CAMINO Ep 48 Part 1

After Fausto unjustly asks Memo how long he has been sleeping with his wife, Memo retorts that the only reason he won’t smash his face is because they are at the hospital. He makes it clear that Dani is a decent woman, not like Fausto and his lover! Fausto scowls that Dani stopped being decent the day she met Memo! She was always home and always dedicated to her daughter and her husband, but Memo made her into a pervert! Memo refuses to allow Fausto to talk that way about Dani when it is he who is cheating on her with her best friend for years! Fausto tells Memo not to act so dignified since he too is cheating on his wife. Memo reiterates that there is nothing between him and Dani. If he is there, it’s because Dani crashed into the tree and Dani called him by mistake, she was trying to call him. When Fausto insists that they were together, Memo won’t allow him to talk badly about Dani; Fausto cans think badly of Memo, but not of Dani! Fausto then asks if Memo is waiting to be thanked…he tells Memo to get out, Fausto will take care of HIS wife!

At the restaurant, Max is ranting about Amparo going to dinner with Eugenio...she is betraying him!! Amparo tells him not to be making up falsehoods about her. When Mac tells her that she is betraying him, Amparo reminds him that there is nothing between them anymore; the only traitor is him! When she tells him that she doesn’t need his opinions, Max retorts that she could have at least waited longer before going out with that gentleman. Amparo emphasizes that she is only going to talk business, and after Max scoffs, he takes back the necklace because Amparo doesn’t deserve it!

Another rant is going on at the restaurant. Ursula is ranting and raving to Leo about Memo going to help Dani who will look for any excuse to get Memo to go to her. When Max enters, Ursula sees the necklace and wonders why Max has it; Ursula thought she had lost it. Mac tells her he found it…and gives it back to her. Ursula then asks why the long face, but Mac tells her to ask Amparo.

At the hospital, False-oh feigns concern and caring when Dani is wheeled out. He is there to take care of her and support her. He then spurts out his sob story that he wears so scared she would be in a delicate state.

At the restaurant, Leo is trying his best to convince a doubtful Amparo to go to Eugenio’s dinner. He reminds her that Max has done so many bad things and they are separated. Leo doesn’t see anything wrong with her going out with Eugenio.

Ursula is now on another of her jealous tirades asking why Memo didnt answer his phone. Memo explains that his battery died, but Ursula doesn’t believe him. She berates Dani for doing anything to get his attention…and Memo for always running to Dani and forgetting about her, the baby and everything else!

Dani is now at home and Fausto continues his disgusting act of caring…but manages to ask why Dani called Memo instead of calling him. Dani explains that she intended to call him but she was so confused that she didn’t notice what number she called. When Fausto asks her to swear that she wasn’t with Memo, Dani assures him that she was alone and returning from the nursery.

Memo tries to explain that Dani called him by mistake, but Ursula insists that Dani always has an ulterior motive. After she confirms that Memo’s phone battery needs charging, She tells Memo to go take something for his headaches and she will charge his phone.
 

CAMINO Ep 48 Part 2

JuanPa rushes into Dani’s bedroom asking if she is okay. When Fausto tells him she is fine and needs to rest, JuanPa ignores him. As Dani assures him she is fine, Fausto insists that Dani need to rest! JuanPa curtly tells him to let him talk to his sister, but Fausto only gets louder and ruder; so JuanPa gets up and they get into a shouting match. JuanPa thinks Dani crashed because of Fausto…she has told him leave and he is still there! JuanPa gets in Fausto’s face as he tells him to leave Dani alone! Fausto should understand that his sister got tired of him! Fausto unbelievably keeps his mouth shut and leaves!

Memo texts Dani that he hopes she is well. He asks her to let him know how she is doing because he is worried about her.

Mac is complaining to Humberto and asking him to forbid Amparo from going out with “that man.” Humberto refuses because Amparo is no longer a child and because they are separated! All Humberto cares about is that Amparo be happy and she will never be happy with Mac! Mac has disappointed and hurt her…all he did resulted in consequences. When Humberto adds that Eugenio is a good righteous man, Mac argues that he is her husband and he loves her! Humberto charged that Mac ruined his marriage with his lies and trickery. Mac starts his spiel that he only did it for Amparo and for the family. When he mentions the selling of the property, Humberto knows that is all Mac wants and tells him not to start with that again. Humberto doesn’t know what Amparo will do about Eugenio, but as her father, he needs to support her, not him!! And with that, Mac leaves like a deadbeat dog!

Isa runs in crying and jumps on Dani bed asking is she is alright; Chuchita told her Dani had been in an accident and she was so afraid that something bad had happened. After Dani reassures her that she is fine; Dani adds that she worried about Isa when she crashed…she always thinks a lot her no matter what happens. USA then asks if Memo went to rescue her. When Dani confirms, Isa comments that the Super Trailero saved Dani just like he saved her. Super T always confronts the bad guys and fights against evil…he is their super hero! Dani nods in agreement and hugs Isa as tears roll down her face.

At the restaurant, Grace hones in on her target, Chema who is studying his math times tables. After introduced herself, she hopes they can become good friends. Chela tells her it depends…does she like super heroes? Of course she does! Chema then shares his secret—he is Monoman! Grace plays along and since she doesn’t have any customers will play with him…she asks that he show her his house. (Sneaky, sneaky!)

Mac calls Aaron because he needs a distraction. Aaron tells him he knew he'd be calling him nd warns him that he will need mucho dinero to gamble at the high stakes place he will be taking him to. Mac tells him that one of his relatives just died and left him a good amount of money.

Chema is showing Grace the house. Chema wants to show her his cape, but he left it at he restaurant' so Grace convinces him to go get it. Once alone, Grace goes into the girl' bedroom and looks in the closet. She gets one of Gaby's outfits and tears it up as she cries in her jealous fit. She then gets one of Lupita's bools and starts tearing that up too. Chema finally returns and asks what she is doing there. She lies as she tells him she thought it was his room. Chema laughs and teases her since he would have girlie stuff in his room.

Amparo arrives at Eugenio's place, he thought she would change her mind at the last minute. HE then suggests that they start addressing each other informally...and then tells her that she looks prettier than ever! And tonight, he will be serving her!
 

CAMINO Ep 48 Part 3

Dani reads Memo's text and responds--she is fine...she didn't have the opportunity to thank him for what he did...and she will never forget it. Unfortunately, Ursula has Memo's phone and reads the message.

Aaron takes Mac to the hidden gambling place that requires a coded knock. As Mac walks in, he stupidly says, "Sayonara" to the hostess. Aaron then introduces Mac to the owner. When Mac asks how much the drinks are, Aaron tells him they are on the house. Mac thinks he is in heaven!

Ursula uses Memo’s phone to call Dani since she just read her message to him. She snarks that Dani doesn’t miss any opportunity to mess with her marriage! She reminds Dani that Memo is her husband and she loves him with all her heart; so she is asking that Dani not send him messages, call him or look for him! Dani tries to get a word in. It Ursula continues that they are both women and known exactly how to get a man’s attention. Dani apologizes and explains that she had an accident and called Memo accidentally, but Ursula scoffs that a woman in peril is the #1 (trick)…she should be more original! Ursula then swears that if Dani doesn’t stop going after her husband, Dani will find out exactly what she is capable of! When Dani reminds her that Memo is Isa’s father…and they will have to continue having to be in contact with other, Ursula tells her to stop using all those tricks. She then warns Dani not to start a war between them…because the only one who will get hurt is her daughter!

Outside, Memo listens to Leo sing. Leo asks why he is there and not with his wife. Memo replies that he would rather stay there and wait until Ursula is asleep. Ursula keeps fighting with him using the same arguments about Dani; and he wants to avails any conflicts because of the pregnancy. Leo points out that Ursula is not dumb and what Memo feels for Dani is obvious. Memo realizes that…and he doesn’t want to hurt her and he is trying his best to make things work out…for the baby. Memo them confesses that he feels empty inside; he can’t stop thinking about Dani; the pain is killing him and he doesn’t know what to do!

Eugenio and Amparo are having hors d’oeuvres which Amparo is enjoying very much. He explains that whenever he goes on a trip and has something to eat that he likes, he asks for the recipe. Amparo comments that he has his secrets! Eugenio then tells he that he got a call from a reporter that works for a magazine and he wants to interview her.

Grace tells the young folk that she is leaving, but as they talk about going out to see a movie, Grace eavesdrops. Lupita doesn’t want to go because she has too much homework…and she feels uncomfortable that her mother went to be with Eugenio and they are alone!

Eugenio advises Amparo on the types of things she should talk about during the interview. Amparo then asks that he be present during the interview. Eugenio then goes to check on the dinner.

Sebas tries to tell the girls that they are being overprotective, but they are talking about his pops! Gaby explains that there isn’t a problem with his father; and Lupita explains that when a couple gets married, they marry for life. Gaby agrees and comments that their parents are having problems but they will work things out. JuanPa thinks also thinks that’s they are exaggerating but the girl’s still refuse to go and urge the guys to go without them.

Karen is with Dani and asks about her husband. Dani tells her that hey don't sleep together anymore, Fausto is sleeping in JuanPa's room. When Karen asks how the accident happened, Dani admits that she was distracted. Karen knows she was thinking of Memo and asks if Dani realizes how much giving up on love is affecting her. Karen then offers to spend the night; she doesn't want Dani to be alone. Dani appreciates it and agrees.

 

CAMINO Ep 48 Part 4

Ursula is in bed. When Memo thinks he woke her, she tells him that she was waiting for him...and she wants to spoil him a bit. She starts kisses him and Memo is doing his best to reciprocate.

Dani has told Karen about Ursula's call. Karen advises her that Ursula is jealous and what has her like that is the chemistry between Dani and Memo...and Ursula knows that Memo feels something very special for Dani.

Ursula and Memo are still smooching and things are getting hot. Ursula turns with her back to Memo as he kisses her neck. When she opens her eyes and looks at the bed, she sees Cesar! ..who tells her that she continues to be his! Ursula shrieks in fright. And when Memo asks what is wrong, she cries that she saw a...scorpion!! She asks him to kill it...and to call her when he gets rid of it. Ursula goes into the bathroom crying; and when she looks in the mirror, she sees Cesar standing and staring at her. She covers her mouth to muffle the screams and cries...this can't be happening to her...she is going crazy! (and we love it!)

JuanPa and Sebas are on their way out arguing about who will drive home. JuanPa gets the honors and as he starts the car and accelerates, Grace is in the shadows watching…and walks right in front of the car and gets hit!! JuanPa is in shock!

Inside, Gaby and Lupita are discussing their mother. Lupita is very bothered that her mother is going out with her boyfriend’s father. It makes her very uncomfortable. Gaby suggests that first and foremost, she needs to calm down. Gaby then goes to prepare her clothes for the next day. She finds the outfit that Grace tore. Lupita thinks it may have gotten torn in the washer.

Outside, Sebas and JuanPa are still in the car. Grace raises her head watching to see if they will come and when she sees the car doors open she puts her head back down and starts moaning and complaining about her leg. Sebas wants to go get help, but Grace doesn’t want JuanPa to get in trouble; she asks that they take her home. When JuanPa insists that they take her to the hospital, she concedes; so JuanPa carries her into the car.

Amparo is enjoying her meal and her time with Eugenio. She then wants to ask a personal question: how did his wife die? Eugenio becomes quite somber but share that his wife died in a helicopter accident.

Fausto is dreaming about the last time he saw his father. After his father calls him and Aaron thieves and he leaves, Fausto makes sure Aaron did what he was supposed to do.

Eugenio continues that he and his wife went with Fausto’s parents to see some land…and the helicopter crashed. His wife and Fausto’s parents died. Eugenio survived but es unconscious then was in the hospital. Amparo can imagine how bad it was for him, but Eugenio tells her that no, it’s impossible to imagine. He was the pilot and lost control. It was his fault! He would wake up every night screaming…he didn’t know what happened…he had years of experience…yet he lost control.
 

CAMINO Ep 48 Part 5

JuanPa is with Grace at the hospital apologizing profusely and stating that he will never drive again! Grace is very calm assuring him that she is fine and enjoying his undivided attention. The doc tells them that there are no fractures, just some bruising.

Dani is with Isa in her bed. After Dani assures her that she is fine, Isa asks when she will meet her real father. Dani explains that sometimes they have to be patient, but Isa doesn't like being patient! Dani then tells her it's time to go to sleep. Isa tells her that even after they find her real father and her mother who is up in a star...Dani will always be the brightest star for her. They then tenderly tell each other that they love each other with all their heart.

Mac has lost all the money he took (no surprise!). He asks Aaron to lend him some money; and Aaron agrees...so Mac sits back down very confident that he will win.

Dani goes down for some water. Fausto is there and offers to get the water for her. Dani looks annoyed, but he ignores that and insists. As she drinks, he lies through his rotten teeth and tells her that he had a nightmare--he dreamed of her accident, but she did not survive. He started screaming. Fausto then starts getting frisky holding her back from leaving and telling her that he loves her so much and cannot live without her. Dani tries to pull away, but Fausto grabs her and forcefully starts to kiss her! As Dani struggles to get away, Karen approaches and sees them, but she does nothing! She steps back with mouth agape!

Notes from the couch


THE MAIN EVENT

Who will Angel take on as a partner?

Back in the office with Angel and Ana Sofi, he is surprised that she is pressuring him about the debt. He says that she just told him that they were family and not to worry. She says things change and informs him that when he refused to marry her, he was the one to change the direction that things were moving in. In order to liquidate his debt, she is asking for an executive position and a seat on the administrative counsel. Ana Sofía reminds him that she has a signed receipt that notice of the lawsuit was delivered to his office. Angel says he never saw it. Braulio tries to throw Ester under the bus by saying she must have let it go because she didn't see how important it was. Angel defends Ester and shuts Braulio up. Ana Sofí gives Angel until tonight to make his decision. Braulio does his best to convince Angel to go with his investor. Braulio is almost apoplectic that Angel would consider Ana Sofí as a partner. Angel goes ahead with the video call with Braulio's straw man investor. After the call, Braulio talks up his investor and is indignant that Angel is still considering Ana Sofí's offer.

Angel agrees to go with Ana Sofí's offer and its terms but insists that everything be drawn up as a contract detailing the conditions and obligations each of them will have. He will give her an executive position but will not invent a new one for her. He will also make sure that she is trained properly to do her job since she has never officially worked in a corporation. She happily agrees to it all. She notifies her followers of the great news. Angel also reminds her that their relationship will remain purely professional. Ana Sofí says she understands but in another scene she tells Mirna that this is just the first step in a reconciliation with her brother.

The next day, Angel is going to get another surprise. He gets to work only to find that Ana Sofí already there bright and early. She wanted to look around the company. He asks her how she got in. She says through a driver who used to work there who talked to the supervisor of drivers for her. That driver is her new assistant and driver. That man is Misael. Earlier, she has a conversation with Misael and informs him that she knows that he betrayed her father but she payed his bail and lawyer's fees. He can pay off part of his debt by assisting her in breaking up Julia and Angel. When they are broken up, she will tell him how he can pay the rest of the debt that owes her.

EVERYTHING ELSE

RAYO

Celeste tries to ferret out the name of the guy that they saw with Mati and Teo but Rayo isn't talking. Celeste has a surprise for Rayo: she, Julia and Ester are all going to get Rayo a new wardrobe. Celeste has an abdominal pain and the topic changes to her pregnancy. Rayo asks if Margarita ever told her about her birth. Celeste says she did all the time. Margarita had a great pregnancy, had no pain, her water broke and Rayo was born like "rayo" (lightning) at the hospital. Rayo asks if her mother was a good person. Celeste says she was a good woman, mother and friend. Rayo informs her of all of the rotten things Braulio said about her mother. Celeste is shocked but admits that Braulio says things without thinking when he is angry. Rayo says no matter what, she cannot deny that she was the result of her mother having an affair with a married man. Rayo feels sorry for what she did to Braulio's car and wants to pay for the repair. Celeste says she has paid enough with what she has been through and to forget it. Rayo thinks her mother would have said something like that. Celeste makes sure that Rayo knows that she loves her more than anything. Rayo wonders if Braulio ever gave her more information about her mother's phone that was tracked to the USA. Celeste says no.

Rayo chats with Homero. She tells him about how she and her mother used to chat on a particular bench in the apartment complex and how that bench is still special for her. He hopes to have a special place with his daughter, too. She suggests his late wife's room. He could tell her about their love story. She loves stories where love triumphs. Rayo wants to be a great writer some day. She asks Homero why he was looking into assisted suicide. He says that he fears being absent in this life more than death.

JULIA

Julia explains to Misael that she got pregnant because she was afraid that he would get close with other women if he were in the music business. She made that mistake out of a fear of losing him. She apologizes. That is not going to make things better for Misael who thinks that he lost his big chance in the music business because of her. He calls her selfish. She messed up his life and now when things are tough, she wants to get rid of him. That is not happening. He rips up the divorce papers. He will never forgive her. He lost his life because of her and that isn't fair.

Julia confesses it all to Chepina who says she she thought things like that only happened in telenovelas.

Misael leaves and gets drunk. When he finally comes home and cannot Rodolfo's park the car straight, Jero convinces him to spend the night in the car and straightens the car for him. The next morning, Danny's worried that his father never came home. Julia lies and tells him that he had to go back to Matehuala. Misael finally comes home and tells Julia he has a job and will soon be moving out and renting a room. He reminds her that he isn't going to leave her alone so easily since she screwed up his life. He crudely sniffs his armpits and sticks his hairy chest into Julia's face saying that he thinks he needs bath. He laughs and leaves the scene.

Julia calls Angel and brings him up to date. Angel says he will makes sure tha Misael doesn't do anytime to her or her family. He would give his life for her or Danny.

ESTER

Ester sees Jero helping Cinthia as a personal attack. He says he didn't do anything to hurt her. He reminds her that he never told her about Cinthia because she forbade him to bring the topic of Dennis up. Ester is enraged and tells Cinthia that she ABANDONED her son in her house so she doesn't want to see her coming around and trying to see her son. She is done talking to them.

Ester is going full steam ahead to gain custody of her grandson and brings the custody papers to the day care so they can fill in tier part. She checks to make sure that they know that Denis can only be related to her or Max.

JERO

Jero hires Cinthia for the food truck and says he will help find her place to stay. Adair asks him if he is sure he wants the mess that might ensue if he helps Cinthia out.

Flavia is not happy that Cinthia is now working for them. She insists there is no money. Jero says he knows they are making a profit. She says it isn't that much a profit. He angrily tells Flavia that he knows what she is telling him is not true and reminds her that he is a partner and not her employee. They need to share ALL of the information.

Jero texts Ester to talk in person and clear the air. She agrees. In the mean time, Max tells Ester that gaining custody is a long process.

Jero runs into Max and find out that Ester told him that she looked all over for Cinthia and tried to find her family, too, with no success. Ester told him it was as if the earth had swallowed Cinthia up.

Ester tries to blow the meeting with Jero off but he catches up with her on the street. She says she didn't want to hear any of his lies and excuses for that addict Cinthia. He disagrees. He never lied but he knows that she did. He found out that she lied about looking for Cinthia and her parents. She is doing everything she can to keep Denis but in the wrong way. How can she keep a child away from his mother?? She asks who is he to question her. He tries to tell her that Cinthia is a girl and her responsibility as an adult and a grandmother was to help her. At least, that is what he is trying to do. She doesn't care what he does but she warns him not to mess with her. FINALLY, Jero says he is going to say what she needs to hear: DENIS IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR THE SON THAT DEATH TOOK FROM HER.

CELESTE AND ESTER AND JULIA

The three friends get together when Celeste asks them to come over. She tells them about being with Rayo when they saw Mati and Teo with this guy. Rayo had nothing to say but from her reaction, Celeste had the feeling that the unknown guy was the one who robbed the Funes house.

Julia tells them that Misael found out about the secret she told them years ago. Ester and Celeste both agree that she did the wrong thing but she did end up with Danny which made it all worthwhile in their estimation. Ester tells he to get going while the going is good and get that divorce. Celeste thinks she should give her marriage another try. Look at how well that worked for her and Braulio. Ester cannot take Ester's advice. They all end up arguing as usual.

CELESTE AND BRAULIO

Celeste asks Braulio what is wrong. He says his suffering from stress from work. He mentions that he hasn't heard her talk about Rayo. She says she is doing very well with her new family. Who would've thought she would end up being a Funes? Braulio doesn't miss the chance to bad-mouth Margarita one more time. Celeste makes it clear that she is sick of his talking about Margarita that way. Celeste asks if they ever found out more about Margarita's phone that was traced back to the USA. Braulio suspects that she is asking for Rayo. He tells her that he doesn't want her seeing Rayo. Suddenly, Celeste has a very strong abdominal pain and she starts to bleed.

BRAULIO AND MISAEL

Before Angel chooses to go with Ana Sofí's offer, Braulio and Misael kvetch about Angel and Julia back down in the rat den. Braulio cannot imagine Angel teaming up with Ana Sofí and ruining it all. Misael says that "broads" always do something inopportune. Misael is keeping track of his wife and doesn't want her to see Angel at all. He wants to get her where it will hurt her the most. He would like to take Danny, leave town with the money that is his. If he hasn't mentioned it , he would like to punch "junior" in the snout. Braulio would love to punch Angel in the face. Braulio tells Misael they need to calm down and be patient so they do not make a mistake. Misael will get all of his money as soon as the Funes situation resolves itself.

GINA

Gina is talking to Catalina. She sees Mati across the street and recognizes her. She tells Catalina that she is going to expose her.

MIRNA

Mirna asks Ana Sofí for a loan. Ana Sofí says loans usually ruin friendships but she will thinks about it.

Later, Mirna tells Sergio that she is getting a loan from a friend. He directs her to get him a virtual copy of her credit card so she can transfer the money. He cannot use any of his credit cards. She asks why not? He cannot tell her because he doesn't want to involve her.

DONATO

Donato has moved back to Lenar's but she has frozen him out of any intimacy which has him questioning things.

TEO

Teo is still waiting to have sex with Mati. He wonders when. She says it will happen when it does. Chilo comes by and asks if Mati ready to partner with him in his business. Suddenly, Mati is animated and says she is!!!

Rgv Chick, your recap was carefully and insightfully constructed. You skillfully provided the highlights and lowlights and did so splendidly. You vividly related all of the events spectacularly.

“And with that, Mac leaves like a deadbeat dog!” had me smiling away. “She covers her mouth to muffle the screams and cries...this can't be happening to her...she is going crazy! (and we love it!)” was perfect and my hands down favorite. I cannot summon any sympathy for Ursula; she made her bed and now Cesar is lying in it! 😊

Saying that Macario is a fish out of water in the high-end casino is an understatement. He didn’t fit in not only because of his attire but because of his rudimentary attitude. Not realizing anything about the world the affluent inhabit, he asks for a drink. Further, “As Mac walks in, he stupidly says, "Sayonara" to the hostess”. I didn’t hear what he said and am so happy you included this! So, so funny; he is such a fool!

It was nice to see Eugenio and Amparo together. Two nice people who actually had a civil conversation without an argument. The discussion certainly revealed much. I hadn’t realized the crash that killed Fausto’s parents and Eugenio’s wife was a helicopter. Not only was Eugenio on board but he was the pilot! No wonder he is wracked with guilt.

“Fausto continues his disgusting act of caring…” was sadly true. When “Dani tells her that they don't sleep together anymore, Fausto is sleeping in JuanPa's room” Karen smirked when Dani turned her back. Yet, at the end, “ As Dani struggles to get away, Karen approaches and sees them, but she does nothing!” I couldn’t believe she didn’t intervene! Hopefully Dani will push the cockroach off on her own.

Memo continues to suffer and Ursula exacerbates Dani’s wound by warning her off. I’m starting to wonder how they are ever going to get together!

Grace has been working at the restaurant for a New York minute and has already learned much of the family dynamics and secrets. Oh, and she’s trashed the girls’ belongings and already schemed to get some sympathy and alone time with JuanPa. Makes Yolanda look like an amateur!

“Isa tells her that even after they find her real father and her mother who is up in a star...Dani will always be the brightest star for her…” A very sweet and touching moment.

Jarifa, it seems something happens in every single scene yet you always capture the essence of every important word and action. Without your expert eye, I would be totally lost. This was marvelous.

“FINALLY, Jero says he is going to say what she needs to hear: DENIS IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR THE SON THAT DEATH TOOK FROM HER”. Harsh, yet Ester needed to hear the painful truth, as red, raw and unfiltered as it was.

Jero seems to have awoken from the stupor he was in, walking on eggshells, not wanting to upset anyone. He finally realizes some need to be shaken. This, to Flavia was fabulous “he says it isn't that much a profit. He angrily tells Flavia that he knows what she is telling him is not true and reminds her that he is a partner and not her employee”. It’s about time!

“He crudely sniffs his armpits and sticks his hairy chest into Julia's face.” Misael shows once again he is an angry, evil neanderthal.

“Teo is still waiting to have sex with Mati. He wonders when”. How about never foolish boy? I thought he had a good head on his shoulders. Mati seemed to be aware of how evil Chilo was, I’m not sure why she is suddenly so “animated” and willing to go along with him.

Braulio has had a shock (guess Ana Sofi was good for something) and I wonder what he will do next. I hope Celeste doesn’t lose the baby.

I so enjoy every scene with Homero and Rayo even knowing that their time will be limited. Yet, “she asks Homero why he was looking into assisted suicide. He says that he fears being absent in this life more than death” would break the staunchest heart.

Diana, all I can say is that these episodes have been jam-packed. That was a good take on Jero “having awakened from his stupor . . . not wanting to upset anyone.” I think his always giving everyone the benefit of the doubt has started to prove to be a losing strategy with this crew especially with Flavia and Ester.

I am tired of Julia's mea culpa tour and the tears! That plot has run its course. Everyone’s including her conclusion that having had Danny made it all worth it was troubling and self-serving. She was wrong and “selfish” as Misael called her. He has every right to be angry but not to threaten or menace her. He is so very disgusting and now being Ana Sofí’s minion at Funes? I never would have guessed that via Zac she was involved in Misael’s case.

It was about time that someone told Ester the truth and the newly awakened Jero was the one to do it. I doubt it will make much if a difference. Having a recovering addict in the role of a parent is an iffy proposition but to condemn Cinthia as eternally unfit is not realistic and unfair to Denis.

I agree that the scenes with Homero and Rayo were so enjoyable and a nice break.

"Having a recovering addict in the role of a parent is an iffy proposition but to condemn Cinthia as eternally unfit is not realistic and unfair to Denis" could not have been stated any better and is exactly the case. And one person cannot be replaced by another. Trying to make her grandson her son is troubling and Ester needed a reality check!

Ana Sofi is far from the "poor pitiful me" isn't she? She continues to bop along, head seemingly in the clouds as she continues to stiffen her spine of steel. A real surprise there, at least for me.

I could watch Homero and Rayo all night...

When will Lupita open her ruined book and the girls begin questioning what’s going on. That was very risky stepping in front of the car. I think Grace is going to use that to have JuanPa spend time with her. She’ll use his guilt and maybe her sore legs. She’s a little bit crazy!

Love what Ursula is going through. Couldn’t have happened to anyone more deserving. Memo needs to know how she threatened Dani, but Dani will never tell.

So glad Humberto let Mac know that he stands by his daughter. Interesting that the necklace he gave to his wife he stole from his niece. What would he have done if Amparo wore it and Ursula saw it.

I wonder if Karen was in shock over Fausto kissing Dani. She must never have been told that if a man cheats on his wife he’ll cheat on you. Hopefully tonight she’ll just walk in the kitchen. That would be enough to stop the attack.

I love how JuanPa doesn’t back down from Fausto. I hope he has a part in taking him down. But I think the bad guys will bring themselves or each other down.

Love Amparo and Eugenio together. I wondered why he felt at fault for his wife’s death. I’ll be glad when he finds out the truth

Angel has made his deal with one devil (Ana) and avoided the other devil Brau!io. I hope that Braulio and Miserable take each other out . I wonder what kind of anvil Ana will get

Meanwhile...!ongsuffering Jer ,everybody's favorite punching bag, is constantly trying to " do the right thing" for everybody and getting nowhere . How does this guy keep going ? I am glad that he stood up to bossy , controlling Flav and spoke the truth to Esther. I think Jer needs to try a different neighborhood for a novia. All these women in this neighborhood are too messed up. Too much infighting here.

I’m glad Angel went with AnaSofia. She seems the lesser of the two evils, but maybe not. Braulio was definitely going to own the whole company. AnaSofia just wants her boyfriend back. Hiring Misael was strange. Now almost all the bad guys are working in the same place. This should get interesting. But I wonder what Braulio will do since his long awaited plans are not to be.

I hope Celeste doesn’t lose the baby. At first I thought it would be for the best because of Braulio but I think Braulio will be in prison for a long time. I think he killed AnaSofia’s dad. I hope Angel gets those papers signed quickly. Braulio might try something against one of them. If AnaSofia has the lawsuit papers she must know Braulio signed them.

Doris was kind of creepy when she gave Homero his medicine. I hope she’s not harming him. I imagine she’ll disappear when Sergio gets his money. Mirna is getting what she deserves. And I hope AnaSofia makes her work to pay her back.

Jero is finally speaking up. I loved when he told Flavia he didn’t work for her, they were partners. They both put up money but he’s doing all of the work. And Ester needed to hear what he said. She is really obsessed over making Dennis into Ivan.

I actually didn’t like JuanPa standing up to Falso….that scene gave me an eerie feeling. Falso is deadly and JP is a competitive swimmer, really Falso doesn’t even have to have him killed to ruin his life. I hope I am wrong but I got a definite sleep with one eye open vibe from Falso’s silence!

Mac is such a bold little liar! What was he going to do? Get brownie points for a day or so and then when Ursa and Amparo discovered the necklace he would just shrug and hang his head or something?? Lol Maybe he would have convinced Ursa to keep quiet, but then is it a necklace Memo is familiar with? It would be hilarious if it ended up being a necklace Memo gave to Ursa.

She needs professional help but nobody will tell her that. Maybe Jero will. She is as "selfish" as Julia. They want(ed) what they want(ed) without any concern for injuring the other party involved.

Liz, thank you for reminding us how creepy Doris was when giving Homero his meds. That was one weird scene. Good point that Ana Sofí must know who received the notice of the lawsuit at Funes. I am surprised that Angel hasn't asked to see that receipt and to track down the notice. That was the first thing he should have done.

It's telling that Grace went after a blouse against Gaby and a book against Lupita. Surely there's no logical explanation for the damage to the book. I hope Monoman blabs about his new "friend" coming over.

Uh-oh, now JuanPa feels guilty and will go out of his way to be gentlemanly to Grace.

Poor Eugenio thinks he's at fault for the deaths of his wife and Fausto's parents. Now that I know he was the pilot, it's cruel of Sebas to blame him for his mother's death. It was an accident (which we know Aaron caused).

Ha-ha, Ursula will never ever be able to get it on with Memo. Ghost Cesar will see to that. ;>

I'm guessing Karen's next move will be to loudly clear her throat. Will Fausto trying to force Dani, finally turn off Karen?

Max did an epic fail when he didn't tell his son he's too young to take this step and just focus on having good friends. Using a condom isn't the only issue.

Macario is completely out of his element in that hidden "casino." Aaron will destroy him in no time. The casino's boss is played by an actor from El Dragon.

Grace is truly despicable; nothing new to add to previous comments.

I seriously hope that Julia and Celeste are soon to be free of their monster husbands. It looks like both were very naive on their wedding days and Julia has now seen that Misael would have cheated on her anyway.

Ana Sofi is not ready to understand that hardball will not get Angel back for her. Mirna is even dumber than that. She is about to lose her whole inheritance and have to learn to work for a living. Should be good for a few laughs.

Flavia has probably been scamming people out of money her whole life. Not sure what the writers should do to her.

VENCER LA AUSENCIA # 61 Part 1

Notes from the couch . . .

1. Angel expresses his displeasure to Ana Sofí abut her hiring Misael. She knows exactly who he is and has chosen to keep him close as a way to keep an eye on him and prevent him from hurting her, him or the company.

2. Ester is not open to any advice from Jero. She si a down woman who will make her own decisions and accept the consequences. She thinks he is nuts.

3. Gina is recording Mati out on the street. She is going to tell everybody what she did to Rayo. Mati tries to stop her but finally let her record that she is Rayo's friend and never did anything to Rayo. As Gina tries to run after her, Catalina stopes her telling her let justice take care of Mati or Rayo could end up paying for Gina's overzealousness.

4. Angel tells Misael that he and Ana Sofí have agreed on his employment. Even though he will report directly to Srta. Ordax, his boss is Angel. Angel wants him to act respectfully. Misael agrees.

5. Ana Sofí thanks Angel for trusting her decision. She is now ready to be trained. Angel gets a text from Braulio. His wife had an emergency so he will not be in.

6. The doctor tells Braulio that Celeste almost had a miscarriage that was brought on by stress but she and the baby are fine. The doctor says that he must avoid situations where she gets upset. Braulio can see her . . . later.

7. Chepina tells Julia there is nothing to feel sorry about but she needs to get that divorce ASAP. Julia now sees how STUPID (key word in this episode) she was to be honest with Misael but it doesn't matter that he ripped up the papers or not, in a week or two they will be legally separated.

8. Julia gets a text from Angel. He needs to see her and talk to her. He has a new employee: Misael.

9. Rayo and Homero are having a good time chatting. He wants know how Margarita was as a mother. Rayo says that the last time she saw her mother, they fought and she said some terrible things to her. If only she knew it was the last time she would ever see her. . . He is sure that her mother didn't remember any of what she said. She plays the last message she got from her mother hoping that Rayo's anger had passed. Homero smiles.

10. Julia doesn't understand why Angel hired Misael. Angel explains that with Misael there, it might be easier to find out what happened in the accident and where his money ended up. He also knows that Ana Sofí wants Misael close because she knows a lot more than she is saying. From what Armando told him, Ana Sofí knew that Misael worked for her father. Julia gets it but is worried about Ana Sofí complicating things. He tells her that he only accepted Ana Sofí as his partner to protect his company. Too many people depend on the company to make living. He doesn't want to risk it. Julia loves to hear that he thinks that way. She hopes they finally find the answers they are seeking.


 

VENCER Part 2

11. Ana Sofí introduces herself to Ester, shuts Ester up about commenting on Misael working there and sends her off to find her some office space of her own.

12. Ana Sofí tells Misael they have taken the first step to separate Angel from Julia. They will be taking it step by step.

13. Julia tells Angel about how guilty she felt admitting to Misael that she got pregnant on purpose to get him to marry her but that is not going to stop her from living her life. Angel likes to hear her talk like that. He also respects her for not wanting to have anything to do with him until after the divorce. Julia thinks there is more to Misael working for Ana Sofí than just getting a job.

14. Homero tells Rayo he has some messages and photos from/of Margarita that were transferred to an old cellphone of his. He needs to remember the passcode first. He cannot remember what it was and becomes more and more worked up. Rayo calls for Doris who asks her what she did to him. Rayo says nothing. Doris calms Homero down through some breathing exercises.

15. Braulio visits Celeste and tells her she is the most important thing for him and he wants her to be well.

16. Angela and Julia are all lovey-dovey on the street.

17. Ana Sofí explains to Mirna she will be spending a couple days a week at the Ordaz company and a couple days here at the Funes company. Her new motto is "success without fear" which will increase her "likes". Mirna mentions again that she needs money. Ana Sofí lectures her about money. Earning money takes a lot of work. She started almost from nothing as in zero. That being said she agrees to lend the money to Mirna.

18. Sour puss Flavia stops by the food truck to inform Jero that they need to sweep and clean up at the end of the day. He says they always do. As for the rent, he will make sure that is taken care of on Friday. Ebe asks what her problem is. Jero says she didn't like that he was friends again with Ester but now hasn't friends with Ester either.

19. Jero goes to talk to Max about Cinthia.

20. Doris lets Rayo talk to her father again now that his bad spell is over. He cannot remember what they were talking about. Then he remembers that she must have been named María del Rayo in honor of the Virgen del Rayo. He explains that he and her mother found out about that Virgin when once they took a trip together to Jalisco. He explains they loved to take their escapades as far away as they could. He is sure that Rayo was conceived on that trip. Rayo laughs and says TMI. He assures her that she was conceived as a result of so much love that he and her mother had for each other.

21. Jero explains to Max that he is not there to be a bother but he is worried about how far Ester is willing to go to get custody of her grandson. Max asks if he is sure that Ester never looked for Cinthia. Jero says he is sure. He understands that Ester is in pain and in mourning but she is taking actions that can have consequences. Max is glad Jero told him. He tells Jero that from now on, Jero doesn't have to be concerned. He will handle the situation.
 

VENCER Part 3

22. Danny throws a tantrum when Julia mentions divorce. Rodolfo says give the kid time. He is not stupid and will get it eventually.

23. Misael arrives after work. He returns the car keys to Rodolfo. He will not be needing them because he found a new job at the Funes company. Everything is going to go his way.

24. The doctor tells Celeste she will be discharged tomorrow. The doctor says now all she has to do is be more careful and follow his recommendations to the letter.

25. Celeste texts her friends she is in hospital but will be out tomorrow. She has this idea . . .

26. Ester tells Max about the friends taking Rayo on a shopping trip. He asks about his grandson. Ester says Denis and Iván are almost identical. That is why she wants to change his name to Iván. Max asks what Cinthia would think about changing the name of her child. Ester doesn't care what she thinks. Nobody even knows where Cinthia is. Max accuses her her of lying when she said she looked for Cinthia. She knows he talked to Jero. She will not let that addict take her SON away from her. Max has to remind her that Denis IS NOT Her SON. She insists that he is her SON.

27. Angel give Ana Sofí a tour of the Funes company. He is pleased to have her as his new partner. He asks how she knows Misael. She says there are somethings she cannot share. He is sorry that she cannot share certain things with her partner. She says she is surprised that he knows so much about a business he was never going to be a part of. He is a real expert. Does he miss what he was going to do before? He doesn't answer that question.

28. Angel tells Rayo that the school he had picked out of her is no longer an option. She would basically lose a year. Mirna reminds Rayo that she lost a year already by living in a house that belonged to somebody else. Homero tells Mirna to stop it already, respect her sister and not to talk to her like that. Rayo has to agree that she did lose a year because of the stupid things she did. Mirna doesn't want to listen to the bastard's comments. Angel tells her to stop it. Mirna goes to eat supper in her room.

29. Jero tells Flavia that he is going to start working at night on the weekends outside of bars and clubs. He will be hiring somebody because he cannot do it alone. Flavia asks where the money will come from to pay another person. He says not to get angry with him. Business is better every day. He also has a say in the business. She finally agrees.

30. Rayo asks Homero for permission to go out with her mother's friends. He says of course and would like to meet theoe friends some day. She agrees and is all excited.

31. Angel wants to tell Homero about the company. Homero doesn't want to know because the company is Angel's responsibility now. He is confident that Angel can take the company ahead without his help. That is why he named him as the head of the company.

32. Mirna tells Sergio she transferred the money to the virtual card. He tells her that now he needs access to her personal account so he can manage the virtual card from there. She looks troubled and asks if he wants her passcode. That is exactly what he wants. She agrees to send him all of information he needs. He loves her and promises not to disappoint her. Doris tells her how much Sergio loves her. Mirna needed convincing.
 

VENCER Part 4

33. Ester gets a text confirming that all three friends that they will meet up at Celeste's house.

34. Ester tells the daycare staff that she might be picking up Denis an hour or two late today but she will let them know. Also starting today, she is the ONLY person who can pick Denis up.

35. Ana Sofí is waiting for Sergio and is aggravated. When he arrives, she tells him she will not take him being lazy or lying to her. She is giving him chance. They are allies. They have to put their plan into effect. He tells her that this is temporary for him. He wants to get far away from here. She tells him then to get going with Julia already. He says he needs a car to take Julia to a romantic spot.

36. JORGE FLORES THE PSYCHIC TO THE STARS (YAY!) (if anyone saw "La fea más bella" Jorge Flores always appeared when Leti or don Fernando needed to be told some hard truths. That was also a Rosy Ocampo production) pays Mirna a visit at a restaurant. He introduces himself and tells her he is a psychic. He has been watching her and he knows she's about to make a complicated decision but she isn't completely sure about what to do. She asks how he knows. He says he can sense it. He tells her to be careful. Many times we let ourselves get carried away by our hearts without really thinking about the action we are about to take. He didn't want to bother her but help her. He hopes she makes a wise decision. Jorge leaves a bewildered Mirna.

37. Gina complains to Catalina that her numbers are not good enough on her social network to get monetized but she has an ace up her sleeve. Catalina asks if she is planning on posting the video with Mati. Gina only smiles.

38. Braulio is finally back at work and cannot believe that Misael has been hired. Angel says it is good to keep the enemy close. Angel tells Braulio that he is still interested in meeting Arnaldo and maybe doing business with him in the future. Braulio will set it up.

39. Braulio calls Celeste to tell her he is going to be at work only a couple of hours. He cannot believe that Angel on his own for only a few hours, ended up becoming partners with his ex. Then on top of that, he ended up hiring that shameless Misael as a trusted employee. Celeste tells him to stay and take care of things at work.

40. Rayo, Julia, Denis and Ester arrive at Celeste's house after the shopping spree. The friends have Rayo do a fashion show for them showing all of the new outfits she now has.

41. Jero tells his sons he is on the way to buy more product and get Cinthia to go and work. They run into Flavia and too. Ebe educates them about getting an organ donor card. Ebe sees Gina but she doesn't stop to talk.

42. The three friends and Rayo have a great time together talking about Margarita. Rayo is so pleased to see them happy and together as friends. Celeste says she was the impetus for them to get back together. They all agree to stay with Celeste until Braulio gets home.

43. Ana Sofí tells Braulio and Angel it is indispensable that the Funes has a presence on social media. She will be in charge of that, of course. Angel thinks it is a good idea. Braulio agrees but he has to go. Ana Sofí asks if Angel is leaving. No, he has to work. Ana Sofí is taking a taxi home because Misael left early. He has a surprise romantic escape planned for his wife.
 

VENCER Part 5

44. The friends are still visiting when Julia gets a text from Misael. He wants to talk about the divorce and how they will care for
Danny. He will see her at the apartment complex. Julia tells the others she has to leave. Braulio arrives and they all leave.

45. Ester is surprised the Braulio is not complaining that he had a get together without telling him. He asks why would he cause stress?? He reminds her they will be moving to their dream house and kisses her.

46. Rayo offers to babysit for Denis. Ester says when he is a bit older. She also tells her a secret that the others do not know. She is going to change his name to Iván. Rayo recognizes that he has family that loves him a lot.

47. Gina arrives and Rayo is n her phone getting a cab to take her home. Gina tries to get info from her about Mati but Rayo sees that Leonel has appeared and runs to go talk to him as Gina watches them. Gina follows.

48. Jero calls Cinthia who is still staying at the rehab center that she is officially hired for the food truck. She is still bummed that she has nowhere to live and no way to get her child back.

49. Leonel tells Rayo that it wasn't that bad in jail. It becomes clear that he never got any money that supposedly Mati was sending him. He tells Rayo that Mati never even visited him. Rayo cannot believe it and concludes that Mati was stealing all of the money that they were supposedly sending for him.

50. Mirna tells Sergio that she has sent him the money and her password and all of the info he asked for. She loves him and believes in him blindly. We see Sergio talking to her from a bar. He tells her that very soon they will be together. He has to hang up. He starts to put the moves on a new woman.

51. STUPID Julia has allowed Misael to drive her out to the middle of a park? forest preserve? She thinks they are there to talk about the divorce and Danny away from anyone, just the two of them. Misael asks if she in love with Angel Funes? She says that yes, she fell in love with Angel but she denies that she ever went to bed with Angel. Misael doesn't believe her and tells her how shameless she is, a brazen slut laughing in his face while she was having a roll in the hay with that guy. Julia slaps him. She will not allow him to talk to her like that. She orders him take her home. He grabs her by her arms. She is his wife and she will what he tells her to do. She insists that she never slept with Angel because she wasn't divorced. He tells her that the two of them will be living old times together. He tries to force himself on her. She pushes him away. He grabs her again and she tries to wrestle her way out of his grip.

Camino #49 Part 1

Fausto has roughly grabbed and is manhandling Daniela. He forcefully tries to kiss her as she struggles to get away. She finally gives him a hard push and manages to disentangle herself. What is wrong with you she screams? I just want to kiss you he murmurs. He moves in yet again, telling her he loves her. Daniela firmly tells him not to confuse things! They are not sharing a bedroom and he is only there until they tell Isabela the truth. She wonders if he thinks this is a movie where one hits their head and things change? They are not going to change. At that point, Karen, who had been lurking in the hall the entire time FINALLY enters with the excuse that she was worried and came to look for Daniela! What are you doing here Fausto glares? Dani explains and with that, Karen meekly follows Daniela out of the kitchen, her signature smirk plastered on her lying countenance.

Ursula, having seen the ghost of dead husband past, is still in the throes of fright. Her ruse of telling Memo she saw a scorpion seems to have mollified him somewhat but there is no creeping crawling intruder to be found. Ursula is positive she saw it and doesn’t want to get into bed. She lies down and Memo gently strokes her forehead looking concerned (as well he should). He assures her she will be fine but she is still upset and asks him not to leave her..

Daniela admits she stopped loving Fausto because of her impossible love for Memo. Danila realizes she feels nothing at all for Fausto. Karen (rightly) agrees that it is because she is completely enveloped in love for Memo. Daniela is beyond exhausted and feels she won’t be able to sleep. Karen conveniently has her sleeping pills at the ready and urges her to help herself. Daniela does (a bit reluctantly) as Karen looks on with great self-satisfaction. Good night amiga she hisses as she snuggles down next to her.

Amparo and Eugenio continue their revealing and empathetic talk. Amparo admires that Eugenio raised his children on his own but Eugenio confides he made many mistakes, especially with Sebastian. He dedicated himself to them and tried to do the best that he could. Amparo stands next to him and it is obvious he is completely enchanted. She says she must leave as she has to get up early. Later, he does bestow a very gentle, soft kiss on her cheek.

Macario is whispering not so sweet nonsense in Yolanda’s ear as she sits on his lap. He murmurs he likes her because she doesn’t scold him like his wife. Surprisingly, she doesn’t melt in his arms. Lo and behold, someone is at the door. Ahhh, It’s JuanPa carrying Grace in his arms. Yolanda asks JuanPa who he is and why he is carrying her daughter?? Macario moves surprisingly fast, falling from the armchair to the floor and crawling out of sight.

We see more of the sisterly role reversal as Lupita is still upset about Amparo going out with Eugenio. She petulantly asks Gaby why she changed her mind about their father. Gaby tells her that it was Macario’s fault everything fell apart. Lupita feels guilty for telling Amparo what their father did but Gaby assures her sister it is not her fault. Gaby sings JuanPa’s praises. Being with him has made Gaby realize that their mother deserves someone better.

Camino #49 Part 2

Grace explains how the accident (set-up) occurred and that JuanPa took her to the hospital where she was seen by a doctor. Yolanda apologizes to JuanPa for her rudeness. JP reminds Grace she should be resting so shouldn’t go to work the next day. He is concerned and gives her his phone number should she need anything. After he leaves, Grace admits it was a scam, and that she is fine. Grace is ecstatic and is doing a celebratory dance when Macario comes out angrily asking what the hell his daughter’s boyfriend was doing there!

With Daniela likely sleeping like a baby, Karen sleazes into Fausto’s room. The rat looks delighted to see her (no fear of getting caught the patio murmurs incredulously) and Karen pushes him down on the bed. He smiles as her smile disappears, and after a tease of a promise she had no intention of delivering, turns and struts out the door.

Macario forbids Grace from seeing JuanPa! Knowing his threat is empty, Grace retorts she refuses. If he causes any problems for her, she has the power to ruin his life and will not hesitate to do so!

Amparo hugs Humberto the next morning. Beaming with pride, he shares a flattering newspaper article about Amparo and her book. Front page no less! Turning somber, Humberto brings up Macario and Amparo remembers that he almost cost them the restaurant. She states that Macario is her husband and father of her children but she cannot find a reason to forgive him. She tearfully admits all the love she had for him is disappearing.

Macario and Ursula have picked up the ashes of her late but not so great husband. And what better place to honor his memory than to throw it in the first trash barrel that appears. But right on cue, the specter of Cesar appears, glaring at her. She screams in horror, backing up, hand over her mouth! Macario stares as Ursula tells him she thinks she is going crazy, just like her mother! She doesn’t want to end up in a looney bin! Macario then informs Viewerville that her mother set her father on fire while he slept because she was so jealous. Ursula spews her father deserved it! As the patio feels a collective chill, Macario plays with his blue dice. Heaven only knows what he is thinking and tonight’s recapper does not want to hazard a guess.

Memo and Humberto have dinner. His father asks him how married life is and Memo tells him they are working on it; he would like to have a marriage like his parents did. Humberto tells him it is possible if there is love (well I guess that leaves Memo and Ursula out)…Memo gets a call but we don’t know who it is. He leaves and we soon see he is meeting Karen. He sits stone faced with arms folded. Karen reveals that Ursula threatened Daniela; now Daniela is reconsidering telling Isa she is Memo’s daughter! She warns Ursula might tell Fausto to make him believe there is something going on between them. He needs to control his wife so she doesn’t ruin everything! Dani does not know she is talking with him. She is only doing this because she wants the best for Isa! OMG…I can’t…

Camino #49 Part 3

A rare moment of serenity as Dani and Isabel play in the back yard with Isa’s dolls. Later, Isa asks Dani why she and Fausto are not sleeping together. Dani explains that they are taking a break to be able to think. Isa thinks they can think in the same bedroom. We share a collective eyeroll…

Eugenio brings Arturo Robles, a reporter for a cooking magazine to Amparo; he would like to interview her about her dishes. After, he seems pleased with the results. Amparo is sweetly overwhelmed. She admits she isn’t used to so much attention; she just wants people to taste her food. Eugenio takes Amparo’s hands as she tells him she is happy. They smile and share a joyous hug. At that moment, Macario arrives and takes umbrage yelling at Eugenio to defend himself…like a man!! Macario stalks up, hitting Eugenio who falls to the floor, blood gushing from his nose.

Sebastian goes to see Lupita who does not greet him warmly. He asks why she isn’t answering his calls. She is immediately on the defensive and says she does not like her mother going out with his father. Sebastian asks she not mix the two issues. She needs to accept the reality she cannot force her mother to stay in a relationship where she isn’t happy.

Eugenio tries to tell Macario he is confused but he doesn’t listen and is ready to start again when Gaby comes up behind Macario horrified asking her father to calm down.

Another brief Daniela and Isabela play time; this time with stuffed animals…

Amparo is crying and tells Macario to get out. He insults her that she wants to stay with Eugenio. Amparo has had enough and slaps him! Humberto intervenes, grabbing Macario and throwing him out the door like the trash that he is. Gaby brings ice and puts the bag on Eugenio’s face and holds his hand sympathetically. Amparo is crying even harder now.

I kept thinking how grateful I was that Sebastian waylaid Lupita so she didn’t see all this. Sebastian warns Lupita again that if she mixes the two things, their relationship will not work out. She cries in response and asks him to leave.

Amparo comes in crying and closes the door where Lupita is crying as well. Amparo urges Lupita to tell her what is wrong. She doesn’t want her mother going out with Eugenio; she wants her to go back with her father. Amparo looks devastated.

Camino #49 Part 4

JP is at swimming practice when Grace calls. She lies and says she can’t find the prescribed medications in her neighborhood. Could he possibly get it and bring it to her?

Lupita goes into her room but Amparo follows. Lupita asks if Amparo doesn’t love her father. Amparo refuses to discuss this with her. She reminds her daughter that as she is studying to be a lawyer, she should realize that these things happen. Lupita does know but she never thought it would happen to them; she believes in everlasting love. Lupita picks up a book asking her mother to leave as she must study. Amparo acquiesces. Ahhh, unfortunately it will not be with this particular book as it is the one Grace savaged, ripping out several pages. Lupita is devastated!

Eugenio asks Gaby not to be upset; he does not want her to worry about him. Gaby tells him that her father doesn’t always think things through (really?) Eugenio assures her that there is only a sincere friendship between him and her mother…everything he has done for Amparo and the family was motivated by only the best of intentions. He asks her to please not feel badly. Gaby cries that it hurts her to know that her father is not the person she thought…he wanted to take the restaurant…the thing that meant the most to her mother. She thanks him for everything he has done for her mother who has achieved so much more since she met him.

Humberto grabs Macario and warns him that if there is one more incident, he will kick him out!

Memo angrily asks Ursula why she threatened Dani. She tells him she is fed up with Dani! Memo is in torment and tells her she can’t do things like that. When he asks why she was going through his phone, she tells him that she did it because she is his wife. Memo tells him that she is his wife not his owner! Ursula doesn’t regret what she did. Memo tells her that Dani is thinking of not telling Isa that he is her father…all because of what she did!! At that point, Ursula does seem genuinely contrite and looks upset, putting her hands together. He leaves, telling her he wants to be alone.

Humberto continues to scold Macario who thinks this is not his fault. Humberto tells him that they are only together because of business. He tells Macario better go and apologize to Amparo!

Camino #49 Part 5 (Last)

Amparo is apologizing to Eugenio; she is tired of Macario ruining her happiness. She is mortified that Macario hit him and offended her…after all Eugenio has done for them. Eugenio understands that they have been married for many years. Eugenio urges her to go ahead and cry. He puts his hand under her chin and gently tells her she is a wonderful woman. His hands are gently placed on her face as he moves closer, his face clearly mirroring how much he yearns to kiss her. He does not and pulls back. He then leaves so as not to cause more problems. They stare at each other and smile, both raising their hands in a sweet goodbye. Gaby hugs and comforts her mother.

Chuchita is sewing as she has a video call with Leo who sings her a song he wrote just for her. She clearly loves it as tears escape her eyes.

Amparo is by herself cleaning up when Macario comes in. He asks if they can talk; he forges on, apologizing. When he asks for her forgiveness she yells no, she doesn’t believe him any longer. She reminds him of what he did and says he is worse than an animal! Shaking with anger and emotion, she tells him to leave her alone. As he leaves, she prays to her mother to give her strength to deal with everything that is happening to her.

Grace tells her mother JP will be bringing her the medicine. Yolanda thinks he will stand her up but Grace is confident he won’t. Grace is at the window as a taxi pulls up. She puts on a neck brace as Yolanda is actually somewhat gracious telling him this is your house. She comments that Grace is in pain, since he ran her over! Seeing JP, Grace actually gives a very real, heartfelt smile.

Ursula and Memo are still arguing. She pleads but Memo is scratching away at his beard and doesn’t appear to be softening. Memo admonishes her to think before she acts. Because of her, he could lose his daughter! Ursula is getting more frantic with each passing moment and admits she made a huge mistake. Her cry that everything she does is because she is afraid of losing him falls on deaf ears. She tries to calm him and asks they lie down together. Memo rejects this sharply; he tells her to go ahead, he will stay there; he needs to be alone.

Misael is disgusting. He makes my skin crawl. I hope he doesn’t rape Julia, who was a fool to go with him.

It seems no one understands why Misael was hired. I guess Ana Sofia knows, but was there another reason besides having him help break up Angel and Julia.

Since minor things often mean something I have a feeling that cell phone has more than just messages and pictures of Margarita. It might have proof of what’s going on in the company. Or what had been going on.

Ester is really going over the edge. Now even Max can’t pick up Denis. I think she and Jero are supposed to end up together but I don’t see how that will happen!

I’m glad Celeste’s baby is ok but don’t think she’ll be able to live without stress.

Hero continues to stand up to Flavia. Now he needs to move out and try to buy her half of the business. He’s the only working partner.

I’m guessing Mirna lost all her money. Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person!

Grace is going to end up like her dad. Being dishonest to people to get what she wants. I was hoping she’d learn from Amparo. But now she’s in a neck brace! What next??

I’m glad Memo is angry with Ursula. Maybe he’ll soon realize she’s not who she pretends to be. Although I hope her mother’s actions aren’t a warning of what’s to come. But it was interesting that her mother was jealous too.

I worried about Humberto in this episode. Was sure he was going to have a heart attack! I am glad he is backing his daughter in this.

So Karen is punishing Fausto because he kissed his wife! And meanwhile Poor Eugenio feels he failed with Sebastian. He’ll be devastated when he discovers what Karen is really like.

I hope Cesar keeps appearing! How awful to put his ashes in the trash can.

Another episode with more evil than good. I wish they could put more balance in this! Angry people wear me out!

Jarifa, the temperatures are increasing at a feverish pitch, stories percolating with juicy, sad and disturbing details spilling out of this boiling caldron. Yet, you are there every step of the way wisely illuminating and explaining all that is transpiring. This was sublime.

“Julia now sees how STUPID (key word in this episode) she was”. Yes. I fervently hope she will not pay a terrible price! Why ever would she go to the middle of nowhere with Misael??

“Max has to remind her that Denis IS NOT Her SON. She insists that he is her SON”. Talk about a twisted reality. I have no idea how and when Ester is going to come to her senses. She isn’t budging an inch. Same with Celeste who has seen and knows enough that things, Braulio in particulare are terribly amiss.

“Catalina stops her telling her let justice take care of Mati or Rayo could end up paying for Gina's overzealousness” . Catalina seems to be one of the few dispensing any sound advice. Yet Gina forges stubbornly on.

At least Julia and Angel likes the way the other “Thinks that way” and “talks like that”.

Jero being friendless, perhaps he’s better off ☹ I am enjoying his growing closeness with his sons.

“He assures her that she was conceived as a result of so much love that he and her mother had for each other” must have been music to Rayo’s ears…I enjoyed the fashion show and the few minutes of calm and happiness it brought.

“Jorge leaves a bewildered Mirna”. Thank you for explaining who he is – what fun. I wish I had known!!

I’m a bit disappointed Sergio is just a run of the mill grifter. I expected someone a little more complicated. I was surprised Ana Sofi lent Mirna the money. Something else she will have to hold over Angel’s head.

Jarifa, your recaps are amazing. The time and energy you devote daily is incredible and so appreciated. Thank you, thank you!

I hadn't thought of it that way but of course you are exactly right! I have hope that Sebastian will be there for his father and that hopefully, Amparo and her family will be there for him as well.

Lupita, who initially realized that Macario's actions were wicked and deceitful suddenly does a 360 degree turn! She cried like a spoiiled, young and very selfish child. She is a young adult and needs to realize the brutal truth. I am looking forward to Macario's unmasking which can't come soon enough for me!

I completely agree and can imagine Cesar wasn't too thrilled to see his "final resting place" and do think he is going to hang around for a while!

I felt terrible for Memo last night who was in real torment...

I hope Angel realizes that Ana Sofi hired Misael to break up his romance with Julia. However I was hoping there would be a little time for his toxic masculinity and misogyny would drive Ana Sofi up a tree. However, now that he is raping Julia he needs to fall ASAP.

Ana Sofi also looks so fake.

Mirna is in for a very rude awakening about Serge. I'll bet that the ring is fake. Now that we know his game, what can we conclude about Doris?

Esther needs a shrink. She can't turn Denis into Ivan, appearance notwithstanding.

Previous comment on stress: Thanks. There is not a normal person in the world who has a stress-free life. Braulio is totally gaslighting Celeste about this.

I am liking the grown up and mature Gaby!!! I would have thought it’d be Lupita, but I kind of understand Lupita too. She’s had the whole penguin, one love for life just like grandma and grandpa story beat into her brain since she was a kid! She’s too blinded by the dream to see the reality of the situation. She’ll come around I am sure.

Someone said it yesterday and I agree the actress playing Ursa does an astounding job of playing terrified!!! She’s so convincing!

Grace is disappointing! She started out to be the voice of reason and so strong and logical, now she’s silly, desperate, petty, pulling 3rd rate tricks, and determined to make a fool of herself trying to steal JuanPa.

I am sad that Grace is truly showing herself to be her parents child. She hasn't done anything unforgiveable. Yet. I fear she will indeed stir up trouble between JuanPa and Gaby, who I agree is becoming a bit stronger, wiser and mature every day. I think she and JP can weather whatever storm comes upon them. I'm also holding onto the hope Grace can be brought into the loving fold of the Santos family.

She’s too blinded by the dream to see the reality of the situation." Lupita has a huge heart indeed. I guess our illusions get shattered quickly enough and sadly, hers will come crashing down once everything about Macario is revealed.

I will add my voice in that Sara Corrales is really killing it in her portrayal of Ursula. She brings passionate to a whole nother level, whether it's recoiling in horror from Cesar or defending her actions, she is always a force to be reckoned with!

At this point neither Ester nor Synthia should take care of that child. Ester saying he was her son was a bit too much.
I'm actually not sure whether she or Julia piss me off more. The whole 'having a child made it worth it' speech made me so angry. What is it with these telenovelas making it seem that as long as a child is a result, means justify the ends. And the whole 'there's nothing to be sorry for'...Really? I felt so weird watching those scenes because I was like 'am I supposed to think it's all OK because oh they had a son? Is it because I don't like kids that I'm so mad at her?'
It's so boring Ana s. goes to such great lengths just to get Angel back. This plot has been done to death. I thought she was all modern and independent. She and Mirna aren't that different after all. But I get the sense this telenovela lets women off the hook somehow.

Lupita's reaction was so odd. Is she really not the same age as Isabela? I mean, she might want to believe people marry for life, but why can't she understand that some things you can't just forgive. I don't recall fairytale princesses having to deal with gamblers and traitors and later marrying them. I guess the authors want to make her more complex but this doesn't work for me.

Macario is being revealed bit by bit but what his family has seen hardly scratches the surface. There is true evil lurking underneath, Macario's intent to sell Ursula's child perhaps being the most egregious. If there is any small blessing in all of this is that when Macario crashes and burns, there is at least some awareness of the person (said loosely) that he really is.

Gracias, Jarifa. Terrific recap of this horrific episode. I didn't know who that guy was who spoke to Mirna. If a celebrity psychic out of the blue gives you advice just as you're about to send money under very strange circumstances, most folks would consider it a wakeup call. But not Mirna.

Poor Julia. I expect she'll get spared from rape, but she has to live the rest of her life with Danny's father being Misael.

I'm so glad that Ana Sofi nixed the fake pregnancy route that I'll put up with her. It is a good idea for Funes to get on social media. And it is true that Funes isn't even the company that Angel wanted. He was working on his own young startup when the show opened. Ana Sofi's a villain, but to me a relief.

Diana, I truly admire how you are able to mesh the events, character's emotions and actions along with the dialogue; it's better than watching the actual episode because you bring in your eloquence, wit and insight. Thank you!

I was really annoyed with Lupita last night. She's definitely no match for the antagonists, but I am used to the antagonists being contrary and evil so I am not too surprised by what they do. Diana, you worded it perfectly, "Lupita, who initially realized that Macario's actions were wicked and deceitful suddenly does a 360 degree turn!" So how many characters have done a 360? I've lost count! Waterlily, "I guess the authors want to make her more complex but this doesn't work for me." Well it sure doesn't work for me either!

Liz, I too was worried about Humberto and expected him to have some type of "episode." Fortunately he did not.

Darcy, the new Gaby is such a welcome improvement! I was really surprised when she told Lupita that her mother deserved a better man--this from daddy's little girl who thought he walked on water!

Sebas is also already a different, more serious and sensible person. He is so right that Lupita's attitude will only keep them apart and ruin what they have.

I thought Ursula might reconsider the trash barrel after red-faced Ghost Cesar showed up. Such bad karma that she's bringing upon herself. Has she not thought that her baby may turn out to be the spitting image of Cesar? And, uh-oh, her mom wound up in a manicomio. She's bad, but I don't see Ursula as an archvillain, yet, so I'd hate that for her.

Sebas might want to reconsider Lupita. She is so rigid and judgmental. It seems Grace picked exactly the right book and the right pages to drive Lupita up a wall.

Grace reminded me of teen girls everywhere when she did the happy dance because JP actually showed up. I too am hoping Grace doesn't go to the real dark side. Interesting that JP took a taxi there. Does he not have a car of his own, or does he worry about parking his car there?

As gentlemanly as Eugenio is, he is in fact making a move on Amparo. Lots of eye gazing, face touching. During their private dinner, he told her he's been dedicated only to his children -- until now, which made Amparo uncomfortable.

I'm trying to remember why Memo does not tell Dani that Fausto and Karen are having an affair.

I shook my head in vigorous agreement with all of your statements but particularly enjoyed Gaby telling "Lupita that her mother deserved a better man--this from daddy's little girl who thought he walked on water!". I agree with you and Darcy in that the new and improved Gaby is seeing things as they truly are, not as one wishes they would be (*cough *Lupita *cough).

"Sebas is also already a different, more serious and sensible person." Yes! He pursued Lupita relentlessly yet he is already feeling he has no choice but to warn Lupita her attitude could cost them their relationship. She has been warned...will she listen??

He desperately wants to kiss her but I will give him credit for not trying. Yet. Technically, he hasn't done anything inappropriate although he has envisioned and wanted to do so.

Diana, Julia doesn't act like she is stupid otherwise, so, after seeing that Misael is now operating on hair trigger, why in the heck would she even get into a car with him let alone allow herself to be driven to the middle of nowhere so they can talk out of the ear shot of Danny. Why not jus step out of the house? Give me a break.

Urban, YES! Ester needs professional help to keep her from obsessing about her grandson as a way to deal with her grief. Poor kid!

waterlily, you were not alone in not liking the "Having a child made it worth it" conversation. Really? It's apples and oranges.

Niece, I hadn't seen Jorge Flores since "La fea más bella" and was so happy to see him again in a novela. Mirna was lucky he didn't give her a statue of St. Jude (saint of impossible causes) like he gave to Leti in "La fea." Maybe he should have. It might have gotten her attention. Oh, well, it looks like it could be an early anvil for Mirna.

Susanlynn, I think that Catalina is one of the very few voices of reason in this one. It does seem that Jero is doing all the work. What does Flavia do? Oh, yeah, the books.. . Uh, how long does that take for a food truck? She should have volunteered to work nights with Jero and sent Teo over to Max and Ester.

Lupita definitely needs to get a grip. Her parents are definitely a great example of future divorce cases. Also, instead of freaking out over the damaged book she should calmly ask "Who was in my room in the last X hours?" Chema will talk.

Here's hoping that someone noticed Grace making eyes at JuanPa.

Sooooo... Ursula's mother ended up in a manicomio after killing her husband. I think Memo needs to find a shrink for Ursula for his own safety.

Amparo needs a restraining order against Macario.

VENCER LA AUSENCIA #62 Part 1

Notes from the couch. . .

THE HIGHLIGHT: Rayo finds her voice with Doris
THE LOWLIGHT: Julia even after almost being raped and physically abused by Misael, still allows him to spend one more night in the house and terrorize her one more time.

THE MAIN EVENT

As he continues to try to force himself on Julia, Misael gets more and more violent with Julia (uh, why doesn't she go for the family jewels??? ) He shoves her into the back seat. She tells him he is humiliating her and forcing her. Suddenly it is as if somebody has turned on a light in Misael's in misguided head. He comes to his senses (sort of) and backs aways from Julia blaming her for provoking him by making him jealous. She knows he isn't like this. (okay. the guy is nuts) Julia gets out of the car and runs not the woods. Misael sees her and starts driving (maybe to catch up with her some where???) Julia is walking out of wherever she is and Misael is following her in his car. He pulls up and tells her to get in and he will take her home. She isn't going anywhere with him. He accuses her of opposing his rights as a husband. They are still married. She informs him that he cannot force any woman to have sex. He cannot rape any woman. She tells him to get out of there. She will be walking back. He says whatever she wants. He takes her phone out of her purse and throw the purse out on the road to her. He finally leaves. She screams out of frustration and anger in her ripped blouse. She starts to walk back.

Misael has Julia's phone and is trying to guess what her password would be. Of course, she used Danny's birthday.

At the same time, at the Funes company, Ana Sofí drones on about social media. She can tell that Angel looks like he is thinking about Julia who has every right to be off having fun with her husband. If he wants to let it all out, she Ana Sofí is there for him. He says he has other things on his mind. Angel texts Julia. He finds it odd that she is not answering him. Ana Sofí comes back wanting to go out to dinner with him. He tells her that he has things to do. She asks if Julia is back from her date. He needs to accept that she is going to go back with Misael. They have a son together. She doesn't want him to be worried, that's all. She recognizes that he is a big boy who can make his own decisions.
 

VENCER PART 2

Misael reads the texts on Julia's phone from Angel. He texts Angel as Julia and tells him that all is well. She is with Misael and they have been honest with each other. She has missed Misael and being with him is the right thing to do. Angel texts Julia telling her that he cannot believe the message she sent him. It cannot be true. He asks to talk to her. Suddenly he gets a message that Julia has blocked him.

Ana Sofí comes back again to show Angel some papers but he ignores her and leaves.

Misael get home first and tells Rodolfo and Chepina the whole story about how he and Julia got into a fight and she got out of the car on the highway. He doesn't know what to do. Danny comes out asking where his mother is. Misael says he doesn't know. She left him alone because she doesn't love him. (Can somebody punch Misael in the mouth already??)Julia isn't there because she wants to ruin his life. Rodolfo tells him to watch what he says in front of the boy. Misael cannot understand why. Julia comes in and Danny wants to know where she was. Misael tells her to go ahead and tell him about the fight that she started. She doesn't want to be together. Misael won't be hiding anything from his son or anyone else. He dares her to tell everyone why she wants a divorce and to destroy their family. She sees her phone and grabs it. He says she left it in the car. She says no way but he cuts her off. He decides to take Danny out to play. Julia tries to stop him but he insists. Rodolfo decides to go with them.

When she is alone with Chepina, Julia tells her that Misael tried to rape her. Julia feels like the whole world is coming down on her. Chepina tells her that Misael was a a beast and that Julia cannot let that happen again. (Yay!! some good advice) Chepina wants to go with her to file a complaint against Misael. Julia knows that is the right thing to do but she is afraid of doing that because of Danny. (Really???) Chepina doesn't want to hear any EXCUSES because Misael needs to be punished for everything he did to her. (Yay!) Nothing will happen to Danny because Rodolfo is there.

Out in the park, Rodolfo makes it clear that he trusts his daughter and not Misael. The being said, he wants Misael to tell him what is going on. Misael asks Rodolfo if he knows that his daughter is sleeping with Angel. Rodolfo asks him to show some respect. Misael tells him that Angel is only using Julia. His ex works the company and is younger and has no children. Of course, he thinks Angel would end up with her.
 

VENCER Part 3

Angel arrives unexpectedly on the scene greeting Don Rodolfo. Angel is surprised to see Misael. He thought he was out with Julia. Misael says he was but this "ghost" spoiled the romance. Angel asks if the romance was something that both of them wanted or only one of them. Misael says both of them and they had a good time. Danny comes running out to see Angel. Danny is happy to see him until Misael threatens to tell Danny who wants to steal his mother away from them. He wants Danny to know once and for all that Angel is the guy who is trying to separate his mother from him. Rodolfo intercedes and tells Misael "Enough!!!" Rodolfo decides it is time for them to leave. Angel tells Danny he is not responsible for his parents breaking up. He doesn't want to see Danny suffer because they are friends. Misael's brainwashing has worked. Danny tells Angel that they are no longer friends. Danny doesn't want to see Angel again. Misael makes sure he knows that Angel wants to break up their family. Angel leaves. Rodolfo asks Misael who is he anyway? A little bit of a man or garbage? He tells him to choose one. Rodolfo says he knows he is very old but he is is not drunk. He punches Misael in the face. (YAY! Rodolfo must have heard me earlier!!!) The men stare at each other.

At the same time, Chepina and Julia are at the ministerio público waiting to file charges. When they ask how long they will have to wait and the officer finds out it is about an attempted rape, he unfortunately says "oh, another one of those." Chepina won't take his lack of respect and offers to place a complaint against him. He says he didn't say anything. When they finally get to talk to an officer and he finds out that her husband tried to rape her, his response starts out with "BUT he is your husband. . . " Maybe she misunderstood. He chalks it up to her husband being eager. (There is a law against marital rape in Mexico) Julia says NO. He tried to rape her. The officer tells them that It would be better if they left him to fight real crimes. Julia is rightfully indignant and decides to leave.

At home, Misael is writing a letter to the family telling them that Julia is cheating on him with junior (Angel) They have made his son suffer but he hasn't. Misael is the victim here. He only wants to maintain his life as as family. Julia arrives and tells him if he has any decency left he will get out. He says he is leaving. Danny runs to him begging him not to go. He hugs Danny. Julia gives in (AGAIN??? ) and tells him to stay the night but not one more. Later in the kitchen, Julia is looking at her phone. Misael comes in asking if she was out looking for her novio all afternoon. (WHY is she even talking to him???) She says she went to file charges against him but down at the ministerio públic they are all machos as bad as he is. He tells her a wife cannot be raped. A husband is only exercising his marital rights. PERIOD. She doesn't know how it took her so long to find out what a miserable guy he really is who thinks that he can do what he wants just because he is a man and deserves everything. He warns her to take it down a notch or he will get her where it will hurt her the most. She knows he is not capable of doing anything to Danny but what about Angel . . . ??? Misael says he will see Angel humiliated on his knees begging him to stop.
 

VENCER Part 3

EVERYTHING ELSE

Gina has decided to chat with Mati and Leonel. Suddenly, she is going to put up a series about "friendship" on her social media and they are going to be the first ones whose story she is going to tell! Gina suggests that they tell her about Mati. Leonel doesn't think that is a very good idea. Gina says Mati is going to appear in the video. Rayo says Gina is one of the good peeps. Leonel agree to go ahead because of Rayo's opinion of Gina. Rayo says that Mati was her best friend until she got her involved in some serious stuff that ended up with her being arrested and detained. Leonel tells Gina it was Mati's idea to deface Flavia's truck. Rayo says then Mati showed her how she could live at the Funes' house and how to steal things from them.

Gina is still jealous of Ana Sofí and so she tells her followers that she is going to trend towards much more serious topics. The topic for today is toxic friendships. She uses Mati as the example of one of those toxic friends. .

Ester has her little crazy world taken where Jero and Cinthia appear on her doorstep. Ester makes it clear that they are not welcome. Jero says she cannot deny Cinthia the right to see her child. All he wants is for her to do things the right way so she doesn't end up with a problem. Ester tells Jero to take the addict and get out once and for all. Ester pulls Denis away from his mother. According to Ester, Cinthia doesn't deserve to be with her son because she abandoned him. She chose drugs over him. That she will never be able to forgive her. She accuses Cinthia of having planned to use Dennis to get money from Iván so she could feed her habit. She closes the door. Cinthia goes running off and Jero catches up to her. Cinthia knows she did a bad thing in leaving her son all because of an addiction. Jero tells he she can make up for what she did. She cannot stop fighting for her son. She doesn't think she will ever see him again. Jero tells her that she needs to fight for her son and show everyone she is ready to take on that responsibility. Max sees them and asks what is going on.

Braulio confirms to Celeste that he is planning on buying them another house. She agrees that she wants their child to grow up in a better place than this. She inconveniently reminds him that he never told her about the other business where he got the money for the house. Braulio suddenly has a "pain" and prefers to talk about that topic another time.

Homero notices that Rayo isn't too happy in spite of all the new clothes. She says any time she goes back to the apartment complex she remembers her mother and she also ran into an ex friend that didn't treat her very well. Rayo has decided she will keep smiling. Homero likes her attitude. She shows Homero everything the friends got her. He is going to tell Angel to get her whatever she wants. She deserves it all for just being his daughter. Mirna (the b*tch) doesn't miss a chance to call Rayo an opportunist and a flea ridden brat besides being a thief and a bastard who should be paying them back from all she stole. Homero tries to explain that Mirna has always been difficult. (really? That gives her the right to brow beat and insult whomever she wants whenever she wants???) She was a shy girl who grew up in Angel's shadow which led to many insecurities. Homero comforts Rayo.

Mati and Chilo are having tacos in the park. Chilo says she is good for his business. Teo comes by. He invites himself to join them. Mati is not pleased. Chilo says no problem. They can use him to get into his house. He hears that his mother keeps money there. Mati likes that idea. Mati tries to convince Teo to take her back to his house so they can be intimate. She thinks that his room would be the ideal place. Teo says he will let her know when his mom isn't at home. He wants to have his first time with her!!!


 

VENCER Part 4

Flavia shows up at Catalina's place. Gina answers the door. She wants to talk to Erik and Ariel RIGHT NOW! Gina says the are not in. Flavia says to pass on her message, then. This is a decent apartment complex not a motel where undesirables stay. The guys seemed so decent. They must have been affected by the loose women. She tells Catalina that she looks familiar. Flavia will be back!!!
After she is gone, Gina laughs saying that she sort of recognized Catalina. Catalina is ready to self identify as a trans-woman. She tells Gina about all of the problems that entails: taboos, prejudices, hatred. Yes, trans people are in all aspects of life but it is a hard road because the trans community is the most attacked and suffer the most hate crimes. They are attacked just for existing. Gina gets it but sooner or later everyone in the complex is going to find out. Gina knows she will be brave and defend herself. Catalina says she will be doing that for herself because she deserves to live feely.

Max talks with Ester starting off by telling her that Denis is not Iván. She is taking away Cinthia's rights as a mother. Ester won't
listen to anything. She is only protecting Iván. Max asks if she can hear herself. The boy is not Iván. She goes on about how Cinthia is surely going to have a relapse and then what will happen to the child? She is there to protect him because she loves him with all of her heart. Max explains that no matter how Cinthia is or what she has done, right now she ahs full custody of her child. She has every right to see him and spend time with him (Uh, and take him away!!) That can only be changed in court. Her abandonment of her son would be a point against her as well as a relapse with her addiction. He shows her a case that is similar where a child's grandparents got custody of him. Ester sees that it can be done.

Rayo tries to make peace with Mirna but it is fruitless. Doris seems to have enjoyed hearing Mirna insulting Rayo again because she tells Rayo she is just a freeloader in the house. Rayo tells Doris to watch herself because it would be really easy for her father or her brother to find out what she said to her (YAY! Rayo)

Jero tells Cinthia that she is going to be doing a little of everything in the food truck but mainly prep work. She is happy to lend a hand wherever. She thanks him. He is only asking for hard work and a commitment. She thinks he is a lifesaver during this rough part of life she is going through. Flavia comes raving into the food truck complaining about Erik, Ariel and Gina. She asks who this unknown woman is? Jero explains it is Cinthia the mother of Ester's grandson. Later, he tells Flavia Cinthia's story. Jero says it isn't Ester's fault. Cinthia's bad decisions have led things where they are now. Flavia says Jero has her full support and she will not oppose his hiring Cinthia however Cinthia is his responsibility.

Flavia stop by to see Celeste but ends up talking to Braulio who tells her they had a little scare but now everything fine. Flavia thinks he is such a great husband. Braulio says it is because he loves his wife. It turns out that Braulio suffers from sciatica and is having some pain. Celeste comes out to see her friend. Suddenly, Celeste remembers that the last time Braulio had his sciatica act up was when the accident happened. Braulio would refer not to think about that. Flavia says sciatica is a pain you cannot ignore. Her mother suffered from it.

Flavia says she will go with Jero tomorrow to pick up their night permit. He warns her it could take most of the the morning. She is up for it. Teo hears and texts Mati that the coast is clear for tomorrow morning.

Mati tells Chilo that ass Teo just texted her that his mother will be gone tomorrow morning. She and Chilo are all excited. She texts Teo that she will be there.


 

VENCER Part 5

Flavia decides go see Erick and Ariel about their apartment being used as a hotel. She runs into a neighbor who tells her it isn't just women but she saw someone who looked like a man who was dressed like a woman. Flavia cannot believe it. The neighbor points out Catalina returning home and calls her a degenerate. Flavia and the neighbor confronts Catalina demanding to know if she is a man or a woman. Catalina says she doesn't have to answer. A jeering crowd appears out of nowhere. (WEIRD) Flavia wants the truth because they do not accept degenerates in this complex. Catalina says she was born in the body of a man but she is a woman. She hurts nobody. She deserves respect and won't take Flavia calling her a degenerate. Flavia doesn't quite see it that way and rips her wig off as the crowd cheers her on.

Camino #50 Part 1

Lupita and Gaby smile as they watch the video of Leo singing his sweet song; Gaby is happy that Leo asked Chuchita to send it to them. Gaby suggests Lupita send it to Sebastian who is dispirited because of how she is treating him. Lupita plays her repetitive song that she doesn’t like her mother going out with Sebastian’s father. Gaby tells Lupita about the lowlight of the book reveal that she missed; Macario accosted Eugenio. Lupita is upset but Gaby tells her sister not to be sad. Lupita finally seems to have had an epiphany that her father will not change. They upload Leo’s video and it goes viral.

Grace is sitting on the couch talking with JuanPa as she puts her arm and hand on him. She tells him she is wearing the neck brace at the local doctor’s suggestion. She is happy he came to see her and tells him how lucky Gaby is to have someone like him. JP smiles but assures her that he is the fortunate one; Gaby is the best thing that ever happened to him. As he affirms that he loves Gaby very much, Grace struggles to keep her smile intact. He calls a cab and Grace is surprised that he isn’t taking the car. He explains the car is Sebastian’s, not his. As they stand up she takes a few awkward steps forward, leaning over to kiss him but (thankfully) misses. After, Grace vows that Juan Pablo will be hers!

We see Memo is still sprawled on the “guest couch”. Ursula comes in and puts her arm on him cooing that she doesn’t like they are at odds. She asks what she can do to earn his forgiveness.

Dani and Isa are laughing, having fun with her teddy bears. Isa tells Dani her teddy snores like her father. As Dani gives her hair a few last-minute brushes (not needed, Isa looks like she just stepped out of a Breck commercial), Isa asks why Memo hasn’t come to see her. Dani explains that Memo just got married and is taking some time to be with his wife. As Dani tells Isa she loves her, a look of unbearable sadness clouds her countenance.

Dani knocks on Fausto’s door telling him Isabela is ready for school. When she reminds him they have an appointment with the psychologist, he blows her off saying he has another meeting and can’t attend. He tells her to reschedule.

Gaby talks with Macario, unsure as to how she will face Eugenio after he lent them money to get out of the bind Macario got them into. Macario grimly pulls out a wad of bills and Gaby’s eyes widen like saucers. Macario will not be beholden to Eugenio for anything so gives her the money to pay him back. Gaby wonders where the money came from and is afraid he is gambling again.

Karen tells Dani that Fausto lied; there is no meeting. She reminds Dani of Fausto’s demand to hold off on the divorce if Isabela is to be told the truth. Dani is so frustrated; she hates Fausto being there! Karen replies she feels that way because she is madly in love with Memo. Daniela agrees but unfortunately, Chuchita is within earshot and hears the admission, dropping some plates.

Camino #50 Part 2

Chuchita is shocked and Dani follows her as Karen leaves. Chuchita is putting pastries on a plate, clearly unnerved. Dani tells her she can’t keep all these secrets anymore. Dani starts to explain but Chuchita says she doesn’t need to. Dani gently admits to being in love with Memo. She never planned to but it just happened. They are both married but what she feels is very strong. With tears in her eyes, Dani asks that Chuchita not tell anyone.

Gaby tells her father that she hopes her mother forgives him someday but he should not be selfish and give Amparo the time she asked for. Macario tries to enlist Gaby’s support to help him get her back. Gaby says he needs to win her trust. She admonishes him that Lupita is considering breaking up with Sebastian because of his problem with Eugenio. She assures Macario Lupita and Sebastian are in love. She asks him to talk to Lupita…and by doing so, he will give her one reason to trust him. She kisses him on the cheek and leaves.

Aaron tells Fausto their plan for Macario is working out well. Fausto calls Gabriela who doesn’t answer. We see his anger building.

Daniela and Isabela are surprised by the unannounced appearance of Memo and Ursula. Memo apologizes for showing up but explains that Ursula has something to say. Ursula bites the proverbial bullet and apologizes (in a rather abbreviated manner) for the awful things she said to Dani, asking if she forgives her. Dani, however, does not look very forgiving.

Gaby is almost at her desk, dawdling a bit as she dances to and listens to her music. Furious Fausto comes out of his office, walks up to her and takes her earbuds out. Fausto berates her for being late and although Gaby tries to explain that she has a good reason, Fausto isn’t having it and fires her! In the background, we see Aaron, sort of smirking. A**.

As Daniela stands with her arms crossed in a defensive stance, Ursula threads her arm through Memo’s. Dani faces Ursula telling her she never intended to make problems for her and Memo. Ursula hopes Dani doesn’t change her mind about telling Isa that Memo is her father because of her. Dani tells her that no she doesn’t mix issues and she has every intention of telling Isa when the time comes. Ahhh, Isabela comes flying down the stairs and screams her delight. Memo joyously hugs her and asks how she is. Isa minds her manners and has a nice smile for Ursula. She asks Memo to help her find her father as Ursula whispers to Memo that this might be the right moment. Dani, Isa and Memo all end up kneeling on the floor and having a group hug as Ursula stares..

Camino #50 Part 3

Gaby goes into Fausto’s office and in the surliest manner possible asks what she is doing here. (What follows is Rgv Chick’s amazing rendition): Gaby retorts that I just want to thank you because I wouldn’t be able to stand working for you for one more minute. I’m going to clean out my desk but don’t think I will leave without telling you some truth to your face! You are a tyrant! An ogre! Being your secretary is worse than a Chinese torture! I don’t know how Daniela stands you! She deserves an altar for putting up with such an intolerable husband like you! It so good that Memo discovered that Chavelita is his daughter because that precious little girl doesn’t deserve a despicable man like you! And just as JuanPa left your home, I will leave this company. The day will come when no one will tolerate you and you will be left all alone! Fausto yells, “get out!” Gaby retorts, “With great pleasure!” (What follows is my two cents): In a fury matching her fiery speech, Gabriela rips off her badge, throws it on Fausto’s desk, and imperiously storms out, head held high.

Memo assures Isa he will help her but needs her to be patient. She must store up a lot of love for the day she can hug the man she wants to meet because he is sure that man also wants to be close to her. Dani promises to find a way to get her to be with her father. Memo strokes Isa’s hair her hair as Isa thanks Memo for helping her. When they find him she hopes they can all take a ride in Memo’s trailer. Memo kisses Isa and they exchange their special winks. Memo apologizes but Dani tells him there is no need to apologize he is her father and they want what is best for Isa. Ursula then quickly maneuvers Memo away.

Gaby is throwing her things in her backpack when Sebastian comes up. She tells him Fausto fired her but she can’t stand him so he actually did her a favor.

Chuchita has been worried about Dani and now she understands…Dani’s heart is hurting. She holds out her hands and Dani envelops her in a hug. Dani tells her that it will pass.

Sebastian wants to tell his father but Gaby says no. She plans on talking with Eugenio and to thank him for everything. She knows Fausto hates her because she is Memo’s niece. Sebastian makes a face, clearly upset.

Dani explains how she fell in love with Memo. Things with Fausto were deteriorating when Memo arrived. She was fragile and Memo paid attention to her and her problems. Everything changed. He listened to her and valued what she had to say. He made her laugh! But most of all, she loved how he interacted with Isa and the gleam in his eyes when he looked at her. She even thought “what a great father this man could make!” And he will be when Isa finds out the truth. Chuchita asks why she is still down. Dani replies because it breaks her heart that her feelings for Memo are impossible and a fantasy. Despite her efforts to forget, her feelings just grow and grow…

Camino #50 Part 4

Memo has fun with adorable Chema. Memo picks him up and “flies” him in the air. Ursula isn’t feeling the fun and asks him for the car key. Memo tells Manoman that Crazy Mandrill is going to grab him and put him in a cage.

Dani asks Chuchita about Leo. Chuchita admits that Leo won her over with his songs.

Macario and Lupita talk; he urges she not confuse the issues. He doesn’t want her to have problems with Sebastian because of her mother. When Lupita asks if they should just allow her mother to go out with Eugenio, Macario tells her that they can’t stop her, she needs to figure it out herself and when she stumbles he will be there. Lupita thinks Macario must love her mother very much (as bile rises in Viewerville’s collective throats). Max tells her not to be at odds with her mother and not to fight with her boyfriend. Esta bien she says and he hugs her.

Gaby thanks Eugenio for everything and returns the money he lent her; her father sent it. He urges her to stay but Gaby wants to leave because the job really isn’t something she wants to do. She wants to find something she likes and is more passionate about; perhaps public relations. As he smiles in support, Eugenio tells her he will work on getting her severance pay.

Just as Karen tells Dani that Fausto fired Gaby because she is Memo’s niece. Fausto arrives and overhearing this is angry and asks what she is saying and says that just isn’t true.

Grace shows up at JP’s practice, clapping and cheering. She distracts him and his dive suffers, his coach scolding him. She apologizes and he asks if something is wrong. She tells him her neck isn’t hurting any longer but her back is. Since he is in sports she was hoping he could recommend someone who could give her a massage. Kindhearted (but naive) JP says he can do it himself.

Fausto again reiterates Memo has nothing to with this; he spews he fired Gaby because she is irresponsible…. she gets offended for any little thing. When Dani suggests that he will create a climate of terror at work just like he is doing at home, Fausto tells her he didn’t ask for her opinion! When he tells Karen not to put ideas into his wife’s head, Karen tells him he should have asked her before firing Gaby since he is the shareholder with the least shares. He suggests she talk to Aaron since she is not well informed. (Uh oh…)

Camino #50 Part 5

As JuanPa starts on Grace’s “therapy”, who shows up but Gaby! As Gaby stands there shooting daggers, JP tells her about the “accident”. Grace explains why she went there and adds that JP has been so attentive because of the accident. Gaby then apologizes as Grace says how wonderful he is. Grace glares as she leaves. JP says he is happy to see her but asks why she is there. She tells him that troll Fausto fired her.

Memo is still playing with Chema when Amparo comes out and says Isa is asking for him.

Amparo goes into the restaurant and Lupita apologizes to Amparo for being so selfish; she doesn’t want to be at odds with her.

Isa is telling Chema (via a video call) that Memo is going to help her find her bio father. The three indulge in rousing cheers. Memo confirms and tells Monoman and Star Girl that this is a secret mission and they can’t tell anyone. Promises are made.

Lupita tells Amparo that her father advised her not to be fighting with her…and that she shouldn’t be angry if she goes out with Eugenio. Amparo wonders what fly bit Macario 😊

JuanPa is angry at Fausto and wants to talk to him. Gaby asks him not to. She has decided she wants to do something different, to study Public Relations. And now, she can come and watch him train every day.

Amparo thanks Macario for talking to Lupita. She never expected that from him. Macario swears he would never pit her children against her.

Camino #50 Part 6 (Last)

Karen follows Fausto out. She accuses him of being jealous of Memo because he is in love with Dani. Fausto assures her that his marriage is only business and Dani has never interested him as a woman (ouch). He sticks the knife in a bit more, telling Karen that it is she who can’t stand that he will never leave Dani for her (the truth, for once). Karen tells him that unlike him Dani could leave him for someone else, and not just any man, but for the trucker. Fausto tells her to shut up. Karen continues that he has everything to lose because Memo is Isa’s father… he should bury his jealousy. Fausto grabs Karen’s arm as he hisses asking if Daniela and Memo are amantes..

Amparo wants to explain about Eugenio but Max tells her there is no need, he trusts her.

Fausto tells Karen that he knows Dania and Memo kissed. Karen guesses that Ursula told him. She mocks him for taking care of his marriage to get his inheritance and taunts him that his wife will leave him for a poor devil like Memo. Fausto spews that will never happen! She tells him that Dani can’t stand him and it’s not because of Memo or whatever he thinks is going on between them! Dani simply stopped loving him! And she can tolerate breathing the same air as he. When Karen adds that Dani can’t wait to be divorced from him, Fausto charges that he will never give her the divorce. Karen reminds him that things have changed and Dani can divorce him without his agreement. Fausto tells her it will never happen because at this point, he is better off being a widower rather than a divorced man. Karen ends with, “Did I hear right? Are you saying that you would be capable of killing Daniela?”

Despite the rapid fire dialogue tonight, our incredible Rgv Chick managed to capture every word, every syllable to perfection. I am in awe of her talent and wisdom. I'm so very grateful for everything she provided and again above all for her generous time and selflessness.

Fausto has now talked the talk. Is it just that? I see not a whit of courage, only a bright yellow streak of cowardice. Can't wait to see what happens!

Julia and Chepina need to file a second complaint against that cop. Marital rape is a crime in Mexico, punishable by up to 20 years in prison. My dinero says it must be very underreported.

Doris has to be up to something and who else is betting that Rayo will be the one to find this out?

Angel needs to beat the crap out of Misael, but not until he gets other evidence against him. Glad that Rudolfo has come to his senses.

Flavia may be getting her Karmageddon early. I can't wait.

Thanks so much, Jarifa. There is so much conversation in this and sometimes I’m really clueless. I had no idea what Doris and Rayo had said, or Mirna to Rayo. Doris better learn her place! You don’t bite the hand that feeds you, or their loved one! Although I wonder if Doris will stay once Mirna realizes what Sergio did! I can’t wait for Mirna to have to tell Angel her money is gone and she owes AnaSofia money.

The attempted rape was horrible. But worse was the garbage Misael was feeding Danny. I don’t know how a young boy like Danny can realize his dad is a liar. He needs to see him in action. I don’t think AnaSofia will be to pleased with Misael when she learns that instead of trying to win Julia back he decided to rape her. I think that will put Angel more deeply in with Julia. Hurting Angel will not please AnaSofia either! She may soon regret hiring him!

Gina should not have had Rayo and Chilo talk about Mati. That will only hurt them.

Ester needs help. It sometimes seems she really believes Dennis is her son. Max didn’t help by telling her about another couple who got custody of their grandchild.

Braulio and Misael are brutal criminals, but what is Flavia’s reason for being the way she is. And why does Celeste still consider her a friend. Apparently she is the only one Braulio approves of. The way she talked to Catalina was horrible. And then pulling the wig off. I don’t know what the writers are going to do with her in the end. But it looks like her house will get robbed. I hope Mati and friend get caught. And Teo may end up arrested with them!

Tonight should be another fast paced episode!

Jarifa, last night’s episode was grim and laid heavily on the heart. But you recorded every single sordid detail with tenacity and truth. You illuminated every miscarriage of justice, illusion and lie. You have always been a brilliant writer and one need look no further than here for proof positive.

I also wondered why Julia “uh, why doesn't she go for the family jewels???)”. I’m sure even one kick would have found its mark, no matter the small target. I was shocked Misael stopped his assault at the last minute. Surely it must have been the fear of retribution; of punishment, of jail. Julia’s journey last night should have made her more resolute to rid herself of him once and for all. Yet, she bends and even allows him back in the house. “Chepina tells her that Misael was a beast and that Julia cannot let that happen again. (Yay!! some good advice) “. At least someone had their wits about them. The treatment Julia received from the police was also sickening. Misael using Dany against Julia shows what a cruel abuser he is.

Angel followed his good instincts, suspicious (at the least) about Julia’s “texts”.

“Homero tries to explain that Mirna has always been difficult. (really? That gives her the right to brow beat and insult whomever she wants whenever she wants???)”. Well, Mirna’s just desserts are coming shortly. And good for Rayo telling Doris off!

Ester has totally retreated into her world of denial. Jero has told her Denis is not her son how many times? Last night “Max talks with Ester starting off by telling her that Denis is not Iván” and then later “Max asks if she can hear herself. The boy is not Iván.” Her anger and cold indifference to Cinthia, crying with grief was hard to watch. I have no idea how she will come to her senses.

Liz, I completely agree that Gina should never have recorded Rayo and Erik. She is immersing herself in something she doesn’t understand just to boost her influencer status.

Chilo, Mati, Teo and an empty house. What could possibly go wrong?

Urban, I agrree that Flavia the self-imposed morality police needs to be knocked down and revealed to be the jealous, scheming, grasping, cold person she truly is.

Thanks, Diana, I feel like I could skip the show and just read about it and not miss anything. And thanks for including Rgv Chick’s direct quote from Gaby. What a great put down! Out of the mouthed of babes!

Ursula was not too bubbly with the kids last night. She usually seems to enjoy them. I wonder if that was an act to convince Memo she’d be a great mother to Isa. I’m glad Dani barely accepted her sort of apology.

Macario always seems to say the right thing to his kids. I know he’s using them to some degree but I think he really does love them. He’s so different with Grace. I wonder if we’ll ever find out why.

I have a feeling Grace is going to mess up Gabby and JuanPa’s relationship. Or his chance to be in the competition. She goes from one pain to another. He’s not going to catch on but I think Gaby will.

So now we add Dani to the list of lives in danger. Although if a man can kill his parents then why not his wife. I’m ready for the good guys to start winning! Although if there’s 92 episodes we are not much over half way! We have a long wait to see things resolved!

Diana, once again you have spun gold out straw! How you do this week after week is mindboggling; your ability to use such extraordinary descriptions of the events and character's actions and feelings never ceases to amaze. Thank you!

The dialogue was more than extensive, but I could not resist sharing Gaby's rant word-for-word. She rocked! and I was so proud of her! Oh and I love her nickname for Fausto! She now calls him NeFausto (which should really be "nefasto", the Spanish word for nefarious). Gotta love it!!

"Ursula bites the proverbial bullet and apologizes (in a rather abbreviated manner)" Memo should have turned to her and asked, "You call that an apology?" She didn't even look sincere!! It must run in the family because even though Mac managed to sound a bit more convincing, we knew that he was lying! So your side: "Lupita thinks Macario must love her mother very much (as bile rises in Viewerville’s collective throats)" was quite appropriate. Lupita is SO gullible!

It does not surprise me a bit that NeFausto would resort to killing Dani. And oh my, Karen will have a fit when she finds out that Aaron turned over most of his shares to NeFausto! Tonight will be another night of yelling, steaming ears and dagger throwing looks! Can't wait!

Liz, I am hoping for Mati and Chilo to get caught. At least Leonel doesn’t look like he will be along for the ride being so soon released from jail. In a way, I hope Teo bets caught, too. It might be the only way to cool his jets with respect to Mati so to speak.

Diana, thanks for your complimentary comments! This was another one where it was easier to translate many passages than to try to rewrite them. As you can tell, I have lost most respect for Julia. Does she not realize the damage she is doing to Danny by continually modeling for him what an unhealthy female-male relationship looks like every time she rolls over and lets Misael have his way? Does she want to raise a mini-Misael?

It was rather bizarre how there, suddenly out of nowhere, was a jeering crowd as Flavia tried to humiliate Cataline. Only the pitch forks , pikes and torches were missing.

Busy day today. I hope to be back later.

I think you nailed Ursu's true motivation in initially showing interest in Chema and Isa with "I wonder if that was an act to convince Memo she’d be a great mother to Isa". Bingo.

"Although if a man can kill his parents then why not his wife". Frightening but you captured it perfectly. Fausto has no heart and perhaps worse, no soul.

There is a lot of time left so I'm sure we are in for more lies and deception. Hoping for a bit more levity in the future though!

Diana, another masterpiece recap for you my friend! As always and as others have said above your compassion and kindness just bleeds into your writer and brings life to the characters.

Gaby oh Gaby! Again, I admire her strength and I cheered on her telling Falso the truth in no uncertain terms, but you don't taunt Satan!!! It's dangerous. The problem though is these people have no idea how dangerous Falso is and they make the mistake of believing he's just a jerk. He's much worse than that, ya'll.

I think Aaron was smirking because he knew he would tell Karen and that would create issues with Falso and Dani. Maybe he was happy to have an opportunity to poke back at the bear after Falso humiliated him over the shares.

I think Karen knows Falso as well as anyone and so she's probably on to something with the accusation that he's jealous. He may deny it, and of course I don't think Satan is capable of truly loving anyone, but maybe somewhere under all the bluster and bravado Falso liked having his devoted Dani and is jealous...

Isa looked as pretty as a picture and exactly like the sweet happy little girl who stole our hearts in the beginning last night. It was nice to see her get a break from the crying and saddness.

Lupita IS guillible. There is nothing wrong in being a true romantic but it is best to keep both feet firmly planted on terra firma if your head is in the clouds where illusions and disappointments abound.

I'm rubbing my hands with glee to see how Karen reacts when she finds out Aaron sold her out! Has "NeFasto" really gained the upper hand? I'm dying to see what Karen does now. :)

I think Gaby is better off far away. With Karen soon to learn of Aaron's deception, work may soon become a battleground, and even more toxic (hard to imagine but...)

Your analytical skills are superb. I enjoyed reading your thoughtful theory on Aaron who remains an enigma to me. And I agree that Fausto is incapable of love and that in the shallow depths of his soul, perhaps he is jealous regarding Dani. Likely only as he sees her as a possession and means to an end.

I think Julia fears retribution. She should take Danny to a hotel and stay there until Misael is out of the house. Not a perfect solution but probably the only one possible right now.

As for Ana Sofi she is too entitled -- and not smart enough -- to think that Misael would never dare to attack her(self). She would probably also think that other women of lesser status are deserving of such treatment.

Misael is also teaching his own misogyny to Danny. Not good.

Flavia deserves all the humiliation she has tried to mete out to others.

Not sure if I have any more sympathy for Ursula knowing that her mother went mad. We may or may not get the details of that situation. It would be good to know them, though. She should be less hostile to Daniela but it's not very likely that will happen.

Yolanda and Grace are another pair of jealous/envious bitches who will probably continue their evil until it gets on our nerves. However I think it's possible that JuanPa deliberately mentioned Gaby when talking to Grace as a subtle hint to back off on the flirting.

I hope Eugenio finds out more about Fausto's humiliating termination of Gaby. What happens if he terminates Fausto's employment?

Fausto's threat about killing Daniela is probably shocking to Karen. If Fausto killed Daniela he would have no qualms about killing her. However she does not know that he has killed before by proxy or that she is now boinking his hitman. The writers really got this going!

It would be gratifying if someone reported Fausto to Eugenio but it surely won't be smirking Aaron; I'm not sure who else overheard the conversation. Eugenio is pretty shrewd though and likely realizes Fausto wanted her out and that the firing wasn't justified. I hope Fausto gets reamed out and put in his place.

Urban, I wasn't sure if Karen knew Fausto had his parents killed? "If Fausto killed Daniela he would have no qualms about killing her". Karen was clearly shocked and I would have loved to know exactly what flashed in her mind after hearing Fausto's declaration. I hope they take the scene further tonight so we can observe and hopefully learn more.

I'm glad, at the least, that Julia told Chepina what happened. I hope there's a PSA about getting support from an anti-rape organization.

Doris is a fool for talking cheeky to Rayo. Maybe Doris is not only Sergio's accomplice (though I can't see where he needs her for this scam) but his real girlfriend.

Falso’s parents were killed in the same accident that killed Karen’s mom and it’s likely Falso’s intent was that an accident would kill everyone including Eugenio since it was a helicopter crash. Karen is pretty rotten but she seems to genuinely love her dad and presumably loved her mom. It’s probably a safe bet that she doesn’t know she is now sleeping with the man who killed her.

Super job, Diana. Every character's traits shine (or blister) through your storytelling. Rgv Chick, Gaby telling off Falso was my favorite scene. Thanks for that dialogue.

Karen caused the miscarriage of Dani's three pregnancies, and Falso caused the death of his parents and Eugenio's wife. They don't know the other's crimes, but they are sure a match in hell. I can't tell whether the possibility of Falso killing Dani was a turn-off or a turn-on for Karen.
