DEJAN – Ep. 68, Part 1

Alicia tells Sergio that he shouldn’t be surprised that she is there; she will not stay away as long as her children need her. When Juls tells Sergio that he should set up a cot for Alicia in the storage room, Alicia tells her that she has much better things to do than look at her face…her children are her priorities and Juls better not butt into their business….as long as Juls lives in the same house as her daughters, Alicia will be there whether she likes it or not. If Juls has even a few brain cells, she should know that she is the one who is not needed in that house. When Juls reminds her that this is HER house, Yuri points out that half of he house is her mother’s.

Fabian tells Martin to put on a happy face, but Martin is upset because Alicia is not there….she didn’t even stay for half an hour. Fabian explains that Alicia is not used to attending celebrations like this; Martin has to remember that Alicia is of another era and he doesn’t think Sergio ever took Alicia to any type of celebration. Mabe approaches and tells Fabian that he is hogging up the guest of honor and takes Martin away.

At Casa Carranza, Yuri assures Sergio that Alicia had no clue that Cholo was there. When Alicia asks why she didn’t tell her, Yuri wonders if she really expect her to tell her that she was hiding a wanted man. Sergio tells them to stop their silly argument and worries about the media finding out…if he has to give explanations, he is through! (we can only hope) After Alicia chides him for only thinking about his ego, Juls interjects that, yes, it is his ego that put food on the table for 30 years! Sergio and she have an image to protect. Juls then turns to Yuri and tells her that she will soon find out how she took a risk in solving her problem because that man could not continue to stay there. Alicia chides Juls for taking advantage of the situation, conducting an insidious interview, exposing her daughter and trying to pit her daughter against her father. Juls won’t listen anymore because she is not used to these discussions of a dysfunctional family since hers was very normal (so she says) and she takes leave. Sergio can’t believe that Yuri would allow herself to fall in love with that man. Yuri cries as she wonders, if Sergio can love Juls and her mother loves Martin, does she not have a right to love?

Miranda tells Culebra once more that she wants to do something so that what happened to her won’t happen to anyone else. She did some research and found that she is only one of thousands; she wants to start a campaign against cyberbullying. Culebra thinks that Miranda is expecting too much since those types of campaigns blow over quickly. When Miranda pleads that they at least try it, Culebra agrees since he prefers to see her like this than depressed. Miranda thinks that the psychiatrist is helping her and wants to do something with all her depression and anger. Culebra thinks that they should take her depression and anger and convert them to kisses, hugs, etc., etc….

Eva searches through Fedora’s things and finds a necklace to pawn…all the while, praying to her saint.

In the bathroom, Juls cries a few “no puede sers” as she looks at the pregnancy test. She then goes out and chides Sergio for allowing that woman to come in and out of the house whenever she wants. Sergio tells her to calm down…what Yuri did was unforgiveable …she might shout to the world that she is in love with a criminal! Juls is aghast that Yuri can do whatever she wants. Yuri should be disciplined…and Sergio could tell her to leave the house; if Yuri Is big enough to love a criminal then she is big enough to solve her own problems. Sergio argues that as long as Yuri is there he can control her (really???). Juls again hisses that that woman is allowed to come and go as she pleases…and this is HER house. Sergio counters that this is NOT her house, it is HIS! (Take that and chew on it, Juls!)

 

DEJAN – Ep. 68, Part 2

Upstairs, Alicia tells Yuri that she is very worried…she put her life at risk. When she asks why, Yuri replies that Cholo is innocent…she wouldn’t have taken any risks if he wasn’t innocent. After Alicia asks how she fell in love with Cholo, Yuri explains that Cholo is a simple man...an artisan. When she would go see him, she would melt with his sweetness…and Cholo has such a bright way of looking at life…it just happened. When Alicia points out that her love for Cholo will be like her love for Martin because it will always be condemned and judged, Yuri FINALLY understands Alicia.

Eva is surpised to find Fedora at home. Fedora explains that she is making herself some tea since she hasn’t been able to relax after the incident with Samuel. Eva thinks she has PTSD. When she suggests that she see her therapist, Fedora tells her that her therapist also caused her some trauma. After Fedora comments that the whole world is strange and nobody can be trusted, a guilt-ridden Eva hopes that she is not saying that because of her.

Back at Casa Carranza, Yuri cries that she is afraid that she won’t be able to prove Cholo’s innocence…he might be killed in jail. Alicia advises her not to stress over things in the past or things she can’t control; she should only worry about what could happen.

Sergio talks to Mujica and chides him for releasing Martin. Mujica tells him that his daughter was responsible and smarter than Sergio thinks…when he gets a judge’s order, there is nothing he can do. When Sergio tells him that the general won’t be happy, Mujica argues that sometimes the laws of the land actually work. After he hangs up, Sergio tells Juls that she should have talked to Mabe who paid Martin’s jail bond. Sergio tries to continue arguing but Juls has to leave…to see her gynecologist.

Yaya sees Alicia leaving and explains that everything happened very quickly. When she offers to gather her things and leave, Alicia tells her that she needs her there to take care of her daughters.

Carlota calls Diablo to tell him that Martin is out, but Diablo already knows. She asks if he has plans for lunch…and invites him over to have lunch with her and Sofi. Diablo accepts.

Gonzo and Lorena discuss the plans for the catering business, When Lenora tells him that they need to discuss their own personal plans, Gono assures her that he wants to live a serious stable life with her….he wants to come live with her.

Eva goes to pawn Fedora’s necklace and is disappointed with the little money she gets for it.

Alicia arrives to find Martin waiting for her since he was worried about her. Alicia tells her about Yuri hiding Cholo at her house and falling in love with Cholo. She states that it is similar to their relationship; her daughter fell in love with someone who doesn’t fit the usual mold and, in other’s eyes, is the wrong person because he doesn’t meet the traditional standards. When she blames herself again for not paying attention to her daughters, Martin tells her not to fall into that trap again. They then go to lunch.

Fabian arrives to have lunch with Carlota and Sofi. When Sofi comments that her father told her that he was with some of his work buddies, Diablo tells them that he was just with Martin and he was well. Carlota asks if Alicia was there, so Diablo affirms and adds that Alicia left early.

 

DEJAN – Ep. 68, Part 3

At the jail, Cholo is taken some food and he refuses. When Cholo throws the tray to the floor, the cop grabs him and tries to force him to eat, but Karina shows up and stops him.

Facundo meets with Mujica and asks what will happen next with Cholo. When Mujica tells that he is just waiting for the order to send Cholo to the prison…and then wait for the trial, Facundo insists that justice is no being served since Cholo is innocent. When Facundo mentions drugs, Mujica warns him not to stir the hornet’s nest and reminds him that he is not a cop anymore…he is just an alcoholic and needs to leave everything to him (Mujica).

Karina lends Cholo her phone so he can call Yuri who is very glad to hear from him. Cholo is afraid, not of what can happen to him but of not seeing Yuri again. Yuri assures him that they will be together again soon. She tells him that she doesn’t care anymore if everyone knows that she loves him.

Toro meets with the man who set up Cholo and taunted him in jail. Toro knew he would return and asks him to get him another kid…one who is dicreet and won’t get as much the attention as Simon did…so that he can move some merchandise.

Martin and Alicia are at a restaurant. Martin apologizes for leaving her alone at the celebration, Alicia admits that she felt uncomfortable...but he doesn’t need to be taking care of her. When she tells him that there is a whole world out there and that the more they go out, the more their differences will be apparent, Martin reminds her that they shouldn’t care about those things. She mentions that she is only a mother and a housewife, but Martin reminds her of all the things she has dreamed of doing. Alicia wonders what he will think if she doesn’t fulfill all those things, so Martin assures her that it would be still be perfect since that is how he came to know her…he just wants her to live.

Sergio goes to visit Prudencia and is glad to see that she is walking better…thanks to his money. He is willing to give her a very generous amount of money…if she signs a document stating that they were never intimate and that she did not have his child

Julieta is aghast that the gynecologist was very happy when she told her that she is seven weeks pregnant. Mabe tells her that a pregnancy is normally good news. Julieta replies that this is not the right time; she has many things to do. Mabe advises that if she is thinking about an abortion, she needs to think hard because that would be a decision that she would have to deal with for the rest of her life. Julieta admits that Sergio doesn’t know about it yet; so Mabe advises that Sergio has a right to know…and he should support whatever she decides.

Fedora finds that her necklace is missing. Meanwhile, Eva is at the gambling machines and scolds the machine for taking all her money.

 

DEJAN – Ep. 68, Part 4

Fabian brings a nurse home to care for Rebeca. Rebeca is very upset because she won’t go to the university with this woman as a shadow! Fabian apologizes to the nurse but she understands. When Rebeca continues her rant about being watched, Fabian goes to give her a tight hug.

Eva is carried out of the casino as she cries that they have no idea who her son in law is.

Fedora hears a noise and hallucinates as she sees Samuel at the window. When she opens the door, Gonzo is standing there so she tells him that Samuel is still bothering her even after his death. Gonzo asks for his mother, but Fedora doesn’t know where Alicia is…all she knows is that she needs a drink and Gonzo needs to join her (uh oh!)

Diablo is leaving Carlota’s house and they kiss. She looks to see if Sofi is around and pulls Diablo back inside.

Miranda is playing her games when Julieta comes in and shouts that she should turn the volume down...she will not allow this in HER house. Miranda reminds her that she is only her father’s lover and she dares to speak to Julieta like this because this s her house…and she won’t tolerate some intrusive woman who only sleeps with her father. Juls has no right to tell her anything…Juls can fool everyone else but not her. Julieta warns Miranda that she has no idea who she is dealing with. Before she struts out, Juls tells Miranda that she smells like a boarding school.

Yuri offers to help Moises with Cholo’s case. When he tells her to stay away since she is no longer Cholo’s lawyer, Yuri pleads with him to let her do something to get Cholo out of jail. Moises has a solution…he can get Cholo out…if she marries him…

Martin takes Alicia to Fedora’s house. They talk outside for a while. Martin would be very happy if they would live together. Alicia would like that, but she has too many problems. Martin assures her that he will continue to insist (so what else is new?). Inside, Fedora and Gonzo are having drinks. He tells her that he is going to live with Lorena so Fedora wants to give him and appropriate good-bye. She gives him several pecks and hugs him tight…as Alicia enters and, eyes wide open, asks “Fedora, what is this, huh?”

And so the episode ends!!

I saw this coming...I knew Moises being the scumbag that he is will force Yuri to marry him in exchange for Cholo’s freedom. I’m so bummed out right now. Moises is the most unethical, unprofessional, pompous scumbag ever...he’s not even that cute too!!!! My only consolation in all this is the fact that this upcoming marriage will be a fiasco and very very short. He doesn’t love Yuri, she’s only a means to an end for him, her surname and family background matters more to him than the woman herself. Now on to Sergio and Julieta the unhappy and unhealthy adulterous couple; here’s my theory...Sergio will obviously end up disgraced and alone and if Juli is thinking about an abortion she might die from complications or also end up alone and super disgraced. At this point I’m excitedly waiting for two main events to happen...Mujica’s arrest for his evil ways and Lucas’ reveal to everyone as Sergio’s son.

Thank you, RgvChick, for the excellent recap. Your “no puede sers” had me chuckling this morning. There was much that that would be the appropriate response to last night.

Best scene: Eva being carried out if the casino. I wonder where they put her. Did she end up seated on the street outside the door on the sidewalk among thousands pf pedestrians passing on by or did they dump her outside among those masses and take their chair back? Wish they had shown her destination.

I disliked the plot turn with Yuri and Moisés. If he knows how to get Moisés out, some other lawyer does. He isn’t any genius.

Julieta should know taking the pregnancy test over and over again won’t change the results. Too funny. I still expect Sergio or someone to see them in the trash in the bathroom. We have seen her throw away two. Seven weeks pregnant, Julieta needs to make up her mind like now. Tell Sergio? Don’t think so after hearing the house was HIS.

So, Fedora gets caught with her hands in the cookie jar, so to speak. Might Alicia end up at Martín’s? Oh, yeah, she has that sticky fingered ball and chain called Eva to drag behind her.

Wow, I felt bad for Sofi last night! She is STILL waiting to see daddy after his release from prison and now mommy is trying to sneak in some cuddle time under her nose? Who is thinking about poor Sofi? I am sorry Martin is supposed to be in excellent father and our galan and we are supposed to believe celebrating with his friends, chasing after Alicia and now lunch are all priorities before checking in with his worried daughter? I don't buy it. Seeing Sofi should have been #1 on that list! Alicia has already found time to go to Yuri, Martin should have told everyone right when he was released at the station 'Sounds great, first I need to go see my daughter and reassure her everything is okay and then I will meet you at the bar.'

Alicia walks in on Fedora and Gonzo hugging! Hugging.... It should be easy enough to explain, especially with Gonzo moving out. I really hope a big reveal and fight doesn't happen right now. I am not sure Alicia does actually need to know but if she does I hope it is not revealed now. Fedora is already clearly traumatized with Samuel she needs her best friend right now! Let Alicia find out about the affair 3 years from now and get upset then!

I agree Jarifa, Yuri doesn't need to get married, Cholo needs a new lawyer!! Even if she was stupid enough to marry him I wouldn't trust to defend Cholo well, there has to be other lawyers available!

Who is this new police guy and where the hell is Gutierrez?

Eva saying do you know who my (ex) son in law is? LOL lady no one cares who your son in law is.

Juleech is more than living up to our name for her. She is trying to gaslight SerJerk into giving her the house! She has no idea she is dealing with the master if this dark art. We all knew sooner or later she would end up being double-teamed by SerJerks's daughters after Alicia's one-two punch. Miranda was on fire!

His latest attempt to bury the truth with money is definitely going to bite him on the arse. Prudencia should go to Alicia about this. What a circus that courtroom would be! We know Lucas will not let his mother sell out after all this. And who drew up that document?

When Eva accused Marcela of being a criminal she was setting her up to take the fall for the theft of Fedora's necklace. No redemption for Eva! Being carried out of the casino is the beginning of her ultimate humiliation.

What effect do these police corruption stories have on the Mexican police force? Do they do anything at all to clean up the corruption?

All this will make for a juicy story for Martin to deliver on the news at the end.

I agree that now is not the time -- or will it ever be the time -- for Alicia to find out about Fedora's fling with Gonzalo. I kept hoping that she would never find out because this could alienate her from both of them.

Rgv Chick, this was so heavily laden with dialog, yet you managed to do a simply superb job of capturing not only the conversations but all the action. And splendidly too!

The revelation of the evening had to be “When Alicia points out that her love for Cholo will be like her love for Martin because it will always be condemned and judged, Yuri FINALLY understands Alicia”. The overarching theme of this TN seems to be that the course of true love never, ever goes smoothly.

Rgv Chic “Martin assures her that he will continue to insist (so what else is new?)” perfectly reflects his dogged persistence. That said, Darcy you are absolutely right in that Martin should have beelined right to Sofia. Friends are important but family is forever.

I am torn between my two favorite scenes of the night. Eva, sitting in her chair, being carried out of the casino or Sergio telling Julieta it is HIS house, after she tries to get Yuri expelled. Jarifa, I laughed out loud at “Did she end up seated on the street outside the door on the sidewalk among thousands pf pedestrians passing on by or did they dump her outside among those masses and take their chair back?” which was just great.

“Moises is the most unethical, unprofessional, pompous scumbag ever...he’s not even that cute too!!!!” had me smiling away MaameAdwoa. So, so, true! Please comment more often! 😊 I have every confidence Yuri will not march down the aisle for or with Moises.

Karina to the rescue again. Seemingly brittle outwardly, she is kind where it counts most, the heart.

I also hope there is no fallout from Alicia seeing Fedora and Gonzo hug. After all Gonzo has seemingly made his choice of the bland Lorena. And they are adults, not really needing to explain themselves. I fear my words will fall on deaf ears though…

"Another era"? Diablo isn't called that for nothing.

I hope they dumped Eva on the sidewalk. That will be her story if pressed, so we can't be sure if it is the truth.

Thanks for providing Moises' motive for demanding that Yuri marry him. She should tell him that her father's name will be an albatross once there is a scandal. She should feel that coming.

Juleech does not want to be pregnant but she could try to use the baby as leverage. If a judge looks at this Alicia would get the house: She is entitled to half by right and the rest as punitive damages to be paid by SerJerk.

I forgot to comment on the Miranda and Julieta scene. I was once again struck by the change in Miranda in this scene. So self assured. I enjoyed the way she stood her ground and got right up in Julieta's face but she did it without throwing a fit. No rounds of her usually favorite phrase 'I hate you' and no stomping off in a huff. That was impressive. I do feel like the overnight switch is a little rushed and unrealistic but I guess they needed to advance the plot with only a few episodes left. Also, Julieta actually seemed taken aback a little.....I wouldn't have bet Miranda could be a match for Julieta but last night she was!! And it was awesome to see!

Well, the most satisfying scene was Evileva being carried out of the casino on that chair. If they left her in it after depositing it outside on the sidewalk, her first stop will be the pawn shop to get some cash for the chair. She has no scruples as she criticizes anyone in her orbit. Hey, people who live in glassbouses....shouldn't .

I'm absolutely freaking out that Martin did not go home immediately to take a long hot shower all by himself. After all that time in the slammer, the stench must be intense.
And yes, of course, then see his daughter. One could really sense Alicia's discomfort at the get-together. Mayrin is a fabulous actress as well as beautiful. Also having Alicia being penniless and needing to work is ridiculous. Any lawyer worth his salt would have had worked out a significantly secure financial situation for her after 30 years of marriage as a loyal housewife.

TU AMOR ep 99 part 1

Doctor, do something!, Valentina pleads, as he examines Carlitos. We have to take him to emergency surgery, he says, calling for a stretcher. Samara goes to Rosa Maria's office to tell her and Caludio the news. The cardiologist said they have to give Carlitos a pacemaker, she explains. RM leaves to prepare for surgery.

Helena is getting ready for an appointment with a psychologist. Consuelo thinks it will go very well for her. Majo's spirit tells her that if she goes to the appointment, she may never see her again. Consuelo sees her hesitation and gives her an encouraging hug.

Nora is giving a television interview in one of Yolanda's offices. I want to share some great news with my followers, she says. I'm engaged. My fiancee bought me this beautiful ring. He's a great lawyer and works for my father, Guillermo Vargas. We still don't have a date yet, but the important thing is that our love is the greatest in the world. Congratulations, says the reporter, show us your ring. Patricia looks on as Nora preens in front of the camera.

Leonardo returns to his apartment nursing a head wound. He checks an old box filled with jewelry to make sure it's still there. He gets a call from Horacio who says he needs to talk to him. He says he'll come to Leo's. I'm not going to beat around the bush, Horacio says when he gets there. Did you take some jewelry from my house? What happened to your head? I don't know what you're talking about, says Leonardo. I had a couple of drinks and I fell. The jewels in that room have a terrible curse, Horacio says. What room?, asks Leo, and not even a child would believe in a curse. Well, others didn't believe in the curse either, says Horacio, and they paid a very high price. Well, you've been warned. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you. I could never forgive myself. You're like a son to me, he says, and leaves.

Ricardo is getting dressed in front of a mirror when he gets a call from Camila. I need to talk to you, she says, and it has to be today. He says he's at a hotel because Guillermos's house had a fire. I'll send you the address. Kisses.

Adelaida is sitting on a bench in the yard of the new house. Are you worried about something?, David asks. Maybe I could help. Come, sit down, she says, taking his hands. Your uncle just confessed to me that he has very little time left to live. His heart is very bad. Only a transplant can save him. I know how much you love him, says David. I'd do anything not to see you suffer. I could donate my heart. Thanks for offering, she says when she recovers. You're incredible, but I didn't find you just to lose you again. God granted me the miracle of knowing you, David says, and I would do whatever it takes to make you happy.

In the orphanage auditorium, a boy teases Mina about her boyfriend being in the hospital. She makes him repeat what he said and punches him in the face. A teacher arrives and sends her to the office. Another boy taunts the victim, calling him a crybaby. Violence doesn't solve problems, says madre Aurora, pouring Mina an orange juice in her office. I know you're suffering because of Carlitos, but that doesn't give you the right to harm your companions. That boy said he was my boyfriend, says Mina, but he's like a brother to me. I don't know what I would do if he died. You have to have faith, says sister, God's miracles come from the most unexpected places. God listens to children more because of their pure hearts. We're going to pray very hard for Carlitos. Mina runs to her father when he picks her up. She says she has an idea. She could sell or raffle her video game to help him raise money. She doesn't want to make him angry though. I won't be angry, Hector says. Sell or raffle the game, but don't give me the money. Use it to help Carlitos. You're the best dad in the world, Mina tells him.
 

TU AMOR ep 99 part 2

While Claudio and Valentina wait for news of Carlitos, Nora's interview comes on the hospital television. What?, says Valentina. You didn't give that ring to Nora, right? She can't keep doing this. She's committing to you publicly. I need to talk to her. Maybe that's exactly what she wants, says Claudio. Of course that's what she wants, Valentina says. I won't play her games but I'm going to clear up a couple of things with her. At Yolanda's, Nora asks Val why she cares that she's engaged to Claudio. She reminds her that she's married. She's always been so perfect. Now she's sullying the sacred institution of marriage. Yolanda tells Valentina to leave or security will throw her out on the street. Take off, and don't come back, says Nora. Yolanda puts her arm around her in a show of solidarity.

Guillermo is talking to his old friend in his office. He confesses that he's pressuring Nora's novio to marry her by threatening to withhold his support for the orphanage. I remember, his friend tells him, that among all our friends you stood out by demonstrating the most upright values. No, says Guillermo, I was always hard, inflexible. I never lost a negotiation. You're not perfect, says his friend, and I know you failed many times as a husband. But as a father you were faultless, well, until what happened with Estela. Why does that bother you so much?, he asks. Maybe if you talk about it, you'll find the answers you're looking for. What happened Guillermo? You never said why you cut off relations with Helena. She was the light of your life.

Guillermo flashes back to a letter he received many years ago:

Dad,
I know you didn't believe me when I told you what mom did and that you blame me for everything that happened. But you need to know that if you blame me, I blame you. I hate you. You're the most despicable human being that I know. I curse the hour when God wanted me to be your daughter. I don't want to ever see you again. I hate you with all my soul. Everything that happened is your fault. You and only you.

You're an ingrate, he thinks. After everything I did for you, you pay me back this way. I'll never listen to you or help you again. Helena has hated me since what happened with Estela, he tells his friend, as his mind returns to the present. She paid me with the most bitter coin a father could receive. And I'm never going to forget it. Don't you think it's time to heal those old wounds?, asks his friend. If you're as sick as you said, and above all, if you have so little time left, you shouldn't leave this life without making peace with Helena, and with yourself as well.

Ricardo let's Camila into his hotel room. He tries to kiss her but she says she didn't come for that. I need you to be honest with me, she says. Tell me the truth. Do you love me? Of course I love you, he answers, with all my heart. If you really love me, she says, then you're also going to love the child growing inside of me. Are you sure the baby you're expecting is mine?, he asks. Of course it's yours, she says, slapping him. Who else's would it be? You make me feel like a nobody. Understand, he says, I'm married to Valentina. I can't take responsibility for the creature. You're a coward, Camila says. You're nowhere near the man that I need. That WE need. She slaps him again. I'm very afraid of losing my best friend, Helena says. You must get used to the idea that she may not survive, the doctor insists. Should that happen, you'll have to say goodbye to her without forgetting your affection.

Enrique calls Patricia to tell her the news. We've done it my love, he says. Guillermo is ceding his rights to the ranch. We're going to buy it with his own money. Let's get together today to celebrate our victory. Count on it, says Patricia. Lizia overhears their conversation. Patricia goes to Nora's office to gloat. I realize your interview was some type of chess move, Pat says, but it doesn't mean you'll keep Claudio or the ranch. Think what you want, says Nora, I don't care. Everyone plays their cards as it suits them. I wish you luck in that game, says Patricia, and that you don't suffer much if you lose.

Cibernético tells his father that there are limits to what he is willing to do. He understands the need for vengence, but breaking Camila's leg is going too far. Uriel dear, Yolanda says, handing him a photo of the paparazzi. I've given you my complete confidence and the opportunity to work for me. Claudio finds Hector to ask for his help. He needs him to do something bad. You can count on me, says Hector. Tell me what I have to do. I need you to get closer to Patricia, Claudio says reluctantly. I need something I can use against her. Something I could blackmail her with, to free Valentina from her marriage to Ricardo. You can gain her trust. I need something that would compromise her. I can't do it, says Hector. I love Helena. How would she take it if she saw I was getting close to Patricia? No, there are limits I can't cross, and this is one of them.

Rosa Maria talks to Consuelo and Valentina in Carlitos' room. It was a very complicated operation for a child his age, she explains. His heart is weak and doesn't pump blood with the required force. We had to perform an emergency bypass. Unfortunately, it's only temporary. His heart can't bear much more. I'm really sorry. The only way to save Carlitos is with a transplant. I need a donor urgently. To save Carlitos, someone else has to die.

What exactly is it that you want?, Yolanda asks Nora in her office. I want to be better than Valentina, Nora answers. I want to beat her at everything. I want her to know how it feels to always be in someone else's shadow. To be always getting the leftovers, with nobody paying attention to you. Wow, Yolanda exclaims, I knew you were resentful, but not how much. I'm sick of her perfection, says Nora. I want everything she has, starting with Claudio. I know she loves him unconditionally. Taking him will be my strongest blow.

Joel, it was so frustrating not to be able to understand much of what transpired last night. Thanks to your eagle eyed perception and flawless dialog translations, I understood everything…

Claudio’s request to Hector? After the shock wore off, it did make sense but just because he and Valentina have traversed their trials by fire without getting scorched, doesn’t mean the same for Hector. Helena is insanely jealous of Patricia, and with very good reason. She is falling apart and could not withstand another blow. That said, Hector has limits he can’t cross? Dude your staying at Helena’s house put you way over that line already. Sigh.

“You have to have faith, says sister, God's miracles come from the most unexpected places. God listens to children more because of their pure hearts” is so true.

Ironic that Cibernético is the only one who realizes that Leo wouldn’t care if Camila were hurt – it needs to be Leo himself. When I saw Regino so cloise to Camila with that bad, my heart sank.

Guillermo’s heart is hardened to Helena. Too bad we can’t use his heart for Carlitos. The problem is that Guillermo’s heart stopped beating a long time ago.

Uriel didn’t sell Beba to the devil but Yolanda always seems several steps ahead. Is Beba clever enough to outfox her??

Leo’s like a son to Horacio??? Since when??

TU AMOR. Great recap, JoelD and your usual perceptive comments, Diana! Once again, yuck for Nora's very public lies about being engaged to Claudio. Darn! Leo isn't even badly hurt (apparently) by the robber who stole the pearls. And Horacio obviously doesn't believe for a minute that Leo didn't rob from him. That said, it was decent of him to warn Leo of the curse. Is David serious about being willing to donate his heart? No matter what madre Aurora says, good for Mina for punching out that kid who makes light of Carlitos' medical emergency. What a vengeful creep Nora is! Anvil, please. Once more, very good advice from Alfaro. It's almost as if he were divinely sent. Yep, Diana. Ciber is so right that Leo won't care if Camila is injured. So why does Regino seem to be going through with an attack on Camila? How could Yolanda put Uriel in jail? (without implicating herself in something, anyway).

There is some kind of other world connection between the two...

I don't know what Yolanda has in mind for Uriel but her punishments don't ever seem to end up in the hands of the law. She is judge, juror and the culpable executioner.

I missed a lot of this in the beginning cause these people r all so cookie cutter...but my main question is how did no one not notice there was a secret Aladdins cave of treasures? I mean this isn't like somr old walled up closet where crazy dude stuffed Aunt Maude in the 70"s. So did they just think Horacio "Super Hero of "Cock blocking"" was back there with a porn stash or welding chasity belts? Speaking of chasity belts..Surely he had several jewel encrusted ones from his treasure trove of conquistadors lost items.

Also I am confused about this...all these idiots came from some rural spot where they pasteurized milk right? HOW did they all become fashionistas. There was no internet in rural areas when connie and yolanda were young sprits. Maybe a few tabloids that were weeks old at the local la tienda...but i seriously doubt the spanish fall issue of vogue with palazoo pants are in.
 

TU AMOR. For a long time Horacio was alone in his house with just his adopted son, Claudio, for company. It would have made it easier to conceal things. I believe that before she moved to a rural area, Valentina's mother had also worked with Yolanda Pratas (or at any event as a professional seamstress), just as Consuelo had. I don't know that Consuelo or Yolando had ever lived in the country. Valentina's mother had taught her how to sew and a lot about design. I believe that they had subscribed to at least 1 high fashion magazine. Still, it's true that the viewer has to be prepared to put on a beanie hat fairly frequently.

My wife has a theory about what's going to happen next in this TN. She doesn't speak spanish but is pretty good with body language. She noticed the Psychologist was telling Helena to prepare for the possibility that Majo doesn't get better. In a nutshell, she theorizes that Carlitos will get Majo's heart, Helena and Hector will marry, and they'll adopt him. He'll get his wish of having Mina as his sister. It's a great theory, but the characters I want to die are (in aphabetical order) Guillermo,Leonardo, Nora, Patricia, Ricardo, Yolanda...

Joel, your wife's theory has a lot of merit.

It never ever crossed my mind that Majo might not get better. That hit me out of left field. But, entirely plausible.

I suspect Guillermo will live another day (sadly). I would prefer it if Guillermo gets Leo's heart - one blackhearted soul to the other. Carlitos deserves a pure heart and sadly, Majo would fit that bill. I hope it comes down to a bound for heaven organ donor that we don't know.

I do like that Mina and Carlitos will have each other.

Others who need to die - Leo, Nora (they are first as they hurt their own families who loved them). Next, Yolanda, Patricia and Ricardo. For fun, let's add Regino...

SI NOS DEJAN #69 "Everyone Makes Mistakes" (we sure heard that enough tonight)

Part 1

1. Alicia knows what she saw between Gonzo and Fedora and will not be convinced it was something else. Gonzo tries the old "we were just saying goodbye. No gaslighting for her no matter how Gonzo tries to lie and Fedora tries to "explain." . She accuses Fedora of using Gonzo to satisfy her pathological need to show the world that she is still desirable in spite of her fear of growing old. She tells Fedora to get used to it: she has gotten old. Alicia decides is time to move out but before she goes to pack her bags she puts 2+ 2 together. She now knows why Samuel wanted to kill Gonzo. Gonzo adits "it" happened just a couple of times quite a while ago. Fedora explains it was just madness, the wine. . . Alicia is totally disgusted and goes to pack.

2. Yuri cannot believe what Moisés is saying about her marrying Cholo. He insists he misdoing it for her own good. her session with Cholo is the same as she had with Yoga and vegetarianism. That angers her more BUT As they argue, her resolve starts eroding. Moisés admits that Cholo is innocent but he and NOT Yuri has contacts that he can call and get him out. It is true that somebody wants to kill Cholo to protect somebody more powerful. Moisés tells her to sleep on it and let him know when she has made a decision.

3. Sergio is trying to convince Prudencia to take his very generous financial offer so she can avoid having to go to court. She refuses to agree for Lucas' sake. Sergio cannot convince her otherwise. She wants him to recognize Lucas as his son. She was quiet all of these years because Sergio had asked her to. Supposedly, he was going to help her raise Lucas but he never came around; not to even bring Lucas a gift. Lucas deserves to be recognized. Sergio answers that Lucas is a bastard and a professional blackmailer. She remarks that he should think of who his father is. As Sergio starts to tell her how sorry she is going to be if she doesn't sign, Lucas comes in demanding to know why Sergio is there.

4. Fedora tries to get Alicia to stay blubbering on about how vulnerable she was when she got together with Gonzo. Alicia makes it clear she never expected this from Fedora, of all people, at this very bad time in her own life. Alicia cannot be talked into staying.

5. Eva returns asking gizmo to make her some herbal tea. He tells her he can't because they are in the middle of a mess. Alicia comes down the stairs with her luggage and tells Eva to go and pack. They are leaving. When Eva asks why, Alicia explains that Fedora is more interested in seducing her son that in respecting their friendship. Eva attacks Fedora telling her over and over what a slut she is in a million different ways as Gonzo holds her back. Gonzo tells Alicia and Eva that he is as responsible as Fedora that that their affair has been over for quite a while. He is also moving out as a matter of respect for her and his novia. That means nothing to Alicia. He tries to explain that everybody makes a mistake. Alicia states that her friendship ended with Fedora the day she went to bed with him.


 

DEJAN

Part 2

6. Diablo leaves Carlota's reminding her that they said this wasn't going to happen again. Carlota agrees but doesn't see anything wrong in what they are doing. She is divorced and Martín has moved on with Alicia. Doesn't she have a right to remake her life? He just doesn't want Sofía to find out. Magically Sofía appears and asks "find out what?" Carlota lies and says about a surprise. Sofía thinks it must be her dad coming over with ice cream for them all. Diablo needs to go to work. Sofía asks if there is a problem between Diablo and her dad. Carlota says no and it is better she not mention that Diablo was over. It is an adult thing. Sofía is confused.

7. As Diablo is getting in his car, Martín is arriving. He sees Diablo leaving and looks perplexed.

8. Sofía answers the door and greets her father with a hug. He asks Carlota about Diablo since he saw his car outside. Carlota explains that he came by to give them an update about Martín and then she invited him to dinner. Since Martín didn't let them know anything about what was happening . . . Martín says he told Sofía but then drops the topic in favor of eating the ice cream.

9. Sergio tells Lucas to withdraw his lawsuit because he is not going to win. Lucas says that he and his lawyers think differently so they will have to wait and see. Prudencia states that she might have taken Lucas' rights away from as a child but not anymore. She will not be accepting Sergio's offer and rips it up in front of him. Sergio turns and leaves.

10. Eva is moaning about them having to leave and go live in a hotel. Alicia tells her to stay then. Eva doesn't want to be living with that nut and cradle robber. She is now convinced that Fedora had something to do with getting Alicia to be with that hippie Martín. Alicia makes a point to tell her mother once and for all that her relationship with Martín is serious.Eva is upset with the way that Alicia si talking to her.

11. Julieta arrives at the big house and lies down on the couch thinking about what Mabe told her about her being pregnant. She looks over at Sergio's family photos on the end table with disdain and orders Yaya to throw them out because they are garbage. Yaya picks them up at Sergio gets home. He immediately asks Yaya what she is going to do with the photos and takes them from her. He makes a point of telling Julieta that she is not to remove a pin from the house unless he has authorized it. Well, she doesn't feel like living in the Carranza Museum. He explains that the photos stay because he likes it that way. If she doesn't, the door is over there.

12. Gonzo is packed up and apologizes one more time to his mother. She isn't angry just immensely disappointed in him. Alicia thanks Fedora for having them in her home. Fedora begs Alicia to try to solve their problem. Alicia is silent. Fedora tries to talk to Eva who doesn't want to talk to her because she always knew what she was made of. What she did was unforgivable. Alicia and Eva leave.


 

DEJAN


Part 3


13. Julieta approaches Sergio in his room and warns him that it will be the last them he talks to her like that in front of the servants. They can kill each other but it has to been private. He states that Yaya is no servant. She is part of the family. Julieta explains that Yaya is Alicia's lapdog and informer. Sergio practically threw her out of the house. Sergio explains that she has to expect that he has a history and that these people are part of his family. If she wants a man without a past, she needs to find a guy who is 20. She will have to accept things as they are. At his age, he doesn't know what he is capable of doing. Now he is going to leave ALONE and will see her down at the network.

14. Martín and his daughter eat their ice cream and chat. She suggests he write a book or do a documentary about the injustice that was done to him. She can do the first interview. She leaves for a second and Carlota starts asking Martín how he is feeling after such an ordeal. He tells her not to psychoanalyze him. He asks why she doesn't have an appointment. She explains the mess she is in because Fedora fled a complaint against her. Carlota admitshe only has herself to blame and now she is paying for it.

15. Miranda tells Yuri about her plan to do something about her video experience. it needs to go beyond just being only a punishment for whoever did it. Yuri likes the idea but first they have to file a complaint. She explains about Mexican reforms that rule over digital violence and sanction crimes that violate sexual intimacy. Miranda's situation fits these parameters. Miranda can file her complaint on line. Yuri will help her.

16. Eva and Alicia arrive in their hotel room. Eva starts going on about how far they have fallen . . . etc. blaming it all on Alicia! one more time. Eva always thought Fedora would wheedle her way in with Sergio but she was wrong. Alicia tells Eva to stop it with the piñata stick already because we all make mistakes. Eva responds by saying not such big ones.

17. Lorena is all excited to see Gonzo since he is moving in and she has plans for their first night together at her place. He is clearly disturbed and will tell her why later.

18. Martín checks in with Nelson at home. He feeds him and then calls Alicia.

19. Eva is moaning to Alicia about where to put all of her belongings when Martín's call comes in. She explains how upset she is since Fedora and Gonzo were having an affair behind her back for who knows how long. She saw them herself. He asks where she is and says she and her mother both can stay at his place. Alicia thinks it is better he stay away and that she stay with her mother at the hotel. Alicia admits to never feeling like she does now so adrift. Her mother needs her. They can talk tomorrow.
 

DEJAN

Part 4

20. Miranda has another appointment with her shrink. He explains how depression does not manifest itself the same in all persons. As he talks about people who are depressed suffering from lethargy, not wanting to eat and trying to kill themselves, Miranda can identify. He makes a point of saying that suicide wasn't, isn't and will never be the solution. She agrees and he is happy to hear it. She wonders if she is cured since she still feels bad at times. he asks if there is something making her feel bad now. She brings up Julieta. The only thing she has missing to be the "stepmother" is a wart because she spends the whole day stuck to her father. The shrink has to smile. Miranda thinks that Julieta might benefit from an appointment with him since they re all crazy. His smile disappears.

21. Yuri tells her friend Chela about Moisés trying to get her to marry him as a condition to free Cholo. Chela sees him as atypical Mexican macho that cannot stand losing. Chela says that Cholo can ask to change lawyers. Yuri says he could do so before his motion was heard. Anyway, maybe Moisés was right and she is not capable of handling such a case. Chela tells her she is brilliant and to not allow herself to be manipulated. All Yuri can think about is Cholo's life being in danger. Chela tells her if she allows herself to be blackmailed, she will be the most unhappy woman in the world. Yuri reminds her she wold be saving the life of the love of her life.

22. Mujica stops by to tell Cholo he heard that this " little man ' is not very happy with the menu. They can order something for him. What does he have a taste for. Cholo laughs and says he is fine. Mujica is worried that his little friend the reporter is going to be telling everyone they are starving him to death. Cholo reminds him that everyone knows he has a price on his head even his lawyer. Mujica had forgotten all about him because he never comes. They both laugh. Cholo says isn't interested in his case. If he had his way, he would let him rot in jail. That is why he wants to change lawyers. Mujica says he doesn't need a lawyer. If he confesses, he will get 20 years and that will be that. Cholo insists he will not confess to something he didn't do. Mujica wonders if the little lawyer would wait 20 years for him because that would be a real love story like in the novelas. Mujica laughs and leaves.

23. Toro calls Mujica saying he has a way of getting "the stone out of the shoe". Mujica tells him to give him time. With the press sticking his nose in the situation, he cannot do it right now. Well, Toro insists that he can take care of it. He has a guy . . .

24. Eva asks Alicia how they are going to fix this unfortunate situation with no money and no work. Will they end up in a slum somewhere. Alicia cannot take her anymore. She knows exactly what to do to defend her rights and those of her children. Eva says it is Alicia's fault because she won't do what she needs to do: win Sergio back. Eva is sure that at his age, Sergio must be fed up with Julieta.
 

DEJAN

Part 5

25. Sergio is telling Fabián how much he misses the life he used to have: his wife, his home, his children, his own program all by himself. He is fed up with Julieta. Fabián tells him it is a little late for all that. Sergio admits that he made a mistake and threw his life in the garbage. Fabián reminds him that he told him so. Sergio knows it but he has to right his ship and get his equilibrium back. His kids lives are a disaster. Fabián tells him not to forget about Lucas. That thought makes Sergio ask for more tequila. Going to live with Julieta was the worst thing he ever did. Fabián says he managed to ruin his marriage and now his prestige is on the line. He has to explain the impact of what Julieta did To Sergio by interviewing Cholo on her program. She didn't even involve Sergio. Today on the social networks they are only talking about Julieta. Sergio is like yesterday's newspapers. Sergio doesn't like what he is hearing and doesn't think it is that simple. He has a trajectory. His prestige comes from a body of work. Fabián knows that but the only thing Sergio has left to lose is his career.

26. Fedora tells Rebeca about her and Gonzo and how Alicia found out. Rebeca isn't judging Fedora but knows that Alicia must be feeling terrible. Fedora jokes that the good thing about having confessed this to Rebeca is that she will forget it. Rebeca says she will, but Alicia won't. Rebeca says to give Alicia time. We all make mistakes. Fedora says she could live without just about anything but not without her and Alicia.

27. It is time for Sergio and Julieta's program. She is wondering where he is. He hears that as he arrives and says eh will get there when he feels like it. They are still aggravated with each other when the program starts.

28. Martín is at his parents house when Karina stops by to see Martín She is worried about Cholo. She is afraid his life is in danger because Mujica is involved in this somehow. He is covering for somebody and that somebody is using Cholo to get what they want.

29. Yuri and Cholo are each reading from "Great Expectations" and thinking of the past.

30. Cholo finds out he is getting a cellmate. Gutiérrez says he is a killer just like him.


 

DEJAN


Part 6

31. Sergio and Julieta do their broadcast but their anger with each other is impossible to hide. He calls her interview a small achievement and comments how you have to be grateful for a stroke of luck.

32. When Fabián gets home, Rebeca even comments how Sergio and Julieta have this strange vibe going on. He laughs saying that Sergio found out that Julieta isn't the little white dove he thought she was. She tells him about Fedora and Gonzo and how Alicia went to live in a hotel.

33. Fedora is drinking thinking she is seeing Samuel outside her windows. Drunkenly, she calls for help.

34. Gonzo decides to be honest with Lorena before unpacking his bags and starting their life together. He tells her how his mother saw Fedora kissing him. So, his mother now knows about his affair with Fedora.

35. Sergio ends his broadcast. He gets a phone call from Fabián. No, it isn't about his disaster of a show. It is about Alicia. Fabián is worried about her. Rebeca told him about an ugly situation between Alicia and Fedora. Alicia went to go live in a hotel. He makes it clear that Alicia does not deserve what is happening to her. Sergio thanks him for letting him know. Sergio looks upset.

36. Alicia and Eva are waiting for the food they ordered and it has been a while. There is a knock on the door. Alicia goes to answer it and nobody is there but there is a red toy car (just like Martín's) on the floor. When she sees it, Alicia picks it up and smiles. Martín is down the hall smiling at her.

37.Sergio and Julieta are back at home where she is accusing him of being jealous of her. He accuses her of hurting his daughter with her Cholo Fuentes interview. She cannot see it because Yuri is the one who need up getting involved with a criminal and becoming his accomplice. He has had it with her interfering with his kids. His kids are not the source of his problems as she would like to think. He has had it with arguing with her, the problems, her pressuring him. She asks if he is fed up with her. he says he is fed up with it all. Evidently their relationship is not working. They need to stop and think about things. They should separate. Julieta is speechless.

I am really nervous about this turn of events. We should be approaching the time when Eva is exposed, but I think the usual order is to expose the minor villains before the major ones. Samuel is dead, so that means that El Toro and Mujica have to fall next.

Here's hoping that Gutierrez doesn't allow this new prisoner to hurt Cholo. If so, he's part of the corruption in that precinct. This will be very tense in view of Moises' blackmail of Yuri. For which he should be hauled before an ethics committee.

Two narcissists can't be in a relationship. It doesn't surprise me that SerJerk would be fed up with Juleech by now. However, somebody has to tell him that he can't go back to what he had. He can't expect to get his family back, especially if he wants to cheat again. Losing Alicia was the least of the payments he will make to the piper for his actions of the last 30 years.

What the hell does he think he can do to Prudencia now? DNA doesn't lie. If the law in Mexico is ironclad on the subject of identity he can't stop Lucas from publicizing that he is his son. He was trying to force Prudencia to commit perjury. I hope she keeps the torn document to prove this to a judge. I hope they both talk to Martin and his bosses.

Under the heading of No Secrets Remain Buried, Alicia finally found out. We can't fault her reactions to this: If she and Fedora had been friends since Alicia was single, I can picture Fedora having changed Gonzalo's diapers. That makes this whole thing creepier than ever. I'm amazed that Lorena didn't take a walk; I would have.

Can Alicia's and Fedora's friendship be saved? I am not prepared to predict this.

Who will finally discover Eva's second vice (Her first is her toxic criticisms of anyone)? She has stolen jewelry from both Alicia and Fedora to fund her gambling addiction. She stole SerJerk's latest trophy and gambled away whatever she won from that money. She has the gall to demand that Alicia go back to the man who humiliated and impoverished her. When will Alicia finally slap the hell out of her?

Jarifa, fantastic title. Your recap was even more riveting than the episode itself. You related the events with wisdom, clarity and heart.

“Martín checks in with Nelson at home” one of the very few sweet scenes of the evening.
“Fedora says she could live without just about anything but not without her and Alicia”. I believe her.

While I understand (most of) Alicia’s reaction, “She tells Fedora to get used to it: she has gotten old” seemed unnecessarily cruel. She tells Gonzalo that “She isn't angry just immensely disappointed in him” but Fedora is told what she did was “unforgiveable”. Gonzalo is a grown a**ed man and wasn’t talked into or forced into anything. I suspect I’m in the minority but I do think there was more to Fedora and Gonzalo’s relationship than just sex. Fedora needs psychological help in dealing with her Samuel nightmares and Rebeca can’t be there for her and Alicia won’t be.

I hope Moises’ blackmailing scheme comes out in the open and he is permanently disbarred. He is disgusting. However, Cholo is now in mortal danger – I wonder how much longer Karina can protect him. Yuri needs a miracle.

“Sergio answers that Lucas is a bastard”. It takes one to know one. That seemed so twentieth century.

I was surprised Sergio realized Julieta’s Cholo interview was primarily to wound Yuri.

Diana, I think Alicia's reaction to this discovery is somewhat justified. If she and Fedora had been friends before Gonzalo was born she had every good reason to put the primary responsibility on Fedora. Gonzalo is still young enough to be subservient to his hormones while Fedora is more than d enough to know better. Her verbal lashing is also due to the pile of crap she has dealt with since the opening episode.

It will have another target when she discovers Eva's gambling losses and her thefts.

There is no way in the universe that Julieta would have "eased" into taking Alicia's place. She could never replace her. She is not looking for that kind of life. She wants to continue partying like she was still Gonzalo's age. You can't do that forever, especially with an SO old enough to be your father who has a chronic condition. Her objective when he moved her in was to get rid of his children by any means necessary. She was extremely vicious in what she did to Yuri.

He finally had the lightbulb moment about that. If he thinks about it for a few more minutes he will remember that she once suggested sending Miranda to boarding school. She has just threatened Miranda with that very thing and Miranda will not hide that. She will tell somebody even if it's only her shrink. He will suggest she tell her father. Yuri would also fight this.

Not sure whether SerJerk will ever get over his rage at Gonzalo's career choice. This compound situation will likely make that difficult or impossible.

If this were 1950-1963 we would see Alicia and SerJerk reconciling. I truly hope they don't.

What happens now?, Consuelo asks, at the bedside of Carlitos. The possibility exists for obtaining a heart for Carlitos, says Rosa Maria, but we need a heart from an adult. Let me explain what's called domino donation. We have a case of a child that would be the perfect donor for Carlitos. We've talked to the parents, and they've asked in exchange, that the boy's older sister receive the heart of an adult. Her condition is serious and they can at least save the life of one of their children. Oh, what pain they must be feeling, says Consuelo. It's our best chance to save Carlitos, Rosa Maria explains. We only need an adult donor.

Claudio travels to Querétero to meet with the manager of the branch office of a bank. Claudio says he's the one who asked, by phone, if Valentina Fuentes had opened an account there. The manager carelessly states that it's the largest account they have, but when Claudio asks the amount, he says he can't reveal that information. Then you can tell the authorities the amount, says Claudio, because I plan to order an audit of your branch. I'm the lawyer and accountant of señorita Fuentes and we're sure the account has a dubious origin. I can only tell you that in the account there are many millions of pesos, the manager admits. The executive that opened it doesn't work for us. He was transferred to a branch in downtown Mexico City. His name is Fernando Martínez.

Ricardo goes to Guillermo's office to ask if he and Valentina can stay at the new house. That's impossible, says Guillermo, Nora and Valentina need to keep their distance right now. I'm only asking you to think about it, says Ricardo, and leaves. Adelaida says that Nora isn't an easy person to deal with. But that isn't sufficient reason for Valentina to attack her, says Guillermo. Well, with what she did to her, it's no wonder, Adelaida insists. Don't push Valentina away like you did to Helena. You know what?, says Guillermo, I think it's time that you see something. He takes Helena's letter from the safe. Read it, he says. Helena wrote this?, Adelaida asks in shock. You have there, the reason that Helena caused the rift in our relationship, Guillermo says. Forgive me, Adelaida says, I've judged you many times. I always thought it was your stubbornness and pride that kept you apart from Helena You have to show her that letter. Surely it will change her opinion..

It's time to let go, the psychologist tells Helena. You'll never be cured if you keep thinking about Majo with every step you take. I can't, says Helena, please don't ask me that. (My friend, don't abandon me, Majo's spirit pleads. Don't forget me.) I'm afraid if I stop thinking about her, Helena says, she'll disappear. It will be as if she never existed. It might help if you said goodbye to her out loud, the doctor suggests. What would you say to Majo if she was in front of you? Life is a cycle. I hope to see and talk with you again. I know that might be impossible. The hardest for me would not be remembering our moments together. There's not a day that I don't think of you. I think about everything I would have liked to do with you. More travels, more dinners, more stories. I won't have the opportunity to make all those plans together. To share the time and laughter, the hugs and all the nights we spent together. I'll keep them in my heart, to remind me to take advantage of the time I have with those I love. You've been playing with fire on these issues. It's time you get what you deserve. What's wrong? You look like a clam in a shell. Here's the key to Leonardo's old office. You earned it. It's the prize for everything you've done to gain my trust. Unlike Uriel who wanted to betray me but is going to get a big surprise. You need to find out who's helping him with the video. In the wrong hands, it could ruin us both.

Camila is terrified when Regino ambushes her. No, no, don't kill me she begs. I didn't want to do this, Regino says, but that's the way things are. He raises his bat, but is beaten to the ground by David, using his walking stick as a weapon. Are you OK?, he asks. I owe you my life, Camila says, hugging him. Come on, David replies, I'll take you home. When they arrive, she brings him something to drink. She tells him he's always welcome, though her house is very humble. He says he finds it very pretty. She asks him if he's ever been poor and he tells her yes. At one point he even lived on the street. Doesn't your leg bother you like my face bothers me?, she asks. No, there are two ways to see life. Leonardo's doorbell rings. You damn traitor, he says, pulling Uriel into the room. It wasn't me and you should know that, Uriel complains. You should be against Yolanda. You're both the same, says Leonardo, you, her. Everyone that's messed with me is going to pay. Listen to me, says Uriel, I want revenge against Yolanda and I know how, but you're going to have to trust me. The paparazzi you hired when Camila was in the hospital is the same one that Beba used to record her and then modify the audio. If we can get the original, it would be the end of Yolanda. I'll help you with one condition, Leonardo tells him. You have to say that Majo was your accomplice in taking down Helena's taller. Do you agree or not? OK, says Uriel, if you get me that video I'll say what you want.

Lizia sees Patricia and Enrique fooling around at work. She goes to his office and lowers the security camera with a golf club. She rifles through his things and finds a drawer with a false bottom. She removes it and finds what looks like a locker key with the number 139 on it. She puts everything back as she found it but takes the key with her.

Horacio discovers Claudio working on something in his kitchen. What did that girl get you tangled up in now?, he asks. Patricia forced Valentina to marry Ricardo or she would send Nora to jail, Claudio explains. I need to find out what's going on and help save Nora. Is it a real marriage or not?, Horacio asks. They live together but in separate rooms, Claudio explains. If you say so..., Horacio says skeptically. Is it possible that Valentina is the real daughter of Guillermo? I've thought that, says Claudio. It doesn't sound crazy. I think they're using her somehow. There's a knock on the door. It's Nora. Should I call you uncle or father-in-law?, she asks Horacio. Com-pro-me-ti-dos, she says. I love how that sounds. Here's the ring that Claudio gave me the night we spent together. Nora, I have proof that you drugged me, says Claudio. If you don't retract what you told the press I'll report you for posession of an illegal substance. Horacio leaves them alone and Claudio rebuffs her advances.

I don't know how to forgive myself for what I did, Helena tells the psychologist. I left so many people out of work. I feel responsible for not making the right decisions, for putting pressure on myself, for not wanting others to win. That's how we learn, says the doctor. Do you think going forward, you can stop carrying the world on your shoulders? I'm trying, Helena says, it's one of the reasons I'm here. Realizing you have a problem is the first step in getting better, the doctor tells her. Be proud of each step you take. It will lead to your eventual happiness and reconciliation with yourself. Helena gets a call from Guillermo. He says he would like to talk to her.

Hector brings Mina to the hospital to visit Carlitos. I found out the thing they put in your heart takes batteries, says Mina. What happens when the battery runs out?, Carlitos asks. We put in more, says Valentina. We plug you into the wall, says Hector. They're rechargeable. You scared me, Carlitos laughs. Hector leaves for work and Valentina goes to check on Majo.

Patricia catches Guillermo in the conference room to ask him how he's going to transfer the ranch to her. That's up to Enrique and the lawyers, he says. Well, anything I can do to help, Pat says, I'm at your service. After all, it's my business too. When she leaves, Guillermo shakes his head skeptically.

Luna is studying at the cab stand. She tells Hector that nothing is sticking and she's going to fail her exam. Do you want me to help you?, he asks. I can't tell what's Greek or Roman and I can't figure out things chronologically. Hector explains about BC and AC and says the Romans stole their gods from the Greeks and changed their names. You're so intelligent, Luna says. No, if I was intelligent, I wouldn't be driving a cab, Hector replies. Luna says she met someone. His name is Jonathan. You look really happy, says Hector. You deserve someone that loves you. When he leaves, her smile fades like she may have been lying.

Come in, sit down, Guillermo tells Helena in the conference room. She says she prefers to stand. He says he called her because there is something he wants to resolve once and for all. He puts the letter on the table in front of her.

While Valentina is at Majo's bedside, a nurse comes in to check the monitors. Do you think she'll wake up?, Valentina asks the nurse. In fact, she did wake up for a while, the nurse says. She said some very odd words. Doctor Rosa Maria asked us not to tell anyone until we could check what she said. What did she say?, Val asks. Majo sheds a tear and alarms go off. Please wait outside, the nurse orders. Rosa Maria shows up on the run. Is she going to be OK?, Valentina asks. What's wrong? Rosa Maria checks Majo's pupils and tells Valentina the horrible news. Majo has experienced brain death and is never coming back. No!, says Valentina falling apart.

I am torn by Alicia's reaction to Fedora. I understand it to a certain extent, however, I do think it was harsh. Gonzo is an adult, not a child like Diana said but the biggest thing that sticks out to me is you know exactly who your best friend is! If I had a best friend for 30 years who lived the lifestyle Fedora lives I don't think I would be shocked to find out she slept with my adult son. Maybe disappointed and maybe I wouldn't like it so much, but I don't think I would be floored the way Alicia seemed to be. I also agree that it was more than just sex. But Urban you make an excellent point about Alicia being at the end of her rope, everything she's been through since the beginning is built up and needs an outlet. I am just really sorry it has to be Fedora and it has to be right now when she is clear oh so vulnerable! She needs her best friend and I don't think losing both her best friends at precisely the moment when she needs them most is an appropriate price for her to pay.....this show is certainly good at making the vulnerable extra vulnerable. I hope Rebecca too, knows her best friend well and is right when she said Alicia will calm down after the shock wears off. Fedora needs Alicia and Rebecca, and a new therapist, NOW!

It bugs me that the new prisoner was put in Cholo's cell. Why not in Martin's now vacated one? Or if they need to share why weren't Cholo and Martin put in the same cell to begin with??? It makes me nervous too.

And I agree, for the love of God Yuri, don't consider Moises marriage proposal!! Cholo, clearly the smart one in your relationship, said it himself, 'I need to change my lawyer!!!' Yes, get a new lawyer for Cholo and a new job for yourself at a different law firm while you are at it. Perhaps you could take Jorge with you.....

If Yuri was half as smart as she sometimes (but rarely) seems to be she would have recorded the conversation with Moises blackmailing her and him admitting that he thought Cholo was innocent but he wouldn't do his duty to defend him unless she married him.

Miranda continues to be the bright spot. I love seeing her upbeat more positive attitude and especially that she seems to have located some problem-solving skills. It remains to be seen whether it will produce results but I think it's a good sign regardless of the results, she is learning to cope, to stand up for herself, and to find her voice and I say yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!!!

Time for the chips to start falling and I can't wait!!!! Do it now! LOL Or perhaps on Monday....

I have to admit that I was on the verge of tears hearing “My friend, don't abandon me, Majo's spirit pleads. Don't forget me”. When that single tear slid down Majo’s cheek as she passed was just too much. So much life, so much promise, so much love. So very unfair.

I wonder if Ricardo was going to spew lies to Camila promising her a future he has no intention of delivering or if he was going to try to make her decide something else. Thank God David was there. Despicable him.

Uriel is taking a terrible chance joining with Leo. And Leo wanting to implicate Majo warrants eternal life in hell in and of its own.

Does Yolanda really think Beba hasn’t betrayed her? She is usually steps ahead, not lagging behind. She had to get something wrong and it might as well be this.

I’m confused about the letter Helena supposedly wrote. Her father told Helena she was responsible for her mother’s death, that she was a liar and threw her out of the house when she was 15, 16, effectively rendering her an orphan. So, if Helena wrote the letter who could blame her??? She was right!! He had no intention of EVER forgiving her and he's going to use this as an excuse. What a horrid man. If she didn’t write it, who did?

Joel, your wife was intuitive in predicting Majo’s death that I never saw coming. Thank you for this exceptional summary.

I agree with you and Urban that this was the straw that broke Alicia's back and all of her anger and frustration came thundering out. I do think these friends will put the shattered pieces together especially as Rebeca will soon be lost to both of them forever.

I too thought that Alicia’s reaction was over the top, but as Urban stated, she has had so many things happening since the beginning that her cork just flew off, I just wish that the lashing had been for Serjerk or Eva. And Diana, “…Fedora is told what she did was “unforgiveable”. Gonzalo is a grown a**ed man and wasn’t talked into or forced into anything.” Exactly!! He sure didn’t hesitate to reciprocate the hug and kisses when saying his “good-bye.” I didn’t think that they were in a vaccuum sealed lip-lock when Alicia walked in on them, but from Alicia’s reaction, it seemed as if they were; if so, Lorena needs to kick him to the curb.

Urban, I too wondered what Serjerk was thinking when he asked Prudencia to sign that document; even if she does sign it, Lucas can go right ahead and use the DNA test to prove otherwise. I wish Pru had accepted the check and cashed right away...or before Lucas won his case.

How can she miss him when he’s always there.” YESSS!!! Our galán has been annoying from the get go; he’d better be careful because what can seem initially endearing can become quite bothersome.

TU AMOR. Another incredible recap, JoelD and perceptive comments by Diana. Domino donation certainly resolves the size issue of Majo's heart. That other child must be brain dead due to something else. Indeed, Diana. Helena probably wrote that letter when she was 15, right after her mother died. If Guillermo were at all decent he would have forgiven her. That was a very moving farewell from Helena to Majo. So does Yolanda really not suspect Beba of betraying her or is she being doubly devious, something you hint at, Diana. I loved the way David subdued Regino--but it was kind of a coincidence that he was right there. David talks of his current poverty. But earlier, didn't he say he was an industrial engineer? Yep, Diana. Uriel agrees to name Majo as Yolanda's accomplice. Disgusting! Hasn't Luna pretended to be interested in someone before? Maybe this time she's willing to give it a shot but would still prefer Hector. And I see that Monday starts the ultimas semanas. There are so many horrific problems for the main characters that I wonder if they can be resolved in a month. I can't say I'll be sorry to see this novela go though.

I forgot about Nicole earlier; it looks like she will fall before Mujica and Toro. That girl needs to pay for what she did to Miranda and I hope Yuri knows enough about any law regarding this to help Miranda make this happen.

Alicia will calm down because she needs to get things done. She isn't disowning her son; her reaction to him was generous. But -- when you think about it -- anyone with a parent as controlling as SerJerk is not going to grow up at the same rate as someone with two normal parents.

Yuri is now seeing how much Moises is like her father. She needs to find Cholo another lawyer yesterday.

The bald guy put into Cholo's cell is being placed there to kill him. Considering that Cholo has been refusing food out of fear of being poisoned he will not be at full strength.

Juleech could not have come from any normal family. She has insecurities she won't admit to herself, which is why she is such a bully. She is an older version of Nicole.

Prudencia (Sorry, I think she is mostly pathetic) would be committing perjury if she took SerJerk's money at this point. Although -- in view of the fact that SerJerk is guilty of laundering money through the "Foundation" -- taking his name would not benefit Lucas even if he was not involved in the money laundering. There is a scandal brewing that will be a tidalwave washing over Juleech as well as Prudencia, Lucas, and every political individual who was involved in any of SerJerk's schemes. That is probably when Eva's gambling will be exposed. The dessert after the main course, maybe.

RGV Chick - you have an excellent point about the recording of conversations cutting the TN in half but we are almost at the end! Now would be an excellent time to start recording conversations!!! Or just hit him. I want to see Yuri haul off and deck Moises!! He deserves it.

I also agree that the other prisoner was likely put in there to murder Cholo, I just don't like it. I was really hoping that the one good thing to come from Juileta's interview would be that there would be too many eyes on the situation for the cops to try to murder Cholo in his jail cell. I find it interesting that Gutierrez disappeared for a couple days, and reappears just in time to lead Cholo's potential murder into the cell.....I am probably creating intrigue where there is none but this character has been a question mark since day one and I distrust every scene he is in. I don't know if he's dirty or internal affairs but I definitely think he's more than just the average detective just trying to do his job. I am routing for IA, we have enough bad guys in this mess!

I guess I will stand almost (?) alone like the cheese because I do not think Alicia’s reaction to Fedora was over the top. It is about time Fedora hears the truth and takes responsibility for her actions and getting treatment for a condition that makes her look like a sex addict. I think she has enjoyed far too much of “ Poor Fedora” and that has done nothing to help her. So, I think Alicia, should wish her the very best in her life and cut her off. As for Gonzo, Alicia should really think twice about trusting him with any major responsibilities until he has proven himself to not be at the whim of some sexual favor or other shiny object. Sorry, I am not fan if the “it just happened” school of thinking especially when “it just happened” more than once.”

Urban, you and I were thinking the same thing about Prudencia . Sergio finally arrived but is a dollar short and a day late. She and Lucas do not need Sergio’s stinkin’ offer with his DNA in tow. It made the scene humorous in a twisted sort of way.

Diana, the little red car annoyed me, too. Your statement about Martín insinuating himself into any situation with Alicia in spite of her wishes continues. I think his unabashed persistence wound be enough for Alicia to show him the door but she loves it. That kind of controlling behaviors and others will make me always remember Martín as the “goofy galán.” Yes, the “bastard” labelling did seem very 20th C. Sergio made Lucas a bastard so he should pat his own self on the back if that is how he sees him.

Darcy, great point that Yuri should have recorded her conversation with Moisés. She isn’t clicking on all cylinders enough of the time to do what needs to be done being so preoccupied with Cholo’s well being. Are there no other lawyers in Mexico City? She must have some money of her own to pay for one.

RgvChick, I think Lorena should kick Gonzo to the curb. It seems like there is always some “excuse” why Gonzo was in Fedora’s presence yet again. He doesn’t sound like he can be trusted. Yes, the bald guy is there for only one purpose. Cholo better sleep with both eyes open.

I wonder when Julieta will play the pregnancy card. Will that send Sergio to the hospital?

The thing that kills me about Fedora is the timing. I have no argument with her taking responsibility for her actions and she definitely needs to get treatment - to be fair she was seeking treatment until she found out her therapist was a nut case. I agree with that. I just hate the timing. I hate the kick her when she is down element of this. You have a strong and capable woman most of this show and they wait until she is traumatized and falling apart and THEN you have her get caught! It's just too harsh for me. If Alicia had found out sooner and gone off I would have been fine, if she found out a couple years later after Fedora had time to process the trauma from Samuel, I would be fine too. But right now? Now? She is too vulnerable and fragile right now.

Serg is starting to realize that his perfect world is quickly crumbling. Jul also suddenly seems to have tripped a bit ...an unwanted pregnancy and Serg finally putting the brakes on her taking over the house and its inhabitants . Downfalls seem to have started .

The little red car made me go....what ??? In the midst of all this messy mess , Peter Pan , the eternal adolescent thinks this would be a charming thing to do for Alicia ...who has just been thrown out of her home and then left her place of refuge with her best friend after learning that she and her son were \are lovers . QTH???

This show has been a study of friendship between women as they move through life together . Rebecca , Fedora, and Alicia had string, supportive ties at the beginning of this show . They were all living comfortable lives . Then , each of them was struck with huge problems to deal with . ..and such is real life .

I noticed long ago that the writers seem to be showing us the progression of cold hearted , egotistical females ....Nicole>>>Julieta>>>Eva. Let's see what anvils are doled out to each of these females who seem to have no empathy for others .

Juleech's pregnancy could send SerJerk to the hospital. I am actually beginning to wonder whether he will cross the line and actually murder someone in the final episodes.

Juleech trying to throw out the photos is singularly cold and unfeeling. Like it or not, SerJerk has history. She was trying to erase it by tossing out those photos and had no idea -- after more than three years of knowing him -- that this would be an issue? She has no emotional intelligence whatsoever. Her own family must be as toxic as anthrax. When she said they were "very normal" that reminds me of someone saying he was a "very stable genius." In a pig's eye.

The evil women in this tale will fall in this order: Nicole, Eva, Juleech. Carloca has gotten her first anvil and she may lose her license. She deserves that.

I can't imagine Eva staying with Alicia and Martin. The first nasty word said to Nelson and she should be tossed out on her fat behind.
 

It is interesting that the writers decided to reward Carlotta with a love affair with Diablo , who seems to be a pretty good guy . He certainly stood by Martin .She seems much less bitter since they started sleeping together , and she seems to have eased off the bottle she was trying to disappear into. Is losing her license the only anvil she will get ?

Urban, so right . Those declarations people make are often the exact opposite of the truth .

Police corruption seems to be a storyline in every tekenovela. It is a huge part of Kara Para Ask (Black Money Love)which is the original Turkish show that Imperios was based on but so much better.

Why did Gutierrez tell Cholo that the new cellmate was a killer just like him ? Seems that G. Believes Mujica.

Wno and what will get the anvils rolling in this galanless tale ? So far , Martin hasnt done much to help anyone, including himself.

For me , Fabian is the closest thing to a galan in his steadfast love for Rebecca. Now that's true love , true soulmates loving for better or much worse , in sickness and in health. No, there were no family photos in Juleech's apartment or dressing room. That could be either because they disowned her or she disowned them. When she had the DUI accident we found out that she had relatives in Monterrey, but they never showed up to visit her in hospital. She didn't even get a phone call.

We speculated on Nina of PyP back in the day, but we never saw any relative from her family of origin. Had that story been written as originally planned we might have, but that was also 57 episodes longer. There would have been room for a digression into her past of poverty. Julia had a toxic father and a nice sister. SND has no room for this. Of the primary characters only Alicia and Martin have parents. His brother dies in the opening episode and we assume that both Alicia and SerJerk were only children. We know she was for sure and he never mentioned having had a brother or sister.

Mabel should watch her back around Juleech. So should Chiquis.

Alicia's reaction to Fedora/Gonzo was understandable, but she didn't have to go there with the age comment. She of all people, who has been on the receiving end of ageist comments from EVERYONE regarding her relationship with Martin, should have never uttered those words.

I think Cholo would rather get killed in jail than to have Yuri marry Moises in order to save him. She should consult with Cholo before she agrees to anything. But she won't. She'll agree because she thinks (stupidly) that Moises is the only one that can save Cholo. If she agrees, she should tell him they won't get married until Cholo is completely exonerated and free, back with his bonsais and alebrijes.

Alicia had probably heard the ageist crap so many times she wasn't thinking. The age difference between Fedora and Gonzalo is truly egregious, at least 25 years. She was pushed too far.

Cholo probably would rather die than see Yuri marry Moises, but the writers better not go there. Their mistakes so far have been minor and I don't want to have to scold them after the finale.

I still want Juleech to lose her beauty at the end so she can't trade on it.

I would even say in that moment of anger and shock , Alicia was looking to stick it to Fedora. Why wouldn't she ? Fedora messed with her child. No matter the age or sex, right or wrong, Gonzo will always be Alicia's baby.

Great discussion regarding Alicia's reaction to the Gonzo/Fedora relationship. As Darcy pointed out, I think the timing had much to do with how severe Alicia's reaction seemed to some of us. I cringed and did feel sorry for Fedora when I saw her on the floor, crying and hallucinating. If you think about it, Fedora's only friends are (were) Alicia and Rebeca. She really needs a lot of support right now and a good psych; maybe someone can give her the contact info for Miranda's psychiatrist...this is just another instance of Carlota's inadecuacy as a psychologist, her license shouldn't just be suspended, it should be completely revoked.

Absolutely. Carloca should not be allowed to practice again. I agree that Miranda's shrink could treat another patient.

Well, it looks like Serg has uninvited Jul into the house . Can she return to her apartment , or will she be living In her dressing room.

Susanlynn, some sources indicate that "Dejan" has 80 episodes, others indicate 82. So there are 11/13 episodes left; and this will be replaced by "Vencer el Pasado" which starts on October 12th.

It's getting to be a pretty big ship isn't it??? Very funny Nina and very true.

I don't think there's hope for Sergio. He seemed to have realized he made a mistake (many actually). He lost Alicia a long time ago and that ship has sailed. He should try and salvage his relationship with his children, especially Lucas. Next, salvage what's left of his career after Julieta finishes decimating it and him as she climbs over his rather lifeless body in her stilettos.
