More big time drama at the vineyard yet not too much that actually inspires comment. I actually LOL'd when David suddenly decided he acted in haste after Susan let it slip how Luci feels about him - is he a teenager? Like really, have we stumbled into one of those child in a grown man's body shows and they just haven't told us yet?? And Miguel was worse, getting into it with the boss because you don't like the way he treated 'your' girl? Every time I decide these people are wrong for treating these adults like children they start acting like children and make me question whether or not they are being treated incorrectly after all.

Then you have the flip, Bobby's entirely mature reaction to Marta's possible leaving. Yes, disappointed and denying at first but ultimately willing to concede that Marta needs to be with her daughter. He's too reasonable for this vineyard. Luckily we have Fern to insist that Marta can't possibly leave because she and Bobby need her and how can she abandon them? Fern is old enough to know the score, she knows Luci grew up without her mother while Marta chose to stay and raise them, I don't know how she can whine and insist that she stay with them - especially knowing she caused Luci's exit - with a straight face is beyond me. It's not just selfish, it's like award winning selfishness. And still, she's the one Marta sees as a flawless princess while she criticizes Luci's brashness.

I'm glad Luci didn't just accept David's apology but I hate the back and forth between Miguel and David. She's mad at David and back on Miguel's arm again....it's tacky.

It's actually surprising that Fern doesn't see through Graciela.....she's old enough and savvy enough to have Grace's number, she must have one serious Grace shaped blind spot in her vision.

Vino. Loved your comments, Darcy! David said he was an imbecile. And he's right! It turns out Fernanda doesn't have that much conscience after all. Even though Luciana saved her life, she's not willing to tell the truth about how the stolen jewels were planted in Luciana's bag. Instead she's going along with evil Aunt Graciela's deception. Of course, she thinks that will help get rid of Luci. And btw, Luciana had better get cracking if she expects to get to Santa Barbara by nightfall. It's really very far from Sonoma. Besides, Luci doesn't appear to have a car or know if there's a direct bus route there or when a bus leaves. Maybe Miguel or Susan would drive her?

SpanProf, there was some discussion on the original recap about whether or not the vineyard Luci is going to is named Santa Barbara or it was located in Santa Barbara, I didn’t catch anything in the episode yet to make me believe it is one or the other but since Sonoma and Santa Barbara are so far apart geographically, it wouldn’t certainly be easier plot wise if she was headed to a neighboring property named SB, I guess we will see.

Another eventful day.....let's see what I remember!

Fernanda actually came clean!!! Then Graciela threw a giant fit!!!

Guiterrez broke things off with Marta claiming it was because of work, but Marta wasn't fooled and said Lilian won't get away with this! Is Marta more scheming than she appears thus far???

Fern gave a half-hearted apology to Marta which she accepted too easily, she even got onto to Luci later for daring to even question Fern since 'she already apologized'. Sigh

David hoped this would change things with Luci but she's still determined to leave....he always tried to tell her he loved her but that didn't work either. Luci is once again stuck between a David and a Miguel and naive as she might be it is wrong for her to let Miguel follow her when she leaves the vineyard, she knows she doesn't feel the same as he does.

Leon found out Carita's evil scheme which was harsh, but I'm glad she isn't going to be stringing him along for 100+ episodes. I actually think these two have some chemistry. It would be fun if Leon completely put Carito in the rear view and she suddenly realized she really does care about him, then we watch her try to win him back! But I doubt that will happen. It would be good though, those mean girls need something better to do than stand around bitching about Luci.

Darcy: Let me guess: More Mean Girls bullying Luciana AGAIN ? What is it about Luciana that they hate her so much ?

Are they're jealous ?

Vino. Did Fer never attend Sunday school? She did the right thing in admitting she had planted the jewelry in Luciana's bag, but then she lets Graciela guilt trip her for not continuing the framing. Graciela is just lucky that Fernanda didn't mention auntie's role in the deception. I notice that Liliana still wants to consider Luci a thief despite the clear evidence. It's a good thing Fer confessed before the police arrived. Santa Barbara must just be a neighboring vineyard, not the city, because they show Luciana speaking to its manager, and then presumably going right back to the one where she has worked. Btw, he gives a run-through of Luci's resume, which is very impressive, and he says how happy his vineyard would be to have her. Among other things, David's vineyard doesn't appear to appreciate her skill set.

Vino. And the punishment for Fer was perfectly reasonable, given that her lies could have ruined Luciana's life, and her drinking could have cost her own life if it hadn't been for Luci. Great facial expressions on the actress playing Graciela!

I have a meeting tonight so I am going to go ahead and comment early. Maybe it means I'll remember more although I was pretty distracted watching today. I did read the OG Recap though so that helps. I just can't guarantee there may not be some differences from the original broadcast if Uni brought out the scissors.

I guess the most shocking development is supposed to be Marta's admission that she actually did have an affair with Lillian's husband, but I'm not surprised. I have been saying all along Marta doesn't quite live up to the good girl image. She's not a good mother, and I don't like the way she treats Ramon, so I feel like shady is in her. The most annoying thing to me is when people both do the wrong thing AND seem proud of themselves for doing it. Ie. Marta throwing it in Lil's face that Lil's husband preferred her and Guiterrez does too.....sigh. It's one thing to the crime, all human beings make bad choices from time to time but to have zero shame or guilt over it and actually lord it over someone is just a whole different level. So once again, I am not liking Marta. Though I guess I should pity her a little since she's in a precarious health position at the moment.

Speaking of, it was interesting to me how down to earth and genuinely concerned Carito was in taking care of both Ramon and Leon when they became ill. That's a side of her we haven't seen. There may be hope for her yet.

There was a lot of talk on the OG post about how dangerous Juan could be to Perla and how stupid she is to stay with him, which I agree with but I'm still team 'Perla has claws we haven't seen yet'. I really want to see her bite back when she finally realizes she's bitten instead of just being the typical disposable victim....the way Juan is always grabbing her by the throat is disturbing though, it has foreshadowy vibes.

We are pre-empted tomorrow....probably by Futbol but I don't remember for sure, lol. So we have until Friday to soak in today's happenings.

I just can't seem to care about the David-Luci-Miguel of it all, and Gracie isn't doing much except pulling Fern's strings so far....I hope this ramps up soon. I want to love this, but it's kind of boring so far...

Vino. All the people who handled the pesticide are now very sick. In the real world, that would mean a massive lawsuit for both Juan and the pesticide or distribution company (not to mention criminal charges since the ingredients are illegal in the US). The love "triangle"? Boring is right!

"VINO":

Darcy: I enjoyed watching this Telenovela back then & enjoying it now in Daytime.
