Cesur and Suhan have a pleasant day together. She’s curious about his family, and he tells her a good deal of the truth, leaving out her father’s part in all of it.
We see some of the orphanage background. Riza Sheipizeh is the brother of Adalet. He was a bad young man, got thrown out of the orphanage and ended up working with the crooked director of the place helping to traffic girls who aged out of the orphanage.
Wow! Looks like Tahsin had Adalet kill the corrupt director of the orphanage and made sure her brother did 30 years for the crime.
We see how Rifat became involved in all this. He was a uniformed police officer who took the statement from Cesur’s father, Hasan, about Tahsin stealing his art and burning up his mother.
Suhan is investigating how Hasan died. Someone was killed in the forest the same night that Hasan died, his car having crashed into a ditch. But we then see that Korhan, her older brother, had the head of police lying about what happened.
Then we get another surprise. Adalet also killed Hasan. Salih, who I think was in the police then, helped over this up.
Cesar brings his mother home and she meets Sirin and Kemal. She also has a full-time nurse.
There’s something going on about the value of the land Cesur bought. Cesur is relieved when someone (Kemal? Rifat?) tells him that Tahsin only had Salih dig in one place. Cesur then sees on his security cameras that Suhan overheard what he and Banu were discussing.
A partnership is signed between Cesur and Tahsin. Bulent isn’t happy about it.
Cesar’s mother gets away from the nurse, who’s not so competent. Tahsin rescues her after she runs in front of his car. All is well until she hears someone address him by his name. She turns around and calls him a murderer.
In a flashback we see that Cesur’s mother had some help faking hers and Cesur’s deaths. It was said it happened in a skiing accident. They took her maiden name, the one Cesur uses now.
Tahsin is suspicious about Cesur’s mother (can’t seem to get her name in my head) reacting to him that way. He talks to the police chief, who explains that the wife and son of Hasan died in a skiing accident.
The wedding confused me. Everyone was parading through the streets, and I thought it was after the wedding. But no. We see the usual Turkish wedding with a sort of clerk officiating and two witnesses – Cesur and Suhan. At the party everyone is shocked when Tahsin brings Adalet, who was not invited. This whole secret mistress in the 21st century seems silly to me. Tahsin tries to take over the dancing, dancing with his son, but Suhan annoys him, insisting everyone should be dancing.
I finally get the surrogate’s name. It’s Hulya. And I see that the father of the baby is in prison, and probably doesn’t know about the pregnancy. What could possibly go wrong?
Korhan overhears Suhan say that Cesar’s father was named Hasan.
This was a fairly eventful episode, but that's all I have time for.
Novelera, thank you. Your recap was very helpful . I forgotten show started at 8 and didn't turn it on until 9.
Gee, Tahsin is that guy who wants to be the center of attention at every party ...first the sing along in the bar and now taking over the dance floor at the wedding . Watching this father and son do the zeybeck made me snicker . You must watch Burak Ozcivit dancing on youtube. Wow, now that's dancing . You'll ask yourself " Is that the same dance? "
Thank you novelera. This was indeed an eventful episode. The flashbacks are putting the story together much more cohesively. So Adalat killed Cesur’s Dad and I’m hoping that it comes out why she did that? He wasn't threatening in anyway that I could see, and there was no fear in Adalat’s face when he said what he said. Plus, there’s no way you can lead me to believe that Mean daddy didn’t have anything to do with the trafficking either. The man has his hand in everything and obviously had the cops in his pocket back then……
Very clever of Cesur’s mom to change her photo when they had to go on the run, cause Mean daddy was immediately suspicious of her murderer rant. That nurse gives nurse’s a bad name, but there are people in every area of the workforce who don’t “just do their job.” Still, that particular plot took the story to the next level.
I love the face’s that Cesur makes. When Cesur assumed that the watch Suhan purchased was for him, but she said that it was for her brother, he rolled his eyes like nobody’s business, but subtle enough and long enough to know, without a doubt, his reaction, lol. I also like how their relationship is progressing, slowly, and as honest as it can be at this point. That’s realistic to me.
Suhan said that SIL was 5 mos pregnant and should be showing? Even the surrogate isn’t showing????
Carmella, yes, bad apples in every profession , and writers take them all and pepper them throughout their stories .
Cesar is growing on me , mostly because he is a quiet and calm galan, and I like his lumberjack wardrobe and sturdy boots . Miran's neverending hissyfits in Hercai burned me out ,and then the writers tricked us with Gorgeouscreepy who wasn't a galan either .
"Infiel: Historia de un Engaño" (A Woman Scorned) begins Monday, June 13 at 10pm/9c.

Many thanks, novelera, for your very helpful recap. It cleared up some things I was confused about.
Wow! So Adalet is far more ruthless than I realized. She killed both the corrupt director and then Hasan, when Hasan came to accuse Tahsin of all the evil things he did. We see Hasan plead with Adalet to come with him, not with Tahsin, and her response is to shoot Hasan. AND she apparently lets/forces her brother, Riza, go to prison for 30 years for the murder of the corrupt director. What a loving sister!
I was surprised that Cesur and his mother took her maiden name as their new last name. Wouldn't that have been a relatively easy thing to trace/recognize if someone is suspicious? She goes to great effort to hide their identity; using her maiden name seems inconsistent and foolish with those efforts.
I think they always refer to Cesur's mother as Sra. Fugen, or something like that. I too have never managed to be sure of it.
So Rifat was the police officer who took Hasan's statement about all the things Tahsin did to him and his family. And we then see that Rifat's superior tells him to forget about that, since Tahsin is an important and powerful man. Probably Rifat's efforts were what really got him dismissed from the police force.
I think Cesur had somehow indicated where on his property he had supposedly found the gold coins, and that's where Salih dug, probably to confirm what Cesur said. IIRC, in a previous episode, we saw that Cesur had two letters, one saying that nothing of value had been found on his land, and the other saying that much of great value had been found. He says that the latter letter will get sent to Tahsin. So when he learns that Salih had been digging on his land, he wants to be sure that he had only dug in one place, presumably the place Cesur had wanted him to dig.
I liked the scene where Suhan meets Cesur's mother and immediately endears herself to her by addressing her in French. She didn't say much more than "Hello" and "My name is Suhan," but that was enough.
I also enjoyed the discussion between Cesur and Suhan later. They've had a fight, and now they're dancing. Suhan says something like "First fight, and now first dance. What a couple!" Cesur looks at her and says, "Did you say 'couple'?"
I'm still a little confused about the young man who was arrested for the murder of the doctor. I think somehow Hulya was involved in his arrest, but I'm not sure what she said or did to get him arrested. She now finds out that the evidence against him is considered merely circumstantial, and so he has been released until the trial. Hulya is not happy.
At the very end, I think I remember Korhan asking Suhan what Cesur's father's name was. She replies, "Hasan." Korhan immediately reacts strongly and asks, "was his surname Karahasanoglu??!" IIRC, that's how the episode ends.
So , was there a love triangle between Hasan, Adalet, and Tahsin? These shows always have love triangles or rectangles ...one person that two or more people desire.
Susanlynn, I don't think there was any romantic relationship between Hasan and Adalet. The impression I had was that Cesur's parents loved each other very much. I think she shot him because Tahsin was urging her on. He had doubtless told her some lie about Hasan himself lying about Tahsin's past activities. As evil as he is he doesn't seem to be killing people himself, rather ordering others to do so. Except maybe the fire that burned up Hasan's mother. He may have set that fire himself.
The whole thing with Adalet is very confusing. She's portrayed as a sweet, kind woman who has somehow been vilified by the people in this town. But, when younger, she was capable of cold-blooded murder...twice. But both times Tahsin was standing there telling her over and over to shoot.
Novelera,,thanks for clearing that up. It seems that Tahsin manipulates people . Adalet seems to love him.....why? It's not his singing or dancing that's for sure.
Like Susalynn, Cesur is growing on me and I much more prefer his quiet strength and calm manner to “ he who will not be mentioned,” lol. His care and concern for his mom’s illness also endears me to him, along with his “lumberjack” dress and demeanor. He is falling in love, well they are, as they bond through both his mom and the company. I just hope that Suhan never mentions her last name around his mom! That would be devastating with the relationship that they’re building. I don’t completely agree with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis for his Mom. She remembers a lot…..unless this is the really early stages of it. It just seems like she has created a world where she feels safe and can enjoy her loving memories of her husband and life before Mean Daddy came along.
What a petty, petty, narcissistic, thug Mean daddy is! He didn’t get his way, so he goes and marries Adalat to piss his children off. Does Adalat really know the monster that he is? Whether she does or not, she’s a murderer too, and should equally pay for her crimes. I still didn’t get the whole buying of the land thing, and the votes, but I’m glad that both Suhan and Korhan went against Mean daddy. It’s time for his reign of terror to end. Poor Suhan……seeing her Dad in all his “true” glory. They way that he treated and treats Mirhiban now, alone, speaks volumes about him. I feel bad for Mirhiban. She’s a very attractive woman, with a business smart head on her shoulders. I just hope that her marriage to Bulent’s father was a good one. Wonder if Mean daddy had him killed too——-wouldn’t surprise me.
Love the relationship between Suhan and Sirin! I’m glad that they’ve been able to maintain an honest friendship despite the difference in their financial stature…..
And is Ayse/ Huyla a trip! What an opportunistic, greedy woman she is! Not to say that DIL/SIL isn’t either, but I understand her desperation, and it seems that she truly loves Korhan………
Thanks very much, Carmella, for getting the conversation started about last night's episode. Like you, I much prefer atrong and silent Cesur to he-who-shall-not-be-mentioned. Indeed, I agree with just about everything you've said except at the very end. I don't think Cahide truly loves Korhan. She's always bossing him around and seems rather contemptuous. I think she's in love with the money and position she thinks he will inherit as Tahsin's sole male heir. And she'll do anything and everything to be sure that happens, including trying to do away with Suhan (as we see again in last night's flashback, Cahide tried to arrange for the horse to become uncontrollable and throw Suhan).
I was moved by Cesur's love and care for his mother. And the fact that his mother takes to Suhan and remembers her makes a big impression on Cesur.
Last night, we saw both Suhan and Korhan criticize Tahsin. First Suhan asks her father whether he married her mother for her money. "Was that why you abandoned Mihriban at the altar?" she asks. She tells her father that she doesn't think her mother was ever happy. Tahsin warns Suhan that this time she has gone too far.
Tahsin then accuses Korhan of telling Suhan things about the past that she shouldn't know. Korhan replies that he told Suhan nothing, but she nonetheless knows that Tahsin is lying about his family. And then, Korhan seems to be growing a pair. He tells his father to stop accusing and harassing him, "or I'll tell her the truth about Hasan Karahasanoglu" (from now on, Hasan K).
In a flashback,we also see that apparently Cahide was told by a doctor that she cannot have children. At the same time, she overhears the doctor tell Hulya/Ayse that he can't give her an abortion, which is probably how Cahide and Hulya/Ayse get together.
I don't know which of those two women I fear more. Cahide will stop at nothing to get what she wants, but Ayse is also very dangerous. I still think she probably was the one who killed the doctor. And she tells Korhan, in Cahide's presence, that she knows of someone who actually hired a woman to have her baby because she didn't want to ruin her figurre, can you imagine that??!! Korhan of course, makes it clear that he is horrified at the thought. But I think Ayse is more impulsive than Cahide, and that may ultimately do her in. For example, looking around at Cahide's luxurious house, she foolishly says to Cahide, "My son will have all this." Cahide slaps her. Eventually, she may do worse.
There's a lot more. For example, both Suhan and Korhan vote against their father at the board meeting. Soon after that, Tahsin disappears and returns with his new bride, Adalet. And the guy who was arrested for having killed the doctor and then released comes looking for whoever accused him. It isn't clear whether he knows yet who that person is, but the episode ends with him near the Korludag house, where Ayse is staying. A good cliffhanger moment.
Yes, I think we might have a good story with a real galan here. Let's do a rundown 1) loves his mom. 2) Eddie Bauer shopper 3) quiet and calm 4) great hair....no angry bangs. ....and 5) he cooks !!! Presto bingo ...We have a winner.
I was getting so tired of galanless telenovelas, but of the 6 or 7 Turkish dizis that I have watched , only one was minus a galan ....he who shall not be named . I need strong, calm heroes .
Thanks for the recap..
I am always sooo confused while watching this.
I did love the Mean Dad walking in with his bride. Geez, he is so crass.
So what does that mean? Does it change the dynamic of who owns what?
And who is Bulents father? Was he just some stray?
Okay and between Cahide and Ayse is def BSC where Cahide is just greedy and manipulative.
Mean Dad is just creepy, I guess after orphan days he just has a pychological hunger that will never be filled. No matter how much he gets..he will never be full.
I forgot what happened to Suhan and Korhans mom.
Fev
Thank you Juanita for your comments regarding Cahide. And yes, they make a lot of sense! I just got the impression from earlier episodes, the way that Cahide was promising both Ayse and the now dead doctor, tons of money, that she came from “money” herself. If that was the case, then she might really love Korhan. There’s no way, I think, that Mean daddy wouldn’t miss large amounts of money taken from the family’s bank account. But then again, with Cahide carrying the “golden child” he probably would overlook a lot a things. And if what you so convincingly state of Cahide’s character is true, I feel even more sorry for Korhan. Between mean daddy and his wife, he doesn’t stand a chance! I could honestly see Korhan committing suicide behind the both of them!
And yes Susalynn, the galan can cook, lol! Yay!
One more question!?!?! What was the meaning behind Mean daddy’s rant at the seaside restaurant with Adalat?? It was almost like he knew the owners personally????? Like they could’ve been his real family…….
Carmella, yes, that whole scene at the restaurant was very odd with all those people buzzing around Tahsin .
Does Korhan know stuff about the past that Suhan doesnt?
I am sure that strong, silent, slow , steady Cesar is going to methodically mow down Bad Dad . #stillwaters
Fev, I loved your question "And who is Bulents father? Was he just some stray?" And yes, there are many words to describe Mean Dad, but I think "crass" is one of the best.
Carmella, yes, Korhan is stuck between Mean Dad and Mean Wife. The only hopeful sign is the avocados he seems to be growing--may they continue to thrive.
Susanlynn, yes, Korhan is a bit older than Suhan, and he saw and remembers things that she doesn't know. And apparently one of the things he knows is that Hasan K. and Hasan A. are one and the same.
Thanks Carmella, Fev, Susanlynn, and Juanita for your excellent comments. Yes, this plot is zipping along quite nicely. I am amazed at how quickly secrets are being revealed. Suhan got a good look at what a snake her father is last night. I was very surprised Korhan wasn't cowed by his greedy wife and voted to do the right thing.
Yes, the land stuff is very confusing. It looks like Tahsin found out Cesur bought that land they showed ready for planting and came with his thug, Salih, to beat the poor guy up. Apparently there had already been pressure on the guy to either give it to Tahsin outright or sell it for very little. Beyond that, I wasn't sure why Tahsin wanted it, other than wanting to own everything in 500 square miles!
Did you all notice the gleam in the old fart's eye when he saw Hulya/Ayse? And she wasn't exactly all downcast eyes when she noticed it. She better be careful. We already know Adalet is a good shot.
Amen on Korhan's avocados doing well for the moment.
Hulya/Ayse is loving the good life in the mansion and seems to plan to stay. Her boyfriend, and the father of the bun in the oven, may have other ideas. Also, how is she planning to cover up her growing belly if she doesn't leave soon? It was nice to have the flashback so as to be sure the embryo she's carrying is NOT Korhan and Cahide's bio kid.
Hmmm...still confused about the baby. Do people think Cahide is pregnant , or do they know that Hulya is their surrogate ?
Novelera, I too am finding the land stuff confusing. My belief of the moment is that Tahsin wants to build something on that land that would make him money. At least, I think that was what he had in mind at the start of the dizi. However, it's perhaps even more likely that he thinks there are valuable gold coins on much of the land (as per Cesur's plan). And yes, I too saw the gleam in Tahsin's eye when he saw Ayse. And you're right that she'd better look out for Adalet!
Susanlynn, I think almost everyone still thinks that Cahide is pregnant. I think only Cahide and Hulya/Ayse know that Ayse is a surrogate. But this can't possibly go on much longer. Surely Ayse will start to be visibly pregnant and Cahide will not, at least not at night when sleeping in the same bed as her husband. So perhaps she'll find an excuse for them to sleep in separate rooms until the baby is born. Or maybe she'll arrange to go away with her "nurse" Ayse for a couple of months. Or.... ???
Was watching basketball last night and didn't make any notes about the episode, but a few things come to mind from watching it...late.
Suhan went to Istanbul with Cesur and got very drunk. They ended up in her family apartment in Istanbul. She was very loving toward him in that state and things might have gone further, but Cesur followed the galan rule of never taking advantage of a drunken woman.
Mehribar visited Cesur's mother and said mother said some things about Tahsin stealing paintings. What she said confused me even more. I thought she said he sold the paintings. But Cesur seemed to think Tahsin had the originals and he and Rifat stole them and replaced them with copies. So...did ANY paintings burn up in that house fire?
Hulya spent some time with the boyfriend and now she's trying to get money to get him to leave. She told him Bulent was the father of her baby.
That's about all I can remember off hand.
I found a lot of this "episode" somewhat confusing. What was less confusing is the arrival at the start of the episode of the guy (Turan) who had been accused of murdering the doctor. He has managed to be delivering Adalet's belongings to Tahsin's house. He goes in and spots Hulya/Ayse. He asks for a glass of water. She says she'll bring it to him outside.
We also see Suhan quite upset about her father's marriage to Adalet. She thinks he crossed the line by marrying her rather than just continuing their affair. She is sure that he did this to make her (Suhan) unhappy for defying him. She and Cesur are drinking in a bar. She gets VERY drunk. Cesur picks her up and carries her out of the bar. She is laughing. When she gets back home, she throws up.
Cahide is worried about how Tahsin may be modifying his will now that he has married Adalet. She tells Korhan, "If Tahsin dies, she gets everything that should be ours." She then says, "I wonder why Hulya didn't come back tonight." Oops. She claims she said "Ayse." She goes to see whether "Ayse" is back and is told that Ayse hasn't been around all evening.
Hulya/Ayse has been with Turan. She tells him she's pregnant, but that he's not the father. Turan asks who the father is. She tells him he'll never find out, but she makes it seem without saying so that Bulent is the father
Cahide calls Bulent and tells him she needs his help. Ayse is missing. Cahide and Bulent meet in the woods. Kemal sees them together, though he probably can't hear what is being said. She is all upset about Ayse's disappearance with "my baby." Bulent is probably the only person except for Cahide and Hulya who knows that Cahide isn't pregnant and Hulya is acting as a surrogate. He tells Cahide that her lie is stupid and has been from the beginning. He advises her to tell Korhan, but she emphatically says no. Kemal takes photos of Cahide and Bulent, including some where they seem to be hugging.
There's a lot more, but I have time for just one more item. Adalet tells Tahsin that she doesn't want to live in his house and upset his children. Tahsin insists she live with him there and tells her, "When they find out you've signed a pre-nup, they'll come around."
As I was about to post this, I saw novelera's posting. There's relatively little duplication. I'm especially happy that she mentioned the scene with Mihribar and Cesur's mother.
