Thanks everyone for your kind words and comments. Sorry for not responding sooner. I finally got a new laptop and I’ve been busy with the set up.
Yep, what a mess, Niecie. The stupidity of Cinar knows no bounds. I was hoping that Tugce would disregard him and call her dad.
“Maybe the writers should hire you!” Funny you should say this, novelera. I’ve mentioned before that the scripts for new episodes are written and filmed weekly. Great attention is paid to the ratings and the viewer reactions. This sometimes causes last minute rewrites, additional filming, and big changes in the storylines. So, it’s like the viewers dictate the story.
I’m sorry Serdar wasn’t taken alive. He would have brought Yekta down with him. It makes Yekta a likely murder suspect. Yekta had a bloody hand, but I can’t see him actually killing someone. Hiring someone, yes.
“That lazy jackass Rifat”—I second that.
I believe Yekta got only one floor of that building. A very big floor.
So the bastard has a bastard. I wonder if Omer will be as much of a bastard as his bio dad. Poor Lacin is in for it.
Hi Susan. I'm taking a pass on Amor Prohibido. I saw the Telemundo remake and most of the original. I don't have the time to rewatch it. Beren Saat's character in this dizi is a 180 from Fatmagul. She's a great actor.
Susan, I will be watching this. Now that Enamorándonos is one hour, I have just enough time to watch. After watching episode 1, I can see a lot of situations that will provide an entertaining tale. I read it was based on a famous Turkish novel written in early 20th century. Watching Beren Saat’s acting ability in contrast with Fatmagül will be interesting.

Quote for Turkish ep #44: "The heaviest burden is a secret, love to those who can carry it." – La Fontaine
Did you call the police, Ceylin asks Arda. No, he called her instead. She takes out her phone.
Ilgaz and Eren walk down the street. Eren says Serdar had no known phone number and there are no cameras at the dump. Ilgaz notes Serdar had a drone and an obvious connection to the bus company owners. He wonders if the owners tried to get rid of Serdar. Eren thinks it’s a possibility. Serdar might have wanted money to keep quiet. Eren will take statements from them.
Yekta has brought Kerime to the station for the autopsy report. He’s representing Serdar’s mother now. After all, he was Serdar’s friend and his lawyer. Ilgaz accuses Yekta of helping Serdar while he was a fugitive, which Yekta denies.
Yekta asks if there are any suspects. Eren says no. Yekta hands Eren a list of suspects and evidence. They all visited Serdar’s home. Yekta points out it includes Tugce, Cinar, Parla and their friend, Merve. It would be a good idea to ask them why they visited Serdar’s home and have them testify. Kelime is willing to testify about their visits.
Meeting at Serdar’s hideout. Gul immediately questions Merdan. He comes clean. Serdar was already dead before they left there. He didn’t want to scare them. When I left his body at the dump, and because he was a fugitive, I thought no one would ask about him. It would be over. [that seems like a huge miscalculation for someone like Merdan]
Parla cries, they will investigate, and everyone will know what happened. Gul turns to Cinar, I wish you never called us. [viewerville agrees.] Tugce interjects, I told him we should have called Komiser Eren. Gul replies that Aylin said that, too. She said we should have stayed away. Why didn’t I listen? Cinar questions Merdan, why did you leave his body at the dump? We should have called the police or Ilgaz. They begin to argue about should’ve and could’ve.
Merdan quiets them. Let’s figure out what to do. Tugce agrees. She says what’s done is done. Our prints are all over the place. They don’t know he wasn’t killed at the dump. Merdan says someone heard the gunshot and reported it. I had to leave here, but we can clean the place now. The group is unhappy at the thought. Merdan says he could hire men, but the fewer people who know about this, the better.
Kelime signs her statement. Yekta again mentions that they should bring the others in for statements. Eren gets annoyed and Yekta hustles Kelime out of his office. Ilgaz has to admit Yekta is right about getting statements from the kids.
We see the clean up at Serdar’s hideout. Tugce brings Merdan a bag. Two guns, two shells, and a rock. Merdan says he’ll throw it in the sea. Tugce says she’ll come with him. [Merdan really did call her ‘Calamity Jane’ in the original.] They start burning evidence. Tugce asks about the money. Merdan says they need it.
Eren calls Cinar. Ilgaz calls Ceylin and tells her they have to question the kids. Ceylin calls Aylin. Aylin is home but she lies and says she is cleaning the office. Ceylin tells her that Parla has to come to the station to give a statement. She has to answer some questions about Serdar. You or Osman need to be with her. Aylin is alarmed, she questions why this needs to be done. Ceylin replies, because those idiots went to Serdar’s home and his mother mentioned it in her statement. It’s just a formality.
Ceylin tells Arda they have to leave. The police are coming, and we can’t touch anything.
Gul gets the message that Parla has to give a statement. Parla whines. Eren calls Tugce.
Rafet meets with Pars. Pars tells him a lot of information leaked about the well case. Melis Yilmaz, Neva’s name, Mehmetcan’s location. Haluk Yildirim was informed of Burak’s arrest. There’s a snitch at the station. That’s why I called you. This won’t be official but let’s find the informant. I want you to catch whoever is leaking the information, so we don’t have to open a case. Don’t worry, Rafet replies, I’ll find that snitch right away. I’ll strangle him and turn him over to you.
Derya comes in as Rafet leaves. She comments Rafet left in a storm. Where’s the fire, she asks. We’ll see, Pars replies. I think we should work with Rafet on these new cases so we can corner him.
Ozge comes in looking for Derya. There’s a new case. Derya turns to Pars, what if we ask Rafet for help? Pars says it’s perfect. He also tells her that her green (referring to her clothes) suits her.
Tugce says they can’t find Merve. This starts another argument. Merdan shuts it down. They need to stay united. Merdan gives directions and a pep talk to those who must give statements. Stay calm. You need to give the same story.
The cops start investigating Arda’s house. Arda tells a cop they had a nanny, but she quit. It was just my wife, my daughter and me. Derya shows up. Ceylin tells her Arda is an old friend and a client. I came here as soon as he called. He was in shock and couldn’t call the police. Ceylin fills her in on the details.
Eren meets Ilgaz at a restaurant. He tells the DA that the bus owners are in prison. Ilgaz wants them questioned.
Gul and Aylin bring the kids to the station. Ceylin catches up with them. Gul questions why the kids had to come. Ceylin says they are being asked to provide information. They have to talk about their time with Serdar. Ceylin asks, where’s Merve? Tugce says they had a little argument and she’s turned her phone off.
Gul asks if Ceylin will be present at the questioning. She says she can’t because Ilgaz is the DA on the case. She’s at the station on another case.
We see Merve in bed, crying. She’s got a bandage on her hand. [I didn’t notice that before]
Derya tells Pars about Arda’s case. The wife and daughter are missing, and the man claims he was just getting home. Pars says, don’t let the father go until we can confirm his alibi. Derya will get his statement. He’s a friend of Ceylin’s and she’s representing him. Pars isn’t too happy about this. He likes Ceylin but she’s a difficult lawyer to work with. Derya says no worries, I won’t go easy on her.
The kids are in with Ilgaz and Eren. Aylin is with them. Ilgaz says, in conclusion, you haven’t seen Serdar in months. Tugce confirms it. Ilgaz continues, and you were all at Ceylin’s at the time of the incident. Tugce answers yes. Ilgaz turns to Eren, did I miss anything? He says no, but he can call an expert in. Ilgaz thinks there’s no need. There’s nothing suspicious. The kids can go.
Ilgaz asks Aylin to stay behind and to have Gul come in. He asks Gul, the kids helped you between 2:30 and 3? Yes, she replies, Parla, Tugce and Merve. How else could we have made all those stuffed vegetables? I wanted to teach them and put them to work. What about Cinar, Eren asks. Parla asked him to come over, too, she says. He and Osman were at the house after doing some shopping. Everyone helped, no one went out.
Gul does a great job of answering, but Aylin looks nervous. She asks, can we go now? Eren offers them tea, but Gul declines. They leave the office and Ceylin is there. Ceylin tells them to contact Merve, she needs to give her statement. Ceylin walks the ladies out. Cinar has to stay for work.
Rafet looks suspiciously around the station. If he’s looking for a snitch, he should look in the mirror.
Ceylin calls Tolga, who is straightening up the office. Stop what you’re doing and come to the station. He tells her he’s cleaning. She thinks he’s cleaning his car. Nope, he’s cleaning the office. Ceylin thought that Aylin was there and cleaned. [Uh, oh.]
Ilgaz stops Ceylin as she walks through the station. She asks if the kids did anything stupid. No. she asks, do you have a suspect? No, but we will.
We see Rafet looking around again. He’s focusing on Umut.
Derya comes to take Arda’s statement. We don’t see it. Derya talks to Ceylin about her findings. Rafet is there, too. There are no signs of forced entry. They knew whoever broke in. There are no witnesses. The cameras had been broken for a week, so no recordings. Sevin’s phone was at the house and her car was in the garage. But the bloody print belongs to Arda.
Ceylin asks, so? Derya says that the blood belongs to a woman. Likely the wife. Rafet says perhaps the house was the scene of a crime. Isn’t it too soon to come to that conclusion, Ceylin asks. Two people are missing, and you haven’t found any bodies. We have no idea how the blood got there. Derya agrees and says that’s why they will be talking to Arda.
Ceylin asks why. Because his shoe size is the same as the kidnapper? Or murderer, as you suggest? That’s not enough. Derya says, we’re done. The evidence will be ready tomorrow. She tells Ceylin, your client will be spending the night here. Give me another reason, Ceylin replies. Rafet is enjoying this. Derya says she won’t argue this. Let’s say this is what I want.
Rafet is pleased. He tells Ceylin she’s tempting fate. You are too, Ceylin answers.
Ceylin sees the distraught Arda being brough to holding. He asks her what’s going on. She tells him there’s nothing they can do. The DA wanted this. My wife and daughter are missing, he says, I need to find them. Say something, he implores, I didn’t do anything. She assures him she will fix this tomorrow. Missing Persons are looking for Sevin and Nil. I’ll see you as soon as I get an update.
This is weird. Eren says he’s going to spend some time with Defne. She was worried when he got shot.
Goksu comes with news on the Serdar case. The blood we found was male type. The dark hair we found next to the body was female. We also found hair in his jacket zipper. It seems to belong to the same woman.
Ilcey have dinner out. Ceylin complains to Ilgaz about Derya’s attitude towards her. We had dinner the night before. Why is she treating me like a stranger? Now you know to appreciate me more, Ilgaz replies, not everyone is as well-mannered as me. Ceylin responds, need I remind you that you had me arrested twice? Ilgaz says she deserved it. He reminds her that Derya is a DA and she is a lawyer. That’s how it works.
Ceylin says she hasn’t done anything. Ilgaz adds the required “yet”. She deserved that “yet”. I understand I’ve been in trouble before, but you’ve seen how much I’ve changed. I wonder if she knows the real me. In the end, business and friendship are different matter, Ilgaz replies. They toast.
Ceylin changes the subject. She wants info on the Serdar case. That idiot killed my father and as the plaintiff, I deserve to know. Ilgaz tells her a man’s blood and a woman’s hair were found on Serdar’s body. Ceylin asks, what color? Dark. Brown or black.
Sometimes I miss you so much, she tells Ilgaz. You’re sitting across from me, but this is all we talk about. Deaths…accusations… I wonder if we will ever have normal conversations. If we talk about what to eat or where we can go to have fun at night. Can we go back to that life?
Ilgaz responds we can, so long as Death doesn’t come looking for us. [or she doesn’t kill him.] He jokes about her eating too much, she will turn into a meatball. He asks for the check. I really enjoyed this scene. It was very natural. I liked that they really ate, and not just pushed food around a plate.
Eren and Tugce eat at a less fancy establishment. She questions her dad about Serdar’s case. You have a suspect? A hypothesis? What evidence have you found? Eren asks, are we here to eat or to interrogate me? Tugce can’t let go. The deceased was someone I knew! This is the first time something like this happened to me. If you don’t explain everything, I’ll be traumatized and you’ll have to pay for my therapy.
Eren understands how she can be curious. He understands that she followed Serdar to help Parla and Cinar. But he tells her it was wrong. What if something happened to you? I’m flattered you show such interest in my work, he tells her, you have my genes. You inherited my talent. Just promise me you’ll never pretend to be a cop again. Let Komiser Eren handle it. Don’t make me worry about you.
Ilcey walk. She talks about Arda in custody and seeing Aylin. She thinks her sister is up to something. She tells Ilgaz about the lie Aylin told and says she will use her methods to find out what her sister is hiding.
Next morning, Ilcey have domestic dispute about the dry cleaning as they leave the house. Eren greets them with news. Traffic officers pulled over a suspicious person and they found money and a passport in his possession. The passport had a picture of Serdar. We see Merdan watching from the house.
Aylin complains about going to work. Gul says she has to go or else Ceylin will get more suspicious. Aylin is worried about Osman. Parla is sitting there looking like a wreck again. Osman comes out of the bedroom and promptly collapses on the floor.
Ridvan complains to Pars about Rafet. He’s been hanging around all morning and because of his rank, I can’t send him away. He asks if Rafet had anything important to say. He asked for tea, Ridvan replies, and talked about being a soldier, and officer, and a hunter. I stopped listening after a while. He had 5 cups of tea.
Rafet is waiting outside Pars’ office with the news. He found the snitch. I’m a seasoned hunter, he says, I set a trap for him. Rafet begins to blather about his exploits as a hunter and Pars shuts that down. The chief continues, I saw him meet with the press every chance he got. I watched him and also met with some of his peers. What did you find, Pars asks impatiently. Rafet says it’s Umut and he’s sure of it.
Pars tells Ridvan to get the Istanbul PD on the line. Rafet is thrilled thinking Pars swallowed it. But we hear Pars on the phone to PD—I want a detailed investigation of Rafet Gumbay. He’s the head of Homicide.
Merdan is out on the street and sees little Metin gardening in the yard. Little Gorkem is also out there. He makes a call to Ayten. There is a man that’s been hurt. You were a nurse once. Look after him. She asks, what kind of injury? GSW. Ayten replies, I hope you had nothing to do with it. Do whatever you need to do, Merdan answers. What about the child, she asks. He needs to be looked after. Metin is in the garden, he says, ask him for help.
Ayten gives Metin a story about a sick relative in the hospital. He has no one else so she needs to go. She asks if he can watch Gorkem for a couple of hours. Metin agrees. She says he will be quiet as long as he has his headphones. If he’s hungry, he knows where to get food in the kitchen.
Yekta shows up at the station and Ilgaz wants him out of there. Eren chases him out. I’m surprised Yekta left so easily.
Parla is next to her dad in bed, holding his hand. Ayten has been treating him. She says the wound is very infected. Gul asks, what do we do now? Ayten says the wound needs to be sutured and he needs antibiotics. Gul says she’ll call Aylin and have her get things from the pharmacy.
Ceylin is at the office with Aylin and Tolga. She’s spouting about Arda. I’ve known him for years. Why would he kill his wife and child? I went to the house and he was devastated. Then she complains about Derya detaining him. Tolga defends that decision saying Ceylin would do the same if she was the DA. Ceylin tells everyone to start working.
Aylin is pulled away by Gul’s call. She tries to listen in.
The suspect at the station says, I became upset when I noticed money was missing. I told him I’d keep the passport if he didn’t pay. There was a struggle and he pulled out a gun. He tried to shoot me but failed. I thought he was going to kill me. I grabbed him and strangled him. I was dizzy and upset. I used my knife to stab him several times on the shoulder. He fell to the ground. Then I took a rock and smashed him with it. And then he was dead. I panicked so I wrapped him up and left him at the dump. I regret what I did.
Ilgaz says it sounds like he regrets it. Let’s go back to the beginning. Where did you meet? At Yedikoy Beach, the suspect says. Do you remember the time? 4p. What were you wearing? The suspect pauses and asks for water.
Ceylin leaves for the station. She calls to Aylin but she doesn’t answer. Ceylin tries to catch a cab and sees Aylin leave the building. She decides to go after her sister.
Rafet returns to the station. He gets a call and asks, who should we crucify next? [Not sure about the voice. Is it Yekta?] The caller tells Rafet he’s being investigated. Rafet thinks that’s faulty info. The case was opened against an officer from my office. I’m his superior, and my case is on file, but Umut is the one under investigation.
The voice replies, sure, but the file is on you. I have it right here. AG Pars made the request himself. Rafet’s smile fades quickly. He wonders, what the hell happened?
The suspect signs his statement. Ilgaz orders Umut to take him. Ilgaz notes the statement is consistent with the findings so far. Have the team visit the scene and take a look. Have them collect a blood sample. See if it’s a match to what we found at the dump. He said he tossed the gun and the rock into the sea. Have a team look for them. Eren asks, what about the hair? Ilgaz says the suspect couldn’t explain that.
Ceylin watches as Aylin enters a pharmacy. Aylin asks for the supplies. The pharmacist asks, what kind of wound is it? Aylin says the person fell and something cut the skin. Does it matter? It’s not like it’s a bullet wound. The pharmacist says they don’t have a suture kit. If it’s that serious, go to the hospital. Aylin says they can’t go to the hospital. Just give me what you have.
Ceylin watches Aylin leave the pharmacy. She goes inside and asks about Aylin. What did that woman want? Ceylin explains she’s a lawyer handling an important case, but I don’t want the police involved. I’d appreciate your help. The pharmacist says it was ointment and gauze to clean a wound. She asked if we had a suture kit, but we don’t. What kind of wound, Ceylin asks. The pharmacist is unsure, she said someone fell and cut themselves. Then she said the person was bedridden. Ceylin sees Aylin get in a cab.
Eren tells Ilgaz the autopsy is done.
Rafet is in some abandoned building, worrying about his reputation. We see he’s talking to Yekta. Rafet says Pars found out I tipped you off. Yekta tells Rafet to calm down, there’s nothing he can do. He’s the AG! Rafet shouts, the AG! He won’t leave me alone! He’s obsessed! Find him a distraction, Yekta replies.
Yekta makes a call to Nesrin, who works at a newspaper. Feel free to write about the headline in size 72 font—“Passionate Displays of Affection at the Courthouse” The newly appointed AG and DA Derya What do you think? I’d make a great investigative reporter.
Cinar speaks with his grandfather. Yes, your man is inside. I think our plan worked. Ozgur walks up on Cinar. He says Serdar’s dead. Did you kill him? Did you shoot him? Cinar just stares at Ozgur.
Aylin comes with the supplies. Ayten says this will do for now. Gul worries, Osman is so pale. Parla worries, what if he doesn’t get better? Gul assures her it will be okay.
Ceylin burst into the room. She sees Osman in bed.
Anil explains Serdar took a big beating. Someone also tried to strangle him. The cause of death was a blow to the neck. Goksu has blood test results. The suspect’s blood does not match the blood at the dump. Ilgaz concludes the suspect is lying.
Ceylin stares at everybody and everybody stares back. We get a flashback. Merdan orders Cinar to put the gun down. Cinar shouts back, he’ll get away! We outnumber him, Merdan replies, he can’t get away. We’re not turning him in. Tugce wants to call Eren. Aylin unloads on Serdar. How could you kill my father? How could you? Damn you! Osman pulls her away.
Gul takes a turn. I have a question for you. Why? Why did you kill Zafer? You didn’t know each other. What did you want from him? Serdar answers, some things have to be done. I had to kill him, so I did. Parla starts yelling. You comforted me after my grandfather went missing! It was you! It was you! Osman tries to hold her back, but she breaks away and attacks Serdar. This allows Serdar to grab the gun from Cinar.
Serdar points the gun and warns everyone to stay back. Are you judging me, he asks. Get back! Osman tells Serdar to put the gun down. Merdan tries to calm Serdar. Serdar yells at Tugce to drop her phone. Drop it or I’ll kill you! She puts the phone in his bag. Serdar yells for everyone to put their phones in his bag. I’m going to leave now, Serdar says, and you can get back to your damn lives. Gul picks up a shovel. She bashes Serdar over the head with it. He falls. End flash.
Ceylin is waiting for an explanation. Ayten says she needs to care for Osman’s wound, the infection is severe. Ceylin doesn’t understand anything. She asks Ayten why she’s here. How do you know this address? No one answers. Ceylin threatens, either you tell me what’s going on or I swear none of you will ever walk out of here. Osman says he was shot. This is a bullet wound. Who did this to you, Ceylin asks. Osman blames Cetin.
Cinar tells Merdan that Ozgur has asked for his gun. Where is it? At the bottom of the sea, Merdan replies. I told you I would do it.
Ilgaz tells Eren, the blood we have is from whoever left Serdar at the dump. Eren says then he must have a cut on his hands or feet. Ilgaz asks, what about the kids at the site? Eren says he checked them out at the scene.
Eren and Ilgaz walk near where Cinar is talking on the phone. Cinar quickly changes the conversation to buying stuff at the market. As soon as they pass, he tells Grandpa that Ilgaz and Eren are going to question his guy again. I told you they wouldn’t fall for it!
I don’t understand why you kept this from me for so long, Ceylin says. Gul asks Ceylin to step outside and she will explain. Ceylin does not want to leave the room. She demands to know why this was kept from her. Gul asks her again to step outside.
Ceylin asks Ayten, didn’t you say you were a hairdresser? Why are you here as a nurse? No answers. Ceylin says she will find out what happened. Gul says she called Merdan and asked him for help. Merdan sent her. Let’s go outside and I’ll tell you everything.
Gul finally gets Ceylin to leave the room with her. Ceylin starts, I can’t believe you. I can’t! You’ve always been a sensible woman. [lol] You called Merdan even though you don’t really trust him, but you didn’t call me? Bravo! Aylin comes out of the room. Ceylin asks her, you knew, didn’t you? Parla comes out, too. Now I understand your strange behavior yesterday, why you burst into tears. Gul asks Ceylin to calm down and hear her out. But Ceylin asks, are you saying you forgot to mention Osman had been shot, while we talked about everything else?
Gul excuses it by saying they had a lot of people coming for dinner. We worked hard to get everything ready. I didn’t want to ruin all our efforts. I didn’t think it was a big deal. I thought we could handle it ourselves. Really, Ceylin replies, why didn’t you tell me? I should have been informed! It was all so sudden, Gul answers.
Ceylin continues, Osman was shot and almost died. You should show some concern for him and tell me about it. We had breakfast yesterday, but you still didn’t tell me. You lied to me! Gul says we couldn’t tell you at first, and then we didn’t know how to tell you.
Ceylin takes out her phone to call Ilgaz. Gul shouts, no, don’t call him! Ceylin says she’ll call and then he’ll call the police. Gul begs her not to call. Ceylin doesn’t want to hear any more. I’m done keeping secrets, she shouts. So much came out after Inci’s death! So much came out after Dad died! I don’t want a repeat of that! I never want to keep anything from Ilgaz again! Our families patched things up and we’re going to be honest.
Eren and Ilgaz pay a visit to the suspect, Mustafa. Eren tells him they know he’s lying. Ceylin calls Ilgaz but he doesn’t answer. Ilgaz asks Mustafa, what were you offered? I don’t understand, Mustafa replies. Ilgaz clarifies, what were you offered so you would take the fall? Mustafa sticks to his story.
Cinar comes down to holding and listens in. Ilgaz wants to know why Mustafa is lying. Mustafa swears he killed Serdar. Why would I want to take the fall for something I didn’t do? Ilgaz says they’re going to go to the crime scene. Show us where it is. Ilgaz asks Mustafa if he has a lawyer. He doesn’t want one. I accept what I did and accept my fate, he says.
Aylin tells Osman Ceylin is calling Ilgaz. She asks Osman to get up and do something. You just framed an innocent man. Osman gets out of bed at Aylin’s urging. Ceylin keeps calling Ilgaz but he doesn’t answer.
Osman asks Ceylin to talk for a minute. There’s a lot you don’t know. What else is there, Ceylin fires back. It was my fault, Osman says, I followed him. I got upset after seeing him around your office at night. I confronted him and attacked him. I forced him into my car and I drove to a secluded location. He became nervous. Things got tense. He shoved me. I had a small knife and cut him on the stomach. He had a gun. He pulled the trigger and it hit my arm.
Ceylin loses it. You did it all! Kidnapping, assault, threats, battery! Bravo! Way to go! I thought you were a banker but you’re a gangster. Is it me or are you all crazy? Gul asks, what’s going to happen now? Will Osman get in trouble? Of course, he will, Ceylin snaps back. He kidnapped and assaulted a man! Parla sobs, please don’t let my dad go to prison. Please don’t tell Ilgaz!
Ceylin yells, enough already!! Enough! My family is officially the worst! [that’s what I’ve said since the beginning!] A pack of lunatics! [I second that.] Are you doing this on purpose? Are you trying to drive me crazy? Aylin says they are both at fault, so don’t call Ilgaz… or the police. Don’t make matters worse. Don’t make matters worse? Ceylin says, your husband hurt a man and that man shot him. You think this isn’t a big deal?
Ceylin asks Aylin how she could trust that man (Cetin). He has a gun! How do you know he won’t hurt anyone else? What if he hurts Parla? This goes on and on and goes nowhere.
Mustafa takes them to where he killed Serdar. Ilgaz speaks with a cop at the scene. They found nothing. No blood, bullet casings, hair or signs of a struggle. A public defender shows up for Mustafa. Ilgaz asks Mustafa to show the spot where he killed Serdar. He asks Mustafa to tell his story again.
Rafet pays a visit to Pars. Derya is in the office, too. He starts talking about Arda’s case. There’s something off about his statement. He said he returned from Izmir and that when he arrived that morning, his wife and daughter were missing. I called the hotel where he was staying. He didn’t leave in the morning. Derya asks, so what did he do that morning? Rafet replies, I’d like to review his GPS records, if you don’t mind.
Pars says if Arda is lying, he should be questioned again. Derya tells Rafet to bring Arda. She asks Rafet if they know anything about the wife and daughter. He says Missing Persons is handling that. It’s not his case.
Derya lets him have it. You were at a possible crime scene. Didn’t we both agree on that? You’re also overseeing that case. We need to find that woman and child now. Where are they? Who saw them last? Don’t make me tell you how to do your job, or we won’t get along.
Rafet leaves and Derya says she has a bad feeling about him. Pars tells her he’s having Rafet investigated.
Yekta is setting up his new law office. Aysun is back with him. He’s insufferable as usual. She finally tells him her name is Aysu… not Aysun…. There’s no “n”. He replies, it sounds incomplete. Aysun is better. The letter “n” suits you. He laughs.
Yekta asks for a report from Ozgur. Ozgur says that Cinar didn’t use the gun he gave him. I asked him to return it. He said Serdar’s killed had been caught. He confessed and is in prison. Yekta laughs, do you think the hawk-eyed DA and his trusty inspector sidekick will fall for that? They’re so blind to what is going on around them, they don’t realize how the tables were turned.
It takes skill to propel a well-crafted lie forward, Yekta tells Ozgur. Their stupidity will get the best of them as usual. I go check on their efforts and have fun watching them fail.
Ceylin leaves the house and Gul follows her out. For the love of God, please listen to me. Why should I listen, Ceylin asks. We’ve patched things up with that family, Gul says, we’re finally getting along. If you tell Ilgaz what happened, what we kept from him, how will I ever be able to face him?
Is that what worries you, Ceylin asks. That man has a gun. I know Aylin is stupid, but aren’t you worried Cetin could hurt someone?
Gul says that won’t happen. He told Osman if he didn’t report it, he wouldn’t either. He’d forget about Aylin. Osman wants to put an end to this. If it wasn’t for this, Aylin wouldn’t have left this man. I’ll talk to Osman and Aylin. I’ll reprimand them so they won’t get into trouble again. I promise. This isn’t any of our business. Drop it.
And we are out.
Thanks again, dondi. That was a very complicated episode, and your hard work is much appreciated. I've said it before; the bits and pieces coming out in flashbacks annoy me.
Eren said it out loud in his hospital bed: "Yekta!" Whenever there's something foul going on, he's right there. I was gripped by the episodes dealing with Burak and his crimes, but I am starting to tire of Yekta everywhere all at once (a bit like that movie that won the Academy Award).
Yes, if only Merdan had taken Serdar's body somewhere and burned it up!
Pars telling Derya that Ceylin is a difficult lawyer to deal with: Amen!
Gul does a great job with the kids' alibis, but Aylin always looks like a deer in the headlights.
I am pretty sick of Parla. Everything would have gone differently if the whiny brat hadn't charged at Serdar. The dark hair (female) near or on Serdar's body is probably hers.
Eren and Tugce are the bright lights in this one. I loved her telling him he'd have to pay for therapy if he didn't fill her in.
Rafet picks the best, steadiest regular cop, Umut, to blame for the leaks. If he had a brain he'd choose someone less important to the force.
Why don't they ever say what's wrong with Gorkem with the 24/7 headphones?
I missed Eren saying that someone probably had a wound on their hand. Please, please, let this lead to Yekta.
I was tired of born-again Ms. Honesty railing at her family. It was definitely "Ceylin goes on and on" time.
Gracias, Dondi. So many different conversations. Thanks for weaving the thread between all of them clearly.
Ceylin yells, enough already!! Enough! My family is officially the worst! [that’s what I’ve said since the beginning!] A pack of lunatics! [I second that.]
I felt so sorry for Ceylin burdened with this family. Will she tell Ilgaz all, or keep the lies going?
On the Arda case, I did get a kick out of Ceylin being frustrated with Derya for doing her job. You go Derya. You let no one compromise you.
Pars isn't too shabby either, not taking Rafet's bait.
So many complicit in Serdar's death. Who will be the first to crack? Who will actually serve time for the crime?
I hate seeing Ilgaz and Eren in the dark. They are too smart for this.
Thank you, dondi356.
I am looking forward to seeing Rafet exposed. He only made Pars suspect more when he pointed to Umut as the mole.
Cinar and Gul are the two people most responsible for Serdar's murder. They should go to prison before they make things even worse and drag everyone else with them.
Thank you novelera, Niecie and Lucio.
I’ve been sick of Parla ever since she sabotaged her swimming teammate and took PEDs. And it’s only been downhill from there.
“Yekta everywhere all at once (a bit like that movie that won the Academy Award).” Lol, novelera! It’s worse now that Haluk is paying him to do it full time. "Yekta!" should be another quote, in addition to “...goes on and on”
Ceylin is difficult to deal with—period! Yes, she went “on and on” against her “officially the worst” family. I gave her a bit of a pass this time. But I’m a little short of feeling sorry for her like you, Niece.
I guess they assume we understand what Gorkem’s issues are. Maybe they will talk more about it when the opportunity presents itself.
“So many complicit in Serdar's death. Who will be the first to crack? Who will actually serve time for the crime?” Great questions, Niecie. Parla and Merve are in bad shape. Aylin isn’t far behind. Gul and Tugce are strong. Merdan and Cinar are old pros at this. Osman’s just a dope.
“Cinar and Gul are the two people most responsible for Serdar's murder.” They might be, Lucio. But I thought I remember someone telling Merve she shouldn’t have hit Serdar with the brick. Those flashbacks went by so quick and choppy. I wouldn’t mind seeing Gul in jail. She’d terrorize all the inmates. This would be the third time Cinar gets blamed for a murder.
I’m barely halfway through Tuesday’s episode and I can’t finish it until much later today. I won’t be able to get a recap done. I’m hoping a discussion will do the trick and I’ll catch up to you when I can. The next 3 eps are 1 hour, so I should be able to do those. So sorry.
Sorry, I'll have to withdraw my offer to put up a quickie. I started it, got to the scene where Metin takes the little boy with problems to a store and my TV stopped having audio AND captions. I have no idea what's going on. I turned it off. This is a busy day for me as tonight starts my fall quarter of Advanced Spanish. I need to do some preparation for the class and won't have time to do even a quickie on my computer since that won't let me FF to just put up highlights.
Novelera: Will the new upcoming Telenovela starring William Levy & Samadhi Zendejas replace "SERCETS" ?
