PARTE 1~~

⦁ Vicente has entered Olga's hideout (looking very similar to Simba's dirty digs, we might add.   He sees Benji wearing a suicide bomber's jacket and La Vulga holding the button.  "--Don't force things or I will squeeze this and we all fly away in pieces!"  She whines that she was forced to this extreme just to get him to pay some attention to her.  Why couldn't it have been different for the two of them?  If he'd just loved her....."--We can still talk."  "--Tell the police not to enter!"  She continues to whine and whimper.  "--Everything I've done has been because I love you, Chente."  Since they're all going to die anyway, she is ready to confess all she's done for Luhhhhhvvv, she continues.

 Hi all, this is my last recap for this novela and what a ride it has been. i want to thank you all for your patience with me these last few months- my fellow recappers have been THE BEST and I'll miss everyone on the patio!

Random thought of the day: I hope the rats from the other night have a union and I hope the one Olga grabbed by the tail got hazard pay.

Elias has taken Chente hostage, but Chente is not going to let Elias win, he eventually gets the upper hand in the fight and gets Elias to tell him where the kids are- Elias drives off in route to his office to get rid of incriminating documents- bro should have just left the country at this point, but noooooo. Anyhoo, even some of his minions dip because they realize that it's just a matter of time before their boss gets caught. Chente calls the popo and tells them that Elias is headed to his office and has asked his people for a helicopter, he then calls Natalia and tells her he knows where the kids are and is on his way to rescue them, then he hops in a cab and goes to the address that Elias gave him.

Vicente scopes out the building and SURPRISE! He finds Connie very much alive, Chente approaches the situation very gently, he tells Connie that he would like to check on the baby to make sure he's okay- Connie says the baby is perfect, she's his mother and with her the baby will always be safe and have everything he needs- she's just waiting on Elias to come and get them out of the country. Chente reminds her of one little tiny problem: the baby already has a mother who is now worried and beyond herself because her baby is missing. Connie tells Chente that Andrea didnt even love the baby and she (Connie) has loved him from the start. Chente leaves Connie and calls the police and then Natalia to tell her that he found the baby but not Benjamin oh and also her sister is still kicking, the cops arrive and arrest Connie for kidnapping.

Hey, JudyB, this is the last night  on the patio under my watch for this one. It is a potluck tonight.  I am sure everyone will bringing their favorites.  I  am bringing some Swedish meatballs from IKEA  and picked up some chocolate donuts for dessert.  Save me a  a seat next to you so we can make snarky comments during the show.    ; )   It looks to be another good one. Only two after  this one for Natalia, Chente and  Ben to get a happily ever after.    

Since this is my last recap for this novela, I would  like to thank Jardinera and Princess Juju for being such a great recapping team to work with. It has been a pleasure and I hope to work with you guys in the future on another novela. 

Another thanks goes out to all of the commenters who made watching this novela a fun experience from beginning to end and another thanks to both the commenters and readers who  made me feel that recapping  this was a worthwhile venture. 

Here we go!

1. Chente starts dragging Olga along the street to take her to the police station since he already has filed child abuse charges against her. He wants to see her in jail where she belongs. Suddenly, she  knees Chente who, after the shock, runs after her. Olga sees a cab, jumps in and is gone. Chente screams after her that there is nowhere to hide.  He will find her.  She will pay for everything she did.

So, while Fernanda discovers Veronica and Adrian at the restaurant, Natalia jimmies the lock to Constanza's bathroom door. Once it's open, she finds Connie passed out with pills spilled onto the floor next to her.  

Outside the manse, Gustavo drives up in a rage; he's waving a pistol but Vicente has followed him and grapples with Tavo for possession of it.  Tavo gets away.  They both race into the house just as Nata races down the stairs, screaming in a panic over Connie's attempted suicide.

Hey, JudyB,  Happy Fourth of July!! We are on full cookout mode tonight on the patio. We have burgers, hot-dogs, ribs and chicken with all of the accompanying snacks and sides including baked beans, mac and cheese and of course coleslaw and potato salad. Sundaes, apple pie a la mode, peach cobbler  along with  s'mores rounds out our dessert selection.  It s a BYOB kind of evening, so if the soft drinks, wine and beer, don't quite do it, feel free to bring something more to your taste. 

1. Elías tells Connie that the plan is for her to "die" tonight. She isn't too keen on the idea and asks why they cannot wait a couple of days since this is not a very easy thing to do. He assures her that she will be kept at a well-guarded safe house until she is ready to leave the country with the baby.  She wants to see her "son"  born. Elías makes the point that for all of this to work, it has to be done as he has decided. There is no time to postpone anything. He has it all arranged. He wats her "dead" tonight with her family around her body. She has the rest of the day to take care of any pending issues. He gives her a bottle of pills to take tonight and tells her to get somebody to call an ambulance for her. He will see her later. 

2. Chole is having an ultrasound. Tavo never thought that life would give him the happiness of being a father.  It turns out that they are having a baby girl.

 ⦁ Natalia and Andrea have a sweet mother-daughter chat about motherhood.  Andi also acknowledges that Nata is only back with Adrian to assist the police.  Andi has accepted this and holds out a sliver of hope that he's clean as the wind-driven snow, but also admits she knows Vicente is her mother's true love and wishes the best for them once all is over.

⦁ At breakfast with Veronica, Elias has a hearty meal.  Vero says it's a shame that Samia is stuck with a man who doesn't love her and all for money.  Eli gobbles through his food and says something like she knows what's good for her and how much she's got to lose.  (Sounds like a confirmation to me....)He chucks her under the chin and tells her not to become traditional.  It bores him. She tells herself in a fit of pique as he walks out the door that he's a fool and doesn't know what awaits him.

 Good morning everyone! Here's your recap:

Benjamin spill the beans, he tells Chente about every awful thing that Olga has said/done to him. Chente promises that Olga will never hurt Benjamin again, and I don't know if that's a promise that Chente will be able to keep.

Meanwhile, outside of the church everyone is ready to kill Olga, Magos is upset that she allowed the abuse to happen because the signs that Benjamin was scared of Olga were there all along. Eventually everyone gets tired of waiting and they go home, only Chole stay behind because she feels responsible for Olga, Gustavo arrives and tells her that Olga is nowhere to be found, Chole tells him about what Olga did to Benjamin and Gustavo assumes that Olga knew Benjamin had video of her abusing him and that's why she ran away. Gustavo apologizes to Chole and begs for forgiveness, he wants to have a family with her, we all know that she takes him back. I could never forgive my partner for accusing me of cheating, I especially could never forgive him if he accused me of having someone else's baby, nope, nope, nope. Also, Chole is too pretty for Gustavo.

Hey, JudyB,  it is warm on the patio tonight. We brought out some fans to help cool  off.   Tonight we have a selection of fresh fruit: cherries, grapes, pineapple, watermelon, peaches, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, mango, cantaloupe, honeydew melon and lots of icy drinks. Save me a seat near a fan. I need it! 

1.  Olga talks way too long telling Natalia how she is done with Chente. She realizes that Chente doesn't care for her at all because of how mean he is to her.  The wedding is canceled. Natalia says Chente talked to her about the doubts that he had but she refuses to get involved because that's something that is between him and Olga. Olga  tells Natalia that she is going to get an abortion. Natalia tries to talk her out it. Olga says she cannot bring a baby into the world condemned to live without their father. It is her body and her decision. 

2. Chente goes to visit 2XJosé to give him the good news.  They have a lawyer and a real clever one at that. It turns out that Simba was able to give his statement before he died and he told the truth. They will be able to get 2X out of jail real soon. 2X is relieved because jail has been such a nightmare for him.

⦁ Gustavo is still mooning over the picture of Chole's ultrasound.

⦁ The neighborhood has joined together to cook much of the food so that Natalia will be able to open her fonda the next day.  She and her mother and daughters also were able to scrounge around to prepare everything ordered by Don Julian.  Happy, happy!  Joy, joy!

⦁ Gustavo appears at Chole's shop with a bouquet in hand and begs for forgiveness for doubting her.  He informs her that Fernanda confirmed that the supposed doctor who told him years ago that he was sterile was a conman who was fired.  (--and I hope, prosecuted?)  Although Fer has recommended taking new tests he won't because he knows in his heart her baby has to be his.  Chole tells him to go pound sand.

Hey, Judy, B, we are into the final stretch!  It looks like it will be another exciting episode tonight. It is a truly lovely evening  on the patio. We have some pie tonight: cherry or blueberry,   a la mode if you wish.  We also have throws out tonight to keep nice and comfy. 

Here we go!

1. It is the next morning at the boarding house and breakfast time. JuanGa is looking for Granny Magos. Olga says she took Ben to school and nastily adds that Granny Magos is capable of doing that other own.  Claudio complains about being cold in his room while Chole reminds him that it must be better than  sleeping on a park bench. Surprisingly, Claudio agrees saying  the neighborhood is in the hands  of criminals and tells how other day he got assaulted and Simba did too. Chole cannot believe that Simba was assaulted. JuanGa jokes that they must have stolen his soap being as filthy as he is. Claudio explains how those vandals strongly clawed his neck. Chole asks if he is sure about what he is saying. Claudio says he is. Olga appears to stare off into space as she listens carefully. Chole explains that Natalia told her that she gave the guy who tried to hurt her a good clawing on his neck.  She concludes that the guy must have been Simba. Mario agrees that if he has a scratch mark on his neck, the attacker must have been Simba. Chente comes in wondering why everyone is so quiet.

⦁ At Constanza's palatial manse the familial reunion "de verdad" is finally taking place. Samia asks how her adoption plans are progressing and Elias adds the icing on my cake by telling her how he admires Connie's courage to become parents at her age.  (Finally,a bit of sparsely sprinkled sanity.)  Connie defends her actions to assist her niece, Andrea, in her time of need as well despite nasty accusations of her family.  No matter.  That is resolved now with the marriage.  Samia takes her leave and Eli makes his proposition to Conz: how would you like to raise my future heir out of the country but by your side and avoid his being a social climber like his mother?  Connie is prepared to do ANYTHING!

 Here's your recap~ Events may not be in order

We start with Natalia explaining to the girls that she is going to return to Adrian but only to find out if he really is involved in criminal activity- and if she is she will gather the evidence needed to send him back to prison, she makes both girls promise to not mention a word of this to anyone.

Sidenote: OMG, what in the world is going on with Andrea's eyebrows? She gives Peter Gallagher a run for his money.

Elsewhere Elias and Adrian meet, they are "celebrating" the new business venture that is bound to net them much more money than Natalia's stolen inheritance. Elias also makes it known that Veronica is HIS (ewww), she's really great in bed and Adrian better stay away from her. Adrian tells Elias that Veronica is a ticking time bomb.

Next, Claudio. He is in a bad way. Constanza gives him one last drink before she kicks him out of the house, he shows up outside Natalia's house and discharges the gun, he's too drunk to actually hurt himself, Tere allows him into the house but tells im that just because she's allowing him to stay there it does not mean that they are back together.

Hey, JudyB, there are plenty of icy beverages on the patio tonight but it is BYOS: Bring Your Own Snack.  Summer has just started but it has gotten the best of many of us (like me) already! 

1. The episode opens with Natalia telling Adrián that she is still in love with Chente and he telling her that he will do all he can to make her forget him. She makes it clear that he needs to take it slow as they give their marriage one last chance.  (I must say that Susana González being the great actress she is is able to portray Natalia as a very poor actress as she lies to Adrián.  How could he ever have believed her???) 

2. Mario is in no mood to talk about the car restoration business with Vale. His mind is somewhere else and he leaves with an annoyed Vale who thinks he must be involved with another woman. 

4. Once outside of the repair shop,  Mario calls Agent Sandra Arellanos. He is ready to cooperate with the authorities to establish his innocence.

Hey, JudyB, it is another scorcher on the patio tonight. The Good Humor man will be making his rounds with endless treats!  I have always liked the strawberry shortcake or the Mickey ice cream bar myself. Decisions, decisions! 

1. Mario is confronting Vero about his sister Tania. She hopes he has left his tigress in her cage with a double lock on the  door. He tells her not to talk about his novia that way. She smiles saying she agrees that he should be affectionate with his pets, but he needs to train them. He makes it clear that he is not there for insults but came to clarify the situation with his sister. She is convinced that Adrián was behind the death of his sister. Mario tells her the dates don't match and shows her some documents to prove it. Tania  was dead before Adrián traveled to Italy. Vero thinks that Adrián must have hired a hitman. Vero is impressed by Mario's attitude. Tania abandoned him when he was in jail,  left with all of his money and it still hurts him to have lost her. He says she was still  his sister and the only family that he had. He blames Vero for having pressured Tania to have done what she did. Vero pats him on the face and tells him that he is a good man. He recoils from her touch. Maybe she made a mistake choosing Adrián. She asks Mario if they had married, would they have been happy?

Hey, JudyB, it is a hot one on  the patio tonight.  We have Italian ice in the traditional: lemon, strawberry or chocolate to help us keep our cool! 

1. At Connie's,  Claudio begs Tere to take him back. He threatens suicide as he does repeatedly in this episode. Tere throws him out. He sits on the steps of the mansion as Tere cries inside. 

2. Connie goes to see Vero feeling she had not other choice after the threats Vero made to her. What dos Vero want? Ver smiles.

3. Chente is still begging for Natalia to continue their relationship. She is begging him, in spite of their love for each other, to end it all. 

4. Vero asks why Connie didn't greet her at the quinceañera. Connie answers that she doesn't like to be associated with social climbers.  Vero wonders if the real reason is that she is afraid that Natalia might  discover that Connie always knew about what was going on with Vero and Adrián. Connie says she knew "something" about it. Vero pins her down saying she knew all about it but wouldn't get involved to warn her sister. Connie has to admit the day that Natalia found out about Vero and Adrián  was one of the happiest days of her life. What Connie didn't expect was that Adrián would get bored with Vero so quickly. Vero insists that Adrián is still hers. Connie wonders about that knowing that Adrián begged Natalia on his knees for another chance. Vero is sure he isn't after Natalia for love. He is hiding some dark secret from her and she is going to find out what it is.

Judy B, hate to say but our shindig on the patio was cancelled last night due to the horrible thunderstorms and tornado warnings. Both episodes were pre-empted by weather reports.  That didn’t matter much but then the electricity went out.  I watched the episodes  on my phone this a.m. and am now having a lovely coffee out ( before it hits 100).  I am on my trusty tablet and will give you a few highlights.

1. Olga makes sure she tells Natalia she is pregnant. JuanGa wants to marry her. Chole kicks her out. She wheedles her way into living at Chente’s. 2. Nobody believes 2XJosé about Lorenzo. Lorenzo might lose an eye from the fight but still puts the moves on Regina. 3. Natalia will always love Chente but theirs will never be. 4. Adrián and Vero get their freak on with guns and sex. She suspects he really wants to get back with Natalia because of some money he has discovered. 5. After talking to Fernanda, Mario decides to romantically pursue Vale. He tells her he loves her. 6.Granny Magos tells Chente to make sure Olga’s baby is his, but it seems he is too easily/stupidly swayed by her doctor/lab report. 7. Tavo is still with Connie and insulting Chole.8. Granny Magos tells Olga she has her number and calls her a slut to her face. 9. Tere finds out that perpetually drunkClaudio has been lying about  the ambassadorship and wants a divorce. 10. Adrián tries to put moves on Natalia again

It's that time again! We need to talk about who gets what's coming to him (or her) for all their evil deeds. Most of us here are experienced viewers so we know that what we think is right is not always what the writers will have done. So.... here we ask the two questions:

• What do you think the writers will do to them?

• What do you think they really deserve (if different)?

Keep in mind that all of these are sexist and classist.  All info is through Episode 79.

Veronica Alanis Gomez / Denia Agalianou

Guilty of at least one murder (Tania, sister of Mario), several counts of embezzlement, adultery, and probably various other sexually deviant behavior we have not been privy to. Guilty of colluding with Adrian and Pedro for embezzlement, Olga for potential crimes against Natalia, – including murder – and Elias against his own son. Paid Olga for information. Guilty of double-crossing Adrian and thinking she is all that and a pound of Beluga caviar.

We still don't know what the connexion is between blood and her yellow roses, but let's hope that gets confirmed. She may be the reincarnation of a past serial killer.

 [Parte 1~~ ***NOTICE: 2 hrs. of episodios this Monday night!!*** --Ed.]

⦁ Natalia tells Adrian it's time for her and Regina to move out and move on.  (Her boots were also made for walkin'....)  She's been there the past two weeks as a debt to him for risking his life to save her from the thieves.  He accuses her of reacting negatively to Veronica's unexpected visit.  Nopers!  She could care less--but isn't it curious that she's running around free as a lark when she's supposedly the mastermind behind all  the company fraud??? (Viewerville was so entirely awestruck it hadn't had a moment to question such.)  This is very astute on Nata's part and Adrian has to do a bit of a moonwalkin' two-step to come up with a (not-so-suitable) answer.  There is no proof so it's her word against his.  Period. (Who's bribed what judge would be my next question, but we are dealing with a pair of supposedly college-educated celluloid numbnuts so why bother?)   Nata insists numerous mysteries are abounding that he's preventing from coming to light.

 Hey,  JudyB,  looks like it could be another exciting episode tonight.  We have some Valencia orange infused tequila for your drinking pleasure with some nachos. Save me a seat!

1. Chente agrees that he is the biggest imbecile of all  because he has no idea how any of this happened. He begs for one more chance to show that he didn't do it but Natalia refuses. He would never want to hurt her or Olga. Olga  has been through so much. Natalia has a hard time containing  her anger and sarcastically agrees: "Yes, Poor Olga." Natalia then admits she feels sorry for Olga knowing everything she has done just to get a crumb of Chente's attention. Chente insists he would never hurt Natalia on purpose. She tells him he is worse than Adrián. She will never forgive him. He did the same thing to her that Adrián did after knowing how Adrián cheated on her. He tries to touch her as he begs to be forgiven again. She removes his hands and tells him not to touch her. She informs him that he has lost her forever. She knows who she is, what she is worth and she has her dignity.  She does not deserve to spend her life with another miserable man like him. His cheating hurts her so deeply but his lies insult her!! 

2. Tere asks Chole if she thinks she can solve things with Tavo. Chole says she thinks not because of how  he offended her and treated her as if she was the worst woman of them all. Tere believes in miracles and thought that Tavo would have been happy finding out she was pregnant. Chole plans on proving that the baby is Tavo's and then she will prevent him from returning to her life. She tells Tere she cannot imagine the horrible things that he said to her doubting  her and her love. He is sure she slept with somebody else and so he rejected their child. Julián Reus the caterer walks in the door looking for Natalia. Tere says she is her daughter and introduces herself. There seems to be some attraction. Tere directs him to the kitchen to find Natalia.
