CAMINO Ep 35 Part 1

Previously Memo opens his door to reveal Karen. She looks around rather condescendingly as she drops a bag on the counter, a present, a yellow baby outfit. She tells Memo that she is worried about Dani who confided everything that he and Dani said to each other about being in love. She states the obvious, that everything was ruined because Memo failed to tell her that Isa is his daughter. She reveals it was his novia who took it upon herself to share that news! Ursula went to the company and told Fausto. When Memo retorts that Ursula wouldn’t do that, Karen tells him that a jealous woman is capable of that and much more! If Ursula suspected how he felt about Dani, what better way to separate them than to reveal his secret. He shouldn’t trust Ursula, and further, it is very possible that Ursula is not even pregnant! His stare reflects that he neither likes her nor believes her. And yet, there is a flicker … (Credit: Diana)

After hearing Amparo's advice, Lupita wonders if she is going to forgive her father and reconcile. Amparo doesn't know; there is something else she has to say about couples--you never really know the people you think you love...they tend to disappoint you. When Lupita pleads with her to give it a try...she knows her father is regretful and loves her, Gaby tells her to stop wishing! Their father deceived their mother horribly; and JuanPa is blaming her for something she knew nothing about! Men like that don't deserve women like them! Amparo explains that their situations are different; Gaby's situation is not necessarily less important that hers, but life gives us lessons...that help us make decisions. The only thing she can do right now is face the problem and be assured that she is very valuable as a woman. And Gaby has her support as well as her sisters and the entire family...and the same goes for Lupita. Amparo then goes to check on Mac the Rat.

Memo doesn't believe a word Karen has said; so she tells him he can confirm it because even Dani knows it...but her friend is so prudent! Karen then gives Memo another piece of advice--find out if your bride-to-be is really pregnant; you can only expect the worst from someone who lies and betrays those she says she loves (if the shoe fits, Karen!...). When Memo tells her to stop since he will be marrying that woman, Karen hisses that he really doesn't want to marry Ursula; and she is there to give him an out so that he can be happy with the woman he truly loves...is he really going to give up on Dani so easily? They are in love and have an opportunity to make a family with Isabela...isn't that what he wants most? Memo thinks that all Karen wants is to have her path cleared so she can have Fausto. Karen cheers--he is sharper than he appears! She tells him to listen to her; everyone will win! The fake pregnancy trick is very old and cheap...he shouldn't let himself be fooled. Memo who has had flickers of doubt all along tells Karen to leave his house!

Amparo catches Mac stuffing his face with the tamales and chides him for using their son. This is enough! He'd better get up, get dressed and leave...right now!! Hehehe!

Yolanda pleads with Grace to go and talk to her father to ask him to come back. Grace says, "No!" but Yolanda continues pleading and bribes her with money so she can go to the dance.

Humberto comments that (long-faced) Memo doesn't look like a man who is about to get married continues to speak up for Ursula whom he thinks is a good woman (boy, is he fooled!). Memo, looking confused and doubtful, asks his father if he went to the doctor with Ursula...and did he notice anything odd? Humberto didn't notice anything and asks why the question, but Memo only scratches and tells him it's nothing.

 

CAMINO Ep 35 Part 2

Ursula sees Cesar at the restaurant and asks what he is doing there. Cesar tells her to "Take it easy'" he found out that their scheme for the restaurant fell apart...and if there is no money, there is no divorce! Ursula sneers that divorced or not, she will marry Memo in a few days! Cesar threatens that if he doesn't get his money, he will speak out when the priest asks if here is anyone who objects to the marriage! (YESS!!) Amparo sees Ursula give Cesar a quick slap; so Cesar explains that Ursula has asked him to give her away, but he thinks Mac should be the one...but Cesar can't say no to his (kissin, humpin') cousin. Amparo thinks it's a good idea since Mac doesn't deserve anything after what he did!

Chuchita tells Dani that she is on her way to the restaurant to take the wedding dress so that Ursula can try it on. On her way out, she sees JuanPa and asks if he wants to go with her to see his girlfriend. JuanPa bemoans. "What girlfriend?" After Chuchita leaves, Dani pleads with JuanPa to call Gaby, but JuanPa refuses...he will not dive into a pool of lies!

Gaby convinces Humberto to take his meds. While there, she seeks his advice since his marriage was so perfect; how did they do it to to resolve their problems. Humberto advises that every marriage has their ups and downs, but he and her grandmother always used their love and good faith to overcome. He adds that if a relationship is to remain at peace, their has to be communication and understand clearly what it is that is good and bad for them...there also has to be respect. When Gaby cries that she had a fight with JuanPa and she doesn't know what to do so that JuanPa won't be angry with her, Humberto tells her that JuanPa needs to realize that he made a mistake...and if he doesn't, then he doesn't deserve her.

Mac is on his way out and complains of a pain on his side. Amparo thinks he is faking it and tells him to leave! Mac walks out holding his side and moaning in pain. He sees Grace and tells her to take him to her mother because he can't even walk. When he shows her where he is hurting, Grace gives him a swift punch on his side bringing him to his knees! And she tells him to stay away from them...she could care less what happens to him!

Lupita gets a message from Sebas who is there at the restaurant. Gaby tells her to go and enjoy herself...love can be very short. After Lupita leaves, Gaby cries hoping that JuanPa calls her.

Ursula excitedly enters telling Memo that Chuchita is bringing her dress to try on. Her excitement quickly ends when Memo tells her that he wants to go see her doctor tomorrow. When Ursula tries to dissuade him, Memo asks why she doesn't want him to go.

Sebas tells Lupita that he came to ask how Gaby is. Lupita tells him that she is much better. When Lupita adds tha Gaby is very sad because of their parent's problems, Sebas isn't fooled, so Lupita acknowledges that it was because of JuanPa. Sebas asks if it's serious or canit be fixed. Lupita tells him it's bad. Sebas pretends to leave but hen tells Lupita that he is there mainly to be with her and hugs her. when Amparo asks if they are novios, Sebas tells her that all he can say is that Lupita is an incredible girl. Amparo agrees...and tells him to take care of her little girl...with his life!

Ursula tries to convince Memo that they can't go to the doctor; she has a million things to do! As Memo insists and tells her that he already made an appointment, Chuchita arrives with the dress. And with that, Memo and Leo are asked to leave. ---------

Dani is in bed with Isa who sighs that she wants to go to Memo's wedding. Dnai comforts her and tells her they can talk about it tomorrow.

 

CAMINO Ep 35 Part 3

JuanPa sees all the missed calls and messages from Gaby so he calls her and asks what she wants. When she starts to reiterate that she didn't know anything about Isa, he tells her that if she is going to start her little singsong, then they should hang up. When he tells her that they can talk later, Gaby threatens that if he hangs up, he can forget about her. JuanPa coldly asks her to follow though.

Dani tells Fausto that JuanPa had a fight with Gaby. Fausto thinks it speaks well of JuanPa, but Dani is upset that they have been affected by something that has nothing to do with them. Fausto tells her that JuanPa isn't too smart, Gaby lied to him from the start...and Fausto is glad that JuanPa finally opened his eyes.

Lupita tells Gaby that Sebas didn't know anything, but he suspects that they had a fight. When Gaby cries that life has no meaning without JuanPa, Lupita encourages her not to give up...they just need to talk. She needs to think positively...their Family is growing and that is a good thing. As she tells her that Isa being Memos daughter is good news, Chuchita enters and overhears. Chuchita asks if it's really true, so the girls confirm it.

Dani calls Memo and tells him that he will continue being her assistant, but things will change...Fausto doesn't want him coming to the house. They can meet tomorrow at 11 After they hang up, Memo wishes Dani knew that he loves her, that he stole his heart and he misses her.

Isa has a nightmare where Memo chides her for not going to her wedding. Dani runs in calming her down and asking what is wrong. Isa tells her about the nightmare...she doesn't want Memo to be angry with her or to stop loving her...crying, she pleads to go to Memo's wedding. Dani assures her that Memo's affection for her will never change, even if she doesn't go to his wedding, because she is very special to Memo.

Memo and Ursula meet with the doctor. Memo explains that he has a six year old daughter whom he didn't get to experience as a baby...so now he doesn't want to miss a thing with this baby. He would like to see an ultrasound of their baby!

Mac returns to the restaurant moaning and groaning that he really feels bad this time. Amparo refuses to believe him and tells him to leave, but Mac moans and groans even louder.

The doctor tells Memo that it is too early to get an ultrasound image. The doctor then mentions another procedure but the baby could be at risk.

Amparo realizes that Mac has a fever and is not lying (this time). She runs for help to take him to the hospital.

Yolando chides Grace for seeing that Mac was ill and she did nothing. Yolanda is dying of worry and runs out to see what she can find out.

Isa pleads with Dani to let her go to the wedding. Fausto approaches and tells her that they have already said that they are not going...and he doesn't want to hear a word about it anymore. As Fausto drags her off to school, Isa cries to Dani asking for help.

Humberto and Leo struggle to get Mac on his feet. Leo thinks they should just throw Mac to the street (do it! LOL), but Amparo tells them to hurry so they can leave. Nelida arrives so Amparo tells her to take care of the restaurant.

 

CAMINO Ep 35 Part 4

Isa tells her friend Sofi that she is very sad because her parents won't take her go to Memo's wedding. Isa knows that it is her father that doesn't want her to go. Sofi then shares a no-fail trick she uses when she wants her parents to let her do what she wants.

Still at the doctor's office, the doctor tells Memo that it is too early for an ultra sound...the fetus is too small...and they won't be able to hear the heart beat. When Memo argues that Amparo got her ultrasound early on, the doc reiterates that it's too early; they won't be able to get anything until the 5th week of pregnancy. When Memo asks if they can come in a couple of weeks, Ursula nods in agreement...as does the doc.

Yolanda arrives at the restaurant. Nelida asks her to sit down and be patient because she is alone and has a lot of customers. She then spills about Mac getting sick and being taken to the medical center. When Nelida turns away to get a menu, Yolanda splits.

Sebas gives his father and a committee a presentation about water filtration to conserve energy and help the environment.

Amparo cries that they are taking too long. As Humberto and Leo argue, Yolanda approaches, but crouches back and hides behind the wall as the doctor comes out and tells the family that Mac has appendicitis; they must act quickly....Mac needs an emergency surgery. Amparo cries that she didn't believe Mac when he told her he felt sick. Humberto tries to calm her down...and Leo assures her it's not her fault since Mac always lies. All the while, Yolanda eavesdrops.

Memo is at work with Dani who scolds him for getting the wrong plants. When he asks if she is sure, Dani thinks he is accusing her of lying...she does not get confused! When Memo apologizes, Dani goes off on him telling him that he always plays the innocent and claims it was a mistake! She wasted all her morning for nothing!

Sebas continues his ecofriendly presentation. Eugenio claps proudly as Karen looks like she could care less and Fausto looks bewildered. Eugenio praises Sebas for his presentation and thinks his proposal is very good and viable; Fausto thinks it's a waste of time; and Karen advises that it would be hard to make it a reality. Sebas argue that if they don't act now, the competition will get ahead and it will be too late. Fausto is out and so is Karen.

Dani continues that every mistake has consequences because trust is not recuperated so quickly, the scars remain. Memo generously admits that it was his fault and Dani agrees--it was his fault! But that doesn't make her feel better. Memo doesn't know what else to say. Dani thought he was incapable of lying and they would always speak truthfully. She thought they were a team and that they would create a million gardens together. She thought he could count her...and she thought she would have a second chance t be happy, to feel loved. She dreamed of being by his side because she trusted him; and she had hopes like a fool! And he ruined it all!

Camino #35

Thanks, RGV Chick. You got all the stuff except... Chuchita overheard Gaby and Lupita about Isabella being Memo's daughter. Fausto will have another conniption.

I guess appendicitis might get Macario to stop crying wolf; this is a karmic moment. However, nobody in the Santos household is likely to turn him out once he is released from hospital.

Diego made the good threat and he has a back-up plan as well. What will Ursula try now?

Sebas does have a good brain after all, but why is Karen trying to put roadblocks in when his idea could make the company a leader?

More tomorrow.

Rgv Chick, the writers created a maelstrom of anger, tears and endless recriminations threatening to sap the few remaining vestiges of joy and happiness. Yet, your beautifully painted imagery, wit, wisdom and insight were the perfect antidote to counteract the darkness and lies that threaten to irreparably harm the heart of this story.

“Cesar can't say no to his (kissin, humpin') cousin” was beyond - so unexpected, so clever and so desperately needed! “You can only expect the worst from someone who lies and betrays those she says she loves (if the shoe fits, Karen!...)” was sublime. Loved “(long-faced) Memo.”

Your “she thought” theme eloquently captured Dani’s heartache of her fractured dreams fading away: “Dani thought he was incapable of lying and they would always speak truthfully... She thought they were a team… She thought he could count her...and she thought she would have a second chance to be happy, to feel loved. She dreamed of being by his side because she trusted him; and she had hopes like a fool!” While her words reflected her angst, passion remains and with it, hope. When all else fails, there is always hope.

It was surprising that it was Lupita who urged Amparo to forgive Macario while Gaby reminded her of their father’s deceit. An interesting role reversal.

Karen’s words obviously affected Memo as he took Ursula to the doctors. It’s a shame he didn’t home in on the meaningful glances Ursula and her “doctor” exchanged. Looks at though our hopes for a non-wedding all hinge on Cesar.

I was glad to see Eugenio seemed genuinely impressed with Sebas’ presentation. Perhaps this will give him a boost of confidence which he needs so desperately.

“Mac is on his way out and complains of a pain on his side”. Well, he has always been a pain in our sides so I’m happy the favor was returned. I’ve no doubt he will live.

I like Isabel’s very feminine touches; the pink backpack, the pearl headband…so sweet for a lovely young girl.

VENCER #48

Notes from the couch . . . "just the facts edition"


THE MAIN EVENT

After Ester physically attacks Misael and she is pulled off of him, he tells them what they need to know about the accident. He tells them he is taking responsibility for what he did. He explains that the tragedy happened when they were being chased in the truck because he was carrying money for the Funes company. He tried to save Iván, Margarita and himself when he saw that their pursuers looked very dangerous. He lost control and they crashed. As Ester is quick to blame him 100% , Misael wants to blame the Funes. They were the ones that sent him to bring back the money. He didn't show up earlier because after the crash, he was kidnapped. He just got out of the hospital because before his captors let him go, they gave him a good beating. Ester insists he turn himself in. Misael agrees but is worried he will become the sacrificial lamb because the Funes have money. Ester says he has to take the risk. Julia agrees. Celeste doesn't and neither does Rayo because she is worried about Danny being without his father. They all finally agree to give Misael one week to find evidence of the chase and kidnapping. Then he will go to the police.

Armando and Zac are trying to find Misael for Santino. They are following Julia all over.

Later, Julia, Danny and Rodolfo are going to meet with Misael. Misael is moving to a new location because he knows he is being followed and was recently found. He is leaving the area for a while and wants to see Danny before he goes. As Julia is leaving with Danny and Rodolfo, she runs into Flavia who reminds her about the money she owes her. Danny pipes up saying that she needn't worry because they are going to see his dad who will give his mother money. Flavia doesn't miss a beat in calling the police and giving them Rodolfo's license plate number. Juli, Danny and Misael meet and talk. He is going to look for the the proof he needs to prove his innocence. He will return. He tells Danny that he will be away for a few days and then he will be back for good. Suddenly, the police arrive. Misael is arrested. He blames Julia thinking she called the police.

THE REST OF THE STORY

-Angel tells Braulio that he has discovered that the same lawyer defended both Zac and Armando. MIsael introduced the lawyer to Homero and the lawyer introduced his father to the lender. Armando was hired by the Ordaz family for his father. Who knows what else Silvano has been involved in? Angel and Braulio go to see Silvano in person. The receptionist says he is not in. They decide to go up to his office anyway and because Angel is not thinking clearly due to being angry, he nearly steps into an open elevator shaft when the elevator arrives. Braulio sees the elevator itself is not there and luckily holds him back. Braulio warns him that if he allows himself to be carried away by anger, he could make a mistake he will be sorry for the rest of his life. Angel admits to Braulio he hasn't gone to the police about Misael because of Danny. Braulio thinks it is also because of Julia. Angel doesn't disagree.


 

VENCER Part 2

-Ana Sofí asks Mirna to find out what is going between Angel and Julia. Angel has been strange. Mirna finds out that things are not going well for Angel and Julia when her father lets the cat out of the bag after she asks Angel why he looks so down.

-Flavia apologizes to Jero for kissing him. She blames it on stress and loneliness. He is the only one who is there for her. Jero accepts her apology and tells her he will not be moving in with her because he wants to stay out of Max's way.

-Armando says goodbye to Homero. Homero tells him that ghosts are going to visit him but never elaborates on it.

-Ebe tells Jero that his monthly tuition payment is going up 20%. Jero tells him he will do what he needs to take care of it.

-Jero admits to Rodolfo, in casual conversation, that he admires Ester for taking action and taking charge of her grandson. That is why he fell in love with her.

-Lenar offers Jero a place to stay while he looks for a place of his own. He is surprised and tells her he will think about it. He asks her if it has something to do with Donato being a mistake. She says no. She invites him to supper with the family.

-Donato tells Lenar that he has now realized that she wants Jero back in the house is because she still has feelings for him. Lenar says she is just supporting the father of her sons. He doesn't believe her.

-Jero comes to supper. He wants to wait for Donato to eat. Lenar doesn't think that is necessary. Donato shows up drunk and despondent. He sees that Lenar has put her hand on Jero's. He asks Lenar what has he been doing there all of these years with her and her sons. Her ex shows up and everything has changed. He begs Jero not to take Lenar and his family away. Jero and the boys try to calm him down.

-Ester researches Braulio at work and finds out he doesn't owe the Funes company any money.

-Braulio tells Ester he hopes she is staying out of his personal business. If he hides things from his wife, it is to protect her because she is ill. Ester says he has always underestimated his wife. He warns her to be careful because Celeste could become disillusioned with their "supposed" friendship.

-Braulio asks Celeste to not tell her friends about the new house. He doesn't want their bad vibes to spoil it all. She disagrees. As he continues ragging on her friends and their envy, she tells him to STOP IT.

-Rayo admits to Celeste that she scratched up Braulio's car and broke the windows. She tells her she doesn't care that she did it either. Braulio is a horrible man and he deserves more than what she did. Celeste tells her that the past doesn't matter and that she can always count on her, Ester and Julia.

-Mati has plans to meet Teo in a dark place and for them to "do it." Once he becomes a man, they can be novios. Rayo asks her not to do that to Teo. Mati laughs and tells Rayo how funny it would be if Rayo showed up and not her.

Jarifa, you superbly narrated all of these (mostly pivotal) events.

“Misael agrees but is worried he will become the sacrificial lamb…” Nothing about Misael is in the least bit sacrificial…

Flavia saying she was sorry? Like hell she was ☹

When Misael was making his confession, Celeste rightly moved to Ester’s side to comfort her. But what about Rayo who was crying and looking crushed? Julia should have gone over to her immediately and/or Celeste should have pulled her into the embrace with Ester. Once again, this child had to bear more bitter memories being the last thought of her mother’s “friends”.

“Mati laughs and tells Rayo how funny it would be if Rayo showed up and not her”. I wonder if that was a spur of the moment comment or was that what Mati had in mind all along? Despicable. Silly, starry and googly eyed Teo.

Jero, his boys and Lenar looked as though they were the picture-perfect happy family. I felt for Donato who in fairness was a good father figure during Jero’s long absence. If Jeronimo has any sense (I think he does), he will turn down Lenar’s offer to stay there.

I wonder if Angel will eventually meet up with Misael.

Ahhh Homero. Does he think Rayo is a vision/ghost? If only there was some chance of a happy ending for him.

Jarifa, nothing that occurs here is predictable except for your enthralling, marvelous recaps. Thank you!

Diana, you have such a way with words: “Once again, this child had to bear more bitter memories being the last thought of her mother’s ‘friends.’ “ That described Rayo’s situation perfectly. Her mother’s “friends” give good lip service but that is about all. They didn’t even notice her leave they were so into their own “concerns.”

Flavia is only sorry she ruined her chances of being able to “accost” Jero more intimately in the privacy of her own home. I was happy she called the police on Misael. That plot line needed to get moving. Maybe if Misael is in jail, we will see less of him and his chest.

Poor Donato. He and Jero are both too good for Lenar.

Rgv Chick thank you for your always witty recaps and for bringing a little fun into what has gotten way too dreary. Come on writers, let up already!!

I suspected Mac was serious this time when he started grabbing his side in the restaurant and I still cheering when Grace punched him in the side! LOL Ironic timing, appendicitis hits right as you're faking sick! He should be okay though, he was still alert so I'm guessing they got him there before it burst.

Lupita has fallen hard and isn't even trying to look distant or detached when Sebas is near. I hope these two make it official and bring us some lighthearted joy to go with all the anst and anguish! Although I do wonder what Sebas will think when he finds out about Isa, hopefully he's smarter than JuanPa!

I think just Ursa's looks at home in the apt when Memo mentioned the doctor should have been enough to get Memo suspicious! But at last....sigh. Come on Ceasar, do your job!!!

Thanks, Rgv Chick, you made a negative episode a little lighter. Hope the tide turns soon. I was sure someone would discover Grace or Yolanda. Grace punching Mac was a bright spot! And right where it hurts! I didn’t realize he wasn’t faking until he was out in the parking lot still bent over and moaning. But apparently the family is aware that he lies a lot! I hate that Amparo is blaming herself.

Fausto and Karen were so rude when Sebastiana was giving his presentation. Both on their phones. I would think Karen would be more tuned in to her brother, but she’s more interested in her own life.

Glad Memo is now a little doubtful of Ursula. Hopefully he’ll be less likely to blindly believe her now.

I was very disappointed in JuanPa. Even Dani couldn’t move him. Gaby needs to move on. I didn’t realize she said if you hang up forget about me. I hope he has to really grovel to win her back.

Poor Memo. Dani really lit into him. I wonder if he got the plants she had asked for or not.

With the only happy moment being the punch I was glad I recorded Ghosts so I could go to bed on a lighter note!

I certainly don't blame Amparo for not believing Mac. I didn't believe it either until he was outside where no one could see him. I have mixed feelings about Grace punching him in the very spot where he had pain. On the one hand, he did need to be decked/kicked/punched for all he has done and, in Grace's case, for his nonchalant attitude toward her...and I'm sure it has always been that way. On the other hand, hitting him where he was obviously experiencing severe pain could have been fatal. And yes, Mac will survive; the doc told them that they had gotten him there just in time and he would do well. And no, I don't think Mac will stop faking being ill; he'll probably milk the appendicitis episode to the Macs(x)!

ITA agree that Ursula's glances should have been a bright red flag for Memo...as well as the doctor's hesitation and looks. It's aggravating how Memo can be so astute about some things and so naive and clueless about other things, especially when it comes to Ursula.

Diana, I would like to take credit for the "thought" theme, but I was only translating what Dani actually said...so credit to the writers :-) I don't think Dani's and Memo's working relationship will last too long; there are too many hurt feelings and emotions that will affect any type of work they try to do.

Darcy, good luck tonight with the double episodes, they are supposed to be "intense"!

"I was very disappointed in JuanPa. Even Dani couldn’t move him." I was disappointed too, but I did forget to include the scene where Chuchita talks to him and speaks up for Gaby, saying that Gaby is a good person and honest. She also basically told him that he should trust his feelings (love) for Gaby. I thought that made JuanPa think twice about how he is (mis)judging Gaby.

I was almost surprised that Braulio saved Angel’s life. Years ago someone fell to their death on a tv show by stepping into an elevator that wasn’t there. I wonder if it happens in real life.

Rayo is so right about Braulio, he is a horrible man. I hope Celeste soon realizes it.

Flavia was in her glory, kissing Jero and getting Misael arrested all in one episode. I feel a little sorry for Misael. I do think he’s telling the truth. I hope Angel can talk to him. I had to laugh at your chest comment about seeing less of his chest. There’s something about the way his chest hairs swirl that I can’t stand. I always wish he’d button up!

So Homero thinks Rayo is a ghost. I hope he realizes she’s real so they can bond. I really think he’s her father. And she needs someone to really love her and care for her.

Poor Jero, two woman want him but not the one he loves. The writers are waiting a long time to get these two together. I feel sorry for Donato too. He was the man of that family for years. Not sure why Lenar decided she wants Jero back.

Liz, I agree with you that Gaby needs to go on - without JuanPa. It pains me to say this but his jutted out chin and unkind words hurled at her was not too dissimilar from the painful way his sister lambasted Memo last night. JuanPa was far, far worse of course.

Rgv Chick, I should have said thank you for the way you related Dani's "thought" theme. While the words were hers, I would not have known what she said if not for your translating and capturing them so well.

Urban, I could be totally wrong but I got the impression Karen wasn't supportive of Sebas' presentation simply because she doesn't take him seriously. I didn't see her as being malicious but just not impressed as he has likely been more of a slacker than not.

Bratty Mati just loves to feel large and in charge by manipulating people . She is playing games with Rayo and Teo to see how far she can Push them . I hope that Rayo refuses Mati's suggestion of Rayo meeting Teo in the dark . Mati seems obsessed with Forcing these two into losing their virginity.

The theme of this show seems to be people trying to control other people .

I thought Mac would get panicky when he saw Grace because his secret life was about to collide with his family life, but I guess the ratfink was in too much pain to think that far ahead. Looks like Yolanda has never been there before. And I too laughed when Grace hit Mac where it already hurt.

My highlight was Isa and her classmate ruminating about her problem.

Karen and Fausto didn't even try to give Sebas a chance. I hope Eugenio saw that.

Poor Dani. She knows Memo needs to stay in Isa's life (and should go to her dad's wedding). Between Cesar the secret husband/lover as a best man and whatever getup Chuchita has concocted for our tattooed wildcat, I wouldn't miss this wedding.

I do not want to see Jeronimo back with Lenar nor do I want to see that vampire Flavia sink her teeth into him. It seems that the only pleasure she gets out of life is creating misery for others.

I hope Julia can rid herself of Misael. Not sure what that will take.

Ana Sofi and Silvano need comeuppance now.

Thanks, Jarifa. Excellent "Just the Facts," which certainly were more than just the facts. Any way you dish a recap is always a treat.

I'm thinking Lenar is pretty good to a man when she's in to him, but when she's done with him she has no mercy on his feelings. The embarrassment and pain in her sons' eyes at Donato's distress were realistic.

I don't see how Misael could sort out things in a week even if he really tried, so I'm okay with him going to jail and letting the police investigate. But it'll be a shame if Santino has police on his payroll. Misael knows Angel is not a crook and he was a fool not to exchange information with him.

Yes, it sure hurts to see these adult women not give her the support she needs, especially not following up with where she's living.

They are and the only thing I can think of as to why is that Sebas and Lupita are still so fragile, the slightest wave would be too much. JuanPa was always too buttoned up (IMHO) but his reaction was really surprising. I really feel badly for Gaby and hope he realizes soon that he really overreacted, especially as Gaby had no idea!

VENCER LA AUSENCIA #49 Part 1

Notes from the couch . . .

All I can say is WOW!

PRESENT

We see a figure dressed all in black at Santino's office building taking a repair warning sign off of a faulty elevator and putting it on a functional one. Santino is leaving his offices. He is talking on his cellphone to Zac saying that he is going to see Angel. He wants Zac to be monitoring when Misael arrives at the office building . Santino tries to find an elevator that isn't "under repair. " He finally finds the same elevator that Angel almost killed himself in if not for Braulio. The doors open and at the last moment he saves himself from stepping into the void. Alas, the figure dressed in black makes sure he takes that step and Santino hurtles to the bottom of he elevator shaft.

BRAULIO "We always think if we plan everytihg well, we can get our own way but in reality, nothing is certain."

THE NIGHT BEFORE

1. As the pollice cuff him, Misael blames Julia. The police read him the charges. Danny gets hysterical begging them not to arrest his dad. Rodolfo appears to take charge of Danny and console Julia. The police take Misael away. (FINALLY)

2. Zac and Armando watch the whole incident smiling from their car. Zac calls Silvano to give him the good news that Misael has been arrested.

3. Jero makes sure that Donato know that this is his house and asks Ebe to get him some coffee. Donato blames him. He needs the boys to reassure him that he is still their dad. They do. Lenar starts to chew Donato out for coming in drunk showing them no respect. Donato says she is the one who has never treated him with respect. She was his girlfriend, sure, but she had never stopped loving Jero. Never!

4. Angel tells his father about Silvano's lawyer defending Zac and Armando his nurse. He is convinced that Silvano wanted to find a way to bankrupt their company so they would take him on as a partner. His father thinks not. Homero says Silvano had asked him formally to be a partner and he turned him down. That was that. Angel asks if he does not find it odd that Silvano would want to be a partner in the Funes business so badly. Homero doesn't get it. Angel asks him if he is absolutely sure that he met the lawyer through Misael.

5. Julia goes to the police station and tries to talk to Misael. He accuses her of betraying him and wanting to see him in jail. He doesn't need her help. He will take care of himself. She says she would like to be able to leave him all alone on his own but their son is suffering. That is the only reason she is there. They take Misael to a jail cell.

6. Julia asks the police officer what happens next. He says he is wanted in Matehuala. They sent them a message saying Misael had been apprehended. Now they have to wait until they hear from them as to what happens next.

7. Rodolfo puts Dany to bed. No child should have to see his father arrested. He and Gina go to find Julia.


 

VENCER Part 2

8. As Donato sobers up, he mentions how bitter the coffee tastes. Lenar tells him not as bitter as he will be when he leaves the house. Jero asks her how could she say such a thing??? He is in his own home. Jero says he is the one who should be leaving. It was a terrible idea to come to supper without knowing if Donato was in agreement. Adair helps Donato to bed. Jero goes to leave but Lenar wants him stay and talk. Jero leaves.

9. Ester is at her place, with her bulletin board fully operational, thinking about what Misael told them, what Angel told her, the stolen tablet, etc

10. Julia tells Misael that they got an answer from Matehuala. He will be kept in Mexico City because the jail in San Luis Potosí is full. The proceedings will be handled long distance. Misael asks Julia if it wasn't she who turned him in, who was it? Ester?Celeste? Rayo? He becomes enraged and concludes it must have been Angel Funes. She seriously doubts he would have done it. She tells him to quit playing the victim and to start thinking on how he is going to defend himself.

11. Flavia visits Celeste and Braulio. She has news. Misael showed up and Julia was hiding him which makes her just as much of a criminal as he is. She called the police and that criminal Misael must have been captured by now. A surprised Braulio asks her to clarify that she turned him in. Flavia says yes! it was her duty as a good citizen. Celeste feels so sorry for Julia and Danny. When Braulio comments that it was a surprise and asks Celeste to agree, Celeste says it was no surprise to her because she already knew Misael had reappeared. Braulio looks shocked. Flavia is surprised herself that Celeste knew.

12. Mirna calls Ana Sofí to inform her that the relationship between Angel and Julia is a failure. They are super estranged. Ana Sofí says she knew it because she knows Angel so well. Ana Sofí says she will be there as his "best friend" until they end up back together again.

13. An angry Braulio wants to know why Celeste didn't call the police when she saw Misael and why she didn't tell him. Flavia says she put the whole apartment complex at risk. Flavia is surprised because Celeste is so responsible. It was her duty to call the police. Celeste explains that Misael has his own version of the events and everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt. That is why she gave him her vote of confidence. Flavia says whatever his version is, he is now with the police. She leaves.

14. Braulio doesn't understand how Celeste can hide things from him but when he hides things from her, like buying the house, she gets all bent out of shape. She tells him not to start but he does. There is NO comparison. She not only kept a secret but made her self a criminal's accomplice. Celeste explains that Misael was trying to flee from assailants that were following them. He lost control of the truck. He never thought that things were going to end up like this. He doesn't believe that and sees this situation as more proof that they have to get away from the apartment complex.

15. Angel gets a message from Ana Sofí asking to see him as soon as possible , PLEASE. He ignores it. He then gets a call from Braulio telling him that the police caught Misael because a neighbor called the police. Angel wants to know where they took him. He needs to go there. Braulio has no idea where they took him and tells him it would be better to wait until tomorrow.
 

VENCER Part 3

16. Rodolfo and Gina bring Julia home. Danny has been sleeping like a log. Julia feels guilty about what she and Misael are putting their son through. Chepina says they will all work together to get him over this rough spot. Celeste sends Julia a text telling her that Flavia called the police on Misael. Nobody is surprised. They need to find Misael a lawyer.

17. Julia, thinking he is asleep, goes to see Danny.He is sitting up waiting for her. He is angry with her and will always be because she made the police come and take his father away. She tries to explain but he puts his fingers in his ears and refuses to listen. He feels the same way the next morning. She tries to talk to him again and he leaves the table. He never wants to talk to her again.

18. Jero tells Flavia that he will rent that room that she offered him.

19. Santino is talking to the receptionist in the building.She must have told hm about the elevator. He wants to know how nobody knew about it. There could have been a very serious accident. She says she talked to maintenance. He asks if they talked to the vendor so it could be fixed. She assures him that they have. They are coming this afternoon or early tomorrow morning. He tells her she needs to insist that they come sooner. She tells him that Angel Funes was insisting on seeing him. He smiles and gets out his phone.

20. Angel answers the call from Silvano. Angel says he has been trying to reach him for days. Silvano tells "Angelito" that he knows and that he is a very busy man. With such insistence, he thinks the Angel wants to sell him his business. Angel says no. Silvano says it must be about the lawsuit he filed against him. Angel has no idea what he is talking about. Silvano says you cannot talk about those things on the phone. He will call him back with a time and place for a meeting in person.

21. Zac visits Misael at the jail with good news. His boss is having the lawyer pay his bail so he can get out of there right away. All he has to do is to be nice and cooperative and tell them where the money is.

22. Angel tells Braulio about his pending meeting with Silvano. Braulio wonders why Silvano is being so mysterious. What is he trying to hide? He tells Angel not to go to the meeting. Angel says once and for all they could have Silvano put his cards on the table and see if he is being honest. Braulio thinks it is more important to know first know what is going on with Misael. Braulio knows him so he could ask to go visit him. Angel agrees to go visit Misael.

23. Back at the jail, Zac cannot believe that Misael doesn't know where the money is. He reiterates that Misael didn't tell them when they had him in that prison nor when they gave him that really really good beating. He suggests that he open his mouth and start talking because if not, others are going to start to pay his debt. Zac makes it clear that he is talking about his wife. That upsets Misael. She has nothing to do with this. Zac says that is why he has to talk directly to the boss. Misael is not interested. Zac says he should know that the lawyer is using all of his connections for him to get bail and and stay free while his case is being tried. Misael says he never asked for that. Zac says that is the deal. He needs to tell the boss where his money is. Misael asks what if he doesn't do that?? There will be no bail for him and they will make sure he goes back to a jail Matehuala where nobody from his family will be able to visit him.
 

VENCER Part 4

24. Chepina tells Julia that although Danny keeps blaming her for the arrest of his father, it will pass. Julia sees Flavia and says she cannot believe that she was such a bad person that she wold report Misael to the police. Flavia says she was not about to become the accomplice of a murderer. Julia informs her that she knows nothing. It was an accident. She has no idea of how things happened so she shouldn't be out there scheming. Flavia tells her to watch her words because she will be calling the police next to tell them that she was hiding her husband. Julia goes to sock Flavia but Chepina holds her back and leads her away.

25. Adair tells Jero things were still rough between his mother and Donato last night. He asks his dad if he could, would he get back with their mother. He was first. Jero says that means nothing . She is now with somebody else and that needs to be respected. Jero adds that there is absolutely nothing left between him and their mother. Jero also realizes that Donato was a kind of father to him and Ebe and he doesn't want to interfere in that. Adair says Donato wanted to know where the truck would be so he could see Jero. Donato appears wanting to talk to Jero.

26. Celeste texts Ester to let her know that Flavia came to tell them that she called the police on Misael. Ester calls her . Celeste cannot believe that Flavia did it. She never liked her but she went beyond the limit with this one. Ester says she doesn't want to sound heartless, but it is probably the best that could have happened. It was time. Now, Misael can tell the authorities his side of the story. Being honest, she doesn't believe everything that he told them. Celeste does believe his story. Ester says she doesn't know the Funes that well but she doesn't think they would be at fault. They have good values. Celeste tells her sometimes you can go to school with a person and know her most of your life and still not know her. Ester says that is why she would rather be alone than in bad company. Celeste says she has Denis and Jero, right? Ester ends up telling her the truth about her "relationship" with Jero.

27. Braulio and Angel are at the jail to see Misael. Braulio thinks it is best for him to go in first to see Misael since he does know him. Angel starts to lose it. Braulio says that is another reason for him NOT to go in first.Braulio has to remind him it is not the best time to get angry. Brauio asks him to trust him. Juia shows up. Brauilo goes in first.

28. Julia asks if she can talk to Angel for a few minutes. He says no. They have already said all there is to say. He doesn't want to hear her trying to justify . . She cuts him off saying that is his problem. She does not want to talk about the two of them but about Misael.

29. Celeste tells Ester that when she saw her with Jero, they seemed like a couple. Is she sure there was nothing between them? Ester can't believe she is saying that considering all the pain she was going through because of the loss of her son. Did she think she had the time to think about love? Celeste ends ip apologizing but tells Ester that she and Jero had a lot of chemistry going on between them. Ester understands because they always got on very well. They were friends. Now the only space she has in her heart is for Denis.
 

VENCER Part 5

30. Donato apologizes to Jero again. He admits he acted like an imbecile. Jero says he has already forgotten all about it. Jero says when he found out about him and Lenar he also acted like an idiot. Jero says Donato is good man and has been good for Lenar and his sons. Donato did only the best he could. Jero says he did very well. Donato was a father to his sons when she wasn't there. Jero will always be grateful for that. Donato is grateful that he has told all that. Jero also makes it clear that he has no romantic interest his ex-wife. Lenar is the mother of his sons and nothing more. Donato asks if he is sure. Jero says he is really very sure. He admits that he is really in love with Ester but she doesn't feel the same way about him. Donato says it sounds like him and Lenar. Jero asks what he is planning on doing about his situation with Lenar.

31. Julia tells Angel Misael's version of what happened. She adds that whoever from Funes sent Misael to pick up that quantity of money all on his own wasn't very responsible. Angel sees Misael's story to be full of inconsistencies that she doesn't want to see. Julia wants him hear MIsael's version before condemning him. Angel says he is not condemning him, justice will do that. He feels sorry for Julia and even more for Danny. He thinks that Misael is guilty unless it is proved otherwise. Braulio comes out and says that Misael wants to see Julia next.

32. Misael tells Julia that she doesn't have to worry about lawyer. He will take care of that through some friends he met and trusts. She has done a lot for him and he doesn't want her involved anymore because things are going to get ugly. She asks why?? Does he not trust her??? He shakes his head. She asks if Braulio has something to do with it. He explains he is a bootlicker for the Funes. Those people are very dangerous and he doesn't to want to put her or his son at risk. He asks her to pay attention to what he said. She will. He makes her promise that she will stay away to stay safe. She does.

33. After hearing what Braulio has to say, Angel is angry because it is what Julia told him. Braulio can understand his anger but he has to understand that if they prosecute Misael for theft they are going to end up being charged for tax evasion. Angel knows that but their money was stolen. Braulio asks he really wants to be charged with money laundering??? Angel says he knows he is right. . . Braulio knows that it aggravates him. Braulio understands that. Braulio mentions how upset Julia is. He is convinced that she and Misael were always together. Brauliio tells him to let him know when Santino calls him for their meeting. He wants to go with him.

34. Julia and Rodolfo go to talk to Danny about a serious matter. Danny insists that he doesn't want to talk to his mother. Julia says that's not going to work. Rodolfo explains the his mother was with his father for two hours trying to get him out. Danny wants to talk to Angel. He would understand him. They don't.

35. Gina calls Erik. It is like she hasn't seen him in a thousand years. He asks if she misses him. She says sort of. . . She needs a little hug with those huge arms. Only if he wants to . . .He invite her out to breakfast . . and they talk on.

36. The receptionist tells Santino she is leaving for the day and he will be alone in the building. He gets a call from Zac. The lawyer did his job and Misael is free. He wants Misael sent to his office. He will be waiting for him there.

37. Silvano talks to Angel. He has something to tell him that will change his life. Angel is sick of the mystery. Santino says they will meet in an hour at the café across from his office.
 

VENCER Part 6

38. Angel calls Braulio who wonders why Silvano is so mysterious. Angel says that is what he wanted to know, too. He has not a clue. He thinks it is better to go meet by himself with Santino to hear what he has to say. Braulio wants to know where they are meeting at least for security reasons. Angel tells him at the café across from Santino's offices. Brauliio wishes him good luck.

39. Misael calls Julia to tell her he is out of jail. She asks how? He will call her when he can. He hangs up .

40. We are back at the beginning of the episode. After Santino has hit bottom of the shaft, the figure picks up his notebook and pen and walks away.

41. Angel is waiting for Santino. He tells the waiter he is going to leave for a minute to check on the man who was supposed to meet him there. He isn't answering his phone. He says if this older guy with white hair comes in and is looking for him, to tell him he will be right back.

42. Donato is moving out. He loves Lenar and her sons but he loves his dignity more. He tells her to sort through her feelings and then give him a call and they can talk.

43. Jero gets a call from Cinthia who is in a bad way out on the streets. She is high. She asks him to come and help her.

44. Angel goes out of the café where he sees police and an ambulance. He then sees Ana Sofí. She tells him that her father is dead.


BRAULIO: "But in truth, the only sure thing, whether it be desired or averted, is death."

Camino – Capitulo 36 – Part 1 of 5

Back to Dani telling Memo just how disappointed and disillusioned she is in him. She thought he loved her; Memo says he does love her! They relitigate the whole why didn’t you tell me conversation until the argument turns into more declarations of love from Memo as he loses all patience and grabs Dani up into a passionate kiss!

Sebas is understandably upset that he put so much work and effort into creating this project just for Karen and Falso to treat him like a joke! Eugenio doesn’t think he’s a joke though, he likes his idea. Sebas thinks dad is just saying that to make him feel better but Eugenio says he’s being sincere and if Sebas promises to commit to the project and see it through then he will support the project and give it a green light! Sebas points out that Falso says they’ll never get any investors but Eugenio says he’ll take care of that. And, if he can’t get the investors, he’ll fund it with his own money! They will work together as a team, is Sebas willing to do that?

Back to Dani and Memo’s kiss but Dani forces herself to break away, we can’t do this it’s not right! Memo says there’s nothing wrong with listening to your heart but of course there is in this case because Ursa is pregnant and Memo is getting married! Dani sobs as she says she never should have fallen in love with Memo. She doesn’t understand what happens to her when she’s with him – she loses her head. Memo too is sobbing now, as he begs Dani to forgive him for hurting her.

Yolanda calls Grace to let her know that her dad is in the hospital with appendicitis and about to have an operation. It’s serious, he could die. Grace doesn’t care, let him die she tells her mom and hangs up the phone.

Sebas asks his dad why he’s doing this and Eugenio says it’s because he’s never seen Sebas so passionate about anything! Sebas asks what’s the trick and Eugenio assures him there is no trick. He knows that Sebas is angry with him for sending him away to boarding school and for his mother’s death. Eugenio can’t forgive himself either because her death was his fault. Eugenio says he wasn’t a good father, wasn’t affectionate, never spent time with Sebas but it was a mistake. And now they have an opportunity to do something different, do this project together. And who knows? Maybe, just maybe one day Sebas will be able to see and understand just how much Eugenio loves him.

Dani and Memo’s heartbreaking conversation continues and Memo wants to know what he can do to fix this? What does Dani want? Dani takes a deep breath and tells him to take the plants to Claudia’s please, and that’s all for today. Memo says ‘Daniella’ like a plea but Dani can’t take it. She can’t do this; it hurts too much. She thought they could keep working together but she isn’t ready for this. She tells him to forget about everything that happened and he asks her not to say this! He loves her! He loves her more than his life! Don’t say that, Dani begs. He can’t cancel his wedding because Ursa is expecting and Dani wouldn’t forgive him if he did anyway. Memo says that like Dani, life has put him in an impossible situation but he’s going to take responsibility. The only thing he can ask Dani is to please, not keep him away from Isa. Dani breathes deeply and looks long into Memo’s eyes but doesn’t answer and walks away.

Sebas says he as to think about Eugenio’s proposition and Eugenio is crestfallen that he doesn’t get an immediate yes. He says he thought Sebas was passionate about this but Sebas interrupts and says if dad is going to start pressuring him…Eugenio relents and says Sebas is right. Think about it, and when you have your answer, I’ll be here to listen.

 

Camino – Capitulo 36 – Part 2 of 5

Sebas walks out into the hallway and Gaby immediately asks him a bunch of questions about how the presentation went. Sebas says his sister and Falso are the worst! Gaby asks what his dad said but Sebas doesn’t want to talk about it. Instead, he asks what is going on between Gaby and JuanPa? And don’t say nothing because it’s obvious. Also, remember I was the one to help you reconcile last time! Gaby says of course she remembers, but she doesn’t want to talk about it. She’d rather think about work. What, is she going to become a work-a-holic? Sebas asks. Gaby says maybe, she’s just starting to realize that maybe JuanPa isn’t worth it.

Memo arrives home looking for a fight and he gets what he wants when he realizes Ursa is in his home. ‘Why are you in my house when I’m not here?’ he demands. (Dude, you’re marrying her in a matter of days, you might want to get used to that) Ursa says he gave her the keys. Memo says he’s really mad at her and he’s tried to give himself time to calm down and not say something he regrets but he needs to know, why? Ursa snaps back that Dani told him didn’t she, but Memo says he found out through another person. How could Ursa do that to him? She knows how important Isa is to him!! How could she go to Falso? They found out from you!!

Dani comes home and Chuchita says it’s clear she’s been crying. Is it for Memo? Chuchita lets her know that she found out that Memo is Isa’s biological father. But Dani should be happy because Memo is a good person and he won’t do anything to harm her. Dani admits that at first, she was upset but now she feels very grateful that Isa’s biological father is such a wonderful person. So why are you crying, Chuchita wants to know. No more questions, Dani says. I’ll be in my room. She doesn’t want anything; she wants to be alone!

Ursa tries to play innocent. She claims that she was only trying to help but Memo isn’t buying that. Ursa didn’t go to just anyone, she went to the person who hates him most! The person who would jump at the chance to accuse him of something. She told a truth that wasn’t hers to tell! Why? Who does she think she is? Ursa yells back that she is that woman who loves him, the one capable of doing anything for him!! Capable of fighting against anyone and anything for him and their child!

Chuchita goes again to check on Dani. Is she sure she doesn’t want some tea? Dani says no and Chuchita says it breaks her heart to see her like this. Is she sure she doesn’t want to talk? Chuchita is a good listener and it isn’t good to bottle up your pain. Dani says she needs time. She isn’t ready to tell Chuchita and it’s not because of a lack of trust, she knows that she loves her a lot, she just isn’t ready to talk about it. (Because why talk to a good person when you can talk to a bad person, like Karen) Chuchita leaves and Dani remembers Memo telling her that he loves her. Why can’t she get him out of her heart?

Ursa finally admits she did it because she was jealous! Memo wanted to cancel the wedding and she was desperate. She isn’t stupid, she sees the way Dani looks at Memo and Memo too feels something for Dani, she knows it. Admit it! If Memo wants honesty so bad, why not start there? Why not have the guts to just admit that Ursa had good reason to be jealous? ‘You’re right,’ Memo finally admits. ‘All of this is my fault. Daniella and I kissed.’ Ursa’s face shows the impact of having her suspicions confirmed.


 

Camino – Capitulo 36 – Part 3 of 5

Dani grabs a family photo and flashesback to Falso’s lies about not wanting to lose her or his family. She cries asking him to forgive her. She wouldn’t bother though if she could see him now. In his office, making out with Karen as usual. They whisper sweet nothings to each other and Karen wants to meet at their hotel but Falso says he can’t. He needs to keep his eye on Dani, he can’t leave her alone at a time like this. Karen is not pleased and texts Dani a question that gets an immediate response. We’re having dinner at your house, Karen informs Falso. A couple’s dinner, I’m bringing Aaron! She stalks off.

Ursa goes off about the kiss as if she hasn’t been sleeping with Ceasar for weeks. Memo tries to explain that he never meant for this to happen. He swears his only intent was to get to know his daughter but Dani took him by surprise and no matter how much he tried to avoid it she got to his heart. He swears that nothing has happened between them – well other than the kiss of course. Ursa doesn’t want to hear it! He’s breaking her heart! Memo says forgive me, I know this is hard but I wanted you to know the truth before we got married. In case you want to make another decision. No way! Ursa is willing to forgive him if he forgives her!! They can go forward with the wedding!

Karen asks Aaron to be her date to the couple’s dinner at Falso’s and when he asks how he can know she’s serious and not just playing with him; Karen takes advantage of the opportunity to announce to Eugenio, who happened to be walking by, that she and Aaron are dating!

Ursa gives the hard sell – you forgive me, I’ll forgive you! Just tell me, are we going to stay together? Memo hesitates but agrees for the sake of the affection that still exists between them and the baby they are expecting. He thinks they can make it work. Ursa is thrilled but Memo can’t even bring himself to return her kiss. Ursa pretends not to notice and tells Memo she loves her wedding dress! She’s so happy they decided to have Chuchita make it. She asks Memo to swear to her that he is going to forget about Dani! She says she’s never been unfaithful to him (LMAO), Memo goes to stalk off instead of answering and opens the door to the proof that Ursa is a LIAR! Ceasar has come to inform them of Mac’s hospitalization. They rush off to see him.

Aaron says some BS about having the best of intentions and Eugenio is accepting. He’s surprised but he’s happy that his daughter is taking the opportunity to be happy. Falso arrives and wants to know what’s up and Eugenio gives him the ‘good’ news that Karen and Aaron are now novios! Isn’t that wonderful? Before Falso can’t answer, Gaby rushes over and tells them she needs to leave because she just found out her father is in the hospital. Falso tries to be a jerk about it of course, but Eugenio tells her to go. When she does, Falso says it’s probably just an excuse, do you really believe her? Eugenio says of course! You don’t joke about the health of your family! Aaron already brown nosing, says that’s right Don Eugenio! Family is sacred! He hugs Karen close.

The whole family is waiting in the hospital hall except Chema who is being watched by someone Amparo called on the phone. Sebas is there too, and everyone is anxious to hear Mac is okay, well everyone except Leo who is still understandably salty towards his brother-in-law. The doctor arrives and lets them know, the surgery was a success and Mac is recovering. The family celebrates!

Chema is with Nelida, he eats and they chat. Chema tells her he can’t wait to tell mom that it got the best grades in class and he also won a math competition. She tells him that’s great and he needs to keep studying!

 

Camino – Capitulo 36 – Part 4 of 5

Eugenio stares at his phone and thinks about calling Amparo but he can’t because Falso comes in to complain that Eugenio would let his daughter date and nobody like Aaron! Eugenio says he doesn’t have Falso’s stupid prejudices and as long as his daughter is happy and in love it’s fine by him! Besides it’s been so long and he doesn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to be a grandpa. Falso says if you’re okay with this then I guess we have nothing to talk about. He starts to leave but Eugenio calls him back. Eugenio lists off Aaron’s supposed good qualities and says this isn’t his opinion, they are the words Falso used when he had him hired as his assistant. Has something changed? Falso denies this. It’s just that despite his horrible relationship with Karen, deep down he cares about her and he thought she would date someone on her level. That’s all, just forget about it.

Falso comes home to find a cat on his bed and he is NOT pleased. He starts yelling like the jerk he is for someone to come get this cat out of his house NOW! Isa comes bounding in saying it’s her new pet and she and Chuchita found it that day! Please, can she keep it? No, Falso doesn’t want any pets in his house. Okay, Isa says, I’ll get rid of it just promise me one thing, Isa pleads. Anything you want, Falso quickly agrees. Is that a promise from father to daughter? Isa asks. Falso then confirms it’s a promise. Isa pounces and says take me to Memo’s wedding! Falso proves his promises are good for nothing just like him, by immediately saying the cat goes and you are not going to that wedding!! Chuchita comes in because Falso had bellowed for her several times and Falso orders her to get rid of the cat and leaves. Isa is disappointed her plan didn’t work; it always works for Sophie! Time to take the cat back to the neighbor.

Yolanda stops to ask the nurse for information about the status of Mac and is thrilled to learn he’s in recovery, Cesar walks in and hears her question and appears to have enough sense to be intrigued/suspicious of the lady asking for Mac.

JuanPa on the other hand doesn’t have any sense and he is still determined to forget about Gaby. Chuchita tells him about Mac being in the hospital and having surgery. Gaby needs you, Chuchita tells him earnestly. This appears to give JuanPa some pause.

Karen has a fashion emergency! The red dress or the black? She wants to capture Falso’s…um, I mean Aaron’s attention and hopes this is the start of a serious relationship. Dani can’t concentrate on this oh so important question though, because she’s dying to tell Karen about the latest kiss between her and Memo! Karen is thrilled and figures this means it’s back to Dani’s plan to leave Falso and live happily ever after with Memo but Dani shatters that illusion! Memo is going to marry Ursula, who is expecting his baby! And Dani can’t stand in the way of that. She doesn’t know how she could allow this to happen! How could she kiss him? She isn’t the kind of woman to kiss another woman’s man, she swears she isn’t!

Mac the Rat is alert and still in pain! Gaby is back to being team dad and Lupita is back to being unamused by daddy’s exaggerations. As the patio predicted, Mac is already milking this for all it’s worth! Sigh

Yolanda is still at the hospital and is determined to stay until she is able to see Mac. She just needs to wait until everyone leaves, so she can go in to see him. She’s telling all this to Grace who doesn’t care one little bit and thinks mom should stop wasting her time and come home. We do see Grace has a client in the apartment getting her nails done so I guess they run a nail salon from their apartment?

 

Camino – Capitulo 36 – Part 5 of 5

More of the same song of Dani trying to convince herself that her feelings for Memo are a mistake and Karen trying to convince Dani she needs to leave her unhappy marriage and be happy with Memo. Dani thinks she can’t take Memo from his future child but Karen says look at how Memo does everything to be with Isa! He’ll do the same for the new baby, just because he's not with Ursa doesn’t mean he’ll abandon the baby! Dani counters with what about the pain she’d cause Ursa? She can’t do that to her! This love is a love that will only cause pain to everyone else, it can’t be right! Karen says this is the first time Dani’s ever truly been in love and she never felt for Falso what she feels for Memo, Dani admits it’s true but it changes nothing. She has to focus on Isa, she has to do what’s best for her! So for Isa she’s going to try to save her marriage, Karen tries but fails to keep from rolling her eyes – or maybe that was me rolling mine…hmm

Amparo apologizes for thinking Mac was lying. Mac replies with ‘yeah how lucky was I?’ LOL But he immediately recognizes his mistake and says he means he was lucky it all worked out and he’s okay now. Amparo and Lupita leave and Gaby stays to be with Dad. Mac looks over and sees Gaby smiling and asks what the smile is about. Turns out, JuanPa texted to ask how Mac was doing. Gaby isn’t sure she wants to answer after everything he’s done but Mac tells her not to be resentful like her mother! Gaby defends mom and says that’s how women are, when you hurt us, we can’t just forgive so easily! Mac says but you love him, right? Gaby’s smile says it all and Mac warns her not to be too difficult, men get tired of putting up with that! (Ugh!!!) Gaby asks if he’s tired of mom and Mac says no, never!

JuanPa is now nervous because Gaby is the one not answering his messages! LOL. Chuchita gives him another talking to. He treated Gaby horribly and accused her of something she didn’t do it’s normal that she’d be upset. JuanPa wishes he could believe that, and Chuchita says she overheard Gaby and Lupita talking and it was obvious they didn’t know anything about Isa! JuanPa says she just wanted to be with me to get closer to Isa but Chucha tells him not to think so little of himself! He’s a good guy, very handsome, snazzy dresser; any woman would want to be with a guy like him! Besides Gaby is in love with who he is, doesn’t he realize that? Chucha shoos him out of the kitchen and tells him to go reconcile with Gaby.

I am tired of Karen; do I really have to listen to more of this?? She’s now calling Dani a coward for not following her heart…blah blah leave Falso and go be with Memo! Blah blah. Dani thinks Karen should support her decisions and Karen says she isn’t that type of friend, she cares about Dani and she’s going to tell her what she really thinks! Dani repeats that what’s best for her and her family is to save her marriage! She kisses Karen on the cheek and says I’ll see you tonight!

Jarifa, your ability to synthesize the action and dialog so splendidly is amazing.

Second thoughts and second chances seemed to permeate tonight’s story.

Despite “now the only space she has in her heart is for Denis”, Ester may be ruing her decision to keep her heart closed to Jero. Lenar may want or think she wants another opportunity with Jero, but he does not. All she has done is driven away Donato who has been steadfastly by her side for years (as he noted he still does have his dignity intact). Oh, and also driven Jero to Flavia who I’m sure is preening away and can’t wait to rub it in Ester’s face.

Most seem out for Misael’s blood and I sense things will go from bad to worse from here on out. Braulio continues to turn everything around so that he is always the injured party; when will Celeste wake up?? Cinthia is in trouble and Silvano has passed onto whatever the next life holds for him. Who is the murderer??

Jarifa, this was exceptional and yes, there is very little (if anything) NOT to love here, thank you!

Darcy, your wry wit perfectly vanquished tonight’s seemingly endless crying and mewling. You lightened a vast amount of emotional turmoil, bestowing the gifts of laughter and wisdom for us to soak up and savor.

“Why are you in my house when I’m not here?’ he demands. (Dude, you’re marrying her in a matter of days, you might want to get used to that)” was wonderful. “…he just isn’t ready to talk about it. (Because why talk to a good person when you can talk to a bad person, like Karen)” 😊 HA! And I must add “everyone is anxious to hear Mac is okay, well everyone except Leo who is still understandably salty towards his brother-in-law” to my list of pared down favorites.

The bottom line is that while Memo desperately wants to follow his heart, he is a man of principle and when faced with a moral crisis, will always do the right thing. “Memo says there’s nothing wrong with listening to your heart but of course there is in this case because Ursa is pregnant and Memo is getting married!” Yes, there is THAT as you smartly noted. He also had the courage to tell Ursula that “all of this is my fault. Daniella and I kissed.” As you stated “Ursa’s face shows the impact of having her suspicions confirmed”. I always feel it’s best not to ask the question if you don’t want to hear the answer.

Similarly, Dani knows and expects Memo to do “the right thing.” She is also suffering and self-sacrificing but for her, that is the only option.

I thoroughly enjoyed Aaron and Karen putting on a show for Fausto’s benefit. I was a bit surprised at his anger and the shattered glass which shows how poorly he reacts when things don’t go his way. So, now that he is coming close to saying Isa will never go to Memo’s wedding, does that mean we will see her in the front row when the big day comes? 😊

So Macario will soon be good as new, which as we know means as bad as ever. I laughed at “Grace doesn’t care, let him die”. No sympathy from her! And Cesar seeing Yolanda at the front desk raised his suspicions. That might be an important detail later.

Can’t wait to read the second part Darcy. This was marvelous!! Thank you.

Jarifa, I second your WOW! An amazing episode, as was your recap!

It seems that Silvano doesn’t have the money, Angel doesn’t and I don’t think Misael has it. But Braulio has two bank accounts and is buying a house. If he’s the guilty one he would have to have had some goons working for him. I just don’t trust him at all. His wanting to talk to Misael in the jail, and also wanting to talk to Silvano, makes him my number one suspect. Also wanting to know where Angel was meeting Silvano.

Silvano actually seemed almost decent in this episode. He’s looking for his money, and when he never heard back from Angel after the lawsuit, then saw Braulio had signed the paper! I wonder if he had figured out what was going on! Criminal minds think alike!

Flavia was at her worst! What an awful woman! I hope Danny doesn’t remember mentioning his dad to her. But he needs to know who turned his dad in. It would be funny if she started turning in the women who knew he was around! And poor Jero. I don’t think he knows what he’s getting into.

I have a feeling Ester will be a big help in solving this. She’s in the office and on the computer. And she’ll be smart enough to go to Angel, not Braulio.

Camino – Capitulo 37 – Part 1 of 5

Dani is putting Isa to bed and Isa once again begs to go to the wedding. Dani tells her that dad said no and Isa counters with then take me yourself. Dani reminds Isa that she already told her she can’t, but Isa doesn’t understand. Memo is Dani’s friend too, why can’t she go? A distraught Dani tries to hold back tears as she begs Isa not to insist anymore. It’s late, she tells her daughter, get in bed. Isa lays down to sleep and Dani lets the tears fall silently.
Mac is being ratty, big surprise there. Gaby is trying to leave; she’s been there all afternoon and it’s time to go but Mac is trying to emotionally blackmail her into staying because the nurses won’t take care of him with as much affection as Gaby would. Gaby doesn’t get trapped by daddy’s manipulation luckily, but before she can make her escape; Mac gets in one more manipulation telling Gaby he won’t be able to rest easy unless she tells him she’s no longer mad at him. Gaby tells him he’s her father and she’s always going to love him! She finally gets out the door.

Dinner has started and Falso asks Dani if she wants some wine, she declines. Aaron says it’s a great wine and an all-smiles Karen says she loves it! Falso says it’s an expensive wine and Aaron must be investing in his future (LOL). Aaron makes a toast to his new wonderful relationship with Karen and when she notices Falso hasn’t toasted she asks if he’s going to. Falso picks up a glass to clink but grips it a little too hard and it shatters in his hand, leaving him bleeding. Dani takes Falso to clean up and Karen and Aaron toast again and sip their wine.

Yolanda can finally visit Mac and she comes in all kisses and affection but they are back to arguing in a hot minute because Mac’s immediate reaction is worry that she could be seen by his family. Back and forth they go between affectionate words of love to recriminations. What if you had died? Yo asks, I couldn’t even go to your funeral! Yolanda thinks Amparo is a witch who will never love Mac they way she does. Why can’t you just leave her? She asks. Mac says he can’t leave Amparo because the lands are in her name and they are worth millions. He has to find a way back into Amparo’s good graces and find a way to get that money. Then he and Yo can start a new life together. They start making out.

JuanPa goes to see Memo. He actually came to see Gaby but he was told she was at the hospital with her dad. Memo says that’s how Gaby is, ever since she was a child she’s been the nurse for all the household. Memo says Gaby is worth her weight in gold and JuanPa says he knows. He recognizes that he made a mistake with Gaby but he isn’t there to talk about that. He came to talk about Isa. JuanPa asks Memo to not hurt his family and Memo says that’s the last thing he wants to do! He swears he has no intention to hurt Isa or Dani. JuanPa says imagine how weird this situation would be for Isa and Memo recognizes it would be but promises he’d always be there for her.

Amparo and Cesar are having a friendly chat (this is new) all about the preparations for the wedding and the party afterwards. Amparo states she and Leo are happily doing it all for their dear brother. Cesar comments that it makes him very happy to know they all love Ursa like a sister! Amparo’s face says this is a maybe at best, but she gives a vague acknowledgement to Cesar and then lights up fully saying how much she’s looking forward to being an aunt!! Cara de impactada for Cesar who had no idea Ursa was preggers.

 

Camino – Capitulo 37 – Part 2 of 5

Falso says something stupid like he would have cut his hand sooner if he’d known it would get all Dani’s attention on him, as Dani bandages his hand. This probably could have sounded sweet coming from a different man but it sounds creepy out of Falso’s mouth and even Chuchita looks uncomfortable. Dani looks devastated as Falso says this reminds him of one of the reasons he fell in love with her. Falso goes back to the guests and Chuchita looks to Dani with the same concern she’s been wearing for days. Dani still isn’t wise enough to confide in a real friend and she immediately gets up and tries to start helping with dinner. Chuchita says everything is under control go back to your guests.

Amparo and Cesar continue to chat and she tells him how excited she is. At first, she and Ursa didn’t get along too well but now they are good. Cesar wonders why they didn’t get along in the beginning and Amparo says when Ursa first showed up looking for help from Mac, she had a bad feeling about her. Cesar wants to know why and Amparo says she just had the feeling like she was running away from something, like maybe she had been involved in some serious stuff. Amparo watched her like a hawk for awhile but nothing happened and now all is good. Cesar tells Amparo that maybe her feelings weren’t as far off as Amparo thinks, Ursa has her past! Shocked Amparo asks, like what? Is there something my brother should know before he marries her?

Memo says that he’s very glad JuanPa has decided to stay and wait for Gaby. Gaby is a good girl and as Memo has explained to him, Gaby had no idea that Isa was Memo’s daughter. JuanPa says he believes Memo and he appreciates him explaining to him although he had decided to try to patch things up with Gaby even before he talked to Memo. He messed up with Gaby. Memo says he understands, the news was earth shaking, it’s understandable that it would throw JuanPa for a loop. JuanPa goes to leave and Ursa walks in passing him on his way out. She wonders what JuanPa was doing there and Memo says he now knows about Isa, and he’s her uncle. He worries about her naturally and wanted to come and talk things out. Ursa says this is good news and Memo asks how things went at work. Ursa says it went really well and the shop is very busy. Oh, by the way, when do I need to close and for how long? She asks. Close? Memo is confused. For the honeymoon of course, silly! Memo is embarrassed but he hadn’t even thought about that. Ursa says she caught him and Leo talking that one time and he claimed they were discussing the honeymoon. Memo admits that he and Leo were discussing Isa and he just didn’t want to tell her at that time. Memo carefully admits that he doesn’t feel like going on vacation right now. With everything up in the air over Isa, it doesn’t feel like the right time to leave. Ursa immediately agrees they can postpone the honeymoon for later! Memo is shocked she is so agreeable and Ursa tells him that she is committed to starting over and making things work like she said the other day. Memo says he feels hopeful that they can do just that but he still can’t bring himself to return her kisses.

JuanPa meets up with Chema in the passageway and Chema asks why Isa didn’t come with him. JuanPa says Isa has school tomorrow, don’t you? Chema admits he does but he isn’t sleepy. JuanPa advises him that when that happens, he should turn off all the lights, lie down in bed, close his eyes, and count sheep. They practice the pretend count and both laugh.

Amparo tells Cesar to spell it out or she will imagine the worst, but Cesar laughs and says it was just a joke! He’s there to support his cousin and nothing else. He’s so happy she’s happy and living an honest life. Wait, what does that mean? Was her life not honest before? Well, she IS the niece of Mac, Cesar replies. (LOL) He then gets up leaving money for the bill and tip on the table leaving Amparo to wonder about this odd conversation.

 

Camino – Capitulo 37 – Part 3 of 5

Gaby arrives and Amparo asks how dad is doing. They are over by the counter where Lupita is working too. Gaby says dad is resting and recouping but he is sad. He really misses Lupita and mom too. Before they can respond to this, Lupita looks up and notices JuanPa has entered the restaurant. She calls her sister’s attention to his arrival. Gaby asks what JuanPa is doing there and he says he came to talk to her, can he?

Back to the dinner no one wants to be invited to (except Aaron) and Aaron is saying something about the lasagna tasting like it’s straight out of Italy. Falso says Aaron has never been to Italy and maybe he should go some day so he’ll know what he’s talking about! LOL Karen looks over and notices Dani isn’t looking too good. She asks her if she’s feeling okay and says she looks pale. Dani admits she’s feeling a little dizzy. Karen gets up to accompany Dani to her room and Chuchita follows. Aaron makes a snide comment about Karen taking care of him when they are married.

More of Yolanda and Mac scheming. Mac has told her all about the land deal and she tells him he did very well in trying to secure that deal but he shouldn’t settle for just the commission! He deserves it all! Mac says he’s going to find a way to resurrect the land deal and Yolanda says he can count on her to help him in any way she can. Mac says to just be patient and when he has all the money, he’ll send his witch to fly off on her broom and they will live happily ever after like kings! They try to get cozy again but Yolanda touches the wrong spot and sends pain shooting through Mac. (GOOD!)

Amparo finds Chema still awake and asks what is up? Chema is just not tired. He tried to count sheep like JuanPa said but it didn’t work. Chema wants to see dad and Amparo has to tell him that daddy is in the hospital because he had an operation. Chema wants to go immediately to the hospital but Amparo tells him children are not allowed. He will have to wait until daddy is recovered which will be soon. They decide to pray for Mac together, and they get down on their knees beside the bed.

Gaby and JuanPa talk in the passageway and he admits that he took on a fight that wasn’t his. He let himself get all upset over the words of Falso and he offended Gaby. He swears he’s been thinking a lot about Gaby and he feels awful. Will she forgive him?

Dani is being tortured by her ‘best’ friend Karen and she tells her that she won’t feel better until she tells Falso the truth! What is plaguing Dani isn’t a physical illness it’s an illness of the soul and she isn’t going to feel better until she comes clean. Karen tries to dissuade her and tell her to wait and they will talk tomorrow but Dani says nothing will be different tomorrow, she has to tell Falso the truth! The devil himself walks in just in time to hear this statement and ask what truth she is talking about!

(HAHAHA!!! Oh, how you make me laugh Gaby!) JuanPa wants to know if Gaby is going to forgive him and she says she’s doesn’t know, she’s very hurt. JuanPa says it hurt when she didn’t trust him so he knows exactly how she feels. What does he have to do to get her to forgive him? He’ll do anything! Anything? Gaby asks. Anything, JuanPa confirms. Well then, Gaby would like a diamond necklace! Or some other proof of his love… like he could take off all his clothes and run out into the street and scream to the whole world how much he loves her!! (hehe) All my clothes? JuanPa asks. Like God brought you into the world, Gaby confirms. JuanPa is looking more than a little nervous but he starts to undress. Gaby laughs and says she is just kidding and of course she forgives him!! They kiss and make up but Gaby pulls away and says she wants that diamond necklace for her birthday! And the diamonds need to be this big – she demonstrates holding her fingers apart. They laugh and kiss some more.

Karen tries to cover for Dani but Falso isn’t convinced. Karen says they were talking about telling Isa the truth about Memo being her father and this Falso buys but says NEVER! That’s a decision we must make together and I’ll never agree to it. Falso stalks off and Dani tries to go after him but Karen stops her. She tells Dani to control herself and not complicate things any more than they already are. Falso can never know you’re in love with the man he most hates, don’t you dare tell him!

Memo and Dani meet up and Memo falls all over himself trying to get the words out, he beats around and around the bush but Dani tells him he doesn’t have to explain. She knows why he is marrying Ursa. Memo says tomorrow he is going to marry Ursa, that’s a fact; but that’s not what he came to tell Dani. He doesn’t know if this is the right thing to say, but he’s just trying to do the right thing for everyone. And finally, he spits it out, he thinks it’s best for everyone if he and Dani no longer work together! (The word duh comes to mind)
Cesar goes to wish Ursa a good morning, well not quite. He comes demanding to know if the baby she’s expecting is his.

Yolanda is sleeping at Mac’s bedside and his phone rings, it’s Amparo. She decides to answer and when Amparo asks who is this, Yolanda just says, who did you want to talk to?? Amparo asks who she is and why she’s answering her husband’s cell! Yolanda doesn’t answer right away and we see Mac is waking up.

Memo swears to Dani his intention in coming to her house was to get to know Isa but he fell completely and totally in love with her. He promises that if Ursa wasn’t pregnant, he’d leave everything and fight for the love that they both feel, but he can’t. He never meant to hurt anyone and now he realizes that the person he is most hurting is Dani. He thinks it’s best if they stop seeing each other, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to just forget about Isabella, that will never happen. Memo says that Dani was always right, it’s best to put distance between them. Memo offers to help Dani find a new assistant but Dani says it isn’t necessary. Memo’s only request is that Dani still allows him to see Isa, and Dani says Isa is their (hers & Falso’s) daughter but Memo too is her father. It’s not right for them to keep her from him. Memo will always have Dani’s support in allowing Isa to be close to him! Memo is very grateful and no one mentions how Falso will never agree to any of this.

Cesar and Ursa argue over the parentage of the non-existent baby and Ursa insists that it’s Memo’s. She says that a woman just knows!! And she knows this baby is Memo’s! This is totally BS in general of course, but I suppose if you are making up a pregnancy it is possible to know for sure who the fake father is. Ursa swears she is going to get Cesar his money but Cesar says the game has changed. Go pack your bags, because we are going to Tiajuana! He tells Ursa that knowing the woman he’s still in love with, the woman who is still his wife is pregnant with his child?? Well, that is worth everything!

Yolanda claims to be the nurse that is taking care of Mac! LOL She says she answered because Mac had a bad night and they even had to sedate him so he could sleep! Oh look, he’s just now opening his eyes, do you want to talk to him? Amparo says no, she’s on her way. She thanks the nurse for taking such good care of him! (geez) Yolanda hangs up and tells Mac that Amparo is coming and Mac tells her to get lost then.

 

Camino – Capitulo 37 – Part 5 of 5

Memo thanks Dani for understanding. The love he feels for her is too strong and he doesn’t think he can see her as just his boss. Dani agrees that she isn’t able to view him as just an assistant either. They need to distance themselves and perhaps in time they can see each other as just friends although Dani can’t imagine that. Dani has to do what’s right though, and protect Isa. Memo too wants to make sure Isa doesn’t get hurt and Dani says the time will come to tell Isa the truth but honestly, she doesn’t know how soon that will be because they need to talk to Falso and the three of them need to come into agreement. Memo says she is right. There’s a pause and then Memo says: ‘Tomorrow I get married’, I know, Dani replies and they both cry. Dani wishes Memo the best with all her heart and tells Memo to concentrate on the baby that’s on the way, he’s very fortunate to have a father like you! And, Isa is too. A crying Dani retreats to her van and leaves Memo sobbing on his thinking wall.

Mac and Amparo talk about Memo’s wedding tomorrow and Amparo’s doubts. Mac tries to change the subject to Amparo changing her mind and reconciling with him but Amparo says there’s nothing to think about there. She changes the subject back to Ursa and tells Mac that Cesar said somethings last night to make her think. He claimed Ursa hasn’t always been honest! Mac plays dumb.

Cesar and Ursa continue to fight and Ursa says she’ll never go back to him! How can he think she would after all the money he’s demanded from her! He says that was his plan, to demand a sum of money she could never get and allow her time to realize her place is with him! He always intended to win her back. Ursa throws every no and excuse and protest out that she can, but Cesar keeps appealing to her and getting closer and closer and kissing on her until passion takes over and Ursa can’t fight anymore. She finally admits it's a lie! She isn’t pregnant, she made up the baby because Memo wanted to cancel the wedding!! She swears she isn’t pregnant by him or by Memo. Cesar knows her very well he knows she’s telling the truth. Cesar is shocked but then kind of laughs and says that’s why he loves her, she’s crazy! He tells Ursa either she goes to Tijuana with him tonight, or tomorrow he'll show up at the church with their marriage certificate!!

Mac tries to convince Amparo that Cesar is not to be trusted. Ursa may have traveled down the wrong road a bit as a young girl but she’s a good woman. Amparo admits that she too has come to believe that Ursa is a good woman and when Mac swears that Ursa hasn’t done anything seriously bad that he knows of, Amparo is relieved and says she feels much better about the wedding tomorrow. Mac hopes this means Amparo still loves him but Amparo tells him not to get his hopes up. She will take care of him until he recovers but as soon as he is feeling better, he’s packing his bags again and leaving the house!!!

Aaron comes and brings Karen her morning tea just the way she likes it and she’s very impressed to learn he’s been keeping track of the things she likes. Oh, you like? Aaron asks and Karen responds with very much. He gives her a kiss that turns into kisses and just as the kisses start to deepen, Falso walks in and voices his displeasure by saying ‘this is the workplace, not a cheap hotel!’ Both Karen and Aaron look more amused than chastised.

Jarifa, you delivered a super recap. It reads like a murder mystery novel. I thought Santino was the BIG BAD and never expected him to be taken out.

I too have Braulio at the top of the suspect list. Such a shame that Angel, and before him Homero, trusts this man.

Misael is no boy scout, but I don't think he knows the depth of what he's mixed up in.

I see Ana Sofi leaning on Angel even more now in her grief.

How many hours/days will it take for Jero to realize he's making a mistake with Flavia?

In three words: A total disappointment.

The killers were BRUNO and DONATO? Esteban was forgiven for EVERYTHING and Marcia MARRIED HIM AGAIN?

I always thought Inés was the murderer. It just fit nicely and would have been a huge surprise.

Speaking of huge surprises, I just saw that Rafael's parents are LUCRECIA AND BRUNO???! WHAT? At first I thought they were Esteban and Rebecca, then I thought Inés and Bruno would fit.

Also, Marcia forgiving Esteban; huge disappointment and wrong message.

Camino - Capitulo 36 and 37

Thanks, Darcy. I haven't watched the episodes yet, but I can picture everything through your vivid recaps. Loved your tart commentary and truths about these characters. Yep, Dani would rather confide in her snake friend Karen than kind Chuchita.

There were surprises for me. I never expected Falso to find a cat on his bed! I hope that cat keeps returning.

I never expected Cesar to spot/notice Yolanda or tell stuff to Amparo that raised her suspicions about Ursa.

Dani is losing it. Does she not realize how much more Falso will keep Isa away from Memo if he knows Dani loves Memo?

I continue to have mixed feelings about Karen. I love her sticking it to Falso with Aaron.

I was expecting Lucrezia and/or Florencia to have been the killer(s) which would still have been different from the previous version, but they were too obvious in their sick obsessions with Esteban. Both were certifiably insane. Lucrezia didn't even love her own son.

Of course Marcia should not have forgiven anyone, including Esteban. He was too much under the influence of the others and learned too late that he needed to be honest with his children. His two kids were much too whiny and Lucia much too spoiled. This made him a completely inadequate father.

Not fond of the "comic relief" of Santino's bro and his bestie; it really had no place here.

Darcy, all I can say is "WOW!" Two episodes and you captured everything vividly and your sides were sublime! Thank you!!

To add to the ones Diana has already pointed out, I especially liked: Falso says something stupid like he would have cut his hand sooner if he’d known it would get all Dani’s attention on him, as Dani bandages his hand. This probably could have sounded sweet coming from a different man but it sounds creepy out of Falso’s mouth and even Chuchita looks uncomfortable. AND And finally, he spits it out, he thinks it’s best for everyone if he and Dani no longer work together! (The word duh comes to mind)

And I laughed when you wrote "Mac plays dumb." He does that very well and very often!

I enjoyed--

* Gaby and JunaPa reconciling YAY!
* Eugenio supporting Sebas
* Fausto finding the cat on his bed (but not that he was an a$$ about it...though not surprised)
* Cesar spotting Yo asking about Mac. I was really hoping he would walk in on them!
* Amparo sticking to her guns and telling Mac he would have to leave once he recovers.
* Memo yelling at Ursula (though he later calmed down...boohoo!)
* Cesar threatening Ursula and wanting to take her away. Please do!
* Karen's payback with Aaron.
* Fausto cutting himself. I was surprised to see red blood...vs. black slush!

Things I frowned upon--

* Everything Fausto! LOL
* Everything Ursula! LOL
* Mac and Yo conspiring against Amparo. She keeps calling Amparo "bruja/witch" and Mac refers to Amparo as "brujer" (a combination of bruja and mujer). So now I have no doubts that Mac doesn't love/has never loved Amparo. He's with her for what he can get--her money and land.
* Dani wanting to tell Fausto the truth about her feelings. So glad Karen talked her out of it! (at least for now)
* Sebas turning down his dad's offer for support. He was so excited about his proposal and now he's procrastinating???

That's all I can remember..and have time for now. If I think of anyting else, I shall return.

Darcy, MIL GRACIAS for taking on the double episode; you did it like a pro! My hat's off to you!

Darcy, your second chapter was as fascinating and excellent as the first. Your insight into the characters’ mindsets and motivations is exceptional. Pure perfection.

“Mac is being ratty, big surprise there” made me laugh out loud.

Aaron and Karen are my new favorite couple. Somehow they are in synch and their unspoken alliance is already getting under Fausto’s skin. The mere idea of them together already caused him to cut his hand in anger and frustration. Watching them “just as the kisses start to deepen” will surely send him into orbit. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

I also enjoyed Cesar dropping breadcrumbs for Amparo, alluding to Ursula’s past. He is giving Ursu no options so unless she agrees to go away with him, I’ve no doubt he will crash the wedding.

If the situation with Isabel wasn’t explosive enough in and of itself, Dani and Memo had to contend with giving their love up for the “non-existent baby”. They continue to deny their love and bemoan that they have no future together. And that is how it will remain, Dani inconsolable and “Memo sobbing on his thinking wall” until the wedding ceremony commences.

I am alarmed along with everyone else that Dani is considering telling Fausto about her feelings for Memo. Unfortunately, Dani is obsessed with what she perceives as her “unforgiveable sins” and will be self-flagellating throughout eternity if she doesn’t confess.

“Chuchita looks to Dani with the same concern she’s been wearing for days” touchingly conveyed the kindness she has been trying to give Dani.

Rgv Chick, I wanted to cut and paste your entire comment which was beyond clever and a joy to read. I especially loved “Things I frowned upon--

Niecie, I agree with you about Karen. Karen is a horrible person but she's very entertaining. I've decided I just like the actress. I don't think I'm seen her in anything before, she's a scene stealer! I would love to see her playing a not horrible person!

Rgv Chick, Mac is horrible and I'm not defending him at all but I'm not sure his words mean anything. Telling people what they want to hear is pretty much his bread and butter. Yo wants to believe Amparo is a witch so Mac calls her a witch when he's with Yo. It could be what he truly thinks and feels but I wouldn't bet money on it. I also wouldn't bet that Mac would truly want to live happily ever after with Yo when/if he got the money. He's been stringing her along for many many years and this is more of the same.

Diana, I totally agree with you about Karen and Aaron, this is a surprisingly fun pairing! Both of these actors have a lot more charisma than they've been able to show thus far in the show and they have great chemistry together! I like the way they aren't afraid to stick it to Falso - even though Aaron knows his dark side and Karen claims she's in love with him. I have to keep reminding myself they are not good people because they are fun to watch!

I’m also enjoying Karen and Aaron together. Although they’re both criminal Fausto is so much worse!

Gaby and JuanPa making up was cute. And hopefully he’ll realize what Fausto did to destroy his relationship with Gaby.

Mac can be very confusing. My first thoughts were he’s just using Yolanda. Especially since he lives with Amparo and loves his kids. He doesn’t seem to have any feelings for Grace. But when he talked about getting the money and going away with Yolanda I began to wonder what his true feelings were. He did tell Amparo pretty much the same thing when he got caught as the reason the restaurant was closed.

Loved when Caesar made the comment, Well, she is the niece of Mac. I hope Amparo thinks on that comment!

Also was great when Eugenio named Aaron’s good qualities and then told Fausto those were the words he used when he wanted Aaron for an assistant.

I kept hoping some would walk in on Mac and Yolanda. All these cheaters need to be discovered

Jarifa and Diana, I was eating an English muffin as I read that comment about Flav renting the room to Jer " with her in it" and nearly choked . ha. Thanks for the giggle, Jarifa. I have been helping our daughter de-decorate . She puts up three big trees in addition to the stuff that gets set around ...so it takes awhile to put it all away . I leave up the lights I have in the living room and dining room on my hutch and bookcase and bow window all winter to lighten the rooms and my mood throughout the long , dark, cold nights of winter .

I don't think Ana Sofie knows that much about her father's business. She would not be in on Silvano's really dirty business (whatever that is) and she might only know her own role which is to serve as bait for any man her father wanted to fleece.

Jeronimo needs to keep his eyes and ears open about Flavia. She is both a vulture and a vampire and based on how badly she seems to be aging I'd say she was bitten past her prime. She is a greed monster and would have been a better wife for Braulio if he hadn't shown a strong preference for the Stepford type he is trying to turn Celeste into.

I don't think Macario is sincere with his side piece; he would take the money and run and end up losing it on cards or at the races.

Loved the tortolitos act put on for Fausto's benefit. I hope we get at least a glimpse of their action when that finally happens. Maybe Aaron will be better in the sheets than Fausto and Karen will ditch Fausto for real.

Big relief to see Gaby and JuanPa reconciled. However we're not likely to be at the middle yet.

Isabella is just the sort of little girl who should have a pretty cat but it's a relief to know that this kitty belongs to the neighbor; I shudder at what Fausto would do to him later. I would be happy to see him end up in a padded room.

Susanlynn, I'm interested in watching but I have my plate so full right now!! I actually starting watching this when it first starting airing in Mexico and I've seen the beginning episodes. I don't think I'll start watching on Uni tonight but I may jump in after awhile when things calm down for me and I have more time.
