The episode opens with Bebita not going through with her escape plan. The hypnosis session with the psychiatrist has apparently made her have flashbacks to the scene of what she's been told was her suicide attempt.
She sees that Epifanio was involved. She apologizes, saying she got lost in the hallway, and she returns to the TV show, putting on a big smile. Susana, Danilo, and General Garrido's young aide are mystified. The General says that something must have happened to make her go back.
In Peru, a battered Matos steps outside the building where he'd been kept prisoner. He calls Ana and tells her he'd been kidnapped. He doesn't know who the people are, but Sofia was involved. He tells Ana he knocked Sofia out with a stick and escaped. He looks around, recognizes a cathedral, and tells Ana he's in San Blas. He gives her the address of the place where he'd been held. He tells her to come with Cruz and the vigilantes, but he has to go back. "These people have information that may help Rubén." He goes back inside, sees that Sofia is still lying unconscious on the floor. He takes out his phone and calls Rubén. Just as he starts talking to Rubén, he's attacked by Mateo. The two of them fight. Mateo manages to get the gun. He points it at Matos and shoots! Whether intentionally or by accident, he doesn't hit him. However, he then slams the gun against Matos' head, knocking him out. He then looks frantically for Sofia, berating himself for leaving her alone. He finds her still lying on the ground, alive but in pain. He tells her they have to leave right away, Matos has probably called for help.
Eloy has left Oleg and Teresa alone for a few mnutes. Teresa asks Oleg, "What's your problem with me? I have a right to know." He tells her what we all have known for a while: "My feeling for you have changed. I don't love you as a friend any more. I've been denying it for a long time, perhaps so I wouldn't have to face what was going on with me and with my family.. When Yulia accused me of focusing only on you, I denied it. I thought it was absurd that she'd insist what we had was anything but friendship." Teresa asks him when he finally realized that he felt differently toward her. He tells her it was the day they got her out of prison and couldn't revive her. "I thought we had lost you." Teresa asks, "Why didn't you tell me?" Oleg replies, "I thought it would ruin our friendship. Or perhaps I wanted you to notice--as everyone else apparently did." Teresa tells him, "You're the most important person in my life, next to my daughter. I don't want to lose you."
Teresa asks him what he wants. He tells her it's easier for him to tell her what he doesn't want. "I don't want to be the shoulder you cry on. I don't want to be the one you come to to complain about other men.. I'm not a martyr." At this point, Eloy returns and tells them that Mr. Rubén will not meet them here. "Prepare yourselves for a long walk."
Bebita talks with Susana and Danilo after the TV show is over. Susana says that Bebita's leaving with her son would have been a punishment for Epifanio. Bebita says no, "Epifanio cares about no one, not even his own son. All he cares about is his power as president and his ability to stand on other people." She continues, "Epifanio has to pay for what he did to me, to my father, and to my brother. And I'm going to make sure of it!"
Back in Peru, Ana comes to San Blas with the police. She knocks on the door, calling for Bernardo (Matos). When there's no answer, she tells the police to break down the door. Mateo and Sofia are still inside. They manage to escape from a second-floor window, just as a policeman is entering the room, gun drawn. He runs to the window and spots Sofia and Mateo as they turn the corner and disappear from his view.
The scene shifts to Faustino and Paloma. They have found the tavern that matches the one in the photo they have (of Rubén and his son Armando, I think). Faustino asks several men whether they recognize the people in the photo. He's looking for them because the boy in the photo knocked up his sister (Paloma) and now won't answer her phone calls.
Julieta and Gallardo are looking at the documents Julieta found in Teresa and Pablo's hotel room, including copies of their passports (and Fedor's too, I think). They decide not to tell Mortati about this. He can't keep a secret. Julieta tells Gallardo to call up his cop friend. Gallardo says he won't be free. Julieta says she'll get the money.
In San Blas, Ana comes upon Matos unconscious on the floor. The cop who saw Mateo and Sofia escape rushes in to let the others know. The police all rush out, while Ana stays with Matos. Mateo and Sofia race through the streets, knocking over anyone in their way. The police are in pursuit. Mateo and Sofia grab something to throw over their heads and shoulders, changing their appearance. They then join a parade, and they succeed in eluding the police.
My brain has gone on strike, and I can't identify a man with very straight, short dark hair who is talking on the phone. I know I've seen him before, but.... He says something about that being less work, and no one leaves here. Is he planning to kill someone?
The scene shifts to Batman and Anton, who have been tied up (by Eloy's men?) (Is the mystery man in the previous paragraph one of Eloy's men?).
We're back again with Teresa, Oleg, and Eloy, treking through the forest. Eloy speaks to Rubén on the phone. Rubén tells him something that interests and perhaps surprises Eloy, though he also says "I had a feeling." This doesn't sound good for Oleg and Teresa (not to mention Batman and Anton). Eloy stops, picks up a rock, and asks "Werner" whether this is a fossil. Werner/Oleg says he'd have to analyze it. Eloy smashes the rock on Oleg's head. Eloy tells Oleg, "I'm more of an archaeologist than you are. And I doubt that you (turning to Teresa) are a millionaire.".
Meanwhile, Faustino has found someone who seems to know who the people in the photo are. He tells Faustino that they're scum, and they did the same thing to his sister (I think). Faustino asks for more info, telling the guy that there would be cash in it for him. The guy tells Faustino that the man is here at the tavern most nights. The guy says "I don't mess with those kinds of people. The other man in the photo is the guy's father." Paloma gives the informant some money as thanks for the info. He seems very pleased.
Faustino calls Sofia. With much embarrassment, she tells him that Matos escaped. Mateo takes the phone from Sofia. He asks Faustino what to do with the gun. Faustino tells him to clean the gun and throw it away. "You don't want to be caught with the gun." He also tells Mateo that they need to find a way to get to Lima.
A techie meets with Julieta and Gallardo. He tells them Mortati's phone was probably cloned. He also says he could run the copied passport photos through a data base. It would cost about $500. He adds, "But first I want to know who these people are." [Uh oh] Julieta leaves and says Gallardo will fill him in.
Oleg, Teresa, and Eloy finally get to a building. Teresa asks whether Rubén is here. Eloy tells her he's not answering any of her questions. It's an ominous-looking building, with chains and chairs. Eloy says, "If you know how to pray, you should try it now." Teresa is getting very worried. Oleg tells her not to jump to conclusions.
Mateo says that growing up as he did, he has used guns and knives, but he never killed someone. As they're talking, they're walking along the road. A truck comes along. They flag it down. Mateo says that they were robbed, they have no money, no phones. They need to get to Lima, where they have friends. The driver says he's not going to Lima. Mateo says OK, take us as far as you can. The driver agrees, but says they'll have to travel in the back, with the cargo. They agree.
Fedor and Sheila are talking. Fedor tells her she can get an abortion in Argentina during the first 14 weeks. Sheila isn't sure when she became pregnant. With a smile on her face, she mentions several possible times. She thinks she's about 11 weeks pregnant. Suddenly there's a knock on the door. It's Lorenzo and Julieta. They're looking for "Elena and Felipe." They're told they're not here. They come in. It looks like they realize that no one is who they say they are.
Salvo is sitting with Sami. Pablo is present as well. Sami wants to know whether Elena is really a terrific poker player. He then realizes that Elena isn't around. "You let Elena go to Rubén?" he asks Pablo. "The man's a butcher! I hope my money doesn't depend on Elena. I'll never get it."
Teresa is growing increasingly nervous. "What if we don't get out? This is our end." Oleg tries to calm her. She tells him she has always admired his confidence. She adds, "Since they told me Guero was dead, I haven't stopped running and hiding." Oleg reminds her, "We've made it out of situations worse than this. I promise you we'll get out, if only to get back at Eloy for hitting me." Rubén comes in, with several men. "You lied to me," he tells Oleg. "I can accept that. Too bad you'll never get a chance to tell anyone. But there's one thing I don't understand. You killed my men. You sneak into my camp. You pretend you're an archaeologist. And then you bring me this woman. What is it you want? Why go to all this trouble? You'd better tell me everything, from A to Z, because I don't like being treated like an idiot." And with that, the episode ends.
Juanita, thanks a bunch. Super recap. I was completely in the dark about what Faustino and Paloma were up to. Gracias, you made it clear.
I feel for Sofia having to let Faustino know they let Matos get away. I'm not sure if they think he's dead or not.
I'm sure the guy with the very short hair on the phone is one of Eloy's men. He pockets four phones, likely the ones taken from Teresa, Oleg, Batman, and Anton. So he's fine with some new instruction for him because it makes for less work. Nothing said explicitly about killing, but I too wonder.
Oleg finally has The Talk with Teresa. I felt awkward for both of them.
I've been weary of Bebita, but now it seems she will come out fighting against Epifanio from within the palace. Looking forward to seeing this.
thanks so much Juanita !!!
on the escape Sofia mentioned the money, nope, forget it.
they seem to be touchy about having guns in this season, and I think Faustino told Mateos not to take the bus. Interesting that Mateos has stepped up.
I think the tech said cloned phones run hot, that's how he knew, also there was something about not being able to run copies of passports instead of the real ones, so he was going to try facial recognition.
I think Epi wants to be buddies with Rubén, so things may work out, I can see the two drinking whiskey and talking evil.
Thanks so much, Juanita. Again, you got so many of the details that escaped me. Terrific recap!
I really do struggle with Faustino's accent. Speaking of striking brains, I know I watched Cafe con Aroma de Mujer on Telemundo, but I have no memory of whether it was recapped here. The reason I bring it up is that Lincoln Palomeque was the "other man" (a nice one) in that novela and he did NOT speak with a paisa accent. So I have a hunch he's putting that one on for Faustino. I totally did not get the part about looking for the place in the photo. But I did recognize the picture Oleg took inside the tent at the "camp".
Yes, that scene with Oleg and Teresa was long overdue. All the scenes with these two are well done by both actors. It's sort of surprising that Teresa, usually so astute, hasn't realized it without his telling her.
As I said in my mini-cap on Thursday, they've rounded up all the evil looking guys in Sudamerica. Rubén is right up there with the best (worst?) of them. I'm confident Teresa and Oleg will get out of this, but it's not going to be easy. And what can they possibly offer him in return for his key? Or does he have the DEA documents they're looking for; and, when they present two keys, he'll use the third to give them the stuff. This seems hard to believe possible. Rubén doesn't seem like the kind of guy who wants a big payoff and to disappear. He has enough $$$ to pay a dozen or so guys to enslave and or kill people for him.
Sofia was absolutely right. She should have shot Matos when she had the chance. They didn't explicitly say so, but it appears he got word to Rubén.
At least Bebita CHOSE not to escape. Her freezing up that way was driving me nuts.
What I was thinking after watching the episode was that this one was very frustrating. It seems that TeamA and TeamP have been thwarted over and over again. If that crooked cop's face recognition plan works, they've left Fedor and Sheila to somehow be arrested as accomplices in the escape of a dangerous criminal from a super-max prison.
Again, I really appreciated the fine recap that helped me on the details.
Thanks very much, Niecie and deb, for your very interesting and helpful comments.
Niecie, glad I could shed some light on what was happening with Faustino and Paloma. To be honest, I'm still not wholly sure about all the details. How did they get the photo, for example? And thanks very much with identifying the guy with short dark hair. Had I been more alert, I might have paid more attention to the fact that he had those four phones that Our Team had to give up. Good point! Ah yes, The Talk. On the whole, I've been happy with the job Antonio Gil has been doing as Oleg in seasons 2 and 3, but somehow in last night's Talk scene, I kept wishing it could have been Alberto Jiménez as Oleg. It's hard to put my finger on just why.
deb, yes, when it comes to Sofia, Mateo can be counted on. He really loves her. But I still worry that at some point he may seriously endanger Our Team. Also, I think it's highly likely that facial recognition will identify Elena Bocanegra as Teresa Mendoza. Teresa is simply too well known. Her face appears in so many places all over the world. I've never felt that simply changing her hair color was sufficient. Not even close. I'm actually surprised it has worked for as long as it has. As for Epi and Rubén, perhaps they'll die a painful death together. Poisoned whiskey, anyone?
Oops, once again, novelera, I posted my response without seeing your VERY interesting comment.
Lo siento mucho.
Thanks very much for reminding me of Oleg's taking that photo at the "camp." Or was it somewhere within sight of the tavern? Why else would they have been so intent on identifying the tavern? The business about the tavern has always puzzled me. Anyway, thanks to you, I now DO remember Oleg taking the picture.
Lincoln Palomeque's accent has always frustrated me, beginning in Season 1, when I could barely make out a word. I've gotten a little better, but not much. Without captions, I'm completely lost. Even with them....
Hmmm...I just tried to search for Cafe con Aroma de Mujer in the Caray archives. I simply couldn't get the search feature to work. Guess I should alert someone.
Yes, I thought The Scene between Teresa and Oleg was well done, but... As I commented in responding to Niecie and deb, even though I've always been pleased with Antonio Gil's performance as Oleg, in The Talk scene, I found myself wishing for Alberto Jiménez. He brought a certain unique something to the role that I can't find words to describe. Oh well....
Again, apologies for missing your comment.
Juanita, my memory of what happened with the photo is Oleg eluding Eloy, saying he'd left a paper notebook behind. He then took a cell phone picture of something that was on a desk inside the tent. I couldn't see it well at the time. But it was apparently a photo of Rubén and his bad-egg son, Armando. I suppose he sent this to Faustino. I could not really see where the photo was taken on my less than huge flat screen. But, from what developed later, I think the photo was taken outside the bar Faustino and Paloma subsequently visited. This would make sense. If those two were photographed outside the place, then maybe someone would recognize them. What I'm not sure about is whether they had any idea what Rubén looked like and whether one of the two was really him. They don't exactly weigh us down with lots of details, do they? I suspect the limitation of 60 epis means they expect Viewerville to figure lots of things out that might be covered in a lengthy conversation in one with 150 epis!
Many thanks, novelera, for this further clarification. One would think that by now the writers were used to 60 episodes for this novela. Though perhaps they had been thinking of expending to 80? I say this because I recall seeing in one or two places that the number of episodes would be 80, but certainly if they're planning to end in mid-January, 60 seems more likely. I'd much rather be mystified at times than have to watch 150 episodes!
Hi. Something has come up and I will not be home tomorrow (Wednesday) evening. There's a good chance I won't be back in time to watch Wednesday's episode of LRDS3 and write something about it. I'm hoping someone will volunteer to put something up. It can be as long or as short as you'd like.
#43 – Parte 1 de 3
Bebita is playing with Güicho and then swears him to secrecy about when they played las escondidas (hide and seek) at the television station.
Delio and Epi talk. Delio thought Aguilar would be reluctant to meet, but he agreed. Bibita sneaks up and puts her ear to the door. Epi says the meeting has been arranged for the Ministry of Exterior Relations. Delio asks what would happen if they didn’t give Teresa Mendoza the money (in a tone that seems to say he’d like to chance it). Epi replies they’d be screwed.
Back to the bar in Lima. Faustino says that Sofia and Mateo are on their way. Paloma is worried the guy won’t come. And then…there he is…Rubén’s bad seed with two bodyguards. Faustino and Paloma say they just can’t stop thinking about Rocio. Paloma smiles at Armando.
In Buenos Aires Sheila and Fedor make excuses to Mortati and Julieta for Teresa’s absence. [OK, it’s a novela. But in what hotel do the owners grill paying guests about the whereabouts of one of them?] Mortati mentions the absence of the “Amigos” and wonders if Elena might know where they are since they were hoping for another poker game.
In Peru Ruben tells Teresa and Oleg that he forgot all about the key. Oleg tells him that Karen gave them his name. And Teresa tells him about the DEA showing up and killing her. Teresa drops Sami’s name and that he said that Ruben was the Jinete Rojo who has the key.
In Lima people applaud Armando’s billiards prowess. He offers to teach Paloma to play.
In D.F. Bebita remembers her last time embracing her father, his telling her that she’s strong, and her father’s funeral. She calls Garrido. She tells him she’s sorry for what happened, but she’s going to be the “inside man”. She tells him about the meeting Epi will have the next day with that lawyer, the one whose picture was published with Epifanio Vargas.
In Washington, D.C. Jane Kozar tells some guy “You met without me, something you never do”. Some guy named Owen says her excuses aren’t cutting it anymore. The others have spent many years on this and tons of money. If the name Uriel ever got out, it would be the end of them. They’re waiting for her to prove that she has things under control. He says he can’t keep protecting her.
#43 – Parte 2 de 3
Charlie has found out that the guy is Owen Whitaker, the ex-ambassador to Bolivia. He was there for 10 years. He was also an investor in various logistics companies, one of the Manco Industries. That company is the major arms supplier to Latin America, and the exclusive distributor to Bolivia. Charlie woders if Own is one of the ones Kozar is so frightened of.
Garrido calls Ernie, who puts it on speaker so Charlie can hear. Garrido tells him he has information about a meeting Vargas will have with Aguilar. And that they’ll be talking about Teresa Mendoza. [Caras impactadas de Charlie y Ernie]
In Lima Paloma is quite forward with Armando. She even suggests a trio when this female friend of hers arrives. They go to the bathroom together. Armando is all over Paloma, and is undoing his pants when Faustino bashes him over the head with a gun. When Paloma asks what took him so long, he jokes that he was letting the “galan” enjoy himself a bit, and he himself was being a voyeur.
In Machu Picchu Ruben says that the key is his security. If the DEA grabs him, it will protect him. He then has his guys tie up Teresa and Oleg.
In Lima Faustino cracks me up as he flips Armando over to get him out of there. ¡Que pecadito; la bragueta abierta y el pajarito afuera! (What a sin! The zipper is open and the little bird outside!)
Ruben gloats over his prisoners. He tells them he likes to take his time. An arm, then another. A foot, then the other. los huevos, gesturing at Oleg.
There’s a lot of suspense and quick scene changes between Lima and Machu Picchu. Teresa tells Ruben that their boss knows where they are. In Lima the guards get nervous when Armando can’t be found. Ruben says he normally just shoots women quickly in the head pero tú me caes mal. (I don’t like you much.) So he says he’ll do it piece by piece.
Faustino gets Armando in the back of their vehicle, and they barely get away from the bodyguards, who are shooting after them. These guys aren’t the sharpest knives in the drawer. If they hit Armando, they’d be “piece by piece”.
As Ruben asks Teresa where he should start, maybe a leg, the bodyguard calls to say that “they” took Armando. Ruben: “Who grabbed him?” Teresa: “Nosotros!” Ruben doesn’t believe her. She has Eloy call Faustino’s number. Faustino says he has the package. She tells him she needs a photo and to send it to Eloy’s phone. She also says to note the GPS of the call and, if anything happens to them, he knows what to do with the guy they’ve grabbed. Faustino has Paloma take a photo and send it.
#43 – Parte 3 de 3
To show what a prince of a guy Ruben is, he shoots one of his own men when the guy’s wife calls. Teresa tells Ruben he’s not in a good position to bargain. Oleg: “You give us the key, and we’ll give you your son safe and sound." Ruben says he doesn’t have the key where they are. They will go to Lima. Oleg says he also wants their guys (Anton and Batman) released without a scratch.
Pablo broods over the photos of his father. Batman calls. When Pablo says he’s called over and over, Batman responds that they had un pedito regular (a normal small problem), but all is well now. [Batman is the master of understatement.]
In Lima Oleg Teresa and Ruben walk together in the main part of Lima. Teresa says she’ll prove his son is OK if he proves that her guys are. She asks if he has worked with Uriel. Ruben replies that he’s one of his best clients. He never met him face to face. The Jinete Blanco was the intermediary. He transported some of his merchandise in some of his pre-Colombian objects that he sent to Europe. Teresa and Oleg exchange glances.
Faustino calls Sofia to tell her everyone is fine. She and Mateo are still trying to get to Lima without money. When she tells Mateo she’s sorry for everything that happens, he assures her that he didn’t like it much, but she means everything to him. He’d give his life for her.
Oleg, Teresa and Ruben go up to the roof of some building. They see that Batman and Anton are there. Teresa calls Faustino and says that Ruben wants to see his son. He has tape over his mouth, and Ruben yells that he wants to hear him. Faustino yanks it off none too gently, telling him it’s wax depilation. The brat immediately begins hollering about not giving them a dime, insulting Paloma. His father tells him to shut up.
When Ruben doubts he’ll get his son when he hands over the key, Teresa has a response. They bleeped what she said; and, if I’m correct, I don’t understand why. I think she said that she’s Culichi. People here may not have heard of these women, but they keep their word. “Culichi”, referring to people from Culiacán, was used a few times in the first season. Ruben says he’s going with Eloy and the other guy to get it. Oleg gives him two hours. He says they’ll call him 10 minutes before the time is up with the location for the exchange. Looking very “Culichi:, Teresa warns him not to be late.
Thanks very much, novelera, for this wonderful recap. It helped me understand some rather confusing parts and provided me with some, um, delightful Spanish. I'm pressed for time right now, so I just want to call attention to one statement that stood out for me: Mateo's telling Sofia that he'd die for her. I could be wrong, but my guess is that that's what may happen.
Gracias, Novelera. Super storytelling.
Yay, things are looking up in Peru.
Ruben is a psycho. The DEA has picked some odd ones for jinetes.
Juanita, when Mateo said that, I thought "oh no."
Can a child Güicho's age keep a secret from a pop as wily as Epifanio? I think not.
Here’s a very brief recap. Ruben gets the key from some guy in a big sports stadium.
Kozar reams Ernie some more.
I am confused about what’s going on with the re-election scheme. Delio is on the phone, and he eventually says they passed the reform by 2/3 votes. The two roosters crow. But then they say Congress has to approve. So whose were the 2/3 votes?
Susana admits to Danilo that she loves Bebita. Danilo says he can’t resign because he’d be in danger.
Ruben isn’t giving up so easily. He has a plan.
Our Team meets Ruben, Eloy, and another guy in a modern building in Lima. There’s lots of drama, but eventually they hand over Armando and he hands over the key. We see that a bomb has been placed under Our Team’s van.
Vargas meets Aguilar in a parking lot. Ernie and Charlie try to listen, but don’t get very much. Later they do hear Aguilar mention $30 million.
The exchange goes all right until Armando’s poor impulse control causes a firefight. But before that happens, Ruben tells Teresa he doesn’t know where the evidence is. Somehow they’ll know when all three keys are united.
Ruben and the rest chase after Our Team. He tells his son they aren’t getting away and pushes the button to set off the bomb. He blows himself and all of them to Kingdom Come. We see in a flashback that Paloma saw the bomb planted and alerted Faustino.
Aguilar is insisting on La Ley de Sometimiento for his “clients”. I’m not taking the time to fully explain this. But it sounds like the narcos would serve small sentences and make some restitution. Then they would be free from all charges. Sounds like Colombia either did or was planning to do something like that. Epi does say that people don’t want to sit in a restaurant near those guys.
Ernie and Charlie grab up Aguilar. High handed doesn’t begin to describe what these two do.
Teresa re-unites with Sofia. She embraces Mateo.
Bebita brings some celebratory wine and pretends to congratulate Epi and to help him going forward.
Ernie has Aguilar tied up. He insists on his rights. Ha! Ernie gets in his face and asks him where Teresa Mendoza is.
Pablo and Teresa talk on the phone about the keys and that Pablo has arranged a flight, presumably back to Argentina.
Gallardo’s cop friend has succeeded with his facial recognition work. He shows Gallardo and Julieta a wanted poster with Teresa’s face and true name on it. He says he’ll capture them and get a big promotion. Julieta suggests that SHE report Teresa's whereabouts and they’ll split the $5 million reward.
Many thanks, novelera, for this very helpful quickie. I've now had a chance to watch the episode. Like you, I found some of the stuff with Aguilar confusing. I'm glad to know I'm not alone.
The bomb business really made me nervous. I was trying to figure out which one of Our Team would get killed or seriously wounded. Needless to say, I loved the way it turned out. Paloma was ordered to find a place to hide, in case things went very wrong. Someone (she) would have to tell Sofia, Mateo, and Pablo. So thanks to her not being with the others, she spotted the guy planting the bomb and quickly notified Faustino, who presumably moved the bomb to Rubén's van. But one thing puzzles me: if the bomb had blown up Our Team's van, wouldn't the key be destroyed or at least badly damaged? Or did Rubén give them a fake key?
My assumption is that Jane Kozar ordered Ernie to kidnap Aguilar and find out where Teresa Mendoza is. Charlie asks Ernie (before we know what he's talking about) "Are you sure about this?" and Ernie replies "No, but orders are orders."
Pablo says something about wondering what kind of lock the 3 keys fit into. I'm wondering whether the 3 keys together form some kind of shape or some kind of message, rather than having to fit into a lock.
At the end, Julieta clearly wants to claim the reward and split it three ways, but she turns to Gallardo and says it's up to you. He sort of smiles as the episode ends. I assume that's a yes.
BTW, we were told last night that LRDS3 is in its Etapa Final.
Thanks for keeping our page going this week, Juanita and novelera with your wonderfully helpful recaps.
I think you’re spot on, novelera: “I suspect the limitation of 60 epis means they expect Viewerville to figure lots of things out that might be covered in a lengthy conversation…” I’m grateful for the recaps and comments that fill in the gaps.
Ruben was at the Estadio National for the key. I didn’t catch the name of the other venue where the exchange took place. Telemundo hasn’t posted last night’s ep yet, so I can’t review.
From Wikipedia: “Amendments or additions to the Constitution require the approval of two-thirds of the members of Congress present and the subsequent approval of a majority of the legislatures of the Mexican states and City of Mexico.”
“La Ley de Sometimiento” was mentioned early on in LRDS3. At the time, I think Epi was flirting with this idea. Maybe to get the backing ($$$) of the narcos.
Glad that Paloma and Faustino spoke about Rocio.
I always worry when a TN/dizi character says “I’d die for you.” Will Sofia’s love life be as tragic as her mother’s?
ITA, Juanita, the keys have hieroglyphics on them, so that must mean something.
Is Sami the only Horseman left? Or is Higgins still alive…. waiting to reveal himself.
Pablo asked about Oleg—if he was nearby, listening in. Ha, ha…. who’s worried and jealous now? Teresa did not tell him anything.
