Coming to a Screen Near You...in 2023!!

Ahoy there, Caraymates!!!

We’re on the heels of the end of the year…and what a year it was in telenoveland! During the 2022 year, we saw mucho backstabbing, intrigue, mystery, murder, and other not so nice stuff, but we also saw slap-stick, repeated reconciliations, forgiveness, love-lorn looks, weddings, all that delicious food and so many other good things! And I am sure the 2023 year will bring much of the same, but in different stories and in varied ways.

It’s taken me a while longer than I anticipated, but I finally have what so many have been waiting for…news on what’s coming!! I can tell you that there are some really good TNs coming our way! But as always, before I start, I must add my usual disclaimer:

The information you are about to read was gathered from a variety of sources including, “Univision,” “People en Español,” “La Opinion,” “Wikipedia,” “Forbes,” “Las Estrellas,” and "MediaVillage”.  The articles/webpages read are dated from as far back as Spring, 2022; so changes may have been made by the powers that be in the production companies (and I am not privy to the changes). As you will note, I have very little information about release dates, but this page will be updated periodically throughout the 2023 year with any additional information I come across. If you have current or more accurate information to share, please do so; it will be greatly appreciated and used to update the page. So onward we go---

I. TELEVISA/UNIVISIÓN

MI SECRETO  – PRODUCED BY CARLOS MORENO

Premieres on ???? (Currently airing in Mexico)

Mi Secreto is based on the 1974 series, “Ha Llegado Una Intrusa.” It tells the story of a young, humble girl, Valeria Beltran (Macarena García), who is sent off to a boarding school in Spain by her cold-hearted, abusive adoptive parents. It is there where she meets rich Natalia Ugarte Moncada (Isadora Vives), who has been sent there by her father, Alfonso (Fernando Ciangherotti) and step-mother, Fedra (Claudia Ramirez…yep, evil step-mother!). After a fatal accident, Valeria is forced to assume Natalia’s identity (whom she believes to be dead) in order to clear her name of a crime she did not commit. Valeria arrives at the Moncada ranch where she meets Mateo Miranda (Diego Klein whom we saw in Los Ricos También Lloran) and it’s love at first sight. The story revolves primarily on Valeria’s strife to keep her identity a secret from her new family, the police, and primarily, Mateo.

Joining the cast are: Arturo Peniche and Karyme Lozano (who also struggle to be together); Andres Baida, Alma Delfina, Luis Felipe Tovar, Eric del Castillo, and Vanessa Bauche…among numerous others.

CORONA DE LÁGRIMAS 2 – PRODUCED BY JOSE ALBERTO CASTRO

Premieres on ???? (Currently airing in Mexico)

Cabo is a new version of Tú o Nadie. Leading the cast are Barbara de Regil and Matías Nova (whom we saw in La Herencia).Hours after Sofía (de Regil) and Alejandro marry, he goes off to attend to a work-related issue; and on the way, his plane crashes and dies (or does he?). Utterly devastated, Sofía goes to Cabo to meet her in-laws; and upon arriving, her life completely changes.  She discovers that Alejandro is alive, but he is not the good, humble man she thought he was. Alejandro confesses that his real name is Eduardo and he changed it to Alejandro so that Sofía could be legally married to his brother, Alejandro, who was the one who actually died in the plane crash…and so that they could claim the real Alejandro’s fortune. (are you as confused as I am?)

Among the vast cast are: Eve Cedeño, Diego Amozurrutia, Rebecca Jones, Rafael Inclán, Raul Coronado, Mar Contreras, Roberto Ballesteros, Fabiola Campamontes, and Barbara Torres.

EL AMOR INVENCIBLE – PRODUCED BY JUAN OSORIO

Premieres on ????

Once again, Angelique Boyer graces the screen as a protagonist in El Amor Invencible. And for the first time, as the male lead opposite Angelique, is Danilo Carrera. This series is a melodrama that is an adaptation of a Portuguese series and it presents a theme which may be controversial, but quite interesting. Boyer portrays Marina, a young girl “born in Puerto Palma and she is submerged into the deepest of the sea, like a mermaid, looking for happiness, and the sea brings her love, but when the sea is fierce it also brings misfortunes and storms.”

Gael Torrenegro (Daniel Elbittar) was Marina’s first love, the man whom she gave herself completely to, even though Adrián (Carrera) was willing to give her a pure and simple love. But Gael stole her heart and she became pregnant with twins whom Gael refused to acknowledge and whom Ramsés Torrenegro (Guillermo García Cantú), the most ruthless man, took from her! Ramsés even tried to have Marina killed by setting fire to the hospital where Marina had her twins, but luckily, Adrián and Consuelo, a nurse, saved her. Years later, Marina is now Leona Bravo; and she moves to Mexico City to infiltrate the world of the Torrenegro and seek justice and vengeance for the death of her babies.

Interestingly, Adrián has also taken on a new identity to stay alive; he is now David Alejo. But his love for Leona/Marina stays true even though he never saw her again after the fire…until…

Joining Angelique and Danilo are some familiar faces, such as: Leticia Calderon, Marlene Favela, and Luz María Jerez.

ELLAS SOY YOPRODUCED BY CARLA ESTRADA

Ellas Soy Yo is a bioseries based on the life of the infamous singer, Gloria Trevi.  Little Luka Mantellano, young Valentina Delgado and Lu Rosette will portray Trevi in her younger years. Regina Villaverde will portray Trevi in the years when she first started her career as an adolescent, and Scarlet Gruber has been mentioned as the actress portraying Trevi at the height of her career. PERDONA NUESTROS PECADOS – PRODUCED BY LUCERO SUAREZ

Premieres on ???? (Will premiere in Mexico in January!)

PIENSO EN TI – PRODUCED BY CARLOS BALDASANO

Dulce María returns to the world of telenovelas as the protagonist for Pienso en Ti, a story of fulfilling dreams and having aspirations regardless of age. David Zepeda will join Dulce as protagonist. There will be plenty of music since this story is about Emilia (María), a young girl who has dreams of becoming a singer…against her mother’s will. When Emilia meets Angel (Zepeda), her idol, she gains the courage to pursue her dreams while, unknowingly, helping Angel regain his own hopes.

Familiar faces in this cast are: Alexia Ayala, Eugenia Cauduro, José Elias Moreno, Brandon Peniche, Jessica Diaz, Lore Ganiewicz, Federico Ayos, Sebastian Poza, and Ramiro Tomasini..

THE “VENCER” SERIES CONTINUES!!!

Premieres on...the latter part 0f 2023!

Rosy O’Campo has announced that she will continue with her successful Vencer series. We can expect Vencer La Culpa (Overcoming Guilt) sometime during Fall, 2023!! No details have been given about this new series—not what it’s about or who the four protags will be. But as soon as I hear/read anything, I will surely pass on the news :-)

And O’Campo  isn’t stopping with Vencer La Culpa; some other titles she is thinking of are: Vencer El Prejuicio (Overcoming Prejudice) and Vencer El Fracaso (Overcoming Failure).

ETERNAMENTE (Tentative title) – PRODUCED BY SILVIA CANO

Premieres on ????

Eternamente will bring together Marcus Ornellas (Si Nos Dejan) and Alejandra Robles Gil (Contigo Si; Imperio de Mentiras) as protagonists. TELEMUNDO

EL SEÑOR DE LOS CIELOS 8 – PRODUCED BY TELEMUNDO STUDIOS

Premieres on Jan. 17, 2023 at 9PM!

Aurelio (Rafael Amaya) is back with a vengeance in El Señor de Los Cielos 8! They took him from his grave, made everyone think he was dead, and tortured him like an animal! But like any caged animal, he looks for a way out and looks for his “herd” and is set on retrieving all that was taken from him. And of course there will be new romances and discovery of old yet familiar mysteries.

Joining him this season are: Iván Arana (Ismael Casillas), Carmen Aub (Rutila Casillas), Alejandro Lopez (Super Javi), Lisa Owen (Doña Alba), and Maricela González (La Felina). Also joining this season, and new to Telemundo, is Africa Zavala who will portray Mecha, a woman who becomes quite close to Aurelio.

EL CONDE: AMOR Y HONOR – PRODUCED BY SONY PICTURES TELEVISION

Premieres in 2023!

El Conde: Amor y Honor  is an adaptation of the 1844 novel Count of Monte Cristo. Fernando Colunga returns to the world of telenovelas in this tale that starts in the 30s. It is a story of an intense love between Alejandro Gaitán (Colunga), a humble peasant man and Mariana Zambrano (Ana Brenda Contreras), a beautiful, restless young woman. Conspiring to separate them will be Mariana’s evil stepmother, Josephina de Zambrano (Chantal Andere) and Gerardo Villarreal (Sergio Sendere). As with the original novel, Alejandro will be separated from Mariana. He will be accused of a double homicide; and without anyone knowing his fate, he will be transferred to a remote island where he will meet Amador Guzmán (Manuel Navarro), a Spanish nobleman, who, before dying, reveals that he has a hidden treasure and leaves it to Alejandro.

Twenty years later, Alejandro manages to escape, finds the treasure and goes to look for his love, Mariana, but Mariana is now married to his mortal enemy, Gerardo. Alejandro returns as the rich and powerful Count Joaquín de Montenegro and begins his plight to take revenge on all those who betrayed him, including Mariana, since he believes she was part of the conspiracy to be rid of him.

Joining the cast are: Marjorie de Sousa, Victor Gonzalez, Helena Rojo, Javier Diaz Dueñas, and Sergio Reynoso…among others.

JUEGO DE MENTIRAS—PRODUCED BY ELIZABETH SUAREZ AND RAFAEL URIOSTEGUI

Premieres in 2023!

Juego de Mentiras  is an original story created by Sebastián Arrau. It could be categorized as a psychological thriller that is set in Los Angeles and San Clemente, California; it is a tale of intrigue, mystery, passion and love that follows the life of César Ferrer (Arap Bethke) , an honorable, hard-working man who always dreamed of having his own family and will do anything for his daughter, Noelia (Camila Nuñez). When his wife, Adriana (María Elisa Camargo) vanishes, César is identified as the prime suspect, but César won’t take this sitting down. He takes it on himself to prove his innocence in order to protect his daughter from being taken from him. During his investigation, César finds that his wife had many secrets and was not the person everyone (thought they) knew; in fact, she was leading a double life!

Altair Jarabo makes her debut at Telemundo as she portrays Camila del Río, a young independent woman who is the “princess “ of the powerful Del Rio family. Camila  realizes that there is a world outside of her family who have much to hide.

Also in the cast are: Rodrigo Guirao, Cynthia Klitbo, Eduardo Yañez, Alicia Machado, Patricio Gallardo, Aylin Mujica and so many others!

Comments:
RGV, thank you for this stellar recap of what we are to expect in 2023. I'm mostly looking forward to see the Telemundo shows, the Altair Jarabo one especially - I think it's billed as her first protagonico (high time!!)

Mi secreto has fresh faces staring and that is always good. I'm kind of interested in the Daniel Elbitar/ Angelique Boyer one, too, but Danilo Carrera is a huge turn off for me, and since he's the main male prota I might skip it completely.

Thanks again, RGV! Stay warm (-3°C this morning in Paris) and still no actual snow.

Adriana Noel

Thanks, RgvChick. It looks like there is much to look forward to. Yay!

Thanks RgvChick for sharing what we have to look forward to!! And for all the hard work you do for Caray everyday!

I am a huge fan of Scarlet Gruber so I'm sure I will check out Ellas Soy Yo! Mi Secreto does look and sound interesting....intrigue! :) Cabo looks like a lot of pretty people and back biting and Drama with a capital D!! I will add that Christian de la Campa is also in this cast which is a bigger draw for me than Matias Nova or the other guy in the picture (LOL) but the plot does sound interesting, I've never seen Tu o Nadie.

I could be down for some of the Telemundo shows, not another Senor season! LOL But Amor Y Honor and Juego de Meniras look interesting... here's hoping 2023 brings lots of opportunities for snark and laughter to all our patios!!

Rgv Chick, this is fabulous.

I feel like a kid in a candy store, so many delicious concoctions. Too many delectable TNs, not enough real life time.

I am also looking at Daniel/Angelique and a few others...To be honest? Cabo is standing out, and I wish it had been scheduled further out rather than right after La Madrastra ends. I suspect I have a crush on Matias...

I'm starting to wonder if and when you sleep! Thank you for all of the many daily things you do to keep everything up and running.

Diana

Gracias, Rgv Chick. This is a fantastic primer on what's coming. I'm going to try to check out the premiere of each one. Looks like there's no comedy coming, too bad .

Niecie

Dear Chickie, thank you so much fir this great preview of upcoming novelas. Whee.

I always look for familiar faces , so I am looking forward to " El Amor Invencible" with Angelique and the two Daniels .

I will give the others a try Whether on Uni or Telemundo.

. I am hoping for another good Turkish dizi because I have become a big fan after watching quite a few.

Fasten your seatbelts Here we go.....

OT....Cher Adriana, Cold and snowy where I am . I have been playing Scrabble in French .

Darcy, I like Scarlet Gruber, too, but not bioseries, so I'll skip this one, but wouldn't it be great to have Scarlet and Christian de la Campa paired up in a novela soon? One can only hope (as I'm still hoping to see a redo of Cristian de la Fuente and Silvia Navarro).

Diana, these do sound interesting, but I have a very short attention span when it comes to novelas if one of my favorites is not in it. Right now I'm kind of forcing myself to watch Corazon Guerrero, but some of these new shows have a lot of potential.

OT
Susanlynn, très bien! I don't think I'd be capable, French spelling is a nightmare. Even as I speak French every day, I work in French and I sometimes even think in French, it's still easier for me to write in English. I could never do recaps in French for exemple... My older daughter, who is seven, is learning how to read and write and I'm amazed by how natural it comes to her (born here), when I still have to struggle, especially with those nasty accents.

I hope weather doesn't take a turn for the worst next week because we have decided to spend the Holidays with our family back home and our plane tickets were cancelled, so we have to take the car. Yey! 24 hours drive (we'll be cutting the trip in two, with a hotel stay), I don't need any kind of snow, thank you very much!

Thanks VERY much, RgvChick, for all this info about what's ahead. Two of the three Telemundo shows--El Conde and Juego de Mentiras--sound promising. I'll take a pass on El Señor del los Cielos (or, as novelera likes to call it, El Señor de los Depends :-)  ). I think I bailed out on that one halfway through season 2.

I'm looking forward to finally getting to see Fernando Colunga on Telemundo. I was very sorry he wasn't in Malverde. (The actor who wound up playing Malverde, Pedro Fernández, was OK, but I kept imagining how much better it would have been with Colunga.)

Again, many thanks!!

Cabo sounds like a remake of Sortilegio (both based on the same original). I don't know ... I doubt this cast can compare to Jacqueline Bracamontes, William Levy, David Zepeda (his best bad guy role, IMO), Azela Robinson, Julian Gil, Ana Brenda Contreras ... the list goes on. I'll check it out, though.

Thank you, everyone! Yes, indeedy! Lots to look forward next year...now just to find the time to watch as many as I can :-)

Adriana Noel, I must admit that I am already watching "Mi Secreto" and I really like it. It's like one of those traditional TNs of the 80s and 90s where there was very little physical violence (ie. murder); there's just lots of conniving underhandedness and intrigue against the main protag. And just a tidbit on the young female lead, Macarena Garcia--she has acting in her blood; her mother is Amairani Romero (Me Declaro Culpable, Por Amar Sin Ley) and her grandmother, Anabel Gutierrez, was a legendary actress in her own time...and BTW Macarena's resemblance to her grandmother is striking! Just look up "images" of the grandmother!

Jarifa, thanks back at you for all you continue to do to keep the patios going. I was SO excited that the Vencer series will continue!

Darcy, I really like Scarlet too! I'll give anything she is in a try.

Diana, "Too many delectable TNs, not enough real life time." Exactly!! And CABO does sound interesting. When I first started reading the summmaries, I was reminded of "Disenando Tu Amor" where there was a plane crash and the boyfriend was thought to be dead. Te acuerdas? But since it's on a 10PM, I'm not sure I'll be able to keep awake long enough to watch it.

Niecie, Yeah, no comedies :-( Oh well maybe later we'll get one.

Susanlynn, "El Amor Invencible" does sound good and I like all the main cast...so I'm in for now. I haven't heard anything about any more Turkish dizis on Telemundo :-/

Juanita, I am looking forward to seeing Fernando too, but I'm not a big fan of time period series; so we'll see how long I can stick to it. "Juego de Mentiras" looks really good--I like psych thrillers!

Anonymous at 12:55, never watched "Sortiligio", but "Cabo' did remind me a lot of "Disenando Tu Amor" which (oddly) was not an adaptation of "Tu o Nadie"

Thank you, Rgv Chick for this and all you do for us.

I found an item on the Telemundo website that might be of interest:

TELEMUNDO PRESENTS EL SECRETO DE LA FAMILIA GRECO, STARRING RENOWNED TELENOVELA STAR, FERNANDO COLUNGA, BEGINNING MONDAY, DECEMBER 19 AT 12AM/11C

https://www.nbcumv.com/mediavillage/interactive/2929fed4187b40648b79a9839e70e91fproduct169208/index.html#/brand/5476f206-b324-4f0f-aec7-b438919345e2/press-releases/0273c505-b946-4b6d-a4c7-2bd40e3ec4b2

But why are they showing this at midnight?

I don’t have any news about dizis coming to Telemundo or Uni in the near future. I am currently enjoying 1 weekly dizi airing in Turkey, Yalı Çapkını (Kingfisher), that’s at the top of the ratings there. It has millions of international viewers too. It could come to our screens. Some actors might be familiar to Caraymates, including Sultana from Hercai and Yahya from Embajador.

Susanlynn, our guy Engin Akyürek has supposedly signed on to a new series “Benim Adım Farah” (My Name is Farah) that is based on the American show, The Cleaning Lady, and the Argentinian show, La Chica que Limpia. Demet Özdemir (from Pájaro Soñador) will be his partner. Engin will play a mafioso. I haven’t seen the American show but I’ve read the plot description. I wonder how well this will go over with the Turkish audience.

Dondi, I am missing the dizis . I have never watched "The Cleaning Lady," but I caught a few promos for it . Perhaps I will look on YouTube for a dizi with Engin or Burak. I miss the Telemundo patio .

Rgv Chick, thank you for this information!

I think that El Conde looks interesting, and possibly Pienso En Ti.

I'm another one disappointed that there don't seem to be any upcoming comedies. Well, hope springs eternal, maybe one will sneak into the schedule.

Andy

Andy, never fear. ....if you recall , we turned "Desalmada" into quite a snarky funfest. Lemons into lemon meringue pie. We have a tendency to make even the grimmest offerings into comedies.

Thanks so much, Rgv Chick, for the great rundown of what's coming next year. I have always said I'd watch Fernando Colunga paint a fence, a la Tom Sawyer, so I'm on board for El Conde. Having read (actually listened to on old school cassettes from the public library years ago) The Count of Monte Cristo, I am definitely looking forward to seeing how novela writers will work with that plot.

I've always liked Arap Bethke, ever since Doña Bárbara way back when, so that one sounds interesting.

Hi, Novelera, I watched Dona Barbara years ago , but I only remember the leads and Genesis who played the daughter.

I’m looking forward to some of the more traditional, old-fashioned novelas. Not that the more ‘modern’ ones aren’t good, and some have been very good. But the extreme violence just gets to be a bit much. And how on earth is Aurelio still alive?? I stopped with El Senor after the third season and someone should have murdered him long before season 8! (Ok, i can make exceptions for some
violence if it’s to kill off other violent drug dealers and rapists).

Kelly

Susanlynn... Arghh! La Desalmada

I would just as soon forget that one. As it is, I had nightmares for a while that what's-his-name crawled out of the cave and came back in La Desalmada II.

The Apple Nazi says, "No apple for you!"   :-)

Andy

Novelera, The Count of Montecristo is one of my favorite novels! It has already been made into a novela several times. You could check out Montecristo on Azteca, with Silvia Navarro and Diego Oliveira, or, more recently, Yago, with Ivan Sanchez. Both decent, the story translates well to novela land.
There is also a Spanish miniseries with William Levy playing the count, I might check it out since it's only 6 episodes, nou sure when it comes out (also called Montecristo).

Ah, La Desalmada...Livia Brito said she refused a sequel because she plans to start a family this year. I think we owe her a big thank you :))

If I remember correctly, both Sortilegio and Cabo are remakes of Tu o nadie. I didn't care much for Sortilegio when it first aired, but I did like Zepeda in it.

Adriana Noel

Niecie, Andy, I, too, would like to seem some comedies or lighter fare.

Adriana, I agree we owe Brito a big thank you.

Andy, RgvChick, I think we all watched “Mariana de la noche” way back when in the mornings. I thought Celeste in “Vencer la ausencia” looked familiar and it is Alejandra Barros, Mariana herself of the magical psychedelic glade! Ah, those were some cheesy special effects!

Adriana, The only thing I enjoyed about Sorti were the fights with Levy and Zepada somersault ing down that staricase.

Dondi, MERHABA! I couldn't find anything on Turkish dizis coming ot Telemundo either. And I did read about "El Secreto de la Familia Greco" but didn't think it fit with what we consider a telenovela. It is a series based on a RL family who kidnaps rich individuals then demands a ransom with the sole purpose of maintianing their status and living standards. It could be that Telemundo put this one at a late hour because of the content. And thank you for the heads up on “Benim Adım Farah”! I don't think I need to say how I feel about Engin; and I really enjoyed Demet Özdemir in "Pájaro Soñador"; which Susanlynn, I think you'd enjoy...it could be classified as a romance comedy.

Andy, I think I'll try out Pienso En Ti . I'm not a big fan of David, and I've never seen anything with Dulce Maria (that I remember LOL) so we'll see how that goes. I hope the music is good :-)

novelera, "I have always said I'd watch Fernando Colunga paint a fence, a la Tom Sawyer, so I'm on board for El Conde." LOL Too funny! If he's shirtless and even half as lean as he used to be, I wouldn't mind seeing him paint a fence either!

Kelly, I'm with you on "more traditional, old-fashioned novelas" It seems that those are usually the ones they show in the early afternoons.

Jarifa, YES! I do "cabalmente" remember Alejandra Barros in "Mariana de la Noche"! LOL do you remember Mr. "cabalmente?" LOL Seems like Alejandra is keeping busy. She was in a TN on Telemundo, last year I think, that was titled "Buscando a Frida." Then I saw her in "Los Ricos Tambien Lloran" and now in "Vencer La Ausencia."

RgvChick, oh yeah, poor Mr.Cabalmente. Thanks for the laugh! I hadn’t seen Barros for so long, I wondered if she was a one hit wonder, so to speak. That novela was so bad bu, oh, so good.

I think that the “Vencer” franchise could go on a long time given that its structure is so open.

As for your kind comment, all I can say is that I am so happy to see so many caraymates involved and the blog flourishing on both the Uni and Telemundo sides. : )

Novelera and Chickie, Fernando in A!borada is the reason I fell down the telenovela rabbit hole to begin with 15 years ago.

O/T

I think I'm the only person who never saw "Mariana!"

The first thime I saw Alejandra Barros was in La Verdad Occulta. One of my favorite TNs, she was one of the two female leads (Galilea Montijo the other). It was excellent and she ended up with Eduardo Yanez and Gabe Soto with Galilea. I also liked her in Los Ricos and of course now in Vencer.

Susanlynn, my first time seeing Colunga was "Pasion". He and Main Man Mario (Alberto Estrella) and Susana Gonzalez were wonderful! I will have to see Alborada one of these days.

Diana

Diana, Alborado was my all-time favorite until Dondi recommended " Fatmagul" which put Alborada in second place . Third is " Amor Real" . Fourth is " Pasion.". I loved " Amor Eterna" although I hated the ending .

I have never seen Mariana or Verdad Occulta.

David Zepeda like Gabriel Sotto never takes a break!

The Colunga Telemundo show has a lot of TelevisaUnivision familiar faces on the cast!

Altair and Africa also joining TeleMundo doo!

I hope Mi Secreto gets a primetime slot on Univision! I think the main female antagonist is one of the kids on Mi Corazon Es Tuyo!

Always looking forward to any show with Angelique Boyer!

OT: Just realized Boyer and Sebastian Rulli's home countries were up against each other at the World Cup!

"ESDLC":

RGV Chick: Thank you very much for your long in-depth analysis of the upcoming 2023 Telenovelas.

I'll be watching "ESDLC" 100% since its one of my favorites. Interesting to see how Aurelio will reclaim his power in Season 8 🤔

Big question is whether Amado will be recast ?

Steve Boudreaux

Don't mean to be blunt but GET USED TO IT Kelly.

Expect the Body Count to crack like 73 billion LOL in Season 8 of "ESDLC".

Steve Boudreaux

forg/jecoup, seems like many of the Univision actors are transitioning to Telemundo. Horacio Pancheri and Cinthia Klitbo are other Univision regulars who will also be joining the cast for "Juego de Mentiras." And great observation on the Boyer/Rulli home countries...it would never have occurred to me!

Steve, I hope you enjoy Season 8; I've never watched any of the seasons for ESDLC so I won't be joining in that one.

OT Diana, at the time "Mariana" aired, you were still working. The patio wasn't that big, but it was a blast...it was one that JudyB joined into and we did have lots of fun. "Mr. Cabalmente" was actually a character named Isidro played by Jose Carlos Ruiz. Isidro was a type of witch doctor who actually turned himself into a black hawk a couple of times!!! And he would use the word "cabalmente" just about as many times as Memo scratches his beard! LOL

OT.Hi, judyb. Miss you. Sending love and prayers and good vibrations)))))))

Hi all.

I'll definitely recap Mi Secreto. Patiently waiting gor La Mujer de mi Vida since March 2022.

The Boyer one sounds interesting, I'll probably read the recaps.

Juego de Mentiras sounds cool, I'm glad it's an original story. We've had so many remakes! I'll also probably read the recaps.

Thanks, RGVChick!

Agree. Sortilegio still remains one of my top telenovelas to watch and the only 5hing with David Zepeda that I can suffer through.

The version with Silvia Navarro and Diego Oliveira is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. As much as FC is my main squeeze, he and ABC won't be able to out do SN & DO.

Susanlynn, I'm right here with you.

Did anyone watch 'El Secreto de la Familia Greco' with Fernando Colunga? It doesn't look too good to me, yet his 'Conde de Montecristo' looks even worse! I don't think a 'Conde de Montecristo' will compare to the one with Silvia Navarro and Diego Olivera. I've watched it at least 6 times.
And isn't William Levy doing a Conde also?
Doesn't Mexico have any new writers?

I'm not sure if this is true or not

https://asapland.com/el-dragon-season-3-release-date-cast-plot-and-everything-you-need-to-know/128311/

Valentino Lanus is returning on the small screen! I miss watching him. He's charming and handsome. The last time I heard him, he did a novela for Azteca called Nada Personal. Too bad it never aired in the now defunct Azteca America.

Does anyone know the details of his upcoming project?

Moody chick, the only thing I have found is that Susana G plays Paula, a woman who is diagnosed with a serious illness, so she decides to quit her job as a businesswoman and change her life so that she can enjoy it with her three children.

Thank you Rgv Chick for the details! It sounds interesting. I haven't watch a novela in a while so I might check it out in the near future.
