*DEA Boss & Castillo discuss the annoying situation at DEA Mexico HQ.

*Castillo nags at Dahlia LOL.

*Karla's attempted interview with Alfaro ends in disaster.

*Psycho Jaime calls Alfaro; it seems that Psycho Jaime will do pretty much everything to become the next President of Mexico in 2024.

*Isturiz & Diana doing a little snooping over at Psycho Jaime's house.

*Crazy Tracy & DEA Lackey speak with Mecha over in Mexicali.

*Roberta notices Mecha got flustered by the corrupt DEA agents.

*Aurelio & Vitaminas are driving somewhere.

I am still watching this but I am woefully behind, like episode 14, I think, lol. I hope to catch up over the weekend so I can join you all in discussion. I have a three day weekend this weekend so hopefully plenty of time to catch up! I have to fully focus when I watch this because there's so much happening and so many things to track and keep up with if my mind wanders or I try to multitask I miss so much.

#23 César tells Camila the truth about visiting Estela in the hospital. However, despite the fact that Estela said Mariana’s husband shot her, she did not recognize César.

Two snakes jockey for position. Gumchew, trying to look innocent, tells Renata that he can’t possibly do what she wants. She hints that evidence against Ferrer can be found. Gumchew, after playing coy, finally says that he wants una jefatura central de Los Angeles and a higher grade. Not sure what he means by this rank.

Noelia gets another email from “Adriana”.

Alejandra presents her plan to Pascual…that she’ll say in a presser that, if her brother-in-law is guilty he’ll pay the same price as any other. Pascual barely refrains from choking her. Francisco Javier is ready to go along with this. Pascual looks at his elder son as if he’s something he scraped off his shoe.

Inés gets a text from “Mariana" saying she’ll send her an account number to which to send the $1 million.

Yvonne appears on TV with the female buitre saying she’s practically a member of the family and that César is innocent. Cami comes to César's house and sees most of Yvonne's performance on the sofa with Elvira.

Eva tells Renata about the poisoning. We almost feel sorry for Renata when her eyes fill up with tears, recounting all she did for Pascual, even giving him his freedom knowing him incapable of fidelity.

Renata tells Eva that, back in the day, he used to have calls from HER appear as Pedro. So Kevin is another spoof.

Elvira and Camila bond. Then César, Cami, Elvira and Noelia have lunch.

Márquez tells Gumchew that the IP address sending Noelia emails is protected by the government, maybe a senator.

Olga is asked to get ready for the presser at Casa Del Rio. Elvira gives Ale a look. And Chuy looks on.

Cami offers to help César investigate.

Ale comes to Chuy’s room. At last, he throws her out.

César and Linda put their heads together. The “government” protection of the IP address could mean the emails were sent from a jealous senator, one who found out her fiancé had a lover.

Cami goes into Ale’s bathroom because she forgot to bring something she needs. She finds one of those strips of photos from a machine. [Do those still exist?] The photos are of Alejandra and Adriana.

Novelera,thank you for all the devious moments. .... wowee wow ...the writers are throwing something new at us in every episode . Evidently ,DAMA was everything everywhere all the time . Now her connection to Ale is revealed . Viewers are kept guessing . And Ale is the person emailing Noeli.

Yes, those photo strip machines are still around . I have seen them in movie theaters .

Looks like Kevin is a woman , and Pedro (Eva) will tag team up with Renata against Pasqusl. Busted uh oh.

Thank you so much for the recap novelera. It is a terrific synopsis of what went on last night.

I am glad Cesar did not lie again to Cami and she got some time to see him in his element with his family. She has to contrast the caring, loving mother to her own vicious Renata. I did feel sorry for Renata for a millisecond, but got over it quickly.

I thought it was hilarious that Eva used to be Pedro! Is Adriana Kevin?

Big Ed played his role of womanizer well last night as he charmed Ines. He does see right through Alejandra.

Alejandra! I did not see that one coming. So now we add her to the list of suspects.
I was happy to see Olga defending Chuy a bit last night and that Chuy kicked Ale out of his room. I still hope for Chuy to run into our Detective Linda at some point.

ooo, Adriana ??? wants to meet with Noelia and take her to a special place, but lets keep this secret. (how did Noelia get her tablet back?)

yep, today FJ is in, whatever the "future wife" wants, mode. (except for maybe the part where she wants Chuy)

I cracked up when Yvonne showed up on tv, she sure knows how to get her foot in the door, no matter how much everyone tries to ignore her. (the reporters name is Vero)

wow, so Pascual invites himself to a coffee date with Ines, she makes the coffee, overlapped with Renata's comment, "he finds any woman a challenge".

Renata was quick to see Eva's turnaround caused by her being displaced by Kevin the dentist, funny that in her time Eva was Pedro the tennis instructor. Not sure if Eva is getting the boot.

that was a pretty spartan lunch, soup and water, not even crackers, but I guess Cami qualified for a future dessert.

there is a picture booth here in the local mall, and I guess you can get digital copies as well.

is Ale smart enough to be evil?

so will Noelia have a new sister/brother from Tomas, run Ines run.

Like VVS, I was relieved (and a bit surprised) that César told Camila the truth about his coming to see Estela in the hospital. I was also interested in the flashback of that scene, which showed things I think we hadn't seen before, such as Estela's saying to César that he doesn't look like the man who shot her, and César's showing her a photo of FJ and asking whether he was the one. She immediately denies this, recognizing FJ as Camila's brother.

I hate the fact that almost every time a novela includes a cute child as an important character, that child winds up threatened, kidnapped, etc. So when Noelia gets a message from "Adriana" saying she wants to take her to a secret place and not to tell anyone, I groaned.

So Alejandra apparently knew Adriana and now joins the list of suspects. But why would Alejandra bother sending messages to Noelia? As far as we know, Ale has nothing to do with César and his family. What does she gain from sending messages to Noelia?

Well, I guess we'll have all weekend to scratch our heads, since there will be no episode shown tonight (Friday). That will give me more time to fail to solve Saturday's New York Times crossword puzzle.

Darcy, we look forward to having your astute comments here when you catch up. Yes, this is definitely a head scratcher. A new suspect joins the ranks practically every episode.

Thanks, Susanlynn, for filling me in on the photo machines. I can’t remember the last time I saw one. I know I used a bunch of them in my youth, some with girlfriends making funny faces and others with boyfriends doing the same. A staple was the forked fingers over the head of the other person to indicate IIRC that the other was sort of a devil.

VVS, good point about Camila getting to see a family where they aren’t throwing barbs every time they’re in a room together. That lunch was charming, featuring Camila being over the moon about Elvira’s chicken soup.

I’m giving Big Ed the benefit of the doubt. He may be cozying up to Inés so as to find out something he can use to help Tomás. This is necessary because it looks like Renata is more than willing to go along with Alejandra’s plan to defeat her “tough on crime” opponent by throwing Tomás under the bus.

deb, as usual, you bring out the goodies! Loved you wondering if Ale is smart enough to be evil. And, yes, the person trying to convince Noelia she’s her mother and to come live with her is baaaad, whoever they are. It certainly doesn’t sound like Adriana, especially in light of our seeing her in the first episode where one of her birthday wishes was that Noelia would forgive her for being a bad mother.

Juanita, ITA in wondering what Alejandra would want with Noelia. Unless she’s bad to the bone enough to want to do away with DAMA’s child as revenge for her relationship with Francisco Javier.

And the request for the transfer of $1 million is odd. So…either Ale wants the bucks and she's doing all the communication with cast members. Or only the communication with Noelia is from Ale. And maybe Inés is getting emails and texts from the real DAMA who has now set up a bank account. Lots of mysteries and an abundance of red herrings.
