Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 59 – Part 1 of 5

The Guerrero’s escape Augi’s poorly hatched ambush as he yells threats into the night sky. The boys aren’t scared though – mostly cuz they aren’t there and can’t hear him. They are already back in the truck and Damian lets his brothers know that mom was there, he saw her but he didn’t see her face? I thought he saw her face at the art exhibit but maybe not. Sounds like Damian doesn’t know what mom looks like…

Santi is angry that Elisa continues to expose herself! It’s too dangerous. Elisa is only worried about who shot. Maybe it was one of her sons? Does Santi think they were there?

Fede tells Augi that it was a woman and a man in the car. Perhaps Elisa and one of her sons. Augi says it was Elisa, he saw her, but it wasn’t any of her sons with her. Her sons were inside setting things on fire. Augi didn’t even see them as they were wearing masks.

The guys are back home and Jesus is giving Valero a hard time about the Zorro mask! Valero looks 100% amused and not at all repentant! (I think Jesus looked good in the Zorro mask!) Jesus does admit that the mask gave him the inspiration to do what needed to be done. He next comments on Sam’s wrestling mask and how he beat up that one guy pretty good. Sam looks pleased with himself as well and says he liked his mask! The boys learned something useful tonight, mom can’t possibly be working with Augi – he tried to shoot her! Jesus doesn’t understand this, he knows why Augi would come after them but why is he out to get Mama?

What a coincidence, Santi is asking Elisa the same question!! He doesn’t want to pressure Elisa; he just wants to protect her! That man is dangerous and willing to kill her! Elisa says she won’t hide herself again, especially knowing now that her sons are in danger. She needs to find them! Santi says they are talking about her life but she says her life doesn’t make sense without her sons.

Damian is drawing all the right conclusions and states Mom must have gone to that meeting to find us not Augi. This makes Sam happy because he was sure his mom was a good person and that means she loves them and wants to be with them! Jesus says mom’s communicating with Augi somehow though, and he wonders how. He drops the bomb that now he’s committed to Carloca because she’s pregnant. Sam says but you love Mariluz! But Jesus says he can’t leave his child and he doesn’t want to be a weekend dad; a child needs his father every day! Speaking of, Mari is looking at the photo of her fake daddy (already forgot his name) and crying. She takes off her equally fake engagement ring and cries herself to sleep.
Damian, on a roll, asks another smart question! Is Jesus sure the baby is his? Jesus doesn’t even consider this possibility however, Carloca hasn’t been with anyone but him, he is sure. He says he’s an idiot who fall in his own trap and now he has to take responsibility for his own actions. What about the plan, Sam wonders. Jesus says the plan will continue! Not only because of the promise to dad but also because we have to protect Mom! (Not to mention his unborn child – if it was his unborn child)

Augi arrives home and Vicky is waiting for him. She says you’re finally home and he thinks she’s going to start complaining, but no, she just wants some loving. They need to recapture the passion from when they first met. She wants to feel like the only woman in his life. These two get busy.


 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 59 – Part 2 of 5

Briana and Domi are talking and Briana isn’t happy because Domi has actual work to do and can’t come play with her! Domi offers to meet her that evening and Briana suggests Domi should bring her galan with her! He’s such a nice guy, Briana can tell because he did her that favor yesterday bringing the sunglasses back to her at the hotel. It certainly seems like Briana pointedly said this and Domi wasn’t happy to hear it – is it because she knows what kind of person Briana is? Or would she really get jealous just because Damian did a favor for another woman?? We don’t know, but Damian is about to find out! He sneaks up on Domi and tries to talk but she isn’t giving him the time of day! Poor Sam has the misfortune of arriving at that point and gets put in the middle as Domi wants Sam to get in the car and drive her away from Damian but Damian wants him to wait and give them some time to talk!

Vicky and Augi are having a briefly pleasant morning but Vicky brings up the inheritance which ruins the mood. Augi says no way, your father entrusted me with that responsibility for a reason. Vicky tries to reason with Augi but he isn’t even going to discuss it.

Mari is in the office and sees Jesus arrive, they say a quick hello but Carloca arrives and gives Jesus a kiss that he doesn’t shrink away from. He asks how she feels and she’s happy as a clam! She’s the only one happy! Both Jesus and Mari are very uncomfortable as Carloca goes on and on about the excitement of the baby. Augi arrives and wants to talk baby news as well. Jesus agrees but Carloca says the only thing to discuss is the wedding date. She wants it to be soon because she doesn’t want people gossiping about her being pregnant and unwed.

More of Damian and Domi giving Sam competing instructions on what to do. Domi tells Damian she doesn’t want to talk. She will look for him later that is if it’s isn’t too busy doing favors for her friends! Damian can’t believe she’s upset about that but he gets no where and eventually Domi convinces Sam to take her side and get in the car and drive away.

Jesus tries again to get this conversation moved into the office and away from Mariluz but both Augi and Carloca continue and the time line is set in front of Mari. In TWO WEEKS they will be husband and wife! And no one will be able to separate you from me ever, Carloca proclaims!

Mari retreats to the kitchen where she finds Mica. She admits she’s crying because Jesus and Carloca are planning their wedding in front of her. Mica has nothing good to say about that. She’s sure Carloca got pregnant on purpose, it’s the only way she could hold on to Jesus. Mari says whatever way it happened, the baby is on the way and she has to let go of Jesus. She’ll have to quit this job too because she can’t bare to be around and Jesus all the time. Mica says Mari can’t quit, she needs the job especially since Lupe can’t open the Polzeria (?) I didn’t completely understand but I think Mica was saying they don’t have any furniture for the business? Augi walks in just as Mica says this and he wants to know what that is all about? How could they not have their stuff replaced? Wouldn’t insurance pay for it? What insurance? Mica wants to know. Lupe was just getting out of debt she couldn’t afford any insurance! Augi offers to help pay for whatever the ladies need! Mari demurs but Augi says it could be a loan and she can pay it back via payroll deduction. Lupe doesn’t even have to know! Mari says she can’t accept. She doesn’t want Augi to think she’s ungrateful. She appreciates very much the opportunity to work for him, but the thing is she has to quit. Cara de impactada for Augi and he wants to know why, but Cervantes calls in that moment so the conversation will have to wait.

Augi leaves and Mica tries to encourage Mari to stay and to take the loan but Mari says no amount of money will make her forget Jesus. Speaking of, Jesus comes to the doorway just in time to hear Mari say how she needs to forget about him forever!

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 59 – Part 3 of 5

Emma is locked in her room with a bottle again and trashing pictures of her and Adrian on her phone. Adrian is skipping classes already because his life is pointless without Emma. Valero confronts him and tells him he promised Jesus he’d try hard in school. Adrian says Emma won’t talk to him and has blocked him on all social media. The only one who knows the truth is Laura. This gives the future lawyer the idea that he can call Laura for his defense and have her talk to Emma!!! So, he runs out the room to school I’m guessing since that’s where he would find Laura.

Emma is still sulking and now has the brilliant idea to go party with the mean girls who have been cruel to her. She posts an update to Insta saying it may not be her best day but she’s found the solution – today’s she’s going to party!

Damian and Jesus talk about how unbelievable it is that Jesus will be a part of Augi’s family in 15 days! After all these years of hating him! They just have to look on the bright side Jesus will be closer than ever to Augi and able to get more information. Jesus says he’s waited so long for this and he thought he’d feel like the king of the world and really, he just feels horrible. Because of Mariluz, Damian guesses. Jesus says for many reasons but yes, mostly Mari. Damian encourages Jesus to concentrate on the plan and on Augi. Jesus is thinking of Augi but he’s also thinking about his child. The child is innocent in all this and Jesus wants to take care of him. Damian says he’s sure Jesus will be the best father in the world, and Jesus just wishes Mariluz was the mother! Damian again reminds Jesus to think of the plan and he mentions how Briana is involved with Patricio too, he saw them kissing! Jesus can’t believe it, he always thought Patricio was an honest man and Damian says, maybe he is; but Augi isn’t and neither is Briana. What if they are conning Patricio?

Augi is in his office going through his briefcase and finding nothing! Fede enters and Augi demands to know who was going through his office? He had photo in this briefcase and now it’s gone. Fede says he doesn’t think anyone was in Augi’s office but Augi feels like things are out of place ever since he got back from the expo. Fede says maybe if Augi told him what the photo was of and Augi says it was him and Elisa years ago. He can’t believe even the photo is missing on top of everything, they should have had them last night!!! Fede doesn’t understand why Elisa is so important and he asks Augi what happened all those years ago with Elisa that Augi is still so concerned about her now.

We get a flashback to a conversation with Augi and Vicky’s father and we learn Vicky’s daddy didn’t just leave Augi in charge of Vicky’s inheritance after all!!! Augi forced him at gun point to sign over the power of attorney and then stabbed him to death (with the knife from Octavio Sanchez which was actually a gift to Don Victoriano and not Augi!) and Elisa witnessed the whole thing! Unfortunately, she didn’t stay hidden and let Augi see that she saw him! Augi doesn’t tell Fede this though, he tells him Elisa knows nothing but she still wants to provoke him! She and her sons want to take everything from him!!! Fede doubts this could happen, Augi is very protected but Augi isn’t comforted one bit by this and Fede is to continue looking for that woman AND her sons! Augi also asks if Vicky ever asked Fede about her heritance but he says no, of course not, why would she ask me?

The furniture delivery guys come to bring a bunch stuff for the house saying it came from Mariluz, Lupe and Conchita are thrilled to receive it! (I would have been asking how she could afford all this on her second day of work, but whatever)

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 59 – Part 4 of 5

Mari is in the office on a call telling someone about some error and how she can’t confirm something else without Augi’s authorization. Augi comes in and she shows him the error and says she took the liberty of getting it fixed. Augi wants to know where Oliva is and Mari doesn’t know but she organized a file with all the information that Oliva needs after she leaves. Augi smiles and opens the folder to check out Mari’s work.

Lupe is about to sign the receipt for the delivery when she notices it’s Augi’s name on the receipt. So sorry, but she can’t accept anything from that man!!! Conchita tries to reason that they need it and the delivery guys are not happy to be repacking what they just unpacked but Lupe insists and the furniture starts to disappear back into the truck. Conchita calls Lupe stubborn over and over again.

Vicky and Oliva are arguing again about her not being able to find the inheritance papers, but this time Augi overhears! Oliva is fired for disloyalty!!! Olive immediately tries to plead her case saying it’s all Vicky’s fault while Vicky counters with her own claim of innocence while throwing Oliva under the bus. Augi interrupts them both. He and Vicky will talk later and for now, Mari will prepare Oliva’s termination papers. She is to leave without any severance! And if Oliva doesn’t want to sign the termination he will call his lawyers and get them to sue her for violating her confidentiality agreement and for stealing documents!

Belen and Adrian’s friends are helping with the garden project and I don’t remember the names of any of the guys but it looks like one of them may be taking Adrian’s place in Belen’s affections as he carefully wipes the dirt off her face with his shirt earning himself a sweet smile. Domi arrives to give further instructions and Belen asks about Emma, she called but she hasn’t returned her call, she’s guessing she’s busy. Domi says she isn’t busy, she’s depressed. Adrian cheated on her. Domi says if Belen wants to go visit her it may be a good idea as she could use a visit from a good friend. Domi walks off and Belen says she doesn’t know if Emma considers her a good friend or not, but if she was in Emma’s position she would appreciate her visiting. The boys agree but think it’s weird, because Adrian wouldn’t do something like that.

Laura plays dumb saying she didn’t mean to cause Adrian problems. She didn’t think his relationship with Emma was serious and she thought they had a connection. Apparently, in Laura world if you say something like ‘Emma is the love of my life’ it’s a joke?! Adrian says he’s very serious and now Emma won’t even talk to him, Laura is the only other person who can talk to Emma. She agrees to do so easily enough and begs again for Adrian to forgive her and she promises it will never happen again.

Emma begs the driver to take her to the party and convinces him that her parents are too busy and told her to ask him to take her! He shouldn’t even call to ask because they are super busy and they will get mad if he disrupts them. Em gives the puppy dog face and after a minute it works. Emma says her thank you by sharing one of her bottles of vodka with him. There will be plenty at the party! The driver looks rather long suffering but he gets in the car.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 59 – Part 5 of 5

Sam is showing some young kids how to rig up water bottles to water their plants and Domi walks up on the demonstration very impressed by his knowledge and teaching. The kids are loving it and Domi declares that hiring Sam was the best decision she could have made, Sam is wonderful at this and he knows so much!! She gushes that she couldn’t have done it without him and she gives him a big hug which earns him a ‘Why are you hugging my girl, Samuel?’ from Damian who is just arriving.

Mari brings Augi Oliva’s termination papers. Augi says Mari has proven herself efficient, capable and a problem solver. She’s the perfect person to take Oliva’s place. Mari tries to demur but Augi says the position comes with a raise of course. Mari finally agrees to stay – but only until Augi can find someone else. Augi has to understand, Mari can’t stay here. Augi takes a pause and asks if it’s because of Jesus? Mari doesn’t answer and Augi comes around the desk and sits by her, telling her she can speak freely with him as if he was her father. Mari sighs and starts to talk, she first wants Augi to know there is nothing going on between her and Jesus (well, not since like two days ago…) but she doesn’t get any further than that as Augi is alerted that the furniture delivery truck is there to return all his purchases. Lupe even came with the truck and Augi goes outside to confront her, he claims it’s a gift for Mariluz but Lupe says Mari doesn’t need Augi because she’s got her and while she’s alive Mari will not want for anything. She tells Augi not to feel like he’s, her father!!! Lol I think she should have accepted and thought of it as back child support.

Sam is a man on a mission. He runs into Selena but he doesn’t even slow down. She asks over and over what’s wrong but he says ‘nothing’ and says nothing else. Sam storms right into the wrestling ring and tells the trainer he’s here to fight. It takes a minute but the dude remembers and asks Sam if he wants to try out. Sam says yes and a guy comes at him, he flips him back and the dude hits the ground hard. Clueless Sam asks if that was enough or should he hit harder. The trainer says it was fine, he has a good future ahead of him. Sam walks over to make sure the dude he flipped is okay. Selena looks a little confused but cautiously optimistic about this new development.

Jesus calls Mariluz and she wants to rehash this conversation as much as I want to re-listen to it. Jesus wants to apologize that Mari had to hear them talking that morning and he doesn’t want to say goodbye but Mari says they already said goodbye! Jesus shouldn’t call her again. Very soon he’ll be married and she’ll have to forget about him! Jesus says again that he loves her and he’ll always love her and where ever he is he’ll be thinking of her and the memory of her will get him through…. sigh, but not from contentment, from being tired of hearing Jesus’s broken record.

Darcy, thanks for a snappy recap of another busy episode. Our show is moving right along.

I thought we might learn the true relationship between Elisa and Opera Man, but they are still keeping that under wraps. He certainly cares about her safety and worries about her.

Darcy, I’m so glad you brought up Chucho’s Zorro mask. He wore it well indeed, and that observation was inexplicably left out of my Friday recap. I yelped when Valero told Jesús EXACTLY what you commented: nowadays marrying for the sake of the kid is absurd.

Not only do we not know Elisa & Opera Man’s relationship details, we also don’t know their location. If I didn’t know any better, I’d guess they were in the Werk Room of RuPaul’s Drag race with the arsenal wigs laying about. Is she ditching the scarves for wigs moving forward?

We could have made it to the finale without seeing fake Daddy Celestino looking extra-creepy/cheesy in Mari’s keepsakes.

I like how Domi was livid about Damián’s extra customer service with Bri. Perhaps another result of their gaping age difference.

The Vicky/Augi/Fede triangle is just downright bizarre. Who knew she was quite the seductress? I like how all hell broke loose regarding her inheritance and we learned more deets about her father. Steve Boudreaux, I hope you’re updating the body count.

Story arcs that are running on empty: Honest Emma’s Drinka-Palooza tour. Jesús doing the right thing. Guadaloopy being too proud to accept Augi’s help. Laura playing dumb despite being on the way to becoming Mexico’s Next Top Lawyer. Really??!

By the by, Belén’s burgeoning puppy love is with Gus, Adrian’s longtime confidante.

The revelation of the knife’s ownership was intriguing. Augi brought a knife and a gun to a document signing. How richly villainous.

I was surprised Olivia was exposed so quickly. Vicky throwing her under the bus was shameless.

I rolled my eyes @ Damián catching Sam & Doménica (only) hugging. They made up for it by triggering Sam to take a chance on wrestling/fighting/boxing. Bonus points for them pronouncing Palazzo with such flair.

Hopefully the broken record finds the groove in the upcoming episodes. Here’s hoping.

O.S., I loved ‘Augi brought a gun and a knife to a document signing!’ Lol so true!!! Thank you for filing in Gus’s name!!! I racked my brain but couldn’t remember! I think I have too much going on, information overload! I was thinking yesterday that when you get him going Jesus talks almost as much as Villalba! I have decided that I just don’t like this character! I have seen the actor in several other roles and liked him just fine so it’s got to be the character that is so unlikable.

But we have Sami and Valero, we have Domi and Damian and even Carloca to entertain us so we are good! I agree Damian getting so upset about a hug was eye roll inducing!!
 

Guerrero. Another superb, incredibly detailed recap, Darcy! So the Guerreros easily escape Augi's ambush. Is this novela predictable or what? All the tn tropes (or topoi if you're really into theory). And now we know why Augi is after Elisa--she witnessed Augi's murder of Vicki's father. He's even more evil than we thought. I wonder what will happen within the next 2 weeks to possibly derail Carlota's wedding. Or will it happen? Viewerville wants to know. Emma is very messed up--but with a mother like Vicki it's surprising it's not even worse. Good comment on the furniture as back child support, Darcy!

SpanProf, you are definitely right about all the tropes! We should have played Bingo with this one, someone would have Bingo'd by like episode 5! It's entertaining though, and now Sam is going to be a wrestler!! That outta be fun....Two weeks till the wedding, I hadn't thought much about that I was too distracted wondering how many near misses we are going to get with Elisa and the boys, hmm....wedding or no wedding? What do we think? I kind of think the wedding is going to happen since we are only 1/2 way through, plenty of time for a divorce.
 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 60 – Part 1 of 5

Adrian is at the skatepark with Gus and they have talked about Emma. Gus is relieved to find out Adrian didn’t cheat on Emma. He says he never doubted Adrian but he had to ask and confirm it and Adrian says he better. I suppose this is a PSA for actually communicating with your friends before jumping to conclusions…they should have filmed it for Insta several characters on this show could use that PSA. That issue resolved, Gus gets nervous, he has to tell Adrian something. He doesn’t know where it came from but lately, he’s been feeling an attraction to Belen! Adrian is immediately supportive and asks if Belen knows. Gus says not yet, but he’s hopeful because he thinks the feeling is mutual! The friends celebrate this too and then Gus is off to skate.

Belen is at Emma’s house for her visit to cheer her up, and Mica goes to tell Em that Belen is there. Laura shows up too and Belen is immediately defensive with her asking what she’s doing there! Hasn’t she done enough harm? Laura says she came to clear the air with Emma and tell her that she kissed Adrian without him being aware of it. Belen wonders what Laura has to gain from that and she says Adrian’s friendship. Belen says both of them are her friends and no one messes with her friends. Laura doesn’t look intimidated and Mica returns to inform Belen that Emma isn’t there and she’s in trouble with Mica too, because she didn’t have permission to leave. Belen has the quick idea to check social media and quickly learns Emma is at a party! Mica is annoyed all over again and Belen and Laura head out together to look for Em.

Sam is flying around the ring like tag team wrestler with no partner to tag and he wins against all the challengers. The owner of the ring wants to know where Sam learned to fight and he just says Valero! LOL Selena is super excited about Sam’s success!! Sam is talking with the owner of the wrestling club while five guys lay on the mat!! LOL Wrestling guy says Sam will fight tonight and if he wins, he’ll get a contract! And that will change my life? Sam asks. Of course, the guy says, if you keep winning, I’ll make you famous! You’ll win lots of money and everyone will be very proud of you! Are you in? This is all Sam needs to hear and he’s all in!!

Emma is at the party actually trying to make up with Renata!! I’ll give her a little bit of grace, since she’s clearly drunk but only a little. Rodrigo comes up and says the only reason Em is there is because Adrian cheated on her and Renata giggles gleefully. Em just decides it’s time to update her stories! She goes Insta-live and says she’s there with Rodrigo and she’s been upset to learn her boyfriend isn’t who she thought he was! But oh well, she doesn’t need him. So, Adrian, go to hell! She kisses Rod right there on live and right in time for Belen and Laura to walk up and see it!

Villa arrives to see Don Augusto! He gives Mica his full name but I don’t feel like typing it. Villa tries out his long winded speech on Augi and I was watching closely to see if the actor would be holding back laughter but he remained stone faced. Villa’s speech was all about leaving Lupe alone I’m sure but I was more interested in the body language during this scene than the actual words. These two stare each other down with big bug eyes, each daring the other to blink first! Augi’s turn is next and he says no one threatens him. Villa says he isn’t threatening, just advising. This devolves into Augi insulting Villa and saying he’ll never be man enough for a woman like Lupe and Villa rebutting with whatever it is he says when he’s talking – which is always. Like I said, I was too busy looking for signs that these actors were actually enjoying their show down. They both stayed in character.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 60 – Part 2 of 5

Emma notices Belen and greets her happily, asking if she wants something to drink. She’s not going to abandon her like everyone, is she? Belen says this isn’t cool Emma, you shouldn’t be drinking. Belen tries to drag her out of the party and Emma starts to go but then she notices Laura and reacts badly. She demands to know why Belen is there with Laura and Belen basically tells Emma to pipe down, Laura is only there to tell her what happened. Let’s go, Belen repeats. Emma says she isn’t going anywhere! She’s staying here with her friends! And what great friends they are, Belen counters making Emma hesitate slightly. Belen says she’ll leave her there with her friends since it’s obvious Emma doesn’t value her. She turns to Laura and says let’s go, they start to walk off but Emma only waits half a beat before calling after Belen, telling her to wait, she’ll go with her. Belen takes the drink out of Emma’s hand and helps drunk Emma climb the stairs. Laura looks more bored than anything.

Villa and Augi are still trading dirty looks and words, it’s kind of amusing watching them but this confrontation is ridiculous. Augi gets all threatening at the end and tells Villa he shouldn’t provoke him because he can make his life hell and I’m again wondering why so many people are convinced that Augi is such a good man when he has no problem openly threatening anyone at any time. Mica, who seems a good hearted person, isn’t appalled but merely apologetic and pleading in begging Villa on the way out to not coming looking for Augi again. Villa goes on another rant about how he’s going to be like Don Quixote and fight for the woman he loves! SMH His facial expressions were funny though, and I’m sure if Mica was smiling out of pity or just trying not to laugh.

Carloca is talking wedding details and Jesus is ignoring her. He says he has too much work to do right now to discuss this. Carloca wants to know who is going on his guest list! His family, friends, etc. Jesus has no family other than his brothers he distractedly says. This makes Carloca realize it’s weird that she’s never met any of Jesus’s other relatives or friends. Jesus doesn’t think that’s important but Carloca says it obviously is! They are going to be married.

Briana and Vicky sit talking about Bri’s dress and how they have similar tastes!!! I just can’t… Bri came to see Domi but since she’s out doing actual work the two ladies are chatting instead. Vicky wants Briana to help Domi find a guy who is on their social level so she’ll forget about others who are unworthy. Augi comes and breaks up this hen party and Briana quickly excuses herself. Vicky tells Augi about the plan to find Domi a worthy boyfriend but Augi says to leave Domi alone. He instead lays into Vicky about the great document search and they have the same old argument about Vicky wanting to manage her own money vs. Vicky’s father ‘left’ Augi in charge of managing it. This ends as well as it always does.

Jesus tells Carloca that neither his dad nor mom had any siblings so he has no aunts, uncles, or cousins. I wondered for a second if this was true then remembered Adrian and Emilia and realized it was a lie. Doesn’t Carloca know that Adrian is his cousin? Emma does. Carloca tells Jesus to think hard and Jesus says he’ll help with everything just as soon as he finishes the work he’s doing for Augi. Carloca asks if he’s been to city hall yet and he says no. Frustrated, Carloca says she’ll take care of it but Jesus counters with he hadn’t gone because they just set the wedding date – he’ll take care of it! Jesus’s phone rings and it’s a supplier, he has to take the call. Left alone, Carloca takes manners into her own hands and takes Jesus’ license out of his wallet, moment of suspense but the license says Guerrero!

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 60 – Part 3 of 5

Domi and Damian are sitting down to tea/coffee together but Domi makes it clear that she’s only there because she wanted to avoid Damian making a scene in front of the kids. How could Damian argue with her in front of them? Damian apologizes and says he lost his head when he saw her in Sam’s arms, they both know how Sam feels about her. How does Domi expect him to react? Domi says like a friend or any other random person on the street, we aren’t together anymore, remember? Damian tells Domi to stop with all of that, she is his woman and he’s in love with her. He’s not breaking up with her, he’s just asking for time! Yeah, Domi says time to look for other women (she gives him a thumbs up sign! Lol) Damian says not other women, just one woman! Even better, Domi declares! Damian says he needs her because his heart feels incomplete without her. This is just sounding better and better to Domi but Damian says he wants to tell her more because he wants to be completely honest with her but he needs her to keep it a secret between them. Domi inexplicably agrees that Damian can count on her and Damian tells her the woman that is causing her so much doubt is his mother!

Damian goes on and tells Domi that he doesn’t know much about his mom, he does know she’s a painter like him. Domi wonders why all the mystery, what is it with their childhood? Damian responds by telling her that he himself doesn’t know, he doesn’t know if it’s because mom wanted to leave or if something was keeping her from them; all he really knows is she disappeared one day and he hasn’t seen her since. Domi holds Damian’s hand and tells him how sorry she is for what he went through and no wonder he doesn’t feel complete. Domi now feels so bad (which is total BS because Damian could have told her the truth from the jump, she’s not responsible for information she didn’t have) she feels terrible for believing the worse and she admits she was dying of jealousy. Domi says there are some women who are willing to do anything when they like a man (is she thinking of Briana?) and Damian says men can always say no! He wants Domi to trust him, he needs to resolve some things in his past and there are some things he can’t tell her yet, but he doesn’t want her to suffer and he doesn’t want to hurt her. He loves her! Don’t forget that, he implores and Domi responds that she too adores him but she doesn’t want him to hide things from her and she wants to feel like she’s the only woman in his life. She doesn’t want to be distant from him and she’ll help him in any way she can.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 60 – Part 4 of 5

Emma is back home and Mica is giving her a shot and lecturing her on taking care of herself. Belen also gets a voice message from Gus saying Adrian is still crazy about Emma and he didn’t want to kiss Laura. Emma catches it as Laura eyes pictures of her and Adrian and says yes, we were very happy until you destroyed our relationship. Laura reluctantly admits Emma can make up with Adrian because she was the one who kissed Adrian without his permission. Laura admits she feels something for Adrian and couldn’t resist but it was a mistake. Emma wonders why she should believe her and Belen says because it's the truth. Belen reminds Emma that she always tells her the truth. Like Emma, Belen too thought Adrian was guilty, but Gus talked to him and Adrian told him the same story. Gus is Adrian’s best friend; he doesn’t lie to him. Emma tries to protest more but Belen tells her to drop the drama, Adrian has never loved anyone the way he loves Emma. This gets Emma’s attention, but now she has another problem! The video with Rodrigo!!! Adrian can’t see that.

Speaking of Adrian, he’s restless because Emma hasn’t contacted him yet…

Selena and Sam are returning home and Selena is fussing over the bruises the guys left on Sam?? I don’t see any bruises, but I’ll take her word for it. Sam is excited and he wants to surprise everyone. He wants to be someone Jesus can be proud of! Someone important! Selena says if they are going to keep it a secret than she’ll need to doctor his wounds. Sam says okay, we’ll go inside and you can do whatever, LOL. The less pleasant news, is that Fede is watching them!!

Adrian continues to wait by reading another of Mommy’s letters. She talks all about being separated from Adrian and how cruel it is that they were separated. Adrian needs her and she needs him. She promises she’ll keep fighting for Adrian no matter what torture they put her through. (It occurred to me while watching this that Fede is probably not Adrian’s dad because Emilia is writing to Fede but she keeps saying ‘my son’ if Adrian were Fede’s she’d probably say ‘our son’)

Damian is in the shower and is thinking back on his conversation with Domi along with other moments they’ve shared. This took awhile I guess because his memories are interrupted by Valero complaining that Damian’s been in the shower for half an hour. These two have a good natured bickering session that ends with Damian spraying his cologne on Valero and Sam sneaking up and picking of Valero and carrying him into the bathroom! I laughed and thought this was just a weird Sam and Valero joke but it turned out Sam wanted to let Valero in on his secret so he carried him into the bathroom for a private talk. He doesn’t want Valero to tell anyone it’s a secret! He needs a mask and an outfit I think, and a cape of course! This does have some of the Sam and Valero flare as Valero continuously answers with loud excitement and Sam has to keep telling him to quiet down.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 60 – Part 5 of 5

Emma is still freaking about what to do since she can’t delete the Rod video because he reposted it. Laura is bored and her work is done here, she leaves. Emma is coming up with all kinds of schemes for how to get Adrian’s phone and I actually like Belen when she stops Emma in her tracks and says she has to tell Adrian the truth. Emma is her friend but so is Adrian and she isn’t going to help Em deceive him.

Jesus is cleaning up daddy’s grave, and talking about the grandchild to come and his unfortunate loveless future marriage, but he’s going to take care of his child no matter what, he’s going to take care of him just like he knows Octavio would have taken care of them if he’d lived. That is, if Augusto hadn’t murdered him.

Mari is explaining some new system to Augi. I don’t speak finance and I don’t want to; I’m sure the point is Mari is wonderful at her job and Augi is so lucky to have her! He knew he would be since the day she defended the Finca. Speaking of the Finca, Mari is curious if Augi knows what happened to Octavio Sanchez’s sons, she used to be very good friends with the oldest boy. Augi claims he has no knowledge of them and changes the subject to why Lupe’s restaurant can’t be opened. I didn’t understand this exactly either but it has something to do with something being damaged in the fire? Please add if you can. This leads to another loan offer from Augi but Mari refuses, she isn’t going to accept money she hasn’t earned with her own two hands. Augi decides to respect this and tells Mari again she’s doing an excellent job.

Jesus is still talking to dad and assuring him his child will know all about him because he’ll tell him about him everyday and grandma too, because he knows she’s nearby! He’s right too, because Elisa has just arrived, she feels drawn here right now for some reason. But just as Jesus is promising Dad, he’ll find her somehow, a graveyard employee is telling Elisa she can’t come in because they are closing. Elisa looks to the grave and sees Jesus. ‘My Son!!!’ She begs and begs but isn’t given entrance and Jesus goes to leave by the opposite exit. Elisa and Santi rush there but traffic of course prevents their reunion. Elisa finally gets into the graveyard but Jesus is gone! Elisa just yells out ‘Hijo!’ and ‘Come Back’, she should have yelled out ‘Lisardo’ or any one of her sons’ names before Jesus left the grave and got his attention, but we can’t have any easy reunions of course. After giving up, Elisa sits crying at the grave telling Octavio how she couldn’t catch up to him! Which one was it? She asks Octavio… she goes through the qualities of each son and each possibility as her tears continue to flow and she laments that she couldn’t catch up to him. Finally, he frustration she calls out to God. Help me, please! Help me find them!!!

Darcy, thanks for a great recap of a rather joyless episode.

I think the MVP was Laura who was visibly over all the tropes and teenage drama. Comic relief came from Sam who decimated the wrestling ring - leaving all competitors writhing in defeat. Who knew Valero was such a competent trainer?!

Sir-Talks-A-Lot & Augi did not break character despite their stand-off being utterly preposterous.

The makeup department failed because both Selena & Valero commented on how banged up Sam was. No bruises were visible from the patio.

I liked your “My son” vs. “Our son” observation. I still love her penmanship and want more clues!

The constant missing each other is getting stale. Are cemeteries really sticklers for closing hours and crowd control? It’s not like they were at a bar at 2:OO AM.

Earlier I commented that our little show was moving right, and I think I may have jinxed it. A lot of this hour was just characters spinning their wheels, quoting Don Quixote, etc. I hope things pick up.
 

Guerrero. Another excellent recap, Darcy! Gus and Belen. So sweet! I too wonder what Laura has to gain. Hmm. Maybe waiting for Emma to crash completely? Yuck! Kissing the creepy Rodrigo. Damian is so foolishly jealous regarding Domi. He might consider growing up. Oh dear! Complications because of Emma's video with Rodrigo. Sigh! Belen is so right that the best course is complete honesty. And a lot of silly (but sad) "yo por vos, vos por otro" here. And of course the cemetery closes just before Elisa is about to meet Jesus. When the writers got halfway through this tn, did they sit down and try to think up other "creative" ways Elisa could stay separated from her sons?

Thank you O.S. and SpanProf! It was a non-eventual episode mostly but I'm hopeful that we will have more action soon! We do have a novela wedding coming up, those are usually fun!!

I watched yesterday but I had a super busy day and didn’t take any notes and I don’t remember much. The only things that stood out were: Sam’s wrestling debut went well, Damian got another blurry picture of mom and possibly her address, Jesus was planning on using a buddy to get his marriage license to get around his fake ID issue but Carloca has taken his license unbeknownst to him and is at the courthouse filing the paperwork!
 

Guerrero. All the highlights, Darcy! I wonder if a wedding involving Carlota would be fun--or just stressful. :)
