Caray, Caray!

 Hey, JudyB, looks like we are down to jelly beans for tonight so what I can say for sure is that this episode was much better than the snacks! 

1. Granny Magos is in her room with Ben who is coloring. She is in a great deal of pain. There is knocking at the door and Ben goes down see who it is. It is Olga who has come to see his father. Ben runs away from her and tries to hide from her under the coffee table. Olga can't believe they would've left him all alone. She calls out to Chente and Granny Magos. There is no answer.  She stomps loudly and drags Ben out from his hiding place.  She holds him in place and asks him if he is happy that his father is with that old lady. Ben nods. She take delight in informing him that she is going to do the same to her that she did to his mother. She torments him showing him a picture of his mother and telling him how she killed his mother by using witchcraft. Ben starts crying and trying to get a hold of the picture as she pushes him around. She adds that she has used her black magic on Granny Magos so she would get sick and end up like his mother. She grabs his face so she can deliver her warning up close and personal. If he  continues behaving badly, she is going to do the same thing to  Natalia for getting in between her and his father. As he continues crying, she asks how he likes that. He continues to cry in terror.

2.  Fernanda has dropped by Natalia's and meets her on the street. She is inviting her out to eat because she wants to hear about everything. She wants the details. She even cancelled a meeting. Natalia invites her into the house. Fernanda says that won't work because they won't be able to talk freely. She won't even allow Natalia to bring her potatoes and spices into the house. A happy Natalia gets in her SUV and they leave. 

3. Granny Magos is in pain and calls out for help in the house from upstairs. Ben tries to free himself to go help her. Olga holds him back and  tells him that is not happening. Olga calls out to Granny Magos who   asks her to go get her grandsons because she needs them. Olga yells back not to worry and that she will be going right away. She informs Ben that she isn't going to tell anyone because she hopes that Granny Magos dies.  Let's see what he can do! She calls out to Granny Magos one more time assuring her that she is going to get her grandsons and leaves but not before indicating to Ben that she has her eye on him. Ben is left hysterical as Granny Magos tries to make her way down the stairs in agony. 

4.  Ben stands petrified and sobbing. He tries so hard to talk but he is unable to utter a sound. Granny Magos is on the stairs and tells him not to be afraid and tells him to come sit with her. There is a knock at the door. Ben runs to open it expecting his father or one of his uncles. Instead, he is surprised by somebody he does not know. It is Adrián. 

5. Mario has brought his sister's ashes to a mausoleum where a priest is giving them proper funereal blessings.  Chole, Tavo, Vale and a small group of unknowns watch  as he places the ashes in their final resting place. Vale tries to comfort him. 

6. Adrián looks down quizzically at Ben. He kindly touches Ben's face and asks him what is going on. How is Natalia? Ben grabs his hand and leads him into the house to his grandmother. She asks who he is. He asks if she is feeling okay and introduces himself: Adrián Cantú: Natalia's husband.

7. Chente's brothers notice he is in a different world this morning because he is stuck on Natalia.. He admits that Natalia is not only a novia but a dream come true.  All JuanGa can do is remember how when he was like that walking in the clouds because of his Olga. Chente tells him to give it a rest. The harder he looks,  the less likely it is that he will find the right woman.

8. Adrián calmly asks Granny Magos how he can help her. She says she doesn't feel very well but he needn't concern himself. As Ben continues crying and Adrián stands there with his hands on his hips surveying the living room, Granny Magos says that her grandsons should be getting here soon. Natalia isn't there but she will tell her that he came to see her.  Adrián makes it clear that he isn't planning on moving until an ambulance arrives. He asks if she has the phone numbers of her grandsons.  Granny Magos says that isn't necessary and sends Ben upstairs for her handbag where she has her doctor's number. Adrián insists that Granny Magos needs to be in a hospital adding that the little boy is frightened. It isn't good that he sees her like that. Granny Magos starts praying as a concerned Adrián looks on. She doesn't want her great grandson see her die and have to go through that again. Ben comes down with her handbag. Adrián asks her to trust him and tells her he is going to take her to the hospital. They will contact her doctor on the way. Her health is the most important thing.  He helps her up and supports her as they leave the house. 

9. Natalia and Fernanda are at restaurant where Natalia is filling in Fernanda about how things went with Chente the other night. She explains how they were at a cabin at Ajusco. It was very simple but so beautiful because Chente had not missed a single detail. He had placed candles all around and flower petals as well as having brought sparkling wine. She tells Fernanda how she loves him and how he has awakened in her something she has never felt before: true love. Fernanda is happy for her knowing that Chente is a very charming and good guy.   Natalia says after the great disappointment she went through, he has made her fall madly in love. She feels very happy unless she thinks about her daughters. She is really disturbed about Andrea now.

10. Olga is walking down the street in the neighborhood and runs into Chente. The first thing she asks is how his relationship with his novia Natalia is going. He says they are doing very well thanking God they are together. She says that is great even though she is dying of unhappiness. Chente tells her not to start with that again. He says even if Natalia never had come into his life, he never would have been able to see her as she wanted him to. Olga disagrees saying that old lady took away her opportunity to win his heart and he knows it. He tells her to forget about him, go  on with her life and find some guy that can make her happy. He brings up JuanGa who was crazy about her and all she did was break his heart. Olga says JuanGa couldn't compare with him. Chente makes the point  that  she needs to find somebody she can love who is going to love her back; somebody she give all of her pent up love to. Does she understand  that? He is out of there. 

11. Back at lunch, Fernanda assures Natalia that Andrea will reconsider everything. Just looking at how happy and smiling Natalia is, makes Fernanda admit she would like a love story like hers. Natalia cannot believe that her forever single friend is saying that. Natalia would like to see Fernanda as happy as she is. Fernanda complains she only gets the attention of married men who want a fling and all of the interesting single guys she knows are gay.  Fernanda is afraid that she enjoys her independence too much. She is too demanding to be a part of a couple. She also doesn't have time with the  effort she has to invest in her job and relationships require time. Natalia  encourages  her that she can find somebody.  Fernanda adds that the majority of men are jealous of a woman who earns more than they do. Natalia concludes saying she found love when she least expected it and that could happen to Fernanda. Fernanda's expression shows that she doesn't think it can happen to her even though she would like it to.

12. Mario has a moment at the mausoleum vault with his sister's ashes. Only Tavo is left to comfort him as Mario says he would have liked to have seen his sister one last time and have talked to her. He wanted her to know that in spite of everything, he still loved her. He is afraid that her feeling guilty about doing everything she did is what maybe caused her to take her own life. Tavo says there is nothing worse than being angry with your own blood.  He advises Tavo  to tell her, wherever she is,  that he holds nothing against her. That is the only way her she will find eternal rest. 

13. Fernanda tells Natalia that unfortunately, people misjudge other people all the time because they have no idea what those people have been through just like in the the case of her and Chente. Natalia thinks it would be absurd for a woman of her age to be concerned about what people were going to say about her. Fernanda offers her a toast with a cup of coffee: "To hell with what they will say!" Natalia has decided to take the risk because a guy like Chente is truly unique. Fernanda adds just like Natalia is. She is very brave defending how she feels. Natalia adds she has the right to be happy like anyone else. Fernanda says she can depend on her unconditionally. Natalia offers her the same. 

14. Andrea and Regina are out walking at the club where Andrea is informing her she made reservations for them both for facials at the spa. It has been ages since Regina has been there but there  are no worries because Andrea now has a membership and can get her in anytime she wants. Regina remarks how Connie gives her everything. Is an Aspen vacation next? Andrea reminds her she is pregnant so she cannot stand her belly that causes her terrible pain and  not being able to wear clothing she wants.  Andrea asks how her mother is doing with her "Mexican curiosity"?  Regina says it is going better every day. She is very much in love with Don Chente. Andrea shushes her because she is afraid that the other club members will hear her. Regina thought that her sister could be a little happy for their mother. Regina admits it is hard for her to see their mother with anyone else but her mother is happy and she deserves that. She suggests that Andrea go and visit her. She misses her  a lot. Andrea says her mother had the chance to choose between her Chente and her daughter and she made her decision. Regina calls her super selfish. Andrea wants to drop that topic but has to add that she doesn't think her relationship will be lasting long anyway. Their father is  out of jail and when he finds out about Natalia's relationship, he will be the first one to block it. A shocked Regina asks how she found out their father was out of jail.  Mario told her. She thinks he has been out for a few weeks. What Andrea doesn't get is why he hasn't contacted her. She really needs to talk to him. 

15. Fernanda brings Natalia home. Natalia wants Fernanda to try her tortilla expañola so she can get her honest opinion. Natalia gets a call from an unknown number. It is Adrián who tells her it is her HUSBAND calling. He stopped by the house and found the little boy crying and Granny Magos in a very bad way. He has Ben with him at the hospital where Fernanda has her office. He bought the boy some ice cream as they wait for the doctor to give them some news. Natalia says she is on her way. Adrián smirks and says they will be waiting for her. He smiles at Ben and feeds him the sundae spoon by spoon. 

16. Vale stops by Chente's to pick up some spare parts. Chente says they haven't arrived yet. She mentions how bad she feels for JuanGa. Chente has to agree that he changed girlfriends like he changed his shoes. First, he got stuck on Chole but she didn't give him the  time of day. Vale explains that was because she had it bad for Tavo. Then there was Olga who made him suffer and suffer.  Vale says just like Olga is suffering for him. Chente says Olga just doesn't get it but he wishes her well just like he does his brother. He is certain that each of them will find their "better half" some day. Vale mentions how happy he looks now that he is going out with Natalia. He has to admit that he is in love. He gets a phone call from Natalia, hears about Granny Magos and is on his way to the hospital.  That is the one place he really  doesn't want to go to. 

17. Regina tells Andrea that when she went to see her father at the jail he said she said some really awful things to him. She cannot forgive him for everything that he did to them.  Andrea tries to impress on her that their father is sorry. He even asked Andrea to help him win their mother back so,  of course, she will help him to get  her mother away from Chente.  Omar's friend Mau appears and Andrea decides she needs to start her facial early so she doesn't have to face a traitor. She leaves and Regina talks to him saying that Andrea's upset with him because of Omar.  Regina cannot believe that Omar would have been such a super coward to leave Andrea behind with her being pregnant. That is news to Mau. Regina asks if he didn't see Andrea's little belly. Regina leaves to join Andrea and the Mau is left looking upset.

18. Vale goes running to the garage to tell Chente's brothers that their granny is in the hospital.  They leave running to get there ASAP.

19. Natalia has arrived at the hospital and is comforting Ben. Adrián tells her that Fernanda is checking on how Granny Magos is doing. Natalia thanks him from the bottom of her heart for what he did for Granny Magos but also tells him that he can leave now. He asks if he could stay just to see if Granny Magos is out of danger. Natalia says no. Natalia thanks him again for what he did but says she is taking charge from here. Fernanda comes out to tell them that Granny Magos arrived in very serious condition. They had to intervene immediately. Thank God they arrived in time. They saved her life. Adrián smiles. Natalia asks to see her. Fernanda tells her that is not possible because they are prepping her for surgery. Natalia says she just wants to help give her strength. Fernanda gives in and a smiling Adrián volunteers to stay with Ben. Natalia tells a crying Ben she will be back ASAP and he needn't worry. 

20. As Adrián comforts Ben, he thinks about how the old lady's illness has given him the opportunity to look like a hero in front of Natalia. He smiles again in self-satisfaction. 

21. Mario arrives at the garage asking Vale if she would know where Natalia is because nobody is at Chente's. She tells him about Granny Magos' emergency. He makes sure that Vale knows that when he went to see Natalia  it was for only business purposes. He asks if she has already eaten. She has but if he is inviting her out, she will gladly do a repeat. He offers to take her out to supper that night instead. She accepts. He will pick her up. 

22. Natalia is able to see Granny Magos right before she goes to the operating room. Granny Magos is confused and afraid. She begs Natalia to swear that she will take care of her grandsons if something happens to her. Natalia tries to calm her telling her that she will be just fine. The doctor agrees to give Granny Magos five minutes to talk to Natalia in private before taking her into surgery. Granny Magos is in full panic not thinking she will survive the surgery and wants to know how she can escape. She begs Natalia not to let them take her to the slaughter house.  She needs to say goodbye to her grandsons. She wants to see them. Natalia says she will see them again right after the surgery. Granny Magos is particularly concerned about Ben having seen her so sick. She felt so bad that she prayed to the Virgin that he would not see her die like he saw his mother.  Natalia assures her that Ben will be fine. Granny Magos  says that man who used to be Natalia's husband came by a the right time. If it hadn't been for him, she never would have made it.  She just hopes that his reappearance won't change what Natalia feels for her grandson. Natalia explains that Adrián was her past but Chente is her present and she loves him with all of her heart. The five minutes are up and the  doctor is back. It is time for surgery. Natalia says she will see her in a little bit. Granny Magos wants Natalia to make sure that her grandsons know that she loves them and will be taking care of them along with Lucía6from heaven. Natalia tells her that she needs to have faith because everything will be fine. She promises her that. They finally roll Granny Magos away as Natalia prays. 

23. Chente arrives just as Natalia is coming back to the waiting room. Adrián steps forward and hands Ben over to his father. Adrián doesn't  miss a chance to make sure Chente knows who he is.  Hegrabs Natalia's hand and tells Chente that he and his wife have made sure that Granny Magos was well taken care of. Natalia wrenches her hand away. Chente is clearly simmering away while Adrián has one especially big smile for him. Natalia explains to Chente that his granny is in surgery and  how serious her condition was. It clearly upsets him to hear that. Adrián tells Chente that fortunately he went to see his wife and Granny Magos was all alone with the little boy. Chente is surprised to hear that Adrián was the one who took Granny Magos to the hospital. Natalia adds he got her there just in time to save her life. Adrián says it was the least that he could do. Chente says he is grateful for what Adrián did. Adrián suggests that since Chente is here that he AND Natalia can leave. Natalia takes her place next to Chente and tells Adrián that she is staying until Granny Magos is out of surgery. Adrián decides that he will stay to keep her company. She tells him NO. She is very grateful for everything that he did but he is not staying. He finally agrees and says they can talk some other time. No worries. He puts out his hand saying good bye to Chente but Chente isn't shaking it. He tells Chente to say hello to his wife Lucía . . . wasn't it? Chente reminds him they have a conversation pending. Adrián says they will resolve the issue once and for all.  He hopes everything turns out well for his granny. He says goodbye to Ben and leaves.

24. At the beauty shop, Chole asks Olga if she has heard anything about Granny Magos. Olga says she really hasn't but they have to prepare themselves for the worst because she is very old. Chole complains  to Olga about how she always likes to be the bearer of bad omens. Olga says well, it is the truth. The woman is on bonus time for a while now. Chole is going to ask the  Virgin of Guadalupe to intercede for her. Olga has a realization that maybe she herself is being saved. There must be a curse on all of the women with a connection to Chente. First it was Lucía, now it is Magos, will Natalia be next?? Chole disgustedly says no and tells her she is canceling out even the idea of a curse. 

25. Back at the hospital, Natalia is cradling Ben on her lap. She tells Chente that she spoke to Granny Magos before surgery and that she was afraid but she managed to calm her down a bit. She doesn't know how long the surgery will take but the doctor will let them know ASAP. Chente is worried about how much the whole hospital experience is going  to cost. She tells him not to worry because Fernanda is seeing  that it is being handled through the program they have for older adults with low incomes. She tells Chente not to worry because his granny is in good hands. Chente takes Natalia on the side and asks about Adrián. Natalia says it was a total surprise to her, too, that he showed up. She makes sure that Chente understands that Adrián's return has  nothing to do with their agreement that they made on the house. He is buying it from her. He asks if it will change what they have between them. She says no because she is his. She loves him. She kisses him on the cheek and hugs him as Ben watches on.

26. Connie pays Tavo a visit at work. She says he is such an ignorant jerk that for all of this time he didn't seek her out to thank her. He asks what was he supposed to thank her for. She says she always knew that Mario  was going to sign over the property to him. She wants him to know that she isn't so cold and has a very generous heart but SHE  has been the victim wasting the best years of her life on a worm like him. He didn't want all of her fortune, he only wants his freedom. She is there to tell him that she will never give him a divorce. She wants to make him suffer forever because he left her without a child. She has the time, money and desire to do it. He will only ever be free to marry THAT hairdresser over her dead body. 

27. At the hospital, Fernanda comes to sit with the family just as 2XJosé and JuanGa arrive. Chente tells 2XJosé to take Ben over to Chole's. Ben starts crying again as they say goodbye to him. 

28. Mario takes Vale out to a very nice restaurant and she is impressed never having been at a place like it. Mario says this is just a normal place but when he starts earning like he did in the past, he will take her out to a very good place.  She thinks  that when he starts earning his millions he probably won't even remember them because they are poor. Mario says he could never forget her. She has been at his side at the worst moments and was the light that rescued him from the darkness. She tells him to stop because that will make her even love him more. Mario says it was only the truth. She smiles and says that she knows and was only running her mouth but she also knows that he only has eyes for Natalia. Mario would rather not talk about her. Vale thinks the "celotes" are getting to him with Natalia and  Chente. She explains that "celotes" is another word for "celos"  "jealousy." Mario says that Natalia was clear with him from the start that she only saw him as  a friend. Vale concludes it is just like with them. Vale tells him to give her a chance. Mario says that Vale  scares him sometimes because he has never met a woman like her. She tells him to let her win his heart. He is surprised how she is after all of that stuff she went through with Félix. Vale admits it isn't easy because she suffered a lot with that creep but you have to find the good in the bad and move on.  When she found out about his filthy intentions, she fought like a beast to get free from him.  Mario grabs her hand and tells her how he admires her. She laughs and says that is how they say  love starts. They both laugh. 

29. Olga gets a call from Vero. She thought that Vero had forgotten about her. She  tells Vero that she found a guy who will do the job for 30 (I am thinking it must be 30,000 ($1,467.00) pesos but who knows because they didn't say) before and another 30 after the deed is done. Vero says to give her a bank account number so she can make the transfer of the money. That is not possible for Olga whose check ends up in her cousin's account. There is no way she could keep it a secret. Vero can send her cash but it will take a couple of days to set up. Olga doesn't like having to wait. Vero says to get the money together herself in the mean time. Olga asks where is she supposed to get that kind of money. Vero suggests talking to that woman who wants to get rid of Natalia. Olga doesn't like that answer.

30. Tavo and Chole are staying over at Chente's to take care of Ben. Chole asks Tavo if he could imagine them at their table with a child of their own. She is dying to be a mother. All Tavo can do is remember Connie's cruel words about him not giving her a child.

31. Over dessert, Mario finds out that Vale's dream is to own her own business where she would buy old cars and repair them for resale. You can make good money. Mario thinks that maybe they could be business partners since he is always looking for more ways to generate money. Vale is pleasantly surprised and they shake on it. He says she is even an entrepreneur. She reminds him "the big dummy" (el muñecote) of all he is missing out on not being with her! He can only laugh.  

32. Chente is disturbed that a patient in an operating room needs an emergency intervention: Code Blue.  He feels it is Granny Magos. Fernanda reminds him there are many people in surgery at the same time but goes to check on Granny Magos anyway. Natalia tries to calm him down.

33. Olga calls Félix. Yes,  she knows where his cousin is but it is better that they talk in person. They set up a place and time. 

34. Everyone is nervous in the waiting room with no news about Granny Magos. Natalia tries to get JuanGa and 2XJosé to calm down.  Chente knows that his granny is old and  she is strong like an oak tree but she doesn't deserve this.  Regina arrives and hugs 2XJosé.  He tells her that there is no info about his granny and that cannot be good. 

35. Olga meets with Félix in a park. She asks how much is he willing to pay for the info on his cousin. He says she can name her price. If she can tell him where to find his cousin, he can be generous.
