Hello Herc Patio! I got some unexpected company this evening and have not been able to complete the recap. It should be ready to post in the morning. Thank you for understanding!
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #49
Part 1 of 7
Sultana asks HAG if she isn’t going to open the gift from Aslan? No, says HAG, I don’t want to interrupt dinner, I will open it later. Please open it now, insists Aslan, I want to know if you like it, since I really don’t know you very well. (Oh don’t you?). Miran grips the chair arm so as not to react to Aslan. HAG opens the box and finds a silver, handheld mirror. Reyyan breaks the tension saying, what a lovely and thoughtful gift. A mirror brings good luck.
HAG shakes her head at Aslan as acknowledgement of the gift. Aslan says, the mirror is the only thing that truly unmasks a person, it takes courage to look into it. Reyyan manages to keep another reaction from Miran at bay as Aslan continues. When you look in the mirror, you see yourself but only when you look honestly, will the mask on your face disappear. Everyone at the table is fidgeting nervously. Cool as a cucumber, HAG responds, you can be certain that I look in a mirror honestly, Aslan. Enjoy your meal everyone.
The tension eases for just a few seconds until Aslan fumbles with his spoon and seems very disoriented. The spoon drops to the floor. Esma is quick to provide another and offer to make him something else to eat if he didn’t like what was being served. She didn’t know what he liked or what he didn’t like. Aslan gets angry saying, of course you don’t know Esma, because I didn’t have the opportunity to grow up in the konak with my sister, Miran and Firat.
Aslan’s look and demeanor is very concerning to all at the table. Miran tells him that clearly, he isn’t feeling well and perhaps he should go splash some water on his face. Miran instructs Ayise to show him to a bathroom. Still angry, Aslan follows her. Reyyan whispers to Miran that Aslan does not look well and perhaps he should go check on him. Miran leaves the table to do just that.
We finally see the inside of a bathroom at the Aslanbey konak, Aslan looks at himself in the mirror (is he seeing himself unmasked?) and washes his face. Miran can see him in the reflection of the mirror and as Aslan seems okay, Miran walks away, not hearing Aslan tell his reflection, everything was fine until now. But from now on, nothing will be the same. He pulls the Midyat issued pistol from his waist band and grins evilly in the mirror.
Hazar is driving back from his meeting with the doctor and encounter with Mahfuz. He thinks back to the night that he and Dilsah meet as she tries to tell him about Miran before shots were fired. He realizes now what she was trying to tell him. He then thinks back to the cassette tape recording of Dilsah saying she told Azize everything. Then he remembers the call from Azize demanding he come to the abandon village. He realizes that she intended to give him Miran’s dead body. He cannot believe anyone can be this horrible. There is not even room in hell for someone like you Azize, he says, driving back into the town limits.
Back at the uncomfortable family reunion, Miran returns to the table making excuses, saying that Aslan is fine. He must be overwhelmed in this new place and situation. HAG sarcastically says, look how well you and your primo are getting along. It is almost as if you have known each other all your lives. Miran responds saying, well you didn’t give us that opportunity, so now we are making up for lost time.
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #49
Part 2 of 7
Coming out of the bathroom, Aslan agrees with Miran. I wish it was only time we lost, right Grandmother? HAG says, I am glad you are feeling better, come, let’s finish our family dinner. Aslan passes the serving table and a large knife falls to the ground right near HAG. He picks it up as everyone looks around nervously and Miran makes a play for own pistol tucked in his waistband. Sultana and Reyyan gesture him to stop. Aslan fingers the knife saying to HAG, family, that is so easy to say, but so hard to live. He stares hard at HAG.
Finally, Sultana asks him, Aslan, are you okay? What are you doing? He returns the knife to the serving table and says, I am fine mother, perfectly fine. There are dozens of lies in our lives but don’t worry, I am fine. To HAG he says, do you know why I wanted this dinner Grandmother? To see if we could really be a family from now on. I forced myself into this invitation, to sit at my own family table. I had hope, but that hope is lost tonight. I am a stranger (getting stranger and stranger) to all of you. I will always be a stranger to you.
Sultana asks, Aslan, why are you acting this way? What do you mean mother? She (HAG) has always been this way. She has been like this for 30 years. Miran scoffs. Nothing has changed, he continues, nothing will change. It will change, says HAG. Everything can change if we want it to. Look, everyone at this table is trying to make that change.
I am struggling to exist where I don’t belong, yells Aslan, do you know what that means? Aslan, says Miran, sit if you want so we can continue our meal. Ignoring Miran, Aslan says, it is not going to happen. There is no forced family. I am just going to ask you one thing Grandmother, why didn’t you love me? You put everyone in this house, my sister, Miran and even Firat. Am I just a burden to you? Ever since I sat down at this table, do you know what I have been thinking? I wish I had grown up in this house like Miran. What kind of a family would we be now? Aslan finally moves away from HAG and walks around the table, looking wistfully at the walls of the konak.
Would my mother have loved me and my sister be jealous of me? He completes the walk around the table and stands in front of HAG. Would Miran and I have gotten along? He pulls the gun from his backside and pulls it to his temple. Sultana, HAG, even Good Grannie, shout No!
Aslan continues, if something happened to me, would my grandmother be upset? Stop! Stop, says Sultana. Miran calmly tells Aslan to drop the gun. They can talk. It doesn’t have to be this way. HAG looks distressed but says and does nothing. Let’s talk says Miran, you are not like this. There is nothing to talk about, says Aslan, do you think you know me because I am an Aslanbey? How would you know me? Aslan, we are primos and I know what you are going through, says Miran. Aslan cocks the pistol, saying, you don’t know what I have been through, what my grandmother did.
I do know, says Miran, I know how it feels to live a life of lies. Put the gun down. You made me like this, says Aslan to HAG. Yes, says Miran, but you are not a bad person Aslan (the verdict is still out on that account). On the contrary, you helped us, you found my Good Grannie. We are a family. I have no family, responds Aslan, I only have my mother. Why didn’t you want me grandmother? Aslan asks HAG again. Why everyone else but me?
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #49
Part 3 of 7
Finally, HAG responds saying, Aslan, I wanted to protect you. I wanted to keep you safe. Liar, says Aslan, you kept me from my mother and locked her away in a manicomio. The back and forth continues. Suddenly, Hazar graces the doorway of the konak and sees the tense scene. He listens as Reyyan tells Aslan that she totally understands what he is going through. She only recently found out that her life was a lie. Reyyan’s words seem to get through a bit to Aslan. But then he says, Azize Aslanbey lied to me.
Azize says, this cannot happen again, drop the gun, I was going to come for you once my venganza was over. This declaration takes Hazar back to the night Dilsah and Mehmet were shot. He suddenly remembers Mehmet’s words and that he took his own life in the same way Aslan is threatening.
Miran approaches Aslan and tells him that everything can be okay. Aslan can come and live in the konak (ah ha!) because they are brothers. We are not brothers Miran, says Aslan, we are nothing alike. HAG gives a warning “Aslan” and he responds back to her saying, are you afraid of what I might say? Or is this death scene familiar to you grandmother? Miran jumps in and grabs the gun. After a brief struggle, he takes the gun away from Aslan as Sultana hugs her son and Reyyan her man.
Hazar collapse against the wall outside of the konak, remembering clearly the declaration from Mehmet before he killed himself. I remember, says Hazar, I remember. He stumbles down the alley way.
Back inside, HAG looks incredulously at Aslan. Miran is the first to regain composure as he asks Esma to prepare Gonul’s room for Aslan to stay in. Reyyan whispers, Miran…but he gives her one of those looks, clearly he knows something else is afoot. HAG looks like she might object, but Sultana tells her she better not even think of it. With a nod from HAG, Sultana takes her crazy son to the room.
At the Sadoglu casa, Zehra is looking for Hazar. He doesn’t answer his phone. Cihan comes up and complains to her that Hazar and Nasuh must be together, doing business behind his back again. Somehow, they get on the conversation of who killed Mehmet (sorry, but these two annoy me). Cihan says it was Nasuh and Zehra shares that Nasuh told her it was Hazar.
Meanwhile, Hazar continues to stumble down the alleys and comes to the place where it all went down that night so many years ago. He remembers that he was lying on the ground, Azize was there when Mehmet blew his brains out. Hazar cannot fathom why Azize kept Miran from him for such a long time and what is she exactly wanting Hazar to pay for?
Back at the Aslanbey konak, ReyMir come to their newly remodeled bedroom. Rey is of course very upset about what just occurred but Miran tells her nothing is as it seems. We flash back to Miran watching Aslan in the bathroom, removing the bullets from the pistol. He shows Reyyan that Aslan had no intention of shooting himself as the gun magazine was empty. He knew the whole time that Aslan was putting on a show. She thinks Aslan is dangerous and needs to be in a hospital (I agree) but Miran wants to keep him close to learn his plan. Miran thinks it was always his plan to get an invite to stay at the konak. Reyyan is afraid that Aslan will hurt Miran. He thinks it is best to keep Aslan close to know his plans.
Cihan and Zehra continue their discussion of what Nasuh told them. Hazar shows up looking for Nasuh and finally tells Cihan and Zehra that he remembers what happened that night. He did not kill Mehemet and neither did Nasuh. Mehemet committed suicide right in front of Azize. Oh and by the way, Miran is my son.
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #49
Part 4 of 7
Cihan thinks back to what Aslan said about Miran not being an Aslanbey. Hazar goes off to end the venganza by confronting Azize and telling ReyMir the truth.
Back at the crazy konak, Sultana is taking a sedative (give one to your son) from Ayise. She tells Aslan that she is going for Gonul and they will leave immediately. Aslan says he is fine right here with her and he will talk to Gonul. HAG enters the room, chases out Ayise and applauds Aslan for his performance to trick Miran and get into the konak. She claims that she was almost convinced. She gets a call from Hazar telling her to meet at Dilsah’s grave to talk about Mehmet and Miran. To Aslan she says that his stay in the mansion will be short lived as she heads out.
Ayise heads out of the konak for a “walk.” She calls Mahfuz and lets him know what is going on. Mahfuz feels confident that Hazar will get ReyMir out of the konak by telling the truth. He stops talking with the arrival of the “Lady” who raps her cane and clearly demands immediate attention. Mahfuz drops his phone at the sight of her. Is it Tia Fusun?
Sultana paces the courtyard thinking about her conversation with Aslan where she apparently scolded him for scaring her with his game. He tries to tell her he was only trying to get the upper hand with HAG, but Sultana thinks he is disrespectful to his mother. Maybe they cannot be a family after all. She and Aslan stare at each other through the bedroom window.
ReyMir come down the stairs and Sultana thanks Miran for helping with Aslan. He says he is going to go check on him. Rey gets a call from Hazar telling her and Miran to meet him at Dilsah’s gave toot sweet.
Aslan see’s Miran heading to the bedroom and he jumps in bed. Miran notices that Aslan still have his shoes on. Aslan says he is doing fine, anyway Miran has his gun and there are now sharp objects in the room. Miran asks if he needs anything and Aslan asks him not to pity him. All he wants is to live his childhood dream of having a family. Miran says he understands and with a wink, says that working together, they will achieve what they both want. He leaves the room with a knowing smile as Aslan glares at the back of his head. (They are both good BSers for sure). Reyyan is waiting for Miran and tells him that Hazar is waiting for them at Dilsah’s grave.
Hazar arrives at the cemetery and as he walks to her grave, he thinks that this is the first time he is able to come to Dilsah’s grave with his head held high. He asks for her to forgive him for not being able to save her. He feels he has a new lease on life knowing that Miran is his son. When he gets to her gravesite, he sees that her headstone has been demolished. He knows it has to be Azize who did it. She arrives and calls to him, demanding to know what he wants. In quite the tongue lashing he tells her that he knows Miran is his son and Dilsah was murdered by her son, Mehmet. Azize looks surprised that he has finally figured it out. He tells her that he remembered what happened that night. He says her punishment will be to have him tell the real story to ReyMir who should be arriving at any moment. (Why did you tell her that??).
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #49
Part 5 of 7
ReyMir arrive and see the two in discussion down the pathway. Both know it cannot be a good thing. Hazar gloats that now the truth will come out and Azize will finally pay for all the evil she has done. Turing, Azize sees ReyMir walking down the path. She tells Hazar that he will not tell Miran he is his son. What the heck are you talking about, says Hazar, this is over. No, says Azize, you will say that you killed Dilsah and Mehmet. What? says Hazar, never! I have Dilsah as a prisoner. Dilsah is alive Hazar. (Do we believe her? I sort of do). I have Dilsah, Hazar, but if you tell Miran he is your son, I will kill her. (I say roll the dice Hazar, she is probably lying).
ReyMir arrive and Miran greets them both saying we are here. Azize gives Hazar a strange, go ahead and tell them stare. Reyyan is quick to see the exchange and the look on Hazar’s face. The tension is broken when Azize’s phone rings, it a raspy woman’s voice (in the Turkish version the voice is very raspy) saying, this is Fusun, Azize. Then Hazar’s phone rings, it is Nasuh telling him to come to the Aslanbey konak immediately. Miran’s phone rings and it is Esma informing him of the arrival of Tia Fusun. Confused, Miran says I thought she was dead? Apparently not. He tells HAG, so the woman Fusun Aslanbey, who you said was dead, is standing in our courtyard right now. Don’t you dare say anything HAG, I am going to find out the truth for myself right now. The stunned group all leave the cemetery.
Cihan is pouting up on the rooftop of the hotel. His buddy the guy who helped him track down Miran, joins him and asks what is going on. Bottom line, Cihan is not going to let Miran get pushed in front of Azat to be a Sadoglu. (This was not in the Telemundo version).
Tia Fusun in her fancy mink coat, complete with lion pin, stares down at everyone in the Aslanbey patio. She looks formidable. ReyMir, Azize and Hazar all arrive. Nasuh is already there. Miran asks, what is going on here? Hazar goes over to Nasuh. When Azize walks in the guards grab Mahmoud. What is going on here? Demands Miran. Careful, says Fusun, you will know everything shorty, isn’t that right Azize, as she walks down the stairs. Azize actually looks scared for the first time. Don’t mix our business with the family, says Azize as Fusun faces off in front of her. (This is going to be good!).
Your family? scoffs Fusun, it has been a long time, Azize. Azize…what is your last name? Aslanbey, says Azize. I am Azize Aslanbey, the wife of you deceased brother, just in case you forgot. You are not an Aslanbey, snaps Fusun, you never were. Good Grannie gets a chuckle out of this exchange as do we. With her gravely voice, Fusun says, you are nothing but the thief of this konak that you polluted with lies and secrets. You stole it from us, the real Aslanbey. Sultana is smiling big now and Aslan looks very satisfied. Fusun continues, as I look around, there is only one Aslanbey here besides me and that is Aslan.
Miran looks confused as Hazar looks uncomfortable as does Nasuh and Esma. He takes a deep breath and asks, what exactly does that mean? Fusun says, I will tell you, just have a little bit patience, I have waited years for this moment. She moves toward Azize and yanks the lion pin off her scarf, saying that the underserving ???. Miran is working hard to keep it together and says, I know you are my grandfathers sister but you cannot act this way. Miran asks for the pin. Fusun says, on whose authority? As an Aslanbey, he says, as Mehmet Aslambey’s son. Even HAG has an “Uh oh” look on her face.
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #49
Part 6 of 7
Fusun glances over to Nasuh who shakes his head “yes.” (So these two are in cahoots together). Fusun looks at Hazar and Azize looks petrified. Dramatically, Fusun gives Miran the big reveal. You are not the son of Mehmet Aslanbey, you are the son of Hazar Sadoglu and Dilsah. After surprised/pleased/stunned looks are shown to us from everyone standing around. Fusun says, that is the truth. That is what Azize stole from you. How dare you say something like that, says Miran, how dare you tarnish the memory of my father and mother. Miran finally has a meltdown and demands that Fusun leave.
Hazar tries to say something but Miran turns on him and Nasuh and demands that they leave as well. He thinks that the Sadoglu are playing an evil trick on him. He turns to HAG and demands that she say something, tell this woman that I am an Aslanbey! HAG just stares at him. Fusun says there is nothing she can say to change this fact. A bit kinder, Fusun gives Miran two letter written by Dilsah, one declaring her love for Hazar and the other explaining what Azize forced her to do. It is Azize who played with your mothers’ life and with yours. Miran looks at the letters but refuses to read them and poor Good Grannie gets very unstable on her feet.
Why won’t you read the letters? asks Fusun, you did believe before. You believed all the notes I sent to help you. Azize is shocked with the reveal. Why would I lie now? You found your good Grannie, your mother and now you found who you really are. Miran, this woman didn’t just destroy you; she destroyed my family as well. She used her own son for revenge. With a wave of her cane, Fusun has the guards start emptying out the Azize chest of evil treasures. The toss everything out from the second story balcony to the courtyard below. Azize looks sick.
Aslan approaches the stricken Miran and says he didn’t want it to be this way but he could not tell him the truth because he knew how much it would upset him. He leans in and says you are not a real Aslanbey. Miran hauls off and punches him, saying, I know exactly who I am and I know exactly who you are. Miran tells the lot that they are all crazy! He looks to Esma begging for this to be a lie. She can only say, my son…You went crazy too, he says. I know who I am, he says, I know who I am…and I will show you! He calls for Reyyan to follow him and Reyyan yells at Nasuh and Hazar to stay away.
Hazar still follows, calling Miran son. Miran tells him never to call him that, he is the son of Mehmet. Reyyan tells Hazar that it is not the time to talk. She hops in the car with Miran. (Maybe she should drive).
Back in the courtyard, Fusun tells Azize to take her servants and leave. She will take nothing but the clothes on her back, that is all she gets from the Aslanbey. To Nasuh, Fusun says that she has completed her part of the deal and moving forward the Aslanbey and Sadoglu’s are no longer enemies.
Hazar come in and wants to kill Azize, but Nasuh says Azize is not worth killing. She will live the life she deserves, dragging herself on the ground and no one will even care or notice her anymore. Hazar takes Good Grannie with him and Nasuh. Fusun allows Azize, Mahmoud and Esma to leave.
Miran is driving like a maniac and ends up stopping with a panic attack. He has major meltdown, shooting his gun still claiming to know who he is. Reyyan calms him down a bit saying she knows who he is, he is Miran, her love, her home and life.
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #49
Part 7 of 7
Gonul and Firat are in the courtyard trying to understand how Sultana can just believe some woman that Miran is a Sadoglu. Both say that Miran is a Sadoglu and Gonul tells Aslan to back off his rude comments to Firat as he is her brother. Fusun wants Firat to give her an accounting of all the Aslanbey fortune. Firat is defiant saying that clearly money is her motivating factor. The only Aslanbey he will answer to is Miran and Gonul.
Esma ends up taking Azize back to her house. Esma tells Azize that she knew the end would not be pretty and that is why Azize should have given up the venganza long ago. Azize is still determined to move forward and asks Esma what role she played in ruining her plans. Firat bangs on the door of the house and confronts Esma, did she know that Miran was Hazar and Dilsah’s son? He is furious with the lack of response. He tells her that she and Azize deserve each other and to never call him son again. He is embarrassed she is his mother.
At the Sadoglu casa, Nasuh has assembled the roaches to tell them about the situation. In the end, all Cihan and Handan care about is whether or not Miran is going to move in with them. This causes a huge argument with Hazar and Cihan. Harun seemed pretty surprised to learn that it was Fusun who broke the news about Miran. Hazar gets a call from Miran. An angry Miran wants him to meet at Dilsah’s grave as this never ending episode finally ends.

Wow, VVS, what a terrific recap of an exciting and important episode! Many thanks!
I loved your pointing out that we finally get to see a bathroom in the Aslanbey konak. It's astonishing that these people almost never seem to use one.
Thanks too for numbering your pages X of Y. That helps avoid someone inadvertently posting a message in the middle of a recap.
Your side remarks were right on target. I loved so many of them, e.g., "I am a stranger (getting stranger and stranger)," "you are not a bad person Aslan (the verdict is still out on that account)," and "She thinks Aslan is dangerous and needs to be in a hospital (I agree)." I agree as well.
I found it interesting that Azize says "this cannot happen again, drop the gun." And Aslan's scene with the gun is what triggers Hazar's memory (no pun intended).
Yes, I agree with you, perhaps Reyyan should have asked to drive. Her limited skills are still less dangerous than Miran's crazed speed. I feared for a while that we were about to have another telenovela cliche, a car crash that sends one or both to the hospital on death's door.
You said that Cihan's fear that Miran would usurp Azat as head of the Sadoglu was a scene Telemundo didn't include. I saw it, so it must have been included. He rants on to the guy who works for him that Hazar was always put ahead of him, and he's not going to let that happen to Azat. He insists that Azat is the future of the Sadoglu family and the only heir.
Also, in the scene where Fusun gives Miran two letters written by Dilsah, she says that in one Dilsah proclaims her loving relationship with Hazar, while the other is a letter Azize forced her to write in which she says she wants to break up with Hazar. (Dilsah doesn't say she was forced to write the letter--she writes only what Azize dictates. Of course, in an earlier episode we learn that at one point Dilsah tried to change her handwriting to indicate that she was being forced to write. Alas, Azize recognized what she was doing.)
Fusun claims that now that everything is out in the open and Azize has been discredited and removed, the Aslanbey and the Sadoglu will no longer be enemies. Am I right in thinking that Fusun knows nothing about Azize's experience with Nasuh and the fire? I suspect she doesn't, and hence she doesn't realize that Azize's thirst for venganza primarily results from that. So I'm afraid we're not close to the end of the dizi.
The episode ends with Miran summoning Hazar to his parents' graves to settle the score. I don't remember whether Miran knows that Dilsah's tombstone has been destroyed. If he doesn't, his seeing this may set him off in a different direction (unless of course he thinks it was Hazar who desecrated it).
BTW, I've always thought that Azize looked remarkably young to (supposedly) have a 30-year-old grandson, but Fusun looks even younger. Much younger. I wish I knew her secret! :-)
Thanks again, VVS, for this excellent recap.
Wow! Wow! Wow! I was NOT expecting all that. I have so many thoughts that it's hard to express them. First of all, VVS, you wrote a simply fantastic recap! You described everything perfectly and with plenty of asides that echoed my own thoughts. Loved "Midyat issued" gun!
I was terrified when Hazar decided to meet HAG at Dilsuh's grave. I was not sure he would survive confronting her alone. We see where Miran's lack of impulse control comes from.
Pretty funny when the most calm and reasonable person in all this was Nasuh!
Miran should be thanking his lucky stars he's not related to Aslan and Gonul. He was spared the insisting on loving someone who doesn't love them back gene.
Esma, Esma. Now that Azize's posse is very reduced in size, why are you still ride or die with HAG?
OK, Miran, that was pretty shocking news. But did you have to behave like a two-year old whose had his toy taken away. He was risking the woman he supposedly adores life with that crazy driving. I sincerely hope he accepts the truth tonight. Reyyan just lets him get away with his behavior.
Fusan, you are one cool customer. Interesting that she said that Azize showed up at her door and was taken in. I suppose she came as a servant and seduced Fusan's brother. Do we know his name? If I ever knew I've forgotten it.
Everybody makes the move to the AB house...an Auntie Fusun has glided in .n is checking out the layout ....
Strap in y’all..cause it’s abt to Go Down.....
Maghrib prayers minaret is presented , the closing ,last prayer respite..of the day...n Fusun is abt to SHUT IT DOWN!!!
She got her real fur on ! Got a problem with that ?..n you can kiss her Aszz!....camera panned to the family crescent Lion..Hint!

Novelera, I loved your comments about Nasuh being the most calm and reasonable person. And yes, Miran drove me nuts as well with his two-year-old's behavior. Except perhaps that's an insult to two-year-olds.
Also, I remember an early episode where someone says that Azize isn't a real Aslanbey, she was a servant who somehow managed to marry an Aslanbey when the guy's father died. She sure got rid of any sign of her servant origins!
Lastly this funky attitude of MsAzize towards Esma..her only friend was nasty...and Firat is Right..to be fed up..Thebitch was listening and plotting the whole time ..Esma are someone of an abused wife , what th3 heck are you still afraid, .Mujer. Maltrata...
Dilsuh? I am actually hoping HAG is lying. The poor woman did not deserve 30 years of imprisonment. And I just don't believe Hazar is going to leave Zehra with two young children to go and be with Dilsuh. Of course, it would be wonderful for Miran if it were true. Maybe the writers could go with Dilsuh and Hazar deciding to be good friends.
HalimaCandy, Juanita and novelera, thanks for the great insight and comments! Last night was quite the episode and I really didn’t do the recap the justice it deserved but it would have been 12 parts if I had the time. 😊
I missed so many of conversations and I appreciate you filling so much in Juanita. I totally missed the two letters that Fusun gave Miran, I thought they were random letters.
“Miran should be thanking his lucky stars he's not related to Aslan and Gonul. He was spared the insisting on loving someone who doesn't love them back gene.” novelera, you are so right!
Halimacandy, you comments make me smile and I really enjoy all the perspective you provide with the religious/cultural references and language.
Firat is the one person I am more and more impressed with. Esma is still a mystery as to her loyalty to Azize.
I sure hope that Dilsah has not been a prisoner of Azize for 30 years. The place she locked up Aslan was a step up from the barn that Yaren was in. Where would she have kept Dilsah?
Fusan, Fusan. Is she a good witch or a bad witch?
Excellent, Excellent recap of such a POWERFUL and EXPLOSIVE episode VVS! And I do mean EXPLOSIVE! I don’t even know where to begin! Just glad the truth is out——FINALLY! Evil Azize is now dethroned, and it’s a WONDERFUL thing!
Great recap with great comments! This episode has left me speechless with nothing left to do except shut my mouth! Lol!
Thank you VVS! What a recap! What an episode! Wow!
Fatma shows everyone the things she bought for the new house, while Muka turns the darkest shade of envy green. Rahmi asks if the house will be done by the wedding. Kerim says it will. Rahmi asks if there is a definite date. Fatma says the 5th or 6th of May. Muka gets snarky, why do you ask, Rahmi? Is your schedule busy?
Fatma goes on with the display, and Meryem wishes them lots of happiness. As everyone is smiles and is happy, Muka looks increasingly upset. Fatma wants to buy more things tomorrow, but Kerim says they had planned to go to the greenhouse to buy plants for the garden. He is willing to change plans if that’s what Fatma wants.
Muka can’t keep it to herself any longer. That’s enough, she cries. We are exhausted working while you go shopping. Cooking, serving, dealing with the customers. We are human, too. Rahmi tells Muka not to say this, don’t hurt Fatma. I’m the one that’s hurt, Muka responds, I work all day in the restaurant with my baby. Don’t you feel sorry for me? [everybody: NO!]
Meryem thought Muka wanted to help at the restaurant. Muka answers sarcastically, sure I love it. I can’t wait to go every day. I spent the whole winter locked up with my baby, not to mention all that happened. I couldn’t put a foot outside. She wipes a tear and continues her disgusting pity party. Meryem says, ok, you don’t have to work, you can stay at home. Muka makes a dramatic exit and goes to her room to sob.
Rahmi asks his wife what’s wrong. She says Meryem was mocking her with the “stay in the house” comment. What house? She doesn’t have her own house. She doesn’t have a life. It’s all about Fatmagul. Everything revolves around her. Everyone does it. Everyone loves her, Kerim and Mustafa… [surprise look on Rahmi’s face] Meryem, Kadir, everyone loves her. She knocks Rahmi for giving his sister more attention than anyone else. Muka wants to be left alone. When Rahmi leaves she says, my life is over, hers is just beginning.
More work inside and outside of the new house. Rahmi and Meryem help. Notice Muka just sitting?
Muka heads off the mailman again and intercepts another letter from Mustafa.
Kerim and Fatma go over the budget for their purchases, while Muka reads another Musto letter: I keep thinking about you, it helps the time pass faster. I am reliving our days in Ildir, over again in my dreams. I love you so much, Fatmagul. Please write to me. Muka’s got a nice collection of letters. What will she do with them?
Muka begs off work the next day. She’s got a lot to do in the house. Rahmi is looking for the newspaper and Muka says she hid it. Fatma wonders why. Everyone else knows. Musto gave a statement in your favor to the prosecutor, she tells Fatma. Kerim adds that Kadir told them.
Muka shows Fatma the paper: “Ex-fiance breaks silence”. Muka comments that Musto lost a lot of weight and looks exhausted. Kerim watches Fatma closely for a reaction. Fatma says now they will be wanted for my case, too. Kerim snatches the paper away. Don’t ruin the day, he says.
Kadir comes upstairs with good news. He’s got a more detailed report from the phone company. The Yasarans’ house is on the East side and Selim and Erdo’s phones were located on the west side.
Munir reads a divorce document to Resat. Resat presents it to Peri at the breakfast table. Congratulations, another bond between us broken. Did they really get divorced that fast? Peri mentions something about the boys in trouble [she read about Musto’s testimony in the paper] and Resat blows up. You will pay for putting that bag in my hand the night the police came. I won’t forget!
Ayce prepares to return to Turkey.
Lale calls Ender. She can’t give details now, but says they are on the same side. She hates Resat Yasaran, too. She asks Ender to have patience and not reveal anything about her.
Muka is up to no good. She hides Musto’s letters under Fatma’s bed.
Kadir gets a report from Fahr. He found the father of the girl on the run with the Yasarans.
Kerim goes upstairs. Muka stops him and asks where he will put today’s deliveries. He will put them in Fatma’s room and she can sort them later. Muka suggests using the storage space under the bed. Kerim thinks about it and Muka keeps prodding. He should look, so he will be ready when the deliveries arrive. They cut: Kerim doesn’t want to go through Fatma’s stuff. He tells Muka she can check it out if she wants.
Hacer finalizes her divorce with Musto.
Well, Muka has somehow convinced Kerim to at least come lift Fatma’s bed. Muka says she hears the baby and leaves Kerim in the room. He rearranges some things, and the letters fall from where Muka tucked them in. Kerim picks them up and is shocked and upset. They cut: he closes the door and reads the letters and tossing them around the room, getting more upset with each line he reads . Cut to Kerim quickly walking to Rose Kitchen.
Kerim arrives at Rose Kitchen but watches from outside the gate as Fatma tends to the large party that’s inside. She sees him and tells him to come in. It’s craziness in here, but fun, she says, come, I’ll get you something to eat. He follows her inside. Did the things come, she asks. He nods. She gives him a kiss on the cheek. I hope you just put them in my room, she says, I’ll sort them later. That’s what I did, he replies.
Kerim is quiet. He goes to sort through the letters on the table. Fatma tells him she hasn’t had a chance to look through them yet. He asks, has Mustafa sent you a letter? She is surprised by the question but answers right away, yes, I received a letter. But I didn’t even read it. I swear. I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want you to get angry. He just stares.
Meryem comes in and asks Kerim to start helping. He replies, I’m busy, and he walks out. Meryem asks what that was about and Fatma tells her. Meryem thinks Kerim is upset by the newspaper article. She wonders why Kerim is continues to be preoccupied with Mustafa.
Cut: Fatma and the others come home after a long, busy day. Muka comes out with two big trash bags to put out. Fatma asks if Kerim is home. No, he must still be working at the house, Muka says. She dying to find out if her scheme caused trouble.
Fatma calls Kerim who is out with Emre. He’s drinking. He tells her he is with Emre, he needed to talk to someone. She asks, have you been drinking? Yes. You haven’t been to the house, she asks? No. Muka comes up the stairs to listen at Fatma’s door. Fatma tells him to say hello to Emre.
Muka asks about Kerim. He’s with Emre. Muka notes the concern on Fatma’s face. Don’t pout, she says, he needs male companionship from time to time. Fatma says she is worried because Kerim didn’t look good at the restaurant earlier. Why, Muka asks. Fatma doesn’t know. Muka says it’s stress. He has a big responsibility. Now you will be on your own. Maybe he is having second thoughts.
Fatma doesn’t want to hear it. Muka says that’s normal before a wedding. A lot of people change their minds. Well, that’s what she’s heard. Don’t worry, she adds, let him drink and talk to his friends. Don’t push him and drown him with questions. Fatma’s worry increases and Muka is satisfied with her handiwork.
Don’t do this, Emre tells Kerim. You’re being unfair to yourself and to Fatma. She wouldn’t be with you if she still had feelings for Musto. She wouldn’t have come back to you when he kidnapped her. She wouldn’t have testified against him. But she hid his letters, Kerim replies. Emre thinks that means nothing. Why did she hide them, Kerim asks, why did she lie? She follows his news. That shameless man who dared to ask for forgiveness in the courtroom. He put something in her head. Emre advises him to talk to Fatma.
Kerim says she lied to him. She said it was one letter that she threw away. Now that she knows I’m suspicious, she will throw all the letters away. You won’t know anything until you talk, Emre replies. Kerim can’t believe Musto is telling her to wait 15 – 20 years. Emre points out that Fatma hasn’t written back to Musto. If the letters meant something to her, she would have done so. Fatma’s your wife, don’t doubt her. Your wedding is soon.
Kerim apologizes to Emre for going on about this after what he’s been through, but he has no one else to talk to. Fatma is trying to recover, Kerim says, she’s trying to convince herself she loves me. But she can’t. Mustafa is always here. He has a place in her heart. I don’t know what to do, Kerim tells Emre, I’m a disaster.
Cut: Fatma looks at her fabric and takes out some bridal magazines. She looks like she’s made up her mind. We see Kerim stumbling home, drunk. He sees the trash bags outside the house, opens them and finds the torn letters. Fatma has fallen asleep on her bed, with the sewing machine out and magazines all around. Next morning things are a little awkward between Fatma and Kerim. She notes he got in late, what did they talk about? This and that, Kerim replies. End cut.
Kerim has made breakfast and didn’t wait for anyone else. Muka listens behind her closed door. He comes out of his room with a bag, he’s going to see his father for a few days. In Bodrum, Fatma asks? Yes. Muka is pleased. Kerim says his father is alone and doing this for them.
Muka comes out of her room. Where are you going? To Bodrum to help my father, he says, I spoke to him on the phone, he didn’t sound well. I thought I would go to help. Fatma asks for the truth, did something bad happen? No. Meryem appears and hears what is happening. Your father asked for help? No, Kerim replies, but I thought I should go. It would be good to take a few days off. Meryem wants to tell Kadir. He knows, Kerim says, I told him. Fatma looks hurt. You didn’t tell me, she says. I made my decision last night, he tells her, I had been thinking about it.
Fatma follows Kerim to the door. Muka smiles from above. Fatma follows Kerim to the truck. She worries the house won’t be done before the wedding. He says they can always postpone the date. He gives her kisses on the cheek and says he will call when he gets there. She watches sadly as he drives away. This was the end of Turkish ep 69.
Cut: Kerim is in a restaurant with his dad. Fahr is surprised and happy to see him but a little concerned. There’s a lot of work to be done on the house. Kerim says the house will get done and things have settled so here he is. Fahr wonders if the folks at home think he talked Kerim into coming. Kerim says it’s not like that. Fahr asks about Fatma. She’s fine, the restaurant is fine.
Kerim says he is thinking it’s time for him to go back to doing iron work. Fahr notes that Mustafa has been caught so Kerim must feel relieved. [It's obvious that Kerim can’t stand the mention of Musto.] Fahr talks about getting Kerim set up in his own workshop; he should be his own boss. Not so fast, Kerim says. Fahr gets suspicious something else is up and questions Kerim.
Kerim tries to brush it off but Fahr won’t let it go. I feel like you want to tell me something, Fahr says. Kerim answers, I thought it would be good to get away from Istanbul for a while, that’s it. Fahr says he will accept that answer for now.
Big cut: Fatma seeks out Emre. She brought him a special dessert she made. Emre’s dad calls out to greet her and says he hasn’t seen Kerim. Fatma says he went to Bodrum and Emre says Kerim didn’t mention this to him. Fatma says it was a surprise to her, too. Fatma asks about their night out, did you have a good time? Yeah, Emre says, we talked about this and that, army days. Fatma says Kerim doesn’t talk too much and doesn't have friends here other than Emre. I’m sure he had a good time, she tells him.
Emre comments that Fatma looks like she’s doing better. He’s happy for both her and Kerim. Fatma mentions her real reason for coming. She is worried something is going on with Kerim. It’s if he’s running away. Why did he leave so close to the wedding? Did he tell you? He just told me how much he loves you, Emre replies. He is also excited for the wedding. So you didn’t sense anything, Fatma asks? Emre says, don’t worry. Fatma touches Emre’s arm and thanks him.
Two gossipy women have been watching. They comment on Fatma touching Emre and how she is shameless. They don’t like Fatma. They wonder why Emre even talks to her. One says she will mention this to Beyhan.
After Fatma leaves, the gossips warn Emre not to get involved with Fatma and her troubles. They will drag him down. Emre shuts them down. They are my friends. Emre walks and the women keep talking. They moved into the lawyer’s house and that midwife woman got her hooks in him and married him!
Emre tells his dad about Fatma and Kerim’s new house. The gossips overhear and ask. One of the women is horrified, her relatives live next door. Why can’t they leave our neighborhood? The ladies go on about all the trouble Fatma and family will bring, not to mention the reporters.
Fatma passes the old house. She flashes back to Kerim telling Meryem he couldn’t leave Fatma because he thinks he loves her. End of huge cut.
Muka spreads poison to Meryem. I think Kerim has cold feet about the house, that’s why he left. Meryem thinks it’s ridiculous. Maybe he went to ask his father for a bigger house, Muka says. Muka tries to keep Meryem talking about Fatma and. She wonders if they would cancel the wedding. Where do you get these thoughts, Meryem asks, why would they cancel?
Muka spies the mailman and makes an excuse to go out. She stashes another letter from Musto. Cut: She hides in the bathroom and reads. This letter talks about how sorry he was to turn his back on her. He shouldn’t have listened to his parents…yada, yada. We get the flashbacks to go along with the letter. If only there was one person to show me the way…. Someone knocks on the door and Muka quickly tears the letter, puts it in the trash and covers it up with a wad of toilet paper.
Fatma heads up the walk to the new house. She greets the neighbors and the mother gives a dirty look and quickly hustles her daughters away. Fatma asks Rahmi if there’s been trouble. No. Maybe that woman is just crazy. They talk about the house, Rahmi mentions he spoke to Kerim. Fatma wonders why he didn’t call her.
Fatma calls Kerim. Fahr excuses himself from the table to change clothes. She’s upset he didn’t call. Kerim says he didn’t have the chance. He only called Rahmi to tell him workers were coming. She asks a bunch of questions and Kerim gives her short answers. She finally asks, what is going on?! Nothing, he replies. Then why are you so distant, she asks? I’m just tired, he says. She knows he’s hiding something. He says he isn’t. Fatma presses, is it about those malditos? No. Then why aren’t you here with me, she asks?
Kerim says his father is very happy to see him. He really needs me. He’s doing all this by himself. Fatma knows, but… Kerim says they are going to see the lawyer for the girl’s father. Kerim mentions that Kadir will send Omer down if anything happens. Fatma is upset that Kerim has called everyone except her. He apologizes. She asks when he will return and he doesn’t know.
She says we will come down there if he doesn’t come back soon. He asks her where she is. At the house, she says, someone has to finish it. Fatma asks again when he will return and Kerim says it depends on what happens. Fahr returns and Kerim says he has to go. See you. [hmm.. no I love yous] Fatma is sad.
Fahr tells Kerim that Jenny and Deniz bought their tickets to come for the wedding. They arrive on May 1. What’s the hurry, Kerim says. Fahr reminds him there’s not that much time.
Fatma leaves the house and sees the neighbors peeking out the window.
Fatma tells Meryem she’s sure Kerim is hiding something. And she asked Emre but he said nothing. Muka lurks in the background, listening. Fatma is sure something is bothering him. He even speaks differently. Meryem says she will call Kerim tonight and see if she can find out.
An alarm goes off at Lale’s house. Peri and Hilmiye hurry over. It looks like no one is home. Hilmiye calls security. Peri can’t reach Lale.
Selim and Ayce’s kitchen shift ends. Erdo has three more hours to go. Erdo watches as Selim helps Ayce with her hair. [Is his envy of Selim rising again?]
Security enters Lale’s house, they can’t find anything. Peri and Hilmiye wonder why the alarm went off. Peri sends the security to check another area and the women take the opportunity to look through the house. It’s sparsely furnished. There’s nothing in the kitchen cabinets. They head up to the bedroom. A suitcase, a change of clothes, a telescope. Peri says this woman doesn’t live here. And the telescope is pointed right at their house! Peri looks in a drawer and finds scans of someone named Seskim Gozalmis. The ladies have to hurry back downstairs, security is ready to leave.
Rahmi is at Rose Kitchen. He says he’s done with the painting. Fatma asks if he ran into anyone. No. Rahmi explains that Fatma saw a horrible woman who wouldn’t greet her. Muka comments they recognized her and they are uneasy.
Kadir and Omer show up with good news. Resat and Munir are done for. You should have seen their faces. Flashback to some words outside the prosecutor’s office. Kadir says, I’m going to find the false medical reports and those who signed them and accepted bribes! You won’t get away with this! Kadir wants to make a deal—confess your son’s crimes now. If you accept the charges now, your sentence might be reduced. End flash.
Kadir reconfirms that the evidence proves the rotten ricos were not at home that night. Omer adds that Musto has told everything that’s happened until today. How they bought him off, gave him a gun so he’d go after Kerim. Omer mentions the gun is missing. Kerim threw it in the water. It’s been a year so it might not be found but they will try. Mustafa also told about Yasar and they are looking for him now.
Muka says good for Mustafa. Fatma snaps back that he should have spoken sooner, then they would have been caught. He gave them time to run away. Meryem agrees.
Resat and Munir make plans to smuggle Yasar out of the country.
Peri finds some info on Seskin Gozalmis. They had a contract with him 10 years ago. He sold his company and no one’s heard from him since. Resat is pissed to find Peri snooping around. Peri’s not giving up her investigation.
Kerim and Fahr meet with the lawyer. He says his client knows nothing about this. His daughter wouldn’t do this. Kerim is hoping for some clue of where the fugitives might be. Fahr says if the girl is innocent, why is she hiding? Why doesn’t she defend herself? The lawyer sticks to his story. Fahr says, we know Ayce is involved in this. You don’t know what trash these guys are. Kerim steps in, we are not accusing your client of anything, we re just asking for his help.
Fahr adds, let’s assume that Ayce isn’t in her father’s business. Let’s assume that she met these guys by coincidence. They could have forced her to help them. How can you do nothing when you know the girl is in danger? The lawyer won’t budge. Fahr says what kind of father is he? He wouldn’t want those guys near his daughter. Kerim asks the lawyer to tell his client. Fahr drives the point home, if something happens to that girl, you will be responsible and you will have to look her father in the eyes.
The lawyer agrees to talk to his client but thinks nothing will come of it. Fahr says just do it and we’ll see.
Ayce is out of the shower and Selim gives her a message. She makes contact with someone who is hooking her up with a job on a yacht. She’s leaving tonight. Selim is sad she is going. He wonders if he will see her again. Who knows, she replies. Selim says he will go so she can get dressed. She calls him back and says they will meet again. He gives her a little kiss, which turns into a bigger kiss and….
Kerim checks in with Kadir and lets him know about the meeting with the lawyer. Fatma comes over and wants to speak with Kerim. Kadir says Kerim was in a hurry and had to hang up. Everyone is hoping for some good news when Kerim and Fahr return. A double celebration, Muka says. She asks what they are doing for Kerim’s birthday. It’s up to Fatma, Meryem says. Muka twists the knife—that’s if he comes back in time. He’ll come back, Fatma says hopefully. Muka replies, if he doesn’t, you can go and surprise him.
Meryem gets Kadir alone and asks if Kerim has told him anything else. Like what? Meryem says, something is wrong, I think he left on purpose. Muka listens intently. Meryem continues, something is bothering him, Fatma is worried. Kadir agrees that it was strange the way Kerim hung up and didn’t want to talk. Meryem says she’s going to call Kerim later and try to find out.
Rahmi goes back to the new house and finds paint buckets spilled all over the floor. There is blue paint on the wall “defolun” – get out.
Cut: Musto gets the divorce decree and rips it up. a cellmate comments it’s not the letter he was expecting and it leads to a scuffle in the cell.
Hacer gets money and Sami tells Demir no money until we see the power of attorney. He wants to be sure Demir will be out of Hacer’s life for good. Demir is pissed and Sami has to push him back. Sami warns Demir that Hacer is not alone and he will kill anyone who touches her. Demir says, ah, you are protecting you prostitute. Sami slugs him. Hacer says honor the conditions if you don’t want to return to Germany without money.
The security guy informs Lale what happened with the alarm. She’s steamed that they let Peri into her house. No one has the right to enter my house without my permission! She asks him for the keys. He says we need to keep a copy for security. Lale says she’s changing the locks. She doesn’t care if the house burns down, she doesn't want anyone in her house. Cut: Lale goes up to her bedroom and sees Peri staring at her from her window.
Cut: Erdo returns from his shift and finds a guilty looking Ayce and Selim. Selim tells Erdo that Ayce is leaving. Ayce leaves to get food and Selim puts his coat to go with her. Erdo stops him, you slept with her? Tell me. MYOB, Selim replies. Erdo gets a peek at them kissing in the hallway.
Cut: Erdo is out in a bar. There are guys from work there, too. One tries to start a conversation with him. [This is in English] Erdo doesn’t feel like talking. The guy tips over Erdo’s beer. Erdo puts his money down and tries to leave but another guy stops him. The questioning continues. They want to know why Erdo doesn’t talk to them. What is he afraid of? Is he working without a permit? Another guy trips him. Erdo can’t hold his temper anymore and throws a punch. Erdo gets the crap beat out of him.
Cut: Rahmi paints over the defaced wall. Muka calls him. It’s late, come home.
Fatma is working on her wedding dress. Muka comes in. Your brother is up to something, she tells Fatma, I think something went wrong and he’s trying to fix it. Muka says she wants to go check it out. Kadir comes upstairs. Fatma asks if Meryem is downstairs, she needs some help with her dress. Muka is going out so she will get Meryem.
Meryem is outside. She’s talking to Kerim. They are talking about the false medical report. They need to find witnesses. Meryem tells him not to spend too much time in Bodrum. He should come back. I have things to do here, he replies. Fatmagul is feeling very lonely, she tells him. Kerim says he’s staying a little longer. What is going on, Meryem asks. It’s nothing, he says.
Muka comes out of the house and listens. Meryem continues, clearly something is wrong. You don’t even call her and when she calls you, you’re sharp with her. What is bothering you? It’s not important, Kerim replies. Meryem tells him Fatma is very sad. She tries not to show it. She went to talk to Emre today. What did Emre say, Kerim asks? Nothing much, Meryem says. Meryem thinks Kerim is being unfair. He’s left without finishing the house. Muka keeps bothering her. She told Fatma “Kerim left because the wedding date is coming up”
Kerim looks upset but he’s not talking. Meryem presses on, why don’t you tell me what is bothering you? Tell me so I can help. Kerim can’t hold it in anymore. He blurts, Mustafa sends Fatma letters every day. He writes letters, Meryem asks, how do you know? Muka moves to another spot.
Kerim says, she hid them, I saw them. Meryem can’t believe this. Kerim says it’s the truth, I saw them with my own eyes. When I told her, she threw them away. Why is she hiding them? Why is she reading them? Meryem thinks this is ridiculous and she’s getting annoyed. Kerim says Fatma told him it was one letter and she tossed it without reading. I realized Fatma was lying.
Meryem responds, even if she lied and received letters every day, and hid those letters… she read them and threw them away. What’s the problem? Kerim says, Fatma can’t get that man out of her mind. She allows him to come between us. Meryem pleads, after all this time you spent with her, after all you have been through, are you going to stay away from her because she read some stupid letters? Don’t you see her effort to be happy with you?
Kerim asks, does she do it for me or to forget about Mustafa? Meryem is ticked he’s being so unfair to Fatma. She tells Kerim the convo is over and she hangs up on him.
Meryem turns to see Muka there. Muka calls out, well said! Spoken wisely. She got letters from Mustafa? Is that why he left all of a sudden? Meryem says don’t ask, she’s very upset. Fatma is too, Muka says, she didn’t sleep last night… with Kerim leaving and Musto’s letters. Meryem warns the witch not to mention this to Fatma. Don’t meddle. [too late]
Fatma calls Meryem. She needs help taking her measurements for the dress. Fatma asks if she spoke with Kerim. Yes, things are not going well that’s why he’s preoccupied. They spoke to the doctor who signed the report and argued with him. He doesn’t want you to worry and he wants to keep you away from it. Meryem changes the subject to the wedding bouquet.
Selim and Ayce walk down the street and see cop cars and Erdo being taken out of the bar. They hightail it out of there.
Meltem and Ender are driving and they see a truck leaving the Yasaran lot. Meltem wonders if Selim and Erdo could be hiding inside. They follow the truck. We see Yasar hiding inside. They get the plate number.
Rahmi tells Kadir in confidence, what happened at the house.
Muka wants to see the wedding dress but Meryem says no one should see it before the wedding. Everyone saw the other dress and it was bad luck.
Muka asks Fatma if she has spoken to Kerim. She says yes, and she will call him later. Muka smirks.
Kerim and Fahr are at dinner. Kerim drinks. Fahr asks, you were going to tell me something. Is there something you want to talk to me about? I know, since we are so much like each other. I know what you are feeling. Yes, Kerim admits, we are so much like each other. I am living the same thing as you. I am with a woman who has a story with another man, like my mother. No, Fahr says.
It’s true, Kerim replies, I am the same as you. Knowing there is another person in her heart, I am trying to make a small space there. I’m trying to make her accept me. I love her like crazy. Just like you told me. I’m being selfish by disregarding her feelings. I don’t know if I can be as patient as you are, he tells his father. I can’t even stand hearing that man’s name. How can I stand his presence in her mind? I am scared of losing control and upsetting Fatma. Maybe I will choose to go away like you did. Like I am doing now.
Fahr says it’s not the same. You have no right to do this to her. I married a woman despite knowing she didn’t love me. Fatmagul loves you. That man will always be somewhere in her mind, Kerim replies. You don’t know what you are saying because of jealousy, Fahr tells him. Fatma is reading that man’s letters, she’s hiding them, Kerim says, and she’s lying to me saying she didn’t read them.
Fahr thinks there must be a good reason for what she is doing. Maybe she thought you’d be upset, just as you are now. Kerim says, since I saw those letters, I keep remembering my mother’s letter. I know Fatma can never get that man out of her heart. Don’t be ridiculous, Fahr says. You are the only one in Fatma’s heart. I am sure. Kerim wishes he could be sure.
Fahr says, when you were in the ICU, Fatma spoke with me. As she waited for you to open your eyes, I saw you in the tears running down her face. I saw how much she really loves you. I thought, “Kerim is really lucky”. Kerim says, that man is planning 15 years ahead. He is never going to lose hope for her. No matter what he does, Fahr assures, whatever he plans, Fatmagul will always be with you. He’s not a normal man. Would Fatma choose a man who did all those things to her, over you?
Kerim says, but even I can’t forgive myself. Why would she want to be with me? You are Fatmagul’s impossible love. You’re a miracle for her. That night in the hospital she said, “we loved each other in the middle of impossible”. Kerim asks, really?
Yes, Fahr answers, your mother never told me anything like that. If she looked into my eyes even once, I never would have given up. You are the only innocent one in our story. And Fatmagul is the only innocent one in yours. Don’t forget that. Kerim wipes a tear. I made a big mistake leaving you, Fahr admits, don’t make the same mistake. Do you really believe that, Kerim asks?
I swear I believe it with all my heart, Fahr replies. Don’t turn your back on Fatmagul while you love each other so much or you will regret it the rest of your life. Fatma loves you in the middle of impossible. Cherish her love.
And we are out.
dondi356, for some reason part 6 of your recap wound up in Spam. I've now got it back where it belongs. I wish we could figure out why this happens, but so far, no luck.
Dondi, thank you so much!! Such a frustrating episode! One step forward three steps back as always!! Ah!!
I can't believe I actually thought at first the Muka Muka was (accidentally) doing something good by taking the letters before Fatma could be upset by seeing them! Of course she had to do something evil and ruin it! What an hateful and ungrateful woman!! She has plenty of reasons to be happy and grateful but she chooses misery!!
The first time I was ever sorry to hear a Yeseran scene got cut. I would have liked to see Erdo get his ass kicked!! Too bad!
Rhami is a good brother! Trying to keep Fatma from being upset and repainting the house!
Those stupid letters! Kerim loses his mind of course and poor Fatma painted as a liar and having to watch Kerim leave and knowing something is wrong without any idea of what is going on! So confusing and heartbreaking!! And Muka enjoys her handiwork! She is so awful!!
I can't imagine what makes these women want these horrible men! Sauce knows exactly who and what Selim is and she still wants to be with him? To ruin her life and incriminate herself in order to be with him??? Why?
Never thought Erdo would get caught before Selim, Selim is stupid though I doubt his freedom will last much longer. He doesn't have the character to make it on the run by himself, he is definitely the follower and not the leader.
This was the most exciting episode yet. And you outdid yourself on this one, VVS! You did it more than justice, but I understand it when you say you could have gone on! There was so much to process.
Azize is down but I won’t count her out yet.
I wonder why Fusun went into hibernation for so long. Was she waiting for Aslan to grow up, just like Azize waited for Miran to be old enough to take revenge? Revenge is a dish best served cold.
Still can't figure out why Harun is mixed up in this.
Azize has something good on Esma. It must have something to do with Firat. We don’t know who his father is. Don’t tell me he is another Aslanbey and was given to Esma for “safe keeping”.
Nasuh will be in for the next shocker, Azize is Ayse! Followed by Azize finding out Hazar is her dead baby!
It was too good to be true, Miran reverts to his toddler tantrum self.
If Azize is so sick and twisted to brainwash a small child to grow up to kill his own father, she’s sick enough to keep Dilsah locked up somewhere for 30 years.
Thanks again, VVS!
ps Thank you Juanita, for restoring my Fatma recap!
Thanks for your comments carmella and dondi356. I felt like you carmella, sort of speechless as I watched last night, I kept having to rewind to see if I really saw and heard everything correctly.
I am also curious about Harun dondi356, his reaction learning that Fusun returned was a bit too surprised. Could Harun be an Aslanbey?
The more I thought about it today, I also think Azize is twisted enough to lock Dilsah away for 30 years.
There are still so many questions! Hopefully we don’t fall into a long, dragged out Miran pity party. I think crazy Aslan might help keep the plot moving along! Have fun recapping tonight Juanita!
Thanks, Darcy.
Erdo's ass kicking wasn't long enough.
There aren’t enough words to express how awful Muka is. She sold Fatma, forcing her to marry Kerim. She constantly tortured both with her machinations and hurtful comments, and now that they are happy together, she’s trying to break them apart.
I love Kerim but I’m just as ticked at him as Meryem is. Emre, Meryem and Fahr made great cases for how much Fatma loves him. Kerim is afraid of upsetting Fatma, but this is exactly what he is doing! While Fatma is getting better, he is stuck in guilt and insecurity.
I really loved the father son convo at the end of the ep. Fahr was so happy that Kerim could open up to him like that. Kerim needs his father. So in a way, it was good he went to Bodrum.
Dear Dondi, wowee wow wow...thank you so much for that excellent detailed recap of a frustrating episode.
Muka is a jealous , hateful manipulator .She cannot stand Fatmagul's happiness . I wouldn't doubt that she fantasizes about being with sweet , handsome Kerim. She would love to change places with Fatmagul.
I was disappointed in Keri . Every time he gets upset, he goes out drinking . Not good. Communicating and being honest with your loved one is what makes for a strong, happy , loving relationship. If only he had talked to Fatmagul about finding those letters, they would have figured out that Muk had set a malicious trap .
Fahr gave Kerim excellent advice . He has become the father Kerim needs.
Sami is galan material . What a change in character. What a hero . Yay Sami. I love good guys in telenovelas and in real life.
Dondi, 'While Fatma is getting better, he is stuck in guilt and insecurity' this is exactly the problem I see. Fatma is healing, growing and moving on. Kerim has not done the same healing work. It keeps reminding me of his words in the letter from the very beginning when he told her that only after she healed her wounds would he seek to heal his own (or something like that). She's healing her wounds, it's his turn. If he wasn't so blinded by his own guilt and insecurity it would probably be as obvious to him as it is to everyone else that Fatma definitely has moved on! The only one still holding on to the past is Kerim.
Thanks so much, dondi, for the excellent recap. I am caught up. I am having to exercise more restraint than Miran in Hercai to keep from throwing my shoes through the television screen. Will there ever be any adequate punishment for Muka? The idea of Kerim and Fatma moving into a new home is KILLING her! I could kick Kerim in the butt for falling for it and not telling Fatmagul what's bothering him.
Muka and Erdo would make a good couple. They could jealously stew in corners together while other people with better social skills go on with their lives. Erdo was so jealous of Selim's bedding Ayce that he almost brought the whole thing down on their heads. I'm not clear if the ones who arrested him knew who he was or if he was in the back of the police car for being in a fight. I'm sure I'll find out this evening.
Perhaps, Kerim is struggling with moving forward as fatmagul seems to be doing because it is easier to forgive than to accept forgiveness and to forgive yoyrself.
VVS, I think I remember Harun saying or perhaps implying at one point many episodes ago that he was an Aslanbey. Of course, I trust very little that he says.
I appreciate your wishing me good luck with tonight's recap. Alas, I'm afraid I will have to disappoint. There is no way I can write a real recap of a 2-hour episode that ends at 11PM. I'm hoping to do something like novelera did last Thursday, a short account of what happened. That will give the patio the chance to add details in the comments. Fortunately, on Feb. 14, we go back to 1-hour episodes.
Hercai2: #50 - p 1 of 3
[NOTE: There's no way I can do a real recap of a 2-hour episode that ends at 11PM. Instead, I will try to write this short account of what happened. Others can fill in the many missing details in the comments.]
As the episode opens, Hazar is preparing to leave to meet Miran at his parents' graves. Nasuh and Cihan try to persuade him not to go, but Hazar insists on leaving. He tells them not to follow him.
Meanwhile, Aslan enters ReyMir's room. He sees the huge framed photo of the two of them on horseback. He throws the photo on the floor, smashing the frame and the glass. He takes out the photo, tears Miran out of the photo, and puts the part with Reyyan in his pocket. He then goes through various drawers and finds her passport. He pockets that as well. He then makes a call about a flight he has arranged. He changes the airport to Batman Airport. Sultana comes in and sees the mangled photo on the floor. He tells her he found it that way.
Miran and Hazar meet outside the cemetary. Hazar tells Miran that Mehmet was not his father. He tries to explain to Miran what happened the night Mehmet and Dilsah died. Miran refuses to accept this. He claims that if Hazar really loved Dilsah, he would have defected from the army to join her. "You are nothing to me," he tells Hazar. What really sets Miran off is Hazar's claim that Mehmet killed himself. Repeatedly Miran insists, "My father did not commit suicide!" He leaves the cemetary.
Sultana takes Fusun to a large room in the Aslanbey mansion. Fusun talks about Azize's coming as a servant and seducing Fusun's brother. "He married her in spite of the burns on her back," she says. Sultana wonders what burns. Fusun leaves the room, and Sultana gloats, "Your day has arrived, Sultana."
ReyMir come to Esma's house. "Where is Azize?" They keep asking, but Esma, clearly upset, doesn't answer.
Hazar is at the destroyed tombstone of Dilsah. "Could you be alive?" he asks. He says he felt something near his heart even when he was angry with Miran. "I'll never leave him, I promise, Dilsah." As he says this, his hand is on the broken tombstone.
Azize thinks about Hazar and Miran dead. She orders Mahmoud to find Hazar and kill him. "As you wish, Señora" replies Mahmoud. She envisions Nasuh coming to the konak and being with her when he hears of his son's death. Her thoughts are interrupted by the arrival of ReyMir. Miran asks her, "Did your son commit suicide in front of you?" She replies Yes. Miran tells her that Hazar Sadoglu is not his father. "I have no father and no grandmother. Just my wife. I'm not an Aslanbey or a Sadoglu. I'm just Miran." He steps closer to Azize. Mahmoud is at her side and is holding his pistol, pointing down. Miran continues, "I will kill you" and suddenly he grabs Mahmoud's pistol. "But not with this," he says, removing the bullets. "You'll die, and I'll be at your burial, to let you know that I'm the only one who remembers your name." Miran leaves. Mahmoud asks Azize, "What now?" Azize says "Miran will never accept Hazar as his father. "There's no need to kill Hazar right now."
A depressed Hazar returns to the Sadoglu konak. Nasuh advises him to be patient. One can't undo 30 years in a single day. Hazar tells Nasuh that he remembers everything. Mehmet killed himself. Nasuh says he knows, Fusun told him. Hazar asks whether Fusun said anything about Dilsah. He tells Nasuh about Azize's claim that Dilsah is alive. Nasuh tells him not to let Azize mess with his head, or he'll lose Miran forever. Hazar feels if Dilsah were alive, Miran wouldn't suffer so much.
Hercai2: #50 - p 2 of 3
Fusun enters Azize's room. She sees the photos of Azize's sons as young boys (and perhaps a color photo of a young Elif?). Then she sees the photo of a woman surrounded by three girls and a boy. Probably the girls include Azize and Hanife, but who is the other girl, and who is the rather tall boy? There's a sign at the top that says MARDIN and another word. Mardin is a town. Is that where Azize and Hanife are from?
ReyMir arrive at the cabin. Both are very tense. Miran breaks down before entering the cabin. He remembers himself as a young boy in pajamas being put to bed, perhaps by Dilsah? He also remembers a different scene where he is being taught to hate Hazar Sadoglu. They enter the cabin. Miran tells Reyyan, "You are my past and my future. Only with you can I breathe and have peace." He starts a fire in the fireplace. Reyyan falls asleep and he carries her to their bed. He stares lovingly at her, and gently touches parts of her face. Their theme song plays.
Firat is on the property where Zeynep has been hired. He is throwing large rocks in frustration. Zeynep asks if he's OK. "Does it look like I'm OK? It's better if you leave," he replies. Zeynep tells him he doesn't know her well, but she wants him to know that she doesn't ignore those who need her. Firat asks, "Has your mother every betrayed you?" Zeynep suggests that she make some tea and listen over a cup of tea.
Aslan yells at Sultana for pressuring him to look for his sister and get to know her.
In the cabin, Reyyan says optimistically, "Azize, Aslan, the notes--it's over." Miran points out that he has lost 30 years of his life. Reyyan points out that the rest of their lives lie ahead. She asks him what he would like. He doesn't know. She assures him, "Whatever you decide, I'll be with you." His phone rings. Zehra is calling. She tells him she needs him to come, and without Reyyan. She asks him to meet in the blue garden near the house. He makes an excuse to Reyyan and leaves.
Aslan meets with three guys. He hands them the keys to his car and takes the keys for a different car. He tells them to get rid of his car, perhaps leave it on the road. He thinks, "It will be just a short while until Reyyan and I are together."
Zehra and Sukran are sitting in the breakfast room. Handan comes in and wants to speak with Zehra in private. Zehra explains that Sukran is Miran's grandmother and thus a member of the family. Handan insists that Sukran is not family (presumably because Miran is not family in Handan's eyes). Zehra won't meet with Handan alone, and Handan leaves.
Hazar asks Azize whether Dilsah is alive. Azize replies, "If she were, you'd be dead." But then, alone, she says "Dilsah is alive." Huh?
Firat and Zeynep have apparently talked about what's bothering him (they must have done so during the commercials). Suddenly, Fusun comes riding up on a white horse. She wants to talk to Firat alone. Firat insists that Zeynep stays. Firat refuses to turn over the Aslanbey assets to her. She tries bargaining with him. "What do you want?" she asks. "You can't give me what I want," he replies. Fusun tells him that he can't stop her, as he and Miran will find out very soon.
There's a knock at the cabin door. Reyyan opens it and sees Aslan. He tells her, "Miran went to see Azize and is planning to do something terrible. We have to do somethng. Come with me." Reyyan doesn't trust him. She tries to pretend that she just needs to get something, and then she tries to shut the door. Aslan pushes open the partly closed door, grabs Reyyan, and drags her to the car.
Hercai2: #50 - p 3 of 3
Miran waits at the blue garden for Zehra. Hazar appears and admits that Zehra had called. Miran tells Hazar, "You're the man responsible for my mother's death" [which I guess is slight progress, since he's not claiming that Hazar killed Dilsah]. He tells Hazar never to cross paths with him or with Reyyan. Hazar points out that he will always want to see his daughter. Miran replies, "You're not the father of Reyyan, but she is my wife."
In the car, the delusional Aslan insists, "We'll be very happy, Reyyan." She asks him to please stop. He won't. But the ever resourceful Reyyan sees her phone and pushes the button that will call Miran. Aslan quickly sees what she's done, but Miran answers the call and hears Reyyan pleading with Aslan to let her go.
A letter arrives at the Sadoglu konak. Seyda signs for it. It's for Nasuh. Seyda gives it to him. Harun comes to see Nasuh. He sees the envelope and realizes it's from Aslan. He "accidentally" spills some tea, and when Nasuh gets up to find Melike to come clean up the mess, Harun takes the letter, makes apologies to the returning Nasuh, and leaves. Once outside the konak, he reads the letter. Aslan says "By the time you read this, Reyyan and I will be gone." He goes on to include a letter from Hanife telling about Azize, and also mentions that Harun was working for him, and married Yaren as part of his duties. Harun immediately calls Mahfouz. Mahfouz calls Aslan. He tries to find out where Aslan is. Aslan tells him that Reyyan and he will be happy together. Mahfouz tells Aslan he knows his love is genuine, he just wants to help him. Aslan knows he is lying. Mahfouz remembers a discussion with Aslan about airports.
With Hazar in the car, Miran too is going after Aslan. Aslan has a flat tire. When he gets out to deal with it, Reyyan tries to escape. She falls. He drags her along, and one of her boots comes off. Miran comes upon the car Aslan was using, opens the door, sees a cloth with ether on it. He's livid.
Aslan tells Reyyan, "I came here just for you." He notices that both boots are off. He accuses her of trying to leave tracks. She runs again. He fires his gun in the air. She stops.
Fusun comes to Esma's and is told that Sra. Azize is not here. Fusun tells Esma that she came to talk to her. "Your son is giving me problems. He won't give me the Aslanbey resources." Fusun threatens to tell Firat about Esma's past, and then she leaves. Azize returns. Esma tells her that Fusun had come and asked about Azize.
Aslan wants to go with Reyyan. She starts to leave. He shoots near her feet. Reyyan tells him to go ahead and kill her. She moves his hand so that his pistol is pointed at her head. "Kill me, because I will never love you, Aslan." Miran arrives, gun drawn. Aslan grabs Reyyan and tells Miran to put down the gun. We see a desperate Miran with his gun hand shaking as the episode ends.
Thank you Juanita for your recap! I appreciate your summary that hits all points cause, honestly, 2 hrs is way too long! Not only to recap, I’m sure, but also to watch! I work 12 1/2 hrs as a nurse and that doesn’t include the travel time to and from work. I’m tired! Lol and find myself falling asleep half the time, haha.
Anyhoo, Miran is still exhausting! Go sit your azz down somewhere Miran, and just process the life changing information you so harshly received. Let it rest and breathe and put it into some perspective instead of running around like a lunatic, yelling and screaming about you know who you are, and Hazar will never be your Dad, and you’re gonna kill everybody, yada, yada, yada…….yawn! You look like a puffer fish with your eyes popping outta your head and your cheeks blowing up as you yell and spit in misguided anger. The only person, and I mean the only person you should be angry with about everything is AZIZE! Everyone else is just a victim, especially Hazar who is about to find out ( I think) that he has the mother from hell! But I do have to give it to Nasuh, as was mentioned before, that he certainly has become the voice of reason. Wish, as the patriarch, I could’ve admired this characteristic he’s now displaying earlier in the drama! Lol
Aslan is really showing his crazy, and I believe Sultana now more than suspects that something is off with her son. Did you see the look of pure glee on Sultana’s face as she envisioned that her “day” has finally come? IMO, she is the worst mother ever, with a jacked up personality disorder. Both her and Fusun need somebody to stick a pin in them cause they’re both full of hot air! Also full of hot air——- Handan and Cihan. Cihan is such a bitch-boy, jealous and petty 2nd son! All he’s thinking about is Miran usurping Azat and taking some of their inheritance. Take a good look Cihan! Miran can’t STAND y’all! He wants to be close to y’all about as much as he wants a case of poison ivy. You are such a jerk off! Miran is annoying, but he and Hazar have been robbed! Robbed of 30 yrs building a father-son relationship, Miran robbed of having a close primo relationship with Azat, even though he’s had Firat. Robbed of his sense of self and fed hate and revenge daily by a woman who lost her integrity and morals eons ago. Have some compassion you WUSS! I’d have to say the same about Esma in the integrity and morals dept too, sad to say.
I’m happy they’re giving Firat a thoughtful and pretty woman—-he deserves it. I wonder how the whole legal thing will work out though? I’m sure Firat must’ve been really good at protecting Aslanbey assets and Fusun should acknowledge that fact, because if it weren’t for Firat they wouldn’t have any. I think Harun is Fusun’s son, although I’m wondering if Aslan knows that or not? Something’s off and I’m missing a connection here. Also, if Dilsah is alive, will she be angry and blame Hazar like Miran? Or will she be out to kill Azize??? Will she too, be crazy after being locked away for 30 yrs???? Will Hazar leave Zehra for Dilsah?? So many questions still! Lol
Thanks again Juanita! Much appreciated!!
Thank you dondi356 for your excellent recap too! I worked all weekend and just caught up, and didn’t get a chance to comment.
You are appreciated!
Juanita, this is a terrific recap! As you have told me many times, don’t apologize because this recapping gig is hard work, especially with the 2 hours episodes being so late this time around. I will also be glad when we go back to one-hour episodes.
Aslan is very delusional and clever. He set up a private medical plane at the Batman airport for his escape with Reyyan. Thank goodness Mahfuz remembered a conversation with Aslan asking if planes could land at that airport. It was Mahfuz who gave him the idea of a private plane, supposedly to make Fusun’s arrival more discreet and comfortable.
I was also confused about the conversation between Hazar and Azize regarding Dilsah. Those evil wheels in Azize’s head keep turning. I did hear her call herself Ayse last night. Is there a chance that the pre-fire Ayse might still have a tiny spark of life in that evil shell?
I am glad Miran just decided to be Miran. It is funny that he and Hazar get pushed back together to find Reyyan. I liked Reyyan’s idea of just picking up and leaving everything to start their life together.
In the letter that Aslan sent to Nasuh, it also stated that Harun is not who he says he is and has many secrets. I am very interested to find out what role he plays in all of this. I think you might be on to something carmella, maybe Harun is related to Fusun?
The whole scene with Fusun and Esma was fascinating. What is Esma’s past? Could Firat be an another Aslanbey? I liked how Firat stood up to Fusun and I am glad there are sparks with Zeynep.
Reyyan is pretty clever as well leaving her shoes as bread crumbs. She has always had a missing shoe thing going on.
I REALLY appreciate the recap Juanita! Thank you!
Juanita...Awesomeness 💫🌟💥💥⭐️awesome,Awesomely recapping!🥊🥊Appreciate
it Mucho!
Yea........!its needed now more than ever because..📿📿📿we are turning a corner this story line🎱🎱⏱⌛️🕯
Omg...Aslan..Aslan... You were the man! Why did the writers dog out your plot line...so sad...you were the Coolest dude!
Oh well"...🍵🍵🍵☕️
I agree with you..abt Firat n Harun
Carmella you are so on point....🥊🥊🥊🥊🎤🎤
Question? Has Esma and Firat ever had a conversation about his father that so missed? It was mentioned that MAYBE Firat is an Aslanbey, and that’s got me thinking…..
Love your comment HALIMACANDY! You are so right about Aslan! What a WASTE of a hot man! Sigh…….
Juanita, thank you for every detail as these people spin Out of control in every direction . This show should have made entitled " Crazy People with Guns" or maybe '' I'm Going to Kill You\Him\Her\Them. "
I agree that Aslan is a disappointment . He seemed to be the strong silent type , but he turned out to be the creepy, crazy type. We Already had enough of those. Now yippy, huffy, puffy Angry Bangs is the only galan we have . Que lastima. Sometimes I fear that Mir might pass out from hyperventilating with all the huffying, puffing, yelling.
It sure looks like Dilsuh is alive . Where?.How?.
Tia Fusan has proven to be a force that has temporarily stopped Azz's reign of terror. Were they throwing Azz's colorful hoodies over the balcony? And Fusan knows a secret about Esme's past. Poor Esme. As if she hasn't bad enough of a burden being Azz's bff. Uff

HalimaCandy what an interesting hijabs factoid!
carmella, as far as I remember, there was only one brief convo about Firat's father being dead. This occurred when Esma passed out in the courtyard after something Azize told her upstairs. Firat referred to himself as an orphan like Miran and Gonul so I assumed that meant his father was dead.
Aslan is a huge disappointment, get back on your meds, you were so much better and gave us patio folks hope!
Thank you, Juanita, nothing lacking in your recap.
Appreciate the explanations, HalimaCandy
I didn’t think this ep was as exciting as the last two. But I did enjoy the look on Azize’s face when they tossed her things off the balcony.
Have you noticed that Azize is not wearing a hijab in the older flashbacks? When and why did she make that change?
Aslan has a mental illness, what’s no last name Miran’s excuse?
Firat’s wish to be a real Aslanbey might come true. And I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out Harun is an Aslanbey as well. Seems they got kinfolk stashed all over the place. Wonder what Yaren will do if she finds out she’s married to an Aslanbey!
MANY thanks, carmella, VVS, Halimacandy, and Susanlynn, for your wonderfully insightful and supportivecomments.
Carmella, I always look forward to your comments! I absolutely loved your description of Miran as "a puffer fish with your eyes popping outta your head and your cheeks blowing up." And I think you may be on to something with your suggestion that Harun may be Fusun's son. As for Dilsah, I'm hoping she's dead. I've never been a Zehra fan, but I just can't see killing off the mother of Reyyan, Gul, and the baby (it's highly unlikely she'd just agree to yield her place to Dilsah. And it's hard to believe that Dilsah could have remained sane after being imprisoned by Azize for 30 years.)
VVSI really appreciated your encouraging and very helpful comments. Thanks for the details about Aslan's having set up a private medical plane at the Batman airport. And I too am very curious about Harun and his secrets. Finally, yes, I think it's quite possible that Firat may turn out to be an Aslanbey. Didn't Gonul come upon some adoption papers for Firat? Is Esma not really his mother? Or, perhaps, did she give birth to him out of wedlock with an Aslanbey as the father?
Halimacandy, thanks VERY much for your enthusiastic response to the recap and your identifying Azize's things being tossed out by Fusun's minions as her hijabs. I was very interested in your discussion of hijabs as well. And I loved all the visuals! Where do you find them?
Susanlynn, I love your suggested dizi title "I'm Going to Kill You\Him\Her\Them." And it seems that several of us are disappointed that the extremely good-looking Aslan has turned out to be extremely crazy. What a waste! BTW, I hope you won't mind if I start calling Miran "Angry Bangs." It's perfect!
Thanks very much, dondi356, for your incisive and delightful comments. I didn't see your posting until I had posted mine.
I agree with you that this episode wasn't as exciting as the two that preceded it. I guess we should appreciate the chance to catch our breath.
I hadn't noticed that Azize hasn't always worn a hijab. You raise an interesting question about when she started to do so.
I too think there's a chance that both Firat and Harun could turn out to be Aslanbeys. I loved your observation "Seems they got kinfolk stashed all over the place. Wonder what Yaren will do if she finds out she’s married to an Aslanbey!"
Juanita....Someone else gave Miran the nickname Angry Bangs. Loved it ...so right on the money for him. I get such a kick out of his fuming and fussing and also his striving around all large and in charge .
I would like to see the actor playing Aslan in a galan role .
Juanita, that was a fantastic recap! You covered everything and in very good style. Thanks so much for putting up with the two-hour crap they're putting us through.
As Carmella mentioned, Sultana got a good look at her baby boy's character. She can't really be blamed for how he's turned out. She never had a chance to impart any good things.
Boy these Aslanbeys seem to abound in evilness. Azize isn't one by blood. But Fusun seems pretty ruthless, especially the way she treated Firat. Firat was planning to do whatever legal thing gave the control of assets to Miran, but never apparently did so. And two of Azize's sons, who are Aslanbeys, were pretty bad news. Mehmet was willing to drag Dilsah out of her mother's home. And Gonul and Aslan's father was a violent wifebeater.
ITA, Carmella, about Miran's behavior. I know we're going to end up with his accepting Hazar as his father, but the way he's treating him now is awful. Amen with the huffing and puffing being hard to take. Reyyan should stand up to him and tell him to stop treating her papí that way. Didn't the jackass even tell Reyyan Hazar was not her father? I know he told Hazar that. As if all those years of being a loving father count for nothing.
I'm pretty sure I remember Mahfuz telling Aslan over the phone that he was Reyyan's father.
Excellent acting by Aslan actor. He has those really dark, almost black eyes. And they sort of glitter when he goes into his fantasy world.
I hope they're not going with Miran getting shot again. The guy is starting to look like a colander.
Hahaha! The guy is starting to look like a colander, too funny novelera! I needed a good laugh to end the day.
I think coined the Angry Bangs nickname as I know how much dondi356 loves those bangs, lol.
Thanks very much, novelera, for your insightful and delightful comments. Like VVS, I loved "The guy is starting to look like a colander." And I totally agree with what you said about Miran's behavior in last night's episode. Like you, I wish Reyyan would express her disappointment/disapproval/disgust at the way he is treating Hazar. Alas, we seem more bothered by it than she is.
lol, colander. Someone give Miran a glass of water and see if it spurts out of the holes like a looney tunes cartoon.

Father and son appear to let Aslan have his way as Aslan hears voices in his head. He becomes more frantic while pointing the gun alternatively at the father and son duo. Hazar moves in while Miran asks Sr Hazar to retreat. Aslan finally snaps..fires the gun….Hazar takes the bullet…Reyan screams. Another shot is fired…Aslan is shot in the back by Mahfuz. Hazar manages to tell his “hijo” to take care of his sisters if he dies. He closes his eyes...”Sr Hazar….resist ….fight” says Miran while ordering the driver to go faster.
Mahfuz manages to get Aslan to the car…telling him to hang in there….but Aslan is well enough to pull his gun on Mahfuz…forcing him from the car. He tells Mahfuz…you betrayed me and fires his gun in the air…telling Mahfuz he’s not worth it and drives off. Unfortunately…..as he enters the road….a random truck slams directly into his car and it explodes…Mahfuz watches in disbelief.
The news of the incidents….shooting and car accident….make the rounds. We see various painful reactions from the Aslanbey women.
A week has passed. Reyan is tending to her flowers at the love shack…Miran chops wood thinking about the events from a week before…replaying the word “hijo”….and his harsh words for Hazar. On queue….Hazar and Zehra pull up. Reyan is excited…Miran is indifferent. Zehra reminds Hazar he’s still recovering and needs to be careful…and not to pressure Miran. Reyan welcomes them….Miran ignores them.
At a hospital…the Aslanbey women take vigil in the waiting area…all distraught. Azize vengeful tendencies continue as she vows to make Nasuh pay if something happens to her grandson. Guess that means Aslan survived the horrific explosion…..but how. A doctor comes out….confirms his condition has not changed. Fuson asks him to give it to them straight…will he ever wake up….no promises are made….it’s a miracle he survived the crash. Fusun consoles Sultana…even Azize tells her not to give up hope. This enrages Sultana who lunges at Azize…reminding her that it’s all her fault…shut up….she screams at her. “You made his life hell”. Fuson pulls her off Azize who defends herself… her actions were meant to protect her beloved grandson. Azize tries to redirect blame to Fuson…but Sultana knows who’s at fault…telling Azize to shut up.
Meanwhile Gonul is outside crying. She blames everyone….begs God not to make Aslan pay for their sins. For some reason….she calls Azat…she needs his help getting to Reyan. Not a good idea he thinks but she begs.
Reyan and Zehra go for a walk and discus the prior week….Azize’s reaction if something happens to Aslan. Zehra assures her all will work out. Reyan’s not so sure about Miran….he’s not going to accept Hazar she thinks. Zehra’s optimistic based on how he reacted at the hospital.

Part 2
Hazar tries to reach Miran….begs him to talk. Miran finally speaks...”you don’t know what happened” barely looking at Hazar. “tell me then” says Hazar. “come on son. Let’s not waste the time we’ve been given.God knows how much time we have left” but Miran holds on to his resentment. Blames Hazar for “abandonment”. Nothing can fix it.(I call B.S. Hazar didn’t even know he was his son…and what happens if you leave military duty in Turkey). Miran does recognize that Hazar saved him from Aslan’s bullet…but while he appreciates it…it doesn’t change anything for him.
Hazar knows Miran will never hug him or call him “papa” but nothing changes the fact that Miran is his son. He’s ok with it because Dislah can rest in peace knowing they found each other. Miran’s heard enough...walks off. “I wouldn’t be like this if my mother was alive” he turns to say. “Who am I talking to…what do you know”. “What do you know about the woman you left behind just because the letters stopped coming…what could you know”. ”it’s your fault my mother died”. He tells Hazar to leave…and goes into the shack.
At the Sad mansion…Nasuf learns from Meleke that ReyMir are still living the love shack. This appears to bother him so he makes a call to one of his men …telling him to rehab the Granada mansion. Cihan wonders out just in time to hear Nasuf make this request for his “grandson” Miran and Reyan. He confronts him….are you giving the mansion that was meant for Azat to Miran. Nasuf explains that Azat is single and he’s fine as is…. “what’s mine is yours and Azat” he says to appease Cihan. “And now Miran as well” adds Cihan. They both question each other’s intentions….but Nasuf is just taking care of family. Cihan is concerned that Miran will now get what’s rightfully Azat’s. Nasuf pushes back… “I’m still alive and you already have plans for what I leave behind”. Cihan doesn’t have plans but he will defend his children’s rights. Nasuf is pissed…he’s not doing anything against Cihan’s kids but he doesn’t want it said that he didn’t accept his own blood….allowing them to live in a shack. Cihan is annoyed that Nasuf is always worried about what other people think over his own family. “I’m just doing what I have to do and you should too says Nasuf”. Cihan calls out to him “don’t worry…I will do what’s necessary for my kids” in a threatening tone.
At the hospital we see a badly burned Aslan as Sultana visits…in tears….prayers….and pleas for his recovery. Her visit is cut short…she leaves telling him he’s not alone anymore. He has his mother now.
Azat and Gonul arrive at the shack. Azat advises her to stay in the car. ReyMir come outside. Warm greetings from Reyan but Miran wants to know why Gonul is there. She wants to talk to Reyan. Forget about it says Miran…Reyan agrees. Azat understands…returns to the car to tell Gonul it’s a no go. She doesn’t take no for answer…bolts from the car calling out to Reyan. ReyMir are inside and hear Azat tries to stop her….Miran gets annoyed. Inside they hear Gonul’s plea…she’s sorry for everything she’s done. She begs Reyan to come out just for a minute to hear her out. Reyan tries to stop Miran who wants to go out and confront her. Outside…Gonul is pleading for forgiveness to save her brother…she cries. ReyMir come out….Reyan suggests the guys leave the women alone. Gonul confesses....begs forgiveness…not wanting her brother to pay for her sins. The guys look on from afar as Gonul on her knees….begs…Reyan believes her. Azat and Miran make their own kind of amends….they are family now says Azat…even though Miran is not there yet. They join the women…Gonul wishes ReyMir happiness.
Fuson and Azize pace the hospital….make accusations…jabs…proclamations at each other. Everyone that Azize touches dies says Fuson but Azize will pay if Aslan dies. Their verbal sparring is interrupted by the appearance of Fusun’s son Harun. Fusun is pissed that Harun revealed himself. Azize marvels at the revelation.

Part 3
Elsewhere…Hazar breaks the news to Zehra that Reyan’s dad has popped up while Fusun chastises Harun for revealing himself. Harun updates Fusun on his activities with Aland and is rewarded with a slap across the face. She’s pissed he abandoned his job to become Aslan’s spy. Harun tries to convince her he did it for them....turning that family on each other. Fuson demands he divorces Yaren right away. Azize looks on from afar…gloating that Fusun’s son has betrayed her.

Hazar walks Zehra to meet Mahfuz…who looks shamed…and claims he came to look out for his daughter. Zehra lashes out…telling him even though he saved her life…he’s not and will never be Reyan’s father…she has Hazar….he should go back to go where he came from. Mahfuz doesn’t intend to confront Reyan…he only wants to know how she’s doing. Zehra threatens him not to go near Reyan…he promises he’s leaving.
Miran consoles Reyan after Gonul’s visit. He understands Gonul’s remorse and assures Reyan they will be fine. Yes…ReyMir are fine…but what about everyone around them...including their dad…Hazar. She lets him know Zehra saw him in the hospital after Hazar was shot. Flashback to Miran checking in on Hazar at the hospital…fretful that he not die. He tried to get into Hazar’s room banging on the door...”he’s not dead…I know he’s alive”. Zehra goes to him but he just bangs on the door begging that someone save Hazar. Finally he turns to Zehra…asking for assurance Hazar is alive.
In the present….Miran apologies to Reyan for his childish actions. With her at his side…they will overcome anything. He thinks back to Reyan realizing why Nasuf never loved her and draws the comparison to him and Azize. They reflect on their lineage…family opportunities before them…but Miran is not ready to take the next steps toward his Sadoglu family. Reyan is a little light headed rising to go insider for dinner. No cause for concern but viewerville knows what it means :>) She actually faints before she gets inside.
Azat and Gonul make a stop on the way back to the city. Her despondence concerns him…he tries to calm her and assure her all will be fine. Before walking off….she realizes she needs his forgiveness as well. He’s speechless.
Back at the love shack…Firat has arrived with a doctor and waits outside with Miran during the examination. The doctor exits….all is fine…watch out for stress…nutrition. Inside Reyan has set the dinner table for 3…but the visitor is far away right now she says. Miran’s not up for a visitor..they should be leaving for the hospital. He picks her up to take her so she has so spring the news….they are having a bebe. A shocked Miran confirms the pregnancy is not a ruse this time…it’s real. They sit...he takes it in as she places his hand on her stomach…their child is growing inside her…part of them both. Miran stands…happy…shock…emotional….they are going to have a baby. He has one of his panic attacks…bolts outside to breath. Runs to the car….”a baby” he says over and over inside. “Miran is going to be father” he repeats. Reyan comes outside and watches. Finally he rushes out of the car and embraces her…”we’re going to have a baby. It’ going to be the happiest baby … no one will harm their child” he swears.
Azize visits with Aslan…” they burned you like they did me and my son” she says. The doctor comes in and assures her they doing all they can...all that’s left is to pray he says as he leaves. She’s been praying for years she says to herself but nobody’s listening. She promises Aslan that if something happens to him...his justice will not have to wait years.
Season 2, Epi 51
Part 4
Azat has a chat with Nasuh who tells him it’s just a matter of time before Miran accepts his real family but he wants to know how Azat feels about Miran being that Azat was the only male without competition all this time. Azat’s not jealous….Miran is his cousin. Azat had both his parents …Miran didn’t grow up with the love of parents. He’s fine with Miran (unlike his conniving parents). Hazar and Zehra make it home..obviously having talked out revealing Mahfuz to Reyan. Zehra’s not having it but Hazar differs. He doesn’t want to and promised Reyan he would never hide anything major from her again. Reyan has the right to know her real father….he doesn’t appear to be threatened by Mahfuz. Reyan interrupts their discussion with a call to tell them about her pregnancy. Zehra is over the moon with the news.
Firat returns the doctor to the hospital but his excitement fades quickly as he remembers what’s going on inside the hospital. He goes inside and speaks with Gonul. Was it an error to reveal Reyan’s pregnancy in front of all the Aslanbey vipers. The news that Miran is about to be a father…while Azize’s lineage is about over….does not sit well with Azize. More danger for ReyMir it seems.
Meanwhile…ReyMir have dinner….plan for the future…. Miran wants a girl that’s just like Reyan he says. Her heart…her face….her strength. He wants to know what her senses are telling her about the baby…she feels like it’s going to be a boy. This might help Miran better understand his dad. Miran’s not sure…he still has thoughts of his childhood…growing up thinking his parents were dead….learning things on his own…then learning about Hazar. “I don’t know how to be a son”. “you will learn when we have our child” says Reyan. You will learn how to be a father and a son she says hopefully. “He will teach me” says Miran as he embraces and lies on Reyan’s stomach
Azat continues his talk with Nasuh….who is concerned about Cihan and the whole Miran thing. Azat thinks Cihan will come around but Nasah is not so sure knowing his temperament Their discussion covers the past including the fire at their farm as well as an investigation into Azize….including a talk with one of her old doctors.
Seems Azize has had a hard life. She’s doesn’t let on but she’s in a lot of pain because of her back. She was burned badly years ago and had several surgeries due to her burns and injuries. Some injuries were related to her burns but some were related to her abusive husband. She had 3 facial surgeries including work on her teeth, nose and chin thanks to her abusive husband.
Azat realizes they need to look into who all was involved in that fire at the farm. …who survived….who didn’t. …only then will they understand what Azize wants. Nasuh explains many people were hurt…several workers died in the fire. He did the research but there is no record of an Azize being involved. Azat shows Nasuf the picture of a female he found in Hanife’s room. The date on the back is erased but Azat is sure it’s a pic of Hanife but clueless as to what she had to do with their farm….unless she came to them as a child.

Both Fatma and Kerim are having sleepless nights.
Meryem tells Kadir she didn’t think living in that neighborhood was a good idea. Kadir says he’ll take a look around there to understand what’s going on. Meryem says no one will say it to their faces. At least they will know Fatma is not alone, Kadir replies. They try to figure out a way to keep Fatma from the house for a while.
Omer calls with good news. Yasar has been caught thanks to Ender and Meltem. He’s being brought to the station for his statement.
Meryem shares the good news with Fatma. Fatma wants to call Kerim. Wait, Meryem says, I have a better idea. We don’t hear this idea.
Ayce is making an emergency escape and asks Selim to come with her. He’s reluctant to leave Erdo. Ayce says there’s nothing he can do for Erdo and if he stays he will get caught. Ayce talks the rescuers to take Selim along and talks Selim into coming.
Cops tell Erdo there is an arrest warrant out for him, and he will be deported. They ask him: where is Selim Yasaran? Is Erdo crying?
Kerim stares out his hotel room window. He picks up his phone and dials. Is he calling Fatma? There’s a knock at is door he answers it with the phone still ringing in his hand. It’s Fatmagul. He’s in total shock and still has the phone to his ear. Surprise! She tells him, if the mountain doesn’t come to you, you need to go to the mountain. “Seni özledim” – I missed you, she says. I missed you, my love, he replies and hugs her tight. Please don’t leave me again, she says. I promise. He picks her up and spins her around. Cut: we see Fahr and Meryem smiling at them from up above. This was the end of Turkish ep 70.
Breakfast in Bodrum. Cut: Kerim asks his dad if he knew they were coming. It was a surprise for Fahr, too. Meryem says she called him from the airport to find out which hotel they were at. Meryem shares that Fatma was so sad last night (Fatma objects to her letting on) , she told her “we are going to Bodrum first flight tomorrow!” If Kerim went to keep his father from being alone, we will go as not to leave Kerim alone. Kerim says he is very glad Meryem did this. Know that you are loved, Fatma tells Kerim. I know, he smiles.
Rahmi and Kadir head to the house. All the windows are broken. Kadir calls out to a couple of neighbors peeking from their windows if they saw anything. The ladies close their curtains. Kadir quickly heads off with Rahmi following.
Back to Bodrum. Fatma says this is her first time here. Fahr suggests that Kerim give her a tour, Bodrum is nice this time of year. Meryem says, don’t think about work. Fatma notes that they left Muka in charge of the restaurant. She complained a bit at first but not much. Still, we need to get back in a couple of days. Meryem and Fahr leave the kids alone.
Kerim tells Fatma he’s glad she came. She missed him. He missed her. She wants him to come back with her. His birthday is coming. [it’s April 14, I can’t forget it because that’s my daughter’s birthday, too!] Fatma says they couldn’t celebrate it properly last year. Kerim remembers. Fatma was upset because she saw him with Vural. Fatma says she didn’t know him well then. Nothing is as it seems from a distance, Kerim tells her. She nods, it took time to trust. It was so valuable to me that you turned yourself in just to gain my trust. That’s how it started. You gave me courage.
And now, Kerim asks, what if you saw me shaking hands with one of them? I’d ask you, she replies, and wait for you to explain. Because I know I would get an honest answer. I trust you, I believe you. Kerim takes her hand, we’ve come a long way.
Cut: Meryem explains to Fahr another reason she brought Fatma. So she wouldn’t find out what happened at the house. Fahr is outraged. He wants them to move. Meryem says they love the house. They won’t give it up because of a few ignorant people. Fahr wants to talk to Kerim about it. Meryem says this could happen anywhere they went. Kadir is going to talk to the neighbors.
Kadir and Rahmi go to the local tea house. He introduces himself to the owner and tells the patrons that his niece moved into the neighborhood, to Remzi Bey’s house, and that people broke in. There are a few knowing looks in the crowd. Kadir says they filed a complaint, whoever did this will have to pay. A man speaks up and says they don’t want any problems. Neither do we, Kadir replies. Another man says this is a humble neighborhood with good families, it’s no place for indecent people.
Kadir says he’s happy to hear it because they are a good family, too. You think you know us by what you read in the papers. Kadir speaks as the elder of the family: we have no problems with anyone and we don’t want anyone to have a problem with us. The couple in that house will be under government protection. Accept them. A man doesn’t like Kadir’s accusing tone. Kadir says he’s not accusing, he’s warning.
The owner speaks up, why are you bothering my clients? Kadir came because this is the oldest tea house in the neighborhood. You have a lot of customers and word will spread.
Cut: Fatma and Kerim are about to go sightseeing when Fahr gets a call letting him know the false report doctor is out and about somewhere. This is a good chance to talk to him. Fatma wants to go along to speak with the doctor herself. They try to talk her out of it, but she insists.
Snarky stuff between Resat, Ender and Meltem. Resat tells them he’s happy they caught Yasar.
Yasar gives a testimony that places all of the blame on Erdo for all that’s happened.
Cut: Ayce and Selim working on the yacht. Selim is a screw up and almost gets canned. He’s guilty about leaving Erdo.
Erdo will be in Malta for a while until the deportation procedures are complete.
Lale and Peri meet outside the house and take a walk. Lale thanks her for taking care of the alarm thing. Nothing else is discussed about that incident. Lale gets an urgent phone call about her husband's condition.
Fatma and co. find the doctor at his daughter’s dance recital. He sees them and tries to hurry away but he’s surrounded. His wife comes out. Fatma stays very calm and lays a big guilt trip on him. Didn’t your conscience bother you? Did the money make you forget you are a doctor? How could you forget you are a father too? The doc denies he received a bribe. People entrust their lives to you, she tells him, you made your life by sacrificing mine. Aren’t you ashamed to look in the mirror? How can you look your daughter in the eyes? Kerim gets worried about Fatma and tries to step in.
Fatma continues, I intend to recover. I keep fighting against the likes of you. If you have the slightest amount of humanity left in your heart, you will attend the trial in June and tell the truth. I can’t force you, but your conscience will weigh on you for the rest of your life.
Meryem leaves the doc with some parting words: that’s the girl you thought was poor and weak. She’s much better than you. Fahr adds, she (Fatma) left me with nothing else to say. I won’t follow you anymore. When they leave, the wife says, don’t go to the trial. Think about your profession and you will go to jail. Think of your family.
Muka is alone at Rose Kitchen and takes the opportunity to read another of Musto’s letter. He’s still waiting for a response, he wonders if she is even reading the letters. Are you punishing me? Cut: She tears up the letter and tosses it. Just when we think Muka can’t sink any lower…she writes to Mustafa!
A doctor tells Lale her husband is worse and there’s not much more they can do for him. Prepare for the worst. She is devastated. Peri has followed her. She asks Lale, who are you? Who is Seskin? Lale bring her into his room and says, this is Seskin, my husband, my beloved, my friend, my everything. He was condemned by Resat Yasaran, who stripped him of his belongings and life.
Lale drives Peri home. She trusts that Peri will keep this quiet, and Peri will. Peri tells her if there is anything I can do… You’ve done so much, Lale says, Resat in jail even for that short time helped me a lot. Resat spies them together from his window.
Fatma and Kerim take a moonlight walk along the beach. They sit on the sand. Fatma says, when you are away from someone, when you don’t see their eyes while talking…even the slightest change in the voice can be worrisome. That’s what happened to me. You sounded so distant on the phone. I was scared to see that distance in your eyes when I came here. But now I’m relieved. He calls her, “canım” my dear.
Fatma continues, but something happened to you, something you’re not telling me. Your face just changed again. Why don’t you tell me, Kerim? Kerim says it’s nothing. She says they were supposed to share everything. He replies, I am afraid of losing you. No reason to be afraid, she answers.
My father said the same, Kerim tells her. Last night for the first time, we had a father and son talk. You had told him, “we loved each other in the middle of impossible.” Isn’t that right, she asks? It is. I want to hear you say you love me every second. Always say that to me, Kerim says. Because this is a miracle. I love you very much, she tells him. Here comes the kiss….lots of kisses. He lays her down in the sand. She does not resist.
Then suddenly he flashes back to that awful night and backs off. You are everything to me, he tells her. He sits up. She’s wondering what just happened. It becomes a bit awkward. She says the sand is cold and gets up. He gives her a couple of quick kisses and tells her he loves her very much. She says, me too.
If you heard Fatma’s phone and wondered, that was Meryem calling. She tells Fatma that she’s going to bed now and left the key in the lobby so she can get in later if she’s asleep.
That’s when Kerim asks are you tired? She says no and he says we can have something to drink at the hotel. Cut: the kitchen is closed so no drinks.
Cut: a passenger is watching the news on the yacht and there’s a story about Yasar getting caught. Selim drops a glass. He panics and tells Ayce he has to get off the boat before someone recognizes him.
Kerim goes to get Fatma’s key from the lobby. She follows him to his door! She gives him a look—a smile. A signal that she might go in? Kerim looks very nervous, and fumbles with the keys. She waits. He walks past her to her door. She follows slowly. He opens the door for her. My goodness the look on her face… is she disappointed? When Kerim looks at her she quickly smiles. Good night he says and gives her a kiss.
Cut: Meryem is still awake when Fatma enters. She’s going to make tea. Kerim is in his room thinking about the missed opportunity.
Meryem puts a blanket around Fatma and notes there’s sand in her hair. [Lol wonder how that got there?] The wind…. Fatma tells Meryem, [Turkish] tonight, if Kerim said, ”don’t go, sleep with me”, I would have said alright. That’s how I felt at that moment. Meryem is so happy to hear it. And I didn’t feel bad for it, Fatma tells her, just a little embarrassed. Meryem says it’s nothing to be embarrassed about, it’s normal.
Normal, Fatma smiles, it’s feels weird for me to even say that word. Get used to it, Meryem replies, enjoy the moment. You’re getting better. I’m so happy, Fatma says, that’s how I feel. Everything will be better from now on. I believe that more than ever. Meryem is pleased for them. I don’t want Kerim to leave my side, Fatma tells her. No one can separate you anymore, Meryem replies.
Kerim is still thinking. He springs up from his chair and puts on his coat. He stops himself at the door and throws the key, takes off his jacket and throws it, too. [yep, you blew it buddy]
Two idiots from the tea house approach Fatma and Kerim’s house. They get ready to throw some rocks, but the lights come on and Kadir and Rahmi come outside. Kadir says are you here to break windows or write on the walls? One says we don’t want you in this neighborhood, get out of here. Tell it to the police, Kadir replies. He dials and says I want to file a report. One throws a rock that hits Kadir. Rahmi yells and pushes the men.
Next morning Fatma is fixing her hair and singing. Meryem is humming along, too. Muka calls Meryem. We were running around like crazy last night between the police station and the prosecutor. Meryem steps outside to finish the call.
Kerim comes out of his room to go see Fatma. Kerim opens the door and quietly walks in. He smiles as he listens to her sing. Are you singing for me, he asks? She laughs. He tucks a tiny flower into her hair. They go to breakfast.
Meryem and Fahr talk up on the terrace. She tells him what happened at the house. Kadir’s bad hand was hurt. Fahr gives an I told you so. Meryem says, when one problem ends, another begins. I need to go back immediately. Fahr wants to tell the kids. Kerim and Fatma come up the stair just as Meryem says no, Fatma can’t find out until we go back. How will we hide this, Fahr asks, all it will take is for her to talk to Muka. She will tell her in a second.
Kerim asks what are you talking about? What happened, Fatma asks? Meryem and Fahr hesitate to speak and that’s a bad sign.
Peri fills Hilmiye in on how Resat screwed Seskin Gozalmis and then he had a stroke. He’s been living in a vegetative state for 8 years. Now Lale wants revenge. Peri says how are we going to answer for all the lives we have destroyed all these years. Resat comes outside and asks, is it true what I just heard? Resat flashes back to his interactions with Lale and shouts for her in front of her house. He phones her but there’s no answer. Munir shows up and Resat tells him we are finished!
Fahr wants Fatma and Kerim to find another house. Kerim thinks it’s a good idea, too. Fatma says wherever they go they will have the same problem. She won’t hide. This is our house. I did nothing to be ashamed of, they should be ashamed. Kerim says if she won’t give up, neither will he. They all head back to Istanbul.
Selim worries about getting found out. Ayce tells him they will make it to the island tonight and then it will be adios to the yacht.
Munir and Resat go bonkers over Lale’s betrayal and go at each other. Punches are thrown. Munir gets a call and starts laughing hysterically Erdo’s been caught. Hilmiye cries. Peri asks, and Selim?
Everyone goes to look at the house. Kerim says he will buy a steel door. Fahr says to cover the windows with iron bars. Lots of talk about making the place more secure—alarms, cameras. Kadir says he filed the complaint they won’t be coming around anymore.
Fatma has been very quiet. Then she mentions putting wind chimes and lights among the flowers in the garden. Fruit trees that will grow large. Let’s finish our house as soon as possible. Kerim says he will finish it this week. Rahmi suggests they have the wedding at the house. Meryem doesn’t think it’s a good idea, but Fatma likes it.
Lale’s lawyer informs her that the revenge is complete. The Yasarans are ruined. Lale’s husband dies.
Muka asks Fatma if she had a pre-honeymoon in Bodrum. Fatma shoots her a look. Swear on my dead body, Muka says, tell the truth. [her dead body, sounds good] Fatma replies, what you think, didn’t happen. Do you swear, Muka prods. Nothing happened, Fatma asserts and adds, and what if it had? We are married and we are getting married again. Muka says, I see you are ready for the first night. Fatma looks away. Muka smirks, what happened? You look nervous. I get nervous when you talk like that, Fatma replies. You should thank me, Muka says.
Meryem tells Kadir she was angry when she found out he was in a fight. What could I do, he replies, they attacked. Could I say, I’m hurt? Meryem says he’s a man who looks for justice, the last person who would use violence. Kadir tell her this was the only way to stop them. Meryem gives up. Kadir says he’d been practicing his defense. They laugh.
Cut: Kerim playing with Elif. That was sooo, cute. He gave her a big sniff, too. Murat comes in and asks Kerim if he’s staying. He heard his mother say he left Fatmagul. Kerim says your mother must have heard wrong.
Kerim walks past the kitchen and overhears Muka tell Fatma she prevented another crisis. Mustafa sent another letter to Rose Kitchen. I hid it right away so no one would see it. Fatma says you should have thrown it in the garbage. Why would I tear a letter meant for you, Muka replies. Kerim walks into the kitchen. Fatma immediately tells him that Musto wrote another letter and Muka hid it. He heard.
Cut: Kerim reads the letter from Musto and rips it up. He is very upset. Fatma says she is not interested in anything Musto has to say. Kerim wants to talk to Omer to see if he can stop Musto from sending letters. As soon as Kerim and Fatma leave, Muka pieces the letter back together so she can look at it.
Kadir and Omer come home. Kadir has news and wanted to see Fatma’s face when she hears it. Omer says Erdo was arrested in Malta. Great news indeed!
A passenger is watching the news and there’s a story about Erdo and Selim. Their pics are shown. The woman with him recognizes Selim. They go to tell the captain. Ayce and Selim have already left the boat and we see them running through the streets until Selim can’t run anymore. Ayce says they have to make it over a hill and there will be boats we can take to Athens.
Musto gets Muka’s letter: Mustafa, I had to write this letter in secret because you are writing Fatmagul every day. She hasn’t read a single letter you sent. She tore them and threw them away. Please stop writing her now. Fatma is really happy with Kerim and her memories of you are long forgotten. She is preparing for her new life now. They will have a real wedding on May 5. Fatma will be Kerim’s wife.
He drops the letter and tears fall. The letter ends: if you really love her, you won’t bother her with letters. I know what I write will hurt you, but I have to say it so you will stop chasing empty dreams. Please don’t be persistent. Fatma has made her decision. She won’t wait for you, and you should forget her too. May God give you patience, Mukaddes.
There’s a birthday party at the new house. Mehmet takes pictures. Muka badgers Omer and his girlfriend about getting married. Fahr has given Kerim a watch as a gift. Muka jokes he could have given a summer house. Fatma thanks Fahr for all he has done for them. We don’t expect anything more.
Fatma wants a pic of her and Kerim. Then she calls Mehmet into the house. She takes the picture and tells him to shut the lights when she lights the candles.
Everyone starts dancing and Kerim goes inside to get Fatma. He says forget about the cake, let’s dance. Kerim tells her he can’t wait for his present and Fatma replies he has to be patient, he will get it after the cake. Kerim gives Fatma a little kiss and they both see the neighbor girl looking out her window. Fatma motions for her to come over, but she closes her curtain. Fatma sends Kerim out of the kitchen.
Fatma brings the cake out. Iyi ki doğdun, Kerim! Rahmi says make a wish. Kerim had only one wish and it already came true. Now he wishes to spend his whole life with Fatma. This is one of the happiest days of my life, he tells everyone. Fatma is at my side and so is my family… and my father. I feel like we are a big happy family.
Fatma presents her gift. Our family photo album, she says, and we will have more over the years. There’s a pic of Fatma, captioned, “seni seviyorum”. And there’s the pic that Mehmet took of both of them. Let’s collect the good memories like tonight, Fatma tells him, let’s grow old together. They dance. This was the end of Turkish ep 71
Song: Tutuklu/Prisoner - Sezen Aksu
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yav4oZ8AhY
Hercai viewers are familiar with this song.
Kerim is working on the house with Emre and his father calls. Fahr has found a workshop for Kerim and wants him to come see it right away. Don’t let the opportunity pass. Kerim says he has to finish his work at the house. Fahr will send photos. Kerim tells Emre he’s not used to people doing things for him, it makes him feel uncomfortable. Emre says but this is your father, he’s going to do it and it makes him happy.
Muka shows up at Rose Kitchen with her hair and makeup done. She asks Rahmi if the mail came. Not yet. She goes through letters on the table from yesterday.
Fatma says they decided to have the wedding at Kadir’s because their garden will be too small. Fahr sends pics of the workshop.
Meryem speaks with Kadir. He’s waiting with Omer outside the prosecutor’s office for Erdo to arrive. Erdo arrives and the press swarm. Hilmiye and Peri are there, too. Hilmiye calls out to her son as they hustle him into the building. Mom, I’m innocent, he shouts. Hilmiye faints.
Hilmiye begs to see Erdo even for a minute. He’s giving his testimony now then it will be up to the prosecutor. Erdo will be going to court right from the prosecutor.
Erdo says he won’t speak to the prosecutor without his lawyer, Munir Telci. Munir arrives with another lawyer. The press ask questions but Munir says nothing. Hilmiye warns Munir not to throw Erdo under the bus or she will tell all. Munir says he doesn’t care.
Erdo asks to speak with Munir in private. Munir tells him there is more than one accusation now against him. He tries to get Erdo to take all the blame. Munir says if he accepts the charges, his sentence could be reduced. Erdo says no way. What about Selim? Munir says Yasar already put all the blame on Erdo. Erdo tells Munir he will squeal on him. I’ll tell everything. Munir says it’s impossible to escape the Turaner case. Everyone is going to tell the same story against you.
Munir tells Erdo, if you want to get out of here before your beard turns gray, you will listen to me. You will get a reduced sentence. Confess and own the crime. Erdo asks if this was a family decision or is Resat trying to save his stupid son by sacrificing him.
Munir tells Erdo about Lale ripping them off. But he has money, and he will give it to Erdo if he confesses. You will have money to start a new life when you get out. The condition is not to mention my name, Munir says. Erdo calls him a disgusting dog. Munir laughs and says it’s all up to Erdo. Erdo says he won’t fall in the trap. He’s going to tell everything. But he won’t say a word until Selim gets caught. I’m going to deny all the charges.
And we are out.
Nett, thanks VERY much for this excellent recap! You cover everything clearly and concisely, and you make a number of very good points. I agree with your calling B.S. on Miran's accusing Hazar of abandonment. As you point out, Hazar had no idea that Miran was his son. And I loved your "no cause for concern" because Viewerville is well aware of what Reyyan's dizzy spell and fainting mean. Indeed, the minute she felt dizzy, I knew she was pregnant. Her fainting was just icing on the diagnostic cake. (The weird thing is that I never experienced either of those symptoms when I was pregnant, nor can I think of anyone I know who did. However, just about every woman in a telenovela who becomes pregnant has one or both of these symptoms, even the tough-as-nails Teresa Mendoza in La Reina del Sur.)
I really liked Azat in this episode. He was sane, sensitive, thoughtful, and not jealous of Miran. It's a shame he couldn't fall in love with Elif. I think she was more deserving of him than Gonul is. But, as the saying goes, the heart has its reasons which reason cannot know.
In answer to your question, yes, I definitely think it was an error for Firat to tell Gonul that Reyyan is pregnant in front of Azize, Fusun, and Sultana. I can imagine every one of them wanting to hurt Reyyan, especially now. Azize made her feelings clear as soon as she heard Firat's statement. Sigh. I was really surprised and disappointed that Firat didn't have more sense. One would think that living in the Aslanbey cuckoo's nest all his life would have given him a lot more awareness of evil and wariness of Azize and, now, Fusun as well.
Finally, we get more info about all the surgeries Azize has had. The three surgeries on her face would explain why Nasuh doesn't recognize her as Ayse. But when Nasuh sees the old photo of Hanife, he does seem to recognize her, perhaps even recognize her as Ayse's sister. The next few episodes should be interesting.
Thank you Dondi! Your recap is fantastic as always! You manage to capture not only all the happenings but also the spirit of the happenings so effortlessly in every sentence. Your hard work is so appreciated!
The Yeserans are circling the drain and loosing their marbles! Gotta love it Munir laughing like a lunatic was hilarious.
Rhami is my hero! The way he took a flying leap at that guy was awesome!! Too bad Kadir got hurt! I do not understand one tiny little bit why all the neighbors think Fatma is indecent. What makes her so? Having been raped? She is a married woman with a small business and a homebody. There is no nothing scandalous about her quiet peaceful life. Maybe they believe the gossip about her lying to extort money from the Yeserans?
Fatma and Kerim reunited and she's getting ready for intimacy. At least mentally and emotionally, which is good considering the wedding is coming up quickly! It's nice to see them reunited but Kerim should have told her the truth about the letters!
Muka is insufferable as usual but once again zeros in on the change in Fatma 'you are ready for the first night' lol. I agree with your dead body comment.
She also told Mustafa the truth 'If you love her you will stop...' but he doesn't love her he loves himself only. UHG!!! Couldn't they have killed him off when he was dying on the side of the road??
Great recap Nett! I really admire the ability to capture what’s happening and then some! Especially on these longer versions!
As we all know, Aslan’s gunshot and subsequent car blow up is solely his own fault, but of course The Hocus Pocus crew ( Azize, Sultana and Fusun) will blame Reymir. Azize knew he was psycho, and warned Sultana, but it was obvious that NOBODY including Sultana had any clout in reasoning with his demented mind. I guess we’ll now have to deal with a war of words and wills between Azize and Fusun. Fusun is evil too—— just the other side of the same coin as Azize. Overall, my money will be on Azize unless she gets sweet and sappy when she finds out that Hazar is really her son. Knowing Azize though, she’ll get more fierce in protecting him and Miran.
So on top of being burned, Azize was abused. Those Aslanbey men SUCK to infinity, and it looks like the sons were no better than the father. If Firat is an Aslanbey, he gets a pass cause he didn’t know about it all his life. He never had to live with the entitlement of assholes. I wonder if that’s why Azize put Firat in charge of the Aslanbey funds? Cause, of course, we know that Azize knows EVERYTHING! As for Firat this episode, WTF Firat! Telling that Reyyan is pregnant to Gonul, who is not a friend of Reyyan’s at all, in front of the 3 witches was not your place! That was not your news to tell and you blew it BIGTIME! I’m also sorry that I can’t muster even an ounce of sympathy for Sultana! I detest the woman and hope they send her off to the land of make believe if Aslan dies.
Miran needs to get a grip. He needs to come all the way out of his denial and act like a grown MAN! And ITA about Reyyan’s pregnancy symptoms, lol. I know more people who’ve fainted from low blood sugar than from pregnancy! I even met quite a few who went their whole pregnancy not knowing they were even pregnant! Denial—— maybe, lol.
I’ll end my post with my love for Azat. What a stand up, well rounded, patient, compassionate, “thinking” MAN! Yes, I too, wish that he could’ve fallen in love with Elif, but him and Gonul are destined to heal each other’s wounds and broken wings. Both need to fly the coup from the family madness they come from. Hopefully they will. At least Gonul apologized to Reyyan even if it’s because she doesn’t want her brother to die. The first step is always the most difficult, but I hope the “real” Gonul shows up. We haven’t met her yet, lol….
Thanks again Nett! Awesome!
Thank you, Nett, I enjoyed your great recap more than the ep itself.
An irritating episode. Miran’s wildly cycling emotions, Gonul’s hysterical apologies that went on a bit too much, 21st Century people living in a cabin with no running water. I could add Firat spilling the beans, but this news wouldn’t be a secret for long anyway, so maybe that’s why he did it. Probably better that Gonul heard it from him.
I’ve liked Azat from the beginning and I want him to have the HEA he deserves. ITA, Juanita, I would have liked him better with Elif.
ITA, carmella, about Sultana. “…send her off to the land of make believe…”. Lol But she has also provided some comic relief along the way.
Harun is an Aslanbey! Fusun hid him with another family? I don’t get these people. I wonder who his father is.
So they brought in Fusun to make Azize look better in comparison. Oh dear, they are going to redeem the HAG once she finds out Hazar is her son. Yes, I am convinced that Hazar is her son.
Glad we got the explanation on Ayse’s transformation. Wow, her husband beat her so badly that she needed plastic surgery. She put up with this for the sake of revenge? I wonder if her husband met a suspicious end?
Nasuh is putting the pieces together, can’t happen soon enough.
BTW “Love Shack!” Lol! It certainly is a Shack! 😂😂😂 A SHABBY one at that! You can see all the cracks in those wooden walls! No wonder Miran has to chop so much firewood!
Also, no real surprise about the Fusun/ Harun relationship……just that he started working for Aslan….. would love to see a backstory on Aslan and Harun….even how Aslan met Reyyan’s father…..
Dear Dondi, I just started reading your excellent (as always) recap , but I got a big surprise and had to pause for a minute. My older daughter's birthday is also April 14 !!!! What a coincidence ! Now back to your great recap.
I forgot to say how awesome Fatmagul was standing up for herself to the doctor! 'People entrust their lives to you, she tells him, you made your life by sacrificing mine.' EXACTLY! what a horrible man and she got to him too then his stupid wife begs him not to tell the truth! What a heartless horrible person. I will never understand how anyone can be okay with treading on the weak and helpless without so much as a second thought or twinge of regret!
Yes, what a nice coincidence, Susanlynn! Now I won’t forget your daughter’s birthday either! And Engin was born the same year as my daughter, so he could be my son!
BTW, Engin recently tested positive for covid. He had a mild case and was in quarantine for a short while. He’s fine now and back to work filming his new series for Disney +.
I'll be back later to comment and post the Wednesday recap.
I missed a few episodes and am catching back up. Can someone remind me why Gonul felt the need to make such an emotional apology to Reyyan? And then an apology to Azat? It seems like everyone in this novella has done something to hurt someone else, but I don't recall Gonul being one of the major offenders ... thanks
Thank you, dondi356.
Glad Meryem took Fatmagul to Bodrum and Kerim and Fatmagul reconnected. The talk with Fahr really helped. I think Fatmagul's realization that she is ready to make the next step is big progress. But it looks like Kerim may not be ready.
Agree, Fatmagul facing the dirty doc was awesome. Like Fahr said, there was nothing else left to say.
Song: Tutuklu/Prisoner. This song was playing when Fatmagul and Kerim danced on her birthday almost a year ago. Perfect for slow dance. Then she kept eye contact just for a few seconds. Now they could not take their eyes off each other.
Everything falls apart for the Yasarans. Being on the run is part of their punishment. Facing humiliation, cold, hunger is like an additional sentence which is added to the prison sentence coming up.
Nett, thank you for an excellent recap as we tumble along.
Of course, Rey is pregnant . After all those weeks ? Months? of chaste cuddling, they do the deed and Preston bingo , she's pregnant . I have been pregnant 4 times and only felt dizzy once and that was during the first . However, telenovela pregnancies always include throwing up or getting dizzy. Dizzy in a dizi.....sorry, I couldn't resist .
So Aslan is shot and then a truck hits his car ...The car explodes into flames ...but he is still alive. Okay. What make car was he driving ?
Fusan's fashion choices are interesting ...that fur coat with the shoulder pads . Ouch. I prefer Azz's uniforms in the various jeweltone colors that are kind of a symbol of her evilness. It's interesting finally seeing Azz afraid of someone . Where has Fusan been hiding out all these years ?
Azat is galan material . A good guy . Too bad that he seems destined for hot mess Gonul . Perhaps he will be the calming influence she needs to be normal . Perhaps .
Onward we go.
Nett, I LOVED your recap. You really captured all the crazy goings on. Thanks so much!
Well, I meant to say: "Show of hands; who's sorry Aslan's burned up?" But I'm getting a vibe from Viewerville, female Viewerville, that his good looks are giving him more of a pass than I am. I kept hoping Reyyan would elbow him in the avocados and get free. I was thrilled Mahfuz shot him and was hoping that was the end of him. Please, please, writers, don't give us a Phantom of the Opera Aslan going after Reyyan again!
I get a chill when I see Azize's face sometimes, that avid look she gets when she smells a puzzle piece in a possible vengeance. In this case it was finding out about Harun. I hope we get to see Harun telling Yaren about the divorce tonight. I'm sure she'll be furious. She wants to be the one who divorced HIM!
Yep, the Turks do the same as the Latinos, fainting spell followed by happy news. I got a kick out of Reyyan reminding Miran that the fetus was the size of a lentil.
Azize's only idea of love is vengeance. She swears by the crispy critter in the bed that she'll avenge what "they" did to him. The Sadoglus had nothing to do with it.
Whew! I fell for it this time. When Hazar's head slumped to one side, I thought he was a goner. That "take care of your sisters" had me buying the whole thing. I'm usually too much of a veteran to believe in TN death scenes, unless it's the villain in the next to last episode.
I can't get over how kind and reasonable Nasuh is these days. Unfortunately, Cihan looks like trouble on the way.
And speaking of Azat, did Handan have an affair? They need a DNA test. How can he turn out so very well considering his parentage and his disgusting sister?
So...they've finally explained why Nasuh doesn't recognize Azize. That had me convinced that Ayse had really died in the fire.
Hugo, while I'm typing someone else usually has posted. So maybe you have your answer. Gonul apologized to Reyyan for the multiple times she was hateful to her because of her jealousy. She even tried to smother her with a pillow once. And IIRC she shot Azat. He kidnapped her trying to get Miran to return Reyyan to her home, but she got the best of him.
Thank you Nett for the awesome recap. Looks like I am bit late to the hilarious commenting party! novelera, "Crispy Critter" and we do need a DNA test to prove Azat is Handan son! You are on a roll today!
Dizzy in a dizi, haha, Susanlynn.
I am happy ReyMir are going to have a baby. I have wondered if they kept the cabin warm with their love-making. I find it hard to believe it was just that once as some time has passed and they have been alone several times in the Love Shack since then. Miran is not one to stop once he gets started.
Hazar sure made a quick recovery after being shot near the heart. I thought he might die too novelera.
Firat telling those brujas that ReyMir were going to have a baby was stupid. How did he find out anyway? Did the good doctor just spill the beans on the drive back?
So Harun is Fusun's son. I think Harun actually loves Yaren and is not going to give her up that easily.
Wow, Azize needed so much plastic surgery after all the physical abuse that she is a new person. That explains why Nasuh has not recognized her until now. I think he is putting is all together quickly.
Thanks again Nett!
Dear Dondi, I always look forward to your detailed recaps and your inserted comments .
It was so smart for Meryem to take Fatmagul to Kerim to find out what was really going on with him. He didn't tell them about finding Mustafas letters under the bed . If he had, they may have figured out that Muk set him up and that Fatma had never received tbem. ( I have never seen a bed that lifted up to reveal storage...clever). However, Farhr did a good job of convincing Kerim that Fatmagul loved him . Fatmagul and Kerim are lucky to have these two loving, kind, wise people to keep them on course , especially with Muk constantly trying to manipulate them like a puppet master . What a witch .
The beach scene was interesting . Fatmagul seemed ready to get closer , but that flashback rocked Kerim's confidence . She may have forgiven him, but he cannot forgive himself . The last thing he wants to do is scare or harm Fatmagul. Later, in his room, Kerim realizes that Fatmagul may have been ready to sleep with him . Frustrating .
The birthday party was so lovely. That album was a symbol of their future life together. As someone with many, many photo albums , I know what treasures these are.
Nett: Great job ..recap was on time!!
Gonul performed 'Restorative Justice'... to avoid the application of RETRIBUTION JUSTICE...!!
AFTERMATH:SHE approached Reyyan in the tradition of 'QISAS'
Qiṣāṣ (Arabic: قصاص) is an Islamic term meaning "retaliation in kind", "eye for an eye", "nemesis" or retributive justice.
UNLIKE AZIZE WHO HAS TAKEN THIS MANTRA TO HEART[ We ordained therein for them: "Life for life, eye for eye, nose for nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal. ]!!
GONUL AND REYYAN had to consider this tradition:
The Qur'an allows the aggrieved party to receive monetary compensation (blood money, diyya, دية) instead of Qisas,[7]
REYYAN:...... or forfeit the right of Qiṣāṣ as an act of charity or in atonement for the victim[?] family's past sins.....[Perpetrator--
GONUL'S PART IN THE FAKE MARRIAGE]
We ordained therein for them: "Life for life, eye for eye, nose for nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal."
.....REYYAN......'But if any one remits the retaliation by way of charity, it is an act of atonement for himself...
.....'And if any fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (No better than) wrong-doers.............[AZIZE ..THAT YOU GIRL all day long..?!!]— Quran Ayat?/ 5:45
Hadith/The Hadiths have extensive discussion of Qisas. For example, Sahih Bukhari states,
Allah's Apostle said, "The blood of a Muslim who confesses that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that I am His Apostle, cannot be shed except in three cases:
.....In Qisas for No#2. ******ASLAN:.. a married person who commits illegal sexual intercourse ...["ASLAN To take another man's wife to make your wife!!..that sure qualifies. All day long!!]
— Sahih al-Bukhari, 9:83:17
Azat was correct and Gonul knew that it was either the police or the Sadoguls, this had to be addressed because Turkey secular court may not apply edict of -Eye-for-Eye....the court of public opinion would not be able to ignore Sharia [Common law] in this case...and the townsfolks of Midyat would not either...!!!
ASLAN ...NO-NO-NO-WHY DUDE... ??
Very interesting Halimacandy! But in Azize’s case, at least I think so, she’s retaliating for something that is not so. What she believes is not the truth, so how will she be able to make retribution for all the lives she’s destroyed? ITA with dondi356 that Fusun was created to make Azize look less wicked and be redeemed. It’s hard for me to believe that she really can be redeemed, but God/Allah is forgiving……….
Jeesh, and I didn’t think of Aslan committing “illegal intercourse,” just the crime of kidnapping. So if he lives will he be arrested for that?
