Based on the recap not too eventful of an episode but it sounds like the opening of Lisa's room would have been heartwarming minus Gracie and Lilian...

Although, and I hate to defend Lilian, but I thought it was actually kind of harsh for David to tell her that Lisa's things were only a concern for him and his children and she had no reason to be concerned with it. I mean, ultimately, it is true but it's insensitive. He could have at least asked her if there was any particular thing of Lisa's that she might want. It's ironic that the 1,000 or so times since this started when he should have put Lil in her place he didn't; but now when it's insensitive and harsh he finds his backbone.

On the recap page they were debating whether or not Lilian and Gracie would ultimately be each other's end or anvil... I think that would be fitting.

It's sounds like Fern is starting to genuinely like Luci, poor Gracie, lol NOT!!! I think it is going to be fun to watch him unravel!
 

I meant...it will be fun to watch Gracie unravel. My nephew distracted me and I typed what I was saying instead of what I was thinking and intending. lol

SpanProf, I hope you are doing well! I will be flying all day today and am already dealing with flight delays so I likely won’t be commenting again until some time tomorrow for today’s episode.

As far as yesterday’s it was pretty ho-hum I think. The big development was David telling the kids he is getting a new girlfriend but he didn’t name her. Gracie is about to lose it! I am looking forward to getting home and watching it for real!
 

Vino. Oops! My comments on yesterday's county highway tour that only allowed me to see the 2nd half of episode 81 appear to have gotten lost somewhere. I agreed with you about David's being too harsh with Lilian about Lisa's things, and commented that episode 80 seemed to be a lot of conversations about events that had already taken place--again, a lot like the soap operas my grandmother used to watch in the 50s and 60s. Regarding yesterday's episode: Yep, yada yada: still a lot of repetition in this episode. Fer doesn't seem to think that her father has the same right to happiness that she does. If her grades and exam scores aren't high enough, she could always go to Santa Rosa JC with Tano and then both of them could transfer to Sonoma State after getting an A.A. In the recap, Gracie "helps" her (Fer) should be in quotes. For financial reasons, some of my siblings followed that path (though schools other than Sonoma State for professional or work reasons, e.g. a specific major) and it worked out well for them.

I ended up with 5 different flight delays and missed all connections and had to rebook. I will be flying all day tomorrow too! I will catch up with you on Friday!
