Vuelve. Pt 1

Nuria tells Santi and Braulio,the psycho rapist, to stay the hell out of her life. Braulio still tries to get Nuria to speak with him alone, but she’s had it up to the moon with the Zepeda’s. She tells them that she is resigning. Braulio still tries to get her to listen to him, but she is gonna have her say and that’s it! Braulio really is a psycho of gigantic proportions.

Miss TEARY herself, Chelo, is with Juandres at the same time that Fausto continues his grifting of Amelia. Amelia and Diego demand that Fausto sign an agreement not to bother them again. Fausto scribbles a signature but basically says that “things happen,” so who knows what the future will bring……

Rai is at the doctors about to get his exams and asks the female nurse if he could have a male nurse so that she won’t see his butt, hahaha. She tells him that it’ll be quick and he’ll be sedated anyway……

Martha tells Aida she went to Nuria’s and ended up smacking her. Aida, being the devil’s advocate, asks Martha if she taking out all her emotions following Braulio’s incident, Tania’s death, and Cassandra’s rebellious behavior on Nuria. Martha does appear a little contrite.

Chelo is starting to freak out and runs and hugs Andres, asking him to forgive her, slobbering now and causing Andres to freak out too. She makes such a commotion that Amelia, Diego and Fausto run over to the class to find her all over a clearly distraught Juandres. Fausto grabs Chelo and takes her outta there.

Nuria is finishing up telling Santi and Braulio that they are the worst things that ever happened to her. As she’s leaving, she runs into an ever sanctimonious Lianna who rubs it in that Nuria has lost and calls her a bitch. Nuria says she’s resigning, smacks the crap outta Lianna and tells her not to disrespect her ever again. You could fry an egg on Lianna’s head, she’s so mad!

Martha trying to choose a school that’s closer to the mansion for Cassandra. Cassandra has her 19th freak out moment and storms off.

Braulio and Santi are arguing over Nuria and Braulio says some really nasty things about Nuria liking it rough. Santi is about to whoop that azz when Lianna intervenes and reminds Santi that Braulio is still recovering.

Chelo has a fainting spell at the apartment complex and they get her a doctor. Chalo wants her to go to the hospital but Fausto says absolutely not.

Euge talking to Violetta, questions getting Rosendo fired. Violetta gives her a big line of bull, and naive Euge falls for it. Nuria visits and tells Euge she is resigning. At the same time Rosa calls and tells Nuria about Chelo. She rushes out.

Lianna is with Santi and tries to say, again at nauseam, that everything is Nuria’s fault. Santi defends Nuria and says that they have done a lot to her.. This pisses off Lianna further……

Rai has cancer and needs surgery and chemo, but has no insurance. He’ll have to go to the public hospital if that’s the case.

Braulio and Lianna go at it again about all their crimes. Braulio lets her know that if he goes down, so will she. He’ll tell Santi everything and for sure Santi will believe him over her. He says that they both better hope tha Fabian doesn’t come outta his coma.

The other resident psycho, Tigre, is saying again that the Zepeda’s will pay, but this time Lianna is included in his plan.

Cassandra is missing and they find her at her mother’s house. Mariano talks her into going back with Martha and to give Martha a chance. Cassandra agrees, but she’s not changing schools.






 

Vuelve. Pt 2

The doctor is checking Chelo and wants her to come to his office tomorrow. Fausto is ready to make dust tracks outta Mexico
City, but can’t now. Later at the dinner table, Rosa suggests to everyone that they stay in Mexico City and take Santi’s old room. Nuria, and it seems everyone at the table is in agreement——- except maybe Chalo. Rai is still preoccupied, though, with his diagnosis and still didn’t tell Rosa what’s wrong with him when she asked earlier.

At the hospital it looks like a comatose Fabian is waking up…..maybe he’s Jacinto reincarnated???

Fausto is telling Chelo that it might be a good idea for them to stay in MC so he can get more money outta Amelia when he needs to. Chelo is so upset and ends up saying that Nuria needs to know that Andres is alive. Nuria walks in at that exact moment…….

I'm with you, I don't usually cheer on slaps, but Nuria should have slapped that girl TWICE!!! She deserved it!!!

Nice to see Aida as the voice of reason and Martha willing to at least consider that she may be wrong about Nuria!!! Gives us some hope for the future!

Chalo has finally decided he like Eugenia, let's see how this goes...

I don't want Fausto in MC, lol. I want him far away and off my TV screen but that's wishful thinking. He'll stick around to cause more misery for many many episodes to come. I read the recap before I watched the episode, so I was assuming we'd have some near miss where Nuria didn't hear Chelo's words, but she did!!! She heard Andres is alive!!! So, what next? Does Fausto convince Nuria that Chelo is just hysterical with her pregnancy problems and her guilt over Andres? Or does Nuria at least get to know Andres is alive and get left wondering where in the world he might be like I have been wanting?? I guess we will see.

Cecila trying to guilt Amelia into helping her recover 'her' man and not let the other woman be a home wreaker!!! Really???? Woman you wreaked your own home, you left 'your' man and took his kid to another country, refused to tell him her address, and filed a restraining order!!!! I'm both appalled and somewhat morbidly impressed with this girl's ability to act innocent and put-upon after all she's done.

I still want to know how old Cassandra is supposed to be. She does not look like a teenager to me, she looks mid-twenties easily. Nothing against the actress personally, but she was a bad casting choice to play a teenager. I tried to look up the age of the actress but she's not listed on Wiki yet and IMdb doesn't show her age.

Darcy I completely forgot about Celia asking Amelia to help her get Diego back! Celia definitely has got some nerve, and is making some very big assumptions about Diego’s feelings for her. The toddler playing their daughter sure is a happy and good little girl though! Always smiling and playing.

I’m trying to figure out how Santi and Nuria are going to find their way back to one another though?? It seems really hopeless!

Not sure what episode this is. I’ll have to check the TM website……

Poor Diego. His ex will be relentless in trying to reel him back again until the next guy comes along.

Chelo is on my last nerve . She does nothing but cry and moan. I won't care when the writers try to redeem her . She wanted Fausto , and she got him . I cannot forgive her for getting Jacinto killed .

Nuria is showing Liana that she can give as good as she gets . Nuria will be a lioness when she discovers where her cub is.

Thanks so much, Carmella for the fine recap, together with your spot-on feelings! Yes, we are all completely fed up to our back teeth with Consuelo. I'm pretty sure that cliffhanger will be explained away. I'm pretty jaded about this particular novela's habit of supposedly hooking us in to watch the next day because of a misleading ending. It's too soon for Nuria to know the truth. And idiot Consuelo missed out on every opportunity she had to tell her sister the truth, even when Fausto was nowhere around.

LOVED Liana's getting slapped. I sort of hope Nuria does stay away from the Zepeda retail store. Maybe we'll see less of Violeta. By the way, I spell it this way especially because I just read Isabel Allende's novel of that name. I think the IMBD cast list may have spelled it with two t's. I have a suspicion that one t is the Spanish way and two are the Italian way.

I'm pretty sure Amalia is going to fall for Celia's sneaky game. Amalia is a good person, but she seems to lack a spine. She should have never given Fausto two cents. She should have called on Roberto (Santi's hacker) to dig up all the crap on Fausto, the reason he was booted off the police force, etc. They keep saying how corrupt everything is. If that's the case, a rich woman who legally adopted a seemingly abandoned child would win every time.

And, of course, Rai tells Ros nothing about his very bad diagnosis.

Nuria didn't mince words with the Zepedas, did she? She called Braulio a sick rapist, so Santi knows exactly what happened.

Oh, and Tigre kept a copy of Liana's resignation letter in which she told her padrino everything.

Now what are the odds that Angustias(Chalo's mother) takes Nuria to the support group, and there she meets up with Marta again. So much for staying away from Los Zepeda
 

Secrets #134 Gran Final part 1

Cinar is at his father’s bedside. Are you feeling better? Metin responds, I… how long… have I been like this? Three days, Cinar replies. Metin asks, and the murderer? Cinar looks down. Metin says, look for Eren. Find out what’s going on. Cinar says he’ll call.

Before he does, Cinar gives his father some sad news. I spoke to your doctors. I asked when they thought you’d wake up. They didn’t know. When the ME gave us Ilgaz’s body… we didn’t wait for you, Dad. We couldn’t. We buried my brother. Metin cries.

Turgut waits at the airport. His family arrives in Istanbul.

Meanwhile, Yekta and Ceylin arrive at Turgut’s hotel. He asks for a room. The clerk looks at them and asks, will you be staying together? [lol he’s wondering about the relationship, because of the age difference.] Ceylin quickly states, yes, my father and I will be staying together. [I think Yekta would have liked it if she kept quiet.]

The clerk asks for the IDs. Yekta says his daughter packed them in their bags. We’ll go upstairs and give them to you later. The room is 1,600 TL and Yekta will pay in cash. Room 307, the clerk says as he hands over the keycard.

Ceylin looks at her phone and exclaims, Turgut Ali sent a photo. I think he’s here! Yekta places money in front of the clerk. If you can tell me he’s here, I’ll surprise my friend. The clerk quickly and cheerfully says, yes, he’s staying in room 302. But he went out. What a shame, Yekta replies, we’ll have to visit later.

Yekta and Ceylin head to their room. The housekeeper is making rounds on their floor. Yekta tells Ceylin [Turkish] you were good… if I had a daughter, she would definitely be like you. No, she replies, your children tend to be murderers. I’m sorry, Yekta answers, but Omer is not my son.

Yekta swipes the keycard from the housekeeper’s cart. So easy, he says. He asks the housekeeper how long until she’s done on the floor. Fifteen minutes, she replies, do you need anything? No, Yekta says, we’ll inspect our room. If it’s in order, we won’t bother you. Kolay gelsin.

They enter the room and Yekta calls it miserable and characterless. The suitcase is heavy. Lol. Ceylin says Aylin packed it with law books.

Ceylin sadly shares that she and Ilgaz were going to leave on vacation to Alçatı tomorrow. We picked out the hotel together. We were going to go fishing in the afternoon. Yekta sits beside her. Ceylin adds, we were going to swim in the sea and rest. She tries to hold back tears. We were each going to read a book and tell each other about it. We were going to continue watching a dizi we had started.

God, is this just a dream, Ceylin cries, can I wake from this nightmare? What if I’m in the car and I just open my eyes? Would he be there with me? Yekta reaches out to comfort her, but she waves him off and gets up. She opens the balcony door for air.

Derya and Eren visit Ozge in prison. They ask her to watch security footage from the courthouse. Derya explains, he (Turgut) took the documents from Ilgaz’s office. But I think this recording is from an earlier time, isn’t it?

Ozge looks. There she is with Ridvan in the hallway. Eren tells her to look carefully. When was this taken? She remembers, Ridvan and I argued that day, February 24. She’s sure. His friend’s birthday was the 23rd. That’s why we argued and then we made up that night. Derya says the footage from that day was used to replace the original.

Ozge tells them that the footage is still there. AG Pars had it uploaded to his computer. It’s there, she says, Ridvan told me. Eren is overjoyed, you’ve shared something so important, I could kiss you on the forehead! Derya adds her thanks.

 

Secrets #134 Gran Final part 2

The housekeeper leaves the floor and Yekta and Ceylin head to Turgut’s room. There’s some snark between the two. She reminds him that the room number is 302. I know, he replies. No, she snipes, you’re old, I wanted to remind you. You’re the old one, Yekta answers, my soul is much younger than yours.

They enter and search the room. Unfortunately, the suit has been drycleaned.

Uh, oh. Turgut and family arrive at the hotel. The clerk tells him about the father and daughter looking for him.

Ceylin notices that the tie isn’t with the suit. They search for the tie and find it. Bingo!

Turgut looks concerned. His wife wonders who it could be. He says it’s probably just a colleague. They head to the room. When they get there, Turgut peeks around. The room is in order.

Yekta and Ceylin watch from the stairwell and see Turgut has entered his room. They take the elevator downstairs. Yekta drops the keycard inside. They quickly pass the front desk. Yekta drops off his room keycard and tells the clerk, we didn’t like the room, keep the money.

Eren and Derya return to the courthouse. She says Turgut hasn’t returned yet, but they need to hurry. Eren notes there’s one small detail. How do we get into Pars’… into Turgut’s office if the door is locked? You underestimate me, Captain Eren, Derya replies, you’re talking to Pars’ fiancée. She has the key and lets Eren into the office.

Ceylin and Yekta bring Turgut’s tie to Goksu. How long will it take to get the results? Yekta says if there’s gunpowder, they need to return it so it can be found during a search. This needs to be quick. Goksu understands. Ceylin tells her they will be at the courthouse with Derya and Eren.

Eren comes to Derya’s office with the download.

Osman calls Eren with good news. There was a transfer of funds. Turgut isn’t getting the money, but money was sent abroad from one of Haluk’s companies to a clinic. I called and asked a question on behalf of Turgut. Eren asks if he has any paperwork. Osman says he took a picture. Eren says that’s great, send it to me now!

Derya finds footage that shows Turgut entering Ilgaz’s office. Ceylin and Yekta arrive. The whole gang watch Turgut leave the office with a file in hand. Eren shares the news that Haluk sent money to a clinic in Germany for Turgut.

Goksu calls Eren. The tie is full of gunpowder residue! Yes! Everything is coming together…

Our group heads to Judge Melek’s office. Surprise, DA Ozcan is in there. He explains, I was informing her about the Belikduzu warehouse case. I found out who held the team back for an hour. It was AG Turgut. Derya tells Melek, we have filed charges against Turgut. Review the file and the case will move forward. The judge looks at the file.

Luggage is loaded into a taxi and as Turgut’s family gets into the cab, police cars pull up. Eren gets out of a car. Derya, Yekta and Ceylin are at the scene, too. Turgut hands his daughter to Nergis. He tells her he will be right back. Nergis asks, what’s the matter? It’s work related, he replies, I’ll be right back.

Turgut asks Eren, let my wife and children leave. Eren nods, they should. [Turkish] Let there be at least some sense in such grief, right? May your daughter get well.

Turgut heads back to Nergis and tells her to go ahead to the airport. I have something to do. I’ll be done quickly. She doesn’t understand. He says it’s fine and he will catch up later. He tells the driver to go to the international flight area at the airport. He smiles and says goodbye, closes the door and waves. Görüşürüz…

Eren orders Turgut to get in the car. Yekta stands next to Ceylin and says, I’m familiar with the look of hatred after being caught on the run. I just hope he’s declared guilty and punished. He will be, Ceylin replies.

 

Secrets #134 Gran Final part 3

[Turkish] I hope so, Yekta answers, otherwise a person can become vile because of resentment. Ceylin looks at Yekta. Don’t look at me like that, he says, I went through it, it happened to me. Your friends handcuffed me and I went as a prisoner in that car.

Ceylin says, let’s say some parting words. Thank you for your kindness. You’ve been very sincere. Thank you, but it’s over now. She holds out her hand. Yekta shakes it. It was a pleasure, Ceylin. I think we make a great team. We are the avengers who don’t give up!

Yekta clasps her hand in his and asks, wouldn’t you like for things to stay like this? I’m officially asking you to be my partner. A little eye rolling from Ceylin. Yekta continues, join the Tilmen-Erguvan Firm. Ah, sorry, the brilliant, Tilmen-Erguvan Kaya Firm. She tries to pull away, but he holds on. Think about it before you turn me down. He kisses her hand, and she looks a bit disgusted. With that, Yekta walks away.

Omer is arrested outside of his mother’s care center. Umut does the honors. Yes, this is the end of the road…Yakup. Omer/Yakup puts his wrists out for the cuffs. Umut pronounces, Yakup Atamer, you are under arrest for contraband, evidence tampering, and most importantly, the murder of journalist Berkhan Tokdemi.

Meanwhile, Eyup wakes up in the ambulance. He orients himself and looks around. He’s locked in. He shouts—is anyone out there? He finds a crowbar and pries a door open. He zips up his jacket to hide his bleeding wound and makes his way to the street.

Officials are in Rafet’s office. He is being forced to resign his post. [they’re letting him off easy, I think.] He is told, hurry up, sign, and leave with some dignity [a foreign concept for Rat-fet.] Have some mercy, he begs, I’ve devoted my life to being an officer. I became an important chief. This is heartbreaking. It’s not easy to sign and leave like that.

The official leans in. The Force is sacred, he says, you swore to always serve the people, that you’d be honored to do so, but you used your position for personal gain! And now you say you’re remorseful? Sign your name! Rafet reluctantly signs. The official tells him to hurry up, pack his things, and leave. They leave and Rafet gripes, Captain Eren, you burned me… you burned me good. Rafet breaks his prayer beads.

Ceylin is in bed, crying, looking at pictures and video of Ilcey’s vacation in Kapadokya.
Cut: Tugce takes her father clothes shopping for her HS graduation. She says the ceremony won’t be long and afterwards she’s planning to hang with friends for a while. [maybe a party?] Eren asks who will be there. Cinar… Merve…. kids from school, you know… She quickly changes the subject back to clothing.

Eren isn’t satisfied with her answer. Dad! This is my only graduation! Of course, I’m going to celebrate with my friends! I think he’ll give in. [Too bad, I can’t find a clip of the outfit Eren tries on.] Tugce mentions there’s been an increase of divorced mothers from her school. Maybe… Eren shuts that down immediately. He threatens not to let her go with her friends after graduation. He tells her they have to visit Metin. He buys the suit. End cut scene.

Metin comes home from the hospital. It’s a warm welcome with family and friends. Metin even has a hug for his father.

Oooh, Ceylin has a pregnancy test kit. There’s a knock at the door and she puts it in a back pack. It’s Eren. You’re not ready, he asks. She asks, for what? Don’t you know, Eren replies, we’re going to the shelter. Ilgaz got a dog for you. I was asked when you would pick it up. Come on. You can get it, Ceylin tells him. He eventually talks her into going.

 

Secrets #134 Gran Final part 4

Derya tells everyone that she’s going to stay with her family. My mother and siblings have all looked after children. They are more experienced than I am, and they can help me. Plus, I know I won’t be alone. I’ve already put in for the transfer. I’m moving in a month. Gul says, we love having you near, but I wish you the very best.

Change of subject. Metin asks if Turgut was buried. Derya nods. It was very sad. He took the officer’s gun and shot himself in the head. He did it to save his daughter, he acted out of desperation. I suppose he couldn’t handle what he did. Eren enters and Metin asks him how Ceylin is doing. Ceylin is fine, he replies, Merdan Dede, Metin Amir, I need to talk to you. We don’t see that talk.

Eren and Ceylin get in his car. She falls asleep on the drive. She wakes up and asks, where are we? Where you should be, he replies, Alaçatı. We’re here.

Eren tells her if Ilgaz was alive, he would want you to come, to go to the hotel and for you to have dinner. She starts to cry. Eren, I can’t do that. Please, let’s go back. He’s not turning back. You’ll do it for yourself, he says, you’ll do it for Ilgaz. She worries she didn’t bring anything. Eren brought the back she had already packed. Ilgaz had told him and he “broke” into the house to get it.

Ceylin cries and hugs Eren. Thank you very much. He tells her to get some rest. This will be good for you. Don’t worry about the puppy, I’ll take him. I’ll make sure he gets his shots and I’ll leave him with Defne.

Ceylin checks in. Reservation for Ceylin Erguvan Kaya. Yes, two people, the clerk says. No, Ceylin responds, I’m staying alone. She’s weepy as she heads to her room. She unpacks her bags. There’s the pregnancy test. She takes it and leaves it on the dresser, then goes to sleep on the bed.

Oh my. Is this another dream? Ilgaz comes through the door from the outside and sits on the bed beside her. Are you still asleep, beautiful? He strokes her hair. Come on, get dressed, sleepyhead. She wakes up and looks at him. She says, it’s just a dream, and closes her eyes.

Yes, Ilgaz says, it’s just a dream. Yes, but this dream came true. You won’t believe this, but we are on vacation and my wife is sleeping. This isn’t real, she says. He tells her to get up. He gets up and says, it smells good here. Let’s go get some ice cream. You are not real, Ceylin replies. She sits up. Ilgaz sits next to her.

You’re not real, Ceylin repeats, you’re not real… this is a dream… She places her hands over her ears. Ilgaz places his hands over hers. He keeps insisting she get up and get dressed. She shouts at him—you’re dead! Ceylin wakes up. She was right, it was just a dream. But she gets up and gets dressed.

She leaves the room, and we see the test results. Ceylin is pregnant.

Ceylin walks through the town, with her (Ilgaz’s) sweatshirt hanging over her shoulder bag. Suddenly, she realizes the sweatshirt is missing. She’s anxious to find it and retraces her steps. She asks people if they saw the sweatshirt. She runs through the street. She can’t find it and is upset.

Ceylin catches a glimpse of a tall, thin man moving quickly, who could be wearing the sweatshirt. Yep, he looks like he could be Ilgaz. She chases after him and shouts, excuse me! Excuse me, that’s my sweatshirt! The man keeps walking. Hey!

 

Secrets #134 Gran Final part 5

Ceylin catches up to him and he stops. We see it’s Ilgaz. He drops the hood and turns to face her. She starts in with the “I’m dreaming, this isn’t real” script. Ilgaz puts his hands on her hair, caresses her face. Is this really you, she asks. Benim sevgilim, he replies. It’s me, love.

They hold each other tight and there are tears of joy.

[This was the end of Turkish episode 63 and the end of the second season of the dizi. For some reason, Telemundo spliced in a flashback from the first episode of the third Turkish season.]

Now Ilcey are near the shore and Ceylin is quickly walking away from Ilgaz. She’s freaking out. You’re dead, you’re dead. He calls out to her and catches up to her. He reaches out. She flinches—don’t touch me! Don’t touch me, you’re dead! She whimpers, you were dead, I visited your grave.

I know, Ilgaz says, and I’m sorry. You don’t, she shouts and throws her bag, you don’t! She shrieks, you know nothing! You don’t know how much I’ve suffered! You don’t know the pain I endured every night, how I haven’t been able to sleep! I kept trying to find your scent, she sobs. I went through your clothes, your belongings! She pushes him. You know nothing! I went crazy! I wanted to die before going on without you! [Ok, Ceylin, we get the point]

Ilgaz slowly approaches her. She puts her hands up to hold him off. I’m sorry, he says, I’m sorry for the pain I caused you. I’d die for you. She allows him to touch her.

I had to do it, Ilgaz explains, I had to protect you, protect our family. I did it to keep a child alive. If Haluk hadn’t been sure that I was dead, he wouldn’t have paid for her treatment. [what? Are you kidding me?] Turgut Ali sacrificed himself to save his daughter. He gave up his honor to save his sick daughter. I waited until he sent the money, and she began her treatment. I did it for her and us.

Ceylin is calmer now. Ilgaz pulls Ceylin close and kisses her forehead. She pushes him away. You were never shot, she asks. I was shot, he replies. But you were buried, she says, I escaped from my cell to attend your funeral. I know, he answers. Then who was buried in your grave, she asks. An orphan.

She starts crying again. Did everyone know? Only Eren and Anil, he replies. How could you do this to me, she asks. She falls to the ground. He gets down there with her. She sobs, you could have told me! How could you do this?

 

Secrets #134 Gran Final part 6

You would have done it, too, Ilgaz tells her. [really?] A child’s life was at stake. You’d set the world on fire for her, wouldn’t you? You’d do it so she’d live. That’s why I did it. That girl will grow up, be a mother. Would you be willing to destroy it? I’m very sorry for all I put you through. I’m here now, he says with a smile. It’s all over and I’m here with you.

It’s not over, Ceylin cries, it’s not over yet, Ilgaz. I don’t know how to forget the pain. Will a hug help, he asks her. [good grief] She hugs him.

Next, we see Ilcey stopped at a gas station. They are headed back to Istanbul. He gets back into the car and there are baby booties hanging from the rear-view mirror. What’s this, he asks. She talks about being hungry and laughs. What’s this, he asks again. She keeps laughing. Is it what I think it is, he asks. She nods, yes, it is. Kisses.

When did you find out, he asks. When I got here, she replies, before I found you on the street. We’ve been here 10 days, he notes, why didn’t you tell me? Because I was still angry and had to get back at you. [that’s our Ceylin!] Does anyone else know? Nope.

As they drive, Ilgaz calls Metin. Dad, Ceylin is pregnant! Great news! We hear Metin tell Merdan and Defne. Ilgaz says, see you tonight at the house. Ilgaz wants to call Eren. No, no, Ceylin says, I want to kill him. I’m going to beat him up! Tell him later, he has to wait! Have you told your mom, Ilgaz asks. No, she hasn’t.

Ceylin tells him to calm down. He can’t, he’s going to be a father. He rolls down the window and shouts, I’m going to be a father. He waves the booties out the window. I’m going to be a father! Ceylin laughs. Ilgaz shouts again—I’m going to be a father!

And we are out!

I was sort of surprised they let Yekta and Ceylin check in without any I.D. But what a team they made! Yekta managed to get Turgut's room number AND swipe the key card. Ceylin does keep ragging on him, though. "Your children tend to be murderers!" We didn't see a flashback of Yakup managing to fake the DNA test. I kept expecting that.

Ozge was perfect. She narrowed down the time frame and told them that Pars had the security videos backed up. All the pieces were fitting.

Ceylin is brilliant. She looked at the recently drycleaned suit and thought of the tie. I'd never have thought of that.

Our Team worked so well together. Osman played a big part in getting the goods on the wire transfer. I sort of was hoping they'd show him reconciled with Aylin. Maybe in Season 3. And weird, funny haired Ozgan got to the bottom of Turgut calling off the cops at the warehouse.

I enjoyed Yekta's pitch for Ceylin becoming his partner. He's seen her in action and would love to have her. But I doubt that will happen.

So...Eyup was a kind of loose end. I was nervous seeing him getting away, but maybe he's had enough of trying to avenge his evil brother since he already got stabbed once.

Rat-fet got fired. How sweet it is!

I feel disappointed in Yakup just putting his hands out for the cuffs. No emotion. For once I wanted to see him screaming as he realizes he's lost everything.

Thanks, dondi, for including the Eren and Tugce scene. I love every one these two are in.

I think I'd rather have seen Turgut in prison. But he wouldn't have been able to live with the shame.

That one last dream in the hotel room was pretty mean. I don't know about everyone else but I was more than ready for Igaz to appear. But they had to stick one more jab into us.

I watched the first episode. I had thought about a brief recap, but watching two dizis and a telenovela (vuelve) was about it for me.

My reaction was meh. I'll probably watch this week. I really like the Azize actress from Hercai. I don't much like the female protagonist who played the ditzy younger woman in Infiel. Her stock emotion seems to be hysteria. Maybe it will get better.

The male protagonist, Gulcemal, is a piece of work. He has a face like a stone carving. He looks like he has to shave 3 times a day.

Sorry to be so negative. If anyone watched and has opinions, I'd like to see them.
 

Vuelve Pt 1

We open with Nuria beside her herself with emotion over Chelo saying that Andres is alive. She’s up in Chelo’s face, and demands to know “how” is it that Andres is alive?!?! Fausto tries to intervene, but she tells him to shut up and continues her interrogation of Chelo. The town crier finally says that she will tell her the whole truth…..

Braulio and Lianna are at it again. He tells her to destroy the video and he will trust her again. Destroy it like she did the resignation letter that she stole from him. She says she didn’t steal what was hers and was between her and her godfather. They’re both thieves and now they’re even. They talk about Fabian and not knowing if he said anything to anyone about what they did before he fell into a coma. Braulio says it’s been 5 years and something would’ve come out by now if it were going to come out. He also makes it clear that if Lianna doesn’t want to end up dead, she will delete the video.

Fabian is awake and his mother is with him. She’s saying that he came back to life, it’s a miracle, and she’s going to let the doctor know that he’s awake. Of course Tigre bribed a nurse to let him know when and if Fabian awakes and she’s calling him to let him know. I’m pissed cause I’m a nurse and she’s giving us a bad name! She’s breaking all kinds of HIPPA laws and her obligation is to her patient. 5 yrs is a long time and it’s hard for me to believe that she’s been there, with him, all that time! I guess anyone can be bribed! Look at Crooked Captain! Sorry for my rant, lol.

Violetta is the last person at work when Rosendo bursts in like a fire breathing dragon. He grabs her from behind and calls her all kinds of liars and sluts. She knows that what they had was consensual and he’s going to make her tell the truth. She breaks away, grabs a pair of scissors, and tells him if he comes closer she will cut him and it will be worse for him because the cops will think that he attacked her and he will go to jail. She manages to convince him and he leaves, but Violetta is visibly shaken——-as she should be…..

Celia is still harassing Amelia about who Diego’s woman is. Amelia tries to leave multiple times and ends up telling Celia to talk to Diego. I totally got the feeling that Celia knows Amelia is that woman, during their conversation……

Nuria is truly in interrogation mode and continues to ask why they think Andres is alive. Chelo tries to talk but Fausto keeps interrupting. He tells Nuria that the cops found out that the burned body of the boy they buried was not Andre’s’ body. She wants to know how they assumed the boy was her son. Fausto had the bracelet and identified the body and she wants an explanation! He tells her not to get her hopes up, but she doesn’t care. She’s always felt that Andres was alive and knows that he is. Her heart always knew it too! Chelo then shouts again that Andres is alive and Fausto looks at her like the psycho he is, but who’s also been off his meds for a few days. Chelo, of course back tracks some and says that she’s also had the feeling that Andres is alive. Very emotional scene.

Chalo is flirting “heavily” with Euge. It’s like a Euge bulb turned on for him. He asks her if he can pick her up from work tomorrow and take her out to eat. She gushes yes and he kisses her on the cheek good night. Chenta excitedly pops out after seeing them and starts to question Euge. Euge says she’s going to be careful this time, and asks Chenta about Isidro. Chenta hasn’t heard from him, and doesn’t know if she will……

Braulio’s home and Tigre tells him about Fabian. Damn! What luck! He was just talking to Lianna about Fabian.

The doctor is with Fabian, his mom, and the Judas nurse. Fabian asks about Alicia and his mom tells him that Slicia didn’t make it and is dead.Fabian gets upset and the monitors he’s connected to start dinging all over the place. The doctor tells him to calm down and so does his mom. She says that he must have lots of questions.


 

Vuelve. Pt 2

Tigre is giving Lianna the good news about Fabian. She says that she hopes that he just opened his eyes and not his mouth. She tells Tigre to keep her informed.

Fausto is SUPER upset with Chelo for her outburst with Nuria, and tells her that if she doesn’t get herself under control and keeps Nuria away from Andres and the Zepeda’s, he may just have to kill both Nuria and Andres. Chelo has got to be the DUMBEST CRYBABY on the planet! Why hasn’t she recorded any of these conversations and threats made by Fausto?!?! STOOPID GIRL!!

Nuria is in the courtyard and Rosa and Euge see her crying. She tells the about Andres being alive and the all cry and hug.

Amelia goes home and Andres is with Santi. Andres asks her if she’s upset about the woman who came to the school. She tells him no and to go put on his pj’s for bed. Santi asks if she needs a drink and wants to talk. She says yes.

Carmen is talking to her Dad and says that he’s been acting strange. He again tells her nothing is wrong and that he loves her more than anything in the world. They hug.

Aida and Martha are giving Mariano praises for his handling of Cassandra. Martha asks if Braulio is home and Aida says he’s in the office.

Santi and Amelia talk and Amelia tells him everything about Juandres’ parents and how the are blackmailing her. Santi insists she tell Braulio but Amelia begs him not to because Braulio will take Juandres away from her. Santi agrees for now. She also asks what happened between Nuria and Braulio, and Santi tells her that Braulio tried to rape Nuria. Amelia is shocked and appalled.

Martha goes to yell at Braulio with the same ole, same ole Nuria is a gold digger BS. Braulio says he loves Nuria and that she’s shown him more love than both Amelia and Martha put together. Martha is wide eyed silenced for once.

Nuria is with Angustias, again sharing about Andres. They connect and Angustias says that a mother “always” knows. ( so how come Martha don’t know jack from jack?!). Anyhoo, Angustias suggest Nuria go to the women’s group and Nuria agrees. Here comes the crying tower of piza ,Chelo, who starts with I don’t deserve to be your sister, blah,blah, blah stuff. Nuria reassures her that she did nothing wrong, and they hug with Chelo continuing to cry a river, sigh!!

Celia tells Diego she knows that the woman he’s with is Amelia, surprise, surprise. He basically says it doesn’t matter who it is cause they are OVAH!

Crooked Captain calls Fausto and threatens that if Fausto doesn’t give him his money, he’s going to jail for everything that he’s done, period. He hangs up as Fausto is trying to convince him that he’ll get his money.

Rai tells Chalo the truth about his cancer and swears him to secrecy. Chalo reluctantly agrees.

Fabian tells his mom the whole truth that Santiago had nothing to do with this and that it was Braulio because he was stealing information from their company. Braulio tried to kill him and killed Alicia in the process. He finds out that Santiago spent 5 yrs behind bars and that Braulio never defended him.

Amelia asks Braulio why he’s in their bedroom, that he moved into the guest room. He says it’s better there for him and he wants her to stay there with him. She yells at him about Nuria and storms out.

Cassandra and Juandres have a sweet moment where he tells her that Martha really is an awesome grandma once you get to know her

Fausto is on his way back home to take care of some business and Chelo better get her act together. He threatens Nuria and Andres again.

Celia catches Diego and Amelia in a kiss and embrace. Like as much as I like Diego and Amelia, I don’t give a damn about Celia and what she knows! She’s got a lot of nerve!!!


 

Vuelve. Pt 3

Both Braulio and Lianna show up at Fabian’s house. Braulio questions how Lianna knows that Fabian is out of his coma.

Nuria goes to the women’s group with Angustias. As she’s telling the group leader about Andres, in walks Martha who accuses her of being a criminal……..

I can’t recap Wednesday or Thursday nights moving forward. Can’t watch those episodes until the weekend with work. Will continue to comment though…..

This was definitely one of the better dizis I’ve ever seen. It’s won many awards, including an International Emmy. Ilcey (Kaan and Pinar) were a great dizi couple, even though Ceylin often annoyed me with her tantrums and tricks.

Speaking of annoying, I give you Aylin, Parla, and Cinar. I thought Gul was unwatchable in the beginning but somewhat watchable by the end. I think Osman redeemed himself.

Loved Eren, Tugce, and Merdan. Loved Pars and Ridvan, too, but they had terrible fates. Once again, the Turks broke my heart. I’ll say it again, Yekta was a great villain and his collaboration with Ceylin was a highlight.

Yes, there were loose ends. Maybe that’s because they decided to go for a third season. This was originally planned to run for two. The ratings were so good, they went for three, and that’s why Ilgaz survived. Sema felt she had more story to tell and I guess she wanted to keep her husband working.

They are already 12 episodes into the third season which airs Sunday nights in Turkey. The ratings are still very good. I’m curious about what’s next for Ilcey so I might watch. I wonder if Telemundo will pick it up.

 

OT..Dondi, I guess I should have watched this one with you , but Kaan played such a dreadful villain in " Amor Eterna", and I hated that ending so much that I just didn't think I could accept him as a galan. Hope I get to follow another dizi with you soon . I loved the dizis that you recommended to me , especially " Fatmagul" and " kara Para Ask." I am still not finished watching " Amor Prohibido", and I think I saw a new Netflix show with that young galan. Maybe I have to go back to watching " Osman" with Burak Oscivit . I think he is still filming that series . Any new recommendations ! Hope you and yours are well. Susan

Regarding dizi’s Susan. Erkeni Kus is really good and it’s on YouTube with English subs. It stars Can Yaman and Demet Ozdemir. It’s a romantic comedy, but full of emotion and the chemistry between the leads is off the charts! If “Aile” ( The family) is playing anywhere with English subtitles ( I’m watching it on Watch Turks—-at a cost of course) it’s a must see with Kivanc Tatlitug and SerenaySarikaya. Talk about the mother from hell, and the ups and downs in this crazy family! So good! Kivanc’s acting can never go wrong, and their love story is atypical, but compelling none the less………

Yay! Nuria knows (or at least believes that Andres is alive!!!) I’ve been wanting this to happen for weeks. She couldn’t learn the whole true yet of course, but I am glad she knows that the boy they buried wasn’t Andres and he’s out there... somewhere! As was guessed yesterday, Nuria was taken to the support group, but Marta shows up and declares her a criminal!!! Ugh, so much for her one moment’s worth of conscious. And our lovely Fausto now has Chelo threatened, if Nuria finds out the rest of the truth, he will kill both Nuria and Andres!

It's interesting that Amelia did believe right away that Braulio could be a rapist, and kudos to Santi for telling her the truth!!! No annoying, lying to protect his brother or not hurt Amelia crap! And then Amelia calls Braulio a rapist to his face!!!! She played nice with Cece, but she’s clearly not afraid to call a spade a spade. I’m glad it doesn’t look like Amelia is going to go after Nuria, she has plenty to deal with, Cecila is a %#*&#!!!!

Yes, Fabian’s awake and he tells Mommy all!!! Another shock for novelaland. Normally characters aren’t allowed to be so forthcoming and honest on day 1!!!! It’s not the same action as Jacinto, Susan, sorry; but he’s a cutey! He looks like a young Aaron Diaz. I don’t recognize him. I laughed when Braulio said ‘Liana and I were just talking about him!’ Felt like he was acknowledging the novela absurdity that you mention a man in a comma and he suddenly awakes after 5 years!

I can recap Weds and Thurs this week, but it may be a little later in the day tomorrow before I can get the recap posted. I can recap Thurs on most weeks but probably not Weds every week, I just happen to have a light week this week, but I'm likely to get busy first thing in Jan.
 

OT...Carmella , thank you for the recommendations . I will check them out. I think the Turkish dizis definitely have a different flavor than the Mexican telnovelas , and I enjoy the scenery and architecture and the look inside the culture, customs, and traditions . Susan

I loved the finale! Throughout this dizi the actors have been excellent, although I agree some of the hysterics were a bit much. I loved the scene of the now blended family together, so strong. Favorites are Eren and Merdan. Susan, if you ever get a chance to see Secretos, you will be able to separate the Amor Eterno role from this one. The actor is so good in this that you would be able to forget that villain. I really am a fan now!
Hoping we get season 3.

Susan, I have stopped watching Amor Prohibido for now. It was actually affecting my mood during the holidays. I will pick it up later, perhaps after it is finished, so I can do it fast. I just couldn’t handle the daily unstoppable march into tragedy. Interestingly, I had to do this with Vuelve too after the violent rape scene. Maybe it’s the season or I’m overly sensitive!

OT...Babachita, I understand . A few years ago, I had to stop watching " Amor Eterna" because it was just too upsetting for me at the time . Best to do whatever is best for you. These shows are guilty pleasures for me and an escape from reality , so why watch if they become upsetting or interfere with your holiday spirit . You can turn them off and on !!!" Amor Prohibido" has become pretty brutal and frustrating . I also haven't watched the end of " Mujer" which was also a lesson in suffering .At least we haven't gotten any storylines about zombies in telenovelas and dizis . If that ever happens , I am out.

I am currently enjoying the final season of " Ted Lasso" and two novelas on Uni . Looking forward to " El Amor No Tiene Receta" in the future .

Like others, I can't believe that Fabian survived long enough to spill to his mother! I wonder if that's enough to hold up in court. I suppose anything is possible in telenovela court.

So Chelo came close to actual truth. At least she recognizes that she's a terrible person. That's more self-awareness than Braulio has. And of course Amelia has no problem believing he's a rapist. She knows him.

And even more truth in the conversation between Amelia and Santi! What's going on? Are we in ultimas semanas already? It would be nice if Santi spies on her next time she goes to meet "the birth parents".

Now someone just needs to have a come-to Jesús with Diego's ex whose name I can't remember and I don't like her enough to scroll up. She abandoned Diego and should stay on the couch.

Thanks, Dondi. Fantastic job. In the end, that was a very satisfying finale. I definitely want to watch Secrets 3 whenever it arrives, but I admit I'm wary of how gruesome this dizi can get.

I was so wound up about Ilgaz maybe/maybe not being alive and putting Ceylin and the families through all that grief. I wanted Ceylin to smack the crap out of him when real live Ilgaz (not dream Ilgaz) showed up.

Seeing all the good guys working together to nail Turgut, even Ozge from prison - good show.

So Derya will move to be with her family. She was a strong character. I'd like to see more of her.

Yes indeed, that was a pretty implausible, only in a TN moment when the very same nurse Tigre was paying 5 years ago to watch Fabian was still right there.

And, Celia, if you want to appear as the good wife wanting to reunite with her husband, maybe don't show up dressed like a slut with half your chichis on display.

Chalo, pfft. I wish Eugenia had told him to go kick rocks. I guess they're going for a HEA for these two, but his using her as a sex toy while he pined for Nuria, not to mention the constant cut off sleeves, soured me on him from jump.

If Chelo had any guts she'd tell Fausto that she doesn't believe he'd kill off Andres, his source of income without working a lick.

Does every single character in a TN who develops cancer hide it from his loved ones? Or is my memory selective?

Why did Ilgaz take the hoodie from
Ceylin instead of revealing himself immediately? It wasn't a game of hide-and-seek!
I was afraid something bad would happen to Ilcey after their reunion, like a car wreck on the way home. Ya never know with these shows! So glad I can breathe now that it's over.
This was a great show great acting, writing. The quality of dizis continues to impress me.
I hope Telemundo airs the third season.

The actor, Kaan, has totally redeemed himself from his role on Amor Eterno. I never thought that possible.

I took a pass on this in Turkish after seeing the trailer. The storyline and leads didn’t appeal to me. It seemed more like a “Televisa Presenta” than a Turkish dizi. Ratings weren’t very good and it was canceled after 13 Turkish episodes. I wonder why Telemundo picked this. Maybe the price was right.

Novelera, your description of the leading actors made me LOL!

There are familiar faces among the cast: Azize and Firat from Hercai, serial killer Burak from Secretos, Kavruk from Embajador.

I did watch the first ep, maybe I’ll casually watch. I won’t do any recaps. I need a break after Secretos.

 

Imposible

I actually saw this drama, and it wasn’t horrible. I find the family dynamics in Turkish dramas pretty compelling. I also find that I enjoy the shorter dizi’s whether the ratings are good or not, but solely based on whether the story draws me in. I confess that anything more than 50 “Turkish” episodes becomes a struggle for me.

Unfortunately the lead actress in this one reminded me too much of Lindsay Lohan, lol, so I couldn’t warm to her. Gulcemal, himself is pretty intense, driven, and broken at the same time. I loved his sister in this one.

Plus Ayda Aksel is always a pleasure to watch. Currently enjoying her in “Aile.”

Dondi356, Carmella, Novelera, Halimacandy & Co.,: Since "ESDLC" is due to come back in the Spring of 2024, I'm assuming they'll be back on the 8:00 PM CST timeslot.

I am going to assume that "VUELVE" will be replaced at some point or moved to the 7:00 PM timeslot.

I would like to see Argentinian & Brazilian telenovelas air on Telemundo in the future.

Susan, I miss sharing a dizi patio with you! Sorry you couldn’t join us for Secretos.

carmella gave you a good recommend for “Erkenci Kuş” (Early Bird). Can Yaman and Demet Özdemir are a hot couple. And if you like watching Can Yaman, “Dolunay” (Full Moon), is another rom-com you might enjoy. That’s also on YouTube with translation.

I watched the first 3 eps of “Aile”. To be honest, I like Kıvo and Serenay, but they are not “must see” for me. I thought this dizi was interesting but I had other priorities, so I put it on the backburner. If you are a Kıvo fan, he’s got a few things currently on Netflix, including a movie, “Last Call for Istanbul”, with Beren Saat. I haven’t watched that yet.

You will be able to find eps of “Aile” (and other dizis) with English subtitles on Dailymotion. It’s free but there are ads. The translations are not that great (mostly from the Turkish 123 site), and sometimes they are LOL bad, but it’s better than nothing if you don’t know any Turkish.

I watched the first season of “Adım Farah” with Engin and Demet. And I’ll binge the second season when it ends later this month. I’ll reserve judgment until I see the entire dizi.

carmella, ITA, ratings don’t always matter. The Turks are ruthless with the screenwriting and ratings. I’ve been disappointed by many an early cancellation of a dizi I enjoyed. And long running doesn’t necessarily equate to great. If I like the actors and/or the trailer looks interesting, I’ll give it a chance. So many dizis, so little time!

Also on Netflix I watched “Another Self” with Tuba Buyukustun, which was a pretty decent 9 episode drama. Another I watched on Netflix was “ Shamaran”with Serena’s Sarikaya and Burak Deniz. It’s good, but truly sci-fi-ish with a strange premise. Only 8 episodes though.

Aile truly gets better and better with each episode. Season 2 is even better imo. It’s slated for 30 episodes total, and I hope that they stick to that number. I think that more than 30, it will become monotonous……

I enjoyed "Another Self" more than I thought I would. There's going to be a season 2. Tuba is one of my favorites.

I watched "Şahmaran" because of Mert Ramazan Demir. He had a small supporting role in it, but he's become a huge star because of "Yalı Çapkını", my current dizi obsession. There are rumors of a Şahmaran second season. I'm not sure how they would continue the story.

I will likely finish Aile at some point.
 

Vuelve – the following is not necessarily grouped by scene order, more like subject/conversation order.

Marta tries to discredit Nuria and starts to make accusations that’s she’s not a good person, and she even tried to kill one of her sons. Nuria says if she’s going to accuse her, she’s also going to say WHY she did it, or Nuria will tell everyone. Chalo’s mom says she knows Nuria well and that she’s incapable of hurting anyone except in self-defense. She also tells the women that Nuria is there because she lost her son and she thought he was dead, but they recently found out he’s alive!!! The women welcome Nuria and say that’s what they are there for, to support each other in finding their children. The chick who has always been jealous of Martha says it’s Martha who doesn’t belong there because she found her daughter! Martha counters that her daughter died and she’s there because after feeling the joy of being reunited with her daughter, she realizes she can find purpose in helping others do the same. The group leader says Martha is welcome, but if she wants to stay, she needs to respect Nuria. Nuria tells her story to the group, including the part about how the man she thought she loved lied to and deceived her and continues to harass her. Martha actually looks moved by the story but later tells Nuria that even though her story sounds sad it doesn’t change the way she feels about her. Nuria tells her she couldn’t care less what Martha thinks of her. Martha says she won’t continue to allow Nuria to slander her son and accuse him of rape, Nuria says the truth is the truth no matter how Martha denies it, and one day it will come and smack Martha in the face!!! (I really like how Nuria is with Martha. Up front and blunt, without being childish or dramatic….the truth is the truth $%&#!, deal!!!

Braulio and Liana don’t find Fabian because the family has left on vacation – or so they are told. This Fabian guy is too smart for a novela!!! Both Braulio and Liana figure that Fabian remembers something and fled, but Liana says it could be because they found out Santi was released. Braulio says no way, Fabian isn’t afraid of Santi, he’s fleeing from me!!! Tigre arrives and Braulio wants to know how Fabian could have left without the nurse telling them, but Tigre just shrugs and says he must not have informed the nurse he was leaving, perhaps the family trusted no one? Tigre leaves and Braulio wants to know how Liana even knew that Fabian was awake but all she will say is she has her sources. They start to argue and Liana insinuates that Braulio had his sister killed but this upsets him, he had nothing to do with that!!! He lunges at Liana, she pulls a knife and informs him that he will never hurt her again. He will never rape her again!!! If he tries, she will tell EVERYONE everything and the cards can land where they will, she swears she will on her parents!

Speaking of brawling, Cecelia has walked in on Diego and Amelia kissing and she goes full out feral on poor Amelia!!! First, she yells and screams despite being asked multiple times not to make a scene because there are children present. After yelling slut about 10 times, she POUNCES!!! Like a freaking wrestler, she skips right over the bitchslaps and hair pulling, and just ATTACKS!!! It was almost funny, Diego tries to keep them apart but it’s no use, Ceceila has Amelia to the ground before Diego can stop her and then he must pull her off kicking and screaming. Amelia’s assistant comes in and Cecelia holds nothing back as Diego drags her out the door, she spits out once again that Amelia is a slut who is sleeping with her husband!!!

 

Vuelve – pt 2
After Cece leaves, Amelia admits to her assistant that she’s in love with Diego. She doesn’t know how it happened, she never imagined falling in love with anyone but Braulio but there’s just something about Diego! (Don’t we know it!) She says they can’t be together though, both of their partners are going to make sure of it and take their kids from them if they are. Assistant doesn’t think Braulio isn’t capable of taking Juandres from Amelia but Amelia just says that she doesn’t know Braulio, Amelia is now realizing that she doesn’t know her husband either.

Juandres is trying to teach Cassandra chess, but she’s bored and petulant. This probably would have gotten worse, but Tio Santi arrives, he talks to Cassie about missing her friends and how he can take her to visit them or they can come see her. Cassie laments that she’s used to seeing her friends in HER house, but Santi points out that she would probably be even more lonely if she was alone in that house. I guess the pep talk goes well, because next we see them eating ice cream and talking about going to the ocean. Santi agrees he will take Juandres, his friends from the orphanage, and Cassie too if she wants to go! All are excited, and Santi even calls the old orphanage and gets plane tickets for the boys and their chaperons so they can come to the beach.

Carmen is worried about her dad and looking for a job. She says every interview says it was nice to meet her but then she hears nothing back. Euge has the solution!!! Carmen should take Nuria’s old position! They don’t have a new manager yet, so that means Euge is in charge, and she can hire Carmen. Carmen is hesitant because she doesn’t want to work for those horrible Zepedes either, and Euge understands but says it’s a job, Carmen should at least take it until she can find something else. Besides, then they can work together!!!! This gets awkward when their friendship moment is interrupted by the realization that one of them is in love with the other, but they hurriedly brush that off; the awkwardness ramps again when Chalo walks in and it’s clear that Euge and Chalo are now starting something up. Carmen tries to be happy for her friend. Later at the store when they are filling out Carmen’s work stuff, we find out Violetta’s 5 minutes of pretending to be a normal person are up!!! She’s downright nasty to Carmen insinuating that she’ll scare off the customers and accuses Euge of taking advantage to hire all her friends. Euge tells her to go to HR and have them explain the hierarchy to her!!! Euge is in charge, and Vi better leave Carmencita the hell alone!!! (Go Euge!)

More of Chelo crying about what a horrible person she is and how she doesn’t deserve anyone’s help, without spelling out exactly what she did. More of Auntie Rosi misunderstanding and chalking it up to hormones…. Ugh. I don’t know if Chelo is truly a horrible person, but she’s definitely a stupid one!!! Fausto is all the way in Juarez and she has all the opportunity in the world to tell the truth!!! Go to Nuria, go to Amelia, go to the police!!!! SOMETHING!!!! She keeps her mouth shut of course, and later when Nuria and co start talking about where Andres could possibly be, Chelo blurts out the US!!! They want to know how she knows that, but she claims she’s just guessing based on what the police told them about the band of criminals stealing kids and selling them in the US. Nuria remembers hearing this and says she will find her son in the US!!! Somehow!!! Rosi says the important thing is he’s alive and they all just hope wherever he is that he’s being treated well.

Fausto is in Juarez, packing his and Chelo’s things and grabbing his gun – he has a job for the gun. We don’t have to wonder too long what that is as El Capitan shows up for his money!!! He thinks all is good, but Fausto pulls the gun. Capitan begs for his life but it’s of no use, Fausto shoots him and concludes that although he liked the guy, he’s never liked sharing his toys.

 

Vuelve – pt3

Santi and Aida have a heart to heart where Aida tells him how good he is with the children and how excited Juandres is about the beach! Aida hopes that the beach will be good for Santi too and give him time to get over Nuria. Santi says Nuria is in the past and he’s with Liana now. Still, he admits, Nuria is a good woman, better than his mom realizes. It’s their family that wronged Nuria, especially Braulio!! It wasn’t the other way around.

Diego and Cecelia make it home and Diego puts Danita to bed. Diego points out the obvious that Cecelia is crazy, and she was way out of line. He says he wishes that Amelia had called the police on her and reiterates the whole ‘you left me, and we aren’t together’ argument. Diego thinks what he does and who he loves is none of Cecelia’s business, but this Loca isn’t backing down for a second!!! Diego is going to leave the homewreaker and that is that! If he doesn’t, she will take Danita and disappear!! Diego won’t see her again until she is 18 years old!!!! Cece storms out and Diego has a lot to think about. He goes to see Amelia to apologize and tell her what Cece said. They have an incredibly sad and heartbreaking conversation about how they must break up – I don’t have the heart to recap it in detail sorry. Diego was too sad as he lamented losing everything that ever meant anything to him and even losing the desire to live again…they agree they have to end things for the sake of their children and are both crying as they declare their love for each other and kiss goodbye!!! Santi unfortunately sees the kiss, we’ll see what he does with that tonight.

Rosendo comes to the corporate office demanding to talk to Tigre, but Liana overhears and interrupts, wanting to know why Rosendo is there, he was fired. Rosendo says he was unjustly fired and makes a thinly veiled threat about knowing a lot of information about the company that could be revealed to the wrong people if something isn’t done to help him.

Braulio isn’t usually fun, but he is literally going crazy!!! And that’s kind of fun! Left alone in his office, he sees a pill bottle on his table – pills, like daddy’s pills that he almost didn’t give him the night he collapsed!!! He yells at his secretary for allowing people in his office and demands to know where the pill bottle came from, but the poor thing can only answer ‘where did what come from?’! That’s right, there are no pills there, Braulio is hallucinating! The worried secretary tells Liana all about it and she tries to reassure that Braulio is just stressed with everything that’s happened in his family lately, but we find out when Liana is alone with Tigre that she is trying to drive Braulio crazy! (what a shock) She’s the one who was leaving the notes and playing with the lights. Tigre points out that the first shipment from China is coming in today and that should push Braulio the rest of the way over the edge. And sure enough, the fabrics from China arrive, with one small problem, they are all ruined!!!! Braulio looks over the shipment and is told the whole lot is like that, destroyed. Braulio freaks out but the dock guy says it’s no big deal, insurance will cover it!!! What he doesn’t know, is that the new fabric reps convinced Braulio that he didn’t need insurance!!!! They played him and Braulio is out 70 million pesos!!! (Just over 4 million dollars)

Well, I have 2 under my belt. Thanks, dondi, for commenting about the low ratings in Turkey. Yes, I'm building up enough dizi time to recognize actors. As you mentioned, the actor who plays Gulcemal's henchman/driver was Firat from Hercai. Seems a bit typecast in his second banana role. But Miran treated Firat more like a friend.

I got a kick out of seeing the awful Burak as a nice guy in a wheelchair.

Just can't warm up to our female protagonist. She doesn't speak dialog; she gasps it. Also, the dizis I've seen all the way through pretty much have strong women protagonists. This one does not.

Because of all the talk about Kaan as a villain, I found Amor Eterno streaming and watched the first episode. Yep, nasty piece of work. I like both protagonists. And Kaan has that stubble going on, perfect for a villain. I prefer watching TNs/dizis on network TV, recording, and skipping commercials. I don't have a YouTube subscription, so I'm stuck with them.

Thanks Darcy! Great recap! Can’t wait to watch! Especially watching Braulio lose his mind, and get scammed! Nobody deserves it more than him! Lianna , bitch that she is, is turning out to be one smart cookie where Braulio is concerned. When you think about it, he’s hurt and tortured her the most. Unfortunately, its made her just as vile as he is, and they both deserve to be locked up in straight jackets!

Glad Nuria continues to put Martha in her place. Why would her rich butt go among the poorer folks and slander one of their own? I’m sure that they relate more to Nuria than to her.Martha doesn’t have a clue about anything….

Will somebody please put Violetta in her place! So sick of her! And speaking of sick——Celia! Like aren’t there any father rights in Mexico??? Diego has a good steady job, so why doesn’t he fight for his rights? It’s so frustrating!!

There are just no more adjectives for Chelo! I’m sick of her the most! She’s got her whole family there and behind her, and she’s still scared of Fausto?!?!?! The cops would be there waiting for him to return if I had anything to say about it! She really is a moron!

I’m watching Yali Capkini too, dondi 356, lol, and yes, Mert’s performance is stellar. It’s a little too slow moving at times for me, but the story does reel you in. The characters are really well written. I’m on season 2 and current with the latest episodes….
 

OT ..it's enjoyed " Another Self" and might check out season two. I am a fan of Tuba , especially when she is with Engin. The Turkish names are a problem for me . I can't seem to remember them . Susan
 

OT...i have a Brazilian friend , and she told me that Brazilian telenovelas are very good. I watched a few Venezuelan shows , and I thought that they were pretty wild and crazy .

It should be interesting watching the interactions between Carmen and Violeta with Eug in the middle trying to protect Carmen.

Diego just cannot get a break . He is my favorite now that Jacinto is gone . Such a sweetheart .

OT...Novelera , I liked the galan ( Burak Oscivit )and leading lady in " Amor Eterna" .The acting is good , but there is so much angst and suffering . I stopped watching it , and then either Univision or Unimas had reruns, so I finished Watching and read the recaps here at caray. I have also seen Burak in " Songbird " and a series about the Ottoman Empire " Kurulus." Susan
 

Vuelve – pt1

Amelia and Santi talk and he tells her he saw her kiss Diego, he’s not judging her. Heaven knows, Braulio hasn’t been a good husband and he deserves this. Amelia swears she’s not doing this for revenge. She never intended to have an affair, it wasn’t planned. Braulio was horrible and neglectful and Amelia fell I love but she knows it can’t be, and what Santi saw was the goodbye kiss. Santi says he knows what it’s like to not be able to be with the one you love, and Amelia comments on Santi being with Liana. Santi says he’s not lying to anyone, Liana knows how he feels about Nuria. He’s just trying to give himself an opportunity to move on and be happy. Santi asks if Amelia will tell Braulio the truth, and she says yes but she isn’t going to get that opportunity.

Instead, stupid Cece goes to BRAULIO and tells him about Amelia and Diego – and now I hate her!!! I used to find her amusing, but she’s gone too far this time. Braulio is dangerous and she’s putting Diego, Amelia AND Juandres in danger because of her own selfishness!!! If she was the wronged party I could forgive her, if she was even genuinely in love with Diego I could sympathize with her, but she’s just coldly playing with people’s lives to fit her own agenda. Braulio gets NO credit, but he did at least warn Cece she had better not call his wife a slut again! He kicks her out.

Rosendo tells Liana his story and she says she’ll help him get his job back, we’ll see. He leaves and she askes Tigre how much Rosendo actually knows, Tigre says he knows enough to make Santi start to look for the real killer of his ex.

Carmen talks to dad about her new job and he’s happy for her but his reactions scare her. She’s very concerned about how dad is talking to her lately; it sounds like he’s saying goodbye!!! Rai assures her it’s nothing, he’s just a silly old man and he is definitely NOT sick!

Nuria and Chelo talk about getting Fausto’s help and using his police connections to help with finding Andres! No Nuria, keep that man away!!!! Nuria proves she couldn’t tell a creep from a creep by asking if Chelo is planning to get a DNA test and saying Fausto has a right to know if the kid is his, he’s been so good to their family!!!! May we all be saved from anyone ever being equally good to our families!

Fausto digs a grave for El Captain shirtless, and I suppose we are supposed to at least admire the abs but he’s still creepy to me. He says Cap has no reason to complain because he looks comfortable…. LOL

Carmen asked Chalo about dad, but he denies knowing anything and says he’ll try to find out. He encourages Rai to tell Carman and Rosi the truth but he won’t. Also, he can’t get surgery because social security won’t pay for it. He’s looking at six months.

Rosi goes to the evil store and is trying to sell something to the salespeople. Euge catches her and tells her to stop, she’s going to get her in trouble!!! She reluctantly agrees and starts talking to Euge about how Rai is acting weird and doesn’t seem to want to talk about marriage since they reconciled. Euge says Chalo must know what’s up since they are the best of friends, Euge will ask Chalo about it. Mom is relieved!

Braulio refuses to tell Liana who Cece is and accuses her of being at fault for the ruined merchandise. Liana says the company seemed professional when she met them in NYC and it was up to Braulio to do his homework, besides he has insurance, right?

Cecelia and Diego both make it home and Diego gives her the breakup news. She says that’s great, now no one will take Diego’s love from his daughter, Diego says to keep Dianita out of it. And don’t even think he will get back with her!!! She says he better not think he will get back with Amelia, either! Especially since she told her husband!!! He might even kill her, Cece guesses casually. B!tch!!!

 

Vuelve – pt2

Rai collapses and Nuria finds him. She wakes him up and wants to run for Ro and Carmen but Rai won’t let her. Chalo runs up and Nuria wants answers while Rai wants to somehow continue to keep his secret. He refuses to go to the hospital. Nuria learns the whole truth and Chalo wants to raise money but Rai wants things quiet. Nuria says quiet nothing, they must get the money for the operation NOW!!!

Liana and Braulio have a meeting with the suppliers and Braulio tries to get them to make things right, but they refuse and say they acted fairly. It’s on Braulio that he didn’t get insurance. Braulio threatens to ruin them, but they don’t seem concerned. They leave and Braulio calls on Liana as VP of strategy to come up with a solution and she says she’ll think of something, but Braulio isn’t pacified. He could lose the Presidency over this!!!

Amelia and Juandres are packing for the beach trip and Amelia avoids Diego’s calls. He leaves her a voicemail letting her know that Cece told Braulio about their relationship, and he’s worried about her – Cece is heard singing in the background without a care in the world.

Tigre tells Braulio he’s knows a guy who can help him recover the dinero and keep the board from finding out about the loss… the loan sharks?? Nope, the Mafia!!! Hehe. Tigre is leading the horse to water, and I hope Braulio gulps big, he deserves it!! He’s about to go into business with drug cartels to save his a$$.

The orphans arrive to see Diego and they are impressed by the huge house and that he has his own room and so many toys!!! They run off to play.

Nuria and Chelo and Ro cook and chat and Nuria DOESN’T tell Ro about Rai but comes up with an excuse for needing to make money and Ro is of course happy to help. Ro comments on how she’s happy Chelo is happy and not depressed to be separated from Fausto for a few days. Fausto himself, is partying up with not one two girls as his going away party!

At dinner, Cassie is still being bratty, and the boys want quesadillas and pizza!!! LOL Braulio and Liana arrive and hear about the beach idea, Braulio isn’t thrilled with ‘Super Tio’ but Liana is ready to play auntie and go to the beach with them. Braulio excuses himself quickly and Amelia goes off to see what’s wrong!!! I bet she hasn’t listened to Diego’s message!!! She chases after Braulio demanding that he not take his problems out of Juandres or rain on his parade! Braulio stops her in her tracks demanding to know if she has a lover!!! She now learns Cece told Braulio the truth and Braulio complains that Amelia is much worse than him!!! Nuria at least was single, but Amelia is married and she’s sleeping with someone else’s husband like a slut!!!! SMACK!!! Amelia lets Braulio have it!

Speaking of Nuria, she’s alone in her room thinking of Andres and him giving her permission to have a boyfriend! Lol She promises she’s going to find him.

Euge is still at the store and saying goodbye to her employees when Chalo arrives for Tacos. Euge isn’t ready to go because she still needs to finish counting the till. Vi makes a comment about being left alone in the store and Euge tells Chalo to go ahead, and she’ll try to catch up, but he says no way. It’s a date, he gets close and tries to entice her and let’s hope Euge isn’t stupid enough to leave Vi to lock up.

Santi and Liana talk about spending some quality time on the beach, I couldn’t listen to that BS.

Braulio and Amelia continue to fight, and Amelia is foolish enough to admit that there is NOW nothing between her and Diego, which means Diego is now in danger!!! Before the fight can escalate, Juandres comes in to make sure they aren’t fighting again and Braulio declares it’s just the opposite, from now on mommy is going to be sleeping in here with me again!!! No more lonely nights, we’ll be more united than ever…. Braulio looks menacingly at Amelia while Juandres looks hopeful, poor kid he has no idea what he is sentencing mommy to!

 

Vuelve – pt3

Chalo and Euge arrive home together as Chalo swears to her the lie that nothing is wrong with Rai. Chalo’s mom (whose name I keep forgetting) is organizing something (A march or protest, or something) to bring attention to her daughter’s death and get her killer arrested.

Juandres goes to Amelia to get his bracelet put on for his trip. He will tie it tightly and not lose it. Amelia ties it on and asks if he likes it, he does!! It reminds him of he’s not sure what, but he likes it.

Braulio tells Tigre to set up the meeting with the thugs…

The boys make it to the beach and they are amazed!!!! Liana is already complaining, lol. To be fair though, with her pale white skin that sunny day probably is a danger to her!!!

The ladies are all ready to go on their march or protest, or whatever is it. Nuria is handing out shirts demanding justice and Martha and Aida show up asking for their shirts!!! They only came to help, and they promise no fighting, Nuria gives them shirts.

Juandres is on the beach and he wants to move there!!! LOL Forget the garden, he wants to swim in the ocean. He notices his bracelet is getting loose and asks Santi to tie it back tight for him! Santi goes to do so, and he pauses and looks very hard at the bracelet. It looks like he recognizes it!!!! He looks closely at Juandres!!!! And we fade to black.
