Thanks for your recap, Carmella. I hope you see my comment today because the new page will come up in around 2 hours.

Yes, these writers do it to us again. It's always an exercise in frustrating the main characters from finding out what they need to know until the last week. Santiago, of course, calls his father who, of course, is sitting with Braulio to foil Santiago's getting the truth out of Gaitan. I have zero confidence he'll get anything out of him tonight. Probably Tigre will shoot him.

I'm not liking what the writers are doing with Violeta. Santiago approached her to give her her father's letter. We don't know why she's so against contact with him. But, being kindhearted, he listened to her plea for a job and got her one. Now she says "he's mine". Only in a telenovela.

Yes, Martha should realize that part of Braulio and Amalia reconciling was his agreeing to adopt. And now she's suddenly all concerned about this young woman and putting a spoke in the wheel of what her DIL wants? Only in a telenovela. And I'm totally sick of Martha and ready to FF every scene she's in.

Wow, now Fausto is turning into an abuser of Consuelo. And the writers must have read the symptoms of an abuser: victim can't go anywhere unless he approves it and usually must accompany her.

Also it looks like the social worker is going to arrange for Andres to be transferred to Mexico City. Poor Diego.

Tigre and Braulio arrive just in time to convince Gaitan to keep his mouth shut. Gaitan is hauled off to prison and everyone is congratulating Santi on his innocence. Martha is still unsure, but eventually relents and offers one of her never ending tearful moments. She’s such a Debby downer that even poor Debby is sick of her! I know I am!! Braulio also visits Gaitan in prison and convinces him to plead guilty……

Diego and Andres make up. Andres admits that he was just mad and that’s why he said all those hurtful things.

Santi takes some coffe to share with Nuria, but she shuts him down and says that they should have a boss/ employee relationship only. Santi has that “what did I do” look on his face. Earlier Nuria face timed Chelo and told her she met someone she liked but that he’s a flirt so it’s not going to go anywhere.

We get a 3 month time jump and Amelia is spending time with Andres who has been transferred to Mexico City. You can tell that their relationship is really close and he’s very fond of her. She then gets a call that Mariana is in labor and rushes off to the hospital. Her and Braulio are there and cheering Mariana on to push although that “one, two, three” push thing is not how it works in the real world, lol. Anyhoo, Mariana has a beautiful baby girl, and Amelia is beyond overjoyed. Mariana, however, starts to have all these thoughts, feelings and emotions and yells at them to give her back her daughter. She decides to keep her daughter and is truly remorseful to Amelia, but of course Braulio is angry and ready to make Mariana hold up her side of the contract.

Santi pays a visit to Nuria because he can’t help himself and they get to talking and admit that they like one another, and that neither Lianna nor Violetta are his “novia’s.” It starts to rain, they go inside to have coffee, and Nuria shares with Santi how much Andres loved the rain. Nuria says that she feels very comfortable talking to Santi about Andres. She then gets a call from Esmeralda and is very worried when the call abruptly ends……

Diego’s name is cleared, he’s got a job and is selling his paintings so he goes to social worker chick to resubmit his paperwork to adopt Andres. Social worker chick appears very helpful, but doesn’t think that Diego still has a chance in hell of getting Andres….

Fausto is pushing marriage——like really pushing——but Chelo is not feeling it at all. Plus her and Jacinto have their own telenovela song now, lol. Chelo says she’s been busy with exams and school, but Fausto tells her that marrying him is more important than her becoming a nurse and threatens, again, that he will tell Nuria the truth of Chelo’s part in Andres kidnapping. He wants lots of kids with Chelo so that they can forget about Andres——-yuck! Kids with that psycho!!!

Amelia, although broken hearted has a heart to heart with Mariana, and says she understands. I feel so bad for Amelia. Braulio, otoh, is in full dragon fire breathing mode and ready for a fight……..

I am glad that Santi told Nuria that neither Violeta nor Liana were his novias. He seems smitten . Now we will see where Andres up ..Perhaps with Amelia?

I am happy to see the discussion still going for this show! I haven't read any of the recaps for this week yet but I appreciate them! I am still watching, I was hoping to catch up by now but several real-life circumstances have been in the way of that and I am only up to episode 7 or 8. Hopefully I'll have time to catch up over the weekend.

I will say much about the plot since I'm several episodes behind but I wanted to say that the actor playing Fausto is creepy and it might just be outstanding acting but I've seen him previously in a good guy role and I found him creepy in that too! LOL

The little boy playing Andres is adorable! I would line up to adopt him too!! :)

I love Diego! But then I just plain love Christian de la Campa, he was the draw for me in wanting to watch this. He's a very talented actor and a handsome man. I first saw him as Samuel Gallardo in Tierra de Reyes and I became a devoted fan during that show. I've watched pretty much everything he's done ever since, even when I didn't particularly like the overall show; definitely one of my favs!

Ilgaz tries to wake Defne and carries her out of the freezer. An ambulance is on its way. They take off Defne’s wet coat. Ilgaz put his around her. He tells her she will be home soon. Grandpa misses you. She asks for her Dad. Ilgaz says, Dad is fine, he’s waiting for you. They don’t want to wait for the ambulance. When Eren arrives, they take her in the cop car.

Pars arrives at the morgue. Derya and Ozge are right behind. Ozge runs to Pars—Sir, please tell me it’s not him! She cries and begs, say it isn’t so! Tell me it’s not Ridvan! Pars is silent, he can’t even look at her. I want to see him, Ozge shouts, I want to check for myself!

Ilcey try to keep Defne warm and awake on the way to the hospital.

Cinar is worried about Metin. Gul comforts him. Tugce asks what happened. Did he ask about Defne? Did you tell him? [she’s going to make a great cop or a lawyer one day.] Cinar admits he did a stupid thing and told his father about Defne. Gul wonders, good God, how could you do that? [thank you, Gul.] You should have told him she was with Merdan.

Certified Idiot Aylin pipes up, you did the right thing. He was going to find out anyway. Wouldn’t it be worse to find out when he got home? It’s better to tell the truth, than to have him hear it from someone else. [spare me.]

A doctor walks by with a nurse. He tells the nurse, I was called to the ER. A girl is being rushed over. Everyone follows the doctor.

Defne is brought into the hospital. Ilgaz places her in an ER bed. Celyin has to pull him away so they can work. Cinar and the rest show up. Did you find her? We did.

Ozge, Derya and Pars make it down that long hallway to the morgue. Ozge turns to Derya, is Ridvan inside? Pars has to lean on the wall. Ozge goes inside. We hear her scream and wail. Derya reaches out to Pars. He looks numb. He tells her, I let Ridvan go. If I hadn’t, he wouldn’t have died. If I waited for the officer, he wouldn’t have been killed. If I hadn’t spoken to the press, he wouldn’t have been killed. This is my fault. Derya says, let’s not talk about this now.

Omer has invited Yekta and Lacin to dinner to celebrate his first paycheck. Yekta is thrilled. You chose a nice place, he says. Lacin is surprised Omer knew this place. They are known for the best lasagna in Turkey. Let’s see if that’s still true.

The menus arrive and Omer decides to initiate a little dinner talk. Ridvan and Selim are dead, he says without looking up from his menu, they were killed. Lacin and Yekta are stunned. Omer continues, Selim was released after being taken to the station. He was later found in Umraniye. Gun, single bullet, execution style. Yekta looks sick. Lacin asks, who is Selim?

Omer has more. AG Pars had Ridvan stand in for Selim in a transfer vehicle. The vehicle was ambushed and Ridvan was shot. He closes the menu and says, I’ll order the lasagna, since it’s the best in the country.

Lacin says she’s lost her appetite. She asks Yekta, isn’t Ridvan courthouse staff? Yekta tells Omer he should order his food to go. Are we going to eat after our client has been killed? Omer tells Lacin to order for herself and let him get the bill. [Is she finally catching on that Omer is not normal?]

The doc tells Ilgaz that Defne is fine. She’s strong, otherwise she wouldn’t have survived. She made it to the hospital in the nick of time. Ilgaz asks if there will be lasting damage. Doc says no, and they are treating her with antibiotics as a precaution. She needs time to rest, you can see her later.

 

secrets #105 part 2

Tugce tells Cinar to call Merdan, while Ilgaz goes to check on Metin. Grandpa is so overjoyed he can’t speak. Cinar says things are getting better. Take care of them, Merdan replies, bring them home safe and sound. End call. Merdan looks up and says, my health is in your hands. No matter what you decide, I’ll accept it. I’m ready whenever you are.

Ilgaz enters Metin’s room, sits on the bed and takes his father’s hand. Metin wakes up. Ilgaz… Defne… Cinar said she’d been kidnapped. I found her, Ilgaz replies, she’s okay. I’ll bring her soon.

Pars calls Eren. Eren jumps right into an update. They found Defne. And Metin was moved to a private room. We have plenty of good news. The smile fades from Eren’s face. What did you say? What do you mean it’s not all good? Hello… AG Pars? What happened to Ridvan? What do you mean, we lost him?

Pars comes to the station and speaks to Rafet. How many members of the gang did you detain? We’re going to question them all. I’ll personally see each one. Pars says we’re looking for a guy named Cezik.

Defne is in Metin’s bed. Metin looks very good. Defne just lies there, she’s traumatized. Cinar talks about extra blankets and pillows. Ceylin tells Defne she can shower if she wants. I can go home and get you clean clothes. No response from Defne. Ceylin offers to read a book to her. Defne doesn’t answer. She shoots Ceylin a quick look, then looks away again.

Ilgaz tells his dad, the doctors want a few more tests and if everything looks good, you will both be discharged. Ilgaz gets up and gives Defne a kiss on the forehead. Don’t you miss the house? No response. Cinar adds, Grandpa really misses you a lot. Boncuk [the cat] misses you too. Still no response from Defne.

Ceylin gets ready to leave. She says goodbye to Defne. Metin asks her what happened with the soccer player. Ceylin tells him it’s on hold. She asks Ilgaz to step out with her for a moment. Ceylin says she’s very worried about Defne. She’s so still, she’s not talking. She doesn’t react. Ilgaz is worried too. It’s terrible to be held somewhere, she says, not knowing if you’ll be hurt. I speak from experience. She’s very young. She should see a specialist. Ilgaz says he already contacted someone.

Ilgaz asks her if she’s going to her office. Yes, she replies, but she’ll change first and then she will check on Pars. Have you talked to him? Ilgaz says no, I called him, but he didn’t answer. I spoke to Eren and called Ozge, but her mother was the one who answered the phone. She was given a sedative.

Ceylin says she doesn’t understand what happened. Ilgaz explains that Selim was escorted out the back and taken to the station. The judge became ill and his hearing was postponed. The press hounded Pars, asking if Selim had been released. Did the press know he left? Someone tipped them off, Ilgaz replies. [“Yekta!” using Gulcin.] Pars said Selim was still inside to silence them. [We know the rest, so I won’t repeat it.]

Ceylin can’t believe it. Ilgaz assumes they were ambushed by the Mafia. The plan was to kill Selim. Ridvan took Selim’s place. He was a great guy. A pure and vibrant soul. He didn’t deserve to die like that, and so soon.

Is human life worth so little, Ceylin asks? Life is cruel and unfair. He didn’t deserve it. I’m so sorry, she says, and they hug. Ilgaz tells her, I don’t think I could have done this if you weren’t with me. You would have, she replies. We’ll talk later.

 

secrets #105 part 3

Pars questions Dimitry. He says he knows nothing. Pars tells him they’ll stay in the room an extra hour every time he says that. Now… what do you know? Who is Cezik? Where can I find him? Dimitry’s not talking. Add another hour, Pars says. Dimitry answers, I don’t want to die. If I talk, I’m dead. You’re going to talk, Pars insists.

Here’s what we’ll do, Pars says, give me Cezik, and I’ll put you in the witness protection program. No one will find you. I’m the AG and I can have that done right now. Dimitry is skeptical. You can keep me safe just like you kept my brother safe? Ivan died here, surrounded by cops! Is that your protection? Pars replies, your brother killed himself. Maybe you killed him, Dimitry answers.

Rafet gets angry. What the hell are you talking about? Pars tells him to back off. Dimitry sets the terms. Give me my brother’s killer and I’ll give you Cezik. Rafet grabs Dimitry’s shoulder. You’re negotiating? I ought to hang you! Pars tells Rafet to let go. He tells Dimitry, we have video that shows your brother took an officer’s gun and killed himself. I don’t need your recording, Dimitry replies, maybe you edited it. Bring me his murderer.

Ilgaz speaks with a specialist about Defne. She’s consulted with her doctor but hasn’t had the chance to speak with Defne yet. She says, from your description, she was scared and anxious. But now she’s back with us, Ilgaz notes. The doc answers, your description of how she was found suggests a traumatic experience.

Ilgaz asks, what do we do? She’s not speaking or responding to what we say. That’s normal, the doc replies, but we will find a way to erase the effects of the trauma and help her feel safe again. I’d like to meet Defne and observe her. My priority is establishing a bond with her and making sure she feels safe. After that we can work out a therapy plan.

Can you explain how to behave and what to avoid so we don’t hinder the process, Ilgaz asks. The doc says, family support is important. Don’t ask her anything that will bring back memories of what happened. I know there’s an open investigation, but please be patient. We’ll keep in touch. She just needs to know her family supports her. Don’t ask questions and don’t make her talk about it.

Ilgaz has to leave. He tells Metin that there are officers around and Cinar is still there. He tells Defne that the hospital psychologist is coming to speak with her. You can talk to her, okay? I met her and she’s very sweet. Defne says okay.

Cinar is on the phone with Merdan. Ilgaz passes by and Cinar stops him, Grandpa wants to speak with you. Grandpa is making soup for Defne. I have something to tell you, he says, I’ve been thinking. We’ve been through some terrible things. We almost suffered terrible losses. These men are dangerous.

Ilgaz asks, and so? And you should listen to your grandfather and step down, Merdan replies, we should avoid repeating our mistakes and avoid danger. Yes, it’s important to be faithful to what you believe, but sometimes for your family’s sake, you need to give up your beliefs and yourself. It’s time you do that.

Ilgaz gives Merdan an earful. As a prosecutor, I should let criminals and murderers do whatever they want? I’ll cower and hide and wait to see what happens next? The same goes for the guys who killed our friend. We should let Ridvan’s killer go free.

Grandpa has to take the phone away from his ear. Ilgaz continues, will that make you happy? Is that what’s best? Won’t you be ashamed to call me your grandson DA? Merdan answers, I said what I had to say. Listen to me this once and trust my experience. The more you interfere, the more this will escalate. Think about that. Merdan hangs up.

Cinar starts in. You’re going to give up, right? Stop this, Ilgaz. Defne and Dad are back with us. We’ve been through so much. Ridvan was killed. But will you continue to go after those murderers while we worry about you? Ilgaz replies, the people who stabbed Dad, kidnapped Defne, don’t you want to see them beg for mercy? If criminals aren’t punished, won’t you wonder if there is justice in this country? Stop talking nonsense and mind your own business. Stay with Defne and Dad. He walks away.

Tolga brings Ceylin tea. He tells her that she looks awful and maybe she should rest before coming back to work. She knows. But when my head hits the pillow, I can’t sleep. My mind races after everything I’ve seen. So I work. Let’s start with the abusive coach. And she advises Tolga, no matter what, never tell a woman she looks awful. Free advice from a friend.

Tolga hands over details from Zehra’s case. He hasn’t been able to schedule a meeting with Aydin yet. But here’s his address. There’s no practice today. Ceylin says, we’ll have some coffee and I’ll pay him a visit.

Dimitry has his head down on the table. Rafet is yawning. Pars is looking at them through the glass. Rafet exits the room and says to Pars, I should get him something to eat. At least some water, or he won’t be able to talk. Not a drop, Pars replies, until we learn who Cezik is. Pars walks away.

Yekta is at the station, and he jumps out of his seat to follow Pars. My condolences, AG Pars. I’m sorry for your loss. I remember Ridvan fondly. He was too young. May God give patience to us all. I hate to bother you, but can you explain what happened? Hakki Bey is devastated. You can understand his grief. He lost Selim.

Do you think I’m oblivious, Pars asks. Of course not, Yekta replies, I know you’re following the case closely. I noticed something was going on at the courthouse. His hearing was left until the end of the day and then Chief Rafet escorted him away. Your decisions and instructions led to several disasters. For instance, Selim, uh I mean, Ridvan… poor Ridvan…

Pars grabs Yekta by the collar. What are you insinuating? Allah aşkına, do you realize what you are saying? Yekta answers, my client was in your custody and then he was found dead. Will you explain what happened or do we fill in the blanks? I’ll explain, Pars replies, get out! Yekta lets it go for now and says, I’ll suppose you’re grieving over Ridvan.

Eren walks over and gives Yekta a dirty look. He tells Pars we have the search order. Let’s go. Yekta gathers Omer and Hakki. It’s your turn now. They hurry out, too.
Eren gives the update to Ilgaz. We’re going to search Selim’s house. Pars requested it. Ilgaz says he’ll go too. Good idea, Eren says, Pars isn’t thinking clearly. He’s being careless.

Ceylin drives up to the gated community where Aydin lives. She identifies herself to the guard and says she’s there to see Aydin and Rengin. He calls Aydin, who says he doesn’t know Ceylin. Ceylin calls out, I was mediating his case with Muhsin. He knows me. Tell him it’s important. Aydin says to let her in.

Ceylin meets the couple. Aydin tells her the case was closed. I don’t need a lawyer. Ceylin replies, I’m actually here to talk about a case I said was closed. I’m here to talk about Muhsin. Rengin puts her head down. Aydin repeats, the case is closed. There’s nothing to discuss. Ceylin says, I know why you got into a fight with him.

Aydin and Rengin look at each other. Aydin gets up and tells Ceylin to get out. Rengin grabs his arm, Aydin don’t be ridiculous. Calm down. Aydin says the case is closed, we won. That bastard quit and left. Get out of my house!

Ceylin explains that Rengin wasn’t Muhsin’s only victim. This woman and her family aren’t as powerful as you. She’s a florist. Aydin doesn’t care. That’s her problem. Don’t do this, Ceylin pleads, she’s a victim, too. She won’t be the first or last. She wanted to press charges, but he threatened her. He threatened to have her fired. Aydin still wants Ceylin to leave. Ceylin mentions the landlord and the eviction. No one helped her, not even her parents. But if you help us, and if Rengin speaks out, we can…

Speak out? Aydin asks, speak out about what? I asked you to leave! He tries to grab Ceylin. Rengin stops Aydin. He tells his wife to stay out of this. I have a career to protect, he says, I worked hard to get where I am. It’s over!

He pushes Ceylin. She shouts—enough! Don’t touch me! “My career, my career!” How much do you value money and fame? So you gave him a beating and it was over? He quit, so we ignore what he did? Got it! How can you accept what he did to your wife? Aren’t you ashamed? There are many other victims! But you only think of yourself.

Ceylin turns to Rengin. You seem more reasonable and kinder. I know this is difficult, but you can’t stay silent. If you think about it, you’ll agree with me. Here’s my card. Call me. You don’t need anyone’s permission to call me. See you soon. Ceylin heads for the door. Aydin yells after her. Rengin calms him down.

The search is on at Selim’s house. Gulcin’s husband (I can’t remember his name) says, we’re ruined. It’s terrible. This isn’t our fault. Yekta tells Omer, why doesn’t anyone shut him up? No one is listening to him. Omer says the man doesn’t know what happened. His situation is pitiful. His wife is in jail, his nephew is dead.

Yekta is disgusting. He laughs, his wife and his nephew… yes, that must be hard. Omer says the man is desperate so he’s making a scene. Yekta says what’s going on is the embodiment of desperation. They hope to find what Selim was hiding. [flash drive. Omer has that.]

Eren walks through. Search the outlets and under the carpets. Search everywhere. Yekta asks him, have you found anything? Not yet, Eren replies, but we are still looking. Pars arrives. He tells Eren to seize every tablet, computer, and cell phone. Yekta feels the need to interject something about the humble abode having lots of tablets.

Eren tells Pars that they found a laptop and a broken tablet. They are on their way to the station. Selim’s father’s and Uncle’s phones were also taken.

Ilgaz arrives at Selim’s house. Hakki is speaking to a man. We unknowingly got into trouble. Now my brother and I are alone. May God grant you patience, the man replies, it’s difficult. Especially if you were slandered. Hakki answers yes.

Ilgaz gives Hakki his condolences. Hakki says, we told you everything. There’s nothing to add. Ilgaz thinks there’s more to talk about. Are you going to keep silent? If you told me who they were, your son would still be alive. The people you protect, killed Selim. They also killed a colleague who did nothing wrong. If we don’t catch them and bring them to justice, they will continue to get away with it. You or someone you know could be next.

Hakki swears he knows nothing. In that line of business, you never meet the boss. Selim didn’t just stumble upon the job. We were recommended by a friend. Ilgaz says, start with that, I’ll do the rest. Hakki replies, if I knew his name, I’d tell you. I was hired as a guard to keep up appearances. I had no responsibilities or duties.

Hakki admits, I knew they gambled, I knew it was illegal. Selim went inside and took what he had learned to the grave. [but he put it on a flash drive first.] Ilgaz asks, did anyone come looking for Selim? Did they call or give you a warning? Hakki says he doesn’t know.

 

secrets #105 part 6

Pars comes outside and wants to speak with Ilgaz. Ilgaz gives condolences to Pars and asks him if he has a name. That’s no longer your business, Pars replies. Ilgaz doesn’t understand. Spend time with your father and your sister, Pars tells him. You’ve been through a lot. Heal your wounds. Ilgaz thanks him for thinking about him and his family, but he says they are fine. I can care for them and work.

Pars puts it bluntly—I took you off the case. Ilgaz asks why. You’ve suffered enough, Pars replies. I’m not the problem, Ilgaz says, they will go after whoever chases them. I know where I stand and I’m going to finish what I started. Pars stands firm, what don’t you understand? You’re off the case.

And we are out.

Susan, “hot pants girl” is one of the residents in tha apartment building….. I forget her name….as far as I understand, she works at a bar and does “other” things to make money…….

Dondi, thanks for the recaps. Your coverage of these last episodes, utterly wrenching, has been stellar.

I am floored by the murder of Ridvan. I hadn't picked up on the foreshadowing.

This dizi is putting Pars through the wringer. Loss and guilt shrouds.

Cinar is almost comic relief with his stupidity. Suddenly he can't lie and tell his dad Defne is safe and sound?

With Ridvan's death, I could hardly focus on Defne's rescue.

Pars pulls rank, Ilgaz is off the case. He sends his driver away and takes the car.

Ceylin complains about Aydin to Tolga.

Pars calls Ceylin. She’s glad he called. Let me come to see you. Are you at court? Don’t come, he replies, I’m coming to see you. Meet me at your office. No one else, just us.

The search is over at Selim’s place. Yekta asks Eren, what were you looking for and what did you find? Can I know as the family’s attorney? Eren’s not saying. Yekta presses. We have a right. Who killed Selim? Eren says they’re still investigating. We haven’t found enough to be able to tell you. Eren walks.

Yekta complains to Omer about the lack of info. AG Pars and DA Ilgaz have lost a lot. They have weakened. I know them well. They won’t stop until they find the culprit. That’s why, dear Omer, we are going upstairs to question Hakki and increase the pressure. What the hell did Selim hide and where can we find it if there is such a thing. [flash drive!] Knowledge is power.

Ilgaz comes to see Derya. I was at Ozge’s, she says. Ilgaz says he’s going later. Don’t, Derya tells him, she’s not well. They gave her something so she could sleep. I’m heartbroken, Ilgaz notes, life isn’t fair. Derya agrees. She asks about Defne and Metin. Ilgaz says they will recover. Thank God.

Derya asks about Pars. Ilgaz tells her that Pars took him off the case. He asks if she knows why. She has no idea. He’s not well, she says, he feels guilty. He told the press Selim was here. Ridvan got in the van instead of the officer. He made that decision. It went wrong.

Ilgaz tells her to stop thinking about right and wrong. Why did he take me off the case? It’s ridiculous. Derya thinks Pars is afraid Ilgaz will get hurt, too. Ilgaz worries about Pars. He’s desperate. Remember what he did with Neva? I think he’s going after the person who killed Ridvan. Derya thinks that’s normal. Ilgaz clarifies, do you think it’s to bring justice? If so, we would do it together. Or is he going to give the punishment himself?

Pars arrives at Ceylin’s office. She’s alone. Ceylin starts by giving her condolences. Pars blurts—I took Ilgaz off the case, just so you know. She’s surprised. Did you do it to protect Ilgaz? Ilgaz isn’t the problem. The same thing will happen to anyone who takes the case. Pars defends his decision. It was the right thing to do. Ceylin suspects Pars has an ulterior motive. He sticks to his decision.

Pars tells Ceylin he came to ask her something. I need you to tell me the truth, it’s important. I know you found a casino chip. You put it in the file. Where did you find it? She deflects. He has no time for games, he has to find Ridvan’s killer. I’m not leaving until you tell me, he says. She resists. He insists. Where did you get it? She gives in, Merdan gave it to me. Pars thanks her and leaves.

Ilgaz tells Derya to keep an eye on Pars. Don’t let the bitterness between you get in the way. He leaves and stops in front of the open door to Ridvan’s office. He goes in. Ridvan’s things are still on the desk, unfinished tea and simit, files, a shirt. Ilgaz picks up a framed photo. Big smiles from Pars, Ridvan and Ilgaz. Sad.

Cinar calls Ilgaz to tell him Metin is being discharged.

Eren returns to the station and finds Tugce in his office. She heard Ridvan died. She gives condolences. Eren says, if this is my home, the courthouse is my second home. Ridvan was a son of that house. He was brilliant. Eren sniffles, it breaks my heart. I suddenly became a crybaby, he says and asks Tugce to hand him a tissue. You’re only human, Tugce replies, I’m worried about you, too. Metin Amca, Defne, and now Ridvan. It’s a pity for you. You’re human. I am, Eren says, but that’s not enough, is it?

You only have one life, Tugce tells him, get up, we’re going to your third house, the one you neglected. She takes his hand. Forget about everything. He objects. She tells him, look out the window. How many people are there? They can manage without you. You need to sleep. Have you looked in the mirror? I’m not saying this because you’re my dad.

I am what I am, Eren replies, do I need to go home to look in the mirror? Yes! That’s why we are leaving right now, Tugce tells him. Let’s go. I’m going to faint from anxiety, thinking something happened to you. Eren gives in. He tells himself, [Turkish] wow, friend, it’s in your destiny to listen to your daughter’s words. Come. They hug.

Ceylin and Ilgaz meet outside the courthouse. She says things got complicated. Thanks to the AG, Ilgaz replies. She asks, is it a protective instinct or something else? We’ll find out. He tells her Metin is being discharged. She wants to come and asks him if he’s had anything to eat. No. She remembers he used to remind her to eat every day. I need to do the same with you, she says.

Merdan has the meal ready on the table. There’s a knock at the door. It’s Pars. Merdan Bey… uh, Merdan Dede… may I come in? Yes, of course. Merdan gives his condolences. He points to the table. You’re early. Defne and Metin are coming. Pars looks a bit uncomfortable. He says he didn’t come to eat.

Merdan asks if something is wrong and invites Pars to sit. Pars says, you helped Ceylin with something that turned out to be an important piece of evidence. I wasn’t surprised. We know about your connections. I got your file after secretly requesting it. Ilgaz and I were on the outs, your case came in and Ridvan came in the morning. Pars gets emotional thinking about it.

Flashback to Ridvan doing the research that Pars wanted. Pars was hard on him, insisting that he go through mountains of paperwork line by line, and then write a one-page summary.
Pars continues, I know your files. So, what do you want, Merdan asks. Don’t misunderstand me, Pars says, I didn’t come here because of what you’ve done in the past or to question you about illegal evidence. I just came… to walk the same path. The dark path. I’m not afraid of the dark, but maybe you can light my way.

I understand, Merdan replies, but you must know that some knowledge and burdens are heavy. They weigh you down when you carry them. We use fire to light the way. If you are willing to burn, so much the better. Pars says the fire is already inside of him. I’m not afraid to burn to ashes.

Merdan tells Pars, take this spoon to the stove. I’m making tarhana soup. Stir it, tarhana doesn’t like heat. It will boil and you won’t notice. Learn to handle the fire first. You’ll be distracted while stirring. It will do you good. I’ll make a few calls and take care of you later.

Defne and Metin’s homecoming. Sweetness between Grandpa and his granddaughter. As usual, things are a bit awkward between father and son. Later at the dinner table, Defne picks at her food. They coax her to eat. Ilgaz reminds everyone how Defne couldn’t pronounce her favorite food. She smiles a little.

Grandpa says he’s going to play a game with Defne. If she can guess the hand with the napkin, that’s fine. But if she can’t, she must eat the meatballs. Defne guesses wrong and Merdan reveals the napkin is completely gone. Where did it go? Ilgaz has it!

Defne smiles, I won’t eat, because you gave the napkin to my brother. The brothers start to tease and tickle Defne. Merdan asks Metin how he’s feeling. Ceylin becomes uncomfortable, she quietly gets up from the table and leaves the house.

Ilgaz notices Ceylin is not at the table. Maybe she went to the bathroom. He checks. She’s not there. He looks outside. Her car is gone.

Pars goes to the courthouse after hours. He stops in Ridvan’s office. He picks up the same picture that Ilgaz held hours earlier. We get flashbacks of Pars-Ridvan scenes that capture the nature of their relationship.

Pars goes to his office and takes his pen and a sheet of paper. “To the General Secretariat of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors of the Republic of Turkey. I hereby voluntarily resign my current position of AG at the Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office. (Pars gets a call and shuts his phone.) I also provide whatever information is necessary.” Pars signs the letter and places it in his drawer. [was that a gun in his drawer?] It looks like Pars is readying himself for something drastic.

Defne comes to her father’s bedroom. She can’t sleep. She’s afraid of the dark, and when the lights are on, it’s in her eyes. Can I sleep with you tonight? Yes, princess. She hops in. We’re home, Metin tells her, we’re safe. Grandpa is here, Cinar is here. And so am I. Sleep.

Ceylin is at her office. There’s a knock at the door. [Who is it? You have 3 guesses and the first 2 don’t count.] It’s Ilgaz with flowers. He asks, why did you sneak out? I don’t feel comfortable seeing you like this. She says she’s fine.

Ilgaz stops her as she walks past him. He places a stray strand of hair behind her ear. Ceylin removes his hands. Ilgaz begins, I realized I’ve been unfair to you, and it upsets me. You said I was strict. I am, but life hardened me. I see your helplessness, the wound I opened in you. Ceylin, I’m so sorry. Affet beni. Forgive me.

It’s good that you understand it, Ceylin replies, it means so much. But I’m heartbroken. Let me fix it, he says, come back to me. Ilgaz, I can’t push a button to forgive and erase resentments, she answers, I don’t know if they can be erased. I need time to find that out. And you do too. Give me time. Let me think it over. Ilgaz says they can do that together.

You say you understand, Ceylin tells him, but do you think you’ve changed? It’s easy to realize that you’ve made a mistake. But is it so easy to change. [she should know, she hasn’t changed much.] Is it easy to understand today, yesterday and the future? She gets teary. Neither one of us is going to change. We’ll disagree in a couple of months because we don’t see life from the same place.

Ilgaz admits that’s possible. A big possibility. But won’t we learn and find a way forward? Do you think so, she asks in reply, or will we be destroyed with every step? I want to think about it very carefully. For that, I need time. I understand, he says, I agree. He leaves. Ceylin suffers.

Ozge comes to see Pars. He’s not in the office. She sits and cries. Flashback to the last time she saw Ridvan. There’s a knock at the door and a note is pushed underneath. Ozge stares at it.

Ceylin arrives at the courthouse. She’s startled by Omer as she gets out of her car. [yep, he’s creepy, Ceylin.] I didn’t mean to startle you, he says. But you did! He continues, we haven’t been introduced, we’ve just seen each other. He holds out his hand, I’m Omer. She pauses, then shakes his hand. I hope I’ll be glad to meet you, she replies. Hmm… he holds that handshake a little too long. She asks, what’s going on?

I have something for you, Omer says. It’s the flash drive! I’m talking to you like this, he tells her, I hope you don’t mind. [he’s using the informal, “sen”.] He hands her the drive. It was in my father’s possession. Selim gave it to him. Ceylin asks, he threatened the criminal organization with this? That’s right, Omer answers. Yekta always had it? Omer indicates yes. Ceylin wants to know, why are you doing this?

We’d all like to know. And we are out.

Jacinto is still watching Consuelo in the street and making puppy dog eyes. Meanwhile, creepy Fausto is getting more and more abusive and controlling .
After those magical moments with demented demon Fausto on the sofa \bed, Con goes to Jacinto's place for more magic. (1. How does she know where Jacinto lives ? 2. Jacinto bas a pretty nice place.) Is Con now going to be pregnant after all that magic and tell crazy Fausto the bebe is his but the bebe will actually be Jacinto's. Run, Jacinto, run.

It's interesting that the wardrobe department decided to use the same dress pattern in different fabrics for Nuria's dresses. Her dresses are all short with puffy short sleeves and a square neckline. Maybe we are supposed to think that she sewed them all herself using that one pattern she had.

Kimberley DOS Ramos ( Liana) was always the bad girl after the galan in every show that I have seen her in on Univision. ...only difference was her blonde hair .

The actress with the long, light brown hair playing Nuria's aunt and her son (?) With the black hair were mother and son in " Herencia" on Univision . I also saw her in " Siempre tuya Acapulco " on Azteca. These actors seem to bounce around a lot.

Susan, the actor playing Fausto was Arturo in Medicos on Univision, which I guess was galán #2 in that show but I thought he was stalkerish and creepy. He could not take no for an answer!

Kimberley dos Ramos has played a villain in everything I have seen her in except for Tierra de Reyes were she was a good girl. She is pretty good at playing the bad girl!

I have seen the Nuria actress in bad girl roles but not as the protagonist, I still need to keep catching up on this. The bad thing is you can’t pay half attention to a new show because you don’t know what is going on. It takes full attention span and try hat is so lacking in me these days.

While Ilgaz and Ceylin are relieved that Defne is safe, Pars has suffered a heavy blow. He is not planning to stick to the due process in the case of Ridvan.

Merdan and Cinar telling Ilgaz to stop working on this case is like telling him he shouldn't have packed this career. I wonder if those flashforwards of Ceylin with the knife and these warnings are related.

So, Omer gave the flashdrive to Ceylin and said Yekta had it, while Yekta didn't know anything about the flashdrive. Not sure what the plan is but looks like there is a plan.

Yeah, Chelo went to Jacinto after Fausto pretty much raped her. She told Jacinto that she doesn’t love Fausto and that she wants the kind of love that Jacinto offers. She asked him if it was too late, but of course, as we saw, ABSOLUTELY NOT! I also noticed that all the pics on Jacinto’s dresser were of himself, lol……I think that Chelo mistakes “making love,” for actually “being in love.”

Diego’s wonderful ex called him and told him that she moving to the US with his daughter and her new husband to be. She wanted him to sign papers and sign Danita over. He relented after telling her that he would if she gives him their address and lets him see Danita. Celia never said yes though, so Diego is moving to Mexico City and is going to submit the adoption papers himself.

Amelia’s devastated cause Mariana is keeping her baby, and Braulio vows that Mariana will regret it.

Santi got help from the older man who likes Augustina?? Nuria’s auntie, to make the flower garden cause it reminds her of Andres. Santi is totally smitten and told his father and Braulio that they will meet his “friend” soon…..

Lianna is becoming a psycho stalker…..

I hear there’s a series on Netflix called “ Fake People” in which Rodolfo Salas ( Fausto) has a starring role. I hear it’s pretty good and that they renewed it for a 2nd season…..

I figured Diego's wife was calling telling him that she was taking their daughter somewhere.

I noticed photos at Jacinto's , but I thought they might be of his brother . We saw him getting dressed in his bedroom before Con knocked on his door, so we know that he has a bedroom , but he never got that far with Con. Odd. The bedroom was just a few more steps away. Maybe Jacinto didnt want to be too obvious about his intentions.

Carmello, important news....I took another look at that episode , and there were two photos on the table outside Jacinto's bedroom . One was of an older woman, probably his mama and the other photo did look like a photo of him . it looked like a vacation photo of him standing next to a building ( Uffizi in Florence, maybe ).

Barely out of one mess, they are thrown into another. Ridvan’s demise will stick with me for a long time. I thought he might get hurt on the mission, be a hero and marry Ozge quickly. I didn’t think they would kill him. So unnecessary.

Now I’m really worried about Pars. He wrote his resignation letter, and it kind of looked like he was praying.

“Cinar is almost comic relief with his stupidity. Suddenly he can't lie and tell his dad Defne is safe and sound?” That’s our Cinar, Niecie, cute but stupid.

Ceylin asks Omer, why are you doing this? I want to do what’s right, Omer replies, just because I’m his son and I’m around him, doesn’t mean I’m like him. Okay, Ceylin says, so you’re not on his side.

Omer explains, I’ve spent my life searching for my father. I didn’t know whether he was good or bad, blind or lame. It didn’t matter to me. I wanted to find him and accept whoever he was. Ceylin nods at the weirdo, thanks him, and walks away. Omer watches her walk away… and shows us a creepy smile.

Ceylin enters Ilgaz’s office. It’s good to see him back at court. He’s glad to be back after being in Eren’s office for so long. Ceylin remarks, I never heard him (Eren) complain. Who wouldn’t want to share an office with you? I don’t know, Ilgaz pointedly replies.

Ceylin takes a breath and changes the subject. You want to be back on the case. I’d want the same thing. Our goal is to dismantle the criminal organization and for justice to prevail. She tosses flash drive on his desk. Open it.

Ozge sits in Pars’ office and stares at the note she placed on his desk. Pars enters. Why are you still here, he asks, why don’t you go home and rest? She can’t. Her mind doesn’t stop. I want the people who hurt Ridvan to pay. Did you find out who did it? Pars can’t even look Ozge in the eyes. He says, we don’t know yet, but we will. You must find the killer, Ozge tells him, he can’t go unpunished. I won’t have peace until he pays.

Pars tells her staying here won’t do her any good. I’ll find him. Now go rest. Ozge asks, will you call me? Of course, he replies. He offers his driver to take her home. She declines and says, there’s a letter for you. Someone slipped it under the door.
Ozge leaves and Pars opens the envelope. It’s a picture of Cezik and a note.

Ilcey watch the Mafia video. Ilgaz recognizes one—Hilmi Yozva. Ilgaz goes to speak with Pars.

Pars tears up the envelope and tosses it. He places the picture and note in his jacket pocket. Ilgaz enters and tells him we know what Selim did to threaten everyone. Pars reminds Ilgaz he’s off the case.

We have video, Ilgaz tells him. Yekta’ son, Omer, gave it to Ceylin. Yekta had the video the whole time. We know all the involved people. Hilmi Yozva is one. Pars seems to know who Hilmi is. Ilgaz hands the drive to Pars and says, let me finish what I started. Pars gives him the okay. Do what you must, go.

Ilgaz tells Ceylin he’s back on the case. She leaves to go to a hearing. He gets a call from Eren. We found Hilmi Yozva, I’ll send the address. Ilgaz tells him to prep the team.

Pars unlocks his drawer, takes out his gun and loads it, then tucks it in his waistband. He takes the resignation letter and places it on his desk. Uh oh… a slow motion walk to grab his coat, one last look around the office, he leaves. [this does not bode well.]

Derya spots Pars down the hallway and she runs to catch him. Pars! Pars! Where were you? I was worried sick. You didn’t come home, you didn’t call, you didn’t answer calls. Are you mad at me? He hugs her. It hurts me to see you like this. Calm down. She says she’s not looking for an explanation. I just need to know you’re okay. He tells her, I’m okay and I will get better. I’m going to the police station.

Ilgaz enters a restaurant. He approaches a group at a table. He introduces himself. I’m DA Ilgaz Kaya, I need to speak with Hilmi. I’ll assume this is Hilmi speaking—may we ask what this is about? You might want to keep this private, Ilgaz replies. Hilmi asks his colleagues to give him a moment with the DA.

Ilgaz gets right down to business. I know you are involved with the Balkan Mafia. I could have you arrested right here. The press will know immediately. Your career and image will be ruined. But if you give me names and addresses of those in the casino so I can legally arrest them, I can leave and pretend I was never here. Eren shows up and waits for Ilgaz’ orders.

Omer enters Yekta’s office. Dad isn’t happy with his son. Where have you been? We were supposed to meet before the trial. Omer is sorry, something important came up. What could be more important than this, Yekta asks. I spoke to Ceylin, Omer replies, I gave her a flash drive with video of key members of the gang. It will help her find them.

What did you say, Yekta asks. Where did you get that drive? Omer admits, Selim gave it to me. When? Omer says it was after the explosion, the day we went to testify. We get the flashback. You had it all this time, Yekta asks. Yes. Yekta slaps the desk and jumps up. God give me patience! You have no idea what you’ve done. I told you we were next. We’ll be the first to go down. Don’t you care?

Omer replies, I don’t think we will. Look at me, Yekta says, you can’t make decisions like this on your own. I know you are intelligent, but you just leaked something! Why didn’t you tell me? Yekta is upset. What was the point? I want to know.

They are interrupted by a knock. It’s Ayten. She brings Yekta coffee and asks Omer if he wants something. No thanks. She leaves. Omer makes sure the door is closed and says, Ayten Suat Ezin, born 1979 in Istanbul. She was a nurse at a public hospital between 2001 and 2005. She was accused of negligence and an investigation was conducted. After that, she worked in a supermarket. Then as a manicurist. Interesting. Despite being a nurse, she always worked menial jobs. This is her first job as an assistant.

Yekta wonders, when did you learn this? Omer says no one checked her references. I checked. There’s a lot of technology available. It wasn’t difficult. I checked her address to verify. It’s not real. Her real address is interesting. She’s a tenant at the Kayas’ house. She rents the apartment on the first floor. Yekta realizes they’ve been infiltrated.

Omer says yes, it’s the old Trojan horse story. Now you know why I gave Ceylin the drive. I showed her my good intentions. Yekta asks, what did she do? Creepy Omer replies, I wish you could have seen the way she held the drive in her hand, the way her eyes shined, the way she thanked me. Her appreciation was sincere, and her voice was sweet.

Yekta seems disturbed by this. [I think we all are.] Don’t be so sure, he says. Ceylin is smart and crazy enough to be in a manicomio. Omer adds, and she’s very beautiful. Too beautiful to be locked up. Yekta’s mouth falls open. [mine, too.]

Hilmi hands over the info. Ilgaz leaves and Eren arrests Hilmi for his involvement with the Mafia. Hilmi objects—I gave you the names and addresses. We had a deal. You lied. Eren says he had no idea. We will clarify this at the station. Umut escorts Hilmi out of the restaurant. Hilmi tries to get Ilgaz’s attention.

Ilgaz calls Pars. I have all the addresses of all the casinos and names of the members. I’ll start Operation Anemone if it’s okay with you. He doesn’t know anything about Cezik. I’ll find out soon.

We see Cezik working. Looks like he delivers water in his spare time from committing murder. We see Ozge spying on him from a taxi. We get a flashback. The note is slipped under Pars’ door. Cut to Ozge staring at it on Pars’ desk. Back to the present and Ozge’s mission. She has the driver follow Cezik.

Cinar is welcomed on his return to the pool hall. Everyone there is happy about the good resolution. Eyup comes stumbling in. Looks like he’s been badly beaten. He collapses.
This time both Ilgaz and Ceylin show up for their divorce hearing.

Ozge continues to stalk Cezik. Unfortunately, she is captured by her prey. Are you following me? Who are you? She tells him, Ridvan, the man you murdered, was my fiancé. He holds her tightly, kisses her head. She struggles and whimpers. He drags her away.
The family court judge asks to hear from Ceylin first. Do you want to make any changes to your petition? No, Your Honor.

Cezik pins Ozge against a tree and challenges her, are you going to punish me? Is this a reprimand? She curses him, we were going to get married! She hits him. You took him from me! He shushes her and grabs her by the shoulders. Is that the best you can do, he asks. You know something? He was a coward. He laughs, he was a coward. Get yourself another man.

You don’t know anything about him, Ozge shouts back. She hits Cezik a few times. He grabs her again. You should have heard him. He mocks Ridvan, “I’m not Selim… I’m not Selim…” Then why did you do it, Ozge screams. She grabs Cezik. Why! Why! Why!
Cezik pushes Ozge to the ground. I felt like it, he replies, I killed him for fun.

Ozge declares, Ridvan will be avenged. She reaches for her bag. Cezik kicks her. What will you do, he asks. He grabs her. Will you clean my sins? He laughs. Let me tell you something. I’m covered in blood. My hands, my neck, everywhere. Are you going to wash me? Don’t you want to do it? Ozge shouts, I swear I will kill you!

Cezik mocks, you’re going to kill me? [Turkish] You know, that reminds me, yours peed himself in fear. You should have seen him. Do you know who I am, he asks Ozge, do you want me to tell you? I’m responsible for the bomb blast at the station, for wounding the chief and kidnapping the girl. My father is the big boss. That’s right. If you tell anyone about this… if you say a word to anyone… or if the police come knocking at my door… I’ll kill you and everyone in your family. Understand? He gently kisses her cheek. Then gives her a kick.

Cezik walks away. Ozge grabs her bag, takes out a gun and shoots him in the back. Cezik takes a couple of steps and falls. She sobs.

The judge turns to Ilgaz. Would you like to reconsider your petition? Do you want to divorce Ceylin? [Ceylin waits for Ilgaz’s answer and so do we with the typical strategic commercial break.] Ilgaz answers, I don’t want to, I’m sorry. I love my wife… too much. I don’t want to divorce her. [Why does Ceylin look surprised?]

The judge says, dear colleagues, you said you reached a mutual agreement, but now that has changed. What do we do now? Handle it as a contentious divorce? Ilgaz is smiling. The judge asks, Ceylin, should I dismiss the case? Do you want it reopened? Personally, I’d love to dismiss the case. You can state the reasons for your decision to divorce. I’d like to hear them.

Ceylin doesn’t know what to say. This is different than what they discussed. The judge knows they are both familiar with the law. You know what this is about, she says. I’ll put the case on hold for now. In the event you reach an agreement again, we will reevaluate the situation. Ilcey leave.

What happened in there, Ceylin asks, what are you trying to do? I think I made it very clear, Ilgaz replies. We had an agreement, she reminds him. We signed and filed the petition. Why didn’t you tell me you changed your mind? You asked for time, he says, and I’m giving it to you. If after a while, you still want a divorce, we’ll go ahead. But I’m going to fight. I’ll find a way for us to stay together. I won’t give up without trying.

 

secrets #107 part 4

Nothing will change, Ceylin says. Ilgaz agrees, you won’t change, and I won’t either. When you leave, you can decide. Or you can remind yourself that you are my wife and change your attitude. That goes for me, too. I could say, “wait a minute” and try to see things objectively and try to understand. There’s one thing I know… I don’t want to lose you. She repeats, nothing will change.

Ilgaz doesn’t want to hear that now. I won’t try to convince you. I want to find a way to live with the one person I love enough to die for. [foreshadow?] Just give me time. We can do it, Ceylin. I won’t let go. He gets a call and tells the person to hold. He tells Ceylin he’s going to see Ozge tonight and asks her if she wants to come. Yes.

Ilgaz walks away and takes the call from Eren. He asks if Cezik was among those arrested. Eren says no, but the operation continues.

Derya finds Ceylin and sits next to her. She heard about the divorce case. It’s amazing how fast word spreads, Ceylin replies. Derya notes that Ilgaz didn’t want a divorce. Are you here to tell me how it feels when another person makes a decision for you, Ceylin asks. I don’t have to, Derya says, you’re smart.

Ceylin asks Derya, what did you do? Nothing, Derya replies. We are still together. Ceylin asks if that’s final. Derya isn’t sure. I don’t know what Pars thinks, feels or wants. [he wants that baby, Derya.] He postpones things. Ceylin mentions Ilgaz told her Pars isn’t well.

Derya answers, he says he’s okay but… who is okay anymore? It’s hard for a survivor. A part of you is buried with your loved one. Ceylin says, maybe your hope is that you can make Pars feel alive again. It would be a brand new start that we could all use. We can’t give up, Derya. We must go on, no matter what it takes.

Osman approaches Ceylin as she leaves the courthouse. He’s interviewing for an accounting job at a law firm. I thought you might know them, he says, maybe you could call them… or maybe not. Put in a good word. She’ll do it. She snarks, you might be a bad husband and even worse BIL, but you’re a good worker.

Ceylin spots Ozge arriving by taxi and calls out to her. Ozge turns to look, then hurries away. Ceylin follows her inside the courthouse. Ozge tells Ceylin she needs to find the AG. She’s very upset. Ceylin accompanies her. I think they go to Ilgaz’s office.

Something bad happened, Ozge says, I need to find the AG. She’s clearly traumatized. Ceylin tries to keep her calm and gives her water. Ozge starts to explain, I went to the AG’s office to see if Ridvan’s killer had been found. I was waiting in his office and a letter was slipped under the door.

Flashback. We see that Ozge opened the letter, saw the picture and read the note: “Cezik is at this address.” End flash.

 

secrets #107 part 5

Ozge says, I called the police to find out who killed Ridvan. I was told it was a guy named Cezik. The AG was looking for him and found him. I saw his picture and I lost my head, she cries. I went to DA Derya’s office.

Another flashback. Ozge narrates. There was a weapon in her desk, I took it. End flash. I went to his address…

What did you do, Ceylin asks. Ozge can barely speak. And then… I … she sobs, I don’t know what happened. I wasn’t myself. Ceylin asks again, what did you do? I don’t know, Ozge cries, I don’t know what I did. I… shot him, I killed him. Ceylin is horrified.

Ozge is distraught. I don’t know how I pulled the trigger. I’ve never done that before. I’d never touched a weapon in my life. He laughed because he killed Ridvan. Ridvan told him, “I’m not Selim” and he still killed him without mercy. He did it for fun! I need to find the AG! He’ll save me.

Ceylin stops her. Wait! Let me think! She asks, where did you shoot him? Ozge recounts, he looked at me and then he walked away. I shot him in the back! He was going to kill me… he was going to kill everyone. Ceylin asks if he’s dead. Ozge says yes. They’ll kill me, she cries, they’ll kill everybody. He’s the son of the Mafia boss. When they hear what happened, they will kill my whole family!

Ozge holds onto Ceylin. What do I do? Please protect me!

And we are out.

 

Secrets #105 & #106

Dondi, I'm intrigued each night by this show and would never be able to understand it all without your recaps. Amid the grim, thanks for the laughs: "But wait… there’s a knock at the door. [Who is it? You have 3 guesses and the first 2 don’t count.] It’s Ilgaz."

I'm glad Ilgaz, after all that's happened, can still bring the romance and make me (if not, Ceylin) smile. Nobody seems to get that the public needs him to not bow to crooks. Once he starts that, he might as well be dead because he would hate himself. Lucio and Dondi, nope nobody gets Ilgaz's role as a public servant and that's a shame.

Yep, Omer held Ceylin's hand too long. That was an interesting scene at the restaurant. I can't tell if Yekta was appalled by Omer's lack of empathy for his client Selim and for Ridvan or his lack of decorum in sharing dreadful info in front of Lacin.
 

Secrets #107

Super job, Dondi. My word, everyone is getting pulled into turmoil, even Ozge.

A shame that Ozge shot Cezik in the back. Hard to prove this was self-defense since he was leaving. I have no sympathy for this cretin, but Ozge has made things worse. And I didn't even realize the gun was Derya's.

It seems what Omer wants chaos for both Yekta and the DAs, plus Ceylin as his girlfriend.
