Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 55 – Part 1 of 4

Mari, Domi and Sam meet with Villabla regarding the project for the orphans, he assures Domi in 435 words or more that he has her full support for the project.

Sam and Domi go shopping for gardening supplies and Sam shows her exactly what they need. Domi feels ignorant since she doesn’t know up from down around the plants but Sam assures her, she’s doing fine. Domi ends up pricking her finger (on a thorn?) and Sam goes to look at it. It’s bleeding a little and Sam actually puts it in his mouth to suck the blood (yuck!) This would have been down right creepy coming from anyone else but since Sam is so unassuming and innocent from him it’s just odd. He says he knows what Domi needs and runs off to get it.

Villabla (I’m going to start calling him Villa it’s shorter) questions Mari about whether or not Lupe has said anything about him and the answer is no which is disappointing to him. Villa confesses to Mari that he proposed marriage to her mother. Villa tells Mari that Lupe is thinking about it, she hasn’t said no or yes. Villa assures Mari that his intentions with her mom are completely honest and Mari says she knows and she supports them getting married.

Lupe and Conchita are preparing the Polozeria space and Mica is helping. Lupe wonders if Mica will get in trouble for helping, but she says she can do what she wants on her day off. Lupe bends the wrong way and her potential engagement ring falls out of her pocket. Both Mica and Conchita are shocked because they knew nothing and Lupe admits Villa proposed and she said she’d think about it but she doesn’t think she’s up for marriage. Conchita is in favor too and she encourages Lupe to give Villa a chance, Mica says Conchita is right but Lupe isn’t so sure. Lupe says she has to think of Mariluz first, as if Mari were 8 instead of a fully grown adult! Conchita points this out saying Lupe has been thinking of Mariluz her whole life and she deserves to think of herself as well.

Domi is still bleeding and Sam brings a first aid kit, he cleans and wraps her finger while telling Domi how he isn’t very good at helping but it’s nice to be able to help her after she’s helped him so much. Thanks to her he knows how to read and to write. He’s even reading a book now! Domi is thrilled to hear it and Sam says it’s a book Adrian lent him and it talks all about how important it is to help other people like Domi is doing with her project. Domi mentions it might not be a good idea for Sam to help her. She doesn’t want him to get confused and as she’s said before the last thing she’d want to do is hurt him. Sam says don’t worry, he understands that she likes Damian, he just wants to help her and the kids and he’ll be good at it. Domi smiles and pats him on the arm.

Augi and his new/old lover Briana heading for dinner and these two are flirting up a storm. Briana wants him all night long! Santiago and Elisa are following the truck.

Aw, the answer to SpanProf’s question! Sam is just seeing the photo now! But it’s blurry and Sam says he can’t really tell what she looks like. Jesus agrees it’s a bad photo but he can see enough to be sure it’s her and Sam says he hates the idea that his mother was once in love with Augi, he can’t really believe it. Jesus thinks back to what Augi told him and shakes his head. He agrees with Sam, he doesn’t believe Augi’s story. He’s sure his mom would never have fallen in love with Augi!

Damian and Domi are having dinner as friends who hold hands! LOL. Augi happens to walk into the same restaurant with Briana and Damian sees them but Domi doesn’t. Outside, Augi’s driver goes off somewhere and Elisa distracts the guy on valet duty while Santiago goes to place the tracker on Augi’s truck. Back inside the restaurant, Augi now sees Damian and Domi and also sees Damian see him. Domi was looking for a dessert to share but Damian talks her out of it. Suggesting they go get dessert somewhere house. Damian escorts Domi out of the restaurant, making sure she doesn’t see daddy.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 55 – Part 2 of 4

Augi and Briana continue to talk and flirt. Briana makes it clear that there are no other men like Augi! She’s so happy to be with him instead of her ex, Patricio who was boring and didn’t know how to treat a woman! Augi takes all the complements and comes up with an idea! He recently lost Patricio’s support for his political campaign due to some lies an enemy spread about him but Augi is sure that if Briana reached out to him, with her charms, she could get him to reconsider. So, he's basically pimping her out??? Briana says anything for you! (ick)

Lupe tells Conchita she didn’t tell her about the proposal sooner because she was distracted by the scene with Augi and Vicky.

Los Guerreros celebrate the fact that Adrian got into college but they still won’t let Adrian have a beer and he has to toast with water – this is weird since I thought the legal drinking age in Mexico was 18? Jesus makes some joke about looking him in the eye when they toasted that neither Sam nor I understood but it made Adrian laugh and nearly spit out his water. Jesus says he’ll explain it to Sam later, perhaps the patio could explain it to me?

Mari joins Mom and Grandma in the still furniture less front room, they are still sleeping on the floor it seems. Mari finally tells Mom that she’s going to start working for Augi tomorrow and Lupe reacts the way you would expect her to. Mari says she understands mom doesn’t want her to but look at the situation they are in? Mari can’t afford to turn down the job and besides it’s in her field! Lupe says if you’ve made up your mind; I won’t say anything else. Just keep in mind that every dollar you make, you are making at the expense of valuing your mother!!! (or something like that) Lupe storms off and Conchita says ‘How dramatic! Oh my goodness, I think she’s watched too many telenovelas!!!’ LOL Conchita says give her time and Mari says she doesn’t understand why mom hates Augi so much! Is it still because he married Vicky? Mari imagines she’d feel the same (sad, it’s been 20 years, get over it!) and grandma knows Augi is a good person, right?

Augi goes to see Damian. He wants to offer him money to keep his mouth shut. Damian says it’s not necessary. Augi hopes that Damian doesn’t want Domi because that isn’t going to happen. They broke up and Damian needs to stay away from Domi. Damian says he and Domi just went out as friends and he already forgot about what he saw at the restaurant so Augi doesn’t need to give him any money. Augi says he’ll take his word for it, and Jesus arrives on the scene. Augi tells Jesus that he just came by to remind him of the expo and Jesus confirms it’s tomorrow, he hasn’t forgotten. He’ll be ready. Very good, Augi agrees. Good night! Augi leaves and Jesus says he must have come for something else.

Damian tells Jesus about Augi and Briana and the brothers decide that this is the perfect thing to use to expose Augi for the liar he is! But they need proof, Damian is going to follow Augi next time and get some photos but he’s to be careful not to be seen, they don’t need Augi distrusting them at this juncture.

The next day, Augi tells his secretary Oliva, that Mari is starting work there today. She is going to be the assistant to finances. Oliva says that position doesn’t exist and Augi says he knows but it does now! And Oliva needs to be discreet, he doesn’t want Mari to find out he invented the position just for her. Mari arrives and immediately proves she didn’t understand enough about Finance in school by signing her contract without reading it, because she trusts Augi completely! Augi leaves Mari to it and goes to tell Vicky he’s leaving.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 55 – Part 3 of 4

Vicky isn’t happy to hear Augi is leaving and much less that he’ll be gone overnight but Augi doesn’t care of course. He explains that he needs to be there and he’s taking Jesus and not Fede because Jesus has the expertise in mechanics that he needs for this particular negotiation. Vicky asks how late Augi is going to be gone and Augi asks why, Vicky claims it’s because she wants to know how much time she has to go shopping! LOL

Oliva piles work on Mari three seconds after she enters the door and from her attitude it’s clear she isn’t thrilled that Mari is there. She tells Mari she wants some sort of report from all the info and Mari asks if she wants it in this format or that? (Sorry don’t speak finance well enough to specify any better) Oliva says since she is so eager to work she should prepare it in both formats! lol Jesus arrives and is pleasantly surprised to see Mari but unhappy to realize it’s because she’s working there. He starts to tell her she can’t work there but he’s cut short by Augi arriving and ushering him out.

Vicky tells Oliva she has two days of unsupervised time to find the documents that Vicky is paying her for; Oliva says she’s trying to find them but it’ll be more difficult with the new girl working under thumb. This leads to Vicky’s unpleasant discovery that Augi hired a Garcia!!! The horror! She tells Oliva to take care of her before she steals her job and look for a way to get her out from under hand so you can look for those papers!

Santiago and Elisa are in the expo too and they discuss how Augi is involved with cars and races, that’s how he’s associated with Jesus Guerrero. Elisa says again how sure she was that Jesus was her son but Santi says there’s no way it can be true and she needs to forget about it. Augi and Jesus have arrived and are looking around. Augi sees Elisa but I don’t think Jesus did.

Emma meets up with Belen and Belen is surprised Adrian isn’t with Em. Em says he’s coming to meet them and should be here any minute. Adrian is at home doing pushups instead. When he’s done, he calls Laura because he can’t find his wallet and wonders if he left it in her car. Em meanwhile confesses to Belen that Adrian has been acting odd lately and she feels like he’s hiding something from her. Belen feels awkward and hesitant but she finally admits to Emma that Adrian acted the same way with her right before he broke up with her and that later she realized it was because Adrian liked Emma.

Augi meets with a supplier and they seem to come to an agreement but Jesus privately advises against going with that company. Augi says they are the lowest prices but Jesus says they are also unreliable and have been known to sell shoddy material. This is a case of ‘you get what you pay for’ and they are better off going with someone who can provide the services they need to get the job done. Augi says Jesus is the expert and Jesus reminds they have a meeting this afternoon with the other suppliers. Does Augi have the contracts? No, didn’t Fede give them to Jesus? Nope. And Jesus doesn’t have time to go get them. No problem, Augi will have Fede bring them he wants Jesus to concentrate on the expo anyway.

Augi calls Fede who is currently in the throes of passion with Vicky! Vicky doesn’t want him to answer the phone but he does. Augi orders Fede to bring the contracts right away but he says he can’t. He’s busy…um, getting everything ready for his meeting with his Patricio. Augi relents because that’s important too but he orders Fede to send someone else. Fede is about to send Oliva but Vicky says send someone else. Oliva suggests sending Mari – getting Mari out of the way so Oliva can do Vicky’s bidding.

Oliva hangs up with Fede and tells Mari she has to go to the expo. Mari agrees quickly enough and is on her way.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 55 – Part 4 of 4

Laura brings Adrian his wallet and he is about to skate off to meet Emma and Belen but Laura volunteers to drive him, it’ll be faster. Adrian tries to demur; he doesn’t want to put her out but she says it’s no bother at all so he hops in.

Briana calls Augi and says she heard he’s in Puebla, what a surprise! She is too! (Briana is supposed to be Domi’s BFF but they don’t look anywhere near the same age) They can meet up and have a nice night together. Augi rushes off to meet his lover like a love-struck schoolboy, leaving Jesus in charge of everything here. Jesus calls Damian and tells him to get to Puebla to take the pics, tonight’s the night!

Emma still can’t get ahold of Adrian but he arrives with Laura! She tells Belen that Laura is a girl Adrian met at school and Belen hopes history isn’t repeating itself. Emma wants to confront the situation head on but Belen says that’s the mistake she made and Emma should be more calculating. She needs to find a way to make sure Laura doesn’t steal Adrian from her.

Sam and Domi are in a field, presumably laying the groundwork for the future garden? Domi is getting tired and Sam tells her it’s good their spot is by a white building because on days that aren’t sunny the building will still reflect what light there is. Domi would never have thought of that but it makes perfect sense. Domi sits to rest and Sam tells her to drink some water. Domi is impressed that Sam knows so much about this and he says he had to because if things didn’t go well on the ranch Tata would…. Domi points out that it’s obvious the Guerrero brothers were not raised together and she wants to know why not? She wants to know everything! Sam just says he can’t tell her anything.

Briana and Augi are flirting and kissing over dinner and he’s worried they are exposing themselves too much but Briana says no one will ever find out. She’s probably wrong though because Damian is there and he’s getting some good photos.

The receptionist comes to bring Jesus the documents for his meeting and I’m surprised cause I was expecting the big ‘surprise’ meetup between Mari and Jesus, but I guess not. Jesus gets the documents and the meeting seems to be going swimmingly.

Mari calls Oliva and says Augi isn’t at the hotel and he isn’t expected back until tomorrow. Is Oliva sure she needs to stay to bring back the signed contracts? Oliva says yes, unless you want to explain to the boss tomorrow why you didn’t and see if you don’t get fired. All right, Mari will stay, but where? Oliva suggests using Augi’s room since it’s already booked and he’s not there.

Carloca comes home and no one is there to greet her except Mica. Carloca wants to know why the driver came for her and not daddy and Mica says he’s out of town with Jesus. This perks Carloca’s ears and she asks if Mica knows what hotel they are staying in. Mica says no but she hesitates and she isn’t a very good liar.

Mari enters the room talking to grandma about how nice the hotel is and how she has to say overnight. She checks out the room and is amazed by how elegant it is. She is unaware of Jesus entering the adjoined room and both halves of this couple are getting semi-undressed. Mari puts on music which alerts Jesus who comes and is surprised to find his lady love there. Mari wants to know why Jesus is in her room but he explains they are in a two-room suit and no Mari can’t ask for another room because the hotel is sold out from the expo. But Jesus wants her to stay with him, tonight and for the rest of his life! He says life keeps throwing them together for a reason. He gets closer and flirtier and Mari’s defenses come down. He says it’s time to listen to what life is telling them. He wasn’t expecting to find the love of his life in the room today but she’s here and he’s not waiting anymore. He fashions a ring out of a candy wrapper and asks her to marry him! Mari enthusiastically agrees and they take it to the bed and as they begin to make love the episode comes to an end.

Thanks, Darcy. You captured all the action in a fun episode that did not drag. First things first, this episode was missing a few of my favorite things: Valero, Damián’s brilliant disguise (which should have been worn whilst he photographed Augi & Bri), and the Man Diary - all were all nowhere to be found.

There was plenty going on though. I really like Sam (R.N.) and Dome’s friendship. They have great platonic chemistry.

If I’m not mistaken, you are supposed to look into each others’ eyes during a toast; otherwise you’re destined for 7 years of bad sex. After the brothers toast Adrian’s future, Jesús reminds them all to keep eye contact. Sam doesn’t understand, and this cracks Adrián up. Jesús tells Sam he’ll explain it later. I love the brothers bonding scenes.

Guadaloopy vowed to zip her lip about Mari’s new job and then declared that all the money Mariluz makes under Augi will be needed to pay for Lupe’s wake(! LOL). This was another cute scene.

I was disappointed (but should have known) that Mari’s job wasn’t real. LOL @ her not learning to read contracts in school. I believe Mari asked Olivia if she wanted her work in pdf or a shared spreadsheet when Olivia said BOTH. Jeez. Why is Olivia such a B(ad boss)? Mommy Dearest didn’t know about this arrangement so she can’t get credit.

This is neither here nor there, but I like the team of Elisa & Opera Man. They should have a spin-off. I’d watch their adventures.

I didn’t think Augi or Jesús saw Elisa. That scene was oddly edited. Augi would have had a cow; instead, it was business as usual at the expo. Sage Jesùs said “lo barato sale caro.” Go cheap and pay. This guy really is more than just a pretty face/mechanic!

Time out! A few episodes ago we were led to believe that Fede (1) had a tattoo on his lower neck and was (2) linked to Adrián’s mom. When his whoopee session was interrupted by Augi, there was no tattoo. What gives? And why did MD wig out when Fede called her “Vicky.”

I don’t mind Belén being Honest Emma’s voice of reason. Finally, a true friend.

I didn’t catch that Carloca asked Mica which hotel Augi was in (Great ear, Darcy!). Uh oh.

Style Alert:
Augi’s hair was on point (full pompadour) at the expo. He and Jesús were both rocking some cool shades. Unfortunately, it somehow deflated on the way to his date with Bri.
I liked Sam & Doménica’s overalls in the field.
Carloca’s “Cyan” shirt caught my eye as well. Super.Cool.

Thank you O.S. for clarifying several scenes for me!!! I was struggling in several spots. I don't know if it was the broadcast or user error or what but I kept having to rewind and rewind and I still couldn't quite make out some of what was said. The audio track wasn't clear - or my ears need to be cleared! LOL I knew I didn't quite have what Lupe said about Mari working for Augi right, but I couldn't figure it out. Thanks for adding that!!!

I noticed Carloca's Cyan shirt too! It was a strategic pop of color I think, it stood out. It caught my eye too because I am apartment hunting right now and one of the complexes I was looking at was named 'Cyan'.

I guess Vicky doesn't like Vicky?? LOL I am going to call her that even more often. I didn't note Fede's tattoos but that's an interesting point. So it was a different guy with Adrian's mom... makes sense since I doubt they would go with the Adrian and Emma are cousins plot considering they have already had sex.

I like Sam and Domi's friendship too, I was wish he'd get over the wistfulness and truly see it as just friendship!

Guerrero. Another excellent detailed recap, Darcy! Mari is not only a fully grown adult but has a degree in Finance. Instead of boxing or wrestling, Sam should be thinking of a career as a master gardener. Whoa! Augi now owes Damian and Jesus so much! Little does he know. So, Olivia is evil. I too wonder what kind of hold Vicki has on her. And Adrian might not be the responsible boyfriend he seemed. I expect Carlota will show up in Puebla. O.S.: Good one, noticing Fede's lack of a tattoo. And good comments all around.

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 56 – Part 1 of 4

Adrian is joining a rap battle?? LOL Both Laura and Emma are watching and Emma doesn’t like the way Adrian is looking at Laura. I barely understand rap in English on a good day, can’t help you with what they are rapping in Spanish.

Sam thinks back to meeting Elisa and Valero wants to know what he is thinking. Sam says he’s waiting for that lady who needed work to come back and Valero says no way, forget about her, she’s a grifter. Sam says she seemed like a nice lady to him and she could be in need. Sam says there was something about her that drew him in, she made him think of his mom who could be a lady like that! (Aw!) Domi is seen in the background crossing the street. Sam wonders if mom is looking for them like they are looking for her and I thought Domi would overhear but she doesn’t. She tells Sam she’s brought the plans for the project and she needs the advice of the expert. They go off to look at them.

Jesus and Mari are still in bed. Talking about how perfect it is to be together and how much they love each other. Being together is a dream and Jesus says the dream will never end. After being with her he could never put up with being without her. She is going to ask mom and grandma for her hand tomorrow! They will have a fancy dinner and Mari says he doesn’t have to spend the money but he says of course, he does it’s a celebration! More gushing over how much they love each other.

Domi has a draw up of the garden and shows Sam what she is thinking. Sam has lots of ideas and Valero looks like a proud papa enjoying how animated Sam is in discussing this and seeing how much he clearly knows about the subject. Selena arrives and says hello, handsome! She tells Sam he didn’t call her so she decided to come and see him because otherwise she might grow old waiting for him! LOL Sam apologizes and says he’s been busy helping Domi with a project for the orphans. Sam sings Domi’s praises as usual and Domi offers to leave the blueprints with Sam to look at, she just needs a list of changes by the end of the day because she wants to be ready for the morning. Sam agrees the kids will love it and as they are talking Selena ‘accidentally’ spills her drink on the plans! Selena claims it was an accident but Domi isn’t fooled and says it wasn’t.

Elisa and Santi are still trying to follow Augi but his car hasn’t moved. We see a glimpse of Damian so I am thinking she’s near him. Santi doesn’t know what to do since there’s nowhere to follow Augi to and he doesn’t think they will find her sons here. He asks if Elisa wants to wait. No, Elisa wants to go back to the mechanic shop and see that kid again. She knows she said it was risky and Santi might think she’s imagining things again but she needs to. She felt like she knew that boy!! She needs to go back. Santi agrees and they take off, and indeed, they drive right past Damian as they are exiting the parking lot.

More of Mari and Jesus in bed and if these two were more interesting this might be of interest but really, I don’t even feel happy for their happiness I am just waiting for the I love you’s to stop so I can watch something else. The phone rings and it’s Carloca, but neither looks to see whose calling and Jesus decides not to answer. He’s done with work for the day, has nothing pending and has nothing to say to Carloca – they are finished.

Next, we see Carloca herself, looking as loca as ever and upset that neither daddy nor Jesus are answering. She’s holding a pregnancy test and we learn she doesn’t even know for sure yet if she is preggers. She thinks about taking the test but decides against it. She wants to wait so they can take the test together and get the good news together! At this point, I’m not sure if ‘they’ is just her and Jesus or if she wants daddy there too! What if it’s negative? She doubts for a minute… no it HAS to be positive!!! She bites her nails and then takes the test to the bathroom. She has to be sure!

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 56 – Part 2 of 4

Domi is still trying in vain to clean up her drawing and Sam is trying to apologize and even take the blame but Domi ends up stalking off. After she leaves, Selena tries to play it off as no big deal but Sam gives us yet another reason to love him by saying what Selena did was wrong and it’s not Domi’s fault that Selena is jealous. Selena disagrees and says of course it’s her fault, it’s all her fault! Selena is tired of trying so hard to help Sam get over Domi when Sam does nothing to help himself! Domi appears and Sam goes running. Selena walks out disappointed and Valero tells Sam that love is like an apple? Two people (or birds?) eating it is sweet but three people stinks! (LOL this must be another one of those figures of speech which lose their meaning when translated to English)

Conchita and d. Abel are at their dancing date and having a lovely time. They are flirting gently and learning more about each other. It’s really cute and a nice break from the rest of the drama. It looks like Conchita leaned in for a kiss at the end of the dance but Abel didn’t notice. The next dance is less pleasant as they start talking about the Guerreros and the mention of Jesus makes Conchita anxious about Mariluz. Abel assures her Jesus is a good man, and Concha wants to know where Jesus is from. She’s sure she’s met him before. She can’t quite place him but she recognizes his eyes. Abel doesn’t answer.

Emma gets home and looks up Laura who has more likes and followers than her on Insta.

Concha and Abel are now sitting at a table. Concha goes on about enjoying the music and Abel suggests they should keep enjoying the afternoon and he asks if she wants some coffee. She reminds him that they agree to call each other by their names and says she does want coffee, but with _________ (I didn’t catch this).

Mari and Jesus got dressed! LOL They are actually going to leave the room and Jesus says he won’t give her a kiss, not because he doesn’t want to but because if he does, they’ll never leave the room. Mari kisses him anyway and he threatens to make her stay but they do leave and Jesus forgets his phone. We get a montage of them enjoying the town and Jesus taps a painter on the shoulder but realizes it’s not his mother. Next, they are having lunch (or dinner?) and the creative man gives the florist flowers! LOL But at least they are her favorite flower. They do the whole entwining wine glasses toast and continue to cute it up, I guess.

Lupe is a good cure for the sugary sweetness, she’s going off about Mariluz staying out over night without permission! She’s 16 after all, no wait… to be fair I think she’s more upset about the fact that she’s with Augi and Jesus than the fact that’s she’s out. Lupe declares she is going to Puebla to get Mariluz!!! Conchita tells Lupe to calm down because Mari isn’t with Jesus or Augi – she’s working! Working!!! Drama queen Lupe goes off and how Augi is worming his way into Mari’s life and it’s all her fault! She should have taken Mari far far away from Augi the second she was born! This perks up Mica’s ears and she wants to know why Lupe would want to get Mari far away from her boss. Conchita says that’s a great question, why indeed?

Now we get to see Augi and Briana in bed…. She says it was a torture being without him and they rehash again there time apart, Briana says she talked to her ex-Patricio. She hasn’t talked to him about Augi’s campaign yet, but they are seeing each other tomorrow and she will. Augi is thrilled.

Vicky is not thrilled because Oliva can’t find her documents anywhere! Fede says Augi probably has it kept in the bank or something it’s an important document! Vicky isn’t trying to hear that and she wants them all to look over everything again!

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 56 – Part 3 of 4

Emma and Domi talk and Emma tells Domi she figured out why Adrian is being weird with her, he likes another girl!! She saw them together! Domi asks if she’s sure, she’s seen Adrian with Emma and it’s obvious he’s in love with her! One doesn’t fall out of love overnight, or at least that’s what Domi is trying to believe. Besides, Emma is Adrian’s girlfriend, she should talk to him. She is in time to save her relationship. Em says Belen gave her the same advice, to find a way to keep that girl from taking Adrian from her and that’s what she will do! The sisters high five.

Adrian is reading more of momma’s letters. He reads how unhappy she was to be away from Adrian and how much she hated the nurses who treated her like she was crazy and she wasn’t! They tortured her and all she wanted was to be with her son!

Damian arrives with a rose for Domi and she’s not happy with him. She doesn’t understand why sometimes he ignores her and doesn’t want to see her or talk to her. She wants to know the truth, is Damian one of those men who loses interest in a woman as soon as he gets what he wants? Damian says Domi doesn’t know what she’s saying, first of all it isn’t simple interest he feels for Domi, it’s love and a grand love that he feels for her. Why is she saying this? She isn’t sure, but he’s hiding something and she wants to know what that is all about.

Elisa sits playing a piano and she flashes on seeing Sam AND Damian at the shop so she must have been back by. She says she knows them from somewhere, she’s sure of this, but where?

Domi thinks there’s another woman that’s the only explanation she can think of. Some other woman in his life or one he hasn’t completely gotten over. It’s making her very insecure. Damian assures her it’s not true. There is no other woman! She needs to trust him! He is only interested in her! He hugs her and again asks her to please, trust him as he walks out the window. Domi picks up the rose and is deep in thought.

Carloca is trying to calm herself down by telling herself she has no reason to be worried as Jesus is just with daddy. They are probably just at some boring business dinner. She is looking at the pregnancy test and saying tomorrow when he returns everything well by okay, she’ll have him totally for her again. Meanwhile, Jesus and Mari are back at their room saying totally the opposite. They are planning their future together as a married couple. Mari wants lots of kids, she was an only child and she’d prefer her kids had siblings to confide in like Jesus and his brothers. She wants to know if the Guerreros were always close and he tells her a little about them being close as kids but separated, he doesn’t share much and says he’d rather talk about them. Mari wants to too but she also wants to talk about Carloca. She wants a clean beginning and she doesn’t want to hurt anyone. Jesus promises to talk to Carloca tomorrow he doesn’t want her to get hurt either.

Lupe and Conchita argue about Mari and Augi spending time together again. Lupe thinks it’s a joke of fate but Concha thinks it’s a sign that it’s time to tell Mari the truth. Lupe takes her NEVER stance and Conchita takes her tell her now stance; we’ve heard this before.

Jesus and Mari are back in bed. Mari is sleeping and Jesus is gazing tenderly at his lady love, tracing her arms and face. Enjoy it while you can I guess, the shoe drops tomorrow, I’m sure.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 56 – Part 4 of 4

Elisa is on the couch with bad dreams and she wakes suddenly with the revelation that it’s them! Those mechanics are her sons!!! Santi is there and we haven’t gotten any definitive indication of just what their relationship is but they seem to be living together so I guess they are a couple???

Next day, Mari signs happily for breakfast as Jesus is still in bed. She wakes him and they play a little in bed but Mari wants to get up since Augi could arrive any time and she’d rather he not know anything until things are resolved with Carloca. Jesus repeats his promise to tell Carloca today.

Now in the car, Jesus assures Augi the contracts are signed. The suppliers had some concerns but he convinced them the contract had merit. Augi thanks Mari for coming and comments on what a first day it was for her. Mari says no problem, it all worked out well. Mari and Jesus’s loving looks aren’t lost on Augi.

Augi arrives home and Fede is there. He enters the office with both men and Jesus gives Mari some lingering loving looks before he closes the door. Augi tells Fede that the negotiation went great and Jesus took care of it all. Fede tells Augi that Carloca came back yesterday and she wants to see him. Augi says okay, he’s on his way. He tells Fede and Jesus to get started and leaves the study. Fede sarcastically says if Jesus keeps this up, he’ll be employee of the month! Jesus asks if Fede is jealous.

Augi and Carloca hug and he asks how she is. She’s good but a little upset daddy wasn’t there to greet her when she got home. It’s been 15 seconds so she brings up Jesus. She heard he was out of town with Jesus. Yep, Augi confirms and Mariluz!! Carloca is not happy. Dad tries to calmly tell her he hired Mariluz to work for him but Carloca wants to know how dad could do that to her!! Carloca goes off and Augi stays mostly calm until Carloca accuses him of helping Mari take Jesus from her! Augi says that isn’t true. Augi tells her to calm down and reminds her that she and Jesus broke up and Carloca says that’s not true! We are not broken up! He said that but he’s confused! We can’t break up; I need him and you can’t help Mari take him! Even if the whole world wants us to break up, we have to stay together! Augi tries to calm Carloca down by telling her no one is going to take anything from her. Carloca says she won’t calm down until Mari is GONE! Augi says that isn’t going to happen. He will help Carloca with Jesus but he can’t fire Mariluz. Carloca needs to understand that Mari needs the job, she doesn’t have the same privileges as Carloca and Carloca needs to be generous! Carloca thinks dad is doing this because he believes she destroyed the Polezeria, and she swears she didn’t! Augi says he won’t discuss that all he wants to know is if he can count on Carloca. She doesn’t answer but hugs daddy.

Augi is back in the study talking business again with Fede and Jesus and he needs two cars ready for next month. Jesus is on it and Augi needs Fede to get him the proposal for something…Augi keeps talking but Jesus’s thoughts wander to Mari and his proposal and our screens wonder to Mari thinking about the same thing and a determined Carloca approaching to demand an explanation of what happened between Jesus and Mari in the hotel last night! She heard that they were there together!

My episode started with Damián Leibovitz capturing Augi and that chick about 2.5x older than Domís (LOL) sneaking around.

I hope we don’t need a rap battle whisperer. As with Sir Talks-a-Lot, ignorance is bliss.

I was disappointed in Selena spilling her drink on the plans. Meow. I’m glad Doménica called her out and (our) Sam put her jealousy on blast. Valero’s old adage (I hope we get these on the regular): Love is an apple that only fits 2 worms. Enter 3 and it spoils. I liked your translation as well. LOL

Conchita wants her coffee with piquete (a kick/shot). Sassy!

I didn’t notice that Jesús was checking the Puebla painters for Elisa. Great catch. I don’t know much about wine, but the Sangría they were drinking looked crazy tasty.

Guada-loose-lips almost blabbed Mari’s true paternity to Mica during her tantrum. Really extra.

When Vicky and Ms. Congeniality Olivia are looking for the inheritance papers, Fede comes in and calls her “V.” She does not have a fit.

Mama Adrián has exquisite penmanship!

Is the actress playing Elisa a trained musician? I thought we might get done Tchaikovsky, but she only played 6 notes while remembering her sons.

Speaking of music, I liked the music box sounding tune the played while Carlica talked herself in and out of frenzy. It was perfect.

Who knew Fede would be such a little b(othered by Jesús doing a good job)? Sheeeh!

When Jesús started daydreaming I was sure we’d get a “Snap out if it!” from Augi. Instead, we got Carloca’s interrogation of Mari. It’s not clear why what happened in Puebla didn’t stay in Puebla. It’s ON tomorrow!!!!

Thank you O.S.! The new job is going well. Still in the introductory learning part, taking a lot of online trainings and reading a lot. Looking forward to the part where I'm actually doing stuff! LOL The apartment search is ongoing. So many options...lol I spent the better part of the last two weekends looking at places but I am taking this weekend off to relax and reset. I am not moving until the end of May so I'm giving myself lots of time to look and decide. I want to find a place I love! I've found lots of good options but I don't know if I've found THE place yet.

Yeah, I figure Uni was chopping just from how abrupt the sudden rap battle was....it was a weird place to start but what can you do?

LOL Valero's apple adage makes more sense than what I wrote! I just can't understand what he is saying half the time. Good thing we do have a Valero Whisperer, Thank you!

I have seen Gaby Spanic in many novelas but I have seen her play musical so I would guess she's not a trained musician but who knows?

I don't think Carloca actually knows what happened even though that's what she said, I think she's just referring to hearing that they all stayed overnight in Puebla. I'm betting she would have come out swinging or by setting something on fire if she really knew what happened.
 

Guerrero. Superb recap, Darcy! Ho hum. I'm getting a bit tired of this "Are they my sons, aren't they my sons?" and will they meet in person or not? theme. Sam is incredibly kind and charitable as always. I totally understand about starting to find Mari and Jesus boring. I too was waiting for the "love yous" to stop to get on with the actual plot. Hmm. There must be some reason we don't see the results of Carlota's pregnancy test (IIRC). Did the novela's authors do that on purpose or is it just the result of some cuts to the original? Laura still seems an unnecessary complication. In Carlota's mind it's always about Carlota.
