My Zap2it schedule has WC soccer on Friday night 830 - 1100, no Secretos. I'm on the East coast. I think we've had this East/West issue before. Who knows what Telemundo will do.
Not only that, dondi356, but Secretos will start running 2 hour episodes 9-11 starting tomorrow :(
I am having a terrible time with my laptop. It's in very bad shape and I need to restart it often.
I have most of last night's recap done except for the last 5 minutes of the show. I'll post it and maybe someone else can fill in the last minutes.
I'm not sure if I can continue with full recaps until I get a new laptop, especially if the episodes are going to 2 hours.
Hopefully, we can at least continue a discussion. Sorry.
Ilcey copy Engin’s revenge list to a chalkboard. Ceylin, Ilgaz, Yekta, Lacin, Eren, Osman, Cuneyt, Cinar, Pars. The killer had long hair, Ceylin states. That’s no one on the list, Ilgaz replies. Right, Ceylin says, maybe it was someone who had a problem with Engin. Ceylin adds Seda to the list.
Ilgaz proposes a hitman theory. Ceylin says the hitman would be connected to someone on the list. Ilgaz thinks it’s Yekta. Of course, Ceylin immediately agrees. He points out there’s no evidence to support that. Ceylin thinks it’s Yekta because he’s making a big deal of the glove and hair—he knew it would be a match. Ilgaz says, put yourself in his place, you would ask for the DNA to be compared, too.
Ceylin gets frustrated and gets her coat. Ilgaz switches over to the custody case. He says they need to find the woman involved with Ipek’s husband. She tells him she received a message from her mother and needs to go home. You go to the station, she says.
Parla goes to a store and asks the clerk for a bag with three colors. The clerk puts it in a bag. There’s a man lurking outside, watching her. Cinar is also watching. The lurker follows Parla when she leaves. Cinar calls Serdar. There’s a cop following her! Did you know they were following her? Serdar replies, calm down, the girl knows what to do. Cinar is panicked—if they catch her, her life and ours will be ruined. Serdar quickly ends the call.
The judge who received Yekta’s objection speaks with Pars. Pars thinks it is all unnecessary. The judge is leaning towards pre-trial detention for Ceylin. Pars makes his case. The defendant wasn’t released because of the glove, she was released because of a footprint found at the scene that made us suspect a third person. And the cigarette butts. The judge says Yekta believes that Ilgaz made the print. Pars says he will interview Ilgaz to determine if it is his print and he will add that to the file. Then you can decide. The judge agrees.
Ceylin did not go home. She went to Tilmen Law. People recognize her as she storms into the building. She bursts into Yekta’s office. Cuneyt and Seda are there. She shouts, what do you want from Ilgaz? Your problem is with me. Yekta laughs. Cuneyt asks her to calm down. Yekta is enjoying this.
Ceylin rants, are you a complete idiot? You attack us on social media, then you tamper with evidence! You call yourself a lawyer? Yekta fires back, Ilgaz got himself in trouble when he went to the crime scene. He did the crime and should do the time. Cuneyt has to hold her back. Ceylin snaps, you’re the only criminal here! Ilgaz is a noble man. Seda tells Cuneyt to call security.
Ceylin threatens, I swear you’ll pay for this! You’re the only one who will pay, Yekta answers, I just buried my son! The one you murdered! I didn’t kill your son, Ceylin shouts, we both know it! I’ll make you and all your loved ones pay, one by one, Yekta responds. The argument goes on until security shows up. She threatened me, Yekta shouts, call the police! Ceylin is taken away. Yekta loves it.
Eren goes over his list with Niyazi. We can’t leave them alone for a minute, Eren says, we have to know what they do, where they go, who they meet. Whoever did this probably received money. We’ll check their bank accounts. We will make them pay for every mistake.
Umut prints a report for Ilgaz. The woman was Salih’s girlfriend, she broke into his apartment and made a scene. Neighbors heard and the police intervened. She’s Arzu Hayman. She works at a cosmetics store.
Ilgaz stops in to see Eren. Eren shows him the list of 5 possible rats.
Osman finds out Parla has been cutting school.
With Merve’s help, Parla manages to dodge the cop in a clothing store. She transfers the merch to a bag in a dressing room. Merve retrieves the merch and Parla leaves the store. The cop and Cinar follow.
Umut runs over to Eren and Ilgaz. Ceylin is here in a cell! Ilgaz goes to her. I couldn’t contain myself, she explains, you have every right to be upset. But I needed to shout everything to his face. Then everything got out of control. Ilgaz is ticked. Are you happy? I won’t believe you anymore if you say you are going to see your mother. There will always be doubt.
She asks Ilgaz, Are you upset? [did you laugh at this like I did?] He’s upset alright. He tells her it was a mistake. He (Yekta) will come for us. I know this is who you are, and I’ve accepted this, he says, but I wish you could know how worried I was about you.
Eren comes over and tries to make light of the situation. He has Ceylin released from the cell. He tells her she has a good lawyer. Ilgaz tells her she has to make a statement before she leaves. This is another complaint against her. She’s so sorry. They hug.
The cop stops Parla. A female cop shows up. She searches Parla and her bags. Cinar lurks. They find nothing but Parla is shaken. Cinar comes to her. Don’t worry, he says, I told that idiot Serdar that we will take care of it. Did Merve take the merch? Parla thinks so. This is the first and last time, Cinar tells her, you’re not doing this stuff again. Parla says she was scared, but at the same time she liked it. It was an adrenaline rush.
Seda surprises Merdan at a restaurant. She has questions about Merdan’s past dealings with Yekta. Merdan admits he might have some connection. So ask Yekta where the body is, she replies. Merdan replies, there are things you don’t directly ask. Seda says she can’t directly ask either. Are you suggesting that? Merdan warns, the months pass, and you are running out of time. I’m getting tired of this… and when I get tired of something, I take it out on others.
Ilgaz makes dinner and he tells Ceylin he has to see Pars to make a statement. He shows her Eren’s lab suspect list. Do you recognize any of them? Could any of them be taking orders from Yekta? She doesn’t know them.
Ilgaz switches to the custody case. He wants to question Salih’s “girlfriend”.
Cinar confronts Serdar about putting Parla in danger. Did you know the police would go after Parla? He admits he knew. The cops got suspicious, he explains, if I had done nothing, the cops would have the money and the merch. That’s why I sent the girl.
Serdar says Merve is giving the merch to Tugce. We see this as the convo between him and Cinar continues. Cinar is very upset—I asked you if there was a risk, and you told me to relax. How could you be so cruel? You sent her knowing the police would follow!
Serdar tells him to lower his voice, and asks, what’s wrong with you? Did anything happen to you? Did anything happen to Parla? No. Why are you complaining? Serdar continues, you said she was young, but you still fell in love, didn’t you?
Cinar grabs him by the collar. Didn’t you hear me? What the hell are you saying? Inci trusted me to protect her. I won’t let you or anyone else exploit her. Understand? Don’t get her in trouble. No one else is going to die because of me. If you mess with her, you’ll have to deal with me.
Tugce hides the merch in her room.
Pars makes a nice dinner for Neva. He asks her to have her things sent back from the hotel. She tells him she rented a place. Is this what you were hiding when you said it was private, he asks. [Dramatic pause for Neva’s nervous look.] That’s right, she replies, I was already looking and I was hiding it from you. “Hayirli olsun”, (may it be good/congratulations), Pars says. Weird look on his face.
Ilgaz shows Ceylin pics of the lab people. Goksu is the one who took his sample.
Parla gets dreamy over a pic of Cinar on her phone. Osman and Aylin interrupt. Osman tries to ease into the conversation but, Aylin gets right to it—we know you’re not going to school. Big blow up and Parla has a panic attack. That ends the convo.
Ceylin is still carrying on about Yekta. But at least she realizes she made a mistake with him. [she makes the same mistakes over and over.] Ilgaz says they will work it out. Ceylin is glad that Ilgaz doesn’t get mad or blame her. She says, when we were kids, we would get in trouble. We were raised not knowing if we were loved or not. Instead, you heal my wounds and make me feel better. I hope that you don’t abandon me like my father. I’m happy where I am and won’t go anywhere, Ilgaz replies.
Eren tells Metin he went over the bank accounts of the 5 suspects. Nothing strange there. Eren says he suspects Yekta is behind it. Metin says to have his account investigated but inform Pars. Niyazi enters the office and says, I don’t want to make accusations without evidence, but I think I have something. Metin snaps, you either have something or you don’t. He thinks it was….Goksu [not surprised]
Eren can’t believe it. Goksu is too smart. Niyazi says she’s been acting strange since yesterday, as if she was hiding something. “Think” and “as if” does us no good, Meting replies. He turns to Eren, speak to Goksu in private. Don’t approach it as you suspect her. Niyazi thinks he dumped the blame totally on Goksu.
Ilcey go to speak with Salih’s ex GF at her workplace. They step outside to talk. She explains that Salih and Ipek’s relationship had deteriorated. They were getting a divorce. We were very serious, she says, we spoke about marriage. Ceylin asks, did you break up because she found out?
No, Arzu replies, Ipek found out and made a scene. She said she wouldn’t get divorced. She would rather die. Then out of nowhere, she mentions a baby. She gave the baby away, later they reunited and got married. She never thought about the little girl, until Salih asked for a divorce. That caught him off guard.
Did you break up after that, Ceylin asks. Yes, Arzu answers, Ipek said she would look for the girl, I’m not sure. Ilgaz asks her if she would testify to this in court. We want to prove Ipek only wants the girl to keep her husband. Arzu agrees.
Osman wants to take Parla to a psychologist.
There’s a knock at the Erguvan’s door. Aylin answers—It’s Zumrut. She looks embarrassed. Ziver made çiğ köfte last night, she says. We see a smiling Ziver in the street. He shouts out a hello. Aylin tries to be pleasant. Thank you… Zumrut must have had a craving, she responds. That’s right, Ziver replies, I started cooking.
Zumrut stands there, looking at the ground. Eat spicy, and you will have a boy, Aylin says, are you going to give Ziver a boy? Osman looks sick. Aylin grabs the plate and Zumrut bolts. Osman can’t look at Aylin.
Pars interviews Lacin. You said you went to Sile, but you didn’t. You said you had the keys, but you didn’t. Your driver said you were in the car. You’ve said a lot that doesn’t add up. I don’t know what to believe. Lacin remains silent. I understand, Pars continues, your son got out of jail, and you didn’t want to see him behind bars again. It would make sense a mother would do that. But that’s not how the law works. Admit you kidnapped him.
Lacin denies it. I didn’t kidnap Engin. I can’t accept a vague denial, Pars replies, I don’t believe you. Lacin says she didn’t see or speak to Engin after he got better. But you saw him before, Pars notes, you had time to come up with a plan. Did you visit him in jail? You did. You clearly had something planned. Lacin is adamant, I’m telling you I didn’t do it. Pars talks about Ceylin’s statement. She claims there was a weapon in the car. The keys were there. Let’s say it’s a coincidence. Why was a signal jammer there? Lacin has no idea.
Pars says, let’s assume we believe you. Then where were you when the murder happened? Lacin squirms and says nothing. Pars cracks, you don’t know that either? How do you not know? Yekta pipes up, answer, dear. He asked a simple question—where were you?
Don’t I have the right to remain silent, Lacin asks. Seda says of course, would you like to exercise that right? Yes. Pars warns that would only make her more suspicious. It could tie you directly to the murder. He suggests she think about it. Lacin gets up and walks out of the room. She walks right to her car and the waiting Murat. They suspect it was me, she tells him. Murat looks scared.
Yekta and Seda are still with Pars. Yekta pressures him to move ahead with the accusation against Ilgaz. Pars says he’s still conducting the investigation. Yekta accuses Pars of giving special treatment to Ilgaz. Pars tells him not to repeat that again or he will be sorry. You’re accusing a DA!
It escalates and Seda steps in. She tells Pars, there’s no deadline, but there are precedents. You have enough statements. We are going to speak with the AG or share this case with the media. Now you’re threatening me, Pars asks. There’s the door, do what you want.
Ilcey continue to put together their case. It’s clear Ipek is using the little girl. She wants to ruin the girl’s life to keep a man. They talk about being cheated on in a relationship.
Yekta takes his case to the AG. The AG says he will speak with Pars. If Pars won’t bring the case, then the AG agrees to assign another DA.
Pars interviews Ilgaz. Ilgaz wears the same size shoe as found at the scene.
The AG pressures Pars to move forward with the case against Ilgaz.
This is where I had to end. I couldn't access the Telemundo site to finish the recap.
Thanks SO much, dondi! I'm so sorry you've had these technical difficulties. And I'm FURIOUS about Telemundo messing AGAIN with the schedule. All this shifting around appears to be for that piece of crap entitled "the 50". I would rather eat worms than watch any of their "reality shows", a cheap way to avoid paying real actors to appear in TNs.
About the two-hour episodes, please don't feel obligated to give us more of these excellent full recaps we've enjoyed so far.
Ceylin, yikes! She just plays into Yekta's hands.
It makes me crazy watching Eren show Niyazi everything he's working on about the "rat". He even told him about looking at bank accounts. I expect Niyazi will have received cash or has a way to hide it.
Maybe Cinar needs to go to prison for participating in this hot mess Serdar has cooked up in order to learn his lesson.
That was a big clue last night when Ceylin said something about she and her siblings being raised not knowing if they were loved or not. I kept wondering about Zefar (hope I got that right; he's been dead so long!) and his awful behavior toward Ceylin, refusing to listen to why she was defending Cinar. And then there's her jewel of a mother. These two should have started a savings account for each of their children at birth so as to pay for the years of therapy they'd need in adulthood.
Why does Yekta get to sit in on his wife's declaration to the D.A?
It's taking too long for Niyazi to be found out!!!
Thanks for your comments and support, novelera.
I finally watched the last few minutes of Monday’s show. From a cunningly evil standpoint, Yekta does not disappoint. He pretended to call Pars while in the car with Murat about the “rumor” Lacin would be accused of helping Engin escape. She’s being detained? How long is the sentence? Ten years? I don’t know where she was, maybe she’s protecting someone. Then he made Murat pull over because he felt sick. What a show he put on. Poor Murat freaked out in silence.
Is Yekta always present because he claims defense lawyer status for Lacin?
I hate that Goksu might go down for Niyazi’s crime. Eren is going to feel awful when he finds out about his buddy, Niyazi. He’s going to feel awful when he finds out about Tugce.
I haven’t watched last night’s show yet. I’ll try to fit it in on my lunch hour and after work hours. I don’t know if I can recap with my bum laptop. I’m looking to buy a new one. Hopefully I’ll find one I like soon.
And hopefully Telemundo will stop the 2 hr. episodes soon, Lucio.
Ilcey visit Galip and family to prepare for the hearing. Melike will be interviewed by a psychologist. We find out that Melike has muscular dystrophy. They might be able to use this at the hearing.
Murat swallowed Yekta’s bait. He tells Yekta he will take the blame for Engin’s escape so Lacin can go free. Do you love us that much, Yekta asks. Looks like Yekta takes it as confirmation of his suspicions. Yekta tells Seda to take Murat to Pars for the confession. Seda is horrified that Yekta is letting Murat take the fall. [but it’s sure no surprise]
Murat is arrested. Pars comments, I hope he’s not paying for Yekta’s sins.
The press swarm Pars as he leaves the courthouse. Questions about playing favorites with Ilgaz, his illness, possible removal from the case. Pars shakes off the press but the AG catches up with him. The AG is upset about all the media attention this is bringing. He gives Pars a deadline of tomorrow morning to present the accusation or hand in the file.
Back to the chalkboard. Ceylin says they need to talk to Cinar and Osman. Ceylin erases Ilcey, Eren and Pars. Neva is mentioned. There’s a knock at the door.
It’s Pars and he asks Ilgaz to come with him. Pars gives him the bad news, we have until tomorrow morning to make the accusation, and you, my former colleague, will help me out. We are taking this secret to the grave.
Must have been an all-nighter, Pars yawns as he greets Ridvan at the office next morning. He hands him something to print. The long-awaited accusation?
Ilcey arrive for the custody hearing.
Pars presents the formal accusation in Engin’s case to the AG for review before bringing it to the court. Looks good. Pars asks to be the examining magistrate. According to Wikipedia, “An examining magistrate is a judge in an inquisitorial system of law who carries out pre-trial investigations into allegations of crime and in some cases makes a recommendation for prosecution.” The AG has some reservations whether Pars can do this and still do his own work, but he agrees to it.
Ilgaz brings up Salih’s affair, the divorce request, and the sudden confession of a hidden daughter. Ipek tries to defend herself. Ceylin texts Ilgaz, “call Arzu, she’s waiting outside.” She testifies.
Melike is called to testify. She gives a tearful testimony. I already have a father and mother, she states, I’m their daughter. She looks over at her bio parents. I already have a nice home, a room for myself, and parents, she says, I don’t want to go anywhere else.
Lacin comes to see Yekta. She heard Murat was arrested. Sorry but it’s true, he answers, he sacrificed himself for us. He heard you were in danger and were going to be blamed for what happened to Engin. He did it for me, Lacin asks. She begs Yekta to help Murat saying, this is an injustice. Yekta pulls Lacin into a hug. Of course, I’ll save him. But Yekta has a murderous look on his face.
Seda announces that Pars filed the accusation.
The child psychologist testifies that Melike is doing well in adaptation and development. But she is afraid of her disease. She will likely need a wheelchair by the time she reaches puberty. Ipek jumps from her seat. She blames Galip and Aydan for not taking care of Melike. The plaintiffs or their lawyer had no idea Melike had this illness.
Ceylin texts Ilgaz: “Ask Aydan if they still want Melike.” Ilgaz questions both Aydan and Ipek on this. Of course, Aydan wants Melike. Ipek doesn’t know what to say—she’s stunned. Judge calls a 30 min recess.
Metin asks Eren for word on Goksu. Eren says he’s waiting for the court order, which Umut brings.
Ilcey tell Mr & Mrs Galip that their case looks good. Recess is over and the plaintiffs withdraw the suit. Case dismissed. Joy for the Galip’s family. Salih shouts at Ipek, I want a divorce!
No time to celebrate the victory, Yekta’s car pulls up to the courthouse. There’s news, and he wants to be with Ilcey when it becomes available. Ceylin grabs the file from the clerk’s hand. Read it out loud so we can all hear, he gloats. It reads, “Conclusion and Claim”. Ceylin turns to Ilgaz—this could lead to life imprisonment. She looks sick.
Ceylin is very upset with Pars. How can a friend write such things? I thought he was on our side. Was it a lie? Ilgaz is calm. She continues to rant—life imprisonment is around the corner. I trusted Pars and he trusted me. But he was doing things behind my back.
Ilgaz defends Pars. He was under a lot of pressure. He could have delayed, Ceylin replies, made excuses, but he didn’t! It’s my life! How could he write “life imprisonment”? Ilgaz notes it doesn’t say that, he also wrote his doubts. He wrote about the third suspect. He claimed there was unfair provocation and didn’t mention aggravating circumstances. He could have written a harsher indictment.
When did you become his advocate, Ceylin asks. Then she admits she didn’t read the entire accusation. She realizes that Pars and Ilgaz might have written it together. It’s not like that, Ilgaz replies. You sat down and talked, she says, he advised you and you decided together. Why didn’t you tell him to wait? Why did you let him write that?
Ilgaz says there was no other choice. The AG would have appointed another DA. What would have happened then? Think. Ilgaz lays out another DA’s probable accusation and it doesn’t sound good. Then they would have put you behind bars forever, he tells her, and your mother could also be prosecuted for instigating a crime. Looks like Ceylin is beginning to understand.
Yekta comes to see Pars but he is not in his office. He will wait. He’s upset about the “pathetic excuse for an accusation.”
Pars is at a doctor’s office and Neva is with him. He’s told his original diagnosis is correct. Pars talks about his symptoms. Eyelid tremors. Tremors and numbness in his hand and arm when he’s nervous. The doc is giving him a prescription. Excessive time on the computer, bright lights, hot showers can also trigger seizures. Pars is in a hurry to go. Neva wants to hear more.
The doc wants to do a sleep EEG. Pars balks. He can’t sleep when someone is in the room. Pars just wants to take the meds. The doc says they need to know if he has seizures while he sleeps. Not all medications are suitable for patients. Pars is talked into it.
Yekta is plenty steamed over the accusation. Seda tries to keep him calm. The DA can write what he wants, she says, and besides there’s going to be a trial. This isn’t a judicial ruling. Yekta cannot accept this. He tells Cuneyt to meet with the press. We’ll destroy them all! Let everyone know this is blatant favoritism. Let them say a sick DA can’t make a sensible, logical decision.
Ilgaz tries to give hope to Ceylin. She doesn’t want to go back to prison. The few days she spent there were a nightmare. Ilgaz promises her she won’t have to go back. I’ll fight to the death to have you acquitted. He calmly lays out a plan of defense. Ilgaz says they got a good judge for the case—Judge Kemal.
We see Kemal going over the accusation carefully with his staff. He seems thorough in his preparation.
Ceylin is feeling better now. Ilgaz says not to let emotions get the better of them. Our main goal is to find the shooter. If we find him, everything will change. We must prove the third person exists. Ceylin wants to investigate the 5 people on the traitor list.
The press is waiting for Pars and Neva when they return to the courthouse. They ask Neva about her attack. She’s doing fine. Is there increased security at the court? Yes.
Pars is asked if he filed the accusation in Engin’s case. The court has the info, he replies. When will the first trial be held? We heard you will be in charge of that. You asked for life imprisonment for Ceylin Erguvan, will your illness allow you to continue? Pars confirms his epilepsy. He shares he’s in treatment, under doctor’s supervision. I’ll take my medicine and won’t stop working.
A reporter asks, isn’t this a serious disease? Pars replies, people with epilepsy can work without issue. They can lead normal lives. There’s no problem. People with epilepsy can be very successful in their jobs. Pars excuses himself and walks on. [thanks for the PSA on epilepsy]
Ilgaz needs to give a statement for Yekta’s complaint against him. Ilcey spot Yekta and his gang in the hallway. Thankfully there’s no interaction. Ilgaz is supposed to meet with DA Ismail. Except Ismail is not at his desk, a woman DA is there. She’s filling in [something like that] She was expecting Ilgaz.
Eren tells Metin there’s a problem. Goksu “entered Tilmen’s territorial waters” after work the other day. It’s in the report. Metin says to call Pars immediately. Eren calls Pars. Pars says to put her in custody so she can give a statement. It’s a shame. [I’ll say, she’s being framed]
The new DA starts the interview. You went to the crime scene. Your DNA was found on the glove. Ilgaz says it is true he went to the scene. There were two officers there, too. They were continuing their investigation and I did everything along side them. She asks, even though you weren’t the assigned DA? Yes, Ilgaz replies, I was curious.
She asks him to explain how his DNA got on the glove. I have no idea, he says, but I believe you can explain it better than I could. She asks, you think you’re being framed? Yes. We’ll see, she replies.
Pars finds Ceylin. She tells him Ilgaz is testifying due to Yekta’s complaint. Pars says it might not be necessary. He opens the DA’s door. DA Ismail…. Am I in the wrong room? The DA introduces herself, I’m Derya Ihdal, I’m new here. He introduces himself. She asks, may I help you?
Pars apologizes for entering like that and he welcomes her. He says, there are circumstances that prove that Ilgaz Kaya did not take part in this. We did some investigating. The samples we took were probably altered. We even arrested a police officer linked to the case.
DA Derya interrupts, as far as I know, nothing has been concluded yet, correct? A confession? Concrete evidence? Pars says, it’s true, but that’s why I wanted to fill you in. The charges against Ilgaz Kaya could be dropped at any time. But they haven’t been dropped yet, she replies. If you excuse me, I’ll continue my investigation.
And we are out.
Thanks so much, dondi! This dizi is definitely "must see TV". I love the plotting, although they sure are letting the villains slide for a looooong time.
What a slimy guy that AG is? He has about as much backbone as a jellyfish. You'd think a guy who rose to such an exalted position would be able to see through Yekta's campaign to railroad Ceylin. Yekta is playing the press like the proverbial fiddle. I hope the writers show them turn on him when all is revealed. As I said before, I don't want him to die; I want him to suffer.
These rotating judges confuse me. Although I have heard, at least in fictional TV shows, about either the defense or the prosecution knowing exactly which judges favor or disfavor their cases. I thought I saw a hint that the judge replacing Ismail may have liked Ilgaz's looks.
So...Pars and Ilgaz managed to keep him in charge but had to ask for life imprisonment? Your recap explained this better to me than what I understood last night. And, of course, Ceylin goes ballistic before thinking it through.
Didn't we see Niyazi walking through the corridor toward the lab when he was supposed not to be on duty? I kept expecting Eren's video reviews to come up with that. Everything they find seems to point to Goksu. But the money search should turn up negative. Niyaki has gambling debts and probably can't afford to put the money in her account.
Thank you, dondi356.
Ilcey Law Practice had a good start. Two cases with court hearing - two wins in two days!
The new prosecutor - Derya - looks like no pushover.
Thanks for commenting, novelera.
ITA and LOL, the AG is a jellyfish. It seems his main job is PR relations with the media. Who cares about justice?
Maybe they can have Yekta die of shame.
Derya is a DA, not a judge. That was a bad translation. I’m not sure if she replaced Ismail permanently or temporarily. Pars’ reaction to her was notable.
Speaking of translations, the NY Times had a great article on “The Art of Translation”. I have a subscription. I hope you can open it without one, as a “freebie”.
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2023/07/07/books/literature-translation.html?smid=url-share
Pars is trying to walk a fine line. Ilgaz can appreciate that fact, but “Crazy” Ceylin doesn’t look things from the other side. In times like this, she really annoys me.
Unfortunately, the focus is on Goksu. Eren and Metin still think Niyazi is a good guy. No evidence yet to point in his direction. I’ll count on skeptics r us Ilcey to find out.
Ican't get a 2hr recap done. Maybe some notes later today. I really want to continue the discussion. This dizi is too good to let it fade into oblivion. Telemundo committed an injustice with the lousy scheduling.
I didn't see your comment before I posted, Lucio. Thanks for the comments.
Ilcey are a good team. Derya is going to give Pars agida.
Thanks for correcting Derya's role in the dizi, dondi. SkepticsRus, good one! Wonder if Ceylin is bipolar? Well, not really. I kind of hate cheap diagnoses of behavior. but she sure swings wildly between emotions.
And, OT, I also read that article about the profession of translating and found it fascinating. I have a NY Times digital subscription. My long-time Spanish teacher raves about two translators all the time, Gregory Rabassa and Edith Grossman. García Márquez famously called Rabassa's translation of Cien Años de Soledad better than what he wrote in Spanish. Edith Grossman translated Vargas-LLosa and the newest Quixote.
