I was catching up over the weekend. It is a tangled tale for sure! I was reminded that this began with a hand (of Ceylin’s sister hanging from the suitcase), a very memorable beginning. Here there is another hand, perhaps that of Pars.
Interesting symbolism.

So sorry, I won't be able to get a recap up for last night's (Monday) show. I haven't been able to watch it. It's not posted on the website yet.

Gracias, Dondi. This dizi is giving me way more than I bargained for. Pars is one of my favorites. If they'll off him, they'll off anybody.

I keep thinking that Derya would be able to identify Pars' hand on sight. But it would be profoundly cruel to do that to her.

Ceylin sees that Omer has a screw loose, but I don't think she gets he's on the maniac spectrum. I do believe he did something to his brother. From the pics, it looks like the mother raised both him and his brother.

I loved Ilgaz dumping Omer's coffee in the potted plant. Omer, you are not fit to shine Ilgaz's shoes.

Osman is letting fear get to him, but no question he's mixed up in a colossal mess. Ceylin is super smart but there's a tiny Pollyanna inside her.

Pars is a favorite of mine as well! This is tough to watch, but I hope they can eventually defeat the bad guys without too many casualties of good guys! Of course, with Turkish dizi, endings aren’t always happy. I can still hope, however!

Nuria becomes a hero for thwarting robbers at the clothing store. Still Santi chastises her for putting herself in danger. He loves her and doesn’t want anything to happen to her,of course. But Nuria being Nuria, was there any other alternative??? Santi also doesn’t care who knows that they’re in a relationship and kisses her in front of everyone, but she kisses back without too much complaint…….Chalo shows up at the clothing store post robbery and acts immature again after seeing the kiss, and says to Nuria that he will go find Esmeralda himself. Eugenia offers—— practically begs to go with him, and he relents……..

Before that, Martha announced her choice for president of the company, Braulio…..later we find out that Santi asked her to make Braulio president cause he doesn’t want it . However, Martha did want to honor Roberto’s wish of making Santi president. Looks like we may be getting a “different” Martha going forward——-hope so. Also Roberto left some shares to Martha’s daughter in hopes that Martha continues to look for her I guess……..

Dumber Braulio shares EVERYTHING with Tigre. Now that Tigre has the goods, he will have a trump card when Roberto’s death comes to light. I really want them to get to the reason Tigre killed Roberto, cause from the character of the Roberto that we were given, it seems like Tigre could’ve made a mistake…….Meanwhile, Lianna is looking for her resignation letter, but Braulio has it already. They go back and forth blaming one another, but then Lianna admits that Roberto already knew and figured out the truth.. They both got very sad about how disappointed Roberto was in them, and seemed to have a tearful kinda connection moment, but that lasted for only a moment. Lianna let Braulio know that she recorded his confession, and that if anything happens to her, it will go straight to Martha………..

Rai asked Rosalia to marry him again, but, again, won’t tell him why she won’t divorce her husband in order to do that. Later Santi and Nuria show up and Santi tells Nuria about Alicia, and how he never thought he’d fall in love again. But he loves her and wants her to be his GF. Nuria agrees and they kiss and Rosalia and Rai are over the moon with the news. I really thought Santi was gonna confess all—- that he’s a Zepeda——-and I don’t know exactly what he’s waiting for????

Diego and Amelia get a little closer after he offers to be a sounding board of sorts for her. Whenever she needs to talk, he’s there for her. Amelia is grateful. But later when Diego tells Amelia that just maybe Andres/ Juan’s nightmare wasn’t a nightmare but a memory, she’s not open to that idea. Diego backs off for now as Amelia has to leave………

Chelo and Fausto return from their “honeymoon” and Fausto is complaining that they only had sex once, lol. He needs more than that! Hahaha! Chelo makes more excuses and says that she needs to call Nuria. They FT and Rosalia mostly, tells Chelo that Nuria has a novio. Chelo is happy for her and says that she wants her to be happy like she’s happy with Fausto——-heaven forbid!! We see how happy Chelo is as she makes a straight bee line to Jacinto’s and they begin making out. WTH is Chelo doing????? She’s gonna get Jacinto killed!!! We all know that Fausto’s crazy azz will find a way to make him pay!

Finally, Chalo and Eugenia show up after looking for Esmeralda with defeated, tired looks on their faces……..

Secrets #113 part 1

We’re in últimos capítulos!

I didn’t mind that replay of Ilgaz dumping Omer’s coffee. Ceylin stands and thanks Omer. They shake hands and it lingers a bit too long for both Ilgaz and Ceylin’s liking. Ilgaz puts his hand on Ceylin and barks, let’s go, darling! A reproach from Ceylin—Ilgaz! What the hell are you doing, she asks as he leads her away. Omer calls out, let’s do this again.

Eren is surprised to see Ilcey exiting the restaurant. Ceylin is embarrassed by Ilgaz’s behavior. Ilgaz is steamed and says he trusts her, he respects her rights, he won’t meddle in her affairs. But that man is not normal. He’s dangerous! I told you. Why don’t you listen and be careful? Try to understand and do what I ask. Stay away from anything involving Yekta!

Ceylin says there was no danger. They were in public. She explains she ran into him, and he asked her to lunch, and she accepted. He has a plan and a purpose, she says, I’m trying to figure it out. I would have succeeded if you had let me.

Merdan visits Ayten to get a Yekta update. Is he still pushing you? Ayten says he’s stopped the questions for now. But she’s felt like he’s been watching her since then. His father must be turning in his grave, Merdan replies. [that’s an interesting comment.] Ayten notes that Yekta isn’t a very nice guy. You can expect anything from him. Tell Ceylin to be careful. He could be on to us. She offers condolences for Zulkuf.

Ilcey and Eren arrive at the station. Ceylin walks ahead. Eren asks Ilgaz, aren’t you going to tell her about Pars? Ilgaz isn’t sure if he should. Eren warns him there will be trouble if she finds out later. Ilgaz asks Eren to take Ozge’s statement.

Ilgaz asks Rafet for an update. Igor can’t be found. He took off as soon as he left the judge’s chambers. We questioned the others, and they don’t know anything. The men who broke into Ozge’s home were arrested. They are wanted and they are Balkan mobsters.

Rafet asks if Derya knows what’s happened. We haven’t told her yet, Ilgaz replies. Rafet thinks that’s the right thing to do.

Eren gives a verbal review of Ozge statement [or is he giving it for her?] “He pushed me to the ground. He licked me and assaulted me.” Did I miss anything, he asks? That’s it, Ozge replies. Eren continues, “He said he killed my fiancé for the fun of it. He said humiliating things about him.” Anything else you want to add, Eren asks. No, she says.

Eren asks, almost like a prompt—Ozge, did you think he was going to kill you? Yes, she answers, yes, he threatened me. He said he’d kill me and my family. Eren adds, and you were terrified. Yes, Komiser, I was very scared, she replies, that’s why I took the gun.

Parla tells Cinar and Tugce what happened at breakfast with Osman. She overheard him—he and Ceylin buried. Cinar and Tugce are shocked. Who did they bury? Parla says it was the son of an important mobster. She gets emotional. He was killed and they buried him. I don’t want to know, she cries. Cinar says maybe she misheard or misunderstood. No, she heard it. And she cries some more.

Eren lets Ilgaz know he finished with Ozge. Ilgaz heads to Eren’s office and asks Ozge, did you give your statement? She nods. You’re familiar with the procedure, he says, tomorrow you’ll go before the judge. And tonight, just for tonight, I suggest you stay in custody for your protection. She says ok. Tomorrow we will evaluate and figure out a plan of action, he tells her.

Ilgaz and Eren take Ozge to a holding cell. She asks Ilgaz if he could notify her parents. He will. She sobs. This is so sad.

Ilgaz tells Ceylin he’s going with Eren to see Derya and she can go home. Nope, Ceylin says she’s going with them.

 

secrets #113 part 2

Derya doesn’t answer the door right away. Ceylin bangs on it and calls out. One second, Derya calls back, I’m coming. I’ll let you in but promise you won’t laugh. Derya is wearing a very elegant white gown. Ever heard of a phone, she asks, call before showing up. She’s embarrassed.

OMG, Ceylin exclaims, you look beautiful! Oh, that slight perception of sadness on Ilgaz and Eren’s faces when they tell Derya she looks beautiful. Derya explains her friend is a designer and made it. I told her about the wedding, and she sent it so I could try it on. Ceylin thinks it’s a stupendous dress.

Derya says, I have the wedding dress, but unfortunately, the groom is missing. Eren tells her Pars will turn up. Where is he going to go? You’re not strangers anymore, Derya notes, you’re family now. You’re aware of the situation. I was scared, but I decided to keep the baby. [yay!] But now he’s not around.

Ceylin tries to be positive. This is Pars we are talking about. He’ll come back. Do you think he’d leave you? Derya replies, but he should tell me he’s okay. I left him a voicemail telling him I was upset, and he hasn’t even listened to it. She turns to Eren and Ilgaz—if something happened to him, we’d know, right? Ilgaz immediately answers, we’d know. We shouldn’t assume the worst.

Derya leaves the room to change. She asks for Ceylin’s help. Eren asks Derya to use the bathroom. Eren swipes Pars’ toothbrush [how is he sure that’s Pars’ brush?]

Over dinner, Lacin asks Yekta how things are going with Omer. Yekta says, it’s great. He’s an asset to the firm. What about you, she asks, how do you feel about him? I don’t mean his skills. Well, he’s my son, Yekta replies, you brought him here. There was nothing I could do. You talk, don’t you, she asks, have intimate conversations? Yekta gets annoyed and tells her to get to the point.

Did you know Omer had a brother, Lacin asks. No, Yekta replies, is his brother my son, too? [I lol’d.] Lacin doesn’t know. He told me he was looking for his father, she says, but he didn’t say anything else. Maybe he talked about it with you. Yekta whines, please don’t bring another child into this house.

Omer comes home and Yekta tells Lacin to ask the source. Omer senses something is up and asks Lacin. She stammers, no… no… well… I was wondering if you had a brother, uh, if you were still in touch with your family. Omer scratches his neck. We never talked about it, she says.

Omer asks if she heard something about it. No, she replies, I’m just curious. Yes, I had a brother, Omer admits, I did. After my mother died, he took off after the funeral. [that’s not the same story he told Ceylin.] Lacin apologizes to Omer for making him uncomfortable. She invites him to sit and eat. He declines. Yekta is giving Lacin dirty looks. Omer excuses himself to go to his room. Are you happy now, Yekta asks.

Omer goes to his room and sits on the bed. He looks disturbed. He gets up and walks over to his desk. He realizes that Lacin looked at his photo book. He carefully straightens a pile of books, then picks up the photo book. He flips through the pictures. He's angry. It’s scary.

Cinar is still trying to convince Parla she misinterpreted what she heard. Relax. You’ll see I’m right. Tugce, as always, thinks differently and correctly. Parla goes home. Despite their disagreements, Cinar wants to walk Tugce home. She starts walking and Cinar says he’ll take that as a yes.

Parla enters the house. Everyone is at the dinner table. Osman is upset that Parla was out so late. I always come home at this time, Parla says, what’s different about today? Osman says some stuff about Parla having tests and getting rest. Parla gives her dad some attitude and goes to her room “to study”.

 

secrets #113 part 3

Derya shows Ridvan’s engagement ring to her guests. Ozge told me he was paying for the ring in installments, Eren says. Derya says the ring was in Pars’ drawer. She’ll give it to Ozge tomorrow. Ilgaz questions this, saying, the pain of her loss is still fresh. Derya reconsiders.

Derya remembers that Pars has relatives in Bursa. Maybe they heard from him. I thought about calling, but I don’t have their number. Eren says he thought about this, and already reached out to everyone he could, but no one’s heard from him. This isn’t normal, Derya worries, I have a bad feeling. Ilgaz thinks they should leave and let Derya rest. She wants them to stay a while longer. Ceylin agrees with Ilgaz. Eren tells Derya he’s available 24/7 if necessary.

Ilcey get home and Ceylin starts in, what’s going on? What do you mean, he asks in reply. Come on, Ilgaz, she answers, you and Eren were acting weird. Ilgaz deflects, I’m still obsessing over your lunch with Omer. Get over it, she says, I know you’re hiding something. I can tell. He denies it. She tells him he’s not good at lying. Your eyes give you away.

Ilgaz says he’s worried and has a bad feeling. This isn’t normal Pars behavior. What do you mean, Ceylin asks. Ilgaz sighs. If you’re worried, she says, then something terrifying happened. I hope you’re wrong this time. We’ve been through enough. They hug.

Ilgaz wants to ramp up the search for Igor.

Ceylin and Metin talk about the case against Muhsin. She says they need more evidence against him. He’s ready to help. Ceylin wants to find more victims. Metin worries about any victims backing out. He’s seen that happen before. The case gets bigger, and people get scared. Ceylin answers, we are not scared.

Metin smiles at Ceylin, it’s good to have you back. Welcome home. Ilgaz comes downstairs and wants to see Defne. More good news, Defne has returned to school. Ilgaz teases Metin about the baklava he brought to the station saying, Eren and I didn’t get any.

Derya washes up and realizes a toothbrush is missing. She remembers Eren used the bathroom.

Cinar sets a very nice breakfast table for two down at the pool hall. Eyup walks by and comments, don’t set the bar too high. You need to pace yourself. You’re a hopeless romantic. Parla Yenge is a lucky girl. Cinar tells Eyup that Parla is upset, and he’s doing this to cheer her up.

Eyup asks if there’s anything he can do. Stupid Cinar explains, there’s something strange happening between her aunt and her dad. Eyup gets the wrong idea and Cinar immediately straightens that out by making it worse. Her aunt and her dad buried something, he clarifies, and she keeps thinking it’s a body. I told her it was a bird or a cat.

Ilcey drive. Ceylin asks, [Turkish] is Missing Persons also working the case? Yes, Ilgaz replies, everyone is working together. Ceylin hopes that someone has seen Pars. Maybe someone will report it. Ilgaz says he’s starting to hate the word “maybe”. I want facts, he says.

Do you think the Balkans knew Pars was after Kesik, Ceylin asks, like they knew Ozge was after him? It makes no sense, she adds. I’ve considered that, Ilgaz replies. Ceylin worries they still haven’t found the leader of the gang who attacked Ozge.

Parla comes to the pool hall. Eyup is watching. She’s thrilled to see the nice table.

Ilcey arrive at the station. Ceylin heads to see Ozge. Ilgaz enters Eren’s office. Eren looks heartsick. He says, it’s Pars’ hand. It can’t be, Ilgaz replies. Derya bursts into the office in a panic—why are you playing with me?! Why did you take his toothbrush? Where’s Pars? Neither man is able give an immediate answer.

 

secrets #113 part 4

Ceylin hears Derya. She turns back to Eren’s office. Derya continues to ask questions. You took his toothbrush for a DNA sample. Is he dead? Where’s Pars, she cries, tell me! Ilgaz tells her to calm down. She realizes—the coroner’s office. She rushes out.

Ilgaz follows her out of the office and stops her. Tell me, she shouts, is he dead?! Ilgaz answers, we don’t know if he’s dead or not. Don’t lie, she says, if he’s not dead, why do you need his DNA? Answer me! Ilgaz has trouble getting the words out. We needed…

Cinar asks Parla if she talked to her dad. No, she replies, I locked myself in my room. And before that, I got a speech about coming home early… blah, blah, blah. Anyway, I know he’s scared. Cinar tells her he will walk her to school and home. I’ll be your bodyguard. I’ll give you a lot of protection. She laughs. The more I get to see you, the better, she says.

Parla spills tea. She goes to get something to clean it up. This is an excuse to go snoop on Eyup. He catches her and puts his hand over her mouth. Shhh… calm down, he whispers. He glares at her, what are you looking for? Let me help you.

And we are out.

I didn't realize that Nuria didn't know that Santi is a Zepeda and Braulio is his brother.

Rosalia is Nuria’s aunt, Eugenia’s mother, and Rai is the older gentleman who wants to marry her. Thanks for your comment on my recap, and I will try to put something up regularly when I can. My work schedule is kinda hectic and not a normal 9-5….

Santi was going to tell Nuria who he is at one point, but she expressed her dislike for the Zepeda’s, so he thought better of it. He needs to tell her though———soon. She already felt betrayed by Braulio, and now his brother is following suit. She’ll probably think that the Zepeda’s are deceptive by nature and genetically inclined to be liars…… we will see……….

You tube has some decent episodes, but you have to try hard to pick the better ones……..

I am not feeling very well and it is just so much easier to watch mindless background noise instead of trying to pay attention to a new show when not feeling well. I will catch up shortly though! Parla and Cinar spread the information about the body burial pretty quickly. Now Eyup will tell Omer who will quickly put two and two together.

Little to cheer about lately. Maybe Ceylin can win her lawsuit.
 

secrets #114 part 1

Derya is distraught. Ilgaz, please find him, she sobs, please! Eren, why are you here? He would be looking for you. He would have found either of you. Please find Pars. Ilgaz replies, I swear we will find him.

Rafet has breaking news. Our officers caught Igor aboard a ship. The bastard tried to leave the country. He’ll be at the station soon. And as soon as Rafet finishes, Igor is brought into the station. The men leave the office and Ceylin stays with Derya.

Igor is brought to the interrogation room. Ilgaz asks everyone else to clear out and close the door. Ilgaz tosses the table over, pulls up a chair and sits knee to knee with Igor. He asks the mob boss, what do you want? To avenge your son the hitman? Is that why you went after Ozge and Pars?

Igor is unfazed. Ilgaz warns, you have 3 minutes to tell me where Pars is. You’re not going to hurt anyone else. If you lay a hand on anyone close to AG Pars, if you lay a hand on anyone, I’ll do everything I can to put you in a hole where you will never see anyone again.

Ceylin and Eren come to watch at the glass. I see you got it all wrong, Igor says, I’m not after AG Pars. I’m after you. Ilgaz is stunned. Igor explains, I told you from the very beginning to close the case. This is your fault. My business went under because of you. My youngest son died because of you. That note was meant for you. I’ll make sure you memorize your way to the morgue. You’ll have to ID your loved ones just like I did. All your loved ones, one by one.

Ilgaz tries to process what he just heard. He gets up from his chair. You pulled the thread, Igor says, and there’s no stopping it now. Not even I can stop it. You’ll lose all your loved ones. Bury them with your own hands. Ilgaz is broken. He envisions Defne and his Dad in an accident. Cinar being strangled at home.

Ilgaz lifts Igor out of his chair and head butts him. He picks Igor up off the floor and shakes him, I won’t let you! Eren calls a couple of cops for backup. Ilgaz has Igor pinned against the wall. He’s literally spitting mad. He shouts, if you hurt any of them, I’ll kill you! It takes 3 men to pull Ilgaz away. Eren takes Ilgaz out of the room.

Ilgaz heads straight out of the station. He’s oblivious to everything, including Turgut who greets him. Ceylin runs after Ilgaz, who has a full-blown panic attack outside the station. He can’t breathe. She calms him.

Eyup tells Parla, it’s fine not to trust nowadays, but why are you going through my bag? Is this what you are looking for? He gives her his ID. There’s my number. Sorry, the picture is old. Go ahead, snap a pic with your phone.

You got me wrong, Parla answers, you did something amazing for us and we want to know your birthday so we can celebrate it. We even thought of surprising you. Eyup doesn’t buy it. So instead of asking like a normal person, you go through my things? If you’re going to lie, try to make it believable.

Parla leaves the room, comes back to Cinar and says she has to go. There was a change in homework assignments. Tugce called. It’s important. She apologizes and gives him a peck on the cheek. I’ll find a way to make it up to you.

Eren explains the situation to Turgut. DA Ilgaz is the target. He said he’d kill his loved ones… and no one can save them. Rafet adds, this is serious. He put a bomb in Ilgaz’ car, his father and sister were kidnapped. Turgut stops him, he already knows and doesn’t like pointless repetition. Turgut asks if Pars was mentioned. No, Eren says, but I’m starting to lose hope.

Ilgaz returns to Eren’s office. He’s still shaken.

 

secrets #114 part 2

Derya goes to the interrogation room. Igor is still there, he’s handcuffed. Derya throws the cops out of the room and slams the door shut. She sits across from Igor, just like Ilgaz did. She asks, where’s Pars? Igor smirks. She asks again, where’s Pars? Tell me. Answer! Igor tortures her with a big smile. Derya asks, what did you do to him? She rises from her chair. Is he alive?

Igor looks up and says, may God forgive the AG’s sins. Derya kicks her chair away. No! No! She cries. Igor tells her, he’s dead, just like my son. Derya is shaking with anger and grief. She asks, where is he? Igor smirks. Where is he, Derya asks, he should have a grave, where is he?

Sinister laughter from Igor earns him a wicked slap across the face from Derya. Derya grabs him by the collar and shouts, tell me or I’ll strangle you! I’ll kill you! Tell me!

Ilgaz thinks Igor has a couple of people. Rafet interrupts with useless blather. Turgut says we’ll question every member of the gang again if need be. We’ll do it again and again. Each new lead will bring us closer to the killer. As he speaks we see a stunned Derya walk past the office and out the door. No one notices her. She gets in her car and cries. Somehow, she manages to drive away.

Turgut notes they tried to keep this quiet. But now it’s out of their control. He asks Ilgaz to come with him to notify the governor. We should notify other stations and make an action plan. Ilgaz wants to start his investigation asap. Turgut says that’s fine but they need to have the meeting first. We will go to the meeting, come back to the station to pick up where we left off. Ilgaz wants Ceylin to stay with Eren.

Ceylin says this is a nightmare. Eren tries to stay positive. We’ll figure out where we failed and what we missed.

Ilgaz calls to tell his Dad, pick up Defne from school and go straight home. Metin wonders why. He was about to go to the station. This is more important, Ilgaz says, I’ll fill you in later. Our family was threatened. Hurry, and don’t tell Defne. Metin tells Merdan to stay inside the house.

Ilgaz calls Cinar next. Pick up Tugce, Merve and Parla and take them home (Kayas’ house). Cinar asks why and Ilgaz snaps at him, just take the girls home, period! I’ll explain later. Let me know when you get home.

Osman is at a job interview. While Osman negotiates salary, Ilgaz keeps calling him. Osman finally answers. Osman, stop what you’re doing and take the family to my house… Gul and Aylin. Osman asks, what happened? No time to explain, Ilgaz replies, do what I ask. Cinar is coming with the girls. Osman leaves the interview. [I don’t know, is he still going to get that job?]

Ceylin tells Eren that Ilgaz has called everyone. Eren knows, he just spoke with Tugce. Ceylin thinks keeping everyone together is a good idea. She wonders where Derya is. I don’t know, Eren replies, she was here and then everything went to hell. Ceylin starts to worry. Find her and I’ll call her.

Not sure what that was about but Cinar is settling some sort of account. Half cash, half on a card. Sounds like it’s a problem. Eyup appears with his coat on, and his bag packed. Thanks for everything, he tells Cinar, you’re the best. Where are you going, Cinar asks. I think I should go, Eyup replies. Ok, Cinar says, but tell me what happened, first.

Eyup thanks Cinar for trusting him and caring. But not everyone agrees. I don’t want to bother anyone anymore. What do you mean, Cinar asks, did Parla say something? Eyup says he caught Parla going through his bag. But he doesn’t blame her. Cinar tells Eyup to put his things back. This is my place, he says, I’m letting you stay. We’ll clear the air. Cinar has to go and won’t be back for the day.

 

secrets #114 part 3

Derya’s car screeches to a halt in front of Pars’ house. She enters the front gate and heads to the backyard. There’s a patch of grass that’s been dug up. Derya gathers up her courage to move forward slowly, with baby steps. Tears fall, she struggles to breathe. She sits on a step next to that patch. She cries and starts to claw at the dirt. Ugh, no… She uncovers a hand.

I can’t even describe this horror. She’s found Pars… he was buried in his own yard. Derya takes out her phone and calls Eren. Derya, where are you, he asks, Ceylin and I are worried. I found… Derya replies breathlessly. What…what did you find, Eren asks. I found him…. I found Pars.

Where is he, Eren asks with trepidation. Derya cries into the phone. He asks again, where is he? At his house, she replies, in his yard. This hits Eren hard. He lowers the phone. He growls, you’ll pay for this! He goes looking for Igor in the interrogation room. Where is that bastard?! Where was he taken?! Eren goes through the halls shouting. [in Turkish, Eren drops a whole bunch of F-bombs. I dropped a couple in English.]

Eren finds Igor in a holding cell. [Turkish] Damn you, bastard! You bloodless bastard! How could you do this? How could you kill my brother! You think you’ll get away with this?! I’ll take your entire family out! I’ll rip out your tongue that gave the order and shove it up your butt! Eren shouts at the guard to open the cell, while Igor sits calmly and smiles. The guard won’t do it.

I’ll kill him, the komiser yells. He was going to be a father! How could you kill him before he could name his child? Before he could hold him! Poor Ozge is in the next cell. Eren continues to rage, I’ll devote my life to avenging him! We caught you and I’ll watch you wither away in a cell. And if you get out, I’ll kill you myself! You’ve been warned. I’m your worst enemy! Remember this face. Remember it! I’ll remember every breath you take. You’re my motivation!

Eren stops at Ozge’s cell. He asks the guard to open it. I need to take her upstairs, he says. Eren brings Ozge to an office. Who is that man, Ozge asks, didn’t Kesik kill Ridvan? That man is Kesik’s father, Eren replies, Kesik killed Ridvan. Ozge presses for an answer, you said he killed someone. Who did he kill? Did he kill AG Pars? Eren doesn’t answer. He tells a cop not to let anyone into the room. Keep an eye out.

Eren goes into the mens’ room and breaks down. If this wasn’t bad enough, we hear and see flashbacks with Eren and Pars that capture their relationship. [I had to take a short break from recapping at this point. Too intense.]

Turgut and Ilgaz arrive at the Governor’s mansion. The Secretaries of the Interior, Justice Department, and the Chief of Police are here, Turgut says. We’ll get through this together.

Osman gets Aylin from Ceylin’s office. Tolga is there and says he had missed calls from Ilgaz. Now he can’t reach anyone. He says he will come with them, maybe he can help.
Merve questions Cinar. Why am I involved in this? Don’t tell me this is about Serdar. Isn’t that over, Cinar asks. He explains, Ilgaz asked me to take you to his house, that’s all I’m doing.

Meanwhile, Parla worries that this is about the fake passport. Tugce says it’s not. She spoke to her dad, and he told her to go to Ilgaz’s house. Parla has another bad thought—what if this is about the body my aunt and dad buried? [she’s getting warmer…] Tugce warns her to lower her voice. We’ll find out soon enough. The group is all together, no one knows what’s going on. But Tugce says she smells danger. A police car follows them.

 

secrets #114 part 4

Ilgaz gets the terrible news while he’s at the Gov’s office. He gets off the phone and returns to the group. My condolences, he tells everyone. He was buried in the yard outside his house. DA Derya found him. Our teams are on their way.

The Governor says, as we decided, all police departments, including Intelligence, will work with the Ministry of the Interior. Intelligence, Organized Crime, Counterterrorism, Law Enforcement, Turgut says, we all need to be on high alert. Another man says, we should assign protection to everyone who is in danger. The Gov agrees. Not just close relatives, distant relatives and friends should also have protection.

The Gov addresses Ilgaz but he’s in a fog. Turgut clears his throat to get Ilgaz’s attention. She asks Ilgaz for a list. He mentioned your loved ones, she says, who do you think could be threatened? Could you provide a list? It’s to provide protection. Ilgaz nods.

Eren returns to his office. Time to tell Ceylin. Did you find Derya, she asks, where is she? I can’t get a hold of her. She looks at Eren and knows something is wrong. He tells her—Derya found Pars. And? Eren can’t find the words. She asks, Pars is alive, right? He was buried in his yard, Eren cries. No! No, Ceylin cries out, enough! That’s enough!

They hold onto each other. He’s gone, Eren sobs, my brother is gone… Pars is gone… he’s no more.

We go out on a flashback of a smiling Pars.

Thanks so much, dondi. I will be commenting on both episodes separately. I noticed that you wrote that Omer and Ceylin had lunch, but the Spanish translation was dinner. So...in my mind dinner is worse than lunch to a jealous man. But I guess Ilgaz would have gone nuts for either one. And OTOH he said that he was more worried about her safety than jealous.

I enjoyed Eren helping Ozge with her statement so as to put the best possible light on what she did, leaning toward self defense.

Why did these writers have dimwit Parla overhear her father? She'll blab it all over Istanbul.

I can't get over these holding cells without a toilet nor even a cot. Ilgaz did tell her he was keeping her overnight as protection. I guess she's not supposed to sleep.

I also wondered how Eren knew which toothbrush to choose. Was the one he took blue and the other pink, like baby booties?

Yes, Omer was really scary when he recognized Lacin had looked at the photos. He almost crumpled them up in his rage.

AMEN on your Telemundo quote about hope dying often in Turkish dizis. I suppose the only safe one is Eren, the director's husband.

It was sort of good, in a way, to see Ilgaz lose it, to head butt the monster.

Osman is the worst interviewee ever. He just kept babbling on while the potential boss was sort of looking askance at him. Was it supposed to be because he's nervous about having helped Ceylin bury Kesik or does he want to get a job so badly he doesn't know how to comport himself?

Derya digging and then finding Pars' remaining hand was just ghastly. They sure jerked us around for nearly a week, letting us think he might be getting married with a prosthetic hand or something.

I loved Derya slapping that piece of crap in the interrogation room. I wished she'd used a closed fist.

Sigh. Now I'm starting to lose hope that Ilgaz having been killed was a red herring.

Again, thanks so much for these excellent recaps, dondi. ITA in how painful the last couple of weeks has been.
 

Vuelve Pt 1

-Nuria and “hot pants girl” ( sorry I seem to always forget her name) are talking with Chalo and Eugenia about the latest on the search for Esmeralda. Seems the neighbors of Esmeralda and Mario know, and have “seen things” but none have gone to the police. Seems Mario brought home some plastic bags on the day of Esme’s disappearance and placed them in his car. They don’t want to tell Angustias about their findings yet..

-Chelo is still with Jacinto who really wants her to leave Fausto and be with him, but she starts having those thoughts of Fausto saying that he will kill Jacinto, so she tells him no. They start making out again..

-Ray asks Rosalia, yet again, to marry him, and she harshly tells him no. He is taken aback by her response and she finally tells him the truth, that she left her husband not the other way around. Her husband became very abusive so she took her kids and left. Ray is very understanding and doesn’t blame her. We haven’t been introduced to her other child, but she did mention a name to Ray..

-Dinner time at the Zepeda’s, and Braulio will start assuming his role as president tomorrow. He tells the family that he will be instituting a new and different way of doing things. Lianna is somber during dinner and sourly inputs that Roberto will be a hard act to follow. Santi then joins them for dinner..

-Over at Rosalia’s they’re talking about Esme and the robbery. Ray comes in and announces that he and Rosalia are a couple and Rosalia shares her happiness by saying that Nuria has a boyfriend too. Chalo isn’t thrilled. Angustias comes in and asks if Chalo found out anything about Esma. He says no..

-Martha decides to write that letter to her daughter, and seems to be more at peace. Shame it took Roberto’s death for her to become kinder and more objective about things. Aida is happy that she’s taking this step.

-The brat Violetta goes to see her Dad. He’s very happy to see her and glad that Santi has looked out for her and given her a job. He lets it slip though that Santi was in prison..

-At breakfast, the Zepeda’s hear about the robbery, and Amelia decides to go to the store and thank all the employees, especially the “brave woman” who notified the police. She’s also taking Andres/ Juan with her..

-At the office, Braulio has a meeting and asks Valentin to leave since he isn’t a part of the executive board. Valentin reiterates that his stocks have all gone to Andres/Juan and that Amelia will be overseeing those stocks. Braulio still gets snappy and tells Valentin to “git.” Martha chastises him a bit, but he doesn’t care. He then announces to everyone that Lianna is the new VP of something or the other..

-Nuria and Chalo are in the courtyard discussing Esme when Santi shows up to take her to breakfast. Chalo starts with his nonsense again about Santi better be good to Nuria and gets in Santi’s face. Santi commences to whooping that azz much to Nuria’s disappointment. After telling Santi multiple times to stop, Nuria walks off in a huff. But Chalo, who suffers from severe obtuseness, still hasn’t had enough. Ray saves him from getting his butt kicked any further..

-Tigre tells Braulio that Gaitan is dead. Braulio just wants to make sure that Gaitan’s death can’t be traced back to him. Tigre reassures him that it won’t be. Braulio then orders him to find Nuria..
-At the store, Santi is trying to calm Nuria down. She says that she’s never seen that side of him, and basically never wants to. She says that he’s her boss, and she’s his employee and they shouldn’t be in a relationship….he kisses her senseless with a bunch of “sorry’s” thrown in to sway her——- it works for now..

-Amelia arrives at the store, but Andres/ Juan is too busy playing his video game and doesn’t want to go in with her. She says okay, goes into the store and Nuria recognizes her immediately from the magazine as Braulio’s wife. She is “muy impactada.
 

Vuelve Pt 2

-The brat, talking to her Dad is more concerned with Santi. Her Dad realizes that she wasn’t really interested in seeing him or having a relationship with him and says so. She says that she only came because she could’ve gotten killed during the robbery and wanted to tie up loose ends pretty much. He still tells her that he’s happy she came and that he loves her….

- Jacinto gets the lead he’s been waiting for, that the DNA of the dead boy doesn’t match Andres’. The Doc is worried about his own skin, and Jacinto reassures him that no one will know about his involvement . He texts Chelo and tells her to contact him ASAP! Her psycho jailer husband notices the look on her face when she gets the text and asks her who it’s from. She thinks of a quick lie, but he wants to see the text. Thankfully he gets a phone call from someone when he goes to look at the text, and Chelo hurries out….

-Rosendo tells Santi that he’d better lay low cause his sister in law is there talking to the employees about the robbery. Santi agrees….

-Nuria is really emotional at her meeting with Amelia. Amelia is so nice and kind that she actually has Nuria crying. Amelia later chastises Rosendo and tells him that he should’ve given her the day off because she’s so upset. Rosendo then takes the opportunity to tell Amelia that Nuria’s child was recently killed. Now Amelia is muy impactada and gasps at the news…..

-Martha and Aida give the letter to the woman where Martha’s daughter was adopted. Both look “hopeful.”

-Lianna is well on her way to becoming a wino. I don’t know if she’ll be able to handle her part in Roberto’s death. Earlier in her conversation with Braulio, he told her that they won’t be able to have anymore “get together’s”—- not that she gives a flying rats azz—-and also shared how having a relationship with that “brat” Andres/ Juan will help him in his quest to take total control of the company. Lianna was slightly taken aback, but definitely not surprised. Braulio is an opportunistic scumzoidian….. How’d he get that way???

Chelo VM texts Jacinto and tells him that she can’t meet him just yet cause Fausto is home….Fausto’s singing in the shower….what a happy psycho he is, lol……

-Diego made a call to the police about Andres/Juan, but hung up quickly cause he didn’t know Andres/ Juan’s real name….

-Nuria and Eugenia are in the back of the store, and Nuria is still crying over her meeting with Amelia. Santi appears and asks her what’s wrong, why is she crying? Nuria starts to tell him “a truth” that she hasn’t shared with him yet……

Well, both Chela and Chalo are annoying and dim. Santi got To let some of his frustration out on Chalo. Maybe a haircut would help Chalo see the reality that he is no competition for Strapping Santi .
The writers are teasing us with how close and Andrea\Juan got to Nuria.

Lucio: “Parla and Cinar spread the information about the body burial pretty quickly.” Yep, see “dumb” reference above. “Little to cheer about lately.” I’m afraid it will get darker and they will crush us at the end.

novelera: Ah, the “art of translation”! I thought I heard “öğle yemeği” which is lunch. By itself, “yemek” or “yemeği” is “meal”, but it could be used for “dinner”. The specific term for dinner is “akşam yemeği”. As recapper/translator, I stuck with lunch. ITA, dinner would be worse than lunch! Ceylin picked a non-romantic place to eat.

“I enjoyed Eren helping Ozge with her statement.” Me, too! Eren is a prince and Uğur Aslan has been outstanding in the role.

“I also wondered how Eren knew which toothbrush to choose.” He took the blue for a boy? I always use a blue brush. He would be wrong in my house.

Susan, this was episode 23. Hahaha, and yes, Chalo could definitely use a haircut——- and a lobotomy. That brain of his is stuck in the same mode. I’m hoping tho, that him and Santi become friends even though Santi is already the resident hunk with brains and brawn. He didn’t really use them brains yesterday tho. But I do understand him getting pushed too far by Chalo……..

A bit late to the party. Thanks so much, carmella, for another fine recap. Maybe I'll copy and paste this comment when the page turns late Thursday.

We saw Santiago's warmth toward Andres/Juanito at dinner. Just natural and easy, not forced like Narcissist Braulio.

Yes, Martha is changing and less needy and weird. Her hairstyle is even better. Although, SO many of the cast appear to wear wigs. Martha, Santiago, Amalia. At the beginning I thought Amalia's hair might be her own, but now it's in a 60's flip that doesn't move when her head does.

Loved "severe obtuseness" re Chalo. For me personally I loved the beatdown. He's put his hands on Santi more than once, besides all the insults. I think Nuria was in the wrong chastising him. I guess that's the automatic female protagonist's aversion to any kind of violence. But Chalo richly deserved it.

Yep, Violeta is intolerable. Her papi caught on fast that she was only wondering how Santi knew him as part of her hopeless campaign to get Santi to even look at her twice. I can't think of how she will use the prison card, except maybe with Nuria. Rosendo knows. And Chema didn't say that Santi was a Zepeda.
