Woof! A new look for Paulina and I definitely approve! But it's wasted on Sebastián.
Also, it's a wonder that Sebastián hasn't killed Ignacio... yet.

A truly wonderful scene at the pizza place, especially with Katya and Diego fighting outside as a backdrop through the window. Things had started out so good for Brandon, but they went quickly downhill after Andrea ripped into him. And after everyone else left poor Brandon looked like a cornered rat when confronted by the two guys who wanted the check paid.

I don't get it. Why is René being so cruel to Zulema?

Lots of tension building up now, and big trouble brewing. Katya now knows that her mother and Gonzalo had been a couple at one point, and she has been wondering why Andrea was so down on Brandon... suspicions forming? Paulina interrupted Tyler and Erika at a crucial moment and they are all a bit upset.
Diego is upset with himself, with Sebastián, and with Katya; Sofía and Mario are upset with each other; Isis is angry with Boni, and poor Boni is clueless as to why.

I should be ashamed of myself, everybody is so upset, enough that a little more and smoke will start coming out their ears.
And here I am, enjoying every bit of it.

OT/Caray Caray's Birthday

I'm only here for about 6 months, but I already LOVE this blog! The recaps are always well-written, the comments are spot on and the community is awesome! I come here more than 3 times a day (daily, of course) and I'm so happy I found this blog!
After a bit of searching, I found that the oldest post in here is in April 4, 2006. So I was thinking, should we make April 4th Caray Caray's birthday? This wonderful blog deserves one for sure.
Fun fact: It's also, coincidentally, a day before my birthday!
Fun Fact Número 2: Caray Caray is already 16 years old!

Andy, Judy is "hanging in there" (here precise words :-) I'm sure she is anxious to get back since she indicated "(I) ...miss those happy Caray Caray days." Keep sending those good vibes, thoughts and prayers her way!

Weirdo, I started five years ago and fell in love with this blog too. The recaps are always top notch no matter how brief or lengthy they are; the comments are amazingly insightful and entertaining; and the community has become more of a family to me. When I first started, I was completely hooked and have been ever since.

Yes, on April 4, 2006, Melinama, our gracious (original) blog mom posted the first page where she made the first plea for recappers. April 4th seems the perfect day for Caray's birthday. Can't believe it took me 11 years to find such a wonderful place!

I found this blog randomly, I was searching for something about La Patrona and this popped up. It's actually quite ridiculous, when I was searching for something similar to the theme of the blog, it DID NOT pop up. Huh?

Honestly, I wish I had discovered this blog sooner too. It's perfect.
 

Mexicana. Hi, Andy! Rene is being cruel to Zulema because he's a jerk. Now Katya knows that Andrea and Gonzalo were a couple years earlier. Will she find out that Gonzalo is her father or are the writers just teasing us, as is their wont? Loved Viiyeri's "Gordzalo!" I think Bonifacio deserves to suffer a bit, but I hope Isis finds out the truth that he was just talking to Luis on the phone soon.

I missed the first ten minutes because the Univision App froze on me. Have any of you used the Univision app that you have to pay $10.00 bucks for?

Anyhoo, here's a quick recap:

Gabino's drunk butt tells Isaura more than she needs to know about Casilda and her mother, yes, everything Alejandra has belongs to Casilda, before her death Casilda's mother asked Alejandra to care for Casilda, he does not understand why Alejandra treats Casilda so poorly and he wants to go to Casilda and reveal the truth, he's so drunk he can't even get up, Isaura tells him now is not the time to tell Casilda the truth, the poor girl would probably have a heart attack if she's told everything before she's ready. Pilar interrupts Gabino and Isaura and Isaura makes her believe that she slept with Gabino, later Alejandra orders Isaura to make Gabino her number one client, which is really crappy when you consider the fact that Pilar is her life long best friend. Bruja.

Casilda thinks she's pregnant and Lucia tells her that she will buy her a pregnancy test. Casilda can't wait that long and buys and takes the test, she calls Lucia and tells her she's not pregnant.

Michelle tells her friend Nestor that she's getting married, Nestor questions why she would marry Alfredo and Michelle tells him it's because she loves him, Nestor says he can tell she does not love Alfredo and I don't care, those two deserve each other.

Paulina confesses to Fernando that she loves him, she's not going to get in the way of what he has with Lucia because she recognizes that he loves her but she had to let him know. paulina then goes to Lucia and tells her that Fernando loves her and that Roxana is a liar that lies, she urges Lucia to listen to the recordings that Fernando sent her and then tells Lucia that she loves Fernando and that she's telling her all this because it's true and because she knows Fernando loves her (Lucia). Paulina and pilar might be the only really good people in this novela. Paulina's speech leads to Lucia finally listening to the recordings of Roxana being a sexual harassment panda, Lucia realizes that Fernando was telling the truth.
 

Mujer De Nadie 27 Parte 2

Fernando is with his mom, she asks about his relationship with Roxana and he spills the beans, he tells her they had an affair but that he did not know she was married nor did he know that his new business partner was her husband, he tells his mom that he is in the process of resolving the issue. Marta tells him that she overheard Carlos and Roxana making plans to meet.

I apologize for missing the part of the episode where Carlos and Roxana meet because my boyfriend who is a political junkie kept interrupting me to share or make me watch footage of the Trump "raid".

Fernando goes to the office, he is leaving the partnership he has with Diego and Rafael empty handed. Rafael asks what would happen if he and Diego don't buy him out and Fernando tells him that he would be forced to sell to whomever offered a good price.

Rafael tells Diego that Paulina is in love with Fernando.

Lucia goes to see Roxana, while there she tells Rafael that Roxana continues to chase after Fernando and she tells Roxana that she can continue to try a thousand times to get back with fernando but she's going to fail. After Lucia leaves Rafael tells her that their plan backfired and now Lucia and Fernando are closer than ever, they might have lost the battle but not the war.

Lucia goes to Fernandos apartment and apologizes for not believing him, I'm guessing they are in for a romantic night.

OT...Weirdo and Chickie, yes I have been here since the beginning . I surfed into "Alborado" on Univision and saw guaypo Fernando Colunga with long hair,high boots, in period costume . I didn't understand a word of Spanish , so I went online and found Melanama's (Jane's) site "Pratie Place " where she was translating the show into English. Other people started to help her recap and more people showed up, so she created " Caray Caray ." Many of the patio peeps ( forget who coined this term) have been here for a long time ...including Judyb , Diana, Jarifa, Niecie, Urban , Paloma, and others .We have shared a lot of laughter and snark , but we have also shared problems, health issues, and losses. We watched these telenovelas together and commented in them as our lives were unfolding . Caray became an oasis from daily life , changing times, and personal highs and lows and in betweens. People come and go ...some of them are truly gone from us ...Dr. Carlos, Anita, Madeline . Some return after awhile . Some , perhaps, may be lurking and just not commenting .


OT...Judy ...miss you and your wonderful, wise, witty comments . You will never know how much your kind , thoughtful comments have meant to me through the years ...nunca jamais .

René is a bit of a mystery to me. Yeah, sometimes he is an incredible jerk and worse, and will even make a public display of it, but other times he seems not so bad.

I won't go so far as to say he seems a really nice guy, just not terrible much of the time.

Not quite a ringing testimonial, is it?

Bonifacio is one of the funniest characters in this telenovela, and he was hilarious trying to tell Isis that he was "Dalila" on the phone and explaining all. In some ways he and Isis are perhaps the cutest couple on the show in a show loaded with "cute" couples.
All the others are fun and often funny, especially Luis and Marcia, but there is as yet a lot of unresolved drama with all these other couples.

I very much liked the way that Gonzalo was saying goodbye to Tyler, he was very nice and decent about it. But now we will see what he wants to do with the knowledge that Andrea is running a scam. I have to feel for poor Andrea, every episode brings a new problem for her, and now she has to deal with Gonzalo, and deal with Katya, and deal with Gonzalo and Katya   :-)

Mujer de Nadie, Capítulo 28, Martes, August 9, 2022 - Parte 1/7

Lucía PROPOSES to Fer and he accepts. They're both very happy and he tells her to wait. Fer comes back and proposes to her with a proper ring and everything. He tells her that he bought the ring in Monterrey and waited for her to come back. She obviously accepts (the proposal) and Fer puts the ring on her finger. Lucía is crying from happiness, they kiss and take off their clothes.

Claudia goes to Diego's office to bring him some food. Diego says that he needs time and Claudia gets angry because she thinks it's because of her work. Diego tells her that he's having a hard time at work, but Claudia grabs the food and leaves. (And that's why Claudia is my favourite character. She GRABBED THE FOOD and then left. You go girl!)

As she's leaving, she runs into Paulina, who asks if she remembers her and says "you are dating my brother, right?" (in a happy tone). Claudia tells her that she has things to do, but Paulina wants to talk to her.

Gertrudis asks Heriberto what he's doing. He says that he's removing the cameras that caught him talking to Jacobo (and making him sign) about the house. He's sure that it was Gertrudis, who says that it wasn't her, but it's obvious that it is. She tells him to not forget who has the power here and to return the house to Lucía if he doesn't want to go in jail. She smiles and leaves.

Claudia and Paulina are in a cafeteria, talking. Claudia says that she's in love with Diego, but there are conflicts in their relationship because of what she is. Paulina tells her that she's a beautiful girl who studies, but Claudia insists that she's not who Paulina thinks she is. Paulina asks her "then, who are you?".

Isaura is still shocked from what Gabino told her (that Ale stole Casi's fortune/inheritance) and says "and nobody blamed her?" Gab says that the most important and powerful people are in this club and Alejandra knows their secrets, so nobody blamed her for stealing from Casi's mom. He adds that it's a secret, Isaura shouldn't tell anyone, because if this comes out, Pilar is going to pay and he wants to take care of her. Isaura says that she'll keep it a secret just as Pilar gets in and asks them "what secret?" Isa says "if I tell you, it won't be a secret" and I think adds something about lovers' stuff(!!!) while she's trying to touch Gab. Pilar gets angry and leaves.
 

Mujer de Nadie, Capítulo 28, Martes, August 9, 2022 - Parte 2/7

Paulina asks Claudia what she meant previously. Claudia's phone starts ringing and she picks it up. It's from the hospital, her mom got worse. She leaves, Paulina leaves some money on the table and goes with her.

Ale is with Leonardo, they're talking about Claudia and they mention the university and her sick mother. Ale says that she (Claudia) wants to live her pathetic love story with Diego, but she wants her money. Leonardo reassures her about Claudia. Ale insists that she wants her money and Claudia has to continue working here. Leo nods.

Remember when Lucía and Fer were taking off their clothes? Well, let's just say that they continue what they started...

Now it's the next day. Lucía wakes up, Fer is already up and is holding a red rose in his hand and says he made breakfast. They talk a bit, FF-->

Claudia is crying and walking with Paulina (in the hospital). Diego asks her what happened and tells him that her mom's DEAD! Paulina says that if she (Claudia) wants to talk to someone, she has her. Claudia thanks her and Paulina leaves. Diego asks about his sister being with Claudia at the hospital and Claudia explains.

Fer escorts Lucía to the table where he has made delicious-looking breakfast and they both sit down. They talk about the date to the wedding, Fer wants it to be in two weeks! He wants something small, family and very few other people only. Lucía at first says that it will take a while to plan everything, but then says that they could get married in a week. Fer tells her that he doesn't know how his mom will take it, because Michelle is getting married too. Lucía is impactada and says that she will regret it the moment she says "sí". They change the subject, Lucía says that she wants them to keep their promise and never lie to each other e.t.c. Fer says yes, of course and they kiss.

Lucía is now properly dressed and goes to the massive dining room where Ale is. The moment Ale hears she's engaged, she loses her smile. She tells her to think about it, she's too young and has to live her life. Lucía says that she will, just by Fer's side. Isaura comes down and jokingly tells Ale that she'll be a grandma soon (LOLOL!) If looks could kill, Isaura would have died on the spot.
 

Mujer de Nadie, Capítulo 28, Martes, August 9, 2022 - Parte 3/7

Lucía tells her that there will be a trial about her father's house and that she wants her to testify as a witness. Isa, after asking her to tell her what to say there, agrees, with a terrified/oh no look. Lucía wants to know where Casi is to tell her the news, Ale says "where she always is" and Lucía leaves.

Meanwhile, Fer is at his house and tells his mom and two siblings the great (for him and he acknowledges it) news; he's getting married with Lucía. Marta is impactada, Michelle starts being Michelle and keeps insulting Lucía and Carlos is just standing there. Michelle says that he'll make the worst mistake of his life if he marries Lucía. Again, this was said by MICHELLE, who keeps making awful mistakes regarding to Alfredo. Fer tells her about Alfredo, she defends him (Alf) as always and says that if he marries Lucía, he can't count on her. Fer says that they keep pushing him away from them because of the way they treat Lucía and leaves.

Lucía goes to see Casi and they start jumping up and down. Casi is still feeling awful and Lucía asks her if she's sure the pregnancy test came back negative. Casi confirms it, but the Patio knows that it's going to be positive (kudos to Susanlynn, who was the one who had the theory). Casi wants to be the madrina, because she'll never get a wedding of her own. Lucía tells her that she will.

Claudia is with Diego when Leonardo comes. Diego gets angry and tells him that Claudia will not go back to that place. Leo says that she owns a lot of money, so either she pays the debt or she keeps working. Diego tells him to respect her pain and Claudia says that her mom's dead and that she wants to arrange the funeral. Leo says "I'm sorry" in the most "I don't care" way he could have possibly done it. But business is business and he wants the money. Diego says that he'll pay and Leo agrees, right after the funeral, at the club. If he doesn't show up, he'll bring the documents to his company. He leaves.

Heriberto is talking with Juventino on the phone. At first I thought that the creepy statue in their house was a person, lol. Anyway, Heri learns that Lucía is accusing him of Jacobo's death and asks Juventino to help him. He refuses, Heri tries to persuade him, but he doesn't change his mind.
 

Mujer de Nadie, Capítulo 28, Martes, August 9, 2022 - Parte 4/7

Lucía is hugging her friend Toña, she must have told her about the marriage. She assures her that nothing is going to change, she is still going to work e.t.c. The only thing that will change is that she and Fer will be going back to San Jacinto because of a business plan that he has. (I don't think it's a good idea. Everyone there has seen the pictures the slimeball Alfredo took.) Also, Toña is going to be a madrina too.

Isaura is at Heri's club (not a good idea if you're going to testify against him a few days later, just saying). She wants to give him some jewelry instead of money to play. He accepts, with one condition; he asks her to find out who will testify against him! (Little did you know...) Isaura says something about the most beautiful woman in town (LOL) and Heri understands that she knows. Isaura tells him to let her play first and then they'll talk. He accepts (?).

Pilar goes to Lucía's talavera and congratulates her, Ale told her some things about the wedding. Lucía asks her if she and Gabino want to be the padrinos for the ceremony and Pilar tells her that she and Gab broke up, things don't always end up how we expect them to, so the wedding is also canceled. Lucía says she's sorry and Pilar changes the subject to Lucía's marriage again. When Lucía asks her what Ale said about this, Pilar says that she's sure she'll support her. Lucía says that she's getting married with or without her support.

Fer is at Roxana's. He tells her that he'll SELL basically his share of the company (!!!) so he can pay back Roxana to leave them alone, them being him and his brother. Rox says that they can have again what they had previously and Fer tells her that the only thing the had was sex. He tells her that he loves Lucía and that he'll marry Lucía too. (WHY, WHY WHY did he tell her? She's going to make their life even more miserable than sge already makes it!) Rox freaks out and Rafael comes.

Fer says that he came here to make things clear, he wants nothing to do with Rox and Raf. When Rox tells him about Fer's marriage, he tells him "felicidades" and almost sends Rox to hospital with a stroke. Fer leaves and Rox starts screaming at him that they lost the war and he won't have Lucía too. Raf tells her that he has a plan to separate them (oh no), this is Rox's last chance. If she fails, she will lose him and all the privileges she has now. He kisses her. Rox still looks like she's having a stroke.
 

Mujer de Nadie, Capítulo 28, Martes, August 9, 2022 - Parte 5/7

Lucía is talking with Pasqual on the phone about the talavera, the materials needed e.t.c. Toña comes and starts to talk to Lucía about the church. Lucía's lawyer comes and asks her if Gertrudis confessed that it was her who sent the video. She says that every time she calls Gert (from different phone numbers), she hangs up and she has blocked her. The lawyer says that the fastest way to get her house back is to withdraw her lawsuit or whatever she filed against Heri! Lucía (who has to decide now) tells the lawyer that she wants her house back, but she wants Heri to pay more.

Paulina is unfortunately with Diego. Like any normal sane person would do, he screams at her for wanting to meet Claudia. After some bit of unimportant dialogue, she tells him that she's thinking of leaving the house. Diego gets upset and tells her that he can't leave without her permission and pushes half the documents she's working on off the table. Paulina says that she doesn't need his permission and that if he hits her AGAIN (so we were right when we said, many episodes ago, that he was the one who hit her!), she'll call the police. Diego FIRES her from the company and she says that she won't beg him, but he has to pay her all the money she deserves according to the law. Diego finally shuts up.

Fer is with Lucía at a restaurant. He tells her that he went to Rox's. After a bit of blah blah blah, Lucía says that she's thinking of selling the workshop, but Fer says no, her talavera is going very well. He then asks her in what restaurant does she want him to ask for her hand. Lucía tells him that Ale wants it to be in her house and Fer says "está bien" about 300 times, so I assume he's ok with it? He did say it wasn't how he planned it, but ok.

Isaura counts her money when Pedro and his Policía Municipal car come. They have a boring conversation about how she shouldn't mess with Gert and how he became Gert's cat and Pedro and his car leave. Isaura spots Alfredo walking and she tells him she has news about Lucía. Alfie crosses the road and unfortunately, no cars hit him. Isaura says that if he wants info, he was to pay her. He does and she tells him Lucía is going to marry Fer. She leaves. Alfredo looks like someone told him Christmas is cancelled.
 

Mujer de Nadie, Capítulo 28, Martes, August 9, 2022 - Parte 6/7

Michelle is looking for wedding-stuff on her phone and tells that to Alfredo, who says that maybe it's better if they don't get married in 6 months, it's better to take their time. After a boring dialogue of Alfie saying why he thinks they should wait and why Michelle doesn't, she finally realizes that all this is happening because Lucía is getting married. Alfredo tells her to leave him alone. She leaves, angry. (Girl, BREAK UP!)

Lucía and Fer say how excited they are about their marriage. Fer gets up and says to THE WHOLE RESTAURANT that he and the beautiful woman over there are getting married! Everyone applauds them and they hug and kiss.

Michelle goes home. Alfredo, I assume, has sent a gigantic bouquet of flowers with a card. Michelle tells her mom that Alfredo wants more time for the marriage and Marta says that she should think about it more too, it's something important. She tries to get Michelle to tell her what's going on, but after reading the card for about an hour, she just doesn't talk. Marta informs her that Fer is going to ask for Lucía's hand at Lucía's mom's (Ale's) house and Michelle keeps saying that she wont go. (Lol imagine if Ale says no to Fer when he asks her for Lucía's hand... XD)

Lucía tells Ale their (hers and Fer's) plans. They are going to San Jacinto and Fer is going to start a business, she has the talavera e.t.c. She says that she'll visit Ale often. Ale says something about Lucía's inheritance that I didn't catch and Lucía tells her that she's independent and can arrange a wedding and run a business on her own.

Isaura has cut a hole on her bed's mattress and now stuffs all the money that she won (during that boring conversation with Pedro, she said she was lucky today) inside. She then covers it up and says "mi dinerito", if I'm not mistaken, lol.

Lucía says "it turned out very well" and we see Casi with a new haircut. Lucía tells her that she's pretty as always and Casi asks her "what am I going to do without you?" She says that Casi will continue be pretty e.t.c. and besides, they'll see each other every day. Isaura comes and says that Casi is pretty, that they look like sisters and that she'll help with dinner. When she leaves, I can just hear the old Windows operating system start sound for both Casi and Lucía. They both laugh and Casi says that she probably wants something.
 

Mujer de Nadie, Capítulo 28, Martes, August 9, 2022 - Parte 7/7

Alfredo says to Michelle that buying her flowers was the least he could do to show her how much he loves her. She tells him that love can't be bought and he quickly changes the subject; where does she want to go, to dinner, or to see a movie? She wants to stay home and he asks her where the rest of her family is. Michelle doesn't know where Carlos is and Fer went with her mom to Lucía's house to ask for her hand. Alfredo asks her if she's going and she says no, but looks sceptical. (Why do I have a feeling that she'll go with maldito Alfredo?)

Lucía, Fer, Ale, Leonardo, Pilar, Isaura, Casilda and Toña are in Ale's house. Fer starts talking about Lucía and him uniting their lives e.t.c., when Michelle comes with Alfredo (I KNEW IT!) She says that she couldn't miss something that important and then sees Ale and Leo and almost has a stroke. She remembers both of them because of that stupid idea that she had to work to the club to make money for Alfredo. Everyone sees that something bad is going on and Ale introduces herself as Lucía's mom, so now Michelle knows... Oh no...

And with everyone's worried looks and Michelle frozen as if she's having a stroke, we have the Fin del Capítulo.

I remember Anita from some older posts that I read about a month ago... What happened to her?
I have seen Dr. Carlos' name somewhere and everyone was saying RIP, so I know what happened to him....
As for Madeline, I don't remember her at all. I haven't seen her in past posts.

Fernando and Lucia should just elope but with 17 more episodes left there are 16 more opportunities for Rafael and Roxana to cause trouble for them. Not to mention Alejandra's obvious objections and Marta's. This also doesn't exclude trouble from other sources.

Michelle continues to be an idiot about Alfredo. Carlos is equally idiotic about Roxana.

If Casilda finally gets that dinero she will need protection from fortune hunters.

Lucia has still not worn the red dress in the title sequence. Is that a red herring or a prediction of her fate?

Urban, I agree with your whole comment. I was questioning the red dress too. Also, have we seen the black dress from the intro song? Since I'm not watching every episode, I mostly catch up with Mujer with the Patio's splendid recaps. How much suffering can Lucía handle?
 

Mexicana. Something tells me that Katya will keep pursuing her investigation until she finds out the truth about Gonzalo's being her father--despite all of Andrea's denials. Her boyfriend several years before Katya was born, indeed. Gonzalo lucked out with his conversation with Tyler. Now he knows the true nature of Andrea's scam and is going to benefit. I hope Helena isn't having a recurrence of cancer. And Bonifacio's and Isis's reconciliation was hilariously cute! But she's right that he and Luis are a couple of idiots.

All these "couples" and non-couples are so funny. Mario tells Gladys that he and Sofía will get back together and take care of Melody. Poor Gladys gets depressed thinking she's losing Mario so she goes clothes shopping, which is her answer to any crisis.

Meanwhile Sofía is playing nice with Mario for Tyler's benefit, but when Tyler's not looking she makes faces at Mario, even giving him a little kick at one point. I just had to take a second look at Bonifacio's being so embarrassed confessing to Isis that he was being "Dalila" to help Luis, and then their making up.

"But she's right that he and Luis are a couple of idiots." No argument from me!

I thought of Anita last night when I went to see La Fille du Regiment. Her favorite tenor was the star.

She used to come to New York for a few days each year to go to the Met. I went with her a couple of times and once we saw my favorite tenor in Parsifal.

The good ones go too soon.

OT....urban, yes, Anita, was a special soul. She used to email me from time to time. She was ingelligent and had a kind heart and a good sense of humor . The world needs more Anitas. I miss her voice here at Caray.
