With samuel on his heels, he finally takes off into the forest. Samuel gets out of the car with his gun in tow.

14. Fedora is showing Marcela how the washer works. You finally press this button and "voilà!" Nasty Eva is watching and remarks how a maid like like Marcela would ever know French? (Cannot anyone shut Eva up?) With a huge sarcastic smile, Fedora tells the ever nice and immaculate Eva that Marcela is not the maid. Eva says now she remembers how modern Fedora is being lal about workers' rights. Fedora takes a deep breath and decides it is not the time to argue and that they should try to stay peaceful for everyone's sake.

15. Fedora's phone rings. She thought Gonzo forgot his keys. No. He needs her to call the police because Samuel is chasing him right now. She tells him to send her his location as Eva wants to know what is going on.

16. At the police station, Karina brings Alicia a bottle of water and commentary on how unpleasant it must have been running into Martín's mother. Karina has to agree with her. Alicia's relationship with Martín is quite toxic. He has ended up arrested because of her. Alicia responds saying that she never stops being surprised by how everyone thinks they have the right to so freely give their opinion about her situation. It is as if someone were selling tickets for an opinion to be given. Karina says it is only because they worry about Martín. Alicia reminds her that Martín is a grown man and responsible for all of his actions. Karina concludes she must agree with what he did. Alicia says of course not! Alicia also knows that Karina is very much in love with Martín so she will not be discussing the matter with her. The only important thing is to get Martín out of here. She hopes Karina can do something. Karina says the problem is that Alicia's ex is moving heaven and earth to get Martín the longest sentence possible. They both hope Yuri can do something.

17. Fedora has called Karina about Gonzo. Karina asks where he is. Fedora is sending her his location. Karina calls Gutoérrez over and they leave.

18. Gonzo is running and hides behind a dead tree stump as Samuel searches for him gun in hand. (dramatic choral "Ah!Ah! Ah!" music plays in the background. Things are never good when you hear that choir.) Samuel is close as Gonzo has moved on to hide behind a tree. Samuel starts yelling that little Gonzalo's time is up. The little kid's time has come. He is going to make sure Gonzo never feels like taking other men's women away from them. Gonzo's phone rings and he refuses the call to stop the ringing. Samuel looks like he heard something and slowly turns.

Part 4

19. Martín thanks Yuri for everything especially because he knows how furious her father will be when he finds out about it. That being said, it broke her heart when she saw her mother's face when she found out he had been arrested. She wants her mother to be happy. Even though she wasn't for their relationship, she cannot bear to see her suffer. Also, she cannot permit another case of injustice to take place. He thanks Yuri.

20. Yaya brings Julieta a phone to call Yuri so she can explain how Cholo is innocent. Julieta knows that Yuri couldn't be so crazy to hide a criminal in her house. Julieta wonders if Yayya and Cholo are lovers. Yaya cannot believe how stupid that suggestion is. Julieta ells Yaya to call because she isn't putting down the bat. Yaya tells Yuri come home because something very serious happened at home. Yaya says Julieta discovered . . . Yuri gets it and asks to talk to Julieta. Yuri tells her she has an explanation for everything and not to do anything until she gets home. Julieta is giving her one hour period.

21. Julieta thinks it is incredible. The most wanted man in Mexico is holdup here in Sergio Carranza's house. Cholo insists he is innocent. Julieta asks how is that works since he killed a man and broke out of jail. She made the announcement on the air. What is he doing there in Sergio's house? her house? protected by her step-daughter? This just cannot be.

22. Yuri says goodbye to her mother and leaves the jail. Alicia notices that it looks like Yuri is upset about something. Yuri isn't talking.

23. The cat and mouse game continues. Gonzo gets a call which he answers. It is Lorena who has decided that maybe they really should talk. He explains that now is not the time because he is trying to hide( out in the open??? ). . .but he clearly hasn't done a good enough job because Samuel has found him and is pointing his gun to his head. Lorena keeps calling out his name as Samuel tells him to let the phone drop and he does.

24. Chela arrives the network with a worried look on her face. Diablo asks her what is wrong. She says she just got some serious news and is trying to process it. Diablo gets a call from Carlota asking if he is aware of what happened to Martín. He asks why? He hopes he didn't find out about them.. . (the size of all of these men's egos is unbelievable) Carlota sets him straight telling all she knows is that he was arrested and they are not letting him see anyone. Diablo will find out what he can and let her know ASAP.

25. Sofía confides in her friend Luna about her father getting arrested. He is the best person ever. Luna says no worries. If he is a good man, he won't be there long. Her own father is no saint and is always out of jail in no time. She explains that everyone in her neighborhood has been in jail at least once. Sofía thought only criminals went to jail. Luna says that just happens in the movies. When your are poor, you only have to make a mistake. Maybe Sofía's dad only made a mistake.

Part 5

26. Rebeca calls her son Francisco who is living in Tokyo. He was asleep because it is early morning there. She asks if he is in Japan. he says eh has been there for two years. She asks how he could goof to Japan without telling her anything. He asks if she doesn't not remember the goodbye party she organized. She says of course. She misses whims much. She asks when the last time it was that they saw each other. he says two years ago. Looking concerned, he asks how his fathering doing. She says he is doing well. he is off in Miami at one of his tv conferences. Shea asks him again to tell her where he said he was. By this time, Francisco is fully aware that something is very wrong. Rebeca says something is burning in the kitchen. She has to go. She will call later. They love each other a lot. After she hangs up, she writes herself a note: My son is in Japan.

27. Sergio is late to a meeting with Tamayo and Fabián. They are still waiting for Julieta.nSergio asks why the long faces. Fabián says that life sometimes is plain old hard. That is what it is like watching the love of his life disappearing little by little in front of his own eyes. Tamayo's mother had Alzheimers so he understands what Fabián is going through. The disease is devastating. Sergio agrees it is so unfair especially with a woman like Rebeca. Fabián is grateful to have them as his good friends. Sergio gets a call but it isn't from julieta. It is so strange she hasn't gotten there yet.

28. Yaya, Cholo and Julieta, with her bat, have over down to the kitchen where Cholo is eating. As far as Julieta is concerned, Cholo will be a criminal until a judge says otherwise. Cholo chokes on his orange juice when he hears that. Usually it is innocent until you are proven guilty but he isn't talking until Yuri arrives. As she parades with her bat in the kitchen, Julieta says time is almost up. Yaya encourages her to be patient because of the traffic. Julieta thinks Yuri must be nuts to have a criminal in the house while her family was there. When that little old doña was there, everyone must have done whatever they wanted. Yaya asks Julieta not to tell Sergio anything about this. Julieta tells Cholo she won't say anything but she wants something in return. Cholo isn't quite following her. She says it is going to be a real bombshell!!! (Looks like she is thinking like I am thinking!!!)

29. As Samuel marches Gonzo around with the gun to the back of his neck, Gonzo apologizes. Samuel says he is going to take him to a private place so he can give him the lesson he will never forget in his life. Two police cars roll up. Karina gets out and yells for Samuel to drop the gun and turn himself in. Samuel has Gonzo by the neck and is dragging him while pointing the gun at the police. Samuel thanks them for the advice but first he is going to blow Gonzo's head off.

30. Fedora is going to her car (I guess to find Gonzo) when Lorena pulls up and calls her name.

Part 6

31. Mabe arrives at the police station. Alicia asks if she is going to blame her, too, for Martín being in jail. Mabe assure her she has not time for gossip like that. She is just there to see what is going on. Alicia says nobody has any information. Mabe says it is too bad that Martín has ended up like this due to how powerful a national journalist award can be. Mabe is gong to try her luck in getting some information.

32. Diablo has stopped by to pick up Carlota. She was not able drive given her mental state. He says no problem because they are friends. Carlota at a her shrewish best asks whom is he a friend to. Her? or Martín? He tries to say to both of them. She then turns the conversation to the two of them. Does he think they are friends? She wonders if they are friends with benefits or are they going to have to pretend to suffer from dementia saying that what happened between them didn't? Diablo admits he cannot forget. The only thing that worries him is if Martín were to find out. She says he won't. He asks if she is still in love with MartÍn. Is it her ego? An obsession? What? She admits to not knowing; maybe it is everything he mentioned. He was asking because she seems to still be in the fight. She clarifies herself saying right now she only cares that her child's father is out of jail. Afterwards, they will see. Diablo puts on a smile and agrees. As they walk to the car, he tells her anytime she needs a friend, a tequila, or to laugh a little, Diablo is there for her. She likes that. In the meantime, they are going to get Martín out of this mess.

33. The standoff continues. If they move a centimeter, he will kill Gonzo. Karina tells him he has no way out. Samuel says his way out is the brat he has. (Harebrained) Fedora arrives on the scene yelling to let Gonzo go as she runs towards him. Gutiérrez stops her. Lorena joins the "let him go" chorus. Samuel tells him he is quite the leading man with women of all ages after him. Samuel puts Gonzo on the hood of the car with the gun pointed at his neck as he screams that he will kill him. Karina is willing to negotiate. What does he want?

34. Francisco calls his father to tell him about the odd call he had with his mother. She told him that his father was in Miami. Fabián tells him he is in Mexico. Francisco asks if he can tell him what is going on. Fabián tells his son the truth. Francisco can't believe it. his mother is still very young. They can get other opinions. His father tells him they have already sought out other opinions and everyone had the same diagnosis. He asks his father why he didn't tell him. Sobbing, Fabián says he is telling him now. There isn't much time left. The disease is advancing way too fast. He fears that Rebecas will forget her own son. Francisco cannot leave right now due to immigration problems but he will be there was soon as he can. His father asks that he do whatever he can to come see his mother. Her forgetting everything is unstoppable. They both cry.

35. Yuri finally arrives at the house. She runs into Cholo's waiting arms and they kiss. Julieta looks on in disgust. Julieta is waiting for an explanation of this little surprise. Yuri thanks her for not calling the police. Julieta has noticed that she has something going on with this guy. Yuri begs her not to say anything to her dad. Julieta says she won't. Julieta wants to hear the whole story! Was she interested in the case or in this guy? Yuri admits it is both. That makes Julieta laugh. Yuri explains how Yolo is being framed for Simón Guerra's murder. He has been sentenced. If the police get him, they will jail him and he will be killed. Yuri si only looking for time to discover the truth. Julieta agrees but she has a price. She wants an exclusive interview with Cholo. Yuri cannot believe it would be for her father's show. Julieta says no way! She will use for her own show!!! It will be the bombshell for her show's premiere!!!

Part 7

36. Sergio is wandering around the network asking about Julieta. Where is she? Her useless assistant isn't around either. He tells Chela to find Julieta NOW.

37. Alicia calls Sergio to tell him what she really thinks of him. He is a coward, not a real man, etc. She is embarrassed she was ever married to him. He tells her to watch her insults. Every one is one more month in jail for Martín. She reminds him of everything he has already taken away from her. Isn't that enough for him. Evidently it isn't. He asks her if she is not ashamed of having to defend a little man who cannot defend himself? She asks if he was really that hurt that she fell in love with another man. Sergio proclaims that she no longer interests him. Martín Guerra dared to get involved with somebody he shouldn't have, with him. She better get used t the fact he is going to spend a good long time in jail because that is how Sergio wants it.

38. Mabe ends up talking to Mujica who explains that Martín is being held incommunicado because the case is so complicated. She cuts him off having noticed that the police are enjoying putting journalists behind bars way too much. He thought she was there just to check up on a poor employee. She thinks that any impresario would be furious if someone was committing an injustice against their winning product. She is going to be watching this investigation and is going to be on top of every step the ministerio público takes. She wants to be sure there are no misunderstanding. She asks Mujica if he gets it or if she has to explain it all again to him. She turns and leaves. Mujica is sullen but silent.

39. Carlota arrives at the police station with Diablo. She sighs when she sees Alicia who tells her to watch her insults because she isn't up to putting up with her. Carlota asks if she is going to file a complaint about her coming to find out about the father of her child. Alicia once again tells her that she did not file any complaint against her. She needs to investigate who did. There probably are plenty of possibilities. Diablo asks them to stop arguing and if there is any news about Martín. All Alicia knows is that the situation is sensitive because Sergio is obsessed with Martín staying in jail. Carlota cannot see herself having to take Sofía to a jail to see her father. It is the worst that could have happened to Martín.

40. Samuel is dragging Gonzo around with the gun to his head as Karina tells him to just Gonzo go. Samuel makes a point of declaring that he doesn't negotiate with women. They are all the same; all liars. Fedora marches out to confront Samuel saying his problem is with her not with Gonzo. The police approach with her. Samuel says they are going to take turns. He says first she can see how the kid dies and then he will kill her. Fedora says he can kill her if he wants and to let the rest go. She tells him a barking dog doesn't bite. He points the gun at her and says this dog loves to bite. There is a shot. Gutiérrez has managed to shoot Samuel. Samuel's mouth fills with blood and he falls down dead.

41. Back at the police station, Diablo tells Alicia he is sorry that he never saw this coming. It was obvious something like this would happen after Sergio found out about her and Martín. Then again, Martín did nothing to help himself either. Alicia agrees. Carlota comes back with the news that they cannot visit Martín as if he were some kind of dangerous criminal. She blames Alicia for it all. Alicia says she has been told it is all her fault s much she should have "It is my fault" tattooed on her forehead. Mabe comes to get Alicia.

42. Mabe has gotten Alicia a visit with Martín in his cell. They run int each other's arms and kiss.

TU AMOR. If what appeared on the internet when this novela started is true, there should be 25 more episodes. Given that the conflicts keep getting ever more repetitive, I hope there are no more than that. Majo could go either way. Whatever happens, I hope she sees to it that Leo is charged for causing her "accident."

Exemplary, elevated excellence Jarifa. Incredible, thorough, perceptive summary.

“Carlota at her shrewish best” was my favorite of many lines too numerous to count.

I smiled at “dramatic choral "Ah!Ah! Ah!" music plays in the background. Things are never good when you hear that choir”. No they certainly are not!!

“Samuel….the worst sociopath ever. He is violent and very dangerous. He tried to kill her. (Must sound familiar to Marcela)” was a sad but spot on observation.

The scene of the immediate aftermath of the firing of the gun was very well done. For a split second, I did wonder if it was Fedora who was shot. Finally, Sammy gets his just desserts. But an unsettling feeling persists. Lorena and Fedora embracing each other after the shooting was a smart move on the part of the writers. It thwarted the next scene which would have been watching to see exactly who Gonzalo would go to.

Alicia certainly was verbally battered and bruised by a long list yet she handled herself admirably. Mabe was an interesting revelation herself. She may indeed have professional integrity despite her poor taste in friends.

As predicted, Julieta has pounced on an opportunity to advance her career. Her surely blockbuster interview with Cholo will propel her name into the stratosphere! This duplicitous revelation will be a sharp barb into Sergio’s side following the gaping wound that Lucas now wields all the power and control over the Foundation.

Having the psychiatrist reveal that “Alicia is the best "retention wall" they have” was a pleasant surprise.

I sense that now there will be little to separate Alicia and Martin.

Was it Guiterrez that shot Samuel? I thought it was Karina because she somehow managed to get behind him and it looked like that's where the shot came from.

Cholo pointing out to Julieta that it's supposed to be innocent until proven guilty was a funny moment. It's been said several times that he needs something else to do so when they left the storage room and he was next seen eating AGAIN, I couldn't help but laugh, but it was fun seeing his interactions with Juileta and how he was subtly making fun of her. Those two made good scene partners they played off each other's reactions well.

Luna points out that in real life all you needed to be was poor and to make a mistake to end up in prison - so heartbreaking!!! She is a wise little girl and so kind despite all she's been through in her young life.

Well, it looks like the shrink really was paying attention and is trying to look out for what is best for Miranda but that might be for naught since it didn't seem like Sergio was going to heed his advice, especially not in regards to Alicia.

Steve, your vibe about Gutierrez.....interesting. Something has seemed off about him since day 1 for me but I wasn't thinking he was dirty my suspicion has been in the other direction - what's the Mexican equivalent of Internal Affairs? It's definitely an interesting character for me, there's something very inconsistent and intriguing about him.

Diana, thank you. I also want to thank you fo your kind comment you made earlier this week about my recaps for “Vencer el desamor”. That novela will always be in my top ten, too. It was such a surprise in so many ways. Anyway, this was another fun episode to recap. I was also so happy that Julieta is going to use Cholo for her own career advancement and hopefully stick it to Sergio. I found Alicia being the best “retention wall” an interesting image. In his reaction to Miranda’s needs, Sergio proved once again just how callous he is when it comes to anyone’s but his own needs. They did a good job with the shootout. Gonzo hiding from Samuel not so much. I am starting to like Lucas the chip off the aging block.

Thanks Darcy. I agree that it would have been smart for one of the cops to get behind Samuel and thst it was sort of an odd scene the way it was filmed. I had to rewatch it, while I was doing the recap, to decide who shot Samuel. Karina and Gutierrez were both in front of him the whole time. They showed Gutiérrez first after the shot so I think he made the shot even though Karina was ready. Yes, Luna’s sense of morality and how the real world operates was heartbreaking. These novelas are so well written. I also got a kick out of Cholo eating once again.

Jarifa - I just rewatched too, after reading your recap and commenting above. It was Karina who shot him. After Samuel tells Karina he doesn't negotiate with women, the dialog goes between Samuel and Fedora with Gutierrez trying to get Fedora to stop provoking him and we see Karina is nowhere to be seen. We see Fedora and Lorena and Gutierrez but Karina isn't in the frame, then the shot happens and it is Gutierrez shown first but after the blood in Samuel's mouth and he drops to the ground, you see that Karina is now behind him and smoke is coming from her gun. She definitely shot him. She must have somehow snuck around while he was focused on Fedora.

Jarifa, It's always interesting when an actor takes what little screen time they are being given and make the most of it!

Along with the fact Cholo is downright adorable and highly charismatic to begin with, he is "chewing the scenery" (sorry couldn't help it) with vigor and enthusiasm. A good performer always leaves you wanting more and in this case, that is definitely true!!

Diana, I agree with you about Cholo 'chewing the scenery', I think this is the first novela I've seen with this actor and he is compelling! I'd like to see him again in a show where he has more to do. His initial reaction to Julieta screaming at the very very beginning of the episode cracked me up!!! It was comedic gold. And congrats on predicting Julieta's reaction to finding Cholo! I meant to say that earlier and I forgot. Whatever else that woman is, she can certainly think on her feet! She's clearly frightened and it still takes her all of five minutes to point out the irony of the most wanted fugitive in Mexico hiding out in Sergio Carranza's house!

"I am starting to like Lucas the chip off the aging block" - I am not sure I like him but I appreciate the fact that he seems to be a step ahead of Sergio. Here's hoping he is able to completely outsmart him.

Jarifa , thanks for giving us every moment of the good , the bad, and the ugly in last nights episode.

Jul holding the baseball bat showed me that she is a pretty fast thinker...and maybe an ex softball player. Batter batter batter. Good eye, Jul. She is shrewd and quick to see anything to her advantage which probably comes from being a narcissistic egotist who always puts her own desires ahead of anything and anyone else. Get out if her way , Sergio. You are not her first priority just as she is not yours.

Mabel was a Surprise. Sam is out of the picture .( i, too, thought that Karina shot him from behind . I thought his injuries were making him bleed from his mouth, but then he fell ,and Karina was behind him with her gun aimed at him ) .

Hopefully things will start To look up for the good guys and the bad guys will start getting their just punishments .

Darcy, the scene you mentioned was indeed a good one! Scarlet and Isabel worked together on Medicos so there is some history there. And Alex Perea fit right in. He does seem to have it all including comedic talent. I don't recall seeing him previously, he did have the lead in Sin miedo a la verdad which I didn't see.

Julieta, a "narcissistic egotist who always puts her own desires ahead of anything and anyone else" (perfect Susanlynn) is never one to let any opportunity, inadvertent or otherwise slip through her fingers.

Jarifa, how fitting that Sergio may be brought down by his own son. I cannot wait...

Susanlynn, Mabe was a welcome surprise. It is about time that the good guys have some leverage against the rats. Well, we don’t have that much longer to go so things will have to turn around soon like with the Samuel storyline ending so satisfactorily this episode. Dead and gone. Julieta was a quick thinker with that baseball bat. She is far from stupid.

Diana, if only Lucas could give “a push”in Sergio’s fall. That would be sweet.

I want him to lose everything because of his dirty financial dealings. His govt. connections will wash their hands of him and want to keep HIM locked away the max number of years to keep his comments out of the press that might end up in incriminating them. Alicia will become the sole owner of his property and she will make sure that Lucas gets his rightful share of which he was deprived.

Julieta
I want to see Julieta use Sergio’s fall as a stepping stone to bigger and better things. Eventually she will feel the pressure of aging and will see how the chips fall when there is younger and hungrier competition.

Eva
I want to see Eva living on her in a small apartment with a maid /cook financed by Alicia. She will have just enough money for her legit expenses but not enough for gambling habit. Lots’ a luck feeding her addiction which will be the greatest punishment.

Carlota
I want to see Carlota placed on probation as a therapist where she will be supervised, evaluated by her superiors, peers and patients, undergo therapy herself and forced to take classes on ethics. This should last three years.

El Toro
I want to see him shot dead in a street fight.


Mujica
I want him to be fired for his complicity with criminals like Toro and Sergio. He will end up convicted and spend at least 25 years in prison if he survives.


Mabel
She doesn’t deserve a karmageddon in my estimation.


Nicole and the boys
I want to see Nicole found guilty of posting the video and the boys as co-conspirators in stealing the video. The boys should have to do public service as a punishment. Nicole should be remanded to the custody of the state in a juvenile penal facility until she turns 18 so she gets a taste of what bad girls can really be like.

4.) Carlota needs to go down. That bipolar expletive is a disgrace!

5.) Jackass Sergio & Crazy Julieta likely going down bigly at some point.

So Sergio's wealth came from money laundering. I should have thought more about that since this is becoming a very common ocurrance in novelas lately.

Jarifa, I could not agree less with you about Carloca. She is far too unstable to continue as a therapist.

Her freak-outs are scary, which could set patients back years in treatment. That was a valid reason for the end of her marriage. I don't understand why Maruja doesn't see this; Martin would have talked about it at least a few times prior to the divorce. She needs to start over in a different profession. If she has adequate years of experience in the field maybe she could teach beginning psych courses in college.

I am really angry with the constant barrage of criticism of Alicia and Martin's relationship. At least half of these people should be educated enough to know better. Are there no celebrity relationships in Mexico with the woman being the older of the two?

Urban I agree that it was very befitting that a woman take down Samuel. Karina has been on the fence for me, but I have to say she is impressive as a cop. I to hope that she is instrumental in bringing Mujica dowm.

Yes, it was smart of the writers; I would never have thought that these two women would show that type of support for each; and I thought it was odd that they didn't run to Gonzo first. I will be very interesting to see who Gonzo will reach out for. And....

I've seen Alex Perrea befoer andhe is very charismatic. As mentioned, he was the lead in "Sin Miedo a la Verdad" which ran for 3 seasons; and I first saw him in "La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo" where he played Tadeo, the young man who crossed over with his sister in search of his mother, Leticia, who turned out to be a seamstress.

Rebeca's storyline continues to be vey disturbing to me. IIRC, this is the first time we actually see her son, Francisco. It seemed odd to me that Franisco had not been told about his mother's condition. I would think that he would have been upset with Fabian when Fabian told him to come home ASAP since Rebeca's memory was going fast. Francisco should already be back with his mother.

Francisco had to find out ASAP. Not only is Rebecca going downhill fast this is not something that should be kept from a son. He needs to go home.

I hope somebody can silence Carloca and Eva before this is over. It would not surprise me if Eva dumps her daughter and her grands and goes off with her winnings. She won't bail out anything she stole and she will contribute nothing to the family income. That's all on Yuri and Gonzalo now.

If SerJerk gets his just desserts in the end and Alicia gets the house what will she do with it? If we're Alicia I would sell it to the highest bidder and get something I want!
