AMOR INVENCIBLE #12 Part 1

It’s Now or Never…Some Highlights of What Was Seen but Little as to What Was Heard

For all that transpired, much is still shrouded in mystery and misinterpretation. I missed most of the dialog so please add what I missed or did not understand correctly.

We relive the car speeding down the road, swerving out of control. AnaJu and Benja scream in the back seat as a light as bright as the sun shines into the window next to him. The impact is immediate and devastating as we next see the car upside down as smoke and fumes billow in the night air. We see AnaJu in the back seat, blood streaming down her face. Leona feels a sharp pain in her chest as Consuelo comforts her, along with the entire family. She is enveloped in love and a supportive hug. Consuelo promises her she will help her find her children!

The police and medics are on the scene; we see lights flashing as the victims are put on stretchers. At home, Jacinta and Clara are looking at pictures, feeling guilty about keeping the truth to themselves. Lola wearing her new, short metallic threaded dress struts by. They question her about the outfit as she flashes the fake price tag. Jacinta tells her not to speak to her that way.

Ramses, Gael, Columba and Calixto are discussing business but grow quiet when Camila comes up. Gael gets a call about the accident and the family follow him as he rushes out. David is there as well and grabs his phone, calling Leona, adding the accident was very bad. No, no, no she states in horror and disbelief. What hospital? We see Kika, AnaJu and Benja wheeled down the hospital corridor.

Gael and family show up at the hospital and when Leona shows up saying she would like to help but Columba goes after her. Gael says this is a difficult time for my family but undaunted, Leona goes over to Camila to offer comfort. Jacinta and her mother show up and Gael greets them civilly. Ramses starts in on Gael for allowing Kika to go out as she was being punished but Josefa pulls him back. David hugs his mother and sister. Leona, alone, hugs the wall.

A candle is lit as Consuelo and family prays. Lola tells her father about the accident.

We learn both girls need blood transfusions and there are internal and head injuries. Gael has the same blood type as AnaJu but Leona has the same blood type as Kika. She will gladly donate. Gael smiles and thanks her through his tears.

Leona (in her tooled leather cowboy boots) and Gael sit side by side as they give blood. He laments that he lost a son a long time ago.

Jacinta and David are at Benja’s beside. We flash back to them saving his life so many years ago. I love you Jacinta tells him and David sobs words of encouragement. Jacinta dissolves into tears with her head on Benja’s arm.

Sparring continues within Ramses’ family.

AMOR INVENCIBLE #12 Part 2

Gael is gowned and standing between Kika and Ana Ju, tears streaming down his face. He pours his heart out to them, apologizing for not taking enough care of them, life will give them another chance. They are sisters and need to fight to get better! Leona comes up quietly and overcome with emotion hides behind the curtain. It is Kika she stares longingly at, gently stroking her head telling her she is her mother. Gael comes upon her silently looking confused. They put their arms on each other supportively.

At Benja’s bedside, David warns that his injuries may have lasting implications. Clara realizes how much Leona is suffering and now, Jacinta wants to tell Leona he is her son.

At Consuelo’s Itzel frets about her mother possibly having cancer..

Jacinta and Leona meet up in the hospital. Leona takes her hand as Jacinta says she wants to tell Leona something. Tell me she smiles sweetly. But Jacinta’s resolve fails her as she simply asks if she can have a hug! Leona agrees and envelops her in a huge hug.

Ramses’ family has no positive news. There are many secrets Ramses says. Camila worries their injuries may mirror hers, Ramses tries to tell her that won’t happen.

Jeremias tries to talk Lola to use her beauty to get them out of the “hell” they are living in. They seem to pinky swear on this. Ack.

Ramses shows up and Jacinta quickly hightails it out of there. He sarcastically tells Leona what a guardian angel she is and tells her to take care of Oliver.

Remembering the accident, AnaJu starts hyperventilating. The nurse comes in and rings the bell. She goes into cardiac arrest and the doctor uses the defibrillator and brings her back to life.

David and Leona are at Benja’s bedside. And you, how are you David asks. She tells him that Gael admitted he lost a son. Perhaps he was given up for adoption and they know where he is!! Oh David…This is your chance; likely your very last chance - tell her, tell her! It’s now or never. Ana Julia is stroking his face as Benja wakes up. Leona looks at him hopefully. “Mama” Benja manages to get out, eyes closed. There doesn’t seem to be a flicker of recognition.

I'll comment later; currently working in a theory about blood types, Kika and AnaJu. There's a slight chance this accident just proved that Kika isn't Gael's daughter. I'll be back with the results.

Thanks, Diana, for your very fine recap. I was so very disappointed in Jacinta when she did not follow through and in David for not holding her feet to the fire about it. Loved you noticing Leona’s very fine boots! ; ) Yes, Jeremías was beyond disgusting suggesting that Lola use her beauty and youth to support them. Guess he could be her pimp.

“La llamada de la sangre” “the call of the blood” was actually mentioned as such. That always makes me smile.

Gael openly complains to his father that he forced him and his sister (in front of Calixto and Columba) to marry people they did not love.

Ramsés and his family openly bully the medical personnel at the hospital and have a hard time accepting that the girls are as seriously injured as they are and it is best that they not see them when they are trying to save their lives. .

The despicable duo Calixto and Ramsés are already having dreams of revenge on the teenager who was driving the car Dan Saenz and his family.

Jeremías starts to plant questions in Lola’s head about Benja and Kika and who they are. He says there are secrets in the family and when he starts telling them, she will be the first to know.

Ramsés orders Leona to go back to the house and take care of Oliver. She goes to see the girls instead.

Gael starts seeing the accident as divine retribution for all of the bad things he and his father have done.

I don't get why Ramses was being so sarcastic. Unless he is suspecting her of something. I sure hope there will be an explanation as to why Josefa married Ramses. But then I remember expecting something in the last vencer and not getting it so I won't keep my hopes up.
Leona jumps to conclusions way too quickly.
Geremias doesn't love even his own daughter. To be honest, I'm getting tired of reading about and watching horrible men and fathers. At least Gael will try to be better so that's something.

Thank you Jarifa! I so appreciate all you added, especially "Gael starts seeing the accident as divine retribution for all of the bad things he and his father have done". I really feel for him, seemingly doomed from the start.

I am more sympathetic toward Jacinta for not quite being able to tell Leona the truth. However, with the current tragic situation concerning the children, David has now boxed himself into a corner.

And yes, snarling and threatening the poor staff, especially the poor nurse was terrible!

It's been fun getting the highlights (well at least some of them) up the past few days. This TN is so well acted and the storylines so riveting, they just pull you in...

I am planning on continuing to do highlights at least once a week, likely on Monday nights. I may try and do another minicap during the week from time to time, but it will depend. Right now I need to focus on health and getting more rest and sleep so ...

I will continue to make comments and I always look forward to what everyone has to say.

Diana, thank you so much for the recap of this sad episode. So much terror as those teens lie unconscious and the families are helpless and wait and worry.

I still think that Kika is not Gael's daughter after her telling him that he seemed close to Oliver but not her. Colamba would not think twice about trapping Gael into marriage by claiming she was pregnant with his baby .

That scene of Gael standing between the two girls' beds really got to me , and it seems his words got to Leona as well. She is beginning to see that Gael has also been suffering these last fifteen years. When she stood next to him Between the two girls , they only touched each other's shoulders , but it was a very telling touch. I am starting to see more chemistry between Leona and Gael than Leona and David even though I think David is supposed to be the galan of this show .

Jer is despicable . Is Lola younger or older than Ben ?


OT...Daniel Elbittar is on YouTube and Tik Tok. He is very different from the characters he plays , especially the terrible villain he played in Herencia. He is multi talented .... sings, plays the guitar, dances, and has a very crazy sense of humor . He seems to interact a lot with the cast, especially the kids, and puts behind the scenes videos online . I am impressed by this guy .

Yes, Columba wouldn't have thought twice about deceiving Gael...He does love his children! I will have to look him up on YouTube. I believe he and his wife welcomed their second child fairly recently. Looks, charm, personalty, nice guy, he seems to be the entire package.

I am not sure how old any of the kids are to be honest, but it's so sad that Lola, hardly the vamp she pretends to be, is walking into a nightmare. Encouraged by her odious father.

waterlily, there certainly has been an overabundance of toxic fathers in recent TNs. One seems worse than the next although it will be very hard to "top" Ramses! :(

Jarifa, we knew that Ramses forced Gael to marry Columba, but we didn't know about Camila being forced to marry Cal-louse. I wonder how Ramses managed to force his children to marry persons whom they did not love...and why Josefa allowed it. With Gael, we know that Ramses probably used Columba's pregnancy, but with Camila??? I doubt this will ever be revealed.

Weirdo, I had the same thought about the blood types since no one else in the Blacktower family had Kika's blood type. I'll be awaiting the results of your research.

Waterlily, "I'm getting tired of reading about and watching horrible men and fathers" Me too! And Diana is so right! "One seems worse than the next although it will be very hard to "top" Ramses!" All the extreme toxicity is getting to me...a real turn off!

Diana, yes, Ramses might just top the list of despicable fathers . Can't u is always amazing .

I was thinking about the title chosen for this show and wondering which invincible love it was referring to. I was also thinking about the way Gael ran away from teen Mar when she told him she was pregnant. The Sheer panic of a teen getting this news is understandable, but for a teenage boy with a demon as a father it must have been terrifying . We saw Ram crushing Gael's hand . On the other hand, we have Adrian\Gael who was so smitten with Mar and saved her and her babies as a teen . He is still in love with her , but he doesn't tell her that Ben is her son . If he is so in love with her , how can he not tell her that her son is alive and very near her.

This tale is fascinating ,and the actors are superb. I look forward to seeing each episode as the writers spin out this story. Who is the galan of this story? David is so good hearted , while Gael has lived a tortured life . He is a tragic soul trying to be a good father to Kika and Oliver while the shadows of Ram and Calamba are constantly looming over him.

Lola is getting worse and worse. Her actual name (Dolores=Pains) suits her very well. She really is a pain in the butt. And that scene with Jeremías was just WTF worthy.

Okay, now on to the results of my theory:

So, basically, I wanted to check if I could prove that Gael wasn't Kika's father based on the information we have from the episode and the things I know from blood types.

So, a person's blood type is determined by their parents's blood type. Each person has two alleles that determine their blood type.

I sat down and tried every single possibility about their blood types. It took A LOT of time. Unfortunately, there IS a possibility that Gael is Kika's father. For example, if Leona's blood type is A-, Gael's B+ and Columba's A+ (if her second allele is -) it's possible that AnaJu's could be B+ and Kika's A-. Damn it!

Oh well. If anyone's interested, none of the three adults can have the same blood type if Gael is really the father, none of the blood types (including the children's) can be AB+. And none of the parents' can be O-.

There's something that everyone gets wrong in these "blood type needed" scenarios. You don't have to have the same blood type with the other person to receive blood from them. For example, a person with AB+ type blood can receive blood from everyone and a person with O- blood can give blood to all types. No telenovela I have seen has gotten this correctly.

Diana, I am amazed at how you captured so much action and emotion in your recap. I do believe every character in the TN was in last night's episode, so that's a mean feat. Yes, prioritize your health above all. You give so much, but R&R is important. I'm sending good vibes too.

Jeremias is awful and needs to be kicked out of the family for good, but still I'm guessing his dream is that Lola snag a rich guy upon which he can freeload, not that she become a call girl for a pedophile. But I could be wrong.

Diana, super job. My comment got caught in the netherworld, but I want you to know how much I value your recaps and comments. You captured everything in a heavy episode last night with stellar storytelling. I too am sending good vibes and heartfelt support as you prioritize getting needed R&R.

As for “blood types” they are of little use in determining either paternity or maternity. Blood types can rule out certain cases if a male is the father . To determine paternity, you need a DNA paternity test. And I’d there is any doubt as to who the mother is, there is a different DNA test/procedure to determine maternity which is used in cases where there is doubt, e.g., adoption issues. But since this is a TN, anything seems to work. I think Gael is both the bio dad of Kiki and AnaLu. This is one strange family, run by the horrible Ramses. He is like a Pharaoh: what I say, let it be written.

Part 1 of 5

Elsa left the cell block and hugged Estela, still not quite believing that Andres is locked up in that place. Both cried as Elsa described what it was like to tell him that Eva was dead; he had so looked forward to becoming a father.

Andres cried the worst of his tears as he returned to his cell asking “Why? Why?”

Guillermina sat at her desk thinking of Armando's threat. She cried her crocodile tears and flexed her hands. [She still looks like Miss Gulch.]

Oliver conveyed his condolences to Andres at the news. Andres thanked him; nothing else needed to be said.

A woman ran into the padre's study to get him.

Elsa and Estela came home to find Flor tidying the living room. Elsa went up to her room as Estela explained to Flor where they had been. She began thinking about what to do that would help get Andres out of the prison.

Padre Reynaldo found Guillermina on the floor of her office clutching her left shoulder. She cried out quietly that she thought she was having a heart attack. He told the other woman to call an ambulance. The EMTs were there faster than Guillermina ever deserved.

Elsa laid on her bed crying as Flor entered her room. She told Flor how sad she was at seeing Andres in prison and how much worse that got when she told him about Eva. Flor tried to tell her that This Too Shall Pass and things will get better and Elsa thanked her for caring.

Antonia was Andres' next visitor. He was still crying and asking the same question. Antonia cried with him and stroked his hair.

Gerardo and Elena talked over coffee at the dining table. She had not imagined that this would happen and how much this affected her. Gerardo told her to try to be nice to Elsa despite that they don't get on well. She answered “I don't think she needs me or anyone. [and I couldn't get the rest, but it ended with something about importance]. Dr Sanchez then called Gerardo about an emergency: Guillermina. That stopped an otherwise inevitable tirade as Gerardo said he would see her later.

Antonia and Andres talked about Silvia and how this will affect her. Antonia told Andres to just cry as much as he wants because at times it's comforting. He did not agree, He said his life had gone to hell since setting foot in the Montero house. What life was there now when it would be eight years until he could leave the prison? Ever the optimist, Antonia told him not to say such things because something good would have to happen. Life could not be that cruel to them. He cried again, leaning over the table as she stroked his hair.

Estela had just finished telling Hector about all this. He was shocked. It all happened as it did because Armando wanted all this kept secret. Hector asked about Elsa ad Estela said she was on the edge and she needed a way to help her. That's why she came to him. She thought if Elsa could attend university and/or go to work somewhere other than her father's office that would help. She asked if Hector had a place for her in his (mayoral) office. He was ready to welcome Elsa because of her intelligence, efficiency, and values. Estela expressed her gratitude and Hector said she could always count on him.

Angela walked in on Aurora sewing something and the conversation became about Elsa. Aurora said Elsa was happy to be back home. Angela – who had spoken with Armando about Elsa – called Aurora out on lying about this. Aurora was fed up with Angela's interference and threw her out of her room.

Gerardo told Padre Reynaldo that Guillermina was stable; she had suffered an anxiety attack due to stress. He asked about medication but Dr Sanchez came before Gerardo could answer to tell him Guillermina wanted to see him. When he entered her room she thanked him for coming and for worrying about her. She blamed her stress on her (paying) job at the school; he pretended to believe her. She then asked him to tell Armando she wanted to see him. Although he looked like he didn't want to comply, he said he would.

Elena ran true to form at a child-free dinner that night. Elsa took dinner in her room and Elena asked “What other privileges does she have? She isn't sick.” Estela told her not to talk about her that way and to have a little consideration for what happened. Armando told Estela she would be of more help not coddling Elsa so much, as though it pleased her to worsen the sadness. Estela told him she couldn't believe he could say such a thing. What happened was no small thing and would take time. He asked about the doctor and she said “Well.” He answered that she had nothing to worry about. Possibly to avoid a parental argument – or being scolded for her callousness – Elena asked Gerardo about Guillermina. He answered that she was hospitalized for an anxiety attack. Elena commented that it didn't surprise her because Guillermina was a crazy old woman. Estela told her not to say such things if she didn't know what happened; Guillermina was a very lonely woman. Elena said that was no surprise because nobody cold endure her. Gerardo told her not to make fun of others, especially one that's sick [If only he knew how much.] Elena looked like she was going to brush this off, then Armando wanted to change the subject, and Estela looked at him out of the corner of her eye.

Antonia called Silvia to tell her the sad news. Her reaction was the same.

The maid was about to clear the table when Padre Reynaldo arrived to talk to Armando. He excused himself from the table and went to his study with the padre. Elena commented that every time the padre arrives at these hours it's with bad news for her father. Gerardo said that this is about something that affects Armando. Estela looked in the direction of the study.

Armando closed the door and got to the point. The padre told him that Guillermina wanted to see him. He asked why; he had nothing to do with her. The padre told him he could go or not, then took his leave.

Elsa sat up in her room, thinking of her baby. Estela entered her room to check up on her. Elsa had not wanted to deal with her father or Elena and Estela understood. She then talked about Elsa finding something to do and Elsa said she would like to attend university. Estela pointed out that the semester was advanced so she presented Hector's offer. She would be working with him for the community to help people. Elsa liked this idea. They hugged.

In a less-civilized part of Mexico another mother and daughter sat down to eat. Nora and Demencia argued again about Nora's desire to leave the area. She felt trapped in a life she didn't want. Demencia would not let her go. It appeared that she also over the years had intentionally not allowed Nora to study anything. “You don't need education to plant barley.” Nora considered this life hell and Demencia called her an ingrate, saying she should be grateful to have food and a roof.

Rosendo came to Andres' cell with another letter from his brother. [Shouldn't he be able to read it himself by now?]

Carlos had gotten busy and forgot to buy the concert tickets he had discussed with Aurora, who then called Elena with the bad news. Elena told her not to worry about it; there will be other opportunities. She ended the call politely and told Gerardo, then they prepared to go out to dinner.

Rosendo's brother was about to sell their property for a significant sum and Rosendo wasn't sure how he felt about that since what could he do with that money while in prison? If he were not in there he and his brother would run a business together. He asked Andres if he could trust his family. Andres told him he would absolutely trust his mother and his sister. They then talked about trusting Antonia with the money. Rosendo trusted Andres completely “more than my own shadow.” [Does anyone remember what he's in for?]

Antonia and Elsa talked about Andres and his sadness when Horacio arrived and invited Elsa to have huevos rancheros with him.

Armando was in no mood for nonsense when he entered Guillermina's room. She demanded his respect because of how he had recently treated her. [That's rich. We need a good laugh.] He told her off about what she said to Elsa. She told him she can't forget that they once lived together when he arrived in San Juan, nor did she forget his secret. How would he like it if his wife found out that his family members were alive and wretchedly poor? “They would think you're crazy. They all died –” “ – in a car accident, yes; that's what you told everyone. But you told me the truth because you trusted me, don't you remember?” “Are you blaming me for helping me when I arrived in San Juan?” “I was the only one who could help you when you were only a humble travel agent. That's when you told me your family barely had anything to eat, almost dropping dead. And I not only received you in my house but in my bed. More than once. If you are inclined to forget that, I will order you to remember it. So you can't treat me like garbage. You're stuck with me here for good or bad.” “I apologize for offending you,” he said with little sincerity. He almost turned to leave. “Now, what's important is that you recover.” He touched her face. “Don't worry about the bill; I will pay it.” He walked out. She sighed and even smiled.

Elsa finally ate something substantial. She thanked Horacio.

Aurora called Meche to ask her about Elsa, saying that according to her mother she was sad. Meche wouldn't tell her anything, telling her why she didn't seek out Elsa herself and clear things up. Aurora told her she was right and ended the call.

Elsa and Horacio talked about the frustrations of love in bad situations. Without mentioning her name or any other Horacio told her about his situation with Aurora. “You are not the only one with sad eyes in San Juan.”

Armando went back to his office and threw his keys on the desk. Angela came in and asked him what was wrong. He did not want to talk about it. She started coming on to him and Estela walked in,l catching her kissing him. She walked up to them, asking what this was all about. Angela quickly said “He's not feeling well and I don't know what to do.” Armando faked a blood pressure issue, saying that nothing happened. Estela played the concerned, loving wife to the hilt, taking a pill bottle out of her purse; she had just picked it up. She suggested staying around the office just in case, Armando said he would be alright, and Angela offered to look after him since she was already there [oh, yes, in a dress more suitable for a cocktail party]. Estela complimented the concern of her “best friend” and thanked her, then kissed Armando before leaving. Once in her car she vocalized her frustration with this, finally saying “You will pay.”

Horacio walked Elsa to the exit and gave her a chaste goodbye kiss.

A guard fetched Andres to the visiting room where Silvia waited for him. She was crying. He told her he had been crying since hearing about Eva. Life was unfair, what next? She talked about coming back to San Juan and he told her not to sacrifice her happiness for him. Once again he mentioned the eight-year sentence and that was not motivating him. He then changed the subject and asked how it was in Mexico City. She told him they had found a nice apartment.

The new commisario looked at Fuentes' photo and was confounded by his disappearance. She talked with Ramos about Fuentes, asking if he had enemies. “All police do, but nobody in particular,” he said. Nobody had asked about him either and he had no family in the vicinity.

Part 5 of 5

Estela visited the padre and told him what happened in Armando's office. She had almost lost it. She didn't get confrontational because she didn't want to add another problem to the situation. The other kids would not be able to handle this and every day faking her performance was getting more difficult. He encouraged her to be patient. She left feeling a bit calmer. As he closed the door behind her he prayed for forgiveness, also saying he did not believe be could remain silent for much longer. He knew he had been an accomplice.

Aurora went to the Quiroga house to see Elsa, saying that they had become distant and she wanted to fix that because they had been friends their entire lives and she missed her. She suggested they “Go back to zero, as though nothing had happened.” Elsa said “Perfect. If you want to be friends again, go to the police, tell them that you lied to send Andres to prison. That nothing you told them is true. Make them set him free.”

OKAY, we still don't know everything about Armando's caddish past but here is at a little progress. Is there at least some dinero going to whatever relatives he has wherever they are? That would be chickenfeed to him now. Did he change his name to get where he currently is?

Hector probably knows that those people are still alive. Were/are they abusive? If his parents were abusive I'd give him a pass if he turned his back on them for good. Just as Nora should turn her back on Demencia.

Kudos to Estela for a Tony Award winning performance at the office.

Guillermina deserves no respect at all. What she did to Elsa is probably only the tip of the iceberg called Buttinsky. It's been a quarter of a century.

Gerardo needs to get himself to a good divorce lawyer. Nothing is going to turn Elena into a feeling, empathetic person. That's a lost cause.

We have seen the love letter she clutched, her face mirroring her regret so I assume she was in love with someone else before Ramses. Perhaps she tried but Ramses' wish is law so...

I so appreciate your thoughts and well wishes. Struggling to understand the dialog is very difficult and frustrating but I look forward to commenting and highlights as I am able.

My thoughts on your who is the galan question is that it is murky right now. For all the reasons you astutely noted. David is a good, kind, caring man. But by not telling Leona the truth, David has faltered badly so doesn't deserve the mantle presently. Gael survived despite having the devil for a father. I've felt he was doomed at birth but I feel for his love for his children and his desire to do the best for them. It's interesting that we haven't seen if much about the human trafficking operation at the present time, but I fear as that is the family's (real) business, he is very much involved. I hope they don't forget that AnaJu was going to write a paper on the subject...

I can't fathom Armando, no matter how young he was, telling young Guillermina the truth about his family, despite the fact she said "But you told me the truth because you trusted me, don't you remember?”

I imagine Rosendo's reading is improving but still shaky. Interesting that Antonia, through Andres, will become involved in Rosendo's land deal. I hope this brings her some fun.

Aurora is an airhead, never giving a thought about anyone except herself. At her wedding, Elsa told her she was pregnant. How could she think Elsa was content, with Andres locked up for eight years?

Gerardo doesn't even touch Elena’s lips now. She knows he hates her lack of feeling for Elsa, but she just can't help being nasty. When is he going to do like Tammy Wynette and spell out D-I-V-O-R-C-E for her?

I got a kick out of Estella faking surprise, then helpfulness, with Armando.

Hector mentioned that Irene had left town. Too bad, I liked Irene and Estella still needs her. Such a shame the only one in town Estella can confide in now is Padre Reynaldo.

Well, we now know about what happened in the past between Guill and Armando .She, like Demencia, is a woman who is willing to help Armando . ugh . How soon before Armando elimiates that thorn in his side ?

Is Aurora going to get jealous when she discovers that Horacio took Elsa out to breakfast ? Elsa told Aurora off about lying about Andres. Yay, Elsa.

Andres is such a good soul. He helped his boss and won his support. Now, in prison, he again shows what a good person he is by helping a fellow prisoner learn to read. I wonder where this storyline is headed. Perhaps the prisoner whom he has been helping will name him in his will and Andres will inherit money because of his good deed.

I like the idea of Elsa working for Hector . I hope Hector steps up again as a protector for both Estela and Elsa .

It's embarrassing the way Angela is always climbing all over Armando. I don't think I have ever seen a more joyless villain . Armando never smiles .

P.s. interesting that Elsa chose another "e" name for the baby . in my family, several of the girls ' names start with the same letter. I guess we just like the sound of that letter !

Urban, even though every episode seems to descend into chaos and turmoil, you bravely soldier on to craft these incredible summaries. So, so well done!

Guillermina as “Miss Gulch” was absolutely perfect. Loved it. I laughed at “The EMTs were there faster than Guillermina ever deserved” which was great.

“Andres cried the worst of his tears” was impossible to bear. What hurt the most was seeing his jaw tighten bit by bit, watching all of the joy he had been holding onto dissipate.

So Armando’s family is still alive and he left them starving and destitute. A surprise? No, not really. But Guillermina is way out of her league, playing with fire for which she will certainly be scorched.

Leave it to Hector to provide a path for Elsa to heal while learning and enriching herself.

“You are not the only one with sad eyes in San Juan.” Oh please – really? Man, I do not like Horacio one little bit. I am completely dismayed he is spending time with Elsa and have a sinking sensation that nothing good is to come from this. Susanlynn, having Aurora find out they ate together and being jealous would be a bonus. Ack.

Niecie, so Irene is gone?? I’m so surprised, she is a much-needed confidante for Estela and will be deeply missed.

I cheered when Elsa stood up to Aurora who has no conscience and no heart. Her lies already have had far reaching and irreparable consequences.

Diana, yes, you got it. It would have helped if they mentioned at least one blood type. Based on my calculations, there are some cases in which Gael can be the father, but they are also many that he can't. No concrete answer here just from what we know. Unfortunately we have very few info:

Gael has the same blood type as AnaJu and can't donate to Kika.
Leona has the same blood type as Kika and can't donate to AnaJu.
Columba can't probably donate to either (at least not to Kika).

As Anon noted, blood types aren't the best way to find out about paternity/maternity. Leona thinking that Kika is her daughter just because of that wasn't exactly a smart thought. Testing exists. Also, AnaJu is the only blond in a family full of brunettes. Somebody has mentioned this before, it's a hint. Wake up Leona!

The baby sadness continues to be sad and so unnecessary. I picture all the people Armando’s lies about Eva hurt lining up for a firing squad against him.

So he left his family and told Estella, and everyone, that they’re dead. I don’t see him sending them money, I think he killed them off in his mind. So he lived with Guillermina. How does no one else know that. Guillermina doesn’t know what Armando is capable of. Not sure why she smiled, maybe because he’s going to pay her bill. Maybe she’ll start blackmailing him!

A great scene when Elsa agreed agreed to be friends if Aurora goes to the police with the truth.
Speaking of police, the new captain is definitely going to start looking into Fuentes’ disappearance. She’ll probably get to the bottom of it. But Fuentes was a fool to not leave a letter or something about the murder Armando committed.

Did they tell us Irene was going? I don’t think they did. I hope she’s lining things up to fire Armando. And that she didn’t go very far!

I wish I could wear that dress Angela had. I have the cleavage for it but not the height or the pretty face.

I read up yesterday about excommunication. What we saw in FELS and TdA is highly unusual these days. If Padre Reynaldo had done this to Guillermina years ago there would probably be no story now.

- Ramses wants to get even with the Kika's boyfriend for the accident. Calixto offers to do something(?) in response and Ramses nixes this as "stupid."

- Josefa overhears Columba arranging to meet a mystery person.

- Lola seems to have second thoughts and doesn't answer Calixto's phone call.

- Josefa is gracious to Jacinto as they both wait at the hospital.

Gael seems to hate Calumba more and more the longer Leona is around. I think that in his heart of hearts , he senses that Leona is his teen love Mar. He beams whenever Leon interacts kindly with his children .

Neither Leona nor Gael realizes that injured Benjamin is their son, but they are still concerned about him.

The triangle of David\Leona\Gael is lining up. It will be interesting to see when\if Gael realizes who David and Leona are.

Agree with everyone that Leona, is being very naive in thinking that Kika is her daughter. Has she not looked at AnaJu and noticed the resemblance? Anywho, seems Consuelo is the bright one who suggested that Leona get a DNA test done.

Ramses did indeed think that Cal is an imbecile (of course we KNOW he is). The doc told them that Dano is brain dead, so Ramsés ordered him to harvest as many body organs as he could. Cal already forged the parent’s signatures so that this could be done. Bottom line is that Ramsés made the decision to “disconnect “ Dano so his organs could be harvested. Parents are oblivious to this!

Elsa told Aurora that if she wanted them to be friends again she had to tell the police the truth and to free Andres. “Will you do it?” Aurora shook her head and said “No, I can't.” “Why not?” “Because if Andres is in prison it's because he's paying for what he did to me.” “What did he do? Attempted rape? For God's sake you and I both know he is incapable of such a thing. Why are you accusing him with this lie? Because you hate that he's your brother or to keep your mother out of prison?” “I don't believe this. I came with all good intentions to fix things and you hit me with this?” “Sorry, but I can't be the friend of someone so unjust and who is doing such harm to someone I love. If you want us to be friends again, you know what you must do.” Aurora picked up her purse and left without a word.

Dr Sanchez handed Guillermina a prescription for anti-depressants and told her she needed to see a shrink. He elaborated on that by telling her she needed to get to the bottom of her anxiety attacks. He attached the contact information for two mental health colleagues. He left the room so she could change, as she was being discharged. She ripped off the wristband and called Padre Reynaldo to ask him to pick her up, as she had no one else. He agreed.

Elsa met Silvia outside the prison. They briefly spoke of Andres' current state of despair. Elsa told her that she doesn't care what her father thinks or does but will never forgive him for isolating her on the ranch where Eva was born and died. When Silvia asked her how she was she told her that physically she was alright, but her soul was still in pain. She was working at recovering from the loss. Before leaving Silvia told her she could count on her if she needed help. As Silvia left Elsa took a deep breath before the guard let her inside.

Aurora went to Hector's office and stopped in her tracks as she saw Horacio at the desk with his laptop. Two seconds later she did an about face and he turned around and saw her before she got to the door. When he said her name she told him she was looking for Meche. He told her not to go. SSDD: His obsession with her continued.

Elsa and Andres talked about his parents and he told her that Lamberto had given him his name so he is now a Montero. Elsa was happy that he had forgiven his father and to see Andres smile again. She apologized for bringing him bad news on their previous visit and he told her she was not to blame; it was rotten luck that had plagued them. He said they should not give up. She handed him a book called “How Do You Take Care of a Broken Heart.” She explained how she discovered the book and he said she was unique in that when things get bad she finds solutions. They looked each other in the eye and kissed. [Who else had a sense of foreboding here?] The guard did not bother them.

Aurora and Horacio were about to kiss. She pulled back, saying she needed to go. He tried once more and she pulled back saying she had nothing to do there just as Hector came in, righteous anger heating up.

Elsa told Andres that her mother spoke to Hector about her working in his office and Andres thought this was a great idea. She had always wanted to feel useful and help people. He was helping his fellow inmates by teaching the illiterate ones to read and write. He was alright and had not made any enemies. Elsa was relieved as the only image she had of prison life was the horrors seen in movies. However, hope and faith were a bit difficult and both said they would continue no matter what it took. [Where is the padre when he is so desperately needed?]

Hector demanded answers but let go of his frustrations in anger. When Aurora said she had come there looking for Meche he refused to believe her. He was convinced that there was hanky panky going on. He called Aurora shameless and finally ordered her out of his office. Horacio as well. He then took out his phone and called Carlos to come into his office.

Outside the building Aurora thanked Horacio for defending her but he still considered her to be his. She said No once again and he seemed to have accepted it. They said Goodbye to each other. She started crying but did not look back.

Gerardo and Marco met in the corridor of the hospital and Marco told him he had released Guillermina and had recommended two shrinks for her. Both hoped she would get therapy [Lotsa luck, gentlemen].

Angela entered Armando's office and said she suspected that Estela was faking. He didn't believe her but she said that how else could she have walked in and almost caught them kissing and she didn't freak out. He said “She saw nothing,” then he laughed at the fussing until Angela asked “How could she remember everything else but not about catching us?” Armando thought about this, then quoted Leonidas' statements about partial memory loss. Angela said she could believe that but not about this particular thing, reminding him that Estela had broken her nose and was very angry and threatening in the hospital. Armando didn't think Estela was capable, saying she was too simple-minded and silly. Angela gave up then, made the gesture that her lips were sealed, and left his office. He paused as she left as though he had second thoughts about this.

Hector's sons came to his office and he told them he was making changes. Effective immediately he was assigning Horacio to the office and Carlos to the hotel. Neither understood this as Horacio was the one with all the good ideas for the hotel. Hector did not explain at this time, telling Horacio they would talk about it later. Horacio then knew the reason. When he tried to bring up the subject out in the main lobby Hector shut him down saying “You are to be as far as possible away from that woman.”

Gerardo went to Antonia's place with two concert tickets to the very concert that Carlos had forgotten about. Antonia reminded him that he was still married but he said he was in the process of settling things and somehow managed to persuade her to go. She went to her room to change.

Andres' lawyer called Lamberto with the bad news that the new judge had rejected the petition. She told him this was not the end of the road and she would do everything necessary. He thanked her, but looked unsure.

Elsa was waiting to see Hector, who was showing Horacio out. He told her to wait in his office. Horacio greeted her and upon hearing that she might be working there was pleased. He watched her go back to his father's office. Hector began with his condolences and she told him that she would like to work to have a distraction from her grief and to not lose her skills. He was sure she was up to the task and began explaining that she would be working with students. She would be looking for good students whose families were not earning enough to pay for their all their education expenses. He gave her the office previously occupied by her aunt and she could start the next day if she wanted. He said that her mother was a great person and she agreed, saying that her mother had been her strength through this tragedy.

A guard called Andres to the phone. Lamberto told him how sad he was to hear about baby Eva and regret that he couldn't accompany Silvia on her visit that day. Andres was alright. The bad news was (obviously) that the petition had been rejected. Andres then asked how much longer, saying he was looking at eight years. Lamberto said the lawyer said there were still things they could do and he was not to lose hope. Andres thanked him for calling and hung up before Lamberto could say more.

When Elsa came down to dinner that evening Elena made a sarcastic remark about her honoring them with her presence. “Don't start, Elena,” Elsa said as she took her seat. Sofie was glad Elsa came down to join them. Armando asked about Gerardo and Elena said he was at the hospital. Elsa then announced that she would be working beginning tomorrow. Armando asked where and was not pleased when she said it would be in the mayor's office with Hector. He said there was a place for her at the family business and therefore hers and that of her siblings. She she said she wanted to help people. She told him that the family business was his priority. Martin said something about the towers and Armando tried to say that the water problem is something else and that the job of politicians is to deceive people. Elsa said that drinkable water is of great importance and she wanted to help with that. Armando then changed the subject and asked the kids about school. Sofie talked about having to give a speech about her most admired person and she said that was her mother. She gave her reasons and Armando pretended to be pleased. Elena had a sarcastic expression that only Elsa seemed to notice [along with we flies on the wall].

Gerardo brought Antonia home from the concert, which she had thoroughly enjoyed. However – despite their pact – he did not stop himself from kissing her. Before she got too far into it she pulled back, saying she did not want to become the Other Woman. He backed off only so far as to kiss her hand before he got into his car. She went into her house and cried.

Armando and Estela had a disagreement over Elsa working for Hector. Estela said that the priority was getting Elsa out of depression and this working was the best solution. Armando's objection was specifically about Hector providing this opportunity. He demanded that Estela consult him on anything like this regarding his children. Estela pointed out that Elsa is now an adult so that matter is closed. All she did was talk to Hector about this, nothing else. She closed the conversation by saying she wanted to go to sleep, said Goodnight, and shut off the lamp on her nightstand.

Gerardo got home and Elena was awake using her tablet. She told him she waited up for him. She changed her tactic to Being Nice as she asked how things were at the hospital and then said she had a surprise: Tickets to a vacation in Los Cabos, the honeymoon they didn't have. He said he couldn't just take vacation time on a whim and she said that's why she reserved for a month and a half from that day, so he would have time to plan. He was less than enthusiastic when he asked if she thought this would fix their problems. She asked why he always brought up the same things. She then kept on in the fake enthusiasm and he finally consented to the trip. She half-hugged him and he freed himself to undress and take a shower.

Ten-Month Time Jump Here?*

On the morning of March 18th [¡QTH?] Elsa got up, dressed, and went to the office, Horacio told her he had the numbers ready so they went into his office to look at the ad campaign.

Andres had read to the end of the book Elsa had given him.

Aurora was looking for something she said was about “the new house”. She had Carlos look for something in the nightstand. She smiled as he opened the drawer to find an empty box from a home pregnancy test. He was fast on the uptake and realized that Aurora was pregnant. He was thrilled to pieces and she looked like she was as well. [Since they're still in Angela's house, what will she think? Enquiring minds and all that...]

Elena and Gerardo apparently were in Los Cabos and he told her that the tour was waiting downstairs. She got annoyed that they would be on a boat looking for whales, complaining “does it cost you that much to please me?” after three days of just hanging out in the sun, which she wanted to continue to do. She suggested he go alone and that they meet later. He agreed and left the hotel room while she was putting on her 3000 sunblock.

Lamberto's lawyer handed him a check which was compensation for a major loss from earlier in the tale.

Gerardo and Elena were in a restaurant. The waiter came to the table and Elena got bitchy about her order. The waiter told her that the recipe took its own time and she interrupted him yelling that she knew how long this should take and demanded to speak to the chef. Gerardo was embarrassed at this and said her name in a warning tone. She looked at him and said “Don't interfere; these people have to learn.” Gerardo apologized to the waiter and Elena yelled at him for that “because I am the offended party.” The waiter tried to apologize but Elena told him to go away and get the chef. When he was out of earshot Elena scolded Gerardo for apologizing to these “lesser people” instead of herself. [Reddit fans, take note: This is a Karen in the wild.]

Lamberto broke the good news to Silvia. It was enough money to start a new business in San Juan so they could be close to their children.

*Elsa's baby would have been born in mid-May.

Elsa visited Andres who was now reading a book called Sin Patrio. He and Elsa talked about how they related to the characters. He to the immigrant and she to the woman waiting for him I their home country. She had a major project to work on when she got back and said she would see him on Friday. They kissed and she left.

She and Horacio supervised a classroom of students taking an exam.

On September 19th ...

Elsa went off to work in a beautiful red dress.

Lamberto spoke to the lawyer who told him that a new judge was assigned to the case. She had a good feeling about this but told Lamberto not to tell Andres anything yet.

A policeman delivered the supoena to Aurora to appear for a psych eval [No, chica, you can't get out of this one].

Oliver tried to get Andres to play basketball but noticed that he had looked downcast for the previous few days. He told him that Elsa was the reason. She had not come to see him on her usual day and he began thinking he had become a hindrance to her life. He was thinking about the prisoner Rogelio who had talked about this before. Oliver acknowledged this. Andres said that it would probably be better if he ended the relationship. Despite how much he loved her he thought it would be better to set her free. Oliver said that spoke well of him although he did not want to be in his shoes. To do this is never easy. Andres said it will take all his courage because he could never love anyone as he loved her.

When Elsa came to see him next he did not touch her before sitting down to the table. She said “I know; no touching” and took her seat. She asked him how he was, he did not answer. She asked what was wrong and he said “It's over, Elsa.” “What is over?” “This. Our relationship. You have the right to know the truth.” “What truth are you talking about?” “I got close to you to take advantage of your money and Armando Quiroga's power.” “That can't be. You love me.” “I faked it. I did this all this time to get what I wanted. The truth is I never loved you. That's why I got Lamberto to gie me his name so your father would not oppose our getting married. But nothing worked out as I wanted. I gort arrested and if I get out of here at all your father would never consent to us getting married.” “Why are you saying all this?” “Don't be pathetic. Be grateful for the truth. Go away. I never want to see you again. I wasted too much time on you. Get out.” He slammed his fingers against the metal table and stood up as she stared in shock. Then he left just as the tears began to form in her eyes.

When he got to his cell his tears began to fall as he said “Forgive me.”

When Elsa got to the office she asked Horacio to hold her. She told him that Andres had ended their relationship. He had an expression of disbelief.

On November 17th...

Elsa and Horacio had dinner together and danced in the bar to a favorite song of hers. They had effectively been dating. She told him she felt like she was over Andres. Horacio said he thought she had been an “impossible love.” Then he proposed to her. She laughed, saying he was joking or was crazy. He said he wasn't. They got on well, etc. He rolled a napkin into a strip and tied it around her left ring finger. She smiled but said nothing.

Lowlight: Andrés having deluded himself that he is doing the noble thing by setting Elsa free. Really?

I must be psychic: Horacio glommed on to the next available female after Aurora told him it was a “no-go” from her. What a loser! Poor Elsa!

Urban, thank you for this marvelous recap of an episode I found truly dismal.

“This is a Karen in the wild” made me laugh out loud.

Elsa, trying to be stalwart and supportive despite her heartbreak in losing her child deserved far better from Andres. The love they shared should have been stronger than fear. While things are grave, Andres committed the most egregious sin, the loss of hope and of faith in love.

With Aurora being pregnant, we are left to wonder who the father is and the way this is going, it is likely Horacio.

My fears of yesterday were confirmed seeing Elsa and Horacio together. There is a certain look he gives Aurora that he also gave to Elsa last night. I assume it is of longing but it just looks awkward and untoward and makes me wince. I will leave it at that.

“Hector came in, righteous anger heating up” was perfect Urban. I can understand why he had his sons switch positions and it’s just too damn bad for Horacio.

“A TEN month time jump and Gerardo STILL hasn’t filed for divorce but has CHOSEN to continue to be embarrassed by Elena” mirrored my thoughts exactly Jarifa! And he should back off from Antonia until he follows up on his promise.

Armando seems to think his wife is a simpleton. I can’t wait for his downfall.

Andres was such a fool to lie like that. He should have just told her he didn’t want to tie her to him for 8 years. And Horacio proposing. Please don’t say yes. That was an awful turn of events. He didn’t mention love. I wonder if Armando will approve of him. And what if Aurora’s baby belongs to Horacio. Although I guess with the time span it won’t. But this almost guarantees that Andres will get out of prison. Talk about star crossed lovers!

I agree Jarifa, why is Geraldo still married to that shrew. I was embarrassed for them in the restaurant scene. At least they’ll be no children from that union.

Just a few hours until we get to watch what happens next!

Aw, Elsa and Andres were so cute starting their book club of two. But he got unsettled when she didn't show up for an expected visit and didn't call. He realized sticking with him was too much for her. He should've talked to her about it, but nope he comes up with the Big Lie to run her away.

Ugh, a marriage with stupid, annoying Horacio? Horacio is still obsessed with Aurora for some unknown reason and there's no way Elsa is over Andres.

Gerardo made me laugh with his disgusted look when Elena had the hissy fit with the waiter. Let's see, he's platonically dating Antonia and taking a belated honeymoon with the old battle axe. Not nice.

Yay, finally they're investigating Aurora.

Ah, the hump comes next week and we are still in the vale of tears. Love your comments! Here are my questions:

--- Gerardo bought a condo right after marrying his Karen and it needed some work (unlike the house being built from scratch for Aurora). Why are he and Elena still living in the Quiroga house, especially since Elena has no respect for her mother?

--- Aurora is pregnant. Since the event that caused that was during the time jump we have no evidence for or against there being a Paternity Issue. Hector will probably demand a paternity test. How long after the birth will that happen?

--- Aurora and Carlos are still living with Angela. How is Carlos not in the loony bin after ten months of that?

--- What did Aurora say during the new investigation?

--- Why has Andres not been visited by Padre Reynaldo?

--- Is Estela still faking it all or has she lost it completely by now?

--- Where is Irene?

As to why Gerardo is still married to that shrew I suspect that initiating the divorce will be very difficult because of the Suegro from Hell.

Wow....this wasn't well written . If Andres and Elsa were true soulmates, Elsa surely would have realized that he was just trying to free her because he expected to Be in jail for 8years. And then, even dumber , she agrees to marry weird, needy Horacio. Unbelievable . My beanie shot right off my head. Disappointing writing .

The agony of watching Gerardo put up with upright, out of sight Elena is pathetic. And Gerardo, shame on you for trying to court Antonia before you get rid of that albatross around your neck .

Urban, I believe Gerardo hasn't pushed Elena into moving as he likely doesn't want to be trapped in an apartment with her. She wants to stay and it's better for him to have family around so he can come and go, especially to Antonia's. Which is really bothering me. As Susanlynn said, "shame on you for trying to court Antonia before you get rid of that albatross around your neck".

Carlos' eyes are still closed to Aurora's true nature. He is in for a shock once all is revealed with her lies regarding Andres. Not to mention if and when he will find out about Aurora and Horacio. If he does, he might well request a DNA test then.

You're right about the not so good Padre not visiting Andres...

Irene's sudden and unexplained departure still rankles. I wonder if the actress had something come up? It makes no sense.

Good point about the condo. I don't think we ever saw any progress on it and it's been ages since it's even been mentioned. I have also been thinking that him being in the Quiroga house might prvent more of those tete a tetes between Elena and her father.

Although the Padre had nothing to do with Andres being in the slammer I think he might find difficulty facing him.

I also realized I didn't mention either of the other lunatics in the above post, but I think that Guillermina and Demencia will both die crazy.

Not to have her tell anyone let alone not say her goodbyes after the fact is puzzling.

Things are going so off the rails, I'm fully expecting Elsa will marry Horacio. And that napkin engagement ring was just pathetic. Sorry, I usually keep mum if a non-villain character annoys me but I just can't here. :(

AMOR INVENCIBLE #14 Part 1

Some Enchanted Evening – Highlights

We see a livid David searching for Jeremias, finding him in the market. David is livid he was putting the idea of secrets in Lola’s head. David puts him in a headlock and throws him down on a table.

Benja, sporting an ugly head gash, is recuperating at home talking with Jacinta. He wants to know what is going on and Jacinta admits she and Jeremias aren’t getting along.

David tells Jeremias he is banished from the house which Jacinta’s mother reinforces. David grabs him and tells him to stay away from the family and keep his mouth shut. Jeremias leaves muttering and threatening.

Calixto brings gifts to AnaJu and Kika. He tells them Dano has died and they are devastated.

In another, far removed idyllic scene, we see panoramic views of sunlit buildings and a beautiful beach at sunset in Puerto Palma where Consuelo and Leona go walking. Consuelo talks of romance and lo and behold David walks up dressed in a pristine white linen shirt. Leona looks lovely, her golden locks pulled back, cascading down her back. She has a smoky eye, makeup flawless. She wears a silky off the shoulder V neckline black, blue and taupe print dress and pearl drop earrings. David takes her arm and they walk along the sand. They walked the beach many years ago as children, when they were friends. Leona recalls her children were born there but also many things died there.
Gael arrives and tells AnaJu she is not alone. Kika stares at her from the other bed.

Meanwhile, under a gossamer canopy, a boat with a blue interior has been converted into a lovely, inviting dining area. There are pink flowers, lights gently illuminating the scene. There is food and wine. David looks incredibly handsome.

AMOR INVENCIBLE #14 Part 2

There are several additional scenes with Gael and the girls. Kika seemed to ask questions about when her mother and Camila were pregnant. I believe he encourages them to be happy and united as they are alive…

David and Leona continue their talk and Leona gently declares she is Leona, not Marena. Leona is ready to give love a chance. They toast and drink from champagne flutes.

Columba interrupts Oliver’s video games to cry and tell her son she loves him and will try and do better. His lip trembles after she leaves as the poor child doesn’t appear to believe her.

Josefa is having a special dinner prepared but Ramses tells her he needs to leave to take care of some negotiations. She asks questions stating I am your wife but Ramses is not inclined to answer. He kisses her hands and leaves, looking very guilty. We shall soon see why.

There is a scene with Dano’s doctor where he tells Calixto off saying he isn’t his boss; Ramses is.

Jacinta is preparing a nice family meal as Lola shows up with an attitude. Lola lies and says an incoming call is a friend from school but viewerville knows better as we see her phone showing Calixto’s face captioned “Ramses”. She does not answer.

Camila is tearfully reminiscing holding a box of baby clothes and how grateful she is AnaJu survived.

Dinner talk at Jacinta’s centers around David and Leona. Jacinta is clearly uncomfortable and struggling. Benja has always felt a connection with Leona and would like to have her as his tia!

Jeremias comes out and announces he is prepared to leave. Lola indignantly asks what the meaning of this is and he says Jacinta kicked him out. Lola starts in on hidden secrets.

AMOR INVENCIBLE #14 Part 3

As the girls sleep, Gael thinks of Leona; him hugging her, remembering their giving blood together. He sits down eyes wide, tears brimming.

Lola is disdainful and uncaring toward her mother and decides she is going with Jeremias.

Josefa sits alone at the empty table, recalling a conversation she had with someone and bows her head crying. If anyone can fill in what that was, kindly do so.

We see patent leather boots as Columba drops her coat revealing stockings and a plunging black negligee. There is a man with dark hair sitting in a chair with his back to us.

Lola is ready to leave and no pleas can deter her. She and Jeremias leave as Jacinta evaporates into tears.

Columba slinks up and kneels, her hands moving up the torso of…Ramses!! He admits she is Gael’s wife but she is his maximum fantasy. Then, he coldly tells her to leave as she kneels in tears, humiliated.

Gael is making himself as comfortable as he can in the girls’ hospital room. When AnaJu asks him if there was a time where he wished he could have helped someone in trouble, Gael remembers Ramses executing Marena’s family as he helplessly stood by screaming “no”. He tells her yes but he couldn’t help. She stares and tells him sometimes she feels he is her father as Calixto is so cold with her. He looks wistful, tears streaming down his face.

David is now carrying Leona as the sky is black as night, waves crashing on the beach. Leona asks for music as she and David dance on the sand, staring deeply into each other’s eyes. David talks about everything he would like to do with Leona…and he would like her to be his novia. Sweet, butterfly kisses are exchanged followed by deep, passionate kisses. As Leona wraps her arms lovingly around David’s neck, we fade to black.

I am ahead with watching this show so Ill try not to comment much. What I will say is that David and Leona provoke nothing in me, one of the blandest leading couples I've seen. Tbh I would like to see something between Camila and David but as David is the galan, I dont think this will happen.
I'd prefer Leona with Gael or alone with her children. I dont like how David has been obsessed with her all these years.. There is something about his 'true love' that doesnt seem sincere to me. But maybe thats just me and my dislike for the couple.
Columba and Ramses are icky but they do have good chemistry.

Josefa was thinking back on “Apolo”. The voice was that of Juan Soler who plays “Apolo” on the list of characters. We saw that name “Apolo” before at the bottom of an old letter she had evidently read over and over. He wanted her to leave it all and come with him. Was she going to give up true love by choosing Ramsés? It looks like Josefa has been having second, third, . . . thoughts about her choice lately.

As for Dolores, good riddance. Somebody should have slapped Jeremías out of his “pathetic loser” act.

Loved how Benja described the special connection he felt when he met Leona.

I can't be objective about Ramses. Could he ever have been considered charming? Ruthless, angry, yes. But kind and loving - I just don't see it. The most human we've ever seen him is with AnaJul.

Lola choosing to go with her odious father makes sense as she is clearly self centered and selfish. Good luck to her!

Lurker, I understand your comment about David's obsession with Leona all these years. I think his heart and intentions are pure which is why his pursuit of her hasn't really bothered me although he has been intense at times. I think Leona could go either way. Gael was her true love just as she was David's. I would also like to see Camila happy! I'm so glad you commented and hope you continue to do so, you added so much this morning.

Jarifa, I just love really beautifully done romantic scenes and when I saw the brief preview of last night, wanted to try and capture it. It did not disappoint!

Thank you so much for explaining Josefa's thoughts on Apolo. For a few brief moments, her stern exterior vanished and she became a vulnerable woman immersed in sorrow and regret. Yes, she certainly did seem to be questioning her decision.

Yes, Benja clearly feels something for Leona. This overlong delay in telling her the truth is going to make it so much harder when finally revealed.

Dear Diana, thank you thank you ! For filling in all the blanks for me as you painted a picture for us all to look at .

First of all, that title " Some Enchanted Evening" from " South Pacific" . perfecto. I remember thinking how romantic that scene looked when I watched that show on stage and the movie in tv later. That was a very romantic scene , and you captured it so well. David and Leona looked beautiful on that idyllic beach. David is so hopeful of realizing his teenage dream of having Mar .


Meanwhile......It was telling that everyone seems to have drifted back to their fractured lives , but Gael is still with the girls at the hospital , even sleeping on the tiny pillowstrewn sofa. I am not counting slimy Cal who quickly drops off gifts for the girls before going to harass the doctor. Gael is a tortured soul.

The actor playing Cal has a different look from the villainous character he played in the last show I saw him in with Rulli as the lead .In that one ,the was a nattily dressed businessman, a fish silverfox. He looks much slicker and crass in this show.

Apollo is quite a name to live up to so surely he will be Josepha's knight in shining armor.

As for the scene of Calumba trying to seduce her father in law...yikes. How does she get into those patent leather outfits and how does she walk in those stilettoes? And all this while her daughter still lues batter ed and bruised in a hospital bed. Mother of the year , for sure.

I was trying to figure out the fabrics Columba favors. Pleather? Plastic? What? Too funny. She is tall to begin with and those heels propel her to a towering height. Columba doesn't deserve her children and is a poisonous influence.

Color me shocked shocked shocked about Ramses and Calumba. If you can stomach it, here's what I got from their conversion, but please correct me if I'm wrong. They've been doing this for weeks. (I'd wondered whether Kika is Rameses, but I heard "semanas" (weeks)). Ramses say Calumba has become his biggest fantasy. Also, she can tutear him here (use "tu" instead of "usted"). (I didn't realize she was formal with him in the family home.) She says they've danced and drank together, but asks when they will get to the next step. He says to the outside world he's bold, but here he's timid. He says he will continue calling her when he wants and she will come.

Diana, I find this show fascinating as it twists and turns onward.

Cantu is amazing . His facial expressions and low, gravely, growling voice are terrifying .

The outside of the mansion was also featured in the show that the Cal actor and Cantu were in starring Rulli. I can't remember the name . All those windows..."people who live in glass houses...."

The young actress playing nasty Lola has been in so many recent novelas. Does she always play the bad girl?

I watch Ramses as he stares at Leona , and he always looks suspicious and angry, but I don't think he realizes that she is Mar...yet.

The actors are doing an amazing job. I am impressed That Daniel Embittar can hold his own in his scenes with Cantu. He isn't using his signature side eye look as much as he did in Herencia. I have never seen him in a galan role, and I thought Danielo ( David) was meant to be the galan in this show. I have seen Danilo( David) play good guys and bad guys , so who knows.

Niecie, thanks for that dialogue from the dark, disturbing tryst between Calumba and Ram...yuck. ..so they have been dancing and drinking together for weeks . I wonder where they are meeting . I am sure Gael wouldn't care , but it is telling that he is in the hospital with the girls and his wife is trying to reduce his father . ...lovely family. I worry about young Oliver alone in his room with all the grownups otherwise occupied . The larger the house, the more alone the inhabitants can be .

Then, we have Jo pining over an old, long lost love and David and Leona making love letters in the sand . The past and the present are entertwined in this tale of love and evil.

So, there is at least one bounhdary he is unwilling (should I even dare to say scared) to cross?? Yet. When I stopped and thought about it, he has treated Gael with scorn and contempt his entire life, why stop there?

As always, that scene was staged and acted perfectly. Repulsive and yet almost impossible to tear your eyes away!!

Diana, I am wondering if the lies told by David and Jacinta will propel Ben into his mother's arms . Ana Julia seems sweet and understanding, but she may feel anger toward her beloved tio when she discovers that he is actually her father . She told Gael that she "feels " like he is more like a father to her than coldhearted Calixto. Do we know how old Mar and Gael were when the babies were born ? 16? Teen parents are in an interesting position ...maybe more like an older sibling than a parent raisingvtgeir offspring . They kind of grow up with their children and then grow old together !

Susanlynn, some time before Mar got pregnant, she told her parents she got accepted to university, so they must have been of age when the twins were born. I assume they were around 18, which is still a pretty young age to be a parent.

I too think Benja will take the news badly, he has become very fond of Leona and will probaby be upset she didnt tell him sooner. AnaJu as well, but maybe she will be more accepting, if she finds out all of the dirty deeds her Tito has done and why Leona had to hide for so long.
I do hope Gael tells AnaJu before Leona does, about being her father and Marena. He's struggling alot with his family and old memories and hes trying his best to become a better person.. but he should start revealing old secrets as well. Maybe he thinks these things will never come out but if he wants to change himself, he has to make that step and talk to AnaJu.
Otherwise I really like where his character is going, a really intense arc with Gael that intrigues me even more than Leonas revenge.

Susanlynn, Benja is going to go through some hurt, there is no question. But there is no reason for him to be upset with Leona who was also in the dark. I think he will be estranged for a time from Jacinta and David but as he is such a good kid, hopefully it won't be for long.

AnaJu's world will be rocked harder I fear. She will be devastated not to have grown up in the knowledge she is Gael's daughter and that everyone conspired to perpetuate the lie. Sadly, Ramses IS still her grandfather so she cannot escape that terrible fact.

While Weirdo makes an excellent point about the ages of Mar and Gael, I thought your guess of 16 sounded right. They looked so young! It could be possible. I was 17 in college so...

Diana , yes, Ben can't blame Leona because David and Jacinta kept the secret from both of them , so I think Ben will run to Leona when the truth comes out . I have no idea how and when the truth will be revealed to either of them or both of them .
On the other hand, Gael has always known that Ana Julia is his daughter, and he has been with her ever since she was born. I am sure that Camila always treated him like he was AJ's father and equally sure that Calixto ignored her and never acted like a father toward her . Therefore, AJ might react with hurt and\or anger to Gael and the rest of the family keeping this secret from her.

Lamberto looked at a business location and asked all the right questions. The previous owner had moved to Michoacan. He finally decided to take the property [Methinks it be a rental.]

Antonia visited Andres who told her he broke up with Elsa because she would have no future with him. He didn't want to talk about it nor did he want her to tell Elsa – or anyone else – anything. She promised him despite not approving of this. She handed him back the documents from Rosendo.

As they arrived at the Quiroga house Horacio told Elsa all she needed was her official ID and her birth certificate. She was a little giddy, saying this was madness [Girl, listen to what you just said]. She went inside and retrieved her birth certificate from Armando's study Flor walked in to ask why. Elsa told her it was a secret and she would soon find out. She ran out with the folder. Flor stood there and shook her head [Why is there a painting on that wall of Salome holding the head of John the Baptist?]

Rosendo was reading a magazine article aloud when Andres returned to his cell. Andres was pleased at his progress and handed the bank folder to him. He read it and became excited. He was happy and confused at the same time at the prospect of so much money. He expressed his gratitude at Andres' and Antonia's help and hugged him. [Remember the cello notes here].

Lamberto and Silvia packed their suitcases. She was happy to be returning to San Juan to be with their children, but the one thing that was missing was getting Andres out of the prison he should not have been in in the first place. Lamberto told her that all was not lost; the lawyer was hard at work [or was it hardly working?] He left to see his cousin.

A female judge or clerk questioned Aurora how and/or when she was sure that Andres intended to rape her. She said “He told me.” “In your original statement you said it was when he tried removing your clothes.” Aurora said she knew before that, then did an about-face and said “No, it was after.” “Before or after? It is very important that you give a clear response.” “It's that it was a long time ago and I don't remember this clearly.” “Excuse me, but one does not forget such things.” “No, no, no, I didn't forget.” “and therefore the accused said h intended to violate you before or after he tried to remove your clothes?” Aurora looked like a deer in the headlights.

Gerardo wrote a prescription for a patient and told him to return in three weeks. When the door closed behind the departing patient Gerardo put away the prescription pad and took out the concert tickets in the drawer. He flashed back to the night he took Antonia to the concert and recalled her pure enjoyment of it and the kiss. He called her cell and they talked about their parents returning. There were two seconds of silence during which Angela appeared in the doorway of Gerardo's office. She was there just long enough to hear him say Antonia's name in a tone of voice never heard with Elena's. He ended the call and turned around. He asked his mother how she was. “I just heard you and I don't like what you were carrying on with Antonia. What are you up to?”

Lamberto thanked Ramón for his help, not just for the job but for how it restored his confidence. Ramón was happy for him to return to be close to his children. Lamberto was hoping then that Aurora would have straightened out and Andres could be released. Bro-hug and adios, for now.

Elsa and Horacio waited in the municipal building [where we all are hoping Hector would stop them]. Elsa was pacing, wondering what they were doing there. Horacio asked “You aren't in love with me?” She swatted him lightly and said to be serious. He asked who left and they end up in love? He wanted the chance to start over and make her happy. Before she could answer the clerk called them inside.

Angela started all over again with Antonia being “not of our class” and Gerardo told her that he and Antonia were friends. Further, he was sick of her class bigotry. “Don't you remember who her mother is? She's the reason your father left me.” “Mother, dear God, it wasn't about that. Things between you had gotten very bad.” “Look, they're living together in the capital. If they were here he'd be rubbing my face in it all this time.” “Mother, that's enough. Change the subject; we will never agree on this. Why did you come here?” “To see you. With all these problems I can't sleep well. Can you give me something to help me sleep?” He paused a moment before saying “I can give you some pills that are not very aggressive. Take one if you can't sleep but not with alcohol.” “I don't like your comments. I haven't drank in a long time.” He wrote the prescription [Raise your hand if you hope she will take them with vodka].

The magistrate took a good look at Elsa, then at Horacio whose smile is probably creeping all of us out]. He asked for their witnesses, but they had not thought of that. Two civil servants were called in for this. He read out the document and handed the book to them for their signatures. Elsa and Horacio signed after them and were declared united in marriage. [The producers spared us the kiss by inserting the title sequence here.]

Aurora exited the building and her cell rang. Carlos asked her where she was that she didn't answer and she said she had silenced the phone for a yoga class. He asked her to meet him at the hotel because his car wouldn't start. She agreed. No sooner had she turned to her right when Elsa and Horacio exited the same building wondering what to do next. Horacio said to tell the world. Elsa said she didn't want to picture her father's face when he finds out. Horacio agreed, saying that “He won't bother you, but he will bother me.” [Man, if that happens it will be anything but a joke.] He said there was something they had to do first and they walked in the opposite direction from Aurora's.

Angela went to Armando's office. He asked where she had been and she told him she had gone to Gerardo for sleeping pills. They then got into a discussion about Estela faking it. He had come to the opinion that Estela and Angela becoming distant after all these years is not normal. She asked if he expected it to be as it was before. He said no but it was too dissimilar. Angela said she could not support faking friendship [What a hypocrite]. She said Estela was playing the fool, as she had caught them in the act. He seemed tired of hearing that – “Again with this?” – and asked “How would she benefit from that?” “To keep you.” He scoffed. “She is nobody without you. Just like me.” She laughed shortly. He did not look pleased. She got up and went over to him and he held her off, knowing what she wanted. “Don't reject me.” He got up and said “I'm telling you for the last time Estela could come through that door at any moment. Just go now, please.” She obliged him.

Horacio and Elsa were in a jewelry store where he bought her a wedding ring. He put it on her finger and they kissed [¡Maldita sea!]

Rosendo won for the second time pitching coins in the exercise yard. Oliver teased him about his luck, he tried to explain how he focused on the throw, then collapsed. Andres and Oliver got him to his feet and got him inside.

Meche came to her father's office to use the copier. She was about to tell him about the weird thing she saw out in the street when the new Sr y Sra Morales walked in. Hector asked what happened and they held up their hands showing the wedding rings. “What madness is this?” he asked. “The best madness of our lives, Dad.” Meche was thrilled and hugged both of them. They all looked at Hector who was dumbstruck for a few seconds, then hugged both and congratulated them.

Rosendo was lying in a bed in the prison clinic. The doctor told Rosendo to get some sleep, then prescribed a blood pressure medication and told Andres that tests were needed to identify the cause.

Antonia got home to find her mother. Silvia told her that Lamberto recovered money from a previous insurance claim and they would be starting a business home in San Juan. [Angela should be giving the liquor store some business within the next two episodes.]

Elsa was not at the dinner table and Armando was peevish. He accused her of doing what she wants. He asked Estela where she was and Estela answered that she did not know. At that moment Elsa and Horacio entered. Elena greeted Horacio and asked whether they had dined. Elsa said No, but they had news. She held up the marriage certificate and announced that they were married. No immediate reaction, then Armando asked “This is a joke, isn't it?” Elsa shook her head. “I can't believe you got married. When did this enter your head?” he asked Horacio. “With all respect, sir, Elsa and I are adults and – ” “We did it, look, it's true” Elsa said as she held up the folder. “Have both gone crazy” asked Elena. “And did you have a bridal dress?” asked Sofia. “No; I didn't have time to think of a bridal dress,” Elsa said. Sofie was disappointed that she didn't get to carry the train for her favorite sister. Armando got angry, saying that marriage is a serious matter and they were taking this too lightly. Horacio told him that he was mistaken. He intended to love and protect Elsa. Estela asked where they were going to live and Horacio said they would live at the hotel. Estela thought that a good idea and led a toast to them. All participated except Armando who looked as though he knew he was outfoxed.

Aurora continued to lie about the yoga class, including about its location. The doorbell rang and Aurora went down to answer it. Carlos followed her and it was Meche who told them about the surprise wedding this morning. Aurora was shocked into silence while Carlos was happy as well as surprised.

Antonia brought Silvia up to date about the hotel. Irene had returned to France; there had been no problem between her and Hector. Lamberto and Gerardo arrived, and they talked about the new business: selling artisanal things.

Estela asked Horacio if his family knew; he answered that his father and Meche knew so that left Carlos and Aurora. Estela asked about Hector's reaction and then joined in the well-wishing. Sofie said they made a nice couple. Armando said nothing [probably planning a closed-door lecture in the study]. Elsa excused herself to pack her clothes and Estela to help her. Armando fiddled with his coffee spoon, not taking his eye off Horacio.

Of course, Estela mostly wanted to talk to Elsa about why she did this. Elsa explained that she wanted to change her life and that Horacio has been a big help about that. He was good to her, they got on well, and yes, this was unexpected. Estela adked if she still had feelings for Andres and Elsa tikd her that she did, but could not forgive that he pursued her for her family's wealth and position. Estela told her she agreed. She had never suspected this of Andres. Elsa had hurt very badly about Andres but she is now calm and content with Horacio. She hoped to eventually fall in love with him [That's not how it works]. Estela said she was sure Horacio will fall in love with her and said that whatever happens, this was her home and she could return whenever she wanted to. She took come clothes out of the closet and said she had to get back down because Horacio was alone with Armando and Elena. [Yes, that would be a horror show.]

Silvia and Lamberto expected to start very shortly and Silvia asked Antonia if she would come and work with her. She liked the idea. Gerardo like it as well. However when he mentioned future concerts that confused Silvia, Lamberto got it, and Antonia had to cover.

It had no escaped Carlos' notice that Aurora said nothing when Meche told them about Elsa and Horacio. She said she was surprised, that was all. Carlos said he was surprised, too, but noticed that Aurora looked displeased. She predicted that this would not go well while Carlos told her to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Andres helped Rosendo back to the cell block. Rosendo had felt faint before but not like this time. He spoke of other pain and Andres told him they needed to hear the test results. A guard came by to get Andres to go to his own cell. Andres complied, telling Rosendo he will see him in the morning.

Elena went after Elsa – as usual – saying that she had done some crazy things but this was it, accepting the first proposal she got. Elsa asked her what the complaint was now, “I'm going now. I won't be living in this house. Isn't that what you've always wanted?” “I'm sure I won't be pleased for long, as long as you don't have a reason to come back.” “I don't think so. Unless the marriage fails I don't think to return to this house. I am an independent woman and I can achieve the single life.” “Yes, why not? You can live a sordid life like that maid, Silvia. I hope you will be very happy with your useless husband.” “Horacio isn't useless. I don't know why you think that way about him.” “Fool. Everyone knows he lives off his father's money.” “You are not the most qualified person to judge anyone. You think your relationship with Gerardo is so perfect?” “Of course I do.” “I strongly doubt Gerardo thinks the same.” She left her cold fish of a sister speechless.

Lily asked Flor if she was surprised at this marriage. Flor didn't quite believe it but Lily said she heard this being talked about in the dining room while she was clearing the plates. Flor told her to mind her own business and not invent things. She thought the whole thing absurd. Elsa then entered the kitchen to say her goodbyes to the staff. She showed Flor the rings [Horacio at least had the class to buy her a diamond solitaire] and Flor was, well, floored. Elsa said they would talk about it another time, then she left.

Silvia scolded Antonia for accompanying Gerardo to a concert. Antonia told her tthey were only friends. Nothing going on. Silvia went on about nothing could go anywhere especially since Gerardo is married to a daughter of Armando Quiroga.

While driving Horacio called Hector to ask if he and Elsa could live at Hector's parents' home. He said they were going to the hotel that night and Hector was alright with this. Hector said he would call and have a room set up for them.

Armando said that this was the lowest thing Elsa has done, but Estela could not see anything wrong with the marriage. Armando said that Horacio lived off his father's money. Estela pointed out that he had lived in the capital where he had a good job and Armando repeated that Horacio returned to San Juan to sponge off his father's business. Estela wouldn't believe that but Armando was certain that time would prove to her that “he married Elsa for my money.” Estela went after his obsession with money and that he prioritized it over Elsa's happiness. Armando said that Horacio is not the man who could make Elsa happy; Estela said “According to you no man would be ideal for Elsa.” That was it and the way Armando looked at her seemed to indicate that she had his number at least on this.

A little awkwardness between a couple in this situation is probably normal; neither knew whethere the other preferred the left or right side of the bed, for example. He asked ifshe knew where she wanted to honeymoon and she said she would think about it.

Aurora could not sleep. Her bedside lamp was still on after Carlos had turned his off. She said she was alright. He told her he loved her and she said she loved him. However she did not kiss him back. She said Goodnight, turned off her lamp, and started crying.

Elena sat up waiting for Gerardo who told her he had been with his father who had just returned to San Juan. “With your father or the whole family?” she asked in Round 1,000 of Heavyweight Marriage. “Including that social climber Silvia.” “Don't call her that.” “Were you or not?” “Yes, I was with Silvia. Any problem? No, right?” He turned away to start undressing. “Today something happened while you were not here with your wife.” “Yes? What?” “Elsa and Horacio got married.” “What? How did they marry?” “Yes, another stupidity of my 'dear' sister.” Gerardo said nothing.

The next morning it looked as though Elsa and Horacio slept in separate rooms. She had not slept well. She told him he was too restless, snored, and talked in his sleep. Not funny when trying to sleep. Now she was hungry so he got up to dress.

Armando and Estela were ready for the day. He kissed her before leaving for work and with impeccable timing Hector called. They decided to have a dinner party for both families which she insisted on hosting because she was the mother of the bride.

Carlos and Aurora came to the hotel just as Horacio and Elsa finished breakfast. Carlos hugged both of them while Aurora stood there silent and with her usual Resting Bitch Face. Horacio saw that and asked “Aren't you going to congratulate us?”

Urban, great job. I loved all your commentary.

Ugh, Elsa did it. You know things are crazy when you're nodding in agreement with Armando. Except, I do believe Horacio is good at his job and certainly doesn't need Armando's money. I think they slept in the same bed, but nothing's happening in it except snoring. Oh well, Elsa is thrilled with her new life. For me, Horacio would be a fun date at Disneyland, punto. But maybe there's more to him...

No idea what will happen next, but it seem this pretty much assures Andres will be cleared soon.

Interesting that Silvia and Antonia mulled over Irene leaving. I hope this means Irene is still on the show.

Honestly, I hated this episode, except for Elena and Aurora being ticked about the marriage. Estella is a trooper being gentle and understanding with Elsa no matter what.

Thanks, Urban, great retell. Not so great episode. I agree with Elena and Armando about the marriage. Not the marrying for money part. But how foolish to marry someone you don’t love. And Aurora’s interview did not go well, too bad Elsa didn’t know that. And I just now figured out where Aurora was when she said yoga class! But she also showed us her true feelings for Horacio.

Lamberto needs to marry Sylvia. Angela and Elena are so much alike. But I think it would be better for Sylvia to be married. Might shut those two up. But it does make you wonder about Armando. His lover is so much like his daughter!

Why isn’t Gerardo divorcing Elena. Now that his parents are back she will be on him every time he visits them. He should have divorced right after the honeymoon.

Urban, your wry, wonderful wit soothed much of the disbelief and dismay that we were feeling watching the incomprehensible and disturbing marriage of Elsa and Horacio.

“He wrote the prescription [Raise your hand if you hope she will take them with vodka” and “Flor was, well, floored” were great.

As with most TN tragedies, Elsa forgot far too quickly how much she and Andres loved each other. After everything that transpired, how could she believe that he wanted her for anything other than love? Shame on Andres for doing that with believable coldness and callousness.

Why did she compound the issue by agreeing to marry Horacio? Friends but no romantic spark whatsoever. The driest, most perfunctory wedding I’ve ever seen. I was so annoyed that Elsa was smiling ear to ear through every scene, the proposal, marriage and aftermath. “She hoped to eventually fall in love with him [That's not how it works]” is so, so true.

“The magistrate took a good look at Elsa, then at Horacio whose smile is probably creeping all of us out” was exactly right!!

“You know things are crazy when you're nodding in agreement with Armando” mirrored my thoughts as well Niecie. While I enjoyed his dismayed astonishment, I have to say he was right…

I did like Elsa throwing Elena’s sham of a marriage back in her face, hitting the bullseye that Gerardo is obviously unhappy. You’re right Liz, he better start working on the divorce. No time like the present.

Poor Hector looked so shocked but true to form, I am sure he wants to believe what he is seeing before him is real. I so enjoyed his deep laughter and smile.

Aurora is sinking from the weight of her lies regarding Andres and the marriage of the man she loves to another. Karma is coming.

“Irene had returned to France” but why, oh why?

Thank you, Urban, you got it all!

What a fun episode! I have to admit I so enjoyed the spur of the moment “wedding” if nothing else because Elsa finally outsmarted Armando and he could do nothing to control her. He never saw it coming. I wonder if he realized that it never would have happened if he had never tried to abort her baby or send her to Demencia’s. Also, seeing Elena’s and Aurora’s reactions was a treat. I do not expect the marriage to last but it sure will be entertaining for as long as it does and aggravates the usual suspects.

That being said, Urban, ITA about being spared the wedding night.

Urban, thank you for every detail of an episode that seems to have stunned both the characters and the viewers.


Wow, the writers don't seem to understand that the main theme of this show was the deep love between Romeo and Juliet ...Andres and Elsa. Instead, they decided to make Elsa totally believe Andres's sudden declaration that he actually pursued her for her family's money . So , I guess Elsa had no inner voice telling her that Andres, her one true love, was trying to free her so that she would not have to wait for him for 8 years. And after a few months , Elsa is giggling like the teen she is supposed to be and leaping into marriage with a buddy . Are they now going to be friends with benefits? Evidently her grief over baby Eva has also been covered up by this new life . The writers have gone down a strange path with this storyline. Well, at least this marriage has ticked off some folks...Armando, Angela, Elena, and Aurora . ...so there's that .

Elsa is trying too hard. I know how she feels.

This is a jailbreak marriage. She is a legal adult who needs to get away from her father's interference and this is the easiest way out. We don't actually know how much she told Horacio of her heartbreaking story but I am not sure how much of it he would understand.

Hector probably sees her as a potentially good influence on Horacio because she takes after her mother. However he still needs to deal with his other DIL who takes after hers.
