Hi everyone!

Does anyone know if there's something ending in Daytime? I'm looking forward to Mi Secreto and I want to see if it'll go to Daytime or Primetime later on.

Thanks!

OT

Weirdo, I actually think several of the Unimas shows are getting close to ending but I doubt that Mi Secreto will go to Unimas. There are only two daytime novelas on Univision and Ringo just started a couple weeks ago and Corazón Guerrero is only about half over so my guess is there won’t be any changes in Univision’s daytime lineup anytime soon. One semi-reliable way to tell is the Wikipedia page ‘List of programs broadcast by Univision’ it shows current programming and then below that it has a spot for upcoming programming when something is expected to start soon. The column is not there when there are no shows starting soon. Nothing is showing right now. It is usually pretty reliable though and usually shows up at least a couple weeks in advance.

Corazon Guerrero

Recap will be ready tomorrow morning, in time for your coffee (most likely).

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 61 - Part 1 of 3

We begin with Elisa @ Octavio’s graveside begging anyone who will listen and hasn’t been kicked out of the cemetery to HELP HER FIND HER SONS!!!

For the umpteenth time Jesús replays his breakup with Mariluz and Las García hug and love each other and Mari urges the rest not to hate on Jesús.

Formerly Honest Emma & Adrián are in his shack - reconciling when she clumsily tries to steal his phone (to delete the incriminating Rod video). Smooth criminal she isn’t. He demands to know what gives.

Valero & Selena are ringside at Sam’s wrestling debut. Selena is nervous that Sam may not understand his (fighting) roll. Valero reassures sure they’ve had deep philosophical talks which amount to “Samuelín, you have to win!” Selena looks unsure of it all. The announcer whips the crowd into a frenzy and announces the wrestling champion: The Purple Iguana (TPI). The crowd boos and TPI leaps into the ring acrobatically turning multiple flips and flexing. Unimpressed, Valero tells Selena he can’t wait for her check out the costume they’ve designed. She doesn’t care about any of that. She wants Sam safe and can’t believe Valero allowed him to do this. Valero tells her to trust Sam’s steel cuffs. She’ll see!

Now it’s time for Sam’s debut of Captain Justice!!! CJ enters the ring in a classic blue mask, shimmery blue cape, and matching wrestling pants. He gives his cape to Valero and meets TPI & the ref mid-ring for instructions. Ref only wants a clean fight and good snow for the crowd. They’re off! After a little dance around the ring TPI has CJ in a classic wrestling hold, but Sam so won’t give up.

Ugh. Back to Adrián & Emma. “Why’d you take my phone?” “I kissed Rodrigo.” “Why don’t you trust me?” “Why don’t you trust ME?” “What’s in those letters!??”

Ok. Back to the real action. CJ has the upper hand and is now Sam-handling TPI all over the ring. He asks Valero if he’s doing ok, and Valero cheers him on.

Ugh. Back to (elder) Las García and their endless Tell Mari/Don’t Tell Mari debate. Mica bursts in with some hot gossip! Sir Talks-A-Lot really put his head in the lion’s mouth by giving Augi the business about Lupe. Lupe clutches her pearls.

Augi’s in bed with an AARP representative…Oh wait. It’s Bri!!! Honest mistake. She’s cooing about how pitiful Patricio is. Augi’s lapping it up like Ensure®️. They are hatching the master plan for his candidacy. Pat can know nothing of their affair. Pat knows Bri and Dom are friends and would never suspect a thing.

Adrián cannot reveal the contents of the letters to our fledgling pickpocket. She can’t be with him if he can’t tell the truth. Nobody has ever been honest with her except him. Now he can’t be honest? She begs. He won’t budge. They break up. He’ll keep his distance and no longer hurt her.

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 61 - Part 2 of 3

Mica is reenacting the stand-off. Villalba was a total gentleman. They should have seen him. Chest out. Very brave. No ounce of fear. All for his Lil Bit O’ Sugar (Lupe)!!! LOL Lupe says she is nobody’s Bit O’ Sugar. Mics says he said Dulcenea (sweetheart). Lupe clarifies that much of Villalba’s verbal diarrhea can be traced back to a book he just lent her, Don Quijote de la Mancha. Conchita loves Augi, but is proud of Villalba for standing up and says that is love! Mari comes in and the sewing circle closes.

Back in the ring, The Purple Iguana is no match for Captain Justice. CJ pins and wins. The crowd goes bonkers.

Domi is beating herself up in her bedroom for not trusting Damián. He creepily appears from the window. “What are you doing here?” “What do you think?” Passion ensues horizontally.

Sam (cape, no mask), Selena, and Valero are meeting with Palazzo. It is suggested Sam further study the rules of wrestling. He’s good, and he was born to wrestle. Sam only wants to know if the crowd liked him. Palazzo offers him quick fame & fortune - if he signs the contract. Valero quickly grabs the contract and offers to review it. Beto Palazzo exits stage left like a one a spicy a stereotype - speaking Italian gibberish. Valero asks Sam if he wants to sign. Sam says don’t call him Sam; from now on, he’s CAPTAIN JUSTICÍA!

Jesús, Damián, and Valero are having breakfast at home. They want to discuss how Jesus is going to get away with the wedding paperwork, i.e., false identification. Jesús knows somebody on the inside who can make it happen. Damián and Valero wonder how Jesús has such contacts and admit they really know nothing about him since he bought the garage. How does he just so happen to resolve EVERYTHING so quickly and nicely (these are great questions-LOL)??? Jesús doesn’t answer. He tells Damián to worry about more important things and Valero to quit being so nosey.

Mariluz is in charge of enforcing Augi’s Do Not Disturb order. Carloca tries to enter his office. They have a standoff. Carloca insults and tries to throw her name/weight around. Mari stands her ground. Augi appears and restores order by being quite stern with his oldest daughter. She is not to bother Mariluz or interfere with her work duties. Uh oh.

Away from Mariluz, Augi begs Carloca to show some respect. Carloca looks at him like he’s asking her to lick her own elbow. Priceless! All she wants is a ride to the courthouse to file her paperwork. All HE wants is for her to focus on stuff like this (and not Mari) and SMILE.

Domi calls Bri and apologizes for missing her. She wants to do breakfast, but Bri already has plans and needs to borrow her car (?!?). Dom says sure, come get it., but wasn’t Bri going with her man? Bri says yes, but they’re arriving separately. Dom wants to know if it’s the same man. Bri says it’s another man and is unapologetic about playing the field with handsome men.

Attempted Purloiner Emma is alone. Again. This time she’s in the kitchen. She nicks a bottle of hooch from the cabinet and is about to go to town, but Carloca comes in. Carloca encourages her to drink and pours two big shots for the sisters to toast. What the what?!?

Mica & Lupe go Villalba’s lair to discuss the incident with Augi. He stops exercising. 78 words later we learn he’s training for a battle with Augi. Lupe is not having it. She harshly demands him to stay out of it.

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 61 - Part 3 of 3

Valero & Samuel have used some miracle cream to hide the swelling from wrestling. Valero excitedly calls Sam “Mi Capi!” Sam reminds him that in the garage he is “Samuel!” LOL Damián comes in and asks Sam why Doménica thinks he is seeing someone else based on something Sam told her. Sam defends himself, judges Bri, and says he is no snitch. Damián assures him nothing is going on. This back and forth is very well written and acted as it fleshes out the fraternal tension regarding Doménica. It culminates with Damián declaring he would die for her while Sam says he’s dying. Sam knows they love each other and have chosen each other yet he would still do anything to make her happy. Damián says he will too. Don Abel walks in. There’s a call from from a hotel in Morelia with information on Elisa Corso. They scurry to the phone.

Elisa & Opera Man are doing their usual refrain. He points out that the only place they’ve had any real clue is in Morelia (when Lisardo called the police on Augi). They searched every hotel, but there are other places. Could they be back there? Perhaps they are looking for her? She begs him to return to Morelia.

Damián has convinced the hotel where Elisa stayed to send him a copy of her ID. They send the image of her faculty badge. The picture isn’t clear but it does have an address.

Doménica breaks up the Oddball/Black Sheep drinking fest about to go down in the Ruíz Montalvo kitchen. She gives Emma a pep talk. Carloca rolls her eyes. She puts the glass to her lips, but they never show her actually drink. When the sisters start hugging, Carlota leaves the kitchen (with her glass!).

It takes Villalba 17 words to agree to back off. He takes his leave. Mica tells Lupe she was very hard on him. Lupe says she couldn’t live with herself if something happened to Villalba. Then she basically swears off all men. Mica would like to fall in love someday. She’s only seen it on the telenovelas. Lupe says Mica could fall in love if she she’d just get away from the Ruíz Montalvo. She wants to see her happy. Mica vows to fall in love then immediately flirts with the next passers-by. LOL

At her studio Selena is busting some real hot dance moves in 8Os print spandex that would make David Lee Roth proud. Fede bursts in and wants updates on the slow mechanic. She says there’s nothing to report; the guys are straight. Fede NEEDS info; otherwise her brother (who’s in prison) may lose his protection. Note: if we get to meet Selena’s brother, his name better be Abraham III.

Mari is working diligently when Jesús comes by singing his same old song. Fede saves the day by summoning him to sign some agreements. He will also need his ID. He goes to his wallet and his ID is nowhere to be found.

Sam is doing pull-ups in the garage when Doménica comes in looking for Damián. Sam says he left and he doesn’t know where. Doménica needs a ride to do project business. Sam will take her; he has the keys to Jesús’s truck.

Fede congratulates Jesús on joining the family and let’s him know his bride-to-be is taking care of wedding business. Jesús bolts!

At a courthouse window, Carloca is sweet talking a clerk into fast-tracking her 15-day-ahead wedding paperwork. She can be so charming.

Sam and Doménica are seated at a restaurant. They look over and see Bri. Domís thinks maybe she’ll finally see Bri’s man! Uh oh. Sam sweetly says it isn’t Damián cuz he only has eyes for her (LOL)! She knows. Maybe she should surprise her; for some reason Bri doesn’t want her to meet him. Augi approaches Bri’s table and grabs her hand. Sam thinks they should leave. Doménica asks if Bri’s date is “MI PAPÁ!”

FIN

Corazon Guerrero Capitulo 62
Part 1 of 2

Domenica and Sam are having lunch when they see Briana at another table. Should Dome go say hi? Oh, wait, here comes Augie! Why are they together, since Briana was supposed to go see her novio? Before she can go check it out, Patricio arrives, too, so Dome thinks Briana and him got back together. She feels very bad for what she “almost” imagined and wants to leave immediately. She now thinks Briana is only supporting her father, because she believe in him.

Jesus manages to get his papers back before Carlota can file them. He wants to be the one in charge with the paperwork, all she needs to do is take care of the baby. Carlota is touched by his care, such a lucky lady that she is.

Conchita and Abel on an orange juice date… I don’t have the time for elderly love (no offence, by I barely have the patience for young love in this novela).

Fede gives Mari some important files to give to Augie. Carlota overhears and then calls her dad’s phone so she can get Mari away for a bit. When Mari goes to answer the phone, she spills coffee on the very important documents. Then she accuses Mari of wanting to steal both papa and her novio. But no way, she will not give her one moment of peace while she is in the house. Fede comes back and sees the wet papers, Mari says she already left the originals at Augie’s desk, these were only copies.

Augie is playing the principled man with Patricio, he would never be as low as to send spoiled milk to those poor folks. He lays it on really thick, with Briana’s help, since she loves him like a father the little darling. They could never find a better candidate! Patricio agrees, their investigation proved that he is innocent.

Abel and Jesus talk about Carlota. He has to be there for her, for his child. Damian arrives with news about the photo they’ve been waiting for. It’s not that clear, they are not sure it will help them, but it’s definitely the Elisa we know. Damian plans to go back to Morelia, continue his investigation. Jesus would like to go, too, but Damian would rather he stayed home and get as much info out of Augie as he possibly can.

Elisa is still thinking about her sons – now wonders what Octavio might have told them about her abandonment. But he didn’t know the truth, either. And Augie is the one to blame for everything, he forced her to leave.

Fede, Jesus and Augie talk business, when Augie gets a call from an unknown number: someone threatening him to give up his candidacy, or else! He quickly finishes his meeting with the guys, he wants to be alone.
Jesus and Fede are not working well together (obviously), it’s turning into a spitting contest (of the stupidest).

Adrian is sad over the state of his relationship with Ema. Jesus understands him, he lost the love of his life, too. Ema is sad, too, Belen convinces her to eat together. PSA about pollution.

Vicky gets into it with Mari over nothing, Augie arrives in time for his wife’s accusation that he is always helping the Garcia women.

Corazon Guerrero Capitulo 62
Part 2 of 2

Mari overhears Jesus and Carlota talk about their wedding, he only came because he thought she wasn’t feeling well, he is busy, he doesn’t have the time to talk now. He leaves in a hurry after Mari, she asks him to stay away from her. She doesn’t need an explanation every time she sees them together, he just needs to leave her alone.

Carlota goes back to her room to whine to her mirror image about that maldita florista. She has a vision of a badly injured Iker, who doesn’t speak, but points out to her belly. Carlota asks him to go away, she will be very happy, and Jesus will be a good dad. Then she goes to see Jesus, who has to reassure her again… and it’s rince and repeat, can we be done with this?
No, we can’t because Mari has arrived home to eat, but isn’t feeling that great. She starts crying, Conchita tries to comfort her, asks her to think about her work. Mari wants to do right by Augie, but how can she focus on the job when she sees Jesus all the time. What to do, what to do? Conchita has the solution: hands her a necklace, it will help you forget this love. Be strong, you are a Garcia, you can’t allow this man to ruin your life. Basically, fake it till you make it. And yes, you can! I’m sure Mari is all set now.
Vic is back from shopping, Fede would like to see her tonight. Vic only wants to know if he found a way to help her get her inheritance back. No money, no nookie.

Domenica encourages Ema to use her social media platform to share her worry about pollution with her followers. Not much of an influencers if she needed her sister to point out the obvious.

Adrian is reading his mom’s letter to the hombre oscuro with a black butterfly tattoo, the man who abused her. He tells his cousins about it: Federico is a son of a bitch! They ask him to think about his future. They’ve all had difficult lives, but now they are together, they are a family. Sure, they are seeking justice, but the present is more important. And now he has the opportunity to study, make something out of his life.

Fede has come to see Selena, he’s in “the mood”, she tries to resist, cries… finally goes into the bedroom.

Mari is getting back to work, looking longingly towards the mechanic shop, then running into Domenica and Ema. She and Dome start talking about Sam and how amazing he is. Mari wonders if she is not falling in love with him, too. Dome says that she does love him as a friend. Carlota arrives to accuse them of trying to steal her baby. WTF! She goes into one of her usual rants in time for Augie to hear her. She asks her dad to protect her, Domenica explains they didn’t even tell her a word. Augie understands, tries to get Carlota to relax. She doesn’t want to take her medicine again, she is afraid it might hurt the baby. He wants to go see the doctor, ask for her opinion. Carlota would rather they only call, Augie insists they will go together.
Instead of minding her own business, Mari brings Carlota a tea, which Carlota spills, and then breaks the cup.

Jesus shows his brothers a toy horse they used to play with, their dad had done it for them. He found it in their home when he was at the ranch, he wants to give it to his son. Who will be the one to see the toy first and recognize it as the exact same toy the Sanchez boys used to play with 30 years ago, Elisa or Mari?

Guerrero

I was expecting a recap with coffee and I got surprised by two!!! Thank you O.S. for recapping Wednesday's episode and surprising us with it! I especially appreciate your describing the wrestling match! I was very distracted in that scene wondering if it was a body double in the Captain Justice costume (I decided yes) and I missed the whole Valero/Selena discussion. I love 'you gotta win, Samulin!' LOL

Oh no, Adrian got the 'Guerrero' gene for being pointlessly evasive with the one he supposedly loves...sigh! I mean I realize he can't tell Emma he stole the letters from Fede and his mom was writing to him while she was in a loony bin, etc etc etc; but what's wrong with telling her he received some of his mother's possessions from before she died and he's been reading some of her old letters?? He can tell her enough of the truth so she understands without telling her every detail. She already knows he was orphaned there's no reason I can think of why he can't tell her something about the letters.

But oh well, an endless loop of pointless over dramatic secrets is what the writers want so that's what we shall have... lol

Guerrero

Thank you Adriana! I did get your always witty recap with my coffee and I so appreciate you for hanging in here with me even though this isn't your favorite show ever! :)

Fede's scene with Selena turned my stomach. I guess we know he's a heartless thug but he's so sidelined and overshadowed by Augi most of the time that I almost forget he's evil...he seems more like Vicky's domesticated pet most days. What he did with Selena only has one word - rape. And he was heartlessly indifferent to her cries!

One clarification about the letters. Adrian's mom was writing to Fede but she didn't know who raped her. So chillingly she was writing to her rapist about her rapist without knowing it, scary. We see the tattoo on Fede so we can conclude (unless there's more than one tattoo in our cast) but Adrian's mom seemed to think Fede was her friend, unless the letters were also to someone else and the hospital staff was just giving them to Augi/Fede instead of the recipient...either way, I don't think Adrian knows from reading it who the rapist is so we'll still have the dramatic he sees the tattoo moment at some point. It's odd to me that Jesus is so focused on his revenge but anytime Adrian wants to know more about his mom he tells Adrian to focus on the present.

Good call about the who will recognize the toy horse first!!! I didn't even think of that. I was too distracted by the fact that Sam actually remembered something from their childhood. He has consistently been the only one to remember nothing and been sad about remembering nothing but he remembered the horse so I was happy for him!

Thanks again Amiga! I hope work is going better this week!

OT

Darcy, thanks a lot for your quick answer! I'll definitely check the Wikipedia page out! Thanks again!

Guerrero. Yep, a 2-fer! Thanks, O.S. and Adriana! O.S.: I am amazed that every Spanish-speaking person doesn't read Don Quijote in high school! The best classic in all of literature (and since I was a romance of chivalry specialist, I get all the jokes.). Adriana: Whew! Jesus gets his papers back before he can be exposed. Of course. And no doubt d. Abel will come up with some convincing forgeries again. Carlota is getting scarily crazy, as you note, Adriana. Off her meds to protect the baby, which I can understand. The colmo was her hallucinating Iker. Good thing Augi insisted she see the doctor. Wonderful PSA about climate change. Emma and Domi are 2 very well-organized, :public-service oriented young women. Domenica, with the garden she's creating at the orphanage with the help of Sam and the orphans, with Sam teaching them gardening technique, and Emma starting a climate protection group (which may save her sanity). Amazing, given the parents they have. And Fede is an absolute rapist, though I agree that he is probably not Adrian's father.

Guerrero. Excellent advice that Valero and Adrian's 3 cousins, though, that if Fede is his father, it shouldn't influence the type of person he is.

Guerrero. advice that Valero and his 3 cousins gave Adrian, that is. And Fede or some other abusive rapist.

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 63 - Part 1 of 3

Mica comes a-knocking @ Las García. Lupe is disappointed it isn’t Villalba. Mica & Conchita say this is proof she really cares about him.

Augi asks Mari for total discretion regarding Carloca’s recent antics. Augi says Carloca’s best medicine will be the baby & her love for Jesús. Will Mari help keep harmony? She agrees. Next he asks her to take some paperwork to Jesús since Fede is away.

Lupe’s new broken record drops. It’s called “If Something Happens to Villalba on Account of Little Ol’ Me…” recorded in B flat. We see Villalba doing Yoga while Conchita laments to Don Abel about Lupe getting her groove back. No dialogue from Villalba. This may be a first. Don Abel says if a man is lucky enough to find a marvelous woman, he must do everything to win her heart. Conchita asks him to relay this knowledge to Villalba man-to-man. Of course; Don Abel would do anything for her.

Mari hypes herself up before facing Jesús and marches towards the garage.

Creepy music box notes play. Carloca is pouring all of her pills into her hand and then onto the floor. Mommy Dearest comes in, sees the pills, and realizes why Carloca has been acting out. She is adamant about not taking pills. MD suggests the best medicine might be to get rid of Mariluz. Why doesn’t Carloca convince Augi to kick her out? Carloca says she has a much better plan. She will ruin her life. Mari has no idea how dangerous Carloca can be.

Jesús is working on the toy horse when Mari brings the paperwork. She picks it up and recognizes it right away from the farm. It can’t be! She looks in his eyes. “Is it possible that you…”

Cut to Emma’s live. She PSAs her followers with tips for the environment.

Augi and Domís review her latest project. Augi hopes that maybe one day Domi’s project will be the family business as Emma and Carlota clearly aren’t capable. She makes no promises; he he keeps the faith. Next, she needs his car (as Bri has hers) and does not want to be chauffeured He gives her the keys.

Mari is looking at the the toy horse. Flashback to when they met. Currently they almost kiss. She stops it; he apologizes. She says it’s over. She has buried her love for him (symbolically in the necklace Conchita bought her). She has to move on. He should focus on his son, give him the toy horse, play with him, care for him, console him when he’s sad, hug him when he’s scared, and never abandon him. OUCH! She only came by to deliver paperwoek. She’s DONE.

Augi and Fede(ral Crimes) are strategizing. Augi isn’t worried about recent threats. Should they beef up security? Nah. Augi will be the next mayor despite those petty threats.

Doménica is taking off in Augi’s car. Damián pops over for a quick smooch. She’s in a hurry but the seatbelt won’t latch. Damián checks it out. Beeps are heard. Damián sees a bomb on the floorboard. He tries to keep her calm/still.

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 63 - Part 2 of 3

Fede gets a courtesy call from Adrian’s mom’s former clinic. A relative of Amelia Sánchez has been sniffing around and asking about letters - letters which were given to Fede. He should be prepared for the relative to contact him as well. Augi orders Fede to find out everything about this. He’s certain the brothers are behind this!

Doménica is seated on a weight-activated bomb. If she removes her weight, ka-blooey!!! Damián MacGuyver springs into action and sends a looky-loo to his garage to retrieve his tools. Mari has wandered over. He calls to report the bomb. Mari runs to get Augi. Inside she screams there’s a bomb under the car. Augi runs, MD faints(!), Fede catches MD, Mica helps Fede with the dead weight.

Damián & Jesús are working on the bomb while Sam is calming Doménica. The bomb is too elaborate for their skill set. Jesús pulls out yet another magic contact (See episode 61) and calls for immediate help. Doménica wants Damián and Sam to skedaddle. She can’t be responsible for them dying too. Damián says they are in this together; they LOVE each other; and they hug. Sam sees this display of true love and maneuvers himself between the couple and the bomb. They plop out of the car like sideways toast. Sam is now the sole force keeping the bomb from detonating.

An actual Bomb Squad shows up. Sam tells his brothers to go and take Dome. He’ll be fine. The Bomb Squad clears the area.

At the Manse Augi orders everyone to evacuate. Mari says they can all take refuge @ Casa Las García. MD says when hell freezes over. Emma is to gather Carlota (without making her loca) and post NOTHING on social media. Flash editing alert. MD is defiant about leaving. Blink. MD is in the middle of Casa Las García.

It’s a casa divided. MD is insufferable. Carlota wants to be with Jesús. Emma tries to help and gets shut down. Las García (and Mica) remain poised throughout.

Augi orders Fede to find out who did this. They could have killed Doménica. Now it’s personal. They will pay!

Doménica is on the streets with the mecánicos. She’s not leaving until Sam is safe. Adrian asks about Emma (sweet). Patricio shows up. Adrián notes either a grease smudge or a black butterfly tattoo on Pat’s right inner wrist. He asks Doménica who he is and she says lawyer and close friend of Augi. Adrian wonders if he could be the Dark Man from the letters.

Valero points out that Jesús seems to really know the bomb squad team.

Mari prays for the safety of the mecánicos. Sam receives instruction from a squad member and asks if he can pray. He says he’s better at praying now as he’s been practicing. He’s thankful he got to get to know his brothers. They are super good. He’s thankful for his new brothers: Adrian & Valero. He loves them a lot. He’s thankful he got to know love even if it was just a little bit. Please take good care of Doménica & Damián. They deserves to be happy. That’s what Sam wants. Oh, and take care of Selena too. Thank you, God…

¡Samu! Jesús yells. “Everything will be fine. You are very brave.”

In Morelia Elisa feels a sharp pain in her left arm. She’s not sure the cause of anguish. Something terrible as of one of her sons was in danger. She prays.

The lead bomb squad member cuts the main cable…

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 63 - Part 3 of 3

The bomb is deactivated. Everybody hugs Sam. Sam says he prayed and God helped them. Doménica says Sam saved her life, and she never will forget it. She hugs him. Damián looks on.

Elisa’s pain is gone. She knows it sounds crazy but she thinks Augusto heard her prayers (?) and now her anguish is gone. She is thankful.

Uh oh. Villalba (disguised as Panama Jack) and his word count are back with a vengeance. Don Abel and Conchita show up. Don Abel repeats his wisdom from earlier - imploring Villalba not to give up on Lupe. Villalba yammers and Conchita acknowledges she didn’t understand one word, but she sure knows something: someone who truly loves doesn’t give up. If he would give it one more try & speak more coherently, he may just have a chance.

Adrian tells Valero he thinks he’s identified the Dark Man as Patricio Salgado. He isn’t “sure sure,” but it makes sense because he has the tattoo, knows Augi, and probably would have known his mom. They need proof.

Villalba is reenergized and spitting out words and literary references at breakneck speed. Conchita recommends Villalba take Lupe back to the site of his proposal.

Patricio offers Augi his full team’s support and takes leave. He walks by Adrian who craftily asks him to recycle his water bottle. He does.

Fede tells Augi the person looking into Amelia Sánchez showed up with his lawyer and had to be Amelia’s son. Augi didn’t know Amelia had a son.

At home Fede realizes (A) the letters have been stolen and (B) Amelia Sánchez Jr. has been in his condo.

Doménica finds a rose and a Damián in her bedroom again. They go over the day’s events. She feels she’s been given a second chance. Idiot Damián is upset that he wasn’t the hero. Really? She’s not having it. She shows him out (the window) again. He leaves.

The other womenfolk are still hunkered down at Casa Las García. Jesus comes in (followed by everyone). The incident is over. MD physically separates Emma & Adrian. Twice. Augi is again indebted to Los Guerrero. But why would anyone want to kill you, asks Conchita. Please put your hands down, Patio. Let him answer.

“Politics, and it won’t happen again.” -Augi

Someone new is at the door - bringing flowers for Lupe. The delivery guy struggles with the long message attached (LOL). Audible gasps and swoons when he finishes. It’s another proposal (to meet) from Villalba. Mari signs for the flowers, and the delivery guy (who deserves the biggest tip ever) leaves. Augi is hardly amused.

Guerrero

Thank you O.S. for another fantastic recap!! You had me cracking up as always!

I loved: 'Augi and Fede(ral Crimes) are strategizing.' And 'Please put your hands down, Patio. Let him answer.' So funny!!

Sam shined in this episode, he shines in most of them so it's not really news but I will say it anyway. I loved the sweet sincere prayer. It was innocent and trusting, and touching. I also loved the beginning where he says he's better at praying now because he's been practicing....can you get more adorable than that?

I also (surprisingly) really loved the long winded flower delivery message - it was a cute touch by the writers and it totally made me laugh!

Smart thinking of Adrian's part getting that water bottle, I don't know if Patricio is the culprit but he did seem to have a black butterfly tattoo. I can't remember, did Amelia say the tattoo was on the back? I thought she did, but now I'm not sure... I wonder if more than two people have butterflies. I guess we'll have to wait for the DNA results but my guess is it's not Patricio since that would be too easy...

Guerrero
Lupe can get weirdly annoying from time to time and she irritated me in this episode with her'oh do you think I was too harsh? So he won't come anymore?' And what did you expect? Or is she one of those women who want men to think she didn't mean it when she said he should leave her be? I didn't much like Damia and after today Samuelin has taken all my admiration. It's easy to mess-up such scenes but as he is so innocent and sincere, this worked so well I'm astonished. Mummy dearest saying 'for this daughter I would die' when Domenica was indanger made me wish someone could push her down the stairs or something.
Augusto isn't much better with his 'my other two daughters are clearly incapable of running my business'. Carlota has a uselss father and a useless doctor, who both think a relationship is 'her best medicine'. It's a wonder she can function at all. What a bunch of morons these characters are. The bomb plot put some spark into this telenovela because it feels as though it's languishing in the gloom of'this has been done to death.'

Guerrero. Excellent recap, O.S. I too say Good one: "Lupe's broken record" and "Fede(ral Crimes)." It's scary that Carlota plans to ruin Mari's life. She has no self-restraint whatsoever and is capable of any sort of horrible thing. Mari is so right that Jesus is Lisardo--of course she will change her mind. The episode of the bomb in the car was very intense! And though Augi was the target, of course he wasn't the one to get into it--too early in the novela. I can't believe that that doctor or administrator at the clinic would call Fede about Adrian's mom's records and letters. In the US that would be 100% illegal. In Mexico too? It's certainly a violation of medical ethics. Sam was just lucky that his movement to replace Domi in the car didn't cause an explosion. The advantage of Patricio's being the Dark Man and Adrian's (possible) father is that Adrian would not be related to Emma. Of course Elisa feels Sam's pain, and Oh, Damian! Jealous of Sam because he was the reckless one?

O.S., thank you for your recap, it was really funny. Your zingers are amazing, especially anything related to Lupe and Bertie - she is a snore, but he makes her tolerable. Reading your recaps actually makes me want to watch, when I tune in before, I find the show isn't even half as interesting.

So much to unpack here, but for starters, thank you, Darcy, for explaining me the bit about the letters and Adrian finding them and the rest... I have a hard time wrapping my head around it and I agree that having Pat as Adrian's father wouldn't be that interesting. I do believe the tattoo is on the back of the rapist, but I'm not 100% sure.

Waterlily, it's been a long time since I decided Augie is a crappy father, it's actually a wonder Domenica exists. And Sam is turning out to be the best of the brothers, Damian might be getting jealous - maybe he should be the one to step aside and allow Sam to have his chance with Domenica. But no, she will probably forgive it all in the name of love ("eye roll")

SpanProf - you hit the nail on the head with your description of this novela: " it feels as though it's languishing in the gloom of'this has been done to death.'" That's why I can't really get into it. That and a bland main couple.

Also of note the fact that once again Domenica barely manages to escape a life threatening situation: last week it was a fire, this week an explosion, what will it be next, poisoning? By the way Carlota was playing with those pills, I don't put it past her to make Mari a deadly cocktail of tea, anxyolitics and lithium, I'm even suprised she hasn't already thought about it.

And thank you all for hanging in there with this novela. As I said before, I can't really get myslef to watch every day because of life stuff happening around me and because I find it too predictable.

Darcy, thank you for asking about work: I'm doing OK, I talked with one of my managers expressing my unrest and lack of interest in my current work load, we'll see what happens next.
Things are rather interesting, gossip wise, we have a new teammate that is making people talk, so we're definitely not bored...
Oh, yes, and there is actual work, too, which is getting intense - for those who don't know, I work in the hospitality industry and this is the first year since Covid happened that we're really full steam ahead.

Hey, Darcy! I tried to capture our Samuelín’s action the best I could as your co-founder of Sam’s (Fan) Club, International!!!

Patricio as The Dark Man is a fun twist, especially since Augi & his old lady (Bri) have written him off as milquetoast and manipulable. Wouldn’t it be a kick if out of nowhere, Pat out-villain’d Augi?!! Doubtful, but for the record, I like Patricio.

They have been inconsistent with Fede’s neck tattoo. Then again this show has been so trope heavy, I wouldn’t be surprised if Fede had a twin. Remember, this is the same hair and makeup team that can’t keep Augi’s pompadour consistent and recently flubbed Sam’s wrestling bruises.

Waterlily, I still don’t know why Natalia Esperón read this script and said, “Yes! I’ll return to television to play this oddballl!” We still have a ways to go for her to rebound from our last nerve with her antics.

SpanProf, I didn’t want to admit it. **CURSIS ALERT** I got chills when Mari looked at Jesus and realized who he was. It was the first time in a while that I found myself interested AND rooting for this couple. Of course, the chills were short-term as she changed gears and stormed out.

Adriana, I have been a fan of your style and recaps for awhile so your kind words really made my day! Really.Appreciated. I hope you will continue to watch and inspire with your wit.

I officially joined the recap team because I was enjoying the show and noticed you and Darcy really have recapping down to an art form. I don’t know how ya’ll do it for multiple shows. I will continue to strive for recaps on your level.

Thank you all for your words of encouragement. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.
