Caray, Caray!

Sara wants Pedro to go with her to the congress. She tells Juan she doesn’t feel like going with him after the way he spoke to her in front of Julieta. Juan is hurt she can’t understand how important the company is for him. He is sorry for the way he behaved, but he won’t stop asking for irreproachable behavior at work (how sexy! Ugh…). Sara is not impressed.

Paloma fights with Salvador about his lies concerning her mother’s death. Modesto thinks he should tell Paloma the truth! Salvador pulls out the briefcase that contains everything she has to know about her mother – a whole bunch of letters Irma sent her ever since she left. Paloma opens a letter and as she starts reading she realizes her father knows it by heart. Her mom apologizes for her past, she only left because she felt very ashamed after her affair with Severiano. But she loves her and she always thinks of her. Then Salvador adds that her mom is alive and Paloma starts sobbing. She accuses him of being selfish, not being man enough to face it all.

The Millan have money problems! Rosa realizes it when she tries to make an online payment. She doesn’t understand what could be the problem, Deb calls it poverty. Hehe!

Sara remembers her last confrontation with Juan and how Pedro said he liked her and now thinks her decision to go with Pedro at the congress was a mistake that will hurt Juan. I say, who cares?

Alondra visits Jess and tells her Don Augustin was fired by Pedro. When she adds that Bryan might lose his job, too, Jess is afraid he won’t earn the money he needs to buy her a mansion. Besides, she realized she’s useless, everyone in the Cruz family is nice, but she feels horrible. Alondra szys she wouldn’t have a problem living in a modest home if she was surrounded by a loving family. When Deb is mentioned Jess lets it spill that she and Prospi are lovers. Alondra starts to cry, refuses to believe it, but Jess says she will prove it. They decide they have to throw Deb out. And they can’t tell Prospi Alondra knows, too, they have to catch him off guard. Their family is definitely in shambles. On the plus side Alondra and Lucas are novios… Yey!  Jess suggest to keep it hidden, Rosa might destroy them with her meddling.

Pedro thanks Sara for choosing him to go with her at the congress. Then he starts playing on Sara’s sympathy, by saying he feels bad for Cornelio, but he never loved Bea or chose to have a child. He also adds that his real mother rejected him as a child (flashback of the nasty woman beating Juan and Pedro)…at the same time Juan is remembering the same scene, as Julieta comes in, asking about the toys he has on his desk. He waives her off.

Back to Pedro and Sara, he wipes away a tear, thanks Sara for listening to him. She is very comforting, but pushes him away when he touches her face and says she has some work to do in accounting. What, what? Pedro gets restless.

Mateo asks Modesto to come back to the ranch, they all need him. But the old man can’t, his son almost died because of Pedro. He encourages Mateo to fight his alcoholism. He knows his bio mother left him with Catalina and Severiano to have a better life. And if you want to win Julieta, give up on the booze, maybe that’s why she’s rejecting you, Modesto suggests. Bingo!

Dante reads in Simon's adoption papers that he was found in a basket when he was 10 years old (!!) and went to therapy his entire childhood. Pedro calls him to say that Sara is starting to dig where she shouldn’t. They decide to meet at night.

Paloma and Simon meet in town, she’s screaming hysterically, tells him her mom is alive. Simon, of all people, defends Salvador, saying he surely lied to protect her. The irony is not lost on Paloma, who loves him even more for saying that. Simon loves her, too, she’s the one stabilizing force in his life. They start kissing.

Deb and Dante meet and talk about Juan and Pedro’s origin – kids of a prostitute. They decide they need to find that woman. Their talk is interrupted by a woman we haven’t seen before, but we find out almost immediately she is Irma, Paloma’s mother!! She and Deb go way back, at one time they were rivals for Severino’s affection (even if Deb refuses to accept Irma as any kind of competition for her). Deb asks if Paloma knows she’s back. Irma doesn’t want to fight, she needs help convincing Salvador to allow her to see her daughter. Deb doesn’t think she can help much, but she will try.

Irma reminds Deb that she and Rosa used to be very good friends of Catalina and they both know the type of tricks Deb was capable of to win Severiano, like using a child to trap him. The look Deb and Dante exchange makes me think that something is definitely shady about Sara’s birth, too.

Deb points out Irma could never trap Severino  herslef, but she will try to help her none the less. When the woman leaves, Deb shows her anger to Dante, who suggests that maybe Simon should find out about Irma and deal with her.

At the company Juan and Pedro talk about Mateo drinking again. after Modesto calls them. Sara asks Julieta if this has anything to do with her, Julieta says Sara has as much to do with Mateo’s pain as she does. Pedro takes Sara’s side, Juan puts a stop to the quarrelling and they all leave.  Pedro wants to take Mateo to a clinic, but Juan doesn’t want to keep him away from the family. Sara and Julieta talk about Mateo, too – Sara feels Julieta hurt Mateo the most, Julieta thinks Sara is jealous because Juan always listens to her opinion – long story short, Julieta calls Sara a bastarda, just like her mother, Sara slaps Julieta, demanding respect.

The men see they are fighting, Sara says she will defend herself, Juan asks Julieta to control her actions. Pedro takes Sara’s side again, Juan demands everyone to be professional. But Sara has her limits. She leaves in a huff.

Cornelio wants to talk to Bea, Tadeo overhears him say he’s not his father and starts crying. Cornelio says it’s complicated to explain, but even if they don’t have the same blood, they love one another and that’s all that matters. Tadeo asks Cornelio and Bea to reconcile, Bea asks Cornelio to be alone with her son.

Tadeo asks who his real father is then. Bea say Cornelio is, he raised him and loves him. They will go see a doctor to help him better understand this, but the three of them will always be a family. Tadeo decides to stop keeping secrets, and tells his mom tio Pedro said he was his daddy, which made him feel bad; does this mean he has two daddies?

Don Augustin arrives home, still remembering nasty Pedro firing him, but also a talk he had with Severiano about how important his work has always been. Technology can only do so much, the love and dedications he always showed will never be forgotten. Augustin decides not to give up on work.

Sara is in town, crying while remembering Juan’s hurtful words with Julieta present. But then she decides it’s time to stop feeling sorry for herself, she’s always been able to come up on top on her own. Good for you!

Rosa is on the phone with the bank, complaining about her canceled credit card. Prospi arrives and she whines to him, too. Jess and Alondra come to say their school hasn’t been paid, either. So Prospi declares they are ruined! Rosa can’t understand how that is possible. Prospi says they have been spending too much and the sales haven’t been that great. But Rosa knows that’s not the case, she has access to the boutique’s numbers, too. Alondra says she will pay her own way with her work, but Jess remembers how Prospi had told her he had to lend money to Salvador and says it out loud. Bertha worries about her salary, Rosa gets mad and says she will be in charge of the money from now on. Alondra accuses Prospi of being broke because he’s giving money to his lover!!!

Juan and Pedro arrive at the bar and scold a very drunk Mateo, who makes a scene. Modesto tries to defend him, Julieta also thinks he hasn’t had so much to drink, but Pedro and Juan disagree. Pedro tells Mateo he will have to go to a clinic, but Mateo doesn’t like this. He stands on a table, accusing Juan of stealing his woman. And then Sara, his sister, stole Julieta’s fiancé, too. Pedro and Juan drag Mateo down, while he states that Julieta loves him and only him. Enter Cornelio just in time for Mateo to remember him and say out loud that Pedro stole Cornelio’s woman, too. Julieta calls him a despicable drunk. Can’t argue there!

Sara and Bea talk about their many dramas. Bea and Cornelio are fighting, Sara was afraid someone was going to die, Bea tells her Tadeo now knows the truth.

Sara shares how bad her relationship with Juan is going, he’s different when at work. Bea warns her work could break them up. Sara then adds that Pedro claims to feel something for her and Bea tells her to be careful, Pedro is not what he appears to be. Sara states Pedro is just her brother, Bea warns her to protect her heart.

Now in town, Paloma tells Silmon she still feels very bad. She adds she wants to marry right away and Simon suggests they use the ranch chapel. Irma watches them from farther away and Adela spots her, too.

Simon plans to ask Modesto to help them organize the wedding, even if Paloma wants something small. Paloma is also happy that soon enough she will finish school and start work, Simon reminds her that he also wants a baby real fast (oh, boy!) They hug and Paloma notices a lady who is observing them, who could it be? Irma leaves quickly, Simon doesn’t know her either. They decide to go to the bar, confront Salvador.

Salvador and Modesto talk about Paloma knowing the whole truth. Modesto thinks his brother should go search for Irma, remember the bad life she had with you. Salvador denies this, he only wanted her not to cheat. Modesto gets poetic, Paloma needs to be happy.  

Back at the company, Juan and Pedro both agree that Mateo needs to go to a clinic, but Lucas doesn't like the idea. Sara arrives to ask what happened with Mateo, she and Julieta almost get into it again before Juan stops them. He’s afraid of people gossiping about what Mateo said, so Lucas checks social media to see if someone posted something online. Sara and Pedro plan to go prepare for the congress, but Lucas finds an interview of Mr. Henry who basically says that Juan and his lover Sara are two incompetents who have cost him a lot of money and are doing a very bad job managing the company their father left them.

Juan calls Dante, who says this will make them lose their investors. Pedro thinks this is Juan’s fault, Lucas suggest they should make a live explaining their point of view on the situation. Pedro says dad shouldn’t have put Juan in charge, and he decides he is going to take over. Caras impactadas all around.
