ECDLP #116

PART ONE

- Rebeca tries to say that Clara is lying and making things up. Clara says that she is only saying what she saw and heard that day. Magdalena asks Clara to wait for her outside. Clara complies.

- Magdalena slaps Rebeca saying that just the day before Rebeca was indignant that she unfairly accused her of killing Adriana. She tells Rebeca to have the guts to recognize it. Magdalena says Ricardo was right: Adriana knew why he had left her at the altar and Adriana confronted Rebeca but in order to silence her and steal her husband Rebeca killed Adriana. Rebeca confirms they were arguing but swears she didn’t touch Adriana, the railing just broke. Magdalena asks then if she didn’t do anything why did she stay quiet all these years, why did she lie? Rebeca says that she was afraid, especially if Alonso blamed her. Magdalena says it really didn’t do her any good because while she did marry Alonso, he died despising her. Rebeca asks her if she thinks it’s been easy for her carrying that weight or that she hasn’t suffered for Adriana’s death. Magdalena says that from that day forth Rebeca will suffer even more because she will not hesitate to take Rebeca down.

- Clara asks Magdalena if she needs help with anything. She feels bad about causing Magdalena pain. Magdalena admits that she is hurting but thanks Clara for helping her clarify everything. Clara says she feels relief for finally telling the truth. Magdalena offers to find a way to help Clara with Benito’s medical bills. They leave as Tere returns home.

- Rebeca sits on the bottom step of the stairs crying and flashes back to Adriana’s accident. She rushes upstairs when Tere asks her what’s wrong.

- Nora wants Roman to convince Lucia not to go to the police. He refuses and says Lucia will make her own decision but acknowledges that Lucia is confused about what to do. He asks Nora why Lucia has to be loyal to her when she has never been loyal to Lucia. Nora has betrayed Lucia before. Nora asks why he’s trying to make her feel bad and he responds that he’s just telling things how they are. Nora says then she’ll handle Lucia herself. Roman says that if she leaves not to come back.

- Lucia goes to see Mario to seek counsel. She’s vague when she asks that if a person knows their loved one has committed a crime is that person obligated to turn them in. Mario inquires on the type of crime and Lucia says any of them: robbery, extortion, murder etc. He tells her that no, family members aren’t liable if they cover up a crime of their loved one

- Rebeca asks Nora if she’d want to go away with her somewhere but Nora refuses saying she doesn’t want to be near her (R). Rebeca says it’s Nora’s only option because Lucia will surely betray her and turn her in.
 

ECDLP #116

PART TWO

- Amador and Brigida have gone to put the shares of the factory officially in her name. Amador hopes that things between them can go back to the way they were before. He tells her that Rodrigo is quitting his job at the factory because he’s an imbecile. He wants the topic of the factory shares to stay between them and asks Brigida not to tell Rodrigo, Brigida agrees.

- Brigida berates Rodrigo for quitting his job because before he got that job back he was unemployed for a long time. Rodrigo mentions possibly looking for work outside of Puebla. Brigida tells him that she and Amador reconciled and cryptically mentions that Amador gave her a “huge gift”. Rodrigo is naturally confused.

- Alfredo finds Daniela sick in bed. She tells him she’s been feeling nauseous. When Alfredo tells her he’s going to call the doctor she tells him not to work so hard to worry about her. He realizes that Daniela must not be able to stand him. She apologizes and ultimately agrees to see a doctor.

- Magdalena confesses to Mario that she learned that Rebeca caused Adriana’s accident and death. She wants to see Rebeca behind bars. He tells her to calm down.

- The doctor tells Daniela that she is pregnant. She is shocked.
 

ECDLP #116

PART THREE

- Mario tells Magdalena that there’s nothing to they can do in regards to formally accusing Rebeca of killing Adriana as it happened many years ago. The statute of limitations is up. Even though Rebeca confessed she said it was an accident and nobody actually saw what happened. Magdalena is firm that Rebeca is the only one at fault. She feels frustrated but won’t change her mind.

- Daniela tells Alfredo that she might be pregnant. She’ll do the tests to confirm it. Alfredo thinks Marcelo is the father but Daniela doesn’t correct him.

- Nora tells Lucia that Ricardo was telling her bad things about Rebeca and she didn’t believe him so she went to confront him about it. She tells her about Ricardo’s warning about Rebeca being dangerous. She confesses that she hit him with her purse and a wine glass he was holding broke and struck his neck. She was only defending Rebeca but Rebeca is still at fault for his death and the death of Federico. Lucia still refuses to go away with her and tells Nora to face the consequences. Their dad would’ve wanted Nora to do the right thing.

- Magdalena tells Sara that she finally confirmed for herself that Rebeca killed Adriana but Rebeca insists that it was an accident.

- Nora tells Rebeca that she was right that Lucia will turn her in and that Rebeca is the only one Nora can trust. Nora says they can’t run away because Lucia will notice. Rebeca suggests leaving in the middle of the night and isn’t worried about the factory. Rebeca tells her that Marcelo returned to Puebla. Nora is surprised by this.

- Teresa tells Lucia that Magdalena and Clara were there earlier to talk to Rebeca and that Magdalena and Rebeca were crying.

- Lucia goes to find Magdalena to ask her what happened between her and Rebeca earlier. Magdalena says that she and Rebeca fought and doesn’t think they’ll ever reconcile. Magdalena agrees to tell Lucia everything but somewhere else.

- Marcelo’s PI calls him to tell him he sent him an email with some information. Amador goes into his office and tells him he’s not afraid of him. Marcelo reminds him that his only reason for returning is to get Amador out of the factory.

 

ECDLP #116

PART FOUR

- Marcelo checks the email from his PI which says that Amador made a transaction to a fictitious person.

- Magdalena takes Lucia to Adriana’s grave. tells Lucia everything that happened when Adriana died that Alonso left on a business trip and Rebeca and Adriana were alone in the house. Rebeca had said there was an accident and everyone believed her but Adriana’s death wasn’t an accident. Rebeca is responsible for Adriana’s death. Lucia is shocked. Magdalena says she no longer has doubts about it because Rebeca confessed to it. Alonso knew the truth as well. Lucia cries.

- Marcelo shows Nazario the email from the PI. They will confront Amador and Rebeca the next day. Nazario still is working on finding out what happened to Trini.

- Rebeca gathers a suitcase and accidentally leaves her purse in her bedroom. She goes outside to her car when Lucia arrives back home and confronts her calling her a murderer. Rebeca isn’t surprised that Magdalena already told Lucia everything. Rebeca maintains it was an accident but Lucia says Rebeca killed Adriana because she couldn’t stand to see her happy and she wanted to steal her husband
If it was an accident then why did only Adriana die? Everyone would’ve been better off without Rebeca. Lucia says Rebeca will leave the house right now and without Nora. She won’t allow Rebeca to destroy Nora. She drags Rebeca to the gate, pushes her out and closes the gate.

 

ECDLP #117

PART ONE

- After closing the gate Lucia yells that Rebeca probably thought that she (Lucia) was going to die along with Adriana but her plan failed. Lucia will make sure Rebeca pays for everything she’s done. Rebeca opens the gate and steps back inside trying to get past Lucia. She drops her car keys and Lucia picks them up asking if Rebeca wants to wait so that Nora can come and kick Rebeca out herself because this time Lucia will not stay quiet. Lucia will tell Nora everything including about Alonso’s death. Lucia is sure after that Nora will hate Rebeca for the rest of her life. Lucia drags Rebeca out again saying she’ll never step foot in her mother’s (Adriana) house again. Lucia runs up to the front door with Rebeca’s car keys and locks it. She walks to the bottom of the stairs and sits down crying while looking up at the railing where Adriana fell. Outside Rebeca cries and flashes back to when Alonso told her to leave the house saying it wasn’t hers that it was the house he built for Adriana and that Adriana was the only woman he loved and would ever love.

- At the factory Nora has gone to see Marcelo in his office. She came to see him because she feels embarrassed about what happened to his brother. Now she understands why he was interested in her because she’s the daughter of the woman who caused his brother to kill himself. Marcelo says she’s not responsible for her mother’s actions. Nora says she prefers to think that way instead of thinking that Marcelo chose Lucia over her because Lucia is prettier and smarter. Marcelo tells her not to put herself down nor compare herself to her sister all her life. Nora says that ever since she was born she was taught that Lucia was an example to follow. She imagines it was the same with Marcelo and his brother. Marcelo says no. He and his brother were very different but still very close. Nora asks to see a picture of Federico. She can’t believe that her mom did what she did. She tells Marcelo that she really fell in love with him and will love him until the day she dies. She kisses his cheek and leaves.

- Lucia is still upset when she asks Teresa where Nora is and to let her know when Nora returns home.

- Milagros goes to see Daniela. Daniela thought that any relationship between them was over. Milagros acknowledges that she was rude the last time they saw each other but she won’t talk about Marcelo with her anymore. She wants to be a mother figure for Daniela. Milagros sees the lab order for a pregnancy test. She congratulates Daniela for getting pregnant with Marcelo’s child. Daniela corrects her saying the baby isn’t Marcelo’s and it’s none of Milagros’ business who the father. She tells Milagros not to bother her anymore.

- Marcelo calls Lucia saying he’s coming to pick her up but she says she doesn’t want to go anywhere she just wants him to come be with her.
 

ECDLP #117

PART TWO

- Teresa tells Lucia that Nora is home. Nora is looking for Rebeca. Lucia tells her that Rebeca left and isn’t returning because she doesn’t want her near her. As Nora had said before Rebeca has done horrible things. Nora says that Lucia had told her she was exaggerating but Lucia says she changed her mind. Rebeca doesn’t deserve Nora’s love. Rebeca will destroy Nora’s life. Even so Nora can’t believe Rebeca left without saying anything to her. Lucia asks Nora to trust her. Rebeca is walking down the sidewalk somewhere.

- Lucia tells Marcelo that Alonso knew what Rebeca had done but probably didn’t have the necessary proof. She’s sure that Rebeca is responsible for Alonso’s death. She was about to tell Nora this but couldn’t. But sooner or later she will have to. Marcelo tells her that Nora went to see him at the factory and seemed sincere in everything she said. He tells Lucia that he’s sure his mom is involved in his dad's death.
Rebeca goes to Casa Zúñiga asking Brigida for asylum but not to ask questions. Amador is surprised when Brigida tells him that Rebeca is there.

- Rafaela tells Marcelo that she can’t get ahold of Milagros. Marcelo calls but Milagros doesn’t answer and says first thing tomorrow he’ll go to the city. The next day at the factory Normita tells Marcelo that Milagros called the factory asking for Nazario’s address. Nazario is at the police station saying that when they find Vinicio to question him about Amador. He knows Vini didn’t act alone, that he acted on Amador’s orders.

- Rafaela answers the door at Nazario’s house to Milagros. Milagros acknowledges that Rafaela has always been loyal to her. Milagros wants Rafaela to work for her again but Rafaela says she’s fine where she is. Rafaela doesn’t things will change with Milagros. Milagros wants the opportunity to prove it and says Rafaela is being unfair. Rafaela says Milagros has treated Marcelo badly all his life. Marcelo walks in and listens to their conversation. Rafaela says they both know that Milagros killed Cristobal. If Milagros wants to change she must acknowledge her own sins. Marcelo makes his presence known saying he somehow knew it already but didn’t accept it. He wants to know the truth. Milagros confirms she killed Cristobal so he wouldn’t leave her, leave them. Marcelo wants to know how she killed him. Milagros says that the night that Cristobal told her he was leaving with another woman she drugged him, putting him to sleep. Marcelo asks why Ramiro agreed to help her. Milagros says he was in love with her and that she promised that she’d married him but their marriage was a failure, they both had remorse. Milagros says that life is punishing her: both Ramiro and Federico are now dead. Marcelo says she doesn’t have the moral authority to accuse Rebeca of anything after everything she’s done. Milagros wants Marcelo to understand her but he can’t and doesn’t want any contact with her. Marcelo leaves and cries.

- Amador asks Rebeca what happened. Rebeca tells him personal things but assures him she’ll leave his house that day. He tells her that she can stay as long as she needs. She can count on him for anything. He tells her not to worry about the factory. Brigida offers Rebeca to take a shower and that she can borrow some of her clothes.

- Milagros doesn’t think Marcelo will ever forgive her but feels a weights been lifted off her shoulders.
 

ECDLP #117

PART THREE

- Marcelo tells Nazario that he found a hard truth. He needs to work to keep himself distracted. Nazario tells him that Amador and Rebeca haven’t shown up to work yet. Nazario says that Magdalena told him everything about Adriana’s death.

- Brigida tells Rebeca that she called Nora. Nora asks Rebeca why she left the house. Lucia told her that Rebeca wasn’t going to live with them anymore but didn’t fully explain. Nora wants the explanation from Rebeca. Rebeca says that Lucia decided that she (R) can’t keep living in the house. Nora is surprised that Rebeca let Lucia decide that. Rebeca says Lucia took her keys away. Nora asks what made Lucia do that. Rebeca says because Lucia detests her. Rebeca tells her to go to the house and get their luggage. Nora doesn’t think it’ll be that easy but agrees.

- Lucia tells Teresa not to let Rebeca in the house since she no longer has the keys. Tere says she’ll try but thinks Nora will allow it. She says Nora got a phone call and left. Lucia says that if she went to see Rebeca who knows what explanation Rebeca will give her.

- Marcelo and Nazario order Amador to leave the factory but he refuses since Rebeca put him in charge. Marcelo presents him with the proof of the fraud he committed with his fake company. Marcelo is sure that Rebeca won’t like that Amador lied to her. Marcelo gives Amador the chance to leave on his own otherwise they’ll escort him out themselves. Amador leaves but not before saying that they’ll pay for this.

- Lucia thanks Clara for talking to Magdalena. Clara says she needed to say it but didn’t tell Lucia at first because she didn’t think Lucia would believe her or that ANYONE would believe her. Lucia understands. Clara notes how much like Adriana Lucia is. She says Lucia has a good heart. Lucia wishes she had met her mother. Clara feels bad because she let Benito’s father rob the house and then she left like a delinquent. She fell in love with a man who wasn’t worth it. Lucia says that despite that Benito was born because of that relationship. Clara says that when she found out that Benito was sick she thought that it was her punishment for the bad things she did. Lucia tells her that she and Magdalena will help her so that Benito can finish the treatment.

- Daniela tells Alfredo that Marcelo is not the father of her baby. Alfredo knows it’s not Ricardo’s but remembers that Rodrigo came to visit her once. Daniela says it doesn’t matter who the father is because she’s not going to have the baby. Alfredo thinks the father of her baby has the right to know about her pregnancy. She can’t terminate the pregnancy without the father's consent. Daniela says she doesn’t want any kind of relationship with the father of her baby. Daniela is surprised by Alfredo’s attitude and thinks he’s not on her side. Alfredo tells her to think about what he’s saying before making the decision.

- Rodrigo tells Brigida that he’s going to the city next week to work. She tells him not to be selfish and to think about his father. Rodrigo says that Amador only thinks about himself in everything that he does. The only reason Rodrigo was with Lucia was for Amador’s benefit so he could gain power within the factory business. Brigida thinks he’s being unfair but Rodrigo says his father is calculating. Rodrigo says that if she wants to forgive Amador that’s fine but he’s not going to. He hopes that Amador won’t deceive her again.

- Amador goes to talk to Rebeca. Rebeca thanks for helping her. Amador tells her that he did some things in the factory without telling her. He tells her that he made up a company to gain more that wouldn’t have to be shared with Lucia and Nazario as they are shareholders in the factory. Rebeca wonders if that plan really included her or if it was just for Amador. He says it included her as well and hoped that it prove that he cares about her. He thinks things would go well for them together. He’s willing to give her what Alonso never did. He grabs her and kisses her as Brigida walks into the room.
