DEJAN, Ep. 73, Part 1: As the Chronic Liar’s World Falls Apart

We left off with Lucas crashing the party and smugly delivering Serjerk’s gift of a lifetime…or his death (we can hope). Everyone else is in total shock and trying to lift each other’s jaws. The first to react, of course is Serjerk who asks how Lucas can dare to come to his house and say such trash in front of his family. Yuri looks over the document and Alicia asks who his mother is so Lucas tells her it is Prudencia. After Yuri indicates that the document is valid, Alicia recalls Prudencia and chides Serjerk for having a child with Prudencia who worked in their house and he has spent all this time lying and denying a son. Serjerk looks as others throw dagger looks at him.

In Tamaulipas, Martin decided to go out to dinner with Mabel and her parents. When her mother comments how handsome Martin is, Mabel tells her not to even bother because Martin has a novia.

Serjerk tries to explain to Alicia but Alicia tells him that he has nothing to explain to her; he should be explaining to his family. The only thing that happened was that he slept with Prudencia, got her pregnant, and got rid of her. Serjerk then turns to Lucas and tells him that the circus is over. Lucas retorts that it is not easy to come there and reproach him for everything that he has pleaded for throughout the years. He tells the others that the great SerJERK has spent his life keeping them quiet with his breadcrumbs…Lucas has always been a stain…a mistake that had to be erased. Serjerk snarls at Lucas to STOP!! They have never been lacking for anything!.

Outside, Ariana and Culebra arrive. Culebra hesitates but Ariana urges him that they enter. As they approach the door they hear Lucas say that the only thing he wanted was to be recognized as part of the family and that everyone there know that he existed. Alicia states that this is not her house and this does not concern her so she is leaving. Sergio tries to stop her since they need to talk. Fabian announces that they are leaving since this is a family issue. When Sergio tells them that they shouldn’t ruin Miranda’s party, Miranda thinks that it is already ruined…and she isn’t saying it because of Lucas. Sergio pleads with Alicia that they should talk. When Julieta tells him that it is she that he should be explaining to, Sergio tells her that it is Alicia he needs to talk to …alone. After he tells Yaya to take everyone to the dining room, Lucas wants to leave since he has already said what he came to say, but Yuri stops him and Gonzo tells him that they need to talk.

Outside, Culebra wants to leave since there is trouble inside, but Ariana rings the doorbell. Yaya goes outside and Culebra thinks that they came at a bad time. As he turns to leave, he hears Miranda ask whos it is. Culebra is so blinded by Miranda’s beauty that he tells her “Feliz Navidad…errr…feliz cumpleaños.” After he tells her that he will come back later and kisses her, he and Ariana leave as Miranda gushes with happiness.

At the police station, Mujica calls out for Karina. After she hesitates and tells Gutierrez to stay close, Gutierrez tells her to go to Mujica…he doesn’t think Mujica will do anything there at the station. Karina enters Mujica’s office and he reminds her that they were going to have some drinks together. He gives her a glass of tequila and tells her to sit down. He then tells her that he has a surprise or her. She has done a good job and is a good cop…not to mention that she is very pretty. He likes women with potential and it is time he gives her a promotion.


 

DEJAN, Ep. 73, Part 2: As the Chronic Liar’s World Falls Apart

Sergio and Alicia are in Sergio’s study. Sergio admits that Lucas is his son and he made a mistake. He needs to tell her how things were. They set him up! Alicia was on a trip with her parents and he went to a cocktail…and he drank. Pru had been attempting to get him…and he would resist, but that night she planned everything to get pregnant and blackmail him…that’s all they’ve done throughout his life, blackmail him! When Alicia recalls that Prudencia was an excellent woman, Sergio argues that yes, Pru was an angel when Alicia was around, but behind her back… He made an unforgiveable mistake, but Lucas shouldn’t have his last name just because of a mistake. Alicia argues that Lucas has his blood and has every right to have his last name, be treated as his son, and spend time with his siblings. Sergio retorts that she shouldn’t compare Lucas to his children because it is not the same. Alicia thinks that Sergio is a miserable person (Viewerville can think of better descriptors)and a chronic liar (Bull’s eye!!). Sergio reminds her that Prudencia was a maid…how could he be interested in a woman like that?! Alicia now understands, he rejected Lucas because his mother was a maid. In addition to being a liar, he is a classist and a racist. How sickening! How could she have been married to him for so many years!!

Out in the hallway, Eva takes some jabs at Julieta. Who is Sergio explaining to? Oh! Alicia! Julieta strikes back telling Eva that yes, because it was Alicia who was cheated on, not her. Eva thinks not…Sergio only cares about Alicia. When he isn’t with Juls, Sergio is with Alicia trying to apologize. She then advises Juls not to get pregnant…she has already seen what happened to Prudencia; when Juls gets fat, Serg will kick her to the curb!

Mujica notes that Karina is not very impressed with his offer, Karina explains that she has never been his favorite. When she asks what position she will get, Mujica tells her that it depends on how enthusiastic she is with him. He slobbers over her (Ewwww!) and Karina cries out and struggles; she even tries to get Mujica’s gun but he pins her down. Karina is finally saved by Gutierrez who knocks and comes in to tell Mujica that he needs Karina’s help right away. She quickly gets up and as she leaves, Mujica reminds her to think about what he told her…the promotion…the opportunities.

At the Casa Sorpresas, Yuri questions Lucas; why hadn’t he come forward if he had so many opportunities. Lucas explains that Sergio would threaten him and his mother with not giving them money…and they needed the money since his mother is ill. When Gonzo mentions his position as director of the foundation, Lucas explains that it was just a consolation prize from Sergio to keep him quiet. Lucas apologizes for the surprise but it was his gift to them…a brother. Yuri wonders why he went to the law firm where she works; so Lucas explains that it is the best law firm in the city…and he wanted to get close to her and the others. After Gonzo recalls that Lucas has never liked them, Lucas explains that he was full of envy, they represent everything he wanted…and they have the last name.

In Tamaulipas. Mabel’s mother asks Martin to take care of Mabel. She thinks that Martin and Mabel make an incredible couple…he should think about it in case things don’t go well with the señora. After Mabel’s parents leave, Mabel apologizes but Martin understands since he knows how parents can be. After she notes that he has been sad, Martin admits that Alicia has been acting odd toward him.

 

DEJAN, Ep. 73, Part 3: As the Chronic Liar’s World Falls Apart

At the liar’s study, Alicia doesn’t care what Serjerk says, she doesn’t believe him…she already took her blindfold off. When Sergio complains that she is condemning him for one mistake, Alicia scoffs and reminds him that he threw her out of the house to bring his mistress. Sergio tells her that he has done everything because of jealousy; he can’t stand to see her with another man. Alicia laughs at his argument and wonders if it was for love that she found him in bed with Juls, that he threw her out of the house without a penny, and that he hid his son for 20 years. Alicia wants to end the conversation; he needs to give his explanations to Juls because she doesn’t care how many women he slept with anymore…all she wants to do is go sing “Las Mañanitas” to her daughter.

Alicia goes out to the living room and tells Lucas that she now understands his hate for her…as if she was to blame for his dilemma. Lucas retorts that she is the picture of what his mother never had…she will never understand. Alicia agrees that she doesn’t understand because he is a very intelligent person and he knew perfectly well that she had no clue about anything. She doesn’t understand how a person can turn their yearnings into hate and make others pay for it. When Lucas comments that unlike his mother, Alicia had everything she wanted, Alicia retorts that now she has nothing but she is not going to take it out on everyone else. It is unacceptable that Lucas turned his rage into hate toward them. Lucas tells her that they can think whatever they want; he has already said what he kept in for 20 years; the rest will be decided by the court. After Lucas leaves, Juls shouts out that they should cut the cake, sing to Miranda and be happy! She starts to sing by herself as the others look on in disgust.

In Tamaulipas, Martin tells Mabel that Alicia has been somewhat cold and distant. Mabel reminds him that Alicia is a woman with 3 grown kids. Martin knows he is in a difficult situation since Alicia has no home and Sofi doesn’t like Alicia very much. Mabel doesn’t know how Martin could fall in love with that señora when there are so many other single, beautiful women out there. Martin admits that he sometimes questions if he has a future with Alicia, but he wants to try. Mabel hopes that the señora will value him. She notes that she keeps referring to Alicia as “señora” and assures Martin that she isn’t doing it on purpose…but it is an issue. Mabel knows that he can’t see it right now because everything seems perfect, but he is intelligent and doesn’t know what life has in store for him 10-15 years from now.

At Casa of the crashed party, everyone sings to Miranda and she blows out the candles. Eva goes over and takes more jabs at Juls telling her that she probably feels like an outsider.

Later, Yuri reproaches Moises since he hadn’t told her about Lucas. Moises denies knowing anything…in the beginning. Jorge took the case without his knowledge and Moises couldn’t tell her anything because he was ordered not to. He swears that he was not in agreement. Yuri doesn’t know but she has a bad feeling about that guy.

Alicia is now with Rebeca who comments how Lucas waited until now to announce who he was; she thinks Sergio better be carful or Lucas will hang him out to dry. Alicia thinks Sergio asked for it since he denied his son. Eva then butts in and defends Sergio since men are so easy...a few drinks and a woman can get them to do anything. Alicia can’t believe her ears…Sergio doesn’t surprise her anymore but Eva does. Eva continues that all men are the same…even Martin is no different…he is full of testosterone and youth; she tells Alicia to open her eyes. Rebeca wonders why that woman talks to Alicia like that (so do we!).

In Tamaulipas, Mabel and Martin are in he hallway getting ready to go to their rooms. Mabel throws herself at Martin but he thinks it isn’t a good idea; they shouldn’t ruin their friendship.

 

DEJAN, Ep. 73, Part 4: As the Chronic Liar’s World Falls Apart

Lucas tells Prudencia that he has just come from Sergio’s house. Prudencia can’t believe what he did and asks why he did it. Lucas replies that he wanted to humiliate Sergio...it was a glorious moment. When Prudencia comments that Sergio will never forgive him, Lucas doesn’t care; he has the law on his side.

Sergio, Juls and Fabian talk. Sergio can’t believe what Lucas did. Juls realizes that Fabian already knew…then reminds Sergio that she is the woman of this house…and he will NOT do what he did to Alicia! After Juls leaves, Gonzo approaches and asks to talk to Sergio.

Juls runs into Rebeca at the bathroom. Rebeca doesn’t recognize Juls at first then recalls that she is Sergio’s mistress…aside from the little dress Juls is wearing, she has very little shame. Juls wonders what she has to do to be respected in that house. When Rebeca asks what she expected since she gets involved with married men and states that she is going to tell the others to get her out of the house, Juls challenges to go ahead. Rebeca has another lapse and wonders who Juls is.

Gonzo tells Sergio that as each day passes, he convinces himself more that Sergio is a LIAR! When Serjerk reminds him that he is still his father, Gonzo comments that his mother asked him to stay for the entire party, but he can’t stomach so much hypocrisy. He bids Sergio a good night.

Rebeca runs into the living room yelling that a woman has entered the house! When Juls enters, Rebeca shouts, “That’s her!!” Juls goes into attack mode, but Sergio stops her and tries to explain about Rebeca; he tells Juls to behave. As the others scatter and start to leave, Sergio stops Alicia and apologizes for everything that happened. When he hopes that he cleared things up about Prudencia, Alicia doesn’t think he should care what she thinks; he should go ask his woman what she thinks .

In his room, Martin thinks about calling Alicia but doesn’t.

In her room, Miranda shows Benny the flowers Culebra bought her when he alter ego shows up and tells her that everything is her fault. It was her birthday and she brings bad vibes to her family. The alter ego then thinks the flowers are pathetic as is Culebra who is a LOSER!!

Juls and Serjerk are in their room. Serjerk reproaches Juls for her treatment of Alicia. Juls thinks the night was perfect and sarcastically apologizes for not knowing about his friend’s illness. She would prefer to talk about Lucas and the maid he slept with. When Serg refuses to talk about them, Juls wants to talk about his desperation to give Alicia an explanation because only people who hate her came to the house. Serg can’t believe that she is playing the victim…he can’t stand her. Juls wonders if he can stand himself…with a son that he hid and all his lies.

 

DEJAN, Ep. 73, Part 5: As the Chronic Liar’s World Falls Apart

Next Morning—

Fabian apologizes to Alicia for Rebeca’s behavior, but Alicia thinks that the only one who should apologize is Sergio. After he leaves, Eva approaches and is glad Fabian finally left since she doesn’t like men to see her when she just got up…she got up early to make herself presentable. If Alicia continues with her idea of being with Martin and living with him, she will have to get up 2-3 hours early to fix herself up.

Alicia calls Martin who is leaving the hotel. She mentions the fiasco at the party and will tell about it later. As Alicia tells Martin that they are now staying with Rebeca, she hears Mabel call out to Martin and asks if Martin is with Mabel at the hotel. When Martin affirms, Alicia curtly cuts the conversation short since she knows that they are very busy. Alicia then looks at Mabel’s social media page and sees the picture Mabel took with Martin.

At Casa Carrangst, things are tense at breakfast. Miranda wonders what they are to do about their new brother. Yuri doesn’t think Lucas wants to be part of the family; he is just looking for revenge. Sergio assures them that Lucas is not part of the family and that he will take care of things. Juls reminds Sergio that he has always said that his children are the most sacred…Lucas won the lawsuit and he probably wants much more.

Mabel drops Martin off at his place. Mabel apologizes for throwing herself at him…it was the wine. Martin reminds her that he loves Alicia and what happened will never happen again. As Mabel gives him a good-bye hug, Karina approaches and sees them.

At the jail, Moises chides Cholo for not staying out of trouble. He purposely yawns and tells Cholo that he and Yuri had a late night. When he starts to mention his wedding, Cholo reminds him that he is his lawyer; they are not friends and he is not interested in his personal life. Cholo is only interested if he is going to get him out of there. Moises pauses and taunts Cholo telling him that he is jealous. Cholo grabs Moises and starts to choke him but (unfortunately) the guards quickly pry Moises out of Cholo’s hands.

Rebeca is very glad that Alicia is there at her house. When Alicia complains about how long the divorce is taking, Rebeca can’t believe she is getting a divorce…though she never really liked Sergio. The doorbell rings and voila!! Martin is there with his big smile…which Alicia reciprocates.

Sergio sees that Juls is not ready and reminds her of a meeting with Diablo. Sergio mocks her about her little program and Juls strikes back telling him that she thought of having her program be shown in black and white so that it can be just as antiquated as he is . When she adds that her next program will focus on irresponsible fathers and men who sleep with their maids, Serjerk tells her to go to hell! He then tells her that this is not working and the most sensible thing is that she gather her things and go back to her house before they hurt each other more. Juls wonders if he is going to repeat his history…he will do to her exactly what he did to that poor maid…it is the same story, he threw her out and left her child without a father. When Sergio asks what she is talking about, Juls blurts out that she is pregnant…she is expecting his child!!

And so the episode ends!!

Thanks, RgvChick. I so enjoyed your wonderful recap this morning. Loved “Casa Carrangst” since angst is all that there was last night. Ykmes? What en episode!

Sergio proved again just how obtuse he is and how he will never get it. Prudencia set a trap for him? Really? Something is wrong in that noggin of his. He really believes he is so special. Now what to do with a pregnant Julieta? Ha! He never saw that one coming.

I so enjoyed those scenes with Eva harassing Julieta then with Rebeca unknowingly doing the same. Nope, wasn’t Julieta’s day.

Can’t believe Martín discussed Alicia with Mabe. So inappropriate. At least, he clarified things with her.

Loved Rebeca admitting she never really liked Sergio. She hadn’t forgotten that!

Smirky Moisés so deserved what Cholo dished out. I so hope Cholo gets some real satisfaction in the end.

Chick, WOW...thank you for giving us every agonizing moment of the birthday party in hell. You covered every terrible turn as the festivities crumbled faster than the birthday cake.

So much happened .. Mujica finally cornered Karina, but thankfully Gutierrez intervened . Mabel and her parents were embarrassing and inappropriate. I guess Mabe doesn't know about sexual harassment . After all her not so subtle hints that she was interested in Martin , she physically threw herself at him....twice . As she walked away, she decided to give it one more try and hung onto him again. No means no, not maybe Mabe.

Watching the nasties attack each other is great. Eva cannot shut up, and she likes to get right in Jul's personal space and insult her. Is Jul wearing a wig or extensions ? She looked extra slutty last night next go Alicia who looked lovely and confident despite her desperate situation. And drinking while pregnant ...very stupid .


Yaya deserves a big raise having to deal with this fractured family.

Best of all was the ending with the Bickersons in the bedroom throwing hurtful barbs at each other ,and Jul finally dropping tbe baby boomsbell. Troubls in paradise. Haha Now what !!!

Excellent, RGV Chick.

So, I was wrong; Prudencia had been their maid. Lucas has to be more than 20, though. You don't give that kind of work to a 20-year-old. He has to be a little older than Gonzalo.

No way had Prudencia set a trap for him; she's not vicious and at times I question her intelligence. This is pure narcissistic projection. More likely he went after her and seduced her. If she was a live-in maid she probably had nowhere to go once he made her leave. He uses people -- especially women -- for his ego. Didn't even use condoms, either. Payback's a bitch, isn't it? Juleech's timing was good, but I wonder if telling him in front of the others wouldn't have been better. His expression at the news was priceless.

Lucas won't be proud of that name for very long. He has to have been involved in the money laundering. He got nervous when Alicia looked over the books and saw things that weren't right. That's why he was so hot to get her out of there.

Mabel should look at sexual harassment laws and company rules. She may have told her parents that Martin had a novia, but her body language said otherwise. He needs a new job as well as a new wardrobe.

Whoever cheated on Eva should have just walked out. No man could be faithful to her.

Rgv Chick, this was pure glittering gold. One of your finest recaps to date - just exquisite in every way.

You ran out of the gate with “gift of a lifetime…or his death (we can hope)”. Perfect.

This pivotal episode signifies Sergio’s demise and Alicia’s rise. Sergio sliding further to the depths of despair as he continues to further alienate his family as another lie comes to light.

Alicia was not only magnificent in her controlled scorn and rejection of Sergio, but she was able to analyze that Sergio is not the only one at fault. While acknowledging Lucas as Sergio’s son, she did not hold back on Lucas’ unacceptable behavior either “Alicia retorts that now she has nothing but she is not going to take it out on everyone else. It is unacceptable that Lucas turned his rage into hate toward them”. Well said. And Urban, yes, Lucas should enjoy his moment in the sun…

As she assimilated so much and so intelligently I will not fault her for “Sergio doesn’t surprise her anymore but Eva does”. The patio somberly asserts nothing Eva does shocks us. But at least she went after Julieta like a lion intent on stalking her prey didn’t she Jarifa??? Rebeca was just a bonus.

Alicia is giving serious thought to Martin. I do not think she believes anything happened with Mabe, but that similar situations are going to arise. Does she want to deal with younger women continuing to pursue Martin which does feed into her insecurities?

Susanlynn, Gutierrez knew exactly what was going to happen to Karina. What IS behind that inscrutable stare??

“Cholo grabs Moises and starts to choke him but (unfortunately) the guards quickly pry Moises out of Cholo’s hands”. Let’s get him out of jail so this excellent actor has more to do than defend himself.

Cholo was not being smart when he tried to choke Moises, who may have deliberately provoked him to add another charge. There also were witnesses.

I want him disbarred for that.

Thank you, Jarifa, Urban, Susanlynn, and Diana. This was another episode ladened with dialogue. If I missed something, please share.

Jarfia, yes, Sergio is quite obtuse...and as Alicia said, a chronic liar; he does it so often that he probably can't even distinguish between what is true and what isn't.

I'm so glad she didn't forget about Lucas, but Lucas is just like his father; he cares nothing about what others say or think--he goes for what he waats without caring who gets hurt.

Eva is always on fire, but at least this time most of the fire was aimed at Juls; though she still managed to revert to her inane comments about men being men.

And I agree with Diana, Gutierrez knew exactly what might happen and he was totally wrong that Mujica wouldn't try anything there at the office. So it seems Gut has known all along about the harrassment and has done NOTHING about it. Is he also going to ask Karina what she did to provoke Mujica??? Based on his history, I would not doubt it!

Urban, "Lucas won't be proud of that name for very long." I really don;t think Lucas cares about how "worthy" the name is. He has known exactly what Sergio is like and what he is capable of yet he still insists of having the name...not so much because he is proud of it, but just to make his point and humiliate Sergio. Once the media finds out about the money laundering and all the people Sergio has stomped on, tha name will be worthless...and both he and Sergio will end up in jail. HA! Then Lucas will get his wish and live in the BIG house with daddy dearest.

Diana, "Alicia is giving serious thought to Martin." Yup, but not for long, I fear. That smile she gave him when she opened the door was an open invitation to Martin's dogged pursuit.

Urban, "Cholo was not being smart when he tried to choke Moises, who may have deliberately provoked him to add another charge." I'm sure Moises was very deliberate in taunting Cholo, but I don't think he expected to be grabbed and choked like that. Though there were witnesses, I doubt that they would speak out; they've seen both Moises and Mujica threaten Cholo and have done nothing. I do, however, hipe to see Moisees disbarred; maybe Yuri will be the one to report him.

Sergio..dude you are such Asshat. But like it or not this happens all the time.

How is Cholo still alive? Mexican police are famous for corruption. I think it is written into the constition. I mean that's Mexico but look how often it happens here.

Dona Eva..She even makes me feel sorry for Julietta. I want her to team up with Toro's son. They could rob countless people and that way she could also get some exercise.

Mabe Mabe Mabe what can I say? flashback to highschool drunk parties comin on to the disinterested guy. Then the ole I was just really drunk.

Ser guess what..you got another 21 years of Bratdom. Poor Yaya another 21 years of diapers and playing parent.

Alicia and Martin really really really bore me now.

Also katrina i think that's her name lady cop..get over it..you were Martin's fbuddy. He ain't ever gonna do you again.

You are probably right about Lucas. This could be all about getting SerJerk's goat, which he deserves.

Julieta drunkingly singing Happy Birthday by herself (am I the only one who thought she was drunk in that scene) - hahahaha

Miranda showed so much growth and maturity when she simply said 'The party is already ruined and I'm not saying it because of you Lucas'!! I was so proud of her and then we get the reappearance of the alter ego to remind us that depression and trauma don't have overnight cures.

Diana, 'Gutierrez knew exactly what was going to happen to Karina. What IS behind that inscrutable stare??' Exactly! He does know what is going on and he hasn't done anything about it yet - except for show up in the right moments like last night Thank God! But I still think it's for some reason other than indifference or his previously stated belief that women look for it......this guy is blending into the walls. No one is paying attention to him, no one is interested in him, no one is even mentioning his name apart from scenes he is in. How a man that good-looking can be invisible is beyond me, but he seems to be! It's intriguing. My bet is still that he is silently collecting evidence behind the scenes, building up the case to take Maujica down!

I agree with everyone Alicia was on fire last night! Good for her!!! I too was glad that she didn't let Lucas slide. He deserved his recognition but that doesn't make him a good guy, he can't be trusted.

I have nothing but eyes rolling for Mabe.

I agree with you Urban Cholo attacking Moises was incredibly stupid.....but maybe that could get him a new lawyer???? Doesn't physical assault = a conflict of interest?? Someone get this man a new lawyer!!!
 

TU AMOR ep 104 part 1

What happened?, Claudio asks, as Hector lays unconcious in the street. A man hit him and took off that way, Consuelo responds. Valentina, call an ambulance, Claudio yells, pursuing the attacker. Claudio doesn't see him disappear into a side street and runs past. When the assailant removes his mask, we see it's Leonardo.

Rosa Maria examines David and says his prosthesis may be causing his pain. There's duct tape around the socket and it looks like it's not in good shape. She starts to write a prescription. David thanks her but says he prefers meditation. It's helped a lot, he says. You must like to suffer, says Nora. Take the medicine. No, David insists, I don't need to be taking medicine. I should go. Wow, Nora says, I thought he was too perfect and never got angry. But he's handsome, isn't he?, she asks Rosa Maria, smiling.

Daddy, daddy, Mina cries, shaking her father in vain. For some reason, Valentina calls Ricardo to tell him what's going on. He must have gotten involved in something, Ricardo says. Things like that don't just happen. Is there something wrong with you?, Valentina asks. Hector is a good man. I can't talk to you right now, she says, hanging up. I think you're right, Ricardo tells Patricia. Hector isn't coming back. He got beat up and an ambulance is coming.

Judith is at Majo's bedside. She says she wishes she had the chance to say goodbye and leans over to kiss her. Rosa Maria interrupts her and asks if she's thought about her proposal. There are people that could die at any moment if we don't act quickly, she says. And there are people that don't have money and we need it as much as your patient needs a heart, Judith responds. You can't put a price on life, says RM. That's why my sister's organs are priceless, says Judith. I know the Vargas family has a lot of money. I don't think they would miss 10 million.

David is really suffering and goes into a hospital supply closet. He flashes back to his life on the street as an addict. He grabs bottles, randomly stuffing his pockets. After reading a label, he musters the courage to return the bottles to their shelves.

Leonardo shows up as Hector is being loaded on the ambulance. Damn, criminals, he says. Surely it was Regino, says Horacio. If it wasn't him, he sent someone. We'll take care of Mina, Valentina assures Consuelo. Helena hears the siren as the ambulance speeds toward the hospital.

Holi Yoli, is the way Nora says hello to Yolanda, as she pops into her office. She even kisses her on the cheek. Someone's in a good mood, Yolanda says. What's the miracle? I have a great idea, Nora tells her. I know how to make my father forget Rosa Maria. I'm going to use David, Adelaida's son. He's handsome and almost too perfect. Imagine what would happen if Guillermo Vargas found out that his novia is interested in his nephew. Not bad, says Yolanda. Guillermo couldn't stand that. His ego is too big. You impress me more every day. I'm even starting to feel proud of you. I want to ask you something. Tell me the truth. Did you have anything to do with the fire at Guillermo's house? I know perfectly well that you're determined to keep the ranch. Yes, Nora admits, but burning a house is a whole other level. Oh please, Yolanda says, you got rid of Sara Eva to become the pricipal model. It wasn't me, Nora tells a skeptical Yolanda.
 

TU AMOR ep 104 part 2

Valentina and Claudio put Mina to bed. Valentina doesn't feel right about using Hector to get information from Patricia. She thinks there must be another way. Claudio warns her that Nora's situation is getting worse. He says he's sure that she's the one who burned Guillermo's house. That's a crime, says Valentina. Nora wouldn't do something like that. I have reasons for suspecting her, Claudio insists. Helena walks in and tells them she saw an ambulance. They took Hector, says Claudio. They beat him badly, Mina says, wrapping her arms around Helena. There was a lot of blood.

At the hospital, a doctor tells Consuelo and Horacio that Hector was badly beaten but his condition isn't serious. Regino, says Horacio, I'll make him pay. We're not sure it was him, Connie says. I think he's capable of hurting my brother, Camila suggests. Yes, and he's angry with Horacio, Leonardo adds. He's a cheat, Consuelo says. Don't fight him.

Beba nervously texts from her office. "The carburetor has failed". She paces nervously, waiting for a response. Finally, she gets an answer. "I got it", the text reads. She lets out a breath. After some time has passed, she gets another text, "The signal has been re-established", it says. She gets up and prances down the hall confidently. Have you talked to the paparazzi?, Yolanda asks. Yes, Beba answers, there won't be any problem. He's going to bring you the video and the best is that it's going to be for free. Keep it under guard, Yolanda commands. I don't want it to get out or the game is over. I'm very aware of that, Beba thinks to herself behind Yolanda's back. A man watches her as she climbs the stairway.

Leonardo takes a picture of Hector and texts it to the paparazzi. "I did my part", he types. This time you didn't let me down Leonardo, the paparazzi thinks, when he receives the text at a restaurant. We need to talk, Uriel says, joining him. It's urgent. You talked to Yolanda to sell her the video but we have an agreement. Yes, we agreed there would be a payment, the photographer says, but Leonardo did the dirty work. I'm not going to get anything out of it. I make a living blackmailing famous people. Like with Camila. She spoke badly about Yolanda, not Helena Vargas. I edited it, reversing what she said. Now I'll sell it to Yolanda at a high price. That's life. Business is business. That's just what I wanted to hear, Uriel says smugly. I'm not interested in the video. Do what you want. I recorded you. You won't make anything selling it now. Thanks for your help.

Helena shows up at the hospital and Consuelo tells her that Hector is going to be OK. Helena is worried about him and says she needs to see him. Buenas noches, says Patricia, showing up soon after. What are you doing here?, Helena asks. I knew what happened to Hector and I came to visit him, Pat explains. Lately, we've been very close. Thanks for coming but you can go back to your house, Helena says. Which is technically your EX house, Pat taunts. By the way, the location is excellent. I love it. The doctor comes back to tell everyone that Hector can only have one visitor. Consuelo graciously defers to Helena. Hector will be really happy to see you, she says. Patricia looks annoyed by this.

Anon - 'Dona Eva..She even makes me feel sorry for Julietta. I want her to team up with Toro's son. They could rob countless people and that way she could also get some exercise.' heheh That is too funny!

Urban - I am hoping Fedora is working on this. She doesn't have anything else to do at the moment, maybe she is searching pawn shops for her jewelry and when she finds it she will get surveillance videos and all the juicy details of Eva's history of selling objects to the shop?
 

TU AMOR ep 104 part 3

Claudio tells Valentina why he suspects Nora. She was asking me how Guillermo could save his business without selling the ranch, he says. I told her about his properties, mortgages, insurance. And that's how she got the idea?, Val asks. I'm going to go ask her. Lucha announces Valentina when she gets to the house. I wanted to talk to my sister, she explains to Guillermo. Adelaida invites her to spend the night. This is your house, Guillermo agrees, but I don't want you two fighting. What are you doing in my house?, Nora asks, stepping into the room. I hope you don't try to hit me again, but I'm a good person and don't hold a grudge. There is only one room available. You'll have to share it with your brand new husband Ricardo. Nora calls him to report that Valentina is at the house again.

I love you, Helena says, approaching Hector's bed. I don't want to be without you again, she says kneeling down. Thanks for coming, he says. We have to talk. Don't worry, she answers. We'll have time to talk and we'll clear up everything. I don't want to lose you, he says, shedding a tear. There's something very important I have to tell you. Tell me what you have to say, my love, Helena prompts. I'm sure it isn't anything very serious. No, it's serious, says Patricia, coming into the room uninvited. In fact, it's great news, at least for me. Hector and I made love like never before. Is it true what she said?, Helena asks Hector with a look of disgust. I wanted to tell you, he says, as Helena walks past Patricia on her way out.

Hector gets out of bed to follow Helena but Patricia calls a nurse. The patient is leaving, she says, and he hasn't been discharged. I love you Helena, Hector exclaims. If you loved me, Helena responds in front of everyone, you wouldn't have slept with Patricia. Forgive me, he asks, I beg you. Don't beg for love from someone that doesn't know how to give it, says Patricia. We already sealed our love as man and woman. Rosa Maria interrupts, telling some orderlies to take Hector back to his room. I'm sorry Helena, RM says, but there is something very important I have to tell you.

Leonardo goes to Majo's hospital room. Do you know something?, he asks. I saw you walking in the hall but I know that it couldn't be you. Because you're dead. They say there is no activity in your brain. You don't know how happy that makes me. The truth will never be known. No one will know that I set the trap for you on the stairs so you would fall. I was the one who did it. It's too bad you'll never get up again. Adiós forever, Majo. He kisses her forehead and leaves, not realizing that Rosa Maria and Judith heard everything. So you're the one responsible for killing my sister, Judith thinks. You're going to pay very dearly.

Valentina goes through a box she finds in her bedroom. She finds a doll and and an old video camera. Ricardo shows up and thinks they might get back together. That's never going to happen, Val promises. He agrees to sleep in an armchair. Adelaida asks her where she found the camera. She thinks it was a gift for Helena when she turned 16. It doesn't run, Val says. I want to buy a cable and it needs batteries. Ricardo volunteers to take her.


 

TU AMOR ep 104 part 4

Please come in, Rosa Maria tells Helena, as they arrive at her office. Are you all right? No, Helena says, I feel betrayed and humiliated. I don't know how to handle everything that's happening. I have to tell you something very serious, RM says. A moment ago, in Majo's room, I heard Leonardo say that he was the one who caused her accident. A nurse told me she heard the same thing but I didn't tell anyone because I wanted to confirm it. This time, unfortunately, I heard it from Leonardo's own lips. It's impossible, Helena says. He's been my employee for years. I have to go talk to him. Please don't go alone, Rosa Maria advises. Leonardo is dangerous and we don't know how he will react.

Claudio and Horacio are at home discussing tomorrow's fight. Claudio tries to talk his father out of it but Horacio insists he doesn't have a choice. It's the only way to settle things for good with Regino. Helena shows up crying. She says that Rosa Maria just told her that Leonardo caused Majo's accident. I had my suspicions that he did things to cause you to lose your taller, Claudio says, but I never thought him capable of something as low as harming Majo. She always denied it, Helena says, but I'm sure the baby she lost in the fall was Leonardo's. Maybe he wanted to get rid of the baby, Claudio suggests, and didn't count on Majo dying.

Rosa Maria discharges Hector. Consuelo brings up the fight between Horacio and Regino. I have to be there mom, Hector says. Let's go. I don't recommend that, RM says. You should rest. You go with Horacio, Patricia says to Consuelo, and I'll take care of Hector. Will you go see Mina first?, Connie asks her son. She's really worried about you.

Enrique and Guillermo are in the backyard of the new house. Everything is ready for ceding the rights of the ranch to Patricia, Enrique says. No papa, Nora complains. I won't permit Patricia to get my ranch. You promised me. You can't do this. I demand it. Nora please, Guillermo says, grabbing his arm. Try to be calm. I can't be calm, Nora insists. That ranch has to be mine. It's only a procedure, Enrique lies. Patricia isn't going to keep the ranch. It's only so we can sell it. You shut up, Nora commands. Don't butt in. It's the same thing. Dad, don't sell it. It's all I have. Guillermo falls to the ground unconscious. Call an ambulance, Enrique shouts.

Joel - I apologize for commenting in the middle of your recap! We were typing at the same time and I didn't realize you were posting! Perdon!
 

TU AMOR. Another top-notch recap, JoelD of yet another unsettling episode. Leo just gets more and more dangerous. If it's the prosthesis causing so much pain, couldn't David use a wheelchair (or a scooter), at least for a while, until he can get a new better prosthesis? Yuck. Again, the worse Nora is, the more Yolanda admires her. It's cool the way Uriel recorded the paparazzi's admission of guilt! In fact, in this episode there were a couple of unwise admissions of guilt out loud--including Leo's to brain-dead Majo, overheard by both Rosa Maria and Judith. It seems a bit unlikely that two hardened malvados like the paparazzi and Leo would do something so stupid, but oh well, beanie hat! It was rotten of Patricia to torpedo Hector's relationship with Hector by telling her of their sexual encounter, but then that's Patricia. It's certainly not going to help her get Hector. Once again, Claudio gives a good analysis of a bad person's (in this case Leo's) motives.

JoelD, your inspired recap flew into the stratosphere once again. Life has little joys throughout each days and your summaries have certainly been mine.

"Don't beg for love from someone that doesn't know how to give it, says Patricia. We already sealed our love as man and woman" made me queasy. Truly. Patricia has no heart, soul or conscience. (Forgive me if I've said that in another comment about someone else but that certainly is the overarching theme of villains here, isn't it??)

And as Helena manages to walk forward, battered and beaten, she is told Leo caused Majo's accident. How much more can she take???

Leo's beating of Leo was so savage I was surprised Hector seemed to come out of it albeit in a hurting, bruised state.

The pinhole of light at the end of the tunnel for me was that video camera. I suspect it holds some sort of evidence that will convince Guillermo Helena was telling the truth.

SpanProf, I agreed with and enjoyed every word of your astute comment. I especially loved "It seems a bit unlikely that two hardened malvados like the paparazzi and Leo would do something so stupid". :)

Uriel made a good move but Beba is really going to have to come through as well as Yolanda is an almost impossible enemy to destroy.

I should wish Guillermo get well. I do so only half heartedly.

Interesting that Nora wouldn't admit that she started the fire to Yolanda. But no need to be a MENSA member to know the answer.

I suspect Judith is a dangerous enemy.

David is not only saintly he apparently suffers as one also. Ack.

I cannot wait for the mighty to fall.

"That smile she gave him when she opened the door was an open invitation to Martin's dogged pursuit". Rgv Chick, stated perfectly. The little spunk she gave Martin earlier has seemed to evaporate.

As the last few episodes are looming, Alicia has some hard thinking to do. She has to trust completely and understand the road will not always be paved with acceptance.

Darcy, Julieta WAS definitely drunk! And after Eva's disparaging eye and acid tongue, I understand why :)

Darcy, that works for me. Fedora sees her necklace and Alicia's in the pawn shop window, goes inside, and talks to the broker who bought them from Eva. She then looks around for the camera... and calls the police department. They send Karina and she later arrests Eva...

If I were on the writing team Alicia would then turn her back on Eva, who would have to do time.

Urban and Darcy, Fedora already realizes it was Eva who robbed her. When she brought up a missing "piece of jewelry" and Eva went on her defensive rant, at one point she said, "Why would I steal a necklace?" Fedora got a knowing look and said, "I just wanted to be sure."

Thanks to all the recappers for their excellent coverage of this show -- I'm working the night shift this semester and typically end up watching a whole week's worth at a time. But I couldn't give it up; it was just too good.

Yeah the whole patricia dropping the night poor decision with Helena stand ing right there. Nice but then Hector following Helena and Patricia following up and telling the whole thing in front of all the hospital people.

Also hectors kid. For the love of God does that kid ever sleep and why do all the adults discuss every adult situation in front of the kid...This kid needs a stiff dose of Ritalin.

The previews made me rofl. "Hey young man you got a rocket in pocket". It"s the sharks and the jets.

Please please let there be accompanying dancing singing and finger snapping.

Also not to be mean..but it seems Helena while she is a nice person, she ia a TRAGEDY magnet. She is like someone from Greek tales of yore. The punishments just keep coming.

Fedora needs to speak up, but I am guessing she is waiting for hard evidence. That evidence could come from Rebecca's home or the pawn broker. She might also be concerned that Alicia would not believe it otherwise, especially in view of their rift.

I had another thought about Gutierrez......Karina trusts him. We've all commented how smart and astute she is, she knows there is corruption around her - Cholo's life is in danger and Mujica is a total bastard but she has bonded with Gutierrez. She called him out of his office because she trusted him to protect her that might be revealing since she has been working with him side by side for months. The audience still doesn't know him at all, but maybe Karina does.

Urban, Eva's thievery will be revealed but I suspect that won't be for a while. I think it would be best if it weren't Fedora's accusation for the reasons you mentioned.

Eva has never been able to resist temptation and she will likely lift something of Rebeca's and will be caught red handed by the cameras.

Darcy, many episodes ago I speculated Karina and Gutierrez might end up together and still think that's a possibility. We've seen he isn't perfect but neither is she. I'd give a pretty penny to know what ran through Karina's head as she saw Mabe and Martin's goodbye :)

Karina would obviously feel threatened by Mabel because she is "age-appropriate" and attractive. She also appears to be ethical in her work. It seems that Martin and Alicia will have to keep explaining themselves up to the final moments.

I hope when thus airs in Mexico we can read viewer comments from there.

Gutierrez is an attractive dude -- check out the link in the previous thread -- so I would like to see him in future series. I hope he turns out to be an honest cop after all. He seems to have Karina's back so I hope he is investigating Mujica.

There are so many awful people in this novela. It will be interesting to see what anvils the writers are lining up for them.

I wonder what will happen to Horacio's treasure room at the end.

TU AMOR ep 105 part 1

Helena, Camila, and Claudio are talking in Horacio's kitchen. Everything that happened is my fault, Helena says. I didn't realize what Leonardo did, and I pushed Hector away. That's why he slept with Patricia. I don't know if I can forgive him, or how. Forgive me for getting involved, Camila says. I don't mean to defend him, but you weren't together when it happened. If he decided to get involved with Patricia it was his right. Yes, Helena agrees. I pushed him to that, and you don't know how much that hurts me. You'll be fine, Camila says. He loves you. Horacio comes in, dressed in his sweats. They all wish him well in the fight.

Alone in her room, Helena gets a call from Illusión magazine. Of course I'll confirm my attendance at the meeting, she says smiling. I'll see you later. Designing is the only thing left for me, she thinks, picking up her portfolio. I won't let this dream escape.

Rosa Maria is in Majo's room when she gets the call about Guillermo from Adelaida. Take good care of him, she says, I beg you. Don't worry, Rosa Maria responds, I'll take care of him personally. It seems like you're going to need a heart in good condition, Judith says. Majo's is available and you already know the price.

Hector and Patricia stop by Consuelo's house so Mina can see that he's OK. Mina asks to go with them to Patricia's so she can take care of her father. Camila says that Claudio and Horacio have left for the fight with Regino. Hector tries to join them but Patricia says he's in no condition to go. Helena sees them, but doesn't say anything.

At the market, Ricardo asks Valentina why she wants to fix the video camera. She got it when she was 16, Val says. She's been so sad. Surely there are videos of her that might cheer her up. Ricardo says they have to resolve some things. He now knows why Patricia was able to force her to marry him. There is something else you need to know, he says. I'm going to tell you. It's something I did before we escaped. You knew what Patricia was doing but you didn't do anything about it, Valentina says, like always. The day your father tried to separate us, you didn't have the courage to face him. A vender says the cable is ready and because Valentina is so guapa, she can have it for 50 pesos. Ricardo says he'll pay. The price for him is 100.

The paparazzi brings the video to Yolanda's office. Are you sure this is the only copy?, she asks. I could end your career in the blink of an eye. I'm not that stupid, he says. I know the consequences. When he leaves, Yolanda's detective comes in and shuts the door. I'm sure that video isn't the only copy, he says. I think the one who is behind all this... is Beba. Yolanda looks genuinely surprised.

Helena looks nervous when she arrives at Illusión. She starts to turn as if she wants to leave. She composes herself and steps into the reception area. The manager welcomes her warmly and takes her to the meeting. A team of young fashionistas greets her and the presentation begins. They appear very enthusiastic during the montage of the meeting, and afterward Helena is given an offer to work with them. Acepto, Helena says to applause. It would be an honor.
 

TU AMOR ep 105 part 2

Yolanda storms into Beba's office. Are you betraying me?, she asks. How does it feel to bite the hand that feeds you? Do you know what's in this telephone?, she asks, as the detective hands it to her. It has all the times that your calls coincided with the moments Uriel sent messages. Can you explain that? Other people used the phone, Beba says. Why do you think I'm Uriel's spy? I never thought you'd treat me like a traitor after everything I've done for you. If you want, I'll just quit. Stop the crying and the drama, Yolanda says. You know it doesn't work on me. If you have nothing to hide, give your phone to the investigator, and stop crying.

Enrique goes to Patricia's house to tell her that Guillermo had a heart attack and is in the hospital. She needs to be there so she can sign the secession papers for the ranch before he dies. She tells Mina to stay with her father. She says she'll bring back something to eat. Mina tells Hector that the place they're staying is really cool. She asks him who he loves more, Patricia or Helena. She'd like to stay, but with Helena.

Rosa Maria gives Adelaida and Nora the bad news. Guillermo is in bad shape. He only has a few days to live. If he doesn't get a new heart pronto, he's going to die. Adelaida calls Helena to tell her to come to the hospital. Guillermo is happy to see her. Hija de mi vida, he calls her. Patricia shows up with Enrique and the mood is ruined. I won't permit my father to cede the ranch to you, Nora says. Shut up Nora, Helena demands. You're bothering my father. Oh, now he's your father?, Nora asks, because before you spoke badly about him. And don't get involved in what doen't concern you. Nora, please stop, Adelaida pleads. Nora leaves in a huff. Guillermo asks to be alone with Helena.

The fight will take place in an abandoned swimming pool. Regino asks Horacio if he's ready to get the beating of his life. Claudio accuses him of having something to do with the attack on Hector. We didn't touch a hair on his head, says Cibernético. We don't know anything about that. This is between your father and me, Regino says.

Beba flashes back to a scene with Uriel. He gives her a book with a phone hidden inside. If you ever think that Yolanda is about to discover you, he says, give her that phone. It's exactly the same as yours except there's nothing compromising on it. The investigator checks Beba's phone and says there is nothing suspicious on it. Beba says she doesn't want to work in a place where she isn't trusted. Stop the tantrums, Yolanda says. I had to make sure, that's all. Are you going to help me find the spy?

Valentina charges the video cam and turns it on in her room. A disturbing image appears. Hurry up my love, a woman says to a young man in bed. Gullermo is coming and I don't want him to find us naked. Nothing will happen, the youth says. Why don't you lie down a little while? That's Helena's mom, Valentina realizes, cheating with her novio. It's proof Helena never lied. This could save her relationship with her father.

Claudio warns his father to be careful with Regino. He's a trickster, he says, he'll try to surprise you with something. Just be careful, this is ridiculous. You're putting each other at risk. I told you I don't want to do this, Horacio says. But I have to, to save the barrio.
 

TU AMOR ep 105 part 3

In the hallway of the hospital, Patricia tells Enrique that every time Nora opens her mouth she wants to kill her. At this stage, that's not a bad idea, Enrique responds. I helped Guillermo put some life insurance in Nora's name. How does that help us?, Patricia asks. You just said you'd like to be rid of her, Enrique explains. If she died or had a serious accident the insurance money would cover the cost of repairing the mansion if they determine it was arson. You're crazy, says Patricia. Don't even think about saying something like that again. OK, he says, I just wanted to make it clear that there are other options.

Regino asks Cibernético if he brought the knife. Have it ready, he says, because if something goes wrong... Regino explains the consequences of the fight to the witnesses around the edge of the pool pit. Horacio and I agreed that whoever loses this fight, and I assure you it won't be me, must leave the barrio forever. The fight will go on until one of us submits or can't continue fighting. Horacio turns to tell Claudio not to help with the fight. When he turns back, Regino takes a cheap shot to his face. This is fun, he says.

Ricardo gets tired of David looking at him in the waiting room. Do you want to say something to me?, Ricardo asks. I want you to know that if you need to vent I'm here to listen, David answers. Sorry for meddling, but I noticed your marriage is really cold. You don't have a job, your relationship with Camila is somewhat strange. This might be the time for you to rethink what you want for the rest of your life. You're too young to throw it all away. You're a bomb about to explode. I can see it in all of your gestures. If you look in the mirror you'll see the one really responsible for much of what happened to you. I'm not responsible for anything, Ricardo insists. It's not my fault my mother cheated on my dad with a vile chauffeur. And thanks to that my father hated me and made my life impossible.

Alone with him in his room, Guillermo tells Helena how much he wishes he could go back to a time before everything happened between them. Let's not think about the past, she says, but what's to come. I won't contradict you he says, at least for now. But I need to confess something to you. I'm at the point of doing something crazy in order to fulfill one of Nora's whims. I almost withheld aid from the orphans so Claudio would marry her. I get so angry I don't think. You're used to getting what you want, she says. So proud. So foolish. How handsome you are when you smile, she says. Daughter, it's time that you are honest with me, Guillermo says. Put away your pride and accept that it was wrong for you to lie about your mother. I don't lie, Helena says. If you don't want to listen to me I don't know what will happen to our relationship. She takes her bag and leaves.

Luna gives Hector a call. She says she heard he was in the hospital. I almost died at the thought, she says. I'm coming to your house right now to see you. I'm not there, Hector says. I'm at Patricia's apartment.

It was a bit surprising Yolanda ran right to Beba to confront her. Doesn't she usually ruminate on how to serve her ice cold revenge?? I could not figure out exactly how Beba managed to evade the phone dilemma so thank you for explaining it.

Ahh, I wasn't surprised to see that old video camera had the evidence to "clear" Helena. Guillermo wasn't about to believe her, even on his death bed.

"I don't mean to defend him, but you weren't together when it happened". Really Cammy? There is no justifying what Hector did but I am sure Helena is kinder than I.

Oh, and please, we have another potential heart donor. Can the writers please "off" Ricardo? He is irredeemable and is wasting oxygen at this point.

Can someone please tell me why on earth Hector went BACK to Patricia’s to rehab instead of going home??

Patricia draws the line at participating in a murder plot apparently.

Helena has been through a mine field but keeps going. No pride, she wants a job, she wants to use her creativity.

Valentina changed clothes. Finally. But it appears she forgot her dress has buttons down to her waist and didnn't button anything. If you are going for a sexy look, a shirtwaist dress doesn't seem the right fashion choice, to me anyway :)

OK, so no spoiler, but it looks as though someone is going to get stabbed and it is likely there will be a last minute unplanned motion that will engender yet another crisis.

The tide is still turning but waters are still turbulent.

Horacio and Regino have a brutal fight. The advantage goes back and forth many times and both become bloodied and out of breath. Horacio lands a couple of punches that knock Regino to the ground. He's hurt pretty badly and signals for his knife. Cibernético slides it to him unseen. Horacio turns his back tries to catch his breath. You've got this, Claudio tells him. The crowd chants Horacio's name. Regino steps up behind him and lunges in slow motion.

TU AMOR. Another superb recap despite the technical difficulties, JoelD. I'm glad you and Rgv Chick were able to resolve them. And the usual insightful comments, Diana. It was Consuelo who agreed to let Patricia care for Hector, because Consuelo knew that she herself would be very involved and worried about Horacio and Claudio and Horacio's fight with Regino. I personally think that Consuelo should have insisted that she be the one to care for Hector anyway. The Illusion stuff seemed to be cut from the US showing, but maybe I just missed it. Whoa! Enrique would really be willing to kill Nora? Oh please let the general's curse fall hard on Leo this time! David seems to be a well-intentioned metiche (busy-body), but Ricardo is not buying. Maybe Luna can take on Patricia. It would be fun to watch.

Diana,,I have had it with Hector. He is handsome but clueless . Let him stay with Pat . No explanation for him going back to her again and again. I feel like beating him up myself . SpanProf, thanks so much for clarifying it was Consuelo who agreed and why. That said, she should have known better and done it anyway as you noted.

I think Enrique has been fairly low key and his actions - spying, stealing, etc. have been relatively tame compared to the beatings, catastrophic accidents, that have been transpiring. But make no doubt he is dangerous and yes, he would absolutely be up to killing Nora.

I agree that Leo's luck has run out.

Do you think David isn't as he seems??? His addiction humanized him but his complete not only forgiveness but absolute dedication to his mother puts him on the saintly side.

Never a dull moment!!

And yes, love your idea of a Luna Patricia match! Bring it on... :)

I laughed out loud at "congrats for at !east holding out to lovesick ,annoying Luna". Just great.

He is credited for helping Leo and Camila so there must have been a bit of fire in him at one time, right? Granted, he doesn't seem to be doing much presently and agree he looks perpetually exhausted. He doesn't seem to try to drum up new business -it's always car trouble, hanging around the taxi stand or until recently, fending off Patty.

Til then, he did seem devoted to Helena.

I like him but he's no ball of fire. I haven't forgiven him for Patty but Helena likely will.

Part 1


1. Sergio looks like he has been bludgeoned and cannot believe what he is hearing. He chides Julieta saying he is always accused of being the old-fashioned one and here she is pretending to be pregnant. She makes it very clear that she isn't pretending anything and doesn't know why he is so surprised. She is young and fertile. Anyway, if he will only believe "science," she hands over the doctor's report. Sergio concludes that now everyone is coming after him with paternity claims, yesterday it was Lucas and today it is her. Julieta doesn't know what he wants her to say, HE is the common denominator. (I would say sperm donor) In a state of total shock, he asks Julieta if she wasn't using any birth control. Well, she has the same question for him. If he didn't want any more children, why wasn't he using birth control??? (BRAVO, Julieta!!) He tells her that her feminist approach isn't going anywhere. He thought she was on the pill. Nope, she explains that she had an IUD and it didn't work. She informs him that the IUD has a 0.1% failure rate. Still flabbergasted, Sergio insists that it cannot be because he wasn't expecting to have any children now. He was expecting grandchildren but children of his own, that just cannot be . . . Julieta snaps back saying that she wasn't expecting this either. Can he he imagine her changing diapers and preparing bottles? She just got her own show. She wants him to know she wasn't planning on this. Sergio shrugs and says it is clear that this is a mistake and mistakes can be corrected. She can interrupt . . That is what she is going to do, isn't it? She turns without saying a word and leaves a desperate looking Sergio.

2. Martín has gone to see Alicia at Rebeca's house. They are happy to see each other. as they go to kiss, Rebeca comes in. Alicia introduces her and says she found Martín in an elevator full of people. Rebeca wants to find an elevator like that. They go to the kitchen where Alicia has made a delicious breakfast. After Rebeca has been served, Alicia and Martín take. After a few flirty phrases, he asks her why he always feels like he is in quick sand with her.

3. Back at the jail, Gutiérrez and a guard have gained control of Cholo. Moisés asks Cholo if that is the way to treat his lawyer. Cholo says evidently not. That is why he is going to change his. Gutiérrez informs Cholo that the judges don't look favorably on defendants who change lawyers. Moisés agrees and reminds him he has already done that twice. The judge will wonder if he is guilty if nobody wants to defend him. He better just forget about causing a ruckus and get used to him being his lawyer for all the years in jail he has coming. Cholo is taken away. Moisés smirks.

4. Yuri asks Karina if she is sure the guy was trying to kill Cholo. Karina explains he had a weapon even though at the end it looked like Cholo was going to kill him anyway. Yuri is till worried about cholo's safety. Karine says she managed to change him to a different cell even though she need up getting into it with Mujica. Yuri feels bad about that but Karina says that the important thing is to keep Cholo calm. he isn't doing well. he is upset about something. Yuri admits to Cholo finding out that she is going to marry Moisés. Karina doesn't want to meddle, but she knows how Yuri and Cholo love each other. Why is she back with her ex? Yuri says it is the only way for Cholo to get out of jail. It isn't a wedding; it is blackmail. Karina tells her what a rotten guy Moisés is and that the wedding isn't going to happen because they will find the murderer of Simón Guerra first. Yuri doubts that since the wedding is happening very soon.


 

DEJAN


Part 2

5. Sergio follows Julieta down the stairs telling her they are in the middle of a serious conversations and she just can't leave. She doesn't want to continue hearing things that she will never be able to forget. He wants to know what she is planning on doing because she has time to stop . . . She just doesn't have the heart listen to what he is insinuating that she do. Sergio is forced to hear what he clearly doesn't want to. Julieta puts on an act talking about it being their child. It is a blessing that life is sending them. Alicia has three children, the servant one and she has none. What is up with that? It is the fruit of their love and will be the most loved child in all of Mexico. She leaves a disturbed Sergio with a smile saying when she gets back they can plan it all!!

6. Martín asks Alicia why she is being so strange with him. Alicia admits to being uncomfortable in her own life not being able to find where she fits in. She has no peace since life keeps throwing one drama after another at her. Martín tells her he wants to be her refuge, her good news but it looks like that is not working. She assures him that he always manages to help but there is just so much for her to deal with. She tells him aboutLucas appearing at Miranda's party. Sergio comments that they finally found out. Alicia is surprised that Martín knew and didn't say anything to her. Why does she always have to be the lasts to know about everything? Martín says he thought about it and almost told her many times but then concluded it wasn't his place to tell her. Martín knows it must be tough finding out that Sergio had a child with someone else but it has nothing to do with them. She agrees but in the midst of everything she feel like she doesn't feel like or has the energy to compete for him when other women are clearly after him. She is past that. After what happened with Sergio, she feels like it she is watching the same old movie. Martín is upset that she seems to be comparing him to Sergio. Alicia frankly does not know because he is a man, very handsome and is so much younger than she is. She fears there will be a time when he will fall for somebody much younger than she is. She feels like she has lost already. Martín is shocked and cannot believe what she is saying to him. They hear Rebeca calling out and go to find out what is wrong.

7. It turns out that Rebeca burned herself. Alicia tends to her. Martín thinks it best for him to leave. He will be at home. Alicia should feel free to call him for anything she needs.

8. Miranda arrives at school thinking to see more people wearing the purple shirts to support her anti-bullying campaign. Nicole and friends are back to making fun of her. Miranda is upset but walks on without saying anything. She is soon met by Culebra and Ariana with their purple shirts on and a whole bunch of kids outside of the school with the shirts on, too. She smiles.
 

DEJAN


Part 3

9. Karina pays Mujica a visit. He is sorry they didn't have enough time yesterday to finish their chat (I bet) about her promotion. She makes it clear that their "chatting" is over. She is not interested in a promotion with "conditions". Either she deserves it or she doesn't. He still wants to have a chat in private and calls her "Karnita" (dear little Karina). She grabs his "soon to offend " hand and tells him that her name is "Karina". She backs him up and tells him that she is a professional and has nothing to discuss in private with him. She wishes him a good day and leaves.

10. Yuri is upset as she thinks about going inside the Ministerio Público. She tells Cholo she loves him. After taking a deep breath,
she turns and leaves.

11. Cholo is miserable crying in his cell. He mutters that he has to go home. He cannot stay there any longer.

12. Julieta brings Mabe up to date telling her about the dramatic show she put on for Sergio. Mabe laughs commenting that she sounds like one of those women from the telenovelas that manages to tie a man to her with their kids. Julieta says it happens in real alike all the time. Mabe doesn't know how many women Julieta knows that have done just that. He own mother did it. As a matter of fact her name should be the "Julieta Strategy" That is how her mother managed to get married to her father. She accuses Mabe of being so naïve. Mabe thinks that kids just make the problems in relationships more apparent as if they were under a magnifying glass. Julieta doesn't expect to solve her relationship problems with having the baby but she refuses to be s single mother. Julieta will marry even if she gets divorced the next week. She will not allow Sergio to put her out on the street. They can all be sure of that!

13. Yuri confronts Jorge about not telling her about Lucas. She thought they were friends. He says it would not have been professional to do so. Eventually, Yuri has to agree and apologizes but she has one question. Is the lawsuit only for the recognition of Lucas's paternity? Jorge says it is more complicated than that. Lucas wants to take Sergio for all he can get starting with retroactive support. Yuri says that is a fortune. Jorge says the law is with Lucas.

14. Lorena and Gonzo chat. She says his family gets the prize as far as dysfunctional families go. She doesn't have to worry about his family with her. They kiss.

15. Fedora arrives at Rebeca's house. She informs Alicia that if she was expecting the nurse, she told her to get lost until tomorrow because she was going to take care of her friend today. Alicia reminds her that Fabián hired the nurse to care for his wife. Fedora knows that but whatever, the nurse is gone now. She asks to be let in and walks into Rebeca's house.
 

DEJAN


Part 4

16. Miranda thanks Culebra for wearing the purple shirt. Ariana tells them that things are going really well with the campaign.

17. Nicole and friend ask the principal why everyone's wearing purple shirt. Nicole says it is evidently a protest started by Miranda Carranza.

18. Martín has brought Sofía to school but she is late and she has a test. He makes the mistake of saying he was late because he had to settle something with Alicia. (He should've gotten her to school on time) Sofía concludes that now she knows who is more important. He accuses her of making this hard. She reminds him that he and her mother made it hard when they divorced and now it is hard because he is in love with an older woman. She doesn't like it at all and he can do nothing to change her feelings. Well, it breaks his heart that the most important person in his life who is her is against somebody who is so important to him like Alicia is. Sofía thinks that should be her mother. Martín decisively says NO! (Finally, somebody is telling Sofía how it is) She has to understand there is nothing left between her mother and him but what they feel for her is the same. They are no longer the family they were. They are a different family now. Well, (bratty) Sofía doesn't like this different family or the woman who is so important to him. She tells her father that he can stay with Alicia and walks away. He is left tears calling after her. (Bad move)

19. Miranda, Culebra and Ariana are confronted by the principal in the hallway. She asks who so responsible for all of this. She is holding a purple flyer in her hand. Miranda smiles and says she has no idea. The principal says it could be considered an act of vandalism. The person who did it could be expelled!!! (Miranda should be saying pick me!!! at this point) Culebra takes the blame saying he did it. Miranda is surprised. The principal says that is not how things are to be handled. Miranda asks her how are things handled at her school. Are they handled by keeping quiet and putting up with things? The principal is sure Culebra is protecting Miranda at this point. Well, the principal is not going to put up with flyers all over her school and getting the students all worked up.
Culebra informs her that she has no idea how kids are suffering being bullied every day as she sits in her office. She insists she knows exactly what is going on at her school. Miranda asks really??? She has not idea what happened to her friend Ariana. Miranda prods Ariana to spill the beans by saying she needs to take care of herself as if she were her own little sister, Ariana explains that has been harassed and more when she is caught alone. The principal asks who would have done it. Miranda snaps back it was obviously Nicole and Vanessa. They think that can do what they want because their parents are on the school board. The principal
insists they are exemplary students. Miranda shows the bruises soon Ariana's torso and claims that Nicole and Vanessa are bullies. Miranda informs the principal that if she doesn't do something about the situation, the police will be arriving at the school door. She needs to let them defend themselves in their own way. The principal is upset.

 

DEJAN


Part 5

20. At first, Rebeca doesn't recognize who Fedora is and wonders why so many unknown people are in her house. Finally, something clicks in and she recognizes Fedora. Fedora says they can have a nice time and lunch with Alicia. Rebeca remarks she hasn't seen Alicia in a while as Alice stands by and hears the comment. Fedora gets Rebeca to sit down and eat her chilaquiles. Alicia asks how she managed this. Fedora admits to being very stubborn. She cannot live without her friends. Alicia is so pleased that at least Rebeca recognized Fedora. Fedora only hopes they can have Rebeca present a few more moments like this. Alicia has to go and see Gonzo and she is worried because she cannot find some money she had. She left it in her room and now it is gone. She is afraid that Rebeca got her hands on it and has it hidden somewhere. Fedora tells her it has to have been her mother. Alicia gets angry with her mother being blamed one more time. Alicia leaves Rebeca in Fedora's care.21. Eva is back at the casino busy with her "hobby". She is feeling lucky with all the good vibes around her! She ives tea attendant a ton of money to put on her card. She is ready to play!

22. Gutiérrez has a tip. He tells Karina that an informant at the market has called him. They saw Trompeta down there. Everyone knows him fro moving drugs. The idiot came back. They are off to the market.

23. Things are hopping at drug central at the market. Toro gets the news that Cholo is still alive and he is not a happy camper. He gets some better news that he might be able to move some drugs at a school. A student has shown up and is desperate for cash. He lost his scholarship. Toro tells him to calm down. Nothing will happen to him. They are all friends. When he asks to try the merch, Toro pegs him as one of Tompeta's customers who knows that his merch is the best in Mexico. Toro tells him there are two conditions to working for him: 1. Know his place 2. Do a good job. If he doesn't do either thing, he will cut his head off.

24. Julieta tells Chela to do research on irresponsible fatherhood. She wants to know the percentage of women who are heads of household here in Mexico as compared to the rest fo Latin America and the world. Also, she wants to know the emotional consequences that children suffer in single parent homes. She makes it clear to Diablo this is for her program with Sergio, not her own. They are gI\oing to put "the truth beyond all else" when it comes to irresponsible fathers.

25. Fabián has to congratulate Sergio on being a father again. Tamayo remarks he sure knows how to get himself into trouble. Sergio is upset with them making fun out of his unfortunate circumstances. Tamayo has bad news for Sergio. The board has decided that it is not a good time for Sergio to be sold any shares of the network. It seems that the scandals in the papers about his personal life have done him in for now at least. Sergio is angry that the board wants him as an employee but not as a member. He is upset that his life is being ruled by whatever the gossip columnists have to say. Tamayo says he did what he could. Sergio says evidently that wasn't enough. He thought Tamayo was his friend. Tamayo is taken aback.
 

DEJAN

Part 6

26. As the leave the office, Fabián tries to calm Sergio down. Sergio accuses him of making fun of his personal life and sees him as much of a traitor as Tamayo. Sergio storms off.

27. As Lorena, Gonzo and Alicia work are professional kitchen, Alicia tells Gnzo that the start-up money he gave her is gone. She doesn't know what happened to it. He is upset and thinks somebody must have stolen it. She still thinks that Rebeca took it and put somewhere. She is surest will show up.

28. As Rebeca naps, Fedora searches for the money but finds nothing. Rebeca was up and asks Fedora what she is doing rifling through her things. Fedora tells her the truth about Alicia's lost money and explains how she hides things. She shows her examples.
Fedora is upset about the missing money but has a feeling wasn't Rebeca who took it. Fedora suspects Eva.

29. As Rebeca asks why? for what reason, Eva is sitting in tears in front of her favorite slot machine because she lost all of her money due to that possessed machine that robbed it all from her!!!!!! She has to get her money back for her daughter. it is all she has.

30. Gonzo asks why Alicia is upset. She says it is just because they have been through so many hard things and then there is to watch Rebeca deteriorate before her very eyes knowing there is nothing she can do for her. Then there is fedora trying to reconcile with her. Then there is not having a house and . . . Gonzo guesses it is about Martín. She admits to being afraid that what everyone says about them will come true. Maybe they do not have a future together. Maybe her heart has to heal completely to have ore trust in him.

31. A fight is on! Martín has asked Carlota to have a talk to Sofía about Alicia so she isn't always on the defensive. That angers Carlota. If Sofía doesn't like Alicia maybe that means that something is wrong with Alicia. Martín thinks maybe Carlota is putting things in her head. The accusations and the insults go on and on. Finally, Carlota says that Sofía is smart enough to see what he hasn't. His relationship with Alicia doesn't have a future. He tells her that when she has a new relationship, he will be just as supportive of her as she is being of him. He storms out.

32. Sofía complains to Luna about Alicia. Luna says adults invent problems if they don't have any. Sofía invites her to her house to see her dog. Luna says she will have to get permission from her dad first.

33. Toro tells Trompeta that the kid he got looks like an imbecile. Trompeta reminds him of Simón and that Toro has to remember that the kid has to sell to his friends. They can get a market in the medical school through him and then through the rest of the university. Toro hopes won't be sorry. Another guy comes up to warn them that police are at the market looking for Trompeta. Toro tells the others to get lost as he watches Karina and her partner are making the rounds.

34. Martín updates his father on Simón's case. Facundo says that they have to get Karina to find Toro and his wife. Martín finds it interesting that Toro came back just when they accused Cholo of Simón's murder. Facundo agrees and that t was odd he disappeared right after Simón's murder. They feel they re very close to finding the murderer.
 

DEJAN

Part 7

35. Serious talking to his lawyer. He is not pleased that Lucas won the lawsuit. Quijana tells him that is not the worst of it. he has field another lawsuit for support. He wants to take Sergio to the cleaners. Sergio says he has spent his life giving them money. His lawyer hopes he has good records because if he doesn't . . . Sergio wants to know the bottom line. 36. Diablo tells Sergio about Julieta's new topic for the program: irresponsible paternity.

37. Sergio gets into Julieta's face and asks her who she thinks she is. Does she think she can introduce subjects to his program jus because she feels like it? He tells her they are not going to talk about that topic. She finally gives in and says there won't be a word about it.

38. Alicia is going to see Martín and is surprised by Karina who is surprised to see her there. Alicia asks why??? She drops Mabe's name but what does she know about Martín and all of his women. She leaves.

39. Martín is all excited to see Alicia who is acting very reserved. She says they ned to talk. He doesn't like to hear that. She doesn't know how to say it but she just can't anymore. Everything is just too much for her. He asks what she is talking about. She answers saying is his age, her age, his kid, her kids, his ex, her ex, and the fact that in ten years he will still be young and she will be like 400 years old and will be unable to deal with all of the women around him. He asks if his capacity for not being able to love anyone more than her counts for anything? She accuses him of not wanting to understand. He says she is right. He does not to want to understand. She tells him that she needs to be concentrating on regaining her daughters's custody, supporting her family who have all gone crazy over Lucas. She needs to fight Sergio to get back what is hers. He threw her out on the street. She is a very complicated person right now. He says everybody is complicated. She tells him that having fallen in love with him is something that terrorizes her because of how vulnerable she feels. This has to be the most painful decision she has made in her life because she does love him. It is for the best that they break up. Martín is on the verge of tears.

40. Sergio and Julieta are doing their show. After an inspired intro, Julieta squeezes Sergio's hand and says she wants to talk about something else. She wants their dear viewers to be the first to know that she and Sergio are pregnant.

Thank you Jarifa! So much going on in this episode and you captured it all! I agree with your comment from last night that first scene was explosive!

I loved that triumphant smile on Julieta's face when she said she was going for a run and when she got back they could start planning everything! LOL I've said it before but it is worth repeating, Julieta is horrible but Scarlet Gruber is fantastic! She is killing it with this performance :) And Julieta distracting Sergio with the whole irresponsible parent story so he wouldn't see it coming when she announced their pregnancy to the whole world on their program - perfect! I don't think it will do her any good because Sergio will be ruined long before the baby is born, but that was extremely well played!

So judges don't look kindly and defendants changing their lawyers....do they have jury trials in Mexico or does the judge decide the fate. Because if it's up to the jury I think I would risk the judge's ire to get rid of Moises. Also his statement of 'I am going to be your lawyer for years to come while you're in jail' is yet another semi-incriminating statement uttered in front of Gutierrez....it could be somewhat understandable that he would say something like that right after his client attempted to choke him; but if Gutirrez happens to mention to Karina exactly what happen and relay that comment to her, Karina could tell Yuri and she would realize that Moises has no intention of helping Cholo.

I don't understand why the principal was so upset about the protest. How exactly is passing out a few flyers and wearing purple an act of vandalism, or some sort of huge scandal? And Vanessa and Nicole are model students? She hasn't seemed that out of touch until now. Ineffective and useless yes, but not delusional or blind so her attitude surprised me.

Speaking of surprises, Eva stole and lost all of that money!!! I am not surprised by the theft of course just the magnitude of it. I figured she would take some of it not all of it! WOW!! I hope those cameras of Fabien's caught her.

I was also surprised (but pleasantly) by Karina's standing up to Mujica. She seemed so timid and reluctant before and in that interaction, there is nothing but strength and determination no timidity whatsoever. I would have thought it would make her timider but I guess it had the opposite effect. GOOD!!! What I do find hard to believe (although I am starting to think I should just suspend disbelief instead of point it out) is that she still has the time and energy to worry about Martin and make comments to Alicia. With all the crap she is dealing with keeping Cholo alive and nearly getting raped the night before making snide comments to Alicia about Mabe should be the last thing on her mind.

Sofi is right! Martin is making Alicia more important than her. He should have taken her to school and then went to Alicia. She may be bratty but I think she is also being given way too many reasons to be a brat. She is a kid, lacking the emotional maturity and self-awareness to truly identify and communicate what she needs, all she knows how to do to protest is be a brat. And then Martin just goes to Carloca to try to pressure her to help him pressure Sofi to feel the way he wants her to feel?? Sigh....no, no, no, no, no. He needs to give more than lip service to the idea that Sofi is his priority and the most important person in his life then she would have less reason to feel threatened by Alicia. As is, this child is neglected when other things seem more pressing, pulled in both directions constantly, patted on the head and given a pizza and an ice cream, and told how she should feel. I could go on and on but I will stop now.

I really don't care about the latest Martin/Alicia break-up - how many times are they going to do this?

That kid in the market looking to sell for Toro looked familiar. Have we seen him before in this show? Or am I just recognizing the actor?

Jarifa, you traversed the jagged currents of this rocky river of an episode beautifully, skillfully navigating the course fraught with peril, lies, deceit, frustration and sadness.

“HE is the common denominator. (I would say sperm donor)” and “She grabs his "soon to offend " hand and tells him that her name is "Karina" were a few favorites.

Julieta has been extraordinary clever (and daring) at times, her on air revelation proof positive. Therefore, these acts of cunning seem in stark contrast to why she would waste her “special gifts” on Sergio to begin with. His mediocre show was beneath her, she could have aimed much higher. Her “talents” were wasted.

While I’m tempted to say this will likely put the nail in Sergio’s coffin, the public loves a good scandal and Sergio is rife with them! This will make Lucas’ revelation pale in comparison.

“She agrees but in the midst of everything she feel like she doesn't feel like or has the energy to compete for him when other women are clearly after him. She is past that..She feels like she has lost already”. Alicia’s revelation wasn’t surprising, was it? We’ve seen her happiness being chipped away at, and she had two choices. Buck up and disregard what others think or succumb to the idea she isn’t good enough, young enough or determined enough. I am assuming the end will have them together, but I’m less and less convinced it’s the right thing. Sometimes love in and of itself is not enough.

Diana, ironically this was the first time I actually thought I could get a read on our endlessly mysterious Gutierrez, I took his advice to Cholo as genuine, not necessarily good advice as I said above I think Cholo should roll the dice, but I thought he was a sincerely trying to warn Cholo that changing lawyers might make him look bad.

Darcy, thanks. I so agree about Scarlet Gruber. She has been outstanding. Julieta must have been a fun role to play. As for the justice system in Mexico, there are no juries so it’s lotsa’ luck for Cholo. I felt the same way about the kid in the market place. He looked so familiar.

Diana, thanks. I agree that Alicia's reaction was not surprising. I feel sorry for her.She is worn out and has been trying to communicate that for a while now. I can see her with Martín but only when she gets some of her other major life issues settled. Gutiérrez does continue to be a mystery. Fedora is also quite creative.

I found it interesting that they educated Sergio and the public about the failure rate of IUD’s.
Poor Alicia! She will have one more headache when Eva is found out. She sure went through all of that money very quickly.
It looks looks Sergio could be wearing out his welcome at the network in spite of his ratings especially if Julieta is a hit.
I wonder what amount the settlement is that Lucas is asking for.

While she has manipulated the situation well enough, Juleech is now getting out of her depth. She most likely knows nothing of the money laundering. I think SerJerk kept that between himself and Lucas. This is likely to freak her out.

The school director should be fired immediately. Allowing a bully to get away with her disgusting behavior because her parents are on the school board does nobody any good. Nicole was raised to be a bully; the only thing that will fix this is juvenile hall. The posters are not vandalism. WTF does she think she's doing?

There's another legal question that's been on my mind and that is, how much trouble would Cholo be in for the prison escape if he was acquitted of the murder. Let's pretend Moises got hit by a bus (could he please?) and Cholo gets a real lawyer who proves him innocent....would Cholo still face charges for escaping prison even after it was proven he didn't belong there to begin with? Because I while I think they should be able to prove he didn't kill Martin's brother it would be much harder to prove he didn't voluntarily participate in that prison escape.

Gutierrez continues to be an engima. He did seem genuine when he advised Cholo about judge's frowning on changing lawyers; even his facial expression conveyed concern and empathy. I wouldn't mind at all if he turned out to be a more decent guy than we have seen in the past. But I still think the wisest thing for Cholo to do is get another lawyer...and he can;t even ask for Jorge since Moises would sabotage everything anyway.

Here's hoping that Rebeca tells Fedora about the cameras. I was shocked that Eva had the nerve to take ALL the money!

I've also seen Scarlet play the protagonist in both Tierra de Reyes and Cositia Linda (where she played twins so 2 protag roles in one) and she was excellent in both those shows as well! Especially in Tierra where she played a very complex emotional role. A character who was tough on the outside but incredibly vulnerable when she dropped the facade and was alone with her thoughts. It was a very compelling performance, she was basically horrible to everyone all the time throughout the first 100 or so episodes and somehow you still rooted for her because you knew it was false bravado and she was so good at conveying how much this witch of a character really was hurting behind the scenes.

And they acted sober..seriously after that much booze?

I do think Julietta is very good as the villian. SERG has known from the beginning what Julietta was doing. I think like many men he thought he was a man among men.

We should not feel sorry for Eva. All her actions are hurting her family and she does not care. She had been bleeding SerJerk for money saying it was for her medications when Mexico has had universal healthcare since 2020. Knowing how paranoid he is about his image shouldn't he be smart enough to look into the real reason Eva wants more dinero? She does nothing but criticize Alicia and this is nothing new; she's been doing this her whole life. She rarely has anything positive to say to any of her grandchildren and doesn't care about their wants or feelings. She tears Alicia apart at every opportunity.

Nothing to pity there except what her actions do to others.

There is still time under the laws of Mexico City for that. However, with 6 episodes left SerJerk might still -- temporarily -- dodge the legal hassle and the accompanying scandal that he faces for all his crimes, familial and financial.

Considering the climate here and the fact that we are seeing this before it airs in Mexico I don't think we need to worry about all the evil ones getting away with their actions. However keep in mind that we are still not guaranteed a happy ending for all who deserve it.

Alicia is in for more devastation when she finally discovers what her malicious , judgemental mother has been up to. Eva has thrown so many stones at people . Is there anyone she has missed lecturing and criticizing? Some of those stones she so viciously threw are heading back toward her. I am quite sure that Eva pushed Alicia into marrying Serg for his money and fame . Karma awaits, and it is a sure bet .

I agree with the assessments of Eva's wickedness, lack of a moral center, lack of compassion or regard for Alicia. She deserves for the anvil to fall on her. But I think that the acting of Susana Dosamantes, the actress portraying Eva is great. She seems to be having a lot of fun with the role and her superb acting increases our outrage against Eva.
