I will put up another brief recap in an hour or so of Monday's show. Really surprised they went with the usual TN lineup on Christmas Day.

Tuesday, part 1 of 2

Fausto now thinks the baby probably has his nose and wants to take him home right away. It’s always all about Fausto; letting the baby’s lungs mature a bit is less important than his proof of testosterone. I was actually hoping she’d have a girl.

Chelo, after a hissy fit, manages to see the baby. But of course she has to moan and cry a bit.

Casandra says awful things to Martha, hinting that her mother eventually got cancer because Martha gave her up. Like a lot of telenovela characters she never seems to absorb truths that are told to her over and over. In this case the truth that Martha was given a choice: abort or give up the baby. She was only 15. And, if she’d done what her parents really wanted and aborted, Casandra wouldn’t be around to be a total brat.

Liana keeps trying too hard, trying to convince Santi they should look for a bigger apartment. Later she tells Martha she’s pretty sure he’s going to “put a ring on it.”

Amalia talks with Mariana some more about Braulio. She wants Mariana to go before a judge to help her get a divorce.

Wow. Not sure how this happened, but Braulio and Celia are hooking up. She tries her best, but it’s pretty clear she’s going to get a big fat nothing out of this sleazy affair. Before he shows up at Diego’s apartment, we see her hide some money, maybe something from the pyramid scheme.

Tigre takes a picture of Juandres while he’s playing with some animal figures.

I love how these babies in incubators in telenovelas are always big and plump.

Amelia tells Martha about what Braulio did to Mariana. At first Martha isn’t buying it.

Santi and Mariano talk. Mariana chuckles about it’s usually the father of a daughter talking to the boyfriend instead of the son talking to his mother’s boyfriend. He assures Santi that he knows Martha is still mourning Roberto and is not ready for anything else.

Ugh. Fausto puts a move on Carmen, actually telling her what she needs is a man for her to get over her “doubts”.

Nuria gets the photo of Andres that Tigre took, along with a note saying, “I know where your child is.” Euge figures it out that whoever sent the photo knows Nuria. And that Andres may not be far away.

Braulio comes home to a not very warm reception. Amalia gives him a slap that almost knocks him off his feet. He moves toward her in a threatening way, but Santi stops him. Martha starts yelling at him about trying to buy Mariana’s baby.

Tuesday, Part 2 of 2

Celia is back to trying to win over Diego, probably realizing that landing Braulio won’t work out. It’s really too bad because she and Braulio are perfect for each other.

Nuria is telling Chalo, Carmen and Vicenta about the photo and note she got when Fausto walks up, wondering what’s going on. We see a worried expression as he realizes that: 1. he might be found out as the kidnapper and/or 2. the money train from Amalia would dry up.

Casandra decides to hurt Martha by sneaking out and taking Juandres with her.

Braulio keeps trying to bully Martha and Amalia, but Martha has had enough. She tells him he’s going to give Amalia her divorce, and in a nice way. And he’s not getting custody because she’s realized he’s not the fatherly kind. She ends up telling him to leave. He responds by saying he’ll never forgive her.

The good guys are working out a plan to put photos of Andres all over. Fausto chimes in that the police are corrupt. He’ll handle this for them.

Liana tells her assistant she doesn’t plan to be giving Santiago any children.

Carmen tells Euge about Fausto asking her out. Hopefully Fausto is, as my mother used to say, showing his heinie enough to get the good guys more and more suspicious of him.

Ezequiel shows up at Diego’s apartment, and Celia looks seriously scared.

Casandra has taken off with Juandres, leaving one of those pillow fakes in his bed. The next thing we see is her lout of a boyfriend racing through streets at top speed, sucking on some alcohol. Juandres is really scared, and Casandra realizes what a dumb move this was. But there’s a really nasty car crash. Just then Nuria gets a spidey sense that something is wrong with her child.

There’s two characters I am really sick of: Consuelo and Tigre. Fausto is awful, but he’s awful in a good actor kind of way. I just can’t stand Consuelo’s moaning. She could have had an ounce of courage weeks ago, but no. And I just don’t like the whole Tigre in the closet gloating part of the plot.

Thank you Novelera! I laughed at Fausto when he was having the 'is it just me or does that baby not look like me?' discussion with Ro. It's just ridiculous enough to be funny. Fausto is a complete idiot, he's less amusing with his whole 'you just need a man to change your mind' crap! I really hope he doesn't hurt Carmen.

I'm getting tired of Cassie! I try to give teens, especially grieving teens a lot of leeway because they have time to learn, grow, and change; but taking Juandres on a joy ride was just too far!!! It's one thing to sulk, lash out, and break a few rules, but to endanger a young child just to be a brat is a whole different level.

I kind of like Tigre, he makes me laugh, the whole plotline is tired and way over-recycled but I can take him easier than Chelo or Cecelia. Sending 'I know where your son is' pics to Nuria is cruel though. I did notice in that scene with Juandres though, that it seems he and Tigre have bonded at least somewhat, Juan didn't seem scared of him this time and even smiled when they exchanged their little mock gunfight gestures.

I was surprised and somewhat annoyed when Amelia blurted out the whole baby buying story to the whole family. Marianna was clearly still scared of Braulio and trusting Amelia with her secret and the first thing Amelia does is tell everyone including Braulio that Marianna told her the truth! It's nice that Martha backed Amelia up and took her side though. Martha's new plan is that Amelia will get divorced but continue to live there in her home with her ex-husband's mommy, because that is Juan's home!!! LOL Sounds like a nightmare to me, but I guess after it's final and Amelia has custody she can do whatever she likes. I can just hear Martha threatening to take custody away from her and give it back to Braulio if she doesn't like Amelia's decisions, the same way she did with the Presidency and threatening Braulio. Martha giveth and Martha taketh away! Yikes.

I will post recaps for Weds and Thurs night episodes this week again. I might have to do just Thurs in Jan when things are supposed to get busier at work, but I'll play that by ear.

Novelera, thank you very much for that spicy recap of all the dirty dealings. I haven't had a chance to watch yet , but now I will know exactly what is going on. Still making merry here ......

So , now we have a Mariana and a Mariano???

Ah yes, Fausto and his enormous ego are just the thing for Carmen. He certainly is a legend in his own mind.

Diana is going to go BSC when Santi drops her like a hot potato as we all know he will as soon as he reunites Nuria with her son and she forgives Sant. Susan
 

Vuelve – pt1

Braulio barges in to see Andres but finds Sapo having coffee with mommy. Sapo lied to Martha about everything – his name, his business, etc. They have the obligatory thinly veil pleasant conversation until Braulio pulls Sapo away to talk alone.

Liana is caught going through Tigre’s room and finding his closet. I expected him to kill her on the spot, but he didn’t. Liana asks all about the family photos in the creepy closet and Tigre flashes back to the fire and killing daddy (presumed daddy). Tigre doesn’t answer any of Liana’s questions and just says if he goes down, she’s going with him. Liana isn’t done though; she says get rid of Nuria and I’ll forget what I saw here. Tigre continues to say he has his own leverage but Liana concludes the conversation with, do what I say, or else!

Santi and Alberto arrived somewhere with guns drawn? They decide to hide the guns though and join a group of guys drinking beer and playing cards? Fight ensures… I forgot what these two were up to. They are looking for a ‘Ricardito’ as well. I’m sure the rest of the episode will make it clear but I must have been distracted last night when they were planning this.

Everyone starts to question Fausto’s conduct, but Chelo lies and says everything is fine, Fausto is just worried about the baby.

Diego comes to the school and shows Amelia the note that Cece left. He asks her to watch Danita while he looks for Cece, he’s worried that Cece is in danger. Amelia is surprised to learn Cece works at Zepedes.

Euge and Carmen are at Zepedes and Euge is surprised that Cece missed work without calling, she’s going to have to write her up. Carmen offers to stay late in Cece’s place so Euge can leave early and be with Chalo, but it’s clear Euge isn’t as eager as she once was to spend time with Chalo. They are just starting to discuss when Chenta walks in, thinking they can lend her some fancy clothes to wear to an interview, but Euge and Carmen are confused.

Nuria and Chelo talk about Andres and her reopening the case. Chelo worries when Nuria makes it clear that she is going to look for Andres nearby. After all, someone must be close by if they know her and are sending her notes, Andres isn’t in the United States, she rightfully concludes.

Braulio and Sapo go to chat. We all know how this goes, but let me summarize:
Braulio: Stay away from my family, if you need to talk to ME, you call ME, I don’t want you near my family.
Sapo: I want my drugs back NOW!
Braulio: I’m working it out, I just need a few more days, be patient. (Braulio’s flashback says things are not at all working out)
Sapo: If you don’t get me the drugs, I will kill your whole family!

Marta and Aida talk about everything going on with Braulio and are rehashing with Ari shows up with his parents to apologize. He takes full responsibility for the accident!!! Not his tune with Cassie earlier.

More of Santi and Alberto playing thugs, I guess they’ve found the guys who actually did the kidnapping, I forgot what they looked like. They get to the main guy and pull a gun on him, demanding to know where the kid is that they kidnapped from Nuria Gracia. The thug isn’t actually playing dumb since he doesn’t actually know anything, but he tells them he knows nothing and the only interesting tidbit is that he also told this same story to Consuelo, Fausto’s girlfriend!!! So now Santi knows, Consuelo was somehow involved.

More talk between Chelo and Nuria now watching the baby and they learn Fausto hasn’t been there. Chelo doesn’t care and tells Nuria that she knows how much she suffered when Andres’ father left her alone, but she doesn’t feel the same; if Fausto abandoned Chelo, he’d be doing her a favor!!!

We didn’t hear Marta’s answer to Ari, but she doesn’t sound forgiving as she discusses briefly with Aida after they left. Braulio and Sapo interrupt, and Aida heads off as Sapo leaves. Braulio and Martha have another argument, she didn’t tell him about Juandres’ accident vs. Martha telling Braulio he’s cut off, he crossed the line when he tried to buy the baby.

 

Vuelve – pt2

Chenta did get her loaned clothing after all! She has a job interview and Euge and Carmen hooked her up, but she has to be careful and return the clothing like new or Euge will be in big trouble! As Chenta leaves, Diego arrives asking about Cece. They tell Diego they don’t know anything, which is true of course, but they agree to call him if they hear from her.

Amelia and Raquel take care of Danita and Amelia doesn’t want to talk about Diego, but Raquel points out that even as she tries not to talk about him, she says his name every third word. It’s obvious that she’s still in love with him. Unfortunately, girl talk is interrupted by stupid Fausto arriving!!! Someone should just shoot him already and do Chelo a favor! I don’t need to tell you what Fausto wants, it’s money of course.

Santi isn’t satisfied with Ricarditos, ‘I know nothing’, and a good ol’ fashion shootout ensues! This is so distracting to me, I’m supposed to believe these non-criminal businessmen can hold their own with half a dozen or more thugs?? They make it out alive.

Braulio and Tigre talk about Sapo being at the house and Braulio buying time, he needs to get Sapo out of the way. Tigre says he can’t kill the head of a cartel, but Braulio says he can turn him into the police! He tells Tigre to watch Amelia and Juandres closely now that he’s no longer in the house and Tigre suggests that it could have been the secretary Rosi, who gave Sapo Brualio’s address, she’s out! Braulio is tired of her anyway, she’s to be replaced; Tigre is to find her replacement.

Fausto does tell Amelia about ‘Consuelo’ receiving an anonymous note saying they know where Andres is, Fausto points out that ‘they’ already knew where he was, but it’s a new photo. Fausto plants the idea that Diego could have done it to mess with them. Amelia is dumbfounded and has no idea who could have done it. She’s worried that Fausto could have told other people that she adopted ‘his’ son. Amelia thinks it’s crazy to think Diego is involved, he’s done nothing but help, but Fausto’s stupid seed is planted…. sigh

Chenta gets ready for her interview and tells her son that he will be proud of her from now on.

Liana thinks back to Tigre’s ‘satanic closet’ as she called it, she’s going to find out what he’s hiding. She calls Santi to ask about dinner, but he tells her nothing except he can’t do dinner, he practically hangs up on her.

Nuria is at her ladies meeting and wants to march to demand the authorities help her find her son. It’s been almost a year! They will plaster the area with photos. The ladies comment that Martha hasn’t been there recently and they think she settled her conscious and dumped them. Chalo’s mom offers to look for Martha, but Nuria says no, she doesn’t need that woman!! The protest is being organized for tomorrow.

Martha is in the hospital with Cassie, telling her she is going to have an operation, they are just waiting for the swelling to go down. Cassie starts her bratty rant saying to just tell her whether she is going to walk again, yes or no. None of this maybe crap, just tell her the truth. Martha tells her to pipe down and not talk to her like that! What is going to happen is up to Cassie! She created this little escape and got herself hurt, it’s time for her to take responsibility for her actions!! (I can’t believe I’m typing this but go Martha!)

 

Vuelve – pt3

Amelia learns from Raquel that today isn’t the first time Fausto has come to see her in the last couple months. She searches for and finds the letter that Fausto signed promising to leave her alone. Just as Raquel is asking more questions, Diego arrives and asks if Amelia is alright.

Braulio and Cece – ugh…. She’s trying to convince him to buy her a house/apartment/love nest. Braulio tells her that is only woman is Amelia. Cece tries her seduction techniques on Braulio, but it doesn’t work, she tries being threatening instead, but another no go. Braulio gets angrier and angrier and finally slaps her! Cece is on the floor motionless, and we get the slow eerie music as Braulio is clearly wondering if he just *itchslapped Cece to death!!! (My guess is no, but that would be almost funny).

But we are back from commercial, and Braulio tries to wake Cece but can’t. He calls Tigre to come immediately!!! Maybe she hit her head on the nightstand? What I saw, wasn’t violent enough to kill her….

Santi goes to jail to tell his buddy all about his research and his suspicions about Chelo. They discuss Violeta’s troubles and Santi assures he’s doing everything he can to help her.

Diego asks Amelia about Fausto’s visit, and she tells him about the anonymous letter and asks if he sent it to Chelo to scare her?

Nuria thinks back on Santi’s offer to help her. Santi meanwhile is at home with Liana and he’s going to shower, she asks to shower with him, and he says sure. While they are enjoying their shower, Nuria calls and gets no answer.

Santi seems to be hearing that old song , " So, if you can't be with the one you love , shower with the one you're with . " Very pragmatic of him. True love.

Yikes , Has Braulio killed annoying, grasping Cece so easily ? Now what ?
