Well I wouldn't say we had much action today but there were some cute moments - ie. another misunderstanding between Sonia and her Lion Cub! It's cute how Leon is getting almost confident in his interactions with Sonia. When he smiled all encouraging and told her to come out with he almost had swag!! LOL

Gut has no swag, and no intelligence! I finally decided today that is his problem, he is just really incredibly stupid! And not even just for his endless back in forth between Lil and Marta but because he actually thinks the solution to some press calling him a racist is to hold a charity event for Latinos??? He's made it all the way to sheriff and he hasn't garnered enough political savvy to realize that's going to make him look like more of a tool??? Ever heard to protesting too much, Gut?? I am so done with this fool.

There was a lot of talk on the original recaps about the chemistry or lack thereof between Gabe Soto and Irina Baeva which cracks me up knowing that they are now engaged or already married if the rumors are true. They weren't together when this was filmed though so maybe that was the issue, real life feelings making things uncomfortable. That's if they were, honestly, I don't detect the same lack of chemistry but maybe I am just not watching all that closely. LOL

I think Fer and Tano together is good...Fer is bratty but she seems to genuinely care for Tano and he seems less intense with her. I think Miguel and Erika together is a mistake...you don't make yourself move on! It's a role reversal of Miguel and Luci with Erika (Miguel) being super ready to go while Miguel (Luci) is unsure and uncertain. My guess is it will work out as will as Miggy and Luci worked out! But then maybe I am just grumpy today or something? Go Love!! LOL

Surprised they didn't do a crossover Telenovela with Sonia & Lion Cub because it would've been interesting.

Vino. Oh, I don't know, Darcy. I kind of enjoyed the scene between Erika and Miguel, when he decided to give their relationship a chance. He seems much happier now, and we've already seen that they have a lot of common interests. I did worry a bit that there might end up being something between Tano and Carito at some point, but maybe he was just being charitable. I hope Tano does end up going to community college. His reviewing his textbooks, notes, etc., from his previous classes is a good sign. It's kind of interesting that the women in this novela in several cases have more formal education than the men. And yes, Gutierrez is behaving like an idiot. Of course, he deserves some punishment for the way he's been behaving all novela long.

You know SpanProf, I admit Miguel actually has a certain charm when he's with Erika....I don't what it is, maybe it's just that we are only at episode 86 I believe, and I've never seen a novela triangle that ended 40ish episodes before the final; maybe it's because they previously mentioned a serious illness of Erika's that I fear was mentioned for a reason; or maybe it's just because I don't like or trust Miguel but I just don't see this ending in HEA.

Speaking of a certain charm, I once again noticed this about Leon with Sonia. The way he blushed when Sonia and Marta were talking about him, the way he kissed her hand it was just adorable!!! I have always been attracted to expressive faces. Leon hasn't been expressive until now and especially with all the tall handsome men around him he's been easy to overlook but this new personality is very appealing.

Okay, my pet-peeve in movies, tv shows, etc; when a man pours a woman a nice glass of wine and then takes it away from her after one sip so they can get busy! Either let her drink her wine or don't pour the wine in the first place!!! Petty I know, but apparently I'm feeling petty this week. Anyway, Luci and David make it to his bed and they even get in and out without being caught but then Dumb Dave goes and tells Gracie about his relationship!!!! Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb. Why would you tell a jealous harpy BEFORE you tell your children? Oh, because you are in a novela... sorry I forgot for a minute.

The Gracie and Luci showdown and slap was great!!!! One thing though, Gracie looked goulish in that celler lighting. I have thought since the beginning that they kept her dramatically pale with that red lipstick to make her look older since that actress is so much younger than the character she's playing, but it just didn't work in that scene - she looked green! That said, Kimberly dos Ramos's acting is spot on!!! She is getting crazier and crazier with every day and her facial expressions are fantastic!!!

Ceasar got rejected again :(
 

Vino. Totally agree about David and Graciela, Darcy! And Graciela has actually announced to Luciana that she will be up to evil. Our best hope is that at some point Fer realizes what a diabolical person her aunt is. I'm assuming we'll wait till the end of the novela before people (other than Juan) learn that Graciela was responsible for her sister's death. And now it looks as if Juan and Gutierrez will be in league. What could possibly happen? Cesar may have been rejected (sort of), but it looks as if long-term things are looking up for him and Susan. Too bad she ran off before they could go to the police in person about Mark. And who is Lilian to dictate whom David's household employees can date?
