Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #111
Part 1 of 3
Yaren harasses Firat and Zeynep on their way out the door. Firat tells Zeynep to ignore her and he waits for her in the car as she goes for her purse. Yaren has another delusional episode telling Seyda that she is the woman of the house and demands he call her that. She also wants to make immediate changes to the living room and to plan all the meals moving forward. She is going to “show” Zeynep who the real woman is.
At the olive grove picnic, ReyMir watch Umut sleep and think how long they wished for this day. The struggles to get here were certainly worth it. He is their hope moving forward. (IF we ever get to the end, this kid is going to be a spoiled brat).
Fu meets with her attorney and chastise him for not getting her out of jail. He tells her there will be a trial and then she will go to prison (where is she now?). She no longer has her cane with her and can’t threaten to break his nose so she just spits her venom at him. Apparently, he is supposed to talk to Halit and tell him to take her enemy to the place where her heart burned most. Alone, she has one of novelera’s favorite self-talks (JK 😊) as we see more of ReyMir at the olive grove, she thinks how she will get even with Azize and kill her most favored: Miran.
After the picnic, Miran takes Rey and Umut to a photo studio. He wants a professional family photo. I have to laugh at his continued arrogance as he looks in the mirror to fix his hair (get rid of the bangs!) and then poses throughout the photo shoot.
Cihan arrives at the Sadoglu main offices. He looks at the main recycling yard and remembers Hazar hugging him. In the office lobby, he remembers Hazar telling him off for being such and idiot, even shoving a gun in his had so Cihan could shoot him, then he slaps Cihan. Firat interrupts the memory-regret lane and invites him upstairs to talk.
At the Hope konak (we don’t seem AS hopeless anymore) Ayise and Lutfu are moving everything out of Umut’s baby room. Miran planned this so Reyyan could decorate and organize it the way she wants. (Hey, is anyone visiting Dilsah? No one has even mentioned her. She hasn’t even met Umut). Rey is happy at first but then concerned when she sees men from the factory there helping move things out. She chastises Miran for allowing strangers into the house. She takes the constantly sleeping Umut to their bedroom. Of course, Miran follows and promises her that she and Umut will always be under his watchful eye. Rey reminds him that Umut was taken from his own room, not off the street so it is hard for her to get past being scared. He again promises that he will never leave them defenseless again. She trusts him, but getting past the trauma is difficult.
Miran tells her that they can leave everything and start a whole new life away from the drama. Gonul and Azat have done it and are happy, they can too. Rey thinks back to the konak remodel and decorating. She appreciates the option but thinks that this is their life dream. This is their home surrounded by family. She can still hear Hazar’s voice in the walls of the konak.
Miran continues that he will do whatever she wants, wherever she wants. As long as they are together, they will make all their dreams come true. He admires her strength and determination. She makes him fall in love with her all over again. They will overcome the fears and be happy.
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #111
Part 2 of 3
Azize is on the phone with Firat who wants her at a board meeting. She tells him to vote on her behalf, she trusts him with any decision. She tells Mahmut (Yay! He is okay!) to pick up some paperwork at the lawyers’ office. She thanks him for being so loyal to her. Her heart is burning since Hazar’s death and she must end Fu soon. Hazar was taken at the happiest time of his life. She will not allow his death to be in vain. Mahmut is waiting to hear when Fu will be transferred to the prison and she asks him to continue to do so and report back.
In the Aslanbey kitchen, Yaren is trying to tell Seyda how to cook. This annoys Handan who is there to pack her up and take her back to the Sad casa. Yaren refuses and they argue, especially when Yaren intimates that she has plans to get rid of Firat’s wife. Zeynep enters the kitchen right before Yaren gets a slap from Handan. Handan tell Yaren that she will be by to pick her up tomorrow. She nods a greeting to Zeynep and leaves with Seyda.
Zeynep gives Yaren a pre-baby gift since she knows Yaren will not be around much longer. The Yellow Centipede pulls out the nasty slim and tells Zeynep that she cooked all those dishes on the table for Firat as she knows exactly what pleases him. To her credit, Zeynep grabs a dish and tosses it into the trash can. Who do you think you are? snipes Yaren. I am Zeynep Aslanbey, the woman of this house and the only reason you are still here is because you are pregnant. We won’t throw you out on the street unless you continue to cross the line.
This gets the delusional Yaren to leave the room and go to her bedroom. There, she has a class A meltdown saying she will show Zeynep Aslanbey who she really is. Looking in the mirror, she tells herself that Firat loves only her! (It is time to make her Dilsah’s roomie). Yaren tells herself that there is only one obstacle keeping Firat from coming to her and she will take care of that problem very soon. Yaren makes a call (Uh oh).
In the board room/office, Firat tells Miran, Cihan and Nasuh that Azize will not make the meeting. The first order of business is canceling the contract he originally recommended that caused so many problems. Firat takes responsibility for insisting even when Hazar was not in favor. He thinks if he hadn’t insisted the situation with Hercan would have been avoided and Hazar might still be alive. After an “I told you so” from Miran he and Nasuh tell him it is not his fault.
Cihan says it is all Fusun’s fault. They all agree to terminate the contract. The next order of business is changing the chair/president of the board. Firat no longer continues. Mahmut enters the office with a signed document from Azize. She has transferred all her assets to Miran. Both Miran and Nasuh are concerned with this move.
Our favorite Mahfuz is baby-talking and playing grampa with Umut. He just can’t get enough of seeing his grandson, he tells Reyyan. She has brought him one of her famous coffees. They have a nice exchange as father/daughter. He has been working on fixing up the foundation and it should be ready soon. He also sent help to Zehra to take care of Gul and Bahar while she handled her mother’s burial. They have not told her what happened with Umut. Rey is very grateful to him for all his help. He says hopefully he is making up for what he couldn’t do for her early in life. He hugs her lovingly and gives Umut one last smile as he leaves.
Back at the office, Cihan and Firat continue to review the contract cancellation documents as Nasuh laments how concerned he is about Ayse/Azize. Miran promises to go and talk to her, everything will be okay.
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #111
Part 3 of 3
The next order of business is electing a new board president. Firat is clear that he does not want to continue in the role. To his surprise, Miran nominates Cihan. The vote is unanimous. Looks that the fences have been completely mended and Cihan is on his way to being a better person.
Miran visits Azize. She tells him she doesn’t understand why he and Nasuh are so worried. She is just sitting quietly in the house, hurting no one. Miran calls her out saying he knows her better than anyone. Anytime she ever sat quietly, a tragedy or disaster was close at hand. She assures him that she is just mourning the loss of her son. Miran once again warns/reminds her not to do anything they would disapprove of. He also reminds her that Hazar told her to take care of his children.
She tells him to go back to Reyyan and Umut. He tells her not to do anything that will put them in danger. Smiling, she pats his leg and they hug. Her smile turns black and we know she is just blowing sunshine up Miran’s como se llama. Azize has not intention of letting Hazar’s death go unpunished.
Back at home, Miran enters the baby room to find Umut sleeping (no big surprise) and Reyyan staring at him. He has chosen the professional photo and had it framed. Of course, it the one he looks the cockiest in. Reyyan wants to hang it up on a remembrance wall immediately. Miran goes in search of a hammer.
Outside the bedroom, he finds a gloomy looking Lutfu. Miran tells him to share his concerns with him. We don’t hear what is said, but I think this guy is in love with Ayise.
At the Sad casa, Nasuh is on the phone checking in with Esma. Ayse is still quiet and in her room. Nasuh joins Handan and Cihan at the lonely dinner table. He laments that the room used to be filled with lots of disagreements and discussions. They all miss Hazar terribly. (I do too). Apparently Zehra lost her mother and Hazar on the same day. They realize that Azat has not been informed of his Uncle’s death. They all hope that he returns home soon.
ReyMir hang up the new family photo and we get scenes of Miran learning more baby care with Umut. Including a shy Reyyan breastfeeding Umut. (Really girl, get over it! Miran has seen them before!). There is an extended scene with ReyMir that I won’t take too much time to recap. Reyyan sings a lullaby; they dance and laugh.
Zeynep and Firat are cuddling in bed. She is telling him how Yaren totally got under her skin. Firat takes that time to want to talk about starting a family when suddenly Zeynep covers her mouths and runs to one of the non-existent Aslanbey bathrooms to puke. I think that bun is already cooking. This is the end of the episode.
Looks like we really are finally getting to the end of this dizi and it looks like I get to recap the Final next Monday.
Thanks very much, VVS, for another excellent recap. As always, your side comments are delightful and on target, starting with "(IF we ever get to the end, this kid is going to be a spoiled brat)."
You ask where Fusun is, if she's not in prison. I'm not sure, but I think she is currently being held in a local jail. Once she has had a trial (if she ever does) and is found guilty, she'll be transferred to a prison.
Yes, the scene at the photography studio was quite silly. I noticed that although Reyyan had a big smile throughout the session, Miran almost never seemed to smile. Perhaps when he looked at himself in the mirror and saw that he still had those ridiculous bangs, he was as unhappy as we are and thus couldn't manage a smile.
You make a good point about out-of-sight-out-of-mind Dilsah. Azra told her she'd be calling her every day, I think, and perhaps she is doing so. Lately we've seen Azra mostly in very stressful situations, so there's no way to know. My guess is that a cured Dilsah will be back on or before the last episode. She's very important for both Azra and Miran.
Yay! I too was happy to see that Mahmout is alive and well. I found it interesting that Azize continued to praise him, making a clear contrast with the way Fusun treats Halit.
The delusional Yellow Centipede (YC) apparently is convinced that Firat loves her, and that he married Zeynep out of spite. YC again says that the only obstacle standing between her and Firat is the baby she's carrying, and, as she picks up the phone, she says she will take care of that problem. It seems clear that we're supposed to think she means to abort the pregnancy. Whether she will or not remains to be seen. I'm leaning more toward a miscarriage, or perhaps the fetus is already dead or dying, and that's why we haven't seen her looking at all pregnant.
Mahfouz mentions that Zehra still knows nothing about Umut's birth. Why haven't they told her? She was well aware of the terrible situation Reyyan faced, and surely she'd be relieved and delighted to know that both Reyyan and Umut are alive and well.
I'm not sure what to make of Zeynep's sudden nausea when Firat says the word "baby." I found myself wondering whether there's some dark secret in her past. However, with only five more episodes to go, I think that's unlikely. I think you're probably right that the nausea is just a sign that "the bun is already in the oven."
Yes, Azize's disappearing smile signals that we're likely in for more terror and angst in the episodes to come. Arrgh. Oh well, just 5 more to go, but who's counting? (I think we all are!!)
VVS, wowee wow .Thank you for that excellent, detailed recap of this ticking time bomb of revenge and sorrows .
Yaren, yes, you are the queen of everything, the princess of quite a lot. This nutjob will go absolutely BSC when she finds out that Zeynap is pregnant .
Does anyone remember that back towards the beginning of this trail of tragedy when we were all young and Miran's bangs disappeared for a few episodes ? We were all celebrating , and then suddenly those angry bangs were back. QTH???? Did someone decide that the bangs were a better !ook than bangless Miran?.. ! If so, who would think that ? I'm guessing it was some guy with bangs who thought he himself looked great . ...or maybe it was someone who hated Miran as much as we do.
Miran, you're so vain you probably think this show is about you.
Yay, loyal to a fault Mahmoud survives . I hope he finds better employment if Azz bites the dust at the finale.
Azz is percolating her plot . I am hoping that it works this tine, but that she and her target Fu both leave the planet together ...Wily Coyote and Roadrunner. Adios girls .
VVS......AWESOME..thanks for the recap......Eid Mubarak.....it’s like an closing.....so ....I relaxed n enjoyed your details.....
Moron promises...okay.....Reyyan you are finally GETTING HIP TO THE PROGRAM..!....
Fufu in holding..county jail...not prison....Turkish penal system is no joke........ain’t those phones tapped..Yea!
Azize n Mahmutti. Are plotzzing..MasAllah...guess she still need her right gun man wing man..riding shotgun...writers!?
Team Firat..Fufu effed up that deal...not him...Nasuh !your girl is slick...but glad Cihan is entrust...
Team Mahfuz...sexy grandpappi....Reyyan chillax for a minute.........where is Melikeehi....?with Zehranni..?
Terrific comments Juanita, Susanlynn and HalimaCandy, thank you!
Juanita, duh, thank you for explain that Fu was just in lock up and not prison. I was having a hard time gaging how much time has passed by. Reyyan was just on her deathbed, Hazar was buried and the premature Umut looks six months old now. I think Mahfuz and Reyyan were talking about not telling Zehra about Umut being kidnapped. She was in Istanbul when he was born.
Susanlynn, “Does anyone remember that back towards the beginning of this trail of tragedy when we were all young and Miran's bangs disappeared for a few episodes?” had me literally laughing out loud. Those angry bangs have definitely defined the actor and the character. Thanks for the “You’re So Vain” reference!
HalimaCandy, Mahfuz is a sexy granddad for sure! Where is Melike? Good question. Last we saw her, she was helping Seyda with Yaren. Maybe she is with Zehra.
Loved this recap, VVS, along with your great asides. Thanks so much. Lucky you, getting the gran final!
Yaren’s back to her wicked, delusional self. She’s still on my no redemption list. Zeynep is no match for Yaren, she’s too much like Reyyan. But if Yaren goes through with an abortion, she’s doing herself in. Following convention, there’s a Firat bun in the Zeynep oven.
LOL, Miran’s “continued arrogance” at the photo studio. Umut’s “Memory of Midyat” will be “my dad’s a jerk, and what’s with those bangs?”
“Hey, is anyone visiting Dilsah?” Shhh…. She’s gone, and we’re not supposed to care about her anymore. Same with Melike and all the other “Von Trapp children” (thanks, Susanlynn).
Rey has the chance to escape Midyat and doesn’t take it. I wish she would.
Yay! Mahmut! He’s loyal to Azize, but there was a subtle look that made me think he’s not thrilled about pursuing revenge against Fusun. IIRC, Azize has entrusted her family to him in case she’s no longer around. That could still happen.
Mahfuz is definitely a favorite “sexy grandpappi” as HalimaCandy said. His interactions with Rey & Umut are sweet, but it makes me sad for Hazar.
Cihan gets his day on a pity vote. Meh.
LOL your comments, Susanlynn.
ITA on the sentiment, Juanita, “just 5 more to go, but who's counting? (I think we all are!!)”
Thanks dondi356! When I saw Final Week, I thought maybe the gran final would be Friday. It is okay. I finally feel more confident with my recapping and will be glad to tie a bow on this dizi!
VVS, I think we can exchange "duhs." As in Duh, thanks very much for reminding me that Zehra had been in Istanbul when Umut was born. Yes, it makes sense not to tell Zehra that Umut had been kidnapped, even though he's back safe and sound. It would just give Zehra yet another thing to worry about. Her list is already too long.
"Amor Valiente" (Brave and Beautiful), will debut Tuesday, May 31 at 10pm/9C, replacing "Pasión de gavilanes 2".

Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 53, Lunes, May 2, 2022 - Parte 1/4
My (awful) subtitles are back! :)
We get a fight scene between Norma and Adán. Norma kicks Adán, but he manages to get her on the floor. Norma is trying her best, but she can't push him away. He rips her shirt while Norma screams. NOOO! Why can't people hear her?
It turns out the staff is cleaning the house and they couldn't hear Norma because of the sound of the vacuum cleaner. Juan goes into the room they're cleaning (dining room?) and the staff turn off the vaccum cleaner to hear him. He asks them if they have seen some documents. They say no. Norma's screams are finally heard. Juan rushes into the room where Norma and Adán are in, grabs Adán, gets him out of the room and starts punching the heck out of him. (Insert happy "yay!" noises.) Norma is still on the floor. I don't think that creep managed to rape her, Juan came in before he did.
The staff get outside too as Juan gets Norma out of the room, tells her "I'm really sorry" (I hope subtitles were correct this time) and they start crying. Adán, meanwhile, has somehow managed to get up and get on a horse (the comments on YouTube said that he got on Juan's horse. I have him capable of doing that). For a second, I thought Adán died. I was disappointed when he got up :(
Javier tells Óscar something (I didn't catch it, but he mentioned the Reyes) and goes over to Jimena and a few other people, which, I assume, are part of the fashion show that is going to happen. Javier puts his hand on Jimena's back and Óscar gets mad, goes over there and punches(!) Javier! Jimena screams at him.
A dude from the group that was with Jimena goes with Óscar somewhere and they talk. Dude says Óscar is going to ruin everything and has caused many problems with what he just did. Óscar whines and says he wants to quit this whole thing and that it just got worse with Jimena (whose fault could that be?)
Juan is of course still mad at Adán and wants to find him. Norma tells him to calm down and to forget this whole thing. Juan asks her how long has this been going on.
Rosi is at the bar and is talking to Panchita. She actually admits she's obsessed with JD and says that she'll fight for him. She then says that something odd happened, when JD came here _____________ (didn't understand that).
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 53, Lunes, May 2, 2022 - Parte 2/4
Muriel and JD are kissing at the bar when Andrés gets a call from a staff member from Norma's, I think, who tells him what happened. Albín informs JD.
Norma tells Juan that this has been going on for a while, Juan says that she should have told him, they continue the conversation for a bit and he leaves.
Jimena is talking to Javier and tells him that Óscar went too far. Javier says that if she really loves him (Óscar, not Javier {insert sad noises}) she should help him. The WATS moments continue, huh? Jimena says that she's confused and Javier tells something about each couple solving their problems in their own way or something like that.
JD has arrived home and is talking to his mom. They talk and cry about what happened and Norma asks JD about the twins. JD says that they are with tío Óscar. She also asks about Juan and JD says that he is with Don Martín. They hug.
Adán and his friend are talking on their horses. Adán's friend (Terencio) gives Adán a bag and tells him to get out of there (Norma's house, I assume). Adán talks and mentions Romina. Terencio says that he warned him.
Óscar returns home, but Jimena isn't there nor has she called. One of the housekeepers who is replacing Bertha (Natalia) asks if she should call Jimena, but Óscar goes full 2-year-old mode and says no.
Érik and León grab Terencio (who's back at the house) and are about to hit him when Quintina comes in and tells them to stop, the police have questioned him already, e.t.c. Terencio leaves.
JD went to Don M's to find Juan, who just wants to be left alone. When JD leaves, Don M tells Juan to rest, hatred takes a lot of energy.
In this scene we have Sarita, Norma, Gaby and JD. They're talking about what happened again and Norma says that the important thing is that it's over. She says that other landowners have been called for some reason. JD says that the important thing is that he's still out there and that they should catch him and teach him a lesson. He leaves. (Team JD all the way!)
The twins also go to Don Martín's. Subtitles crashed and didn't show anything, the only thing that showed was Juan saying "I want to rest" and the twins leaving. The conversation was about what happened again, though, so no big loss.
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 53, Lunes, May 2, 2022 - Parte 3/4
Lol I forgot to say that, when the opening song played, when it said "nadie me lo quita" the subtitles translated it to "no one cares about me". I feel bad for these subtitles!
Óscar is dreaming about Félix.
Norma and Juan are talking. Norma says something like "I don't think Jimena is going to forgive Óscar, at least not now. Poor Óscar." More WATS. Sorry, it's because He'S hEr ReLatIvE aS wElL.
Jimena is on the couch thinking about the conversation with Javier from last night when Óscar sits next to her and wants to talk. Jimena tells him that he hurt the people who love him and Óscar takes responsibility (wow! I'm actually surprised!) He wants to leave the company and the fashion show e.t.c. Jimena thinks he should leave the fashion show, but not the company because SHE wants to leave. Óscar starts the "I can't live without you" crap and Jimena tells him that he'll leave the house. Óscar wants to talk about it (of course) but Jimena wants a divorce (YES!) Óscar starts making excuses for everything he did, but Jimena doesn't change her mind, THANKFULLY! She wants to get her life back.
Érik, León and JD have gathered together to discuss what they're going to do about Adán. Érik suggests going to the mill house, might find him there. León just says that Adán will pay and JD tells them to let it go!? León starts screaming at JD, JD tries to explain, Érik doesn't talk. JD tells them to not do anything, they already have enough problems with the professor. (NOT JD team all the way!) He says that Adán will pay, but not by them.
Gaby and Andrés talk about the same subject as everyone, what happened to Norma. Andrés says that this could have happened to anyone, even to their mom. There is a short dialogue with a housekeeper and then Gaby says that she's worried about Dimi. Andrés doesn't think that Sara would like a guy like him and asks Gaby where she is. She's at Gabs', with Dimi, because Gabs is returning back home from the hospital.
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 53, Lunes, May 2, 2022 - Parte 4/4
Óscar visits Bertha at the hospital. They talk and Óscar mentions Duvan at some point. Subtitle lag during this scene.
Jimena vists Romina in prison/the place where they keep them in the police station before they put them in prison. Jimena tells her that Romina has caused much harm to Duvan and Óscar and says that she will withdraw (only hers) if she lets Óscar recognise Duvan, gives him his last name and his (Óscar's) rights. Romina refuses this, says that she will be stuck in prison anyway and that she doesn't want Óscar to take Duvan away from her, she wants Jimena and Óscar to divorce, Óscar to marry her e.t.c.
Dimi is hanging things on Gabs' house because "he wants it to be a fiesta". Sarita says that it's not her mom's style and Dimi tells her that he just wants to show affection. He then tries to kiss her(!?), but Dominga saved the day by coming in and asking about the number of guests for the fiesta. Sara doesn't want any guests, Dimi says only her children and a few people (that creep wants to see Gaby again), but Sara says no.
Juan and Óscar talk about how they have to defend their people, since there's no law. Óscar whines about his relationship with Jimena again, Juan tells him that he has to save it (how about no?) and Óscar says that Jimena wantd to solve the problem fast, she's not even answering the phone.
Jimena, meanwhile, is still where Romina is. She tells Romina that Óscar wouldn't marry her. Romina says that he's been (subtitles lagged, something like "taking care of her"?) and Jimena says that he did it because of Duvan, because of his "responsibility as a father". Romina starts her "Óscar se muere por mi" crap and Jimena tells her to not lie. Romina continues the craziness session by saying that Óscar is with Jimena because he wanted someone to appear in the society with and that Romina is his woman. (So, she literally said that he couldn't appear in the society with HER as his wife, but she's too dumb to understand what she just said.)
The twins and JD found Adán's clothes and they have the same fight: We should fo something about it/No we shouldn't. They leave.
Speaking of the devil, Adán is hiding on a moving truck going to somewhere.
And we have the Fin del Capítulo.
VVS, your recap was SO good. I was laughing out loud at your asides. Yep, Umut is on his way to being a spoiled little prince if this adoration keeps up.
Thanks for reminding us Dilsah doesn't have Hazar visiting, as he'd promised. I know there's probably a big redemption in store for her, but I'm not feeling it. And it still bothers me that the wonderful Dilsah we saw as a supposed ghost was replaced by first the Grey Menace and then the Red Menace. I'd be fine with her staying in the same undisclosed location as Aslan and Sultana.
"blowing sunshine up his como se llama" - a slam dunk if I ever read one. [Too much basketball lately.]
One good thing the writers have done is have Mahfuz ready in the wings for when they killed off Hazar. Hopefully Zehra can stop giving him the side eye. I agree with those of you who would prefer these two not get together as a couple.
Speaking of Wile E. Coyote, Susanlynn, I'd be pleased to see Yaren and Fusun wrestling on a cliff, falling off it, and having two of Roadrunner's Acme Co. anvils land on their heads.
Still waaay in the minority but I want the full redemption and a seat at the table, maybe with Umut on her lap, for Azize/Ayse.
OT..I am enjoying " Calikuso" (Love bird ).
Thank you Weirdo, for fighting the subtitles once again to bring us this wonderful recap! It was a horrible episode but at least Norma was heard and rescue before the rape could be completed. I feared it would be even worse.
I couldn't believe Adan was able to get away with a YARD FULL of people standing right there!! Had to have been shock!!! I was disappointed Juan stopped before he was dead. I don't encourage violence but that man deserves to die! Especially since when he was talking to his buddy and getting the clothes or whatever that he brought him, dude told him to disappear and he said he would but not before he got another shot at Norma!!! after everything, that beating from the Juan wasn't enough to discourage this bastard! He said he was going to treat Norma how he treats Romina - that's why her name came up.
It was Gaby who called and told Andres about Aunt Norma, she went to the ranch looking for the twins and found out what happened.
Speaking of Romina, she claimed to Jimena that she's been pregnant three times with Oscar's babies but that Oscar forced to get an abortion the other two times, basically she was preparing to claim Oscar is her long time and abusive lover as a defense to him getting custody of Duvan - Jimena didn't believe her lies though, or at least she said she didn't.
What Rosi told Pancha was that she had been obsessed with JD since the first time she saw him. She said the first time she saw him was from behind and he reminded her so much of _____. She didn't name who, not even after Pancha asked, but my guess is it was Franco. Franco was supposedly the great love of Rosi's life up until she saw JD and if JD reminds her of someone from the past the full circle moment would make sense; especially if Franco is coming back soon which I so hope he is!!! Plus, Andres did once saw that everyone thinks JD is most like his dad in mannerisms and personality.
Speaking of JD - I think his whole point with his brothers was not that he wanted to let it go so much as he wants the cops to be the one to find Adan. The twins wanted to gather their dad and their brother and the whole posse and have a showdown and JD thought that would end badly. He very much wants Adan caught and he's also worried that his father or one of his brothers would kill Adan if they found him first - especially Juan. He doesn't want any of them to face murder charges or for things to get even worse. I think it's a reasonable fear, the Juan from 20 years ago would have killed Adan for sure, not sure whether this one will or not. I also don't know whether this is for good or bad, but to the mill house is were the twins wanted to look and that is where Adan was so it seems the confrontation would have happened if JD hadn't talked his brothers out of it.
LOL I like that you used WATS!!! :) I also think Javier had a good point though, he wasn't telling Jimena that she SHOULD help Oscar necessarily, just that Oscar needed help. Basically he was saying your husband is losing it, seriously losing it and he needs help. I know you are really mad at him and with good reason but if underneath all that you still love him then you should help him because he needs it. And honestly Oscar is loosing it....I don't feel bad for him because I don't love him, I hate him; but if I did love him I'd probably try to help him. But I still hope Jimena divorces him instead.
I noticed neither the Telemundo page not the Univision page is labeled for season 3, I know there was some debate as to which page would hold the discussion. Was there ever a resolution for that?
I am also hoping Ayse can finally tap down the Azize evilness, novelera. The Acme anvil needs to find Fu and Yaren soon. I am starting to think there might be a HEA for most of the characters still left.
Darcy and Dondi356:
I passed your question to Rgv Chick. Here is her response:
Since the Telemundo page is for “Telemundo y Más”, the recaps technically should be posted on that page HOWEVER, since the previous seasons for Embajador were on the Primetime (Univision) page, then it would be best to continue there. Rgv Chick will add the embajador label later.
Thank you -
Diana
Fabulous and Funny recap VVS! Enjoyed it immensely! Especially those non-existent bathrooms! Hahaha! Have we ever seen anyone take a bath or shower in the twin konak??? Lol! I do remember Miran putting Reyyan in a tub when she had a fever, and there was a bathroom at the hotel on the Valentine’s Day trip, but other than that, I wonder where Zeynep let her bile loose, lol.
I’m glad we’re nearing the end, and that maybe some loose ends will be tied up. Not sure what will befall Yaren who is definitely more delusional than usual——- will she be off to the same “rehab” as Dilsah, or finally trip over a rock and fall into the abyss? Whatever happens ——BAD——she’ll deserve it, lol. I can’t think of anything fitting for Fu, but I hope they make it good! These people plotting to the very end is mind boggling!
Cihan finally got the status he seeks—— yay I guess. At least he’s neutralized. As for Miran, I have to agree that he’s been a terrible galan, and I hope to never see another galan with bangs! Reyyan should’ve took the “let’s skip this town,” offer, but deep down she has a “suffer” complex. Why else did she never get on that beautiful horse of hers ( what’s his name again?) and ride off into the Midyat sunset? I’m glad, too, that Mahmut, is alive and well, and yes hottie grandpa, Mahfouz, has been a light in this dark barrel of fighting monkeys.
I don’t know about Azize anymore. Seems she can’t change——-shame……
I’m going to truly enjoy and inhale this final week of recaps!!!
Thank you Weirdo! Excellent recap! Another “Que the Hell” episode, which coulda been titled “ I Ain’t learned my lesson yet,” as in Adan, Rosario, Erik and Leon, Oscar and Romina. Adan——-you about to get your azz beat to infinity and beyond, but you still want a piece of Norma?!?!? Rosario——you just want JD and Muriel to make a baby right before your very eyes and maybe then you’ll get it in your head that he don’t want you!?!?! Erik and Leon——-y’all really WANT to go to prison don’t you!?!? Oscar——- you put the JACK in ASS! You are incapable of learning anything! And Romina—— you’re right up there with Oscar, just DELUSIONAL!!!
These folks aren’t making any sense, but hey, did I really expect that they would come to their senses?!?!? NAHHHHHH!
Carmello..Hey that would have been a much more accurate title ........ " Dark Barrel of Fighting Monkeys"
Knock, Knock ... Who's there???
Sam and Frank are on their way......... when? etapa final..
The show is almost over.

The episode opens with Reyyan again apologizing for something she said (for which I think we already saw her apologizing in a previous episode). She asks Miran's forgiveness. He tells her that if she falls asleep in his arms every night, he can overlook what she said. They get, um, friendly, and Miran says, warily, "If that child starts to cry now...."
In the morning, Miran wakes up refreshed, but Reyyan has apparently tossed and turned all night. I was afraid we were going to get an account of another eerie nightmare, but no. Nothing more than Reyyan repeating "Nothing bad will happen, nothing bad will happen." She makes a phone call to her mother and asks when she'll be coming back.
Azra assures Miran that Reyyan is simply experiencing some post-partum depression. Very common. Not to worry. Miran says that he's been so busy thinking about his own problems that he forgot that Azra was leaving. She says she'll be leaving in 3 days. [Huh? Why is she leaving if Fusun is in jail?] Miran tells her to remember that she is his brother and Umut's aunt.
The scene changes to outside the police station, which I assume is also the jail. In a voiceover, we hear Azra tell Miran not to let his guard down regarding Fusun. Even with her hands tied, she is very dangerous. We then see Fusun being led out of the jail in handcuffs. It's not clear where she's being taken. Her lawyer appears, and she asks him "Did you send my message?" He assures her that he did, and all preparations have been made.
Azize comes out of her house with Mahmoud. Three men approach--apparently Fusun's goons. Azize mentions Halit's name. (Hmm)
Miran plays more classical music for Umut. He also changes Umut's diaper, first warning his son not to pee on him this time.
Nasuh comes to see Yaren, but she's not at the Aslanbey konak. He calls her and says he has some important matters to discuss with her. We see that Yaren is about to enter a gynecology clinic, and Nasuh's call doesn't alter her plans. Looks as if she has decided to get rid of the "obstacle" that she thinks is preventing Firat from being with her.
Reyyan comes down for breakfast. Asiye has prepared lots of vegetables. Apparently they are to help her breast milk. Miran asks where Lutfu is. Suddenly we hear Lutfu bellow "Asiye!" He is outside, dancing, with a heart either sewn or pinned to his sweater. He's a surprisingly good dancer. He opens a ring box in front of Asiye and eventually asks, "Will you marry me?" She replies, "I'll strangle you!" With some urging from ReyMir, she finally accepts.
Fusun is being transported somewhere in handcuffs. She thinks, impatiently, "Come on, Halit. This is your last chance. Don't ruin it." The car she's in has to stop, since the road is blocked by a truck that has supposedly broken down. Then Halit drives up. A policeman tells him to get back in his car, it will only be a minute. Halit claims he's in a hurry. When the cop again orders him to return to his car, Halit says he can't wait, and he and two more goons pull out their guns, as does the supposed truck driver. One of the goons removes Fusun's handcuffs and transfers her to Halit's car. As they drive off, Fusun tells Halit, Muy bien trabajo ("good job," which is also the episode's title), but she then adds, "It's about time you did something right." Halit reports that they've taken Azize where Fusun told them to. Fusun says, "Miran will come. Azize is very important to him." We then see Miran get a call, and immediately go back to his car and drive off.
Hercai2: #112 - p 2 of 3
A very tired-looking Yaren returns to the Aslanbey konak. She asks Seyda for some tea. She says (to herself and Viewerville) that she will take care of Zeynep and then get Firat and be the lady of the house. We then see Zeynep on the balcony looking at a pregnancy test that tells her she's pregnant.
Miran is driving his car and trying frantically to call Azize. There's no answer. Miran tells himself he's a father now, and he can't upset Reyyan again.
Azize is walking in the woods where Hazar was shot. Fusun and her goons approach. "I see you found out how to escape," Azize calmly observes. Fusun asks Azize whether she's afraid. "Not as much as you," returns Azize. Fusun laughs at what she takes to be empty bravado. "I'm keeping my word," she tells Azize. "Your loved ones will die here in your arms, first was your son, and soon your grandson." One of her goons gives her a gun, which she points at Azize.
We then see Miran frantically running through the woods, yelling "Abuela, abuela, abuela! Fusun tells Azize, "You wil cry over Miran's corpse as you did over Hazar's." Azize remains calm and says, "Halit." Halit and the others pull out their guns, disarm Fusun, and point their guns at her. "They've betrayed me!" exclaims Fusun. Azize gloats, "They're smarter than you, Fusun. They know which woman is the most powerful." Down but not out, Fusun asks, "Do you think you've won when you are at the place where your son died?" Azize replies, "It may do me good to watch you die where he died."
Suddenly, Miran appears. Azize is not pleased. "What are you doing here, Miran? I told you to stay away!" Miran replies, "I won't let you be a killer. Don't do it!" Azize asserts, "I won't be able to breathe while she is alive." Miran counters with, "I think of my father every day. It drives me crazy to think how he died, but I did not want to get revenge. You, too. You will give up your revenge." Azize remains adamant: "I can't. My son will never rest in peace." Miran replies, "Carrying out your revenge won't give my father peace. Look at us. We used to be empty, detestable people. Now you are Ayse and I am a father. You don't have to kill her. Drop the gun. Let her rot in prison. Don't abandon your son's family." We then hear a gunshot. Fusun falls.
Azra gets a call telling her that Fusun has been shot and is in the hospital. Azra asks how she is. She's told Fusun is alive but not well. Reyyan comes out of the house and Azra shares the news. "Wasn't she in jail?" asks Reyyan. Azra informs her that she escaped. "Who shot her?" asks a troubled Reyyan. Azra says she doesn't know, but she's going now to the hospital to see her. She leaves, and Reyyan says, "Please, no, not Miran!"
We see Azize approaching Hazar's grave at the cemetary. We hear a voiceover of Miran telling her, "For me it's over, abuela. If you continue with your venganza, I won't be with you. I changed, abuela. When I look in the eyes of the woman who killed my father and kidnapped my son, I realize that I've changed. And Umut will not have my destiny. I will not lose my son, and my son will not lose his father. It's time for you to decide. Will you stay as Azize, or will you finally be Ayse again?" Azize kneels at Hazar's grave and buries her prayer beads (I think) under several inches of earth that cover the grave. Nasuh arrives by her side. He puts his hand on hers and says, "Welcome back, Ayse. Let's go." They leave the cemetery together.
Hercai2: #112 - p 3 of 3
Miran drives up to the Sadoglu konak. Cihan comes out to the street to greet him. Cihan is upset that Miran went by himself rather than involving Cihan. Miran explained that everything happened very suddenly. Cihan then says he thinks Mahmoud shot Fusun, and he asks how Mahmoud is. Miran tells him that the police took him away, and Miran sent a lawyer to deal with it. Cihan then asks how Fusun is. Miran replies, "I'm not sure. I doubt she'll survive." [I'm not so optimistic. There are still five episodes left.] Cihan tells Miran, "If you're tempted to do something dangerous again, think twice and don't do it. Think of your son, your wife, your family. But if you decide to do it anyway, tell me, and we'll do it together." Miran thanks him and says the same goes for him as well.
Reyyan and Miran go to the swing, where Miran apparently tells her the details of what happened. He adds, "Clearly they wanted me to do something, but Fusun fell into her own trap." He adds, "If Azize is still Azize, we'll have to stay away from her." Reyyan tells Miran she has news for him about people they love (presumably about Zeynep's being pregnant).
Zeynep gives Firat a present in a wrapped box. He unwraps it and finds lots of colored paper and a white stick. He isn't sure what the lines on the white stick mean. Are you pregnant? She smiles. A delighted Firat joyfully declares, "I'm going to be a father!" Apparently the walls are just as porous as the doors, and Yaren overhears Firat's declaration. She is stunned and disbelieving. "No, it can't be, it can't be. What will I do now? It can't be!!" She throws something at the mirror, shattering it. "I got rid of my baby to get Firat--it can't be!" Firat hears her and comes to her room to see her. "You deceived me" (me engañaste), she screams. "You lied to me. You told me the baby was the only obstacle between us." Firat tells the delusional Yaren that he never said that. He continues, "You need to think about your baby." She replies, "There's no baby. I got rid of it for you. So we could be together again." Firat says, "Yaren, you're not well, you're sick. I'm taking you to your family." He tells Seyda to pack Yaren's bags. Yaren insists, "No. I'm staying here. I'm the lady of this house. Me, not her!" She looks at a horrified Zeynep and screams, "You planned all of this, you bitch! I'll kill you!" Firat grabs Yaren to prevent her from physically attacking Zeynep. He holds her as she keeps repeating, "I'll kill her!" and the episode ends.
Wow Juanita! I am so glad you had such an exciting, interesting last recap! Of course, your recap was spectacular, as always. Glad Miran turned over a new leaf and Halit turned coat on Fu. Several on the patio predicted this! I appreciate the time you took to cover the important dialogue and add the Spanish as well.
The Yellow Centipede is a despicable and crazy person. I think Firat finally got that clue. Zeynep and her baby may be the YC’s next target if they don’t throw her in the manicomio pronto.
I wonder what the burying of the prayer beads meant for Azize? Is she really Ayse? Nasuh sure does love her.
I guess I missed Mahmut shooting Fu, but glad someone did! I doubt she is dead.
I have enjoyed ALL your recaps and comments/rants Juanita! You never miss commenting on everyone’s recaps and comments. I know that takes a lot of time and I appreciate that! Thank you for sticking this one out!
Thank you guys for your kind words!
Great recap-filling, Darcy! Lol I don't know why I keep confusing Gaby with other people. And I just CANNOT believe what Adán said! He is going to try to rape Norma AGAIN? This guy deserves to die. I wish the truck he's in crashes!
While I understand why JD told his brothers to let the police handle it, I understand the twins more. Juan said that there's no law and that guy deserves to die. I wouldn't want Érik and León to end up in prison though!
Yesterday's recap will be up later today.
Great recap Juanita! Very fine job on one of the better episodes of late! What this dizi lost, for me, was less and less happy moments as it went on—— not to mention the death of Hazar. Yeah he was a crybaby, but steadfast in his well-being for his family. The absence of Gul, who really was a joy in many dark times was also felt by me. Also missed Granny Sukran and Melike. That being said, I guess it’s better late than never, for Miran——- he’s so “mushy” now, lol. And I loved Luftu’s dance and proposal! He is quite the dancer!
I didn’t think that Halit would turn on Fu, but I’m glad he did. She was spewing her venom to the very end, and I kept rolling my eyes and wishing she would shut the “eff” up! Why did they give her those long dialogues anyway!? She irked me to no end! I guess Azize had to do this to get the peace her tortured soul needs. Fusun represented more than just the person who killed her son and grandchild, but she also stood by and watched Azize get her butt kicked and face rearranged on the regular by her husband. Azize’s hatred for her must’ve ran deeper than we could imagine, and that’s why she refused to listen to anybody when they tried to stop her from taking revenge. Yes, Nasuh must really love her, but if you ask me, he should be afraid! Be very afraid! Lol!
Yaren has definitely crossed over into the outer limits. How did she come to the conclusion that Firat promised her anything? How did she become so fixated on him? Sad that she got rid of her baby. I know she’s in no state to take care of a baby, but the child would’ve had the love of the other Sadoglus and Firat Aslanbey. So, in her demented mind, she got rid of an Aslanbey to have another Aslanbey? So twisted! Plus the last of Harun’s seed should’ve lived on. Harun wasn’t such a bad guy after all. Guess Firat is head male Aslanbey unless Aslan ever decides to show up…….
Looks like we’re heading into “happiness” overload! I will enjoy it, lol!
Juanita, thanks so much for another excellent account as this tale of festering vengeance crawls to the finale.
I wonder why the writers made the decision to kill off Hazar, the goodhearted, longsuffering brother and redeem and save Cihan, the jealous , conniving brother who has been a constant troublemaker .
Let's hope Umut continues to dampen his Dad's spirits . Go, Umut.
I hope that Mahmoud isn't in jail for life for finally putting an end to evil Fu .
It's funny how we thought that Harun was going to tame sure wish Yaren.
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 54, Martes, May 3, 2022 - Parte 1/5
The fashion show is being rehearsed. Jimena is there, but isn't watching it. She's crying as she remembers what Romina told her (including the 2 abortions that Romina supposedly had - thanks Darcy for adding that. My subtitles decided to show what she said NOW). When she turns to look at the models that are walking, wearing the clothes for the fashion show, instead of seeing the model, she sees Romina. Poor Jimena! The team notices something's off and asks her if she's okay.
Gabs returns home from the hospital. Dimi is there and has arranged the fiesta, with music and everything. Sarita is on her balcony, talking on the phone telling someone that Gabs is back. Inside of the house, there is MORE music and guests, even though Sarita told Dimi NOT to invite people. Gabs' face screams "I don't want to be in this fiesta". She tells Dimi that she wants to go upstairs. She says that her family didn't come to greet her, Dimi tells her that Sara's here and goes upstairs to find her.
Dimi finds Sarita in her room. Sara wants to give her mom a gift, a necklace that Franco gave her. Dimi starts talking about how nice of her it is to give her mom something that's important to her e.t.c. and when Sarita closes her eyes, he tries to kiss her. She pushes him away and gets out of the room (yes!).
The twins visit Duvan and introduce themselves. Duvan asks why didn't his dad visit him? Does he not love him/care about him? The twins deny this and say that Óscar adores him and wants to live with him. They give Duvan a remote control toy and ask him if he ever saw a gun in Romina's house. Duvan remember Romina burying a gun but doesn't say it. A lady comes and says that Duvan has to go eat. Duvan tells the twins that he doesn't accept the gift and that Romina doesn't like it when he talks to strangers. He leaves. Érik says that is simpático, despite having that witch as a mother.
Irene, the housekeeper at Sarita's from yesterday, tells Sara that some people have arrived and Sarita goes to see them. They are two of the dudes from the fashion show team, who tell Sarita that Jimena had a breakdown because of personal problems, she didn't want to go home nor tell Óscar, she wanted to go here, so they brought her. Sarita thanks them and goes to see her sister. Jimena is crying on a bed and tells Sara that all her problems are because of Óscar and mumbles something else as Sarita hugs her (kind of, I don't know how to express this).
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 54, Martes, May 3, 2022 - Parte 2/5
The twins are at some sort of bar and start to talk about Duvan, how he rejected the gift e.t.c. (in a positive way). Then, Érik says that they need to give tío Óscar a good welcome (exactly how my subtitles put it) and they start talking about the gun. One of them (Érik, I think) suggests that maybe Romina hid it in the forest, the other (León) adds maybe at a tree? They both agree that they need to find it and won't stop searching until they do.
Óscar gets up and sees Jimena packing. He tells her about her visit to Romina (the lawyer told him) and asks her why did she go and what did they say. Jimena refurses to say and tells him she's leaving. Afterwards she does tell him something that Romina told him I think(?) and Óscar says that she shouldn't let her soul get poisoned by what Romina said. Jimena goes to leave, but she stops and tells him that she'll stay at Sarita's.
As Norma is talking to Gabs, we see Óscar riding his horse. Norma tells Gabs that something's wrong with Óscar (maybe it's his brain!). He can't overcome what happened with Jimena, he doesn't want to work nor to talk to anyone and he visits the mill house looking for Duvan (lol my subtitles translated "Duvan" to "generous water"). He wasn't prepared. Gabs says that he should have been prepared from the moment he betrayed Jimena. How could he hide a kid and Romina for so long? Norma says she agrees and something else that I didn't catch.
Demetrio is with Sarita and is talking to Andrés and to Gaby about the changes he wants to do in THIS HOUSE AS WELL. He wants to "remodel" it and Sara agrees with him! (Seriously, now, What Are They Smoking?) Andrés doesn't even want to hear about it and Gaby agrees. Andrés invites Sarita to the bar, it's for a special concert that he and Muriel have planned. Sara at first refuses, but then says that she'll think about it. Andrés and Gaby leave. Sara APOLOGIZES to Dimi for Andrés' and Gaby's behaviour(!!!) Did I mention that, when Andrés was refusing to let Dimi demolish their house, Sara told him to CHANGE HIS TONE? Anyway, Dimi acts like it's fine, they're kids, he understands.
Gaby and Andrés are in Jimena's room. They invite her to the bar and she also refuses at first because she's not feeling well. They try to change her mind. Gaby says that it's better to go that sit here and regret what she did. Jimena says that she doesn't regret what she did.
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 54, Martes, May 3, 2022 - Parte 3/5
Meanwhile, the twins are trying to convince ÓSCAR to go to the bar. Óscar doesn't want to go as well. Érik tells him "don't stay here for someone who won't come back" and León, clearly angry, yeets his hat at Érik.
Gaby says that she admires Jimena's strength and now she's disappointed. She tells her aunt that she wants her to continue living, she's beautiful, young e.t.c.
The twins continue talking to Óscar, wanting to convince him to go, saying that we all have problems and to go and have some fun. Óscar mentions Duvan (something like "I have to find where Duvan is"). The twins keep talking to him about the bar and even do a foot hit thing. Cute!
It's Andrés' turn to talk to Jimena about the bar. Gaby adds "do it for your favourite [niece]" and Andrés says "I'm her favourite" lol! They manage to make Jimena smile.
Óscar wants to go to the hospital to see Bertha and asks the twins to accompany him.
JD is talking to Juan about the bar as well, trying to convince him to go with Norma. (Lol, the whole Parte 3 is people trying to convince others to go to the bar). Juan doesn't want to go too, but JD insists, saying that the music will be modern. Juan doesn't look enthusiastic, Don Martín, on the other hand, is a bit too enthusiastic. He definitely wants to go (he says things like "where there are gatos there are gatas") and Quintina tries to make him calm down. Lol this was a funny scene.
Óscar is at the hospital to pick up Bertha, who is feeling better now. Óscar tells her that nothing is going to be the same without Jimena amd Bertha hopes there's some hope or reconciliation. Óscar says that it's very hard, the situation got out of hand, he made a tremendous mistake and now he's going to pay the consequences. Both Bertha and him get in his car.
Don Martín is now sleeping in his bed and Quintina says stuff like "wake up! Won't you go to the glitter and the gatas you mentioned earlier?" Lol! JD is also standing there.
Norma and Juan are getting ready to go to the bar. Juan tells Norma that he wants to go with Norma somewhere where they'll be alone, but Norma says that they promised to go to the bar. After some more talking, they kiss and hug. Lol Juan tells Norma "you're younger than when I met you" and Norma laughs.
At Bar Alcalá, Rosi is singing (nice song by the way, does anyone know the name?) and JD is watching.
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 54, Martes, May 3, 2022 - Parte 4/5
The twins are going to the bar. Érik looks at Félix and asks his bro if he thinks Félix knows anything. León doesn't think so and says that the extortionist is dead. Érik shushes him and tells him that they don't know that for sure. Isn't it strange that we haven't heard anything about his body? He says that until they're 100% sure he's dead there not going to _____ (subtitles said "be friends", I don't think it's what it said).
Back at Bar Alcalá, Panchita is saying a few words, doing the intro basically and then we see Andrés on stage. He starts singing and then we can also see Muriel on stage. She starts singing too. (At that point Muriel reminded me of Rosi, but I tried to get rid of that thought.) JD is watching them, smiling. They both have very nice voices and have great chemistry, they touch each other's faces at some point and it's so cute! After they're done, Muriel sends a kiss to JD and hugs Andrés.
Bertha's back at home, the housekeepers that are there hug her and are happy she's back.
Sarita, Gaby and Jimena are walking. They say that Muriel and Andrés are going to have great success. Sarita and Gaby talk, Jimena isn't. She looks like she's thinking something. The rest notice this and try to cheer her up. This helps a bit. Jimena tells them that she's thinking of Duvan and Gaby says that this is an opportunity for her to be his mom (well, technically, stepmom, but anyway). Jimena says no, but Gaby insists; he's going to need a new mamá and Sarita adds that she would be the best in the world. Jimena is firm on her decision, nope. (I'm obviously with Jimena here. It doesn't work like that.)
Norma and Juan went to a restaurant. They mayor and his wife went to talk to them. Juan says that he's showing his enemies that he's not afraid, that he'll face them and that they will continue their life. Norma says that they're here to relax and the mayor's wife talks to her, saying that she looks amazing (mentions her children as well, something like "you have three kids and you still look amazing!"). Norma thanks her and they go away. Juan tells Norma he wants to dance with her, so they get up and dance. They kiss.
Dimi, like a true cockroach, pops out of nowhere and goes to talk to Sarita. He calls all three of them beautiful. Gaby says that they wasted a lot of time outside, they should go in. Dimi agrees and says that he has an excellent table! (The only table that's excellent for him is one that punches!)
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 54, Martes, May 3, 2022 - Parte 5/5
Muriel is dancing and singing again (she reminds me of Rosi SO MUCH). She's looking at JD and JD's looking at her as well. Then we see someone's head from the back (has got to be Samuel's). He's calling someone and we see Gunther (I was just thinking about him, I missed that guy!) answer. We don't hear what they say, though. Muriel finishes her song, goes to JD and kisses him. The man's face is revealed: it's Samuel Caballero and he saw the whole thing.
And we have the Fin del Capítulo.
P.S.: Since we're not allowed to say anything about the Avances, I won't spoil it, but I just have to say, I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT TONIGHT'S EPISODE! Something is going to happen that we all wanted! ;)
JUANITA ..EPIC RECAP......You- Brought- It....!!!!!!
Ms.Fufu is down but not out.& what the heck...what are you trying to imply abt Halit and Azize...makes me wonder????????
bye Azra...go see your mother...bye Dilsah...the beloved..
and Lutfu and Aiyse?...that dance was DISCO WONDERFUL...loved it!!
Thanks so much, Juanita, for another great recap despite your frustration with this dizi. Congrats on making it to your finish line.
Well, it looks like Miran is a changed man. But I’ll never change my mind about him. He’s just not my kind of guy.
I felt awful that Yaren had the abortion. This was like killing Harun all over again. I liked him from the start and I had high hopes for his marriage to Yaren. They better lock her up before she hurts someone.
I know Lutfu was sweet on Asiye and he had some moves, but I thought that marriage proposal was so out of the blue. Asiye did nothing but tear the poor guy down every chance she got. Nothing says love like threatening to strangle someone. Crazy Midyat love.
We had some subtle clues that Halit might turn on Fusun. Glad that he and the others did.
Fusun’s shooting happened so quickly and the scene was choppy. I thought I saw Fusun reach for someone’s gun, a shot rang out and then we got the overhead view with Fusun on the ground. Only later did Cihan and Miran talk about Mahmut pulling the trigger. Of course, that would make sense if he thought Azize or Miran were in danger. I hope he goes free.
I wasn’t sure if Azra meant she was just leaving the Hope Konak or if she was leaving Midyat. Didn’t expect that. I just hope she doesn’t go soft on Fusun because she might die.
Thanks again, Juanita!
Weirdo, thank you for two amazing recaps with messy captions!! Well done! I don't get some of the mumbling either, sometimes it's hard to make sense of what is being said - maybe the people doing the translation just give up once in a while. lol
Haven't watched the last couple of days since I wasn't home. I'll have to catch up tomorrow until I do the next recap. Thank you for keeping me up to date!
Thanks so much, Juanita, for the fantastic recap! You did get a good one to recap. Less sappy I Love Yous from ReyMir and Fusun getting shot. I could have savored a look at her bleeding on the ground, but they preferred to make us wonder for a minute who got shot.
When Azra said she was leaving, I was wondering if it had something to do with some hints we've had that she had another life in Istanbul. Or maybe that is just another false trail going nowhere that these writers have given us. I remember her getting some mysterious phone calls. I was expecting some boyfriend, whether a good or bad guy, to surface.
Asiye and Lutfu...meh. It was kind of ridiculous that she'd turn on a dime after SO much scorn for him and accept the proposal. Guess they're trying for HEAs all over the place.
Well, we did have a hint when Azize addressed Halit by his name. Remember when someone said that Fusun's other guys would maybe betray her, but that Halit would let his whole family be killed rather than do so? Guess the awful remarks and IIRC a slap or two convinced him to desert this sinking ship. I suspected in that scene in the woods that Halit was done with the Old Gasbag. [Carmella, do you think there was a whooshing sound when she was perforated?]
It's been a loooong time since I changed a newborn's diaper or any diaper for that matter. But I seem to recall that the poop doesn't smell that bad, perhaps until they start eating baby food. But every TV show and/or movie always shows the changer of the diaper recoiling at the odor.
Tonight is my Zoom Spanish class, but I'll put up a quick and dirty unless someone has time to do one of the last ones justice.
I think I’m the only one who didn't see Fusun’s betrayal coming. Halit seemed as loyal as Mahmut, imo. So, what’s the difference between Mahmut and Halit, cause Mahmut would never, ever, EVAH turn on Azize? Also, I didn’t think much of Luftu’s proposal as coming from left field. Ayise and Luftu can’t even be considered secondary characters——maybe third—- so it’s not unusual that the writers wouldn’t spend that much time on developing their romance. It’s left to our imagination and they did spend an awful lot of time in that kitchen ——-alone, lol.
Thank you weirdo for this fantastic recap! I had a busy busy day and I am just now got to watch the episode! Glad your subtitles were back to cooperating.
I don't understand how Sara went from being so offended by Dimi's unwanted kiss to agreeing to let him remodel her house overnight. It makes no sense. She is also usually super sensitive to her kids needs and she was almost dismissive last night. It's nutty. I just can't understand in what world she would actually voluntarily spend time with her daughter's stalker!! That's the type of thing Gabriela would go but nothing we've seen of Sarita up to this point would make us believe she'd do this - what are you smoking indeed???
It's equally puzzling that all the kids would try so hard to get Oscar and Jimena to move on overnight! It's more understandable with Gaby and Andres since they've been through parents divorcing, but it's still weird. If it was weeks later that would be one thing but the day after Jimena leaves Oscar, Gaby is indicating her aunt is disappointing her by not shaking off the sadness and going to party??? Okay....the ladies did look nice though once they left.
I have no idea what song was playing but I heard they made a lot of original music for this season so it's possible it is a new song written specifically for the show. I liked Muriel's dance.
The twins with Duvan were super cute! I'd like to see this family bond more.
Carmella, the hints that Halit might change sides were veeery subtle. Mostly I remember some looks on his face when Fusun ordered him to do something particularly despicable; i.e., cut out some tongues or kidnap a baby. He never verbalized any of this but I noticed several examples of his body language showing displeasure.
Thanks novelera. I appreciate you sharing the changes that you saw in Halit. Fusun treated him so badly, and he always looked very scared of her, so I didn’t pay close attention. I don’t know how long Halit was with Fusun, but we do know that Mahmut was with Azize since he was a child. Azize had “mean” moments with Mahmut, but did show real affection for him too. Fusun was just downright cruel, and I’m surprised that Halit didn’t choke her and her cane a long time ago, lol………
Thanks again!
Thank you Weirdo! Enjoyed your recap! I was surprised by Sarita defending Dimi too! I hope they’re not trying to make another Gabriela out of her! Dimi has “skin crawling” characteristics and I hoped she’s not becoming charmed by the attention he shows her. She’s going to feel like such a fool and bad mom when the truth is revealed.
Juan and Norma are cute, and so are the twins. The song shared by Muriel and Andres was fantastic and if he weren’t gay, I could see them as a couple. Great chemistry! Rosario’s song was nice too, but I can’t stand her, so it’s difficult for me to throw any credit her way. How she took advantage of a drunk and out of sorts JD stays with me and I can’t see her past that.
I don’t know what the answer for Jimena is, but she needs time alone, and the support of the Elizondo’s. Oscar not only hurt her BIG TIME with the news of a son, but her self esteem, especially because she can’t bear children, is taking an unbearable beating. I hate to see her weak though, and was hoping she’d find some kick ass strength——-hopefully she still will…..
Many thanks VVS, carmella, Susanlynn, HalimaCandy, dondi356, and novelera, for your terrific comments.
VVS, yes, I really lucked out with this action-packed episode! And I too am worried about Zeynep and Firat, now that we see how totally out-of-control the delusional Yellow Centipede has become. As for missing Mahmoud shooting Fusun, I suspect all of Viewerville missed it. All we heard was the gunshot, followed by Fusun on the ground. I guess it was a deliberate choice by the writers to keep us in the dark for a few minutes more until Cihan mentions Mahmoud.
Carmella, yes, the absence of much joy really disappointed me too, especially since I chose to continue with Hercai rather than switch to Fatmagül because the latter seemed much bleaker than Hercai! Thanks for reminding us of all the additional horror Fusun went through, though it doesn't make me more sympathetic, perhaps because she seemed such a wooden character. And though I'm up for "happiness overload," I don't think we're there yet--not with five more episodes still to go. Usually things have to get really bleak before the HEA ending.
Susanlynn, I'm again loving your way with words, this time with "this tale of festering vengeance crawls to the finale." It seems especially ironic that, given your great verbal talent, you're the one who seems most affected by your words being mangled by Auto(In)Correct.
HalimaCandy, I too loved Lutfu's dancing, both by himself and with Asiye. I never would have guessed he'd have such talent. Yes, "that dance was DISCO WONDERFUL!" Also, since you're apparently quite knowledgeable about Muslim culture, I was wondering whether you had any thoughts about the meaning of Azize burying her prayer beads in the earth at Hazar's grave.
dondi356, I enjoyed your saying that in spite of Miran's change, "He’s just not my kind of guy." Nor mine!! Your description of the "choppy" scene of Fusun's shooting corresponded very much to what I saw. Fusun did seem to reach for something, but we don't see what. All we hear (off camera) is a gunshot, and then an aerial shot of Fusun on the ground. Oh well, I'm delighted that she was shot and doubly delighted that it was Mahmoud who shot her. I hope the lawyer Miran sent helps him get off. Yes, Mahmoud has done some terrible things, but somehow I'm still on his team. As for Azra, she had definitely agreed to leave Midyat with Fusun. I think she was sacrificing herself for the good of everyone else. But by the time she says she's leaving in 3 days, she knows that Fusun has been arrested and then gravely wounded. So I don't see why Azra would still plan to leave.
novelera, though I liked Luftu's dancing, I agree with you about the improbability of the relationship between him and Asiye. As you say, "It was kind of ridiculous that she'd turn on a dime after SO much scorn for him and accept the proposal. " And though it's been a very long time since I changed a baby's diapers, I too vaguely remember that the poop didn't smell bad until the baby was eating baby food. Oh well, so much for reality.
Thank you guys, for your amazing words!
I don't get why Sara magically agreed with Dimi about the house as well. I hope they finish the whole Dimi storyline fairly quickly, since new ones are coming.
Yep, it was weird trying to get Jimena to go to a party and move on the next day. Maybe they just didn't want to see her upset of something? Well, she may have kind of cheered up for one night, but she's still going to be upset tomorrow lol.
Sami's here! Finally!
Again, I won't spoil the next episode, but it has to be a good one! I can't wait to see Adriana's or Darcy's recap!
This is a quick one, as I'm on the run! Haha, joking, this was not done in a rush, because... spoiler alert... you know why.
The party is ON at Bar Alcala – Rosario and the band are singing, Muriel is dancing and kissing JD – perfect moment for Big Samuel Caballero, illustrious plastic surgeon who employs goons and has all the women in his life threatened, to show his unwanted face (you might look like Sergio Goyry, dude, but you are no Frank Reyes). For now only the audience has the honor to know that he’s in town.
Later in her dressing room, Rosario and the mayor talk about how great she’s been for the town and its culture LOL. Gunther arrives to interrupt the love fest. Alone with Rosario, he reminds her he’s never been in agreement with her work, but even he has to admit that both she and her daughter have great artistic abilities. And then he actually hugs Rosario and gives her a gremlin smile – and how convenient that he’s had this change of heart just now. He adds that her husband would have felt the same, had he seen her. Rosario hears some noise behind her and we’re all waiting for Big Sam to finally face her, but it’s just JD – for once in his life coming to her dressing room uninvited.
Gaby arrives at the Bar, too, and sees Sarita dance with Dimi. He’s fawning all over her, but she’s barely into it, apologizes if she’s not dancing better, it’s been a long time since she hasn’t danced with anyone but her husband. Dimi thinks this might bring back difficult memories, Sarita tries to make it clear that she’s only here to support Andres.
Gaby tells Jimena that she doesn’t like to see her mom dance with Dimi, she still sees him as a harasser.
Gunther leaves (in slow motion) and Rosario calls for Muriel, assuming that’s why JD’s here. He says he liked the show, she’s good, and then ads that she’s very beautiful (dude!). She thinks this is not much of a congratulations, how about a hug instead? They hug and she kisses his neck, which he actually enjoys! (DUDE!)
Have we stepped into the twilight zone all of a sudden? Whatever he’s smoking, can’t end up well…
Muriel arrives to see the hug, but JD clings to her for dear life, saying that she was so sexy, he loved her performance (me feels like you’re overcompensating a bit, boy). Muriel asks JD to join her to her room, she forgot something there. Rosario looks on, but she has to be happy with herself.
In the room JD once again says he loved Muriel’s voice, he’ll become her manager if she wants to; she says that even when performing she can’t stop looking at him. And they start making out on her bed for a while, but then he adds that he’s afraid her career will make her want to move far away. Muriel assures him that if that were to happen, she’d take him with her. And back to kissing for a while, then he offers to take this some place else. Panchita arrives to see them kissing through the opened door and asks Muriel to go downstairs, people are waiting for her.
At the orphanage they discover that Duvan is missing. They call Oscar to let him know. Oscar goes to ask what happened, and finds out the last time Duvan was seen was at 9 pm. They realized something was odd when they heard the dogs barking very early in the morning – that’s when Teresa, the lady in charge, noticed Duvan was not in his bed. He probably left through an opened window, the only problem is that on the other side of that window there is only the river. They also mention the cops were called but couldn’t find the boy, either.
At Oscar’s house, Jimena calls and Bertha answers. She’s happy Bertha is home, but Oscar is not around. Bertha tells Jimena what happened with Duvan and that Oscar went to the mill house hoping to find his son there. Jimena says she won’t call Oscar, but can Bertha keep her up to date?
Oscar and Cosme arrive at the house, but it’s locked. Cosme opens the door but the house is empty. Oscar is very worried, says that if he loses Duvan, too, he won’t be able to stand it.
Muriel and a bare chested JD are somewhere in a field drinking champagne and feeding each other… it has to be still early morning. A guy is following them and taking pictures, and they eventually spot him. Muriel and JD follow him and ask what he is after. The guy pretends he was taking pictures of the lagoon, says he belongs to another ranch. They see he has a gun and JD asks him to leave, since this is private property. The guy goes away and JD asks Muriel to calm down and let the guy leave, he had a gun, he doesn’t want her to get hurt.
Oscar gets home and Bertha encourages him to talk to his family, but he thinks they can’t help either. He even called the police, thinking that Duvan might be there, searching for Romina, but no luck. Oscar then gets a call from someone who apparently has Duvan.
At Sarita’s place, Jimena feels sad and her sister asks if she’s sad about Duvan or her husband. Does she plan to leave her spot open for Romina? Jimena can’t get over eight years of lies. Sarita reminds her the Reyes brothers always keep secrets, even if they love them. Jimena asks if Sarita is thinking about something in particular and Sarita admits she thinks about Franco when she says this. She knows he loved her and the kids a lot, but he still abandoned them. She will never forget him or believe all the explanations he’d given her about having to leave. And what did the other Reyes men do? Nothing! Jimena asks if Sarita believes Juan and Oscar are covering for something and Sarita is sure they are. Never asking a question about Franco, never mentioning him or asking her how she’s doing, it’s not normal. Why doesn’t she ask them, then? Because they are going to lie, they are like this, so what’s the point to find out a truth that could be more hurtful than his absence?
Lo and behold, stop everything that you’re doing!
We have a Franco Reyes sighting. And it’s not a flashback, it’s Franco in the flesh and blood. He has a big beard, a short haircut and is wearing prison orange (a very dirty, stayed in the sun far too long, orange) and he is digging in a field. It looks like hard labor, as he’s not the only one doing it and there are armed men around, guarding the workers. All of a sudden the men start fighting and one guy almost chokes Franco to death with a shovel, but a well pointed gunshot calms everyone. All the prisoners stand up and raise their hands in panicked submission.
Back to Sarita and Jimena, Sarita reminds her sister they are Elizondo women, they have to keep living. So she decided to give Dimi an opportunity. At first she didn’t trust him because of Gaby, and she didn’t like him either, but why not, life goes on. The sisters hug, they both look heartbroken.
It boggles the mind that Sarita would think about dating Dimi, last night she could barely dance with him.
Oscar has arrived to Madrina’s house and barges inside calling for Duvan. She asks him to be patient and calm down; she called him because she wants to help him, but she has to be careful with Divan. The boy is OK, he came straight here from the orphanage because he trusts her. She can take care of him, but she can’t allow Oscar to see him today. Oscar gets mad, Madrina mentions the cops – she told them she is Romina’s madrina and can take care of the child and the cops agreed. Oscar can’t see him, but he can speak to him on the phone.
Sarita and Jimena are still talking, now outside. Jimena can’t even think about talking to Oscar now, but it’s hard after so many years and sharing so many things. Sarita understands, she felt the same about Franco. Jimena urges Sarita to be careful with Dimi, especially since Andres and Gaby dislike him so much. Sarita says the kids will never approve of anyone other than their father – but they are both grown now and one of these days they will leave the house – what about her then?
Jimena then asks if Dimi is the right guy for her, could he replace Franco? Sarita is adamant, nobody could ever replace Franco, the love of her life. Never. Jimena remembers how special Franco was with Sarita and her sister says she’s not searching for someone like Franco. Bertha calls to say that Duvan was found with someone from Romina’s family. Jimena asks her to keep calling with news and feels relieved. Sarita is happy, too.
Oscar speaks with Duvan on the phone, asks why he left. Duvan says he knows his mom did a lot of harm to Jimena and he loves her a lot, but he wants to get back to his mom. Oscar asks if he’d like to live with him. Duvan would like that, but he doesn’t want to cause problems, he’d rather be with his madrina for now. Oscar says he’s his dad and he worries, so no more running away, because if something happened to him, he’d die.
Oscar goes to tell the twins, Juan and Norma what happened with Duvan. He’s OK for now, but he’s very worried because the cops are not doing anything against Romina. Norma is frustrated, too, because they don’t believe her, so Oscar says they need the gun, but where to find it? Juan tells Oscar to speak to Jimena and convince her to talk to the cops (hasn’t she done that already??), but Oscar says that right now he and Jimena only have a business relationship. Juan and Norma reaffirm their support for Oscar.
Andres and Albin come to Sarita’s place with a gift. They hear some noise, could it be Dimi? Gaby arrives to say that she’s furious, because Sarita and Jimena left a while ago and Dimi took advantage of this to start breaking down walls in their dad’s office. Andres is shocked, too, Gaby assures him Sarita never warned her about any of this and she’s not answering her phone. She’s tired to fight with the guy, she’s going to school now.
Andres goes to stop Dimi, calls him an idiot. This is not his house, Dimi agrees, but Sarita authorized this. Andres says this is not only his mom’s house and nobody touches his dad’s things. Dimi says his father stopped existing years ago, so Andres gets furious, he won’t allow this guy to ruin his memories of his father. As Albin looks on, Andres asks Dimi to leave. Dimi reminds him he’s a friend of the family, Andres doesn’t care about this. Dimi asks Andres to go back to his music and leave real work to men (I guess he means OTHER men, because he wasn’t doing any of the work, either, he had another guy break down the walls). Albin intervenes to ask respect for Andres, if he asked him to go, then leave. Dimi thinks Albin must have an interest in the house, too, so Albin starts beating on him.
This is much deserved, but Sarita and Jimena arrivejust then and of course Dimi starts whining like a little b!tch (sorry, but the guy gets to me sooo much) . Andres says Dimi was trying to destroy his father’s study, Sarita is more focused on the violence part. She asks Dimi to leave and then questions Albin. Albin explains Dimi was being rude to Andres (tell her exactly what was said!!) and Andres shows her his father’s study. Sarita says she allowed Dimi to do that, and, by the way, where is his father if he doesn’t like it?
Muriel and JD are in bed, still talking about the guy who was taking pictures. Muriel says this is her father’s MO, he used to do it with her mother. JD now understands better why Rosario left him. Was Muriel never scared of him, too? No, he never did anything like that against her, just her mom. And she says it in such a casual way, even JD seems thrown off, but just for a second, because he has better things to do. He hopes the guy’s not watching now, but if he is, he hopes he enjoys the show. They laugh and get back to it and I find the whole thing incredibly upsetting, especially after JD's reaction to Rosario's kiss and how they were able to continue their romantic interlude after finding out they are being watched and photographed!! All these people are so messed up!
Jimena tells Gaby what happened, she’s sad the study has been destroyed. Her dad spent a lot of time in there, especially the days before he left. That’s’ why she and her brother wanted to keep it like their father had left it. Jimena understand and Gaby is furious this guy came and destroyed everything just like that. Her father was very reserved, but spent a lot of time in his study. Jimena then mentions Dimi and the possibility Sarita might start something with him. Gaby gets freaked out, she’d never accept that guy. Jimena tries to backtrack and calm Gaby…what about her… is she in love? Gaby says she hasn’t been able to make the distinction between friendship and love yet (what will you be avble to do for Nino when you decide that you do love him then?). Jimena promises to always be there for her. Gaby goes to sleep, and it’s only then that Jimena sees something is stuck in one of the holes created by Dimi’s men. She makes a bigger hole with the hammer and manages to retrieve a big envelope. It’s wrapped in plastic, but when she opens the files she gets big, startled eyes.
And we end on this. Come on!!
Wow Adriana! Wonderful recap! Detailed to perfection! And ITA with you on so many points! These people appear to blow in the wind like the wisps of the dandelion weed. I don’t get a true sense of standing in your principles from JD, or Oscar, or even Sarita at this point. JD did enjoy the hug and kisses from Rosario, yet claims to love Muriel! Always talks about his fear of losing her, yet is playing a dangerous game with her mother! There is no way that he should come within 2 feet of Rosario ever, especially alone! I’m not liking JD right about now cause he’s appearing way too confused for me, and will end up losing Muriel because of his stupidity and uncertainty. The way he has been presented to us, and his actions don’t jive. And really, how could they continue to “get it on” after the incident with the photographer!?!? Kinda sick when you think about it.
Then Sarita, who, I understand is probably a little lonely, and angry with Franco because he just up and left, is seriously thinking about a relationship with Demetrio! I get that she doesn’t know what we do about Demetrio, but to even consider any man who has stalked your daughter!! Hell to the NO! You can’t come within 2 feet of me or my daughter ever! Never, ever! Then to allow him to do renovations to your house!!! WTFUDGE! Is he a contractor or interior designer??? What’s his vision for the room? What’s your vision for the room Sarita?!?! Just to get rid of memories of Franco?!? Knowing Dimi, he was probably looking for what Jimena got to first——-I wouldn’t put it past him!
Then Oscar, who we know shouldn’t win any Father of the year awards! He’s so busy crying over Jimena and now Duvan, instead of doing everything that he can to not allow Romina within 2 ft of Duvan or anybody in that family! I understand that he must walk a fine line where Duvan is concerned because Romina is his mother, but that crazy witch hurts people with malice and intent! There’s more you can do instead of crying about there’s no rifle for evidence! Set her crazy azz up! Make her hang her own self, especially cause the cops are about to set her free! Use your stupid noodle Oscar!
I’m glad Franco is on his way, but can he do much to save this weird ( no pun intended Weirdo) box of Froot Loops? Also, will Rosario’s husband be a help or a hindrance? This story, right now, needs all the help it can get! And you know what, Sarita telling Jimena that the Reyes brothers must know something regarding Franco and his whereabouts, makes a whole lot of sense!
Thanks again Adriana! A lot of food for thought here!
JUANITA: Good observation/good Eye..!!
Yes...I watched her bury her DZIKR BEADS... and gave her ...'Intention'... and I can only assume/like you that this woman is Leaving a Prayer/Dua [Hopefully ] of contrition.......
....We just left Ramadan ..in which ,the last 10..[ 10 Nights-of-Power]..night prayers were for FORGIVENESS........'ALLAH FORGIVE ME-I BEG FOR FORGIVENESS- ALLAH LOVES TO FORGIVE'..in repetition/meditation and practice...outcome:provides more blessing than 1000 months of prayers....
This Dua is a common Janazah/ Gravesite prayers..[Masallah]..
She has been working this ..'DUA'....with everybody..in her Ayse conversion for a minute.. When she has placed the request for forgiveness within this Dua/Sunnah.... that's why folks had to consider her request..
....as this soap was the NUMBER #1 dizi during Ramadaan...[ along with...'Black Crows'....MasAllah] ..the writers pulled on this tradition....
.....then she goes and blows up-the-joint..??!!
Thank you Adriana! Fantastic recap as usual and yeah can't rush past the long awaited moment!! You know I had to watch this first time this morning and what a nice surprise to see your recap already posted!!! :) You caught the spirit of this episode so completely I just nodding and said yep, through the whole thing!
These people are weird, this town is weird, the reactions are weird, the interactions are weird and most ESPECIALLY the relationship between Rosi-JD- Muriel has become super WEIRD!!! Samuel is clearly creepy weird! Who sends photographers to document their daughter's romantic date? It would be one thing if he didn't know where she was or what she was doing, but he knows full well she's dating JD and off on a romantic date what does he need pictures for?? And it's even got weird that the neighboring farm is available whenever as their sexual hideaway. I can see visiting, having lunch, going for a swim or whatever; but who lends out their bedrooms to the neighbor kid for his hook-ups? It's all weird!! They started off as this cute - albeit odd because of the Rosi connection - romance and now their whole connection is just odd.
I laughed at this! ' Dimi asks Andres to go back to his music and leave real work to men (I guess he means OTHER men, because he wasn’t doing any of the work, either, he had another guy break down the walls).' You are so right!!! Albin's beatdown of Dimi seemed like overkill but I didn't care, he deserved it!!!! Albin should have hit him a few more times. As disturbing as the Dimi/Sarita connection is I can almost understand it. Sara wants to move on as a matter of principle but she doesn't have the heart or the inclination to put any actual effort, interest, or emotion into the process so she looks at the first guy who shows interest and shrugs, 'I guess he'll do'! Yeah she kind of hates him and the kids do too, but we are all going to hate the new guy no matter what, so I guess he'll do! Too bad, the first guy is such a b!tch as you so accurately put it!!! And a murdering rapist/stalker to boot!! No Sara! Don't copy your mother's taste in men!!!
Okay enough about all those people....FRANCO IS BACK!!!! YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY!!! FRANCO!! I am so glad Sarita said what she said about how Juan and Oscar are probably hiding something about him because it has NEVER made sense to me that he disappeared and his brothers did nothing! Of course it also makes no sense that the Reyes brothers can lie to the Elizondo sisters for years and they shrug and say 'that's how they are' WTH???
I am really glad it was Jimena who found the ________, well whatever it is that she found because we don't know yet!!! Jimena needs something better to do than cry, worried, be terrified, and fight with Oscar. Please writers let her get involved in the search for Franco and recover some of her spunk!!!!
Darcy, it was quite an episode, was it not?
I was paying close attention to Sarita's talk to Jimena about Franco - it did answer some of our questions about Franco not being mentioned EVER. It has to mean that Juan and Oscar do know something and they are keeping silent for their brother. It's sad that Sarita would say the Reyes men are secretive as it's no big deal and Jimena just goes along, but I guess this is a bit true to life. The guys had it in them to lie to these women for a long time (even as they were falling in love) - everything was fine and dandy at the end of PDG but it's not out of the ordinary to think that the Reyes guys still kept a sort of "us against the world" way of thinking even as they grew older. Especially with something as serious as Franco's situation. Maybe they were just trying to protect the rest of his family, knowing that Sarita would go after him if she knew the whole truth.
I was very bothered by Norma showing her support for Oscar so upfront. This is the same woman who threw her husband out of the house after she found him kissing another women (an act that had nothing sexual or intimate in it).
Yeah, these people are all so weird and JD has gone from boyscout to "just there". He just fills space, plays favorite son every now and agan, but what has he done worth mentioning lately? And last night was all kinds of WTF. He finds a guy taking pictures of himself and his girlfriend in an intimate moment, but he just goes along and continues with the "rent a bedroom" romantic interlude. Juan at least rented a glamping site for his reconciliation with Norma.
I completeley agree with your description of Sarita's intentions with Dimi. He's there, he's willing, so why not? Let's hope she manages to hold back the gag reflex, Viewerville definitely won't.
Carmella, thank you for the comment, I somehow missed it earlier.
I agree that suggesting that Juan and Oscar know something about Franco is believable, considering what we've seen so far and what we know about the Reyes men. I have to give kudos to the writers for coming up with this explanation when introducing Franco, which was not supposed to be part of the series at all. Or maybe they left thinsg ambigous on purpose, hoping to get Michel Brown to change his mind eventually.
As for Sam or Franco's ability to save the show... I don't know if the writers have any intention of changing anything. This is such a huge mess, I've learned to take it as it is and enjoy the idiocy - I'm very good at that.
I still have storylines that I care about, like Duvan having a decent family with Jimena (sans Oscar, if possible), Franco getting his family back, Gabs eating dirt when she realizes who Dimi truly is, everything Juan&Norma, the only sane couple this story has right now... I even want the twins to find some peace of mind and find out what happened with that darned professor. And I kind of care about Rosario, too, she was a broken woman when we first met her and living with Big Sam for the last 20 years didn't help heal her wounds.
Unfortunately Sarita is basing her decision to “date” Demetrio on assumption and emotions. Instead of thinking that he just left her, cause she knows he loved her, she should be questioning whether something dire or bad happened to to him, and demand from Juan and Oscar what they know about Franco! He is her husband after all! Assuming the worse of him is going to either get her killed or Gaby raped……just saying….
I agree that JD is “just there.” Hopefully the writers are making him be more cognizant about the difference between love and lust. That could only serve to make him a better man in the long run. But the mother/ daughter storyline thingy just disgusts me! I’m glad you are a champion for Rosario, cause I just want her to drive off a cliff! Lol….not really, but I do want her to move on from JD and love herself first. I do think that the bar has helped her some in that respect…….
Hercai 2, #113 – El que Mal Actúa, Mal Acaba – Parte 1 de 2
This was mostly a very pleasant, lighthearted episode, full of moments of families sharing some milestones together.
ReyMir are on the swing on the patio talking about Zeynep and Firat expecting a child. Annoying Miran keeps teasing her about spilling the beans before Firat himself is told by Zeynep.
Firat brings the Yellow Centipede home. She keeps thinking it’s a visit and that they’ll go back to the Aslanbey konak. When her parents come down, she gets a backhand from Handan for having aborted her grandchild. In Yaren’s room Handan contrasts her with Reyyan, who was willing to die for her child. Then Handan locks her in.
A week later. Rey shows Miran Umut’s bedroom while he teases her again about whether he likes it. [This constant smirk of his drives me nuts.]
Miran has bought Rey a red car, and she takes him for a drive. [Mahfuz would have been my choice..]
Handan brings Yaren some food and tells her that she won’t be the lady of the Aslanbey konak.
Azra is telling Azize, Miran and Reyyan about Fusun’s injuries. She cannot walk or speak ever again. It’s a spinal injury. Azra says that she’s leaving the following day. She gets a Martyr of the Year award because she’s taking the former Old Gasbag with her and will care for her. [I say former Old Gasbag because some of the gas must have been released when the bullet went in.]
ReyMir are fussing over Umut, who’s up later than usual. He smiles! This kid is very cute. Miran takes him to a patio to move him around in his stroller so as to put him to sleep. We see the Yellow Centipede looking on from next door. [I guess Handan screwed up and forgot to lock her in after bringing her food.] Yaren threatens something first for Reyyan and then for Zeynep. “I know what I’ll do!”
There is a big party in the works to celebrate the circumcision of Umut. This appears to be like a Jewish celebration after a bris.
Reyyan walks down some stone stairs with Umut in her arms. Her idiot husband sends a box of rubber balls down the staircase. [I fully expected her to fall down those stairs. The Caray patio has often referred to these events as escalericides so we’re always expecting the worst.]
Rey Is a nervous wreck throughout most of the leading up to the circumcision.
Firat finds a house for Zeynep, who doesn’t look pleased. We later find out that what she wants is for Esma to live with them so their child will grow up with its grandmother. Esma is over the moon about the pregnancy.
Hercai 2, #113 – El que Mal Actúa, Mal Acaba – Parte 2 de 2
The doctor is at the Not-So-Hopeless konak and the males who surround Reyyan (Mahfuz, Cihan, Miran and Nasuh) reassure her it’s not so painful. Miran says that Cihan will be the kirve. Mr. Google tells me that this is like a boy baby’s godfather in attendance at his circumcision. Cihan looks human. His face softens and he’s so proud to have the honor. [Maybe Umut will get an opportunity to yank off the toupee someday soon.]
Azize comes to see Fusun. This was so well acted, and I’ll probably include everything she said. She tries to feed Fu. She says that she won’t kill her. She’d rather have visited her tomb, but she wanted to come see her pay for her sins.
Nasuh gets a call from Seyda about Azize being at the Aslanbey konak.
Fusun doesn’t seem to be swallowing the soup and some dribbles on her. Azize: “The terrible Fusun can’t wipe soup from her mouth. She’ll depend on others the rest of her life. This consoles my heart. Now you’ll wish to die. I’ll consider this a victory, my only consolation. You destroyed my life. You killed my granddaughter and then my son, two innocents. Thanks to me you’ll live peacefully the rest of your days. I raised Azra so well that she’s capable of showing mercy to a monster like you. She’ll care for you until you die. But Azra will never love you. This will be your punishment.”
Nasuh and Miran arrive and piss me off. They start in on Azize, especially MeRan, who’s had to leave the celebration. I feel that Azize well deserved that time with Fusun. She tells them that she gave up her vengeance as she promised but needed to tell Fusun some things. She walks away, saying they’ll never see her as Ayse. This is her punishment for the harm she did to them.
Seyda begs to come back to the SAD konak, and Miran brings him.
Handan and Cihan talk about gifts for Umut at the party. He plans to give him a small watch enclosed in glass that Hazar gave him at the age of 14.
We see Reyyan enter Umut’s bedroom only to see that the kid is in the tentacles of a snake…being held by Yaren.
Juanita noticed that I posted the recap to the wrong page. So here it is. Better late than never.
Thanks very much, novelera, for this excellent short recap. Several of us, including me, have at times posted recaps and comments on the wrong page. Welcome to the Oops Club!
I loved your side comments, especially "[I say former Old Gasbag because some of the gas must have been released when the bullet went in.]" and "[Maybe Umut will get an opportunity to yank off the toupee someday soon.]" I also agree with what you say about the scene between Azize and Fusun, and I'm very glad you included Azize's very compelling dialogue.
I may be wrong, but my recollection is that when Reyyan walked down the konak's stairs and a bunch of balls come falling down in her path, her idiot husband wasn't responsible for them. IIRC, two men who were carrying boxes up or down the stairs collided with each other at the top of the stairs, and the balls fell out of one of the boxes. (That still leaves at least 1,386, 473 stupid things for which her idiot husband IS responsible!)
Reyyan drove me nuts with her terror at the thought of Umut being circumcised. It's understandable that she is uncomfortable, but I found her extreme and prolonged terror just annoying. [This is not a statement either pro or anti circumcision--it's just my dislike of how Reyyan responded.]
Cihan seems certainly on the Dizi Path to Redemption. Another sign of that is his plan to give Umut the watch Hazar gave to him at age 14. IIRC, it was their father's watch.
With three days left, I fear we'll have two days of terror from the Yellow Centipede, followed by a HEA in the gran final. ¡Ojalá!

Love your recap novelera ! It may be short on length, but it covered the content more than sufficiently. Things are definitely starting to look up in the house of Umut, lol. Everyone is smiling and it doesn’t seem like they need a reason to celebrate anymore! Let’s just celebrate for the sake of celebrating!! The dropping of the balls was very dangerous, and I’m glad Reyyan didn’t move until it was safe. Reyyan also got on my nerves with the circumcision thing! I’ve assisted in many a circumcision, and even though it causes some pain, it’s best to get it done, if you’re gonna, as early as possible. With a skilled doctor, it only takes 5-10 mins for the whole procedure. She was truly over doing it!
Lol at the Old gasbag! Truth be told, in her paralyzed state, she no longer has control of “holding it in,” and it can now flow freely leaving Fu less bloated and gassy looking! Her and Azize will always have enmity between them, it’s just a one sided verbal fight now. Can’t say I miss Fu’s endless threats though, or that she’s unable to talk. Won’t miss that voice of hers at all! Azra is a good daughter . She doesn’t deserve what’s she’s taking on. Nasuh and Miran got on my nerves too. I get why they are the way they are, but stop trying to circumvent everything Azize does! Miran, especially, has other more important things to focus on! Loved how Sendai got the hell outta there! He’s had his bag packed since he moved in, lol!
All that’s left, with the change of hearts of Cihan and Handan, is Yaren. Get the straight jacket ready!
Great recap, novelera, thanks for stepping in!
LOL, “former Old Gasbag”. That’s one scent I wouldn’t want to encounter.
Hard to believe Miran was always going to choose Cihan as the kirve? Another LOL, the thought of Umut ripping the toupee off his uncle.
I think we all can agree…why didn’t they take Yaren straight to the manicomio?
Novelera, thank you for yet another excellent retelling as we are about to slide into homeplate with this saga.
I was surprised about the circumcision because in Kara Para Ask there was a huge neighborhood circumcision street party for a little boy who seemed about 10 or so years old who was all dressed up and wearing a crown. Perhaps different parts of Turkey have different customs.
