"SENOR 8" Episode #1200:

Howdy from the Alamo City folks. Here's a very short mini-recap of tonight's episode.

*Psycho Jaime barges into Berenice's hospital room & gets into an argument with Isturiz & takes his estranged wife back home.

*DEA Boss, Colon, Karla & Castillo at the hospital.

*Over at Los Pinos, President Gomez Labrador scolds Alfaro about Karla discussing the shooting incident of Corina, etc.,

*Alfaro puts DEA Boss on full-blast on the phone & slams Gringo meddling in Mexico's internal affairs.

*Meanwhile somewhere flying over South America, we see Super Javi doing his very best in flying the private jet while Ritula, Felina & Co., are holding on for dear life.

*Creepy Aguirre hiding while Crazy Tracy is talking to Ishmael. While that's going on: Aurelio & Mecha make love AGAIN in Mexicali LOL.

Well, since no one has posted about last night's episode, I'll put up some random things I remember.

César has come to the club to see Rocio. He tells her he wants to know who is wife is. Rocio claims that she's NOT Adriana's mother. According to Rocio, Adriana was an orphan.

Olga tells Camila that something about César scares her. (Camila remembers Olga's words later in the episode.)

Noelia tells her grandmother, "I've been thinking that Mama really did drown." She asks the grandmother whether prayer would help. The grandmother replies that prayer often helps. Also, "Those who have left us are with us all the time."

With a gun drawn, Pluto enters the room where Rocio and César are.

Inez gets a quick look at the gynecologist's appointment book and sees that Tomas accompanied Mariana.

Francisco Javier (FJ) tells Pluto that if César were guilty, he'd be hiding, not asking questions.

César thanks Linda Marquez for helping him get away from the club, and thus saving his life. He hugs her. Of course, Camila sees them hug. She looks puzzled.

Camila asks César what he was looking for in her parents' study. He claims he wasn't trying to steal anything. She's still not pleased. He says she's just like all the other rich girls: capricious. Later, she apologizes to César and tells him that she can't get him out of her mind. They hug--and Big Ed sees them.

Inez asks Tomas whether he and Mariana were expecting a baby.

Pluto warns FJ: "Take care of César or he'll take care of you."

César has the key to FJ's place. He goes there looking for more info about FJ and MAD/DAMA. He doesn't realize that FJ's alarm system warns FJ (who is at his parents' house) that someone has entered his house.

In FJ's house, César finds a map--I'm not sure of what. He then finds a notebook with the notataion Mariana123. He decides rightly that it's the password to FJ's computer. On the computer, he finds a video of himself with Yvonne. (HUH??) He wonders why FJ has this video. Oops, the episode ends with FJ having returned and holding a gun to César's head.

Just some highlights (combined and not in order) to get the conversation started. Please fill in the gaps:

Rocio denies being Adriana’s pole dancing mother. She did know about FJ and her plans to leave together. She claims that Adriana was an orphan and never had roots. She wanted to live a free spirit and die the same way. (How did Cesar and Adriana meet anyway?). She ends up giving him the keys to FJ’s apartment that she was keeping for Adriana.

FJ is in bed on the phone with Pluto telling him that Cesar is not his concern anymore. Pluto tells him if he doesn’t do something then maybe a call to FJ’s Senator girlfriend will change his mind. Pluto demands that FJ come and take care of Cesar or the prensa will know the secrets of FJ’s life. Alejandra comes back into the bedroom and looks suspiciously at FJ as he ends the call. FJ looks concerned.

Camilia listens to Olga complain about Cesar’s snooping and work habits. She begs Olga not to say anything about Cesar being in the study to her mother.

Ines heads out to the gynecologist office. Tomas wants to go with her but she leaves without him. Ines manages to get the front desk clerk to leave her computer unattended and she sees that Mariana was indeed a patient there accompanied by Tomas. We later learn that Tomas apparently is the father of this baby. This revelation causes Tomas to start drinking again at the reconciliation dinner for FJ and Alejandra.

Pluto tries to hold Cesar hostage, but Detective Marcus blows her cover and allows Cesar to escape. Pluto later laments to FJ that he has caused so many problems by following Diana to his club that now he is going to ban all the Del Rio from entering, even his voyeuristic younger brother, Tomas. FJ looks surprised.

Cami tells her father her theory about Miriana being pregnant. She asks if he knew Mariana. Pasqual tries to act cool, but he definitely knows something.

Cami confronts Cesar about his whereabouts after she witnesses him arrive at the Manse with Detective Marquez (and hugs her). They get into a mini-fight with Cesar calling her a clueless little rich girl. He tells her to ask Renata why he was in the study. Cami does just that and discovers that Renata told Cesar to stay away from her daughter. Cami tells her mother that she wants to have a real marriage with love and respect, not what her mother has which is a farce. This comment gets her a class A, TN chachetada.

At the reconciliation dinner, Pasqual catches Cami and Cesar kissing in the kitchen (it was a pretty good kiss!), Renata continues to insult Tomas as he sits on his pity pot and drinks more. FJ’s house alarm goes off as Cesar uses the keys to get in and start snooping.
Rocio ends up at Cesar’s house and doesn’t seem surprised when Noelia knows who she is. Maybe she is the surrogate grandmother?

Cesar is busy looking at a video of him and Yvonne messing around in the toilet paper aisle of the grocery store on FJ’s computer that he doesn’t hear FJ come in until he feels the cold steel of the gun against his temple. This is how the episode ends.

I was super impressed by Marquez's police skills, especially shooting the gun out of Pluto's hand. Of course her days at the club were numbered because FJ would recognize her. Camila should worry.

interesting how the lines between rich and poor are continually being drawn in the del Rio home, I was disappointed when Pasqual took that stance with Camila.

Tomas is definitely in the closet about something, I don't think we know he got Mariana pregnant, not sure if we know she is pregnant, I think that was all Ines jumping ahead, but Mariana being pregnant would be a good reason she made the move to disappear. I'm thinking FJ may also be suspect.

it's easy to forget that Estella was murdered, and by the earlier computer voice that called FJ being so masculine, I'm thinking the criminal is a woman.

I'm still curious why Pluto gets so huffy about Cesar coming around asking questions.

 

"JUEGO" Episode#10:

Juanita: I do NOT trust anyone in this Telenovela because it seems like everyone's got a motive to whack Adriana.

Deb: Let's hope law enforcement isn't this too incompetent.

Why does FJ have a video of Cesar and Yvonne? Did they have a thing ?

That map Cesar found was weird. It looked like there was a line drawn through California with a small photo of Cesar at the end . What?????

More and more men seem to be connected to DAMA....Pasqual. Tomas. Why would Tomas go to the gyno with DAMA? He gives me the creeps. I guess he has been living his whole life in the big shadows of his brother and dad .

Abuela (?)Rocia is another gumchewer.....and a hairtwirler.


Whose photo was Pasqual looking at and what did he say to it? I am hoping Big Ed is not playing a bad guy.

The actors playing FJ and Cesar seem to be giving their all to the kissing scenes. Very realistic and enthusiastic.

#11 – Parte 1 de 2

Francisco and César face off in Francisco’s apartment. César tells FJ that he (FJ) snooped through HIS house first, so now they’re even. César says that FJ killed Adriana because she wouldn’t run away with him. FJ puts down the gun and then César grabs it. But FJ sort of convinces César he’s telling the truth by pulling the gun toward his own forehead and saying to shoot because his life is meaningless without her.

Rocío has come to see Noelia. Elvira is nervous about having her there. Rocío is very affectionate with Noelia. But she tells the child she hasn’t seen her mother because she passed away. Elvira objects that this hasn’t been proven. Rocío asks Noelia to forgive her mother for not being a good mother. And it was because of being raised in an orphanage without parents.

Alejandra leaves the rest of the Del Rios after FJ has left her there. She’s not happy.

We see a flashback of FJ and DAMA on the beach. She tells him she would like to sail away on a boat toward the horizon. Then, in the present FJ tells César that he knew she was hiding something dark, and that’s why he followed her. With shining eyes, he tells César that he knew her as Mariana, as Adriana, and as Diana. And he was crazy about her. When César bitterly says they were going to leave his daughter, FJ tells him quite sincerely that he didn’t know about Noelia. César punches him anyway.

César tells FJ that he needs to investigate his mother Renata.

Pascual and Renata talk about their suspicions that Camila is getting involved with César.

Tomás is completely drunk, and it takes both Pascual and Chuy to get him into bed. He babbles something about Pascual about to become a grandfather.

Camila shows up at FJ’s apartment. FJ tells him that he was with Mariana’s husband.

[Poor Chuy. Either the Del Rios pay him such a poor salary that he can’t afford shirts, or the director of the telenovela has ordered him into tank tops ALL THE TIME to show off that body.]

Elvira calls César to tell him about Rocío’s visit and that she said Adriana grew up in an orphanage. Then there’s a quick scene change to Camila telling FJ a variation on this: that Mariana was in an orphanage, but a rich Miami family adopted her.

#11 – Parte 2 de 2

We see Renata picking up a phone. FJ is on the line. DAMA comes up behind Renata asking her what she’s doing there and to get out. Renata pulls a gun; there’s a shot. And then we see FJ waking up from the nightmare where this happened.

Cami tells César at Casa Del Rio that Mariana’s husband came to see Francisco. And she also tells him that Mariana was pregnant. ¡Cara Impactada de César!

Pascual talks with Camila about César. He’s being very kind. He does warn her about the wrath of Renata should she be involved with César. And that their very different social circles could be a problem. But he goes on to say that love makes it all worth while.

César comes to confront Yvonne where she works about the video Francisco had. How else did FJ get that video of the night Yvonne got him drunk and tried to seduce him, if she didn’t give it to him? She admits it. Then she says that FJ came to see her suggesting that they work together to separate César and DAMA. FJ wanted to show DAMA an incriminating video so she’d think César didn’t really love her. That way she’d go away with him.

Barros and Márquez are interviewing Rocío, who says again that DAMA is not her child. Márquez threatens her with a DNA test. [I assume to match with Noelia to prove the relationship.]

Inés lies to Cami about the visit to the gynecologist because Tomás is giving her puppy dog eyes behind Cami’s back. She says she didn’t find anything out at the gynecologist’s office.

FJ and César talk on the phone. César tells him about finding Renata’s business card in his truck. Also, she was the last person Adriana talked with before she disappeared. He also mentions the bikini. He says that he knows that Renata had one Eva lie for her. FJ remembers that scene where Eva tells him the bikini at Casa Del Rio was hers.

César bursts in on the meeting with Rocío in Barros' office, asking if Adriana was pregnant; and, if so, whose baby it was. Barros isn’t quite as livid as I expected. It’s because he wants to know also. Rocío says she didn’t know one way or the other.

Tomás thanks Inés for lying. But she’s not happy she did it and is cold toward him.

Chuy tells Alejandra the classic other man tale: he doesn’t deserve you. Chuy seems smitten. He says that FJ is like his brother, but he hates the way he treats Alejandra.

Pascual, looking serious as can be, tells Eva he wants to kill Renata. He wants to free his children from her. And he wants them to be happy together. Eva is shocked.

César tells Barros he can help him move his career forward. Gumchew perks up his ears. César plays a recording of Yvonne saying that Francisco wanted to have that video of César and Yvonne together to show Mariana. César goes on to say that Francisco killed her because she didn’t want to go away with him.

*Flashbacks of Colon scolding Corina are seen.

*Karla & Castillo both had to take Colon out of Corina's hospital room in order to calm him down.

*Over at Los Pinos: DEA Boss is lectured about sovereignty by Alfaro & President Gomez Labrador.

*Flashbacks of Aurelio getting his freak on with Corina, Crazy Tracy, Sexy Afro-Venezuelan Chick.

*Mecha collapses in front of Aurelio. Sooner or later, he'll find out she's preggers.

*Crazy Tracy & her Lackey concoct a scheme in getting rid of Corina at the hospital because if Corina wakes up.....CRAZY Tracy's law enforcement career is over!

*Karla is so distracted that she doesn't see Tracy's Lackey lurking with deadly methods of killing Corina.

Many things happened!

I don't really have much time, so only a few thoughts:

1) I also don't think Tomás is the father. Maybe he knew, maybe he didn't.
2) I'll go ahead and make a Crockpot theory: DAMA isn't dead and Rocio knows it and that's why she's denying that she's her mother.
3) FJ knowing about DAMA being Mariana AND Adriana AND Diana and liking it? WTF?

Terrific recap novelera! Thank you! I am really enjoying the twists and turns of this TN.
At least we found out why that video of Yvonne and Cesar ended up on FJ’s computer. Clearly, FJ was the only person who knew at least MAD, we don’t know if he ever met Ana. My question is, he knew all these personalities and he still was okay planning to run away with her? We might have to add a “B” to her acronym name, for Bruja.

Glad Cesar put the trail back on Renata. I know she looks like the most likely suspect, but she needs to get knocked down a peg or two.

Wow, Pasqual may also have two personalities. He was so kind with Cami and now wants to kill Renata with Eva’s help.

Alejandra needs to just cut bait and run. I don’t know if I should feel sorry for Tomas or not. I hope Ines stays firm in the boundaries she set with him.

Thanks very much, novelera, for this excellent recap. I'm still not sure what happened to DAMA, whether she's still alive, and if not, who killed her (including the possibility that she committed suicide). However, we're only on epiosde 11, I think. It's not clear how this will manage to keep us guessing/interested for 80 episodes. I'm hoping the writers have some surprises to offer.

I was interested by Big Ed's on the one hand seeming to see César's social class as a serious impediment but then offering up his own marriage to Renata as evidence that love, not social class, is what's important. "I'm married to Renata, who has this very important company. Do I look happy?" he asks.

I was surprised by César's continuing at the end of the episode to insist to GumChew that FJ killed DAMA. Earlier in the episode, César seemed finally to believe FJ's insistence that he's innocent, that he was obsessed with DAMA/MAD but did not kill her. César then said, well, if you didn't kill her, Renata did. In a phone call he tells FJ about finding Renata's card in his car and the fact that Renata was the last person to talk to Mariana. Did learning that Adriana may have been pregnant make him focus again on FJ?

Though César may again be focusing on FJ as the killer, FJ seems now to believe that Renata is the killer. We see this first in the dream he has, and again at the very end of the episode, when he asks Camila to draw a picture of the bikini. She's puzzled. "I thought you were done with the bikini," she says. He replies, "Mamá killed Mariana." And with that, the episode ends. (This makes me suspect that Renata may NOT be the killer, but perhaps that's a suspicion the writers want us to have at this point.   ?????)

thanks so much novelera for putting together a very nice recap, as this novela goes along there seem to be more and more twists that need to be unraveled, and old ones seen from a new light.

I can see where the excitement Mariana brings to the table got FJ's motor running, and how talking about his total infatuation with her drives Cesar crazy.

so the bikini comes back to life, where did that go?

I'm thinking Adriana faking being pregnant would be the perfect ploy to totally throw closet Tomas at her feet.

Camila is such a kitten always ready to snuggle.

I was going with FJ did not know about Cesar until Pluto showed him his driver's license with address and he went there, but the map he has, the video of Yvonne/Cesar, etc. which happened before Adriana's disappearance was all earlier, right?

GumChew to Rocio, "want some gum?"

Renata is very good at pegging where everyone is at.

Howdy from the Alamo City folks. Here's my recap of tonight's episode & it's a brief recap because I wasn't able to watch half of it.

*Karla figured out the so-called "nursing assistant" has weird boots & runs after him when he bails from Corina's hospital room.

*Crazy Tracy making sure Corina doesn't wake up or remember while Colon & Co., are distracted.

*Ishmael & Co., meet up with Tata.

*SuperJavi & Ritula go right back into arguing AGAIN LOL.

*Isturiz with his big telescope watch Psycho Jaime & Berenice. Seems like Psycho Jaime is determined NOT to leave Gullible Berenice leave him because he's campaigning for the Presidency in 2024.

*Isabella Castillo (Diana Amuhada) has one beautiful naked body. She's freaking HOT 😚

#12 Part 1 of 2

Cami tells FJ that her mother is a lot of things but certainly not a murderer. FJ gives Cami the rundown of the bikini story and how Renata knew Mariana was dead even before the police completed the DNA on the blood found on the top. FJ says that Renata will do anything to protect her company. Cami remembers the bikini bottom she found in her unmentionable drawer. She says, “Do you think Momma found out Mariana was pregnant?” “What?” says FJ. Like Cesar, he is very impacted by this latest revelation.

At police HQ, Cesar continues to try and convince the gum chewer with the evidence he found in FJ’s apartment that Adriana was killed by one of the Del Rio. He tells Elvis that he could be the headliner in the newspaper for arresting the millionaire killer, Renata. Cesar then begs him to consider him innocent and let him go home to celebrate Noelia’s birthday.

Pasqual chases Eva as she leaves his office. In the office foyer, he tells Eva that Renata needs to go. She has no idea what Renata is doing to his children. Eva tells him not to involve her in this ridiculous plan. Renata comes up from behind and scolds them both for not maintaining appearances as they all had agreed. She gives Eva a withering look and walks away. Eva gives Pasqual a similar look and walks away.

At the foundation, FJ demands that Ines tell him what happened at the gynecological clinic. Cami defends Ines saying she is the one speculating that Mariana might have been pregnant. Tomas listens nervously from the adjoining room and then comes to tell his brother not to bother Ines anymore. FJ should investigate on his own. FJ is upset that Mariana could have died carrying his child. He leaves the office in a huff.

Cesar talks to Rocio. She tells him that Adriana never mentioned a pregnancy to her. Cesar wants her to stay away from his family, especially Noelia. He gets a call from FJ who wants to meet in person.

Cami shows up in Eva’s office and asks her to describe the bikini bottom she left at the Del Rio casa. Eva cannot provide a solid description. Cami tells her she hopes her mother is paying Eva a fortune for telling this lie because this lie is hurting her family. Renata interrupts, asking why Cami didn’t stop by her office to say hello. Cami tells her mother that she left her “hellos” with Eva and leaves. (I am sure her cheek is still stinging from that motherly slap from the night before). Eva tells Renata that Cami came to ask about a bikini that she had no idea how to identify.

At the foundation, Tomas tells Ines that he met Mariana much sooner than everyone else ever did. They were just friends, nothing more. Tomas sort of confesses to Ines that he can never have a relationship with a woman. Later, we see a flashback to a bar where Tomas and Mariana first met. She felt comfortable with him because he was not putting the moves on her. (Please fill in the details here as I am pressed for time).

FJ is at the bank and runs into the bank president. FJ convinces him to share recent banking transfers without calling his mother. We discover that Renata transferred one million dollars to Adriana Molino, three weeks earlier.

Cesar waits for Noelia after school. She is okay but sad about Rocio saying her mom was dead. Noelia thinks that if her mom were really gone, she would feel a hole in her heart. They hug.

Rocio comes back to Cesar’s house to apologize to Noelia. She gives her a picture of Adriana when she was about Noelia’s age. Rocio shares a little bit more about Adriana’s sad childhood in the orphanage with few toys or friends. Her only friend was a boy nicknamed “Dirty Face.” Noelia tells her not to be sad, she knows that her mom is alive.

Episode #12 part 2 of 2
Renata calls Tomas and demands he come to her office immediately. When he arrives, he is disappointed to learn his mother only wants him to spy on Cesar and get every piece of information on him or else. Like Mariana Molino, Cesar is causing too many problems and she wants to erase him. Renata tells Tomas that this is his chance to redeem himself.

Eva comes to Pasqual’s office to gossip about why both Camila and Tomas have come to the company. He is in a dreamlike state, obsessed with thinking about killing Renata. Eva tries to talk him off the ledged (he looks a bit cray, cray). He tells her to think about it. If done right, she and he could become the owners of Jetsky, Skyline.

Cesar and FJ meet in a coffee shop and lament about how MAD fooled them both. FJ is sad thinking that she could have died carrying is child. Bitterly, Cesar laughs saying that the child could have been his as well. Cesar ends up winning that pity party conversation because he has a daughter to think of. One way or another, he will find Adriana’s killer.

Back at casa Del Rio, Cami is crying in her room. Cesar knocks on the door. She is glad to see him. They hug. She feels safe and protected in his arms. The hugging ends when FJ comes to the door. Cesar hides in the closet (again). He overhears FJ telling Cami that Renata deposited one million dollars into an account for Adriana Molina.

It is ring around the rooms again as Cami and FJ go to confront Renata with this latest news and Cesar tries to avoid being caught by Olga. Cesar ends up in Tomas’s room. After some cat and mouse with Olga, Cesar finds a box that a necklace that has an “A” on it. Cesar remembers seeing that necklace on Adriana and her saying she would never take it off, even if she were dead.

Eva is in Renata’s office, drinking her whiskey and sitting feet up on the desk. She thinks about what Pasqual told her. All this could be hers.

FJ and Cami end up confronting Renata. She confesses that she did indeed give Mariana that million dollars to get her out of all their lives and she accepted. Renata claims that DAMA is not dead, just gone, as the episode ends.

VVS...thank you for that excellent recap that explained everything to me ! This show is an effective escape for reality . ....fictional evil and turmoil.

Hmmm...if Rocio is telling the truth about DAMA being raised in an orphanage , could her only friend " Dirty Face " turn out to be Gumchewing Elvis ?


FJ continues to strike me as one of those guys who knows just how guaypo he is with ever eyebrow lift and smirk .

Tomas is a little sneak . I don't trust him .

The Senator seems to have a lot of free time on her hands.

Chuy.....well...in his offtime he was wearing a sleeveless vest????? Okay.

Is Pasqual really thinking of actually killing overbearing , bossy pants Renata? I think her voice is deeper than his . Cinthia knows how to play a villain . She did a great job of it on " Mujere De Nadie "recently on Univision.

Regarding Chuy, I went back and saw in the flashback from Tomas that Chuy was one of the guys drinking at the bar. He was wearing a black jacket with full sleaves!

I am finding this TN to be a good escape as well.

the captions are sometimes flying by so you filled in some holes for me.

interesting that Cesar's current strategy is to deflect suspicion off himself so that he can go back home to Noelia.

when Cesar put out that the pregnancy might be from him, did FJ ask is he was having sex with her, duh, I'm not seeing these guys ever being best buddies.

no sooner does Cesar tell Rocio to never return to his home, she shows up on the doorstep.

Cami seems to be using the name Adriana interchangeably but doesn't seem to make the connection as to who Adriana is, wife with daughter, etc.

everybody is getting out their erasers.

I was thinking Dirty Face would show up later, but then again as an old "Perry Mason" fan, you could never peg the killer early on, even though it was someone floating around in the story.

a million bucks ???, these truly are inflationary times.

Thanks very much, VVS, for another excellent recap. I really have very little to add.
Indeed, my thoughts are still questions more than answers.

I was a little surprised that Tomás is reluctant to admit that he's gay. Perhaps it's just that I live in California and it's 2023. Almost no one here seems to blink at someone's being gay. Tomás's mother already knows, and perhaps others do as well. Moreover,Tomás's saying to Ines "I can't fall in love with a woman" seems pretty much to acknowledge that he's gay. I would have thought she'd recognize that.

I do wonder why Tomás has Adriana's necklace in his drawer, a necklace she said she'd never take off. Even if by some chance he gave it to her, why/how would he have it now?

Though Adriana may have more than one identity, she seems not to be the only one. Pascual had seemed like a pretty likeable guy (though I'm glad I'm not married to him, given his longtime philandering), but in the last episode or two he is shown to be seriously wanting/planning to murder Renata. This seemed so out of character (as was the scary look on his face when he proposed this) that it almost seemed as if a different person was inhabiting his body.

Well, it will be interesting to see what tonight's episode brings. Again, many thanks!

I am glad that we have some intelligent , good guys who are willing to stand up to arrogant, controlling bully Armando. Jorge knows how to bring the evil. I was surprised he paid Olivia since she didn't get the job done.

Andres hasn't had much screen time . Gerardo and Hector are currently assuming the roles of galans.


Aurora is spoiled and entitled , but she did look pretty with her hair styled for the wedding.
