I posted this to the previous page but I don't think anyone saw it.

Didn't watch, but I found the most important things that happened on a site (scroll to the end if you want to read the official article).

Important things that happened:
• Isaura finds out it was Alfredo who placed the cameras, took the pictures e.t.c. and wants a lot of money for her silence.
• When Lucía confronts Alfredo about the pictures, Isaura takes Alfredo's side, saying that it wasn't him. Lucía believes her.
• Alfredo gives a lot of money to Isaura for lying.
• Fernando is abducted by some of the guys who got the truck last episode (Carlos' men).
• Gertrudis and Heri kick Lucía out of her house and unfortunately that's perfectly legal, because Jacobo (Lucía's dad) had signed the papers in exchange for Lucía's freedom (which turned out to be useless, since she didn't get out because of Heri).

So now Lucía not only has pictures of herself which she did not take on the internet, not only has lost her father, not only Heri had tried to rape her previously, but now she doesn't have a house too.

Mexicana. Although Viiyeri's motives in advising Megan not to have sex with Brandon (Save yourself for marriage), are hardly pristine, in this case it's probably good advice. Brandon is hardly a reliable romantic partner.

It’s very dramatic so far and oh so many characters to keep track of! Lol

This is an over-the-top comedy so most anything goes, but the scene in Sebastián's office, with the "irate" husband of the woman who mistakenly got the XXXL implants (I'm not even going to try to guess the cup size) has got to be one of the craziest scenes in this novela.

Sra. Bazooms made quite an entrance. Watch out for back problems, honey.

Megan is nice, but she's an absolute ditz.

I don't know why Andrea had to berate Chabela like that, and then forgive her. These two are an odd couple.

Mario, Sofía, and Ignacio are an odd threesome.

One problem with so many characters is that some of my favorites don't get enough air time. Woe is me   :-)

Of course, which characters are my favorites changes from night to night.

Mexicana. Sebastian did get off the hook pretty easily for Katya's and Viiyeri's substitution of the wrong implant in Sebastian's office--to frame Paulina, presumably, and give Katya more of a chance with Diego (though we all know he's gay).

OK, I'm not watching but turned the channel on earlier than usual and did see this scene. Say whaaattt? I couldn't figure it out so thanks for explaining. I think the "irate" hub is Suzanna Gonzalez' real life hubby.

When that happens, that my comments disappear, I should just let it go as it seems I never figure out what caused them to be censored anyway.

Rgv Chick, thank you! I'm not sure what the best thing to do is when I get censored. When I try different variants they all get censored. Maybe the algorithms have me tagged as bad guy for a day.


Diana, I'm sorry you are not watching this novela, but I know we can't watch them all. But so far this is my favorite of all I have watched. It is very different, of course; it's a raucous comedy rather than the traditional melodrama.

This one and Yo soy Betty, la fea are, hands down, my faves.

Embajador S3 #40 part 1

Mavi returns home. Despondent, she sits on the couch without even taking her coat off. Sancar has been waiting there. He comes to sit with her and asks, do you know what I wished for last night? To have a baby. I’m very ashamed about that. [Turkish] Because I was afraid to hurt you. But I see the nails driven into my heart don’t bother you.

What is this about, Mavi asks? Why did you hide that you were pregnant, he asks in reply? She’s surprised. How did you know? He’s got his confirmation—so it’s true? He’s pained. You are carrying my child my child in your belly? You hid it from me, and you went and killed him?

To the newlyweds having a meal outdoors. Kavruk tells Zehra it was a good idea to take a walk. It opened the appetite, he says, I’m glad you decided to cancel the massage. She glares, Kavruk! He laughs, now I’m Kavruk? Not Omer? It’s too bad you continue to talk about that, she scolds, it’s annoying. You don’t think to talk about another subject? Yes, so I got jealous, what’s wrong with that?

Kavruk answers, Zehra, is it possible that my eyes could ever see anyone else in this world? I love you. We’ll see if you always think that way, she replies. Why do you say that, he asks? I’ll love you the rest of my life. And I’m going to think you are the most beautiful woman until the day I die. She puts her hands on her stomach, are you going to keep loving me when I’m pregnant and I’m a few extra kilos heavier? On that day, I’m going to love you even more, he responds. And when will that happen, she asks? Whenever you want, he answers and kisses her hands. They get back to their meal.

Back to the beach house. Sancar jumps up from the couch. Aren’t you going to tell me anything? I think I have the right to know. This is also my child. Of course I was going to tell you, she says, I went to the doctor to be sure. I didn’t go to end the pregnancy. This is more confirmation for Sancar, you are… you are pregnant? She nods and says, but it’s very early. Seven weeks. It’s not a baby yet. [confirmation that Sancar got it done on the first go.]

Sancar sits again. He looks a little hopeful, a little excited. But it will grow, he tells her, and it will be a baby. He takes her hands. And in a few years, it will be big like Melek. Don’t you see? There is a life inside you. She sighs, I don’t want to talk about this now. Please don’t get dramatic.

Why are you upset, he asks? [Turkish] Fate wanted us to be parents. Allah is all-knowing. I know you are upset, he says, I can’t even imagine the pain in your heart. But Allah wants you to become a mother. He wants you to bring life into this world. Mavi jumps up, I can’t. I’m scared, Sancar, I can’t do it! Please look at me, he replies, I am here with you.

Sancar, can’t you see, she cries, can’t you understand? She shouts, I took you away from your loved ones! Wherever I go I bring pain, I bring death! Death! Sancar begs her not to say that. Think of Melek and me, he tells her. What would have become of us if not for you? I was at the point of losing my mind. Melek was sad all the time. You were our salvation.

She sobs, but I’m not capable of taking care of anyone entrusted to me. Don’t you see? I can’t do it. They all die. My grandmother. My daughter. All of them! Do you know how I struggle not to love you and Melek? I swear I fight with myself every day. [Turkish] I tell myself, “Leave here, leave, Mavi, if you stay with them, you are going to tie them into your curse!” I torture myself.

 

Embajador S3 #40 part 2

I swear I understand, Sancar says, but what happened wasn’t your fault. Your grandmother died of natural causes. And your daughter… I know her life was very short. The accident wasn’t your fault. Sedat was the only one responsible. We can’t decide who lives and who dies. This is not in our hands. You know this better than I do.

Mavi grabs her bag and takes out a paper. You have to sign this because we are married, she says, otherwise, I can’t abort. Sancar is shattered. It’s a sin, he tells her, I can’t. She replies, Sancar… if you don’t sign, it will be a mistake. Because I can’t do this. I can’t give birth. We will hate each other. If you don’t sign this, you will lose me, you will ruin our marriage. He cries silent tears. Think, she asks, do you want that? He looks at her and the paper. He takes it and signs. This is so sad.

Elvan is in the store and she’s speaking with Ali Amca [Uncle Ali, IIRC he rented the store to her] and asking him to come. He must be hard of hearing, because she is shouting and repeating herself. As the call ends, Yahya shows up, all smiles. He gives her a business card to a real estate agent. It’s a friend of his. He’s expecting a call from you, Yahya says, or you can go see him. He’s got a house he wants to show you. Elvan stares for a moment, then sighs, did I do anything to give you hope? Why are you behaving like this? Don’t misinterpret, he replies, the house isn’t for me, it’s for you. And why are you involved in this, she asks?

All this time, we have taken care of each other, Yahya tells her. It’s not necessary for us to be enemies just because things didn’t go as we expected. I’m just looking out for your wellbeing. Divorced people can help and support each other. Maybe you’re right, she answers. [is she thinking of Didem? Lol]

Yahya continues, I don’t know exactly where it’s located, I don’t even want to see it. Halis (the agent) will be in charge of helping you. After that, I’ll pay the rent for a year. Elvan is about to object, but Yahya adds, it’s a loan. It will be a loan. You can choose the house you like most. I just want to be calm that you have a roof to shelter you. I have no other intentions. I swear. I just want to be sure you’re safe. [do you think he’s telling the truth?] He leaves. Elvan looks confused. She calls Mavi.

Sedat comes back to the conference room looking a bit disheveled and still trying to shake off the beating he received from Sancar. Are you sure you don’t want to go to a doctor, Guven asks? Sedat laughs it off, for these little wounds? I don’t know if you underestimate Sancar, Guven replies, or you’re more reckless than I thought [how about insane?]. For a moment, I thought he was going to kill you.

Sedat laughs again, you would have allowed it? If he killed me, he would have gone to prison, and they would give you your granddaughter. You would have everything you wish for. Guven agrees that would be good but adds, it would be too easy for my taste. [lol, Sedat has a pain in his neck.] I would want Sancar in prison, Guven says, and I would like it if you went to visit him when that happens. As he watches his life go by behind bars, you could tell him you would take care of his wife. Maybe with that suffering, I’ll finally feel satisfied.

Sedat is a bit surprised. I thought your only interest was to get rid of him. I don’t understand. Guven growls and shakes his head. Sedat leans in and asks, tell me, why are you so obsessed with him? Before Guven can answer, a goon interrupts to say Halise wants to speak with him. Don’t make her wait, Guven responds. And he quickly tells Sedat, don’t worry, one day I’ll tell you. [or he can read Caray to catch up!]

 

Embajador S3 #40 part 3

Halise and Dudu enter. Both men stand to greet them. Halise addresses Guven, you know Dudu, she’s like a daughter to me. Guven acknowledges and asks Dudu, how are you? If you allow, I will introduce you to Sedat Bey, our new lawyer. Dudu takes a look at him. [Is she impressed or maybe she’s just thinking “why does this guy have a black eye”?] They shake hands. “Memnun oldum” - pleased to meet you, he says. “Bende” – me too, Dudu replies. Hmm… Sedat seems interested in our dopey Dodo.

Halise continues, you know Dudu used to work at the marina. She speaks different languages, she is a well-trained girl. I would like her to work here again. Guven is ready to hire her and asks the ladies to sit. Uh, oh, Sedat keeps looking at Dudu. What is he planning? Guven says it’s good timing because he’s looking for a new general manager. Dudu is excited. Halise is confident Dudu will do a good job and says, she won’t disappoint me. Dudu responds, I’ll work day and night…. I’m grateful for the opportunity. Sedat turns to her, it will be a pleasure working with you Dudu Hanım. [but will it be a pleasure for Dudu?]

A subdued dinner at the beach house for Sancar and Mavi. Poor Melek has no idea what’s going on. She says school was great and she talks about a new friend she made. Her name is Elif [lol, KPA reference!] and she sits next to me. Sancar wants to hear about Elif. Melek replies, she’s happy like us. Maybe a little happier. Happier than us, Mavi asks, how could that be? Because she will soon have little brothers. Her mother is having two babies and they will be a happy family. Elif will get to choose the babies’ names.

Sancar glances at Mavi. Mavi has a blank look, then looks down at her meal. Melek asks, if one day I have a brother, will you let me choose his name, Mavi? Please? Mavi gives the blank look to Melek. She’s about to answer but Sancar speaks up. Listen, you chose the name for Gediz. Isn’t that enough? Maybe when Zehra and Kavruk have babies, they will let you. What do you think?

It’s not the same, Melek replies. You don’t understand. I want a baby that’s with me. I want to be able to change his diaper, teach him to talk, teach him to walk. I could even take him to the park when I get older. I could help you. I would love my brother very much. Don’t you think that would be nice, Mavi? If you have a baby, it would be as beautiful as you.

Mavi tries to smile at Melek’s sweetness. She doesn’t answer and looks at Sancar. Sancar jumps in once again. Daughter, I asked you about classes and you changed the subject. How was Math and Social Studies? We were asked to do a family tree in Social Studies, Melek replies, I’m going to do it tonight. You ignored me, but I’ll still draw my brother last and when he’s finally born, I will place his picture. [Yes, Melek they are ignoring you.] Mavi changes the subject to the soup. That soup isn’t going down very well for Sancar. [The way he looked at Melek and Mavi at the end of that scene broke my heart.]

Slight cut at the beginning. Halise is alone at the dinner table. She’s speaking with Yahya on the phone. Your brother’s not coming, she tells him, Zehra has left, but why don’t you come? We only hear her end of the convo. Huh? Yeah? Well… and? None of you have respect for your mother! Don’t come either! Let none of you come! I don’t need anyone, thank God!

Gulsiye enters with a bowl of soup for Halise and goes right back into the kitchen, where Necdet is making a pig of himself with his meal. Eat slower, she admonishes, you will choke. I won’t choke, my cookie (kurabiyem), he assures her, I’ll just eat and run. Hmmm…. Gulsiye smiles at him, no nasty comment. She sits down to eat her bowl of soup.

 

Embajador S3 #40 part 4

Halise can hear Gulsiye and Necdet’s convo from the dining room. She’s feeling lonely. [I could almost feel sorry for her, but she did this to herself.] Halise gets up and goes to the kitchen. Gulsiye immediately stands up. What happened? If you need something, i can bring it. Necdet stands. You didn’t like the soup, Gulsiye asks? No, I didn’t come for that, Halise replies, I didn’t even try it yet.

Necdet excuses himself and thanks Gulsiye for dinner and says good night to Halise. What are you doing, she replies, take a seat. You don’t have to go. Finish your dinner. She asks Gulsiye to bring her soup into the kitchen. I want us to have dinner together. That’s a shocker for Gulsiye. Why are you looking at me like that, Halise asks, did I say something to offend you? I said we will eat together. What’s wrong? Bring my soup.

Gulsiye snaps out of it and goes for the soup. Halise makes Necdet sit to finish his dinner. I would love to have dinner with you both, she says to Necdet, we can share this moment to talk and enjoy the food. [Halise must be desperate.] It would be a pleasure, Necdet replies, they say people need other people. And we are happier when you came. How nice you want to stay and talk with us. Gulsiye brings the soup.

They start eating. Halise says the soup is delicious. They cut the end. Gulsiye warns Necdet not to slurp. He takes bread, dips it in the soup and jams it into his mouth. Gulsiye tells Necdet to have some salad and he takes it with his hand and puts it in his mouth! Gulsiye scolds, with a fork! Halise does not mind any of this because she’s desperate for company.

Guven and Sedat are meeting with the actor who will play Mavi’s father. The actor says, sir, I thought the audition was for a part in a film. How am I going to do this? How long have you been without work, Guven asks? Must be a long time because the guy hangs his head. Guven continues, you see, I know you were fired because of your addiction. You kept going to rehab. I’ve been rehabilitated, the actor says, I’ve been away from that for around a year. [he said several years in the Turkish]

Sedat asks if the actor was able to get any work during this time. He had a few auditions, but no work. Sedat explains this wouldn’t be much different than acting. Influence and control Mavi, that’s it. Easy, no camera is the only difference. Guven pulls a big check out of his pocket. You can make a new life with this money, he tells the actor. [Check is for 500,000 TL, that’s almost 30,000 USD right now.] You could buy your own theater, Guven tempts. You don’t have to be involved much. Just play your part for a few days. It will be easy. The actor reluctantly agrees.

They rehearse. What is your name? Harun Altinet. What is your daughter’s name? Mavi Cinar. Why are your last names different? Unfortunately, her grandmother didn’t want me to marry her mother. They made my life impossible, and I had to go abroad. Why look for your daughter after all these years? While flying to Istanbul, I met an old acquaintance on the plane. The name? The actor needs to think. It was…. Munever Hanım. She told me Mavi lost her daughter about a year ago. It made me sad and I felt regretful because I wasn’t with her. When I looked, I found out she was in Bodrum. Sedat and Guven are pleased.

Guven gives “Harun” a cell phone registered to that name. It’s in the directory. If she looks, she will find her father. I want you to take this telephone and write a text message of love to your daughter.

 

Embajador S3 #40 part 5

Guven dictates the text: “my dear daughter, I wrote this text because I don’t know if I should call you. I still doubt. Before anything, I want you to know that I am very sorry. I regret each moment I spent without you. I came to the city and I want to see you. I think it’s very difficult for you to forgive me, but I hope you can give me an opportunity. Your father, Harun. It’s sent. We’ll see what happens, Sedat says.

TV time at the beach house. Melek asleep is between her mom and dad on the couch. The characters on the TV are in a baby store to buy clothes. Sancar and Mavi are silent. I don’t think they are even paying much attention to the show. We see the text come in but we don’t see anyone pick up the phone.

Meanwhile Guven and Sedat are anxiously waiting for Mavi to read the text. Sedat assures Guven that Mavi’s father is her weakness. She won’t lose the opportunity to meet him. Guven is getting discouraged. A message comes in from Mavi: I don’t know if I can forgive you, but at least I will try. I’ll send you a location. We will meet there tomorrow at noon. I told you so, Sedat says. They send Harun Bey to a hotel for the night to rest up for the big reunion tomorrow. Guven and Sedat laugh.

Dudu is outside the marina. She’s walking on air. General manager, Dudu, she says, that sounds nice. She wishes herself good luck before going in. She hears a car horn and turns. Sedat has arrived. They greet each other. He tells her to drop the formalities. That’s okay with her. Have you had breakfast, he asks? She didn’t have time, she was so busy getting ready. It was worth it, he tells her, you look beautiful. Nervous laugh from Dudu. [uh, oh, what does he want from her?]

Should we go somewhere nice and have breakfast, he offers, we could talk business and get some fresh air, too. It sounds good, Dudu replies, but I’m afraid it’s my first day and I don’t want to arrive late. As far as I know, they named you general manager of the marina, he says, you can make your own schedule. I also told Guven what we would do during the breakfast.

Sancar asks Melek if she wants him to take her to school. Mavi says she will take Melek. What will you do after, Sancar asks, will you go shopping? No, I’ll come home, Mavi answers. And you, she asks? Sancar says he’s going to the marina. I have pending business, he says, we’ll talk later. Melek notices her parents’ expressions. Are you angry, she asks? Sancar looks at his daughter. Okay, I’m sorry, Melek says, I understand, they are adult problems.

Sancar says I’ll see you tonight and he heads for the door. Melek asks him to wait. You didn’t give us a kiss. Sancar gives Melek kisses on the cheek, a big smile, and an I love you very much. He kisses Mavi, the same, but without emotion or words. He leaves.

Newlywed brekkie. He gives the waiter very specific orders on the eggs. Omelet with sausage and exactly how to prepare it. Don’t break the yolks. He asks for more olives, the ones with pimientos. Zehra is impressed. How do you know what I like for breakfast, she asks? I pay attention to everything you like, he replies. For example, if the yolk breaks, you couldn’t eat the white. And after Sancar told you [Turkish] “they stole the bones from the olives and they put the peppers in it instead”, you loved olives like that.

Zehra laughs. She takes Kavruk’s hands. I don’t know many things about you like you do me. But I want to know everything you like, I’m going to make an effort. You are what I like most in life, Zehra, he replies, I don’t need anything else while you are with me. You make me very happy, she tells him.

 

Embajador S3 #40 part 6

Promise me only one thing, Kavruk says, if one day, you don’t love me anymore, if you don’t want to be with me, if you regret it, you must tell me. Zehra, please, promise me you will tell me. No, Kavruk, she replies, that is never going to happen. That day will never come. I love you too much and the only thing I regret is we didn’t get married sooner.

Gulsiye find a melancholy Necdet sitting outside. What’s wrong, she snarks, you have nothing more to do than look at the ground all day? I suppose that’s the only work you have today is to watch the ants work. No reaction from Necdet. Something is wrong. Are you ignoring me, Gulsiye asks, is this your new tactic? Okay, as you wish, and Gulsiye starts to walk away. Necdet blurts, they sentenced Menekse to ten years in prison.

Gulsiye turns around. I can’t believe it. She comes and sits next to Necdet. Ten long years, he says, my mother is destroyed. She says that Menekse is no longer worth anything. Why’s that, Gulsiye asks? Because in 10 years, she will have neither youth nor beauty. No one will accept a woman who was in prison for so long.

Gulsiye starts, if you think the same… Necdet says no, he doesn’t. He just feels sorry for his sister. Gulsiye puts her hand on Necdet’s shoulder, don’t feel bad. There’s nothing you can do. The only thing you can do is to go visit her. He says he will. He won’t abandon his sister.

Necdet looks at Gulsiye’s basket and asks, give me an “orange”. Yes, he said it in English. What did you say, she asks? “Portakal”, I told you in English, he proudly says. She gives him one. This is a portakal, he tells her. And what is a “limon” (lemon), she asks? I still don’t know much, he replies, but now I know how to say portakal.

What he does in the original is tell her words in Turkish, not English, but he makes it seem he’s speaking English. No wonder Gulsiye is confused. He tells her that English is difficult and it can be confusing. Goodbye, he tells her as she walks off, goodbye. Yes, he said that in Ingilizce.

Bora is packing up the café. Elvan comes by with Ali Amca and makes him sit at a table. Who is this man, Bora asks. Elvan speaks loudly to Ali. This is Bora, your tenant. Remember we spoke about him? Ali says nothing. She tries to get him to remember and answer. She tells him to nod. The man finally nods. And he won’t raise the rent. Right Ali Amca? She makes him nod his head again. She babbles a lot more about stuff and then quickly runs off.

Bora asks, amca, should I pour you some tea? Do you take it light or do you prefer strong? Ali just stares at him. Bora asks again, even louder. No response. Bora gets up and says, I’ll be back.

Guven tries to explain to Harun how wonderful Paris is. He can’t quite put it into words. But he thinks since Harun is an actor he will figure it out. Guven also gives other last minute tips on how to play it. Are you nervous he asks Harun. Of course not, Harun replies, I perfectly remember what you told me. Don’t worry. I can improvise in case something happens.

Dudu and Sedat arrive. Guven asks Dudu if she’d like to join them for coffee. She’d rather get to work. Before she goes, he introduces her to Mavi’s father. Sedat is taken aback. Guven continues, you don’t have any idea how many years he has been longing to see his daughter. He’s finally going to meet her this morning.

Dudu is sorry to hear the story. She asks, you haven’t met? Unfortunately, no, Harun replies, it’s a shame. She was looking for me but I didn’t have enough courage to see her. I hope she finds the strength to forgive me. Mavi is a good-hearted person, Dudu explains, she recognizes true pain. I’m sure she will see the regret in your look. At least I can see it. Dudu leaves.

Sedat compliments Harun on his performance. He tells Harun, now can you see it? Mavi’s weakness is her kind heart. She will have compassion for you. The more you move her, we can control her. Do you understand? They tell Harun to make sure to be on time for the meeting because Mavi is punctual. Harun understands and goes.

Guven asks Sedat, do you think he can convince her? Sedat nods. Mavi will make his task easier. Guven smiles. Sedat says, she should be very excited. Besides, now she is very susceptible.

Casilda discovers Lucía's past and shows it to her godmother, but Alejandra defends Lucía.

Thanks Urban for posting this summary! It really helps me especially as I am still trying to learn all the names!!! There is so much happening in this but I am enjoying it so far. Right now, I am having a hard time seeing the leads for the leads in this show and not the characters they played in Nos Dejan and Desmalada but I'll get there!

So Alejandra's goddaughter is Casilda? I was wondering what her name was. She seems like an interesting character.

I'll keep tuning in here and there to see what I can see although too many storylines and characters to watch on a consistent bassis. But I now see that this would be fun if you understand more Spanish than I.

I too hope she changes her mind and I find it a little disturbing that she told Sancar if he didn’t sign it would ruin their marriage and be HIS fault! It discounts his feelings entirely and suggests only hers are important, but I agree with Fev, it’s trauma talking. She needs some help.

I was heartbroken for San . Mavi has been through so much trauma . Often when you lose a chikd, you want to have another child as soon as possible . However, Sedat has terrorized Mavi and distorted her view of herself. Through it all , I watch beautiful Melek , and my heart hurts for her . It's almost too painful for me to watch as it was when I first started watching season one and almost gave up on it because I couldn't stand seeing Melek pulled around and suffering. Writers... Please give her a happy family .

The honeymooners are cute.

Halise stooping to eat her soup with the help. She cut off her nose to spite her face as my mother used to advise me not to do.

Liz, yes, creepy crazy Sedat seemed to perk up when he met Dudu. I wonder what was going through that warped brain ....maybe I don't want to know. Now that Dudu will be around Sedat and Guven will she be on the side of good or evil ? With dumb Du , who knows .She usually is only interested in herself and what she wants.
 

Mexicana. Whoa! Katya is really getting out of control--now she's a shoplifter. I'm glad Rocio persisted and helped Marcia and Helena to bond. They are both very nice women. And I very much enjoyed the confrontation between Helena and Luis! What a nut job he is, though a canny one when he made it look as if Gonzalo slugged him without provocation and once more gained Tyler's sympathy. Tyler is just a bit too kind at times.

Susanlynn, the honeymooners are cute, but, Zehra gets more and more on my nerves as we go on. She ignored Sancar’s advice and almost tanked the company. What purpose does she serve other than to be the object of Kavruk’s sweet affections? Yeah, it’s good she broke away from her mother, but will she be the wife Kavruk deserves? IMHO, the actress is the worst on the show, too. Maybe that’s what bothers me.

Mujer de Nadie, Capítulo 6, Martes, July 5, 2022 - Parte 1/6

On Friday's episode, Fer was abducted, but now we see him on a street, so at least he's not kidnapped anymore! (He's right outside a house, the house that Lucía is temporarily living in.) He calls Lucía, which is unnecessary, since she's right there. They look at each other and smile. Alfredo is watching this and doesn't look too happy.

Fer asks her if they can have a drink and talk but Lucía says that she's waiting for her boyfriend to come. Fer asks her if she's alright and she tells him that her dad passed away. Fer is sorry and tells her that she has his phone number if she needs anything. Lucía thanks him for everything he did. Fer leaves and Lucía starts walking and sees Alfredo. He starts acting jealous (shut your mouth, Alfredo! You don't have the right to be jealous!) and Lucía tells him that Fer is the one that freed her. They go to talk.

They don't show us this, but Lucía tells him the whole story and how she ended up in Alejandra's, an aunt she didn't know existed. Alfredo starts talking about FERNANDO again! He's acting all jealous and Lucía gets upset because he's not listening to her. Apparently, Alfredo believes that Fer will want "favors" for what he did afterwards. Lucía doesn't believe this and tells him that they're talking about the death of her father and the whole story of what happened and he's only thinking of FERNANDO?

Roxana goes to Fer's house and kisses him. Turns out the debt for Marta's house was paid off. He also tells her about Lucía and Roxana says that if herself or Fer fall in love with someone else they have to tell each other (???). (Oh no, not stupid "rules"! This and the "let's talk about our relationship" thing are the most annoying things ever.) Fer says that if that had happened, they would break up. Roxana says that she can love someone else and still be with him(???). Fer can't.

Alfredo tells Lucía to live with him. She says no and he reminds her of her dad's last wish(???) (Must have been on the last episode - Monday's, if anyone knows please add it.) Lucía says she's tired and it's better if they talk another time. She goes to leave and Alfredo gets up, but Lucía tells him she'll walk.
 

Mujer de Nadie, Capítulo 6, Martes, July 5, 2022 - Parte 2/6

Paulina and Carlos are walking. Carlos asks her if they'll ever be a real couple and Paulina says no. A random guy comes up behind them, says something and Carlos hits him. The guy gets a gun out and the cops come. Two officers get out of the car and arrest both Carlos and the other dude. Everybody is screaming at everyone.

Lucía is inside of Alejandra's house. Lucía tells her that she fought with her boyfriend and Alejandra says that time heals all wounds. Lucía doesn't think so; she'll never forget what Heri did.

Alejandra asks her to tell her exactly what he did and Lucía tells the story. Alejandra asks her why didn't Alfredo come (Alfredo had told Lucía to meet him somewhere, but Heri was there instead and Alfredo never came) and what about the photos? Lucía says that Heri said it was Alfredo, but Isaura said it was not, so it's not him (little did you know...) My subtitles didn't catch anything after that part (lol I'm using YouTube's auto translation, it's so bad), but I think that Alejandra told her that time will heal everything again and that at the end only a scar remains. Lucía asked her something and Alejandra responded, but my subtitles were drunk again and didn't show anything accurate.

Alfredo goes to see Michelle and they kiss an annoying amount.

Isaura went to see Lucía, who's crying. She tells her how it went with Alfredo and that the only thing he does is be jealous of Fer. Isaura asks "Fernando who?" and Lucía tells her it's the man who saved her and says that he cares for her more than her boyfriend. (Please girl, BREAK UP.) Isaura says something about her dad's wish and Lucía says that she respects her dad, but if she doesn't want to be with Alfredo, she'll break up with him. (What was Jacobo's last wish?) Fer texts Lucía and Isaura asks her who it is. Lucía tells her she's not a girl anymore and wants to be left alone. She listens to the voice message Fer send her. He basically says that he hopes her problems go away and that she can call him if she needs to. She smiles.

Michelle and Alfredo are kissing AGAIN, when Alfredo says that they have to talk. Michelle doesn't want to talk now and they continue kissing. Alfredo asks her about her brother (this guy needs a few slaps to the face) and Michelle says something like "we're going to talk about my brother now?" They're kissing again.
 

Mujer de Nadie, Capítulo 6, Martes, July 5, 2022 - Parte 3/6

Alfredo tells her that Fer is weird and Michelle is like "I don't care if he's weird!" XD Alfredo tells her that he saw Fer with a woman (that just so happens to be your girlfriend, Al) to the center. He wants to know about Fer's whole life! Michelle isn't very happy about this. He pretends to want to protect Fer(!!!) and by protecting Fer he'll also protect her and her family, which is also his family (🤮). She seems convinced and they kiss for like the 153rd time already!

Alejandra is with someone and is talking about her niece. She says that she's been through awful things and she needs someone to protect and love her (why is it implied in almost every telenovela that women need someone to protect them? They can protect themselves!) and that now she's with a jerk. The man asks for Alfredo's name and Alejandra tells him.

The guy goes somewhere and a woman approaches Alejandra and says something about their favourite client(?), which, by the way, is Rafael. (I think I know what kind of "business" they're in... That one place where every man but the male protagonist goes at least once... Yeah, you know what I mean.) Apparently, Alejandra OWNS this place! Rafael talks to the woman who was talking with Alejandra before, I think he said she's just like an old wine that lost it's flavor and color. Rafael shows some of his work partners two girls, Silvia and Claudia. One of the men he shows them to is Juventino and Alejandra calls out his name. He follows her.

Lucía sends Fer a message thanking him for everything he did. Fer listens to this and smiles. After the voice message ends, Paulina calls him and he answers. We don't hear her, but she must be talking about the double arrest that happened earlier this episode. Fer asks where she is and tells her he's coming.

Alejandra wants to talk about Juventino's cuñado, Heri. She wants to know what happened to the girl in the news (Lucía). He asks her why is she interested, did she come here to ask for a job?(!!!) Nope, she says, she's my sobrina. Alejandra wants to know the whole truth, who was the person who Heri paid to take the photos which were uploaded to the internet? Juventino at first pretends not to know, but Alejandra tells him that he won the municipal presidency of San Jacinto thanks to her and she can take it from him as well.
 

Mujer de Nadie, Capítulo 6, Martes, July 5, 2022 - Parte 4/6

Fer is with Paulina and Diego. Diego found out about Paulina driving the truck and everything and blames her for the arrests. Fer thinks it's his fault for not reporting the people who kidnapped him (so that guy who the cops arrested was one of the people who abducted Fer...)

Diego is being awful to his sister and Fer tells him to stop; she went through a difficult situation and wants support. Diego tells Fer to first take care of his family and then tell him what to do with his and is angry at Carlos for not telling him about the whole thing. Paulina is crying and Fer says that she can count on him for anything she needs. She doesn't have to go to work today, she should rest. Fer leaves. Paulina apologizes to her brother. Diego asks her if that guy touched her and she responds no. Diego is screaming as Paulina tries to go to another room.

A woman in Alejandra's house comes into Lucía's room, who gets scared. The woman thinks it's her face (I don't see anything wrong with it, other than the fact that she has a bigger forehead than most, but that's not enough to scare someone) but Lucía tells her that it's not that. It's her first day here after all this weird stuff and she saw a dream about her dad. The woman says "he passed away recently, right?" and asks about Lucía's mom. Lucía says that her mom died when she was a kid. We learn that the woman's mother abandoned her. She was her godmother's servant and her godmother (Alejandra) raised her like she was her own daughter.

She then tells Lucía that she's very pretty and that many men must have fallen for her. She says that she, on the other hand, will stay forever single. Lucía tells her she's a pretty girl, the other one doesn't believe her and asks her how it's like to have a boyfriend. Lucía says the classic "butterflies in the stomach" thing and things like "you always think of the other person" e.t.c. The other says that she must have fallen in love many times, but Lucía says only once and that love can hurt and you regret falling in love. The other woman REALLY wants to have a boyfriend, because she said she wouldn't mind crying all the tears in the world if it were because someone was in love with her. Alejandra calls out her name (Casilda or something like that) and she leaves immediately.
 

Mujer de Nadie, Capítulo 6, Martes, July 5, 2022 - Parte 5/6

Alejandra tells Casilda to not mention the club at all in front of Lucía, because she doesn't know anything about it. Casilda asks her something about Lucía (why did you hide her or something like that) and then adds "because she's prettier than you?"

Anyway, Lucía and Isaura come for breakfast. Isaura says something about the bed being hard and Alejandra is like "well, at least it's not a park bench!" XD She tells Lucía that her life will change completely; she's a Madrigal (lol Encanto vibes) and she has to put away the job her father imposed on her. She also tells her to break up with Alfredo. Casilda repeats what Lucía told her "love hurts and sometimes you regret falling in love" and says that Lucía said it previously. Lucía thanks Alejandra for letting them stay there, but she won't stop her work nor break up with Alfredo. She says living here is not going to work, gets up and leaves. Isaura runs behind her.

Isaura doesn't want to leave, but Lucía tells her that nothing is ruined because they can work and rent a small apartment. Isaura asks her "why should we go work to find a place to live when we can live in this mansion for free?" Lucía asks her to help her find a apartment and leaves.

Lucía searches for work but everybody doesn't hire her because they've seen the damn photos on the internet and the last guy is even worse, he's being inappropriate so Lucía gets up and leaves.

Small warning: I had to go to DailyMotion for the rest of the episode, so I didn't even have these awful YouTube subtitles.

They show us the girls from earlier, Silvia and Claudia. The brunette one (I'll call her Claudia, she looks like a Claudia) either isn't really sure about it or doesn't really want to continue her job. The blond one (since I call the brunette Claudia, I'll call this one Silvia) says that if people ask her, just tell them that she works, she doesn't have to tell them WHERE she works (great advice, Silvia. Like that's going to solve all her problems now.) Silvia says that she'll see her this evening. She leaves Claudia and her problems and goes to see Michelle. Michelle comments on Silvia's bracelet or whatever it is and Silvia says that a "friend" gave it to her. They start talking about Michelle's novio and walk out of sight.

Paulina is on her bed, crying. Diego tells her to stop (crying). She doesn't though and places an icepack on her forehead (when did she hit her head?)

Isaura is on the phone with Alfredo and tells him that Alejandra told Lucía to break up and that Lucía talked about love that hurts e.t.c. From what I understood, she basically wants more money. Alejandra was listening to the end of the conversation (I'm not sure if she heard the money part) and asks Isaura where's Lucía. Isaura tells her that she left to look for a house. They talk a bit more and Alejandra says (clearly refering to Isaura) that she doesn't like people that are parasites and Isaura seems to agree (poor her, she doesn't like herself). Alejandra tells her to get a job or she'll end up on the streets and leaves. Isaura looks annoyed!!!

Fer comes into Diego's office. He tells him that he can't control his sister's life and Diego gets upset and says that Fer isn't perfect too. Fer agrees, the situation with his mom and his siblings... Diego stops him and asks him what he wants. Fer asks something about the company and Diego responds (he definitely said something about clients and money). I assume it's not going that well because he looks even angrier than before, if possible. A woman comes into his office and tells him that someone's waiting for him in his office.

Fer goes and a lawyer gives him an envelope about his mom's house. Fer was expecting this and looks pleased. The lawyer wants to talk to Lucía about some papers and Fer says that he knows her, she's a good friend of his. The lawyer looks surprised. Fer goes to call Lucía.

Lucía picks it up. Fer asks her how was her first day in Puebla (the place wjere Alejandra lives) and she says "weird". She's sad because of everything that has happened. Fer tells her about the lawyer and Lucía sounds like she was expecting that. Fer asks her where she is so he can come and show her where to meet the lawyer. He closes the phone.

Lucía walks and imagines Heri standing there and trying to come close to her. She turns around and sees Alfredo, who greets her and is a bit confused because Lucía seems scared. He asks her if she's waiting for anyone and Lucía says that she's waiting for Fer so they can go to the lawyer.

As they speak, a taxi drives by and Michelle's in it. She sees them and tells the taxi to stop there.

And we have the Fin del Capítulo.

Dondi, I agree about Zehra. The writers have not given her much to do this season , and the first two seasons , she was mostly pining for Kav as she was pressed flat under her mother's thumb and babysitting Melek while everyone else was dealing with trouble and tragedy. Oh well, Kav looks happy.

Rocío and Helena, too, "Metiche su abuela!"

I was quite surprised by Andrea's reaction to René's "cheating" on her. I honestly didn't think they had that sort of relationship even though they seem to have a long history. I thought it was much more casual and that she was largely using him, as she does with a lot of people. But we will see. With Andrea I don't think we can take anything at face value.

Diana, this is, so far, a great comedy, and you seem to understand more about what happens in telenovelas with or without Spanish. (I have looked at some of your recaps :)

Do look in once in a while, but none of us can watch everything. I'm restricting myself to one novela at a time after Friday and the finale of MFEA. Meh, again.

I am watching mostly Turkish dizis now which all feature galans with thick, glorious hair. ...sometimes long or so long it is ponytailed ...sometimes horses....occasionally swords and bows and arrows. I will try out the new ranch novela Herencia starring Michelle R. With blonde hair . Mi Amiga Diana is waiting for this one. I noticed in the previews that Michelle fell off her horse and the galan did not punch her in the face which seems like a hopeful sign , the bar being set very low lately (Looking right at you, Ron.) . Also, Cesar from Desalmada is in it wearing his trademark sulky face and a new hat. Giddyup. ....

Alfredo's jealousy is beyond ridiculous not only because of his own cheating but also because with everything Lucia is going through how could he possibility be thinking that she would be thinking about romance??? It's crazy, insensitive and cruelly neglectful. I can't wait til Lucia kicks him to the curb!!

Yes, Itati is a superb actress. She began her career as a villain and was exceptionally good as one. Her villains were never cardboard cutouts. Somehow, in spite of the dialogue and the storylines, she made them human. I think that's the main reason she made the relatively rare transition from villain to heroine.

Embajador S3 #41 part 1

Starting with a cut. Mavi exits her front door and Necdet scrambles to stop her. She tells him she’s taking a taxi today. No way, he replies, Sancar Efe will be very angry with me. I won’t tell if you don’t tell, she says, we will keep it between us, okay? Necdet gulps. Mavi puts him in charge and takes off.

Bora serves Ali Amca his tea. Elvan comes running into the café all out of breath, with a paper. Bora asks her to step aside to talk. Elvan says no need, Ali is deaf. Bora begins, Elvan I want to leave this place. Elvan’s face drops. But if the contract was extended, you’d stay, she replies. Well, I didn’t exactly say that, Bora clarifies. I know very well what you wanted to say, she answers, but I keep trying. I wanted to until the last, and I don’t regret it.

Don’t be dramatic, Bora says. No, I’m not dramatizing, Elvan replies, but I want a baby and you don’t. It’s simple. It won’t work, I know. Then what are you thinking to do, he asks, will you go back to Yahya? She just stares at Bora. Then she tells Ali it’s time to go. I want to finish my tea, Ali says, Bora just brought it and it’s delicious. So, he can hear, Bora says. Elvan looks very sad.

A troublesome cut. Dudu at an outdoor café with Ela. She’s very animated in recounting her breakfast meeting with Sedat. The time flew by so fast, she says, he spoke about so many different things. He is very smart and cultured. Ela is quietly listening.

Why are you looking at me this way, Dudu asks? He impressed you very much, Ela says with a smile, I’m watching you. It’s not what you think, Dudu replies, I only saw him a couple of times, what could it be? I just missed being treated like a princess. Sedat Bey is a true gentleman. Well, of course, after Yahya, I guess it’s good, and Ela asks, is he handsome?

Dudu starts gushing again. He’s handsome, charismatic, and intellectual. Yahya is also certainly good, but, I would say that he and Sedat are in different leagues. The ladies laugh. Telling you to change tactics, I had no idea this would happen, Ela says. But I’m happy for you. You deserve it. It’s nothing like that, Dudu replies, we’re just having a good time. But something tells me that Sedat and I will see each other again.

Harun is waiting for Mavi at a restaurant. He gets a text from Sedat, did she arrive yet? Not yet, I’m still waiting. Harun gets a message that Mavi is on her way. Someone approaches Harun’s table but it’s not Mavi. It’s Sancar, who promptly sits at the table and smiles at Harun. Do we know each other, Harun asks? Excuse me, Sancar answers, I didn’t introduce myself. I’m Sancar Efeoglu, Mavi’s husband. I am your family. You were supposed to meet Mavi, right?

Harun nods, that’s right, but where is she? I thought she was on her way. [I hate to think where Mavi went.] Sancar explains that Mavi had an emergency, so he came in her place. Is that a problem? No, Harun answers. Can we talk, Sancar asks, where have you been all these years?

Before Harun answers, we get a flashback to TV night at the beach house. Mavi puts Melek to bed. Sancar goes to grab the remote but sees the message on Mavi’s phone and reads it. Sancar quickly answers it, then erases everything. And of course, he says nothing to Mavi. End flash.

Harun starts his act. I missed Mavi’s childhood, and I regret it. I couldn’t see my daughter grow up. Not just that, I couldn’t help her in her most difficult moments when she needed me most. If she gives me the opportunity, I’m going to repair the damage. Are you sure, Sancar asks? Yes, Harun replies.

 

Embajador S3 #41 part 2

Sancar laughs. Please, kaynata, you don’t regret. He leans in and says, I’ll show you what it is to regret. I don’t understand, Harun replies. Sancar stands, with his hands on the table, leaning over Harun. You’re coming with me. We are going to the people who sent you. I’m not going and you can’t make me, Harun responds. You should have thought about that before you became part of this fraud, Sancar tells him. They thought of everything but one detail. Come on, let’s go. They leave.

Mavi is in a doctor’s office. She stares at a poster of mothers and babies. The doctor asks, are you sure, Mavi Hanım? I’m sure, she answers. The doctor says let’s go to the operating room.

Guven and Sedat are anxiously waiting for word from Harun. Guven thinks he might still be with Mavi. We should have sent one of our men with him, he says. It would have been suspicious, Sedat replies. Harun enters and Sedat immediately questions, why haven’t you responded to messages? Tell us what happened? Harun sits but says nothing.

Sancar appears and says, that poor man won’t be able to speak. He forgot his lines, sorry. The looks on Guven and Sedat’s faces are priceless. Sancar continues, you messed with me, you messed with my daughter, but that wasn’t enough. You went for Mavi. No, Guven replies, the only one I’m interested in is you, Sancar. Sancar looks at Sedat and asks, what do you want? He shouts at Sedat, Mavi doesn’t love you! Accept it!

I know perfectly what Mavi needs, Sedat replies, but you are confusing her. You planned to influence Mavi with a fake father, Sancar asks? Even if you succeeded, I would have realized. I wouldn’t have allowed it. I don’t care what you think, Sedat says, I’m only interested in Mavi. Sancar warns, don’t you dare say my wife’s name again. How did you figure this out, Guven asks, did you find Mavi’s real father?

We get a flashback. Sancar is driving and he gets bad news from Faruk. Mavi’s dad died. So, they buried him, Sancar asks? Mavi thought he was still alive. Sancar says he doesn’t know how to tell her, she will be sad. End flash.

Sancar gives Guven the death stare. Guven covers his face with his hands. Sedat is pissed, he asks, does Mavi know? Sancar shouts and heads towards Sedat, I told you not to say her name! But Sancar wisely stops himself. He shouts again, this is the last warning, leave Mavi alone or you will regret it! Sancar turns to Harun and notes he looks nervous, he’s trembling. You have to polish your skills, he tells the actor to act natural. Sancar walks off with a winning smile.

Sedat shouts at the actor and calls him an idiot. Don’t blame me, the actor replies. [Turkish] You underestimated him. He came there on purpose! He already knew everything! The actor is pissed. You made me come all the way from Istanbul! You better give me the money you offered! Sedat can’t believe he asked for the money. Guven nods. Sedat blows up and Guven has to hold him back.

Sancar is feeling really pleased with himself when he gets in his truck. Doesn’t last long, though. He gets a call from Mavi. Come to me, I beg you, she says, I’m at the doctor. He replies, at the doctor? Okay, I’m on my way, he quietly says and hangs up. Please don’t do it, Mavi. Don’t do it. This is sad.

Poor Elvan is sitting on a bench in a park, processing this latest disaster. Yahya appears out of nowhere. She accuses him of stalking her. Don’t make me regret accepting that offer you made on the house! Don’t get angry, he replies, I found you with the app that we downloaded a long time ago. [remember that?!] Why didn’t you delete it, she asks? Normally I don’t even look at it, he says, but this time I had to use it.

Why did you want to see me, she asks? Don’t get scared, he replies, I came to tell you something. Listen, we don’t have much time to think. Elvan is alarmed. She jumps up, why the mystery? What happened? Is everyone ok? Yahya drops a bomb: Kahraman and Ceylan had an accident. They both died. Elvan is stunned. And the baby, she asks? Did the baby die, too? No, he says, the baby is fine.

Elvan drops back onto the bench. I’m so sorry about Ceylan, she says, she didn’t deserve to die. She barely enjoyed motherhood. And she just reconciled with Kahraman. What a tragedy. And now what will become of the poor baby? Yahya says, if you want, we can go for him. Yes, let’s go for the baby, while his relatives decide what to do with him, Elvan quickly responds, we can’t leave him alone. I can take care of him.

Yahya drops another bomb: Elvan, now you are his only family. They tried to find you but your phone number changed. That’s why they contacted me. Elvan doesn’t understand. I’m his only family, she asks? Kahraman was your brother, Elvan. [Many viewers suspected this when the old woman from the “club” came to the mansion.] Elvan is struck speechless.

I know, Yayha says, I’m also disconcerted, but first we have to think of the baby. If you want and accept, they will give you custody. Otherwise the state will take care of the boy. Think it over well. You have three days. Yahya assures her, whatever your decision, he will be with you. I’ll support you and if you accept, I want to be the father of the baby. I’ll be by your side. Wow. That’s a lot to process.

Guven transfers the money to the actor thinking it was the right thing to do. It was our mistake, he says. Look what happened, Sedat complains, you said you had good investigators working on this and look. Are we going to argue about this, Guven laughs, enough Sedat. Sedat doesn’t get why Guven seems so calm. Sancar won this time! Guven laughs again. I’ve got much more experience than you, he replies, I’m patient. He reminds Sedat, Sancar won’t always be around. He can’t protect her forever.

Halise shows up. Guven welcomes her and asks her to sit. He tells Sedat that Halise has brought good news. It’s about Mavi, she says. Sedat is impatient. Halise announces, Mavi is pregnant. [what was she thinking? Why did she do this?] Sedat starts laughing in denial. This can’t be true. He suddenly explodes, she can’t take my daughter away and then do this to me! I will not allow it! He’s got that psycho killer look.

Sancar arrives at the hospital. [Don’t you love how he always pulls up to the front and runs right into the hospital?] He goes to the front desk and asks for Mavi. The nurse shows him the way. She says they are waiting for him. Sancar looks afraid for what he will find. He opens the door.

Mavi is on the table getting an ultrasound. She looks up at Sancar. He asks, bitti mi? (is it over?) She doesn’t answer and it looks as if it could be. Sancar is pained. [Turkish] You ended this, he asks, he’s gone? Mavi gets emotional. She reaches out for Sancar’s hand. Sancar hears a baby’s heartbeat. He looks at the screen. There’s a baby. He looks at Mavi, this… She nods, this is our baby. This is his heartbeat.

Sancar sits next to Mavi and breaks into a big smile. My baby’s heart, he says. I was so scared when you called me, he tells her. Look at our baby… is this why you called me to come? She nods. Sancar is overjoyed, he’s got happy tears. He kisses Mavi’s hand. I am so grateful to you. It’s me who has to be grateful, she replies, you helped me build a family. I love you so much. I love you much more, he answers, you don’t know how much. This was the very happy end of Turkish ep 48.

 

Embajador S3 #41 part 4

A festive setting at the beach house. Mavi leads a blindfolded Melek outside. We have a surprise for you. I’m curious. Is it something to eat, Melek asks? Ah… not to eat, Sancar answers, but it’s very sweet. Mavi removes the blindfold. There’s a gift box in front of Melek. She looks at all the decorations. But it’s not my birthday, she says. Is it your birthday, Mavi? No, she replies, but something like that. Open the box.

Melek opens and takes out a pair of tiny yellow sneakers. But they won’t fit me, she says. Look at what else is in there, Mavi tells her. It’s a little baby shirt that says, “my older sister’s sibling” Will I have a brother or a sister, Melek asks, am I going to be an “abla”? That’s right. Melek runs to her dad and he lifts her into his arms. Melek is very excited. Thank you! She thanks Mavi. Sancar wants to thank Mavi, too. I lost out on Melek’s infancy, this is the greatest gift in my life. Mavi thanks Melek and Sancar. You brought me to life, she tells them. There’s lots of hugs and kisses.

Sedat is pacing back and forth. He’s going crazy. He shouts at his co-conspirators, this baby won’t be born!! You will prevent it!! Guven tries to calm him down. I am not going to be calm! This is over, Guven! This baby will not be born! And you Halise Efeoglu, you will end this at once! Halise stands up to Sedat. How dare you?! I got involved to take Mavi away from Sancar, not for this.

Guven tries to settle things down. He tells Halise, [Turkish] if Mavi gives birth, she will finally take Sancar’s hands. If Mavi decides to raise her child outside of this city, for example in Istanbul or abroad, do you expect Sancar to leave his child to stay with his mother? Halise fires back, you want to scare me with this? You’re telling me the child will be born and Mavi and Sancar will leave? [Turkish] I cannot commit a sin for just this reason!

Sedat is livid, I’ll take Mavi and get out of here! She has to be accountable for our daughter! Guven looks a little freaked out. Sedat continues to shout at Halise, I’m not going to permit Mavi to have another child and form a new family, never! Understand?! Sedat is shaking with anger. He gets in Halise’s face. Look Halise Hanım, my problem is with Mavi? For that reason, I dared to stab myself with a knife, instead of hurting your son. But your son became my enemy and I warn you because the next time, I’m going to stab him. I warn you he is going to suffer. Did you hear me? Guven steps in and gets him to back off.

Guven takes over. He calmly tells Halise, this is not a living person, it is just a fetus and that’s it. We have to take care of this as soon as possible. If we act this instant, it’s just a miscarriage. Halise looks horrified. Guven continues, and the psyche of Sancar and Mavi will not stand it. Their relationship isn’t strong enough to deal with this. Sedat and Mavi will leave this town and your wish will be granted.

The fetus you talk about carries my son’s blood, Halise says. I will never permit you to kill it. She turns to Sedat, and as for you… I advise you to leave Sancar alone. My son is an Efeoglu. He can’t be intimidated by you or Guven. I will protect my son if you try to hurt him. Halise grabs her bag and issues the final warning, I don’t want to see you near my family. She pushes past Sedat and walks.

 

Embajador S3 #41 part 5

Sedat has a surprise for Halise. He takes out his phone and plays a recording of their meeting on the night of Zehra’s wedding. [Gotcha, Halise!] If I send this recording to Sancar, he says, do you still think you will have a son to take care of? Sancar left with Mavi and all you have left is the mansion. If Sancar could hear this, he won’t want you near, he would throw you out of the mansion. Halise looks about to crumble. Sedat piles it on. You won’t be able to be with your granddaughter. Or with the child they are expecting.

I made a serious mistake, Halise tells Guven, I ought to know better than to trust you. Guven approaches Halise, I understand the reason you’re angry but, it isn’t something to exaggerate and dramatize. This is the best for us, you will understand. This isn’t very important. What is important is that it seems like a miscarriage. Something natural. So no one knows what happened. There are herbs and plans they use, but you would know better about this. Halise knows she’s screwed and hangs her head.

Sancar and Mavi set the table. Where is Melek, Mavi asks? She was here, Sancar replies. We hear Melek shouting in the distance, [Turkish] I will become an older sister! Let everyone hear! I will become an older sister! Sancar and Mavi go to see what’s happening. Melek is running up and down the beach, spreading the good news! I will have a brother or a sister! Mavi and Sancar watch her from the house. Sancar laughs and calls out, kızım, stop, stop! You’re raising a storm! All of Bodrum heard about it thanks to you! Let her enjoy it, Mavi says, she’s very happy.

That’s true, Sancar agrees. I want to shout to the winds that I am going to become a father one more time! [Turkish] I am the beloved slave of Allah. Praise be to the Almighty. What a wonderful feeling, Mavi adds, it’s nice to be at peace. Without uncertainty in the heart or mind. We deserve each other, Sancar. Life doesn’t give everyone a second chance, he replies, and we deserve it. They hug.

Sancar continues, from this moment and for Melek’s happiness, I would give my whole life. And when the time comes, I know we will hold our baby in our arms. I’m not going to ask for anything more. We hear Melek again, spreading the good news. She waves to her parents, they wave back. Sancar calls out, shout, daughter, shout! Let all of Kos hear! Let all of Yalıkavak hear! Let everyone hear! Shout! Melek makes it back to the porch and Mavi scoops her up.

Elvan is walking and talking to herself. I don’t understand, she says, I really don’t. How can Kahraman? This can’t be happening. Elvan heads to the lawyer’s office.

The lawyer starts by giving her a glass of water. I know it’s not easy to digest the situation, he says. But for the good of the boy, you ought to make your decision now. This must be a mistake, Elvan replies, how could Kahraman and I be siblings? I don’t understand. The lawyer explains, Kahraman’s father had Alzheimer’s. His mind was rambling. About a month ago, he mentioned the name of your mother. Nece Bulbul.

The lawyer continues, Kahraman had a son and when he had him, he wanted to leave here. He asked me to investigate this matter. According to the investigation, your mother died when you were very little. And the woman who lived next door gave you to the family that raised you. Incredible, Elvan sniffles.

Kahraman Bey was very enthusiastic and happy when he knew his sister was finally found. He was happy to find the sister he had been looking for all these years. It made him glad to know that his sister was you. I think he was going to talk to with you he unfortunately had the accident probably due to the emotion. Elvan puts her hand up and starts sobbing. She asks for more water.

 

Embajador S3 #41 part 6

You are the only family the baby has left, the lawyer says. His grandfather, Elvan asks? He died a short while ago. Avukat Bey, so you are telling me, your mother was Nece Bulbul and your father was Boz Amca. But they both died. I also had a brother and I spent my whole life without knowing my brother was him. And when I found out, he already died. I never looked for my family, do you know? I thought they abandoned me, so why look. But now… all I’m left with is three gravestones. Elvan cries.

I can’t imagine what you feel, the lawyer says. But you found out you have a little nephew. A baby that needs you. A beautiful boy. Elvan composes herself and asks, how much time do I have? Not much, the lawyer answers, if you don’t accept custody, the baby will be sent to social services. You can change your mind later, but the procedure will take longer and be more complicated.

Yahya has been waiting for Elvan outside. Elvan comes out. She prays, Allah, give me strength. Allah, show me the way. Yahya asks what happened. What did the lawyer say? She replies, don’t ask me anything right now, okay? I’m not feeling well, and I don’t know what to do. I’m not trying to upset you, he says, but Social Services called to say if you were here, they would bring the baby. What will you do?

I told you to leave me alone, she snaps at Yahya, didn’t I explain myself? Yahya says, the Lord does not give burdens that you cannot bear. You should consider things. You think I don’t know, Elvan replies, all the nights I cried, always praying to have a baby. I wanted a baby but now I have a weight on my soul. How do you want me to solve something like this so quickly? This is very complicated. I know it’s not easy, Yahya tells her, but I also know that the Lord will give you strength to do it.

Elvan sighs and thanks Yahya for coming. I have to go. I can take you, he says. Thanks, I’ll walk, she replies. Elvan turns to him and tells him to keep this a secret for now. Don’t tell anyone else. He agrees.

And we are out.

I, too, believe that the misogyny we see in shows is mostly because of the real-world stuff. The laws that exist in every country are at best nerve-wracking. I hope things get better in the future and we start to live in the 21st century.

Hmmm, Tyler speaks Spanish with an accent, and speaks English with an accent. He must be Canadian   :-)

I find it a little annoying that Sebastián doesn't want to understand that Diego can like Katya as a person, as a friend, without being romantically interested. He has been a little too accusatory all along, and a little too insecure.

OTOH, I love doña Maty, our hot to trot octogenarian who got all excited when René gave Zulema a whack on the behind. Pasión! she says, that's what it's all about. Chabela was not having it though. These two are funny together.

Ah, I didn't know that Gladys was a compulsive buyer, but we did see her buying more clothes before. I don't know why she is single, she is extremely cute, and that walk of hers alone should bring her suitors. No doubt it's unsuitable for climbing the corporate ladder, etc., but definitely guy bait. A really endearing, though problematic, character.

Katya is such a drama queen! I remember, vaguely, that that is a crazy age, with hormones raging and love often disappointing, but get over it. I think we should bring back galley slaves and let kids of a certain age sweat it out rowing 15 hours a day and whipped if they don't keep up. After a very few years things will settle down and they will be in really, really great physical shape. Win, win!

It should be very interesting to see how Andrea reacts to Diego's news and what she can do now for Katya.

Wow, in one episode the writers killed off literally Kman and Ceylan and figuratively Bora!! I wasn't expecting that! It was so abrupt!! And then Mavi went from thinking about abortion to celebrating new life in like 4 mins!! What a dramatic episode!!

Is Bora really done? Just like that? I kind of wanted to see Elvan and Yaya reconcile throughout most of season 2 but I changed my mind when we learned he always knew Elvan wasn't sterile! And now what? She can have a baby but she still won't? She'll reconcile with Yaya and raise her nephew?? That is a major bait and switch storyline!! And not even a chance of a bead breaking return scene for Kman???

This episode makes me sad....

And then you have Halise who as bad as the recording sounds, hasn't actually DONE anything yet but she now believes she has to do something horrible so that no one finds out she thought about doing something less awful? She is stupid enough to fall in that trap! She should have been the one to die in an accident!

Dondi..oh my, since I understand very few words I had no idea about Ya telling Elvan that Kar and Ceylan had died in a car crash ( weird..remember kar's tormenting Muge because of the accident she had when his wife died). And ...she and Kar are siblings! , so she can adopt baby Gediz. Until you mentioned it, I had forgotten about the woman who came to the mansion . Why did she show up at the mansion ? I wonder where the old writers planned to take that storyline. So was Bora just a red herring and Ya, Elvan, and Gediz will move into the mansion and give Halide her HEA....until Ya reverts to his old Ya wishywashy wandering ways. Can tigers change their stripes ? I think the writers pulled a fast one.

The new writers seem to have killed off most of the extraneous folks from seasons one and two. They are wrapping up loose ends.

Well, I guess we knew that Mavi was going to keep the baby , and Melek is so happy and deserves happiness.

It finally looks like Guven and Talked realize that Sedat is not playing with a full deck and they have a tiger by the tail now. Their faces showed exactly what they were both thinking...."Yikes, this guy is nuts....not what I signed up for...I saw only signed up for extra evil helping me get what I wanted ."

P.s. What happened to the father of Du's baby ? Did be evaporate like so many have ?

Capitulo 7 Part 1/6

We return to Lucia freaking out on the street imaging Heriberto but then she turns around to another nightmare. Not-so-Prince Charming Alfredo, who is still stuck on his jealousy of Fernando. This dude is clueless with a capital C and the last thing Lucia needs right now is his possessive streak. He tries to tell her she is his whole life but she rightfully tells him what he is talking about isn’t love and no one owns Lucia’s life – not Alfredo, not anybody. She walks away.

Alfredo’s other woman Michele has arrived in a taxi in time to see him on the street with Lucia. She demands to know who the other woman is but he gives her some line about Lucia just being some pushy vendor on the street, she doesn’t quite believe him but he sweet talks her and returns her to her cab and her business.

Lucia gets a call from Fernando and she tells him she walked further down the street (to get away from Alfredo) and she gives him her new location. He is coming to meet her and is concerned she doesn’t sound good.

Alfie (I like that) is calling Lucia but she doesn’t answer. He rather pointless begs her voicemail to answer his call (too late buddy). He apologizes for his jealous lunacy and swears he loves her…. then apparently just realizing that she can’t answer after the call has already gone to voicemail, he hangs up in time to get another call. It’s an unknown caller talking about someone being shot (??) Alfie is exasperated; can’t anyone do anything right? He’s on his way!

Alejandra is in her home talking to Pilar and saying she was worried about her because she didn’t she her much the night before. Pilar was hiding her face because she was embarrassed (because Mr. Big Shot rejected her saying they no longer have chemistry) and Ale suggests she go shopping, retail therapy will cheer her up! This is a good idea, but she isn’t leaving until she meets Lucia! Both women smile big at this possibility but Ale’s joy is dimmed by knowing Lucia is upset with her. Ale feigns innocence saying she only wanted to tell Lucia what is best for her but her friend warns her she needs to pump the breaks. She is obsessed with being in control and she’s only known Lucia for five minutes! She needs to give the relationship time and get to know her. Ale says Lucia is in ingrate, but her friend says Lucia isn’t Casilda and Ale needs to change her tactics. Casilda herself has arrived unseen on the scene and she doesn’t look happy to hear that Lucia is nothing like her because Lucia is independent and free with a strong spirit and is very beautiful.

Lucia meets with Fernando and the lawyer. She gets copies of the legal documents and the lawyer encourages her to keep them close, just in case. She doesn’t have any legal issues pending but he doesn’t trust Heriberto and who knows what he will try, especially if she continues to be a thorn in his side siding with the people and trying to support their own little market. Lucia says this is her dream and Fernando is starting to understand where she was coming from in defending the artisans.

Left alone, Lucia and Fernando are saying a nervous awkward goodbye. He offers to walk her but Lucia says no – Alfredo has clearly gotten into her head. She politely declines, she’s very grateful to him but it’s not a good idea. Fernando says he probably shouldn’t say this but he wants to look after her, to protect her. Lucia says she probably shouldn’t say this either, but sometimes she feels like someone sent Fernando to look after her. Fernando smiles and she returns it but quickly goes to leave. Fernando asks her to stop and asks why she is sad but she doesn’t answer. They exchange a long lingering look instead.

Capitulo 7 Part 2/6

Michele went to see Paulina, who is commenting on her face (we still don’t know how that happened). Paulina is annoyed with Michele’s questions but Michelle insists she is only asking because she is worried about her friend. Paulina is apparently worried that she looks ugly? (So many young women preoccupied with their looks in this) Next Michelle asks if Paulina knows anything about the woman Fernando saved but this question bugs Paulina too…. because she is jealous of Lucia!

Fernando and Lucia are still talking and he says she may not trust him yet but she should let things out, she’ll feel better, lighter. Fernando thinks he might understand something about how she feels losing her father. Lucia says sometimes she just wants to be in a place where she will hear absolutely nothing, somewhere with pure silence (there’s ironically lots of street noise right then) because that’s when she could hear the voice of her dad. His advice. She misses him. Fernando looks moved and thanks her for sharing. He promises to always to there for her if she needs to talk. Lucia says thank you and then gets up, time to leave. Fernando repeats call me anytime and Lucia says thank you again. She starts to walk away but turns but to wave. Fernando looks well and smitten.

I guess Paulina doesn’t like hearing Fernando talk about Lucia with so much passion. Michele wonders if Fernando is in love with Lucia but Paulina concludes Lucia isn’t to blame for how Fernando does or doesn’t feel. She tells Michele how Lucia has suffered a lot. She tells her about the attempted rape and the photos on the internet. Michele agrees that is horrible, but is Paulina sure Lucia didn’t know about the photos? Lots of woman do that sort of thing willingly, you know? Paulina doesn’t think so, she believes Lucia is a victim. She tells Michele that Fernando is working to get the photos taken down and Michele is impressed her brother would do all that for this woman. Paulina agrees but she’s worried too because Diego says that there are some powerful people opposing Lucia and it could bring danger to Fernando.

Lucia is back at Casa de Alejandra and Ale’s footman/assistant/object of her goddaughter’s affection spots her and calls out. She seems uncomfortable around him while he’s trying to make sure she’s okay. Isa runs in to greet her and complain about how hard it is to find an apartment and how expensive everything is! Mr. Johnny on the Spot (I like it and I don’t know his name) offers to help. He didn’t know they were looking for a place to live but he is Ale’s administrator and she has buildings and apartments and knows all the people, he’d be happy to assist! (LOL this guy has a crush) Isa is half flirting/half admonishing insinuating that Johnny was suggesting they live with him (I don’t think he was), they are decent women don’t you know, not the type to just live with anyone! Johnny sort of awkwardly smiles and Lucia says ‘Isa’ the way you would say ‘stop it!’ and zero’s in on the important part: Is Johnny saying Ale rents apartments??? Isa can’t believe they are so stupid to be looking for an apartment when Ale can give them one for free! She drags poor Johnny off telling him he’s hungry and he should buy her breakfast (This was hilarious) Johnny seems confused but he doesn’t protest.

Roxanna is talking with her husband saying his clients like the tequila more than the business deal. He says that she knows how strangers are, they all like the Mexican party. He tries to get friendly but is rebuffed. He wonders if she’s still mad and she insinuates he put her in an uncomfortable spot during the party, he assures her she is his treasure and that he’s made sure if anything goes wrong it will be Juventino who takes the fall. She wants to know if he’s sure and he says yes. He kisses her and tells her as long as she is a supportive and loyal wife nothing will ever happen to her! (UH OH)

Capitulo 7 Part 3/6

Pilar finally gets to meet Lucia and she’s thrilled. Lucia was upset when Pilar entered (she has enough reasons to be upset for sure) but she tries to smile politely. Pilar tells her that she’s known her aunt since they were young and beautiful like Lucia and Lucia says nice to meet you and you’re still beautiful. Pilar likes Lucia immediately and tells her to come join them and she does. Pilar says that Ale is very happy to have Lucia in her house and Ale says Lucia doesn’t think the same, she thinks she is too controlling. Pilar tells Lucia they think alike (LOL) but Lucia claims she never meant to call Ale controlling…Ale interrupts and says she said what she meant and Ale is sorry, it wasn’t her intention. She plays the contrite aunt card perfectly and Lucia tells her she understands it’s her house and her rules and she respects that. But she needs her freedom and she needs to be able to make her own choices. Ale agrees and I had a hard time following but I think she said she won’t object especially if Lucia moves somewhere very close to her. Lucia laughs and the two embrace.

Lucia tells Ale that Leonardo (yes, I learned his name but I like Johnny on the Spot) told her he was the administrator of her houses, she wants to know if she can rent one. Ale agrees although she has to be honest, she would much prefer it if Lucia stayed there in the same house with her. Pilar also encourages her to stay. She is the only family Ale has, they should take the opportunity to live together, get to know each other, learn to love each other. Lucia says of course, you’re my aunt. I want to know you, but I don’t see anything wrong with us each having our own space. I can come visit as much as you want! Ale agrees. Lucia says thank you and asks to give her a kiss! She kisses her aunt.

Fernando comes home to his good for nothing brother taking pictures of something (….what’s his name, Carlos, right? Fernando tells him the police called and they found his truck dismantled with no merchandise? (I think…) Carlos thinks this settles the issue but Fernando wants to ask pesky questions like why didn’t you tell me sooner if you suspected you were being followed? Carlos didn’t want to worry his brother or get scolded but he says it isn’t his fault. This happened because big brother got involved with criminals. Fernando is quick to correct. The criminals came to him but he turned them down! Carlos still feels like he didn’t need to call big bro – he can defend himself. Fernando thinks Carlos would have been in big trouble if the police hadn’t have shown up. He mentioned Paulina could have been hurt too, but Carlos says over his dead body! He loves her and he will protect her even if she loves someone else…. Fernando asks who that is but Carlos says he has no idea, some Yoga Instructor or something. Fernando nods and runs out.

Pilar decides to take Ale’s advice and go out shopping! Lucia tells her to enjoy the beautiful day and that gives Pilar the idea to ask Lucia to join her, it’ll be fun! Lucia demurs, another day. She needs to go look for a job. Ale tries to encourage Lucia to go with Pilar, the job search can wait. Casilda comes down the stairs talking about heading to the club and Ale quickly covers telling her to stop referring to her prayer circle as a club! (LOL) She quickly agrees and apologizes ready to leave quickly but Lucia suggests that the poor girl accompany her and Pilar shopping instead. Pilar agrees it’s a great idea and asks for Ale’s approval. Ale tells them all to go and Lucia smiles and thanks her aunt as the ladies rush out.

Ale doesn’t look pleased and she texts someone: ‘I’m waiting for an answer!’

Capitulo 7 Part 4/6

The girls are shopping and Lucia asks Pilar where she works. There’s an awkward pause and then Casilda starts talking a lot about paintings and clothing and manages to distract the conversation as the ladies move on to trying on clothes. Lucia finds a dress she really likes and starts to dream about finding a shop. Pilar has a friend who deals with stuff like that, she could check and see if he has something nearby. Lucia is pleased and asks her to please ask. Pilar buys the two girls matching dresses but it doesn’t flatter Casilda quite as much as Lucia. A gentleman arrives, Gabino, he wants to know if Lucia works at the club with the girls? But no, no Lucia doesn’t work with the prayer circle, she’s Ale’s niece! Gabino catches on quickly and changes the subject telling Lucia he is Pilar’s novio and they are going to get married. Pilar doesn’t look thrilled. Gabino tries to suggest lunch so they can discuss the wedding plans and Pilar tries to get out of it but Lucia intervenes; how can they possibly say no to her fiancé? Let’s go!

Alfredo has arrived in Heriberto’s lair and he’s aghast at Alfie’s nerve but the tables quickly turn when Alfredo shows Heri the video he has of him attempting to rape Lucia. Is Alfie there to defend Luci’s honor? No, of course not! He’s there to blackmail the slimeball. He wants 1 million pesos and the construction contract (?) – by tomorrow morning! Heri says Alfie is playing with fire but Alfie assures him he knows exactly who he can trust and if he doesn’t get his money Heri will be the one to go down.

The ladies come back dressed identical and tell Ale all about the fun they had. Lucia gives something to Ale (not sure what it is) and confirms that Leonardo will be able to come with her tomorrow to look at apartments? Casilda doesn’t look happy to hear her Johnny will be accompanying her new sis! Lucia is happy the afternoon out was just what she needed to distract her. She feels better. She tells little sis she looks beautiful and leaves to go change. Lil sis, now alone with Ale, says the trip did her well too she’s exhausted. Ale gets up sternly and says ‘come with me’. They start to walk off and all traces of kindness fall from Ale as she turns to threaten her goddaughter. ‘Don’t you ever say something stupid like that again! You look nothing like Lucia! You could never be her sister!!!’ Casilda wants to know what is wrong with that and the ragging shrew tells her to look in a mirror…. Taken aback Casilda says when Ale talks to her like that, like she’s a hinderance she just wants to leave and go look for her mother. Her mother may have been a servant but she was nice to her, she didn’t call her ugly…. SMACK! Ale slaps her across her face!!! And she starts to run off but Ale tells her that her mother wasn’t a servant. She was a prostitute that worked for her and she ended up leaving with some guy because her daughter was a hinderance to her lifestyle…. she gave birth to you but you owe your life to me, so be more grateful! Take off that dress! How awful!

Later that night, Lucia is on the phone with her friend Tonita (?) saying she needs to talk to Escobar and Pascal ASAP. Her friend reminds her she still has her things, at least what little they were able to salvage from the day she was thrown out on the street. Lucia asks her to take care of them until she’s able to get them from her and she agrees. The friends exchange I love you’s and thank you’s.

Capitulo 7 Part 5/6

Michele is on the phone with Alfredo telling him all the dish she got on Lucia but he isn’t satisfied and she is left unsatisfied as well after he makes an excuse not to come over and she’s left without novio time. Michele complains to her mom about how he treats her but does an about face when mommy suggests she get a hobby, some friends and a real man. Michele definitely can’t leave Alfie! She has to make him happy! She can’t let him leave her for someone else! Someone better, perish the thought! Momma thinks her daughter needs her head examined (or maybe I just think that) but Michele says she isn’t going to let Alfie leave her like her dad left her mom, sorry but it’s true. She then goes into a pretty convincing PTSD rant about how she can’t leave the house because she has to be home just in case Alfie comes over. He’ll be mad if she isn’t there, no no NO! Mom looks more than a little concerned (rightfully) but finally manages to convince her to go to the movies.

Pilar and Ale are now dressed to the nines and in the club. They are discussing the day and how thankfully Lucia didn’t catch on or realize that Pilar’s fiancé was just a client. Ale is happy things are going well and doesn’t want it ruined. Pilar is happy she isn’t alone – well she wasn’t alone before, she had Casilda but now she has Lucia too. Ale immediately insists again there’s no comparison between Casilda and Lucia (and by ‘insists’ I mean she is def protesting too hard… makes you wonder) She tells Pilar that she had to put Casilda in her place and Pilar wonders if she hit her but she denies it. She simply told her to remember if it wasn’t for her she’d been on the streets. Pilar asks how long she is going to treat Casilda like that and Ale says something about ‘until she stops being a threat’ (???)

Isa comes in and interrupts loudly – causing a scene and insulting Pilar. Why is she there? She wants a job!!! (OMG! What job? I wonder) Ale tries to dismiss her but she points out she could be a good ally and Ale reluctantly relents and tells her to ‘follow me’….

Heri and Juventino are chatting and Juventino is informing Heri that Lucia is now in Pueblo with her aunt. Heri looks like he lost his best friend or favorite toy, but viewerville has no sympathy for this louse. Juve tells him Alejandra is a very powerful woman and he better tell him who sold him the photos or there will be trouble. Heri tries to refuse (you know because of the blackmail) and Juve tries to put his foot down. This quickly devolves into threats and insults and viewerville learns Juve has his own skeletons and Heri was nothing but a lowly driver when they met…..blah blah blah….threat, insult, blah.

Isa wants a client facing job (LOL) and Ale was thinking more like mopping the floors. Isa is oddly hopeful about her new role in the brothel and Ale is dripping distain as she tells Isa that she has Pilar and Leonardo to help her with security and make sure the girls aren’t running side deals under her nose….but perhaps there’s a role there for her too. Isa perks up and asks if Ale is going to accept her. Accept her? Nope, never, but she can work for there. BUT Ale warns, don’t step out of line or I’ll ruin you! Isa is way too happy with her new job.

Casilda is on the floor holding her dress and rocking back in forth remembering the hateful things Ale said to her about her mother and herself. She cries violently and tears apart the new dress. She grabs a black mask from a drawer and fingers it thoughtfully before jumping up off the floor.

Paulina too looks like she is miserable and doubting herself. Diego arrives bringing her balloons and her letter of resignation. He rips it up and asks her to come back to work with him. She asks if she is just supposed to forgive him and he suggests they forgive each other! They are family. A family of two, Paulina says sadly but she accepts her brother’s reconciliation.

Capitulo 7 Part 6/6

Now masked Casilda takes photos of herself in a black teddy on her bed and posts it to the internet where she gets plenty of compliments and encouragement from enthusiastic fans.

The next day Paulina returns to work and Fernando is happy to see her telling her, she is the sunshine in the office. They hug and she tells him he is exaggerating. Fernando notices the bruise but she claims she fell in the kitchen (?) Fernando asks if she is still fighting with Diego but she tells him they reconciled and her brother was really sweet, even gave her a gift! Diego walks in just then and wants to know who is sweet but Paulina quickly assures she meant him (this dude is too jealous of his sister…. it’s creepy). He sends Paulina to get coffee and tells Fernando they have big problems. He just got bad news from a supplier (? I think)

Leonardo is talking with a private detective looking guy about Alfie. We see a picture of Alfie with Michele and he tells Leo that Alfie has been dating this girl for two years. Leo is pleased to note he now knows the details of Alfie’s secret life.

Lucia is in her room when she notices Casilda walking by, she tries to engage with her but Casilda doesn’t want to talk. She tries to get away quickly but Lucia notices she’s holding the dress, and it’s all torn! Lucia wants to know what happened and Casilda admits she tore it. Lucia doesn’t understand, yesterday they bought dresses together and they were so happy about it, what happened? Casilda declares that love isn’t the only thing that hurts, sometimes dreaming hurts too.

Michele runs into Silvia at school and Silvia gives her friend some bad advice on how to recover a man’s attention by making him jealous. Michele doesn’t seem very smart so she’ll probably try it later even though she didn’t seem too convinced.

Diego and Fernando discuss business woes. They will have to sell two trucks to get by and with the one they already lost; they will be down three trucks; how will they take care of all their clients?

Pilar and Lucia are looking at a great open storefront. Lucia loves it but she won’t get her hopes up, how much is the rent? On cue, Rafeal shows up looking predatory and saying if you want it, it’s yours! Pilar happily introduces them.

He looks confident, she looks unsure, and there the episode ends.

 

Mexicana. Andy: Of course, women were never galley slaves--presumably too messy and not strong enough. I too thought it was about time Diego told Andrea that he was gay and I too wonder what she will do with that knowledge. I would hope she will use it to calm Katya down (among other things). Katya and Diego could certainly be platonic friends, and he might consider specializing in Psychology or Counseling at the university; he's very good at it. Yep, Sebastian seems to doubt whether Diego is 100% gay. Very insecure of him!

What a gut punch for Elvan! Finding and losing her family all in a couple of minutes! But she still has her baby nephew. Very sad ending for Kman and Ceylan. I really liked those two. Can I say at least they died happy?

About the old woman from the club: Muge found out from Kdad that Kman had a sister. She passed this info to Sancar who thought if he found the sister, he could use this to make a deal with Kman and avoid either giving up the mansion or going to prison for killing Akin. So he had Ceylan contact club people who might have info. That’s how the woman came to the mansion.

It turned out to be a dead end. There were subtle things happening during this visit that hinted at Elvan being the Ksis. Now it’s been revealed! No way to know if this development was in the original plan.

Susanlynn, I think Ahmet gave one more try with a phone call to Dudu. She obviously turned him down and it seems he finally got the message.

“The new writers seem to have killed off most of the extraneous folks from seasons one and two.” You know what they say—a new broom sweeps clean.

Halise is caught in her own web. This woman will never learn. This woman has a bad heart, literally and figuratively. If she dropped, I wouldn’t care. The kids could move on.

So nice to see #MavSanMel so happy!

Thanks, Dondi, a great recap of an episode that could leave your head spinning. And thanks for going over the scene from the previous season. I don’t remember that at all! It sounds like Kman just found out and then had the accident. I want Elvan to take the baby but I also want her to have one of her own. And I like Bora more than Yaya, who already lied to and cheated on Elvan.

Halise will get rid of Sancar’s expected baby so he won’t find out she made a deal with the devil. So she’s going to trust Sedat and Guven knowing exactly who they are. Well , I never respected her so I can’t really lose respect.

Loved the happy family scenes. Malek is so excited about the baby. Will that matter to Halise?

I’m hoping Bora decides he can’t live without Elvan. Also worried that if Elvan goes back to Yaya Dudu will not be happy. Then Sedat could have her working for them.

Yes, we are losing characters. Two families are gone so far.

Thank you, dondi, for the great recaps! I'm always forgetting to watch the show when it starts. Last night, I missed the Kman dying news, and that Sancar knew than Harun was a fake.
I thought Yahya somehow found a baby for Elvan, to lure her back to him.
I hope Bora doesn't leave. I don't want Elvan back with Yahya, or being alone. She deserves a HEA!

What a relief that Sancar busted Harun pretty quickly. I dreaded having to watch that deception go on interminably.
Still a lot to resolve: Halise, Elvan & Bora & Yahya, and please, can Guven and Sedat drown together in the marina??

OT - a fun Turkish dizi (?) is showing again on UniMas- Pajaro Soñador. Need I mention that the galan is gorgeous?? I find the show refreshing, light, funny. A hint of the old US sitcom,"That Girl". Oh, and the protagonist..guapísimo.

Gracias, Weirdo. Lucia and Fernando are certainly surrounded by evil.

Casilda is certainly playing with fire with posting those photos. I am not sure what is wrong with her, but it's something different from in the previous version. When Alejandra becomes aware of these photos she will have a conniption.

How did Heriberto come up from Chauffeur to titular master of the house? I hope we hear that explanation soon.

I think Heri must have been a driver back in the day , and Juv's sister married him. The whole fam damily is disgusting.

So...Lucia doesn't know that her Tia Ale is a madam and that house is a brothel but her stepmother Isa , the opportunist , knows and is trying to take advantage of the situation. Do Ale and isa have a history ? I think these two actresses resemble each other . I have never seen Adela ( Ale) so stonyfaced.

So Diego is jealous of his sister ( he definitely hit her) . Does she like Carlos or Fernando ?

Susanlynn, yes you are right Diego definitely hit her. I wrote that comment about still not knowing how she got hurt in the recap before re-watching Tue's episode and then I forgot to take it out before posting the recap today. I don't know if she's actually jealous or if he's just a creepy possessive older brother to the nth degree but there is definitely something very off about that dude. I think she likes Fernando - that's what has been implied. Carlos likes her but she prefers big brother - can't say as I blame her there.

Ale and Isa don't have a history, per se. When Lucia's dad was still alive Isa found a picture of Ale and wanted to know who she was and he deflected and said nothing expect Isa was to keep her away from Lucia at all times. When daddy died Ale found out (I forgot how maybe Obit??) and showed up at the funeral. Isa spotted her and followed her (I think) and that's how she found out about the brothel. Lucia is definitely naïve naïve naïve.

I like how this story is beginning but I am having issues with how some of these characters story details are similar to the plots of the same actors in their recent former shows. For example: Livia recently played a character named Fernanda and now her galan is Fernando - so when I was reading recaps especially my mind kept going back to Fernanda on the ranch instead of Lucia talking to Fernando!! LOL And there's the friend with benefits situation with Fernando (Marcus) which parallels the whole Martin/Karina sit in Sin Nos Dejan. It will get better of course as the characters get more defined but it's been a challenge so far - I am sure you can understand since you've watched both the prior shows as well. I kind of wish the actors would have more time between shows so you can distance yourself mentally from one character before meeting the next, lol But of course I understand why it might be better for their pocket books to work more frequently! ;)

The last two episodes flew by. I was so glad Sancar didn't argue and went ahead signing Mavi's abortion paper, even though I wanted her to have the baby. My take is that Sancar has learned from his mistakes with Nare and realized he had to trust Mavi to make her own decision.

Then another great Sancar moment with him pulling the plug on Guven and Sedat's fake Mavi dad. You go Sancar!

Now what in the world has happened to Bora? Is it that he's a sprinter and not a long-distance runner? Some guys are good boyfriends for a short time, but don't have what it takes for marriage. Dang, Bora! I thought you were the one.

Elvan, take the baby but leave Yahya.

Poor Dudu. Yahya who? I'm betting Sedat will use her for no good.

We don't get these programs on the same schedule as each other. We are only two weeks behind on Mujer but La Desalmada had an earlier debut in Mexico by comparison.
