Thanks Adriana! For Tuesday & Weds recaps, I so appreciate you stepping in for me so I can take a much needed break and I love as always seeing things through your perspective. You could teach a master's class on how effortlessly interweave your own commentary to plot retelling!!

As much as she would hate it (hopefully only at first) and as much as I disagree with the idea that she deserves it; I agree that being sent away to boarding school might be the best thing that could ever happen to her! I'm confused though, because when she was arrested they said she was 18, mommy can't 'send' her anywhere if she's an adult, can she? The writers are very inconsistent with Emma's character one minute she's treated like she's 15 and the next she's an adult. Is she 18 and an high school? So she's going to be sent away for like 4 mins until she graduates? That should show her.

Augi bringing Lupe a candle light dinner was wildly inappropriate!!! And Concha, who usually chases off married men with a broom or whatever else she has handy, is all for it?? Even with novelaland rules in tack and beanies in place, these characters are super inconsistent and all over the place with their behavior - and Carloca is supposed to be the only crazy one. Then again, maybe they are all crazy and in the asylum together and 'Corazon Guerrero' is just a fever dream one or them is having???

I am glad Mari is going out of town for a few days. Maybe she can stir up some drama at the finca or find some evidence of past crimes of Augi's to add some intrigue to the plotline, it's getting a little static.

Late commenting, but just a couple of notes:
"Tu abuela!" IS equivalent to "Yo' Momma!" (Literal translation is "your grandma!") Lol
"Abusados" is more loosely translated. Used in the context that Valero did, it means "Be careful" or "watch out" or "be on alert" or "watch your back" -
"Ponte abusado" is "(you) be careful"
"Hay que ponernos abusados" is "we must be careful"
"Abusados con Augusto" is "watch out for Augusto" - in other words, don't trust him.

Guerrero. Conchita raised Augie and loves him like a son. I'm glad that Mari will be spending her time away studying for university exams.

Thanks, Adriana, Darcy, & patio for all the information. I really appreciate all feedback on our little show.

I was able to watch, but not take many notes, and it’s almost on!!!

The only other thing I caught was our favorite Sam still rebuffing Selena and making a point to Damián that he’s just not that into her.

I hope the show shifts gears towards more fun and consistency.

Here’s hoping!!!

Corazon Guerrero capitulo 39 part 1 of 2

Augusto arrives home to find out that Domenica has been taken to jail. Damian is still with her when he and Victoriana get to the police station. He manages to see his daughter, who is very scared and promises to get her out of there ASAP. He also gives instruction to Fede to find Nasty Iker.
The next day Domi is back home. Ema receives her with open arms, but her mom is disgusted by the smell and bad habits she must have picked up after her 2 and a half minutes of jail time.

While Jesus can't stop thinking about her in the city, Mari is in the country side, thinking about her fist love, Lazarus. She goes by his childhood home, which is now in ruin and runs into ELISA! They start talking about the sad story of the family that used to live here. Mari says that the dad was Don Augusto's capataz, but when he died his 3 small kids were taken away to the city, never to be heard of again. Elisa doesn't reveal who she is (where would be the fun in that), just pretends to be interested in the story from an artisitic perspective.

Adrian is conflicted by his love for Emma, the daughter of the man who ruined his mom. What to do, what to do? Jesus thinks he should take some time to distance himself from all the drama, focus on his studies for now. This is rich coming from the guy who left his hospital bed and almost broke into Mari's home.

Emma agrees to dance with Adrian's group. But this is as good as it gets for her, because later he asks her for a break. Emma doesn't take the news well, since she needs his help now. But Adrian thinks she should start by helping herslef by quiting drinking and whatnot. He needs to focus on his own family. Emma is upset he believes she's still drinking...

Elisa has a very interesting conversation on the phone with a guy called Santiago. We find out that she has been searching for her kids for a while, she even found some Sanchez brothers in another town but the DNA test provedd they were not her blood. She knows that her boys are close to Augusto, all she has to do is keep following him. Santiago suggests she take a break, he thinks that being around the ranch could be dangerous, someone might recognize her. Elisa doesn't care, she feels she is close to finding her sons.

Corazon Guerrero Capitulo 39 Part 2 of 2

While Augusto is still searching for him, we see Iker about to leave the country. He's at the airport, when he's spotted by the cops. Later in the episode he's with a guy, asking for false documents.

Lupe is sad that her daughter is not with her. Conchita tries to cheer her up, her daughter is preparing for an important exam, she needed this time alone.
And Mari is indeed studying a lot, but she also manages to avoid a tragedy, by convincing some people who were planning to burn down the ranch to use their heads and go after Augusto through the justice system. As it turns out, they are upset because Augusto's actions caused them to lose all their crops and now they want to burn it all down. Mari says they have no proof and even if they did, they'd have to take it to the cops. She offers to help by writing a complaint and thinks Heriberto might be able to help them, too.

Victoriana plans to use the truth about Mari's paternity when it suits her better. For now she will not say a word, but when the time is right her plan is to use this information to blackmail Augie and get her inheritance back.

Damian asks Domenica out, but she's on house arrest.
The search for Iker intensifies, with Damian going as far as asking people on the street. Sam does the same, on his horse, and I think this is supposed to be touching, but I just find it ridiculous.

Conchita asks Heriberto what are his intentions with her daughter. He says he wants to marry her. Maybe Conchita should be more worried about the very married man creating romantic dinners for Lupe and not about the decent, always there Bertie, am I right?

Carlota hasn't left Jesus' side for a second. He asks her to go home, have some rest, but she has a better ideea: she plans to take Jesus to the ranch in order to recuperate! Jesus flashes back to his younger self surrounded by his father and siblings and accepts Carlota's invitation.
That ranch is about to get a lot more crowded.

Guerrero
I burst out laughing when Sam was asking people on the street if they'd seen Iker. Lupe now should be happy and satisfied- there's a guy who does want to marry her. This was her main condition after all. How did those farmers find out Augusto ruined their crops? Mari's suggestion they should rely on justice here was so funny. Augusto is so rich and the authorities are so corrupt that it's pointless to try this approach. Carlota should read something because she should realise very few men would be interested in talking about what colour a woman should paint her nails. I thought the crazy ladies knew a lot of tricks how to keep men interested in them.
Adrian saying Emma constantly complains about her life being a drama and doing nothing about it was a bit..She does point out his family does love him and he's like 'well,yeah...' That's the key, you idiot. Though I love it when people are forced to admit they have an advantage. Adrian agonising over the whole I can't love the daughter of my enemy issue is annoying and boring. I think I actually don't like the actor or the way he portrays the character.

Thank you Adriana, for this fantastic recap! With your humor sprinkled throughout. 'This is rich coming from the guy who left his hospital bed and almost broke into Mari's home.' No kidding, right?

I actually did laugh at Sam riding around on horseback asking for Iker, I don't know it was supposed to be touching but I thought it was funny and kind of sad too. The boy is a go-getter, even though he has no idea where he's going or how to get it...hehe

I like Bertie, I think I might start using that! The man is weird but def a better choice than Non-Saint Augusto. Bertie is supposed to be a rich powerful businessman, why does he have so much time to just hang out at Lupe's house spouting nonsense?

Losing Adrian is a blow for Emma but I don't feel too bad because he isn't what she needs. That girl needs some self-love and self-respect in the worst way. And to get far far away from her horrible mother - I was shocked Vicky actually cared whether or not Emma got 'dirty' from hugging Domi. But then you get the motherly difference from the very beginning. When Emma was in jail Vic didn't even bat an eyelash, when Domi gets arrested she cries inconsolably all night.

Ugh

Guerrero. Great recap, Adriana! I hope Iker clears Domi before he gets killed! Whoa! Interaction between Mari and Elisa. Loved it! And we know that Lazaro is really Jesus--but somehow Mari doesn't realize it. Mari puts her finance/economic studies to good use, to help Augie's tenants. Could this be her career path? And she thinks Heriberto might have jobs for those farmers. Can't wait to see Jesus, Mariluz and Elisa together at the ranch.

Corazon Guerrero Friday show

There will be no recap for yesterday's episode, but everyone is welcome to join in with their ideeas about the show.

Darcy can't possibly carry on recapping as she used to and I can't replace her, either. So we will still write, but there will be episodes where we won't be able to post a recap. We will let you know in advance, so if anyone would like to add their notes&thoughts, they are more than welcome to do it.

Thanks Adriana, for letting us know to go ahead and discuss. I don't know how much I remember about yesterday but a few things stick out.

1. The great hunt for Iker - Everyone was pretty much in on the free Domi at the last minute plan. Damian even more so as he convinced Domi to leave house arrest and run away before they could detain her - giving them more time to find Iker. Augi wasn't a fan and even pulled a gun on Jesus and Sam demanding to know where Domi was!! But they didn't know. In the end, they tricked Iker into believing Domi wanted to run away with him and he was arrested. Domi was freed and Iker is going down for the crime.

2. Elisa was back at the Finca and talking with Mariluz again. They talked about her childhood love with Lisando and her current heartbreak with Jesus. Elisa encouraged Mari to fight for the man he loves because a love like that only comes along once in a lifetime.

3. Emma started up dance practice with Adrian's old crew. Not only did Belen NOT apologize for making that video about her she was downright rude to Emma in her own home telling her they will never be friends and she's glad she's no longer with Adrian so she can't influence him anymore. Emma should have thrown her out on her entitled ASS!!! No way, is it okay to for her to talk to Emma like that in her own house!!

Guerrero/ OT

I want to thank Adriana again for covering for me as I took this week off, I got to a point last weekend where I was just so exhausted I needed to take a break and rebalance my home/work life. I love recapping and I am so enjoying this ride on the patio but I reached a point where I just have to admit I bit off a little more than I can chew and set a recapping pace for myself between Guerrero and Camino that I just can't sustain.

As Adriana commented above, what we need to do is switch things up a little on the patio. I am committed to doing recaps for Monday and Tuesday every week and I know Adriana has committed to Thursdays and sometimes Weds when/if she is able. What we can do on Weds and Fridays when there are no recaps is just discuss the episode as a patio, and/or someone else can posts notes or a recap if they would like to volunteer. I hope this works well for everyone, we have a small but mighty patio and enjoy discussing this silly show with all of you!!!!

Guerrero. Darcy and Adriana: You guys are incredible. I don't know how you managed to come up with detailed insightful recaps day after day! Darcy: Your plan for going forward sounds very good. Of course, the rest of us will have to pay a bit more attention to the episodes on Wednesday and Friday. :)

i didn't quite get Augusto in this episode. He promissed Iker he'd get him out of jail and told the same story to Domenica. But I can't believe he'd let Iker live. There was something Jesus said to Samuel about this that I didn't catch. If Iker is lucky, he'd get a beating, and if not, he'll get killed. I wonder what Augusto was planning to do to get Domenica out of that mess as he had no idea where Iker was and time was running out. It was funny to see Conchita being all 'what are your intentions with my daughter'. And then become as soft as a marshmallow when Mr. B says marriage is his goal. Victoriana now seems to blame both her daughters for ruining the family image. I thought Domenica was her favourite and thus could do no wrongAnd then she wants Dom to promise to stop seeing 'los mecanicos' in order to help her emotional health? I'm pretty sick of her. If it wasn't for the fact it's so funny to watch her fail every time she tries something, I might give up.
