Something tells me the Psycho Mustache will plot a violent attack on the Elizondo & Reyes families soon.

Big question is whether we'll see a 3rd Season ?

PASION, Thursday, Part 1 of 2

Quintina explains that Leon is not JD. Sam asks his men to put down the guns, he’s upset with the offense JD brought him. Norma explains they are all adults, nobody can interfere, and it was their choice to leave. Sam threatens Norma that if Muriel is not back soon, he will show them all what he’s capable of!

Juan and Eric are still waiting for Adan, while Gunther tries to get them out of the house. They explain why they need Adan and then the guys who JD beat up arrive. Maybe they know something about Adan? The guys don’t know him well, neither does Doctor Caballero, such an honest man that he is.

And while the village burns… Muriel and JD are happily reunited in their love shack aka the friendly neighbor’s ranch. Later at night they make love, but Muriel can’t stop thinking about her father searching for her. JD tries to reassure her, but admits that he’s afraid Sam will break them up. They exchange notes about Gunther and Adan being two nasty people. He asks Muriel to go far away, get married and go someplace where nobody will ever find them. Muriel just smiles and they kiss some more.

Franco, Sarita and Gaby arrive to visit Jimena. She is extremely happy to see Franco and he thanks her for how she put everything in motion for his release. Their reunion is very sweet.

Juan, Norma and the kids debrief on the day they’ve had. They wonder about Sam, and Juan says he did go to his place uninvited, too, but he didn’t have any arms and goons with him. Norma understand why Sam would be worried about his daughter, but Juan points out she wasn’t kidnapped, so the guy should back off – something shady must be going on with him.

Sam and Adan meet up at night. Sam puts Adan in his place, now he knows that the cops are looking for him and why. He’s upset he trusted him, putting his men in danger and now JD took his daughter as revenge. Adan has TWO DAYS to find them, or else he will tell the cops where he is.

The next day Romina is done with her “procedure”. She can barely walk while the man from the other day helps her to her car. She looks awful, he advises her to go straight to bed.

Jimena and Oscar are having breakfast. She’s worried he’s not eating, he explains he had a difficult day, they went searching for Romina and today he plans to do the same thing. He also went to see Duvan, who is doing better, but still wants to live with his mom. Jimena encourages him to go fetch Duvan as fast as possible, before Romina can interfere. Oscar is afraid she’s planning something bad again.

Romina arrives home to find several cops waiting for her. The commander asks where she was and she says she was in the hospital and rants about being all alone against the world. Then asks the cops to let her rest.

JD and Muriel are happy to be together. The house even has servants who are more than happy to be at their beck and call. And they have a visit – Juan! Who says JD has to stay away from the ranch and from Sam. The guy came to search for Muriel and had a confrontation with Norma and Leon. JD asks him not to interfere (shut up, child!). Juan says he won’t meddle, but he will help JD meet with Sam. The only problem is he always has armed men with him, so JD can’t be alone when they meet.

Oscar and Duvan are back home and Oscar explains that nobody is able to find Romina for now. Duvan is sure his mom will come search for him. Bertha welcomes Duvan and Jimena is very happy to see him, too.

Andres is trying to find someone to replace Muriel. Rosario can’t believe he doesn’t know where her daughter and JD are hidden. They are interrupted by a sudden visit – Franco arrives and what a blast from the past this is for Franco&Rosaro and for the patio.
Franco is smiling, Andres is happy to see his dad, welcomes him to his place of work. And assumes introductions are NOT in order. Rosario is happy to see Franco, for once she gets all shy and demure. Franco is the one who hugs her first, and the scene is rather emotionally filled.

PASION, Thursday, Part 2 of 2

Jimena is talking with the commander who says that Romina is dangerous, but for now there is no point in getting her out of her house. She seems to be doing very bad health wise and wonders what hospital would allow her to go out like that. He thinks they need to tell her Madrina and then take care of more pressing matters, like Dimi’s transfer to a big jail in the city. Duvan listens to them and later searches for his bike, telling Bertha that he’d like to take a quick ride. But of course that he goes straight to his mom’s house.

Franco and Andres talk about his work, Andres explains that Muriel is missing now, because she left with JD and Sam is looking for them like crazy. Franco is trying to wrap his head around the whole thing, he says he did notice Rosario was a little out of it before, must have been Muriel, right? Andres doesn’t buy it, must have been something else that got her choked up, am I right? You don’t have Franco Reyes on your doorstep every day.
Franco would like Andres to tell him everything about what is going on with the family. It is thanks to Juan and Norma he is here today, he wants to help everyway that he can. Albin arrives just then and Andres introduces them. As it turns out, they know each other, they met at several fairs in the past and Albin remembers even Franco’s shady business partner. Franco says he knows everything about their relationship, there are no secrets in their family. He’s cool with them being together, they toast!

Rosario tells Panchita that she feels very nervous, remembers how intense she and Franco used to be. Panchita is impressed with Franco, too, that body, those eyes (OMG, Panchita is my alter ego). She asks if Franco is the love of Rosario’s life, but Rosario says even she is NOT that crazy, the whole situation with JD and Muriel is more important now.

Jimena realizes Duvan must be gone to see Romina, scolds Bertha for letting him leave. Duvan is at home, taking care of his mom. She wants some water for now, she’s under the covers trembling. When Duvan leaves, she takes out a knife and then hides it in the covers. She asks Duvan to go search for wood, start a fire, because she is very cold.
Jimena is arriving at the house, finds the front door open and calls for Duvan. Romina hears her, gets out of bed and almost attacks Jimena with the knife. But she’s feeling too bad, Jimena manages to disarm her. She brings a glass of water for Romina, who is now on the floor. Jimena asks what is wrong with her and Romina says that Oscar forced her to sleep with him and she got pregnant again. Duvan arrives with the wood, Jimena wants to take Duvan with her, but the child wants to stay with his mom. So Jimena allows it!!

But then she goes to see Madrina and they talk about Romina’s pregnancy. Madrina says the baby couldn’t have been Oscar’s, they were only together when they had Duvan; nothing else happened between them after that. But Romina had several other pregnancies after getting involved with random men that she barely knew, and she helped them get rid of the kids. She feels bad about it now, but she was with Romina ever since she was a child, she had to help her. Jimena asks Madrina to help Romina, Madrina says she will but not right now, she’s busy today. And warns Jimena not to leave Duvan alone with his mother, she is deranged.

Oscar is at the office, tired with all the problems. Jimena’s presence is necessary at work, but Oscar knows she has more important things to do at home, with Duvan.
Jimena comes running, telling him that Duvan ran away and is now with Romina. Besides, she is very sick, might even die. Oscar wants to go take Duvan, Jimena insists they need to help Romina, too.

Madrina is with the cops, they are telling her Pedro, her grandson, is in the hospital. She asks to see him.

PASION

Teh previews didn't say anything about tonight being the last capitulo, I think Monday is the last day, right? Anyone has acces to their programming for next week? Is the new show starting Tuesday, the 31st?

Pasión

Adriana,

I haven't read the recap yet but I am sure it is stellar. I just wanted to tell you that the broadcast showed Tues as Grand Finale! I gotta go take my grandma's car to the shop. I will be back later to read and comment! Happy Friday

AMOR VAL

Ha ha one of my favorite TV Tropes..Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world..

Yeah when spurned professional maniquin and journey man firestarter is throwing back drinks in the Istanbul's version of Studio 54, he makes eye contact with Cahide's rent a uterus sister. Who by the by just sent her sister a fake image of uterus girl getting ready to sleep, not cruising the nitelife. Flashforward to two very hungover people in bed with wine bottles all over the floor.

Egads Cahide is doing that non stop door pounding. Uterus girl goes to the door and Cahide barged in..I think the apt..reeks of booze. The way Cahide acts, I think sister had a booze problem and possibly using her lady parts for other things than nurturing a new life. Cahide is threatening to do something to her sister, but sis grabs a knife and makes a halfhearted attempt to slit her wrist. Cahide freaks and takes her sister to get stitched..Sister is smirking. Yes she played the player.

Meanwhile sex god firestarter stumbles out of the apt. Heads down to an outdoor cafe to order a bottle of H2O to rehydrate after hangover. He spots Cahide's husband on the phone so he scurries away.

Meanwhile alot of other nonsense happened back at the ranch but I didn't really care. Cesur and Suhan are definitely coming up on the no, no,no. Sighing yes, yes, yes moment.

Dang! I hope there's a happy ending.

Pasion

Back now, and I was right! Your recap was fantastic and entertaining! We are barreling to the end and I have no idea how they are going to wrap all this up in only 3 episodes!!

The whole JD and Muriel plot just plain makes no sense at this point and they don't have time to make it make sense so they should drop it and worry about Romina, who killed the Prof, what if anything do we need to know/resolve with Franco's old business partner, I suppose we have to resolve the Rosi/Sam situation although I don't care, it would be cute to see Eric and Sibila find HEA, I suppose Jimena has to forgive Oscar but I don't know why.

Like someone said the other day, I wonder if they will put all the original episodes on Netflix or whatever streaming platform? Because they are ending nine episodes short of what they recorded. I would like to know how the show was intended to run and I really don't understand the decision to cut off nine episodes short! 20 or 30 do to bad ratings or whatever I can understand, but at this point they are so close to the end they might as well finish it - in my opinion.

Oh well three more episodes and the maddness ends!

Amor Val

Fev, I watched the Thursday episode . Was that the first episode? I had no idea who these people were except I knew that Tuba was the leading lady . ..this time with short hair.

Pasion

Adriana, I'm not watching Pasión, but I want to confirm that, Like Darcy, I saw an announcement on Telemundo that said that Tuesday, May 31, will be the last day for Pasión.

amor-val

Susanlynn,

Amor Valiente started this past Monday--Thursday's was the 4th episode. (See this week's Telemundo y Más pages for a little more info.)

AMOR VAL

SusanLynn

This one is pretty easy..this one is a big true throw back to 80's prime time soaps. The old guy owns every one and everything in the town. Oil is big..Not Dallas oil but Olive oil. Anyhow they all live in the huge manse while everyone else lives a Dickenson life. The blonde guy Cesur is there to get his legacy back that old guy cheated him out of. The rest of the characters like the evil DIL also live at the manse..She is currently faking a preg via her dubious sister.

amor-val

Thanks, Fev, for keeping the discussion going for Amor Valiente. I enjoy your snarky tone.

What I'm not sure about is who the red-headed woman is. She and Cesur clearly know each other, and she kisses him when she says goodbye and tells him "You'll be safe" (because everyone, including Tahsin, will think she's Cesur's girlfriend and not interested in Sühan?). Sühan, of course, feels jealous. I'm not sure whether she admits that even to herself.

Amor Val

Juanita and Fev, thanks for catching me up. I kind of thought the red head was pretending to be Thor's girlfriend.

Pasion

Thank you, Adriana, for the amazing recap!

Lol I checked a few times yesterday for the recap, but I kept refreshing the #1 page.

Romina is awful! When I heard that she's pregnant, I thought "Oh no, now she'll keep it and say it's Óscar's!" But she went straight to Madrina's for an abortion, so I was relieved. But now she's saying the crap I thought she would! At least Jimena doesn't believe her.

So, Gran Final on Tuesday! I actually wanted to recap the episode before the Gran Final more the Gran Final, mostly because I can't STAND 2-hour episodes (it's going to be a 2-hour one, right?).

I don't want Dimi in prison, I want Dimi dead. Prison is too good for him. Let's not even talk about how easy it would be to play crazy, get send to an insane asylum (or whatever it is called) and escape (telenovela classic)! I would be disappointed if this (prison) was his end.

Looking forward to reading last night's recap!

GENERAL

Does anyone know which telenovela starts on Wednesday, June 1, replacing Pasión? I won't have the time to recap, but I'll be reading the recaps if the plot interests me. Maybe it'd going to be La Mujer de mi Vida, the one I've been waiting for for so long?

Telemundo

Weirdo, it looks like we are getting 2 hours of Amor Valiente for a while after Pasion finishes. I haven't seen a specific promo for a new 10p show yet. I'm interested in La Mujer de mi Vida, too. It's got a good cast. But what I'm really waiting for is La Reina del Sur 3! They keep showing "pronto" for that. Could that be the new 10p?

Amor Val

Hahahaha Susalynn——“Thor”——— on point with that one! Looks like he’s going to an awful lot of trouble to “acquire” Suhan’s affection, if you can call it that. Their attraction can’t be denied, so why don’t they just get on with it and stop wasting each other’s time? There’s already enough intrigue for them to have to deal with. They just keep “popping” up in each other’s world like that “ There goes that news van again” commercial, lol. So obvious! I guess this will be another hunter who’s captured by the game scenario.

So, will devious DIL lose her “not” baby? She gets around too! Always at the right time and place to get the skinny on EVERYBODY! Mind boggling, but not really, lol. And Bulents mom! What’s up with her and Mean Daddy!? Can’t wait til they get to the bottom of that story!

Plot is moving along nicely, but I ain’t looking forward to nobody’s 2 hrs!

"PASION 2":

Weirdo: Crazy Dimi is gunning after Gaby again. Mark my words!

Not surprised Romina had the abortion (I am 100% Pro-Life).

Dondi356: Crazy Samuel needs to go down too. I think he's plotting something sinister against the Elizondo & Reyes families soon.

Darcy: There will be an episode on Monday night & the Gran Final will be on Tuesday.

Steve Boudreaux

Pasion

Yes, AMAZING recap Adriana! Things are moving quickly now, as they barrel toward the finish. Tell me why these people go off by themselves head first into danger when they have more family members than the can count??? JD was stupid to go after Adan himself, and Jimena was definitely stupid to go after Duvan by herself with crazy Romina on the loose! These people are da-da-da-da DUMB!

Franco is so cool! Loved the meeting with Andres and Albin! Not Rosario so much, and how they played up their first meeting. Whether Rosario realized at that moment or not that she was in love with Franco all along, he’s taken, and she still has the creepy hots for JD. She’s made it clear that she will do anything to keep him and Muriel away from another. I get that she’s a woman who wants to live her life on her own terms, but she needs to let others do the same, namely Muriel and JD! I just can’t seen to empathize or sympathize with her! She “rubs” me!

All in all though, I’m not ready for this one to end yet, even though the beginning of the story turned me off in a lot of ways………..

Pasion

Good morning all. I am still on the west coast and I slept in a little this morning so the recap will be up later than usual today. Working on it now.

Season 2 Episode 69 –Friday – Part 1 of 4

Jimena and Oscar come to the millhouse to check on Romina and pick up Duvan. For once, Romina is pretty much too weak to be dangerous. She does attempt a little bit of aggression but doesn’t get very far. Oscar and Jimena are also unsuccessful at convincing Duvan to leave – so at the end of the day their big mission to get Romina to the hospital and Duvan away from Romina ends with Romina still at home and Duvan steadily by mommy’s side.

Madrina goes to visit Pedro and tries to talk to him, asking where he was and what happened, he doesn’t wake. Romina prays that God will either heal Pedro or let him die in peace rather than being stuck in the coma.

Jimena is pacing in front of the fireplace and worrying about Duvan. Oscar arrives and informs her he couldn’t find the doctor who’s on vacation but the police agreed to go first thing in the morning with an ambulance. They have to wait; they have no choice.

Muriel and JD are still shacked up at the neighbor’s house (and it’s still weird that the neighbors give JD rent-a-love shack privileges.) They are sleeping but Muriel hears her phone ringing and this time she answers. It’s mommy, and she blames Muriel for every problem she’s ever had and says that her irresponsibility is causing Samuel to attack the Reyes and he won’t stop until he finds JD who kidnapped his daughter. Muriel points out that JD didn’t kidnap her she went willingly because she is in love; but Rosi says Muriel doesn’t have a romantic bone in her body and if she doesn’t return Rosi will tell Samuel where she is. She is capable of anything to make sure Muriel and JD separate once and for all!!

Oscar can’t sleep and Jimena can’t either. Oscar says one of the few smart things he’s said this season and mentions he should go to the Millhouse and sleep outside in his car just so he’s close in case Duvan needs him – but of course he doesn’t go. Oscar and Jimena talk about his mistakes and he thinks she won’t forgive him but she already has. She tells him that despite everything she is still in love with him. He tells her he is madly in love with her and they take the reconciliation to the bedroom! Any thoughts of protecting Duvan are long forgotten.

Norma wants Juan to go about normal activities and not show fear to Samuel. She wants to inform the police too, but Juan says this is a personal problem and he isn’t leaving the Hacienda until Sammy makes a move. He’s sure he’ll be back any time now and Juan will be ready to respond in the way that man deserves.

Oscar and Jimena arrive at the millhouse and the police are already there but they are just chilling waiting outside. Oscar says let’s go and Matis informs him he brought someone who may be able to help. It’s Madrina. Oscar knocks at the door and calls out to Duvan and Romina surprisingly says to go ahead and let them in, but just Oscar and Jimena. Duvan goes to the door and Romina closes her bedroom door and goes for a gun. Duvan doesn’t just let Oscar and Jimena in, everyone enters. Madrina herself heads to Romina’s bedroom door and Romina shoots the second it’s opened without even checking to see who opened (it could have been Duvan!!!!) Madrina is shot and Romina is shocked. The police hesitate and I swear Matis is hiding behind the fridge as he orders his men forward!!!! Romina is ordered to drop the gun, she doesn’t but she’s so out of it the guy is able to simply take it out of her hand. Romina takes one more frenzied look at Madrina and drops dead!!!! Matis checks her pulse and closes her eyes, Madrina is alive at least for the moment.

Season 2 Episode 69 –Friday – Part 2 of 4

Sara and Franco are sitting in the field talking. Sara is mad because she spent the whole day looking for him since he didn’t tell her where he was going. Franco is amused by the idea that she’s mad and teases her but she forgives him after a couple kisses. Franco tells her all about meeting Albin and seeing Andres’ home. He likes Albin and thinks they make a good couple. Both parents agree they hope Andres takes his music career to another level because they don’t want him playing in a dive bar his whole life – Albin supports this too. Sara asks Franco about seeing Rosi and he once again plays with his wife saying the years have been good to Rosi. She glares and he smirks and it’s clear these two are as much in love as ever but the sweet moment is destroyed by the arrival of Gaby and Gonzo to inform them that Dimi has escaped!!! Gaby is very very sure that Dimi will make his way back to mess with her or Franco.

Madrina is placed in an ambulance and she is either praying over herself or casting a spell on herself. She gives Oscar the gold medallion he had once given to Duvan and asks him to give it back to him. And to take care of him if something happens to her and she can’t.

Back to the hospital and Pedro is awake now!!! The nurse looks a little scared instead of relieved to see his eyes open.

Oscar goes to see Duvan who is in his room instead of with the family. Duvan wants to go back to the millhouse because he feels like his mom is there and Oscar has to tell him that he can’t go there. Besides his mom isn’t there. Oscar gives him his medallion back and tries to reassure him that everything is okay and they will get through it together.

There’s a crowd protesting outside the police station and I’m guessing it’s because Dimi escaped. The Chief is inside blaming the escape on the lack of resources and budget! (LOL) The Feds should intervene. The Chief is interrupted by a call from Matis telling him there’s an urgent update! We don’t hear what he says but the Chief looks excited.

Dimi is running through the woods like a mad man – looking miraculously sprite for a man who was beaten nearly to death a mere days ago. He comes across some poor idiot who stopped to take a pee on the side of the road, and knocks him unconscious with a rock! He steals his car and takes off.

Gabriela is ranting, all the meetings and plans and the cops have done nothing to protect them from the crime in this area. They have to unite as a family and do something! Franco suggests if she’s scared, she can come and stay with them and let them protect her from the amazing friend that SHE brought into their family!!! Sara warns ‘Franco’ and Gabriela quickly and sincerely apologizes for her mistake. Franco approaches his mother-in-law and kisses her on the forehead and tells her not to worry! (LOL the affection all these people have for Gabriela despite the fact that she doesn’t have a single likeable quality is funny)

Terencio is over by the millhouse and at first, I thought he was looking for Romina not knowing what happened, but he’s looking for Adan. (it is kind of a smart place to hide under the circumstances I doubt anyone is in a hurry to go there again) Adan tells Terencio he wants info about where JD and Muriel are. He needs it to get the money Samuel will pay for the info. Terencio doesn’t want any part of this, he still works for the Reyes, he can’t betray them! But Adan plays the ‘I’m your brother through thick and thin’ card and Terencio says he’ll try.

Season 2 Episode 69 –Friday – Part 3 of 4

Matis goes to see Pedro who is now awake and talking! Really all we hear him say is: ‘My name is Pedro’ but he must have said much more because Felix (who is still alive! LOL) comes running to see Matis and is informed Matis got a lot of very valuable information from Pedro – including the whereabouts of Adela!!! (I thought she left town with Madrina’s bus fare??) Felix is excited to learn he may see his sister and asks to go with the police to look for her.

Terencio is taking Don Martin for a little stroll and Martin ironically thanks him for his ‘good intentions’. Martin is drinking and Terencio tries to find out where JD is but Martin doesn’t give him any actionable details just tells him he’s on vacation with his girlfriend. Norma and Quintina come up and Quintina takes Don Martin off to lunch. Norma tells Terencio that she appreciates him spending time with her grandpa but under the circumstances and with the danger, she thinks it’s better if he’s with the rest of the guys guarding the ranch. Terencio agrees. He debates for a moment and Norma almost walks away but, in the end, Terencio does the right thing and tells her about Adan.

Adela is yelling and resisting the police taking her out of her hiding place. The neighborhood is gathered in her defense as well. They aren’t going to allow an abuse of authority and they won’t let them arrest Adela. Matis tries to explain that he isn’t arresting anyone but the crowd isn’t impressed. Matis finally calls for Felix and the siblings are very happily and emotionally reunited! (I was wondering whether or not Adela would be happy to see him and it appears she is)

Adan is back at the millhouse looking for Terencio but he finds Norma instead (this lady comes alone to confront her would be rapist??? How stupid!) She does have a gun but I’m not feeling secure. Adan paints himself as the victim (he’s not a rapist just a man who fell in love with the wrong woman and Juan already punished him, he nearly killed him!) Norma says she’s capable of anything if he’s threatening her son. Adan says he doesn’t want JD dead, he just wants the money so he can get far away from San Marcos!! This insane woman GIVES ADAN MONEY!!!! And tells him to get out of there and never ever return! Adan leaves and we see that at least Norma didn’t come alone after all, she has several ranch hands with her, but you don’t have to be a genius to figure out she didn’t tell Juan since he’s not there to give Adan another beat down!

Andres talks to JD about everything that is going on and JD feels uneasy, he should be at home helping his family – not hiding (Yep!) Andres thinks Samuel is dangerous too though and JD needs to protect Muriel. JD says Muriel is the only reason he’s staying in hiding if it wasn’t for her, he’d come home and help the family face everything else.

Samuel is threatening Rosi again as she gets ready for her show and it appears her threat to Muriel was just bluster because she doesn’t tell him where to find their daughter. They have the same fight about Rosi leaving the bar and returning to his side vs. the bar being the only thing Rosi cares about and Samuel warns her his patience is running out. Rosi goes off to do her show telling Sam she isn’t leaving and he can do whatever he wants. Sam assures viewerville (and Rosi who isn’t there anymore) that he will do just that!!

Season 2 Episode 69 –Friday – Part 4 of 4

We see a double funeral and Oscar’s voiceover tells us Madrina didn’t make it and although he wishes Duvan hadn’t had to go to the funeral, he needed to be there to say goodbye and to learn that death is a part of life. Next, Duvan is in his room and Jimena knocks and comes in. She asks how he feels and he says he isn’t sad because he knows that they are finally resting. Duvan feels like they must be together, they fought a lot but they could never stay apart. Jimena tells Duvan that she loves him a lot and she will always be there for him. Duvan says he loves Jimena as if she was his real mom. Romina never let him love her or show her love but Jimena does. He can love Jimena and that makes him happy. (AW!! This is equal parts incredibly touching and incredibly sad) Jimena is happy to hear him say that.

Rosi is now singing to a packed bar, but she isn’t wearing the same costume she had on a minute ago. She’s in all red and she actually looks fantastic!!! She has a confidence we haven’t seen in months and seems to be enjoying this performance in a way she hasn’t been. The crowd is very into it too, except Sam and Gunter of course, who get up and walk out! There’s a certain feel to this particular performance, it feels celebratory and it also feels ominous…

Early the next morning, we see Rosario is still in bed and the camera slowly pans through several shots of the empty bar all building up to a big BOOM!! Bar Alcala has blown up!!!!

Pasion

And there you have it! I have a strong suspicion that there were some cuts in this - which makes sense since they are ending this about 9 episodes early. The fact that Rosario left wearing one outfit and was next performing in a different outfit makes me think that their were originally more performances/days in between. That last performance had the feel of a swan song...like they were giving the actress a moment of celebration to just enjoy performing the song for one last time. You saw no nervousness or anxiousness over Samuel and none of the insecurities that we've been seeing in Rosi. It was just fun and actually a very impressive show! She looked great in that red.

I still don't get the whole JD/Muriel hiding next door thing - it makes no sense to me. Like you said yesterday, Carmella, this family should unite and confront their problems together! Why do they all lone wolf everything? JD and Muriel should go to his house and when Samuel comes the whole family can support/protect the couple as they work this out... Of course I was thinking that before Sam bombed a building!

Sara and Franco are cute together! Oscar and Jimena have a long way to go to be parents. It's obvious they never had the daily responsibility of caring for a child by the fact that they were at home getting all romantic while Duvan was alone in that shack caring for his dying mother. Not doubting Jimena at least has genuine love for him but neither one of them know what it means to put a child first. IMO any and all warm fuzzy feelings I could feel about their reconciliation was ruined by the fact that they should have been with Duvan in that moment!! At least Oscar should have been.

Norma going to confront Adan and give him money was just STUPID!!! Is that the way Adan will be wrapped up??? He gets off scott free and disappears into the sunset?? Or will he return to Samuel anyway? Unable to resist the opportunity to stick it to Juan? I guess we'll see next week.

Weirdo, if you'd rather recap Monday than Tuesday, I am sure that would be fine - I can't recap Monday and I know Monday's are busy for Adriana too so it might even be easier for one of us to recap Tuesday if you want to take Monday. Just a thought.

"PASION 2":

Darcy: Let's not forget about Crazy Dimi gunning after Gaby AGAIN & God knows who else.

Steve Boudreaux

Pasion

Thanks so much, Adriana and Darcy for the excellent recaps. As I've mentioned before, I watched at the very beginning and have returned for the last 2 or 3 weeks.

Why didn't they show how Dimi escaped? Of course incompetence of the police in this town has been emphasized over and over. I knew it in my bones that there would be some final showdown with him. I saw a couple of YouTubes of the actor discussing his roles on both La Suerte de Loli and Pasión. Seems like a very nice guy when he's not being a total psycho! He's been in some other novelas I haven't watched, so I'm curious to see if he's now typecast as a villain. He's handsome enough to be a galan.

Yes, it was stupid that Norma didn't have her guys grab up Adán and having him arrested for the attempted rape. If he did it once... But then being arrested by these cops doesn't guarantee any sort of punishment.

That bomb was a big surprise. I have a feeling Rosario will survive.

This crazy stuff about Samuel feeling entitled to snatch up his adult daughter gets on my last nerve.

OT, I watched the last episode of Pálpito this week. Very, very dramatic stuff. And Michel is fantastic, as always. Any of you see Falco? There have been a couple of these short novelas on Telemundo, and I enjoy them. Michel played a cop who was shot, spends years in a coma and wakes up to a different world.

Pasión

Novelera, I was actually just thinking the other day that the actor who plays Dimi is quite compelling even as a psycho and I agree he is good looking enough to be a galan. It would be interesting to see him in another role.

I haven't made it very far in Pálpito yet but I was enjoying it. I also want to watch the third season of 'Quien Mato a Sara' on Netflix. Have you watched that yet? It's pretty good, very intense. It's only like 10 episodes or less per season so not a lot to watch.

Pasion

First of all, thank you dondi about the information for the Telemundo schedule!

Fantastic recap, Darcy!

Yep, I'll recap Monday's episode.

Romina's death was so anticlimactic! And why did Madrina have to die? I actually kind of liked her!

Lol, Dimi's escape might have been a good thing, he might die instead of being in prison. Yay! But, as Steve said, he'll probably try to attack Gaby again. NOT yay!

I agree, Novelera, the bomb was a big surprise! I wasn't expecting that at all! I also think that Rosi will survive. We'll see.

I can't wait for Monday's episode! It'll be up at around the same time as always.

Pasion

Alejandro Lopez (Dimi) was also in several seasons of El Señor de los Cielos as Super Javi, a somewhat likeable narco. I've only seen him in ESDLC and Loli. Would be interesting to see him as a galan.

PASION

Thank you, Darcy, I loved your snark in this recap and I totally feel your frustration about Oscar probably ending up with a ready made family that he DOES NOT deserve. He's not only cheated, but he's also lied to Jimena for almost ten years! And nothing that he has done recently proves that he's changed. Best exemple: he and Jimena in bed while they were both aware of the danger Duvan is facing, that was quite a WTF moment for me. This and so many years of neglect (because that is what Oscar was doing) make me doubt his devotion to his son.

Darcy, my level of interest in Muriel in JD could not be smaller - I feel they should have brought Sam in sooner, he practically showed up at the same time as Franco. WHO in the world is going to care about Samuel Caballero when Franco Reyes is in town?? Not Rosario, that much I can say.
I had a bad feeling about Rosario, too, when I saw her performance. My guess is she doesn't die, but gets serious burns on her face. Or smoke inhalation that ruins her voice. That would be worse for her than actual death.

Novelera, I've never seen "Dimi" in another novela, but he made such a big impression on me that I couldn't see him as a galan. I don't find him all that good-looking, but that could be arranged with a different haircut, probably - but the actor has done such an amazing job with this character, I have a hard time seeing him as anything other than a sadistic pshyco with a penchant for home decoration LOL

Weirdo, we spent sooo much time on Romina, I was glad to see her gone. This is the only way for Duvan to become free of her malicious influence.

AMOR VAL

Okay I actually watched this one twice
And I am relying on simple observations. Bulut"cut out cardboard guy" who wants to marry Suhan, is sitting below his mother's manse drinking and rubbing ice on his shirt arm. Meanwhile his Ma rallies workers, I think who are not actual serfs got Tahini sorry I can't remember actual name of old dude who owns like enormous area of land. Anyhow Bul,s ma just lives to annoy Tashin and makes food for all the local women. You go girl. A package is delivered for her for from Tahini. It is a wedding dress/prom/quincenera dress I don't know but since it is a Muslim country I'm going with wedding. Her helpers are all pissed, but she just does the laugh of the crazy.

Actually other nonsense happens in this episode..but

Later bul's mom shows up at tahsins amantes house and sets the party dress on fire. Insults are tossed back and forth.

Suhan meets Bul at a costal rest. Cesur follow her there..I have no idea. But he eats alone and Bul decides to end the date.

Meanwhile Tashin Jr wanders into his bedro calling for Cahide. She is on the cell phone in the tub loudly mi amoring. Jr rushes in trys to grab the phone, she jumps up slips on the tiles and hits her head.

OT

I started to watch the first episode of Quién Mató a Sara. IIRC it showed some young people on a boat and that was when Sara was killed. I was disappointed because it seemed to be about Latinos but was in English. I prefer watching teleseries and/or movies taking place in Latin-America or Spain in Spanish. As I believe I mentioned before, when I first tuned in to Pálpito, it was in English and I had to struggle a bit with the Netflix app to get it in Spanish.

It's a pleasure to join you all at the end of Pasión! I wish we had more of a community for Amor Valiente. I do plan to watch it, but we have no recappers. When Hercai went to two-hour episodes at one point in time, some of us kind of burned out on recapping. I was more than happy to finish up that one, but I'm not planning on putting up more than one a week and maybe not even that if there's no interest.

OT

Novelera, I think what you are experiencing with Netflix is a setting issue. Ie. Whatever issue caused Pálpito to come on in English is also happening when you turn on Quien Mató A Sara. But series were produced in Spanish and I think they are dubbed in English and maybe even a third language based on settings but the original language is Spanish. It is an Spanish on my Netflix so maybe check a setting.

Amor Valiente looks good. I just don't want to take on starting another show while I am in Cali because no one else in the family watches Spanish TV shows and I want to spend as much time as possible with my mother. I am watching La Hija del Embajador but I am woefully behind and now that both Pasión and Soltero on Uni are ending it's a perfect time to focus on the family.

My phone's autocorrect isn't as smart as it thinks it is:

'It is in Spanish on my Netflix so maybe check a setting.' I swear I typed in and not an! Lol unless I didn't...

Amor Val

Fev , thanks for the rundown . I noticed that Unimas was showing a couple reruns of this show on Sat.afternoon. .

It is interesting seeing a blond Viking as a galan in a Turkish dizi because the leading men are usually dark.

P.s.Fev, I am bouncing around the three seasons of Kurulus Osman . Oh. My.Good . Ness. Elegant Kemel from Amor Eterno is swordfigbting , punching, kicking ..sometimes on a horse ...and taking names and saying " Mashalla, like every ten minutes. Plus the guy who played his miserable brother in Amor Eterno is in season three .

Amor Val

Fev, thank you for giving a run down of the Friday episode. I am watching this dizi and I do like it a lot. I agree with novelera, I just don’t have the time or energy to recap 2 hours episodes this week. Maybe we can just all speculate and comment for a bit.

I have to say I am lost/confused about the whole Cesur (Thor, thanks Susanlynn) venganza. From what I understood those two paintings in the Tashin household were done by either Cesur’s dad or a family member. What I don’t understand is how Tashin “stole” the family/life that was supposed to belong to Cesur’s father. We do know Cesur’s mom is still alive and looked like she was in a hospital bed.

Tashin is just an awful person. He sent that dress as a mean reminder of apparently leaving Bulent’s mom at the altar? I am not really that impressed with Suhan just yet. She is arrogant just like her father. I didn’t like how she treated the factory workers at all.

Cahide is actually the most interesting character, besides Thor, right now. I wonder how she will explain why there is no baby in her belly while unconscious at the hospital?

amor-val

Thanks very much, Fev, for continuing to offer mini-recaps of this dizi. I was confused about what the "gift" was that Bulent's mother (Mihriban?) received and burned, and I found your comments and VVS's very helpful here. And Susanlynn, I loved your remark about "a blond Viking" as the galan in a Turkish novela. One good thing, aside from Cesur's being rather guapo, is that it's easy to identify him. I often have trouble with recognizing who's who in dizis because often all the men have dark hair and beards. (But no, I didn't have trouble recognizing Me-ran with his "angry bangs.")

VVS, I too am still rather confused about Cesur's family history. I'm happy that your account of your confusion is rather similar to what I feel. I was also surprised that the cemetary Cesur visits apparently bears his family's name: Alemdaroglu (I think). Does that mean that his family had been very wealthy and important?

So I guess both Cesur and Suhan are simultaneously attracted and repelled by each other. It seems pretty clear that the dizi will eventually wind up with the two of them in love. In Friday's episode, Cesur twice tells Suhan that they're going to be married some day. Right now, that sounds more like a threat.

Suhan takes her sister's car and tries to follow Cesur. She doesn't realize that Cesur somehow anticipated this and had Rifat watching her. Rifat calls Cesur, tells him "it worked," and gives him the make and license number of the car she's driving.

Wow, that was a pretty interesting final scene. Korhan (aka Tahsin Jr) comes into the house and hears Cahide cooing mi amor to someone. He doesn't realize that she's cooing to the fetus in the belly of her surrogate. As you report, Fev, he tries to grab the phone, she gets out of the tub, slips, falls, and hits her head on the tub's rim. Oops. I'm quite sure she will live, but like VVS, I'm not sure how she will explain the absence of a baby. Will she bribe the doctor into saying that the accident caused her to miscarry? Perhaps we'll find out tonight.

Amor real

I am half heartedly watching this show . I am enjoying " Embajador" and Dondi's excellent recaps , and I am also fascinated with "Kurulus Osman" which is a wild, wild ride. The costumes are stunning . ...and look super heavy and uncomfortable as I sit watching them in my flipflops , tee, and shorts . The wardrobe budget alone must be immense. Evidently ,it is a worldwide hit.

However, I will try to keep up with Amor Val to see if it catches my interest . I like Tuba . She was good in " Kara Para Ask. "

After watching about 6 Turkish Dizis, I am starting to notice familiar faces popping up with each new show I see. So far, in this one, I only recognize Tuba. I have never seen Thor before .

Regarding the fake pregnancy, in "Embajador" , the evil , not really pregnant woman used a little sofa pillow and the galan never touched her and barely looked at her , so he believed her .
