Thank you, deb, for the information. I'm interested in recapping "La Mujer de mi Vida". Anyone else?

Also, Telemundo just uploaded a promo for La Reina del Sur 3.

I'll put up a brief account of tonight's episode later tonight.

Thanks, Juanita. I made a few notes, but what I thought about writing would have been so brief as to hardly be better than nothing at all.

Ep. 32 - p.1 of 2

As the episode opens, we see Cahide complaining to Mihriban that it's not fair that Korhan inherited the olives but Suhan will get the hacienda when she marries. She asks Mihriban whether Korhan knows this. Mihriban says he does. Cahide wonders why he didn't tell her. Cahide then calls Sirin to tell her that Suhan and Cesur are getting married. We must stop them. Sirin tells Korhan. Cesur's mother overhears this, and she's delighted.

We then see Cesur, dressed for the wedding, heading for the Civil Registry. He catches sight of some police and quickly walks the other way.

Tahsin is taken to the police station by two police officers to give his statement.

Suhan is on her way to the Civil Registry to get married. She gets a call from Banu, who tells Suhan that her testimony is needed at once. "They're very close to catching Cesur. We need your statement. Only you can save him." Suhan agrees to give her statement first and asks where she should go. Cahide sees Suhan get a taxi. Cahide and Mihriban quickly get another taxi to follow her.

Tahsin is giving his statement. He denies that he had a deal with anyone. Moreover, "Why would I kidnap my own daughter? Do you think I'm demented?" [Viewerville shouts a loud YES!]

We then see Adalet in the hospital taking Mithat's blood pressure. [Huh?] However, what she's really doing is delivering a message from Tahsin: "He asked me to tell you that if you mention his name, a 30-year-old book will open up and Cesur will find out who you really are." A couple of medical personnel then enter the room. Adalet says she just took his blood pressure, and it's very high.

Cesur calls Suhan, who tells him that Banu has asked her to give her statement now. Cesur insists that they're trying to stop her from getting married. Suhan looks out the taxi's back window and sees that she's being followed. She apparently decides that Cesur is right.

Korhan calls his father and rather gleefully informs him that Suhan and Cesur are getting married. "I'm going to be a witness at my sister's marriage. Cesur will be your son-in-law." Upon hearing the news, Tahsin seems to have trouble breathing.

Suhan arrives at the Civil Registry. Cesur greets her. Korhan arrives and wants to make sure that Suhan really wants to marry Cesur for love and not for revenge against her father. She tells him it's both.

We see Banu, Salih, Adalet, and Bulent in the hospital corridor watching nervously as medical personnel are working to revive someone on the floor. The medics do not seem to be successful. Adalet looks as if she's about to pass out.

The wedding formalities begin. The person in charge asks each for their name and the names of their parents. Then Suhan is shown documents that include a photocopy of her ID card. She is stunned and confused. She's told that "Mr. Rifat provided it." She looks coldly at Cesur. "How can I trust you? It's one lie after another." We then see a flashback of Cesur saying "I need to get married. Suhan will be at my side when I take her father to court." Suhan is asked, "Do you accept this man as your husband?" There is a LONG pause. "I accept," she finally says. Cesur agrees as well. Both sign. They are now married. Suhan still has an ice-cold look. "Why did you marry me?" she asks. Cesur replies, "You're my life insurance." She responds, "That was very sincere of you."

Korhan gets a phone call from Adalet. Suhan hears the words "hospital," "Papa," and "grave." They all rush off to the hospital.

Ep. 32 - p.2 of 2

At the hospital, they head down the stairs, and we see the word "Morgue." Adalet is there, looking sad. Then the door to the morgue opens and a very sad Mehmet emerges. This is not possible, I think. They can't kill Tahsin off after only 30 episodes! And I'm right--they can't, and they don't. Emerging from behind Mehmet is Tahsin. (We then get a flashback of Tahsin looking very ill and then medics being called to treat someone on the floor. No, not Tahsin, Mithat.) Adalet announces that Mehmet's brother, Mithat Topakci, has died. Korhan turns to Adalet and screams at her, calling her cruel. "I thought it was my father!" he says. Tahsin looks at Korhan and Suhan and says, "You two have killed me. Congratulations." Suhan tells him she's glad he's OK. He replies, "Why, so you can kill me with your own hands?" The two argue back and forth. Tahsin tells her, "Cesur wanted to take what I most love from the moment he arrived." She responds, "Are you even capable of loving anyone, Papa?"

Tahsin tells Cesur that he's too late, Mithat is dead. "The only link to my past is gone. No one can provide information about me." The unflappable Cesur assures him, "I'll find someone, I swear."

As Cesur is leaving, he encounters Banu. She tells him, "Don't explect me to approve of your union and congratulate you....Your plan was not very smart." "I did what was necessary," Cesur replies. Banu tells him, "Each day you distance yourself more from your revenge." "I know exactly what I'm doing," he responds. What he doesn't know is that Suhan has overheard this entire conversation.

Cesur and Suhan leave the hospital, where Cesur is stopped by the police. They tell him he has to give his statement (about the kidnapping). Suhan says that she's the one who was kidnapped, so she should come too, right? They agree.

There's a brief phone conversation between Hulya and Cahide. Hulya says, "You're sleeping in separate rooms, which is what you wanted."

Cahide tells Sirin that Cesur must have known that Suhan would inherit everything after marriage.

Adalet tells everyone that from now on, no one mentions Suhan's name in this house.

Suhan wants to go to a hotel, not be with Cesur. Cesur tells her that if she goes away, Tahsin will know that the marriage is a sham. So apparently she stays with him.

Suhan and Cesur arrive at Cesur's house. Kemel and Sirin play a recording of Mendelssohn's wedding march as they enter. Cesur's mother is ecstatic.

With Cahide and Adalet within earshot, Korhan talks to his father, telling him that for everyone to have a normal life, Tahsin and Cesur need to settle their scores. Tahsin should sit at the table with Cesur and settle things. Tahsin promises to resolve things, but not at the table. Korhan asks, "Will you resolve them with a tomb? Will you kill your son-in-law?" Tahsin replies, "I don't have a daughter, so I don't have a son-in-law." And with that, the episode ends.

Thank you Juanita for your brief but comprehensive account of this episode! It was a good one that definitely had me on the “edge” a couple of times! What a hateful bunch of coconuts many of these people are in this episode, including some I like and have grown fond of! I’ll start with best to worst…….

Cesur- He seemed pretty cold and calculating——-period. Now we know why he stole Suhan’s ID, and not that I completely blame him, considering Mean daddy’s latest scheme to get rid of him. But the way he told Suhan that he did this because she is his “insurance policy,” seemed a little diabolical and the look in his eyes had not one shred of love in them. I guess survival trumps everything else……..

Korhan- calling Mean daddy like that, just to gloat and rub it in was petty and childish. On top of that, it was not his secret to tell. Suhan should’ve been the one to tell Mean daddy, to his face, and why she did it. Not that Mean daddy wouldn’t continue with his lying and deflective ways, but just the pleasure in knowing something that he didn’t should’ve been left to her.

Mirhiban- putting up with Cahide and her nonsense for as long as she did, turned me off. I loved when she did confront Cahide and threatened to throw her phone out the car window, but she should’ve gotten out of that cab long ago——-or never got in…….

Banu——-whether it was just the shock of the news, or real feelings of jealousy and loss, she outright lied in order to keep the marriage from happening. It was not because she no longer trusted Cesur or his plans, it was because she wanted to keep him free at all costs, or until he realizes that she is the one for him. Her desperation during the phone call to Suhan showed me that she will also stop at nothing to get Cesur.

Sirrin——-I just can’t stand her nosey, buttinski azz self!

Bulent—— the nerve of him to tell Suhan that he will never forgive her!! WTH! Jive ass Turkey! ( heard that in a 70’s movie, lol!)

Adalat—- WITCH who really killed Cesur’s father! Then has the nerve to tell Suhan that they break Mean daddy’s heart every chance they get! Like he’s a victim! STHU!! I want to see her go DOWN! I’m over the soft spot I previously had for her!

Cahide and Huyla—— these two chicken heads had their plan foiled to a degree. We all knew they were up to something like this. Cahide is so far up Mean daddy’s ass that she could probably taste what he ate for dinner! Korhan, please get a clue about who and what you married!

Mean daddy—- ENOUGH SAID!

I couldn’t even feel sorry for Mehmet at his loss……….sigh……

Question? That beautiful body of water that runs through Instanbul….what is it?

Carmella

The Bosporus?

Carmella
The Bosporus is a strait that separates Turkey into two parts , Anatolia and Thrace. It also runs between Asia and Europe .

Amor Val

Juanita, thanks for the recap. The visual only gives me certain clues .

So...it seems that Cesar took Suhan's ID so that he could get their marriage license . That ticked her off. Cesar is good at planning ahead.

The dress we saw Cesar buy Suhan had a topper that we didn't see..which made it look much better than just the dress ( Nina..ha) For course, Tuba looks good in anything . The bouquet was lovely . Cesar has good taste in flowers .

The writers really tried to trick us by making it seem as though it was Baddad who died , but I couldn't imagine how the story would continue minus the main villain . Well, Korhan and Suhan got to show off their running skills . We got to see lots of "taksies " . What is Mir doing babysitting Cahide?

So... the newlyweds are at Cesar's house now, and Cesar's mom is pleased as punch. Banu is mad as hell and muy jealous . Cahide is ticked that Suhan now owns the house . Korhan is happy if Suhan is happy, but he is suspicious of Caesar's intentions. Through it all, Sir is annoying and nosy and seriously ticked that she isn't in the loop while Kemel continues to be loyal to Cesar.

And, we are down one witness to Cesar's dad's death.

Amor Val

Thank you Susalynn! It’s so beautiful and all these dizi’s take full advantage of including it in many scenes. I’m also an ocean, sea, Great Lake, rolling river, whatever large, expanse body of water lover, lol.

Amor Val

Carmella, me, too. ..another connection . We loved to go down the shore to Cape May , Avalon, Stone Harbor . Our older daughter used to live by Lake Ontario . Love the water and swimming.

amor-val

Thanks very much, carmella and Susanlynn, for your interesting and insightful comments. Carmella, I loved your wonderful rundown of all the "hateful bunch of coconuts" who were disappointing in last night's episode, and especially your arranging them from best to worst! Wow! I'm entirely in agreement with most of your judgments, though perhaps not about Korhan. Mean daddy has been unjustifiably nasty to him for just about his entire life. I cheered when Korhan gloated about the marriage.

Susanlynn, several times you've commented on your depending almost exclusively on the visuals to figure out what's going on. Is that because you don't know Spanish, don't want to depend on Spanish or English captions, just don't want to be distracted from the visuals, or...???? Whatever the reason, I love the comments that you offer about the visuals, which (you've probably noticed) are not my strong point. You always help me see things I've missed.

Amor Val

Juanita, well , here's the story. I studied Latin and then French in high school . Since Latin is a dead language , we didn't speak it in ?class . Then I had the same teacher for French , and she taught French the same way that she taught Latin which was to learn vocabulary, songs, poems , but never actually converse much . In college I had two semesters of French and couldn't understand much of what the teacher was saying. Then, I had lots of Spanish speaking students and picked up a few common words.

I don't know how to get captions on my tv .

Probably the most important part is that I started watching Mexican telenovelas as something to focus on after my mother died , so I mostly use them to just escape from reality for a while and not think . . I am definitely a visual learner. I notice clothing , furniture, architcture, etc. I find it fascinating to see Turkish homes , offices, furnishings, clothes , jewelry and to see their customs and traditions ..weddings, funerals, births, holidays , etc

amor-val

Thanks so much Juanita for the great recap! You, Susanlynn and carmella have already offered so many great comments that I don’t have much to add.

At least we discovered the mystery of the Suhan id. Cesur certainly planned thing out very well. I love that Rifat and Kemal are his trusted confidants. Sirin and Banu were very disappointing. Banu calling Bulent for help? Ridiculous.

Suhan’s wedding outfit was the most flattering to date in my opinion. Cesur looks great in or out of anything.

I have to admit, I really thought the old geezer Tashin bought the farm last night, especially when Adalet fainted.

So the old guy who did die, Mehmet’s brother, why did they want to keep his identity a secret? “a 30-year-old book will open up and Cesur will find out who you really are." What 30-year-old book? What don’t we know about Hasan and Tashin’s relationship?

I hope Cesur finds out about Suhan inheriting the family home and they both go kick out Mean Daddy, Mean Step-Mom and Cahide.

amor-val

Thanks so much, Juanita, for such a fine description. Actually...it was a recap!

The first 20 minutes or so, maybe even up to a half hour, were to fool Viewerville. I was starting to fear the wedding would never happen. Cahide would have run Suhan over with her car, if given the opportunity, after hearing Suhan was going to inherit when married. Although, in thinking about it, that was pretty sexist of Nurhan (Suhan's mother). She has to have a husband before she inherits? But it seems that Nurhan wasn't so completely under Tahsin's thumb. She willed the land to Suhan and the product of the land (olives) to Korhan. Does Tahsin know this?

Cahide, pfft! I can't stand the way she looks. She's got those huge eyes that are just a little bit buggy and she's got that greedy litle mouth. I think she may somehow come a cropper because of Hulya. I'm getting a sense that Hulya may be trying to figure out a way to get Korhan for herself. If she could get him into bed, SHE'D be the one producing an heir. Although this probably wouldn't work because she's likely showing by now.

I know. What's the matter with Mihriban? I thought she had better sense than to befriend Cahide, a female serpent. But last night I think she got a good look at the serpent and may not spend so much time with her.

I love Korhan's smile. He's very attractive when he does so. And his sincere love for his little sister is touching. He was more than willing to defy Mean Daddy and be Suhan's witness at the wedding ceremony.

Adalet is a piece of work. They've shown some doubtful looks on her face about his arranging the kidnapping of his own daughter, but in the end she stands by her man.

I also noticed Banu desperately lying to try to prevent the wedding. Sigh. Why does there always have to be "another woman" scheming. Banu is better than some of the ones in the Mexican novelas, but still...

I enjoyed some cops or district attorneys who aren't bought and paid for grilling Tahsin. And...speaking of bulging eyes, this guy's almost pop out of his head.

Interesting ending. Tahsin says he has no daughter. I didn't expect him to give up on her so quickly.

Amor Val

Novelera, you described Cahide perfectly! She looks even worse when she pouts! She’s ugly through and through!

I, too, hope the whole lot of them get kicked outta the Big House, VVS! Except for Sirrin’s mother. Her husband and daughter are cracked pieces of work!

OT

Susanlynn, I was fascinated to read your account of your language instruction in high school. I too started with Latin and then moved to French. But in my case, the Latin teacher actually had us speaking Latin! Statements such as "Is it a good day today? Yes, it's a good day today. The sun is in the sky." The sad thing is that I probably spoke more in Latin than in French. Like your French teacher, mine almost never had us try to speak. She also taught it as if we were all dummies who had never encountered a language other than English, even though most of the students in the French class had, like me, taken two years of Latin.

Learning that you've never formally studied Spanish makes me even more in awe of how much you understand from these telenovelas and dizis. Your visual sense is amazing.

amor-val

Thanks very much, VVS, and novelera, for your great comments. VVS, I too thought at first that Tahsin had died, and for me too it was Adalet's response that did it. At the same time, I found it very hard to believe that they'd kill off the main Bad Guy with so much of the dizi yet to go. Indeed, I decided that even though it looked like Tahsin had died, they'd find a way to bring him back. Perhaps they'd see the sheet covering his supposed corpse start to move. As it turned out, of course, they didn't have to resort to such desperate measures.

Novelera, I too was afraid for quite a while that the wedding wouldn't occur. And then even when it did, Suhan's VERY LONG pause when she's asked whether she accepts Cesur as her husband made me wonder whether she'd pull out. As for Mihriban, let's hope that she's coming to her senses about Cahide. Like you and several others on the patio, I don't understand why she befriended Cahide to begin with. And I don't think that Tahsin has given up. He's had a big shock, but I think he'll try to find ways to undermine Cesur and to get Suhan back.

OT...Juanita, I think that the visual tells me so much because these actors and actresses show emotions so clearly in their facial expressions and body language. I also love observing the houses and different locales . Then, I find out what people are actually saying here thanks to the excellent recaps and comments. p.s. Our Latin teacher had us memorize "Adeste Fideles" , and I can still remember some of the lyrics and several little French songs we had to memorize . Miss Moore was big on memorization but not into actual conversation. I learned some Arabic phonetically from my students .

I think it was tricky of the writers to have Adalet faint . ha. They really wanted us to think that they had killed off the main meanie, but we all knew that wouldn't happen after watching many telenovelas. .

OT

I can't believe it! I also took two years of Latin in high school and loved it. Miss Mostenic was a wonderful teacher. She was the classic old maid schoolteacher. Hard to say how old she was. She seemed ancient but may have been only in her 50s. She teared up when talking about Julius Caeser. I think he was her crush. We absolutely read parts of his Gallic Wars. Also memorized and sang Adeste Fideles in class. I took Latin because my terrific middle school English teacher insisted it would improve my understanding of the structure of English...prefixes and suffixes. And that was just what intelligent people studied instead of the French I had been planning.

My French teacher focused on vocabulary. I knew all the names of vegetables but not so many verbs. I only took one year and I'm pretty sure we never got past the present tense. I somehow developed a decent accent; and, when visiting Paris, could manage to pronounce the menu items. I guess the standards of language instruction weren't that rigid in Akron, Ohio. We lucked out with Miss Mostenic. I would have taken another year of Latin if it had been offered.

OT...ha..novelera and juanita. We now have a sisterhood of Latin\French studies. My Miss Moore was of unknown age, but the classic old maid and very prim and proper. There were rumors that she was dating the high school librarian. The boys in my class were awful to her . She was also our English lit teacher and picked me to play Emily in " Our Town" and always gave me good grades. I think I might have been the daughter she never had ,and I am so glad that I wrote her a thank you note when I graduated . She died not long after I graduated.

Regarding verb tenses , I dont think we went anywhere near anything but present tense in my French classes. However, I used to teach all 12 Emglish verb tenses plus modals, prepositions, pronouns, possessives, count and non count nouns in a 15 week semester to my ESL students . Most did quite well. It always amazed me because I was never very successful at learning languages.

AMOR VALIENTE - WEEK OF 6/20-25:

Juanita: Thanks for the account here of the latest on Amor Valiente! You got all the high and low points of the action. My only question is with how you number these so I can follow. Telemundo shows On Demand #23, not 32. Since I am just starting with you in this blogging format, I just wanted to make certain. I finally caught up through all of Telemundo's verson via On Demand. I have been following the work of Tubu and Kivanc via other online streaming channels for a few years. This dizi is a great one, although I haven't been following your discourse these past few weeks, and I am totally involved.

**I want to know since Mirhabhan was jilted by Tahsin, how and why are she and her son now part of his company board and management?

Amor Val

Jardinera, I think no a lot of us are wondering why Mir is always hovering around toxic Tahsin and his family if he jilted her . I even wondered if Bulent might be his son because Bul is similar!y hateful , but Mir would not have endorsed Bulent's romance with Suhan , unless she knows that Tahsin is not Suhan's father. That would be a truly tangled web. Anyhoo, most of us are confused as to why Mir seems to be nasty Cahide's bff. QTH???

amor-val

Jardinera, so nice to see you at Telemundo Central! We haven't been having "official" recaps as many of us were tired of doing them for Hercai: Amor y Venganza.

It's been more of an "if the mood strikes you" so as to get something up to spur comments. I don't see a problem going forward with us trying to number the initial comment (almost recap).

Novelera- that’s fine. I love this TM. It has all the things that keep us coming back!!

I liked Hercal but had to choose, and now this is #3 season? Good but recapping the same one for a year or more….meh! Same for Ambassador’s Daughter.

Ps—Jardinera654

Susanlynn- I never liked Claude. She put the barbed wire under the saddle I believe, and eventually Korean will get wise and kick her and the pillow belly out of his olive tree

Ps— Jardinera654

Cahilda??—Jardinera654

Amar Val
I took Latin and French in high school also and in college. Same results. When I teach myself I do much better. Did wait till I turned 51-2 to Start Spanish.

Amor Val— I keep forgetting to add the name of the TM!!—jar

amor-val

Not to worry about forgetting the title at the top, Jardinera. Those of you spending more time on Uni often have a new page for each episode. We do two a week that cover everything airing on Telemundo.
