Mi Fortuna Es Amarte #10, 3/8/22: Possession Is 9/10 Of The Law--Or Is It?

Chente packs up Natala and family's belongings and sets their three suitcases out on the street.

Constanza has returned to her mega manse and all hell has broken loose "--What is that little so-and-so doing in my house??"  Gustavo says "--I dunno.  It was Claudio who brought her here."  Claudio answers her: "I'm staying mum till you call a doctor for her."  Connie the Cruelheart screams again at him to answer.  Claudio is shaking in his boots and explains Valentina was in his trunk when he drove away and was screaming; when he parked the car he found her.  "--Ahuh!  This gal still works in the repair shop, doesn't she, Gustavo???!!!"

Andrea and Regina return to Chente's and find the gates locked.  Andi reminds him that the house belongs to their mother.  "--No, you're quite mistaken.  The house is mine and you're not coming in again!"  "--Just wait till my mother comes back!  You're going to get it and how!!"  Chente replies we'll see about that!  Juanga, the fug-ugly whistles smugly.

Connie complains to Tavo that he disobeyed to her and lied.  Claudio mentions from the peanut gallery that it would be a mistake to get rid of Tina because she's a great mechanic.  (Yeah, but Connie seems to enjoy cutting off her filthy rich nose to spite her scowling homely face.)  He denies she works for him and says she must have been there because she hadn't a peso to pay for a place to sleep.  Claudio remarks "--and we abide in a place like this!"  Just then Tina recovers and wonders where she is.  "--Get her out of here this instant and away from my husband's garage!!" Teresa refuses until the girl has a bite to eat.  Connie spits back that she gives the orders around there which Mama should have understood rather clearly by now.  She turns to Tina and hisses " --You're recovered now get the hell out of here!  Finally, Tavo takes command.  "--Enough, Constanza!!!" Viewerville sits up and takes note.

Natalia, meanwhile, is with Fernanda who remains wary about her friend's moving into a house with a complete stranger.  Nata says, naw, Chente's good people.

Connie orders Tavo to lower his voice.  He says he'll raise it anytime he gets the urge to.  He's had enough of her insults and rude behavior.  He's leaving. "--Oh, you're going back to the mediocre life I saved you from!"   "--Well, at least in that 'mediocre life' I was happy." He and Tina leave for the repair shop.  Claudio remarks to her that he's emancipated himself.

Chole and Olga walk by Chente's place and notice Nata's two girls sitting on their suitcases waiting for Mama and an explanation.  It looks bad after Chente ran La Vulga off the other night.  Chole introduces herself and asks if she can help.  Regina says it's a long story.  Vulga says they've got time, spit it out!  Regi does, from the hideous beginning.

Gustavo runs into Chole and starts to explain the night before and why he had to stand her up.  Chole chides him for being such a milquetoast around his wife.  Why is his sister-in-law forced to move in with Chente when she has family and why isn't that family lending her and her two girls a hand???  And did he know that now Chente's thrown her and the girls out of the street also?  They rush back to Chente's where Andi gives him the rundown.  Chole determines to put an end to this foolishness.  She, however, finds she's locked out as well.  Chente comes to the window and splits hairs about what really happened.  The woman wants to cheat him out of his house.  So how could he behave so barbaric?  This certainly wasn't the way his grandma raised him!   Tavo tells the girls he's taking them to their aunt's to live.

They leave and a few minutes later Nata shows up at the gate.  Chente pulls the same stunt on her. She lied to him and he's not about to let her steal his house from him.  She reminds him that it's hers, legally.  "--Talk to my lawyer!"  Nata looks around, sees a pile of rocks from some construction.  She yells through the bars and asks him again to let her in.  When he refuses she reminds him she's asked him nicely.  He sees the rocks in her hand and asks what she thinks she's doing.  "--I'm going to redecorate my [part of the] house."  Windows start breaking.

Tavo and the girls arrive at the mega manse.  They tell Tere how the morning went and their current circumstances.  "--None of this would have happened if Constanza wasn't so selfish!"  They can't even warn Nata because she lost her cell phone.  Just then Connie walks in on the scene and asks what's going on.  Tavo tells her the girls are staying with them from now on.

Back in the barrio, windows keep breaking.  Chente suggests Nata not take her anger out on him.  Get therapy instead.  She says throwing rocks is quite therapeutic.

At the mega manse, Connie reminds Tere that nobody else gets to live there.  Her sister chose to give her fortune to a thief and that's neither her responsibility nor her problem now.  Tavo says he's setting up their room for them.  Connie says stop right there.  You don't give orders around here, especially after the snub from earlier.  Claudio and Tere ask her to reconsider and give them some time for things to work out.  "--Yes, that's reasonable.  Ok.  I'm giving you...ten minutes to get your things together and leave my house!"

Nata screams at Chente that she's amazed and shocked that he should throw her and her daughters out into the street --out of her own house!!  People are beginning to gather.  Chente asks Chole to make the woman see reason.  She instead tells Nata not to forget the upstairs windows.  Smash!

Tere tells Con that if the girls must go then she and Claudio are leaving also.  "--Go right ahead."  Tavo says if his two nieces aren't allowed to stay then he's leaving also.  And yes, Tina works for him and will continue to.  Connie tells him he hasn't got the nerve.  "--If your leave, then don't come back."  "--Okay, then, Constanza.  Hasta nunca." [Good riddance.  Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya....]"

Chente's called the police, he tells Nata.  She says fine and calls the firemen too, because I've barely begun.  Chole refuses again to help out.  He asks Vulga who says not on your life after the way you ran me off the other night.  "--You're lucky she hasn't done something to your truck."  Nata turns to the truck and threatens.  Hey, that's vandalism!  Oh, so what do you call throwing to kids out onto the street???  Chente races outside the gate.  "--Let's talk."

Tavo takes the family with him.  "--There's no coming back."  "--That's the last thing I plan on doing.  We're going for Nata and then we're going to a hotel."

The family leaves and Connie calls Sammi and makes a date to meet her there at the club.

Back in the barrio, Nata throws the rock at Chente's truck.  He catches it and she makes a run inside the house and locks him out now. Outside in the street Chole sets Chente straight about Constanza's tricks.  Nata's two daughters told her the straight skinny on how they ended up at Chente's.  Vulga tries a little mischief.  Chente stands up for Nata then and admires her strength of character, standing up for her two girls the way she has.   She begins throwing shoes and underwear just as the police show up.

Omar is working out at the club's gym.  He cannot stop thinking about Andi's proposal.  The personal coach at the gym tells him to think about exchanging schoolgirls for women.  They're less of a burden and know how to enjoy life. (It's also a bit depraved or immature on Omi's part, anyway, in Viewerville's way of thinking.)

Meanwhile, Tania finally gets to visit Mario.  (Yeah, anybody remember him?)  She explains nobody will allow him visitors and she had to get special permission.  He asks Tania to sell all of his stuff and use that cash to make a good effort at repaying the debt.  It should prove to the judge he's not a criminal and give him a get out of jail free card.

At Chente's, Nata shows the cop her signed documents.  Doesn't matter.  Both Chente and she get taken to the pokey.

At the same time, Sammi and Connie get drunk at the club. They take notice of a hunk who walks by.  Eventually, Sammi asks Omi to drop off Constanza on the way home since she's too plastered to drive.  She refuses the offer and stays for a couple of drinks more.  Mr. Gigolo, aka William, takes note and moves in on his wealthy mark.  "--I hear you're in need of a driver."  Connie asks if he's trying to seduce her. (OMG, just the thought of anybody thinking that woman is attractive or even approachable turns my stomach.)  He just smiles.  She decides it's not such a bad idea (Let's live a bit on the wild side and see what happens).  She hands him her keys.

Nata and Chente are put into the same holding cell for 24 hrs.  He offers her the cot and tells her it's going to be a long night.

Jardinera654, thank you for this fun recap of a fun episode!!! Constanza certainly is something, isn't she?? And I am too polite to say what!

And, here is a fun fact for you all- the actor playing the part of hunky William (Marcos Montero) is the real-life husband of Susana Gonzalez!

Thanks again, Jardinera654! :-)

Jardinera, I so enjoyed your excellent recap. It made me smile this morning just as the episode did last night. Thank you!

What to say? This was such a satisfying episode and so early on!

I laughed out loud when Chente caught the rock like a superhero before it hit his truck. (oh, no! Another ubiquitous red truck! Even in Mexico!). That whole rock throwing scene, with even Chelo and Olga egging Natalia on, was almost cartoonish but so much fun. I hope we have a couple more jail cell scenes tonight.

Then, there was Claudio declaring Tavo as “liberated” after he finally told Connie that the party was over. Wonderful!

Hmmm, are Teresa and Claudio moving into Chente’s, too?

Anon, thanks for the info on “William” the gigolo.

Can’t wait until tonight.

Well, lots of broad comedy, JARDINERA, after those first few weeks of one horror after another. Enjoyed "mega manse" and this:

"(Yeah, but Connie seems to enjoy cutting off her filthy rich nose to spite her scowling homely face.)"

You DO have a way with words, m'dear...And totally enjoyed Tavo FINALLY rearing up and saying "Enough! I'm outta here." SO SATISFYING TO WATCH AFTER HIS GROVELING YESTERDAY.

Don't care about Constanza but if a little lovin' will sweeten her up, I'm all for a fling with the cynical William character. I did smile when her club buddy pointed him out, and Connie said she preferred intellectuals to muscular men. Guess the alcohol changed all that.

Chole is my favorite character, aside from Benjy, of course, because she is consistently kind and always sees the best in people. Of course this makes her the pawn of evil Olga, and no doubt she'll suffer many setbacks before "happily ever after" with Tavo, but I prefer that kind of wholesome innocence to the cruel cynicism of the other characters.

"Juanga the fug-ugly" who chews with his mouth open and hits on any available female, has a certain charm. Is it the awful hair color? The wretched manners? The lousy work ethic? Who knows, but he has a certain bad boy cachet. A lot more interesting than that bland rich boy that Andrea is trying to marry.

Well, anyway, fun episode for those who enjoy Mexican style broad humor, and always a fun recap from Sassy Jardinera. Mil gracias amiga.

Jardinera, thank you for the excellent recap and the info about William. My hope is that William will take Constance for all she’s worth, or at least give Tavo grounds for divorce and he can keep the garage. She can’t leave him broke in a divorce. The one with money will have to pay the other. I think!
Either way it was great to see Tavo finally stand up to her.
The rock throwing was not fun for me. I kept thinking she can’t afford to replace those windows! I guess she could only hold it together for so long! Being locked out of the house was the straw that broke the camel’s back for her. She realized what harm she had done to Benja when she saw him.

I hope Natalia and Cheney make up overnight. And I really hope the parents don’t also move in. Claudio would never adjust! But they feel it’s Natalia’s house, so we’ll see.

Can Mario trust Tania to do what he asks? She seems to care for him, but didn’t she also know Veronica was going to run off with Adrian? She certainly didn’t warn him.

Looking forward to tonight!

Judy B: "Connie said she preferred intellectuals to muscular men. Guess the alcohol changed all that." ITA and forgot to insert Sami's answer to that --but it was funny: " Gustavo is neither." Hear. Hear.... Connie literally needs to let her hair down a bit. Isn't it a shame that only a paid escort is available or willing. Blech.

Jarifa: The street scene and the rock-throwing was really some comic relief. I really felt it was "therapy" for all of us in Viewerville.

Anonymous: Thanks for that fun fact about SG's real-life hubby. Marcos Montero has been around and appeared in a lot of things, but not in any I've watched.

As for C Andere, she's totally changed in the past couple of years. In this production she looks skeletal. She was always a kind of attractive lady and a decent actress. She's a marvelous singer as well. However, seeing her now she looks unhealthy, as if she's got some disease eating her from the inside out. Very disturbing....

Liz: you make a great point about Tania being quite untrustworthy. It remains to be seen what she does with the cash she gets by selling off his properties.

Fortuna

Jardinera, thank you for all the fun of your snappy, snarky, sparky account of last night's episode.

I am way too pragmatic to ever think that throwing rocks at the Windows of a house I own is a good idea. I know that ultimately if I get back into that house, I will be the one who has to clean up the glass and pay to have the Windows replaced.I also thought that Nat should have made sure that Ben wasn't in the house before she started her rock launching. ...but I have to remember this is a tn, and I must suspend my disbelief . I know, I know, I am a buzzkill. Where's my beanie? Maybe I donated It to Goodwill in that last box I hauled tbere.

It seems that Connie has evicted all the folks from her mansion , so are Teresa and n'er do well Claudio going to be living in the house with Chente, too ? Tight quarters . Also, I doubt that Chente has a supp!y of booze .

William .....where is that going? Will he be allowed to stay in The mansion ?

Susanlynn: Definitely you need to get a new beanie to get through this one. As for fixing those windows...I figure Chente's the one with a steady income. He caused the upset by not confirming with his buddy, Tavo, first. He can pay for the window repair as a show of good faith, or not.....but none of them is coming up with the cash, except for possibly Tavo whose wife's lie is the reason for this. Anyway, Nata's family is cleaning up the mess, for the most part. Cannot remember if the two loser brothers were or not in the mix. Interesting question if there'll be 3 more people moving in. Maybe they can put a small circus tent in the back somewhere? Bag the booze and bury it!

Jardinera, I smiled through your recap.

Always fresh, breezy and fun. Your wit is outstanding - excellent title!

Loved Natalia target practicing on the windows. That's what Chente gets for believing Connie and not even giving Nata the benefit of the doubt! He's lucky the hot red hot rod was spared.

Where was Benja in all this? He could have simply quietly taken Nat by the hand and led her back inside the house and all would have been well.

Tavo is starting to seek fresh air and be free from his acrid surroundings. But he still needs a few extra doses of courage.

I love Chloe, despite the hot pink crocs :)

Can't wait to find out where everyone is going to hunker down for the night.

Anon, thank you for the info on William! I wish you would give yourself a nickname, your comments have been generous and most welcome.

I enjoyed everyone's comments, thank you.

Jardinera, it was so nice having an episode of anything without angst or agony. Thank you for recapping it so wonderfully.

Diana

Gracias, ,Jardinera.

I could not believe Natalia would do that; it was embarrassing to watch her break those windows. This will not help her case!

Where was Gustavo when Constanza refused to allow Natalia and her daughters to move in? I thought he would be able to save the day. Either way, he will be happier without her.

Did Chantal Andere starve herself before this series started shooting? She looks older than she is (compared to SG who looks like a young Vivien Leigh) and I have visions of her in a pointy black hat.

I do not trust Tania at all. I think she would sell everything that belongs to Mario and pocket the money... or get the next international flight out of there.

Hi everyone, I am really enjoying all of your comments and hope to humbly take my place in this patio as you all seem like a great bunch of people.

I just wanted to comment on Chantal Andere (Constanza) who, indeed, does seem to be be a great deal thinner and older than what we are accustomed to...

But I wanted to post this solely to note that this actress has been performing for Televisa exclusively for over 30 years now. She has avoided the axe that has befallen several, some-would-say "greater" names than hers and, in whatever production she is in, she brings her all and her best.

What's more, as a person, I am in awe of her às a daughter and at how she treats her mother- a TRUE legend of Mexican television- Jacqueline Andere- (still going strong
at 83 years of age, and if there isn't a daughter who is a better champion for her mother on Social Media than Chantal Andere is than I defy you all to tell me who it is, because the mother-daughter bond of these two telenovela legends is really something heartwarming! :-)

WHOOPS!!! That should say "IS".... in that "if there IS a daughter who is "

The curse of trying to be smart and clever and try and use a double-negative....

(THIS is why I lurk, I guess!! lol)

Jardinera, thank you for another fun recap and, especially, for "Connie the Cruelheart"   :-)

More later I hope, but I have yet to finish watching the episode.

Andy

Thanks for the recap...
I enjoyed the manse part with Connie good heart kickin' everyone out. Yeah the actress always brings it. She reminds me of a statue in a horror movie that the plaster cracks and some monster pops out.

Yeah the rock throwing thing was a time filler.

Also not to be annoying..but hey we've be seen the barrio..how would that truck ever be parked on the street?

Fev

Andy, I just read your comment on yesterday's recap. I am glad you liked the "vicious Veronica." It seems that after watching Desalmada , we are now seeing a different type of evil from Big Bad 's killing sprees. These folks are just nasty , selfish, and heartless. Julia and Isabel would fit right in.

P.s. I miss making fun of Big Bad .

I enjoyed reading your blog post.
Your blog has good information, I got a good idea from this great blog.
I am always looking for something like this type of blog post. I hope to see you again…
