Camino – Capitulo 79 – Part 1 of 5

Max tries to convince Leo that he is turning down a gold mine but Leo makes it clear that he can’t live this way because he’s uncomfortable in his own skin! He is at odds with his own family and he is hurting his girlfriend! Just when Leo is standing his ground, Monica arrives and Max leaves her alone with Leo the second she asks. Monica tells Leo she has the solution for all of this. Chuchita is a designer, right? So, what if Monica starts wearing her designs at her shows and other events? People will ask who the designer is, Chuchita will get exposure, she’ll get work. Chucha will be famous and they’ll get famous; it’ll be a win-win-win situation! Naïve Leo thinks this is a fantastic idea and is nothing but gratitude when Monica suggests Leo let her talk to Chuchita so she can put in mind at ease about all those ugly rumors!

Amparo is putting Martin to sleep and Isa and Chema go to play in Chema’s room so they won’t wake the baby. Isa gives Martin her doll and tells the doll to take good care of her little brother while she’s gone.

Gaby cries to Lupita about the newest turn with JP. She was ready to forgive him but now he’s back with Grace and her heart is shattered. Lupita reminds Gaby that time heals everything but Gaby doesn’t think she will ever get over this.

JP congratulates Sebas on his win but then gives him the bad news. He’s now stuck with Grace because she’s a minor and if JP doesn’t marry her, her mom is going to have him arrested and thrown in jail!

Yo asks Grace for forgiveness for slapping her and Grace says she won’t interfere with her and Mac again. Grace is tired of this and everything in her life. She wants to leave and escape from all their drama. Yo says she’s a minor and can’t go anywhere but Grace counters that if she married JP she could. Yo thinks Grace is too young to think about marriage but Grace says she isn’t planning to be like mom and be satisfied with being the other woman her whole life, she’s going to get her MRS and mom is going to help. Yo wonders how that is going to happen and Grace explains the whole tricking JP into marrying her so it doesn’t go to jail plan! Mommy had better support her!

Mac is lecturing himself on not settling for being left without money and the first thing he’s going to do is sell his great-nephew on the black market! He makes a call and sets this in motion for tomorrow.

Fausto is going to give him a run for his money though as he’s getting Ursa out of jail as we speak! It did his part and it’s time for Ursa to do hers! They don’t get much further though before Dani calls and tells Satan not to wait up because she’s going on an overnight trip and won’t be back till tomorrow. Falso asks who she is going with and Dani says Memo as if it’s no big deal at all! I was laughing too until she tells him why, they’ve found Sandra and they’re going to go talk to her and find out what really happened with Isa.. Uh oh!

Mac’s big baby-napping escapade starts off way too easily as he just takes the baby out of the basinet and walks out the door.

Chuchita cries to Amparo about her problems with Leo and Amparo encourages her. Leo is a good man with good education and morals, he’ll do the right thing! Leo arrives just then and Amparo considers it proof of the truth of her words.

Aaron is driving after Dani and Memo when he gets the bad news – his targets are going to visit his very own sister!!! Aaron can’t believe it! Karen betrayed him and now he has to take care of this situation once and for all!!

 

Camino – Capitulo 79 – Part 2 of 5

Ursa wants to know who Falso is talking to and he tells her Memo and Dani took off together. Ursa swears they will never be happy while she’s alive!!!

Dani asks Memo about the day they met and he tells her the story about going to her house to see Isa. He was affected by the news in Oliva’s letter and so nervous that when Chuchita confused him for Dani’s assistant he just went along with it! Dani can’t believe they became co-workers just based on Chuchita’s confusion and Memo says the moment he saw her and they locked eyes, he felt like he was meeting his soul’s twin! Then that first day they went to pick Isa up from school and that’s how he met his daughter for the first time.

Karen calls Sandra and tells her Memo is on the way. Sandra is nervous, what if he has her arrested? Or if Aaron kills her for opening her mouth?? Karen reminds Sandra she hasn’t had any peace since this happened and this is the only opportunity she has to do the right thing, to protect Isa from Falso. Just make sure you don’t mention my name she admonishes!!


Sebas tells JP to be positive. He needs to reason with Yo, maybe they can work something out! The only thing he can’t do is marry someone he doesn’t love!!! JP is nervous, if he gets arrested, he’ll get kicked off the Olympic team! His whole career, everything he’s worked for will be ruined!!! Sebas points out Grace lied about her age, she had a fake ID, she got into a bar it’s reasonable that JP thought she was an adult!! JP needs to talk to Yo, he can’t let Grace ruin his life!

Yo agrees to help Grace get JP but she has to apologize to daddy for being rude!!! Speaking of the rat, he comes in with Martin at that moment and Grace makes comments about how Mac has children in all corners (LOL) but Mac clarifies it’s Ursa’s child! He needs Yo to take care of him for a bit while he takes care of some things. Yo points out Mac doesn’t have anything like diapers and milk, you know the basic things a baby needs! Mac pulls some money out of this wallet and tells Grace to go buy what’s needed. Grace protests but Yo glares and she ends up going.

Left alone, Yo asks what Mac the Rat is doing with the baby and Mac doesn’t even bother to lie. He tells Yo to take good care of the kid because he’s worth his weight in gold! Yo doesn’t sound nearly surprised enough when she asks for clarification from Mac: Are you going to sell your own nephew?

Leo promises Chuchita that he told Monica and Max that he isn’t going to continue with the fake relationship! Chucha is briefly excited until Leo starts going on about how he’s giving up a great opportunity to please her because he loves her so much. Leo tells Chucha about Monica’s proposal and Chucha isn’t even momentarily happy about this because she’s not naïve like cowboy Leo and she knows that Monica is going to want something in return! Leo says Monica just wants to talk to her and Chucha makes it clear she doesn’t want people thinking Leo is with Monica. Leo thinks they can all win with this plan; he’ll fake date Monica for a short time then they can stage a big breakup and scandal – the public will move on and Leo and Chucha can get married!

 

Camino – Capitulo 79 – Part 3 of 5

In case you’re wondering if child trafficking is a red flag for Yo, the answer is no. Mac tells her all about the plan, even admits he had this plan since he found out Ursa was pregnant and all Yo is concerned about is getting the money she deserves, she’s willing to help! Mac leaves her babysitting and she assures him no one will find out Martin is there.

Ursa recovers her hidden cell phone (and a gun which she quickly hides) and gives the phone to Falso. She assures him that she has no other copies of the video (why in the world would either one of these villains believe the other?) Falso doesn’t like that the battery is dead and he can’t check for himself but that’s the way batteries work and there’s not much he can do about it.

Grace and Yo are now chatting about the baby and Yo tells Grace she can’t tell anyone that Martin is there with them. Grace says she isn’t going to tell anyone but she wonders what daddy is up to. Yo gives her a story about taking care of the baby to protect him from Ursa but Grace doesn’t buy it for a second. She also doesn’t care much and decides to just stay out of it.

Aaron is waiting outside keeping watch on Memo’s truck, he calls Karen demanding to know what she’s up to but an unrepentant Karen isn’t interested in Aaron’s reproaches or demands. She told Memo because it’s in her best interest and it’s just too bad if Aaron gets implicated in the crime too! He threatens that he could spill the beans about her trying to kill Dani but she looks more thoughtful than afraid.

Memo and Dani are eating lunch and Memo tells her how she was glued to her phone when they first met but they learned to be present in the moment and not miss what is going on around them. They agree to turn off their phones for the rest of the trip! Dani says she’s enjoying his company very much and she wants to continue to discover what Memo means to her throughout this trip. She only asks that Memo text Amparo first and check on the kids to put her mind at ease. Memo texts but since Amparo doesn’t yet know there’s a problem, she responds with the kids are good and Memo and Dani turn off their phones.

Falso discovers Dani’s phone is off when in the office with Karen. Karen wants to take advantage of the opportunity to be together, especially since she wants to get pregnant again right away, but Falso says not now, he’s too preoccupied with other things to entertain her whims.

Mac goes to Eugenio’s house to make his ‘sale’. He explains he doesn’t want a confrontation with Falso since he decided to sale to Eugenio and that’s why he came there. Mac is very distracted by the big beautiful house and Eugenio has to pointedly show him to the study. They sign on the dotted line and Eugenio warns there’s a clause in there to prevent fraud but Mac’s only interested in cold hard cash (which is only an advance on the total price of the land if I understood correctly)! Mac signs and Eugenio hands over the dinero after informing Mac he’ll have to sign with the notary too next week. Mac says pleasure doing business with you and makes a difficult situation much worse by telling Eugenio to tell Amparo hi and starts mentioning things Amparo used to like in bed asking Eugenio if she’s still turned on by those same things?? Mac tells Eugenio he’ll have a had time filling the enormous hole that Mac left in Amparo’s bed but he can go ahead and try!


 

Camino – Capitulo 79 – Part 4 of 5

Gaby tells Amparo and Chuchita that JP is now with Grace and Chucha can’t believe it but Gaby says he told her to her face and she even found them together! Amparo says this is hard but Gaby can survive this! Gaby says the pain is killing her but Amparo continues to give her words of encouragement… speaking of things you have to survive, Ursa walks in the front door!

Ursa wants to know where Martin and Memo are and Amparo wants to know why someone let Ursa out of the nuthouse. Amparo says Memo is out of town and Ursa ‘guesses’ that he is with Dani. She scoffs and says it hurts to hear it but oh well, she isn’t surprised. She knew Memo was going to go after Dani the minute he dumped her in the loony bin. Amparo says Memo is a single man because his wedding to Ursa was a lie! Ursa says whatever, I just came for my son!!! She’s taking him and when Memo is done playing with Dani and wants to see Martin, he’ll have to come see her to get access to him! Amparo says she’s not letting Ursa take Martin and all the other women in the restaurant back her up. She’ll have to go through all of them to get to the baby!! Well, she would have to if Martin was there… Ursa scoffs again and pushes past all of them easily enough but of course the fighting Amparo and Ursa get to the baby’s basinet only to find him gone!

Satan comes home to find an anonymous note handed to him by his new maid. The note says something like: ‘Even the most loyal dog can bite’, Karen just happens to arrive (how convenient) as Falso takes a picture of Aaron and Sandra out of the envelop and asks what Falso is doing with a picture of Aaron and Sandra. Surprised, Falso asks if Karen knows Sandra and Karen says ‘of course, that’s his sister!’ Satan is pissed!!!

Satan asks if Karen is sure and of course she is! She mentions she met Sandra at Aaron’s house once, although now that she thinks of it, he was kind of upset about Karen seeing her there, which was odd. But why would Falso care? Karen tries to get Falso to confide in her – he trusts her, right? Falso gives up nothing and runs off to a meeting.

Amparo worries about not being able to get a hold of Memo while Ursa goes off on what a great father Memo turned out to be, he’s off with his girlfriend while his son gets kidnapped. Gaby runs in and tells them she found nothing and she didn’t tell Isa and Chema what was going on so as not to scare them. Amparo says she’s calling the police and Eugenio is on his way! Whomever stole her nephew is messing with the Santos Family!! Ursa says she isn’t going to just sit around with her arms crossed, and takes off. Gaby wonders if Grandpa has Martin but Amparo says he left with Lola early that morning, and don’t call him because his heart might not take it. Amparo swears she’s going to find Martin or her name isn’t Amparo Santos.

Humberto and Lola are in their own world enjoying the road trip and Humberto tells her he hasn’t been out on the road in a long time but that’s going to change. His children are grown and after many years as a widow, he finds himself now ready to seek the company another woman! He kisses Lola on the cheek!

Sebas tells Lupita all about how well his meeting went and they are excited about the future. Lupita tells Sebas he can do anything he puts his mind to and Sebas says Lupita can do the same! Lupita admits that today she put in her application to study in the United States and Sebas is thrilled for her. He wishes her luck and says if she’s accepted, he will go with her! He’d follow her to the ends of the Earth! All this happiness is shattered by Gaby’s call to inform Lupita that Martin is missing!

 

Camino – Capitulo 79 – Part 5 of 5

Yo is holding Martin – sort of, and telling Grace she’s leaving with Mac for a few days. Grace thinks that’s fine but mom needs to fix things with her and JP first! Speaking of the unlucky devil, he arrives and Yo panics thinking about how to keep JP from finding out the baby is there!

In Mexico City, Memo and Dani arrive at the house where Sandra is staying but she denies that she’s Sandra. Dani recognizes her of course, but Sandra continues to deny, deny, deny. Viewerville, might wonder why Sandy is backing down now, if we weren’t shown a glance at Aaron holding a gun to Sandy’s side while hiding behind the door. (Did Karen break down and tell Aaron where Sandra was? Or did he find her some other way? And, Dani recognized Sandra but I guess she doesn’t recognize a home belonging to her BFF)

Grace runs gleefully to answer the door and JP enters. The baby cries predictably but Yo comes up with the excuse of babysitting for a neighbor to explain the crying and she orders Grace to go take care of the baby while she and JP talk.

Memo and Dani try to get Sandra to tell the truth but with Aaron’s gun reminding her not to, she doesn’t budge. Memo and Dani say they won’t leave until she tells them and they appeal to her sense of right and wrong over and over again. Sandy is clearly upset but she stays silent and shuts the door in their face.

Yo and JuanPa play their parts. He’s repentant but still looking for a way out given the fact that Grace lied about her age. Yo plays the indignant mother, not hearing any excuses! She lays it on thick and JP remains stuck: get married or go to jail! Yo even implies that drunk JP may have raped Grace while she cried and begged him to stop…

Sandra begs Aaron to let her tell Memo and Dani the truth but Aaron is upset that she let Karen manipulate her! They have another argument about following Falso’s orders and Sandra tries to convince Aaron that Falso deserves this and she’ll keep his name out of it! Aaron isn’t having it and he finds the keys to a boat in the kitchen.

Eugenio arrives at the restaurant, and there’s still no news. He tries to buck Amparo up; they will find him! Leo thinks Ursa may have taken Martin but Amparo says no, she was there when they discovered him missing! Leo says it could have been an act. Maybe Mac helped Ursa and is hiding the baby so she would be here to discover him missing and look innocent. We are closer to the truth now, but unfortunately Eugenio says this can’t be true because he just came from talking with Mac. He tells Amparo he is buying the land from Mac, and no, not for his company but to give back to her! That’s nice, but right now they have to focus on Martin. Everyone starts talking at once as they form groups to search.

Mac is now eating with Falso! He’s selling to Falso too!!!! And signing the papers with him as well. Just like Eugenio before him, Falso tells Mac he’ll have to come by the office in a week to sign with the notary but I don’t think Mac plans to show up for either appointment, I’m guessing his plan is to take the money from both men and run!!! Mac makes sure this sell makes him and Falso square and he signs away.

Memo is still pounding on the now closed door but Sandra isn’t answering of course. Dani wants Memo to calm down and regroup since they can’t force Sandra to answer and they have no proof, but he can’t wait or think calmy! He’s going to go look for another entrance to the house instead! Dani quickly follows and they don’t find an open door but they do make it to the dock just in time to watch the boat with Sandra in it drive away. I don’t think Aaron was seen!

Darcy, this episode was here, there and everywhere yet you were omnipresent and laser focused on all of the action. You related the myriad of events spectacularly.

Their fruitless attempt to have Sandra tell them what she knows left Memo and Daniela precious few moments to revisit and relearn their romance but “Memo says the moment he saw her and they locked eyes, he felt like he was meeting his soul’s twin!” was lovely. And Daniela’s beautiful, feminine flowered blouse with bow was so pretty that I won’t even mention the matching “Barney” purple pants. And I don't think Memo and Daniela saw Aaaron either.

I’ve no doubt Martin will soon be home where he belongs. By bringing him to Yolanda’s Macario has hidden him in plain sight. For heaven’s sake, JuanPa has already heard the little tyke cry, so if Amparo doesn’t come to the logical conclusion Macario abducted him, JP will surely connect the dots once he is told.

So, Yolanda knows Macario wants to sell Martin and doesn’t flinch. Grace doesn’t seem to care but I don’t know if that would change if she knew who the child was. A fitting punishment would be for these two harpies to have to live together the rest of their miserable lives.

I don’t see a long or bright future for Aaron. He seemed genuinely surprised Karen betrayed him. That said, she is still an enigma and her present and future machinations regarding Fausto are beyond me.

“Chucha isn’t even momentarily happy about this because she’s not naïve like cowboy Leo..” had me smiling away and was exactly right.

Fausto and Ursu seem hell bent on revenge. I wonder who Ursu will be gunning for first.

One thing I want to clarify incase it's not clear from the recap. Grace doesn't know that Mac kidnapped Martin or that he's planning to sell him. Yo knows, but they didn't tell Grace. Yo told Grace that Mac brought the baby there to hide him from Ursula for Martin's protection.... Grace didn't buy that lie, she thought Ursa was still in the hospital and that if Martin needed protection Memo would protect him himself. She just decided that she didn't want to know what Mac was up to because she was too busy trying to force JP to marry her. As horrible as she is, there's still a chance Grace wouldn't be okay with child trafficking if she knew. She did agree not to tell anyone Martin was there, I don't know what she thinks daddy might be up to but I doubt she would jump to the conclusion that Mac is planning to sell the baby.

I dont understand how Dani recognized Sandra. When did they meet ?

The pure evil of Mac, Fausto, and Karen is chilling as they push forward with their greedy, self-serving plans. And Ursula has managed to pull her tattoos together , do her hair in that odd, complicated style , and put on her bada**, grungy clothes so that she can show up and add to the evil mayhem. Yikes .

Will Juana put two and two together after he finds out Martin has been kidnapped and save the day , or do the writers want galan Memo to come to the rescue ?

So lucky that Aaron found those boat keys . Unlike, all the unmarked mystery keys around my house, they must have been clearly marked " Boat Keys. "

I'll Be Home for Christmas (Well... 2 out of 3 Ain't Bad): Details as Needed Edition
Part 1 of 4

Monster Superior reached for the door handle. Andres talked about not going back to San Juan because they would not be safe there. Elsa and Andres separated quickly and pretended to give her the penance. Monster Superior suspected nothing. She thanked him for this service. The two men left. Both found the conditions there deplorable. Andres said that Elsa's father's actions were unforgivable. Luis said that one day he would pay for what he did to Elsa.

Sofie and Martin finally got to visit Domingo. They brought balloons, Elena did not allow them to hug him,

Later in the refectory Elsa confided in Rosa that the priest was Andres in disguise. Rosa thought this was very romantic.

Hector went to the manicomio and demanded to see Estela. The receptionist looked her up and told him that she was not allowed visitors by order of Dr Leonidas. Hector wanted to talk to him immediately.

Elsa and Rosa talked on the stairs. She was happy but still worried about her mother. Worried that her father had done something to her. Rosa gave her her weekly call home.

Hector asked Dr Leonidas why Estela was not allowed visitors He got the official version. He accused Armando of being behind all this as Armando was capable of doing so. The accident happened and now it looks as though Estela had disappeared. Leonidas said he didn't believe this and did not admit to anything but emphasized that his duty was to his patients. He looked a little worried after Hector's exit.

Elsa was able to call home and got Sofie who told her what happened. She was shocked bt not enough to forget to tell Sofie not to reveal that she called. When she ended the call Rosa asked her if things were alright. Elsa shook her head and they hugged.

Carlos poured some red wine at the bar and proposed to Aurora in a restaurant. The ring was presented on top of a pretty cake. He proposed and she accepted.

Leonidas called Armando and ratted Hector out to him. Armando told him that under no circumstances was he to give Hector any information or allow Estela to see him.

Andres got into bed thinking about the day's adventure while Elsa worried about her mother.

Aurora went home and showed her engagement ring to Angela. Angela still disapproved of saying that this marriage would be a disaster because he had no personality, that he was too much like Lamberto. “Look at me, so why would he prefer a servant?” Aurora asked “You think he'd be dissatisfied with me?” [Yes, but not the way you think.] “Are you in love with him?” Aurora said “I love him very much, I like being with him, I feel protected. If that's so, am I in love? Yes, Yes, I am.” Angela replied “No, little one. No. That is no reason to be in love. That's not enough reason to marry.” “You're choking me, mother. The only thing I wanted was for you to be happy with the news.”
“Excuse me, but I don't think you're making a good decision.” Aurora left without answering.
Tiempo Despues [Actually two months later]:

Gerardo arrived to take Angela to the surgeon. She was afraid her nose was deformed.

Elsa got out of the hellhole school [How?].

Commandante Fuentes visited Padre Reynaldo to tell him they may have found Olmos' car. He wanted the padre's help.

It was almost Christmas and things were going well at Luis' business.

The bandage came off Angela's nose. It looked as though the “accident” had never happened.

Fuentes took the padre to the impound. He wasn't sure he could identify the car. A numbered key was found in the glove box which looked like it belonged to a locker at the truck rental agency.

Elsa got out of a cab in front of her home and hugged everyone except Elena and Armando. When Elena said she was well and missed her very much she sounded anything but sincere. Elsa hugged Flor. When Armando held out his arms Elsa demanded to know why her mother was not there. Armando said “She has not yet recovered.” Elsa said “There was enough time for her recovery” Elena tried to reproach her for causing problems and Martin backed up Elsa.

Armando told her “We will talk in my study” where he told her the official version of the story, then embellished it with saying that seeing Domingo in a wheelchair could have caused a setback and now she appears to have amnesia. This did not satisfy Elsa who kept asking questions and insisted upon seeing her mother. It had been more than two months. Armando started getting angry, saying she was more rebellious than ever. This turned into an argument. Flor came in to tell Elsa that Meche came to see her.

Lamberto gave Silvia a Christmas gift; no progress yet on their relationship.

The reformatory had not admitted Meche because she didn't have the characteristics of their student body. Elsa told Meche what the “school” was like and to be happy not to have been there. She described the solitary rooms and why they were like nuns' cells. She was okay because “Rosa was just like you!” Meche told her about Aurora's and Carlos' engagement. Both were surprised. Elsa told her about Andres' disguise to get inside the convent and how that went.

Fuentes opened the locker and found the incriminating photos of Armando and Angela. He laughed quietly in satisfaction.

Aurora was just as unpleasant to Antonia as ever. Horacio accused her of being jealous that he was flirting with another girl. Carlos came back from the parking lot and Aurora left with him.

Elsa refused to dine at the Monteros' house for Christmas because of Angela. Flor sighed.

Armando and Angela met on the street. He complimented her [faded] beauty. He was unsure whether this was a good time for them to dine together, even in her home with family. Armando seemed to have similar thoughts about Carlos but said that the one Morales he can't tolerate is Hector. Unbeknownst to them Fuentes was watching through an iron gate and likely thinking – as we are – that the adultery was on rewind.

Estela refused to eat. The nurse then spoon-fed her.

Fuentes did go to see Angela with the photos. She took the high-and-mighty position saying he had no business invading her private life. He told her he was investigating the murder of Arturo Olmos. He mentioned that the photos could have been used for blackmail. She claimed to know nothing. He told her that concealment is also a crime. He carefully wished her a Feliz Navidad and left. She was able to hide her nervousness from him... this time.

Elsa told her father she would not go to eat with Angela while her mother was locked away and especially not with Angela. Armando reminded her why he sent her to the “internado.” They argued. He threatened that if she didn't go she would know what he was capable of, so she had better be ready by eight. His phone signaled that Angela was calling or sending a text. He walked out saying “8. Full stop.”

Andres came home for Christmas with gifts for Silvia and Antonia. He told him about his promotion.

Angela called Armando to tell him of Fuentes' visit but Sofie ran into his study. He had to end the call. After talking to Elsa Sofie told Armando she didn't want to go to the Monteros' either if Elsa wouldn't go. He told her that it was a family day and she agreed to go. She went into Elsa's room and convinced her to change her mind.

Andres helped his mother with the food and asked how things were with her new job and Angela.

Angela looked at the turkey and waited until the maid left the kitchen with plates. She then took a long swig of the Skyy vodka she now stored in the freezer.

The Morales family sat down to eat. Carlos had not been invited to the Montero house, Horacio teased him about this, and Hector wanted no nonsense about this.

The Quirogas arrived at the Monteros'. Both Elsa and Sofie came. They sat in the living room and Armando and Angela left unnoticed. They talked sotto voce about Fuentes' possession of the photos and related things. Elena arrived and they ended the conversation without resolution.

Toasts to the holiday in all households.

Estela lay in bed alone in that white room. All she got was a sarcastic “Feliz Navidad” from Nurse Ratched.

Count me as naive too. I thought Monica was going to actually help Chuchita. I’m thinking Monica needs Leo to help boost her career, but Leo doesn’t really need her. Don’t ask me where I got that idea.

How frustrating for Dani and Memo(and us) to be right in Sandra’s face and not be able to get her to talk. The big question is would Aaron really kill his sister for Fausto? But I love seeing Dani and Memo working together and enjoying each other’s company!

Mac and Yolanda really are two of a kind. Grace didn’t have a chance to turn out decent. Does JuanPa have much money? He’s training for the Olympics but had to move in with Sebastian when he left Fausto’s house. Grace will be in for a rude awakening. I almost hope they marry so she can see what forcing someone into marriage is really like!

I hope Ursula was lying to Fausto. Watch this be the one time she tells the truth.

So Fausto and Eugenio will both own the land. Or will the sale not go through.

Can someone really get a person out of a psych ward that easily?? Unbelievable! Ursula is a ticking time bomb and I hope she explodes on all the baddies. I thought Fausto was smarter that to trust a crazy woman...idiot!!

I can't believe Yo is going along with the baby selling. Diana, " A fitting punishment would be for these two harpies to have to live together the rest of their miserable lives." I agree but would add: "in prison"!

Thanks, Urban, for another great recap. My time frame is messed up. I thought it was closer to the end of the school year when Elsa left. But apparently she’ll be doing her whole senior year there! But they let her go home for Christmas. I know she’ll find out Andrea is there but I hope they don’t take any risks. Armando is much more dangerous than they realize. And I’m not sure why he prefers the alcoholic Angela over his wife. I feel so sorry for Estela. It reminds me of One flew Over the CooCoo Nest. Not sure if that’s the correct title. But I fear they going to turn Estela into a vegetable.

I’m not sure about Horacio. I think he would happily steal his brother’s girlfriend. Hope I’m wrong!

So glad the police have the pictures. Armando and Ángela need to be worried!

Susanlynn, Dani met Sandra when Isa was a baby. Sandra came to the house with Fausto to 'give' them Isa, and she recognized her from that all these years later. I suppose it's possible, it would have made an impression and I know some people have much better memories than me but if I saw someone once seven years ago I highly doubt I would recognize them if I ran into them today.

Liz, oh no I didn't mean to call anyone (other than Leo) naïve! Monica may or may not help Chuchita for real, it's possible; but what I thought was naïve is that Leo had this big grateful reaction to it as if Monica was the most generous person in the world wanting to do this wonderful thing for Chuchita, and Monica wants to do something for Monica. Whether that's helping Chuchita so she can help herself or whether she has something else up her sleeve, Monica is interested in helping Monica, period! Chuchita knew this right away and said what's the catch, whereas Leo just took Monica's words at face value.

I don't think Grace wants JP for the money and I don't think he has much money either. I think Grace wants JP because Gaby has/had him. This is about her jealousy of Gaby and has little to do with who JP actually is.

Also, it was mentioned yesterday, I forget by who; that Karen's revenge plan wouldn't make sense if she got pregnant because then Fausto would get what he wants. If I remember correctly, Fausto doesn't inherit anything at all from his father, the inheritance goes to Isa (or his bio-child) when the child turns 18. Fausto's plan was to steal the inheritance from Isa when she turned 18. So, if Karen was plotting revenge against Fausto, her plan could be to get pregnant, make sure his bio-child became the heir of the inheritance and then somehow make sure daddy never had the opportunity to steal the dinero from the bio-child thus stealing his precious inheritance out from under him via his child... not sure if that's her plan, or what her plan is, or who's side she's on or what she's doing!!! But that's one way she could be seeking revenge via trying to have Satan's child...I guess we will find out soon!

I am glad she is aggressively asking questions about her mother . Now she can partner up with Hector to pressure that doctor about Estella .

Andres was fortunate to Find work with Luis.Luis is a good guy who has been supportive and kind.

I don't like Carlos's beard .

Angela is on a slippery slope with her drinking . Her future does not look bright . It's amusing that she is having an affair with a married (awful) man while she insults and slanders Silvia.

I'm with you on those, Jarifa.

I love how well Andres and Luis duped the Monster Superior and having her eating out of their hands. Both actors really enjoyed doing those scenes. I am a little worried about what could happen to them and Elsa if they get caught down the road.

It's a good thing Elsa got out when she did because the temperature in that area drops as low as 29F in January. But how did she get out of there? Who convinced Armando to take her out? He is probably intending to let Estela rot in the manicomio and so now Elsa will be expected to take care of her younger siblings so that Elena can more into her new apartment with Gerardo (whom I think she will continue to reject sexually).

BTW, Elsa has probably graduated academically and she is a legal adult so it's a mystery as to how Armando got away with sticking her in that place at all.

I have wondered for several episodes now whether Angela also comes from a lower social class. I don't think she would be as defensive if she hadn't. Aurora is just as insecure as she is and she is very much her mother's daughter. Both have no qualms about getting into arguments in public places; they should know that this is seriously declassee.

Maybe the only thing that will turn Yo off Macario is to find out about No. 3.

I have to admit Monica is a sharp cookie. Chuchita doing her designs would be great, and I would be tempted to go for it. But this could be the beginning of selling your soul.

Grace made me laugh when she wisecracked to Yolanda that the baby was probably another of Macario’s outside kids. Darcy, I too think there’s still a chance for Grace to turn herself around. She didn’t actually sleep with JP, and the one truth I think she’s told is that she has no friends. She’s got to admit to her inner self that she liked being around the Santos (if only to sneer at them).

I will give Aaron credit for not wanting to kill his sister. I am still hoping he will trump Fausto and Karen before he goes down.

Loved all the women backing up Amparo against Ursa. I didn't realize Amparo had so many waitresses. Business must've picked up, plus no more stealing after Grace got fired.

Eugenio paying Macario with cash surprised me. I hope he had a video recording that exchange.

I don't think that any reputable doctor would recommend betting pregnant so soon after a miscarriage . Karen is arrogant and delusional enough to think that she can just try again for a pregnancy to achieve her goal. I have no idea what her plan is , but it is evident that neither she nor Fausto has any idea what love is except for self love . I am hoping that either Aaron takes them out or they take each other out .

I think Ursula will end up taking Mac out . Who knows how long he has been threatening and abusing her . Maybe kidnapping her baby will be the last straw.

Will we ever see what disGraceful looks like without the ribbons in her hair ? What would it take than reform her after growing up with those two dreadful parents ?

I don't think Grace will reform. She is desperate to escape her situation. I think that Sebastian called it when he described her brand of entrapment. I was hoping that someone can figure out what really happened and threaten Grace with getting police charges on her for being Macario's accomplice. JP may have more dinero than she does but not enough more for this to be worth the risks.

No way can Macario pull off this sales deception on both Eugenio and Fausto. One or the other of them will figure this out. Macario must pay the piper.

If they don't kill Este and her mother I want to see them scrubbing toilets at midnight in an office building.

This is exactly what makes this feel like a Mac's last stand type move to me!! Mac is a rat but I don't think he's stupid enough to think he can play both Eugenio and Fausto and just hang out in town. I think he's planning a one way trip out of town with little Martin! He can't get away with it but he also can't get caught if they don't find him. My bet is Mac is planning to take the money, run, and be nowhere to be found by next week when Eugenio and Fausto find out they have competing notaries for the same purpose! Mac probably also knows he can't just sell Martin and then come back to the restaurant for lunch and never be suspected or caught...this is his ride into the sunset moment, question is will he get caught or will he make it out of town?

I mean question theoretically of course, we've all seen enough novelas to know what they answer will be...

I'm thinking Elsa is home only for the Christmas holidays and will return to the boarding school. She remarked to Rosa that it was a shame she wasn't going home for the holidays too, but Rosa has said it's awful at home so staying with the nuns is just as well.

I certainly wouldn't recommend that school/prison, but Elsa has grown stronger and sharper being there. She's taking no BS from her dad about her mom. Andres is confident and hardworking. But neither of them realize how demented and cruel Armando is. Hector is the one who can take on Armando.

I hope one of the good guys can sneak in to see Estela and let her know Domingo is on the mend. Armando has her thinking Domingo is in grave condition. The Padre should have the power to visit her, but so far he seems to be a skittish one.

So nobody in Angela's household goes into the freezer except Angela and the servants to see the vodka there?

I have no sympathy for Aurora on not getting her mom's approval on her engagement, but much sympathy for poor Carlos that Aurora said "yes." Carlos and Gerardo should compare notes.

Horacio thinks he's all that and a bag of chips. He's too smug for me.

No sympathy for Aurora here, either. I've seen this actress only 3 times; in 2 of those she was a spoiled brat and may be stuck with that for at least another five years (She's 25 now). I also feel sorry for Carlos who may not be exciting but definitely deserves much better.

I am surprised Angela cooks at all.

To someone else's point I agree that Horacio would not be above stealing a girlfriend from Carlos. I just hope he doesn't. So far the Morales family is the only healthy one in this whole saga.

If Elsa is only home for Christmas she should develop an escape plan for the New Year. She is strong and she was before ending up in that hellhole but even that can have its limits. However I think she will first try to get her mother out of the other one.

Horacio seemed taken aback when he found out Aurora is engaged to Carlos. Did anyone else think there was history there between Aurora and Horacio?

I wondered if Elsa is home on Christmas break or home for good. If she is home for good, she could leave home, find Andres, and get on with her life. However, she is stuck in a telenovela so will likely have to suffer a bit longer under her father's thumb.

It would be just perfect if Angela gets so drunk she passes out, falls out of her chair at the Xmas dinner, hits her head on the tile floor, and becomes a vegetable herself. Um, right, I do. not. like. her. at. all.

Armando better get a very big anvil at the end of this telenovela. Just sayin'.

The younger sister of an old friend was put into an institution at the age of 11 and given electroshock, which should have been illegal. Her mother -- like much of her generation -- thought doctors were God's, so she didn't know better. When the daughter came out of the place two years later she had no memories at all. She could read and write but could not remember the people in her life. This is criminal.
 

CAMINO Ep 80 Part 1

Yo brings Grace out of her room and tells her that JP already agreed to marry her. Yo tells them not to lose any time and go to the civil court to see what paperwork they need; she would go with them but she needs to stay and care for the neighbor’s baby. Grace pulls JP zap that they can go, but JP tells he that there is no need; he will send her the information after he gets it on the internet.

Aaron gets Sandra in a chokehold as he tells her she will stay in a hotel; they will figure out what to do next after Memo and Dani leave…but he really wants to kill her already!

The search is on--Chuchita goes into a store to ask if they have seen Martín as Nelinda and Bernarda anxiously wait for her outside. Chuchita comes out sadly shaking her head. Sebas, Lupita, Gaby and Leo all go their separate ways desperately asking whoever they encounter if they have seen Martín…but no luck.

Mac arrives with an attaché case. After Yo asks why he took long, he replies that he went to sign the purchase agreement with Fausto. Yo questions why since he had said Fausto wouldn’t get away with what he wanted, so Mac explains that he also signed the purchase agreement with Mr. Uptight…and look at the huge advance the idiot gave him! Yo screeches in excitement as she sees all the money and is impressed with how Mac fooled them. Mac tells her that with that money and the money they will get for the kid, they will have enough to start a new elsewhere since they can’t stay here. Yo worries that someone might suspect that he took the kid, but Mac assures her that no one saw him. He cackles that when Fausto and Mr. Uptight find out that he signed the agreement with both of them, they will want to send him to prison (where he truly belongs)…and he will never step into a cell again! He starts to stuff money into Yo’s blouse and Yo giggles and mentions that she already told Grace she was leaving with him and wonders if he wants to say his goodbyes to her. Not at all, replies Mac, if he didn’t do it with his children, he certainly won’t do it with this mule! He then tells Yo that he is taking her car to fill it up with gas and have the tires checked. When he comes back, she should be ready to split! Mac leaves and Yo puts the attaché case under the table when she hears Martín cry.

Memo and Dani are walking outside. Memo can’t believe Sandra escaped without explaining anything. Dani points out that the man who was driving the boat was helping her. Memo wonders if it was the same man who did everything to Olivia. Memo is frustrated that Sandra was so close but escaped! Dani is confident that if they found her once, they can find her again…the truth always comes out. Memo agrees but won’t rest until he sees them behind bars!

Fausto is on the phone with Aaron telling him that he wants news and they’d better be good! Aaron tells him everything is under control; Sandra wasn’t able to talk to Memo and Dani. After Fausto asks how he found them before they did, Aaron responds that he has his contacts…but Sandra escaped, and he will find her. Fausto asks where Dani and the trailero are, so Aaron replies that he is following them...as he watches Dani and Memo sit at an outside table at a restaurant.

Max is outside and takes off in the car as Ursula slowly drives behind him in her wrecker (as if she couldn’t be more obvious!).

Dani complains of a sharp pain in her head, so Memo offers to help. He stands behind her and massages her head…as Aaron takes pictures. Once Dani feels better, Memo sits down and apologizes for the useless trip, but Dani doesn’t think it was useless. They weren’t able to talk to Sandra, but this trip has helped her know him again. As the theme song swells, she adds that she has discovered that he is a person she can trust. Memo's eyes glisten as he smiles.

 

CAMINO Ep 80 Part 2

Mac is on an isolated road when Ursula passes him and blocks his path. She quickly gets down and, pointing a gun at him, orders him to get out! Once outside, Max pleads that she put the gun down, but his pleas go unheard. Ursula lashes that it is his fault that Memo hates her and will never forgive her for deceiving him! Mac betrayed her and she will get her pay back right now! Mac spews that it was his fault, she put the yoke around her own neck…she lost her head and started blabbing. When he asks if she escaped, Ursula spurts she made a pact with the devil who had the doctors say that she wasn’t loca…but she is! And she is going to take vengeance on all the people who hurt her, staying with him, maldito traitor! When he threatens that if she shoots him, she will never see her son since he has Martín, Ursula stops pointing the gun at Mac and hisses that she doesn’t care about the kid, she doesn’t even want him. She started to walk back to her wrecker, but when Mac yells, “Loca!” she quickly turns and shoots him! Mac falls back against the car and slithers slowly down to the ground as he looks at Ursula who smiles as he slumps over.

Memo asks Dani if she has found out why she fell in love with him. After he gets closer to her, a pensive Dani thinks that all she needs to do is listen to her heart just as she is doing now. Memo softly asks what her heart is telling her, so Dani quickly responds that she needs him, that it misses him; although her mind is silent and she can’t remember their story, her body feels an energy that she can’t hold back; and her heart tells her that even though she would lose her memory a thousand times, she would fall in love with him again a thousand times! And they kiss!!! …as Aaron photographs them :-( As they kiss, Dani recalls all their special moments…from the time he gave her a ride in his trailer to the time they made love in the butterfly field. She slowly pulls back with a smile as Memo tells her that he loves the light in her look. Dani cries happily as she tells him she remembers…she remembers everything! And their song swells once more…she remembers their love story, she remembers everything! They both smile as they look deeply and lovingly into each other’s eyes!

(Skipped scene) Back at the isolate road, Ursula walks to Max as she spews that she hopes he rots in hell! After she spits, she goes back to her wrecker and drives off.

Smiling wide, Memo asks is Dani really remembers. Yes! While he was kissing her, she saw everything; in that second, she saw their love…she knew deep inside that he was the man of her life. Memo cries that his heart would break when she would look at him and not remember him. After she comments on how much they have gone through to be together, she adds that she remembers every time he made her smile, every tear she shed when she felt guilty for loving him…and every kiss he has given her! She kisses him and shares that she feels more alive than ever because she is with him…and Aaron captures it all with his phone.

At the restaurant, everyone is in a panic due to Martin’s disappearance. Gaby rambles that it’s been hours and they haven’t heard anything; they’ve looked everywhere and he is nowhere to be found. Lupita tells her that the Amber alert has been activated and the cops are looking for him. Sebas thinks that is the smartest thing they could have done. When Gaby wishes that JP was there supporting her, but already has a novia and doesn’t care, Sebas points out that JP doesn’t even know what has happened to her little cousin; he hasn’t told JP because he is under a lot of pressure. After Gaby sneers that she never wants to see JP again, Sebas knows that they have reason to be angry but they really don’t know what JP is going through—he’s not with Grace because he is interested in her, it’s because they threatened to send him to jail! Gaby’s eyes open wide as she asks, “to jail?”

 

CAMINO Ep 80 Part 3

Memo assures Dani that nothing and no one will separate them; they have the opportunity to be happy and they aren’t going to lose that chance. He’s going to fight with all his might for their love. Dani will too; she can’t see her life without him. Memo wants to be by her side always, and make a home so that they can see their children grow up and be immensely happy. They still need to see how Isabela will react. Dani worries that Isabela has been through so many changes for her young age, but Memo is her father and she is her mother; both of them love her very much and Dani will make sure Isa understands…and Isa knows, with the time she has spent with him, that Memo is the best father she could have. Memo then asks Dani if she remembers what happened on the day of the accident—was it him? Was it Fausto?

Fausto enters the bedroom smiling. He picks up his and Dani’s wedding picture and raves that the best thing that could happen to him is that Dani lost her memory; she is now tied to him and he will torture her until she understands that her place is in this house! Fausto then receives pictures from Aaron…if Dani and Memo kissing! He picks up the photo again and throws it to the floor breaking it to pieces.

Dani still has a blind spot in her memory because she doesn’t know how she got hurt and can’t remember getting to the hospital. After Memo reminds her that she went home to talk to Fausto, Dani shares that she remembers Fausto’s deception, she remembers all his lies, she remembers that Karen is his lover, and she remembers how they made a fool
of her…all their lives! Dani then remembers that Memo told her about it. Memo is glad that she can remember all of that, but he needs her to remember the day of the accident…what happened? Who was it? Dani searches her memory and remembers calling Karen. She asked them both to be there because she wanted to confront them. When Memo asks if she talked to them, Dani remembers seeing Karen’s car…but nothing after that! She vents that she can’t remember that moment and it frustrates her. Memo tells her to calm down; she shouldn’t force herself to remember, she is already remembering and he is sure she will remember what happened.

Sandra is outside as Karen drives up. Sandra is happy and appreciates that Karen came for her. When she tells Karen that Aaron didn’t let her talk to Memo and Dani, Karen roles her eyes. When Karen asks where her brother is, Sandra cries that she doesn’t know. He left her at a hotel and told her to wait for him, but she got scared; so she called her. Karen assures that she did the right thing; neither Fausto or Aaron will get what they want.

(Skipped scene) Grace brags to Yo-yo that she got what wanted. Yo points out that JP didn’t leave Gaby for her…doesn’t she realize that the young man is marrying her without loving her? Grace hankers that with time, she will get JP to love her madly. When Yo asks what she will do if instead JP hates her for making him leave the woman he truly loves, Grace falls from her cloud.

Sebas has told the girls how Grace is forcing JP to be with her. Lupita explains that the charge of abusing a minor is very serious, but Grace can also have problems for falsifying documents. Sebas thinks Grace is pressuring JP in the worst way…and it’s not just her, it’s her mother too. If this becomes known, there would be a big scandal that would affect JP’s sports career. Gaby asks who the mother is, but Sebas doesn’t know. Gaby then wants that she can’t believe so much evil exists in one person! She chides herself for believing Grace…what a fool she was! But she has to do something!

Grace spews that she will be content with marrying the man Gaby loves so she can suffer her life for losing the love of her life! She hates Gaby…and Lupita…and Chema! She grew up crying because her father had children that he did care about! When complains of a crying Martín, Grace berates her for agreeing to take care of him…just because her Tiger asked her to do so! Yo worries because Mac is taking too long.
 

CAMINO Ep 80 Part 4

Este arrives home with Tony. She offers him a drink, but he would rather have her. She tried to get away but he forces a kiss on her…and expects a prize…she is a fortune hunter just like her mother! He knows Loreta’s second husband who told him that they are about to be homeless.

Eugenio tells Amparo that the police don’t have any leads as to Martin’s whereabouts. Amparo cries that she doesn’t know who would take him and worries about what she will tell Memo. Leo comes in but has no news. Eugenio points out that Martín disappearance is strange; if this were a kidnapping, they would have already asked for a ransom. When Amparo again asks who could have taken him, Leo thinks it was Ursula, with the help of her Uncle Mac. Just then, Humberto and Lola arrive from their trip. Seeing their long, worried faces, Humberto asks what’s wrong. After Amparo tells him that Martín has disappeared, Humberto falters and grabs his arm.

Este lies as she tells Toni that people are just spreading rumors. Toni thinks it’s very odd that she sold him her car at such a cheap price. He wonders if it was because they don’t even have money to eat. Since she sold him her car at such a cheap price, he assumes that she’s willing to do anything...so she can show him how much she needs and show him some affection. As Este slaps him, Loreta walks in and asks what’s going on. Toni replies nothing; he was just leaving. Este cries that her second husband is telling everyone that they don’t have money. When she adds that the imbecile offered her money to take her to bed, Loreta responds with, “and you let him go? You’re an idiot!”

Chema and Isa are playing out in the patio when Fausto storms in and tells Isa that she is going with him. When Chema grabs his arm in an attempt to stop him, Fausto pushes him down and carries Isa away!


In a soft lit bedroom, there is a candle lit table with wine, grapes, and cheese. Dani and Memo slowly walk toward each other and hold hands. Memo whispers that from now on, they will have a honeymoon that will last forever! They kiss tenderly. Now on the balcony, Dani and Memo kiss again. Memo leads Dani back inside where they kiss once again as they slowly sit on the bed and start removing each other’s clothes (love the music!!).

Aaron returns to the hotel…and sees that Sandra has left. When he tries to call her and she doesn’t answer, he scowls that he should have killed her!

Lola is with Humberto who is clamoring in pain…that starts in his stomach and goes up to his arm. When Lola sees that he is having cold sweats, she suggests that he may be having a heart attack...and convinces him to let her take him to the hospital.

Chema cries as he tells Amparo and the others that Fausto forcefully took Isa. Eugenio explains that though it was wrong for Fausto to push him, Fausto had every right to take her, Isa is his daughter. Ursula rushes in asking if there is news about her son, so Amparo asks to speak to her outside. Once outside, Amparo tells Ursula that Leo thinks Macario helped her take Martín. Ursula denies having seen Mac, but thinks Mac is behind it…and she knows he is with Yo-yo. Amparo quickly agrees to go with Ursula and look for Martín.

Gaby has gone to see JP who is in the kitchen of Dani’s house. JP thought she never wanted to see him again, so Gaby explains that Sebas told her everything so she knows they are forcing him to marry Grace.
 

CAMINO Ep 80 Part 5

Yo is still complaining that Mac hasn’t arrived. There is a knock on the door and when Grace opens it, Ursula storms in asking for and taking her son. On the other side of the room, Amparo is shocked to see Grace and asks what she is doing there. When Amparo asks if she took Martín, Grace denies doing anything…it was her father! Yo confirms—yes, her father; Grace is her daughter… hers and Mac’s! Talk about a CARA IMPACTADA!!!

Memo and Dani are snuggling in bed. Memo’s time flies when he is with her and Dani feels the same way. But they need to turn on their phones just to see how the kids are. As they see all the missed messages and calls, Leo calls and tells Memo that Ursula is out of the clinic, Fausto came for Isa, and worst of all…Martín disappeared! Big gasps!

Fausto has taken Isa to his new place. When Isa asks why they didn’t go home, Fausto responds that things are going to change; they have to be more united than ever. After Isa cries that she wants to see her mother, Fausto bluntly tells her that he and her mother are going to separate. Fausto is emotionless as Isa cries that she doesn’t want them to divorce. He tells her it is inevitable; he doesn’t want it but her mother betrayed them. He then callously shows her the picture of Memo and Dani as he tells Isa to look at her mother who claims to be perfect. And look at Memo who promised that he would never hurt her! They have both lied to both of us…your mother is your bio-father’s lover. Isa painfully cries and takes the phone shouting, “NOOOO!!”

JP thinks Sebas was wrong in telling Gaby everything, but Gaby thinks it’s good because she didn’t understand why he suddenly became novios with Grace. JP berates himself for drinking and throwing everything away. Gaby pleads that they can’t let Grace get away with what she wants… she took advantage that he was drunk….he can’t marry her, he doesn’t love her. JP thinks they’ll send him to jail, but Gaby argues that they can talk to a lawyer. When JP worries that a scandal like this could end his career, Gaby urges him not to give up…not to marry Grace; they can find another solution. She knows JP is a good and noble…and she won’t allow Grace to ruin his life…or take the man she loves. They kiss!

Grace grins that Mac is her father! Yo-yo proudly hisses that Amparo is Mac’s wife, but she’s the woman who has always made him happy…the woman who Mac truly loves. Amparo shakes her head in disbelief as Ursula is enjoying the show. When Amparo questions that all these years Max has been supporting another family, Grace responds that he really didn’t support them, he hid of them. He would always promise her mother that he would marry her, but he never followed through. And he never gave her his last name. After Amparo feels sorry for Yo because only the worst can be expected from Mac, Yo slaps her and growls that she not feel sorry for her, who does she think she is! Amparo, with chin held high, proudly replies that she is a lady with too many values and dignity to lower herself to her level! (WTG, Amparo!)

After JP asks Gaby to forgive him, Gaby pleads that he not marry Grace. JP needed her look and her kiss; he can lose everything but not her. If she is at his side, he will face anything.


 

CAMINO Ep 80 Part 6

Isa is in a bedroom crying as she asks why they are there. Fausto replies that they will now love there. He tries to get her to eat but she isn’t hungry. Fausto puts on his (sorry) sad hurt face and tells Isa that he understands how she feels because he also has his heart broken because of her mother and her lies. She didn’t care about anything—not me, not you; she decided to destroy the beautiful family we were for the fling she has with Memo. And that is why they need to be together.

Dani and Memo walk to his trailer. Dani can’t believe that so much has happened and Fausto has his phone off! Memo tells her the doctors released Ursula and is sure she took Martín. Dani cries that they should have been there to protect their children…Fausto had already threatened to take Isa away from her; if something happens to her daughter she will die!

Yo scrunches her face as she angrily barks that she can finally tell Amparo everything she has wanted to say for so many years! She hates her! She has always detested her! Amparo never appreciated the man she had! As she circles Amparo like a lion, she continues that her tiger didn’t deserve a wife like her! He would always arrive seeking refuge in her arms because he was fed up with his brujer. She tells Amparo to take a good look at her because she is a true woman, a woman who wouldn’t suffocate him like Amparo did! Mac had a woman (in Yo) who supported him no matter what. When she adds that she has loved him like no other, Amparo shoots back that she is a fool! If someone suffer in her marriage it was her; she practically raise her children on her own because she never counted on Mac who always lives off of her and her family. Before putting bread on the table, he would gamble and lose all the money he had. Yo mocks that may have been at her house because here he would never do that. Amparo sneers that Yo doesn’t know how much she will suffer with a man like Mac; he will continue lying and deceiving her because that is his nature! Who knows how many women he has elsewhere. She turns to face Grace as she adds “who knows how many children he has elsewhere!” Yo barks that Amparo is a liar and she is just hurt because her Tiger is only hers. Amparo laughs as she retorts that Yo is wrong; many woman go through this situation…Yo has to choose—she either sends off Mac as far away as she can or she can suffer the rest of her life for a love that will NEVER come!

Rgv Chick, a masterfully crafted summary written with intelligence, insight, and great heart. Although your writing always shines, your ability to capture the warmth and tenderness of Memo and Daniela’s love is beautiful and touching.

“And their song swells once more…she remembers their love story, she remembers everything! They both smile as they look deeply and lovingly into each other’s eyes!” Pure unadulterated love.

“She kisses him and shares that she feels more alive than ever because she is with him”. Pure poetry.

Yet, their momentary happiness once again plunges into despair. Martin is kidnapped and Fausto has inflicted cruel, psychological torture on Isabela. When Fausto smashed their wedding picture so viciously, I did briefly wonder if there was a trace of love for Daniela mixed in with his all-consuming hatred and resentment.

Fausto is clearly seething at Aaron’s betrayal regarding Sandra. I do not think either Aaron or Sandra will make it to the end.

I thought Ursula did intend to walk away from Macario, but his bragging, boisterous “Loca!’ changed her mind! He never could keep his mouth shut, could he?

Amparo did indeed stand up to Yolanda “with chin held high.” She regally rejected Yolanda’s pathetic attempts to claim victory. Amparo was the warrior who reared and took care of her family in spite of not because of Macario. As Yolanda unleashed years of jealous bitterness, Amparo never wavered. She kept to higher ground while Yolanda sunk in the muck and mire of her own making.

Amparo’s toxicity has been evident all along but Loreta proved a formidable counterpart wanting Este to prostitute herself for money.

Did Ursula sneak out of the room as Amparo and Yolanda’s talk reached a fiery pitch?

Thank RGV chick for this wonderful recap! The episode had me on the edge of my seat and then your recap put me right back on the same edge! It was gripping as you expertly weaved throught all the events of the night, building up tension and suspense and reveling in the few light moments.

I kind of laughed with everyone was going around asking if anyone had seen Martin. I mean I get it, what else are they are to do, but a newborn baby isn't exactly distinctive or uncommon to see. I mean what are the odds that some stranger in the store saw a baby and would be able to say yep, it was THAT baby??

I wasn't surprised that Mac met his end, like I said yesterday the last couple days have felt like Mac's last stand and I figured his anvil was about the arrive. Ursa is now a cold blooded killer (if she wasn't before) determined to take revenge on everyone who hurt her and I had the same question Diana had: 'Did Ursula sneak out of the room as Amparo and Yolanda's talk reached a fiery pitch?' Or is she going to let Martin go back with Amparo, play nice and sneak attack?

It's so interesting that Yo sees clearly how Grace's plan to steal JP from Gaby isn't going to work the way she hopes but she's so blind to the fact that she never had Mac's love or respect. It drives me crazy too that both of these ladies blame his other victims/family, Amparo and Kids instead of recognizing he is the villain here. I'm also wondering what is going to happen to that briefcase full of money now that Mac is dead...

I can't even talk about Falso callously hurting Isa to manipulate her for his own gain....whatever his end is it won't be painful enough

I am glad Gaby knows the truth about Grace and JP and is convincing him to fight but I have a very bad feeling about this still. It's there with these two similar to the comments of Lupita and Sebas about being together forever, it feels like famous last words of a foreshadowing of something not good....I hope I am wrong and both couples are headed for HEA.

Dani recovering her memory and her love story with Memo was like the fresh air - minus Aaron - throughout the night, but I had a hard time enjoying it knowing the gut punch that was awaiting them the second they turned on their phones!

I meant to mention last night how artful Memo and Dani's love scene was. Their figures in silhouette, the scene conveyed their love and passion exquisitely.

As much as I have every confidence Daniela and Memo will be blissfully happy in the end, Darcy, your comment about the younger couples mirrored my own uneasiness...for Gaby, there has been far too much hurt and grief, which continues unabated. And ..."the comments of Lupita and Sebas about being together forever, it feels like famous last words of a foreshadowing of something not good" seems sadly prophetic. I also hope I'm wrong as well.

Gracias, Darcy for the great recap. Every nuance captured. Just finished watching the episode (I got home after midnight).

Part of me wants to see Ursula take out Fausto for its irony but I think he and Karen should finish each other off. It only surprised me for a moment that she shot Macario but then again, she seems to be on the warpath which would probably end with Memo for her last stand. Of course, he can't die.

I also hope Humberto survives. The tone of this story dictates that the Santos family will all survive and be happy.

Fausto's cruelty to Isabella is so seriously sick there isn't a word to describe it. He is both a psychopath and a sociopath. So is Karen. I'm still not quite sure where Aaron falls on that spectrum.

My favorite line was this: She {Amparo] regally rejected Yolanda’s pathetic attempts to claim victory. Amparo was the warrior who reared and took care of her family in spite of not because of Macario.

What baffles me is how and why she put up with this for so long. Her home truths telling to Yolanda is proof positive that you don't know anyone until or unless you live with them. Yolanda doesn't want to face the truth. The fact that she never knew about his gambling addiction and refused to believe Amparo is very telling.

While it may not have helped why didn't anyone in the search show recent cell phone pix of baby Martin? At least half of them should have at least two such photos on their phones and those are almost too easy to share.

Lupita should be checking JP's situation. Does it make any legal difference that he didn't know that Grace was only 15 and had a fake ID?

It was a breath of fresh air that Tony had Este's number.

Aaron stalking Danila and Memo was scary.

Two sets of Famous Last Words in this episode. I wish I could remember if there were other examples in the past.

Dear Chickie , thank you so much for covering every bit of an episode rampant with evildoers pushing their plans.

Ursula did, indeed, suddenly disappear with Martin in her arms while Yo and Amp were sparring .

I noticed that we got a long look at that briefcase filled with cash under the table at Yo's apartment. There had to be a reason for that long look.

I had a strong feeling that Ursula was going to be the one who delivered Mac's anvil since she had full knowledge of how greedy and unscrupulous he was and was a victim of his abuse.

The love scene between Dani and Memo was ethereal and lovely , but I kept thinking " yikes. Your kids are in danger." I know that they didn't know , but when you have young kids or babies , you don't usually turn off your cellphone off. ....

I'm glad Ursula got to take out Mac. She's no angel, but he triggered her downfall bringing Cesar to town and then mercilessly steering her to insanity.

I want Yo to know Mac was going to run out on her. What a fool she is to crow about being this idiot's outside woman for years.

Memo and Dani's scenes were so sweet, but I couldn't stop thinking about them having their phones off while unbeknownst to them EVERYTHING in their world was running amuck.

Is Sandra stupid or what? Why can't she see that Karen is mercilessly using her. If Aaron kills Sandra, I will blame Sandra herself.

Fausto is the lowest ever showing Isa Dani and Memo smooching.

Yay! Gaby is sticking by JP and talking some sense into him. Thanks to Sebas spilling the beans yet again.

Mistreating/abusing a child is the lowest of the low. I don't think I had ever seen a TN where a child was used and abused until this last year--first, in "Mi Fortuna Es Amarte" and now in this. I wonder if the child actors get some type of counseling before and after they film the episodes.

Susanlynn, "The love scene between Dani and Memo was ethereal and lovely" Yes, it was and the music was perfectly selected! But I have to agree with those who had mixed feelings because of the phones being turned off! I could have understood turning them off at critical moments, but to have them off for such a long time??? Seems to me tht Dani asked Mmeo to check in with Amparo and ask about the kids just a couple of hours after they left...and they didn't check any time after that??? Something is wrong there!

I didn't really want to talk about NE-Fausto because his scene with Isa was so upsetting...and that's because they just arrived at the new place. I hope Isa doesn't stay for long because I'm sure he will continue torturing her.

Gaby is slowly becoming more mature. It was a relief to see her go to JP and be so supportive.

I was completely impressed with Amparo. Yo took her stabbings, but Amparo never flinched and stabbed right back!

I was taking notes, so I really didn't notice if Ursula left with the baby or not. I hope not because she hates the baby and I fear she would hurt it. Please don't go there, writers!

About JP, I don't know if it would help him legally or not that Grace had a fake ID perhaps so, but professionally I don't think it would make a difference. Just a hint of a scandal like this and he would probably kill his career and Olympic chances even if he was later legally proven innocent.

Would Aaron really kill his own sister ? I think he will draw the line at that . I think he will deliver Fausto and Karen's anvils because they have both been playing him for so long.

I wonder what Ursula will do next . I don't think she will hurt Martin.

I also thought about Grace running off with the money and I hate the idea of her not paying for her sins. I want somebody to get the truth out of her and get her to shut up in exchange for not charging her as an accomplice in the kidnapping.

Angela invited the guests to have more wine. Lamberto was annoyed that she had already had six glasses. She ignored him and said to tell a Christmas story. He got annoyed, she was irritated, and Elena stopped this by asking Aurora about her engagement. Angela got insulting about Carlos as she picked up her seventh glass of bubbly. Armando was becoming irritated as Elena began needling Elsa about not being married while all her friends in town are getting engaged. Sofie suggested doin the gifts. Elsa seconded her. All the Quiroga “kids” wanted to see their mother and Armando sang the same old song about that. Armando said he would talk to the doctor again. Angela said not to get morbid; surely Estela will get well soon. Awkwardness continued.

Padre Reynaldo dined with Guillermina, who prepared a Luciullan feast from her great-grandmother's recipes.

Silvia and Antonia asked Andres about the Big City. Andres talked about how different the city was but that it is possible to meet good people. He had a good boss and good friends.

When alone in the kitchen cutting slices of cake Elsa blamed Angela for her mother's incarceration in the sanitarium. Angela denied any wrongdoing, Elsa brought up the A word and Angela slapped her. Flor got there just in time to get on Angela's case about this. Threats in both directions.

Carlos and Meche were getting ready to leave for a public event. Horacio wanted to go with them. Hector told his children that their mother would have wanted them to stay.

Lombardo handed the ignition instrument to Miguel to light the candles. This ritual was to attract goodness to the family. The colors were about goodness and abundance. Angela tried to lure Armando away from this, but he didn't look sufficiently interested. Elena got up suddenly saying they needed to go to the Misa Gallina. She asked Armando on the grounds of family image; he tried to decline accepted reluctantly.

They all went. Just after Padre Reynaldo began the reading Andres's family arrived. Meche discreetly draw Elsa's attention to this. They came in and unfortunately Angela noticed them. Lamberto asked what her problem was and she said – loud enough for all to hear – “your bastard has arrived.” A wave of sotto voces went through the congregation. The padre called for silence, Andres and Elsa exchanged smiles. And the beat goes on.

Armando brought Domingo home and gave him his gift. The Apple tablet was much appreciated. This normal father-son moment was interrupted by the arrival of Commandante Fuentes, who asked to speak privately to him. In the study he got straight to the point. Armando denied having anything to so with Olmos' death. Fuentes advised him to get a good lawyer because he was the Prime Suspect. He showed Armando the photos. Fuentes also knew about the blackmail.

Aurora started getting nasty about Andres with Elsa, who was helped out of this be Meche. Aurora then turned to Angela, who said that Lamberto should handle this. He said he should greet his son. “This bothers me” Aurora said and Lamberto was not about to put up with her nonsense. Andres was short with him but at least voices were not raised and drew no attention.

Armando handed the photos back, telling him that this is not proof that he killed Olmos. Fuentes agreed but that his sarcasm would be noted.

Meche noticed that other girls were noticing Andres but Elsa thought it best not to approach him for appearances' sake. Elena and Gerardo approached them and she grabbed Elena by the arm to drag her home. Elena went up to Andres and demanded to know why he dared to be there, using her father's previous words on the subject. Gerardo told Elena to hurry up and pushed her toward his car. Andres and Elsa mouthed “Te amo” at each other before she walked away.

Guillermina saw this and told Padre Reynaldo. He answered that Andres had every right to come home to his home town. She anticipated that Armando would hit the ceiling. The padre told her to go home and rest.

Silvia and Antonia were both worried for Andres and suggested that he leave. Andres was not afraid; if anything happened to him Armando would be the suspect.

When the rest of his family came home Elena told Armando Andres was back. He suspected that Elsa had something to do with that but Martin distracted him to the gifts and he began giving them out like a normal father.

Andres went out and Silvia freaked out. Antonia reminded her that he was a capable adult.

Armando went to Elsa's room and got Flor to leave. When Elsa told him she wasn't seeing Andres he told her he was giving her the girt she wanted: to see her mother the next day. She alone. She also was not to tell her anything. He said “Felix Navidad” as he left her room.

Angela sat alone in the living room in relative darkness. Aurora came downstairs but could not persuade her to go to bed. She told her that this hurt her in view of their recent differences.

Balcony Scene 2 or “There's a Place for Us”: They kissed and he gave her a gift. A new cell phone. He cautioned her not to tell anyone she had it and if anyone found out she was to send a message to #6 then throw it away. Two kisses and a te amo later he left.

He sent her a good morning message upon getting up. She texted him back that she was going to see her mother. He was not to make her answer him while she was there. She would write back when she got back. She put the phone back in the dresser drawer. [The closeup showing this is a bad omen.]

Armando called Angela that morning and she wanted to see him that night. He told her that Fuentes had been to the house and what transpired. He said he couldn't understand why because the photos had nothing to do with the murder. As Angela said “but Lamberto can't find out” just he entered the house behind her. She turned around and saw her husband, After a couple of seconds of silence he asked if something happened. She said everything was alright and ended the call. She argued with Lamberto when he asked whom she had talked to.

SSDD for Silvia and Andres as he admitted seeing Elsa the night before.

Elsa and Flor got into the car to see Estela. Armando said that Estela was getting the best care b the desk doctors and all that jazz including warnings that her mother might not recognize her.. Elsa said “I don't believe that; I am her daughter.” He told her she was not to speak of this to her siblings and Flor was not to comment. The car took off. Nobody saw Fuentes lurking near the gate. He pulled out of sight.

Lamberto told Angela they needed to go to the Morales house about Aurora. Angela did not want to go. She spun a story he didn't believe. He told her he would find her out someday.

Armando went to his study and loaded his pistol.

Elsa told her driver to stop the car. He was trying not to because of Armando's orders, but Elsa was stubborn and the car pulled into the gate to her church. She got out and persuaded Padre Reynaldo to come with them.

The other Quiroga kids were playing with their Christmas presents when Armando said he had to go out on business. Elena pointed out that it was the 25th and he told her that sometimes business invades that. He said he would be back soon. He did not know that Fuentes was following him.

Lamberto and Angela went to the Morales house so that Carlos could formally ask permission to marry Aurora. Lamberto gave an immediate Yes. Angela started with the “What's the hurry?” routine then realized what that usually meant. Aurora told her that she had nothing like that to worry about. Carlos said they will do everything the right way. Aurora said they were going to see the padre. Angela got up to get her into another room to give her the same lecture as in the last episode. Stalemate.

“Everything alright?” Hector asked. Aurora said “Very well and I will be happy to be a part of your family.” She hugged him. He opened the champagne to celebrate the engaged couple. Angela objected, saying they should wait for them to know each other better. Horacio and Aurora looiked at each other while the others were oblivious.

Armando stopped near the lake he had once loaded with gasoline. Fuentes was just close enough to watch. Armando wrapped the gun in a dark piece of cloth, looked around, then threw it into the lake. Just after it hit the water Fuentes walked up to Armando and asked “How are things?”

Dr Leonidas led Elsa, Flor, and Padre Reynaldo into his office and tried to give them the BS about Estela's treatment being slow and aggressive [which sounds rather contradictory] and that there could be consequences. Elsa kept the questions going and he answered with sleepwalking, muscular weakness, memory loss, The padre interrupted him to ask if these drastic measures were necessary and Leonidas replied that they observe the effects very carefully. He led them to Estela.

Fuentes questioned Armando about why he was at the lake. He was not satisfied with the answers
He asked what he threw into the lake; Armando said it was a rock. “Good way to relieve stress.” Fuentes didn't buy that, finally telling him that he will have the lake dragged and he was sure he would find the murder weapon.

Estela looked like she was in a trance. Elsa tried getting her attention. Flor and the padre were shocked. Estela did not react until Elsa said “It was my father, wasn't it? Did he do this to you?” At that she turned her head toward Elsa, looked her in the eye, tried to speak, and collapsed against the pillow. “It's temporary,” Leonidas said. Elsa almost cried as she begged Estela to get better.
Estela made some incoherent sounds. Leonidas called for Nurse Ratched. She arrived and as Estela's cries became louder Leonidas shoved the others out of the room. Nurse Ratched gave Estela an injection and in moments she was out like a light.

Angela followed Lamberto to Silvia's house and made a scene, again referring to Andres as a bastard. [She may have been drunk, but that is no excuse.] Lamberto managed to restrain her only for a few minutes. She became insulting again and this time when she called Silvia a cualquiera Silvia slapped her hard enough to sound like a whiplash. Angela tried to pull the Class card but Andres told him that something worse will happen to her if she came near his mother again. Threats from both each against the other. Angela laughed as though she were insane.

Aurora and Carlos were in the Morales house. He said that for all Angela's objections it all went well. Aurora said that nothing really pleases her mother. He went to get pen and paper so they could make the guest list. Just as he left the living room Horacio came in. He sat down next to Aurora and asked her if she would fix him up with Elsa. They answered the doorbell. Fuentes came in with two uniformed officers. He told Elena he was there to see her father. Armando came down carrying Domingo, whom he put into a chair. Fuentes handed the arrest warrant to Armando.

Urban, thank you for your fantastic summary of a(nother) depressing episode.

"Balcony Scene 2 or “There's a Place for Us” was my favorite line.

Most of what transpired previously faded as Elsa visited Estela. Seeing what the treatments have wrought on Estela was sickening. Watching Elsa's heart break as she tried to comprehend seeing her mother in that state made my heart sink. Is it, could it really be temporary? The damage hardly seems reversible.

Despite getting (almost) caught throwing the murder weapon away, being confronted by the incriminating pictures and finally being arrested, Armando remains ice cold and confident. His piercing looks show no sign of fright, only evil confidence.

I also cringed that Elsa keeps her phone in her nightstand. Elena will find it in seconds flat.

"Horacio and Aurora looked at each other while the others were oblivious". Both unlikeable, I really don't care...

"Angela tried to pull the Class card but Andres told him that something worse will happen to her if she came near his mother again" seems like the next tragedy waiting to happen.

Can you believe that electroshock therapy is still being done to 100,000 patients per year? It is generally used in treating patients with severe depression, acute mania, and certain schizophrenic syndromes. The key procedural rule is the patient must be deeply asleep.

It does look like Estela is much worse. She stopped taking the sleeping pills but the electroshock is screwing with her and creating more trauma because she was awake during at least the first procedure.

Treatments are usually 2 or 3x weekly for a total of between 6-12. Some may need up to 20. What we don't know is whether Leonidas stuck to those rules or not. My dinero says Not, and that he exceeded this. Is he a descendent of Josef Mengele?

Estela is not only at risk of permanent memory loss but also loss of creativity, energy, drive, concentration, and difficulty learning new information.

Elena will find it in seconds flat. I'm betting on that, too. That will send Elsa right back to the Magdalene house.

Indefinitely.

Urban, thank you for explaining the patient is supposed to be asleep! How terrible for Estela and certainly anyone who has gone through that in real life. 100,000 patients! I will have to read up on that, but the procedure seems so barbaric. Leonidas is even more despicable than Armando (as impossible as that seems). He took an oath to help, to heal which makes what he did so heinous.

I hope Hector doesn't delay and gets Estela out right away.

Elena sees herself as lady of the house; not sure what else is going through her mind...

A few thoughts:

Urban, “Slow and aggressive” does sound contradictory. It sounded odd to me, too.

The term “bastard” being used so liberally as an insult due to a lack of legal parentage seems very old fashioned in these novelas.

Diana, ITA the phone being put in the drawer was not a good sign. Why didn’t Elsa hide it? Stick it under her mattress? Tape it under/to the back of a piece of furniture? Elsa is proving to be none too swift.

I was surprised to find out that electro shock therapy was a viable treatment back several years ago. Evidently, it must have some therapeutic value when done correctly for specific conditions as Urban noted and not an instrument of torture.

I like that Armando is getting arrested at home so everyone there can see it and hear it happen.

Thanks, Rgv Chick, that was great. A great episode too. I thought I had read and commented yesterday but when I started reading I realized I never got on yesterday.

I hope Mac isn’t dead. That would be too easy for him!

I loved the scenes with Dani and Memo and hated Fausto with Isa. Amparo was great, Yolanda really thinks Mac is so wonderful. I hope what Amparo said gets her thinking. I want Mac alive so everyone can get even with him!

Thanks, Urban, what a great recap of another depressing episode. Is anyone having a merry Christmas?

Armando is pure evil. There are plenty of good characters in this but enough not so nice characters that will be willing to help Armando.

Why did Armando let Elsa go see her mother. Did he want to hurt her. He must know what Estela is like, practically a vegetable. I like her but don’t see how she can ever fully recover. And Armando must dislike his daughter but apparently isn’t worried she will tell someone what’s going on.

A neighbor of mine had severe depression and received electric shock therapy. This was years ago and she did tell me she lost some memory. But I’m sure she was never in the state Estela was in.

I know they won’t keep Armando in jail this early in the show but I’m glad they’re wise to him.

Yay! Elsa is shaping up to be an astute heroine. I love that she insisted that the driver go get the Padre to take with them to Estella. Honestly, the Padre should have some kind of clergy rights to visit. But Elsa putting the phone in the nightstand? Ouch! Yep, it will soon be in Elena's cold hands.

The abuse of Estella is heart-wrenching. But I'm betting Erika Buenfil didn't sign up for this role not to have Estella overcome Armando somehow. Although Estella couldn't get words out, I actually see it as a positive sign that she was able to at least try to respond to Elsa.

Horacio and Aurora, yuk!

Armando arrested, yippee! How did this detective manage not to be corrupt like the ones who arrested Andres? Or does he have a price?

Estella looked like she has gone somewhere scary. I hope she can come back from this atrocity that Armando has committed against her. He is the one who should be incarcerated . ...forever.

The actor playing Andres seems so sweet , positive, and youthful. ..nothing like his nasty , angry character in Herencia.

Yes, I doubt that anyone in this episode had a happy Christmas... except Fuentes, who has caught a big fish (actually a shark).

Of course it's too early for the charges to stick. Hector needs to get elected and rescue Estela.
