Steve, Secretos de Sangre will be replaced by another Turkish dizi entitled Amor Imposible. I still can't get over the fact that Telemundo chooses to air El Señior de los Cielos again at 9PM. That's what will replace Vuelve when it finishes up. Seems like they're aiming for the ratings achieved by the earlier time slot despite the violent content.

Here's another quickie. I can hardly stand to look at Consuelo. She whines and weeps through telling Nuria about the pregnancy, lying to her as well as to Fausto about how far along she is.

Tania tells Martha she wasn't adopted until adolescence and pretty much jerks Martha's heart out. She also tells her about having a grandchild, something that Martha tells Mariano later on.

Braulio continues to treat Tigre like crap. We know Tigre tolerates this berating for the vengeance, but Braulio is pretty stupid not wondering why Tigre takes this all the time. Braulio wants "something" done about Tania.

Diego and Amalia talk about Braulio's threat to get custody of Juanito. More kisses.

Liana tells her assistant that she wants Nuria to appear awful to Santi.

Rai has a tumor. From what the doc said, it sounded like a prostate problem, but we don't know if it's cancerous yet. I don't have a prostate, but does a problem there make your lower back hurt?

Braulio gets some paper work with "murderer" written on it and in Roberto's style of printing. He goes ahead and signs the contract for the crappy textiles.

Tania finally embraced sobbing Martha and forgives her. They must have had an extra makeup person on hand to touch up Laura Flores from all the weeping. I guess they could afford it because half the cast wears wigs, cutting down on hair stylists.

Chalo shows up, pleads his case to Nuria and then kisses her. Violeta, who never does a lick of work because she has to watch Nuria, takes a picture and sends it to Santiago. Later Euge tells the brat that she knows about what went on with Rosendo and to back off.

Amalia agrees to give Fausto some $$, but needs a couple of days. Hope something happens to prevent this.

Celia comes back. How did she know where Diego works? She's all smiley and has brought Diego's child (forgot her name). She must have been dumped in the U.S.

Tigre runs over Tania while her daughter looks on. Looks bad, but maybe she'll make it.

Santiago takes Liana to bed. Can we expect a pregnancy soon?

Everyone except Nuria goes to a novena for Chalo's sister. Braulio shows up to plead his case, taking off his wedding ring. Looks like he's in the process of raping her when the show ends. Hope this is a red herring and she knees him in the jewels!
 

Secrets #129 part 1

Turgut has shot Ilgaz and is thinking now what do I do? Omer calls him. [does he have telepathic powers?] I couldn’t help doing it, Turgut says, he found out right after you were released. I did it. [In the Turkish, Turgut blames Omer for immediately going to Haluk upon his release.] Keep calm, Omer replies. Turgut confesses, I shot Ilgaz. Omer asks if Ilgaz is still alive. Turgut doesn’t know. Omer asks, where are you?

Ceylin arrives at Parla’s location. Parla?! Auntie! Parla’s hands are covered in blood, and she wipes them on herself. Ceylin finds her and gasps at the sight. I killed him, Parla cries, he’s dead! Please help me! She continues to cry and plead for help.

Omer and Turgut stand over Ilgaz. Omer calmly tells Turgut to go back to work. What will you do, Turgut asks. You left the courthouse together, Omer replies, you asked him for a ride, he gave it to you, and you didn’t see him after that. Go look for him everywhere. Turgut asks, and the gun? Omer says he will take care of it. Turgut starts walking.

Parla is hysterical. Ceylin is in shock. Will Ceylin cover up for her niece or call the police? Place your bets now.

Meanwhile, Omer has managed to place Ilgaz in that dumpster we saw. He sends a text from the DA’s phone: “meet me at the container near the cemetery. Watch out for Ceylin.” He places the phone in the dumpster. What a sad end for a DA, Omer says, the story ends where it began. He closes the lid.

The Erguvans arrive at the backpack location. Where’s Parla? What was she doing here? Osman asks Eren, did you find anything? We didn’t see her, Eren replies, we looked but didn’t find her. Aylin asks, where’s Ceylin? She should be here. Eren gets the text Omer sent. He wonders what that means and calls Ilgaz. The dumpster rings. Eren gets a bad feeling.

Ceylin decides on the coverup. She wipes Eyup’s bloody phone on her white shirt using a plastic bag and places it in his hand. She picks up the knife with the bag. Get up, she tells whimpering Parla, Get up! Let’s go! Quick! Parla places her bloody hands on Ceylin’s sleeves.

Eren has the backpack sent for examination. Umut says that the cameras in the area weren’t working. IT is investigating. Eren gives the order to check cameras in the surrounding stores and neighborhood. He tells the family he has to go and—he tells Tugce she’s in charge! Call me if there’s any news. [he knows that Tugce is the only one in the group that has any common sense.] Eren calls Ceylin, but she doesn’t answer.
Ceylin and Parla make a quick getaway from the scene.

Turgut returns to the courthouse. [Did he walk all the way back?] He heads to Ilgaz’s office and hesitates at the door. Office is empty. An assistant shows up. Turgut asks, where is DA Ozcan? He’s not here. DA Ilgaz? He’s not here either. Turgut wants Yekta’s deposition. I’ll sign the request and we’ll send him to the judge, he says.

Turgut walks to his office, locks the door and rests his head against it. [yes, you ruined a whole bunch of lives with what you did.] He sits. He starts to shake. He tries to compose himself. [Too much guilt, fear, shame—whatever, take your pick.] He video calls his wife and tells her to start packing. I had a loose end [a very long one called Ilgaz] to tie up, he says. Nergis is thrilled. Our daughter will live.

Turgut is overcome with emotion. Yes, she will live, he replies. Nergis turns the phone towards Ipek. It’s over, she tells the little one, your dad will save you. He’s a hero. Turgut gives a wave. He turns the phone over and breaks down.

 

secrets #129 part 2

The guard comes for Yekta. Yekta thinks he’s being released. You’re going to court, the guard says. It must be a joke, Yekta replies. Where’s DA Ilgaz? He’s out. His wife, Ceylin Kaya? The guard doesn’t know. Ask upstairs, he says. Yekta asks to call his lawyer. No answer. He asks to make one more call. He wonders, why am I going to court if DA Ilgaz isn’t here?

No answer on the second call. Yekta starts to worry. What’s going on? Where are these people? Yekta asks, one more call… I promise. He calls Lacin. They’re taking me to court, he tells her. It’s only a matter of time before I’m arrested. He explains he made a false confession. Ilgaz and Ceylin are nowhere to be found and only they know it’s a lie.

Lacin tells Yekta that Parla is missing, and everyone is looking for her. He’s ticked and thinks everyone should worry about him instead . I only have one phone call, he says, if a decision is made, I’m ruined! I don’t want to be the guilty one in this. I guess I’ll have to handle this myself. He hangs up on her. Yekta heads upstairs with the guard.

Ceylin tries to get Parla to calm down. She gives her niece the script. You got out of school and went home. You don’t know where you left your backpack in the fire. You lost it there. You came home without your bag or any money. You walked and didn’t tell anyone, not even Tugce. Ceylin says she checked the app and no one is at home. I’ll drop you off close and you’ll walk the rest of the way home. Come to your senses and don’t bother anyone.

Parla starts crying again about Eyup. I killed him, just like his brother Serdar! Ceylin tells her to shut up. You didn’t do it, she tells Parla, you didn’t even see Eyup. No! No! No! Parla shouts, I’m not running away this time! [but she already left the scene.] You’ve been through a lot because of me, I won’t run away this time!

I said no, Ceylin replies. He kidnapped me, Parla cries, he was going to do bad things to me, he threatened me! I protected myself! I won’t run. I’ll confess. Don’t talk nonsense, Ceylin shouts, listen to me! Parla reaches for Ceylin’s phone. Ceylin grabs it back. Don’t be stupid, she yells, you’ll have to run away! If you add this to Serdar’s trial, I won’t be able to save you! You’ll be there for years!

I’ll find a way, Ceylin says. How, Parla asks, He died there. Ceylin repeats, I’ll find a way. [well, you’re off to a great start… not!] Go home now, you won’t tell anyone. Not even Tugce. Promise me. Parla is silent. Ceylin asks her again to promise. Parla promises. Ceylin starts driving again.

Eren pulls up to the dumpster site. No one is around. He looks uneasy and makes a call. Ilgaz’s phone rings in the dumpster. Eren is shocked. He slowly walks over to the dumpster. He pulls a glove from his pocket and puts it on. He opens the lid. It’s Ilgaz. It’s devastating. Ilgaz? Ilgaz? Kardeşim?

The EMTs take Ilgaz out of the dumpster. Eren jumps into the ambulance with Ilgaz. Ilgaz is still alive. But you know, his pulse is weak, he’s lost a lot of blood. Eren gives some of Ilgaz’s med info, blood type O neg, illnesses? No. Allergies? No. Eren holds Ilgaz’s hand and implores him to be strong. May God forgive us, he cries. Ilgaz… canım benim… kardeşim benim… Eren finds Ceylin’s necklace in Ilgaz’s hand. He drops the necklace into a glove.

 

secrets #129 part 3

Yekta goes before the judge. The judge notes Yekta already gave his account and confessed. Yekta asks if it was DA Ilgaz who brought him here or another DA. The judge says it was AG Turgut. Yekta proceeds to tell the judge about the fake confession plot to catch the criminals. I sacrificed myself so justice could be served, he says. I spent two days in jail, all in the search for true justice.

Are you refuting your testimony, the judge asks. Yekta says yes. I deny my crime and my deposition. If you ask the DA (Ilgaz) he’ll confirm it. Therefore, there is no reason for my detention. I request to be released, Your Honor.

Turgut is outside the judge’s chambers when Yekta comes out. Yekta asks, where is Ilgaz Kaya? I wish I knew, Turgut replies, I’m looking for him too. Yekta walks away. Turgut goes to see the judge. He respectfully asks why he released Yekta. The judge says he isn’t a flight risk. We have his address, and he’s also a lawyer. He remains a suspect. If he’s found guilty, he will be punished.

The ambulance arrives at the hospital. Ilgaz is covered up. He’s dead? No… how could this be? [Well, all I can say is we didn’t get to see him die. No cardiac arrest, no efforts to save him—a required scene in TNs and dizis.]

Ceylin drops off Parla and reminds her not to forget what she told her. This girl is walking around with blood on her hands and clothes.

Yekta gets his belongings and a goodbye from the guard. He calls Ceylin, who is busy driving and crying in the car. She doesn’t take the call.

Ceylin pulls into a parking space and hurries to her office. She unwraps the bloody knife and places it on a table. She goes to the bathroom and washes up. Her clothes are stained with blood. Eren shows up and bangs on the door. Ceylin! Open the door! I know you’re in there! Ceylin is quietly panicking. Eren is shouting, don’t make me break down the door! She holds the knife in her hand.

Eren breaks the door open. He faces Ceylin—you’re under arrest for suspicion of murder. She holds her hands out for the cuffs. Let’s go, he says. Looks like Ceylin ditched that knife in a planter. No words are spoken as Eren takes her to his car. He sits her in the front seat. How could you, Ceylin, he asks her with contempt. He slams the roof of the car and growls—why?! She looks at him but keeps silent.

Turgut is still shook up. Rafet calls him with the terrible news. Eren got a call from Ilgaz and he went to the place he was told. When he arrived, he found Ilgaz injured. He called an ambulance… the DA died on the way to the hospital.

What are you talking about, Turgut asks, what happened. Rafet doesn’t know. I’m at the crime scene, he tells the AG. Turgut says to send the location, he’s coming. He opens his door and Ozcan is standing there. Turgut asks, where have you been? Ozcan says he had a personal matter that couldn’t wait. [wonder what that was?]

Turgut shares the news—DA Ilgaz was murdered. Ozcan is shocked. Turgut says, let’s go to the crime scene. Turgut stops in the hall and tells Ozcan they should inform Derya. [Ugh, poor Derya.]

Eren brings Ceylin to Forensics. He’s very angry and he’s a bit rough taking her out of the car.

 

secrets #129 part 4

Turgut, Ozcan and Derya arrive at the crime scene. Rafet and a team are there. Turgut asks Rafet, was Ilgaz found here? Eren found him in the dumpster, Rafet replies. He was still alive when the ambulance came. But his heart couldn’t stand it. They tried to bring him back but… he didn’t make it. Mekani cennet olsun – may his place be in heaven. He was a good man. A real man. There’s a lot of blood in the dumpster. Derya sinks to the ground.

Derya asks, does Ceylin know? Rafet doesn’t know and supposes Eren has told her. Who did it, Turgut asks, is there a suspect? Not yet, Rafet answers. He was shot twice. There are some shells. We’re still looking. Ozcan interjects—so we have nothing? Rafet says there are fingerprints from the dumpster. I immediately sent them for analysis. The DA had his phone on him. I sent that, too.

Derya cries. Turgut and Rafet help her. She walks away, leans on the car, gasping for breath.

Rafet tells Turgut that Ilgaz had Ceylin’s necklace, the one she always wears, in his hand. There was long brown hair in it. What does that mean, Turgut asks. Rafet doesn’t know. It can’t be possible, he says.

Eren walks Ceylin down the long hallway. He tells a tech, here’s the suspect. Umut will bring the paperwork. Let’s get started right away. Eren uncuffs Ceylin. The tech takes her inside. Umut arrives with the paperwork. He’s reluctant to hand it over. He tells Eren he analyzed the prints found on the dumpster. Umut takes a breath… they belong to Ceylin.

Eren sinks against the wall.

And we are out.

Oh my, dondi. These Turkish writers are sadistic! I don't know where to start. Thanks again for an excellent recap. Just gutting, really.

Parla, gah! I almost had to mute my television to shut out the whimpering. I know that killing someone (but did she really or did he fall on it) is terrible. But the rather over the top guilt thing doesn't work for me. Is it better to die than to kill?

I knew Ceylin would cover that up. Of course we knew there was blood on her from way back when as Eren pounds on the door. What a twist that it's Eyup's blood! If she'd only just called the police at the scene, so much could have been avoided.

How did the whole Erguvan clan find out where Parla's backpack was found? And when they arrive they all start yapping at once. Such an annoying group.

So Omer the mastermind can hack neighborhood cameras? Umut said the ones in the area of the dumpster were not working.

Ceylin told Parla to say she left her backpack at school. And now the police have it where Eyup's body will be found at some point. So Ceylin's plan isn't going to work. I do sort of see what she meant. Trials seem to take as long in Turkey as they do here, and some of our characters get to walk around free for a long time. So what happened to Serdar would make Parla look a bit like a serial killer.

Well, they should find out tonight that the blood on Ceylin is not Ilgaz's blood.

Is there any chance that Ilgaz is alive and Eren and Rifat are lying to smoke out the killer? I jumped off my sofa when Eren said there was a pulse. How could they be so cruel to show us that and then have him really die. Yikes!

This show is heating up . Diego is still a knight in shining armor ...especially compared to nasty, selfish Braulio . ConseUlo continues to weep and moan . Please do not redeem her , writers . She had a chance to get herself out of the mess she got herself into, but instead she pulled kind, honest cop Jacinto into the mess with her and thus led him to his death.I will be ticked if she is handed a HEA . susan

Gracias, Dondi. I appreciate all the details, but I'm sorry we are now in Crazy Town and you had to cover such awful stuff. First Pars, now Ilgaz. Horrid.

"Will Ceylin cover up for her niece or call the police? Place your bets now." Dondi, I love your commentary. Why oh why does Ceylin always insist on falling on the sword herself? Parla had a right to defend herself against her kidnapper and attacker.

Why in the world would Eren believe that Ceylin stabbed Ilgaz? Could he be working a plan to uncover the true culprit?

Turgut deserves all the hell that comes his way. Shooting a man in the back is the lowest. What a coward.

I can't buy Omer as a mastermind.

Ceylin is driving me loco. She knows that you can never completely remove blood stains. I feel bad for her losing Ilgaz, but at the same time I'm so annoyed with her.

Nooooo! All the foreshadowing about Ilgaz came true. I am so sad and mad. The most righteous characteristics killed....what a waste.
I thought maybe it was a trick, but doesn't seem possible now.
I hope Yekta is truly sincere in helping Ceylin. He is playing it convincingly and seems a bit anguished.
Do we know what is the secret or whatever about Ceylin in her college days?
My heart is heavy.

Thank you Novelera for the recap! I have been super busy this week at work but I'm watching.

It's getting darker which is making it harder to watch. First Chelo was raped/forced to have sex against her will by Fausto. Then Braulio brutally raped Liana, and now an attack on Nuria? Seeing the police actually handcuff Nuria and take her in to the police station for interrogation after she was nearly raped was horrifying - especially to think of this actually happening in real life.

I'm also not a fan of the Santi starts sleeping with Liana again storyline. This is only going to give her more false hope and make her even crazier later when she has to try to keep Nuria away from Santi again! Santi still doesn't love Liana, still has zero feelings for her, and is using her to make himself feel better - our galan everyone! :( I suppose the world is too jaded for the whole idea of if you're in love with one person you won't be sleeping with someone else, but it definitely makes the 'true love' endgame story, less romantic in my eyes.

Susan is right though, Diego is our knight in shinning armor!!! Too bad he has to deal with the returned Cecila. She really just expects him to jump at the opportunity to take her back now that Mr. USA dumped her!!! Such confidence, such delusion!!!

novelera, Aylin has the locator app on her phone and Parla's phone was on. ITA, the Erguvans are annoying and as stupid as heck.

I don't know if Omer hacked any cameras but they never seem to work when our guys need them the most.

Thanks for checking in, Beth S. I want to believe there's some sincerity in Yekta. He also needs Ilcey to clear him of the fake confession. I'm enjoying his scenes with Ceylin. Their chemistry was great as enemies, even greater as frenemies.

They haven't revealed Ceylin's college secret yet. They are running out of time.

I want to believe that Ilgaz is still alive and faking his death to catch the bad guys. I don't know how they will explain this. Neyse... you can't trust the Turks.

Been here, done that—Ceylin is examined by Forensics. She’s thinking this is about Eyup.
Parla whines at home. She’s got rope burns on her wrists and has to cover up with a sweater. She dials the house phone.

The Erguvan group conducts their own search in the backpack area and come up with nothing. What if something bad happened to her, Aylin cries. Her phone rings. It’s from the house. Parla! Where the hell are you?!

Mom, I’m home, Parla answers, where are you? We’ve been looking for you for hours, Aylin shouts, where the hell did you go after the fire? I’m home, Parla replies, I’m waiting for you. Aylin hangs up and tells everyone that Parla is home. It’s a mix of relief and irritation. The cops are told Parla has been found.

A cop tells Turgut that Ilgaz was driven there, then dragged and dumped. That’s what we know from the blood on the ground.

Rafet gets a call. Are you sure about that? Okay, I understand. He goes over to the AG and DAs. This is terrible, there’s more bad news. The prints from the dumpster belong to Ceylin. Eren took Ceylin to the station. When he found her in her office, she was covered in blood.

Turgut is confused once again. Others keep getting blamed for his crimes. Ozcan is ready to believe Ceylin is involved. Derya jumps all over that. Do you realize what you are saying and thinking? You think Ceylin killed Ilgaz? We are still investigating, Turgut interjects, we’ve said no such thing. Don’t bother, Derya replies, this is impossible. She wouldn’t do this! It’s insane! Derya wants to go to the station.

Turgut and Ozcan say this is all so confusing and sad. Rafet makes self-serving comments. DA Ilgaz made it seem like he didn’t like me, but he was very fond of me, and I was very fond of him. [gag.] He goes on about how heartbreaking this is. A shame… we lost a great man. [can we still hope this isn’t so?]

A cop tells Rafet they found the possible murder weapon.

Goksu tells Eren there was skin tissue on the necklace. He asks, do you think the DNA will match the hair found in Ilgaz’s hand? Goksu doesn’t know. Eren tells her to get back to work and keep him informed. He wants the necklace. She hands it over to him.

Back to the dumpster scene. A cop shows where Ilgaz was shot and dragged away. Turgut says to send all evidence to the lab. Ozcan thinks someone might have heard or seen something. Let’s question the neighborhood. Turgut wants to go to the station with Rafet. Rafet says, we have a suspect, let’s find out how and why she killed him.

Parla gets the third degree from her family and friends. Tugce leads the charge. Where were you? Parla tries to shrug it off saying they are worrying too much. Tugce brings up the danger named Eyup. We thought he hurt you! We found your bag and phone. We thought he kidnapped you! Is that why you were gone for hours?

It took a while for me to walk here, Parla answers. Osman questions her, why didn’t you go to a store and call? You didn’t think we’d worry when we found out about the fire? I didn’t think, Parla replies, I thought you’d be home. I’m sorry, I didn’t think it through.

Tugce continues to press her friend. Why did you go so far away? Why didn’t you go to a friend’s house? Why didn’t you tell anyone you left? Parla explains, I left the school and couldn’t find you. When I didn’t see you, I thought you went home. Gul speaks up—it doesn’t matter anymore. Thank God, you’re fine. We are all together now. I’ll make tea and there’s some cake.

Tugce says she’ll make the tea and heads off to the kitchen. Cinar follows her. Tugce bangs the kettle on the garbage pail, taking out her frustrations. Cinar notes, you don’t believe her (Parla) either. What do you think she’s hiding? Tugce doesn’t know but she’s ready to apply a little pressure on her friend to find out. Merve goes to the kitchen and says they are thinking the same.

Umut brings Ceylin to the interrogation room. Eren wonders, how do I question her? How do I get a statement? A guard comes out and says Ceylin asked for paper and pen. She wants to confess.

Eren brings her the paper and pen. You want to confess? Here you are. There’s a lot of tension between the two friends. Ceylin starts writing. Eren leaves the room and watches her through glass as she scribbles a few lines and is done. Eren sends Umut in to check.

Eren comes back into the room. He picks up the paper—what is this? A confession or a doodle? Eren hands it to Umut to place in the file and then he sits across from Ceylin. Tell me everything, he says. How did you do it? She looks at him, no answer. He asks again, how did you do it?

Eren drops the bomb question—how did you kill Ilgaz Kaya? Ceylin is stunned.

Umut walks Derya to the interrogation room. She said she’d confess and Eren is talking to her. Derya snaps back, what is there to confess?! I don’t get it! Do you think Ceylin would kill anyone, much less Ilgaz?! Has everyone lost their minds?

Ceylin has exploded into grief and anger. She throws chairs around, overturns the table. She shouts. Ilgaz! Ilgaz can’t be dead! Eren grabs her arms and yells in her face—you killed him! I saw it myself! Derya and Umut watch the unfolding horror from behind the glass.

He can’t be dead! Ceylin wails, Ilgaz can’t be dead! Eren shouts again, you killed him! I didn’t, Ceylin cries, I didn’t! Eren picks up the evidence bag with Ceylin’s necklace. He slaps it against the wall. He was holding this! He had it in his hand! Eren notices the mark on Ceylin’s neck [where the necklace scratched her when it broke]. You did it, Eren shouts. I didn’t, Ceylin insists. You did! Ceylin is hysterical. I didn’t kill Ilgaz! Eren is enraged. He pounds the wall—stop lying!

Ceylin sinks down. She cries, I killed someone else! Eren asks, who did you kill? I… killed Eyup, she replies, Serdar’s brother. Eren shakes his head and accuses her of lying and trying to throw them off. I’m not lying, she cries, I’m not lying! I wrote it in my statement! Read it! She grabs Eren’s arm and begs, take me to Ilgaz, please!

Eren breaks away, we’ll see about that! Ceylin pleads, take me to Ilgaz, please! He pushes her away. Get back! I’m not taking you anywhere! Ceylin continues to beg. Eren leaves the room and locks the door.

Derya tells Eren this is insane. What’s going on? Eren says he doesn’t know. Ceylin keeps banging on the door. She goes to the glass. Open the door! I want to see Ilgaz! Eren takes Ceylin’s confession and goes. Ceylin continues to meltdown. Derya goes in to comfort her. Ceylin asks Derya to take her to Ilgaz. Please let me see him! Ilgaz can’t be dead. At least let me touch him, she cries, let me hold him. Derya can’t do that.

Eren tries to calm down in the men’s room. He washes his face and stares at himself in the mirror.

Yekta is waiting in Eren’s office. He asks, where are Ilgaz and Ceylin? Are they on vacation? Eren wastes no time in answering. DA Ilgaz was killed, and Ceylin was arrested on suspicion of murder. Okay? Yekta thinks this is a joke. Eren gets angry. He picks up something to throw at Yekta. You and your jokes can go to hell, Eren shouts, get out!

Turgut and Ozcan come to Eren’s office. Yekta hangs by the door to listen. Turgut asks if Ceylin has been questioned. Eren hands over her statement. She says she didn’t kill Ilgaz. She killed someone else. What do you mean she killed someone else, Turgut asks. It’s in her statement, Eren replies, read it. Now if you excuse me, I have to inform Ilgaz’s family. He tells Turgut he’d rather not work on this case. I’ll give everything to Chief Rafet. I’m sure my colleagues will work hard to find the killer.

Ozcan can’t believe Eren doesn’t want to find his friend’s killer. I don’t have the strength, Eren sadly replies. Rafet’s not happy. He says, AG Turgut, we just opened the case and Eren doesn’t know what he’s saying. Rafet tells Eren to go to Ilgaz’s family, support them, and then go home to rest. Come back tomorrow and we’ll solve the case together. [Rafet is a lazy, incompetent jerk.]

Turgut calls for calm. He tells Eren he understands his request and he has the right to make it. Eren explains, I see DA Ilgaz as my brother and Ceylin as my sister. As you can see, my working the case would be unethical. I want to be there for his father, Chief Metin. I want to be there for Cinar and Defne. Turgut gives the okay and his condolences to Eren and everyone else. Mekani cennet olsun. Eren bumps Yekta as he walks out of the office.

Turgut asks Yekta why he’s there. I’m here for my client, Ceylin Erguvan Kaya, Yekta replies, I’d like to know the accusation against her.

Parla’s friends pressure her for the truth. She denies she’s hiding anything. She’s just tired. Long story, short, Parla doesn’t come clean, but she gets pissed at them and tells them to leave her alone.

Omer shows up at the Forensic lab, climbs into an ambulance and drives off. The EMTs notice and start running. [I found this funny]. I guess they are going to chase him in the other ambulance.

Derya takes Ceylin to the interview room. You’ll be able to talk freely there, she says. Derya waits outside the door while Ceylin calls Gul. Ceylin cries and gasps… mom… Gul asks, why do you sound like this? Where are you calling from? What happened? Mom… they said Ilgaz is dead… mom… Ilgaz is dead… Ceylin has to put down the phone.

Gul is thunderstruck. My God, I don’t believe it. She asks, where are you? She walks right out of the house still holding the rag she was using to clean. Ceylin is hysterical again.

Yekta appears and speaks to Derya. I was told Ceylin is with you but… Derya says Ceylin is in the room, calling her family. Yekta says he’d like to speak with her as her lawyer before she testifies. Raised eyebrows from Derya. You’re going to represent her? A lot of water has passed under the bridge, Yekta replies, if you don’t mind. He enters the room.

Yekta asks Ceylin—what happened? She hurries over to him, hugs him tightly and sobs. He’s shocked. Drops his bag. He holds her and he’s clearly affected.

Turgut tells Rafet to go to the address in Ceylin’s statement. Find out if she’s telling the truth. Ozcan wonders why Ceylin would admit killing someone. Rafet notes, besides that, how can she be in two places at once? If Ceylin killed Eyup, then who killed DA Ilgaz? [check Turgut’s guilty look.] If she killed Ilgaz, why would she deny it? This is crazy!

We will only find out if we investigate, Turgut says, check it out. Get going! Ozcan doesn’t understand what’s happening. Turgut wants Ceylin to meet with her lawyer before they question her.

A cop comes in and tells Turgut that the clothes collected from Ceylin were lost on the way to the lab. Ozcan blows his top. How could that happen? The cop says they’ve been looking for hours, and they’ve been declared missing. Turgut bangs the desk. This is unacceptable! Find those clothes! I want those responsible for this mistake! Does evidence go missing, Ozcan asks, someone destroyed it. There’s more to this story…

Yekta asks Ceylin to tell him about her day from the start. From the moment you left the house. Ceylin says she can’t focus, she doesn’t have the strength right now. No one understands the agony I’m in! I just want to see Ilgaz. That’s not possible, Yekta replies. I haven’t explained myself well, everything suggests that you killed Ilgaz.

Ceylin jumps up and screams—that’s impossible! I already said so! I couldn’t have killed Ilgaz! How could I? I loved him very much! It doesn’t make sense! Yekta agrees it makes no sense. So, sit down and tell me everything from the start. Let’s figure out what happened. If you don’t, Yekta warns, I’ll go straight to court, and you’ll be on your own and the killer will go free! He walks over to her and in a softer voice he asks her to sit down and talk. Please. Hadi… come on. Ceylin calms down and sits.

Eren arrives at the Kaya house. He has to steel himself before going in.

Gul shows up at the station. Where’s Ceylin? Has anyone seen her? Umut comes over to her. She asks, where is Eren? I need to see Ceylin, she says, she said Ilgaz is dead. Where is she? Take me to my daughter.

Eren leaves the Kaya house. We didn’t see if anything happened inside. Metin hurries out behind Eren. Metin says he doesn’t understand what Eren was trying to say. What is it, Eren? Eren replies, it’s easier when it happens to someone else, but when it happens to you, it’s very difficult. Metin gets impatient—what is it!

I found Ilgaz in a dumpster, Eren says, he’d been shot… twice. We tried to get him to the hospital, but… we did our best, but… he’d lost a lot of blood. I couldn’t… Eren starts to cry. I couldn’t save him.

Metin is in total shock. He can’t even cry. He tries to hold on but sinks onto the steps. Eren sits next to him and places his hand on Metin’s back. There are no words.

Ceylin has her head down on the table. Yekta tells her, we can prove you didn’t kill Ilgaz, if we prove you killed someone else. We have to find whoever killed Ilgaz and planted the evidence to incriminate you. [ooh, will Yekta think of Omer?] In order to do that, I need something. Anything! Can’t you understand that I need you now more than ever? Ceylin sits up. I don’t care, she says, I just want to see Ilgaz.

Umut lets Gul into the room. The crying starts all over again. Ceylin holds onto her mom. I’m dying, mom! I’m dying, mom! Mom, mom, mom… I can’t breathe… the pain is killing me! Mother and daughter cry. Yekta looks emotional, too.

Metin asks, do you know who did it? Well, Eren replies, we have a suspect, but they are just that. Metin asks who. Eren drops another shocker on Metin. It’s Ceylin. Metin gets up—I’m going to the station! Cinar comes through the front gate. Dad, are you okay? What happened, tell me! Metin has trouble getting the words out. Your brother… Cinar shakes his head. We lost your brother…

No, no, Cinar says. He turns to Eren—what is he talking about? Dad, how? Say something! Is this a joke? Cinar cries and hugs his dad. No… say it isn’t so! Father and son cry together. Ilgaz! Cinar sobs, Ilgaz I’m sorry…

And we are out. I’m emotionally exhausted.

So many unanswered questions. Will they be answered with flashbacks? How did Ceylin's prints get in the dumpster. Likely Omer, but how?

Of course Ozcan believed Ceylin killed Ilgaz. She got his hackles up from the first time they met. He seems like a misogynist to me who couldn't stand such a clever woman.

I'm confused. Was that dumpster that looked all alone by the side of a road near where Ilgaz was shot? I guess I thought the dragged part was his being dragged from a vehicle to the dumpster. I also thought it took a lot of strength to lift Ilgaz into the dumpster.

Why hasn't anyone asked Perla how her backpack, with its phone inside, got to that warehouse looking area and she supposedly walked home from school?

Yep, Rafet is scared s*less at the thought of having to solve such a high-profile murder case without the brains of the police station aka Eren.

That scene of Gul walking out with the cleaning rag in her hand was effective. Shock could do that.

I have a feeling we're on the way to redemption for Yekta.

Yikes! Ceylin's clothes absolved her because the blood is not Ilgaz's. This thing is nuts! OTOH I remember their doing the thing with cleaning her hands and likely fingernails, so there's that.

I had thought, especially with what he said to Yekta, that Omer wanted to get Ilgaz out of the way for two reasons, obviously because of the connection to Haluk. But I thought he wanted Ceylin. Now he seems to be framing her. Spurned guy syndrome?

Just catching up! So much going on, but “tis the season.” Horrified, just horrified too, that after Braulio’s attempted rape of Nuria, she’s the one jailed! His fingerprints are also on the gun, which should indicate that there was a struggle…….and that they could determine pretty quickly. And what exactly was she arrested for??? I don’t get it!

It is darker, and this mistreatment of women is disgusting! Even Santi, although sex with Lianna was consensual, is mistreatment of her. Like you said, he has zero feelings for her, and they’re relaying the message that it’s okay when it is absolutely not! And do you realize that, if Tigre turns out to be Roberto’s son, Liana has slept with all the Zepeda brothers!! She’s just nasty and gives women a really bad name. ITA that she will be even crazier when Santi returns to Nuria, and he’ll overcompensate for being an ass and sleeping with Lianna again in the first place. I find it amazing and strange that he can indisputably defend Nuria’s character, yet totally believe that she’s over him and with Chalo because of a phone pic! Duh-duh dumbass! I did love Lianna telling Violeta, though, that they weren’t friends and to get lost! Just what that brat deserves!

Celia, another one who gives women a bad name! What nerve! Let’s just pick up where we left off, after I cheated on you, embarrassed you, took your daughter away from you, and called you a LOSAH! I love how Diego handled the situation, and it seems that his plan is to tell Amelia what’s going on right away. I like his character! So far he’s the only real man in this story!

Fausto needs to be rendered unconscious by a 2x4—— him and crooked Captain. They are the lowest of low. Chelo just needs to call Fausto’s bluff and stop letting him totally manipulate her! Do what you need to do Fausto, and kiss my Jacinto pregnant butt in the process! She really makes me sick!

Sorry Tania was dying and ended up dying sooner because of Braulio and Tigre. I would say that Braulio might feel bad once he knows that she was dying of leukemia anyway, but NAH! He’ll just justify it by saying he put her out of her misery sooner. He’s gonna go stark raving mad though eventually. Between his father and his sister deaths, he needs too…….

I hope Ray and Rosa make up sooner than later. They’re better together and are the parent figures for everyone in the apt building. I know as soon as they do, though, Rosa’s ex will show up, lol……

I’m starting to like Euge more and more too. Hope she finds her happy, and I’d rather it be with Carmen than Chalo…….or hopefully some other handsome hunk comes along if she’s not into women…….

Thank you, novelera. I've started to mute all the crying, whimpering and sniffling. I can't take it anymore.

We are at the start of the last Turkish ep, #63. So there's 2 hours and 25 minutes left for the wrap up.

IIRC, Ilgaz drove past the dumpster on that drive with Turgut, so maybe it's not far from the shooting. But the cops mentioned a vehicle and dragging. I assumed Omer took the car back to the dumpster site and dragged Ilgaz.

And ITA, it would take a lot of strength to lift Ilgaz into the dumpster, no way Ceylin could do it by herself and maybe a bit difficult for Omer, too. That's a lot of dead weight--no pun intended.

I wouldnt mind a semi-redeemed Yekta. I don't think narcissism can be cured. He's one of the best villains I've seen in a dizi.

Could be wrong, but I doubt we will see Ceylin's clothes again. And she washed her hands first thing when she got to the office. But she stuck the bloody knife in the planter, so there's proof Eyup was stabbed.

"But I thought he wanted Ceylin. Now he seems to be framing her." Hard to follow the twisted thinking of Omer. Maybe he framed Ceylin so he could rescue her at some point and she would be forever grateful? Or maybe it's a scorched earth policy for him now.

I still have to watch last night's ep. I haven't seen Ilgaz's dead body yet so I'll keep hoping he's alive somehow.
