Mi Fortuna es Amarte #32 Mon.4/11/22

 Hey, JudyB,

I see you out on the patio. It is still a little chilly so stay close to a heat lamp. Hope you enjoyed this episode.

Jarifa

1. Tavo and Chole disappear into the boarding house kissing all the while.

2. Natalia wants to know why Regina has decided to leave the house when she thought  everything was okay. Regina explains it is because of Andrea who is not doing well at all. Natalia insists that Andrea must need her, too, so she should be looking for a new place for the three of them to stay. Regina has to tell her mother one more time that Andrea is not leaving her aunt's house but maybe Natalia could help watch over her while she is expecting. A tearful Natalia explains she is trying to understand but she cannot deal with the fact that her little girls are leaving. She asks if Connie agrees with her coming to stay with her sister. Regina says Connie doesn't know  yet but she doesn't care because she is not going to leave Andrea alone. Natalia grabs her and kisses her on the head.

3. At the beauty shop, Chente arrives wanting go talk  to Olga who is waiting for JuanGa. He says that JuanGa is all excited about her. She admits that JuanGa has been very loving and committed. Chente  heard that JuanGa wants to marry her but she told him they had to take it step by step. He agrees with her in taking it slow.  She tells Chente the truth is that she wants to make sure of what is going on so she doesn't end up getting hurt like she did with him when her hopes were dashed. Chente says it was never his intention to hurt her. He just didn't feel about her like she hoped he would. He wants to turn the page and leave that all in the past.  Chente thinks could she and Juanga could make it as a couple  and hopes they can have as lovely a relationship as he had with his Lucía. He adds that fighting for love is something that is worthwhile. He repeats it as he thinks about his own situation.

4. JuanGa is busy getting dressed to go out with Olga. He has a hard time finding something appropriate or something that doesn't stink so he sneaks into Mario's room and helps himself out of his closet.

5. In London, Omar is looking at a photo of Andrea and is missing her.

6. Andrea is crying in her bed thinking about Omar.

7. Omar finally grabs his phone and calls Samia asking if she could give him some phone numbers. His father deleted all of his contacts he had from before on the new phone he gave him and has restricted it so he cannot even get on the the internet.  He wants Connie's number so he can talk to Andrea. Elías walks in as Samia is telling him he has to go on with his life. He and Andrea are on different frequencies. The best thing to do is  to forget about her once and for all. Elías grabs the phone as Omar says he will not be okay until he talks to Andrea. Elías tells him that Andrea found out that he is a coward who fled after killing a woman. She doesn't want to hear from him again because he is a murderer. Omar is reminded of his reality and hangs up.

8. Olga is impressed with JuanGa in Mario's shirt and suit coat. Mario comes in with Vale,  recognizes his clothes and is not happy.  Juanga moves fast enough out the door with Olga that they avoid a confrontation.

9. Mario starts to complain to Vale but she is in no mood to hear about it. She is feeling great and  invites him out to supper to a place where they can get huitlacoche (corn fungus) and flor de calabaza (squash blossoms.) She grabs his arm and he has no choice but to go along.

10. Tavo and Chole are kissing in the dark of her room when  he tells her how she brought  hope and love  back into his life.  He is going to dedicate himself to making up  for the time they missed and  make her the happiest woman ever. She explains that after her Pancho she had promised to never fall in love again but Tavo  won her with the way he treated her and the attention he paid to her. He is a  man of value and  he is never to doubt that. He tells her that his future is with her. She answers that hers is with him. They end up hot and heavy in her bed.

11. Natalia has brought Regina over to stay with Andrea for a few days.  Andrea is happy that her sister is there. Natalia decides to take advantage of the three of them being together to tell them that their father is back in Mexico.  She explains that he came back but not of his own free will. The authorities apprehended  him and he is in prison.

12. In Connie's car outside of the rooming house,  Simba shows Connie all of the photos of Tavo smooching with Chole on the street.  Connie wants him to send the photos to her cellphone so her lawyer can use them against Tavo. Simba adds that that Tavo and Chole are inside the rooming house right now. She can catch them in the act if she wants. She and Simba get out of her car.

13. Regina asks if Vero is in jail, too. Natalia explains that their father said that Vero betrayed him and ended up with all of the money they stole together.  Regina can see the irony in it saying he got some of his own medicine. When Andrea finds out that Natalia saw him, she only wants to know if he asked about her . . . and her sister. Natalia says he asked about both of them and said  that he loved them both and missed them. Regina cannot take it and calls him a liar.  An overwrought Andrea presses Natalia for anything else he might have said. Did he explain why he hurt them all? Did he look like he was sorry for what he did? Natalia says he did swear he was sorry  but she is not about to accept that because everything he has done since he has left is lie and he acts as if they haven't mattered to him at all.

14. Connie is seated in the common area of the rooming house. 2XJosé arrives and she asks him where Regina is since they are so inseparable. He says  she must be at his brother's house with  her mom. Connie explains that she is waiting to talk to  her husband but he is with Chole. She looks at one of the photos that Simba took and expresses her disgust. 2XJosé has no idea what is going on until Connie asks him for a glass of water while she is waiting for Tavo to finish attending to his lover. He goes for the water. Connie sits and waits.

15. Chole and Tavo are snuggling in bed both having enjoyed "heaven" in their lovemaking.  They continue on . . .

16. At the supper table at Chente's house, Chente asks about Regina leaving. He thought she was happy here. Tere explains the reason she left was to be with her sister.  Chente says Natalia must not be happy. Tere agrees and notices that Ben isn't happy with the news of Regina leaving either. Chente explains how many things Regina did with Ben. Tere tells Ben not to be sad because his guardian angel is always with him and her grandaughter will not forget him.  Claudio thinks they should all go to live at Connie's since she is showing such generosity. Tere has to remind him that they are not included in the generosity.

17. Chente gets a phone call from a nervous 2XJosé filling him in on Connie saying she is waiting for Tavo to finish attending to Chole. He doesn't know what to do. Chente tells him not to do a thing. He will take care of it.

18. Chente calls Tavo to let him know that Connie is  at the rooming house. Chole is nervous hearing that Connie is there and tells Tavo to go out the back way. Tavo says no.  He is not about to start hiding what they did. He is going to see what Connie wants and demand that she leave them in peace.

19. Tere has overheard the phone call and has decided she is going over to deal with Connie since she knows how she is. She tells Claudio that she is going on her own. Granny Magos takes charge of Ben.

20. Regina and Andrea are now alone and talking about their father. Andrea thinks they have to go and see him. She wants to believe that he is sorry and that he has missed them. Regina holds out no hope that their father has changed and tells her so. Andrea wonders how long he is going to be in jail. Regina hopes that it  is going to be a life sentence. That upsets Andrea. Regina asks if she is not aware of how corrupt and dishonest he is. Andrea thinks she sounds like she hates him. Regina admits that she does and doesn't want to see him.  Andrea asks if she doesn't even miss him a little bit. He is their father after all. Sobbing, Andrea tells her about how much  she misses him. The sisters hug each other.

21. Natalia tells Fernanda about how worried she is about her daughters' reaction now that they have found out  about their father. She herself is feeling confused. It wasn't easy seeing him after everything that happened. Fernanda asks her if she believes him; if she believes that he is sorry; does she still love him? An angry Natalia says that he hurt her and she will never trust him again. He killed any love she ever had for him but he is the father of her daughters and they had a right to know that he was in jail. Fernanda is betting that Andrea will want to go see him.  Natalia admits she has no right to stop them with him being their father. Natalia tells Fernanda that there is so much going on in her head, she feels like she is going crazy. Everyday, there is one more problem to deal with. Now Regina is going to stay with her sister at Connie's. Her two daughters are gone but it helps her sadness knowing that they are supporting each other and are together. Next, Natalia tells her about Connie and Tavo breaking up.  That is no surprise to Fernanda who saw him kissing someone else. Natalia informs her that Connie had cheated on him, too. What bothers Natalia is that  her girls are now living in the middle of a war to the death. Natalia adds that  she feels like her head is going to explode.

22. Tere tries to convince Connie to go home and not cause a scene. Connie tells her no worries because she is a lady not a whore like Chole. She isn't going to move until she has the chance to talk to Tavo.

23. Tavo has overheard her as he walks out into the common area and announces that he indeed has arrived.

24. Fernanda tells Natalia to have patience and things will get better. Natalia says she tries to tell herself that but it is hard when it is one thing after another. She says if it just were her she wouldn't care but it affects the people that she loves the most. She feels like she is failing everyone. Fernanda tells her that she needs to clear her mind,  think with a cool head and recharge her batteries. She suggests that she take off a few days from thinking about all of her problems and that Natalia go and spend some time  at her parents' cabin in Valle Bravo. Natalia doesn't see that as a possibility.  Fernanda tells her that if she doesn't relax,  her body will make her pay. Does she have any idea of the number of people who end up hospitalized for the side effects of stress? Fernanda tells her she can take her car and spend a couple of days and think about her options. Natalia comments that is the only thing she does all the time is think about how to move on. Now she has to restart her dessert business and look for other customers. Fernanda reminds her she has that under control and will be getting her a contract with the cafeterias at the hospital. Fernanda understands what Natalia is talking about and insists that Natalia needs to be in a peaceful place. What is more Natalia can pay her back for all of the favors she has done for her by staying at her parents' place. Natalia starts to laugh calling her tricky. Fernanda will not take NO for an answer.  Natalia finally gives in with a big smile.

25. Connie asks Tavo where his lover is. Isn't she going to come out and greet her? She is so rude! Tavo asks why she came. Connie says she isn't there to  complain but she wants to talk to him. She asks Tere to leave them alone.

26. Connie asks how could he judge her so harshly about what she did with William when he is doing exactly the same thing. Tavo says there is no comparison. She asks if it is because she is a woman. He says no. The fact of the matter is that he didn't hook up with just anybody who ended up taking  pictures of him in bed.  She looks momentarily embarrassed. Tavo explains that he fell in love and didn't try to be close to her just for pleasure. He doubts that she had a real relationship with that guy (William). He tells her that what she did was disgusting. She thinks that him being in love with woman like Chole is disgusting. He says they have nothing to talk about except their divorce.

27. JuanGa has taken Olga out to a roof top restaurant complete with live music. She likes the dessert but has to tell him how wonderful that dessert was that he treated he to the other day. He tells her that Natalia had made it. That turns her mood foul. She asks him why did he have to tell her that. It is so nasty! If she would have known she would have thrown it in the garbage. He cannot believe she has such anger for Natalia. Well, yes she does! Olga tells him that Natalia did so many rude things to her that it is hard to forget them easily. Juanga wonders if the real reason is that she still has it bad for Chente and maybe that is why she doesn't want to marry him. Olga cannot lie. His brother left a hole in her heart that isn't so easy to fill. JuanGa is willing to take her away from all of this. She asks about him still loving Chole. He admits that he will always love her  but the time has come to move on and she needs to do the same with Chente. He says they can start from zero together and try to be happy. She finally agrees not to waste this opportunity and they kiss.

28. Tavo asks Connie not to do this the hard way. They can get a divorce by mutual consent. He isn't so mean as to bring up  her infidelity.  Connie doesn't miss the chance to  show him the proof of HIS infidelity.  He asks where she got the photos. She informs him that Néstor/Simba the new manager of her car repair shop gave them to her. Tavo cannot believe it. He fired Simba because he was stealing. Connie says no. He explained it all to her. It was a misunderstanding. Since it is her shop, she will put Simba in Tavo's position. Tavo calls her crazy. He says the business is his. He started the garage with the help of his father. Connie reminds him that she saved it from  being seized, put it in her name so now she owns it. She advises  him to empty his stuff out of  the office and  to work as the mechanic that he is. Connie will not listen to reason and makes it clear she doesn't care if Simba runs it into the ground. He pledges to get his shop back. She threatens to leave him with nothing. He informs her that he was only going to ask for his shop in the divorce but now he is going to ask for everything that is his due. She would like to know what that is since not even one peso belongs to him. Tavo reminds her of one detail she must have forgotten about. When they first met and she had not yet received her great inheritance, he asks her who was the one who insisted that they get married with the stipulation of  "accumulated marital assets."  He tells her that is a big mistake she is going to regret for the rest of her life. As she leaves, she tells him if he wants a war, he is going to have one.

29. As JuanGa flirts with Olga, she closes her eyes and imagines it is Chente telling her everything she always wanted to hear.  While in her trance, she ends up telling JuanGa that yes, she wants to marry him. JuanGa's  celebration of her finally saying "yes" brings Olga back to reality. She stands in shock and silent as an exuberant JuanGa enjoys the special serenade from the band for the newly engaged couple.

30. Tavo goes back to Chole's. She never knew that Connie had been unfaithful to him. He didn't want to involve her or for her  to find out the way she did. Chole tells him he is a great guy and she is so proud of him. He sees her as his strength and is sure it will all work out fine. He is going to have to put up with Simba for now but is going to work at whatever just to keep track of what is happening. Nobody is  going to ruin his business.  He swears he will get it back.

31. Mario and Vale come in. Tavo didn't know Mario was staying there and informs them all he is separated from Connie and will be their new neighbor if Chole accepts them starting their new life together. Chole says of course! Mario is shocked to see Tavo tell Chole she is the love of his life.  Vale smiles.

32. Chente makes Natalia a cup of coffee. He tells her he just found out that Regina left the house. Natalia  says that she always knew it was coming but never expected it to be like this. Her little girls have left her. Chente doesn't believe that. They will always be there because she is a great mother. It is a fact of life.  Natalia says she still wants to take care of them. Her life will be so lonely without them. Chente says not with all of them around her.  She also  has good news from Fernanda. Granny Magos will most likely have an appointment with a specialist next week.  Chente says he will always be grateful to her and her friend for giving his grandma the attention that she needs. Natalia says she did it because of the great affection she has for Granny Magos. She also lets Chente know that she is going to be gone for a few days to get her head together so she can continue to fight for a better life for her and her daughters.  Chente thinks that is a great idea. Natalia is worn out and excuses herself to go to her room.

33. Granny Magos tells Ben that Natalia is going to be sad with her daughters gone. She asks Ben to help her make Natalia happy.  Ben  nods in agreement. Grann Magos thinks they have to hug her a lot when they see her so her little heart feels better. They pray together and she blesses Ben before he goes to sleep.

34. On the way home, JuanGa is talking to Olga about getting a better job and buying a house  for the two two of  them, a church for the wedding, etc.  He wants to get "friendlier" now that they are engaged but Olga tells him she is doing it the old fashioned way: no sex until they are married. He wants to make her the happiest woman in the world. He kisses her but she only goes through the motions.

35. Natalia cries in the dark of her room about her girls being gone. There is a knock at the door. It is Ben with a stuffed animal. She asks if he needs something. Ben nods. Natalia asks if he wants to sleep with her. He nods again and smiles. She prepares a special place for him in bed. She lifts and places him in the bed along with his stuffed bunny. She closes the door to keep the drafts out, turns out the light, gets into bed and holds Ben in her arms.

36. The next morning, Chente  is surprised that Ben isn't in his room.  He checks with granny Magos. No, Ben didn't sleep with her. Chente knocks at Natalia's door and opens it only to see Natalia and Ben sleeping head to head in the bed. Granny Magos appears and asks Chente what else does he need to know about Natalia to prove to  him that she is the right woman for him to restart his life with. They both smile looking at Natalia and Ben.  Granny Magos suggests they let them sleep in a bit and for her and Chente  to go down and fix a really good breakfast.

37. JuanGa wakes up 2XJosé. It is time to get ready to go to work. JuanGa is singing Olga's praises but 2XJosé want him to be careful. JuanGa says Olga accepted his proposal last night. 2XJosé isn't happy to hear that.

38. Natalia wakes up to Ben staring at her. They are both smiling until Natalia realizes how late it is. They overslept. She jumps out of bed ready to give him a bath and get him dressed for school. Then there s breakfast.

39. Chole is happy and singing as she makes breakfast. A serious Olga come into the kitchen. Chole tells her about Tavo getting a divorce and having come to live with her. Chole never thought she would be living through such a happy time in her life. She is walking on clouds and nothing Olga can tell her will ruin that. As soon as Tavo is divorced they are going to get married and have a child. She cannot wait to have his child. Olga also has good news for her. She and JuanGa got engaged last night. Chole asks how is she supposed to believe that Olga is just dying to be JuanGa's wife when Olga doesn't even believe it herself.

40. Down in the dining room, Granny Magos says that Ben looked like a little angel in Natalia's arms.  Chente  reminds her that they need to remember that Natalia is just passing through. Granny Magos doesn't want to hear that out of his mouth again. Chente insists he is only being realistic. Granny Magos advises him to tell Natalia what he is feeling already. He thinks it is too late for that since Natalia has made up her mind to get her business going and rent a place for her and her daughters. Granny Magos asks him why he is so thick headed about rebuilding his life. He needs to fight for this marvelous woman who adores his son. Chente says it isn't that easy. There is still the memory of Lucía. Granny Magos tells him he has to let that go sooner or later. Life must go on. He knows but cannot get rid of the feeling that he is betraying Lucía. Granny Magos understands. Lucía died but he and  Ben are alive. Granny Magos knows that Lucía would want both him and Ben to be happy. She knows that he and Lucía shared several wonderful years together and he will always have them in his heart. That being said, he and Ben deserve the chance to have a home.

Jarifa, thank you once again for another great recap!

We should all have friends like Fernanda, sisters like Regina, and should never have even met people like Adrián, Elías, Verónica, or Tania. I'm half inclined to add Andrea to the list. Sammie is OK, someone to talk about and we could all agree that she is a total nut job.

Constanza is a very nasty piece of work. I hope Tavo can keep Claudio sober enough to do some decent lawyering. But do none of these people, Tavo, Chole, Natalia, and more, not ever think to have a few pesos in the bank in their own names? Sheesh!

Poor Olga looked shell shocked when she came out of her little dream of Chente to find that she had just told Juanga that she wanted to marry him. Poor thing   :-)

I love Chole, and like Tavo, and hope they get together and live happily ever after. Even have a kid or two if that's what they want. How old is Tavo? 25, 30?

It is slightly annoying that Chente and Natalia are taking so long to get together, but then I remember that he just suddenly and unexpectedly lost his wife, and that Natalia was betrayed and abandoned by her husband who left her holding a bag of debts. We just have to be patient.

OT (very)

For anybody who, like me, suffers with arrested development and is really still just an eight year-old kid I can recommend "Albertano contra los Monstros" which Uni has been putting on Sunday nights at 10 PM ET. I only started watching it yesterday so I missed the first few episodes and have had to piece together what it's all about.

Albertano (the longer-haired guy of "Nosotros los guapos") seems to live/work in some sort of poor folks home run by a priest in a historic religious building... something like that.

Gorgeous but "evil" Lola D’Bo, who has a tall white bouffant hair 'something' atop her jet black hair is head of a beauty/fashion company whose headquarters are a huge modern skyscraper with a pair of enormous red lips out front. Any resemblance to Cruella de Vil is certainly intentional.

Anyway, hot Lola is obsessed with youth and beauty. Her own mostly. She wants access to youth and eternal beauty and the secret to these might just be found in the cellar of the home where Albertano, et al, live. There, unknown to most people, is Casilda, a 400 year old wretched ugly witch chained in the cellar in a walled-off secret room. Lola and her swishy (just for fun) male assistant ("Donovan") free her and bring her back to company HQ, where she transforms into a hot red-haired, green-eyed Babe. Still a witch, just a really hot one now; but women didn't wear high heels back 400 years ago and Donovan has to model how to walk in heels, wearing a pair of to-die-for beige pumps... not that I know or care anything about women's shoes, mind you.

Later Donovan also tries on a pleated mini-skirt.

There was a lot more, for instance Albertano, with a friend and a six year-old boy go to retrieve something or other (OK, I didn't understand quite a bit of this; so sue me :) from Cruella, er, Lola.

They enter the parking garage under Lola's building but are stopped by a female security guard. The six year-old, with a false mustache, flirts with the lady security guard and she lets them in. They make their way through the ventilation ducts, and Casilda turns Donovan into a white lab rat, complete with teeny tiny pleated skirt, to chase Albertano in the duct work.

At the episode's conclusion, Albertano with the rat, whose name is Goyito, tells us no rats were harmed in filming and that we should take good care of our pets and other animals.

Incidentally, gorgeous and deliciously "evil" Lola D’Bo is played by Maribel Guardia, do check her out on Wikipedia.

I really don't know if this show is intended for real kids or for those of us slipping into our second childhoods, but I found it to be great fun. Good-looking women overacting, cute rats, sexy shoes, and no actually evil murderers; what's not to like?

Andy

Jarifa: Howdy from the Alamo City. Good Job on the recap of last night's episode.

Jarifa: Chantal Andrade is the Queen of Antagonists in the Telenovela World.

Steve Boudreaux

"SOS"/OT:

Andy: Have you've seen the Daytime Telenovela with Daniel Arenas & Iran Castillo ?

Steve Boudreaux

Andy, yup, I agree that those writers are going to keep playing with us for a while yet until Natalia and Chente get together but I am hoping for a happy ending with maybe even a wedding! I could go on about protagonists having almost no time together since I am still very disappointed in the bummer of a series finale of “Killing Eve” that aired on Sun. but I will spare you. Sometimes the “formulaic” as in telenovelalandia is A-okay. It is formulaic for a reason: like a happy ending. “Shell shocked” is the perfect descriptor for Olga. I wonder how she plans on wheedling her way out of the engagement so she can continue her pursuit of Chente. She certainly has not given that up. Thank you for the recommendation and info for “Albertano contra los monstros.” It sounds like it could be fun.

Steve, thank you for the information on Chantal Andrade. This is the first time I have seen her and she seems to be a real pro at being the antagonista. No, I have not seen “S.O.S. Me estoy enamorando.” Too bad they didn’t save it for an evening slot.

A lovely moving short story Jarifa. I watched the episode On Demand while reading your superb recap. Perfect!

Natalia snuggling so sweetly with Benja would melt the hardest heart. Wounded to the quick, she nevertheless retains her kindness and her ability to love.

I was similarly touched by Granny Magos speaking so tenderly with Benja.

Connie will be a formidable enemy. She’s already moved to strip Tavo of his position, the next logical step would be to fire Chloe, which I fervently hope doesn’t happen. I’m starting to feel a bit sorry Willie will no longer be around to keep her in check.

Juanga cleans up nicely. I thought Olga seemed to be having fun in their scenes together.

Chente’s sweet nature and his grown up version of Benja’s hair are endearing.

Vale is a sweetheart, but a very young sweetheart. I’m not really feeling her and Mario yet but hope that changes.

The flor de calabaza (squash blossoms) sound delicious. I reserve judgement about the huitlacoche (corn fungus) :)

As you noted Andy, “we should all have friends like Fernanda, sisters like Regina.” I’ll add friends like our dear Judy, mothers like Regina and Grandmothers like Granny Magos.

Jarifa, thank you for unfailingly gifting us with your beautifully written recaps. Gracias, amiga.

Diana

O/T

Andy thanks for the 411 on "Albertano contra los Monstros".

"Casilda turns Donovan into a white lab rat, complete with teeny tiny pleated skirt..." sounds like a lot of fun, something we can all use now.

Funny, Soltero featured had a cute little white rat as well. Glad they included the PSA. As I had my share of gerbils and guinea pigs over the course of my life, I am very fond of these little creatures - no jumping on tables for me!

Enjoy!

Diana

Jarifa, thank you for every detail . At least we got some good with the bad . The scenes of Ben with Nat, Abuela, and Chente are so sweet. I hope Olgar stays away from Ben. If she starts terrorizing him again ,I hope that someone ( wacky Juan?) Catches her.

My dad grew acres of the best , most delectible sweet corn around , but if corn fungus is that black stuff that sometimes grew on the cobs...no thanks.

OT....judyb...hello , mi amiga. Here come some very Good vibes )))))))

OT...thanks for the Andygram about that show, but I think I will pass. I am just finishing up Amor Eterno reruns in the afternoon, so I need a break.

Thanks, everyone, for stopping by the patio.

Diana, that is such a true statement about why Willie could be missed. That made me smile. I was happy though to hear that Tavo might have an advantage over Connie legally. I just hope that whatever lawyer he chooses (sure hope he doesn’t go with Claudio) manages his case correctly.

Susanlynn, yes, there was some good last night. I am glad that they gave time to the homespun scenes with Natalia/ Ben/Chente and Granny Magos. I sure hope that Olga leaves Ben alone but I do not think that is going to happen since she hasn’t given up on Chente and with being JuanGa’s novia it will give her even more excuses to be around the family.

Thanks, Jarifa. Great job.

Enjoying all the comments. Andy, I'll check out the Sunday night comedy.

Ooof! JuanGa, why do you have smelly clothes in your closet? Hombre, don't put them back, clean them. That said, I do like JuanGa's kissing style. He moves in slow and easy. Some TV galans could learn from him.

Yay, Tavo has thrown down the gauntlet and he's not retreating. This is shaping up to be the messiest divorce ever.

Thanks, Jarifa, great detailed recap. I am now team Tavo and hope he takes Connie for everything she’s got. Can’t believe she hired the guy he fired, who’s a thief and would be murderer. I also hope Chole gets pregnant since Connie is always blaming Tavo for their lack of kids. Also hope William had a partner who will appear eventually! I want that video out there!

Adrian obviously favored Andrea. Did he even ask about Regina in the jail? All his flashbacks were of his “princess”.

The scene with Ben and Natalia was so sweet. They need each other.

Niecie, Hmmm . . I will have to give JuanGa’s kissing technique a looksee. ; )

Liz, Chole ending up pregnant would be the best. Adrián is disgusting.

OT

Steve, yes, I did check out "SOS". Susanlynn mentioned it once as well. I thought it seemed nice, most especially Jorge Salinas's crotchety blind man character.

In one scene he goes into a café where he is known and not much liked, orders coffee, then complains it is leftover coffee. The waitress brings him a fresh cup, into which she has maliciously poured salt; this he downs and pronounces as excellent coffee, giving the waitress a large tip for the good service. She was left wondering "What the heck?", and so was I. But I thought he could be fun, and he did "blind" really well. I think the guy can act.

But the rest of it seemed very much like a run of the mill telenovela, and the eye candy was not great, so I stopped recording it after two episodes. YMMV.

Susanlynn, I understand, too many telenovelas can make us crazy. Albertano does have long hair, but no horsies, so maybe not for you   :-)

Speaking of eye candy, according to Wikipedia the actress Maribel Guardia who plays hot, hot, but over-the-top-evil Lola D’Bo is 62 years old. Amazing what you can do with good genes and good makeup.

Of course, we also have Tavo and Chole wanting to put one in the oven in MFEA.

Andy

OT...Andy, yes, I enjoy the longhaired guys , and if they are riding horses, all the better. It seems that the Turkish dizis draw a lot of actors and actresses who were models first. The ladies here at crazy used to refer to Fermando Colunga as TBLMOE ( the best looking man in earth) , but I have to report that there are a couple Turkish actors who are vying for his title.

Jarifa, Fernando Colunga was a good kisser . He could have taught a class. I think you can tell when the actors and actresses kissing are actually enjoying themselves . There's a chemistry.
