Today on the Gracie show! Do you feel like it's become the Gracie show? I sure do! It's fascinating though, watching her slowly use it!!! I'm glad though that Juan got the upper hand on her. Gracie is usually two steps ahead of everyone, but she's too freaked out to think now and Juan is no dummy, unlike David. That's a twist on the norm, but galan is dumber than a box of rocks and the vilain is cunning most of the time.

Then David is back to, 'Do you love me?' with Luci! Sigh, eyes rolling. And Miguel is back to yelling and whinning because Luci loves David and not him.... shut up Miguel! You can't help who you love, you aren't 15 years old, you understand this! He says he can't understand why Luci can't just let go but he should understand perfectly because of his own obsession with making Luci love him! Dude, she will never love you!!! At most, she might settle for you if she gave up all hope of finding real love. Why did he seem so normal with Erika and he's such a spaz with Luci?

Gracie asks David for $1 million dollars for the 'wedding'! And that's not the whole budget, just what she supposedly overspent!!! Leaving aside for a moment that that is an absolutely insane amount of money for a wedding, what really bugs me is how does David have the money??? We've been dealing with several plot lines having to do with money troubles at the vineyard throughout this novela. David just had to release all his seasonal employees and he can't afford to hire a Luci replacement, but he has a million dollars for Gracie???? Are they even trying? A little? And Gracie paid her blackmail money with a check!!! LOL LOL LOL LOL smh

Vino. Totally agree about Gracie, Darcy! Kimberly Dos Ramos is really chewing up the scenery, as they say. Will she be gunned down during the wedding ceremony? Just before? Just after? Could the writers be that cursi? (very probably). And maybe the writers don't quite understand exactly how much $1 million is in American dollars? I wouldn't put it past them. Juan hasn't even said he'd stop blackmailing her after all that money is paid to him. And I agree, Miguel has changed back to his old personality. Sigh. Everyone still thinks Juan killed Perla. Will he be forwarding that video so that it's obvious it's Graciela? Cesar gives David the same advice that Luciana gave him, but of course he won't listen. The best news about this novela is that there are only 4 episodes to go.

‘The best news about this novela is that there are only 4 episodes to go.‘ You said it!!!

"VINO" HIGHLIGHTS DISCUSSION:

SpanProf: We're in the Final Week of this intriguing chaotic & bipolar Telenovela.

Darcy: Slippery Juan threatening Crazy Whacky Blonde & I don't see neither FerBrat & Bobby finding out the truth about how Santa Lisa died until the Gran Final.

"VINO" HIGHLIGHTS DISCUSSION:

Darcy: I'm assuming you've watched today's episode. The ONLY thing that was exciting was Sonia & LionCub.

Those two crack me up!

I couldn't decide who I wanted to kick off the island most today: Miguel or Susan? Probably Miguel but Susan was a close second.

Miguel was at his most annoying today!! His most passive-aggressive, whinny, wimpy self. There were those on the original patio who thought it was okay for Miguel to keep David from seeing Luci because she asked him for help, but even if you give him that; he had no business yelling at Luci and throwing a fit afterward!!! Just because he doesn't like that she's still in love with David and he's jealous! She's still in love with the other guy idiot, deal with it without throwing a hissy fit.

Susan was almost as bad. Who jumps around and fangirls and tries to get their best friend to come talk to the guy who dumped her for his 'kids' and is now marrying another woman TOMORROW!!! What??? It was annoying, especially how insistent and excited she was. She kept saying, you have to go to him, and I was at home saying, No!! Go to town at meet Leon like you said you would!!!

David would be number 3 because unlike what Susan assumes, he doesn't want to call off his wedding, he wants to get Luci's concession, or approval, or whatever; so he can stop feeling so guilty.

On to bigger and better things!

The proposal!!! It was the cutest, most romantic thing to happen on this whole show - minus the parts where Leon practically yelled at Sonia to concentrate and stay on topic! LOL. I love these two together, they are cute, they are funny, they look at each other so adoringly.... they are definitely on the wrong novela!! LOL There's no happiness at Vino el Amor, they just name it love to throw you off.

Less happy, but also funny:

How could Lil ask Aldolfo for $1 million dollars?!?! Who makes that kind of request from a friend with a straight face? I mean I guess if you're both multi-millionaires and you just had a liquidity issue, you could be like 'Hey buddy, let me borrow a million and I'll pay you back when the CD hits the bank next week' but really??? If Aldolfo has a million dollars the wine business is treating him well, if he gives it to Lil, he's another idiot in a show of idiots.

Once again, Lil mentions retiring!!! Retiring from what exactly??? I wonder if this woman ever even had a job.

Well, SpanProf I hope you're staying warm up there. It's absolutely freezing here in Kansas City, coldest it has ever been since I moved here in 2007. Negative temps for days in a row and going to stay cold until next week! Steve, I'm sure it's warmer in Texas!

"VINO" HIGHLIGHTS DISCUSSION:

Darcy: The sooner Carito takes Creepy Miguel away, the better.

Slippery Juan is going to plan one final scheme against Jackass David & Co.,

Vino. I totally agree with everything you said about Miguel, Luci, David and Susan, Darcy! And I also think that Leon and Sonia are an incredibly sweet couple. It also looks as if both are on track for successful professional careers. So positive! This episode seemed like yet another rehash of all the previous problems most of these characters have been having. We now have only 3 episodes to somehow get rid of Graciela, Lilian, and Juan, get Luci and David back together and find someone nice for Miguel. There may be a lot of those "time-passing" scenes. I'm certainly getting tired of Graciela's "nervous" episodes. At least these last episodes should be action packed (one hopes). The weather is also horrible here, Darcy. I can hardly wait for Monday, when it is finally just above freezing. How my standards have lowered since my California childhood and youth! :)

"VINO" HIGHLIGHTS DISCUSSION:

Darcy, SpanProf & Co: Slippery Juan slithered his way into the mansion by taunting Crazy Whacky Blonde non-stop on the supposed wedding day festivities.

Jackass David speaking with Cesar, Susan & Co., plus we see Adolfo attending the supposed wedding day festivities too along with FerBrat, Bobby, Sonia, LionCub, Carito, Tano, Roman including several others such as the Judge, who was planning on officiating the supposed wedding day festivities between Jackass David & Crazy Whacky Blonde.

Of course, we get an annoying diet of Luciana crying BLAH-BLAH-BLAH-BLAH-BLAH-BLAH! Marta comforting her of course. Plus Creepy Miguel getting crazy & aggressive.

Slippery Juan shows Lillian the phone video showing Crazy Whacky Blonde killing Gullible Perla. Lillian demands to know what's happening.

In the meantime, FerBrat is about to head upstairs to see what's keeping Crazy Whacky Blonde up.

Then the bombshell: Slippery Juan reveals Crazy Whacky Blonde killed Santa Lisa & with that we're out....... because tomorrow afternoon will be intriguing to watch!

Vino

Okay first things first, you are a million+ over budget for you wedding and it's taking place in your own backyard??? Fern did say there was a party at another location, that party better be stunning.... though I don't think we'll be seeing it!

Luci cries again! Ugh!!! Miguel is being a creep again, double ugh. Miguel keeps saying he loves Luci, but he doesn't. If he loved her, he would have compassion on her broken heart instead of throwing a fit because he's not getting what he wants! Come to think of it, both men who claim to love Luci have treated her poorly and without compassion. David is supposed to be her one true love, but he's treated Gracie - who he's supposedly only putting up with for dinero, better than he treated Luci.

Marta's advice is just bad as always, I really can't stand listening to her. It's too much to hope that she gets an anvil since she's supposedly good, but I would love to see it!

There's something I been meaning to comment for days, why didn't Gracie just tell the police where Juan was hiding? Way back before she even murdered Perla? It was the obvious way to get him out of her way and until she started losing it, Gracie was smart and cunning, I would think she would have thought of it. No one would have believed Juan prior to the videotaped killing of Perla. Oh well, too late now! Juan arrived and brought the fireworks and I was cheering when he appeared! We just got the beginning tease today, but stuff is going down tomorrow!!! Finally! Kimberly dos Ramos was excellent in this episode once again!

Okay, about the wedding attire.... it was so weird to me. Gracie looks gorgeous, dress, hair, makeup; absolutely perfect. Susan too looked beautiful. Carito too looked lovely. Fernanda's dress is beautiful - but her hair?? It looked way to casual for the dress and the event. Sonia's makeup looked great, but her dress? Tano looks like it's casual Friday at work, David looks like he's headed to a business meeting instead of a wedding... you know in a way it makes sense that these people can't dress appropriately for a wedding. I guess I shouldn't comment further.

Man, those last minutes were explosive!! I am actually looking forward to watching tomorrow and seeing what happens next!

"VINO" HIGHLIGHTS DISCUSSION:

EPISODE#143:

Darcy & SpanProf: Looking forward to seeing the downfall of Crazy Whacky Blonde, Lillian & Slippery Juan later this afternoon.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the look on the faces of David, FerBrat, Bobby & Co., once the truth about the death of Santa Lisa is revealed!

Vino. Great observations as usual, Darcy! I wouldn't look for logic in this plot though. :) It's obvious that Juan is out for revenge rather than money. Otherwise, since Graci is now about 3/4 of the way to her $2 million goal, he would give her a couple of more days to get the rest, especially since he has already hinted that that will not be the end of his blackmailing her in their lifetimes. I was little surprised that Lilian did come through for Graciela, but then was "rewarded" by learning that Graci not only murdered Perla but her own sister. I suppose today we will see the fallout from that. Otherwise, this episode still seemed slow moving, especially the "night-before-the-wedding" scenes. Interesting that there will be a judge, not a priest presiding over the wedding. Maybe the writers don't realize that we don't have a double system here, unlike Mexico and some European countries. Also, unless things have changed, to marry the sister of a dead wife, it's necessary to get a dispensation from the Catholic Church. I had a Portuguese-American friend in high school whose father had had to do that when his first wife died and eventually he married her younger sister. That mix of attire for weddings seems to be the norm now. My younger daughter's wedding was pretty formal, but her husband wore a nice grey suit, not a tux, and guests wore everything from tuxes to casual clothes + nice jacket (her husband's cattle-rancher uncle).

Vino. I loved that evil look on Kimberly Dos Ramos's face at the end of the episode. Yep, she is an excellent actress.
