Amor Valiente Episode 62 p. 1 of 2

Cesur is pointing his pistol at Riza, but he finally says, "I can't do it. I've already lost my family. I won't let anyone take Suhan and my child from me."

Hulya sees Tahsin (TK) lying on the ground. She yells for someone to call an ambulance.

Cesur returns to his house and tells Suhan, "I didn't do it. I didn't hurt anyone, because you're the most precious thing in my life. You and the baby." Suhan reminds him that she said if he went out the door, they were through, and he went out the door. Cesur says "Anger clouded my judgment. I don't want to become an assassin. I want to be a father."

We see the hospital staff rush TK down the corridor. We hear the obligatory "He's lost a lot of blood."

Reyhan asks Suhan to forgive her. "I lost control when I heard he killed Salih." She asks people to turn her in to the police. Suhan says no. "No one goes anywhere until I return." She goes off to the hospital.

At the hospital, Korhan asks Suhan how Reyhan knew about TK's killing Salih. Who told her? Suhan looks in the direction of Cahide. Cahide turns away. Suhan tells Cahide it's best if she leaves.

The doctor comes out. They need AB-compatible blood for a transfusion. Neither Suhan nor Korhan has the right type, but Guess Who Does. "I'm compatible," Cesur says. "I'm O-negative." Miran--oops, I mean Cesur--goes off to give blood for his father-in-law.

TK wakes up. He asks Korhan what happened. Korhan tells him he had an accident. TK doesn't remember anything.

In the hallway, the doctor says to Korhan, "It seems your father has lost his memory." Korhan replies, 'He may be pretending. You don't know my father. I want another doctor to examine him."

Omnipresent Riza is in the hospital and overhears this conversation. He then goes into the room where TK is. TK doesn't recognize him. Riza tells him, "You're old and your memory isn't working well." An angry TK yells "Get out!" Riza leaves. As he walks down the hall to the exit, he passes Suhan and Cesur walking in the opposite direction. Suhan ignores him, but Cesur stops and glares at him.

The doctor Korhan summoned says he agrees with his colleagues that TK is suffering from a partial memory loss. He says TK should avoid stress. People should keep delicate information from him. When asked how long this will last, he says he doesn't know. Right now, TK thinks it's 2012.

Suhan goes to see her father. He greets her with "My butterfly, how are you? Did you speak to the doctor? I don't remember anything. I keep trying to, but I can't." Cesur enters the room, and TK asks who he is. Cesur replies, "I'm your son-in-law." TK says to Suhan, "So you're married?"

Bulent talks with Mihriban. He tells her he was with Banu. Mihriban says, "No matter what you do, you're my son." Bulent asks her to forgive him. He tells her, "Banu will not give the recording to the DA, but she doesn't want to have anything to do with me."

A hospital employee gives Suhan a plastic bag containing TK's things. She looks through them and finds his cell phone. She wants to see who has called. No one. Except there's one call from an unknown number. She plays the message: "Dear Tahsin, I miss you a lot. Very soon I'll come back to you." Suhan says, "Adalet." Cesur tells her that if they bring the phone to the DA, he and his team will be able to trace the call and find out where she is.

Korhan and Suhan bring TK home. TK asks, "Where is Salih? He didn't come to see me at the hospital."

Ep. 62 p. 2 of 2

Cesur brings TK's phone to the DA. The DA is at first suspects that Cesur stole it. Cesur assures him that Suhan gave it to him.

Suhan reminds Korhan that they need to hide from TK everything that might upset him. Korhan doesn't feel like being nice to TK after all the mean things he's done. Then again, Korhan admits, thanks to the memory loss, "he does look at me with love." Suhan says, "I wish he hadn't fallen from the pedestal I put him on."

Cesur tells Kemal and Sirin that since Suhan won't live at his house, he will go live with her at TK's. Kemal says, "May the force be with you. It won't be easy." "I know," replies Cesur.

TK uses a different phone (I think) to call Adalet. A man answers and says there's no one by that name there. TK asks, "Isn't this Adalet's house?" No, you must have dialed the wrong number.

Hulya, who had been listening at the door, brings TK his meds. She asks whether he called Adalet. "Do you know Adalet?" TK asks. "Of course I know her," Hulya replies. "She left after she found out about our relationship. You told her you never wanted to see her again. Don't you remember?" TK asks, "What relationship?" Hulya replies, "We've been lovers for a while. You love me."

TK calls for Reyhan to bring him the newspaper so he can see what's going on. Cahide comes in and calls him father-in-law." He asks, "Are you pregnant?" He pats her belly. "How wonderful! My dumb son has finally given me happiness!"

The DA has learned that the call to TK from the unknown number came from the Korludag Hotel. He then interrogates Riza. Riza tells him that TK seemed very unhappy, so Riza tried to cheer him up by sending him messages seemingly from Adalet. "That's not a crime, is it?" asks Riza.

Mihriban and Bulent come to see TK. TK tells Bulent not to pretend to be the head of the company. "I'll be back very soon," says TK. Mihriban tells him that she's running for mayor. TK laughs and says, "It's the one place in this poor town that you have yet to ruin."

Cesur is talking with the DA about Riza and the messages from Adalet. Cesur says, "It's clear that he did something to Adalet and is trying to hide it." The DA agrees, but says they can't prove it. "We have no way to prove that Riza is lying." Cesur says that Adalet's assistant said she went to see Riza and was never heard from again. The assistant could testify. The DA points out that her version of events can be refuted. Bottom line: "for this to be considered a crime, we need to find Adalet's body."

At the dinner table with Suhan, Cesur, Cahide, and Korhan, TK dismisses the notion that Mihriban could become mayor. "No one will become mayor of this town without my agreement." He then adds, "What if Mihriban is the one who stabbed me?" Not getting an answer, he asks, "Where is Reyhan?" Cahide replies, "They don't work here any more." She claims that Reyhan was angry with Salih and stabbed him. TK looks at Cesur and says, "Son-n-law, take me to my room. I need to digest what I ate and heard here."

As Cesur helps TK to his room, TK says, "Poor Salih. We were close. He was my right-hand man." Then, turning to Cesur, TK says, "Son, we should get to know each other better. Tell me who you are, where you're from, who your parents are." Cesur manages to reply, "Suhan will tell you at the right moment." And with that, the episode ends.

Thank you Juanita! Another great and concise recap! So Mean daddy has really lost his memory, haha! I wouldn’t believe it if he weren’t so nice to Cesur! I don’t believe he could hide his dislike for him as his regular mean old conniving and manipulative self, lol. But with mean daddy ya never know! What about Hulya! Saying that stuff to mean daddy about them being lovers! She really needs to go along with Cahide! Cahide has no filter and is another menace to society! I do believe that Korhan has had enough of her!

Lol at “Miran,” no Cesur having O negative blood! That must be the “galan” blood type——negativo, lol! And yes the “omnipresent” Riza! So sick of him and his “everywhere” self. He needs to go and sit his behind down somewhere and stay there for a month! I hope they get to the bottom of him killing Adalet soon!

Loved Mirhiban going to bat for her son, even though that dummy deserves everything that the DA would’ve done to him. Mirhiban is a gem, and at least they made up. She loves her son, dirtwad that he is……

And Que the hell?!?! Only this week left for this dizi?!?! Seems like an awful lot still needs to be resolved! Well, that’s Telemundo for ya!

Juanita, thank you for every detail of the drama unfolding .

As we all suspected , "I am titanium" Tahsin is not down long from a stab to the stomach followed by a head bash. However, new twist ....amnesia ....making him a sweeter guy who likes his yerno .Will
The infusion of Cesar's galan blood make him a better man or , at least, less of a monster ?

He also has forgotten that he has no love for his son and is giddy about Cahide's pregnancy . He asks " Are you pregnant ?" As she stands in front of him with her big belly. Then he rubs it . Jolly old grandpa.

Tah does seem to remember that he is the big boss of the town as he spars with Mir.

Hulygan , ever ready for an opportunity, tells Tah that they were lovers . Will he buy what Huly is selling?

And Riza.....is always there plotting and scheming .

Thanks very much, carmella and Susanlynn, for your perceptive and appreciative comments.

Carmella, yes, I definitely think that both Hulya and Cahide need to leave, and that Korhan has had enough of Cahide. In fact, when I read your comment, I realized that I had forgotten to include Korhan's statement about getting a divorce soon. Whether that will really happen is anyone's guess, especially since she's carrying his child. And QTF indeed! I wondered whether I had hallucinated the statement that the final episode would be this Friday. Huh? Since the next novela/dizi isn't supposed to start until Tuesday, Sept. 6, I assumed that Amor Valiente would end on Monday, Sept. 5. What can Telemundo put in the six empty days?? Bottom Chef? Casa de los Infamosos? ???

Susanlynn, I too was surprised/amazed watching "Titanium Tahsin" bounding out of bed like a healthy teenager in spite of being stabbed in the stomach and bashing his head. And I enjoyed your question about whether the infusion of Cesur's blood might make TT a better man. So far, most of the improvement seems to have come from his memory loss. He now has nothing but kind thoughts about Salih, is delighted with Cahide's pregnancy, and welcomes his new yerno, Cesur. He does seem to remember Mihriban, however. Hmmm.... Well, apparently there are now only four more days to get all this straightened out--or tied in more knots.

Thanks for the recap, Juanita.

We are only in the middle of Turkish ep 28 out of 32. That's a lot of material to cram into 4 Telemundo eps. Although IIRC, the original got a little choppy near the end, like it was hurry up and finish time. I see on Zap2it that Infiel is going to go to two hours, 9 - 11p. I guess they are in a hurry to finish that one to clear the way for LRDS 3!

Thanks so much for the recap, Juanita. Excellent detail and humor as always. I especially liked "Miran, oops, I mean Cesur goes off to give blood".

So how is Hulya going to explain the baby? The chubby one is bound to start crying sometime. Would she have the avocados to say it's Tahsin's? Of course we haven't seen anything of the baby for over a week since he doesn't move the plot along very much.

I thought they said, last night, that Cahide was carrying a girl. Did I imagine that?

I thought Riza was sending those texts to TK from Adalet's phone that he'd confiscated before burying her.

TK definitely remembers to disparage Mihriban at every opportunity.

Susanlynn, loved the idea of galán blood being a cure-all.

Kind of amor-val

I noticed in both letters written by Riza and in letters that have been shown in other dizis that it's aways printing, not cursive. This sent me to Mr. Google, who told me that cursive is rare in Turkey. In telenovelas and programs in English, whenever the camera rests on some sort of letter, maybe a suicide note, it's usually in cursive. This, of course, sends me to one of my pet peeves. Cursive is no longer stressed or perhaps even taught in schools these days. I don't think my granddaughter can write it. I write everything in cursive unless printing is specifically requested, or when filling in forms online. I can take quick notes in cursive, but printing feels much slower and laborious to me.

amor-val, infiel, OT

Thanks very much, dondi356 and novelera, for your very helpful comments.

Dondi356, thanks for the info about Infiel running 9-11 pm starting the week after the coming one. I bet/hope you're right about speeding things up to clear the way for LRDS3.
As for having to cover more than 3 Turkish episodes in just the 4 remaining days, I can believe that there's lots of unessential material that could be cut. Whether Telemundo chooses wisely is another matter.

Novelera, I too vaguely remember someone (TK?) saying something last night about a granddaughter, referring to Cahide's about-to-be baby. If it was TK, then it doesn't count, since he has no way of knowing whether it's a boy or a girl. I thought that some doctor many episodes ago told Cahide she was carrying a boy. Good point about the phone Riza was using to send the messages "from Adalet." I wonder whether we'll get more attention to this tonight.

And novelera, good point about cursive. When I write postcards urging people to vote, I always print, since some of the postcards are going to people in late teens and early 20s who may indeed be unable to read cursive. Oddly, the instructions I've received never say anything about printing vs. cursive.

OT...I think my local school district still teaches cursive but not as aggressively as when I learned and practiced it. If kids don't learn cursive , how can they write their signatures on formal documents ?

I had a high school friend who was left handed . He would turn his paper upside down on his desk and always printed. It fascinated me.

I always printed words on the board when I taught ESL because my foreign students couldn't read cursive .

I will do a recap tonight. My hand looks pretty ugly, but it is a LOT better and doesn't really hurt. I do notice when the 12-hours are up from the last time I took Aleve, so that seems to be helping a lot.

OT

Susanlynn, I work with immigrants and see their signatures. When one is requested for, say, enrollment in our company medical insurance plan, they print. They do the same on their applications for employment.

Novelera, that is interesting about printed names being accepted as a signature.

So glad your hand is improving ! Yay!

#63 – parte 1 de 3

We begin with Cahide walking on a road and moving her arms for exercise. Bulent comes up and starts ragging on her, saying she must be happy to be back in the “big house”. [Hmm. I thought when Bulent apologized and cried in his mother’s arms that he was going to reform. Apparently not.] He says he wants something from her.

Cesur gets a map and a letter dropped at his house. “The woman you seek is beneath the earth. Here are the coordinates.”

What Bulent wanted was Zafer. He tells Cahide he won’t hurt the baby. But Zafer’s mother needs to pay him what she owes him.

Apparently Hulya does give a rat’s patootie about the baby. She’s desperate wondering where he is. Someone has told her that Cahide went into the garden with Zafer. Hulya gets a call asking for money to return the child.

Cesur follows the directions on the map and finds some disturbed soil and a convenient shovel leaning against a tree. This is another trap as we see Turan in the bushes usually occupied by Riza. Turan calls the police about a man digging into what looks like a grave. Cesur has uncovered a hand just as the cops show up, guns drawn. Cesur doesn’t even turn a hair at this. He tells them that “she’s been found" and to call the DA.

Serhat, Cesur, and Riza are in Serhat’s office. Cesur: “You gave us the body of Adalet very easily, Riza.” Serhat: “The coroner says she was strangled to death. Under her nails we found your DNA! [We see the flashback of Adalet scratching Riza.] The cops take him to the cell that has had a LOT of occupants during this dizi.

In the cell Riza talks to himself. “This can’t happen. I won’t go back to prison.” He starts to bash his head on the bars over and over. He’s then taken to the infirmary. After they patch him up, he says he has to go. He tries to convince the guard to leave him alone because the stink might do the guy in. But the guard stays. Riza knocks on the first stall. “Occupied.” Turan comes out of this one and turns on the hand dryer to hide the sounds in Riza’s stall. Riza gets a gun wrapped in plastic from the toilet tank a la the first Godfather movie. [This whole thing doesn't work for me. How did Riza set all this up when his plan was for Cesur to be blamed? How did he know they'd find DNA under his fingernails?]

Hulya rants in the kitchen. Cahide is also there. “Who could know I have any money to pay a random?” She figures it out. Bulent! She also figures out Cahide helped and she gets in her face, looking really scary, and threatens her.

Riza again says he has to go while he’s being transported…somewhere…in a police car. [Why didn’t they just patch him up and put him back in the same cell. But that wouldn’t move the plot along.] He threatens to pee in the car and they stop. He kills them both and escapes.

#63 – parte 2 de 3

Hulya comes to Mihriban and Bulent’s house. She wants her baby back. She rages and tells Mihriban that Bulent kidnapped her son.

Serhat comes to tell Cesur and Suhan that Riza escaped. [cara impactada de Suhan.]

Riza rags on Turan for the crummy hideout he’s chosen. [We saw Turan call Riza a miserable psychopath when he was asked to film Cesur possibly hitting him. Why in the hell does he keep doing his bidding?] Turan hands over a bag full of money he’s retrieved, who knows from where. Riza figures out it’s short. Turan hands over what he tried to keep. Riza calls the guy who made it possible for him to not rot in jail un asco (disgusting).

Serhat tells Cesur that Riza has two options: flee the country or stay to get revenge. He tells Suhan and Cesur that he’ll post guards.

Hulya meets Turan in a café. She tells him that their baby was kidnapped by Bulent. “Find him, please!”

Cesur and Suhan are walking hand in hand and run into Mihriban. They tell her that they are getting married next Sunday.

Riza’s former prison buddy, Hikat, has come to tell Riza that he can get him a passport. And there’s a boat that leaves on Sunday nights. He’ll set it up. “It’s going to cost a lot.” Riza tells him to get the boat ready. But there’s something he has to do first: destroy Cesur.

Bulent gets in his car and Turan puts a gun to his head. [Does novelera mind this? ¡Para Nada!] “Where’s my son?”

We next see Turan tell Hulya that Bulent had nothing to do with it.

Suhan models her wedding dr3ess for Cesur. This is such a warm, affectionate scene.

Turan brings Zafer to his mother. Hulya is happy to see the baby, but says that Turan and Cahide planned the whole thing. She accuses Turan of being capable of helping kidnap his own son. He replies that she has no room to talk; she planned to sell the kid in the first place. And then she left him like a bag of groceries in front of someone’s house. She looks sheepish.

We see a flashback. Bulent tells Turan that Zafer is here, safe and sound. And Bulent also says that if Turan accepts the blame for this, he’ll give him half the ransom.

#63 – parte 3 de 3

Cahide does some more sucking up to TK, the amnesiac. When he wonders why Cesur and Suhan aren’t there for dinner, she tells him that they have their own house. TK insists on going there and Korhan drives him.

Sirin has cooked and she, Kemal, Cesur, and Suhan sit down to eat. TK arrives. He peers at the guards. He has a quick memory of the house in flames. Sirin lets him in but cannot be civil. Cesur invites him to join them for dinner. He asks Suhan where Adalet is, telling about her house having another person living there. Suhan says she left and doesn’t’ know why. TK spies Hasan Karahasanaglu’s painting on the wall. He has another quick memory, this one of the house of Cesur’s grandparents on fire and his taking something. He asks why the painting is here. Suhan, thinking fast, tells him that it was a wedding present. TK warns Cesur that it’s valuable, and Cesur has a hard time controlling himself.

TK goes on to ask why he would have turned his company over to Korhan, the useless one, when Suhan would have been a better option.

Riza calls Cesur from a pay phone. “Let’s play a game. The winner will destroy the loser. I’ll send you the first clue tomorrow.”

Sirin and Suhan look at some images of the wedding site on a laptop. Cesur asks Sirin if any envelope or box came for him. He kind of blows up at Suhan because he’s worried about Riza. Then we see that the morning paper has letters and words circled. Cesur comes up with this: Suhan’s mother’s grave. He then leaves without saying goodbye. He tells the guards not to let Suhan out of their sight.

Suhan tells Sirin she’s sure Cesur’s absence has to do with Riza. All she wants is a normal life. She wants them to be thinking of where they’ll go on their honeymoon. They were supposed to be picking out the wedding cake today. She says she’s never wished anyone ill will, but she wishes a bolt would come from the sky and split Riza’s head open.

Cesur arrives at the grave and finds a note: the house where Suhan’s mother spent her youth. Oh, boy, looks like Riza plans on a Turkish treasure hunt.

Amor Val

Glad you’re on the mend novelera, and thank you for this excellent recap of an episode that was sliced and diced by Edward scissor hands on steroids! First Cahide was in one outfit when she was talking to Bulent, then another 3 seconds after that when she was handing over the baby in sunglasses and another outfit Cahide is the worst kind of person there is! A pure opportunist with no loyalty to anyone! Even her husband! She would sell out a child just to get back on Bulent’s good side?!?! Ohhhhhh hell no! At least chicken head Hulya has more integrity than chicken head Cahide! Cahide can’t even look like she’s not involved in EVERYTHING when she’s confronted! The guilt on her face is plain to see! Awful, awful woman!!

Then Bulent! What an asshole! I hope he lives his rats azz life alone forever! What a horrible son Mirhiban has! She doesnt deserve him!! And along with that father of the year, and Riza’s resident ass wiper Turhan! Returning his own son for money is as low as you can go, even if Hulya deserves some of what she dishes out. At least Hulya ( who did surprise me too, in caring for her son) will go and raise hell, and fight like a fierce momma cat for what’s her’s! But the majority of men in this dizi leave a lot to be desired in the perfect mate pool! Just slime most of them! And the whole Riza escape, just plain disbelieving! Guards NEVAH leave the prisoners alone, that’s why cells have open toilets out in plain site! When they do have to go in a stall, guards are right in there! No surprises! No more risk of hurting oneself on the guards watch. Then, to top it off, Riza, the murderer of his sister, is placed in the back seat of an open police car and not a paddy wagon?!?! Foul, foul foul! But like you said, the story has to move along…….

Cesur got on my nerves this episode. Why is he falling into Riza’s traps? Eff Riza, and the road he walked in on, stalker that he is! Riza is making my azz itch, and I’m tired of his petty criminal self holding all the cards. The police, and DA as we know, will not find him! I’m hoping Turhan kills him for some reason or another, but the turd Turhan is even too stupid to hide money from Riza. Turned it over like a dog caught with a bone, looking all sheepish and dumb.

Mean daddy’s memory is returning——quickly I might add, but then there’s only 3 days left in this dizi, hahaha. I watch the bolum episode akin to this one, and of course, as we all know, they cut out hella scenes! Wish they had subtitles, cause although I can catch the gist of what’s going on by their emotions and facial expressions, it would be nice to know exactly what’s being said. I can’t even begin to tell you how many scenes were cut out! Sorry, but maybe dondi356 can help there?

Leave it to TM to ruin a pretty good dizi……but it’s all about ratings for them……and I guess time constraints……

Novelera, thank you for an excellent recap of a wild and crazy episode. As this dizi hurtles toward the end, the writers seem to be throwing odds and ends into the pot...Riza back in jail...a kidnapping ....wedding planning.

The scene of Riza bashing his head on the cell bars was upsetting . The whole convoluted plan of setting up Cesar to find Adalet's body , but then the evidence showing that Riza killed her. Wait? What? I guess we are seeing Riza's decline as he still thinks that he is the smartest guy in the room , but he is just a psychopath .

Then, we get the equally bizarre kidnapping plot with Bu somehow convincing dim Cahide to kidnap the baby to ramson for money from wacky Hulygan, who suddenly cares about her baby . Then, he convinces the baby's father to go in on The plot with him for a cut of the ransom money. Did Huly pay the ransom?

I guess we know who the next kidnapping victim Will be.

It must not be bad luck for the groom to see the bride in her gown before the wedding . I think Suhan modeled about 5 similar looking gowns for Cesar.

It seems that now that Riza has killed Tah's love , he is now focused on Cesar and setting him on a scavenger hunt. I used to do those for our daughters we they got home from the first day of school. They loved them .

Amor-val

Thanks for the recap, novelera. Glad to hear your hand is improving. You managed to make some sense out of an extremely edited episode. It’s like they deleted an entire episode worth of scenes.

Riza thought he was setting up Cesur. But it was the other way around. Cesur and Serhat set up Riza, and even Suhan had a part in it. After Serhat questioned Riza about Adalet and had to let him go, Cesur met with Serhat. Serhat said what they needed was to find Adalet’s body. So, this is what they set up…

Cesur commandeered the town square PA system as Riza was walking through there and made an announcement naming Riza and the awful things he did— blackmail to gain the hotel and the murder of Fugen. He went on to say these things couldn’t be proved because Riza has destroyed the evidence. This drew a big gawking crowd. Mihriban was there campaigning and is shocked. Suhan had showed up and heard, too. She questions Cesur’s judgment in doing this, saying what if Riza files a complaint?

So, now there’s a mass exodus from the hotel and Riza is steaming about what Cesur did. He tells Turan that he will get even. He goes to complain to Serhat. Serhat tells Riza a “secret”—he believes something happened to Adalet and Cesur had something to do with it. After all, Cesur is out for revenge and Adalet killed his father. All he needs is evidence, like finding Adalet’s body. Trap is set.

Riza calls Suhan and wants to see her. He has important things to tell her about Cesur, things he has hidden from her. Suhan agrees to meet him at the Nişantaşı house. Suhan calls Serhat and tells him about the meeting. She’s going to try to get a confession out of him. Serhat says it’s dangerous, but she wants to do it so Riza gets his punishment. Serhat agrees to help her. They will install cameras at the house and Serhat will observe from a nearby car and there will be guards around too.

Suhan gets around Cesur by telling him she’s going to meet with her father’s doctor. Suhan doesn’t know that Serhat called Cesur to fill him in. Cesur is worried for Suhan but reluctantly agrees when Serhat says he will be there.

Suhan and Riza meet with Serhat observing. He sees Riza slip a mickey into Suhan’s water, warns her by text and Suhan is able to exchange glasses with him. Suhan and Riza argue about who killed whom. They both drink water to calm down.

Cesur gets the letter about where to find Adalet and you know the rest of that. He let Serhat know before leaving to find the body.

No confession from Riza, but he is knocked out. When he wakes up, he’s in the hospital, handcuffed to a bed with a policeman sitting next to him.

Turan is in deep, especially because of Adalet, and Riza’s holding that over his head. So I guess that’s why he continues to do Riza’s bidding.

If you have other questions, I'll try to answer them.

Dondi, wow, thanks for filling in all those pieces of the puzzle that TPTB felt they could snip out . These storylines are confusing and wacky enough without chopping away chunks of them . Anyhoo, I appreciate you explaining how the original storyline played out.

It's interesting the way the writers shifted the main villain from Tah to Riza, the guy he sent to prison for thirty years . Then, they switched Riza's main revenge target from Tah to Cesar.

amor-val

Dondi, thanks SO much for filling in the blanks. Of course I might have had heart palpitations sitting through a scene with Riza and Suhan in a room together. Riza is starting to make Tahsin fade as the main villain. The actor is good. He kind of makes my skin crawl. So...are we to suppose he planned to rape an unconscious Suhan?

So Turan fears hitting Adalet with a rock could put him back in prison? But that is nada compared with that awful strangulation scene. My younger brother and I had some sibling rivalry when we were little, probably because I hated being supplanted as the "star of the show". But all that fades away into affection as adults. My brother still lives in our hometown in Ohio, but when we talk on the phone, we have so many memories to laugh about.

Thanks very much, novelera, for a detailed and helpful recap that tries to make sense of a gutted, mangled episode.

I confess that I still don't understand the business with Zafer. I guess I haven't been paying enough attention to previous episodes. Why does Bulent think that Hulya should pay him? Oh well, let's move on to the more important matter: Riza's plotting. You asked about the money Turan turned over to Riza. I think at one point Riza indicates that it's money he has saved, so he knows how much there should be. When his counting reveals a smaller amount, he accuses Turan of having kept some for himself, and so Turan gives it back. But that's just about the only thing in this crazy episode that made sense.

Novelera, you raised a number of excellent questions about the episode. Like you, I wondered how Riza could have arranged for Turan to leave a gun for him in the toilet. For that matter, what was Turan doing there at all? If he was arrested, why wasn't he accompanied by a guard when he used the toilet? And if he wasn't arrested, how did he gain access to the jail's bathroom?

Like you, novelera, I assumed that Telemundo had done a certain amount of slicing and dicing, making the episode very choppy. But I had NO IDEA how massive a hack job they had done until I read dondi356's message. WOW! Why in the world did Telemundo leave out so much that was crucial to our understanding the plot? Dondi356, MANY THANKS for providing so much critical information about what was left out!

I do have one observation that has nothing to do with either the "kidnapped" baby or Riza. As Suhan was trying on wedding dresses, I kept wondering how she could fit into a gown that fit so closely around the waist, given her pregnant state. I realize that she's only a few months pregnant, but even at, say, 3 months, I would imagine she could no longer wear such a dress.

Again, many thanks, novelera and dondi356. I confess that I am nervous about what kind of slicing and dicing I'll have to deal with in tonight's recap.

I think it is now time to put on our industrial strength beanies and start suspending our disbelief as we continue to try to make sense of this plot and jump the sharks.

Oh well, Cesar continues to be a fine figure of a man , lovely to look at , and still relatively mellow despite the swirling, hot and cold crazies surrounding him . I kind of enjoy watching his expressions and body language when he is around his new bff now that Tah has no memory of how much they hate each other and why. Sometimes you get what you get and you dont get upset , as the kindergarten teachers tell their tiny students.

As someone once advised here at Caray when a show got increasingly bizarre .." Just let your mind float like a pear in jello." I have found this to be excellent advice in a variety of situations as real life goes off its axle . ...very existential.

Riza was only in a holding cell at the courthouse and not in prison yet. Anyone can enter the courthouse so Turan was able to be there. We had no explanation in the Turkish ep how Riza and Turan set that up, unless I missed it somehow. There was some slicing and dicing in the original in the last few eps too.

So this is what we saw-- Riza bashed his head and was taken to a treatment room at the courthouse. That’s when asked to use the bathroom and got the gun from the toilet. There was a guard with Riza but he warned him not to come into the stall because it would smell very bad…lol. Riza made his escape while they were transferring him to prison.

I forgot to mention a scene where Turan was very upset because he thought Riza was getting sloppy and drawing suspicion about Adalet’s murder. Riza warned him not to complain or he would kill him. Another reason for Turan to comply.

Thanks so, so much dondi356! As I mentioned, I watched the Turkish version, but could not have begun to guess that all of that was going on! TM is really doing a hatchet job, and all of the scenes you mentioned are super important to the resolution of this dizi……..I wonder if because Riza’s sick and evil character became so enigmatic, they decided to build a story around him?? I thought all of this was going to get to the bottom of what really happened between Mean daddy and Cesur’s family. Still clueless on those facts though. Mean daddy stole Cesur’s legacy and we’re no closer to how he did all that……..

Just a sliced and thrice diced story now on how Riza’s end will come about….I’m mad 😡

Cesur shows DA Serhat the note he got from Riza. Cesur wants to use the game Riza has proposed in order to capture him. Suhan is adamantly opposed. However, the DA agrees that Cesur should play Riza's game.

For some reason [I have no idea why], Cahide tells Tahsin (TK) that she knows where Adalet is. "She left the country. No one knows where. It's possible that she got married." TK takes the information calmly: "She's married. She did the right thing. She waited for me for so long and I never proposed. She couldn't wait forever, right? I hope she's happy."

Cesur seems to have gone to Riza's place looking for clues. The DA asks him whether he's found anything. Yes, there are notes stuck on the back of photos: "Neruz Street #67," "No more games," I'll see you there at 5 PM," and a fourth that was garbled.

Suhan is frustrated and angry. "No matter what I think, you'll do what you want." Cesur tells her that it's best for her and for the baby if she stays at home (rather than go with him).

Cesur goes off to play the game. He enters a house and calls "Riza? I'm here. Show your face." [Does Cesur have a death wish?] We see a room with a gun attached to a door. Cesur slowly and carefully opens the door. The gun goes off. At first I thought that Cesur had been shot. And I was right, but it turns out he was wearing a bullet-proof vest and was uninjured. Cesur reports to the DA, "I'm OK. It was a trap. He's not here. I'd be dead if it weren't for the bullet-proof vest." We see Riza watching from a distance via binoculars.

Later, Riza calls Turan and asks who in Korludag would be happy to ruin Cesur and Suhan's happiness? Turan first mentions TK. Who else, asks Riza. Turan suggests Hulya. "If there's something in it for her, she'll do it." We then see two masked men grab and chloroform her. Turan also suggests Cahide. "She's as bad as Hulya," he tells Riza. "She'd do anything as long as she has something to gain." Two masked men grab her as well. Finally, Turan mentions Bulent. "He tried to kill Cesur in the past." Yup, two men....

Riza apparently makes a proposal to each of the three. He tells Bulent "My proposal has to do with Suhan and Cesur and their happiness." This is followed immediately by Riza telling Cahide, "Suhan is pregnant, and if she has a boy, what will happen to you?" (We don't see what he says to Hulya.)

Bulent comes to see TK. He tells TK that Suhan is about to make the same mistake twice. She's marrying Cesur today. TK says they're already married. Bulent apparently sets him straight. TK goes to see Suhan, who is trying on her wedding dress. "I see it's true," he says. You're marrying Cesur Karahasanoglu." Suhan asks him how he knows this. TK replies, "That serpent is Hasan Karahasanoglu's son. He even tried to kill me. How could you marry my enemy?" Suhan tells him that Cesur is no longer his enemy, but TK insists, "I will not permit this marriage!" Suhan tells him, "It's too late. We're getting married whether you approve or not. I'm pregnant." TK leaves.

Suhan is with Sirin. She asks for some water. Sirin hands her a bottle. She mentions it's been opened but no one has drunk from it. [All kinds of warning bells went off in my head, but Suhan couldn't read my mind. She drank the water.]

Back at Casa Korludag, TK has flashbacks of the young Adalet, of Riza, and the death of Cesur's mother.

Suhan and Cesur are standing at the altar in an outdoor ceremony. Suhan begins to feel uncomfortable, and then suddenly she has sharp pain.

Riza asks someone on the phone, "Did you do it? I knew I could trust you."

#64 p. 2 of 3

At the hospital, a grumpy doctor tells Suhan's waiting family and friends, "She almost lost the baby." Prodded a bit, he admits that mother and baby are both OK.

Bulent is driving, and he tosses what looks like a small atomizer out of the car window.

Sirin tells Cesur that TK came to see Suhan before the wedding. He said that he would not permit the wedding. Cesur storms out. He arrives at TK's and demands to see him. TK asks, "How dare you come here?" Cesur informs him that Suhan is in the hospital. "We almost lost our baby. Do you remember, you tried to kill me. You almost killed your daughter because she was riding in my car. You killed Salih--you shot him. That's who you are, a hypocrite, a murderer." TK is silent. An agitatd Cesur screams, "Say something, look at me! Have you awakened from your slumber?" Cesur leaves. TK looks stunned, almost shell-shocked.

Korhan is concerned that his father is missing. He is told, "Cesur was at the house and yelled at TK. Cesur left, and then TK left, too. It was like he had seen a ghost."

Hikmet tells Riza that the ship doesn't leave until tonight, but Riza can stay here. Riza tells Hikmet he doesn't have to wait.

Korhan comes to Cesur's house. He takes Cesur outside, supposedly to talk business, but when they get outside, Korhan says "My father is missing. I've looked everywhere." Cesur admits, "I lost control. I told him everything. I told him about Salih." Cesur suggests they wait until tonight. Probably TK will come back. If not, we'll notify the police. Korhan adds, "Suhan must not know."

Someone [my guess is Hulya] dressed head to toe in black comes to where Cahide is staying [probably Casa Korludag, but I'm not sure]. S/he goes into what looks like Cahide's room [I think there was a photo of Korhan and Cahide on the wall, but again, I'm not sure]. S/he carefully puts something small into a silver clamshell-shaped case on the nightstand next to the double bed. S/he then leaves.

In the next scene, Cahide asks Hulya (who is now dressed normally) "What were you doing in my room?" Hulya replies, "Changing the sheets." Cahide says that's not part of her job, and from now on she should not go into that room. "From now on you can do your own laundry," says Hulya, handing her her dirty sheets.

Riza is at the pier. He is saying goodbye to Istanbul. He says he's carried out his mission, and now a new life awaits him. His phone rings. "What do you mean she's not dead? That's impossible! Did you do what I asked? ¡Maldita sea!"

Suhan overhears Sirin and Reyhan mention her father. Suhan comes out and asks what happened to her father.

Cesur is at the DA's office. One of the DA's employees comes in and reports that Turan is willing to cooperate. He told them that Riza is leaving tonight on a ship. That's all he said. The DA instructs him to notify the Coast Guard.

Suhan goes to Mihriban's house and bangs on the door. She wants to talk to Bulent. She asks him why he told her father everything. "Do you know what you caused? My father left the house and hasn't turned up." Bulent tells her that when he left TK, he was fine. "Did your fiance tell you what happened? He told your father everything."

Cesur returns and asks Sirin where Suhan is. An embarrassed Sirin tells him that Suhan overheard Sirin and her mother talking about TK, and she was furious. She went to see Bulent. At that moment, Suhan returns. Cesur asks her why she went to see Bulent. "I thought he was at fault," she replies. "Bulent said you told my father things you shouldn't have, and then he had a crisis." "It's true," admits Cesur. "I was blinded by rage."

"You were blinded by rage again," says a frustrated Suhan. "You knew his condition." Cesur tries to apologize. Suhan tells him, "Don't apologize. Just find him!" Cesur says he will.

The police report to the DA that they've found the boat that Riza was on, but it left an hour ago. The DA tells them to notify the Coast Guard.

Cesur is driving. Although he seems to be looking for TK as he drives, it's clear he has a destination in mind. It looks like the cliff where he and TK fought. Sure enough, when he gets there, we see a man seated at the edge of the rocks, with his back to us. The man's body seems to be shaking, as if he is cold, or perhaps he is crying. Cesur gets out of his truck and starts walking toward the man. He is almost there when the episode ends.

Juanita, wow, your recap of this messy mess of an episode was amazing . You managed to catch every bit of the crazy. Thank you !!

That was quite a hairdo and hippie dippie headdress that Sirin was wearing for the wedding.

Riza must have lots of money now because he is able to hire so many minions to carry out his wacky schemes of revenge. Watching those men in black kidnap Huly, Cahide, and Bulente after the other was pretty funny.

Caesar , like Tah, must be titanium . Guy has no fear. I, too, thought he was hit by the bullet when he opened the door. I didn't consider that he was wearing a Kevlar vest.

This episode could have been entitled " Notify the Coast Guard. " However , I think Riz is still around . Did he actually want to kill Suhan and was Bulent okay with that ? It appears Bu put whatever was in that vial he threw away into Suban's water bottle.ugh. The figure in black ( Huly) seemed to put a vial into that clamshell box . Is she framing Cahide for poisoning Suhan?

Great job on the recap, Juanita. Another ep with extreme edits, but you made sense of it. We are almost half way through Turkish ep 30 out of 32. I hate to think of the hack job they will do on these last two eps.

Bad translation: Riza asked if the baby died, not Suhan.

Riza and Hulya in the Turkish: At first Hulya shouts that she doesn’t care what happens with Suhan, Cesur and the baby. Riza replies, don’t say you don’t care. Don’t you want a guarantee for yourself? Don’t you want to punish some people?

In the flashbacks interspersed with Cesur carrying Suhan from the wedding, the captured Hulya tells Riza she can’t do this. I can’t kill an innocent baby! Riza asks her, what about your baby, Zafer? He’s innocent too. Do you want him to die? Hulya is shaken.

Hikmet and Riza run into a traffic stop on the way to the port. Riza starts speaking Russian and produces a fake Russian passport. Hikmet explains Riza is going back to Russia today. The cop looks confused but lets them go.

They brought Turan in for questioning and said they would cut him a deal if he snitched on Riza. He says he didn’t help Riza. He was forced to because he was threatened. He claimed not to know Riza’s whereabouts. The cop tells Turan he can think about it in prison for a while. Maybe it will help him remember something. Turan begins to feel the pressure and decides to cooperate.

Thank you for your recap Juanita! I didn’t watch last night and from the looks of it, it’s status quo with the endless editing. I almost wished that they had sliced and diced the earlier episodes, and left the ending ones intact. I won’t be able to watch tonight either, but hope to watch the ending. I will definitely watch the last episode on YouTube, as I will have a general idea about what’s taken place.

Much appreciated Juanita and novelera for your stellar recaps! Thank you dondi356 for the much needed explanations regarding missed scenes! I will not be partaking in the next TM novela, as I need a break from dizzying dizi’s and TM’s propensity toward ditching a novela if the ratings don’t pan out. I’m still upset over what they did to PDG 2, lol…….

Thanks very much, Susanlynn, dondi356, and carmella, for your helpful and supportive comments.

Susanlynn, good point about Riza's seemingly abundant cash. And I think I agree that Riza is likely not to be on the ship, since he knows that he still hasn't accomplished what he thought he had. As for the vial that Bulent threw away, that certainly suggests that he somehow poisoned the water bottle, but how? I don't think he was at Cesur's house. I like your idea of Hulya trying to frame Cahide, though what she put in the clamshell thingie looked flat to me, not roundish like a vial. But it was hard to tell.

Dondi356, MANY THANKS for coming to the rescue yet again! I'm particularly interested in knowing that Riza's target was the baby, not Suhan. Is it the Spanish dubbing that you were referring to as a bad translation? It's true that I didn't hear anyone mention a bebé. And I'm amazed and appalled at how much Telemundo again left out. I realize that Telemundo isn't alone in slicing and dicing. I used to watch Univisión, and at times it too made a mess of a TN through excessive and inappropriate cuts and rearrangements. But it's possible that Telemundo is even worse these days. Oh well....

Carmella, I've enjoyed your wonderful comments all through this dizi. I hope you'll be back after taking a break. I know you expressed doubts about La Reina del Sur 3, but I would encourage you to give it a try. I am a passionate fan of seasons 1 and 2. I can think of no other novella or dizi that comes close to being as good.

Amor-val

Juanita, the Turkish to Spanish translation was bad, yours was fine. Sorry, I should have been clear on that.

Heavy edits in the final eps are so frustrating. This is when detail is most important and appreciated, especially in a show like Amor Valiente.

I can’t excuse Telemundo, but the Turks do it too when they are in a hurry to wrap up a dizi. Choppy episodes, magical transports from here to there, off camera happenings with brief explanations, dropped storylines, disappearing characters, etc.

amor-val

Thanks so much, Juanita, for the excellent episode. I would add that I think Riza sent Cesur to "the house where Suhan's mother spent her youth".

I am SO tired of Riza. This might as well be a supernatural dizi with his doing all these awful things so well. I was enjoying the dizi more before they made him the main villain. The things he does and the unending supply of cash he has just don't make sense.

I will be royally pissed if Cahide gets a happy ending with Korhan and the baby. They just HAVE to have her revealed to Korhan in all her complete awfulness. Right now, even though he said he planned to divorce her, he seems to tolerate her presence. Let's sum up: first she puts barbed wire under Suhan's saddle. Then she schemes with a grifter and sometimes prostitute to carry the Korludag heir. She treats Korhan like a dog, accusing him of being unfaithful thanks to the setup and photo, just so he won't touch her belly and find nothing alive. There's a bunch of sneaky stuff I can't remember. And...the capper...she manages to get an abortifacient into Suhan's water bottle to abort Korhan's nephew or niece.

And Bulent! He's already lost Banu. Can they show his mother kicking him to the curb, please!

From what I heard from Riza's end of that phone call, I thought the outrage was because Cesur hadn't been killed by his Rube Goldberg firing gun. Another totally unbelievable accomplishment by the guy. Others seem to think he was upset Suhan hadn't lost Cesur's baby.

And thanks once again, dondi, for giving us what Telemundo decided we didn't need to know!

amor-val

Thanks very much, novelera, for your helpful and on-target comments. I too have had it with Riza. At first, I was interested and amused to see all the schemes he could concoct. But enough already! His endless array of schemes and supply of cash undermine the story.

You do a great job of recounting the many reasons Cahide does NOT deserve a happily-ever-after ending. Amen!

As for Riza's phone call, dondi356 provided an account of the Turkish, in which it apparently is clear that Riza was disappointed that the baby wasn't killed. The Spanish dubbing was simply not accurate.

I've enjoyed this dizi much more than Hercai, but I'm glad it's coming to an end.

amor-val

A big knock against this dizi was that it became the Ridiculous Riza show. They lured a good actor for the role, the writers changed, and that's what they went with.

Yes, Riza's phone call was about Suhan's baby. Riza saw for himself that Cesur survived the "Rube Goldberg" (lol) set up. He was spying on the house from a distance with binoculars. And yes, he wasn't happy about that either. His goal was to destroy any chance of Suhan and Cesur's happiness before he left Turkey.

I'm with you, novelera, I really hate Cahide. Lol, Riza told he admires her ability for intrigue. She's still around only because she has Korhan's baby.

Juanita, one of the good things about this dizi is it is only 32 Turkish eps. They knew when to quit. Unlike that Midyat dizi.

Amor val

Novelera, ha..Rube Goldberg ...perfect . Riza is written as a jack of all trades who is everywhere all the time . I am very tired of looking at his stone cold face. Ugh. He's starting to make Tah look good by comparison, but the original plot centered around Tah as the big bad dad and those paintings and fires and deaths of Cesar's family members . Will we get any closure on that original storyline ?

Dondi, so new writers changed horses midstream???? We had a very good outcome when this happened in La Hija. Here...nope.

I like this show much better than Hercai with Meeeeran 's constant hissyfits .

I am going to have dizi withdrawal when this show ends, so I may have to find something . I gave up on the Netflix one with Beren Saat even though I loved her in Fatmagul.

Amor Val

I couldn’t agree more with you all about Riza’s character……enough is enough, and just looking at him gives me those exhaustive cringes…… he makes me want to change the channel…..on YouTube I ffw his scenes…… Again, they should’ve went back to the initial premise of this dizi which was Mean daddy stealing Cesur’s inheritance and being involved in his dad’s murder and stealing his paintings…..guess that’s what happens when you change writers……
