Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 68 – Part 1 of 5

Augi is pissed to find out Fede has a bastard child out there somewhere! The bloodline is scared and it’s their duty to make sure any would be bastard children disappear for good! If this conversation can be trusted Augi never knew why Amelia disappeared and it was Vicky who ordered Fede to get rid of her!! In a flashback, (this time Fede does manage to look younger) we see Vicky beginning the seduction of a very young Fede to get him to obey her every whim. Fede says what happened between him and Amelia just happened and he was afraid to tell his uncle about the child. Fede claims he disappeared Amelia because she was saying things about Augi behind his back.

Adrian falls asleep during an exam and Laura makes a point to go get something from the front of the room so she can bump him and wake him up before the teacher says anything.

Lupe is now crying to Mica in the kitchen about Augi’s attitude toward women and repeats that Augi doesn’t deserve to know the truth about Mari. This time Mica agrees, she can’t believe she was trying to encourage Lupe to tell Augi. Lupe reiterates that she will never tell him! Never! Lupe and Mica are now in agreement and Mari will never set another foot in that house so Augi can never hurt her!

Mari gets a letter delivered just as Carloca is trying on her wedding dress and Jesus is looking sadly at an engagement ring. The envelop delivered to Mariluz is an invitation to Jesus and Carloca’s wedding!

Mari wants to know why Carloca would send her an invitation? Really?? Like Conchita says it’s because Carloca is a mean and spiteful person!! They try to wish her well anyway and Mari cries in Concha’s arms as she asks her to forgive her for encouraging her to fight for Jesus.

Vicky says she doesn’t like to say I told you so but I doubt that’s true; she did however tell Carloca that the place she recommended has the most beautiful wedding dresses! And, Carloca’s dress is beautiful, short but beautiful. Carloca has to admit that Vicky was right and at that moment, Augi arrives home and says the same! Vicky turns the conversation to searching for houses! All recently married people need new homes, right? Carloca says Jesus is taking care of that and whatever Jesus chooses is fine with her. Augi has other ideas! He thinks that Carloca and Jesus should stay in the house with them!!! Vicky immediately objects to this and says newlyweds need their space! The look on Carloca’s face is priceless as she is truly enjoying Vicky’s displeasure but she does finally agree with Vicky that she’d like to have privacy with Jesus. Augi says that’s okay but they should stay in the bungalow on the property, at least until the baby is born. They can have some space but still be close enough for daddy to take care of them! And Carloca can redecorate however she’d like! Carloca does agree to this and Vicky looks steamed! LOL

Jesus shows his brothers the ring and Damian says this will make things more serious and after giving Carloca this ring there will be no going back. Sweet Sami says the ring is really cool and Jesus should give it to Mariluz instead!! (Love him!) Jesus distracts the repeated you don’t have to get married to raise a baby talk by playing a tape of the baby’s heartbeat and telling his brothers that’s the heartbeat of your nephew! Valero arrives all out of sorts, wanting to know if Jesus is going to sell the shop?? I understood that Jesus had a visitor and it had something to do with finding a place to live but I am not sure how Valero came to the conclusion it meant Jesus was selling the shop.

Valero wonders where he will live if Jesus sells and Jesus tells him he isn’t selling the shop but even if he did, Valero would go with them wherever they went because they are family! However, Jesus says he’s just looking for a place to live for him and Carloca and the baby. Sam points out that Jesus said they would never be separated but Jesus says he can’t bring Carloca and the baby to live in the shop but he’ll still be there every day.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 68 – Part 2 of 5

Vicky throws a fit about Jesus not living in their house! Augi says Jesus and his brothers are becoming part of their lives and Vicky needs to accept it but Vicky isn’t done protesting. She doesn’t want her house to become like an annex to the garage!!! LOL Augi says it’s done! The decision has been made and this is about what’s best for Carloca’s health, he won’t change his mind! He hopes he can count on Vicky’s support! (yeah right)

Belen goes to visit Emma and she’s happy to see her but she hopes she isn’t bored because since she can’t see she really can’t do much. Belen says it sucks that Emma can’t see, she can’t do anything with her phone or watch TV…. but you can listen to music Belen reasons, or podcasts!!! This gives Belen a great idea, there’s lots of interesting podcasts out there. Emma doesn’t know anything about it but Belen offers to show her – there is a really cool true crime (I think) podcast she likes listening to. Belen puts on the podcast and she and Emma listen together.

Mica is taking snacks to Emma and Belen and Vicky stops her to find out where she’s going with the tray and Vicky is scandalized by the idea that her daughter is hanging out with an orphan!! The horror! Em is commenting to Belen how much she likes the podcast but just then Vicky pops in to perform her own live horror show by creating a scene and accusing Belen of being everything from a slut to a thief simply by nature of being an orphan. Belen tells Vicky it’s a shame she’s so fancy looking but has no class and then leaves telling Emma they will see each other later and Mommy dearest makes a joke about Belen being stupid too since Emma can’t see at all.

Jesus shows Carloca the ring and she loves it! She hands it back to him and he puts it in his pocket!!! LOL She asks him what he is doing and puts out her hand as a prompt. Jesus goes to put the ring on her finger but she stops him and prompts again for him to get down on a knee. The ring is finally placed on her finger and Carloca goes on and on about all the love and commitment that doesn’t actually exist between them. Jesus distracts her with news of the apartment search, he wants to know which she likes best and Carloca looks at them. They are all fine, but Carloca has a surprise for him! She drags him off to see.

Fede is on the phone with someone asking if anyone came to ask about Amelia, he tells whomever it is to keep an eye out and let him know if anyone comes around asking.

Adrian gets his test results back and he’s excited that he got a good score but the teacher cautions him that this is just one test there are many more to come and his place is still in risk. He better keep working hard if he wants to remain in the program. Laura offers again to help him study and this time he accepts.

Sam arrives at the ring during wrestling practice and he learns he’s the talk of the town as everyone wants to know about Captain Justice! He is given a big envelop of cash for his earnings and then a second envelop for his win! Sam is excited this is the first money he’s earned on his own without Jesus’s help or not through Jesus’s garage! (I’d argue he earned plenty on the ranch, he just didn’t receive the pay he earned!) Sam is proud, Valero and Selena are cheering and the guy at the wrestling ring is sure this is just the beginning if Sam keeps winning!

Carloca shows Jesus the bungalow and he doesn’t want to stay there of course, but Carloca gives him the hard sell about being comfortable and secure until their baby arrives and Jesus agrees but it’s only until the baby is born! Carloca is glad they will be together in the place where they were first together!! She’s all I love you’s and excitement but Jesus doesn’t share her excitement of course! Carloca tries to start making out with Jesus but he breaks away.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 68 – Part 3 of 5

Jesus goes so far as to sit Carloca down and tell her the truth… he’s going to marry her, he’s going to take care of her and the baby but he doesn’t want to lie or to pretend, he doesn’t love her and he isn’t offering her a marriage complete with the nights of passion she’s dreaming of. He can only offer her companionship, nothing more; does she still want to get married? If looks could kill, Jesus would be dead!

Sam is still at the ring with Valero and Selena, Valero suggests he needs his commission for being Sam’s coach. He has to explain commission to Sam and then he breaks it down to he gets this much for training, this much for keeping Sam’s secret and a little more for I didn’t catch what. Selena laughs and tells him not to take it much further but Sam doesn’t seem to mind. He has no idea what to so with so much money and he tries to give some of it to Selena but she doesn’t accept! She tells him that a better idea is if he takes her out just the two of them later on. There’s lots of cheers from the crowd for that idea and Selena says Valero to should use his money to go on a date! Sam suggests Mica but Valero has another idea for what to do with his cash.

Carloca rallies and says she absolutely wants to marry him! She can’t live without him and she’s sure in time she’ll be able to convince him to love her. Jesus tries to protests but Carloca insists it will happen.

Damian is trying to sketch, looking at Mom’s painting, smelling her scarf and looking at dad’s pic and mom’s blurry pic! He lectures himself to remember and he promises Mom he will finish the sketch one day! He looks down at the scarf again and finds a hair. A clue, he believes, that she has red hair! But we next see Elisa with a dresser top full of wigs sure to negate the usefulness of Damian’s hair clue.

Elisa and Santi are listening in on Augi’s office as he has a meeting with Jesus and Fede. They are talking about being ready for the upcoming race and all the work that needs to be done. Augi is sorry but Jesus and Carloca won’t be able to go on a honeymoon, there’s too much to be done. Jesus, not sorry at all, assures he’ll talk with Carloca and explain the situation, everything will get done Augi can be sure of that. Augi rather pointedly says he’s happy that somebody is focused on work and that he can count on Jesus since his nephew is inexperienced in this area and he doesn’t want any more mistakes.

Elisa is more and more sure that Jesus can’t be her son. Listen to him, he’s Augi’s little pet, he’s even willing to cancel his honeymoon to please him! Santi says he’s probably even marrying Carloca for interest!! Elisa says Lisardo was nothing like that, there’s no way this guy can be him!

Valero calls Mica over because he has a surprise for her. He got a little extra money and he thought of her! He pulls a bag out and hands it to her! Did he buy her flowers or candy? Nope, he went out and bought her a brand-new IRON!!! Mica is thrilled to receive this gift and I think a little bit of romance died in the making of this scene, but it was kind of cute and Mica and Valero went back and forth with almost kissing and pulling away, before finally locking lips on the third try. (If my date bought me an iron…. well, I’d probably laugh, a lot! But I don’t think there’d be any kisses or second dates)

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 68 – Part 4 of 5

Fede is whining because Uncle Augi chastised him in front of Jesus. He claims it’s what Jesus wants! He’s trying to become your right-hand man! Augi counters by telling Fede not to give him a reason for criticism. He needs to pay attention to what he’s doing and get results! He hasn’t been able to get him any information about the Sanchez boys and Fede says it’s because nobody knows anything! A listening Elisa is thrilled to hear Augi doesn’t know where her sons are. Augi just tells Fede to stay on top of it and to find something! He needs to know where those boys and their mother are! He also tells Fede to call Mari to come for her last check and to make sure she accepts it. Fede says he’ll take care of it.

Elisa is both crying and laughing with joy celebrating with Santi that Augi doesn’t know where the boys are! She has to find them first, she will find them first, and she will protect them!!!

Damian tells Domi about the hair discovery and although he doesn’t remember mom well, he’s happy to have a clue. He hands Domi the hair and she somehow feels the difference between real and fake hair. She tells Damian she hates to disappoint him but she thinks it’s hair from a wig. Damian asks if she’s sure and she admits she’s not; she isn’t an expert but they could ask one! They could go ask a hair stylist! She also wants to go talk to Emma’s doctor because she hasn’t recovered her sight yet and every day, she gets more depressed….

Adrian brings flowers to his lady love, what a concept! Mica tries to sneak him in but the wicked witch catches them and goes off on Adrian. She blames him for everything again and she doesn’t want to hear anything about how he had nothing to do with any of this. She demands he leave before she calls the cops and even says ‘shoo shoo’! Adrian leaves the flowers with Mica and yells out ‘Emma, I love you’ before heading to the door. Emma hears Adrian and gets up to go look as Vicky can be heard yelling ‘get out Orphan!’ Emma stops at her bedroom door in defeat, looking every bit as depressed as Domi said. (Too bad the doctor can’t prescribe her a better mother!)

Domi shows up to get her check and Mica is upset that she’s entering through the servant’s entrance, she tells her she should be entering through the main door but Mari demurs and Mica lets her in. Unfortunately, her first view upon entering is Carloca’s wedding dress. She fantasizes it’s her walking down the aisle to meet Jesus, and couldn’t she at least fantasize her own dress?? Her dream is shattered by Carloca’s harsh voice demanding to know why she’s touching her dress! Surely, she’s planning to do something to it, she’s dying of envy!! (No, honey that’s you) Mari says not to yell at her, she didn’t do anything! Carloca starts another round of he’s mine not yours… and after Mari walks off Carloca orders Mica to take the dress to her room and then stops her to ask if she washed her hands, as if she’s eight! Mica carries the dress up the stairs.

Domi is asking Emma’s doctor more about Emma’s condition and he tells her the same thing he’s said before. They have to wait because she could start recovering her sight at any moment. Speaking of Emma, she’s at the mercy of her horrible merciless mother who is thrilled to bring Rodrigo to visit Emma and even says ‘finally you have a decent visitor!!’ MD happily leaves the boy she knows once tried to drug her daughter alone in her room (even giving him cheek kisses for good measure) and flints off to do anything except be a good mother! Emma tries to talk to Rod about the horrors of being blind but he’s too busy going through her dresser and stealing her panties to listen to her! When Emma hears a door shut and asks what he’s doing, Rod pretends he’s looking for alcohol!!! This piece of garbage actually precedes to encourage Emma to drink after everything that’s happened!! (And this is the ‘decent visitor’….MD needs a gigantic anvil to crush her like the house crushed the wicked witch in Oz!)

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 68 – Part 5 of 5

Speaking of wicked people, Carloca’s turn to dream about Mari in her wedding dress!!! She sees visions of Mari taking her dress and her man as Jesus tells her that he knows the baby is Iker’s and he isn’t going to marry her! Carloca imagines ripping the gauze off the dress on Mari but she’s really ripping her own dress and Domi and Vicky try to stop her, pulling her away and asking what’s wrong.

Mari thinks Augi was generous with her severance. Lupe says she shouldn’t have accepted it but Mari says she earned it!! She reorganized Augi’s business and worked hard. Lupe thinks she should at least save the money for a rainy day but Mari says nope, she’s going to spend it! On all the stuff they still need for the house!

We get a little min-montage of: the Garcia ladies out shopping, Carloca bringing food to Jesus at the garage and him munching away, Domi and Damian out for a ride and some romance, Sam doing pushups in training but then stopping suddenly and trying to act casual when Damian walks up, then back to push ups when he walks away, the whole family with Emma hearing the doctor say she’s healing well – still no sight for Em, Conchita and d. Abel dancing, Adrian looking worriedly at his phone, the Garcia’s getting their furniture delivery, Augi and Briana in bed while Vicky is home alone in bed reading a book and staring at the time on her phone, Mari practicing English, Jesus starring at the re-encuentros site, Carloca getting her new wedding dress and smiling at the engagement ring on her finger!

Thanks, Darcy! Our show returned , but never really got past 3rd gear this episode. Nevertheless, you captured the good, the blind, and the ugly with your patented flair. I’m here for it!

Earlier, I’d noticed but neglected to mention how Jesús wore the Zorro mask well in my recap. Friday I noticed Federico’s “Lewk” was firing on all cylinders for a change then neglected that in my recap as well. Darcy, thanks for keeping the Eye Candy appreciation alive.

The Amelia mystery reveal is moving slower than molasses. So…She was talking smack behind Augi’s back? Vic seduced Fede to get rid of her? While getting rid of her, Fede slipped and fell into her ovulation cycle?!? ::adjusts Beanie Velcro::

The voice on Belén’s podcast sounded awfully familiar. I didn’t have time to go back to see if it was one of our leads.

I was nervous for Jesús (and Mari) after he broke down his intentions and boundaries for a marriage to Carluquis. Quick! Hide the flammables.

As usual, Sam(mi Sweetheart) stole all his scenes. I loved his interaction with Valero and Selena in the ring. We shouldn’t have to worry about him being taken advantage of. Looking forward to his date, and we know he can hold his liquor after surviving Bri’s clutches.

I don’t mind Valero’s Rowenta romance with Mica. It’s a nice break from Guadalupe & what’s-his-babble, Augi & Doménica’s BFF/nanny, Jesús & Mariluz, et. al.

I also liked Damián and Doménica working together like a real couple for a change.

Is there any way we can get expedited shipping on Mommy Dearest’s anvil? Possible positive: she is getting so fed up with her fortune and house being mishandled that she’s bound to strike soon. That will be fun. Meanwhile, I’d also like an Anvil Juvenil for Ridiculous Rodrigo.

Carloca gave everyone pause by ripping her hot pants wedding ensemble to shreds. I’m disappointed we didn’t get any Iker. He’s overdue.

The montage made me nervous as well. Is Univision snipping and merging scenes amok?!!

O.S. I actually saw the Televisa broadcast of the episode too and it had the same montage so it’s not the Uni scissors this time! I don’t mind Valero and Mica either, but an iron? Really????

I didn’t think to note the voice in the podcast, I am curious now….

Yes, Carloca should be ready to explode right now but I don’t really get Jesus. I mean I know he doesn’t love Carly and all but if he isn’t even going to try on any level ever to have an actual marriage, WHY GET MARRIED??? If you are going to be the just friends dad and co parent, listen to everyone and do it from across the street!! I wonder how often actors get their scripts and struggle with the whole ‘this makes no damn sense’ of it all…

Oh well, give us more Sam and less everything else and everything will be okay!!

Guerrero. Another superb recap, Darcy!I expect that Augi might not feel the same way about his own bastard child as Fede's. Laura does seem to be trying to help Adrian. I hope she finds someone nice at the end. Yep, that wedding invitation was because Carlota is mean. Yet again Vicki is a disgusting snob--this time about Belen, who is being a great help to Emma. Would Fede do in his own son? I cannot believe that teacher and what he says to Adrian. That is not the way to encourage a student to keep doing well. But we have seen that Mica desperately needs a new iron, and that Vicki can't get around to providing one. Valero is being thoughtful. Once again we see that a Mexican doctor is allowed to give out more information to a patient than those in the US. If Jesus can prove that he and Carlota never had sex after the marriage ceremony, that would be grounds for annulment.

Didn't Carlota already know Jesus didn't love her? I'm curious as to what she think this relationship is like. I was wondering when the luny tunes would really start and here it goes.
I was a bit cross with Valero for taking money from Sam because Sam has no idea how much he has and how much Valero. Even if he was helping Sam, I didn't like the scene at all.
I don't get why Adrian struggled with his studies from the start. Emma problems aside, he said everyone knew more than him right away and this seems to continue.
Who educated Victoriana? I hope they'll get bad reviews on whatever platform rich people write reviews for the people they hire. Or were her parents openly rude? I thought the mark of the rich was that they could make fun of you in a way that you punderstood the jab when it was a bit too late. But vicky lacks brains for this.
 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 69 – Part 1 of 4

Fede is reviewing security cam footage and finds Elisa in Augi’s office, he’s not happy. Vicky finds Augi’s shirt with a lip stick stain and I think she recognizes the perfume but I can’t quite make out what she said.

Meanwhile, the Garcia’s are celebrating over breakfast since today is the day the Polezeria will re-open and Lupe is sure Villa’s problems will be over soon too. Villa agree,s I think, either way he goes off on a monolog and the ladies are excited when Mari can actually understand and follow Villa. I think he’s planning to go into the coffee business but I wouldn’t guarantee it.

Fede tells Augi he’s thinks Elisa was in the office and he tells him about the video footage. Just as Fede is saying ‘it’s clear Elisa Sanchez doesn’t want to leave you alone’ Vicky arrives on the scene wanting to know who Elisa Sanchez is, it’s Augi’s lover, right?

Villa is still going on and on and Concha thinks even she understands him now! Lol They are talking about overcoming adversity and Villa suggests that Mari should help him in his new business! She says he can count on her! Mari is very grateful for the job!

Augi tells Vicky that now isn’t the time and Elisa Sanchez is unimportant and unworthy of Vicky’s jealousy but she wants to keep arguing. Augi dismisses her by telling Mica to take Vicky to her room and make her some tea!!! LOL Augi and Fede retreat to the office and Mica offers Vicky tea but Vicky warns her she better not start treating her as if she’s the crazy one in that house!

Valero tries to talk to the boys about organizing a bachelor party for Jesus but the guys aren’t in the mood. This is more like a funeral than a celebration, they’d rather try to convince Jesus not to get married but they recognize that isn’t going to happen either. Damian apparently isn’t as tired of Mari and Jesus saying goodbye as viewerville is, because she suggests they organize a goodbye between Jesus and Mari instead!! The problem is Mari doesn’t want to see Jesus so the guys come up with the (not) brilliant idea to get Domi to help them trick Mari into meeting up with Jesus!

Domi’s first reaction is what you’d expect, she wants to make sure Damian is actually suggesting she help them trick Mariluz into getting together with Jesus behind Carloca’s back, but Damian defends the idea. He knows it sounds bad but he feels like Jesus and Mari need an opportunity to say goodbye. To speak plainly with each other and get some closure and this is their last opportunity to do so, will Domi help? She should have said no, but she looks like she’s considering it.

Lupe is talking to some guy from the bank about getting a loan for the business…this is an advertisement about options available to small business and specifically woman business owners it appears. They discuss Lupe’s options and she’s thrilled to find the option she needs.

Adrian is asking Damian how he sneaks into the house to see Damian because he wants to go see Emma. Damian gives him a hard time but he ultimately shows him how to scale the castle walls and watches as he makes it in.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 69 – Part 2 of 4

Emma is teaching herself to walk around her room when Adrian arrives and Em is thrilled! Adrian goes to lock the door and Emma starts to regain her sight. She’s not seeing clearly yet but she’s starting to see something. Just as the celebrating starts Emma notices Adrian has her bra in his hands (he had just picked it up off the floor where Rod left it) and finds it weird that Adrian has it. She wants to know why? Adrian tells her the truth but Emma isn’t sure if she believes him. She reminds Adrian that that’s the problem they have, Adrian keeps secrets from her. Adrian wants to know if Emma really believes he was playing with her bras and she says no, but what else explains this? Adrian doesn’t know and suggests someone else must have moved it and Em realizes it must have been Rodrigo. Adrian isn’t thrilled to learn Rod came to visit Em alone in her room but he doesn’t want anything or anyone to continue to come between them and he is willing to prove to Emma that she can trust him by telling her what is in those letters he wouldn’t tell her about before. Em is thrilled Adrian is going to let her in.

Augi wonders what Elisa wanted in his study and he tells Fede that this just demonstrates why it’s so important to know what the Sanchez’s are up to! Fede has an appointment this afternoon to meet up with some guys who were around when the Guerreros’ pulled their masked stunted and Fede thinks they might have seen the men and will be able to identify them! Augi says to offer them anything they want; we need to find those men! (Fede is getting out a chess board all during this conversation and I wonder if these men are actually going to do something as mundane as play a game of chess or if something is hidden in the game)

The boys try to convince Jesus to go to his ‘bachelor party’ but Jesus predictably isn’t interested. Tomorrow, he marries a woman he doesn’t love. There’s nothing to celebrate. The guys try to spin it to celebrating their plan advancing but Jesus isn’t moved by that either. Eventually their begging and downright goofiness breaks through Jesus’s stern exterior.

Mari sits staring at Jesus’s wedding invitation and thinking about how it could’ve/should’ve been her wedding. She gets a call from Domi wanting to meet her somewhere. Next, Mari is at a table in a restaurant when champagne arrives even though Mari didn’t order it, the waiter says it’s paid for and Domi calls to say she’s running late. Mari gets up for some reason and she sees Jesus entering. She immediately suspects Jesus was in cahoots with Domi but Jesus tells her honestly that he knew nothing about it. He’s there to meet his brothers for his bachelor party. Mari doesn’t believe him at first but it becomes clear they were both set up and Jesus convinces her that they should sit and talk a while. He suggests a toast, and she says to what wasn’t? Or to what is, he counters. And thus starts the refrain of I will always love you no matter what.

Santi plays the piano will Elisa looks pensive; they are interrupted by Augi’s voice and it seems Elisa’s microphone wasn’t found during the discovery of her office visit. Fede has returned to the office and he proclaims he now knows who the Sanchez boys are and Elisa worries that Augi has found her sons!! Fede says he’ll have a big surprise for Augi tomorrow! Augi will have the Sanchez boys in his hands the very next day, Fede used some slang here and I didn’t follow completely but he said something about them having some negotiation with Augi and how they tried to fool him but now he knows exactly who it is and tomorrow the gig is up! And the men, ARE actually playing chess!! With these happy tidings Augi is off to have dinner and he invites Fede to join him!

Elisa is worried but also cautious, could it be that Augi DID find the microphone and this is a trap? There’s no way to be sure! Elisa’s instincts are correct though and Augi and Fede stop at the door whispering about how they are going to trap Elisa with this and then her sons will come out of the woodwork. We now see the mic visible on Augi’s desk! Santi thinks they can intercept Elisa’s sons without them being trapped by Augi.

Damian and Domi are having a romantic dinner standing up in the garage with Coke! LOL It looks so out of place with Domi semi-fancy and Damian totally casual and not so much as a chair.

Mari and Jesus are now drinking and toasting and Mari wants out of there but Jesus begs her to stay. Jesus tells her how much he needs her and needs to be able to see her everyday and Mari needs to be away from him because it’s just too painful. Round and round they go, and round and round and round and round…. sigh. Mari asks what is the point of this conversation and all of viewerville chants their agreement!

Augi is celebrating Carloca’s marriage tomorrow and he asks isn’t Domi happy? She says of course, and hugs Carloca who half-heartedly accepts this. Domi wants to go get Emma to eat with them but Emma is already bringing herself to the table and she announces to the family that she can see now! Everyone is happy for her except MD who is rude and dismissive as usual! Augi gets onto Vicky for being a cold and heartless mother who never has anything nice to say to Emma but Vicky fairly points out that he is an absentee father who isn’t much better. This family is so much fun and the scene ends with the girls hugging daddy while Augi glares at mommy! Carloca probably isn’t thrilled either since daddy told Fede not to discuss business since this night was going to be about celebrating Emma’s recovery – so much for Carloca’s spotlight, she hides her distaste very well though and even hugs Em.

I refuse to listen to more of Mari and Jesus crying over what might have been….the 531st goodbye is not worth noting. They remember all the precious moments of their mostly apart hardly-ever together love story…

Adrian shares with Emma his mother’s letters and tells her what it means to him. He says Emma should read them; he’ll never be able to introduce his parents to her but this way she can get to know his mom. Emma feels honored that Adrian is sharing with her and she starts to read. As we hear Amelia’s voice talking about the dark man, she writes clearly that the butterfly tattoo was on his neck and Adrian notes it and realizes his mistake in assuming Patricio could have been his dad. He explains the mix-up to Emma.

Fede is at the clinic trying to find out more about Ameila’s son but he gets nowhere. Emma says it doesn’t matter who Adrian’s dad is he’s wonderful and his mom loved him so much, it’s obvious. Adrian tells Emma he has decided to forget about looking for his dad. He doesn’t need to know, he has Emma and his cousins and he’s going to accomplish the dream of his mom, he’s going to be happy!

Valero and Damian are unpacking car parts and there was something that was surprising to them about the quality of the car parts but I didn’t understand what the issue was.

Lupe and Villa finish setting up the restaurant for tomorrow’s opening. Villa says something about the opening tomorrow and Lupe says she didn’t understand anything he said but it sounded beautiful! LOL Right there with you, Lupe! This encourages him to talk more and make less sense but he throws a present in the mix. A statue of the Virgin for the business.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 69 – Part 4 of 4

Domi enters her room and finds Damian waiting. He’s drawing and Domi talks about how talented Damian is and how he should be doing art shows. He’s talented like his mother and this leads to Domi saying she hopes he finds her soon because she wants to meet her. She also gave the hair to someone for testing and they’ll be able to get the results and find out if it’s real hair soon. Does Damian want Domi to go with him? Damian says he wants Domi to go everywhere with him, and these two start making out.

Lupe prays to the Virgin that she’ll be able to distract Mari from Jesus’s wedding tomorrow. She wishes Mari hadn’t fallen in love with that boy, she doesn’t want the story to repeat itself and for Mari to suffer the way she did. This time needs to be different; it has to be different.

Jesus arrives home and the boys want to know what happened but he doesn’t say much, just thanks them for what they did and goes to his room. Valero comes up and wants the scoop but there’s no scoop to give.

The Garcia women discuss tomorrow’s wedding and Lupe encourages Mari to move on and not suffer. Mari agrees and says she’s looking forward to her new job and she’s learning English, she’s going to stay busy but Lupe doesn’t want her to just stay busy! She wants her to let go, to let her heart heal. She doesn’t want her to end up like she did! She encourages Mari to find another love and Conchita says yes, keep looking for Lisardo! This possibility excites all three women…. oh boy!

Oh damn!! (And lots of other four-letter words!!!!) We don’t get a romantic dinner with Sam and Selena, instead Sam is IN BED with Briana!!! I was okay with a lunch or dinner but I didn’t think he’d actually sleep with her!!! Briana warns Sam to be careful tomorrow because she’ll be at the wedding with Patricio and he doesn’t know she dates other people; he is a more traditional guy who wouldn’t agree to an open relationship so she doesn’t want him to know she’s been seeing Sam. Sam says what about Augi? He could get mad too and he’s a dangerous man! Bri says he’s not a danger to her and sometimes powerful men are like that! Sam wants to know how Briana knows this? Does she know something about Augi’s business? He’s so powerful and has so many businesses and lands, surely, he stole them from others! Does Briana know anything about this? Bri says nothing but she’s looking at Sam very intently and I think our sweet Sami over-played his hand.

Speaking of, Selena is arriving at the garage at that very moment looking for Sami and she isn’t happy to find him not at home. She brought him some sort of sports drink and she’s wondering where he is. Sure enough, Briana is suspicious and she asks Sam why he is so interested in Augi. Is he interrogating her? Sam takes a big gulp of his champagne and our episode fades to black.

Thanks, Darcy! First things first: just when we thought Sam could not get any cuter, he goes and DANCES (I believe the kids call it “The Floss”) in this episode. More on him later.

Thanks for capturing (and staying awake) during all the muck they threw at us in Episode 69. The 531st goodbye (LOL) with our main couple was extra special. I did like the way Jesús pronounced champagne.

When Vicky found the lipstick on Augi’s collar, I thought she suspected Guadalupe (her favorite dead horse after Emma). Also noted: her tone with Fede this episode was extra frosty. Hmmm. “As if she’s the crazy one in the house” indeed!

The bachelor party premise was corny, trite, and Beanie-tastic. At least it’s over, and after today’s maldito fútbol I guess we’ll get to the BIG wedding.

Also Beanie-tastic: Emm City regaining her sight and traipsing off to Adrián’s treehouse/shack for a reading of Amelia’s letter collection. The only thing mildly amusing has been both Rod and Adrián clumsily stumbling through scenes with that giant pink sports bra. Where are they going with this?!!!

A trip down the stairs. A love potion that renders our protagonist oblivious. A false pregnancy. A love forbidden by class difference. A GAME OF CHESS! Did anyone have this new visual shorthand on their telenovela bingo card?

Fashion corner: Doménica has been wearing some fun outfits lately. I was meaning to give her Sandy @ the End of Grease look a shout out last week.

Mommy Dearest’s patented neglect is further proof that we probably won’t be getting any flowers in the attic when Adrián & Emma’s relationship is finally revealed.

Valero and Damián have come across some suspect car parts in the garage. Valero actually tried to bite into one(!) to assess quality control. My take was that the parts were way too flimsy or thin so they’re either getting swindled or the parts are being used for other nefarious reasons…dun Dun DUN.

I too was not ready for a frolicking Sam & Bri and may have cursed like a sailor. Our Sam needs to stick to dancing and stay away from poker. Hopefully he will charm his way out of her clutches. Ya’ll know I’m Team Patricio. I wish he’d burst in and call her out for being the garden tool that she is.
 

Guerrero. Excellent recap, Darcy, and great comments, O.S.! So Vicki thinks it's ok to cheat on Augi but not vice versa? Since Heriberto had problems with the authorities about "invasive species" is it ok for him to grow Colombian coffee? Yep, Augi and Fede did find the microphone. Even Carlota seemed to be happy that Emma regained her eyesight. That just makes Vicki look all the more awful. I think the car parts turned out to be recycled and of inferior quality. Presumably that will matter later?

Sam in bed with Briana was weirdly too out of character somehow. Why exactly did they do it right in this episode? This novela really is too much even for me and that does mean something as I haven't got much experience in the telenovelaland so you could convince me of much, but I'm not that crazy yet.

Thanks all, this episode threw me. I definitely wasn't expecting to see Sam and Briana in bed. I agree waterlily in was too out of character and jarring. I hope they don't take this much (if any) further, because I don't want to watch that.
