TELEMUNDO Y MÁS (#1): Hercai: Amor y Venganza 2, Pasión de Gavilanes 2, y más: Week of April 11, 2022
Here are the current telenovelas (all times are Eastern Daylight Time):
9-10PM - Hercai: Amor y Venganza 2**
10-11PM - Pasión de Gavilanes 2**
**On Wednesday, April 13, there's a one-day schedule change. As usual, Zap2It and Telemundo's program guide disagree about the specifics. According to Zap2It, on Wednesday Hercai will be shown at 10PM and Pasión will not be shown. However, Telemundo's program guide claims that both telenovelas will be pre-empted by fútbol. Your guess is as good as mine. Both sources agree that everything goes back to normal on Thursday.
Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation. Since discussions of all the novelas share the same page, please remember to put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post, so readers can easily find the conversations they're looking for.
By common agreement, this group DOES NOT discuss previews, trailers, or any other plot information not found in a current or past episode of the current production. Spoilers WILL be removed by the admin. This includes reference to earlier productions of the story, and even the original novel. Thanks for your cooperation!

Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #98
Part 1 of 3
The arrival of Dilsah, aka the Red Menace (thank you novelera) to the new “family” gathering at the Hopeless house causes uncomfortable glances all around. The last, is a stare down between RM and Azize. Hazar breaks the tension by confirming with Miran that Firat was already working with the construction company to rebuild the Umut Foundation. Firat says that once the damage appraisal is received, they can start on it right away. Miran and Hazar are heading to meet with them and of course Reyyan wants to go, but finally is encouraged to sit and rest.
In the car, Hazar tells Miran not to worry, they will rebuild the Foundation quickly and more beautifully. Miran laments that the Foundation will be rebuilt, but money and power mean nothing if he can’t save the life of the one he loves. Hazar encourages him saying that love is going to be enough to save Reyyan and Umut. Miran’s love for his wife will help him find the solution.
Back at the Hopeless house, things are looking up as Mahfuz is in the courtyard waiting for Reyyan. She greats him warmly. He has come to check on her and be grateful that no one was at the Foundation when it burned. He graciously offers to pay all the expenses to rebuild. (I guess Aslan paid him well). She initially says that Miran will cover the cost to rebuild, but then says yes, when Mahfuz says it is his fatherly duty to put a smile on his daughter’s face. They hug and he tells her that as her father, he will always be by her side. He accepts her offer to make him a cup of coffee.
At the burned down Foundation, Miran finds some of the drawings the little girls made for the grand opening. The insurance adjuster arrives and confirms the fire was intentionally caused. He recommends Miran file charges against any suspect. Miran tells him that he will not file charges, he just needed the cost breakdown to start the rebuild. The insurance guy leaves and Hazar asks if Miran shouldn’t reconsider charging Cihan for the arson? Miran says he would love to make him pay but he promised Reyyan to just stay focused on saving her and Umut. Hazar congratulates him for keeping a clean heart.
Back at the Hopeless house, Reyyan brings Mahfuz and cup of coffee. He marvels at the taste, saying he hasn’t had such a great cup since his mother died. Reyyan begins to ask questions about their family. In short, it sounds like a well to do family who lived in a very ground fertile part of Turkey near the sea. Mahfuz says you can plant a dry twig and it will grow into a strong fruit tree. (I guess this is why Reyyan has always been so interested in horticulture).
He has three siblings. One passed away three years earlier. He tells Reyyan that she reminds him a lot of his mother. She always had a smile and made jokes. Reyyan’s smile warms him as his mother’s used to. (This was a nice conversation and interesting to learn more about our only galan, Mahfuz. I also like the sound of the patio fountains in the background as they spoke).
Hazar drives up to the Sad casa and is greeted by Zehra. She is upset about the total loss of the Foundation. They commiserate a bit about how unfair it is for Miran and Reyyan after all they have been through and now this. Hazar tells her they cannot cry and must be strong for Reyyan. They open the front door to the Hopeless house and see Reyyan laughing with Mahfuz in the patio. At first Zehra has a face but Hazar tells her to leave them alone. He can tell how happy Reyyan is. Surprisingly, she doesn’t interrupt and leaves with Hazar as Mahfuz continues to entertain Reyyan with stories of their family.
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #98
Part 2 of 3
Dr. Azra is busy at work when a knock on the door reveals a guard with a bandaged hand and her loving (not) mother, Fu. Dressed in her bubble-bee outfit of yellow pants and black fur, Fu wants to know why Azra hasn’t called or visited. Azra is ticked, saying I was very clear the last time we met, I will not visit or call you again. I cannot believe you are here. You are not my mother! Any person who poisons a pregnant woman is not my mother.
Fu gives her usual, I am falsely accused speech. Everyone is lying to you to keep us apart. You should trust me, I am your mother. Trust you? Azra has Fu call in her henchie who has a bandaged hand. Looking at the wound, Dr. Azar deduces that it is a severe burn. She accuses Fu rightfully of burning down the Foundation as well as poisoning Reyyan. What do you want from them? Azra demands. I only want you, my daughter, is Fu’s reply. Well, that is not happening, says Azra, we are right back to where we started, my mother is dead. Oh and by the way, I am not going to tell Miran that you are responsible for the arson, because I don’t want him to get in trouble. She kicks Fu out of the office and tells her never to look for her again.
Reyyan says goodbye to Mahfuz as Miran arrives with the Umut van full of the little girls from the Foundation and their parents. They are there to cheer her up. Miran invites them to dinner and he even juggles oranges as entertainment. The group is grateful they are going to rebuild.
It is bed time and Reyyan is talking excitedly about having afterschool programs at the Foundation for kids to get extra food and lessons in music or gardening. Miran is a bit of a gloomy Gus listening to her plans. She takes note of this. Then he tells her that they are leaving to Berlin, where a doctor friend of his is going to try and help. She is afraid that the news is going to be the same. Miran tries to be a bit more positive saying they will take their “Hope” all over the world if necessary to save them both. They both promise not to give up on each other.
A few days later, Reyyan is putting on a jacket when she suffers an intense pain. She is barely recovered when Miran enters the bedroom and tells her it is time to leave or they will miss their flight. She cannot hide that she is not feeling well and blames it on morning sickness. Down in the patio, the family roaches have gathered to see ReyMir off. Zehra is making a bit of a scene, wishing they would not go. Everyone except the Red Menace gives Zehra words of encouragement and strength. ReyMir come down the stairs as Rey has another bout of pain. She whispers to Miran that it is morning sickness and not to alarm the family.
At the bottom of the stairs, Miran tells Ayise to get Rey some water. As she drinks, everything gets blurry and she passes out, falling into Miran’s arms. Dr. Azra says they need to get her to the hospital ASAP. With his typical calm demeanor, Miran carries Rey to the car. (Of course I am joking, he is yelling and screaming).
At the hospital, Rey wakes up asking for Miran. Dr. Azra is there with her and goes to get Miran who is waiting out in the lobby. Miran is on the phone with Hazar who is checking in (I am surprised everyone isn’t there with them at the hospital). Apparently, Rey needed fluids and once the IV is done she can return to the house. Hazar offers to go be with Miran but he says they will be home soon.
Dr. Azra let’s Miran know that Reyyan is awake. She also tells him that her condition has worsened considerably and it is not safe for her to travel anywhere. They need to make a decision now about aborting Umut to save Reyyan’s life.
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #98
Part 3 of 3
Miran goes into the hospital room and breaks the news to Reyyan. It is too dangerous for them to fly to Berlin. They must reconsider aborting Umut to save her life. Reyyan has mini-meltdown, saying he promised to find a way to save them both. She refuses to give up on Umut. Miran counters saying that if she sacrifices herself for Umut’s life, Miran has no hope and neither will Umut or the all the children at the Foundation that are counting on their help, especially hers.
Don’t do it my love, he begs, don’t give up on me or those orphaned children. Let’s say goodbye to our son, while there is still time. Reyyan cries, saying that she won’t be able to have children. Miran tells her that they can adopt a child who needs their help, maybe even several children. It does not matter they will not be of their own blood. This argument convinces Reyyan, as sadly, Miran tells Azra that they have made a decision. They are ready.
Azra tells Rey to follow her so she can prepare her. Rey, nods her head yes, crying and begins to walk to the exam room with Azra. Miran holds her back hugging and kissing her. He then kneels down in front of Umut, kisses Rey’s belly and says he is sorry to his son for not being able to keep them both alive.
He then holds Rey’s crying face and tells her that he loves her very much. He wishes he was the one who could give his life to save their son. He asks her forgiveness for not being able to keep them both alive. Reyyan tells him she knows he did everything possible to keep both her and Umut alive. She loves him very much and she kisses him without being embarrassed. She walks away with Azra, turning once more to look at Miran. (If we not had months and months of Miran drama and melt-downs, this scene would have meant a lot more. Overall, it was well done).
Miran watches her go into the exam room and grabbing his chest, he leaves the hallway quickly. Inside the exam, now surgery room, Azra helps Reyyan into a surgical gown. Reyyan thinks, my son, I could never have imagined this. I would have thought you would be born; I would be filled with your scent and our eyes would lock together for hours. I was patiently waiting for your first smile. When you laughed that would erase all the hurt and anger from the past. I would be reborn when you called me mother for the first time.
As we see Miran stumble around in the waiting room, Reyyan continues her thoughts to her son, saying she knows his father did everything to keep them both alive. She also says goodbye to Umut and asks for forgiveness. Azra helps her sit in one of those horrible stirrup chairs. Miran thinks about the day he learned he would be a father and the day they went shopping for baby stuff. He also remembers the “ring” test that revealed they would have a boy and a girl.
We are saved from the sad memory lane as Miran’s phone rings. It is the hermit doctor, Turan. Miran doesn’t answer, saying it is too late. The doctor immediately sends a text saying that there is a small bit of hope, they need to talk. Miran calls him back, tell me quickly doctor, as the episode ends.
Thank you Nett for all the recaps! It has been a long road with this dizi. I do hope you can pop in from time to time.
Thanks VERY much, VVS, for this excellent recap! I appreciate your focusing on the scenes that were most important.
Ah, we finally get to see Mahfouz again. It was great to see Reyyan take such pleasure in being with him and finding out about his (and thus her) family. I was stunned when he offered to pay all the expenses for rebuilding the Foundation. Where did he get that kind of money? You suggest--either seriously or in jest--that Aslan must have paid him well. I think it's highly unlikely that his work with Aslan could have paid him anywhere near what it would cost to rebuild the Foundation. His offer makes me realize that we still know very little about him. Does he have a lucrative profession? Is his family more than just well-to-do?
I was surprised when Miran tells Hazar that he'd love to make Cihan pay but he promised Reyyan he'd just stay focused on her and Umut. Good grief--he's actually keeping a promise! With Miran, it always seemed that promises were made to be broken.
I LOVED your description of "Fusun dressed in her bubble-bee outfit of yellow pants and black fur"! A killer bumble-bee! And given Azra's adamant rejection of Fusun the last time they met, whatever gave Fusun the idea that Azra/Gunes would welcome her now, let alone be willing to treat her arsonist thug?
I confess that Reyyan drives me crazy every time she says to Miran, "You promised to save me and our baby! You promised! I sympathize with her disappointment, but she sounds like a five-year-old child.
I agree that the scene between Reyyan and Miran right before she goes with Azra was well done, but/and I agree completely with you when you say "(If we not had months and months of Miran drama and melt-downs, this scene would have meant a lot more. Overall, it was well done)." Yes! You've put your finger on why the scene didn't affect me quite as much as I would have expected.
As Miran sat outside the treatment room, I kept waiting for his phone to ring. I've been sure for a while that we hadn't heard the last from Dr. Turan.
Thanks again, VVS!
Nett, I'm sorry to hear that you won't be able to do more Hercai recaps. I've really enjoyed the ones you've done.
I might add that it's not at all clear whether there will be an episode to recap on Wednesday. Zap2It claims that Hercai will be shown at 10 pm on Wednesday and Pasión won't be shown at all that day. However, Telemundo's program guide claims that Mexican fútbol will pre-empt both programs. If I had to guess, I'd choose Telemundo's account. The fútbol match will be shown on the West Coast (where I am) starting at 6 PM PDT, which is 9 PM EDT. So if the East Coast isn't going to see Hercai, my guess is that it simply won't be shown. But that's just my guess.
I was totally being a smarty pants Juanita about Aslan paying Mahfuz well. If I recall, Mahfuz told Ayise several times that the only reason he was with Aslan was to be close to Reyyan. He also seemed to be quite the playboy back in the day with Zehra. He told her that he just wanted to have fun and travel, not be tied down with a family. Maybe his family is wealthy. He is definitely an interesting character. I enjoyed the father/daughter bonding.
Miran finally did keep a promise! There has to be more drama coming with Fu and Cihan. I am glad Miran is staying out of it. I was also glad he was willing to adopt children. Watching him and Rey have fun with the Foundation girls was nice. I had to laugh at the table set for “dinner” with cakes, cookies and chocolate covered strawberries. Yum!
I was also hoping that Dr. Turan would come to the rescue at the last minute. I don’t think Reyyan will be able to go through the procedure.
Playing catch-up is hard to do, but I am eternally grateful for all the wonderful recaps and comments. That being said, thanks again so much VVS, dondi356, novelera, Nett and Juanita! It’s almost like reading a novel when I read almost a week’s worth of recaps, especially when my viewing time has been spotty at best. Ah well!
I tend to agree that there’s a lot about Mahfouz that we don’t know, but that I would like to know. Has he managed to stay single all this time? Or was there a wife somewhere in his past? He never came across as a poor old bloke, so my guess is that he comes from a very wealthy family, and probably runs the family business much like the Sadoglus. Maybe that’s why he isn’t in close proximity as much as we’d like? I do enjoy the father-daughter interactions between him and Reyyan, and am glad that Hazar doesn’t feel threatened by their relationship. Zehra, otoh, needs to get over it. If she can embrace Azize after all she’s done, she can embrace anybody!
I was actually touched by Reymir’s scenes in making the decision to let Umut go. Their combined despair and sadness pulled at my heartstrings and I forgot in that moment what an ass Miran is. Choosing between losing your wife and/or your child is heart wrenching, and Miran’s torn emotions were completely believable. I almost cried with them, lol……..I also believe that both Reyyan and Umut will make it. I don’t think the writers are heartless enough to make Reyyan lose both babies.
Fusun dressed like a bee! Hahaha! I love bees though, so I’ll think of her as one of those killer wasps that look like bees but ain’t! Problem with Fusun, well, one of them, is that she expects her revenge to yield both good and bad results for her. She needs to pick one or the other if she wants any kind of relationship with Azra, whether it be hate or indifference, cause the love card ain’t gonna work at this point. Fusun is all alone, and will continue to be, except for her goon. Does Mahfouz know that Fusun killed his grandchild? If he doesn’t, when he finds out, I think it will be him that kills or neutralizes Fusun…….we’ll see…
Thanks again VVS! Excellent, excellent recap!
VVS..excellent recap..because it was SOO SO SO SAD.. !!!!!
I was surprised how CALM ..MORON WAS...!!
.....so so sad.. and it had a cliff hanger????...Dr.turan..???!!! to the rescue??!
I will post a recap of yesterday's episode later today. I will post today's episode tomorrow in approximately the same hour.
It is always great to have you back carmella! I know your busy work schedule keeps you away. It is easy to get behind watching and commenting. I have to admit, I got teary watching ReyMir say goodbye to Umut and the love and support they demonstrated to each other. If only Miran kept that demeanor during this second season, it would have been so much easier to like him as well as watch him.
I do think Mahfuz knows that Fu poisoned Reyyan. But like everyone else, kept it quiet so Miran wouldn’t do something stupid. What I wasn’t sure about last night was whether Mahfuz knows Reyyan is so sick. You are so right that Zehra can hug Azize but gives Mahfuz dirty looks.
It was sad last night HalimaCandy. Miran was almost likeable the way he supported Reyyan and even wished he could give his life to keep them alive. Maybe this situation will finally help him really change. I sure hope it is Dr. Turan to the rescue!
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 40, Lunes, April 11, 2022, Parte 1/5
We left off episode 39 with a crazy Romina trying to make Jimena pass out with the classical telenovela handkerchief thing.
Romina succeeds to make Jimena pass out, with her eyes open for some reason. She has definitely passed out, though, because Romina tapped her with her finger and grabbed her hand and let it fall. She then told her "You think you're prettier than me?" and got a knife(!) out of her bag! She closed the door, put on a creepy red mask and started moving her head left and right in front of Jimena's face. Where is Óscar when you need him?
My question just got answered. He's STILL with the twins, drinking and talking about the extortionist. Subtitles were completely drunk here. I understood that Óscar said something about lotteries and "we're not going to cover(?) a crime by doing another one" or something like that. He then said that he and the twins are going to go the Professor's house to speak to a girl, I think. Did he mean Adela?
Dimi is dreaming about Gaby (yuck!) when he wakes up. He changes his shirt, goes outside and gets in his car. He drives off as Dominga (I assume it's her, I've never seen her before) watching him.
Romina is wearing a red dress and is moving/dancing/does whatever this is on the bed and subtitles say that she said something like "I like how you do it", so I'm scared of what is going on in her tiny, deranged mind. She asks Jimena "why don't you talk?" (Maybe because YOU drugged her?) She gets down, says something (I'm pretty sure she didn't say "like bilingual cotton", subtitles), brushes Jimena's hair, get a lipstick out of her bag and starts drawing lines on Jimena's face. (When I saw Romina moving on the bed, I laughed so much. WTH is this? XD)
Gaby calls Nino and asks about his family. Nino tells her they're alright, mostly thanks to her. Gaby hears somebody walking down the stairs and hides her phone behind her. It's Sarita, who asks her what she's doing in the living room. Gaby lies, saying that she was studying. Sarita asks about Andrés, but he's working tonight and won't come home. Gaby is behaving very sus, so Sarita asks her if everything is okay. Gaby says yes and Sarita gets back upstairs. Nino has hung up, so Gaby calls him back. Now she's outside. I can hear music, but I don't know who is playing it, since it's not Andrés. Dimi is watching...
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 40, Lunes, April 11, 2022, Parte 2/5
Romina is still painting Jimena's face. She puts some lipstick on her (Jimena's) lips and rubs it on Jimena's cheek. Now she's blinking. Will she wake up?
Gaby is still talking to Nino on the phone. She wants to get him and his family out of the neighborhood that they live in and move in to San Marcos. Dimi is watching her and opens a bag he brought with him... (That can't be good...)
Romina is doing the same dancing thing as before, but on the floor now. She turns Jimena's head to our right, gets the same backpack Romina always has with her and goes to the cupboard from the previous episodes. She finds the correct key immediately and almost unlocks it, when she hears Óscar arrive (how did she hear him? The front door was locked...) She manages to leave before Óscar sees her (wow, so unexpected) and Óscar finds Jimena unconscious. He tries to wake her up and tells her to look at him. Romina is running away. Wouldn't normally Romina just kill Jimena? She's crazy enough to do so. Sorry, I forgot, telenovela logic.
Dimi goes to approach Gaby when a dude with a gun stops him. Dimi tells him that he's not a thief, but the gun guy says that he looks like he's worse than a thief, like he's the one who has been (throwing out is what my subtitles said, I honestly don't know if it's a thing in slang. I'm not a native English speaker, so I'm not very familiar with slang.) Dimi of course denies this, saying that he's Sarita's friend. The gun guy doesn't believe him at first, but when Dimi says about the time when the house got robbed and he with his men came to "help", he believes him and lowers his gun. He still wants to inform Sarita, but Dimi says no and that he'll go back where he lives (I expect that he meant in hell). Anyway, they talk a bit more and Dimi gets in his car.
Bertha informs Óscar that Jimena isn't hurt, it's just paint. He asks Bertha if she heard anything. She says no, Jimena was nervous and she had told her to go to sleep. She also says it's strange, it looks like she's passed out but she's not(?) Bertha tells Óscar to call a doctor or go to the hospital and he says something that I didn't understand. Bertha goes to get something as Jimena says "Óscar, Óscar" and he kisses her forehead. Óscar, PLEASE tell me you're not THAT dumb and realize that it was Romina, please!
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 40, Lunes, April 11, 2022, Parte 3/5
The dude tells Sarita about Dimi when Gaby comes. The dude leaves and Gaby asks what's wrong. Sarita asks her why she was talking on the phone in the living room and outside. She tells Gaby about Dimi stalking her again and that he's living in Gabriela's house. Sarita asks her about her brother again, Gaby doesn't know. She goes to drink some water because she's upset and Sarita calls Andrés, who is in bed with Albín.
Albín passes the phone to Andrés, aka the man with the most awful ringtone in the history of ringtones, who doesn't want to answer. Albín tells him that it might be something important and Andrés answers the phone. Sarita asks him where he's been and he says that he's been playing sports the whole day with his friends and he stayed in one of their houses. He hangs up and Albín tells him that they have a pending conversation tomorrow.
Óscar talks with Bertha, who didn't find anything. She asks something, I think they mentioned the word "hospital", but I don't know if they want to get Jimena to a hospital or not. Jimena can talk again and Óscar asks her if she remembers anything. Jimena thinks and remembers Romina, with the mask on, unfortunately, moving her head left and right in front of her. Jimena says something like "I don't want to remember" and Óscar hugs her.
It must be the next day, because Andrés and Albín are awake, having breakfast and talking. Albín wants to tell people they're together (I'm not if he specified who he wants to know about them), but Andrés doesn't really want to. Andrés says that Norma and Juan were very discreet about it. (I don't know why he said that. It's true, but it is kind of against his opinion, but okay.) Albín insists. Andrés asks him what will happen if he says no and Albín says that he'll get angry and that they may fight.
Sarita is on the phone with Gabriela and tells her that she has no idea why Dimi is staying at Gabriela's. Gabriela says that Dimi's house is getting repaired and is actually pretty annoyed that they dared say something bad about the "caballero" (gentleman) Dimi! Okay, I understand that she misjudged him. I wouldn't have done it, if I was so wrong about somebody in the past, but some people never learn. But if your daughter and granddaughter tell you multiple times that something is wrong with that guy and that he's stalking your granddaughter, there's no excuse for believing HIM and not YOUR FAMILY. Gabriela hangs up and asks Dominga if Dimi left last night. Dominga says yes, it was very late.
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 40, Lunes, April 11, 2022, Parte 4/5
Jimena and Óscar are having breakfast. Bertha is standing there as well. Óscar tells her about the lipstick and everything else from last night (I think Romina left a dress or something that wasn't Jimena's on the bed?). Óscar thinks that Jimena did all of this (yes, he's THAT dumb) and Jimena says that it's not true. Óscar suggests going to a doctor, but Jimena tells him that she's not crazy (why do they think she's crazy? Why can't Óscar think that it was ROMINA?). That miserable, annoying piece of crap asks Jimena if she's taking drugs or other medications! He sure didn't get the "husband of the year" award. Jimena says no and is super annoyed. Óscar mentions "her friend, Javier Ángeles" (who is he?) and she says that he's not involved. They fight and she faints. I honestly hate Óscar at this point.
They put Jimena on the bed. Óscar called a doctor, who is on his way. Óscar didn't win the "husband of the year" award, as I said previously, but he definitely won the "idiot of the year" award. He STILL thinks Jimena is on drugs. Bertha tells him that she was nervous, because she found out that he's going to kick out the people who live in the mill(?) house. Óscar is confused and gets another call.
Gabriela confronts Dimi about going to Sarita's. WHY? Doesn't she understand that he'll just lie? He'll find an excuse! There's no way he's going to be like "Oh, yes, Gabriela, I was stalking your granddaughter because I'm obsessed with her, that's why I went :)" Why do people always do that? When Dominga leaves (Dominga was there), Dimi finds an excuse that is related to loneliness, I think, drunk subtitles again and Gabriela believes him. She does say "For you, it's an act of love. For Sara, it's abuse", but she does believe him overall. She's going to Sarita's later and Dimi wants to go with her. Gabriela doesn't think that it's a good idea, but Dimi insists (he's doing this to see Gaby again, isn't he)?
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 40, Lunes, April 11, 2022, Parte 5/5
Duvan is looking through Romina's stuff and she sees him. He asks he if she hurt his friend Jimena and Romina is mad because Duvan cares about her. She tells him not to search through her things again and tries to emotionally manipulate him by saying "do you want me to go to jail?" with a sad face. Duvan says of course not, but I don't want you to hurt anyone either and especially(?) not her! Romina's sad face is magically gone, now she's back to being mad again.
Gabriela goes alone to Sarita's and confronts Sarita and Gaby for making life for Dimi miserable! Is she out of her mind? She even says that Dimi didn't stalk Gaby, but Gaby tells her that she didn't tell the police, but that doesn't mean that it didn't happen. Gabriela tells Gaby that's she's a bad influence on her mom and Gaby says that Dimi is a bad influence on Gabriela. Sarita tells her to go to her classes and Gaby leaves.
About that thing that Gabriela came alone? Yeah, no. Dimi came with her, he's just standing outside. Gaby tells him to not come back to their house and Dimi says that she can't forbid him. Her mother can, but she appreciates him, according to Dimi, so get that idea out of your head. Gaby gets into her car and leaves. Dimi sees the gun guy/dude (González) and tries to confront him about telling Sarita, but he says that this is his job. They talk a bit more and the gun guy/dude leaves.
Óscar is in his car and is talking with one of the twins (Érik?) on the phone. He says he can't help them right now. Érik tells him that he hopes Jimena recovers soon and hangs up. He tells León that they have to set the trap for the extortionist alone. It's just them in this.
Muriel is talking with JD on the phone. They say that they'll meet later where they always do. Gunther knocks and enters Muriel's room. He tells her that she has to go shopping with Rosario, but Muriel tells him that she has planned something else. Gunther says that she has to cancel it. Muriel isn't cancelling anything. Gunther advises her to be on good terms with Rosario. He also tells her that Muriel's dad called him(!), he just finished a long trip and he's coming to take care of the unfinished business. Muriel wants more details and Gunther tells her something about time and that she'll understand. (Can someone please add what he said? It must be important.)
And we have the Fin del Capítulo.
This was a fun episode to recap.
I'm super tired. I shall sleep now. It's actually nighttime at my country. I hope you're having a great day or night.
Another terrific recap, VVS. I always enjoy your sense of humor and writing style!
I loved the scene with Fusun and Azra. Yep, how in the hell could Fusun think she could just show up at Azra's medical office after what she'd heard from Azra about never wanting to see her face again. I didn't notice the bandage when Goon #2 entered with Fusun. He's not the same guy as Goon #1, whose name begins with an H but that never sticks in my brain. But Sherlock Azra saw the bandage and figured it out. Loved seeing Fusun's Gasbag face realizing she'd been outed as the arsonist.
Are they ever going to explain where Crispy Aslan and Sultana have gone and/or will they re-appear? I know, they've gone into the same black hole as Hanife.
Why in the hell did they just now consider adoption? If she did have to abort, it should have happened much earlier.
There was a good quote on the Uni page and I reproduce it here:
"Revenge, the sweetest morsel to the mouth that ever was cooked in hell" - Walter Scott. Very apropos of the whole of Hercai, que no?
Appreciate the comments novelera and the Walter Scott quote. They were not kidding about the Amor y Venganza, maybe it should be Some Amor and Pretty Much All Venganza.
I also wonder if we will see Gonul and Azat ever come back as well? I just don't see how they would manage to bring Sultana and Aslan back into the venganza mix.
Thank you weirdo for you fantastic recap! :) This was a fun episode
Romina's dancing with Jimena was very strange. That whole thing was so weird. Psychological torture!!
I just can't with Gabriela, she is too arrogant - you are exactly right the fact that she would blindly believe Dimi and insult her own granddaughter is unbelievable. What Gonzo told Dimi is that he didn't look like a thief, he looked like something much worse (ie. a creep who was stalking Gaby) I don't think Gonzalo did believe Dimi's lies - he went straight to Sarita for a reason. I think he knew Dimi was a threat and just decided to change tactics which was smart. Note, he didn't just say he was there, he said Dimi was stalking Gaby - this Gonzo knows what's what!!! Imagine saying Gaby is a bad influence on her mother!! LOL that is such a weird statement.
I still find it very strange that Andres is so reluctant to talk about his relationship with his family - he's so open about everything else. It doesn't fit that he is so transparent in many areas and secretive in this - at least not to my way of thinking. I would think that someone who felt they needed to hide would be reserved in everything else as well. And someone open would just be open. Plus, he told Muriel so fast...it makes no sense. Albin specifically wanted Andres to tell his mom and Gaby.
Far be it from me to defend Oscar, but I can see why he didn't know it was Romina. My first thought wouldn't have been 'maybe we baby mama stole the house keys, came over when I was out, drugged my wife and then played/danced around her closet while painting her in lipstick' either; it's not a normal thing to do. Jimena has been very nervous lately, I think the idea that maybe she had some sort of nervous breakdown is a reasonable theory - but his comment about her doing drugs was over the line. Yes, it was Eric on the phone with Oscar.
Judging from the loving conversation between JD and Muriel it looks like Rosi failed to put doubts into Muriel's head with the school ID. What Gunter told Muriel at the end was that he didn't know exactly what her dad would do but he's been calm for too long and Muriel should know that's not a good sign. The implication seems to be we will be seeing daddy soon!
Sorry I am late to the party .
VVS, I loved the recap. You captured every detail.
Fu as a humble bee. I like it. Buzzzzz buzzzz
She whines to Azra, " You don't call. You don't write."
My fav Mafouz finally got some screen time , and we got a bit of backstory.
What a heartbreaking decision about the baby , but it is what most loving husbands would do.
Thanks for the recap Weirdo.
If Jimena ends up leaving Oscar for good I’ll be in full support cos dude is just annoying at this point. How dim witted can one be when Romina has hinted more than once about something bad happening to Jimena. I’m so done with Oscar at this point.
Also Duvan defending Jimena was just so sweet of him. The kid really does love her.
I can’t wait to see the super dumb look on Gabriela’s face when the truth about the psycho that Demetrio is comes out. We all thought she had learned something from her Fernando experience but noooo, looks like she wants an encore but on a crazier demented level this time round.
Thanks for the recap Weirdo.

Weirdo, thank you for all your time and effort! Sorry to comment so late, especially since a new show has aired since, but just like you, I'm on a different time zone and by the time your recap was up I was sleeping zzzz... You mentioned something about being late where you live, where are you from? I live in France, but I'm originally from Romania (long story).
Just like you, all through that nasty Jimena-Romina scene I was wondering "Where is Oscar??" The fact that he doesn't suspect that she's to blame for Jimena's strange condition is normal for now, but how did Romina know he would be away from the house for so long? She did take her sweet time tormenting Jimena - changing outfits several times, dancing... what was it that she found just before Oscar came back, a little safe?
The whole thing was beyond disturbing, but I finally understand what Romina plans to do - make Jimena lose her mind - she's doing a good job for now, gotta say.
Another man of the house that was painfully missing was last night was Franco. "Where is Franco?" when his family is going through so much? Her daughter especially is in huge danger, I almost wish something happened to her (not very bad, just a scare) so that Gabriela understands what a fool she is.
Honestly, between Jimena being tortured and Gaby being spied on by a serial rapist/ murderer, the first part of the episode felt like anything BUT a novela.
When talking with Albin, Andres said that his mom knows about him (that's how I got his words), but that he doesn't want to share details with her. Maybe his coming out didn't go as well as he'd hoped for, maybe it happened around the time Franco left and Sarita was not at her best, or maybe Franco left soon after for completely different reasons, but Andres thinks he's partly to blame... Who knows... Or maybe Andres is just very very private. But I agree with Albin - he does need to tell his family where he's spending his nights as long as he's officially still living in his mother's house.
Hercai2: #99 - p 1 of 3
As the episode begins, Miran has just heard from Dr. Turan and is now racing to go to the room where Reyyan is having an abortion. He bursts in. It's not clear whether the procedure has already taken place. Azra leaves the room. "Is it over?" he asks. Reyyan looks sad and says nothing. "It's done," he cries. "I couldn't stop it. I couldn't do it. Forgive me." Reyyan replies, "You're the one who should forgive me. I couldn't do it." Miran asks, "Umut is still with us?" Reyyan thinks he'll be upset. Instead, he kisses her over and over in relief. Reyyan says, "All we need is a shred of hope." Miran tells her, "Now there is hope. A little miracle has occurred. Dr. Turan wants us to go to Istanbul. He said if the mother won't give up on Umut, he won't give up on her!" Reyyan tells Miran that she walked into the operating room thinking a miracle will occur and Miran will find it. Miran says they'll go to istanbul--in an air ambulance if need be--and come back with Umut. He cautions her, however, not to get her hopes up. The doctor said there was only a 25% chance of success. "That's not nothing," says Reyyan. "Not even close to nothing. It's definitely worth it. Our son didn't abandon us and we won't abandon him."
At the Not-Quite-Hopeless (NQH) konak, everyone waits nervously for news of Reyyan. Reyyan and Miran arrive. They announce that Dr. Turan has asked them to come to Istanbul, where he will try a new treatment. Zehra asks what that means. "It means we're going to raise our son."
Next door, at the SAD konak, Cihan is upset to hear laughter coming from the Not-Quite-Hopeless konak. He leaves to go to the factory. Handan reflects on what Yaren has told her, namely, that she's content to remain at the Aslanbey konak, and that Fusun can't hurt her for two reasons. One is that she's pregnant with Harun's child, and the other is that Firat will protect her. Handan was initially upset about Firat, thinking that Yaren was involved with Firat, a married man. Yaren assures her that that's not the case, but Handan is still upset (she knows her daughter well).
Over the wall at the NQH konak, Zehra asks Azra for more details. Azra admits that there's still considerable risk, and, of course, Zehra gets upset. Everyone (except the Red Menace) assures Zehra that all will be well.
Fusun calls Azra. Azra wants nothing to do with her. Fusun moves into threat mode. "I want you to leave that house and come here, and if you won't, I know how to get you to come." Azra insists that she won't come and wants nothing to do with Fusun.
Reyyan and Zehra talk in Reyyan's room. She tries to assure her mother that things will work out and Zehra should have faith. She tells Zehra she doesn't want to leave for Istanbul with her mother so upset. Zehra says she'll stop being so sad under one condition: she comes to Istanbul with ReyMir. Reyyan agrees, and Zehra goes off to pack.
Cihan arrives at the factory. One of the workmen, Hercan, calls out to him. He introduces himself and says that he worked at the factory but today he was fired. Cihan tells him to go see the foreman about his problem. Hercan informs him, "My problem is with you." Cihan tells him he doesn't understand. Hercan explains, "You made all those deals with the buyers. Because of you, the factory closed and I lost my job." Hercan wants Cihan to re-hire him or otherwise compensate him. Cihan tells him not to involve himself in things he doesn't understand. Hercan gets upset, and Cihan has him thrown out.
Hercai2: #99 - p 2 of 3
Back at the NQH konak, Dilsah (aka the Red Menace) is very unhappy that Reyyan may not die in giving birth to Umut. "There's still hope," she grumbles. "She's going to be saved." She takes a wedding photo of Miran and Reyyan and tears it in half, removing Reyyan. "When will I be rid of you, Reyyan? As long as you live, nne of us will have peace [no, Dilsah, as long as you live there won't be peace]. She claims that Reyyan is just like Azize.
Miran, about to leave for Istanbul, asks Nasuh and Azize to stay away from Fusun. Nasuh tells Miran to concern himself only with Reyyan and the baby. He, Nasuh, will take care of matters in Midyat. Miran replies, "The murderer of my baby will pay in due time, but I will handle it, not you, abuelo."
Dilsah comes into Reyyan's room without knocking. "I came to tell you not to have hope, Reyyan." "You're sick," Reyyan says to Dilsah. The Red Menace replies, "No, you're sick, Reyyan, but I'm fine. And I'll be much better when my grandson Umut is born. Umut, I, Azra, and Miran. We'll be a beautiful family." Reyyan grabs her arm and pulls her to the door and out into the corridor. "Get out! And never come into this bedroom again!" Dilsah says, "How dare you take my arm and push me like that? I'm going to prepare this room for Azra while you're in Istanbul, and when Miran returns with Umut in his arms, Azra will be waiting for himL" Reyyan asks, "Don't you realize the terrible things you're saying?" Dilsah replies, "You will die, Reyyan, as I've told you before, and it will be Azra who my grandson calls mamá." Oops, Dilsah is so caught up in her hatred that she doesn't realize that Miran has come by and has heard an earful. He tells her that she's not well, and that while he is in Istanbul, she will be in a clinic. Dilsah claims that Reyyan has caused all this. When Miran continues to talk about her needing treatment, she pleads with him not to lock her up. "I see it all now. Azize raised you." Dilsah runs off, and Miran runs after her.
Dilsah runs into the courtyard and apparently manages to get a gun from one of the guards. She points it at Miran and Reyyan. Hazar comes into the courtyard. Dilsah asks him to help her. She point the gun at Reyyan. Zehra appears and puts herself in front of Reyyan. Then Dilsah points the gun at Hazar. She talks about not wanting treatment and not wanting to be locked up. She says, "I had everything taken from me, my health, my life." Reyyan tells her, "You're not guilty of anything, but neither am I." Miran says, "If you kill Reyyan, you kill me." Hazar assures her that he won't let them lock her up, but she needs treatment, so that she can become healthy again. She cries, and sinks to the ground.
Since Azra hasn't come to be with Fusun, Fusun comes to get Azra. She tells Azra, "Don't fight me. I can't leave you here with my enemies." Azra informs her that the people she refers to as enemies are the people Azra considers her family. Fusun replies, "I'm your ramily, like it or not." Azra is unmoved. She tells Fusun, "All you know how to do is threaten. Goodbye." "Is that your last word?" asks Fusun. "Yes," replies Azra. Fusun tells her, "All these people you call family, I'm going to destroy them."
Hercai2: #99 - p 3 of 3
Firat enters the Aslanbey konak. Zeynep is delighted that he's back early. He tells her he has news--about Reyyan. "There's hope. It's small, but there's hope. I think we should go with them to Istanbul." Zeynep quickly agrees. Yaren has heard what Firat said. She asks whether she can speak with him--alone. He tells her that Zeynep is his wife and he doesn't hide anything from her. Zeynep, however, decides it would be best if she let Yaren speak with Firat alone, so she goes back upstairs. Yaren tells Firat she's scared of Fusun. Firat asks whether Fusun did something to her, hurt her. "No," Yaren replies, "but I discovered something and I'm very frightened. She poisoned Reyyan." Firat says he knows this. He then tells Yaren, "You can't pit people against each other, as you so often do. You're pregnant. Take care of the baby, and try to stay away from things that don't concern you." [Take that, Yellow Centipede!]
Miran is about to take Dilsah to a clinic. He tells Reyyan and Zehra, "This is hard for all of us, especially my mother." Zehra tells Miran not to bring Umut back to the NQH konak. She's worried about what Dilsah may still try to do to Reyyan. Reyyan, however, says "Dilsah is Miran's mother and Umut's grandmother. When she's well, she'll be here like everyone else." Miran asks her, "How many people have a heart as big as yours? I think no one."
Dilsah is in the car. Azra assures her that she'll call her every day and be in constant touch with Dilsah's doctor. "Why has everyone abandoned me?" asks Dilsah. "Will you return to your mother in my absence?" Azra replies, You are my mother. Have faith in me.You'll be better and come back." They hug each other. Azra parts from her and goes to talk to Miran, who is about to drive his mother to a clinic (I think). Azra says to him, "You're doing this for her. Keep your mind at peace." Miran thanks her. Azra asks to be kept informed. Miran asks, "Are you sure you don't want to come?" (I assume he means in the car with her mother, though it's possible that he means coming with them to Istanbul. But she replies, "I don't like goodbyes." I don't think she would have said that to him if he were referring to her coming to Istanbul.)
Miran gets in the car. I think Hazar is in the front passenger seat and Dilsah is by herself in the back. Miran drives off. We see a very sad Azra as the episode ends.
They announced at the end of Hercai that tomorrow there would be no episode. Hercai will be pre-empted by fútbol. So the next episode will be on Thursday.
Adriana, interesting theory about Andres and the timing of Franco's leaving...that could definitely be it. My understanding of Andres' conversation with Albin wasn't so much that he had told Sara as she knew even though he hasn't. Like a 'she's my mom she knows who I am, she loves me' 'well did you tell her?' 'no, but she knows'. He did say Sara saw him and Albin together all the time so he was sure she knew what was going on.
I do think most of the family does know or at least suspect. Gabriela made a comment awhile back about Andres' 'strange tastes' and when the twins got into that fight weeks ago with Adan they said it was because he said something to disrespect Andres...of course it could have been something completely different but that's the way the stereotype usually goes.
If Andres did already tell Sara and it went badly somehow I hope we get a flashback so we can see what happened.
Interesting theory about Andrés, Adriana. Did they ever specify when Franco left? How old were the children? This could only work if Franco left a few years ago, but I can't remember if they said when he left. I also agree with Darcy, they should show a flashback if something like this happened.
I realized that the gun guy didn't believe Dimi when he told Sara, but I was too sleepy and forgot to fix it lol.
It is logical that Óscar's first thought wouldn't be "It was Romina!", but I expected him to think this through at night or something and realize it. Definitely not say Jimena is on drugs, though. I actually want them to break up at this point, Jimena deserves better than him.
I can finally distinguish the twins! Thank you for pointing out the hair colour difference, Darcy (it was you, right?), it helped me out a lot.
I'm from Europe. The countries we live in are pretty close, Adriana. I think we have around 2 hours difference, so it must have been around 12 at night for you, correct?
Nevermind, I looked it up. We are 1 hour in front of France. It must have been around 9 at night for you when I posted. I usually sleep at around 8-9, so I was very sleepy at that time.
Thank you Weirdo, Adriana and Darcy for your recaps! They are very smartly written, and your thoughts about the characters and their motivations are excellent! That being said, I’m only going to be reading your recaps for awhile. I can’t take this dark, dark story where only the crazies seem to have the upper hand, and the regular folks are victims. I can’t stand seeing what they’re doing to Jimena, and “Dimi” having his full reign of terror without being checked by anyone. I’d love to see a story where someone has his card completely and plays a game of cat and mouse with the psycho. I’m tired of Romina, how she treats her own son, and how she over powered Jimena so easily. I know they’re setting up Jimena to look crazy, but she can be BAD ASS crazy and not look like such a weakling! I can’t wait till she gives Oscar the boot to his head!
There are no words for Rosario, especially after last night. That must’ve been some powerfully GREAT sex for her to be going over the edge like this! Disgusting! Really goes to show you what kind of Mom ——and person she is. Oscar’s a fool, JD acts more afraid of Rosario than anything, the twins need to tell their father what’s going on, and Gabriela needs to go fall off a cliff or something.
As you can probably tell, this novela is frustrating the crap outta me, lol. But I will be reading your recaps and will return to viewing when you guys say it’s “safe.” Thanks again! Love your recaps! Where is FRANCO!!
Thank you Juanita! Perfect recap of last night’s episode! ( which I got to watch, lol). Seems that things are looking up at the NQH konak now that the mean cuckoo bird Dilsah, is going for the “treatment” that she so clearly needs! I tell you, Azize should be financially responsible for every last person’s mental health fees——except Yaren’s. No matter how much she’s changed, she’s the cause of all of this. The actress portraying Dilsah did a really good job of appearing apathetic, and also being hateful and mean. I won’t miss her though! Lol! She went into the same abyss where Sultana, Aslan and many others have gone…..bye, bye……
Cihanna cracks me up! He-she can’t even hide the petty bitchiness that resides so deeply within it! And even though it admits when it does horrible things, it’s not at all manly, imho. What it does is not coming from a good place, and it wants everyone to pay for it’s unhappiness and the lack of respect it receives from everyone except Handan. Handan I can’t figure out either??? She talks out of both sides of her face, and eggs Cihanna’s jealousy and pettiness on. I thought Handan had finally got a grip on the situation, but alas, not so……..The worker who confronted Cihanna seemed resolute, like he knows something tha Cihanna doesn’t??? I can’t wait till someone puts Cihanna in it’s place!!
Fusun continues to bore me with her threats and “I’m doing this for your own good” crap! Her theme song should be “ I’m gonna make you love me!” She’s always got something up her sleeve though, and doesn’t care if what she does points straight back to her. She’s getting desperate now, and that takes her schemes to a new level. She made it clear that she’s going to attack those that Azra considers her “family.” What now?!?!?
Loved Firat shutting Yaren’s calculating azz down! “Mind your own business,” as she slithered back to her room, lol! “Go Firat!”
Thanks again Juanita! I actually enjoyed this episode!
Wierdo, the recap is terrific for such an awful, dark storyline. I could not watch the demonic, ritual dancing of evil/crazy Romina. Even Jimena’s flash backs are disturbing. Like carmella, I may just read the recaps and wait until it is “safe” to watch. Thank you for the great effort, especially from a different country and time zone. You and Adriana are amazing!
JUANITA: APPRECIATE YOUR EFFORT AND DETAIL....YOU..'SMOKED-IT'...
I MAY BE OLDER...but Reyyan was not LAID-OUT-FLAT-in STIRUPS..and I did not hear the SWOOOHING of SUCTION MACHINE or anybody injecting INDUCTIVE fluid into her cervix...when girl friend was sitting up and cool as a cucumber.. I knew it was a NO-Go...men really do not have a clue??!!!
Cihan the bastard and the soon to be Labor Union leader for collective bargaining I hope that dude is not a FUSUN HENCHMAN..i hoped he is a honest disgruntled worker..-..
Dilsah....you should have taken that gun to the source of your demise. Azize...
and Reyyan , Dilsah ain't never coming back.. she cant stand you...!! reality check!!IF you could Love/Pray Evil away....we wouldn't need jail!!
Carmella: yes..YES YES..Azize....pay the ruck up!!! ... if heifer really wanted to make amends..
........why is the Monied $$ witch still living free and getting servitude out of Esma.....WTF!!!!!!!
#JAILAZIZE
# JAILMADMUTT
#WHEREISHANIFE
I was disappointed (1) that Jimena did not remember that she was grabbed from behind before been drugged by Romina and (2) that both Berta and Oscar were insinuating that her nervousness or medications/drugs caused her to paint her face and tear her dress. They did not even consider that an intruder could have attacked her. I hope the blood test reveal that she was drugged by some substance she has no access to.
Also, last night we were left with a cliffhanger... Hope, Muriel gets to safety before those two zombie like guys get to her.
PDG fan
Weirdo, it was said that the divorce happened 3 years ago, but Franco might have left the family before that. Nobody ever talks about him, not even when Sarita and her kids are not around, so they're probably all talked out on the subject. For such a close family to have one of their own leave, Juan and Oscar must have tried to find out what is going on... but they both seem resigned to the fact that their baby brother is gone. Yeah, so many disturbing stories going on and all we care about is the one story nobody talks about.
Carmella, I was taken aback by all the violence, too, but once I realized it was not the PDG I used to watch 29 years ago with my mom, I was Ok. Now I'm having fun counting the many vicious ways this sequel is written - and the latest attraction is Jimena being turned into an unstable woman... I actually think the writers have a list of horrors and they are checking boxes, trying to throw everythingcat us, waiting to see what will stick.
Juanita, thank you for excellently reporting all the drama.
Dilsah to Rey: " You're sick. "
Rey to Dilsah: " You're sick." Well, I am kind of sick of all these people.
Fu has zero people skills .Amazing that she thinks that she can threaten Azar into coming to live with her by telling her that otherwise she will kill the people whom Azar considers her family.
Fu should have been in that backseat with Dilly going off to the manicomia.
Firat seems to be feeling large and in charge and made short work of dismissing Yaren.ha ha
Does anyone know how many episodes we have to wade through until the end?
Terrific recap Juanita. I really like the Not Quite Hopeless konak! There did seem to be some hope with Dr. Turan coming to the rescue, Dilsah finally going to the manicomio and Firat putting the Yellow Centipede in her place.
It was also enjoyable to see the look on Cihan’s face when Handan asked him why he was going to work.
I could have done without the negativity of Zehra and now we have to deal with her in Istanbul.
It looks like Miran and Hazar were right about the deal Firat proposed causing problems for the other olive growers. Did you get the impression that Cihan was making deals on his own based on that disgruntled employee’s comments?
Thanks again Juanita! This was a good episode that moved the plodding plot along a bit.
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 41, Martes, April 12, 2022, Parte 1/6
Muriel and Rosario are eating. Muriel tells her that she won't join her for the shopping and that she has planned something else. Rosario asks her about Samuel (Muriel's dad) and Muriel tells her that she knows he came back from a trip. Rosi says that he wants to rethink the situation with the two of them. Muriel says "Who know what he means by that", but Rosi tells her she knows and she wants to know if Muriel is on her side or not. Muriel tells her that she's acting like Samuel is going to start a war and Rosi believes so. She says that Sam (I'm tired of typing Samuel) will ruin their lives. Muriel wants to listen to what he has to say and says that he has rights and they do too. Rosi tells her that Sam doesn't care about other people's rights and that he will give Muriel a hard blow that will make her come back to reality. Rosi leaves.
Gabriela is outside of Sarita's house and tells Dimi that Sarita wants to see him. She's suprised and tells Gabriela to come with him. She refuses and he goes alone. I don't get her. Why is she defending him in front of others but is a bit distant when they're alone? She's not completely different, but still.
The doctor Óscar called in the last episode came and is checking Jimena. She doesn't want to go to the hospital and the doctor tells her that he'll try to avoid it. He goes over to Óscar and tells him that she did use some sort of drug (logical, since Romina drugged her), but he's concerned because she was intoxicated with something a little while ago (when Romina told Duvan to put something in Jimena's drink). He still has to wait for the test(s) results, though. Jimena looks like she heard.
Muriel and JD meet up in a cafeteria. Muriel is annoyed because Rosi confronted JD's family. JD says that she may did it because she thought his family would be on her side. Muriel asks him if that's what happened and JD tells her that it did not. Muriel gives JD his ID thing, saying that Rosi gave this to her and told her to return it to him.
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 41, Martes, April 12, 2022, Parte 2/6
Jimena asks Óscar if he's satisfied that he heard what he wanted, that she took some sort of drug. Óscar tells her that he knows she isn't taking drugs(?), but says something about the situation being ____ (subs said "united", no sense again). Then he tells her that he wouldn't throw the people who live in mill house out and Jimena asks him to accompany her. Óscar agrees, but says that she has to rest and he has to work. He's going to finish the situation with the mill house people. They kiss.
JD asks Muriel when did Rosi give her his ID and she says today. (I thought a day has passed?) Muriel tells him that Rosi said he left it when he visited Rosi and JD tells her it's a lie. Muriel asks him if he saw her after they met and JD says "no, why don't you trust me?" Muriel replies that she trusts him, she doesn't trust her mother's intentions. JD tells her that Rosi wants to separate them and they kiss.
Dimi is talking to Sarita. He tells her that he made a mistake coming here so late at night and came to apologize. Sarita said he behaved like a criminal, Dimi laughs (this guy is creepy), but Sarita says that she's serious. Dimi says that he'll tell her the truth, so we know it's a lie. His mom who is "sick" is getting worse, she's almost dead and Sarita was the first person that came to his mind. He says that he doesn't want to pressure her (yeah, right), but tells her to consider seeing him. FRANCO, DÓNDE ESTÁS???
Norma, Juan, the twins and Don Martín are eating. (Why is everybody eating in this and the previous episode? Lol.) Don M says he's happy that he's not living in Gabriela's house, because Dimi is living there temporarily. He doesn't like the things Dominga tells him about Dimi. He asks where JD is and Norma says that's he's been working a lot. Juan asks the twins what's up (they don't exactly look happy) and I think he asks them something with the word "teacher" in it. León says that Jimena is sick and of course Norma leaves the table.
Norma is now at Jimena's and Bertha explains to her how they found her. Bertha brings Norma the suit for Duvan and Norma asks Jimena about it. Jimena tells her about Duvan. She doesn't think he has anything to do with her health, but many things are happening with that family.
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 41, Martes, April 12, 2022, Parte 3/6
Romina calls Madrina on the phone multiple times - no answer. Romina talks a bit about Madrina's grandson. Romina has actually never met him before, but it's Madrina's only family. Duvan asks if he's married and has children and Romina is annoyed because he asked. Ugh, I can't stand her anymore. She calls Madrina again. She doesn't answer.
Madrina has went to Jimena and Óscar's store and asks for Óscar. We learn that Madrina's name is Sandino. I'll still call her Madrina, though. Anyway, Óscar has a meeting and Madrina tells the woman who responded to her questions to inform Óscar that she's from the mill house.
Now the intro song plays. Have I ever mentioned how creeped out I am and how uncomfortable I feel when I see Rosi with JD on the intro scenes? It just feels wrong.
Romina looks at some bottles containing some sort of weird liquids. Duvan asks her what's she searching for and Romina replies that she's searching for "medicine". Now she's annoyed because Duvan is standing there and tells him something like "don't the give you any homework in that school?" Any person who wants children to have homework has lost my respect lol. Duvan leaves.
Óscar goes to see Madrina and asks her how she found the address. She tells him that everyone know the address and that they have to talk. Óscar doesn't want to talk about it in the store and Madrina agrees to meet up where she lives.
Norma is walking with Jimena. Norma tells her that the way Jimena feels about Duvan is norma-l, because she doesn't have any children e.t.c. Jimena says that something is wrong with the people who live in the mill house. For example, Duvan's mother is too old to be his mother. Jimena is annoyed because she can't talk with them, but Norma reminds her that all of this is affecting her mental health. She wants to help her and encourages her to tell her everything.
Sarita, Andrés and Albín are all horse-riding. They get off their horses and sit down outside. Sarita says she likes Albín (she definitely knows something, the way she said it made the difference, I think) and Andrés tells Albín to tell Sara about his plans. Albín wants to make a kennel(?) and Sarita wants to become partners with him! Albín says yes and something like "don't tell Andrés, he's only interested in music". Sarita asks him if that bothers him and he replies that no, he actually likes it. He just wants to see him progress.

Sarita asks him if that bothers him and he replies that no, he actually likes it. He just wants to see him progress. Andrés tells Sarita that they have to tell her something and she says "are you moving to Albín's house, or is he moving to ours?" Yep, as we predicted, she knew. She's cool with it and wants to talk more about the partnership with Albín.
Jimena tries to remember but she can't, she only remembers a "monster" (Romina with the mask) and nothing else. Norma tells her that she will go to talk with the people that live in the mill house. Jimena says that she shouldn't, but Norma insists. Jimena hugs Norma.
Óscar goes to Madrina's house. I don't know if it can qualify as a house, but whatever. Madrina has some candle witchcraft going on. She tells Óscar that she's Romina's madrina and she helps her because she's a passionate(?) person. Her first name is Aida. Óscar says something about his relationship with Romina and Duvan and Madrina says that she can sack Romina out of the mill house, but that's going to cost him.
Rosi is back from her shopping where she bought half the town (Panchita's words, not mine). Now Rosi says something about Óscar and the Reyes and Panchita tells her that she knows she likes one of them. Gunther comes in a few seconds later with MORE shopping bags (am I the only woman that hates shopping? Anyone else?). Rosario doesn't know how she's going to organise all of this and Gunther tells her that Muriel can help her. Rosi says that Muriel isn't here and Gunther says that Muriel's in her room or something similar (subtitles were lagging). Rosi runs to Muriel's room.
Óscar thinks that Madrina is taking advantage of the situation. She denies this. Now Madrina doesn't want Óscar to pay her (maybe for the visit?) Óscar asks "how much time will it take?" Madrina/Aida gets a tarot card and tells him in a month max. Óscar leaves. Madrina's grandson comes to the "house" and sees Óscar leaving.
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 41, Martes, April 12, 2022, Parte 5/6
Grandson questions Madrina about Óscar. Madrina tells him that she has some elegant clients and that she doesn't know his name, she never asks for her clients' names. Grandson leaves because Madrina wants to do her witchcraft things.
Rosi finds Muriel in her room and asks her with a cold face if she had fun with whoever she was with. Muriel says that they are more united than ever, in spite of the attacks. Rosi wants Muriel to explain what she meant.
Norma and Juan are talking about Jimena. Norma says that she's in a very delicate mental state and she thinks she's in the wrong environment. Juan tells her that maybe quitting her modelling career and returning to San Marcos was a mistake. Norma wants to support her sister and Juan tells her to do it, but not interfere with Jimena's life. Norma says that she won't. Juan is worried about JD's relationship with Muriel because of Rosario.
Muriel confronts her mom about going to JD's house. Rosi says that JD is abusive and that he's taking advantage of defenceless girls like Muriel (her words exactly). Muriel asks her if she's also one of them but Rosi says no. Muriel tells her that she's not one as well. JD is not the guy Rosi describes. Rosi gets mad and tells her to renounce JD or she's calling her dad (welcome back to the '50s!) Muriel says that she'll love whoever she wants without Rosi's prohibitions. Rosi tells her to obey her. Muriel calls her envious and resentful and Rosi SLAPS her! She pulls Muriel by her hair(!) and drags her down some stairs. Gunther and Panchita pull them apart while Rosi screams that Muriel can love whoever she wants, away from her life(!) EXCEPT JD, because he's the love of her life! Muriel screams something back and Rosi says to her "No es mi hija, es mi enemiga!" ("You're not my daughter, you're my enemy!") Muriel of course is very upset and sad and leaves. Panchita screams at Rosi.
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 41, Martes, April 12, 2022, Parte 6/6
Muriel is walking on the streets and crying.
Gunther says to Panchita and Rosi that they should look for Muriel, but Panchita says no. Rosi is on the bed. She doesn't care about where her daughter is at all. What a parent.
An employee at the bar asks Andrés if he's seen Muriel. He says no and asks if something happened. The employee leaves.
Bertha tells Óscar that Norma visited Jimena while he was working. Meanwhile, Jimena is hiding the suit she made for Duvan. Óscar gets in and they talk about the exams. No results yet.
Panchita asks Andrés if he's seen Muriel. He says no again and asks if something happened (again). Panchita tells him that Rosi kicked Muriel out and they don't know where she is. Panchita leaves.
Gunther searches in Muriel's room for anything that would show where she could have possibly went. Panchita finds her cell phone and Gunther grabs it out of Panchita's hands.
Andrés calls Albín and tells him about Muriel's disappearance. Albín says he'll come at the bar.
Muriel goes to Jimena and Óscar's shop and knocks on the door. They're not there. Hours pass and Muriel is still knocking. A cop approaches her and asks her why she's knocking. Muriel explains that the owners are her friends and she needs to use a phone to contact them. The cop just asks her name, doesn't give her any phone.
Gunther is at the police station and tells a cop about Muriel's disappearance. He asks if he can do something about it as a personal favour and tells him that it's Rosi's daughter.
The cop tells Muriel to go to the police station and just leaves. Two men approach Muriel and they definitely do not want to ask her for directions. They look as if they want to rape her.
And...
Fin del Capítulo...
Thanks so much, Juanita. I thoroughly enjoyed your well-written recap! Really liked "Take that, Yellow Centipede!" Yes, Firat has discovered his avocados since he married Zeynep.
So..they actually fooled me. It sure seemed like Rey had gone through with the abortion. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, miracle doctor!
I always love it when Miran calls Nasuh abuelo. Remember when Gul showed up in the middle of the night and stood in front of Miran, saving him from being shot by the erstwhile GT, tyrant grandfather?
Fusun is just tiresome. When it comes to villainy, Azize was subtle, in control, always with a master plan. Viewerville was usually privy to what she had up her sleeve, but the others, Miran especially, didn't have a clue about the Puppetmaster. Fusun is just brutal all the time.
I am SO grateful that Miran heard exactly what Dilsah was saying to Reyyan and that Hazar as well observed the danger of the Red Menace.
I've never seen people who take so long to go somewhere. They always announce they're taking a trip somewhere. Sometimes it takes three nights for them to arrive.
The business dealings of these two families are a vast mystery to me. When the fired worker was talking to Cihan about the business dealings having closed the factory, I was wondering if they weren't referring to that olive exportation that was going to harm other growers. But then the factory being closed was apparently a Sadoglu factory. I guess the writers of this dizi (all dizis?) focus on the Amor y Venganza rather than how the ricos got that way. We did get a bit more about the businesses in Fatmagul.
Thank you for your fantastic recap, Weirdo! I so appreciate that you've joined us on the recapping team! I really enjoy seeing the happenings through your eyes and fingers! LOL And I admire you wrestling with bad subtitles to do it.
I think I will keep calling her Madrina too, I've been doing it so long I'd honestly forgotten that wasn't her real name until today! :)
It was so weird that Oscar and the doctor were discussing Jimena - in front of Jimena. That must be a Mexico thing, you couldn't get away with that in the U.S. But if you are going to discuss your patient with her husband in a whisper, why not go into the the other room? It's just awkward. Like talking about someone behind their back in front of their face. I knew a lady who did that but she was a very rude person.
I didn't catch what Albin's business was going to be, but I was glad Andres told Sara about his relationship, not surprised at all that she reacted the way she did because that's just who she is.
When Muriel was asking JD about being with her mom, he said he had never been with her willingly, so that answers the what did he tell her question. He must have just told her the truth about that night and not tried to sugar coat it. What a strange feeling that would be to be in love with the man that your crazy mother was obsessed with and sexually harassing/abusing.
I think the guy with Muriel at the end was a security guard and not a cop, it was so cold of him to just leave when she was called after him! It was also odd that Muriel was standing out on that street by herself waiting for how long, and nothing; but three seconds after the guy leaves those dudes pounce??? They must have been bidding their time. Hopefully Albin is right close by in his car - like right there and he will drive up before they can even get to her. Or Andres is there....Or you know, she could run. They didn't look all that healthy she might be able to outrun them.
I wouldn't say I hate shopping exactly, but I am not a fan. I prefer to buy things online and have them shipped to me. Definitely not one to spend all day at a store or mall; or to buy half the store. Ironically, my brother-in-law can shop circles around me any day of the week! I went Christmas shopping with him last year and I tired out long before he did.
I completely forgot that the show isn't on tonight - even though I was thinking about it earlier in the week. Guess we will have to wait until tomorrow to see Muriel rescued!! She better be rescued!!! I can't take more darkness, really we have enough already.
Thanks very much, Carmella, Halimacandy, Susanlynn, VVS, and novelera, for your terrific comments.
Carmella, I'm delighted to see you back. I always enjoy your comments. Yes, thank goodness, we may finally be rid of Dilsah, at least for a while. I'm not convinced that she's gone for good. My guess is that she'll be "cured" by her treatments and will return for a happy, sappy final episode. And yes, I too have been puzzled and disappointed by Handan. I'm wondering how she will deal with an increasingly desperate Yaren. As for Cihan, he gives both men and women a bad name, so I like your solution of "it."
Halimacandy, I love your comments, though I often disagree with them, especially about Azize. I agree that some of what she did is really almost impossible to forgive, but she's certainly trying impressively hard to make amends. (However, if I had been Reyyan, I probably wouldn't have given a 2nd chance to either Azize or Miran.) As for the non-abortion scene, I've never had or even witnessed an abortion, but I was surprised that the setting seemed so casual. I guess I expected more of an operating-room setting.
Susanlynn, I loved your "Well, I am kind of sick of all these people." Make that two of us! And yes, yes, yes, "Fu should have been in that backseat with Dilly going off to the manicomia." Amen!
VVS, I too thought this was an above-average episode that did an admirable job of moving the plot along. First there was Dr. Turan's call, and then Dilsah's finally being hauled off to the manicomio. Yes, I'm still not wild about Zehra, but I appreciate her defending Reyyan so strongly (including her attempt to get rid of Dilsah). Perhaps her presence in Istanbul will turn out to be helpful. Perhaps.
Novelera, I too was immensely relieved when Miran appeared as Dilsah was delivering her dreadful rant. And, as you say, Hazar too recognizes that she's a VERY troubled woman. Heck, even her mother sees this. Some people feel that we've seen the last of Dilsah. I wouldn't be unhappy if that turns out to be true, but my guess, as I said above to carmella, is that she'll be back for the HEA conclusion. For some reason, I can't forget Reyyan's super sappy dream (from umpteen episodes ago) where everyone is happy and getting along well with both friends and former enemies. And the business dealings are a mystery to me too, as they seem to be as well to the people involved.
Something is wrong with my posting thing. I'm trying to post but it doesn't let me. Even if you see this, though, it may glitch again, so...
I'll respond to everyone's comments, both from yesterday's recap and the previous one.
Monday's episode:
Carmella and VVS, thank you for your kind words! The story is pretty dark and is getting darker each episode. I personally don't have a problem with it, but that's just my opinion. I haven't watched the first season, so maybe that's why I'm okay with it. Since the first one wasn't dark, it may have been a shock that the second season is.
PDG fan, I was also disappointed exactly with the same things as you. Jimena is definitely NOT a weakling. And what was the whole 'drug' think? What were Bertha and Óscar thinking? They KNOW Jimena! Surely they wouldn't believe that she took drugs immediately and AT LEAST not consider that someone ELSE may have done it!
Adriana, it's true, Franco might have left before the divorce. Speaking of him, WHERE IS FRANCO? We don't have many episodes left, he should already be here by now!
You mentioned watching the first season with your mom. I'm currently watching telenovelas with my mom and it's very fun. I persuaded her to watch and we've watched La Patrona, La Doña (1+2), Santa Diabla and Falsa Identidad (still watching) together. I really like it!
Tuesday's episode:
Darcy, thank you very much! It's true, the subtitles are horrible. Sometimes they annoy me more than Romina and Óscar and THAT'S saying something. I feel like I'm whining about the subtitles way too much xD
It was very rude to discuss about Jimena in front of her. What was that about?
My subtitles actually showed that JD said that he was never with Rosi willingly, but I forgot to add it. Ugh!
The fact that the man who talked to Muriel was a security guard and not a cop just made his attitude worse. Jimena should fire him. I hope Muriel stays safe! I think that she will though, except if the writers want to make the story even darker. Someone (VVS, I think) said that writers have a list of dark events and tick the ones they're using. Spot on!
Weirdo, thanks for another great recap despite the horrible, horrible subtitles, lol! You mentioned that this novela won’t be a long one, so I’m guessing, like Adriana said, the writers will be throwing in everything including the kitchen sink! I didn’t expect this sequel to be exactly like the first, but I did expect “growth” and not regression. The original had it’s baddies, and intolerable behavior, but this version boarders on “sick.” There has absolutely been no growth in Gabriela or Rosario, and I can’t reiterate how they’re regressing Jimena’s character. She was somewhat of a spitfire, and now shivers with fear when the wind blows. They’re also focusing on abuse and giving Mom’s and G-Mom’s a bad name, as in Romina, Rosario, and yes, still Gabriela. She shows no faith or caring to her own family where Dimi is concerned.
The major storylines around just about everyone are dark, evil and abusive. Romina and Dimi are so evil that there’s nowhere else for them to go but die. Rosario needs to go to a mental health facility, and I can’t root for any man here but Juan Sr—— and I do like Albin. Andres is a good guy too…….
I am curious about how things will turn out, but I can guess. Again, I will continue to read the fabulous recaps and tune in again at some point….. for now I need a break from this cursed story, lol……
I think we can all agree all the women are treated badly.
Jimena was very feisty as a young woman. But I guess we needed to have an emotionally unstable character and it absolutely had to be a woman (eye roll).
Gaby and Norma have their own personal stalkers - can't wait to see what kind of nastiness awaits them... NOT!
Sarita... she's already gone through the worst when she lost Franco - I guess her true story will start when he's back (WHEN?)
Muriel is OK, if we don't count the crazy momma, and the fact that she was probably abused as a child. Because Felix and Adela being abused as kids was not enough, and don't forget Duvan, too - with the added bonus that we actually get to witness the whole thing live.
Rosario is as obsessive as before, only now she's 20 years older and with that comes a stronger shade of desperation.
Romina is a nightmare... Slutty, bad mother, bruja and the list goes on...
And Gabriela is by far the worst. Fernando was a saint compared to Dimi - Gabs definitely has a type.
Yes, the major storylines are dark and disturbing. I hope Franco comes back soon and Dimi/Romina/both die already.
Yes, all the women are treated very badly in this telenovela. I want the writers to bring a badass female character to uncover Dimi! And make the rest of the women less passive! They made almost each woman mad, evil, weak, with no personality or a combination of them! I also don't like the fact that they want Sarita's story to start when Franco comes back. She's her own person and I would want to see more of her! The one that I actually like is Muriel. Norma is alright, Gaby is fine but I find her annoying from time to time and I like Jimena, but they've made her weak, which I definitely do not like. I also didn't like when she asked Duvan if he ripped her dress. The poor kid! His mother's insane and abusive, his dad is a butt-hole and his friend accused him of ripping her dress! Yes, I know, Jimena regretted it, but she's an adult; she should have thought before she acted. But anyway... I hope this telenovela improves with time. Sometimes writing a sequel is more difficult than writing the first season. They are professionals though and we expect the best from them.
Some days of the week after the next one [25-29/4, right after the (Orthodox) Easter], I won't be able to recap. I don't know if I will even be able to check the recaps. I'm informing you guys so you can talk days for recapping (*looks at Adriana and Darcy*).
Not sure what those not on the West Coast might have seen, but Telemundo showed one of those review episodes, actually a partial one. My DVR recorded lots of Exatlon, then about a half hour of Dilsah's Greatest Hits. Don't know why they did that, but I watched her refuse to accept that Miran was her son, threaten Reyyan, stab Azize, dye her hair red, and tell Reyyan to get ready to die so Azra and Miran could marry AT HER WEDDING!
