CAMINO Ep 76 Part 1

Karen spins another web as she tells Sandra that she shouldn’t just hide from Fausto, she should also hide from Aaron! Sandra argues that Aaron is the only one left in her family and he will always protect her, but Karen rebuts that Aaron is Fausto’s faithful dog and he will not hesitate to kill he rid Fausto orders him to do it. Sandra knows that she should have gone far away some time ago, but she has no where to go and no money. Since that damned day that she took the baby from Olivia, she knew Lahr would have to pay life a high price for it…and she lost her peace.

At the hospital, Memo observes and the doctor is checking Daniela who tells him she is feeling better and her head doesn’t hurt; she would like to see her family. Before the doctor allows the family in, he asks her some questions. After he asks for her name, she replies correctly and adds that she is a landscaper, she’s from Guadalajara, she has a brother named Juan Pablo, her parents are dead, her husband is Fausto…she then smiles and adds that she has a daughter whom she adores and she just turned SIX! Memo interrupts and tells Dani that Isabela turned seven and she. He tells her that she dressed as a star, he holds her hand but Dani pulls her hand away and tells him that her daughter turned six and she doesn’t feel comfortable with him touching her…she doesn’t know who he is! Memo tells her that he is Memo and asks her to look into his eyes, but Dani gets nervous and asks the doctor to ask her husband to come. When Memo asks if she really wants to talk to him, Dani looks confused and asks why she shouldn’t want to talk to her husband. She reiterates that she doesn’t know who he is and she doesn’t know why he is talking to her as if she knows him. She asks the doctor to tell her brother or Fausto to please come; she is scared, doesn’t know what is happening and she needs to see someone from her family…and she asks the doctor to tell Memo to leave. Looking confused himself, Memo agrees to leave.

Out in the hall, Fausto is complaining to Aaron that the trailero never left Dani alone. They need to kill her before she wakes up because if she talks and tells what happened, he and Karen are doomed. Memo then approaches and tells Fausto that Dani woke up…and the doctor is checking her. He adds that she is somewhat confused…and asked for him. Fausto smiles wide and goes to see Dani.

Dani is telling the doctor that she doesn’t know how she ended up there after her daughter’s birthday party. She wonders why that man said her daughter is seven when she is six; and she doesn’t know who he is or what is happening to her. The doctor tells her that she needs to remain calm…and she has been there for two days. Fausto enters and Dani calls him “mi Amor!”…She was asking for him. He tells her she gave them a scare and asks how she is feeling; so Dani tells him that she is very confused…and doesn’t know what is happening.

Este is at the company asking if no one comes to work on Saturday. When she is told that only a skeleton crew works during the weekend, Este won’t stay either!

Mac happens to be at the company as Este leaves so he asks her for Fausto. After she tells him that Fausto is not there, she overhears Yo tell Mac that maybe his daughter’s boyfriend can give him an offer since he works there too. Este interrupts and asks if he is Lupita’s father. When he confirms, she tells him that she knows Lupita who is very sweet…but he should take good care of her because Sebas is only playing her…he fools girls into sleeping with him and then kicks them to the curb. Max assures her that Lupita is very respectful and has been taught not to give away her “flower” until she marries. Este comments that she hates to disappoint him, but that flower has been “deflowered!” Unbelievable as it may seem, Yo has to explain to clueless Mac what Este meant!

CAMINO Ep 76 Part 2

Sandra explains to Karen that when she realized how much she had hurt (Olivia), it was too late; so she wanted to give her some peace and told her that the baby girl was alive...she died a few days later. Karen states that Sandra may not have been able to do anything for the woman, but the woman contacted the father so that he could go look for her…so Sandra reunited a father with his daughter! Sandra hopes that is considered when she is called to the Lord’s side. Karen explains that the problem is that Fausto has custody of Isabela and he treats her very badly. After Sandra comments that Fausto is a monster, Karen adds that Isabela has had a difficult life, but Sandra has an opportunity to help her…she owes it to Olivia! Sandra asks what she could do, so Karen explains that she needs talk to Memo and tell him the truth so he can have the weapons he needs to take Isa away from Fausto!

Memo tells JP that Dani awoke and is talking…Ana Maria is checking her right now. When JP asks if Dani told him what happened, Memo replies that Dani is very confused and she didn’t recognize him. She looked him in the eyes and didn’t know who he was. JP assumes that Dani lost her memory; so Memo explains that she only lost part of it because she remembers him, Isabela and Fausto…just not him. He is now a stranger to her.

Sandra is sure that if she talks, Fausto will kill her. Karen argues that keeping quiet doesn’t guarantee anything and Fausto will not stop until he sees her dead! Karen is willing to help her; they have to wait for the right moment so that she can talk to Memo, but in the meantime, she needs to disappear. When Sandra wonders where she could go, Karen tells her she has a house 2 hours from there and she won’t tell anyone where she is…and she will even transfer some money for her, but she needs to leave now! Sandra hugs her in appreciation (did she not feel the horrible vibes?)

Sebas enters and surprises Lupita with a kiss. Gaby sees him and asks if he knows anything about Daniela. Sebas explains that when he left in the wee hours of the morning, Dani was still in a coma. When Chuchita approaches, Sebas suggests that she go with Chuchita since JP is very worried and needs her…Sebas will stay to help Lupita. Once they leave, Lupita suggests to Sebas that they should tell their parents what is happening between them.

Out in the cabin, Amparo is outside breathing in the fresh air .Eugenio joins her and asks if she likes what she sees. Amparo thinks it’s precious but it may seem even more precious since she is there with him (que cute!). Eugenio was looking forward to these days with her and has something to ask her. Before he finishes, Amparo receives the call from Lupita who tells her about Dani.

Karen is on the phone with Fausto who tells her things got complicated…Dani woke up and the doctor is checking her because something seems to be wrong. Fausto then tells Karen to stay where she is; he will call when there is more news. Karen hangs up and Sandra thanks her for everything she is doing and helping her get away. Sandra then leaves.

The doctor explains to Fausto and Memo that Dani’s concussion has some effects…she has problems with memory (noooo! really? Eyeroll!) Memo shares that Dani had an accident and hit her head and asks if that may be a factor. The doctor replies that it could be but they need to run more tests. After Fausto asks that the problems be explained, the doctor relates that Dani was able to recall several people and events, but when asked for the date, she gave the date but with a year’s difference…it’s like this last year does not exist for her (the year she spent with Memo! What a coinkidence!) As Fausto leaves, he smirks in satisfaction. And Memo thinks this is a nightmare.

Humberto asks Lupita to take care of the kids…so Lupita takes the kids with her so she can change Martín’s diaper. After she leaves, Sebas is taking care of a customer when Mac comes in and sMACks him!!

CAMINO Ep 76 Part 3

At the hospital, Fausto is with Dani and feigning concern. When Dani expresses how scared she is…since they just celebrated Isa’s 6th birthday and now she’s in the hospital, Fausto tells her that they did celebrate Isa’s birthday but she is 7. He then shows her the date on his phone. Dani is shocked that she has lost a year; she doesn't remember anything!

Out in the lobby, Memo asks how long it will take Dani to recover her memory; so the doctor explains that it could be a few days, weeks, months…or she may not recover it at all! JP states that they need to hope for recovery. Chuchita and Gaby then arrive and JP updates them on Dani‘s memory loss.

Mac grabs Sebas by his shirt and asks how he dared blemish his daughter’s honor! When Mac throws Sebas down, Sebas quickly rebounds and assures Mac that things are not how he thinks. Before he can finish, Mac sMACks him again growling that he and his a father are alike; they only came to take advantage of his wife and his daughter! Sebas retorts that he is in love with his daughter; he adores her, respects her and wants to marry her! As he grabs Sebas again, Mac clenches his teeth as he growls that he doesn’t believe Sebas who only wants to take his daughter to bed!

Memo goes to see Dani and asks if it bothers her that he is there. It doesn’t bother her and Dani apologizes for reacting the way she did. She assumes that she knows him, but she doesn’t recognize him. When she asks if they are friends, Memo confirms so Dani asks if she can address him informally. After he say “yes” with a smile, she asks how they met; so Memo proceeds to tell her that he worked for her as her assistant. Dani tries to remember, but she just can’t place him. Memo asks her to try…she has to remember. He asks her to look him in the eyes and search in her memory since they have shared so much in the last months. He holds her hand and Dani doesn’t pull her hand away but she looks ambivalent. Memo softly tells her that it can’t be that she forgot him completely.

Dani apologizes to Memo; she doesn’t know what is happening to her. After she adds that when she looks at him, she feels that they have a special connection, Memo confirms that they do. Dani has the feeling that she trusts him, but she doesn’t know if working together is what brought them to be close…or good friends. Memo explains that they aren’t just good friends, there is something much stronger that connects them. Dani gets nervous, pulls her hands away from his, and asks what he is referring to; so Memo tells her that he is Isa’s biological father. Dani looks surprised and worried as she exclaims, “Dios mío!” Dani asks Memo how he found out that Isa is his daughter; how did he find out that she and Fausto adopted her; does he have proof to back up what he is saying? Memo sees that she is getting upset and asks her to calm down. Dani cries as she asks how she stay calm when this could change her world completely! Memo asks her to try and remember since they had already discussed everything. Dani tries to calm down and asks what his intentions are; is he going to fight to get Isa. When she pleads that he not take her daughter from her, Memo assures her that they talked about everything and they agreed to be good friends and that she would trust him. Dani becomes upset and cries that she can’t remember anything! Memo assures her that he would never do anything to hurt her or their daughter whom he loves with all his heart. Fausto interrupts and tells Memo to stop! Doesn’t he know that his wife’s condition is very delicate? Fausto then leads Memo out.

CAMINO Ep 76 Part 4

At the restaurant, Mac is slapping Sebas’s arm and disparaging him for trying to make a fool of Lupita when Lupita walks in and chides him for hitting Sebas. Two men hold Mac as he yells at Lupita that his blood is boiling because she fell into Sebas’s trap. He then gets away from the men and SLAPS Lupita sending her to the floor! Just then Amparo and Eugenio run in. After Amparo immediately goes to Lupita, Sebas stands firm and yells at Mac, “You will not touch Lupita again!” before punching Mac and sending him to the floor too! (And we collectively yell, “More Sebas more!!”). Eugenio then grabs Mac and growls as he asks if he dared hit his son! Mac gets away from Eugenio and tells them that Sebas stole Lupita’s innocence!! Big gasp from Amparo!

At the hospital, Fausto chides Memo for upsetting Dani. When Memo explains that he was just trying to help her, Fausto tells him to leave that to the professionals! After Fausto leaves, Memo calls Dr. Ana María (the psychologist) and tells her that Dani needs her.

Gaby is consoling JP with a kiss when Grace disgracefully walks in and derides her for taking advantage of JP in his anguish! JP stands firmly as he tells Grace to stop. Gaby offers to leave, but JP tells her to stay; the one who should leave is Grace! Grace starts to remind him that he and she…but JP interrupts and tells her there is no “us!” He appreciates her trying to be there for him, but the one whom he needs is Gaby.

Fausto is back with Dani who can’t believe that she can’t remember the appearance of Isa’s father. Fausto tells her to remain calm. When she asks if Isa knows, Fausto puts on his mask of concern as he replies, “Unfortunately, she does.” Dani realizes that Isa now knows that she is adopted. Fausto then tells her not to believe anything Memo tells her…since they had agreed to distance Memo from Isabela…because she suspected that Memo’s intentions were not good. Dani then asks to see her daughter…she won’t calm down until she talks to her. Fausto agrees to go for her. Before he leaves, Dani asks him to help her; she needs him with her more than ever. (And my bile rises as) Fausto hugs her and assures her that he will always be there for her…she and their daughter are what he loves most in the world. (LIAR!!!)

Lupita wipes Sebas’s blood from his nose as she tells him she will not forgive her father for hitting him…never! Sebas knows how hurt she is and when he asks if her cheek hurts (where Mac slapped) her, Lupita replies that it is her soul that hurts; she feels that part of her heart died. Sebas consoles her and assures that she has him…he will never let her go! He loves her…and nothing and no one will separate them. He will love her till the end of days! (Hmmm…bad omen, please NO!!)

Back at the restaurant, Amparo tears into Mac. She is fed up with him! She has let many things pass…but she will not allow him to take her family’s peace, much less hit his daughter! After she leaves to check on Lupita, Eugenio takes his turn since they haven’t finished their talk. Eugenio pushes him to the chair and tells him that it will benefit him to listen. Since he wants to liberate Amparo from Mac forever, Eugenio offers to buy the part of the property Mac got…he will offer 10% more than what Fausto is offering. When Mac counters that he wants 20% more, Eugenio quickly agrees…then threatens that if Mac dares touch his son, then Mac will have to face him!

At the hospital, Fausto tells JP and Chuchita that he is going for Isa…and the doctor is forbidding any visits for Dani. JP insists on seeing his sister, but Fausto reiterates that they will have to wait until the doctor authorizes it. He then adds that only he can enter …and he got permission for Isa to go in.

CAMINO Ep 76 Part 5

Fausto is now outside and on the phone with Karen who quickly asks if Dani reported her. He tells her that her friend has partially lost her memory. Karen thinks Dani is pretending, but Fausto assures her that it is true…but it is still best that Karen remain where she is. When Karen asks if Dani might recover her memory, Fausto replied that it’s possible…and if that happens, Karen would be in danger.

JP tells Gaby about the visitation restrictions. Gaby tells him that maybe it’s best since Dani needs to be alone and rest. JP thanks her for being there since he needs her. Memo approaches with Ana María as he thanks her for coming. AnaM assures them that she will do everything she can to help her.

(Skipped scene) Amparo is tending to Lupita’s bruised cheek as Lupita wonders why her father is the way he is and cries that she is so embarrassed that Amparo and Eugenio found out about her and Sebas in this way. Amparo assures her that it is her father who should be ashamed (if only he had a conscience!) but the one who is most important is Lupita. Amparo knows that there are certain things that mothers and daughters find it difficult to discuss, but she wants Lupita to trust her…since giving oneself in body and soul is marvelous (and we know who she’s thinking of!) Lupita assures her that it was magical…-and Sebas treated her like a gentleman…she loves him. Amparo tells her to take care of that love…and she shouldn’t feel guilty since she acted out of love.

Ana María is with Dani who cries that questions why this is happening…everything is so disconcerting. She feels like she lost a whole year. When she asks if Isa was upset when she found out that she was adopted, AnaM replies that Isa was affected but with Dani’s patience…and love, she was able to dissipate all of Isa’s doubts…and Isa knows that she loves her profoundly.

Sebas is having his own talk with his father. He assures that he may have made mistakes with relationships on the past, but with Lupita it is not so…she is sweet and tender and he knows her love is pure…he is in love to the center of the earth. Amparo and Lupita then approach; so Sebas apologizes for the way they found out and tells Amparo that he adores Lupita…and he wants to marry her!

Isa happily greets Memo at the hospital. Fausto then sees Karen and quickly goes to ask what she is doing there. Karen replies that she is there to make sure Dani doesn’t remember anything. Once Fausto sees AnaM, he asks how she knew Dani was there. Memo quickly interjects that he called her…since it was Fausto who said Dani needed professional help. After Isa pleads that she wants to see her mommy, Memo assures her that she will see her and they share their special wink.

At the restaurant, Lupita asks Sebas if he is serious. Sebas assures her he is…and he wants to prove that he is serious and he wants her to be his partner for life. Both Eugenio and Amparo advise the young couple to be prudent and think things through; they suggest
that Lupita finish her studies and Sebas establish himself professionally before forming a family. After they assure Lupita and Sebas that they have their support whatever they decide, Lupita and Sebas agree to discuss it. Sebas adds that whatever happens, their love is invincible!

Isa is now with Dani who cries that she didn’t want to hide anything from her…and she she doesn’t know how she found out and she doesn’t want her to suffer. Isa assures her that she is fine; her father Memo is the best! Dani is relieved, but doesn’t want Isa to be sad or confused. Isa assures that she loves having two fathers (though one only in name). Isa then adds that she also knows that her biological mother died and is protecting her from the stars. Dani asks if Isa will still love her; so Isa replies that “yes, because you have told me that even though I didn’t grow inside of you, I grew out of your heart…and that is super-duper!” Dani tells Isa that she is the best...and her love for her is infinite.

CAMINO Ep 76 Part 6

Grace is ranting to Yo that Gaby will pay when Mac walks in. Yo sees his bruised face; so Max confirms that he was in a fight with that sorry novio…who stole his daughter’s innocence. Grace interjects that he should do the same to JP…since he got drunk and abused her! Mac remains indifferent as he tells her that many things are said about her in the neighborhood. Grace feels stupid for thinking that Mac would defend her…she’s glad she does have his last name because she hates him!

AnaM advises the family and friends that Dani should not get upset; she should be told of events in the last year gradually…if she is bombarded with information because it may result in more stress that could harm her more. After Memo asks if Dani will recover her memory, AnaM explains that Dani recalls certain faces and melodies that are meaningful in her mind, and any other recollections will come naturally; and it is very important that when Dani returns to her home, it should be as she remembers it from a year ago. When JP states that he was living there at the time, AnaM advises that he return so Dani can feel secure. Fausto grins as he agrees to whatever is best for his wife. AnaM then adds that they should avoid any news that might make Dani anxious…and not to reveal anything that she may not be ready to hear.

Days later…at Dani’s house…
Memo thinks Fausto may not like that he isn’t here, but JP explains that Fausto can eat his anger since Isa asked that Memo be invited…and Memo is part of the family. Isa and Chuchita run down the stairs exclaiming that they are here! Fausto and Dani enter together to be greeted by smiles and cheers that welcome her home! When Fausto welcomes her home, Dani turns to him as she smiles and says, “Thank you, my love!” And as they kiss, Isa gleefully claps as Memo looks disappointed…and jealous!

Didn't have much time to thoroughly proofread, so excuse the typos. If something doesn't make sense, just let me know and I will clarify.

We all suspected amnesia, didn't we? But c'mon writers, she only forgot everything that has to do with Memo?? Puh-lease! ARGHH!!

Camino

Rgv Chick, you ingeniously countered the dreaded and dreadful amnesia plotline with wise wit and wisdom. I smiled as I eagerly devoured every word of your marvelous, sublimely detailed summary. You sweetened the sour and made the unpalatable somewhat tolerable.

“Mac comes in and sMACks him!!” and “Grace disgracefully walks in” were perfection.

“…the doctor relates …it’s like this last year does not exist for her (the year she spent with Memo! What a coinkidence!)” Wasn’t it though??

It was hard to watch Dani reaching out to Fausto but sadly it is he who she remembers and trusts. His Cheshire cat smiles were truly disgusting.

“He holds her hand and Dani doesn’t pull her hand away but she looks ambivalent. Memo softly tells her that it can’t be that she forgot him completely” was beautifully conveyed as that was exactly transpired. And it is the reason we must hope.

The Zambrano men are showing they are the marrying kind; Eugenio, sparkling diamond in hand, seconds short of proposing to Amparo and Sebastian’s loving declaration to Amparo he wants to marry Lupita. Although sincere, perhaps Eugenio’s popping the question five minutes after Amparo’s divorce might be rushing it a bit. I think Sebastian’s declaration was heartfelt but unplanned and completely spur of the moment. He does love her, but I’m not sure he’s really given it serious thought. All this while Este is still stirring the pot behind the curtain.

Macario defended Lupita’s “honor” yet scathingly told (and showed) Grace she meant nothing to him. If she hadn’t been so horrible, I would have felt for her but my pity is needed much more elsewhere.

“Sandra hugs her in appreciation (did she not feel the horrible vibes?)” was spot on. I fear Sandra will not be long for this world. Perhaps she might take Karen with her.

There is some hope. Isa loves Memo, which was apparent to Daniela. Something in Memo’s kind manner reassured Daniela. If she doesn’t end up remembering, perhaps they will build their love story anew.

Rgv Chick, thank you for your excellent insight into what we can only fervently hope is a very short detour on the road to Daniel and Memo’s happiness.

Diana

I have been reading along for awhile now. I studied Spanish in School, married twice, both men were fluent in Spanish, their Native language, I lived in Guadalajara and due to years in America - lost my ability to speak intelligently in Spanish.
Your recaps are all so wonderful.
Thank you so much!

My heart did go out to Grace tonight.
She has yearned for her parents love. Both have eyes only for money or sex and she was a pitiful side product.

Mac has no right to hit anyone, we know his sordid past.

I think Eugenio wanting to propose is because for him it has been decades of aloneness.
Ampara- married to a creep & always knew on some deep down level, Macario was a louse.

This is the Narcissist to a T - Fausto. He thinks he can get away with more murders — telling Karen they have to be sure she Dani, never has the chance to remember. Pure evil.

Karen showing up at the Hospital is so gutsy, nervy & sure of herself - since Dani has no memory.
But what about all those video surveillance cameras that Fausto watched when Memo was playing airplane with Isa???
Wouldn’t they have caught Karen pushing Dani down the stairs.

Sandra is in a trap. Her brother would kill her faster than Fausto.

Can someone explain the actual conversation that Karen had with Dani about killing her babies / pregnancies.
I couldn’t quite understand the words, except that only Karen could have the baby w Fausto - they should have thought of that 10 years ago.
Also, it sounded like Karen told Sebastian that Fausto “deflowered” her.
So why didn’t they get married?
Again, I don’t get the meaning of the conversations.
And lastly, did I miss why Fausto’s parents did not trust him & Aaron?

What exactly does that Will say to inherit the money ( Karen just discussed it w the lawyer ).

Again, all my thanks to you for these fabulous recaps. I love this show & just feel so sorry for the trauma that Fausto has caused so many, including Aaron & Karen — who are villains - but it’s because of him, more than anyone. Ursula— she is a total screwed up mess.
Macario - we all know a sleaze like him.

Thank you!

Thank you Rgv Chick! Your recap is exceptional as always! It was a hard episode to watch but this time we get all the quiet desperation instead of the yelling and crying and you chronicled every bit of it making it as Diana said 'somewhat tolerable'! Thank you!

I didn't want an amnesia storyline anymore than any of you but it was well acted! The acting in this novela is fantastic all the way around and Dani's fear and confusion was so real last night and believable as was Memo's shock and desperation as this is indeed, a nightmare for him, another nightmare, he's certainly had enough of them! I had hopes that Dani was faking amnesia at first but she isn't duplicitous so of course that isn't the case... I just hope for a short memory loss stint.

I had that same thought last night when Sebas was talking about being together forever - that it was a bad omen... I hope we are both wrong!!!! I loved watching Sebas deck Mac!!! Definitely wanted him to do it again! And I am the last person to defend Mac but he didn't look to me like he hit Lupita on purpose. It looked like he was trying to jerk his arm free on the guy holding him and Lupita got hit in the process - but he certainly didn't apologize for it!! I find it odd that a man who treats women as badly as he does could get 'righteously indignant' over someone else supposedly taking advantage of a woman.

Welcome Montana!!! I don't know if I can answer all your questions as I have to get to work but I am sure the patio will have you covered! I don't remember exactly what Karen said to Dani - because I like to block cruelty from my mind real or imagined - but I do know she made it clear that she had caused her miscarriages and than she had done it by drugging her. I'm not sure if we know exactly why Fausto's dad didn't trust him - I think that is to be revealed; but I'm guessing he just knew who his son was. Maybe we will find out more. Karen did tell Sebas that Fausto deflowered her and that she's been in love with him ever since but Karen is also a liar and a manipulator...it's hard to know if you can trust what she says. Is she telling the truth? or is she setting the stage? Is she hopelessly obsessed with Fausto and wanting to be with him forever? Or is she bent on revenge and trying to convince everyone that she is still obsessively in love with Fausto so she can have his bio-child and steal his precious inheritance like she told Aaron?? I don't know but I can't wait to find out.

OT

I spent the weekend watching “Triptych” (Tríada) an 8 episode Mexican thriller on Netflix. It stars Maite Perroni, David Chocarro, Flavio Medina, Nuria Bages. It kept my attention and surprising me until the end. Can’t ask for more than that! : )

Camino
I don't get Macario. When he has spent his whole life pretty much using women and has no respect for them, why get so angry when his daughter has slept with someone? Maybe he is judging all men based on what he himself is like, but his outrage was weird. Then he proceeded to tell Grace she is basically a slut. Why does he hate her so?
It seems he married Amparo because she had property as it didn't take him long to come up with a plan to take that property from her. He manipulates his son but then supposedly goes to 'defend' his daughter's honour. The man can't even do anything useful.
In those scenes with Isabela and Daniela, it felt as though the roles had been reversed and Isa was the adult.

Camino

"I think Eugenio wanting to propose is because for him it has been decades of aloneness". Well said Montana...I don't think he wants to waste a moment now that he and Amparo have found each other. I do think Amparo loves him and they will end up married. Welcome!! So glad you posted.

I will echo your "The acting in this novela is fantastic all the way around and Dani's fear and confusion was so real last night and believable as was Memo's shock and desperation as this is indeed, a nightmare for him..." Darcy, exactly right! I am also hoping Dani's memory returns but if it doesn't?? Memo is so sweet, earnest (and let's face it, hawt) she may fall in love with him again, so I'm not worried.

Will be away until tonight so just wanted to comment quickly.

Still savoring your incredible recap Rgv Chick.

Diana

Camino

Dear Chickie, thank you for another excellent review of all the drama, quiet desperation , and evil plotting . I was watching "The Voice " and forgot to record Camino until the end . However, I surfed in just in time to see awful Mac sucker punch Seb and then accidentally punch poor Lupita. I think I cheered out loud when Seb went all Incredible Hulk as he smashed Mac right in the face. Yay.

I am waiting for the tide to turn because Mexican telenovelas usually reward the good folks and punish the bad unlike Turkish dizis that don't always offer HEAs for the good.

OT

Welcome, Montana !

CAMINO

Good Morning, everyone, and thank you for a great start to the discussion!

Diana, regarding Fausto: " His Cheshire cat smiles were truly disgusting" Thank you for that! I keep trying to think of who/what his smiles remind me of and just couldn't get it. I kept thinking the grinch who stole Christmas, but a Ceshire cat surely is a perfect description.

Montana, WELCOME!! Always a pleasure to have someone new on the patio. I'll try to answer some of your questions as best as I can, though Darcy already did a very good job--I'll just fill in some blanks. 1) karen told Dani that she hated her more every time Dani told her she was pregnant; and she was happy every time she lost the baby...and it was she who provoked the miscarriages. She reminded Dani of the headaches, the sleepiness and the pains she would get right before she lost each baby. Then she added that there are certain medications pregnant women shouldn't take. 2) Not sure why Fausto didn't marry Karen, but I can give you my crockpot theories--maybe Fausto really did fall in love with Dani at the time; or maybe Fausto's father knew what kind of person Karen was and forbade Fausto from marrying her??? 3) Fausto's father figured out that he and his sidekick were stealing from the company and was going to act on that if he didn't stop.

Darcy, I really hope I'm wrong about the "bad omen" but things are going so well for this very young couple that it seems to good to be true...and Sebas keeps emphasizing the "forever" in loving and protecting Lupita. And Darcy, I had the same thought about Mac possibly hitting Lupita by accident. But then when I remember how he slapped Ursula, I have doubts...maybe he's getting more violent with women???

Waterlily, ITA that Mac being so worked up about Lupita being deflowered is off the wall. He's an enigma when it comes to the way he treats his "legitimate" children versus his "illegit' daughter. Although, he had no reservations about manipulating Chema.

Susanlynn, I am glad the recap brought you everything that you missed. And I agree, Sebas going all Incredible Hulk was SO good to see! I had never really noticed how big and tall Sebas is until that scene!

"CAMINO":
RGV Chick: Amazing job on the recap of last night's episode because at the rate the band of villains are going, they're really hell-bent on dragging this out non-stop.

A screaming match between Estela and Angela was at the screeching level when Estela finally slapped Angela. She then seized her by her hair and slammed her face down on the nightstand. Armando yelled “¡Ja Basta!” as he finished dressing. Angela cried as she realized her nose was bleeding profusely. “I hope you die!” Estela said as she was walking out. She turned to Armando saying “Now get your things out of here with that slut. I never want to see her again. Go to hell!” She then walked out and allowed herself to cry and swear vengeance as she went back to her car.

As Angela held something to her nose Armando said he would take her to a hospital, but she refused. She mumbled something and he said they would say she had an accident at work.

Creel, Chihuahua: Elsa arrived and was shown into Madre Ruth's office. She would not let Elsa sit down in the opposite chair. She informed Elsa that the school has a prestigious reputation for its discipline and rigorous routine. No rebellion would be tolerated and the slightest disobedience will be dealt with very strictly. Students were to rise at 5AM and make their beds. The rooms are to be kept orderly at all times. They were then to bathe, have breakfast, attend chapel, for an hour, and then go to class at 7AM. There is a break from 12 to 12:15, then return to classes. Lunch is served from 2-2:30, followed by working in the vegetable path or the orchard or [whatever]. Clean out the chicken coop or preparing food. The previous Mother Superior set the next hour for prayers. Dinner is from 8 to 8:30. Retiring to bedrooms immediately after in silence. No electronics were permitted. No communication is permitted with the outside world. Elsa asked how was she supposed to communicate with her family. The MS told her that they would be kept informed of her status with regular reports. [Can this flag be any redder? I am seeing arterial blood.] Finally Madre Ruth said ”You will be permitted to call your parents on Sundays from here in my office and in my presence. Frivolous activities and private conversation is not permitted. There will always be a Sister near you to keep an eye on you. Any questions?”

Elsa may have but shook her head in disbelief.

Estela cried as she drove home, flashing back to earlier incidents that were the red flags she had missed. She cursed her failure to recognize them.

Elsa followed Madre Ruth into what she was told was the bathing room to find two metal tubs and a matching bucket. The nun turned on one of the taps and explained that they do not have hot water. Their water came directly from the mountain streams. Elsa asked about watering cans. She was told there were none. As to mirrors, there were none in that room or in any other. This was to prevent vanity, which was not tolerated. “We live in absolute austerity without luxuries or temptations.”

The best that could be said about her room was that it was private and had a window, but there was no furniture apart from the bed. No need for a chest of drawers as her suitcase would contain all of her things. The folded items on the bed were her uniforms. The nun left her alone, closing the door behind her. Outside the birds – as free as she was a prisoner – chirped in the daylight.

Part 2 of 4

Gerardo and Elena started arguing about why she hired a private investigator. He wasn't buying the explanation of jealousy, as she had no previous history of behaving so. He asked her again and she gave the same excuses just as he received a call from Lamberto telling him that Angela had been in an accident. He told Elena as he ended the call and left for the hospital. He did not want Elena to go there with him.

Andres got a promotion and a raise.

Elsa made her first call home in front of the Monster Superior who reminded her to be brief. Estela was not at home. Flor answered and asked her the usual questions regarding the trip and the destination. Elsa answered as tersely and unemotionally as possible. After she left Madre Ruth made a notation in the book on her desk.

Armando called home looking for Estela but getting Elena instead. She asked about Angela and Armando told his lie here, finally telling Elena to let him know when Estela came home. As he ended the call he looked toward Lamberto, Aurora, and Carlos, who were seated nearby. Aurora said something about hoping that her mother doesn't end up with scars on her face. Carlos told het that would not happen. She then worried that the whole office would know about Angela's drinking. Armando said she was not drinking at the time. He also told them Estela wasn't at home and that she was very upset about Elsa's departure. When he left on the pretext of getting coffee Lamberto looked like he suspected something.

At the gruel hour in the internado there appeared to be only about a dozen inmates. One of them (Rosa?) cautioned Elsa not to talk because Sister Catalina (whom she discreetly pointed out) would report them for it.

Andres arrived at Remedios' place where she, her sister, and her sister's novio (?) were playing dominoes.

Elsa went to Madre Ruth's office to request permission to call home, explaining that she had not previously reached her mother. Request refused, as “rules are rules.”

Flor served Elena her dinner while Elena was looking up something on her phone. No news of Estela. Elena told Flor that Angela's nose was broken and she was in surgery. She spoke with no emotion and didn't even look up from her phone until Flor asked whether Angela had been in an accident. The brat pulled rank on her, eventually calling her a nobody and dismissed her as her cell rang. It was Elsa who asked for their mother. Elena told her she was not there and ended the call abruptly, telling her she was about to eat. A second later Elsa got the signal that her sister had ended the call. She thanked the Monster Superior and left her office to go to her room. The Monster Superior made another notation.

The doctor told Angela's family that the operation went well. At Aurora's question the doctor said that her mother's nose was swollen but when that ends they will know if it will be the same as before. He then told them that she can have visitors but only one at a time. He left them alone, Armando excused himself, and Lamberto insisted on being Angela's first visitor.

She pretended not to remember what happened. Lamberto did not display any evidence of doubt if he had any and left quietly after telling her to rest.

Part 3 of 4

Andres and Remedios won the game and Andres excused himself to go home and study.

Estela was still not home when Armando got there. He declined Elena's offer to accompany him when he said he would go out and look for her, telling her he would call.

Elsa had her notebook with her where she wrote out everything she wanted to tell Andres. [She should be worried that the MS would search her things or have someone else do so.]

While driving Armando called Renzo to order him to describe Angela's “accident” as her fainting in the break room and falling against the snack machine.

Gerardo came home and told Elena his mother was alright. However he could not stop thinking about what Elena had accused him of. He realized he didn't know her as well as he thought he had. Where there is no trust there is no relationship. She apologized several times during this evening, but did not sound truly sincere.

Armando barged into Hector's office demanding to know where Estela was. Hector not only denied knowing he wondered what Armando had done that he was in such a tizzy about this.

Padre Reynaldo prayed for guidance on what to do. Flashback to when he found Armando unconscious the night that he paid off Olmos. He saw the first of the photos in this case and realized that there was likely to be a connexion between those photos and Olmos' death.

Antonia and Silvia talked about Lamberto and his intentions.

Elsa almost froze when she tried out the bathing facilities for the first time. Rosa advised her how to deal with it.

Estela had not come home. Elena asked her father why he didn't call the police. He gave her the usual answer about the 24 hour thing, but she wasn't satisfied. This was not like Estela and in combination with everything else... Armando asked about Gerardo and Elena lied, saying he dropped the subject but was still behaving strangely. They went downstairs to breakfast where Armando had to lie to his younger children that their mother was visiting a sick aunt (one Sofie had never heard of). As Domingo began asking more questions Armando suggested they eat breakfast.

Meanwhile, at Hospital Santa Clara, Gerardo visited Angela, who had just told someone she wasn't hungry. She told the same lie she had told Lamberto. He had heard Armando's version and told her he was going to talk to someone about some tests. She tried to say this was unnecessary.

Andres called Silvia to update her on his good fortune.

Ramos handed a folder to Fuentes, explaining that they had gone through all of Olmos' clients except three. Two were out of town and returning the next day while the third was seen leaving his home with suitcases and entering a taxi. Fuentes ordered him to check the airport and get back to him. As soon as Ramos left Padre Reynaldo came in to talk to Commandante Fuentes. They talked behind the closed office door. The padre recognized Olmos' car, which had been found in Alcocer. He asked Fuentes to keep his visit secret.

Part 4 of 4

Lamberto asked the secretary and Renzo who saw Angela's accident. Renzo claimed to have seen her immediately after she fainted. He helped her up and finally said that only he, Armando, and Angela were in the office. The secretary didn't say anything but looked as though this were very odd. When Lamberto thanked Renzo for his help and left the secretary asked Renzo what was going on. She had seen Angela leave the office looking completely normal. Renzo shushed her with a warning.

Armando visited Angela, who was worried about being disfigured. She seemed obsessed. He told her not to worry. If that were the case, there is plastic surgery. He told her that was the least they should e concerned about now. What they had to worry about was Estela and what she would tell others.

Meche was next to hear about the “accident” and Aurora's obsession with the possibility of disfigurement. She rolled her eyes,

Lamberto entered Angela's room and she asked for the mirror in her purse. He handed it to her while telling her he talked to her office mates. She kept what she could of her cool as Gerardo joined them. He asked if she remembered anything of the accident and she said she felt faint in her office. Lombardo asked what she fell against. Gerardo said it had to have been something very hard for her level of injury. She said she didn't feel well and stop with the interrogation. Gerardo told her that if all went well that day she would be able to go home tomorrow. Like her daughter-in-law she got upset at the prospect of being seen like this. Lamberto asked her what was wrong? What shame was there in fainting in the office?

Armando gave Renzo Angela's car keys and told him to move her car away from the Nooky Cabin.

Meche went into Guillermina's office to ask if there was word from the internado. She said they had not returned her calls and didn't know when to expect them to. The sisters there are only on the internet about once a week, maybe because of a slow/weak signal. Meche became impatient and Guillermina wasn't having it. She dismissed her.

As Armando pulled out to drive home Estela arrived. She entered the hospital and went into Angela's room. NonAngel woke up and became afraid at the sight of her former friend. Estela slammed her purse onto Angela's bed saying “Friend, I guess you are not glad to see me.”

Perdona, #9

Oooops; calendar date missing and I made a mistake in the exit line above. It was Lamberto who was driving home from the hospital. The bronze car is his. I wish we could edit our posts.

Andres climbs out of Dante's Inferno relatively quickly just as Elsa falls into the 9th circle. Hell is now beginning for Angela as well. Where does that end?

Does Guillermina know anything about the conditions in Creel? I am sure she has never seen the place or met any of the inmates or their jailers.

Thanks Rgv Chick, loved the recap of another frustrating episode. Here’s what I think will happen: Dani will get her memory back but not tell Fausto and Karen. Then she and Memo can plot to bring them down! I hope she recovers her memory soon. And hopefully between the psychologist and Isa, Dani will begin to trust Memo even without her memory.

I wasn’t sure if Karen was really helping Sandra or setting her up. She could offer her to Fausto for something in exchange. Like a marriage proposal. But it sounds like she might really want her to tell about the facts behind Isa’s birth to Memo.

Thanks for filling in the missing scene. I was really confused when they came back in the restaurant as if nothing had happened. That was kind of an important mother/daughter talk.

Este is not giving up! She and Grace both have it in for the sisters. I did love seeing Grace shot down, first by JuanPa and then her dad. I have no sympathy for her. I didn’t understand what Mac said to her , but now we know she doesn’t have a good reputation. I hope Yo finds out about the other other woman!

I also thought Mac hitting Lupita was an accident. But wow, he knocked her to the floor!

Anxious for tonight to arrive!

Pecados

Thanks, Urban, for the very thorough recap. I can’t figure out why Estela didn’t come home all night. Although I thought she had told him to get out of their home, but apparently it was just the cabin. I sure hope she throws him out! And let’s Elena know why!

The school is worse than a prison. I think Armando really doesn’t like Elsa. I wonder why! I hope Meche doesn’t get into the school. Why should both girls suffer!

Andres is getting way to friendly with Remedios. He needs to tell her about Elsa. She’s suffering because of their love but he is enjoying life. I am glad he got a promotion.

Looks like Gerardo is turning the tables on Elena. Maybe she’ll decide she wants sex now! Not sure why she wants to protect her dad. She knows he was cheating.

I also wonder why Padre Reynaldo didn’t tell all he knew. He saw the pictures so must know what was going on.

Pecados #9

Liz,
Elsa is rebellious when compared to Elena. She may also be more academically gifted and/or more professionally ambitious than Elena was. Elena does not work and appears to have no intention of doing so. Both should be working part-time in their parents' company. When Martin is old enough he should also. In an ideal world they should also be allowed to stay employed in that company or leave if they decide to take on different work.

That does not seem to be the case for them because of a few things:

--- Small-town mentality
--- Outdated thinking about gender roles
--- Ego issues of their parents.

Since Armando came up from nothing he will be seriously protective of his past. There may be people from this town who remember that he was a nobody when he started working for Estela's father. He will be seriously paranoid about anyone finding out anything he doesn't want them to know. He sees Elsa's failure to have the class prejudice he grew up witnessing as a threat to his current position. For all we know he changed his name somewhere in the past. Hector may know more than we do at this point.

In a previous post I postulated that Elena was born a year into her parents' marriage and we have seen both the parents' 24th wedding anniversary and Elsa's 18th birthday, so there is likely to be a 4.5-5 year age difference between the two of them. If Elena was the center of her parents' universe until Elsa's birth she resents her big time and plays up to Armando. Very often a Golden Child's whims are constantly satisfied because parents take the easy way out of momentary family conflict. Done repeatedly this usually causes major issues later when sibling rivalry can get more toxic, even deadly.

Elena could also be a Bad Seed. Remember her wish in an earlier episode that Elsa would never come back.

She has the same class prejudices we see in other characters of their milieu. That suits Armando at this time although it annoys her mother and her father-in-law. It's right in line with Angela's and she probably came from somewhere lower in status although we have no exact information about it.

She may have subconscious incestuous feelings toward Armando. I don't think that her suspicions of Angela have anything to do with how much this would hurt Estela.

Estela probably didn't go home all night because she wanted to avoid Armando. Also, she might have wanted to get her head together to confront Angela. To discover your husband having an affair with your best friend must feel like the worst possible betrayal.

That internado is a Magdalene asylum wanna-be. I forgot to include the girls describing the place like a prison and the nuns like correctional officers. What mystifies me about this is why didn't Elsa run when she was informed that this would happen. She is a legal adult and should have decided to wait tables if necessary to escape this.

Padre Reynaldo held back because it is a stock plot device for anyone in his position to try again until it is almost too late.

PECADOS

Thanks, Urban

Best scene of the night: Estela slamming Angela’s face into the nighstand and breaking her nose.

Next best scene: Estela slamming her purse down on Angela’s bed and seeing the fear in Angela’s eyes

Third best scene : any of the countless scenes where Angela was worrying about how her appearance might be affected by her nose having been broken in multiple (yes!) places.

Urban, yes, Elena as a bad seed ! It wouldn't surprise me. Something is not right with her between her hatred for her sister; her love for daddy-o and lying to her husband to protect him; and her sexual issues. I haven’t seen the movie with Patty McCormick in awhile. Might be time to watch it again. As for Elsa, she seems sheltered and immature to me.

The school has that 1940’s convent vibe.

Pecados #9

Jarifa,
I loved Estela's badass scenes! This series has potential for more like it.

I am also hoping that Elsa and Rosa have a Great Escape from this torture camp disguised as a boarding school. This documentary from 1998 outraged people and inspired the film The Magdalene Sisters. These abuses provoked lawsuits that are still ongoing.

Pecdos

URBAN - thank you so much for your recaps. I have fallen a week behind and they are so helpful to staying current. This being hockey season doesn't help, either. ;-)

Elena's coldness might have roots in some sort of abuse as a young girl, or maybe she simply bats for the other team.

It does seem early for Estela to catch Armando and Angela together, but like you said, the writers might have this one chugging along for the younger crowd with shorter attention spans.

Gracias, RGV Chick. Great work capturing all the insanity.

It's time that Chema encounters Yolanda to ask about Marisol. Macario deserves to endure her wrath as well as that of Amparo and all his daughters who should also know about Grace(less).

I hope Eugenio has all the money he needs for the rest of Amparo's life to not feel any loss if he pays 20% more than Fausto offers for Amparo's land. If Macario ends up dead this may not matter because if he doesn't have a will Amparo and her children are likely to get it back.

Pecados

Urban, thank you for that excellent reporting of last night's episode. This is the second bandaged nose we have seen.

I am amazed that Estela found out so quickly that her bff was Armando's lover and that she physically attacked her. Yikes . Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned .

Pecados

Urban, thank you for the fabulous recap; “Monster Superior” was spot on.

Jarifa, “Best scene of the night: Estela slamming Angela’s face into the nightstand and breaking her nose” was my favorite as well!

I greatly underestimated Estela (my bad). Her emotions might take a while to percolate but when she reached her boiling point, she was fire! Angela was fortunate to escape with the rest of her face intact.

Liz, I’m glad Andres is making friends and ascending the corporate ladder at breakneck speed but yes, you are exactly right in that he should have told Remedios about Elsa. I think he is a bit naive and may have thought there was no need as they are just friends? But even friends talk about their significant others. Elsa is in a really, really, dark, depressing place.

“He realized he didn't know her as well as he thought he had”. Buddy, that’s not the half of it. Gerardo should get out now, the writing is clearly on the wall. She doesn’t love him, she doesn’t even love her mother (her hiring the dectective was all about her father, she had no sympathy for Estela, you are right Urban).

Thanks, Urban, for your input on the different characters and all my wondering. You’ve given me a lot to think about. Elena definitely would choose her father over her husband!
I find it funny strange that class means nothing to some of the characters and everything to others.

I did enjoy Estela breaking Angela’s nose and then the hospital visit. I’m going to enjoy her getting even with her former friend and her husband!

Thanks for the info

Camino #77 Part 1

Fausto escorts Daniela through the front door, arm in arm. “Mama” Isa yells, jumping up and down, overjoyed to see her! Welcome home my love Fausto murmurs and as Daniela smiles sweetly, she turns and they kiss. Memo, looking crushed (as though he was run over by his own tractor trailer, credit Rgv Chick) as Chuchita stands with downcast eyes. Fausto rubs salt into Memo’s wound by bragging he has the best family a man could ever wish for. Karen coos that she is glad to see Dani, but when Dani coldly acknowledges her, she asks if Daniela is all right. Daniela said she had the sensation that they were at odds. Karen lies again assuring her they are the best of friends. Isa shows her the poster Memo helped her to make and Dani turns to him and says “thank you Guillermo” unsmilingly but sincerely. JuanPa, looking serious, takes all of this in. Memo is happy they allow him to spend time with his daughter. Fausto, always the party pooper, exaggeratedly tells Memo he knows he is busy and they shouldn’t share/mix his time with Isa with THEIR time as family. Memo and Isa say goodbye with their signature huge winks as he asks Isa to take good care of her mother. He hopes Daniela will regain her memory soon.

Leo is besieged by reporters in the hallway. He strides ahead, purposefully ignoring them but Monica runs up and playing to her audience, grabs and holds him in a lip lock. She whispers to Leo that this will make him famous but he only manages to look furious. She poses, asking the cameramen to take the best picture.

Karen tells Memo that they need to talk, but Memo refuses and immediately dismisses her. He knows that whatever she has to say will be evil and he wants no part of it.

Chuchita is putting the final touches on a chocolate cake loaded with fruit topping that is the size of a small child. She tells JuanPa that Fausto is taking advantage of the situation. JuanPa wants to tell Daniela the truth but Chuchita reminds him that Ana Maria cautioned them against that. JuanPa thinks she is wrong; he argues Daniela has been put in a position where Fausto can manipulate her at his will. JuanPa will not stand for it!

Lola is showing Humberto a magazine where Leo’s picture is prominently featured. She comments Leo was right in giving up his driving since he is already doing so well. Humberto actually smiles…until he turns the page. He mutters how is this possible?? I had already told him!

Daniela and Isabela are sharing hugs and bites of cake when Karen reminds Fausto of a work meeting. Fausto refuses to leave his wife alone but Karen persists. Daniela comments things haven’t changed between them and urges Fausto to go to hell, errr, work. I meant work. JuanPa wants to stay as well but Dani insists he leave too. She has Isa, her best and sweetest medicine right there with her.

Camino #77 Part 2

(Skipped scene 1 of 3, courtesy of Rgv Chick) Gaby advises Lupita to forget about their father; their mother supports them and things are better than ever with Sebas. After Lupita assures that she is very content, she advises Gaby to talk to JP…it’s obvious that she misses him…and she should give him another chance. Gaby loves JP but she can’t stop thinking how he slept with Grace who shows up everywhere! Gaby reminds her of their grandfather’s advice—to love is to forgive.

Back in the studio, an aggravated Leo tells Monica he doesn’t like what’s happening; he wants to go out and announce that there is nothing between them! Monica argues that no one cared that he sang at the concert…the news is that they kissed! If he wants to succeed, he needs to learn the rules of the game. Leo assures her the only thing he wants is to be on stage and sing his songs. Monica coos that will happen but then dangles the carrot; Max wants them to sing a duet. With all the gossip and the public’s interest in them, it will be a hit! Leo points out this is hurting Chuchita, but Monica counters that when he becomes famous he will have to deal with rumors and gossip, and if his novia is not prepared to deal with it, their relationship is doomed.

Ursula, looking the worse for wear, opens her mouth to show the nurse she took her pill. Cesar suddenly appears telling her she needs a plan to get out of there; she must make them believe she isn’t crazy. Ursula has had it; she’s completely fed up! She has even taken her pills to get rid of him. Cesar warns her he is there to help her but if she doesn’t want him there, she will need to deal with everything on her own and will regret it. Largate she tells him, turning and hitting the empty couch. She gets up and flies into Memo’s arms as she flees. When she asks how her son is, an expressionless Memo coldly replies that his son is fine. Ursula is glad that he still worries about her but Memo clarifies that there is no “them”, there is only one thing that unites them - their son. Ursula cries as she wonders if Memo isn’t going to forgive her. She pleads everything she did, all the mistakes she made were because she was afraid of losing him. She caresses him as she adds that she loves him, but Memo backs away.

At the restaurant, Amparo tells Eugenio that she admires Memo because he stays strong for Isabela and Martin, despite everything that is transpiring. Eugenio doesn’t like to see her sad and apologizes but explains he needs to go to the office. When he reminds her of the dinner with Loreta, Amparo tries to beg off, telling him her Spidey sense is tingling (not in those exact words, but you get the picture) and there is something she doesn’t like about her. Eugenio thinks that it’s because Loretta is Este’s mother and assures her that Loreta is not like Este (nope, she’s just the bigger, badder version!) Eugenio finishes his weak argument saying she was Martina’s good friend and he has known her for a long time (fool!).

Loreta is giving her menu selections to the two (top) chefs for the dinner for FOUR people…Este enters and chides her mother for hiring such expensive help. Loreta reminds her that this dinner could change their lives if she is successful in making Eugenio leave that woman.

Camino #77 Part 3

My marriage to Cesar was a living hell a surprisingly lucid Ursula cries to Memo; he beat her horribly. When she found out Cesar was a thief and was being pursued by the police, she decided to take the money she’d saved and leave him. Then she met Memo, and realizing what a good man he was, (so different from Cesar), fell in love with him. Memo admits that he did love her, but he didn’t know her…or that she was married. Ursula explains that in her mind, she was not married; she didn’t have the divorce paper but she had already taken Cesar out of her head (but not out of her bed!). She wanted to tell him the truth, but Cesar found her and threatened her.

Daniela picks up Olivia’s picture and gently asks her daughter who she is. Isabela’s smile disappears as she explains “papa” Fausto told her not to talk to her about the woman because it wouldn’t be good for Daniela. Daniela lovingly explains that she is fine and as she takes Isa’s hand, gently asks for her help to remember what her head can’t. Isabela tells her that the woman died, and now lives in a star. She is my biological mother, Olivia. Daniela next opens the frame to reveal the picture of Olivia and Memo. Isa explains that the other photo is of her parents when they were novios…they loved each other very much and she was born from that love. Daniela is overcome with emotion and as tears fill her eyes, smiles and nods at her beloved daughter.

Elsewhere, Ursula tells a stern Memo that when she couldn’t come up with the money Cesar was asking for, he threatened to destroy her happiness with Memo. Memo reminds her that Cesar walked her to the altar. Ursula explains that Cesar showed up at the last minute of his own volition, she was as shocked as everyone else! She said nothing as she was afraid he would reveal the truth in front of everyone. Memo admonishes she shouldn’t have gone through with the marriage knowing that it wouldn’t be valid. He feels like a fool and knows that she continued to sleep with Cesar. Ursula swears (translation - lies through her teeth) that she didn’t…not even a kiss! Memo should have no doubt that Martín is his son!

Fausto tells Aaron that he needs to continue to follow Dani. If she recovers her memory, everything is at stake if she continues with that trailero.

My mother was in jail but was innocent Isabela tells a wide-eyed Daniela. She tells Daniela she and Memo thought Olivia was innocent as well. When Daniela asks how she got along with Memo the joyous answer is “super-duper!” They were best of friends! Dani would smile a lot when she was with Memo…and they went on trips in the truck, Isa mimicking the truck horn noise as she sweetly smiled away. Isa also tells how they went to live with Memo’s family to help him with her baby brother, Martín. Isa also says Memo is married to Ursula but they fought and now her dad Memo is alone with Martín. Dani asks if Isa is happy with Memo and Isa replies yes, very much! Dani tells her that then she is happy to have Memo be part of their lives.

Camino #77 Part 4

Karen jealously proclaims she can’t stand seeing Fausto play the perfect husband! When she asks about their own plans, Fausto reminds her that those plans went to pot when she lost the baby…his inheritance is at stake…and now he has to rely on that bastard Isa again! Now that Dani doesn’t recall anything that transpired over the last year, he can manipulate her however he wants. Viewerville wonders if these cold, callous words will finally turn Karen against the man whom she considered her soul mate, now her soul crusher.

Daniela is struggling to understand what she is being (spoon) fed. She talks with a serious Chuchita, saying Fausto told her she didn’t trust Memo. Although she doesn’t remember Memo, she feels a special connection with him. Chuchita tells her Memo is a good man and a wonderful father. Dani believes what Chuchita said, but she is confused as to why Fausto told her the opposite. Daniela knows something isn’t right. Chuchita is evasive initially but after Daniela continues to gently prod her, Chuchita admits she and Fausto had serious problems; they didn’t even sleep in the same bedroom! Before the accident, Daniela had told Fausto she wanted a divorce! Daniela’s face mirrors her shock. Ask and you shall receive Daniela!

Clutching the magazine with the “incriminating” pictures of Leo, Humberto scolds Leo for leaving his trucking livelihood to get immersed in scandals and lies. He throws the gossip rag down muttering that if this is how he starts his “career”, he won’t get anywhere! What hurts is that he was unfaithful to Chuchita. He is a Santos and his word means something! Leo tries to explain but to no avail. As the arguing escalates, Leo tells his father not to worry any longer. In order that Humberto won’t feel embarrassed any longer, he is moving out! Leo hurtfully adds that when he and his songs become hits, Humberto will regret it!

Sebas shows Lupita a model of the market for efficiency homes. When Este rudely interrupts, Sebas reminds her that she is still there on a trial basis. Macario tells them that he has an appointment with Fausto and Lupita assumes he is in a rush to sell the property he took from her mother. When Mac greets Este, Lupita realizes that it was Este who filled her father’s head with ideas and that is why Mac went to beat up Sebas!

Memo is sharing his grief and hurt with Amparo, telling her how Daniela kissed Fausto, completely forgetting their love. Amparo kindly advises him that the heart remembers and urges him to fight for Daniela. Then, suddenly, the theme music swells and Daniela arrives, along with Isa and Chuchita! Memo stands, looking very emotional as does Daniela.

Camino #77 Part 5

Lupita and Sebastian disparage Este but Macario defends her since Este warned him about the lying rat that Sebas is. Lupita retorts that the only lying rat there is him (Mac)! Chema told her that he had seen him with another woman! (However, it wasn’t Yolanda as Lupita mistakenly thinks. It was the very quick and fleet of foot bachelorette #3 that Chema saw). Max reminds her that he is free and can do whatever he wants; he doesn’t need to offer any excuses. When Mac insults Lupita and Amparo for not hiding their acts of love, Sebas yells that he will not allow him to disrespect Lupita. They get into a shouting match until Eugenio arrives and holds him back. When Eugenio is told that Mac is there to see Fausto, Eugenio barks that Macario go to his office so they can talk.

Amparo is happy to see Daniela who clearly has no idea who she is. They shake hands as Isa explains Daniela doesn’t recognize her and introduces them. Daniela starts to apologize but Amparo smiles and says there is no need. Memo smiles his happiness as Isabela runs into his arms, Chuchita smiling in the background. Daniela explains she was going to call but decided to come. She would like to talk with Memo if he has time. Memo replies that, for her, he has all the time in the world!

Eugenio is surprised that Macario wants to meet with Fausto when they had already agreed that Macario would sell him the property. Macario says no…he still needs to see how much Fausto will offer. Eugenio retorts that Macario is just making excuses to stop him from giving the property back to Amparo. Macario doesn’t care what he thinks or does, he just wants to get the most money he can from the land. Eugenio tells him to go ahead and talk to Fausto. He will prepare the purchase agreement and expects him to sign it tomorrow.

Memo and Dani meet in the quarters where Dani and Isa were staying. She is feeling the room’s aura, gently touching flowers, taking everything in. Dani couldn’t believe it when Chuchita told her she had come to stay here. Memo tells her she was very happy there…and her things are still there in case she wants to take them. Dani thinks the place is nice, but what surprises her is that she was having problems with Fausto to the point that she asked him for a divorce. She thinks of Fausto and, in her head, is the memory of her love for him. Memo offers to tell her what she had shared about Fausto, but Dani is not there to talk about Fausto; she wants to talk about their daughter and Olivia.

Sebastian tells Este she continues to be the worst version of herself…destroying everything in her path! Lupita then tells Sebastian that Este blackmailed Gaby to try and ensure Lupita and Sebastian broke up. Este tells Sebas that she only did it because she loves him and wanted him back. Sebas makes it clear that he would NEVER go back to her even if they were the last two living in the universe!!

Diana

Camino #77 Part 6

Memo has shown a clearly emotional Daniela Olivia’s letter. When he offers to show Dani the DNA test results, Dani doesn’t think it’s necessary. Memo shares that he never expected Olivia‘s news; it changed his life…but for the better. When he adds that he loves Isa with all his heart, Dani tells him that she looks into his eyes and knows it’s true. Dani then tells Memo that Isa shared something that left her very uneasy…why was Olivia in prison? Memo explains that he didn’t know that…it was she and Fausto who made that discovery. When Memo worries about saying too much, Dani tells him that she lost the most important year of her life! She woke up in the hospital and her daughter already knew she was adopted, that he was her father, that she has cousins and uncle, that her bio mother was in prison…and that she was leaving her husband! Dani doesn’t care what AnaM said; this is her life and she wants Memo to help her understand everything that happened! Memo returns her look, admiration and love reflected in his eyes.

(Skipped scene 2 of 3, courtesy of Rgv Chick) Isa tells Chema not to be sad. She explains that Chema is sad because Amparo and Macario will no longer be together and Chema feeling he will no longer have a family. Amparo understands how Chema feels. Chema tells her that he tries not to think about his father leaving, but then he remembers him and he feels like crying. Amparo assures him that even though they are not together, they will always love him. He will always have a family there that will love and protect him.

Sebas tells Este to get her things and leave; she no longer works there! Este retorts that Karen hired her and he has no authority. Este tells Lupita that she is sure Karen will be on her side. Lupita calls Este ridiculous and as she turns on her heel, Este utters an angry cry of frustration.

Memo is finishing telling Dani how the man set Olivia up and had her sent to prison for a crime she didn’t commit. The worst part is that Olivia thought she had lost their child; then she became ill with cancer and she let herself die to be with her child. They’ve been trying to find that man. He tells her about Zulema dying and they were left without leads. Then he tells her about Sandra who cared for Olivia and was the one who took Isa to Dani…but they don’t know where she is.

Sebas confronts Karen and demands Karen fire Este. If she doesn’t, he will talk to his father and tell him she is Fausto’s lover. Karen quickly tells him to call Este in; she is done at the company!

Memo explains that he promised Isa he would clear her mother’s name and he will fulfill that promise. Dani tells him he can count on her to help him because this is important to her too.

Before they discuss the property, Fausto wants to talk about the trailero. Macario is very willing to go in with whatever Fausto has planned for Memo. Fausto asks why Memo left Ursula and Macario tells him the whole story. Mac then mentions that Ursula went cuckoo and ended up in the nut house…and she probably won’t get out of there.

Diana

Camino #77 Part 7 (Last)

Este thinks Karen is only going to pretend to scold her, but Karen bluntly tells her she is fired! Este begs for her job, but it doesn’t benefit Karen to be at odds with Sebas…so Este can gather her things and leave!

Chuchita mentions that Leo kissed Monica. Amparo chides him for it and Chuchita threatens that if Leo continues pretending to be Monica’s novio, he can forget about her! Leo tells her that he is doing all of this for their future and takes his guitar and gits!

(Skipped scene 3 of 3, courtesy of Rgv Chick) Monica and Max talk about how the media went wild with the kiss. Monica is willing to continue the charade but doubts Leo will. Max tells her Leo will have to learn to deal with the media if he wants to succeed. Monica asks Max to talk to Leo…and make sure that Leo knows he owes it all to her!

Macario tells Fausto that Eugenio made him a better offer for the land. Fausto makes a call and asks someone to come in. Ahhh, it’s Macario’s gambling friend Aaron. Aaron gives Fausto a fistful of IOU’s. Stoopid Macario is surprised to see Aaron and apparently had no idea he works for Fausto!

Karen is cutting out alphabet letters; it appears some sort of anonymous, threatening letter is being assembled.

Macario apparently didn’t read the fine print (or perhaps even the large print) about the interest rate. He thinks he should deal with Eugenio so he can at least keep some of the money after paying Aaron back. Aaron then reveals to the thick as a brick Macario that it is Fausto that he owes the money to. Macario realizes he fell right into their rat trap. Fausto points out that he has just about paid for all the property.

Daniela is meeting Chema and Martin for the “first” time. Memo tells Dani that Isa thinks she is old enough to take care of Martín. Dani is smiling sweetly at Martin and congratulates Memo, acknowledging she knows he and his wife are no longer together. Memo explains that Ursula is ill and can’t care for Martín (now there’s an understatement!). Dani tells Isa that they should go. Amparo asks to talk to Dani and inquires if she will continue using the rented house. Dani looks thoughtful and tells her that she just found out that she was getting a divorce which is why she had come there. If she made that decision, it must have been for good reason…so it is very probable she and Isa will continue to live there! Amparo thinks that though Dani has lost her memory, she continues to be a strong, sensible woman.

Heartfelt appreciation to and for Rgv Chick's providing all of the dialog with her omnipresent wit and wisdom. Her generosity is limitless and her kindness is inspirational...It is she who makes my recaps possible.

Beyond that, Part 1 had disappeared and Rgv Chick responded to my distress e-mail immediately and has already reposted it. Her dedication and caring is awesome. Thank you amiga.

I am pleased that Daniela is thinking, listening and asking all the right questions. A hopeful night.

Thank you Diana and Rgv Chick! Diana, your recap is fantastic as always! Sprinkled with humor and radiating that hope that you felt watching as the tide starts to turn ever so slightly back into Memo's favor despite Falso's manipulations!

The dark cloud was Humberto once again demonstrating how not to parent and how not to love someone as he laid into Leo for an impression he got from a tabloid photo without allowing him even 3 words edgewise! It's pathetic...and hard to believe they are betraying a tight-knit family who treats each other so harshly. IRL this is the family where all the kids leave home and never speak to their parents again and everyone ends up estranged.

When the shoes were dropping on Mac and he was realizing he never read the fine print of his agreement with Aaron all I was thinking is my guess was right and he wouldn't have read his divorce papers closely either!!! Although Falso's lawyer probably would have since getting the property was his only objective...

I enjoyed watching Este get thrown out of the company and I wonder what Karen is up to! In the end, who if anybody, will she be loyal to? I keep thinking she's playing Falso and will throw him under the bus but then I remember the scenes with the affair reveal to Dani and how cold and calculating she was. That's a lot of emotion to fake if she isn't still truly obsessed with Satan....I can't wait to find out how these baddies are going to end up being their own doing!! Only a couple more weeks till we find out!!!

I meant: 'I can't wait to find out how these baddies are going to end up being their own undoing!'

Gracias, amigas, especially for the dialogue. I did find that a bit confusing.

So for all practical purposes Fausto already owns the land and Macario is a bigger idiot than we thought. How much smarter is Fausto than we estimated? Not sure. I think that Eugenio can still beat this but Fausto's greed will not be satisfied no matter how much money is at stake. Nor will it buy off his hatred of Memo, Daniela, and Isabella.

Humberto is very naive about the entertainment business, but I wonder about this particular plot point and why Televisa allowed the writers to call this industry behavior out. I don't think that Monica's career is fading as sojme here did a few weeks ago, but she may have something to hide.

Loreta should be in for a very big shock over selling her daughter's car for a lavish dinner that Eugenio will not be impressed by.

Camino

Thanks so much, Diana and Rgv Chick. That was a great recap of a great episode. Daniela and Memo together at the restaurant had me smiling. You could feel that they loved each other, although Daniela may not realize it. And how much fun to watch Macario realize he was set up and will not be getting rich.

Also fun to see Lupita realize Este told her dad. And then she turns and tells Sebastian about the bribery!

Imagine how much fun it will be to see Karen and Fausto get what’s coming to them.

Meanwhile, the dinner. I can’t imagine what Loreta has planned. But Eugenio seems pretty naive about her true character. Amparo already suspects something! I hope Eugenio isn’t taken in by whatever Loreta has planned!

Fausto being so fake loving to Daniela was sickening. I imagine everyone but Daniela and Isabela were feeling the same way as me. But that means a year ago they were a loving couple, at least on Dani’s part. Did Memo cause all the discord? Or did Dani just realize how happy she was with Memo.

Humberto needs to lighten up. He doesn’t wait for explanations.

Hope things will gradually be revealed now!

Darcy, thank you for your always kind words and support!

"I wonder what Karen is up to! In the end, who if anybody, will she be loyal to?" And that is the million dollar question! Karen's multitude of layers of evil are continually being peeled back but we do not know what is at her core. As you sagely noted "That's a lot of emotion to fake if she isn't still truly obsessed with Satan....". Her decades long obsession with Fausto has been met with continual rejection. And after her miscarriage he again scathingly casts her aside. That said, I think her twisted feelings for him will ultimately rule out revenge. But I could be very wrong.

Humberto has been unduly harsh with Leo and he needs a wake up call. I have just the right person to do it too! Lola who has already proved she is far more than a pretty face, needs to tell her obtuse, self righteous almost novio to get over it and give his son the support he so sorely wants and needs.

I loved the expression of disbelief on Este's face when kicked to the curb! Beat it kid, you're through!

Dear Diana and Chickie, thank you . I love the way the two of skillfully weave a flowing tale as this show moves along .

Grinning Fausto and smirking Karen are infuriating to look at. They always think that they are the smartest people in the room .

Well, Evil Mac thinks his schemes are brilliant . I wonder if he will now attempt to kidnap Martin in his desperation . Everyone is focused on Dani's amnesia, so an opportunity may arise for that snake Mac to abduct that sweet baby boy.

I have no doubt that Dani will suddenly remember her deep bond of love for Memo. Maybe he'll be scratching his beard and gazing at Dani with puppy dog eyes one day, and the light bulb over her head will go on !

Remember we spring forward this weekend as we go ahead one hour .

Good morning Urban and thank you.

"So for all practical purposes Fausto already owns the land and Macario is a bigger idiot than we thought. How much smarter is Fausto than we estimated? Not sure". Neither am I.

I have a feeling shrewd Eugenio will come up with something to regain Amparo's land. And if not, things might just take care of themselves as it is possible neither Fausto or Macario will live to see the end of this novela so...

So exactly what is Loreta planning?? To whisk Amparo and Eugenio off to Paris for the dinner? Is she hiring Beyonce to sing? I am really looking forward to this and am fervently hoping whatever scheme she is concocting causes her to fall flat on her face.

Diana

Liz, thank you for your kind words!

"Also fun to see Lupita realize Este told her dad. And then she turns and tells Sebastian about the bribery!" I'm smiling as you exactly right as it was great to see Este's fall. She totally deserves what she got. That said, I still have a bit of a queasy feeling as I do fear Sebastian has some unresolved feelings for her. But if her recent antics have squashed those feelings, I'm all for it.

"Daniela and Memo together at the restaurant had me smiling. You could feel that they loved each other, although Daniela may not realize it" was perfect! Their love is the heart of this story and one of the most believable I've seen in some time. Heartwarming and hopeful.

"Humberto needs to lighten up. He doesn’t wait for explanations". Very well said!

Thank you so much Susanlynn!

Your musing on Macario that "...I wonder if he will now attempt to kidnap Martin in his desperation. Everyone is focused on Dani's amnesia, so an opportunity may arise for that snake Mac to abduct that sweet baby boy" made me shudder. With everything else going on, I'd momentarily set aside that sordid plotline possibility. I've always loathed kidnapping storylines and this would be no exception!

I think we are all holding onto the promise of Daniela and Memo's true love to triumph over all of this evil. It just can't come fast enough for me!!

Estela stared coldly at Angela as the slut woke up, shook in fear, and begged her not to hurt her. Estela sarcastically asked “Why would I hurt you? You're my best friend, aren't you? What do you think will happen if I grab your nose?” She put her hand in that direction, shaped like a hand in an old-style horror movie and Angela shrank back. The rest was somewhat incoherent but Estela did not cease to accuse her of the worst betrayal she had ever experienced. Angela begged her forgiveness, saying she thought she was in love with Armando. Estela demanded to know “What do you know about love? You are a shameless disgrace!” and made the same threatening gesture. Angela reached for the button to summon the nurse. Estela stood up, composed her appearance, left the room politely, and the nurse never knew what actually happened.

Lamberto went to see Silvia at her job and told her he discovered that Angela had lied to him. Two different versions of her “accident” had been told to him. Someone was hiding the truth and he was sure there would be enough grounds for divorce. A customer needed her so Silvia went back to work.

The younger Quiroga children got home from school; Estela was not at home. Flor sent them to wash their hands for dinner. Domingo wanted to ride his bike but she told him he should eat first. Estela drove through the gate and was trying to park her car when Domingo came out on his bike at a 90-degree angle to the path she was backing up. The rear wheel of the car had run over the rear wheel of the bike. She had not see him and ran into the bike causing him to fall. She got out of the car and ran over to him. The rest of the family heard her panicked cries and came out. Armando put the bike out of the way and checked Domingo, who did not open his eyes. He yelled at the others to call an ambulance, then yelled “See what you've done?” at Estela.

Silvia reminded Lamberto that she did not want to talk about their relationship until he was divorced. She didn't want any gossip about being seen together until then. He had to find out the truth and act on it first.

Domingo regained consciousness saying he could not move his leg. Armando yelled at Elena about the ambulance and it arrived a moment later. The EMT ran in and Armando told him “My wife ran over my son and he can't move his legs.” As the EMTs ran in Armando dragged Estela out telling her “You better hope nothing is wrong or I swear you will regret this!”

Martin and Sofie were worried about Domingo. Flor tried to keep them inside the house. She guided them downstairs to watch television.

The lead EMT said that someone should ride with the boy. Estela moved to but was held back by Armando, who ordered Elena to go and then blamed Estela for this. She cried as the ambulance pulled away.

Aurora and Gerardo were visiting their mother and Aurora started asking questions, starting with who her visitor was. Angela lied, saying it was someone about her insurance. Gerardo told her he would take care of the bills and then his phone rang. It was Armando informing him that Domingo was on his way to emergency. Elena was with him; no further details. He left his mother's room.

Estela told Flor what happened. She was crying but not out of her mind. Armando came in. He answered her questions but refused to allow her to go to the hospital. He told her to shut up several times then locked her in the bedroom.

Things could only become worse as Aurora found Elena near the front desk. She asked her how Domingo was and Elena asked her how she knew. Aurora said she was with Gerardo when Armando called him. Aurora asked what happened and Elena told her that her mother had run over Domingo. That her mother had come home after being with her boyfriend (!) and ran over Domingo as he came out on his bike. Aurora didn't believe this at first. Elena was completely convinced especially because her father would not allow her mother to come to the hospital. She may have convinced Aurora who then had to answer a call from the Quirogas' land line. It was Flor, telling her that Armando wanted her to take the younger kids to the Monteros' house for her to look after them while he was on his way back to the hospital. Aurora told her she was on her way.

Guillermina ran after the padre to tell him about this. He crossed himself with a sigh.

Armando went into his study to call Dr Issac Leonidas, telling the receptionist it was urgent.

Flor escorted the kids to the Montero house. The housekeeper had been informed. They had a suitcase with them.

Armando went to the bedroom and told Estela she wasn't going out and that he considered her a danger to his children. She said it was an accident but he denied that because... “You are crazy. Did you know you were capable of killing your children?” She denied that only for him to reply “When I married you I thought you would be a good mother, a good wife and companion for me but I was mistaken. You don't know how to take proper care of my children so you should not be surprised about the decisions I make.” He shoved her in front of the mirror and said “See what you've become? Do you think I deserve that? The seized her head and threw her on the bed. Then he locked the door on his way out. She began quietly cursing him.

Remedios invited Andres to a concert. He accepted; had no classes that night. It was to begin at 8PM.

Armando returned with Dr Issac Leonidas, who was dressed in white. He was there to take Estela to a mental hospital. He directed his two assistants to escort her out. One stuck a needle into her arm before they dragged her out protesting as they passed Armando, whose facial expression was about anything but concern. Padre Reynaldo arrived just in time to see her put into the hospital's white van. Armando would not answer his questions as Estela begged the padre to help her because she was not crazy.

Carlos arrived at the Montero house to help Aurora [No way does she deserve this guy.]. Sofie and Martin got worried and Aurora tried to reassure them that Domingo would be alright because Gerardo was operating.

In the hospital's waiting room Elena handed Armando some coffee and asked why Estela was not with him. He told her that she was in shock and he called Dr Leonidas to take her to his clinic. Gerardo came out in his scrubs to tell then that Domingo was out of surgery and in his room. Both legs were affected and one had multiple fractures. His condition was delicada. He allowed Armando and Elena to enter Domingo's room.

Armando sat on the chair and talked to Domingo who asked for his mother. Armando told him that his mother was so nervous she had to take a pill and couldn't leave the house. Elena said he would see her when he's better. He asked if he would be able to walk again. Armando hesitated before telling him that it was a matter of time. He was to obey the doctors in the meantime. He also said that Quirogas are all very strong.

Hector went to the Quiroga house to see Estela but Flor told him she was not home. He had not heard about Domingo and Flor didn't know which hospital he was in. He got a bad vibe from this and left.

Elsa asked once again to be able to call home because she had a premonition that something had happened to her mother. She was denied and told that she would develop the virtue of patience.

Andres had a good time at the concert but when Remedios kissed him on the lips he told her that he loved Elsa. They agreed to be friends.

Armando went home and told Flor that Domingo will be alright. Also that Estela was in a psych hospital “for her nerves” so she would be there a while. Elena would be back soon and in the morning she (Flor) was to get the other kids from the Montero house and take them to school. Flor got the same bad vibe as Hector.

Aurora told Flor that Sofie and Martin were angels. When they came downstairs they asked about their mother. Flor told them that she was at the hospital and they needed to hurry to not be late for school. The doorbell rang and Aurora told the maid – Rocio – that Carlos had come to take her to the hospital.

Luis (Andres' boss) got a call from a lawyer – Guillermo Aceves – informing him that he was the heir to a fortune from his great-grandmother Alfonsina who had just died at the age of 104. He was the last living relative she had and he would get everything. They had to meet in Chihuahua, Chihuahua (258km from Creel).

Armando went to the psychiatric hospital where Leonidas told him that Estela was calm. Armando told him that she was to stay there for una temporada. They went to her white room where she kept repeating that she wanted to see her son. Armando entered and told her that his condition was muy grave because she had destroyed his legs. On purpose. He didn't want her anywhere near his children. She accused him of locking her up because she would not be silent about anything including his affair with Angela. He had the audacity to ask how she would know that and she said she had caught them in the act. Dr Leonidas was standing just inside the door and heard every word. She begged the doctor to listen then accused Armando of being dangerous to their children. “You are much worse than I thought,” Armando said to her. The doctor did a side eye look at Armando, who had his back to him and did not look at him as he left the room. The doctor looked at Estela before exiting as she kept saying “Let me out of here.”

Andres and Luis looked up flight information. Luis had a fear of planes because he had never been on one. Andres never had either but had no fear of them. Luis asked Andres if he would accompany him.

Fuentes talked to the padre about the murder investigation. He told him about finding Armando unconscious on the turnoff.

Angela was released from hospital and refused to allow Lamberto to drive her home despite that he ended up paying the bill). She had bruises under her eyes. Carlos and Aurora took her home.

Elsa told Rosa that she was very worried about her mother. Rosa warned her about how inflexible these nuns were about their rules. She explained that her grandmother died the year before and she wasn't informed until a week later [Author's Note: This sounds deliberately done to avoid a request from Rosa or someone else to allow her to go home for the funeral.] She told she had been sent there when they caught her with one joint of weed. Her home was a greater hell than this place. Elsa told her about Andres and how her father shipped her there because of class differences. This sounded unreal to Rosa.

Carlos began taking his leave of the Monteros but Angela objected to being addressed as “Suegrita”. Carlos apologized and left. Aurora was offended on his behalf and Angela said “I don't want him for you.” They told her about Domingo and Estela. When Lamberto heard about Estela he was shocked because he knew that the facility was a psychiatric hospital. When Angela heard Estela's name she got nervous. However, she was sufficiently self-aware to say that she was shocked because Estela was her best friend. She insisted on going up to her room and both her children escorted her.

Elena was in Domingo's room asking if he wanted to watch a movie. She said he wanted to see his mother. She told him their mother was not well because of how upset she was about the accident. She was on medication. This did not satisfy Domingo.

Hector could not contact Estela and got sent to voice mail, probably for the nth time. He confided in Silvia and when Carlos arrived to remind him about a drive to see relatives the next day he said he couldn't go with him. He was worried about Estela. Carlos suggested that she might be in the hospital with Domingo so Hector left to go there.

Another doctor explained to Armando and Elena that Domingo could go home in a few days. He would have to be kept immobilized [Good luck with that.] and eventually he will be able to walk again with the right therapy. He should be surrounded by family and friends because being bedridden is difficult for kids. Armando thanked him and they shook hands. When he left Elena told Armando that Domingo doesn't stop asking for his mother. Armando said to keep telling him that the doctor (Leonidas) will not allow it.

Luis was nervous and going on about why any relative had to live so far away. Andres suggested they go to the pharmacy for pills but Luis was not willing. Their flight was called for Gate 13, which made him more nervous. Andres told him not to lose his inheritance over superstition and got him to his feet.

Domingo and Armando were watching something on television when Hector arrived with a blue gift bag. Armando was not pleased to see him. When Domingo said he was bored Hector gave him coloring books and markers. Domingo thanked him and Hector asked about his mother. Armando told Hector they would talk outside. When Domingo started saying what Elena told him Armando handed him the remote and told Hector they would talk in the corridor. Hector looked at him with suspicion on his mind and as soon as they were in the corridor he demanded to know where Estela was. Armando told him this was none of his business.

Gerardo told his mother that Estela was in a psych facility, adding that this was for the shock pf the accident. Lamberto didn't stay. Gerardo asked Aurora to leave so he could talk to their mother alone. After she left he told Angela he didn't believe her story about how her accident happened. She continued to lie. Everything of the last couple of days didn't add up so he insisted upon the truth.

Pecados

Urban, just excellent. “Of all the nerve “indeed!

This was a very depressing episode. A downward, lightning speed spiral. Avenging angel Estela barely started her get mad AND get even tour when the dreaded manicomio plotline appears!

Armando is a monster. “He shoved her in front of the mirror and said “See what you've become? Do you think I deserve that?” His grabbing her hair and shoving her on the bed was horrible to watch. Yet that pales in comparison to him telling Estela Domingo’s condition was far worse than it is. Another evil doctor and imprisonment in the mental institution bodes poorly for poor Estela.

Gerardo, doctor extraordinaire, is astute about most, except for whom he chose as his wife.

The one bright spot was Andres and Luis’ sure to be excellent adventure.

Thank heavens Hector knows much is amiss and is on the case. Cesar not only holds his own in his scenes with Jorge, but in my humble opinion, even outshines him, a difficult feat.

Urban, thank you for doing this despite the very upsetting events.

Loreta's "brilliant idea" is to show Eugenio how very elegant and sophisticated she is compared to Amparo. She's ordering the chefs to make all kinds of fancy foods (i.e., escargot, etc) that Amparo won't know to make a fool of her in front of him. In her feeble little mind, this will cause him to drop Amparo and turn to her. Lol ... what a maroon!
What she doesn't know is that the fact that Amparo is so down to earth is one of the main reasons he fell in love with her. Silly rabbit!

Pecados

Thanks, Urban, I really appreciate getting filled in on details that are way past my Spanish skills.

Armando really showed his true colors last night. He is a cruel man. And putting Estela in a mental hospital was beyond cruel. I know she will get out eventually but I would guess Armando has no intention of letting her out. He’s trying to protect himself. And it seems like the priest still hasn’t revealed all to the police!

So Angela doesn’t really like Carlos. That surprised me. I assumed he was socially acceptable!

It really looked to me like Domingo ran his bike into the side of Estela’s car.

I wonder if Elena will continue to side with her dad. And is that where she got the idea that her mother has a boyfriend.

I’m glad Adres told Remedios about Elsa. And Remedios seemed to take it well. I was afraid Andres was moving on now that he’s a city boy.

When Luis got the phone call about an inheritance I was sure it was a hoax. Let’s hope not but I’m glad Andres is going with him just in case. Do our airports have gate 13’s? I never noticed. But the building my dad worked in didn’t have a 13th floor, just skipped to 14. I think a lot of the buildings in NYC were like that!

Enough people seem to know where Estela is. I picture Hector rescuing her. Hope it’s tonight!

Thanks, all.

Angela doesn't like Carlos because she doesn't like his father's politics. Hector cares about people, which she clearly doesn't. Except insofar as they gossip about her. Carlos is a decent guy and is good to Aurora. He works with his father and will eventually inherit. What more can any parent ask for?

Angela fears the loss of her fading beauty. That and money are all Angela cares about. The other possibility is that she is of the mindset that if-iI'm-not -happy-then-nobody-can-be-happy. How many times have we seen that?

Armando has more issues than The New York Times. They seemed to have sprouted up after Elsa and Andres got together but the familiarity between him and the doctor suggests that Estela is not the first person ever incarcerated in that manicomio.

Thanks, Urban.

All I can say is this episode was bleak.

Urban, thank you for spinning out every detail as the bad get worse .

Wow, I was surprised at Estella discovering that her bff was her husband's lover so quickly and reacting by smashing Angela . However, Armando has decided to turn the tables and make Estela the villain and make her disappear. Luckily, Hector and Padre Will not buy his story .

Hmmm ...what is going on with this trip that Andres is making with his boss ?

Trying to remember all your names, but thanks to everyone for the “welcome”, I am happy to have the pleasure of your interpretations of this show.

I agree with all the comments and truly hope Karma is in the cards for these sick and twisted evil ones.

Macario absolutely sickens me. The only thing I have heard him say to date that actually was funny was “ku ku Ku Ku” when talking to Frosto ( my name for Fausto - he is cold as Ice ) about Ursula.

Looking forward to the remaining episodes and kinda hope that the wardrobe department up’s Dani’s clothing as her memory returns, - did you all take notice of a floral blouse tonight, soft and flowing and much more sweet than her stern suits.

You are all so amazing at explaining the dialogue. Thank you for answering my original questions— I totally missed that Karen was talking about the sleepiness, etc. before Dani lost her babies. That pulled it together for me.

I’m still hoping JuanPa or Chewy thinks to look at the surveillance camera footage & then they can take it to the Policía— but that’s my wishful thinking. I still can’t shake how Frosto totally left as Dani lay there bleeding on the stairs & when JP walks in & screams for an ambulance etc, Frosto comes out looking shocked. I could never. He is doing exactly what a great actor does - makes us believe he is so cruel and calculating and we all hate him because he’s doing such a good job on the character. Impressive cast.

Love reading everyone’s take on the scenes. It’s been so enjoyable. :)

Camino #78 Part 1

In her quest for the truth, Daniela’s conversation with Karen takes a circuitous route. Daniela begins by telling her “amiga” she believes in Karen and has faith she would never lie to her. She looks directly into her eyes and tells Karen they are the best of friends; she surely knows full well Dani doesn’t keep secrets from her. A slightly perturbed Karen asks where all of this is going. Dani relates that Chuchita told her she had asked Fausto for a divorce and that she had left the house! Without the slightest hesitation, Karen says “yes”. Dani asks why she made that decision; how did things deteriorate to that point? But before Karen can answer, Fausto, looming over them on the staircase, interrupts assuring Daniela she doesn’t need to ask Karen. He is there and will answer her. He asks Karen to leave them alone.

Loreta, weaving her treacherous web, congratulates Amparo and Eugenio on their engagement. When she asks to see the ring, Amparo is genuinely astonished and asks what ring is she talking about?

Memo is holding the adorable, enchanted Martin, swaddled in a blue blanket. Bernarda, Nelida’s granddaughter, (thank you Rgv Chick) tells Memo her grandmother asked she bring him a letter they found on the floor. After he opens it we see what is surely Karen’s handiwork as Memo reads: “The man who destroyed Olivia’s life is very close to Daniela and your daughter. If you want to know who it is, look for Sandra at this address”. Memo is wide eyed impactada.

Fausto tells Dani that Isa told him that they had gone to see Memo…so he naturally assumes that it was he who told her she had asked him for a divorce. As he curses Memo, Daniela wonders why he detests Memo and why he told her not to trust Memo whom she thinks is a good person. Fausto asks how much that guy told her…did he tell her that he came into their lives with lies? That he came looking for a job without revealing Isa is his daughter? Did he tell her how he deceived her by winning her trust…and seducing her? Tears streaming down her face, a distraught Daniela queries if he realizes the monstrosities that he is saying! Crocodile tears staining his cheeks, Fausto adds that the trailero drove her crazy and she fell right at his feet…she fell in love with him. Dani can’t believe that is true, but Fausto insists that it is! He spits out that Memo didn’t even bother to confess that he only got close to her to take Isa when they went to hotel to hide! Dani argues that can’t be! She knows what kind of woman she is, a woman with principles who would be incapable of betraying him! Fausto says she did just that; she was going to leave him for that sorry excuse of a man. When they discovered that Memo was Isa’s father, she sent him to hell for making a fool of her in such a cruel manner! She wanted the truth and here it is: it was her fault that their marriage failed…she got so obsessed with that trailero that she lost all logic and reason. She became Memo’s lover and broke his (Fausto’s) heart!

A surprised Amparo continues to question why Loreta would mention an engagement. Loreta thought Eugenio had already asked Amparo to marry him. Amparo smiles, declaring it’s too soon to which Eugenio readily agrees (not quite the truth we gently admonish). Loreta also agrees that they should take their time…she got married three times and always to the wrong man. Apparently, the three strikes you’re out rule does not apply to Loreta. Amparo shares that she just got divorced and she wants to enjoy this new stage in her life. When Loreta advises that Amparo shouldn’t get married, Eugenio looks sharply at her and states there is no need to be so drastic. Loreta tells them that there is no need for a paper when there is love; when she says that marriage is the precursor to failure, she knows what she is talking about.

Camino #78 Part 2

Daniela apologizes to Fausto and the lying worm tells her he already forgave her because he loves her from the bottom of his heart. In a bile inducing moment, Fausto kneels and implores Daniela not to break up the family and the home they built together; he doesn’t want to lose her. Dani begs him not to cry, it’s breaking her heart. Fausto completes his nauseating performance by actually saying he wishes he could also lose his memory so he could forget this pain that is killing him!

Memo has the poison pen letter and gets a text giving him the location. We see Karen evil smiling.

Karen thinks that when Dani and Memo find out what Fausto did to Olivia, everyone will turn their backs on him; and he will come begging to her to help him…willing to accept her money and love.

Fausto says it felt good to know that when she awoke at the hospital, Daniela needed him again. Dani tells him that he is her husband, the man she was always in love with, the man of her life. Fausto is glad the accident happened; it may sound bad but when Dani awoke, she was in love with him. (Bad? This is sickening!) He misses her because she will always be the woman of his life.

Yolanda, wearing a leopard print, arm baring cut out shirt with matching earrings mutters she should have gone with Macario; she knew those people couldn’t be trusted. Macario doesn’t want to talk about it. When she tells him that he shouldn’t go out at this hour, Macario threatens that if she is going to turn into another bruja like Amparo, she is going to ruin what they have and he won’t marry her! (As if you ever intended to viewerville mutters). And with that, Macario storms out.

JuanPa, hands clenched in a fist, signals his entrance with a cough and a terse buenos noches. Fausto glares angrily as JuanPa asks Daniela if she is all right. Fausto tells him to leave them alone but the answer is no! Daniela, in tears, begs they continue this later. Her head hurts and she is exhausted. When Dani’s back is turned, JuanPa menacingly whispers how dare you kiss my sister! When Fausto tells him that she is his wife, JuanPa argues that she isn’t…she asked him for a divorce. Fausto tells him to butt out, but JuanPa will not allow him to hurt Dani again. He asks what they were talking about; so Fausto tells him that Dani was very upset because of what she can’t remember and he was trying to calm her. JP argues that it looked like the contrary since Dani looked very upset.

A hatless Leo is strumming his guitar and singing a new song, sadly and slightly off key. Someone yells that he stop; he needs to let them sleep. He is highly emotional, scrolling through his phone, looking at pictures of him and Chuchita, and him with his family. He starts crying and kisses the picture of him with Chuchita.
sleep!

Camino #78 Part 3

Memo is looking for Leo so Humberto tells him he no longer lives there…he went to make his own life. Dour, judgmental Humberto claims he isn’t acting like a Santos, he stopped being a man of his word and honor. Memo is surprised, having never heard him talk so harshly. Humberto justifies that Leo is mesmerized with being an artist and is going down the wrong path. Humberto asks what Memo wanted to talk to Leo about…so Memo shows him the letter voicing his concern and confusion.

Loreta toasts to the happy couple as she rolls her eyes. Loreta tries to get Eugenio to give Este her job back but Eugenio will not interfere with his son’s decision. While she is sorry Este lost her job, Amparo does voice her opinion that Este is getting out of hand. She is somewhat stubborn and impulsive and it’s affecting her daughters which Amparo will not allow. Loreta seems surprised and assures her that she will talk to Este.

Meanwhile, said not so dearest daughter is at this very moment in Sebastian’s office, tipping over and breaking furniture. Out of control, Este screams “I hate you” and with an evil self-satisfied smirk, sits at Sebastian’s desk, opens his computer and erases his presentation!

Sebastian and Lupita are with Gaby at a club. Sebastian is ecstatic! He is finally rid of Este! Gaby cannot wait for JuanPa to arrive so she can forgive him. Then, Sebastian gets a text saying JuanPa cannot come as he doesn’t want to leave Daniela home alone with Fausto. Gaby decides she will go there.

Memo shows Humberto the letter and thinks that the most important thing is that they find Sandra. Humberto wonders who could have sent it and suggests Memo not trust anonymous letters. Next he ill-advisedly suggests Memo throw it away and forget about it! Memo wisely disregards this not so sage advice.

Dani is crying to JuanPa that she betrayed her husband. She wonders what kind of woman she is. What sort of mother falls in love with her daughter’s biological daughter? JuanPa firmly but gently states he doesn’t know what Fausto told her but he is sure it is all a lie. When she asks if she fell in love with Memo, JuanPa’s silence speaks volumes. Daniela wonders how she forgot her values and put her daughter’s stability at risk. JuanPa gently tells Daniela that Fausto is taking advantage of the situation…he is using her memory loss to make her feel guilty; he is manipulating her!

Back at the million-dollar meal, Amparo thinks it’s funny that they serve cheese sauce in bread. The escargot arrives and Eugenio shows Amparo how to eat them (think slippery little suckers from Pretty Woman). Loreta starts to smirk but Amparo does quite well. Amparo likes them but would prefer tacos of (some type of) worms. After they laugh about it Eugenio smiles happily, pointing out how much he is in love with this woman…she helps him enjoy life. Te amo Eugenio says and we have no doubt of his sincerity. We happily sense Loreta’s plan is backfiring, at least for now.

Camino #78 Part 4

JuanPa is trying to comfort Daniela with the truth that she fell in love with Memo and he with her, but they set aside their love for Isabela. Daniela begs JuanPa to reassure her that she did not betray Fausto. He puts his hands gently on Daniela’s shoulder and assures her she definitely did not. Fausto probably told her that to confuse and torment her. Dani thinks Fausto is not capable of that so JuanPa tells her he knows she doesn’t remember, but she was not responsible for the failure of her marriage! If she fell in love with another man, it was because she wasn’t happy with her husband. Dani is thinking hard and admits recalling Fausto being cold and distant with her and Isabela. JuanPa confirms Daniela did everything to try to save her marriage until she realized that it was impossible. Her decision to get a divorce is the bravest thing she did in the last year. He is very proud of her for trying to regain her freedom and be happy with a man like Memo who truly loves her. Daniela states that in her mind there are no traces of that love. JuanPa advises that she relax and allow herself to feel with her heart. He asks that she please not distance herself from Memo because that is what Fausto wants to win this war. The doorbell rings and Chuchita tells JuanPa he has a visitor.

Puffing out his non-manly chest, Macario advances toward Aaron with a raised fist, berating him for setting him up with Fausto. Aaron reminds him that he needed money and he just gave it to him…and he certainly had fun with it. Macario tells him that he didn’t put up with his wife and family just to be left with a dime from the sale of the property. Aaron taunts that he wanted more and more and he was very happy losing it all. Macario derides him for telling him he was his friend and never telling him that the money was coming from Fausto. Macario adds that they can eat the payments because he is going to sign with Eugenio and then whatever is left he will pay some of what he owes him. Macario, having no idea who he is dealing with, hears a menacing click and turns around to find himself staring down the barrel of a gun. Aaron tells him to do as Fausto ordered or he might end up dead in one of those highways he likes so much! Macario runs away like the scared rat that he is.

So, instead of Gaby, we see Grace’s sour countenance. Grace doesn’t attempt to play nice; she is all business. Nasty business. Grace tells JuanPa that her mother is very upset and since he is not going to respond as a man, her mother is going after him. JuanPa reminds her that he already apologized and that it was a mistake. Grace knows that for him it was a mistake but…there is just one more little detail. She is a minor, she is 15! She got a fake ID so that Amparo would give her a job. Grace has tried to calm her mother down but Yoyo is determined to go after him. If he doesn’t tell her that he is going to take her (Grace) seriously, her mother will report him for abuse of a minor! JuanPa is clearly horrified.

Fausto tells Karen what every woman dreams of hearing; if she doesn’t give him a child, all will lost between them. In the meantime, he will have to continue pretending in front of Dani. Karen tells him that they will soon resume their plans…she doesn’t plan on being his lover for the rest of her life, she will be his wife. (Hoping she was going to scratch his eyes out; this was not what I was hoping or expecting to hear. I have to think at this point Karen must be playing Fausto).

Chuchita tells Daniela that her love for Memo is real and beautiful…and yes, Fausto lied to her.

Camino #78 Part 5

A distraught JuanPa tells Grace that a scandal of this magnitude would ruin his chance for the Olympics and shatter all his dreams. Grace spews that if he tells her mother that they are novios and he will marry her, she will settle down. Right on cue, Gaby arrives. Gaby asks why Grace is there and why he didn’t go to the bar to be with her. JuanPa tries to move forward but Grace holds him back. He stares helplessly and tells Gaby he and Grace are novios. Gaby’s disgust and pain are written all over her face as she turns and leaves.

Eugenio is proud of Sebastian saying he will see him in the meeting room. Sebastian is smiling until he goes into his office and sees the carnage.

Loreta and Este strategize. Loreta (mistakenly) thinks that since Eugenio hasn’t proposed to Amparo, she still has a chance. Este tells her to forget Sebastian, he is not the only rich guy. She is thinking of Tony Rivera…whose family is swimming in money. Actually, she is going out with him today. Este then advises Loreta to forget about Eugenio, but Loreta thinks she can drive Eugenio crazy. Perhaps she can, she is certainly driving us crazy.

Sebastian picks up the broken pieces of his destroyed presentation. JuanPa arrives, desperate to talk about his dire situation but Sebastian has to deal with the meeting he is about to have for which he now has no presentation. Claro, maldita Este he mutters, truth dawning on him.

Memo and Dani are meeting as he holds up his phone, showing the location that was sent to him. He is going today…it is likely that Sandra is there. Daniela wants to go with him because she wants to hear what that woman is going to say. Aside from talking to Sandra, there are other things she needs to figure out…like when and why she fell in love with him!

Memo thinks Daniela has remembered but she hasn’t. She’s been talking to Chuchita and JuanPa both of whom she trusts. She smiles and says they both gave her the same version. Memo tells her their relationship took them by surprise…they didn’t expect it and it wasn’t easy for them since she was married to Fausto and he was engaged to another woman. Daniela considers herself a sensible woman and doesn’t understand how it could happen. Memo describes how they fell in love and that love grew. When Daniela comments that they became lovers, Memo assures her that they didn’t. It makes his blood boil that Fausto wants to make her believe that she is a bad woman and mother.

Memo continues it is very difficult for him to know that she doesn’t remember how much they loved each other; they fought so hard to be together…and then everything went down the drain. Daniela wants to remember but Memo tells her not to force herself. But he is dealing with the pain of her not recognizing him and turning to Fausto. Dani wants the chance to get to know him again and experience what made her fall in love with him. Memo tells her he will help her…he loves her and if he loses her he won’t recover…she is like the air that he breathes. They apologize to each other for the kiss. Dani hears him talk with so much love…and although she sees it in his eyes, but she can’t remember. Memo again tells her that his intention is not to force her to remember. Dani looks into his eyes and her body comes alive; she can’t find him in her head but it’s as though her soul and heart know exactly who he is!

Camino #78 Part 6 (Last)

Fausto goes to visit Ursula greeting her as she stares up at him. What is it she asks as she gives him the side eye. Fausto doesn’t understand how Ursula could end up in a place like this. Ursula tells him that Cesar took her baby but no one believes her; they think she is crazy and she will prove to all that they were wrong. Fausto wants to make a deal. He can get her out of there but he wants something in return—the recording she made where he admitted to ordering Memo’s murder. In a rare moment of lucidity, Ursula says she has it hidden and if Fausto doesn’t want the recording to end up with the police, he’d better get her out of there.

Leo comes out of the recording studio as Max and Monica follow; it is evident something is wrong. Leo complains that he is not enjoying his success at all…they are making him betray his novia and distance himself from his family. It is so not worth it and he is done! With an “adios”, Leo leaves a slack jawed Max and Monica behind.

Macario tells Yoyo that he was set up and won’t be left with much money. She tells him he can’t stay with his arms crossed and do nothing. Macario tells her his hands are tied. Grace barges in telling her mamita not to believe a word he says! She spews Macario wants to keep the money all to himself and to spend it on betting…or with other women!

Eugenio chides Sebastian for being late to the meeting. Sebastian tells him that Este destroyed everything for the presentation. JuanPa reminds him that he has all his work. It’s in his head; after all Sebastian knows the project better than anyone! He can talk to the investors with passion and conviction. Eugenio thinks JuanPa is exactly right. He has full confidence in Sebastian, now he just needs to make the investors trust him too.

Macario warns Grace not to put ideas into her mother’s head. Grace retorts he has never cared about them! She is glad he never gave her his last name. When she yells their lives would be better without him, Macario leaves. Yolanda rewards her daughter for telling the truth (for once) by hitting her in the face. Hard. She upbraids Grace for what she caused.

Eugenio and Sebastian meet with the investors. Sebastian gives a verbal presentation from memory and answers follow-up questions. The investors talk and it’s a done deal! Father and son hug…

Chema and Isabela are playing with Chuchita as Amparo holds Martin. Memo and Daniela are holding hands as a joyous Memo tells Amparo he and Daniela are leaving for a few days. Amparo smiles warmly, wishing them luck, hoping they can find each other again.

Amidst the activity, Macario quietly enters the restaurant, seemingly unobserved…

Rgv Chick supplied the dialog in her always finest fashion. The scenes fly faster and faster and yet she manages to capture everything and oh so seamlessly! For all of your valuable time and dedication, I am beyond grateful.

There are so many cauldrons bubbling away; it's hardly possible to know which secrets will spill first.

JuanPa and Grace. Two steps forward, two steps back...

I cheered Amparo at the dinner and Eugenio's steadfast support. Lor should move on...

I meant to say JuanPa and Gaby. But, at this point, either seems to fit. Sadly!

Thank you Diana! As always you captured every sentiment and emotion, painting each scene with such compassion and sprinkling it all with wit and humor! I loved 'million dollar dinner'! lol Imagine selling a car to pay for a dinner and then sitting around pointlessly eating snails! Loreta didn't make even the slightest impact or headway and Amparo shined and charmed.

It was funny Dani's line: 'What sort of mother falls in love with her daughter's biological father?' lol um...most of them! The overall storyline is so serious I had to find a reason to laugh!

I too think Karen is playing Falso at this point. But it's so hard to be sure, she's so cagy! I actually really like the nuances of this character and the actress is doing a fantastic job! She's so hard to pin down and I love it! Is she dreaming of happily ever after or complete world destruction?? I am not sure but at this point I'm betting she wants to burn Falso's house down! And I hope she does! He deserves it!

Imagine being 15 years old and hell bent on tricking some guy into marrying you?? Scary. Imagine being whatever age Yo is and still believing the guy who hasn't married you after 15+ years is going to offer you happily ever after any day now??? Even scarier!!! Yo shouldn't hit Grace but at this point I can't even be surprised or feel sorry for Grace, both of these women are so toxic and broken.

The storyline of Memo and Dani finding each other again is cute and tender. The idea of your body and soul recognizing someone when your mind won't remember them is sweet and romantic and all; but I want Dani to get her memory back so that we can get on with the take downs!!! LOL Falso's anvil has been coming for 78 episodes and I am impatiently awaiting its arrival! I want to watch Falso and Karen destroy each other and take Aaron down with them! I want to see Mac get what is coming to him!!! And learn the fact of Crazy Ursa! Time for the pay off!!! Although I will definitely miss this one when it's over, it has been a gem well done in every aspect and the acting has been superb!

Perdona #10

Thank you, Urban, for another great recap. I especially like your recap titles.

This was, indeed, a depressing episode.

Armando truly hates Estela. He was more concerned for side piece Angela after Estela attacked her. (that was the best scene IMO in this episode)

When Estela was put in her room by Armando, I kept hoping she would use the phone on the nightstand behind her to call someone for help. Little did she know she would be unjustly whisked off to the manicomio.

Angela's bandaging on her nose isn't held on with much tape. One good sneeze and that thing will go flying. Oh, wait, sneezing would be really bad. Yes, Angela, go for it!

"The one bright spot was Andres and Luis’ sure to be excellent adventure."
Diana, let's hope it is not as exciting as Bill & Ted's was. lol

Camino

Darcy, I smiled and nodded in vigorous agreement reading every word of your smart, savvy comment. Your (always) kind words are very much appreciated.

"Amparo shined and charmed" was perfect! I mean honestly, there are so many deserving storylines that deserve attention at this point, I hope no time is wasted showing Lor trying to win Eugenio back - an impossible feat!

"Is she dreaming of happily ever after or complete world destruction??" YES! I keep teetering back and forth but can't wait to find out Karen's true motivation either way.

..."I want Dani to get her memory back so that we can get on with the take downs!!! LOL". Me too!!! AND a little romance too?? :)

This will go down as one of my favorite TNs. The writing, the acting, everything has been gripping and totally engrossing. Gabe Soto exudes a softness, an earnestness that mades me swoon. And, gorgeous to boot. Having Susana as his love interest, (my favorite actress) has been heaven for me.

Montana, so glad you are enjoying this and that you have joined the discussion!

"Frosto ( my name for Fausto - he is cold as Ice )" was great!

"...kinda hope that the wardrobe department up’s Dani’s clothing as her memory returns, - did you all take notice of a floral blouse tonight, soft and flowing and much more sweet than her stern suits". I am so glad you've said that. I've been harping that the wardrobe department had it in for her and with the exception of Isa's birthday party dress and one or two other things, have liked nothing she's worn, especially the mismatched, strange colors. I usualy notice what she is wearing but didn't last night as I was struggling to try and keep up. Will keep my eye peeled tonight.

"Impressive cast" is spot on - I think we are all in agreement there!

Thanks so much Diana, you weave a great story of all that goes on.

The falling in love with daughter’s biological father didn’t register with me till I read your words, and Darcy’s comment on it! Thank goodness Dani has JuanPa and Chuchita to tell her the truth.

Grace is horrible. I feel sorry for JuanPa. But if she has an ID that says she’s 18 that should get JP off the hook. I guess it will in the end. Poor Gaby, i would not want to go back with JuanPa again!

The dinner was cute. I hope Loretano gives up but fear she and her daughter are two of a kind. And I hope they can prove Este ruined Sebastian’s model, and erased the presentation.

I’m hoping Max will decide Leo is star material on his own. If Leo has a contract he will have to work for him but he can’t force him into a fake romance.

Macario fits in much better with Yolanda and Grace. They deserve him. But I’m afraid he’s at the restaurant to kidnap the baby. As inept as he is I don’t imagine he’ll get very far.

Fausto is going to get Ursula out of the hospital. I don’t remember her recording him saying he ordered Memo’s murder. Montana, the name Frosto is great, really fits him!

Liz

Thanks so much Liz!

Like you, I'm so grateful Daniela has so many kind souls whispering in her ear. Her learning to love Memo again is heart warming; their love is the heart and soul of this story.

"Macario fits in much better with Yolanda and Grace. They deserve him". Yes and last night was proof positive.

I'm thinking that Este's latest stunt has erased any lingering feelings Sebastian might have had for her. But never say never. Loreta isn't giving an inch. Good luck sister.

"I’m hoping Max will decide Leo is star material on his own". That would be great wouldn't it? If not, it may be problematic as I'm assuming recording contracts are fairly iron clad.

I am fervently hoping the (likely) kidnapping is thwarted.

Angela lied again to Gerardo that she had done nothing, He didn't believe her and demanded to know why she lied. She said she was afraid and was drunk and Estela disappeared... [much of this was incoherent.] She called all this unfair and it felt like an interrogation. This made no sense to Gerardo and he finally left her alone in her room.

Aurora talked with Meche about a problem she was having in statistics class. Meche invited her over to work on it together.

A nurse brought sleep medication for Estela who did not want it. She did not want to be asleep all the time. The nurse said it was part of her treatment. Estela was unable to refuse it but when the time came she did not swallow the pill.

Armando asked whether there was an alternative treatment. Dr Leonidas said there was but it was risky. He presented the idea of electroshock therapy which caused convulsions and changes to the brain. The risk was the possible erasure recent memories. He had the consent forms on a clipboard. Armando signed the documents.

Andres and Luis arrived in Chihuahua. Luis was still freaked out about airplanes.

Horacio Morales returned after a two-year absence, surprising Meche and Aurora. Aurora was a little uncomfortable and offered to leave, but Meche would not hear of it. Horacio joked about being a good boy and going to his room to leave them alone. Later he came down to the study to give Meche a gift, a blue silk blouse. She left the room to try it on and Horacio teased Aurora about how she liked him when they were kids. They were each other's first kiss. [To be honest he is more charming and outgoing and handsomer than Carlos.] Aurora was getting more ill at ease when Carlos came to her rescue and asked her to stay for dinner. She accepted and the guys could tell she was probably on the fence about whether she really wanted to or not. Meche came back in the blouse. [Nice color but no style]

Estela told Leonidas she felt alright and wanted to go home to see her son. Leonidas told Estela that she had a major crisis after the accident and she needed to complete the treatment before she could leave. He would return for her shortly. “Trust me,” he said. “I promise you you will be the same as before.”

Luis made the arrangements to be at the lawyer's office first thing in the morning. He noticed that Andres was troubled because he missed Elsa. He explained what happened when they tried to escape to Mexico City. Luis suggested that they go to see her, but not by plane.

Aurora ate with the Morales family. Hector toasted their reunion, Horacio to Hector's success in his political campaign. Carlos announced that he and Aurora would be getting married. Hector was not expecting this and neither had Aurora. Nor Horacio. Carlos was concerned that Hector was being intransigent, like Armando. Hector said No and that he was just taken by surprise. However, “That's your decision.” They toasted but Aurora looked freaked out, indecisive, and afraid at the same time.

At the Quiroga house Sofie said she wasn't hungry. Flor tried encouraging her to eat which Elena scolded her for. She then began scolding Sofie for “causing problems in the house.” She and Martin wanted their mother while Elena looked like she was trying to take her place. They asked Armando about their mother and he gave them the same BS he was telling everyone else. They asked about Domingo and he told them that he was getting better every day. He then went to the study. Elena ordered her younger siblings to eat. She sounded like a Victorian school teacher.

Hector left the dinner table to go upstairs. Carlos mentioned that his father was worried about Estela after everything going on in that family. Meche tried redirecting the conversation. They asked Horacio if he had a girlfriend and he laughed, saying he had not had time for that. He asked about Andres and Aurora became annoyed. She asked Carlos to take her home and he agreed. They left the room. Horacio was shocked and said “It looks like a lot happened here since I left.” Meche said “More than you think.” He was surprised when she told him that Andres was revealed to be Aurora's half-brother.

Orderlies wheeled Estela into the treatment room. The electrode patches per put on Estela's forehead just above her eyebrows. Leonidas personally administered the electroshock treatment to Estela. We saw two shocks.

Armando told Angela what had been happening and that Dr Leonidas would be in charge of Estela's memory loss. Angela asked a question but Elena had entered Armando's office so he ended the call. Elena entered the office complaining that her younger siblings were stubbornly asking for their mother and that she needed to supervise the work on the apartment in Alcocer. He told her that there was no set end date for her mother's treatment and that he could not trust anyone else to take care of the younger children. She sighed and said he could count on her. “You and my siblings are my priority,” she said. Both smiled as they hugged. [But what did that mean?]

Aurora was not happy that Andres was mentioned at all. Carlos told her that Horacio had to know. She was mad that he made the engagement announcement so prematurely. He apologized to her adding that he would not live in her family home. She didn't like him making such premature announcements and he promised not to do this again.

Gerardo came back saying that the architect would have the apartment ready in a week. Elena told Gerardo about Estela and she felt that until her mother was out of the manicomio they needed to stay in her parents' home. Her father didn't trust Flor enough to leave them with her. Gerardo was not surprised at the new obstacle. He did not argue, realizing it would be useless. Elena kissed him, but not in a romantic way. She smiled in satisfaction as he walked away to change clothes.

Angela had her flask, which she kept concealed from everyone else. She put it away just before Aurora entered her room. Aurora told her where she had been. Angela told Aurora Horacio was the only worthy Morales but did not explain herself despite Aurora asking her why. Angela told her she was tired and needed to go to sleep. She told Aurora to turn off the overhead light on her way out. [Maybe she has the hots for him?]

Estela was returned to her room. She looked almost catatonic.

Part 3 of 4

Andres and Luis met with the lawyer who read the will. As the last survivor mentioned Luis inherited properties in Creel. Since this was so far away from where he lived and worked he was inclined to sell. He signed the relevant documents. Andres asked the lawyer about the internado near the properties and the lawyer described it as a reform school. On the way out Luis told Andres he would do so much with the money and his business and to trust him because he knew a way for him to see Elsa.

Angela got dressed to go out. Aurora tried to stop her from going to see Hector. Angela said she was tired of being cooped up and needed some fresh air. She got Aurora to leave her room and then drank from the flask to dull her pain. She had finished its contents before returning it to the drawer.

Carlos and Horacio were helping their dad who was distracted worrying about Estela. He did not know where she was and was concerned about how her husband treated her. When he talked about Estela being a life-long friend the boys looked as though they thought it was more than that.

Elena was with Domingo in his hospital room. She talked about talking to his teacher and that he needed to catch up on his grades. She cautioned him against falling behind. He asked again about his mother, then his siblings and she gave him the canned answers.

Angela chased Lamberto down at Hector's hotel and made an ugly scene, calling Silvia vile names. Lamberto told her to stop playing the Victim Card. Gerardo tried to stop this but Angela didn't respect his intent, which was to avoid the gossip she claimed to hate. [She has no dignity.]

Warning: Comic Relief Dead Ahead!

Luis and Andres arrived at the reformatory disguised as Obispo Quiñones and Padre Juan de Jesus, Luis said they were from Guanajuato [22 hours away with transfers]. The Assistant Mother Superior came out to greet them, escorted them into the garden, and told them she would get the Mother Superior. Andres asked Luis how do they ask for Elsa and he said “Be patient. We got in.” The Monster Superior came out all smiles to greet them. Luis isn't Irish but he had the gift of the blarney and they got a tour and answers to their questions about security and about rules. Andres was shocked at the icy water. The Monster Superior called hot water a luxury which was not permitted. Luis compared the dorm room to a nun's cell and the MS explained that simplicity was something these girls had not been taught. There was no television, internet, or any related distractions. Luis asked about whether any girl had ever escaped. The Monster Superior showed them a large key ring with a procedural explanation. Out in the garden she talked about the girls cultivating the vegetables and fruits eaten in the school They did not shop in the market. [They even had to slaughter chickens and other meat animals.] Andres and Luis looked at each other behind the Monster Superior's back at each of these revelations. She led them into the kitchen and eating facilities, which were hot.

Most of the day the girls were expected to be silent, the purpose of which was to make them contemplate their sins. They were taken to the classroom where they were presented to the girls as Obispo Quiñones and Padre Juan de Jesus. The girls looked up and Elsa recognized Andres. Luis asked if the Monster Superior would allow Padre Juan to hear confessions. The Monster Superior thought this a good idea and invited the girls to make confession if they wished. Many raised their hands, including Elsa. The Monster Superior' donated her office for this.

Part 4 of 4

A female doctor took Estela's blood pressure. She did not answer any questions.

Lamberto and Hector talked. He was horrified to find out where Estela was. Angela guilted Lamberto into driving her home.

Andres listened to confessions. The first girl spoke of her hatred of Madre Ruth and her anger at being beaten by her. He told her to say certain prayers every night for a week. This girl left and Elsa entered. They embraced and kissed intensely and talked about her escaping from this inhumane place.

Angela demanded that the maid get some vodka out of the fridge. Rocio objected but Angela as not having it.

Monster Superior boasted of the school's success rate and asked Luis questions he could not answer – also mentioning Madre Leonore, but he managed to bullshit his way long enough to keep the Monster Superior distracted. He talked about structural improvements that would keep out dampness and cold to improve the health of occupants. She asked whether he knew something about construction. He said that during his early days in the church he had supervised some remodeling in Guanajuato. [Methinks this will be their undoing, but not right away.]

The re-entered the building and approached her office where Elsa and Andres were still kissing. Monster Superior reached for the door handle.

CAMINO

Diana, the recap is simply outstanding! You wove in all the emotions, expressions and visuals with precision and your typical eloquence, Thank you for bringing the episode back to life...it was like watching it all over again.

I truly became nauseated as I heard Fausto spill such horrendous lies...and then the crying act was even worse! He had no mercy in torturing Dani. I can't even think of an anvil to match his wickedness. I was so glad Dani talked to JP and Chuchita...her saving graces!

The dinner was hilarious, but heartwarming, I loved watching Loreta's plan go to pot!

Darcy, regarding Karen: "Is she dreaming of happily ever after or complete world destruction??" That's a million dollar question! I don't remember any villian who has been this labile! So hard to figure out! My guess is that she is as crazy as Ursula..or more! I wouldn't doubt that she actually just wants to "win" Fausto because a witch like this is incapable of loving.

Liz, after Memo's attempted murder, Ursula talked to Mac who spilled some beans; and she figured out that Fausto was behind it. She went to his office and Fausto ultimately admitted ordering Cesar to kill Memo. She let him know that she had recorded him and threatened to take it to the police if something happened to Memo.

Gracias, amigas. This was excellent.

Between Macario, Fausto, Estefania, and Grace I must be losing weight because I lose my appetite when they are on screen.

Sebastian should consider reporting the destruction of his model and the deletion of his presentation. Someone from IT in the office could probably retrieve the documents but rebuilding the model would take a while. Good thing though that Sebastian still impressed the potential investors.

I don't like the message being sent by Leo deciding to quit. He is too young to give up. I don't know what kind of power celebrity gossip has anymore now that most people know that much of it has been or still is manufactured by studios. We can see that he is faithful to Chuchita who would not be a liability to his career. Maybe she also needs a break to get her clothing line started.

Karen still baffles me a bit regarding her current objectives. It would be a good thing if she were out to get revenge on Fausto, but we don't really know. She did try to kill Daniela for which she should get a very serious Karmageddon. I have been wondering since that note whether she is going to kill Sandra and frame Memo for the crime.

No talk yet about the sale of the baby, but there is still time. With Amparo away the path to that goal would be easier for Macario.

Apparently the age of consent in Mexico is 17. There are no Romeo-and-Juliet laws for close in age exceptions, not that it would cover this situation. In the US JuanPa would end up in jail for this despite Grace having a credible-looking fake ID. He needs a lawyer who can convince a judge that this is entrapment.

I was so mad at JP for so quickly agreeing, in front of Gabi, that he and Grace were novios. But now I'm wondering, would a judge believe him if he said she deceived him? I mean, how many teenage girls in reality are the ones to deceivean adult man? So Grace knows Macdoesn't care about them and still wants a guy who doesn't care about her to be her husband? Why? Grace should have slapped Yolanda right back, though. Even if Yolanda at some point realises Grace was right, I still can't see her going to great lengths to make amends. She and Mac are way too similar.
So what is Karen going to do if Fausto does marry her?I'm not getting how this is going to help her revenge. If she gets pregnant, Fausto will get what he wanted.

Camino

Rgv Chick and Diana, gracias. I'm all caught up thanks to your witty and captivating storytelling. You got me through this dreaded amnesia with hope and laughter.

Yay! At least Dani knows the truth, from JP and Chuchita. Although, she actually did become Memo's lover, after she left Fausto though there wasn't a divorce yet. But I guess they smoothed over this in the retelling, lest Dani thinks she's a "bad" woman.

Poor JP. He's so honest that it hasn't crossed his mind that there's no proof that he did anything other than sleep. It's so dumb not to tell Gaby that Grace is extorting (or whatever this is called?) him.

I can't tell what is Karen's endgame, but I do know that she wants Fausto in it. In her mind, without Fausto there is nothing.

I'm looking forward to Dani falling for Memo all over again.

Camino

Thank you for your kind words and unfailing support Rgv Chick!

"I truly became nauseated as I heard Fausto spill such horrendous lies...and then the crying act was even worse!" Yes, I say laughingly. And the kneeling!! The actions were almost as reprehensible as the lies spewing from his disgusting mouth.

I agree with you in that Karen is (at the least) as mentally unhinged as Ursula. Her managing to hide the depth of her insanity and her utter cruelty shows very dangerous she is.

"Between Macario, Fausto, Estefania, and Grace I must be losing weight because I lose my appetite when they are on screen". I just laughed out loud Urban, that was great.

"Karen still baffles me a bit regarding her current objectives". OK, I have to say she completely baffles me! :) As you noted, "It would be a good thing if she were out to get revenge on Fausto, but we don't really know". No and she is one of the many interesting mysteries yet to be determined. I have no sympathy at all for Karen, Fausto or Aaron. It's hard to say who is worse but Karen causing Dani to miscarry was an atrocity. And as you added, she also tried to kill Dani herself.

I think that the only solution to JP's dilemna is for Grace to come clean. It seems impossible and improbable right now, but perhaps something will happen to change her mind. She has monsters for parents and while the idea she might somehow end up as part of the Santos family has all but diminished. There may be a sliver of hope...somehow, someway.

Karen is unhinged but not in the same way as Ursula. Ursula has something physically wrong in her brain and has almost no control over her behavior. Karen is messed up emotionally. We're not sure why. She is also more of a narcissist than Ursula but also more intelligent. That also makes her far more dangerous.

Camino

"So Grace knows Mac doesn't care about them and still wants a guy who doesn't care about her to be her husband? Why?" A good question waterlily, for which I have no answer. Perhaps she is perpetuating the cycle of denial.

We've all been speculating what Karen will say and do next, but I fear we won't know until it happens. I have no pity for her but have great sympathy for Eugenio and Sebastian who thankfully will have each other for support once all is revealed.

Niecie, thank you so much!

..."Although, she actually did become Memo's lover, after she left Fausto though there wasn't a divorce yet. But I guess they smoothed over this in the retelling, lest Dani thinks she's a "bad" woman". Niecie, thank you for phrasing that so perfectly. What I wrote bothered me because it wasn't exactly true, but it was what was said. Memo realizes how fragile Dani is and knew she couldn't handle the entire truth, hence his little white lie.

"I'm looking forward to Dani falling for Memo all over again". Me too!! I could look at their bright and hopeful eyes all day long...

Diana

Perdona

Thanks, Urban. Super recap.

Estella's fall, just as she was emancipating herself, is tough to watch. I have to tell myself "It's only make-believe." I hope that quack of a psychiatrist gets his just desserts before el fin.

In the opening credits, we see Estella dressed in a white top (which looks good on her) looking out a window. I'd wondered if she were in a mental institution, but this place is barbaric, for a price. I hope Hector and Gerardo come to the rescue pronto.

So Armanda has two of his "girls" in a prison. And Elena isn't even bothering to visit her mom.

This is a strange town where high school girls date grown men, presumably out of college and with careers. I don't like Aurora one bit, but Carlos was wrong to talk about marriage in front of everyone without asking her first.

Never thought I'd laugh with things so depressing for Estella and Elsa, but the bishop and the priest snookering Monster Superior was hilarious. Methinks Elsa and Andres will break the kissing just in time.

PERDONA

Thanks, Urban, especially for “warning comic relief dead ahead.” That gave me a good laugh.

Niecie, ITA with your comments about Estela. What a horror and almost too disturbing to watch. Armando better suffer long and hard for what he has done to her and his children besides the rest of his crimes. That is why I want to know who the company belongs to and they still have not told us. If it is Estela’s, her revenge could be sweet.

I was annoyed by Héctor’s sons last night reminding him that Estela was a married woman with a family when he was voicing his concern for her as if he didn’t know.

Luis’ inability to leave his knowledge of a contractor behind made me laugh when he started talking about mildew.

Angela should be in her full drunken mode now she has reunited with her old BFF vodka.

On we go!

Perdona #11

Some of Armando's traits are such a match-up to those of Ernesto of Te Doy la Vida that I had to check whether the two series have writers in common and yes, they do. They seem to be creating a new cliche villain type for Jorge Salinas just as other writers before them created one for Cesar Evora. I just hope that this doesn't put him permanently on the dark side.

Having said that, I don't think that there will be a lot of time before Estela and Elsa get sprung. Their imprisonments slow down the plot of this tale but the amnesia plotline needs a new replacement.

Does Armando know that half the town knows that Estela is in a manicomio and that he is responsible for at least a third of this?

I have to say that if at least half the girls signed on for confession in this episode they all confessed to hating Monster Superior and were probably given the same penance.

To another point, Elsa is 18 years old, no longer a minor. She could probably sue her father over this but she won't.

Angela needs a shrink big time, but it won't happen. She also has no interest in rehab.

"PERDONA" EPISODE #11:

UA: I noticed Andres was masquerading as a priest while seeing Elsa with the other girls at the boarding school. Now what could possibly go wrong ?

On Jorge Salinas: He's permanently the villain FOREVER as far as I'm concerned.

Urban, thank you for the fabulous recap.

“They toasted but Aurora looked freaked out, indecisive, and afraid at the same time” was great. To be honest there is something about Horacio I didn’t care for but I can’t put my finger on it. I prefer Carlos who may not be exciting but seems to be a good guy.

Niecie and Jarifa, I am with both of you in that the electroshock “therapy” was revolting. To be fair, it wasn’t at all convincing, which may have been intentional. I felt Estela’s pain nevertheless. After that, I almost changed the channel but the Luis and Andres scenes made me smile so I’m glad I didn’t.

I’m confident Hector will be relentless in his search for Elena. Armando gets more vile each episode if that is even possible.

Diana

Urban, thank you for bringing it all to us in living evil color.

I recorded this episode and had to fast forward through that brutal, horrific shock therapy scene . Well, we wondered what would happen when Estella uncovered the affair so early in the show , and now we know. Armando has sent her to that hellish place just like he sent his daughter to that other realm of hell.

Hector is suspicious and asking questions , but how long will Estela have to endure that abuse ?

When Carlos proposed at the dining table , Aurora didn't hide her displeasure . (Will this actress always play the obnoxious , spoiled rich girl? ) Carlos 's brother looked quite shocked and upset by the proposal . Is he in love with nasty Aurora ? Why?

Susanlynn: I'm worried Estela might NOT make it alive at the rate this is going.

Perdona

Thanks Urban, a great recap. What’s happening with Estela is really distressing. I bet she comes out of this having no memory of the love scene she witnessed. How else can they keep the show going! I hope she’ll be rescued soon. Elena is as cold and unfeeling as her dad.

Thank goodness for the convent scenes! Fun to watch! But on pins and needles as to whether they get caught in the embrace!

Liz

Thank you for another great recap, Urban. I will be watching this today and look forward to the comic relief. This telenovela certainly needs some.

Each time I read the recaps & the comments, the story comes more alive for me. You all have me on the edge of my seat. You’re all great!!!!
