Caray, Caray!

Hey, JudyB, there are plenty of icy beverages on the patio tonight but it is BYOS: Bring Your Own Snack.  Summer has just started but it has gotten the best of many of us (like me) already! 

1. The episode opens with Natalia telling Adrián that she is still in love with Chente and he telling her that he will do all he can to make her forget him. She makes it clear that he needs to take it slow as they give their marriage one last chance.  (I must say that Susana González being the great actress she is is able to portray Natalia as a very poor actress as she lies to Adrián.  How could he ever have believed her???) 

2. Mario is in no mood to talk about the car restoration business with Vale. His mind is somewhere else and he leaves with an annoyed Vale who thinks he must be involved with another woman. 

4. Once outside of the repair shop,  Mario calls Agent Sandra Arellanos. He is ready to cooperate with the authorities to establish his innocence.

5. At the shindig at the fonda, Chole is sitting with Chente, GrannyMagos and Ben. Chole wonders why Tavo had to show up with his wife. GrannyMagos says at least Chente is doing  the right thing by marrying Olga. Chole disagrees saying she  would rather be a single mother than pressure Tavo with a baby. Chente offers to talk to Tavo on her behalf. She thanks him but says that this dog is hers and she will decide whether to bathe it or not. 

6. After a too long of a trip down memory lane, an exuberant Adrián (I wonder if he has peso signs dancing in his eyes) INSISTS on taking Natalia back to the shindig at the fonda himself. 

7. Mario meets with agent Sandra and agent Marco at the Fed headquarters telling them that he thought if he volunteered to help them he would be showing that he was innocent. Neither agent is happy that Natalia talked to him about the case. Mario says if Natalia put herself at risk it is because he is innocent. When he went to work for Elías, he had no idea that he was into illegal arms sales and Adrián was into money laundering. They find it suspicious that he is working with Adrián again and think that since he knows all about Elías' and Adrián's illegal dealings, he is their accomplice. 

8. Olga comes to the beauty shop looking for Chole. Kim tells her she is at the shindig at the fonda. 

9. As they are eating, Connie makes a point reminding Tavo how everyone in the  neighborhood has turned their back on him.  He thinks it is because Chole bad-mouthed him. Connie  blames it on these low class people and adds it is fortunate that he has realized he doesn't belong in this milieu. 

10. Julián arrives and Tere takes him out of the fonda and into the living room to talk to him. Connie observes them leaving.

11. Julián is concerned about  Claudio's reaction to them being together and tells Tere if she wants to cut it off with him, he will understand. Tere tells him there is no problem because she has separated from Claudio and he has no right  to complain to her about anything.  Julilán is happy because he is determined to find out what her angels  told him in the card reading about romance. Could it be that Cupid escaped from her cards and is hanging out around them?  The magical moment is broken when Connie  comes in t looking all aghast and judgmental at Julián kissing her mother's hand.

12. With Connie gone, Chole goes to update Tavo about their baby. Everything is  going well and she  shows him the latest ultrasound. He is not interested and tells her to show it to the baby's father. She says she did and goes back to her table. 

13. Tere introduces Julián to Connie her oldest. Connie makes it clear she is only one year older than Natalia.  Julián  compliments Connie on her beauty and Connie starts giving them the third degree as to how long they have knows each there, etc.   When she hears that Julián is a business man who hired Natalia for his catering company, Connie has the nerve to embarrass  her mother telling her that she is making better choices. Evidently, Julián decides to get going while the going is good. He has a meeting. After he is gone, Connie says she wants to know everything. 

14. Olga barges into the fonda saying Chente must have forgotten to tell her that they were going to eat at the fonda. Chente says he didn't forget. She was sleeping and he didn't want to disturb her. GrannyMagos says sometimes pregnancy makes you very sleepy. Chole says that isn't happening to her but for those who are lazy, they just go on being lazy. Olga gets the message and doesn't appreciate it.  

15. Connie continues harassing Tere with her questions. Tere tells her that they are only friends and if she thinks it is something to make fun of, that isn't happening. Connie just doesn't want her to make the same mistake she made with her father. Is Tere sure he is single? (What a B!) Tere tells her he is  a widower. Connie is so happy that everyone is finding a worthy partner. Now if only Natalia would get back with Adrián!  Tere cannot believe Connie is the main promoter for Natalia and Adrián getting back together. She adds that after Adrián abandoned Natalia and his family,  it was as if she only was only interested in seeing her sister unhappy. Tere leaves in disgust as Connie smiles.

16. Samia calls Connie all upset about having found out that  Elías is cheating on her  with Vero.  She needs Connie to come over NOW. Connie asks how she found out. Samia is shocked as she thinks that Connie knew. Connie is coming over immediately. 

17. Regina and Ben talk to Lorenzo. He has a gift for Ben. It is a cellphone so he can record videos with Regina and he can talk to her any time he wants. Ben asks if he can keep it. Regina says his father will have to make that decision. 

18. Mario tells the agents how he was left holding the bag by Adrián and how he stayed to face the consequences. He did not run away and he did his utmost to try to  return all of the money their clients. Then his own sister defrauded him by selling off  all of his property and instead of reimbursing the clients she took the money and ran. His own sister was Adrián's accomplice. Marco shows him some photos and tells him they want to know about this particular woman. He has photos of Vero with Elías, Adrián and him. 

19. Ben brings the phone over to Chente and asks if he can keep it. Chente is not too happy about it but ends up accepting it and tells Ben he will be able to use it when he asks him for permission. Ben thanks Lorenzo. 

20. Connie tells Tavo she has to go to Samia's who a problem with Elías. Right before she is going to leave, she sees Natalia come in with Adrián. She sits back down. 

21. A jubilant Adrián takes center stage at the fonda along side a serious looking Natalia to make an announcement. Natalia has decided to give him another chance to save their marriage!!!  Andrea is giddy with joy as Omar stares off into space. Chente looks sick. Connie is all smiles as is Olga. Tere and Regina are not pleased. 

22. Mario explains how Adrián and Vero disappeared together with the  money from the finance company while he lost everything. What surprises him is that Vero is Elías' lover. He is sure she doesn't even realize how dangerous a man he can be. Marco tells him that in spite of his statement, he is still not free from being under suspicion. Sandra tells him that he is going to be strictly surveilled and at any attempt to leave the country or to alert Adrián, Elías or Vero,  he will be arrested at once.  Mario makes it clear that they have his absolute discretion and support to make sure all of those criminals end up in jail. 

23. An approving and smiling Connie tells Adrián and Natalia that she knew it was just a matter of time until her sister came to her senses.  Connie reminds Adrián to act like a man commensurate with his social class this time.  He assures her he will. Connie wants them to come over for supper to celebrate tomorrow. 

24. Claudio has turned into a homeless man and is stumbling along with bags on his feet as Connie leaves the fonda. He falls to his knees and begs her to come to her home to pick up his clothing he left there. He also would bathe and rest for just a while. He asks her to allow him to get back a bit of his dignity. Connie says she's in such a good mood, she will let him to do exactly that. She will call Delia. She gives him one hour and then she wants him gone from her family forever. 

25. Marco explains to Mario that they need to gather irrefutable evidence about Elías' and Adrian's illegal businesses. Sandra says they are looking for specific documents that can connect them to the illegal arms trafficking  and money laundering.  They also need the locations of the warehouses where the arms are stored.  Mario thinks he can help because Adrián thinks he thinks that they are pulling a fast one on him. All Mario is asking is that they help him clear up  how his sister died. Sandra says they will help him as much as they can. He also asks that they not involve Natalia. Sandra says she has already agreed to be their informant and tells him not to worry about her. 

26. Back at the fonda, Olga is trying to cheer up a visibly shaken Chente by reminding  him that he has her!! Andrea is overjoyed while Regina is not a happy camper. Adrián doesn't want to waste this beautiful opportunity. Natalia is still looking serious. 

27.  Chente ends up confronting Natalia in the kitchen. He knows he has no right to complain about anything but her decision is breaking  his heart.  

28. Tavo leaves the fonda giving Chole the stink eye. Olga is moaning that Chente went to complain to Natalia about her going back other husband when she is gong to be his wife!!  Granny Magos says he only went to check if Natalia was okay.  Olga is not believing that and advises her to not be her grandson's pimp. GrannyMagos warns  her not to talk to her like that and adds that the inmates are running the asylum. Olga still wants to find out what is going on but Granny Magos won't let her get up. Chole says it is best to wait and do her baby a favor. 

29. In the kitchen, Chente is still  alive and well in the world of the double standard. He explains that he has to marry Olga because of the baby but he doesn't understand why Natalia  has to go running back to Adrián.  Natalia tries to put it very clearly so he will understand. It has nothing to do with him. He is doing the right thing by making a family with Olga. He asks again what  she is doing by going back to  Adrián???  If she is trying to remove herself from his heart, that will never happen. He will love her until his broken heart stops beating. Natalia tells him that she will always love him BUT their lives are going in different directions. They have to accept the reality of taking care of their own families and with that  they may be far apart even it hurts them to the very bottom of their souls. 

30. Omar goes for some coffee and Andrea is left alone with her father.  Adrián thanks her for trusting him from the very start and gives her the majority of the credit for her mother agreeing to give him another chance. Andrea  has one message for him. If he hurts her mother again,  he can forget  about Omar, her and the baby.  He swears to make them all happy because they are all he has. 

31. (Knucklehead) Chente still hasn't gotten the message and asks how Natalia  can be with a man she doesn't care for. She insists she is doing it for her daughters. Exasperated,  she tells him to stop asking her questions because she cannot answer them, no, she doesn't WANT to answer them because what they had is OVER! She tells him to take care of his family and asks him to allow her do the same with hers. Chente says that is breaking his heart. Natalia informs him that is EXACTLY how she felt when Olga let her know that she was pregnant with his baby and when she had to resign herself to him marrying another woman. He insists it isn't a marriage based on love. Natalia reminds there isn't anything to be done about that. She describes them as two broken hearts that have to learn how to keep beating because of the love they have  for their children. Chente leaves in tears. Natalia cries in the kitchen. 

32. Regina tells Lorenzo about how upset she is about her mother going back so easily to her father after all he did ton them. Lorenzo can only say  that he thinks it is great that her father has fought so hard to get his family back. Maybe she should support her mother giving her father a second chance. (WAKE UP, Regina))

33. Samia tells Connie that she suspected that something was going on with Elías but didn't want to believe it.  Connie insists that she knew nothing about it.!!!!  If she had, she would have warned her right away!!! Samia says that she was stoic in front of Elías. She wouldn't let him see that it affected her even though it was tearing her up on the inside. She even dared to invite Vero to come to breakfast tomorrow at the club. Connie is stunned!!!  Samia needs her to come with her to breakfast so they can find a way to destroy that slut. Connie says she can count on her!!! Connie tells Samia the news about Natalia and Adrián. Samia is shocked.

34. Adrián wants to take Natalia out for supper. She begs off saying she is exhausted and reminds him they agreed to take it slowly. He says he wasn't trying to force anything. He is happy to just have this chance. He leaves. Natalia says she wants to talk to both of her daughters about why she is back with their father. 

35. Natalia tells Tere, JuanGa and Lorenzo that she wishes she could help them clean up but she has to talk to her girls.  Lorenzo ofers to stay to help. Juanga gives him the job of washing the dishes. Lorenzo "smiles" and goes to wash the dishes. 

36. Claudio appears at Connie's and Delia lets him in. As soon as he is alone, he grabs a bottle of liquor and guzzles it from the bottle. When Delia returns, she tells him to take off his stinky clothes so she can wash them. He is going to take a nice hot bath and leave the clothing in the bedroom. 

37. Olga is after Chente again for not respecting her as his future wife by always going after Natalia. He makes it clear that they may have ended their relationship but that doesn't mean that he has stopped worrying about her. He has had enough of Olga's same old song and dance and walks away as she says he is ruining his life running after somebody who doesn't even want him. 2XJosé comes in and gets an earful from Olga saying that Chente doesn't realize that he is being used. 

38. Natalia tells her daughters that she doesn't know if she should tell them the truth about what is going on or if it would be to their benefit if she didn't say a thing. Her instinct is to protect them but they will find out the truth sooner or later. This situation will take them by surprise just like when their father abandoned them.  Natalia says there is a reason she got back with their father but it has nothing to do with saving their marriage. Natalia goes on to tell them that if after hearing what she has to tell them they do not agree with what she is doing, she will put it aside recognizing that what is going to happen to their  father is inevitable.  She explains that all morning long she was talking to the police about charges they may have against Elías and their father. Andrea goes bonkers as usual. Natalia  tells them that they shouldn't be telling this to anyone. (REALLY? tell GOOFY Andrea and expect her to keep her mouth shut?? How many more people will Natalia tell when she was supposed to tell NOBODY?) She  explains that their father and Elías have been involved in illegal activities and the police have asked her to get close to their father with the purpose of getting incriminating information so that they can imprison him. 

39. Claudio makes the rounds at Connie's looking for valuables and liquor. He finds a gun but wipes his prints off after touching it and returns it to its place. He finds the ruby necklace and earring set that Natalia sold to Connie and takes that as well as all of the liquor bottles he can fit in his luggage. Connie arrives saying that his hour is up and asks why he is still there. He says he was waiting for Delia to finish washing and drying his clothes. He makes the mistake of asking Connie if she will help him get back with her mother. She laughs in his face. He says he found out she is going out with some strange guy. Who knows what his intentions are? Connie tells him that he has lost the war. Julián is a gentleman, a real man not a mediocre alcoholic like him. She adds that he is so insignificant that her mother has already turned the page. He refuses to believe it. Connie says she knows her mother has moved on because she saw her mother and Julián kissing. 

40. As usual, Andrea defends her father (YAWN). Andrea  explains that her father just could be innocent and not know what Elías is doing. Elías is wicked. Anything else was Vero's fault but they blamed her father for everything.  Her father told her so. Regina doesn't agree. Natalia suggests they all calm down. and look at it from Andrea's point of view. Natalia says at this point,  everything is perhaps just a "suspicion" from the police's point of view and in the end,  there will be no evidence that their father did anything wrong.  Regina decides she wants to support her mother in finding out the truth.
